Sunday afternoon drinks and snacks

By Sheryl B |

We enjoy Cover 3 on Sunday afternoons when my husband wants a shot and a beer and a burger. The food is really good and I really love the pork lettuce rolls. The homewrecker hot dogs is also really good but HUGE and you need to eat it with a knife and fork and can easily share it.

Always a Favorite

By Milaka F |

I've been to Cover 3 several times and it does not disappoint. The service has always been pleasant and prompt and the food is very, very good. This last time (Sunday, January 15) was exceptional. Our waiter, Byron, was hilarious and took wonderful care of us - especially after I spilled my water. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar. It can get loud (and fun!) during a big game. As for kids - I would say that older kids might enjoy it. I think it's not a great fit for little ones.

Good food slow service

By MistiATX |

I really like to come here for business meetings because it's not too loud and the food has always tasted great. However, service can be very slow and is not good for people with busy schedules and crunched for time. I had a meeting here recently and one of my guests requested to have our order rushed as he only had an hour. He ordered a salad, I ordered a salad and our third guest ordered a salad. After almost 40 minutes of waiting our food finally came out and he had to ask to have his food placed in a to go bag and he had to leave.

Great breakfast

By Joe C |

We love this place when in the Austin area. The food is always very good and the staff extremely friendly. We decided to try the breakfast on this visit. The Migas were excellent, some of the best we have tasted anywhere. They scored big with the Breakfast Enchiladas and Eggs and Eggs Commodore. It is a great place if you like to watch sports without sound. I only remember sound from TV once when we were there and it was during the Longhorn game. It is a great casual place to eat.

Exceptional staff, food & service

By nchurchill |

Our family (4) adults and our dog (Darcee) were able to enjoy this fabulous establishment on their covered patio this past Friday evening. We sat at a picnic table with an outdoor heater overhead - which was perfect for a cool February evening. Our waitress was awesome - so efficient, helpful and friendly. We even had a visit from the warm and handsome owner. The food was also amazing - we wanted to return the next night but we were in Georgetown and were too hungry plus it was getting late. But, we shall return the next time we're in the area - it's that good. Thanks for such a great evening and making us feel like family.

Nice sports bar

By Paul S |

Visited for a late lunch. Our party ordered a variety of items from the menu and everyone was satisfied. I like the environment and found the staff attentive and helpful. The Pyrat Mojito was tasty and a nice companion to the meal.

Good sports bar--the food was just ok

By Liz S |

Went to Cover 3 on Super Bowl Sunday with hubby and a friend. The beer was good (decent selection) but the food was less to my liking. We had some lettuce wraps (very salty) and sliders. The sirloin sliders were especially mediocre. Plain meat and one kind of sauce. Kind of like a little naked burger (no lettuce, onion, pickle--like they did not even try). I don't know why I was asked how I wanted them cooked because the little pre-formed patty (taken out of a freezer) was too think to be cooked any way but "done." They looked cheap and they tasted cheap. Please work on this.

Great place to hang while waiting for Alamo movie

By offseasonfun |

Happy hour is good. Prices could be better. Food is very tasty. Lots of sports on tv's. good wine selection.

This is a higher end sports bar that wants to bring in cool people to meet. food is fresh and nice, not inexpensive, but dark inviting environment

Poor service

By Cindy W |

Got take out. The receipt gave you an option to do 18, 20, or 22% (taking a phone order). I gave a good tip, took the food out and there wasn’t plastic ware or even napkins. What happened to service?!! What is a tip for?

Great for families with teens

By Susie A |

Food is always outstanding at Cover 3 - with all of the sporting events broadcast throughout the venue, teens can find things to watch while waiting for the food to be delivered. TIP: order the Triple with queso, salsa and guacamole for the table to share. TIP: for a lighter supper, order the Ahi Tuna appetizer to eat as your entree.

Service and food availability is TERRIBLE-don't eat here !!

By hhgreen01 |

The last 2 times I've tried to order the Gulf Snapper with Crab, you've been out....how can you not have a feature item on an early Saturday evening ?? What I ended up having to order was all wrong !! I've eaten at the Anderson Ln location since it OPENED, however, after today (7-16-16), NEVER again. I'll go bowling next door !

Food & Service Excellent, Consistent

By zxwtm |

Frequently we go to Cover 3. Have eaten many things on the menu. Have always been pleased both with service and food. As an appetizer order the "Green Chile Beef Nachos" or the "Shrimp & Oysters" (for all shrimp, without the oysters). We think it is the best fried shrimp in town. Either appetizer can be a meal. The hamburger or other salads are outstanding. Try their shrimp enchiladas for another delicious meal. On the weekends, there is a brunch with eggs done many ways along with "eggs benedict" with a very tasty hollandaise & very good muffins. It is all moderately priced, with food preparation and service consistency.

First Wedding Anniversary at the Sports Bar

By Aprille B |

The Brick Chicken Mac and Cheese left much to be desired. It was topped with sprinkles of red pepper much like that you get at Pizza Hut. The bacon on top was too chewy and hard; while the chicken itself was moist inside but flavorless and covered in an outer layer of fat that was inedible. We also had the bowl of chili, which is not regular Texas-style chili. It is brisket meat in a mole' like sauce and had a deep variety of unidentifiable flavors. We could only eat half- partly due to the richness and partly due to the strange spice (especially mixed with the mac and cheese). A+ for atmosphere. C for service. Lack of local stout beer is a negative.

Great Eats

By Jack S |

We had a wonderful dinner at Cover 3 in Austin. The Service was great, food delicious. As the name implies the atmosphere is very sports friendly. I had to explain to my wife what cover 3 is using the glasses and silverware on the table. We had a shrimp enchilada and steak salad, delicious and not expensive. My sister had the calamari and she loved it. Hope to visit Cover 2 on our next visit.

Best teriyaki wings

By thepapatee |

This was a wonderful change. The server and staff were the best. The waiter answered all our questions about the menu and the best items to eat. The weeks wings were the teriyaki ones. They were huge and super delicious. My bride ordered the “tower”. What a wonderful change to seafood. We ordered our usual Papa T beverage. 1/2 glass of Weissen Beer and 1/2 glass of lemonade. Loved the nice tap beer. Our baby granddaughter was great, she loved the food and the waiter.

Very good food and service

By jesfire415 |

On our second visit to cover 3 the general manager Scott met us outside of the restaurant and escorted us to our table. All the meals served at cover-3 are made from scratch. One of my favorite sides is the coleslaw made with slices of Apple to give it a nice crunchy taste. On our last visit we tried the chicken and beef nachos and the nachos are incredible!! The nachos are served with a white creamy cheese, avocado, black beans, chicken, and beef. Our server Byron was friendly and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxing and a great place to catch a game. Cover 3 should be on anybody's game plan for a great meal!

We Celebrated two 21St Birthdays

By Pilar H |

It was very nice Sport Bars to Enjoy two 21st Birthday Parties. I would recommend people to go to this nice upper class sports bar.

Best cosmo I've ever had

By Alexis B |

We went to this restaurant to watch Game 5 of the NBA finals. It was a great atmosphere for this type of sports event and the food was AMAZING. Seriously the best cosmo I've ever had!

Nice neighborhood sports bar with above average food

By rustycat83 |

Upscale, neighborhood sports bar in North Austin. Good bar scene and nice upper floor bar area. Many large flat panel televisions tuned to major sporting events, but most of the crowd seems to be there for the drinks, atmospher and food. The food is good, but not great. Better and more unique items include the fish tacos and the tuna burger. Great place to grab a bite with family or friends after work. Tends to get very crowded with a long wait after 6:30pm and weekends. Recommend making a reservation.

Sports Bar With Great Food

By Jim T |

There are a ton of TVs all around, a full bar, outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The food ranges from soups (including excellent chili--no beans) and salads to good burgers and Mexican offerings (enchiladas, nachos, etc.) and steaks. Service is friendly. Nice decor as well.

Best "Sports Bar" restaurant

By MuchoTravel |

Went there to have a average experience while watching some hoops. Turned out to be a excellent restaurant masquerading as a sports bar. Loud fun atmosphere but excellent quality food. Had the Shrimp Lumb Crab meat towner for appetizer and gulf snapper for entree. Outstanding. Rasberry tea a bit tart, but probably because it was the real deal. Best recommendation I can give..? Next time I go back to Austin, I am coming here. You will not be disappointed.

Get place to watch sports!

By Mary V |

This is a great place to watch sports and have a good meal. The menu is expansive, lots to pick from. I usually just order from the appetizers are I'll share a meal, because there just that big!

Good food, Bad service

By jesfire415 |

Our first visit to Cover 3 was both a good and bad experience. The good part was the food. My son ordered the eggs benedict and he said that was good. I ordered the chicken burgers with coleslaw. The chicken was spicy and tender with good flavor it was served on a very light Aerie bun. The coleslaw was excellent it had small pieces of Walnut and sliced Apple which gave it an excellent taste and texture. The bad part of our visit was the waiter Jeff. Jeff made us feel unwelcome was not friendly and barely spoke. We spoke to the management about the service and he did apologize and gave us a around of drinks. I'm not sure that we will be back

Tasteful sports bar/restaurant

By CoastWhisperer |

The atmosphere is tasteful, and so is the food! This is a casual yet semi-upscale sports bar, and there are plenty of big screens so most tables are prime spots for watching your favorite teams. There is also a nice outdoor patio. Food selection is varied, with the burgers being A+ IMO. I've liked everything I've tried on the menu, honestly. The food is a little on the pricey side, however, they have happy hour during the week, and on Tuesdays they run HH all night long on certain drinks and appetizers, which makes it affordable. It is a really nice restaurant/bar with a sophisticated touch without being uppity or pretentious.

Excellent food in a great atmosphere

By KLake |

There were four of us who ate here and everyone said there was fresh and excellent. We recommend the Rueben sandwich (Huge. You need to unhinge your jaw for this one). Another favorite was the brick chicken mac and cheese. The surloin sliders were made to order. The cole slaw was dressed up too, with nuts and apples and a tangy sweet sauce. Three of us left with take home containers.

Something on the menu for everyone!

By DRip2014 |

From their delicious burgers to their other food specialties, this restaurant should be on your "got to try" list. Their assortment of burgers(I ordered their chop house burger and it was over the top... Added cheese and bacon to this already sumptious burger which is served with delicious parmesan crusted french fries. also order their onion soup which was excellent. A great selection makes this a must try stop for your next dining experience.

Good lunch

By Teffy72 |

This place is great! Food is fresh and delicious, creative. We had the Chicken Tinga Nachos, so good. Also, cheese enchiladas. There is a variety to choose from: hamburgers, Mexican, fish! Kids enjoyed their meal too. Very modern looking, but relaxed atmosphere inside!

Really great...

By BTMNSP |

I had resisted trying this place for years because I feared the roar of the sports bar. Shame on me! The ambiance is nice and the noise wasn't bad. The food is fabulous!!!!! We had a wide array of items - chicken fried steak, nachos, salad, to fish. All perfect. Great cocktails. And the brownie Sundae was a meal for six (well worth every calorie). Just go. You'll leave happy.

Lots of Yum and Fun

By Jane S |

Cover 3 is a sports bar and restaurant. The buzz was roaring when we arrived and the big screens were beaming action into the crowd. The look is upscale, but minimalist. Very comfy, though. We attended a fundraiser in their upstairs party room and stayed for dinner. The party room was very nice - lots of big couches and such, but someone in our party wasn't up for ordering appetizers - thank goodness! Hubby had shrimp tacos and our buddy a burger. I ordered Sauteed Gulf Snapper with Fresh Blue Crab. Everyone else was very happy with their choices, but I’ve got to tell you, I was BEYOND happy.

Good lunch meeting spot

By Michael R |

Wide selection, gluten free options, attentive staff and convenient location. Bar atmosphere with TVs and various types of seating.

Good food & ambience

By Jennifer G |

Cover 3 is a great place to eat! They have a combination of different types of food! Perfect for a date or a night out with friends! It's also just a walk away from the Goodnight!

I am saving this location in my GPS

By tiggerock |

My friend told me this place is good so I went with someone very special. I called in & made a reservation (which I really liked), asked a corner booth where is quite. I think this place has 3 different sections. 1. casual 2. Bar 3. Formal. As soon as you walk in there are wooden tables & chairs on your left, bar front very nice round sectional leather booths on your right. So you can dress casual or fancy and this place will still work for anyone. Ladys, just take a jacket with you because it will be pretty cold inside Cover 3. They turned on the air-conditioning so high, we ended up moved our table to outside patio. Apparently the outside patio tables get booked really quick so make sure you called in & make the reservation for outside sitting. Well, lucky us we took the last table. I really like this place atmosphere & the sitting layout. We ordered Chilled crab & shrimp tower & Seared Ahi Tuna. Chilled C&S Tower was really good but make sure your order more crackers. Seared Ahi Tuna was good to but I will chose the other one. Drink was nice too. All I can say about this place is "Sexy"

Hamburgers are the best!

By josephedward71 |

Tasty burgers, great fries, good variety of veggies, and terrific wedge salads. All reasonably priced. The place can get a little noisy but it is a sports bar.

An okay dining experience

By paulwilj |

It turned out to be a sort of sports bar with emphasis of the bar and not so much the sports. The wife and I split a Ruben sandwich, it was huge and enough for both of us. It was only average in taste. The fries, however, were unique and very tasty.

Sorta Sports Bar

By TravelerFromPerth |

Food was good. Service was good. $10 top shelf Margarita's? Come on small glass, 70% ice and very little to no alcohol yet our bar bill was $200. Just drink beer, the bar is a joke.

Seriously, the best sports bar I've ever been to.

By Nancy F |

We went with another couple last night to watch the championship game and have dinner. The game was completely boring, so it was good that the restaurant more exciting. There's a lot to like about this place: (1) they take reservations (2) they don't mind if you camp out at a table for a whole football game (3) the reserve wine list is impressive (4) the food is quite tasty (5) free wifi. We all had the appetizer trio mentioned by the previous reviewer. I enjoyed both the Queso and the Guacamole and was quite pleased that they didn't go overboard with the cilantro. To each her own. The wine was excellent, not your average offerings in a sports bar. We all had the Brick Chicken and I don't think there was one little bite left on a single plate! We had the brownie for dessert. Wow! So good! This is a very upscale sports bar/restaurant- a heavy silverware and cloth napkin kind of place, BUT blue jeans are not out of place. Like a sports bar, it is a bit noisy. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other menu choices- and I am not a sports fan! I am a wine and food fan who wouldn't mind tagging along if this is where we're going!

Great food-great vibe

By sightseeker29 |

I had my first Mexican Martini here and I'm told this drink is an Austin exclusive. It similar to a margarita with olive juice and it's quite good. We also had the snapper and it was great. Everyone enjoyed it. We topped the evening off with a giant brownie. Yum! The servers and staff were super friendly. I would definitely go back!

Watered down drinks

By Marcia J |

Very disappointed with our first experience at Cover 3. We were looking forward to an evening out with family. We got off to a good start with a delicious appetizer, then the drinks came. One person in our party ordered a Mojito, it tasted like club soda and lime juice, not a hint of rum. When we asked the waiter about the lack of rum in the drink, we were giving the option of paying for a "floater"! Seriously?!?? Then our meals came, mediocre at best. The prime rib that the waiter described as "stupid good" was "stupid tough"!!!

Checked it out

By Don M |

I am new to the area and was told this would be a great place to meet new people and talk to them. It's a nice place, but is more or less a higher class sports bar. Very noisy. Drinks were reasonable, but since I go there a few minutes after 7pm, I'm not sure why one drink was $5.75 and the other one was $7.75. But I am used to paying $7.00+ so no problem, just not sure why there was a price difference. Had a caesar salad with salmon which was priced fine and was very good. Will go back again, but only to watch football, not to mingle.

Birthday Dinner

By Andiekcarrs |

The service was fast and the food was great! I loved the atmosphere. It wasn't loud in there, which made it easy to talk across the table with family. We had a party of 15 on a Saturday night. I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to going back for date nights with the hubby!

Cover 3 is a very good sports bar with good food.

By mr_larry_smith |

Cover 3 is a staple for sports watching. Today we came for lunch and while the tables were perhaps half occupied there was a wait. The parking, table service, menu and food were very good.

High end sports bar

By Terrell |

This restaurant can best be described as a combination restaurant/sports bar. The menu is a plethora of great food items, making it hard to decide on what to order. Not only is it a great place for dinner, it is a great place for lunch or week-end brunch. Try the Reuben and request a doggie bag with it. Do the Bloody Mary and Mimosa self serve at brunch. This is a place to kickback and enjoy yourself. As it's in a strip center, there is plenty of parking.

Best Food for Restaurant with Watchable TV's

By Ted H |

You don't have to fight the local sports bars to enjoy a game and great food. Cover3 and Cover2 make it so easy to have a wonderful experience without getting your neighboring tables food slung on your plate! Reasonable pricing and Albert, the chef, is great! Get reservations and try either one for the next big game!

Favorite sports bar in Austin

By Heather V |

The thing that really makes Cover 3 stand out from the rest is the focus on the total experience. Yes, you do have the big screen TVs that any true sports bar should, but they are featured in a beautiful restaurant with fantastic food. I've been coming here for as long as it's been open and this location is still my favorite. The brick chicken mac and cheese, the buffalo chicken sandwiches, and the nachos are some of the best you'll find in Austin. Occasionally the crafting of drinks at the bar isn't as good as you would hope, but everything else is rather solid.

Lively sports bar

By dogstargems |

Be prepared for noise and lots of folks and lots of TV's, but hey its a sports bar with good food. Good burgers and a good menu.

Great Burgers

By hloiselle |

Nice atmosphere, casual dining, excellent service, the bacon jam burger was great and the Parmesan fries heavenly.

Delicious Brunch

By Steve D |

We came to Cover 3 for brunch. I ordered the Eggs Tournedos. The filet was well done, would've been better medium but it had a good flavor. The poached eggs were fantastic! The country fried potatoes were very tasty. The bloody Mary bar had quite a selection. The service was friendly but slow. The prices are comparable to other restaurants that serve brunch. It was a quiet, relaxing meal which was nice. They have outdoor seating and several TV's for watching football.

good food, bad service

By wmloeb |

Having had dozens of awesome meals at Cover 3, they recently have been losing a step...or two. And they really let me down today. The food, excellent as usual. The cocktails a solid B+. But the service was terrible. And this The hostess was just the right side of surly, but not by much. The waitress seemed hung over. Drinks sat at the bar, undelivered for minutes while she disappeared. ALl in all, the front of the house is not doing well at all. The back of the house is still top notch. This review could apply to the 6th street location too. I used to love Cover 3. But progress, their rapid expansion, is not serving them well. Back when the owners were in the building, things ran great. Well success is threatening to bring down a formerly excellent restaurant. Sad Very sad

Such a great place!

By Shalynn |

Cover 3 is fast becoming my husband's and my favorite restaurant in Austin. We really like the atmosphere. Even though there are big screens for sports watching, it doesn't have a sports bar feel at all. The food is really great, too! If you can, go early, especially on Friday and Saturday, to beat the Happy Hour crowd. We almost always order the Triple as an advisor - awesome chips plus guacamole, salsa, and white cheese. You could really make a meal for two just by order a couple of appetizers, but the entrees are also good. The salads are great (the Allandale is my favorite). My husband loves the hamburgers and fries. The brownie dessert is AMAZING! It is huge with ice cream, caramel and nuts. After a movie, you could just go for this plus some good wine (great list!) I really recommend Cover 3!

Upscale pub sports bar

By quicktraveler91 |

We visited for lunch on a Saturday and had the option for brunch as well as main menu. We had the oysters over poached eggs and the cover salad. These were both very good. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. Looks like a good place to visit at happy hour and game day.

Great food; nice sports venue

By Moved2Texas |

I visited Cover 3 with some out of town business associates. It was a great spot to go for people with varying tastes. I have been here before and never had a bad meal. This time I had the grilled trout which was great. One guest had the scallops and enjoyed them and another had a huge buffalo chicken salad which looked delicious. I started my meal with a Cover 3 salad including apples, pecans, greens and some nice veggies. Cover 3 is an upscale sports bar that serves nice appetizers including sliders quesadillas and others, but also features some upscale dinner dishes. There are lots of TV's and a nice bar. Also, they have an upstairs mezzanine that can be used for private parties. I have been here for Christmas parties in years past. This was a great place to take out of town business associates to enjoy a choice of Tex Mex or just some great food. It was a hit with my guests and also for me. Hope to get back again soon.

family friendly

This is What Every "Sports Bar" Should Strive To Be

By Divemastergirl |

My husband and I went here for Sunday Breakfast on our way out of Austin. We knew almost immediately that this place would be special, and indeed it is. The vibe is casual, but easily elegant. The food is--in one word--fantastic. (One cannot usually say that about a Sunday Brunch at a Sports Bar, but this place is truly more than a Sports Bar.) We both had the "Eggs Wonderful," which they were. (Think a very expertly-prepared Benedict, with delicately fried oysters.) My husband availed himself of their cool make-your-own Bloody Mary Bar, while I (designated driver) stuck with the coffee, and didn't suffer at all for it. They have a spectacular space for private events, a Reserve wine list along with a very respectable regular one, some outdoor seating, and appropriately-sized, well-placed televisions for every sporting event that is happening. This place is great even if you don't watch sports. These owners are clearly passionate about food, love sports, and tolerate neither mediocre drink nor service. Cover 3 is one of a kind, inspired, and I imagine could easily become almost anyone's "go-to" place.

A Welcome Addition to the Stone Oak area

By Bill M |

Have been here for both lunch and dinner. The food is good to very good, the atmosphere as expected for a sports bar but far classier. Good amount of TV's and they have always gotten the game we were interested in on the screen for us. Service was prompt and very good. Outside deck is great when the weather is nice.

Great food, good ambiance, good service

By Wes08 |

Menu is varied, with an assortment of favorite foods, and with many appetizers that could be entrees. All of our appetizers and entrees were very good. Drinks also well prepared and good happy hour discount prices. Waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient. Almost full, on a weekday evening, the numbers attest to quality and popularity.

Sports Bar

By Paul L |

The wings were good, little different, dry rub spicy ranch. The salad was very good, it had avocado, walnuts, chicken, red onions with a vinegar dressing. The homemade brownie with vanilla ice cream was a monster. 2 people didn't even put a dent in it.

Gift Card Lunch

By pdSixty8 |

I had a gift card in my desk for a while and knew I was going to be in the area so I took it with me. I park and walk in seeing a busy lunch crowd and originally going to get takeout. But once I sat at the bar and seeing others enjoying beers and food I decided to stay here to eat. I got a local beer on tap and studied the menu. They had a lunch menu of which I ordered cheese enchiladas. The place is very nice and upper scale. The bartender is helpful and made me feel very welcomed. Either the chef or owner was at the bar chatting with regulars and everyone seemed happy feeling this place is doing well. My food arrived and looked and smelled great. It tasted very good with no complaints. I used my gift card to pay and thought it only had a few bucks, but it was loaded. Plenty left to return for another great lunch.

Pleasant surprise!

By KeyConcierge |

I only had the soup and sandwich combo but they were ideal: Small onion soup and great 1/2 Reuben sandwich. Every item on the table of 6 looked good. Service was attentive and fast. Soft drinks were constantly refreshed. This is a good reasonably price spot on Anderson Ln. to watch a game or just have a get together.

Good food, good service, west 6th street locale

By 5Starr4Me |

Met a client for lunch. Free valet, nice location except traffic around lunch time on 6th street and anywhere downtown is a mess. Friendly greeter, very fast and friendly service. Menu looked fun, couldn't decide between the half Ruben or the Burritto. Waiter said Burritto was a crowd favorite. I chose that. It was a big portion, I could not finish. Client had a burger, he devoured it, he was hungry or it was that good. The place is ccool looking. Lots of TV's. Probably busy at night and for games. Drink specials and dinner menu looked good. Not sure how to name the food style..

We were there to watch football

By Sandra G |

We were there to watch football and lucked out in our choice of sports bar. Terrific menu and great service. They asked what game we were there to see and seated us in a good viewing location for our specific game. Then came the menu. An over abundance of good choices! We had the lettuce wedge and wings. Lots of good beer choices and a great wine menu along with a number of special house cocktail options

Very accommodating and good food

By Joe C |

Service was wonderful and the kitchen handled all of our special requests with no problems. We went on a Saturday night to watch the Heisman Trophy Award and they turned most of the screens to view the award. Nice touch since it is Longhorn land and an Aggie won the award. It is definitely someplace I will go again when visiting Austin.

Finally some flare in North Austin

By Sara O |

ok, so I want to start by saying that I want to give it 3 1/2 stars. It's better than average, but not all the way to very good. We had the Brick Chicken Mac and Cheese, which we've had at the sister restaurant, Cover2 and it was great. My friend got the Mahi Mahi fish tacos . .. Ehhhh not so great. The breading on the fish was overpoweringly bland if that makes any kind of sense. Didn't enjoy those. I got the Chicken Tinga enchiladas, weeeeee, so good!! We also got the trio sampler as an app, queso is fantastic, salsa is good, the guac needed lime and maybe a little salt. We had the strawberry basil lemonades . . . REAlly good, but too expensive, I think that they were $9 a pop which seemed excessive. We will be back though because we've been so devoid of a good place in this neighborhood. I think it will continue to thrive. It would be a great place to have a party. I noticed a private banquet room in the back when I went to the restroom, so that is a plus.

Father and Daughter Brunch

By Robert H |

My daughter and I did brunch at Cover-3. Their special Eggs Benedict was perfectly prepared with a hollandaise sauce that had the right texture for my taste. Specifically, the sauce was not as thick as most and I prefer it that way. Additionally, the coffee was the best I've had since I was last in Oregon! Finally, don't leave without eating the cinnamon and chocolate chip muffin tops.

Always an excellent experience here!

By RonOAustin_Texas |

I've tried many entrees at Cover 3 and they are always top notch. Salads, burgers, fish, chicken...they're all great. Sports fans like all the TVs but it's also a great for business and family meals. Service is excellent too!

Good food, a bit pricey for the location, good for business meetings

By Michael R |

The catered room is good for business meetings, the restaurant seems a bit pricy for the location and competitors.

Swanky Upscale Sports Bar

By Brian M |

While this is a sports bar per se, that name conjures up thoughts of many TV monitors, sticky floors, big guys with beer guts and the ol' backwards baseball cap attire. Cover 3 is anything but that. Think of it first as a upscale bar (but unpretentious) with quality decor, outstanding food, great service ... then throw in a few big screens - which BTW is not overdone. It is an Austin original. They have a large wood bar, locally brewed beer and over 80 wines. The Sunday brunch is a solid 9 on a 10 scale. You can mix your own at the Bloody Mary bar (they bring you the vodka of your choice). Bring the kids too since the large semi-circle booths will keep them contained.

Never had a bad plate of food

By AIJ2015 |

The appetizers and C3 Margarita are the best. The tinga nachos and lettuce wraps have great flavor. The service is great.

The Place is nice..........but the food is delicious!.

By Samurai10 |

I love this restaurant, They have an excellent environment. You can watch the NFL, Soccer, Beisbol and NBA games. They have a TVs. They have an excellent bar. You can tasted different kinds of beers. They have a delicious appetizers like a Nachos with Beef. But every dish that I ordered there was great. The service is good. In sometime you need to make a reservation. I will recommend you!.

Reliable tasty food and drink with a menu to suit many tastes

Cover-3 could be anywhere in the USA but it offers a pleasant ambiance for eating and drinking with friends, or watching sport on one of the many TV screens. Our experience (at the one on Anderson Ln in Austin) on a Sunday late-morning was very good service (prompt and friendly), fresh and tasty food, a huge menu, good value bar drinks. We didn't make use of the Bloody Mary bar but the mimosas (small glass $4) were very nice. We ate off the brunch menu, which is extensive, as well as the full menu. All the food was very good, large portions, and looked great on the plate. If you're in NW Austin and looking for something reliable with a menu to suit many different tastes, Cover-3 will do the trick nicely.

Love this place

Cool visit on a hot afternoon

By Johnny W |

Had a quick afternoon meal on a Sunday with another couple. We visited the location on 6th Street West. Light crowd this time of day with several sports events on the many screens. Shared a burger and fries with my wife and was plenty for a light meal. Sliders and snapper were the choices of our friends. All meals were very tasty. Wine and beer completed our meal. Not our first visit and will not be our last.

Consistent and good

Good food for a sports bar. Love the jerk wings. Great happy hour food and prices. This place is next to my new office and a few of us go over the fairly often at the end of the work day. Experience is consistent. Nice atmosphere.

Hire servers that are as good as the food please

By Nytex1130 |

Rated only for food, it would be hands down five stars. Rated for service only, a 2. Went there with my daughter for brunch on Saturday, she had migas and I had the new Reuben style eggs Benedict which was outstanding. Food served nice and hot, too. My daughter went to the Bloody Mary bar which was chock full of great accompaniments for your drink- bacon, shrimp, pickled okra, veggies, a jillion hot sauces. The menu didn’t make clear, though, that this bar is extra $$, and neither did the server, and when I asked for clarification she seemed irritated. The tea server spilled my iced tea all over the table and I helped wipe up with my napkin- and again our main server seemed a little peeved when I asked for a new napkin. It was hard to get her attention and my feeling throughout the meal from her was that we were an impediment to her work rather than being the reason for it. Mixed feelings about the layout of the restaurant- restrooms first hard to find, then you have to negotiate through a waiters work station area to get back to them. It does seem family friendly-there were a lot of kids and families on Saturday for brunch/lunch. . I reward good and friendly service with a large tip, but left the minimum this time around.

Always good eats

This was our last night in town and after a day of running around we decided to go to someplace we have been before in a relaxed setting. We have never experience a bad meal at this location. The Rueben is one of the best I have had anywhere, stacked high with flavorful meat. I really like their Parmesan Fries and Macaroni n Cheese also. My wife ordered the Crab Tower and it was a hit with her. The service was great as always making sure our water glasses were full and the same for the wine. Friendly and attentive service as we have come to expect.

Stay away from the corned beef hash

By LParnell |

Nice sports bar with lots of TVs. Ordered the corned beef hash. Not good at all. Lacked flavor and over cooked. We also ordered a spicy tuna sushi like dish as an appetizer. It was not spicy. But the blueberry muffin was good.

Good Food, Fast Service

By austinite1982 |

Took a friend here for lunch for birthday. The service was good and fast for us. They kept filling our tea and water which made us very happy. Great hamburger...good tasting and big. The parmesan fries were also delicious. We started with the onion soup. I really liked it because it doesn't seem so salty as others in the Austin area. My guest complaint was not enough onions and all at bottom. Mine was perfect for me. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was also very big and tasty. The atmospher was inviting and you could see a TV from almost anywhere you sit. We'd definitely go back again.

The food was amazing!

By Simone S |

I was not a fan of the strange ambiance. It had a romantic setting with flat screen TVs every 10 feet, so it seemed like it was a bit confused as to whom the audience it was marketing to might be. It could be a great date place, but I did notice a man watching sports and his date seemed bored. When I got my food however, I realized that this was basically just a really great FOOD place, so the ambience really didn't matter. I loved my trout and I know you will too!

Great Service

By Mary J |

We went for lunch while we were visiting Austin and looking for a place to eat. It was a Saturday and not very crowded. The large screen tv's were tuned in to the big football games. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We started with the calamari which also included some fried artichokes and a small salad. It was very crispy, hot, and delicious. We then split a Reuben sandwich which was also very good. They also have a weekend brunch that we would like to try sometime.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere

We ate brunch at Cover 3. The food was really tasty. My partner had the Chicken with Macaroni and Cheese. Very good dish from what he described. I had the Chicken club sandwich which was excellent. The menu seemed to have a dish for everyone. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend Cover 3.

Good food and good service plus the Sports of your choice on lots of TVs

By Bill78727 |

Met friends at Cover 3 before the Texas vs ISU game on Saturday. Drinks and beer was cold and had great service in the bar area watching several games on the many TV that are 360 degrees around. Every big game was on. Had the Triple app of guacamole, queso and salsa with very good chips. Ordered the Fried Chicken sliders with seasoned fries and jalapeno cream gravy. A great taste combination. Split a large iceberg wedge salad that was big enough for three people. Plenty of room in a large space and options for larger groups. Staff friendly and helpful.

MOST DIFFICULT TIME BUYING GIFT CARD/ OWNERS ABSENTEE

By Gretchen M |

I visited San Antonio and had a wonderful meal with family and friends. I called the next week to purchase a gift card for a colleague. After 9 phone calls it was finally ordered with tracking information. I asked to speak to one of the owners and they told me they were unavailable. I asked if one could call me and was told they could not and were out of town for a while. I emailed and asked to speak to an owner and they finally told me that one would contact me. They never did. I wonder if they know how hard it is to spend money in their restaurant. I have a business and family in San Antonio and would have liked the opportunity to purchase gift cards in the future.

Good Business Dinner Location

By Melanie918 |

Ate here for a late-night dinner with a few business colleagues. Good 'sports bar' vibe, but quiet enough that you can have a conversation and aren't forced to pay attention to the TVs if sports don't interest you. Wide variety of patrons, from business to date-night to family birthday party. Menu trends towards high-end American fare, lots of salads, steak and a fish dishes. Craft brew on tap, plus a full bar. Overall excellent spot for business dining.

Slick and Upbeat

By CowpokerMike |

Cover 3 is an upscale bar and restaurant that has a lot of zing as well as great food and great service. Lots going on , yet not obtrusive. People watching is terrific and food options are plentiful with average size + servings. Feels very upscale, yet popular pricing on most items. Great bar happy hour offerings.

Hip Environment & Wonderful Food

By Tonya B |

Cover-3 has dynamite fish & chips. The cold slaw is the best I have ever had and I am not a fan of cold slaw. Would I order it again.....absolutely!!! They offer a variety of entrees that will even satisfy vegetarians. The atmosphere is alive and exciting.

Cool atmosphere sports bar.

By Golfnuts2018 |

Stopped in for a quick bite and to catch a Dallas Stars hockey game last night. The Rueben sandwich was really good. Parmesan fries, although really thin, were very tasty. Drinks were a little light on the booze or would have given 5 stars.

Good for business lunch

By Michael R |

Good place overall and for business lunches. Attentive servers, quick food, cooked to order. Multiple TVs and seating selection (booth, tables, etc):

A good sports bar/Restaurant on Anderson Lane

By Jonathangreenlee |

I had lunch there and was favorably impressed. they have booths as well sas tables, an outdoor seating area, and lots of TV screens. I had their Allandale salad which was excellent. They had plenty of the usual things on the Menu. This is a good place to eat after a movie at the Theater in the same parking lot.

Great meal

By A.Al3 |

Had the chance to visit this restaurant while on vacation. We were recommended to come here for the shrimp “appetizer” and get it as a meal. This place had a good atmosphere, very clean and good sports family restaurant feel to it. The shrimp were great btw and we would definitely come back here.

Upscale sports bar

By TeenyDeenyTrips |

When I say upscale I don't mean snobby. It was a clean, new sports bar/restaurant with way better food than regular bar food. And the cost was no different! Made reservation to watch Superbowl - staff was VERY accommodating - from manager to hostess to wait staff. Reserved a large table, ate great food, and everyone had full view and sound of the game! Wait staff was very attentive, called us a cab at the end of the night - don't have one negative thing to say about this place. If you are looking for a sports bar that's brighter and cleaner than your average place (with much better food), this is the place to go.

Upscale sports bar

By utretiree |

The food here is consistently good. I've mostly had burgers and salads. The "Allandale" salad is fabulous! The tomato soup is outstanding. Last time I went my friend and I split the brownie desert. A word of caution - you could split it among 4 people!! It's huge!! It's nice to sit outside on a pretty day, although all you get to view is the parking lot. Inside is quite loud most of the time, and of course more-so when there's a good game on. But it's a great neighborhood place to go, not too terribly expensive, and usually pretty good service.

Good for late afternoon or a casual dinner

By grbr07 |

Went there for drinks and dinner. Nice long bar that serves good cocktails. Menu is good with a large variety of choices, salads, burgers, chicken etc. Service is good and fast. Ambience is good for a discussion with TVs playing various sports events. Last call at 11 pm, kitchen closes at 10.30 pm. Parking is available and aces is really easy. Good for weekdays...

Good food, Poor service

By Andrew S |

I've gone here in the past, and it was a fairly decent experience. This recent time, however, was another story. We sat out on the patio, and it took a server 8 minutes to come and greet us. He informed us that they removed the 10 cane Mojito from their menu. Which is the main reason why we go here. So we ordered two waters. That server never came back. Instead another server came around 10 minutes later and asked us if we wanted anything. To which i stated that we still didn't have our waters. This server was a little better, but both of these guys seemed like someone was forcing them to work. They were not barely tolerable, let alone enjoyable. Either way, He brought us out or food, which was alright. Queso was really good, which was the highlight. Their Mahi Tacos were bland. I had the Big Tex burger, and it was a bit slimmy, as if they didn't wash of the black beans before putting them on my sandwich. This is a nice place, however, due to our recent experience and their menu change, I won't be going back.

Great food and fun atmosphere to watch sporting events!

By Bernadette T |

I actually dined at the new Cover 3 restaurant located in Round Rock, TX. It was such a fun experience. The service was great and so was the food. I enjoyed the crab and shrimp tower salad and the Chicken fried Chicken dinner. The waitstaff was so accommodating. We asked them to change the large screen T.V. that was closest to our table so we could watch the NBA finals championship and they did. Overall, Cover 3 is worth the drive to Round Rock, I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

Pretty decent food service VERY slow

By LilysMum0723 |

I enjoyed this place especailly as a sports bar. Wouldn't consider it a place for a romantic evening. Food was good but my entree would have been better with a different sauce. Seem to overpower the flavour of the enchiladas.. The one down fall was the service. Place was busy but not unmanageable but it seemed like forever between acknowledgment, water, order and food being delivered. Typically noisy especially for this type of restaurant. After a few tweaks could be super good,

My favorite place!

By Turtlebug33 |

Cover-3 is our favorite place in town. The overall experience is amazing. The atmosphere can be whatever you want it to be, romantic and quiet, or filled with big screens and sports. I cannot say enough about the food, I have tried quite a few dishes and honestly have loved everything. The service is outstanding, not to mention the bar... Seriously, try it. You will not be disappointed!

Need more gluten free choices

By Joe M |

I have a gluten allergy and they just don't have a big selection of gluten free food. I ended up getting a salad and it was good. very fresh and tasty. It had avocado, bacon, chicken and a few other things. I ate every last bite. The others that were with me loved there meal also. I would just suggest you add a few more gluten free choices. As far as a place to grab a drink. I think it would be perfect.
