Nice typical place

By DueEmme |

Typical Texan place in downtown Dallas with the bar counter where you can also eat. Nice decor and always kind staff. We liked the hamburgers and other dishes we ordered, for example the quesadillas with brisket. Drinks always frozen and air conditioning at maximum....... but this is America! Fantastic!

Chips e hamburger

Nice location in the heart of Dallas: nice, controlled, clean and very cute. Friendliness and friendliness of the top staff. We got a nice burger, accompanied by house chips. Low cost and good flat!

Disappointed

The brisket grilled cheese had very little brisket and the nachos had 5 small pieces of brisket on them. We asked for more brisket to help fill us up. The nachos seemed to have been under a lamp and some of our food was cold. It took us a very long time to get our food. Would not recommend.

Hard to get a drink

By Graeme017 |

Went for a lunch on a Tuesday after driving in from Waco. We wanted to have a few nice drinks and a relaxing lunch. Unfortunately our server was as slow as a Monday waiting for Friday to come! I had a draught Shiner Bock and my wife had a margarita, next tortilla soup and bacon & prawn tacos, which were okay. Another 5-10 mins went buy with empty glasses before we got to order another round. Mains were a rip off off prime rib on a hoagie which was all bun with microscopic pieces of meat, brisket cheese sandwich was underwhelming also. We would of ordered another drink but thought it would take too long again,so left.

Service needs Improvement

The bar looks very inviting and very Amerciana, standard large bar area to sit. Arrived around 4pm on a Friday and just in time for happy hour (3pm - 6pm) ordered some beers after sitting down at the bar, but basically 1 staff member behind the bar doing all drinks and plenty of staff serving the tables which to be honest were not busy at all. 2nd beer after many moments of emptiness were to be the last, happy hours prices made up for the lack of service. Reserve your tips as not a lot of service going on. Moved onto City Tavern just up the block and my better service and atmosphere, check out their review.

Friendly place

Relaxed quick friendly service from Mark who also helped with a 'tourist' questions. Good value for money ordering the trail Boss burger. Sam Adams lager on tap for only 3 dollar/pint
