Went on a mid Sunday afternoon with my grandson after his basketball tournament and he ordered the steak and egg breakfast which was huge and he ate and enjoyed it all. I had the hamburger steak with grilled onions and it seemed it was a 8oz pattie and not a true steak. The brown gravy was a little greasy, but the mashed potatoes and green beans were very good. The corn bread and rolls were good also. Our waitress was great and refreshed our drinks without asking twice. Would go there again.

Great food and quick. Not much to dislike. Food is always the same no matter what Cracker Barrell you go to. Always good.

I have never been to a Cracker Barrel that I didn't like. This was a new experience. The service was slow and after about 4 trys we got most of our order correct. I never did get my toast but got tired of asking. I think it was one of the managers that finally started bringing out our correct food. Probably will not go back to that Cracker Barrel

My wife and I have been many places around the country, and Cracker Barrel is our "go to" place when we travel. We just moved here, and thought we should check out the local Cracker Barrel for brunch. The food was below par for a Cracker Barrel. We were served by two different people, and between the two of them didn't equal one good one! Service was NOT good. My wife had chicken steps (4 on the plate) ... 3 were pretty, and the 4th was DARK brown - nearly burned ... in the same plate. Really? You can't LOOK at what you're serving? I will NOT return to this Cracker Barrel. Will try the one off of 281 next time.

As usual, Cracker Barrel is the place for food that's as close to home-cooked tasting as can be had in a chain restaurant. The menu variety should enable anyone to find something they can enjoy.

Wow - We have eaten at other Cracker Barrel Restaurants and enjoyed them but this time we had a fantastic experience thanks to our server Shay. She epitomized what a good server should be. She was attentive, friendly, our coffee cups were filled promptly and she explained about the cost of substitutions. We were all pleased with our meals.

the breakfast was great I love the yogurt with fruit ,pancakes my husband likes to get the steaks it is excellent love the store

We're always looking for a cracker barrel for breakfast because they seldom get it wrong. Very affordable and always made to order.

first the wrong order, after this i saw the waitress only one time. as we got the check… bad service, sorry!

Food was traditional American cuisine and was up to the expected standard one would expect from a cracker barrel restaurant. Restaurant was clean and our hostess was friendly and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was ( I won't put her full name for privacy) D***ie. W. She was not attentive, she left dirty dishes on our table for the entire meal of which I included a photo. When she finally did check us for drinks she interrupted our conversation to have me hand her my glass, she should not have interrupted she should have simply walked beside me and refilled my glass. She also handed me my plate instead of setting it down in front of me which is standard protocol in any restaurant or cafe. She was not friendly either. On the bright side once we left the bad service experience in the restaurant C****ney in the store was completely wonderful! Helpful & friendly. I wish she had waited on our family. The cashier was also a real professional . it is a shame one bad server spoiled the experience of hometown friendly cracker barrel.

After shopping the after Christmas specials there (they have 70% off goodies!) we ate dinner there. I had some of the best, juiciest tenderest pork chops and fired okra ever!!! My husband says his chicken fried steak, brown rice and gravy with fried apples was the best he's ever had at Cracker Barrel. Our server was excellent....very attentive but she didn't "hover". All in all an excellent experience for us. I LOVE Cracker Barrel's sales AND their food.

Love cracker barrel. It just makes you feel like old fashion values still exist. Food is good, homestyle, comfort food.

I enjoy eating breakfast at the Cracker Barrel (prefer it over Magnolia Pancake House); Lunch and dinner offerings are okay. Used to go a lot for their chicken and dumplings but finding this dish not as tasty as it used to be; serving size much smaller and a lot less dumplings. At least they are consistent when traveling up and down the highways of the USA.

It was going well but then a child threw up next to our table and sat there for 8 minutes or so, they ended up cleaning it with bleach and the sense of the smell was really strong and gave my family a headache, and the waitress didn’t even bother to ask us if we wanted to move to any other table

For those that don’t eat mean or are trying to eat healthy, this place is a nightmare. Build your own breakfast has a meat requirement. You can’t substitute $1.99 pancake for $3.59 off there a clearer substitution menu. Makes no sense monetarily for their business and really T’s me off. In the future only as a last resort. Thinking maybe Jim’s or Denny’s or maybe the roadside taco stand. Pretty sure they can take care of me.

This was our first experience with Cracker Barrel - wish we had them at home! The food was good, probably slightly bland in order to accomodate everyone's taste, and plentiful, Service was very good. The decor, especially for a "first-timer" provided great entertainment while we were waiting for our meals. It was fun looking at the authentic-looking reproductions and finding many that brought back childhood memories! (Not for the younger generations!) Prices are very reasonable and the adjoining stores offer quality merchandise also for reasonable prices.

Our large group was seated quickly and served quickly. Very reasonable prices and large portions of food. The kids all enjoyed the gift shop and games as well.

Getting 'fast food' delivered to your table by a courteous and attentive staff at a very very reasonable price all goes towards this excellent rating. There were more choices than I could have imagined all with great flavors (green beans with bacon flover) sweet potato casserole with pecans - yum and breakfast all day long - we were all happy!

The food was very good and loved the low prices! Service was a bit slow but it was busy...our waiter apologized for the wait but was slow to bring us drinks and refills. The gift shop is amazing#

We've eaten at Cracker Barrels in many places. Good, hearty, home-cooked style anglo-american food. Also a great gift store. Their private-branded Lodge castiron cookwear is wonderful. Buy the biscuit pan.

Cracker Barrel has the best dumplins ever - love shopping there and having breakfast, too, any hour of the day!

Ate a Saturday breakfast here. The food was good Cracker Barrel food. With Cracker Barrel you always know what the breakfast menu will be. The service was fast and good. The coffee was hot and refills came with ease. Would certainly eat here again.

The wait staff and checkers are friendly and upbeat. The service is always good, as is the food - love the cornbread! It is always fun to shop after the meal and pick up a couple of things to amuse the grandkids.

We have dined at many Cracker Barrel Restaurants across the country and not all were sterling experiences. This was by far one of the best. Our server, Lena, was very attentive, friendly and professional. We were seated promptly and Lena was there to take our drink order. She made sure our coffee cups didn't get even half empty. Food was very good and abundant. As a matter of fact our only complaint was more food than we could eat in one setting. We weren't far from home so we took some home for later. Price was very reasonable also.

We have never been disappointed with Cracker Barrel any time we have eaten at one (which is often). This was the biggest we've been in so far. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Very good meal!

My eating experience was not bad but simply ...well..the same. The same as any trip I have made to a cracker barrel in just about any city. Food is consistant and I always get pulled there by my wife.

I went to Cracker Barrel for a business lunch with two colleagues and tried a new menu item, Maple Pecan Fried Chicken. The chicken exceeded my expectations and the green beans were good. On the down side, the mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best. Overall, it was good. I may go back to try it again.

Cracker Barrel has always been a place I’ve loved, but over time, I’ve been deeply disappointed by the changes to the menu. One of my favorites, the Uncle Herschel’s breakfast, was removed, and while I used to be able to piece it together à la carte, that’s no longer an option. Now, to recreate it, I have to order a hamburger with no bun just to get close. While I still enjoy the Grandma’s Breakfast, it feels like the menu has lost its charm and variety. The changes seem to reflect a disconnect between the management and the loyal customers who have cherished the classic offerings for years. These shifts have made me visit less frequently, as the overall dining experience doesn’t feel the same. My intent here isn’t to leave a bad review but to offer constructive feedback in the hope that Cracker Barrel might revisit the elements that made it special in the first place. If those beloved staples return, I’d gladly become a more regular customer again.

Even though the wait is around and hour, it is well worth it and besides they have a store so time flies!!!

At this Cracker Barrel, you never have to worry about good food . Their service is prompt and friendly. Enjoy going here when we visit San Antonio !!

The staff was incredibly welcoming, much more so than usual. I was one of about four people in the restaurant and the staff truly made it feel like I was the only one there. My order was out in less than 2 minutes (eggs, smoked sausage, biscuits + gravy) and the coffee refills kept coming. They took time out of the morning shift to have a chat with me to ask how my morning had gone and ensured I had enough of anything I needed to give me a good, filling breakfast. Any time I'm in town and want a good, old fashioned breakfast, I'm heading back here.

Went for a quick meal. Experience was average, not memorable.

Went for lunch & had their meatloaf special which was quite good. Service was good & the food quality & portion of good size. Busy location, easy access of the highway.

Typical Cracker Barrel. Great Service, 5 rated- thanks Diana, the great food you have come to expect from Cracker Barrel, and pleasant surroundings to enjoy them in. Clean restrooms, plenty of parking, very short wait to be seated. No. Detractions here!! Had the lemon pepper trout... Absolutely outstanding. My wife had 4 veggie plate. Outstanding, as it always is. Good Job Y'all. Saw a review dated 6/14/2016 said quality is failing here. We saw no evidence of ANYTHING failing.

Me and my wife came in on Veterans day Nov 11 our table attendant was Nichol she was very nice greeted us welcome to cracker barrel and thanked me for my Navy Service the food was very good tasty hot thank yall CEO of cracker barrel for honoring Veterans

I have been to Cracker Barrels in many places and each one that I have been to have been nothing but excellent service and food. It's always good to come here for some tasty home style cooking.

Cracker Barrel is . . . well, Cracker Barrel. Just like every other one in this country! The Country store is always fun with great finds. Food is average and service is . . . okay.

Went in because of their advertised lunch special...which is one item each day until it is gone! I really feel you should have at least a little variety not just one item. Food and service was good as usual just not what I was expecting for lunch special!

Food Always good. I like the Apple Butter. They will bring you some with your bread if you ask. My wife usually finds something she likes on the clearance rack (clothing). Sweet Tea is a favorite

We stayed overnight in San Antonio on our way to South Padre Island. We saw this Cracker Barrel and decided we would have dinner there. We promptly got a table. Our server took our order quickly. We received our food promptly. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food was excellent. We had an very good experience.

Weekends are always tough because of the long lines. For me it was worth the wait because of the great food and the attentive staff. Keep up the great work.

Love Cracker Barrel; wish this wasn't the closest. Bad area.

We stopped in for lunch. We didn’t have any wait when we arrived. I had the veggie plate. Green salad, soup, green beans and broccoli kale salad. Everything had a good taste. Consistent Cracker Barrel.

Great food and sweet Texas southern hospitality. All our meals were delish and our waitress was sweet as pie!

They have the best pancakes. Go early, the line can be bad... They have a big gift shop waiting area and rocking chairs on the porch.

I'd never been in a Cracker Barrel before, and usually do not review chain restaurants, but I wanted to write one this time. After a LONG morning of shopping at the outlet mall, my friend and I stopped for lunch here, as it is really the only "sit-down" restaurant in the mall area. It was great! I had fried catfish and she had chicken and dumplings and we both loved it. The waitress was very attentive, despite also being very busy, and she kept our ice teas topped off throughout. Don't be put off by this being a chain; if you want a nice lunch while you're at the outlets, this is the place.

We have always loved Cracker Barrel restaurants, but this was a very disappointing experience. Our wait time was to be expected, we had a large party, so expected to wait. The staff in the store were very kind and helpful. Our waitress was great as well. She did a good job with such a large group. The food on the other hand, was VERY disappointing. The pancakes were cold, the eggs were raw, the sausage had a "funky" taste to it. There was not one person in our 8 person party that was happy with their food. We will NOT be back. If you go there use caution, especially when ordering eggs. I personally do not like Salmonella!

Can't go wrong with Chicken and Dumplins (Coffee is good housebrand too)

I have never been disappointed in either the food or service!! We loved the daily special, the shopping is just different enough from other Cracker Barrels to make it fun for the whole family. The kids order off the main menu and eat it all!! Even the vegetables....how do you do it Cracker Barrel?

Jessica was our waitress. She was amazing and our breakfast was very good. She made sure we had hot coffee and service was very good.

Fast friendly service and with 2 small kids that's important. Yummy food. I'd definitely go again...

Love browsing in the store before or after having a meal here. The food is always good and very reasonably priced - possibly because they have no liquor licence?! LOL!

Nothing phenomenal. Our waitress was very friendly. Food was good, but service was just a little slow. Overall ok, but not great.

Our server was friendly and helpful but the food here was literally bland and tasteless. Grits are always a staple, but here they were watery and tasted like wallpaper paste as if flour was added to minimize the good corn flavor. Their biscuits used to be fluffy and tasty, now they are a mere shadow of their former flavor. Even their gravy is very bland. The sausage had a very strange flavor and we are big fans of sausage patties. The omelet was not bad and had plenty of requested ingredients. In a restaurant known for grits, biscuits, gravy, and sausage, failure in these major categories is a disaster.

Cracker Barrel next door to the hotel, so we ate dinner there one night and ate breakfast there one morning. Food and service was very good. No complaints.

Not only was Cracker Barrel within walking distant but there was other fast food restaurants that was less than 2 miles that was very enjoyable. Easy access to the main hwy.

waited over 30 minutes to be seated...empty tables all over....waited 10 minutes for drinks to be ordered....when food arrived we had to ask again for the same things we had already asked for with our meal...we were seated where we could see the kitchen staff....WITH NO MASKS OR GLOVES ON ANY OF THEM.....seriously????? The man that was mopping the floor DID have on a mask (but not the ones cooking the food????) One was even dancing and singing while she cooked...that leads to spit spraying...OMG....looked for a manager but couldn't find one and other staff were too busy to help find one...won't go back to this location EVER

If there is a place on a road trip for a guaranteed good breakfast this is it. And they serve breakfast ALL day. Its a nationwide chain, can find them in almost every state. Their buttermilk biscuits are their signature dishes. I get the biscuits and sasauge gravey every time. The biscuits come with just about all of the breakfast dishes so you'll get a chance to try them not matter what. I've never heard complaints from any of my friends or family who've gone and tried something from their menu.

When we travel, we always try have breakfast at Cracker Barrel because you get a lot of great food for a reasonably good price. The portions are big and the service is great. The store inside the restaurant has many neat things to buy.

This Cracker Barrel is so CLEAN that I thought it was new. One of the waitresses had 4 stars on her apron, so I guess it's not that new. They have a new dish on the menu - baked chicken with broccoli on top, covered with a cheese sauce and Ritz crackers. It was yummy. Needed a little salt and pepper, but that's an easy fix. We sat at a table right across from the door to the kitchen. Don't sit there. The restaurant was not full yet - a little early for supper - and the kitchen staff was having a good old time - laughing and talking. At first it didn't bother me, but later it did. They had a Josh Turner CD playing and I couldn't even hear the music. They need to tone it down in there. I imagine that when the restaurant is busy (and noisy) then the voices from the kitchen can't be heard over the din from the restaurant itself. Also, the biscuits were "heavy" - not flaky like they usually are - but maybe that's because we were in there around 4:30. I am still giving this restaurant 4 stars because of it's immaculate condition. The manager is trying because he came around to every table to say "hello" and to ask if everything was alright with the meal, etc. My husband doesn't like it when I make comments, so I didn't say anything, but he does need to tell the kitchen staff to tone it down, especially when the restaurant is "empty". I used to teach school, so I know how sound echos in small spaces. The young people working there just need to be mindful that others can hear what they are saying.

Visited yesterdy (Sunday Morning) and was informed of a 15-20 minute WAIT. WHY? Who knows...hosts could not provide a rational reason. The dining area was less than half full, while the 'waiting' area (the gift shop area of the establishment) was crawling with people 'waiting.' So much for the 'capacity control' argument (although Texas has LIFTED all capacity mandates). The previous time i visited this place, I noticed cooks in the kitchen preparing nd handling food WITHOUT MASKS---during the height of the pandemic, and i reported it to he 'manager.' This particular CB is VERY POORLY MANAGED and with poorly trained staff. I did NOT wait around. I will NOT be visiting here again.

I would love to give 5 stars, but the seating hostess brought the rating down. We arrived around 11:15, so after breakfast and before lunch. The restaurant was half empty with plenty of open tables. The hostess tried to seat us at the worst table in the whole place - a 2-seater on the back wall between the emergency exit and the kitchen. We asked if we could have a window table instead, and she hesitated and acted annoyed. Plenty were open, both 2 and 4-seaters. Fortunately another hostess overheard the exchange and said sure we could be seated where we wanted, and we were. Why the hostess would even try putting someone at such an undesireable table in the first place I don't know, perhaps it was that section's turn or something. Anyway, we got a lovely window table with a fabulous server named Pedro, His attitude and superior service changed the tone of things for us. The food was definitely 5 stars. Too bad I had to give 4 stars due to the visit getting off to a bad start. We rarely eat out, and maybe once or twice a year at Cracker Barrel, so I was excited and she put a damper on the visit. The other employees and food quality saved it. First impressions mean a lot though.

Ate at Cracker Barrel twice while in San Antonio last week. I had not eaten at one in about 15 years, and I kept telling my family they were in for a treat. Needless to say, they were very impressed. Though there was a wait at the CB near the San Marcos outlets, the food and service were excellent. Enjoyed the country-style cooking at the CB near I-35 also. Really impressed and recommend two desserts: fresh fruit cobbler (we had blackberry) and the chocolate cake made with coca-cola. Family loved the Texas-based Blue Bell ice cream, also. It's too bad that there are no CBs where we live, but will always search them out for a great meal when we are traveling.

Just like any other location, the staff was friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for a table. The food was amazing as always.

Like most chains, you been to one Cracker Barrel, you have been to them all. The food is great homestyle cooking, but there is NO sound deadening anywhere. So, a screaming baby 50 feet away sounds like it is right next to you.

Great food, good service, large breakfast, and happy kids. Who could ask for more? The gift shop even had a witches broom for Halloween that followed you around. Fun!!

The large black girl seating people needs a new attitude. (francho) No smile no greeting. Made us walk all around dining area and wait while she was more concerned about finding a waitress. Restaurant was about a quarter full. Ordered our meal with salads specifically asked for salads before meal....but salads came then two seconds our meal. Would have been nice to have about ten minutes in between. Need to work on that CB. Our waitress Stacey very pleasant.

all good food can not go wrong and service was good

Let me start out by saying it was busy today at this location. We expected and did wait 30 minutes for a table, and expected to wait on food. With this said, I will never eat here again. We were seated and initially served drinks immediately. After that we had to flag down the waiter to order. Someone else delivered our food and we never saw our waiter until we were done eating, all drinks were empty, the extra food we ordered never came, and we were all done and ready to go. During this time our waiter was not available, we could see several staff right inside the kitchen chatting away. I have no idea where management was as nobody came by our table. I've experienced wait times at busy restaurants but never a lack of service as we experienced here. Sorry #211 - your location fails in customer service.

Reasonable meal. Broccoli, sweet potato, and biscuit better than expected. Good service. Wholesome meals are a nice idea. We'll go back.

I guess Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Old Country Store would have to be one of my top picks. I enjoy the down home, what mom made, cooking. And the decor reminds me of an old country cabin filled with family and good memories, especially the huge fireplace. Breakfasts are great and available any time of day or night is an added plus. Ummm and their blackberry cobbler, Yummy! I always enjoy browsing through the Country Store and seeing all the interesting items, especially during the holidays, my favorite times of the year to visit. I actually bought a skirt and jacket of excellent quality and at sale price was a steal. I also like the fact that when traveling the USA, especially east, seeing Cracker Barrel after a long day of car travel is like seeing an old friend. You can count on them. On the questions below, don't know about reservations. I usually have to wait on weekends, but not for long. Scenic View depends on the location of the restaurant. I particularly like the rocking chairs outside customers can sit in and the checker board. Sometimes the atmosphere gets a little noisy but that's because it is most definitely a family oriented restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch on a storm chasing trip, heading back to Kansas after a chase down to Corpus Christi. Being my first time at a Cracker Barrel I was impressed with the quaint decor. Pleasant staff and good food made for an enjoyable visit.

We love eating at Cracker Barrel and disappointed in the food. Service was great, but biscuits were hard as rocks and food was greasy.

This place has a great breakfast - love the sourdough bread toast and their eggs. Also good homecooking for lunch or dinner -meatloaf, chicken dishes, etc. I also like to run do a little shopping while waiting on the food.

This place is pretty good for what it is. I like going there to get a nice southern style meal. I always get the chicken fried steak. It is not the best but it is really good.

I have been to this cracker barrell many times and If you get the chance to stop in ask for Larry to be your server Don't forget to tip him well bc every trip i have made here family friends or just somewhere for me and the hubby to go for a down home real meal this place has flavor and all the makings of home. feels like being at your greatmothers place with all of the great knickknacks and smells. and the fireplace going really makes it worth the trip. Larry our favorite server never let my drink see the bottom of the cup and though there were quite a lot of people I never felt over looked. I definately will continue to go here and recommend this to all of my friends. great prices and excellent atmosphere.

Can't say enough good things about Lee, the server at this Cracker Barrel! The absolute best! He should receive a quick raise and promotion! Great food and excellent service! Thank you!

my hotel was within walking distance and this chain is always good and this prop is no exception and good meal at a fair price. The employees go out of there way to make you feel welcome

This Cracker Barrel serves consistently good food, is clean with a friendly staff. You won't be disappointed, but you won't be awed or surprised either.

The Cracker Barrel was excellent. I had the Friday Fish special and it was excellent. Service was good. As always I left happy.

You can expect the same quality, tasting and price in a number of states. I have been here so often over the years that I dont need a menu

I enjoy the fish, greens and cornbread. Choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Country Store is always fun.

This restaurant has marvelous pecan pancakes with delicious maple syrup and gooood coffee too. Their food at lunch is very good too. On weekends it can get very crowded and the wait can be long, BUT..... don't worry, the restaurant has a store! And what a store. There are so many beautiful things to see, you will not even notice that the time you had to wait for your table, passed already. Is the wait worth it? Deffinetly.

My son & I had the best service at Cracker Barrel on IH 35 & Rittiman Rd. Although it was very busy as usual we didn't have to wait long. My son ordered the grandpa's plate that is both breakfast & lunch (chicken fried chicken, eggs of your choice, heavenly hash potatoes, grits (are you hungry yet) etc. I had their heavenly seasonal pumpkin spice pancakes plate. I'm still full just thinking of it! Our server, Natasha was amazing ! She made us feel like we were the only ones there. Now that's phenomenal service!!!

We were in San Antonio visiting my husband’s Vietnam buddies. We like to stop at Cracker Barrel’s when ever possible because of their respect for the military. NOT THIS LOCATION. THEY DONT GIVE A MILITARY DISCOUNT,not even a beverage for retired military. Very disappointed in this locations lack of respect for those who served. So close to Ft Sam Houston too.

On Rittiman road and near our Hampton Inn hotel. Ate here Friday 10/14. Seated fairly quickly. Ordered the turkey/dressing special. Wanted the sweet potato casserole as one of the sides, but they were out. Took awhile to get our food, but it was all very good. While we were waiting, our waitress tried to keep us posted and apologized for the wait and then that it wouldn't be too much longer. She had the entire room by herself and did a stellar job. I believe her name was Meghan (young, thin, brunette with glasses; super polite manners). We tipped her well for all she went through. Upon leaving, a woman I had seen at the hostess desk came up to me and asked what time we arrived. She was there to pick up her carry-out order when we arrived and she did not get it until we were leaving. Obviously, there were some employees in the kitchen and in the dining room who didn't show up -- OR, there had been huge crowds the restaurant was unprepared for. Things happen. I don't expect perfection. Outstanding waitress!!

My husband and i went to grab a bite to eat following an exhausting day from his brother's funeral. The staff was awesome and attentive.

Our whole family loves to eat at this restaurant. The food choices are all-American and very good. While waiting for our food we make a trip into the country store with all its nifty merchandise (especially love it at Christmas !). Then back to our table to enjoy our meal and the waiter's usual attentiveness.

Visited Sunday, August 16, 2020; previously one of my favorite places (pre-CV-19). Due to CV protocols, had to wait for table, which was no problem, However while waiting, I noticed staff in the kitchen (food preparers) were wearing NO MASK, NO GLOVES! I mentioned this to the 'store manager', who had been going in and out of the kitchen area assisting the overwhelmed waiters, and SHE had NOT noticed her own kitchen staff NOT wearing protective gear. She corrected them only after my complaint. She apologized, but I decided that i could not risk eating at an establishment so lax during a PANDEMIC. What's the point of a business requiring customers to wear masks, if their own staff is not wearing asks....and the 'manager' doesnt even notice!

Shopping - food - service. You get it all! Go around the holidays and pick up some great gifts. They're chicken and dumplings is out of this world and their scrambled eggs are not duplicateable!

Took my parents to lunch here and got the worst service and food. We got seated down and took the waitress over 20 minutes to take our drink and food order. It took another 10 minutes for the waitress to returned with our drinks. Had to asked another waitress for refills and biscuits/cornbread. The food took around 25 minutes to come to the table. We had to continue asking another waitress for refills and asked to speak to the manager and he never came to the table. At checkout was explaining to the cashier about out bad service and bad food, she called for the manager and about 3 minutes he shows up and asked what the problem was and explained to him the issue and all he said was i think we need to work on the service and give my ticket back the cashier and walked away. The cashier and I both looked at him and she told me how sorry she was and gave me the phone # to the cracker barrel home office. The manager doesn't care about the service or cold food then they don't need my money. The worst 42.00 ever spent on a lunch. The country fried turkey is really chicken fried chicken. Or that is what I got instead of turkey.

We ate here twice during our recent trip and both times we received excellent food and service! Love the country store - they had tons of Longhorns gear for my son, he was in Longhorn Heaven!!

One would think that poached eggs were pretty basic breakfast fare. . . . Server even asked if I wanted them soft, medium or hard (I always thought a poached egg wasALWAYS soft) These eggs were completely hard. They made a quick replacement . . . doncha know these eggs were closer to raw. And, all through this they did not notice my empty coffee cup. I hate to say it, but that was really substandard for a place known for breakfast.

With a digital aid that prompted the server to ask all of the right questions we still didn't get what we ordered. It was upon us the customers to say but my order also comes with X and I asked for Y etc. The biscuits were not cooked fully and cold which makes it hard to melt the frozen butter. Eggs came out lukewarm which is always warrant for concern. Finally, the little glass jars of syrup while novel sure are wasteful because each cap is plastic with a plastic safety ring - what happened to the pitchers of syrup? Completely not worth going.

Went to the Cracker Barrel on Sunday at 5PM for a birthday dinner. Had to wait 20 minutes for them to put three tables together in a back room that was almost empty. Our server came after a short wait to take our drink order (there were 11 adults and one toddler in our party). Waited 20 minutes for the drinks. Server then took our dinner orders. Waited 35 minutes for food to arrive. Waited 15 minutes for birthday dessert to arrive and then finally waited 15 minutes for checks to be given out. All in all, a very loong dinner! Be a while before we go there again if ever. Not sure where the manager was, but they weren't moving things along or checking on the kitchen.

We arrived at 11:35 a.m. The first person's salad was served one hour later. The waitress was unhappy that we finished our drinks in the first hour and needed a refill. My chicken fried steak was served at one hour and 15 minutes but was not fully cooked. So, I left without eating. The manager was no help. He did admit they were unstaffed. It was a big and expensive disappointment. There was no concession for poor service.

This Cracker Barrel is close to the airport and our hotel. The food there is average always comfort food. I seem to like these places less with each visit. There are never many healthy choices on the menu

Granted, I'm a Canadian and we don't have the Cracker Barrel chain so perhaps they're much the same everywhere ... but I have to wonder if they train all staff at this location - they are exceptional. Friendly, attentive, warm and charming. The fare is simple and comfort food, but the servers are anything but ordinary.

30 min wait to be seated (not bad), 50 mins wait for the blandest food, I’ve tasted. Not sure if they were having issues in the kitchen or what but for what seemed like hours no one gave us any word regarding our very disappointing food - McDonalds breakfasts are better than this… Don’t waist your time here.

I only eat here 'cos a good friend loves to eat here when she's in town. I don't choose it on my own. I DO love the store and it's unique gifts.

Stopped in for a late lunch (2:30). Service was bad. Only ordered a salad and it took 30 minutes to get it and the resteraunt was not busy at all The waiter told me he had to make the salad himself. Sad sad sad. Poor management.

This was my first visit to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. I was so thrilled that we had to wait for a table! HA! Because they have their gift shop to browse while you wait. I was actually disappointed when they called us for our table! I was very impressed with their food, we enjoyed it very much. I wish we had one of these closer to where we live! The service kind of left something to be desired, but the food was worth it!

Stopped for a quick breakfast. The food was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was quick and good! This is one chain of restaurants that you come to think of as good food and service and they don't disappoint.

Very nice combination of resturant and store. The store had goodies that I had not seen since I was a kid.

We have tried different items for breakfast and lunch/supper. Every item so far has been good--no complaints. Locations are everywhere and we have tried several and have not been disappointed.

Had breakfast and had to wait 20 minutes which is not unusual for a Cracker Barrel. Service is not super fast but the food was good. Just like any other Cracker Barrel you will eat at.

Was staying at adjacent hotel and visited several times in the course of 9 days. Overall there is poor management, hostess moves like a two towed sloth, dirty floors, dirty chairs, dirty doors, no teamwork at all from servers, almost all orders were brought out incorrectly. They have the staff wearing masks and are suppose to be cleaner, when the place is filthy. Not a good example of the chain.

Great menu and good food, reasonable prices, country charm, friendly staff and very good service. One of a kind store area with some unique products. We always enjoy a visit to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store!

I think I am just going to bullet point my items here and let each person decide for themselves if this is worth your time. * Waiting 15 minutes once at the table for ANY service, including water. * Over the 15 min waiting period more than 10 waiters and waitreses passed by our table, non of which acknowledged us. * Drink order for 5 people was incorrect, and never corrected. * Food wait time was what we expected 15-20 min. * Food arrived cold * Shared frustrations with manager * ZERO results, no corrections, no apologies. This particular location felt more like the EAT, PAY, and GET OUT type of place. Cold food, poor customer service and lack of professionalism from staff and management, made my first expierence most likely my last with this chain. This is very unfortunate as I was really hoping for a great meal from this restaurant that friends and family shared was great. Sadly Dissappointed.

Good tasting food in a family restaurant with lots of things to buy in adjacent store such as candies, cookies, decor, music, and shirts. Decent portions, you won't ne disappointed. Definitely home style, with good flavor and originality.

When we travel we always stop at Cracker Barrel. There was a line but they got us seated within 15 minutes & our meal came about 5 minutes after we ordered. Clean & staff was friendly

Crossing the door is like going back on time. This is a cozy restaurant with nice food on a reasonable price. It is crowded on regular meal time so I recommend you to go late so you can enjoy the food and the environment.

If I could give it one star I would. The food was ok but the service was terrible. My mother has a cast on her leg yet the hostess sat us the furthest possible distance to walk. The restaurant was empty. We had 4 people. She took us to the table with three chairs. Then she said I'll go get you a chair. There were empty chairs all around us. The waitress started off ok. The food got there. We asked for more drinks and syrup. They showed up well at the end of the meal after we didn't need them and were left thirsty. By far the worst Cracker Barrel I've ever been too. Been there twice. Terrible twice. Never again!

Cracker Barrel is a standard and predictable place for a good meal when traveling and this one is such. Good service and in a commercial area with lots of retail.

We stopped in for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy but we had to wait to be seated. We were seated and greeted by our waitress who was also training. We ordered salads which seemed to take awhile to be brought out. My tea glass was empty so I moved it to the edge of the table. My waitress and the trainee walked by the table several times going to a 4 top table that was behind us. That table was getting great service. My coworkers tea glass was empty so I moved it to the edge of the table. Still couldn’t get any service. I finally took our glasses to the kitchen to be refilled When I looked for a manager she was in front by the registers showing a fellow employee her cell phone. Totally disappointed in service I’ve had at Cracker Barrel in my recent visits. Maybe this is becoming the norm.

WOW! Great food, amazing choice. The service was great and fast and the prices are VERY reasonable. Unbelievable!!

As my family and i where on holiday we first went to ihop and it was good, but after coming here for breakfast i was hooked, went every day, tried to go at 6 am when our flight was leaving at 8 but missed it. i will defenetly go every morning from now on vacation, oh and the price for its quality is unvelievable!!!

We visited the rest. in May 2014 for lunch. It was the worst I have ever had there or any cracker barrel. We order the meatloaf dinner. The meat was red (RAW), wrong veggies were serviced. The waitress did not even visit after were served, we addressed our issues with the person that cleans the tables. He sent over another waitress to help. she replaced our plates but after that I did not want to eat and could only think about food poisioning. UGGGGGGGGGGG . We were not even offered a discount for the problems....VERY BAD

Their breakfast is their best meal. I have eaten at several different Barrels and none would make me go back. I would prefer a Dennys over a barrel anytime. I had the 'new' buttermilk batter chicken and it was chewy and crunchy. The biscuits and corn bread muffins are nothing special, the water was good.

Dinner was surprisingly good and the service was so fast. This is definitely being added to our list of favorites.

We were traveling back to the Austin area after visiting someone in the hospital in San Antonio. We just wanted to sit, enjoy a good meal & relax. From the time we walked in, until we left everything was GREAT! Our server, Ebony, was on point with everything. If you have a chance to visit this Cracker Barrel, make sure and ask for her section. You will not be disappointed, I promise!

We were on vacation in San Antonio and went by this Cracker Barrel and decided to eat here. We enjoyed our meals and our server was excellent. We would go again if we are back in the area.

A friend and I had dinner here one night while on vacation. We are used to Cracker Barrel Restaurants, so we basically knew what to expect from the type of food and service. The store with gift items is always a nice touch. The food arrived quickly, hot and fresh. It tasted pretty good. The service was very good from the guy who seated us to the lady waiting on our table to the cashier when we left. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. The dining area was clean as were the restrooms.

I am one of the managers of this location. We all work so very hard to please every person that enters. One of the cleanest places I have ever worked! Overall I love working there. Great place to work and eat! Great staff, even better food! Thank you all for coming in!!! Love to hear any and all comments. Thank you!

As much as I love the food here (especially the blueberry pancakes and potato casserole) the one thing is there is a lot of children with parents who have no clue how to make them behave. Almost makes me wish they had a separate quiet room for adults with no kids. Food and service are great.

We like Cracker Barrel restaurants because we have never had a bad meal at one. This place is no exception. The food was hot, tasty and well-prepared. The staff were all efficient, helpful and friendly. I have no complaint.

After hunting around San Antonio for a great place to get breakfast without a long wait, we decided to go for Cracker Barrel. The food was delicious and tastes very homemade! I loved the gravy and biscuits with sausage as a mix & match option. It definitely satisfied our hunger and fueled us up for the road without having to wait to be seated. Highly recommend!

This place is about a dime a dozen all over the country. If you are in SA don't stop here and eat. Nearby this place in SA are good places to eat and seeing this on SA's top 20 on tripadvisor is stupid. Go somewhere else. Food here is just OK.

Our favorite breakfast place in San Antonio has always been the Cracker Barrel on IH10 West near Huebner Rd. If ever you were looking for the perfect breakfast, this was it. I couldn't even prepare my 'over easy' eggs at home as well as they did at C.B., but our last couple of visits have been disappointing. At lunch a few weeks ago, my hubby ordered meatloaf. In the past, there was a very adequate portion, but it's becoming more and more apparent that C.B. is cutting back on portions to save $$$. His was not much larger than the size of a deck of cards! At least half the previous size. Then two days ago, we went there for breakfast, and the eggs were very small and most of the white part was missing! If you picture them as a clock, with the yolk in the middle, then the white part between 4 o'clock and 1 o'clock was totally missing...on both eggs. They have obviously switched to small eggs, but still, where did the white part go? We called our waitress over and she agreed the orders were not at all acceptable, so she had both of them redone. The whites reappeared in the new dishes, but it was still obvious that they have switched egg sizes. The sausage, however, was of the usual size and delicious, as always. The gal who brought our butter and jam had only one jam container and three butter containers, and this is for two people. This was corrected after inquiry. We so hate to see one of our favorite places not living up to its previous standards. If you go here, don't accept sub-standard dishes. They will make corrections.

Love the place, first time there service was excellent. The food was awesome love the flavor everything was so good. The waitress was so nice and always looking after us asking us if we needed anything else. Prices were good too. For sure coming back.

The waiter recommended the fried catfish special. It was hot and delicious-great recommendation! I chose the fried apples and the hashbrown casserole as side orders, both items Mom used to make as well.

very pleased that CB continues to maintain its standards, while many restaurants have lost their edge, fail to maintain standards CB has not. Clean restaurant, good food, now with health choices. If you are not looking for a specialty menu this is a place you can depend on

Down home country breakfast at its best with a crackling fire to boot. We visited on 11/11/11 and were very pleased with the Sunrise Sampler my husband and I shared. It was huge and was more than enough for the both of us for less than $10. The biscuits were fantastic, but the gravy was a bit to thick for our taste, which was our only complaint, and the reason I did not give then 5 stars. I'm not a fan of grits, but these were good with some of the fried apples added to them. The eggs and sampling of bacon, ham, sausage were very tasty. Service was excellent. We had to enter from the side due to sidewalk construction, but it was well worth the inconvenience. Our friends were equally pleased with their shared meal. We highly recommend that seniors consider sharing breakfasts due to the size as they did not appear to have senior specials.
Americana shopping and meals
Food is solid country fare. Huge portions, well cooked. No gourmet meals, but your children will love it. The restaurant and store are coneected so you can pick up your souveniers before or after your meal. Breakfast portions are overwhelming and the food is good. Only complaint is the burgers are a little greacy, but that's American cooking.
