Overpriced Elegance

By MLAlaska |

Wonderful in every way. Steaks are amazing. Wine selection is superb. Service was well represented by no less than five attendants. Be prepared to spend one or more hundreds of dollars per person. Located inside MGM Grand near all amenities it has to offer.

The talk of our weekend! Amazing!

By Aubrey L |

The most delicious meal!!! My husband had the Waygu skirt steak and it was delicious, as was my filet! The scallops were the best I've ever had. The potatoes with gruyere were the hit of the table. Even the rolls they started with were phenomenal. The service, atmosphere, and food were all top-notch. If we ever return to Vegas, we will certainly be eating here again!

The experience just unraveled

By Doherty757 |

Was really looking forward to our evening at Craftsteak and while it started well it was an epic failure. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated about 10 minutes after. No big deal but we said we had a show in about two hours, no problem. A bourbon cocktail, Wine and Lobster bisque soup was very good and our server Antonio was great. But then it unraveled. Excuse after excuse on our wait for the entree, even from the manager, 10 minutes became 10 more minutes, until it became obvious we were going to miss the show if we continued to wait. Having lost confidence in their ability to stay within 2 hours for dinner we had to leave without ever getting our entree. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

NOISYE PEOPLE SEATED NEXT TO ME - WHY

By BADBOYISIN |

I was expecting a lot from this Top Chef restaurant. The eating area was nice, but the bar had TVs on, so it looked like a Sports Bar. Came in when it opened and was seated nicely. There were about 3 other couples, so there was plenty of room for others. The staff put two tables together for a party of six right next to me. One of the guests talked very loudly, so it was ruining my meal. I had to move to another table. The food was good but not memorable. The service was top-notch

We had reservation at the wrong Tom Colicchio.

By Skip T |

We made a reservation but it was for the Heritage restaurant not the Craftsteak. The staff were very understanding and managed to get us a very nice table. The recommendations for food were excellent and the meals were perfect.

Very good steak with great service

By nsb218 |

Had an excellent meal at Craftsteak with a large group. All of our food was excellent. Split the grass fed ribeye with my husband and it was perfect. The cauliflower was delicious as well as the grits. If they have the monkey bread dessert it is a must get!

Never disappointed!!

By Kdmrocks1! |

Craft steak is my favourite steak house on the strip. The service, the atmosphere, the food and wine list are impeccable! I’ve been 5-6 times and there has never been a blip in food quality or service. Ohh and could probably just order sides… THE BEST

Horrible

By Jet M |

Horrible food horrible people horrible staff horrible floor horrible atmosphere horrible just overall

Good food, poor service

By Louis K |

I visited Craftsteak on July 9, 2019. I put my name in for a table by the bar. It took over 20 minutes for them to get to me. They then sat me at a dark table that was right next to a loud party either waiting for their table or just conversing at the bar. I asked the hostess if I could move to a brighter and quieter table. She said no. At that point I just chose to leave and go to Robert Irvine's restaurant at the Tropicana next door. The service was great and so was the food.

Not one complaint

By Matthew S |

The atmosphere is great, the service was perfect and everything we ordered was amazing. The steak was cooked perfect, the 24 hour braised short rib basically melts in your mouth with much flavor and every side we tried was delicious and perfectly complemented our meals.

Tom Colicchio Has Done It Again! YEAH!

By Arlington_traveller |

Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak was a meal I won’t soon forget. My second visit there during a recent Las Vegas trip. Tremendous quality of beef, which you would expect. I was not disappointed. The wine accompanying the meal was superb. Do save room for desert, you won’t regret it. The outside area has 3 or 4, 4 topper tables, but the inside dining room, away from the bar, is also very nice. They have obviously hired the best people. I rate highly, because I am very selective in where I dine, stay, and visit and try to avoid places that are marginal at best. Eat here, you will have a memorable time and a superb meal.

A trip to Vegas to eat at craft.

By Amy S |

We are huge Top Chef fans and came to Vegas partly to eat here. Not only was the food delicious as expected, but service was even better. I don’t remember our waitress’ name, but she was spectacular. (I do remember she was from Indiana). Definitely worth the money and trip.

Crappiest Steakhouse In Vegas

By Minh N |

I've been to almost all the top end steakhouses in vegas but this place has to take the crown of being the crappiest! I went this weekend for my bday dinner since we were staying at the MGM. Wow...this is a high end steakhouse? 2 out of 4 of our steaks were way overcooked...server didn't even apologize even gave me the side eye..as for the 4 sides we ordered, they were just plopped down on the table without any service..if you've been to Delmonico's or Mastro's, you know the great service they provide..As for this place, it might as well have been a buffet.. complained to manager and she never came back to even check up...oh yeah, had to re-pour my own wine..the steaks that were edible were mediocre at best. I felt ripped off and offended to pay those prices and get zero service.

Lobster Bisque is the best!

By TimeToGoTravel133 |

The staff, ambiance, food, were perfect. You have to have lobster bisque. It’s my favorite... ever. Monkeybread is a must, streaks are a given. If you tell them you want smaller amounts so you can try everything they are accommodating. Just the best staff!

The beef steak is incredible!

By Sabelle Deng |

The beef steak is incredible! We had team dinner their, first time for me to experience this restaurant, I thought it would be networking more than food, but the steak and cheese really surprised me, would like to come back to try more.

Underwhelmed and Disappointed

By Puffergirl |

Several peeves about this evening. Wanted to take the family out for a special meal while we were in Vegas. We had our 10 Year Old Son with us. Waiter brought a Shirley Temple for him which was not ordered and he did not drink, and we were charged for it. Son wanted a steak, so we asked if they had a petite Filet for the young ones and what the cost would be. Told $34, was charged $41. Ordered a house chardonnay which menu reflected as $12, was charged $22. Ordered the mushrooms, sea bass, rib eye, steak fries, and the petite filet for the little guy. Sea Bass was well cooked in the center, dry on the outside, and under seasoned. Husband's rib eye was delicious and the only item worth the cost. Mushrooms were hardly seasoned and we did not finish. French Fries were nothing special. Son's Filet chewy and under seasoned. Will not return.

Very good steakhouse

By Rodolphe D |

We had a nice dinner in this steakhouse from MGM. We had meat and 1 side per person and it was sufficient. Ribeye and filet mignon - cooked very well and quality of meat was awesome ! To be tried

Great steak and a funky setting.

By SeattleJLB |

Loved my steak, the sauce, the service and my husband also loved his. Perfectly done per our requests. The sides however were not as expected, the cauliflower was actually a little burnt, but it didn't put me off the rest of my meal.

Such a sad downfall

By Peter D |

wow, has this place gone downhill. Used to be excellent service and food. Service was below average at best. Steaks were prettty terrible. Sent a filet back (was about 4oz and total fat for $77) Refire took 35 minutes. Staff was nowhere. Ask for manager who was pedantic and unelpful. Have a dessert and shut up. Such a shock as I always set this as a gold standard for quality and service. Tom should take a break from Top Chef and check out is flailing restaurant.

First class

By gondekp |

Was in town for the 2nd weekend of march madness. We were staying off the strip but wanted to have one dinner on the strip that was a steakhouse. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Had a couple cocktails at the bar before sitting for dinner. Can’t express how nice it was to have a professional bartender mixing drinks, that started it off right. We were seating and again had a professional, knowledgeable and very attentive server. Started with the burrata and the prosciutto starters. Great start to the meal. Went with the wagyu strip and sides the mushrooms and risotto. Everything was cooked properly and tasted great. Also, they were offering a wine special from O’Shaughnessy which almost at the retail cost. We had brought one bottle with us, so the corkage was waved with the purchase of a bottle which was a great deal. Would definitely recommend.

Luv this place

By Julie K |

Love a good steakhouse! Though the menu was pared down from previous visits, due to Covid, it was still delicious!! We had a beautiful time. The restaurant is lovely and sophisticated. And the Wagyu beef was amazing! Desserts were outstanding, esp the creme brulee.

Good steak but should be for the price

By EdsGirlBoston |

We had some good steaks and yummy scallops and were happy with the quality, but for these prices they SHOULD be good. Side dishes were under-whelming: we had the roasted vegetables, mushrooms, potatoes ... all were a bit too greasy, over-cooked and nothing remarkable.

Celiac friendly, Low FODMAP

By Gluten free/Low FODMAP |

Very accommodating of my dietary restrictions. Staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac. The food was amazing despite my gluten, onion, and garlic restrictions. It was expensive, but worth it.

Horrible service

By USESTATE |

Went to Craftsteak with two other couples. Made the reservation month in advance and some how we ended up by the exit and server table. Took the server some time to get to us and when he did it was downhill. My steak tasted like I grilled it at home, nothing special. In the first time in my life I could not tip the server 20 percent. The host was also very unpleasant. If your in vegas go to STK Gallaghers, or The Steak House. Skip Craftsteak. You will thank me later

Worth the Price for a Splurge

By Kenyon1972 |

On an anniversary visit to Vegas and decided on Craftsteak for the anniversary dinner. A great choice - the service, the atmosphere and the food for outstanding. After all the noise and commotion of the Strip is was wonderful to have a quiet, dimly lit place to enjoy a meal served at a pace that allowed us to enjoy the experience. We were seated at a booth in the back which gave us plenty of room, far enough away from other diners that we did not have to share in their conversations. Lishan and Randall were our waiters. Lishan did most of the service and was outstanding in helping us choose our meal (the three course beef dinner) explaining the dishes and making sure that they were to our satisfaction. The food was outstanding. For two, we had 4 appetizers - a good shrimp cocktail, an outstanding frisee salad, an outstanding prosciutto and fig dish and avocado with pickle beets. The shrimp cocktail was good, but pedestrian beside the other three dishes which were outstanding. The figs with the prosciutto were wonderfully sweet and complemented the ham wonderfully. The main course included a ribeye done medium and a filet done medium rare, as suggested by Lishan. The meat was served already sliced so my wife and I could serve ourselves easily. The meat was seasoned perfectly and was delicious with not enhancements. The side dishes were a variety of mushrooms, which I avoid but my wife loved - she said they transported her to the earth in the forest, and snap peas with a romesco sauce and another topping. The peas were done perfectly and the sauces complemented the peas rather than overwhelmed them. I was not wild about the pureed potatoes but my wife loved them. For dessert we had mixed berry cheesecake, with blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, a combo of mango and raspberry sorbet and a chef selection of fresh fruit. Plus, since they knew it was our anniversary, the restaurant provided a fabulous monkey bread with banana ice cream. If all these seems like a lot - it was. But it was all delicious and a wonderful experience.

Excellent service, wine list and steaks

By Kevin C |

A meal at Craftsteak is well worth the stop at MGM. While the restaurant is difficult to find within the large complex, the meal was worth it! Whether wines by the glass or bottle, the choices are extensive and outstanding. Our steaks were properly prepared to our liking, extremely flavorful and presented with delicious sides. Our waiter was patient while we explored the menu. The creamy potatoes are truly a destination! The selection of whiskey at the bar is outstanding. It is a relaxing destination in and of itself. A pour or two was a great way to finish the evening!

Amazing. One of my best experiences with steak. I take cut experience. Starters was very good. Steak was amazing.

By Andrey T |

List of wine is amazing. Staff is very professionall. I will recomend this place to everyone. Its a little expensive but it worth it

Don't waste your money

By Maggie B |

Although the service was excellent, the food was just average and the atmosphere wasn't. I have had much better tasting beef. I had the braised short ribs and was really disappointed. I wouldn't recommend spending money at this restaurant.

Good place for the more fish/less meat set

By Taylor B |

My wife and I arrived in Las Vegas conceding that we would gain a few pounds at the dining table and lose a few pounds (or dollars) at the gaming table. But we wanted to remain loyal to our more fish/less meat philosophy. So far, so good. Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak restaurant at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino gave us an excellent opportunity to sample both items. Colicchio, a James Beard Award-winning chef, boasts one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas. But his menu is very diverse, covering all bases. We started with shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad and Maine lobster bisque. For entrees, my wife chose Chilean sea bass over salmon and Diver sea scallops while I opted for the 14-ounce roasted bone-in filet over the ribeye. For sides, we had baked potatoes, asparagus and broccoli. For dessert, we shared a delicious chocolate souffle. It doesn't get any better than this, even in Las Vegas.

Fantastic meal with stellar service.

By Audrey T |

Service was great. Thank you to Mesfan who recommended The 3 course dinner. We did one regular and one wagyu. Delicious food. The mushrooms and potatoes were amazing. I also really appreciated that the wine was served at the right temperature! Fantastic all around!

Still the best!

By Heath E |

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. From the chef menu to individually ordering it’s great. A bit pricey but it’s not out of bounds for Vegas. Short rib is the best item on menu. I went during NYE and while many places are overwhelmed, this place was on point. My steak was a bit on the rare side but that’s all I can criticize on this visit.

Amazing...every part!

By HotelGirl811 |

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary dinner and it was perfect. We started with the lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail and then enjoyed the wagyu filet and chilean sea bass. All of it was delicious! Last but certainly not least was the cinnamon monkey bread which has got to be one of the best desserts out there. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was comfortable yet classy. Will definitely return when back in town!

The best meal we've ever had!

By MrsSmith517 |

The service was incredible, but the food was even better! My husband and I have never had such delicious food. We highly recommend it!!

What happened Tom?????

By ColoradoSpringermom |

What happened Tom? Salad was underdressed, strip steak came on a lukewarm skillet and scallops were rubbery. A lot of money for little effort. Bummer!

Great Experience!

By adrianausa |

Great experience at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server Sharon was amazing and on point with her recommendation on the Domestic Waygu Skirt Steak. I was hesitant to get it because when I go to a steak house, I normally order the ribeye, but I was glad I did because it was delicious. Another menu item worth mentioning is the cocktail I had, “La Vie en Rose”, which was also delicious. Overall, very pleased with the restaurant ambiance, service, and quality of the food and drinks. I will definitely recommend this place and will come back whenever I get the chance.

Graduation Celebration

By Christine D |

My husband suggested Craftsteak to celebrate completing my Master's degree as I am a huge fan of Tom Colicchio. Craftsteak did not disappoint. We ordered off of the chef's menu, and both chose domestic wagu. Our appetizers were Italian Buffalo Mozzarella and Prosciutto San Daniele. For our entrees, my husband got the NY Strip, and I got Filet Mignon with a side of potato puree and mushroom assortment. We ended the meal with Cinnamon Monkey Bread and Chocolate Cake. This was the best meal of my entire life!!! The deliciousness started with our appetizers and continued through dessert. The chef's menu was more economical than ordering a la carte. The steak melted in my mouth. I cannot describe the look my husband had on his face with this first bite--he might have taken a quick trip to heaven. The service was impeccable. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Vegas.

Great Food, But Over Priced!

By CdnTravellers2011 |

We had a lovely dinner here. The food tasted delicious, the restaurant itself was beautiful and we were seated in a very lovely booth, however, there was nothing to the experience that made it worth almost $800 Canadian for two couples. Our table had the Hanger Steak, Fillet Mignon and Wagyu Beef & Lobster - all delicious, perfectly cooked. The salads and sides were good too, but nothing special about those, they were just regular salads & sides. PLEASE NOTE: They suggested we get 3 apps to share and 3 or 4 sides to share with our group of 4, however that was WAY TOO MUCH FOOD. 2 apps and 2 sides would have more than enough for our group. Instead we left so much uneaten food on our table at the end. The wine list is ridiculously long - you get lost in it and it becomes impossible to choose. It really should be shortened instead of hundreds of options. We ended up ordering a Caeser and beers to start because the list was too inundating. We also had about 3 different servers at one time, which actually felt a little bit strange to be honest. It feels more intimate to have 1 server who gets to know you throughout the meal. So, while the tasted great, 4 star for sure, the rest left us wanting...we did not feel we got value for the cost.

WAAAYYYYYY overpriced

By luvtravlin1950 |

Baltimore’s “Prime Rib” is my absolute favorite high end steak restaurant and truly rivals the best in NYC; this restaurant is OK but with its greatly inflated prices has illusions of grandeur. Staff was attentive, food was adequate but “never again!”

Good Steak House

By Giacomo V |

We choose this place for New Year Eve. Wasn't a specific atmosphere and the menu was any other days. Sirloin steak and filet mignon were just perfect. some salads and a long list of side dishes with several good options among that we picked Brussel sprouts. Good and accurate service. Wine list expensive (as usual in the steakhouses) but with great bottles and few with reasonable prices. Maybe they can improve tablecloth for a better looking.

First time, won't be the last

By dogdoc101 |

My husband and I have wanted to try this restaurant for a couple of years and finally got around to it. I loved how this was a place that made us feel like we were in a seperate restaurant and not super close to the casino. It made it easier to have a conversation without all the extra noise and people. It also didn't have a stuffy, formal atmosphere like some other fine dining we have been to. We had a great meal and the service was the best. Started with the quail appetizer then went for the scallops and filet. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also highly recommend the Key Lime Martinis and Hinchcliff. We will be back.

Terrible customer service

By E. Normus B |

We had a reservation at 5PM, right when the restaurant opened. Apparently a light bulb was out somewhere in the place, and the hostess told us we wouldn’t be seated until the light was fixed. At 5:10 the maintenance crew finally saunters in past all the diners waiting to sit down. Another ten minutes go by with no one being seated. Why wasn’t the maintenance crew there at 4:30 to fix the light if the restaurant opens at 5? Why can’t anyone sit down? How about offering everyone to sit at the bar? How about a complimentary drink to compensate for the delay? After 20 minutes of standing around, we walked next door to Emeril’s Louisiana Fish House, where we were seated immediately, and enjoyed a fantastic dinner. For a restaurant that is going to charge $100 for a steak ought to have a professional management team that knows how to provide service to their customers. The hostess was completely uninterested in the numerous customers that were queueing up around the hostess kiosk, and a manager was nowhere to be found. I never got to experience how good or bad the steak is, and I never will…….with service like what I experienced before I even sat down, I won’t ever go back.

Bachelor Party Meal

By Zach M |

We got a chef's tasting menu for about eight guys. It was so much food, but a great deal for the price. Excellent meal.

disappointing experience

By sharkie d |

We ate here the night after Atelier Joel Roubuchon and that may be the reason why we were disappointed by the experience. Depending on the server, you either got the history of wagyu or none at all. Service was spotty - the assorted oysters were not identified, water glasses remained empty and utensils placed anywhere on the place mat. The steaks were the most disappointing thought. They are served in a cast iron skillet and were under-seasoned. If the juis from the skillet was used, the seasoning was adequate.

Tasty

By ozzieamy |

For sure a good meal. Service was great. The pricing though seemed a bit unreasonable to handle. I wouldn’t return

Disappointing and Expensive

By mark48tennis |

I have been to Craftsteak several times thru the years, but on a recent visit in January, I was very disappointed in the food, service and overall quality. For a tab of over $200 for two people, I would have expected to be a bit "wowed" by the food and service. Instead, the steak was served a bit on the warm to cold side, the side dishes were over-cooked, and the salmon was not thoroughly cooked. Our server was lost for 15 minutes on several occasions and rarely checked on us. For the price, there are too many good places to eat in Las Vegas. If you want a steak-go to Charlie Palmer's in the Four Seasons!

Fantastic

By cjritchey |

Fantastic. Second time to visit. Great food and service. Had chef’s menu and well worth it. A little pricey but we had 2 bottles of wine from extensive wine list. . Will go back again

A rollercoaster -- lots of ups and downs

By FoodieMom2015 |

We were excited to try a Tom Colicchio restaurant. We went for dinner on a Saturday night, so it was very crowded. The host took us to a table next to the kitchen door. We asked for a different table and the host accommodated us. Our server came by to greet us and give us menus. She departed. She did not return. After about 10 minutes, another server (perhaps a manager) noticed that we did not have drinks and still had menus. He took our drink orders. Our server returned to discuss the menu with us and took our orders. Our drinks finally arrived and they were worth the wait. My husband had a smoked Manhattan that made quite a smoky spectacle. Service continued to be inconsistent. When our server took our orders, she said she would bring us bread. No bread appeared. After a while, we asked a different server for bread. When it finally arrived, we were happy we had insisted. It was hot and tasty. The menu was focused on steak but also had non-steak options. We shared a starter called tomatoes and basil pesto. I should have known better than to order tomatoes in January. The tomatoes were mealy and flavorless. Not the restaurant's fault, but would be better not to offer this dish in winter. My husband had the short ribs, which were flavorful and rich. We used the bread to sop up the sauce. I had the scallops, which were average. The sauce was too garlickly. Our mushroom side-dish was excellent. The dessert menu was limited. We shared a piece of chocolate caramel cake. It was huge. We had high hopes, but it was disappointing. The cake was claggy and there was no discernible caramel flavor. We wanted to love this restaurant, but we did not. I would not return.

Excellent food but maybe a bit out of my league

By girlygirlinid |

Sis and I are unrepentant rednecks so this place initially felt a little out of our league but the waiter was super helpful in helping us understand what we were looking at. We both had the lobster bisque and it was EASILY the best we have ever had. Sis had the hanger steak and fingerling potatoes and I had the braised short rib with cauliflower. One hint...the sides are meant to be shared so order different things so you can try each other's. They are even served family style in the middle of the table. Sis and I realized later we should have shared her steak but it all was very good. Also, utilize your waiter to find a drink to your liking. They know their stuff.

Pricy, but next level experience!

By af3ll |

Went here for a great meal with a friend over a long weekend in Vegas. I will say at the beginning it is not cheap and not something you could do every day, but it is well worth it for every now and then. I had the steak tartar, fingerling potatoes, cauliflower, mushrooms and a 10 oz domestic wagyu. The steak was cooked to perfection and was incredible. The slides were also outstanding. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter explained everything and seemed like genuinely wanted to be there. Really cool team and I can't recommend the place enough. The chefs and team there will definitely not be told to pack their knives and go...

Excellent food

By debging |

We at here in September and it was perfect. The crab bisque is amazing. I had the Caesar salad and my husband had the petite mignon steak. He had a side of fingerling potatoes. Seriously? How can anyone make a potato taste that good? He said the steak was cooked perfectly. My salad was really good, the anchovies were very tasty. The bread was amazing too. We plan on going back next time we are in Las Vegas. It is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. FYI. Great service and atmosphere. We highly recommend it.

A lovely birthday meal

By hippychick1965 |

We were staying at the neighbouring Luxor hotel and came here for dinner on my 60th birthday Service was fantastic the waiters were great, we had the French onion soup and steak tartare to start which were all really good I had the ribeye, two of us had the beef short ribs and one had the New York strip steak, we had sautéed mushrooms, asparagus and potato puree as accompaniments, everything was well presented and very very nice. They presented me with a small chocolate mousse with a happy birthday message. We were full and didn’t order dessert, unbeknown to me my daughter had taken over a cake topper to put on a dessert so they actually brought out a free dessert of a cinnamon cake thing which was a lovely gesture I’m pretty sure the bill was around $600 so with a tip was close to around $750, we actually used MGM room comps for the bill, a big gambler son equals good comps, thanks MGm Was it worth that kind of amount, we had no alcohol just water and three cokes, no not really but it was very nice and to be fair everything in Las Vegas now comes with a hefty price tag. The service was amazing

Excellent steak, service was perfect

By DM_1278 |

Steak and meal was cooked to perfection, all was hot and fresh, drinks were superb. The service was outstanding. Definitely worth a splurge if visiting Vegas or the MGM Grand for your stay or an evening.

Dinner in Paradise

By Joe Crisp |

Want a first hand experience on felling like your a king and enjoy delicious succulent steak as well as salads that will make your taste buds come alive? Try the rib eye dinner with family style salads, the best hands down! The next evening I ate at Chef Ramseys steak house in the Paris casino, service was sub par, food was a grade above fast food steak house, but not in same ball park

World class!

By Cody G |

I was here recently with a group of 20-25 and was very impressed with the service we received. The food was incredible too, and I don’t want to sell that short but the service we received really put it over the top. Blue was our head server and we were immediately greeted by him and he paid close attention to detail throughout the night. Highly recommend!!

Excellent as usual

By Whitney E |

We appreciated being able to have 2 steaks served sliced for our party of 5. We are trying to be mindful about our meat consumption but still want to enjoy an occasional splurge. We loved that the server made that recommendation to us and he did not appear at all disappointed that our bill would be comparatively smaller. We were able to enjoy many sides and wine at our table without the pressure of trying to eat a large steak. It was so enjoyable to have a family style meal and chat about what we liked; and have that shared experience without being given a hard time. We wasted no food and felt great after leaving. The customer service could not have been better. Thank you!

Try the warm monkey bread for dessert!

By Scoota139 |

We’ve followed Tom since early Top Chef days and were excited to finally go to CraftSteak. We were not disappointed!! The food was amazing and staff was on point. It’s a well-oiled machine down to every last detail. We opted for the chefs special and let the team pick our courses, just mentioned we did not want any fish and they easily accommodated us. Of note was the steaks, pancetta first course, whipped potato side and monkey bread dessert. All the food complemented each other perfectly. Was the best meal of our lives so far and a most beautiful experience!

Excellent food - fantastic service

By George C |

Visited as a family for New Year’s Eve. Food was excellent. We’ve not been to the US for over a decade, generally service has been good but not as it used to be, however the service throughout our visit here was exceptional. From the runners to the waiters every person was engaging and clearly knew the menu and wines inside and out. Great experience and would highly recommend a visit though it’s not cheap !

Solid meal, super overpriced

By Shrubbo |

So nothing here was categorically bad, but it is WAY overpriced for what it is, especially considering the density of fabulous steakhouse options in Vegas. Reservation went well, seated right away. Cocktails were fantastic. 3 of us ordered steaks, 2 had domestic wagyu and one just a filet. The steaks were...fine. The filet was bland, under seasoned, and just...fine. The sides were all very good, but overpriced for what was delivered. I almost always order scallops when at a steakhouse and they were some of the best I've had, and not overpriced. So that was a plus. They make a big deal of having wagyu beef, but it's just marketing. Especially the domestic. Wagyu is just the Japanese word for cattle breeds, essentially the word for beef. It does not automatically denote any sort of quality in any sense other than marketing. They offered A5 Japanese Wagyu, but compared to the rest I wouldn't think it's worth the outrageous expense. The things that drag the place down, other than the generally OK steaks, is the extremely loud 80s music playlist they had going. A huge mismatch to the general vibe everything else in the room is going for. Wasn't a fan of the decor, but it was...fine. Service from busboys and others was great, from our waiter it was just so so. Desserts looked OK, but nothing was enticing enough for anyone to order. Kind of expected more from the head judge of Top Chef. But other than his name on the logo there's no sign of him, which is nice compared to how much many restaurants shove the celebrity chef aspect in your face (looking at you Morimoto's next door, with the 2 story picture of him). So yeah. For this price point we expected pure excellence on every level. Not so much. There are far, FAR better options for the same kind of food nearby.

Favourite steakhouse in Vegas

Never seems to disappoint...year after year Love this spot - best steaks in Vegas and do surprisingly awesome scallops. Excellent wine list as you would expect. Our steaks - fillet and NY strip were beautifully done

James Beard must be spinning in his grave

By Honest Critic |

I've enjoyed watching Tom Colicchio on "Top Chef" over the years, and I like that he gives honest but encouraging criticism. I'll try to do the same. First, I asked the hostess if Tom ever came in. She said, "Not yet, this year." That seemed like a bad sign to me. It got worse from there. The service was uneven. We couldn't tell who was the maître d', the waiter, or the busboy -- but none seemed very familiar with the menu. Perhaps it's difficult to find good help due to COVID19, but there was even confusion about whose plate was being served at the table. One of us ordered his steak blackened, and we couldn't tell a difference. We all got the $69 bone-in ribeye, which was about the most gristly piece of crap I've ever had, on par with a Western Sizzlin'. They served the steaks on metal plates, which they said was to keep them hot (but metal dissipates heat), and they also gave us a porcelain dinner plate -- very confusing. The side dishes were unremarkable. A bottle of Caymus was like $250 (Probably 400% markup). In all, for a $750+ bill for three people, this was by far the most disappointing and disillusioning meal ever. I realize "reality" TV is just staged, but the reality of this meal was: if Tom were appearing on Top Chef as a contestant, he would be relegated to the Last Chance Kitchen after this elimination challenge. Tom, please get back to Vegas sometime and fix this place!

Not EVEN close to worth the money

By Mike S |

The service was the best thing about Craftsteak. The Lobster bisque was gritty with very little lobster meat in it. I've had better steaks at Outback.

Bar dining at its finest.

By HOBY_1986 |

Enjoyed some NCAA action while dining on delicious bone-in ribeye. The beauty of the bar was that you can order half order of sides which are served only family style in the dining room. Bartenders are there to meet your needs as involved or not depending on your preference. The bread is a bit addictive - cast iron buttered yeast rolls. Steak cooked well with a nice crust. The beet salad was not my fave by a long shot. I would not order again and I am a beet person. It was just lackluster and there were other options that would have been better.

Expect a Great Meal!

By dwillenbring |

The steak is probably some of the best I've ever had. Service was top notch and the price is about what you would expect for a top-tier steakhouse. Highly recommend!

NUMBER ONE PLACE IN THE WORLD TO EAT!!!!!

By Donald H |

We just had the best service and amazing food at this restaurant. We have eaten all over the world and this is our number one place to eat. Thanks to Marvin (or Martin -sorry ) and the whole staff that served our family of 7!! Our grandson who is only 8 thought the food was amazing!!

Great food and location

By Phishstx52 |

We went to craftsteak before seeing the cirque show KA. It was close enough to finish up dinner and stroll over to the show. Our waitress was knowledgeable friendly and worked so hard! She had some great menu suggestions which included trying the warm frisee salad. It was outstanding. Bring your readers I had trouble seeing the wine prices.

Amazing dinner!

By SmittyJA24 |

I visited this steakhouse restaurant as a treat to myself for my birthday & was not disappointed. Atmosphere is classy and very up-scale. Service is top-notch, as good as any and better than most. My steak (filet mignon, $62) was tender, tasty, and grilled exactly to my preference. Dessert (cheesecake) was equally fantastic.

Dinner before KA

By WSUnurse |

We made 5pm reservations for the early show of KA. The service was attentive and we made it in plenty of time. We split a 22oz steak instead of ordering seperate or doing the tasting menu. Salads can be shared. The warm frisee salad was top notch and better than the caesar. The monkey bread was good as well as creme brulee. One thing we notice was salt. The rolls seems super salty, along with the fingerling potatoes. Were fans of Top Chef so we wanted to try. It was good. There is a Joel Robuchon right there too though, so next time we might try that.

Probably the best on the strip

By Brad B |

This is likely the best restaurant on the strip. It isn’t in the best location (MGM doesn’t offer the same feel that Craftsteak does), but the quality and consistency of the food and service is second to none. Their menu has been basically the same for more than 15 years, and that’s because there is no need to mess with perfection.

Great food

By badrax |

The place is inviting and pleasant despite COVID restrictions The service was great The food was great from sides to steak selection The desert were solid

Great first dinner of our trip

By tamarajmartin |

I’m a big Tom Colicchio fan and I was excited to eat at Craftsteak. We were seated immediately at our reservation time and our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was cooked to perfection. I would have licked the potato purée bowl clean if it didn’t make me look like a toddler. While the meal is pricey it was definitely worth it and it was no more than I’ve spent in other cities for the same kind of meal.

I Guess The Only Thing To Make It Better Would Be Meeting Tom Colicchio.

By Heston Y |

I've never eaten at a Tom Colicchio restaurant. The service was great. The roasted filet was great. They actually had a tall order dealing with me and my allergies, but they made it happen without skipping a beat.. We also got the potato puree and the asparagus. All of it was great. This place was really expensive. So, just be prepared when you go.

Very Good But Not Great

By HBDST |

The service was excellent. The food was very good, but not great or outstanding. The prices were very high. I would not go again.

Incredibly Cocktail; Subpar Steak

By Charles C |

I came for a business meeting. I ordered the tequila specialty cocktail they have and it was one of my favorite drinks I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. I ordered the dry aged bone in strip steak and it was subpar. For what I paid 63$ I expected better. Surprisingly it has little to no flavor and was very stringy in the middle like it had extra tendons/cartilage. The broccoli side was great, but the puréed mashed potatoes were not that good. I would come again for the cocktails, but probably skip the meal.

Birthday Meal Done Right

By Tifferpalooza |

Arranged for group dining for a party of 18 for my husband’s birthday. We chose the family style angus beef menu and 2 hour bar package. The menu came with 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, 4 sides and 2 desserts served family style. They were very accommodating with a few allergies and eating restrictions. We have been to Craftsteak before, but in a smaller party, so I was worried the service might not be as great as it has been in the past. However, my fears were not warranted. We received excellent service overall. The food came out at a nice pace, and the drinks were promptly refilled. I think everyone averaged about 4-5 cocktails for the meal, including wine, so the bar package ended up being a good deal. It took us about 2-2.5 hours get through all the courses, and by the end, we could barely move (in a good way). The quality of the food was delicious as always. Craftsteak continues to be our go-to Steakhouse when visiting Las Vegas.

Never disappointed

By Nathalie SH |

This time again, a perfect welcome, in a beautifully arranged room. A very good choice of high quality meats, but not only. Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak remains a safe bet at the MGM Grand and we will return there without hesitation.

Shockingly poor service that ruined a special day

By Skeeter013 |

I’ve eaten at Craftsteak multiple times over the past 5 or 6 years and have had several memorable meals there, which is why we keep returning. However, my recent experience at Craftsteak was a total disaster and completely ruined my son’s birthday celebration. This was the only time that I received horrible customer service and substandard food quality. Our server, Kevin, was surprisingly unprofessional; he did not describe the menu and made no attempt to engage with us. He did not explain a single thing on the menu and we felt completely rushed during our meal. This was my son’s first time dining at the restaurant and I wanted him to experience the same excellent service that I’ve been accustomed to at Craftsteak. Regarding the food quality, we all enjoyed the warm frisée salad, mashed potatoes and tenderloin. However, all of the baked items (rolls and monkey bread) tasted dry and stale. Unfortunately, the ribeye and strip steak were under seasoned and surprisingly tough. I don’t believe that this meal met the high standards of the Craft brand. I can forgive a “mediocre ” steak occasionally but I cannot forgive the poor customer service that we received. When you visit a restaurant of this caliber and spend $500 for 3 meals, you expect to be treated respectfully and you want to feel like you’re a valued customer. Neither of these things happened. I take no pleasure in writing a negative review. However, I honestly felt like we were robbed when we left the restaurant (and I was furious). This is not how I wanted to remember my son’s 21st birthday.

Lack of Elegance

By Heather T |

I'll start by saying the meats were fantastic. I had the 24-hour short rib and my husband had the filet mignon. Both were perfectly cooked and best-in-class. The soup and salad starter (Bisque and Warm Frisee) were also quite good. However, there were some serious service issues that hurt the experience. Once done with the soup and salad course, we were left with empty dirty dishes in front of us for a very long time. Smelling slowly dying remnants of lobster bisque is not what I expect for a meal that quickly hits $500. The other major issue was that we were largely ignored. I had to catch the waiter as he came near the table to order wine for the main course. Due to having to catch the waiter by happenstance rather than proper timing, our meal came before the wine by about 10 minutes. So, a less than elegant experience. Few other issues that impacted the overall experience: - The server spilled soup on the charger and placemat - The sides were mediocre at best. Potato puree was under-seasoned and the mushrooms were very, very dry. - The managers never checked in and we didn't see them touch a single table all night. - The time between when it was clear we were finished and when we were offered desert was nearly 20 minutes (we started to time it since the rest of the meal was poorly timed as well). By this time, we were just ready to leave. - The busser scraped my plates remnants onto my husband's plate before stacking them. Again - a complete lack of the elegance and flourish you expect at a place like this. You can scrape plates in the dish area, not at the table. - The whole thing made us feel like our business was unwanted.

A BIG overpriced disappointment.

By Texaque |

My friend and dining partner (one of three) had raved on about this place. Wow! A great (although pricey) steak dinner from a known celebrity chef. I couldn’t wait! We started with bread. Dry and not special. We all ordered Wagyu beef, mine being a medium rare rib wheel with mashed, cauliflower and asparagus. I was chasing it with Pelligrino. My friends with drinks. I started with a Cesar salad. A pretty tough thing to mess up. NOT. The salad consisted of romaine spears, dusted with dressing and dry croutons. Toss in a sprinkling of pre shredded parm and you have my salad. We shared the sides and they were unremarkable as well. The puréed mashed were good. My steak was a larger cut (more than expected) and solid red: a strong rare. Now I’m not one to squabble over meat doneness unless it’s over cooked or blue rare. As this was Domestic Wagyu (is there really such a thing?) and a Craft Steak, I figured it should be scrumptious. Wrong again. Very tough, very unseasoned and very just not good. A 2 out of 10. Really? Craftsteak? Yep. Not even mediocre. This review sounds like I’m on a mission. To defame and thrash this place. I’m not. Read some of my other reviews. I could tell my friends were underwhelmed as well but we all chose to nod and pretend it was great. Not! I am very, very disappointed and really feel used! A $600 meal and $120 tip for a two star meal! No wine. Yowser! It kind of hurts to write that!

Don’t waste your money at Tom Colicchos Craftsteak, Las Vegas

By lobima4203 |

There are much better steakhouses in Vegas than craftsteak. My husband and myself went here based on all the good reviews. I really wished we would have spent our monies elsewhere. The wagyu steak has zero flavor and they chef used way too much thyme on the steak and side dishes. Not to mention the atmosphere was anything BUT worth the prices we paid for food. Save your money and go elsewhere .

Not what it used to be

By Joe Berr |

Not what it used to be. Starters are expendable, meat is good but nothing to write home about. And no french fries, really?

great meal

By skippy265 |

We ate here during our stay at the MGM Grand. The food was excellent as was the service. Just a bit pricey

Overall good, but not great food, and definitely a bit overpriced

By tmiller253 |

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The staff at this restaurant is excellent. The hostesses, food server (Stacey), manager, and assistants were all great- friendly, conversational, checked-in frequently, and never left you wanting or needing anything. I had a spinach salad and it was okay, and that is usually a pretty good indicator on meals at nice restaurants (really great restaurants usually have great salads). The fresh bread in the skillet and clarified butter, served along side dinner was excellent. I ordered the Wagyu brisket and a side of asparagus. The brisket was very good- flavorful and extremely tender and came apart with just a fork. It was most similar to a traditional pot roast in its preparation with carrots, onions and celery "au jus." Definitely not what I expected, it was good, but other than its tenderness, the flavor was just good and did not leave me wanting to order it again in the future, particularly for the price ($72). The asparagus was cooked properly, however was not well-selected. Several pieces of the asparagus were pretty yellow and not in their prime for a restaurant of this type. I ended with a brownie and ice cream that did not leave me wanting more after a few bites. The brownie was pretty dry and lacked any real character. Vegas is full of excellent dining choices, but in my eyes, this one did not live up to the best this town has to offer on this occasion. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Excellent!

By GDH |

I came a few years ago and had a delicious hanger steak. I had to go back. I found the hanger steak as delicious as I remembered it. Also the scallops were out of this world. Excellent place.

Great food but a HUGE miss. We will not return.

By Travel040307 |

The pros: Food was very good. The cons: We went to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday there and let them know when I made the reservations online. No acknowledgment of her birthday at all. It was very disappointing. In addition, they played pop music a little too loud for a high end restaurant. It did not fit. We will not return. We are not the type of family that has money to spend at high end places, so this was such a bummer for us.

Excellent meal

By 524sharon |

Service and food were top notch! Good portion size. Good atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Disappointed :(

By Hope S |

The ball was dropped at every point of this visit. The hostess would not seat us until the entire group arrived (8), we explained one of our party had bad knees, she sent us to the lounge.... where there was no where to sit. Finally seated, service was slow and asked 3 times for bread before it was finally provided. We asked for separate checks, I know this is a pain, but it’s also a pain after - so restaurants need to accept this. Upon receiving our $70us steak, it was cold. I TYPICALLY DO NOT SEND THINGS BACK, however, at this price point and lacking all the way around, I sent it back. So left with the side dishes, we ate those while waiting for our steak. The manager came by and introduced himself and asked how everything was - I said actually our steak went back cause it was cold. He said “oh.” And actually walked away. I had to laugh at this point. The brought back our heated (not new) steak which was tough, but told us to save room for dessert, which they did provide. Sorry little too late. Will not go back, Vegas has way too many options to settle for this.

Fantastic Food!

Visited over Xmas break and it was amazing! Food was great and service was even better Marvin and Marsha made sure we were well taken care of!

A Little Disappointing

By 7GottaGetAway7 |

I had steak here last year and absolutely loved it, so I came back. This year I decided to have the short ribs, which is my favorite food. What I got was disappointing, though. The short ribs had a ton of fat (about half of them I couldn’t eat because i had just chunks of fat on my plate). The corn was very good.

Service was exceptional but

By Mimi P |

Service was exceptional as always but the steak this time was not great… had a weird taste, and was tough. Been here before and it was great, this time, I was disappointed. Drink, bread, and sides, were perfect but steak -$70, could not finish it. This meal summed up Vegas during Covid-19…it’s going to be rough.

Hanger steak

By Ronnie H |

Hanger is a secret cut not anyone else in Vegas does. Normally get typical bone in rib-eye which is good here. The hanger is so tender great steak. Sounds crazy but Don’t miss out on frisée salad. Another secret. Best salad ever ate anywhere. Must try.

Great food

By ozzieamy |

Really amazing food, super delicious. Didn’t give it a 5 star based on pricing. It’s Vegas... cut a little slack

Amazing Dinner, We felt like it was 1950

By Catherine L |

I don't normally eat meat, unless I am aware of it's origin. When we read the menu and they where able to tell us about the farms the meat came from I was very excited! We ordered a set meal, It was huge! We could not believe the food kept coming. The avocado salad was to die for! The steak was tender and melted in our mouths. It was expensive but I highly recommend.

Simply Amazing

By LaurenSFBayArea |

Our party of four had dinner at Craftsteak last night, and we cannot speak highly enough of the food, service, and ambiance. Everything was absolutely perfect. While we do not consider ourselves foodies, we have had the opportunity to eat at many highly regarded restaurants in the US and abroad. The staff struck exactly the right tone with attention to detail but making our evening fun and relaxing. We all had the chef‘s menu, which included a first course, main entrée, shared sides, and dessert. Our main entrées included the rib eye steak, domestic Wagyu filet mignon, and domestic Wagyu skirt steak. The steaks were amazing!! Flavorful and cooked to perfection. I am normally not a big steak eater, but the quality of these steaks may cause me to rethink that! Highly recommend the chef’s menu to have a cross section of all they have to offer, including their wonderful desserts. Kudos to the chefs as everything was delicious. We definitely will be coming back on our next trip to Las Vegas. Well done Craftsteak! We were thoroughly impressed.

A good choice for an upscale night out!

By Brendan |

Went to Craftsteak for dinner on a weekend trip after wanting to go for quite some time. The service was great, and the ambiance was very modern-chic steakhouse. Service was good, as expected for the price point, and cannot recommend the Aligot potatoes enough as a side. The Wagyu NY Strip was very good, but I can't say it was worth the $130+. It truly was a good steak, but I can't say it was the best steak I've ever had, though it was the most expensive. I'd recommend staying with the "standard" steaks, as my friend loved their Filet. Drinks were great and the apps were also good.

Lack of Love

By vincybie |

We initially planned to try Craftsteak's signature pork chop, but our server highly recommended the rack of lamb instead. This dish features a generous serving of eight racks of lamb, which prompted us to forgo the salmon and a raw fish appetizer. We were also encouraged to order a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, offered at a special price of $165. As frequent travelers who have dined at many prestigious restaurants around the globe, we know that a truly satisfying dining experience depends on both excellent food and attentive service. Unfortunately, our visit to Craftsteak left much to be desired on the service front. At the beginning, our server was professional and engaging, making us feel welcomed. However, as the evening progressed, his presence became increasingly scarce. We weren’t even asked how our meal was—a basic expectation at any high-end restaurant. It was disheartening to see our server spending time chatting with the table next to us and even shaking hands with them at the end of their meal, while we felt overlooked. When the bill was presented to us, it was done so from behind without our request, which felt abrupt and impersonal. Although the food itself was decent, the overall experience left us feeling neglected. We still left a generous tip for our almost invisible server, which felt undeserved given the lack of attention we received. In summary, while the food was satisfactory, the service did not meet the standards expected of a fine dining establishment, leaving us feeling unappreciated. Craftsteak has potential, but the overall experience needs significant improvement to match the quality of its offerings.

Very good

By Kent H |

I took 15 there and we ordered the Kobe chef special. The chef did a great job and great selection of steaks and vegetables. We all enjoyed it. It wasn’t cheap but my employees were impressed. The desserts we good as well.

Amazing must go!

By K8655MKchristinew |

David, Aturo, and Richard were wonderful. They made us feel right at home. We love the choice of music and also loved that we could hear the music. It was like they were playing my husbands 70's playlist. It was the perfect volume. The ambience was wonderful top notch restaurant without the stuffiness. The food was amazing! We will definitely make this a place where we go to dinner whenever we visit Vegas. Thank you so much for making our experience so memorable.

Best Wagyu NY strip steak ever!

By pixielegfiend |

Craftsteak is incredibly good. I still dream about my Wagyu strip steak 🥩 No kidding! The lobster in butter and tarragon was also exceptional. Lots of steak restaurants in Vegas, and I'm sure they're good, but this one is great!

Superb Steakhouse

By DoudlasKS415 |

Have eaten here numerous times over the years and I always walk away full and happy. Took my son this time when in town for a basketball tournament. Since he is a carnivore, thought I would treat him to something special (and the walk through the MGM is always "interesting" for a teenager. First of all, the service is something special with multiple servers making sure that you have everything that you need. The manager stopped at every table to ask how everything was and we assured her it was perfect. I had the short ribs which were delicious with an incredible sauce that paired incredibly well with the whipped potatoes and the corn (Kevin's suggestion - thank you!). My son had a bone-in ribeye which came out a perfect medium rare and was tender and flavorful. The only negative about dinner was the spinach - supposedly cooked in garlic oil. It had no flavor at all and was too watery. Not worth it. But the cinnamon monkey bread with ice cream - top 10 desserts of the last few years. Multiple servers suggested it and it did not disappoint. Buttery, caramelly, decadent way to end the night. It is a pricey dinner - $300 for two people; however, it is worth it as a splurge!

Amazingly incredibly fantastically delicious

By StacyCPAwife |

We are staying at the MGM Grand and wanted to bring dinner up to our room. We were looking for a hot fudge sundae, none to be found in the hotel, but the restaurant we ordered dinner from suggested that we try the Cinnamon Pecan Monkey Bread with Vanilla Ice Cream…OMG, it is THEEE most delicious thing I can remember enjoying. The bartender that took our order could not have been nicer. It was done within 10 minutes, although when something tastes that great, it would definitely be worth the wait.

Fabulous!!

By tamaraharvey468 |

Great atmosphere, fabulous wine list and excellent cuisine. The staff are very attentive, the sommelier extremely knowledgeable and the food excellent as always. Ordered the scallops medium and they were grilled to perfection. We done here once during every visit and recommend to others asking for recommendations. Great job again!!

Excellent dinner and service.

By MackTyson559 |

Food and service was amazing, everything about this place is top notch. The service is what really set this restaurant apart from others we have tried. We had a reservation, was seated quickly and our server really made us feel comfortable, will definitely be back.

A must visit!!

By Dana P |

We had no reservation and stumbled upon this place. We ended up having the best dinner we’ve had in Vegas at Craft. Everything from start to finish was perfect including our waitress Sarah!! Highly recommend this place for dinner.

Service was incredible

By Russell B |

Even during COVID times-our service was awesome and we enjoyed the total dicing experience. There were 13 of us and we had to be spaced at different tables but they were able to put us all in one room together. The food was outstanding although a bit on the pricey side (as expected at fine dining steakhouse in Vegas). Really only the price (as compared to others in this category) is a negative and takes review to very good.

Excellent service and Excellent Food

By gelika |

Wow, what a nice treat this was compared to what we had been eating at the pool all day. The food was absolutely cooked to perfection and delicious. One of the best filet's I have ever had. We also ordered the monkey bread for dessert and this may just be my new favorite desert. It melted in our mouths! Service was top notch here too. It is very pricey but worth every penny!

Meatlover's Paradise

By J Steiner |

I have dined at the bar and the main dining room. The experience is different but this a great restaurant for a carnivore. I had the Italian mozzarella as a starter and the short ribs as the main. The short ribs were flavourful and tender. The presentation is in a copper sauce pan.

Delicious

By Michael B |

Dinner for approximately 50 ppl and the service and food was flawless. Dinner was served family style for our group and it was perfect. Need so tender you could cut it with a fork. Sides were delicious - spinach, asparagus, grits with bacon, mashed potatoes. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend.

Short Rib fantastic

By TheMacallan1 |

Yes, it’s a Begas steakhouse. But the real prize here is the 24 hour Short Rib. Cooked in a homemade sauce. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. It cuts easily with a fork. So tender. Keep some bread to finish dipping in the sauce. Their fresh mozzarella app with hazelnuts is top notch also. When it’s all done, save some room for the monkey bread. It’s a must to share. The caramel sauce is perfect. Food was so good we hit it back to back nights.

Wonderful experience

By Sara S |

If you want a nice, steakhouse experience in Vegas, I definitely recommend Craftsteak. Our group of 4 did the tasting menu, and it was absolutely worth it. The service is impeccable, and we didn’t have one bad dish. One of our group doesn’t really like steak, so we were able to get scallops in addition to the wagyu steak options for the tasting menu. The puréed potatoes and honeyed carrots were the best side dishes I’ve had. I believe the restaurant is at full capacity, but the tables (especially the booths) are well spaced out if you’re still trying to maintain distance at restaurants.

Excellent steakhouse

By RSLM11 |

We were a table of 11 and we had a blast!! The meat was of excellent quality and the cooking was respected. Complete and very good accompanying suggestion Very good service and very professional

Great service, great food

By Jeff S |

The food was great. Their prix fixe deal is phenomenal. Honestly though, the highlight of the night was the service. Our waiter, Antonio, really cared about our experience. He provided great advice, was very conscientious, and we never waited for drink refills. Just as importantly, he was incredibly friendly. Similarly, one of the bussers, Gino, was always at the ready when we needed something. Both engaged with us genuinely without inserting themselves more than we would have wanted. As far as food - the ribeye, the wagyu filet, the cauliflower, the lobster bisque, and the triple chocolate cake were perfect.

World Class Waiter and Food

By Ben Lomax |

Was in Vegas for a work convention with my team and wanted to spoil them so cuffs off for price. They took advantage of it! I had never been to this place before though I had been to MGM Grand lots of times. Expensive for sure but 100% worth it The thing that really out this experience over the top was our waiter. If you tried to design a perfect waiter this guy would be it. Sales and service like nothing I have ever experienced no exaggeration. We got the special for the table and they brought us “all the best things we have” in three courses that felt like five. The meat was absolutely heavenly, the sides could have been a meal in themselves and the cocktails were amazing. I am not enough of a baller to go her a lot but if you have a special night with special people, I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Have the Skirt steak!

By Joni M |

Order the Skirt steak. It will be the best experience you will ever have with beef. The staff is wonderful. Great evening. We are not fans of the MGM Hotel at all. For many reasons. But we absolutely love this restaurant!

Worst Anniversary Dinner

By Becki R |

The service was great in the beginning, the appetizers were all brought out at once, both cold and hot apps. We were not fans of our hot bisque, cold oysters, and tartar coming out at once, but it had been done. We ordered 12 oysters, 6 east coast, 6 west coast. The east coast were delicious, the west coast were some of the most flavorless oysters I have ever had. The tartar had a tendon in it that I had to spit out into my napkin. I have never spit food into my napkin at a restaurant with these kind of prices. Then our entree and sides were brought out. Our $68 filet mignon had absolutely no flavor. No salt, no pepper. Nothing. I have eaten better steaks at Texas Roadhouse, for a third of the price. Our asparagus was under seasoned and undercooked. I actually requested lemon wedges to give it some kind of flavor. The Brussels Sprouts were soggy and mushy. The scallops were only seared on one side and also lacked seasoning and flavor. This was easily the worst experience we had in a restaurant in Vegas and by far the most expensive place we ate. After we received our food, our waiter stopped by 1 time immediately after we got our food to ask if everything came out AND HE NEVER CAME BACK. We didn’t get a chance to tell anyone but the gentleman refilling our water, how underwhelmed we were. The guy who came to ask how we were going to pay didn’t seem to have any care about how our meal was. It was the worst $100+ meal I have ever had and this was a $300 meal!!!! I literally cried at the table because I planned this 3 weeks ago as our anniversary dinner and as a huge Top Chef fan, I was so excited to eat at a Tom Collichio restaurant. I still cannot believe how ridiculously disappointing this dinner was and how much money we spent of awful food.

Disappointing compared to others

By travlrover55 |

Given pricepoints, we were underwhelmed -- first by the pretentious atmosphere, then by the food. If you're a beef afficianado and Wagyu is on your must-do list, maybe it would be worth it, but be prepared to pay the price. We were, having studied the menu beforehand, but also ordered a plain old black angus filet mignon. At $63, at a top drawer restaurant, we still expected a superior product--mistake (pun intended). Much better filet at The Keg for $40. Nicer atmosphere, too.

Disappointing

By baconrocks |

Just not at the level for this price or brand. Unsalted spinach, a waiter who brought the wrong wine and then spilt drops on the table as he poured it. And then they messed up the check. Food was decent overall but again just small disappointments.

Get the steak sampler!

By ChunkyPanda |

I went here for a celebration with a few people, and we ordered the steak sampler. The whole table must agree to have this, but it is well worth it! You choose the grade and cuts of steak you would like. They initially brought out the warm parker house rolls, which were delicious, with a light sprinkling of sea salt on top. The appetizer we received was the lobster bisque. This was absolutely divine, with several pieces of lobster in it. For our steaks, we ordered the rib eye, ny strip, and filet. The rib eye and ny strip were my favorites. Cooked exactly as ordered, unctuous, and just superb. For our sides, we had the brussel sprouts, wild mushrooms, and potatoes. These were also delicious. For dessert, we received a trio, but the monkey bread was the absolute winner!! Everything was so great from the food, the service, and accommodations since my friend had a broken foot! Despite the price tag, it was absolutely worth it!

Oaky experience but not worth the price $$$$ for what we experienced...

Would rate overall as a 3.5 experience. As an anniversary dinner while my wife and I were in Las Vegas (stayed in the Signature at MGM), I had higher expectations than the experience delivered. First off on the positives - beautiful restaurant and ambiance as we were seated in alcove booth. Wonderful drinks as my wife and I both got one specialty cocktail (different ones). Also very positive, my wife LOVED her French onion soup and enjoyed her scallops. The bread service was also tasty. Now on to the okay or negative reactions - I ordered the 18oz ribeye medium-rare and while not the wagyu version, I still expected a much more tender piece of meat than delivered. Also, it was more of a medium than medium rare but I didn’t want to wait on another cooked while my wife ate her meal. It was flavorful but just not as tender as I expected (since I have had many a more tender ribeye at mid budget restaurant like Texas Roadhouse). The baked potato ($26) was tasty and enjoyed the large chunks of bacon on top. I specified during the reservation online that it was an anniversary but not mention from the server so more than likely it was not communicated on our ticket since he seemed to be a very professional server. Overall, not bad but for a $300 meal, I wasn’t wowed and would not come back as their many other upscale restaurants here in Las Vegas versus trying again and hoping for a better result the next time.

It’s a wow

By 497katey |

Oh wow, what a nice surprise this was. We are staying nearby so decided to try it. It was simply outstanding! The atmosphere, the wait staff, and most importantly the food were all impeccable. This was on par with the $600 meal we had at Gordon Ramsays. Just wow.

Great place for a special treat

By Carol G |

In Las Vegas with friends and decided to treat ourselves to a meal in a special restaurant. No kids, extra special treat. Hubby's steak was too charred on the outside, so was a bit tough to chew. He didn't want to fuss and send it back and still enjoyed it. That was the only downside to 4 meals. The filet, which I typically don't order was fork tender and exceptionally good. Tables are arranged for more distance due to Covid, but this actually means you have more privacy for all diners. We had 4 different wait staff attending us, and all were friendly and helpful with menu and drink questions. It's a costly place, but for special occasions and treats it's worth the splurge. It's on our radar now and will be back on future trips.

Bring customers you don’t want

By Clint |

A client wanted to go here, I thought better from a prior visit, reluctantly we went. First, the wait staff is very good. Next, for the second and last time, all the food was second rate. 3 had steak, 2 had fish, every dish was seriously substandard. Nearly tasteless steak and the salmon was mushy. 2 of our steak guests spent the night in the bathroom. Bad for business, bad for your digestive system and anyone’s pocketbook. Shame on them.

Food

By Dream |

3/5 I wasn’t the big fan of this spot. My steak was way over cooked for asking for medium well. I got extra well done. Mash potatoes purée was very very oily. The Halibut was really good. The chocolate cake was really good.

Disappointed

By Arleen G |

Ribeye was mostly grizzle, service was less than attentive. Have been to Heritage Steak which was exceptional but this Colicchio’s didn’t compare.

Went in so excited and left SHOCKED and DISAPPOINTED!

By ShelR |

I have never had such poor service, EVER. At such a posh restaurant, we were excited for our one over the top meal to be this one, we have one big ticket meal on every trip. I am just sick that this one was what it was for the $250 we spent. Just SHOCKED and DISSAPPOINTED! The service was HORRIBLE! I have never had that bad of service in any kind of restaurant and I expected top notch at Craftsteak. 1 - We got our menus set on our table and they walked away. Didn't introduce themselves or tell us about which menu did what. I mean we could figure it out, but that isn't service. 2 - We ordered drinks and they never came. After about 20-25min I had to stop someone and ask for them. 3 - During our dinner, no one stopped by to see how we were doing. NO ONE! The water was continually filled, but no conversation like "How are you doing? Do you need anything?" We were starting to feel very uncomfortable. I tried to create small talk with my spouse, but he was just too uncomfortable to be chatty. 4 - After we were clearly done eating, we sat with our dirty plates in front of us for another 20-25min with no one stopping by, clearing plates, asking us if we would like dessert, which I would have liked. We finally just got up and walked out and asked someone for our bill then. I mentioned that we have been waiting for a long time for dessert, but no one came. I would have expected "I am embarrassed ma'am, let me get you a dessert to go on us." Nothing. Just got us our $250 bill like we were in the wrong place and needed to go. FOOD was ok. My husband salmon was cold, but no one stopped by to check and he was way to uncomfortable at that point to allow me to get up again and go find someone. My steak (filet) was good, nothing to be in awe of, but very good. The sides, broccoli was good, but the baby spinach was just mush. I cant comment on the creme brulee that I was excited about as I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO TRY IT! So bummed. Not a good night for our first night in Vegas. I wish so much that we would have eaten anywhere else and kept that kind of money for gambling. Sick to my stomach over that.

Winner, Winner & Steak Dinner Extradinaire!

By Pat B |

First, Vincent took excellent care of us, helped out by David & Martha. We started with No Reservations, hennessy vsop, grand marnier, peach liqueur, and lemon. They were wonderful and served along side of Wagyu Steak Tartare with Crostini. I probably could have stopped there, the tartare was that good. Troy, our sommelier, suggested we try the Dana Estates VASO Cabernet Sauvignon. We decided on a bottle and enjoyed it. It was a vineyard we were not familiar with; however, we will be visiting there since we live in Sonoma. Next we had caesar's salads with pickled white anchovies...a great choice. Next we shared the 18 oz dry aged bone in ribeye, along with the French fries and Spinach. Probably could have skipped the spinach, it was good, but not great. Lastly, we shared the Monkey Bread and Ice Cream and enjoyed both. A pricey but really good dinner. Would definitely recommend reservations. We made early in the week for Saturday night. While its Vegas, we enjoyed dressing up a bit for dinner out.

Craftsteak

By Tatum75 |

Craftsteak is a beautiful restaurant set inside MGM. We had reservations for 5 and by 6 it was almost full. I ordered the pork chops and garlic confit with rosemary and thyme. The pork chops was moist and thick with minimal fat. The garlic confit was a nice added flavor as were the fresh herbs. Since everything is a la carte I also had the potato puree which was the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Creamy soft buttery. Absolutely delicious. Asparagus was cooked well also....my mom had the scallops which I sampled and they were seared perfectly in a simple wine sauce. Great attentive service without being annoying. Highly recommend.

Faultless experience

By Breaded Goose |

My wife and I tried Craftsteak in Las Vegas after seeing many positive reviews, and we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend a visit. Craftsteak is located in MGM Grand. We had never been before and like all the hotels it's massive so we took a bit to find our bearings and eventually seen a sign for it. We were promptly shown our seats and our server talked us through the menu in a helpful way (and didn't overdo it). I had a bone-in Rib-Eye with a side of scallops and peppercorn sauce, and my wife had the Short Rib. We also got some sides of fries and asparagus. The food was excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly. Would say it’s in the top 3 best steaks that I’ve ever had. The portions were massive and just about had room for desert. We tried the Panna Cotta and the Monkey Bread with toffee sauce. Again, fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also nice, it's dimly lit but not so much like you feel you are eating in the dark. The cocktails were also good (would recommend Two Smoking Barrels). As for the cost, it's not cheap as you'd imagine. Our bill was $345 (softened a bit that we had $150 resort credit!). If you are looking for a wonderful steak in a nice setting with high quality service, I'd happily recommend Craftsteak.

Best menu in Las Vegas

By jimmortensen |

You want to be spoiled this is the restaurant for you the service was tops the food Devine prepared to perfection. Do not eat a meal before you go here make sure you have plenty of room. The desserts are to die for. Make reservations way in advance they are booked up most nights. If they do have an opening it’s worth how ever long the wait is.

Dismissive Manager

By Kevin B |

We had a reservation here for my son's 21st birthday. We were 15 min late because MGM is so big and their signage is so bad. We were told that they wouldn't seat us because they have a 10 minute grace period in the most dismissive manner imaginable even when i explained what happened and why it was important. I have no idea if the food or service is good or bad but our treatment by the manager was horrendous. We walked across the casino and Hakkasan sat us right away, and we had an incredible meal. My son got his birthday steak and was treated like a king!

Amazing

By Ladylambretta |

Amazing Evening had the the fillet mignon wow best steak ever ordered some sides great portions each one was enough to share, the atmosphere is brillian, relaxed and chilled ,the team were outstanding Fabio is a star,it was an amazing night with amazing food love this place

Loved it - best strip steak I've ever had

By JeffKrueger |

We abolutely loved the domestic Waygu Skirt Steak as well as the Short Rib. Both were excellent. We started with some chili and the Buffalo Mozzarella and as great as they both were, you'll likely have to choose between starters, side dishes or desserts. Despite bringing huge appetites we couldn't finish it all - and we really, really wanted to. It's a bit $$$$, but truely excellent food and service.

Perfectly cooked steak with attentive staff

By 2172DiscernTravel |

I have always enjoyed Tom Colicchio and so when it came time to select a place for a steak in Las Vegas, Craft Steak seemed like an natural choice. We booked online for an early a Thursday evening dinner. On arrival the wonderful hostesses had us checked in and escorted us to a spectacular table engaging us in enjoyable conversation as she seated us. From the time we were seated the trio of wait and table staff were prompt and diligent attending to our every need. We ordered two Ribeye steaks and split the Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes sides. The steaks were perfectly cooked and served on hot plates. Both side were also well cooked however the fingerling potatoes weren’t earth shattering. The restaurant is priced in line with most of the other restaurants to whom celebrity chefs lend their names. The two of us ate for less than $250 (without alcohol). Overall I would recommend this steak house for the ambiance, service and the quality of steak cookery.

Delicious

By eahalstead |

Superior service, server was very knowledgeable about his menu and recommended good pairings. Everything we ordered was delicious. The prices are pretty high but the service and quality of the meal made the price almost tolerable.

Don't miss this place

By kevin w |

Fantastic service. Great food. I would highly recommend this as a don't miss. Steak, lamb, and fish all consumed at our table and all a+

Incredible

By Hart |

Expect to spend some $$$. But worth it-especially the chef’s menu- comes with a filet & rib-eye. Shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad & prosciutto with pears. Yeast rolls- then steak with asparagus, whipped potatoes & mushrooms. For dessert they brought the monkey bread with cinnamon ice cream, cheesecake with berries, fresh fruit & coconut & lemon sorbet. I’ve never been so stuffed! My birthday dinner & a great martini & my husband had a couple of beers was just under $400 including a 20% tip. Worth it for a memorable meal!

Go to vegas and get this steak

By Jane W |

I am so pleased with my visit. would give 10 out five stars for the food and value. Staff were efficient and amazing, wonderful dinner and dessert. Steak cooked perfection the bernaise sauce they should bottle. Sides were wonderful and perfect complement. Dessert chocolate layer cake with ganache sauce and ice cream was amazing and easily shareable. I would come back to Vegas just to eat here again, Michael the server was right on the ball when I joined another solo diner and we had a great conversation and both of us were impressed.

Group of 12, steak for 15!

By wemarionFishnGolf |

Went to Craftsteak with a bunch of colleagues and we ordered the family style which is a full 4 course meal... outstanding appetizers (chilled shrimp, cabbage with bacon and blue cheese, salads) Myriad of wonderful steaks (Ribeye, Filet, Hangar, Short Ribs, and TBone) Flavorful sides (cauliflower, asparagus, mashed potatoes, fries, creamed spinach) Dessert! (Creme brûlée,cheesecake, monkey bread, and sorbets and ice cream) I likely missed some items but it was incredible... a little on the steep side in price but definitely a great experience.

Wish I would have read the reviews...

By Leuanna V |

Husband and I went to Craftsteak during our last Vegas stay. We decided to share our meal, as neither of us was extremely hungry. We ordered wine, salad, NY strip, scallops and broccoli. Other than the wine (Frank Family Vineyards – highly recommend) everything else was quite lacking. The restaurant itself is very underwhelming, service was not great (and they were not close to full) and our meal was not served plated or split. Our steak came out before any other items and the scallops were undercooked and under seasoned (not to mention you only get 3 for $26). The broccoli was crunchy and every dish was not plated well. Won’t go back – shame on Tom Colicchio.

Tourist Trap. Good, Not Great. Overpriced

By Kyle O |

Wife and I ate here the night of July 5... the earthquake happened while we were there. Chose this place because we use to stay at the MGM Grand and heard it was great, but never went there. Bottom line, we’ve eaten at at least a dozen steakhouses on par or better than this for 2/3 of the price. A tourist trap that takes advantage of a chef name and high traffic location. Running it down for you... Service: They boasted that we had three people helping on our table... problem was we never could find one of them. The couple next to us over heard us talking about it, laughed and agreed. The main waiter had an ego that didn’t seem possible for a waiter. You would’ve thought he traded hedge funds on Wall Street or something. It is extremely rare that I’ll tip less than 20%... this three-man crew was so bad they warranted a 0% tip, but gave them 10% thanks to the wife’s sympathy. Food: Started with steak tartare. 7.4 out of 10. Not the best we’ve had but up there. Ceasar Salad: 0.5 of 10. So bad I seriously only ate the croutons... which were a 1.0 of 10 themselves. When one of the three wait staff finally took my plate, he looked at me like I was crazy when I told him I was done with it. Just get it out of my face. Filet: 9.25 of 10. Was excellent. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Actually worth the price paid. Chalk up another service issue though because they forgot the requested blue cheese top. When we got the $300 check we laughed... saying “nope” to coming back here. Dinner at Mastro’s the night before blew this away and was $80 less with excellent service and superior environment. Would rather go to Ruth Chris any day of the week. You’ll find better places in Vegas without looking too hard.

Best dinner ever

By Shawna D |

This restaurant is fabulous. The staff could not be improved. The food was the best we've ever eaten anywhere. Several courses of unique and perfectly flavored, seasoned and cooked sides. Steaks cooked exactly as we had ordered. Obviously an expensive restaurant but worth the splurge.

It was a great dinner

By 220raunk |

Been awhile since we ate there but had a wonderful dinner. Service was super. They even steamed some clams for me, so good.

Stop in for dinner on the way to a concert. Great bartender, good service, very knowledgeable! Everything was excellent, steak was cook just right! No complaints, will return!

Top notch service food ok

By danoh2016 |

Wife got a snake river farms wagyu tenderloin. I got a wagyu NY Strip. Hers was great. Mine was full of gristle and half of it was tough. Not good value for $137. Carrots and pure potatoes were very good. Service and drink suggestions were top notch. Ambience was great. I’d go back, but I’d skip the wagyu.

Best steak ever!

By Emeralddivan |

We had planned to visit a different steakhouse in the Wynn but after reading a few mediocre reviews, we were having doubts. Having wandered by this restaurant during the day, we read some of the positive reviews and immediately booked. The location is excellent and the restaurant itself very well appointed. We were greeted at the door and immediately taken through to our table. The service was excellent throughout, from the sommelier who had evidently trained in France to our waiter who clearly explained the food menu and was attentive without being overbearing. In summary, this was the best dining experience we had during our break. My wife and I find it hard to get too excited about steak; how much can you do with it eh? However, this far exceeded our expectations and my wife declared that this was the best filet mignon she’d ever tasted. Pricey but not ridiculous - and Vegas just costs more nowadays.

Tom Colicchio Better Start Judging his Restaurant! Would NOT recommend!!

By Donna S |

Well it all started good with the drinks. NOT impressed by the steak they recommended. We also ordered “the 3 lb lobster” for $98.00. We got almost two Chickie lobster tails! I said where is the 3 lb lobster? They said it was 3 lbs of Lobster (that’s not what the menu states). Well I lived in Boston.....really Tom Colicchio? The server told me that “smaller lobsters are better because they are more tender”. I didn’t fall off a turnip truck. What a joke. I sent back the lobster. My bill was still over $350. Wasn’t impressed by the service either. Shrimp cocktail and Brussels sprouts were good.

Thanks, Craftsteak!

By Tour593021 |

Craftsteak was great! My husband and I were staying at MGM Grand and decided to give Craftsteak a try and we weren't disappointed. The service was great and the food was fantastic! My steak was so tender it almost fell apart and was cooked perfectly medium rare. We had the corn side dish that was in season and it was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Thanks, Craftsteak for a wonderful night.

Steakhouse

By Jason D |

The entire experience here is just fantastic. Service is impeccable. Food is fantastic from the appetizers to the sides, main dish and the dessert. Easily one of our top five steak houses we visit anywhere in the country. You can also find me on you tube. Videos's of restaurants I've visited. You can PM me for handle, trip advisor has flagged my last two posts for adding it. If they flag this, I won't be contributing to trip advisor any more.

The staff and the food are tops

By Dennis F |

The employees provided the best customer service we have had in Las Vegas. Our service team have worked at the same place for 26 years. They knew everything about the cuts of meat and operated smoothly.

You will not regret going!!

By Traci907 |

My husband and I went to Craftsteak last night and had an all around wonderful experience. We were a bit early for our reservation so sat at the bar and had a cocktail. The bartenders are knowledgable, very nice and make a great drink. After a short wait we were taken to our table and from the wonderful food to the staff we had a wonderful experience. My husband is not a huge steak eater, but really enjoyed the filet, said it was one of the best he has ever had. I had the ribeye and agree with my husband, one of the best I have ever had. A really enjoyable night.

Worth the visit

By Tracy Jones |

Best meal in Vegas. My husband and I were in town for a work convention. We had dinner here on our first night. The meal was absolutely fantastic. There was a man seated next to us that complained about everything and we watched the wait staff and manager go above and beyond trying to please the man. Our meals were perfect!

Unimpressive

By EarlGreyT |

This is Tom Colicchio’s steakhouse restaurant. The problem with these famous chef-branded restaurants is that the famous chef is not doing the cooking. The name is not enough to justify mediocre food and sky high prices. I find that the quality of bread a restaurant serves is a good predictor of the sensibility of the chef and overall quality of the meal you will have. When our server brought a bunch of white bread Parker House rolls and butter to the table I knew we were in trouble. Old school and tasteless. The steaks were average and a bit greasy and two of our party had undercooked meat they had to send back. The chimichurri sauce was bland and not fresh tasting. Service was ok, but waiter could have been more attentive. So all in all it was a pretty disappointing experience for our tastebuds as well as our wallets.

Beware the “Chef’s Menu” deal…it’s likely NOT

By KJinMN |

Was the food delicious? Yes (the warm frisee salad was divine). Was the service great? Yes. But...beware of the "Chef's Menu" that they try to sell - it's a starter, main, side and dessert for $120. However, very few combinations of those 4 items actually adds up to more than $120. I wasn't paying attention when my husband ordered (we were with a group) and his lobster bisque ($18), 8oz filet ($60), asparagus ($15) and monkey bread ($15) adds up to $108, yet our waiter told him the Chef's Menu was a better deal, when CLEARLY it was not.

Excellent steak

By KDJERO |

An excellent meal and excellent steak. The service was great too. Not cheap but that shouldn’t be a shock if you choose this place.

Not quite the usual Craft standard

By jay |

My bar for this meal was set high Having eaten at Craft in NYC a couple of times and Craft LA often since I lived in that neighborhood. The room is great and reflects Craft. The service and food was let us say “less sophisticated” than my other Craft experiences. Our server had to check with someone else for our questions about cocktails and the menu overall saying he’d been off for w while…ok. Ceasar salad -meh; $75 ribeye good but not a $75 steak; rolls were good; cocktails and wine very good. Craft has always excelled at having excellent veggies and sides. The cauliflower, Maui onions, and whipped potatoes were all good but not superior to any other decent restaurant. The monkey bread dessert was very good. I’ve always savored and typically praised a meal at Craft. This was a tasty, yet certainly not outstanding meal. I’m pretty sure I can do better somewhere in Las Vegas at $300 for two.

Ask for Randall and Mario to be your servers!

By David L |

Very nice , romantic place to have a great meal. We had Randall and Mario as our servers. They were extremely attentive and pleasant to have as our servers. All of the food is amazing! Even the sides were amazing!

Amazing

By Donna H |

What a great dining experience. My husband and I chose this restaurant based on their menu options and we were more than happy with our choice. Everything about this restaurant is exceptional. The atmosphere is upscale, and the service is extraordinary. Before the dinner we enjoyed the most delicious rolls I have ever eaten. They were served with butter fresh out of the oven in a small cast iron pan. Although the menu was quite extensive, we were there for the steaks. I ordered the the 8 oz. Filet Mignon while my husband ordered the 18 oz. Ribeye. Both stakes were cooked perfectly and presented well. If we ever return to Las Vegas we will certainly return to Craftsteak.

Excellent experience

By Coastal61654282073 |

Our son wanted to experience a real steakhouse while in Vegas. We were able to get a last minute reservation. We have had eaten at various steakhouses in LV and this had the most impressive service of them all. Everyone from the manager to the wait staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. We decided that all 4 of us would have the Chef’s menu. 4 different starters, 4 different steaks, 4 different veg. 4 different desserts. Every single item of each course was amazing. Our son with a “picky” palate actually enjoyed the tartare. Also had the warm frisée (nice, a bit tangy), shrimp cocktail (shrimp was excellent) and heirloom tomatoes (also excellent). The tartare was by far the best. As for steaks - filet, rib eye, NY and short rib. We each had a favorite but were still able to try all the others. Even the veg were amazing. Desserts were fantastic. They even gave my son a celebratory mousse cake because of graduation. Yes, our meal for 4 people was close to $700 however, every moment and morsel made it worthwhile and enjoyable.

Hey, it’s Tom C, how can you go wrong

By Chris D |

After experiencing most steakhouses on the strip, Craftsteak has me return against and again. We don’t make the trip without a visit to at least one of Tom’s steakhouses. Please consider the chef’s selection (whatever the name) and let them serve their very best, you will be amazed at what you would have never ordered.

Jonah needs to be retrained

By SavvyTravelers4851 |

I went to Craftsteak at the MGM. My steak came out over cooked. The server agreed. So he sent it back. Jonah was some sort of manager, and he brought the steak back out to me after he cut the steak up himself. He proceeded to belittle me in front of guests that he thought it was cooked ok. He then left the steak that he cut up, for me to finish eating. I was so mortified, that I left the MGM properties that evening and will not be returning. As a Platinum member at MGM. That is a bug statement.

Disappointed

By April L |

The food here is severely under seasoned!!!! The filet was tender and well cooked but not seasoned at all. My potato purée tasted like elmers glue. There was also a fairly large piece of rope in my steak, so that was unpleasant. The waiter offered half off my steak for the mouth full of rope I was given. Just not a great experience.

Poor service, overpriced - very disappointing

By San Fran Traveler |

Service was terrible - after long wait - steaks were brought 5 minutes before any sides - and one steak was missing so one member of our party watched us eat! Definitely do not get the cold seafood platter for the table - was $79 and consisted of very small portions..

We decided to try the chef’s

By Tim O |

We decided to try the chef’s 3 course meal and were pleasantly surprised at every turn. The service was impeccable and everything was prepared perfectly. The beef spoke for itself but the lobster bisque and monkey bread were mind blowing. I am a chef. My family and I eat out often and this could possibly be the best any of us can remember. Wow!

Great meal!

By Katherine S. |

Big fan of TC and was excited to dine here. Great meal. Did the Chef's menu at the recommendation of our server and worth it! Appreciated that he suggested three versus four meals to split for four of us. Three different cuts of meat, three salads, three desserts--all delicious. Expensive but enjoyed every bite.
