The cutest little café, with delicious breakfast and small lunch dishes and the sweetest staff serving you. My family's breakfast place when staying as tourist in SF for some days. A bit pricey, but a breakfast smoothie will have you going well until lunch time.

Well, after reading several reviews I was expecting a lot of good things from this place but after two tries I did not see anything transendant. First time, I tried an english breakfast and the second time some viennoiseries with a latte. For the reception, I preferred the second time. For the taste, it was good both times but not exceptionnel (as describe from previous comments) from my perspective.

Great Breakfast of an English muffin and coffee. Good service and very tasty food. Contactless payments accepted which is a bonus. Recommended.

We had a disappointing first day of food in SF (blame the jetlag for poor choices) then went for a v early morning walk on day 2 and found this place by chance. Well off the main tourist drag but worth the effort. The egg and avocado bagel with rosemary aioli was one of the best holiday breakfasts I've ever eaten and the Russian guy behind the counter was super-friendly. We went back 2 days later, passing other cafes on the way, and it was just as good.

Super friendly quick and really really good. Had a few nice places to sit outside and people watch. Inside is clean and cozy.

Popped in for breakfast, a very nice restaurant with very helpful staff. Had the French toast,OMG, never had it like that before but would highly recommend. My wife had the avocado which was also out of this world. Would highly recommend and would return again

We were a bit concerned about Nob Hill Hotel lack of breakfast, but once that we discover this nice and small coffee shop, we were really relieved and satisfied. All product were very tasty and well prepared. Every single morning we were there and every single morning we start the day with an excellent breakfast.

This place is phenomenal! It’s a small spot on the corner with limited seating, but my goodness is it good. The coffee (I had a latte, husband had a black coffee) is amazing and the food is even better. If you’re looking for a small/simple breakfast, look no further. Just go. The breakfast sandwiches are a good size with quality ingredients and are made fresh to order. We had a “English breakfast” sandwich and a “the works bagel”. Both were tasty and filling. Staff are working hard and get it right!

Amazing coffee spot in the city. Great service, friendly staff and tasty food. The outdoor seating area was lovely in the sun, and the croissants were amazing! Pay this place a visit for sure!

I stopped in at this small cafe for a quick breakfast. I ordered the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich which also came with coffee. There was plenty of avocado and the Dijon sauce gave the sandwich a different twist that I really liked. This is a sandwich that you have to eat with a knife and fork. Overall, it was a great deal for a made to order breakfast and the staff members were friendly and personable.

The food looked great and definitely had potential, but the execution really missed the mark. My breakfast sandwich came with some kind of mayonnaise spread all over it, which completely overpowered everything and made it pretty unpleasant. The salad was pre-dressed instead of having the dressing on the side, and they used way too much of it. Those were the only two items I ordered, but both were disappointing enough to throw off my morning and lunch. When I shared this honest feedback, the owner replied publicly to say that “99% of customers love our food the way it is” and that it would be “counterproductive to follow [my] advise and do a few tweaks.” That kind of dismissive attitude says a lot. A great restaurant welcomes feedback instead of arguing with customers. The food presentation was solid, but between the overly heavy sauces and the defensive customer service, this experience fell short. Hopefully they take this as constructive criticism — because with a little humility and balance, Crostini & Java could actually be fantastic.

Knowing the cafes around the Nob Hotel as they do not offer breakfast. They could partner with the hotel and thus channel guests for a good morning experience in Sanfran. I ordered the pan au chocolat with black coffee. Normal.

The best breakfast on the entire America trip! Great selection, all delicious and fresh, really more than just a sandwich! 😋 The coffee is also great and there is a selection of dairy alternatives. We stayed five days in San Francisco and four days here 😍 "The Ultimate Breaksast" and "French Breakfast" were My Saves. The staff is super nice and you feel really comfortable!

Went along for a quick breakfast - we weren’t disappointed. Small coffee shop, busy, friendly staff. Good coffee, great breakfast croissants and bagels. The place was buzzing but we got served quick - beware not many seats but they turn over pretty quickly. Would visit again.

Came here with my kids for a quick coffee stop and it was one of the best coffee’s I have had in San Francisco.

We've been eating there every day for a week. We got bagels, sandwiches, smoothies and coffee and everything has been of high quality and the most cosy place. However, we could wish there were made more chocolate crossainters, as they were sold out early

We discovered Crostini & Java by accident, looking for a good cafe. The place is very pleasant, with very friendly staff and owner. The coffee was awesome and our kids loved the pastries. We loved this place.

We stayed at a hotel on Sutter St which did not serve breakfast and arrived here which is very close. It's fantastic, coffee, pasta and bagel. And nothing expensive being San Francisco. Plus the service is fantastic

Located outside the business downtown, it is a small cafe with a couple of tables outside and some more inside. It wasn't busy when we arrived, whole others cafes had a waiting line outside. Breakfast is delicious! We had the English and the tuna breakfast, both excellent prepared and amazing in taste. Highly recommended!

So glad I discovered this spot. I now start my morning here most days. The coffee is European, the breakfast sandwiches are the best in SF (make sure you try the maple dijon!), and Kirill and his colleagues are super friendly.

Dont think just come and eat-drink. This is artistry. The Ultimate breakfast was my choice with a simple caffe latte plus some caramel in it. Ill always remember it!

I just got back from picking up a quick breakfast. Had the special croissant which was amazing. Everything fresh with very tasty mustard. The Mocha was excellent, and complemented the great cheese danish for dessert. Wish I would have brought more, as I am now sad to have finished it all. I can give you a money back guarantee if you do not like the place with it‘s nice atmosphere and very friendly service :)
