Went there after seeing it on Sunday morning news. Atmosphere and service great. The menu was different

We had the charcuterie and had a wonderful time with our friends trying all sorts of delicious meats, cheeses and accoutrements. The tenderloin was incredible as was the beet and avocado salad. We also found the beer and wine selections to be quite satisfying. It was a memorable experience and we look forward to our next evening at Cured.

Excellent in every way. Happy hour menu is a treat. Wonderfully wines by the glass. Classy place with outstanding service.

Don't bring a Vegan or Vegetarian here! A modern ambiance that has a rustic yet clean design. With that said, they still have vegetables and a variety of food pairings that will surprise your taste buds. The happy hour menu is AMAZING with half off mixology, top-shelf drinks. I love me a well-balanced drink and like it even better at a low price. The burger on the happy menu is delicious, but small so get a double. They give you an astronomical amount of french fries with your order. I do recommend playing with some of the apps and sharing as many as possible. There meat tartare is one of the best I have had. They change the menu from the beef to bison, so keep that in mind. The lamb is excellent as well as the chop.

This was a delicious experience while looking for a new favorite in San Antonio. Curious location and building, but the staff experience was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious.

I am writing as a neighbor to the Cured and a person that lives in the apartment next door. The Cured management has NO REGARD for its neighbors. I have asked SEVERAL times to please turn down the music, yet they still play it loud into the courtyard and I am forced to listen to it day after day after day. I can hear it with my windows and doors shut. The management is nonresponsive!

Darling place with great atmosphere but so so cuisine.wedge salad was good, but brat sandwich was basically a hot dog. For ten bucks. Charcuterie board is overpriced. & sparse. (And no cheese! What’s up with that!) Nice to drink Pearl beer, a San Antonio tradition, but wish it had been on tap.

Fabulous charcuterie and small plate spot in Pearl district of San Antonio. Perfect for sharing with large crowd. Great wine choices and a just a fun place. Excellent service.

We went late but had no idea.what to expect. The bartender was terrific pointing us to the different charcuterie style menu. Had the wagu beef and smoked pork. Both very good. Small portions so my meat eater husband wasn't sure if it was enough food for him. But we left very satisfied.

Went to the Pearl area with an old college friend. We found a corner in the Hotel Emma’s bar…fantastic! We then walked around and on the spur of the moment we stopped into Cured. Interesting that it was only about 2/3rds full on a Friday evening but we have it a try. The service was excellent but the food was expensive and only average at best. Very disappointing to say the least. Too many other good restaurants there for me to go back to Cured.

If you want a hip spot with a fun, youthful yet chic vibe - eat here. If you’re looking for delicious grub, go elsewhere.

We visited this legend on our short trip from Honolulu, which is situated in a very beautiful modeenized and very dog friendly section of the riverfront known as Pearl. Parking was a challenge, so pack your patience, even with a public lot, it was full. We had heard so many good things about Cured and the reviews were off the chart. Sadly, our experience was not the status quo. Whether the restaurant was experiencing a staff shortage, or whether they were in the process of training new employees, we don't know. Our visit included waiting 90 minutes for our entrees and a less tthan attentive server. In fact, we saw the manager more than we did the server. When asked specifically about the cut of chicken used in the chicken and donuts (which was flavorful), we were informed it was a breast. When it arrived it was a single wing and a drum. It was clear that the server knew very little about her own menu. Not all was bad, they are known for their charcuterie, which was simply beautiful. The cured meats were flavorful, but portions were skimpy considering the price paid. But the jams and mustards were perfection! The manager apologized profusely for the underwhelming service and comped the chicken and waffles due to the miscommunication since i do not eat either one of those pieces of meat. I hope others visit this beautiful historic building and when they enjoy their meals at Cured, the service is a vast improvement to my experience.

Make your visit simple. Have the nine serving charcuterie sampler. If you like cured food, you will know why this restaurant exists. Note that the cheese selections were also wonderful. Also excellent cocktails and some interesting appetizers. Didn’t have room for an entree. Sometimes a place just works for you. Cured worked for both myself and my partner. She actually eats very little meat altogether and cured meat has never been her preference. Maybe the fact that she loved the assortment and wanted to return is a better indication of the food than my raves since I love charcuterie. Our server was wonderful, attentive, and fun. Cocktails were very well made. We thought the prices were very fair. This is all handmade product they are serving, and they know what they are doing. People eating here are clearly having fun and enjoying it. Just like us, we saw people looking at plates being served to other guests and asking waitstaff what they had just served. To me that always indicates that much of the menu is interesting and well presented. The building and furnishings are just right. If you are seated in the front, go to the rear room to see the wall mounted optical illusion that is flat but seems to project into the room. It is not a quiet place, but neither is it loud. It is located in the Pearl area which is worth a review in its own right, and Cured fits the Pearl perfectly. If I lived in San Antonio, which has many good restaurants, i’d be a regular.

The restaurant is set in a beautiful building in the Pearl District, tucked behind a building next door to Hotel Emma, the anchor of the neighborhood. The building is gorgeous, outside and inside. From the outside, the building reveals its charms of architecture. As you walk in, the centerpiece of the interior is highly visible: hanging cured meats. Visited for a drink so I can’t comment on the food. Rated at 4 only because our waiter forgot to bring our drinks after we ordered. Fortunately, a house manager noticed our waiting time and fetched the drinks for us.

Such a beautiful building and the food is good too! I had the breakfast plate, hubby had chef’s breakfast and daughter had a beet salad. Nothing negative to say about any of it. Bloody Mary with moonshine - delish! Great staff.

On v vacation to San Antonio.. Cured was highly recommenced. Very noisy, very expensive for what was offered.. Wine prices prohibitive service was EXCELLENT! Food avcerage..

We had a reservation (highly recommend you get a reservation) for the table top seating so we could watch the food being prepared. We had a great waitress who helped us navigate the charcuterie menu...along with recommending a great bottle of wine. We also shared a small plate and had a wonderful evening...will return when we go back to San Antonio.

Lots of hype. Very cool location & ambiance but we left hungry. It was neat to try diff dishes but they were just a bit too exotic for us.

Food was great! So much care and planning went into the ingredients and menu choices. I thought portions would be too small but they ended up being perfect. Beef short ribs were excellent. Definitely recommend!

What a nice re-use of the old Pearl Brewery. The restaurant is so welcoming and eye-opening. The selection of meats can be overwhelming, WHAT Fish Bacon!!!!! The menu is small but overwhelming. What to get... Decided on the beet citrus salad and breakfast for dinner. Beets, beet cracklings?, citrus, greens and local yogurt, it was wonderful The Breakfast, blood sausage had a mild but deep flavor, duck egg, had great flavors. The chicken livers ordered by my Co worker had a rich liver flavor. No room for dessert, but got the bread pudding. with ice cream oh my Thank you Houston for your service, A must try

We drove from Houston to San Antonio just to dine here. Definitely worth it. At first you may think the servings are not that generous, but when you taste the richness of the food you will be surprised how satiated you feel. The flavors were unique and wonderful. A memorable experience. Highly recommend. The chef has 3 James Beard awards for this restaurant. Happy hour drinks are fabulous.

Cured, as in a cure for your lunchtime blues, is a buzzy, rustic/chic restaurant serving charcutrerie-focused North American cuisine and craft cocktails in a renovated 1904 historic building that originally was constructed as Pearl Brewery's administration building. Located at 306 Pearl Parkway in San Antonio, Texas, in the historic Pearl Brewery, in the Tobin Hill neighborhood, northwest of the intersection of I-35 and I-37, Cured offers traditional items with a zesty New Orleans twist. Open from noon to 9 on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and noon to 10 on Friday and Saturday, it features a lunch menu that puts a smile on your face. My wife and I started with a wedge salad with lardons, sliced red onion, cherry tomatoes and bleu cheese dressing and a Cured cheese plate with cheddar and salami. For a main course, my wife chose a shrimp po'boy sandwich with remoulade and fried green tomatoes. I opted for a single Blue Ribbon burger with smoked bacon, a Wagyu beef blend, Blue Ribbon American cheese, sauteed onion jam and fries. Seconds, please? For dessert, we shared a large portion of bread pudding with brown butter caramel and candied pecans and a hazelnut tart with home-made gelato.

I loved this place. The concept is genius. I hope to see it expand. You pick your choice and size from their extensive charcuterie and cheese selection. There is also a full service menu but the charcuterie is what they are known for. Great bar great service and you can’t beat pearl location.

I was really disappointed tonight. I love Cured’s food and it was good. However the staff seemed unable to keep up. My first drink order took easily 15 minutes. She forgot to even place the second drink order altogether and instead of telling me she forgot, she tried to cover her error by saying the drink I’d ordered might have too bitter a flavor for my palate. I never got the second beverage and just canceled. Dessert took forever as well. Evidently the crisp slid off the plate and they had to make it twice. There wasn’t any effort extended to make it right in any way. I will be less likely to recommend Cured in the future. Service like that will kill a business.

Our last night in San Antonio and we decide to go to Cured largely because of Eater 38. We started with a selection of charcuterie which our waiter was very helpful in describing. Drinks arrived and the food came shortly after. We had chosen four meets and two cheeses which were accompanied by two different mustards and two jellies. All of it was very good with the mustards and jellies enhancing the flavor of the meets and cheeses. As we were not that hungry after the start, we ordered one main dish, muscled with Tasso ham. And that was where the trouble began. The waiter kept stopping by and asking if we were good. No, we didn’t want another drink. After waiting for more than 35 minutes, I finally asked him if there was a problem. No, he said and I asked where our food was. He indicated he had put the order in. Several minutes later it arrived. I mentioned it had been over 40 minutes and suggested he mention to the manager that we were not pleased. He made no effort to apologize or even make an excuse. The manager never stopped by. I expect better from a fine restaurant.

Tough call on how to review this place. We is just plain folks with little sophistication so this may be slanted low for invalid reasons. The place was fun and better than most box places. The menu on line showed fish and given one of our party doesn’t eat meat this seemed a good place to recognized that. So the service was very good. Lots of attention and clarification for our questions. The menu was a bit limited and every single thing was an extra. Unfortunately our none meat eater found no fish or even chicken to pick from. Three of us ordered beef. It was very very good. The included sides were creative and again very good. BUT!!!!!!! When were waiting for our meals we were offered a basket of bread with butter. When one of our party asked for some additional salad dressing it was promptly provide. then we got the bill and found extra salad dressing was an up-charge as well as the offered bread. GET REAL!!!!!! The steak was 65 plus ea. We were thankful we didn’t need a clean napkin as it would of cost an extra ten!!! So for us the food was good but we aren’t used to being charged for every thing as an extra.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here. We may a last minute change to dine here after very positive comments from people we met at our hotel. Overall, we enjoyed the experience; however, we weren't blown away by our meal choices. This is not to say that we were disappointed. The food was really good, but when we dine here in the future we will choose other entrees. We shared the neck of lamb and it was ok. In the future, we'll try the pork chop or goat loin.

First time visiting the Pearl Brewery and decided to have lunch at Cured. The service was great and had a nice atmosphere. We ordered local beer and shared some charcuterie. It was a nice light lunch.

I really couldn’t get over how much I loved the charcuterie plate from Cured. I’ll be back for sure!!!

This is an interesting building, and very nice eating space. We were there for brunch on a Saturday, and had various dishes and bloody mary's. I had the pork cheek poutine with cheese curds and cauliflower...it was phenomenal! I'd go back just for that.

That was our polite comment in the young waiters review book! It’s not his fault he’s making a living in a nice atmospheric restaurant with atrocious prices for tiny little servings! We, the 3 of us kid you not! $151.00 for the thinnest slices of Serrano ham, No sides! A tiny portion of creamy veggies with a chunk Of cornbread. The ONLY portion that was sizable was the mussels pot, at least that came along with Fries! And better yet when a manager type came along; he asked us how the Flavors were. I guess that’s his way of excusing the portion sizes! Sorry but we were CURED of this facade of an eatery!

My girlfriend and I stopped in here for dinner while visiting San Antonio. It had gotten good reviews so we decided to try it. We started with the charcuterie with two meats and a cheese because how could you not in a place all about curing meats! The whole set up of the charcuterie was awesome and the two types of homemade pickles along with the different types of whole grain mustards complemented everything wonderfully. For mains my girlfriend had the vegetarian specialty which was great. I had BBQ shrimp which were cooked well but incredibly salty. It was difficult to eat the whole meal because of it. Other than that service was good and the rest of the meal was wonderful.

I was visiting TX with friends for the first time and our first stop was The Pearl. We walked around looking for a place that offered something gluten free to drink. The Cured served me a beer called Free and Clear. It was awesome. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it the rest of my time in Texas. Anyway, our server informed me that I could also have the quail legs just as my friends were having as he would request they be made gluten free! They were so good! My friends had the CHARCUTERIE and loved it.

What the heck happened to this restaurant's creativity and numerous offerings? The menu was severely shortened and not appealing. As carnivores, we ordered what we thought might have the most meat..the pulled pork poutine plate and the ham & pork sandwich. So little of any meat on the menu!! The predominate food on each plate were sad tasteless french fries. The pork did not taste good even after they bragged that they just butchered a fresh hog!! Much like pitiful diner food!

Cured has an amazing selection of meats. The dishes are prepared expertly. Definitely recommend the charcuterie board and the pork chop- it was gigantic!

Innovative, upscale dining at the Pearl - a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and here it's worth it! Very helpful, friendly staff to explain their dishes offered. A great selection of wines & beer and unique cocktails. Try it!

This was our Valentine’s day dinner. We loved the food! The dishes are unique and you are able to sample different types of cured meats. Everything was delicious. The presentation was very nice and the staff was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere that can be either casual or fine dining. We will definitely visit again. Parking is across the street and you will need to use GPS to find the place walking. The pearl area is really interesting and a fun place to visit with great food.

over priced, only two types of chees, who wants to pas $6 for a small glass of mostly ice and fruit juice? the Charcuterie did not look, sound appealing even when asked to describe it from the wait staff. the only thing that was half way ok was the fries, until you got to the bottom half then you got bits and pieces. save your money take your picture in front and make up a story if you have to tell your foodie friends about the "James Beard" Restaurant you ate at.

Been a few years since we were here, but returned to wallow in their Chicken Fried Chicken Livers, served with a lemon aioli and Pepper jelly. Served along side an order of Masa Encrusted Oysters with eggplant purée and homemade salsa. Both excellent, in fact, doubled down on the livers. Complimented with Manhattans. They have so much to offer, we’ll be back for something else soon.

The Pearl district is an up and coming neighborhood. we started with the charcuterie plate and the waitress did not steer us wrong. That is not cheap, but packed with flavor. Our favorite was the smoked duck breast, and the salumi. The whipped pork butter was also devastatingly good. We also shared the pork cheek poutine. Excellent! I coupled mine with a good local San Antonio Amber ale. My wife had some coffee which she thought was the best cup she has had in San Antonio.

We loved it so much we came back twice. Everything we tried blew us away. This is the only place that I would tell someone not to miss if you are in SA. Try to get there for happy hour too. Drinks are half off and you can get quail wings and hard boiled eggs at the bar.

Amazing food in a modern space. Staff were knowledgable and helpful explaining dishes and pairing drinks.

First, Chef Aaron Sanchez was walking out while we were walking in which was cool. Apparently he had a book event there. Service was great, no issues there. Large Plates had about 5 or 6 options, not much to choose from and small plates are indeed small. Charcuterie options with the cured meats were good, but portions of the meats are very small and pricey (3 samples for $25, 6 for $35, etc) and some have up-charges as well. The Charcuterie tray was presented nice, with bread, jams and mustards. Again, it is expensive and if that's all you get, it is not a meal, you will leave hungry. I had the Beet Salad ($12) it was good but tiny. Mussels were excellent, I'd recommend them for sure. The steak was good, but overcooked. Neat atmosphere with a large area of hanging cured meats. Drinks were $11 each, but well made. Overall very good.

Portion size for the price not so much. Gave a 3 because the professionalism and atmosphere was perfect. But it is not in my oh my i have to go there.

I have dined at Cured for at least the last 4 years and last week was my last. The folks working at Cured are certainly nice. We ordered the cheese and the grand charcuterie with ham and WOW what a failure. It was nothing but bread and jelly.....The meat was such poor quality they should be embarrassed to serve it. The cheese was marginal at best. Our cost was $110 for the two of us. I guess if you wanted to shove the excessive bread and jelly down your throat, but that was not my intention. Oh well my $147 check will be their last. Bryan

Great happy hour and drinks and also has a fantastic brunch and happy hour menu. Great appetizers and charcuterie and the burger on the lunch menu is AMAZING! Great staff and management team.

Be ready for a tasting party. Every item on the menu is unique and perfectly prepared. Our waiter Marc and staff Adam were more than helpful I. Guiding us through to the right choices. Be adventurous. Try it all. Yes we had charcuterie for six. All good Came during happy hour before six so drinks were half priced Delicious whiskey cocktails Had the 16oz pork chop which we split. Outstanding. Oh yeah during happy hour order the roasted quail legs. Yum Make reservations

We went restaurant hopping and tried their boudin empanadas. They were so delicious. I am used to spicy boudin. The empanadas were pretty mild but still very tasty. And the drinks were perfect. Very interesting decor. I want to go back and try their charcuterie boards.

I booked a table a Cured because of the very good reviews and had visiting family from out of state and wanted to show off the The Pearl district. Our sever was fantastic. He led us through the menu making excellent suggestions for charcuterie plate. The wagyu beef was the star of the plate. Main courses were the flat iron steak, braised lamb neck, and t-bone veal. I'm a vegetarian and ordered the vegetarian plate of the day. This time was a kimchi pancake. The veal with black bean risotto was the stand-out and highly recommended. The flat iron steak was very good. The lamb was somewhat of a miss. I didn't expect much as a vegetarian, who would at a meat restaurant? The kimchi was flavorful with a nice amount of heat, but had a weird oily texture and would not get again. Overall a very nice experience with good food and great service. Would recommend without reservation.

My wife and I are fans the Best Ever Food Review Show on YouTube; we've spent the last several years watching Sonny Side eat delectable comestibles all over the world. Because of him, we new refer to Vietnam as "Viet-Nom-Nom-Nom." So we were thrilled when he came to Texas to review food close to our home. Of all the restaurants he visited, we knew that Cured was the one we had to go to for our next special occasion. The main focus of the restaurant is locally-sourced, wild-raised meat that cures right there in the restaurant: 30-, 45-, and 60-day aged meats. Be prepared to eat slowly and savor every bite. We got the deluxe charcuterie board so as to really enjoy the variety offered. Part of the fun was combining flavors, and the board came with three flavors of preserves as well as a variety of amazing meats. My personal favorite was the lemon preserves; unlike most lemon-based dishes, these preserves weren't loaded with sugar but instead really respected the lemon's sourness and bitterness. For her birthday dessert, my wife ordered the bread pudding. Now, fancy restaurants are notorious for skimping on portions, but this Texas-sized serving provided dessert for both of us two nights in a row. But don't think that the quantity was compensating for lack of quality: the flavor was complex and delicate while utterly satisfying.

Located in the Pearl Brewery area, in a gentrifying neighborhood, this pleasant restaurant/bar is a new concept. The main attraction is the long list of locally produced charcuterie, available as small plates or in larger quantities. The full bar offers a good selection of cocktails, wines, beers and other beverages. the kitchen also offers a number of more traditional dishes for lunch, happy hour or dinner. There is table service and the place is hopping most of the time. The quality of the products is quite good, so this is a good foodie destination.

Sibling reunion in San Antonio to celebrate 152 years of marriage (2 50's, 1 52.) Dinner at Cured in The Pearl was a treat. I'm not a foodie, but the other five are! We were not disappointed at Cured. Let the wait staff help you pick your starter charcuterie. Brewer's crackers are the perfect accompaniment. We moved on to "Red Wattle" pork chops. Did you know red wattle hogs are raised for flavor? Excellent flavor! Also liked the grilled flat iron steak and scallops. The beet, avocado and citrus salad was gorgeous. Our hunger was Cured! (Couldn't resist. Not sorry.) Excellent evening.

Went with family for lunch. Loved the food! Very creative choices. Especially loved the duck prosciutto. Great place to eat at the Pearl. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the ambience and the cocktails we ordered - definitely creative and unique. The meat and cheese board was sort of a miss, the apple jalapeno pork butter was our least favorite, the whole jar was full as no one ate past their first bite. Also pricey for having to guess if you'll like the items or not. We want to go back for dessert though, they sound delicious.

We are already looking forward to returning back! We started with the charcuterie board choosing 6 items from the list. Every thing on the board exceeded our expectations. Presentation along with the sides of jams and mustard made every bite leaving you to want more. We were there on a Friday during lunch and I chose the Fry-Day chicken. Chicken was breaded to perfection and the hominy and gravy was a delectable surprise. Hubby had the Pig Cheeks Poutine...don’t let the size of the dish disappoint you as it is more filling than what it looks. Yum yum! Great food, awesome choices and don’t forget, plenty of local beers to accompany your dish. Service and atmosphere outstanding!

I was looking forward to dining at CURED in the Pearl District and went away disappointed. I was missing San Antonio; we haven't visited in a couple of years and it was long overdue. We put together a list of places we wanted to visit or revisit and, on a recommendation, we added CURED to the list. The recommendation was really for the Twigg bookstore and was encouraged to check out CURED, an interesting looking restaurant next door. Set in a trendy area of north downtown San Antonio, the historic building was part of the old Pearl Brewery. The interior was well appointed and had a great ambiance. We chose to sit at the bar as we were really there for the charcuterie. It all started off well enough, we weren't in a hurry, they weren't really that busy, so we had time to enjoy. The bar Staff served us wine, checked in on us often enough and we made our selections. Our plate arrived and here is where it all derailed. When we were served the server was halfway through explaining the items on our plate when there was a little traffic behind us, a couple saying hi to friends and a waiter wanting to pass. Our server brushed us off by saying 'and other things... enjoy'. We are currently residing in Spain, I really wanted to know more about the curing process in TX and if the cured ('bellota'(acorn) I'm guessing) ham was the product of similar processes to that of the world renowned Iberico Jamon. All I heard about the meat hanging in the glass display case is that 'they' eat nuts, that's why its good... Higher end establishments are held to higher standards and this was dinner service in a high-end space with premium pricing. Check that, I've had far better service at dinners. I typically expect to be a client of all of the staff at better eateries but at CURED, the wait staff is only responsible for their limited sphere of tables. At the bar we started near the charcuterie area, constantly bumped and competing for space with the wait staff. OK, I get it, now that the space next to us has opened up I'll change seats. The waiter stepped back and impatiently waited for me to move my plate down a couple of chairs, where he then claimed the space and I had to wait for him to finish what he was doing before I could get my wine glass and other items. We also ended up having to self-serve bread from the wait station. We had become invisible, out of bread, empty glasses, and all of this seated at the bar close to the server area. Furthermore, we were now the only patrons at the bar! UGH! Obviously agitated we waited with our coats in hand, credit card on the bar for far too long. I really wanted to end our SA visit on I high note but was robbed of that. At a fine eatery, the staff makes up 50% of the experience and can easily ruin an otherwise good effort. This was the case at CURED. I feel gypped, my expectations were high and ended up disappointed by a very mediocre visit. Gypped by overpaying for dinner service (poor dinner service at that). Gypped by armature staff in a professional role.

Had dinner with a bunch of friends. It was excellent. The charcuterie board was amazing. It can be a bit pricey but ohhh so good.

Fantastic charcuterie plate. All bits were tasty and complemented each other. Never enough flat bread but waiter kept us topped up. Nice atmosphere. General Manager Bob was very helpful with recommendations for other restaurants and bars. Cured is must visit place in the Pearl District.

We visit Cured everytime we go to San Antonio. Great staff, great selection of wines, beers and cocktails. And their cheese and meat boards! So delicious. Highly recommend.

This is the place to go in San Antonio when you want to eat a good piece of meat, whatever beef or pork. The quality standard is very high, taste is amazing and they serve some excellent wines to support your dish. When you are vegetarian, no problem, they serve some fantastic vegetarian dishes. For sure a place to go back.

Great lunch. Delicious. We went for the cured meats platter which was well sized. Nice staff and a good drinks list. Gumbo was AMAZING. Slightly pricy, but we were happy to pay. A nice treat

Every part of our dining experience was great. Very attentive staff and delicious food. We arrived for happy hour and had drinks with fried quail legs. Next we had the beet, arugula and avocado salad. We shared the masa fried oysters (fantastic). My husband, a native Texan, had the fried chicken livers (“best I’ve ever had”) and I moved on to the Meyer lemon white chocolate cheesecake with gin and tonic sorbet. When we eat out, we like to order things we wouldn’t typically eat at home. Every dish was just right. Our server Mark made recommendations that were spot on. So glad we happened upon Cured. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stopped in here recently before an appointment. We arrived at 5:35 and found the bar full. We were seated at a bar height long table in front of the grill. That was fun interacting with the chefs. Sadly that was the highlight of the night. We ordered a glass of wine and an old fashioned to start. 10 minutes later the wine was delivered. Another 7 minutes later the old fashioned made it to the table. Our plan was to have the charcuterie with 6 selections but due to their lack of availability on our selections we only had three. Everything was good not great and the highlight was actually the mustard. We ordered a second round of drinks and the 2nd old fashioned was much better than the first, not nearly as sweet. Clearly bar standards don’t exist and either different bar tenders do different things or each drink from the same bar tender is different. I can’t say we will actively seek this place out, but I also can’t say we will not return.

You can’t go wrong at Cured any time you visit! But here’s a hint: go during happy hour, which is the only time you can get their fried quail wings with rosemary honey. These might be one of the Top 10 things I’ve ever had.

We ordered six different varieties but really loved the cured duck and a Lombardy sliced beef. I would ordered three of each with brwer’s crackers along with rough diamond ipa beer.

I completely get what they are going for with the cured meats but it was over $110 for 2 people (just food- no drinks in that). That being said, it was delicious.

We have eaten at Cured a number of times and have never been disappointed. The food is outstanding, the service is superb, and the decor is unique. It is a must when you visit the Pearl.

We were excited to try this place based on the reviews. The charcuterie was interesting but overall just ok. Nothing was spectacular. I had the gumbo and it was very good but there was way too much rice. The fried oysters were good. Service and atmosphere were good. I just do not understand the high rating this place is given.

Hands down my new FAVORITE place in San Antonio!! This place has a relaxed vibe with out of this world food and drinks. No. Joke. Andrew, our server was knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. We went for happy hour and it was worth dining early. I ordered off the happy menu and my husband ordered off the dinner menu. Can not wait to return. Oh yeah and the manager stopped by our table to check in and c how our dinner was going. Seriously a wonderful personal touch. Well done!!

The charcuterie boards are wonderful but remember the cheese is an extra charge. A great place for hosting business dinners. Only four stars because I would not recommend any seafood dishes. The blue crab is terribly disappointing and lack of any substance. You’ll spend a pretty penny here - just make sure to order the meat plates. Don’t forget dessert!

My brother mentioned he's always wanted to go here. And when I got there I saw why. Restaurant was gorgeous. And the food was on another level. Mark, our server, was so knowledgeable it made the experience that much better. I would visit San Antonio again just for this place. 10 stars out of 5.

This is a nice place to take a lunch break after walking around the Pearl. We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered. The dining area is bright, airy and tables are well spaced. There is a large display of cured meats as you enter- wow! We had a sampling of charcuterie- chicken live pate and smoked duck ham. Both were delicious. Lunch were crab (fresh, sweet lumps) ravigote and house made wurst (well spiced and meaty) with beans and salad. Portions were just right. Tried the house cocktail, Marfa Lights Out. Well balanced old fashioned made with mezcale. Service was excellent. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. She took time to explain menu items. An enjoyable and relaxing lunch.

Beautiful historical building. Interior is beautifully restored. The entry is very classic. No sound control inside so its a pretty noisy dining experience. We were 4 adults and one toddler (who was exceptionally good this evening !) Having flown from California with great expectations we were left somewhat disappointed. The portions were of the French type very small plates. The nine item Charcuterie board was a burst of flavorful and creative items in very small amounts. Exotic items which deserved to be savored in less of a mix of competing flavors. When presented in this method to enjoy, was just confused in the many outstanding tastes. After finishing the board we ordered from the main offerings to discover the size of the portions were very small (French size) and the general flavor in each were lost because there are just too many flavors to enjoy all mixed together. We anticipated the menu to be a pick your meat and accouterments type not constructed plates with just too many flavors to appreciate at once in one bite ! Wayu Beef was extremely small, yet not as good as other restaurants where we've dined. I was prepared to spend over $400. for the Charcuterie board and then full plate meals, our dining as described here was $208 plus tip (we honestly finished our evening dinner at another restaurant). Fantastic Wine & Beer offerings, Beautiful setting and outstanding service, for Hors d'Oeuvres. The Cheesecake was unidentifiable as described. Not like any we have seen. C&H

I really loved this place, decoration it’s nice but the menu it’s really original because it has all kind of delicatessen and it tastes really good. Our only inconvenient was the music, not very nice, loud and noisy.

We had early reservations and seated promptly. Service throughout was excellent, very attentive but not intrusive. We started with the 6 item charcuterie board. This was good, but I expected wow. We love charcuterie, so not up to par to others. Expected more savory. Favorite was the duck ham and mustards were good as well. The homemade "flat bread" crackers were good but would have also liked sliced baguette or the like for the chicken mousse. The red wattle pork chop was excellent, would order this again. Would return trying some of the small plates instead.

Traveling solo, so I sat at the Chef’s counter, which is basically bar seating that looks into the kitchen, and you get a little amuse bouche to go with your meal. Ordered a salad and the 3-selection board, which was plenty of food. The charcuterie is on point, and it’s worth the up charge for the foie gras. My server was great, friendly and knowledgeable about the wine list.

Confession: when you find a restaurant as great as this one, you end up planning your ENTIRE vacation JUST to eat here again, not a word of a lie. Came to SA about a year ago and couldn't get OVER how fantastic the food and the service was at Cured ( which we stumbled upon the first time) We really enjoyed SA the first time, but were planning on just going to New Orleans however couldn't resist a quick stop for a few days just to eat.... ya really.... We had the gumbo, the quail legs, the soft shelled crab slider and the masa fried oysters which were amazing. I've never used masa before but I will start now.... it added a touch of sweetness, which is weird to say, but it gave the dish perfect balance somehow. The service was attentive and professional, the decor and atmosphere was just as lovely as it was before, clean and inviting and it was nice to see management circulating the room and showing they care. I would be proud to work here if I lived here. This restaurant is also located in the really cool Pearl district, which is a really short car ride away from the main tourist area. You can drive, bike or take the riverwalk shuttle boat but that takes about an hour.....

I’ve been here twice. First for a girls brunch about a month ago and then for lunch today with husband. It’s a great place. Wonderful decor and absolutely great food. Do Saturday brunch or have The Charcuterie plate for lunch or Happy Hour. We did the Ched’s Pick and it did not disappoint. Service is wonderful too! Don’t miss the Bloody Marys. Yum!

I first saw this restaurant online while researching our anniversary trip. My husband loves charcuterie & I knew this would be perfect. We had an early 6 pm reservation and received a nice text reminder just prior. We went an hour early to explore the Pearl district. During the daytime, I think an hour is plenty for shopping. When you enter The restaurant, the first thing you see is meat curing in a large glass case. It is impressive. We were seated immediately, the place was nearly full, even at 6. We had an excellent waiter & were brought water from a unique tub. We weren’t sure about the portions so we decided on the six piece charcuterie and two small plates. Our charcuterie choices were apple jalapeño pork rillettes, smoked duck ham, pepperoni, longaniza, 6 month cured pork belly & indigo ridge cheese. This was just awesome. My favorite was the longaniza & pork rillettes. The sauces were exceptional & we ate every crumb! We enjoyed paring each meat with the small elements to make interesting combos. Of the small plates, our favorite was the pig cheek poutine. Wow! It tasted so rich, much like a beef stew but with much more flavor. The sugarcane lamb was also excellent (and award winning) as our waiter said. Very, very nice. I would very much recommend this restaurant. My only minor issue was it was noisy, but it was a trendy, hip-style place so that is par for the course. It was a fun experience & the Pearl district was a nice change from the tourist areas.

I like the inside restaurant. Old and elegant. The sausage was really good. The pork loin cured 6 months was ok. Will be back to try another type cured meat. The watermelon wedge salad was also good.

Six adults for a celebration dinner. Cured was recommended by our extended family who live in the area. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was decent. The location is great. We enjoyed our cocktails, appetizers, entrees and of course after dinner drinks.

Having lived and worked in Europe in my younger years, I was a fan of charcuterie decades before it became popular in the United States. Still, in these days when it has become fairly popular, relatively few establishments actually have the dedication and wherewithal to cure their own meats much less have a proper storage unit to keep meat at the proper humidity and temperature. Cured has both. Their selection changes from time to time but there will always be some constants on the menu. Today I had the pleasure of lunching there with sfriends and I shared a nine selection with one of them. Our plate consisted of Apple Jalapeño Pork Rillettes, Whipped Pork Butter, Smoked Duck Ham, Bresaola, 'Nduja, Lamb Pastrami, Lamb Soppressata, 90 Day Coppa and Smoked Gouda. The accompaniments were bread and butter pickles, dill pickles, pineapple preserves, two types of whole grain mustard, a sweet style and one with beer and "brewer's crackers." The rillettes (shredded pork with a judicious amount of fat) were topped with apple sauce which had to be incorporated before eating. The richness found its counterpoint in the applesauce but I failed to taste any jalapeño. The whipped pork butter was--you guessed it--whipped pork fat. The flavor was mild but unctuous and when paired with a bit of that pineapple preserves and a dab of the sweet mustard--yes, mustard!--on a cracker, I could have eaten that all day! The smoked duck ham tasted like, well, ham--something I didn't expect. It reminded me of a young prosciutto but with a smokey finish. Bresaola is a dried salted meat (in Italy it was donkey but at Cured it was beef); don't confuse this with jerky--never the twain shall meet. The most exotic and scarcely seen was the 'Nduja, a spicy Italian spreadable salumi which had a flavor similar to very fine Spanish chorizo. Both the lamb pastrami and soppressata were flavorful; with a touch of mustard (the beer for the pastrami, sweet for the soppressata), I preferred them without the crackers. The smoked gouda was a disappointment. That's because it wasn't gouda but an inferior cheddar that was substituted without asking if that was acceptable. It had a dry texture which was unpleasant and I'm deducting one star. At these prices, I expected the courtesy of asking. There was one other "disappointment," yet the word is too harsh. The 'Nduja is usually served with toasted bread as it has a somewhat thick consistency; the crackers were thin and they shattered. The waitstaff was polished, pleasant and polite, the "Three P's" we called them in culinary school; have them all and excellent service is assured. Kudos to the staff for mastering all three! The ambiance fit the period surroundings perfectly--stone/brick walls with heavy woods throughout. Modernizing the building would have been out of place and would have distracted from the entire experience. As with any fine restaurant, the expertise to produce an excellent product and quality of ingredients comes at a price. Do not expect huge portions; do expect them to be finely crafted and very satisfying.

Came to Cured in the afternoon for wine and their famous platter of speciality cheeses, jams, fruits and meat shavings. It was very tasty. We sat at the bar and the bar tender explained each item on the platter in detail, where it’s from or how it was made. Just a light app this time but I would love to go back and try the entrees. Lovely atmosphere/beautiful building and friendly service.

What a great restaurant! We walked in without a reservation, and the three of us were seated at the chef's table. Food was excellent with a great deal of detail in preparation. Service was above par; our server was friendly and helped us make choices. We definitely recommend Cured and the Pearl Brewery area!

Charming old administrative building in the Pearl Brewing area of San Antonio. The Vodka Drink on happy hour menu was refreshing on a hot summer day!! Bartenders Ben and Jen were great!!

Cured definitely feels cool but unless you want cured meat, skip it. The name describes this restaurant’s offerings perfectly! I tried the pork cheek poutine and the beet and avocado salad. Both were good. If I wasn’t solo I would have ordered a charcuterie platter. If it wasn’t for the $1 Pabst happy hour I would have left after looking at the menu. There weren’t a lot of options. The service and presentation was above average.

I was looking forward to something elevated and other than Riverwalk restaurants. The wine and food were both underwhelming, as was the atmosphere. I ordered filet mignon, which was undercooked (I ordered medium and it was medium rare at best). And it came with frites. This is not an elevated experience at all. I can have better food in my little town of Missoula, MT.

My wife and I always seem to find ourselves at Cured for special occasion - although it should not be limited to that. 1. Dinner is always outstanding and never disappoints. Menu changes periodically, so there is usually something new you haven't tried. 2. Brunch is a treat (although maybe a little pricier than a "normal" brunch place). 3. Drinks / Cocktails are an unexpected surprise, in that they keep up with the latest trends. There is a small bar /bar seating, so you could go in for just cocktails.

The food is outstanding and great wine list. Service was superb will definitely go back when I return.

Had the best meal so far on our Texas trip. Nice vibe to the place and our waiter was great. We had the charcuterie board to start - generous portions and delicious. I had scallops - perfectly cooked and I had to ask for a spoon for the sauce as didn't want to leave any! Husband had the duck. The desserts were also perfect.

WOW!!!! Very yummy charcuterie platters, excellent buttermilk fried chicken in donuts with a jalapeño syrup. Wow!! Loved it. Service was excellent. In the heart of the market too.

Great place for charcuterie and wine. We started with the small chef's choice plate- sliced smoked duck, pork and gruyere type cheese. Very tasty. The special that day was fried quail legs drizzled with honey so we ordered those as well ( Only .50 a piece). Everything was absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be coming back.

Most times you cannot get good wine on happy hour, it's usually "house" wine which brings to mind large jugs or boxes from the grocery store. That is not the case here, there is a large variety of good wines at discounted prices available at happy hour as well as small plates. Plus, they serve you hard boiled eggs complementary. Staff was outstanding.

How is this place ranked so high is beyond me. Was there today for lunch. We even gave our drink and food order at once! Took forEVA!!! My medium steak and eggs was raw meat, and chewy, had to cut it in super miniscule chuncks to eat it. My spouse pouting was wrong too... we ate it, since the waitress disappeared... now it's 2:54 and i was supposed to be at the mall shopping. But now am home because I have bubble guts and feel sick to my stomach.

Oh my goodness - we thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch at Cured. Female Foodie recommends this place on her Top 10 SA restaurants and she's never steered us wrong no matter the city. We took the river shuttle (not the tour boat) up to The Pearl which was very relaxing. We walked around till happy hour started at 3 pm and found the bookstore next door charming. The happy hour menu is quite limited but we found plenty to like about it. It's a pared down version of their lunch and dinner menus because the kitchen is busy switching over their service. I tried 3 of their gin drinks and my husband had a glass of wine and 2 beers. The charcuterie starter is a must-have. You choose 3, 6 or 9 items off the list and it's served with crackers, jams, fruit and such. Faves are Apple Jalapeno Pork Rillettes and Lardo. After just 3 items we wondered how on earth we would eat our main courses but everything was so tasty we pushed through and got it done. The quail legs are novel and cheap enough you can order a half dozen or so. Their burger has bacon mixed into the meat and is served with onion jam. Yum! The Pig Cheeks Poutine - double yum!! The only slight negatives to mention are that the salami was a wee bit dry (should have had a cheese instead) and the ice cream sandwich for desert was nothing special. At that point it was unnecessary anyway. We were full to the brim. We rolled ourselves back down to the dock to ride the river shuttle back downtown. All in all a perfect afternoon.

To start, they have NO beer on draft. Their cheese selection was, well, two. You have two options. For the Charcuterie options it seems that you payed for the board you could choose 3/20, 6/28 or 9/36. Cheese counted in the number and if you wanted any of the meats that sounded amazing there was an added up charge. Everything else seemed like the left over parts of the animal that they said “hey let’s make this into something for the board and charge extra for the good meats.” The food tasted good, but definitely not worth the price. Extremely disappointing.

Cured has a great concept and a trendy, yet small menu. The food though was just so so. I had a fish dish that was just too salty to eat. Would like to try other options here before I write it off.

Cured is a good, bordering great dining experience. Nestled in the (former) Pearl Brewery compound, it is not easy to find and you will most likely hike to get there from the parking available. But it is worth it. The house curated charcuterie: duck ham, bresaola, and pepperoni were excellent--on the verge of salty. The foie gras was more like exceedingly salty and loose bologna. The whipped pork butter was simply not worth the money. There were no cheeses on offer the night we went was rather disappointing but the basil and mesquite mustards were excellent unfortunately, the pickled jalapenos were just that. The brewery crackers are toasted flatbread and ill-suited to the purpose it was intended. The crab meat ravigote was sublime and the tete de cochon tasted like vegetable soup and it was a let down after the ravigote. That the waiter would not tell us what it is would've felt like it was pushed on us if we hadn't worked out the meaning for ourselves, (it's a terrine of face/head meat with veggies). The pork cheek poutine is delightful and I wish I had devoted more attention to it than the charcuterie tray. Sidenote: the GAMAY, Jean-Francois Merieau 'Les Bois Jacou' is delightful at $10/glass. We were too stuff for dessert. We will mos def return to Cured but we would curtail the charcuterie and explore more of the menu.

We went to Cured in the Pearl Street Brewery area for a business dinner. This a Charcuterie extravanza with wide selection of meats and cheese as well as Tapas size speciality dishes like chicken fried liver. Cured has full bar with plenty of local and speciality beers to compliment your food. Great casual atmosphere and service. Highly recommend a visit if you are a Foodie or if you just like to eat

It was little more bushy that we thought. The food was prepared great, and the presentation and plating was good. The portions are small. We had a 6 selection charcuterie board, the meat was pretty good, not a fan of the cold cured pork, not sure of the name they called it. The large "crackers" as they called them were good, but we only had two and asked for more and they never arrived.

We went on a weeknight for a business dinner. Cool concept but the meats were very salty. Menu was small and pricy. He service was also subpar as it wasn’t very busy and it took a long time to get what we ordered.

The food here was very good. Not quite what I expected the restaurant to be, but the server explained the menu to us. The food was very good, especially the watermelon wedge salad. They had a good beer selection with local craft beer.

Great artisan restaurant with superior service and specialized attention. It’s a very specific, small menu with an emphasis on meats, fresh and locally sourced. Fabulous atmosphere in the former administrative building, gorgeous fixtures and cool touches that the staff are happy to share details about. Food is outstanding!

Had dinner with a colleague during a business trip. We shared the 9 plate and the poutine with a couple of drinks and we were full. Great selection of Texas beers and wines.

Very good food, very pleasant dining outside during a warm evening. Food was a bit overpriced, but other than that, we had a very good dinner. Meat was unique.

Fab causal setting for lunch. Staff is very friendly food very innovating. You can buy cured meats to take home!!!

the menu was limited, of 4 of us, no one thought it was very good. The ambiance and service were great, but the food was not good tasting. The "board" was the best thing, plain meat ,like a steak is best bet.

Had dinner with friends at cured last night and it was a real treat! Start with a charcuterie board for sure! We let our server choose for us and it was perfect! Everything on the menu that we tried was wonderful! Great service, great food, friendly staff, cool environment!

The food is delicious, but the portions are laughably small. I mean tiny portions. I had to go to a burger joint afterwards to fill up. I can't recommend this place to anyone who is actually hungry and wants a full stomach.

The Pearl district is just north of downtown and is a vibrant area that’s undergone a renaissance in the past decade. What was once a dilapidated run down brewery-plaza in the 90s has come back in a very big way offering a something for everyone. Cured is in the heart of it all specializing in exquisite charcuterie that dry ages different meats for a 30 day minimum. All of the meats hang in the center of the restaurant which elevates the trendy atmosphere. Do not pass on the charcuterie boards. We did the 6 option spread and split a flat iron steak, which was more than enough to feed 2.

The Cured is situated in a very desirable location at the Pearl. The exterior is a very pretty old building that appears to be converted into a restaurant. When you walk in the vibe for us is not great; very hard, small and uncomfortable wooden chairs. The atmosphere is sterile, no music, no art, just barebones. My husband mentioned it didn't feel like 'date night' at this restaurant. The service was excellent and they were kind and efficient. The menu was a bit limited for us. For starters they lean on the selection of meat and cheeses. For the three meat choice we got two meets and one cheese. For portions they give you about 3 tiny slivers of meat per choice and a small scoop of cheese. They offered crackers with the meats/cheese. I ordered the burrata salad for dinner and asked for some bread to go with it, but they do not offer bread. The bison was good but again, I wish there had been more choices. Only choice with the meats was french fries. We sat at 6:30 and the meal was over at 7:15. I would choose another place in the future for more of a long-lasting, more comfortable dining experience.

Arrived for a late lunch and was lucky enough to be served by Arlen. Arlen was highly knowledgeable and helpful with explaining the cured meats, and other menu items. The pork cheek gumbo was incredible, the burger was made with ground beef and bacon and was delicious. The charcuterie plate we picked from (with Arlen’s guidance) had probably 16-18 different meat and cheese items all made in-house. Excellent drinks, cool restored 100+ year old structure, interesting and delicious food and a top shelf server Arlen. Fabulous lunch spot!

Bacon, fried oysters & tomato sandwich with habanero mayo. Excellent! wife had the meat & cheese charcuterie & she loved it!

When. In the Pearl Brewery neighborhood you should eat at Cured. We ordered a variety of very different things. All were excellent. I’m not sure what I’ll order next time. Probably something different again.

Imagine Cured as a large Deli, with table service. It is located in the Pearl Brewery district. It has a full bar and a great selection of charcuterie as well as multiple attractive dishes a la carte. We visited as a group of 15, with 7 children, ages 7-13. We were distributed over two large tables in a separate area of the restaurant that serves as a party room. We had an excellent server, who was attentive, efficient and helpful. Cocktails (including mocktails) were expertly prepared and very enjoyable. Appetizers included several Charcuterie trays, which were wonderful. They included items familiar to most, as well as some less common choices, directed to the initiated. Empanadas were a favorite of both adults and kids. The gumbo was well prepared and generous/ The Duck Wing was another favorite. For mains we enjoyed a Rainbow Trout (Exquisite!), 2 Pork Steaks, 2 orders of gnocchi, 1 Kale Caesar, 1 Ribeye and 2 steaks "Au Poivre". There were no complaints, except we were too full to enjoy dessert. We also enjoyed three separate selections of red wine from a very interesting wine list. Overall, an excellent outing for all in the family.

We ate here for lunch because we had stayed at the hotel Emma nearby. It was nice because we could book a table online, although it looked like we did not need to on that particular day. We had a charcuterie board and some local beers. The items on our board were quite delicious and unique. The only downside is spending a lot for not a lot, which is fine but you would need to plan ahead. Overall we would eat here again. Waitress attentive.

In town for a conference and wanted to stay away from the Riverwalk! The Pearl District is a refreshing change -- good food, drinks, vibe. Cure was an excellent meal. I had the softshell crab and it was delicious. I highly recommend coming here and staying away from the tourist traps and terrible food on the Riverwalk! Thanks for a great night, Cured!

Just visited for 9 days and this by far was the best meal I had. We started with with samples of meats and cheeses. Loved trying new things. I had the redfish for dinner and it was amazing :) The building was full of character and would definitely go back again next time I’m in town.

My husband and I visited Cured on a recent trip to San Antonio. We stopped in for drinks and stayed for a chacuterie board. We enjoyed the atmosphere at the bar. The bartender was attentive, personable and makes killer drinks! The charcuterie board was the best we've ever had. This was first time had ever tried duck ham and I have to say it is not to be missed.

If you are going for Brunch, lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong. The menu changes on a regular basis with eclectic meals normally added. The prices are mid to upper range but you get what you pay for. They have a good list of local beers available. The servers are very knowledgeable about their food and what drinks go well with them. If you are ever around the Pearl and hungry, you must give this place a try

I just want to let everyone know that this restaurant is absolutely AMAZING!!! I was there on vacation and as I sit here back home in Connecticut doing search after search to see if anyone makes Quail Wings here they just don’t! I’ve been craving those little wings of deliciousness since we left and can’t stop thinking about them! I’m so disappointed nobody around here makes them so I just might have to make them myself. They were honestly one of the best things I’ve ever had in my entire life and I travel frequently and try all types of food but these Wings top the list! I also want to thank the workers because I left a bag of soap things I brought and when I called they had it waiting until my friend who lives there picked it up. I say this because they easily could have told me they never saw it and kept it for themselves so thank you Cured Employees for your honesty! All in all if you’re ever in the area this incredible restaurant is a MUST!!!

What a great place! If they are offering quail legs order a dozen or more!! Best food I have eaten in a very long time!!

We have been here for a good breakfast, brunch, and dinner, but happened to be walking by in the mid-afternoon when one of the staff asked us if we wanted to stop for happy hour at one of their outdoor tables in the front. It was a nice day, so why not? A local draft beer was super cheap, and the fried quail legs, drizzled with a rosemary infused honey, were fantastic - tender meat, perfectly soft but crunchy crust. A dozen of the legs is far better than any chicken wings you'll ever get. And , quite surprisingly, it was a bargain. I'm not sure if it was a "special", but if you're in the Pearl area in mid to late afternoon, stop and ask what's on for happy hour!

A carnivore’s paradise. Nice craft cocktail menu. Only negative is a limited wine list. As the name implies the cured selections from the butcher are outstanding. Portion sizes are modest — I like that they do not supersize the portions. But there is more here than meat — my wife enjoyed the citrus salad and rabbit.

My wife and I had one of the poorest meals, anywhere, at Cured. My wife had two hamburgers, baked hard, salty, inedible. I had a pastrami sandwich. The meat was too thick, not brined for taste, and placed on a bed of green, overcooked vegetables. In February 2017, I wrote a favorable review of Cured. Why happened?

Only 4 entrees on dinner menu. Salad options also very limited. Spent over $100 for 4 with no appetizers, no desserts, no drinks......and nobody happy with what they had. Epic disappointment. How it has managed a high TA rating is beyond comprehensible. If the massive sodium intake didn’t send our stroke risk through the roof, the marital stress certainly did. Everyone had health insurance coverage fortunately.

We walked in here while we were at the Farmer's Market on a Saturday and decided to stay for their brunch (they do lunch M-F and brunch Sat and Sun). All of us were pleased with what we had. The tequilla sunrise was excellent. I got the charcuterie which allows you to choose 3, 6, or 9 meats (salami, sausage etc) and/or cheeses. It came well presented with some sauces and mustard. The Brewer's Crackers it comes with we thought were half burnt. A friend had the chicken and doughnuts and said the chicken was excellent. The burgers were very good. One disappointment was that they charge to refill a soda! They should tell you they do this as very few places I've been charge for a refill. The atmosphere was interesting. Service was good.

Had 6 items on a meat/cheese plate; a bloody Mary, a coffee and some water and the bill was $80 or so which seemed a lot of money for what was basically a snack. Not worth the money (I live in France and Spain and would have got the same for maybe $25.... However, was nice to have some food that isn't fried; comes with fries or is full of sugar etc..... Lovely ambiance and very nice service...

I know that the chef here is 5 star (*****), but our experience betrayed the reputation of CURED. The evening, a Friday, was very busy and the service was slow and chaotic. The portions were small, perhaps because it was happy hour (?) what was served catered to the drink and snack crowd. There were four in our party, and the only table available (we made reservations) was in the middle of the way to the kitchen and facilities. What we did have tasted good, but again, the service and the atmosphere detracted from the experience.

Stopped for lunch by the name alone .we had a charcuterie plate and gumbo.all the meats and mustard is made inhouse along with a wine blueberry reduction that paired with everything.nice selection of beer wine and cocktails not a cheap lunch but worth every penny.excellent staff and the manager came over to explain the history of the area.

The duck ham was great, but the chicken mousse was too spiced/strong. Good drinks and friendly bartenders. In the heart of the Pearl District.

Had some of the best cured ham this side of Iberico. Delicious fried quail legs and a pick your meat platter. Friendly service and pretty extensive cocktail offerings.

I have wanted to come here for THREE YEARS. I finally did today and man was it a let-down. I do not understand why it has so many good reviews! Some are even raving?? WHY? Atmosphere is great (although is heavy with hipsters) and the service was great too, even with messing up our order. I was so excited. And then our $30 charcuterie ‘board’ arrived. And it was a board alright- it was BORED AND BORING. and the three tiny (I mean TINY) meat items weren’t even tasty! I mean honestly! Go get a $7 patê from a butcher shop and it’s better. There was just those three very tiny portion meat items (for example one bring the duck ham was five slices about 1”x2”), an apricot and blueberry jam, two types of whole grain mustard, eight slices of small bread, and about six blackberries. That’s it. No cheese. I would not even call what we had an appetizer portion for more than one. Our order of poutin (which I’ve never tried at all) was accidentally swapped with an order of chicken livers. I ate one. Quickly learned livers are pungent and a special taste - and not for me. My husband likes livers but he said them being fried and lemon flavored was real weird. He ate two bites. $60 later and we were starving and disappointed. 😒 ..... didn’t order a proper meal when we were properly hungry.... maybe try the 45 day aged $75 ribeye and you’ll be happy?? Maybe??

Overrated restaurant-The restaurant had potential but it failed to deliver what the menu and former reviews promised. The bar and drinks were good. The charcuterie was just ok. The travesty was a $180 steak. We ordered it medium rare but what we got was well done. It looked and tasted like something from Outback Steakhouse.

Enjoyed a wonderful charcuterie plate for lunch on a recent visit to the Pearl area in San Antonio. Everything that came on the plate was delicious although I have to give a special shoutout for the pickled watermelon which was just incredible. You should definitely check Cured out - you won't be disappointed.

The service was exceptional. The food was great. The staff answered my questions about the menu, I will differently be back, I look forward to bringing my fellow associates with me the next time I'm in San Antonio.

A tour guide recommended the restaurants in the Pearl District, as each one has to apply for a location in that area. They are only selected if they are local, unique, and chef-run. They all sounded great, but we chose Cured. We started with a charcuterie plate, and you should too. The meats were fresh and flavorful. The jams, relishes and mustards are all house-made and complement the meat wonderfully. After the charcuterie, we shared poutine, a beet and avocado salad, and gnocchi. Each dish was perfectly and simply prepared - not fussy but full of flavor. Our waitress was attentive, giving excellent recommendations when we asked, and the atmosphere is welcoming but still makes you realize the restaurant is very special.

We went to Cured for a light dinner. The place was busy but, we were seated right away. We ordered a tasting sampler of meats and cheese including the quail wings. The food was very good and the service was attentive. Ii is pricey but, it was fun tasting the different kinds of meats. The highlight of the dinner was the Cured eggnog! OMG! It was one of the best I have ever had! We were there a week before Christmas so, maybe this was just a holiday special drink. Cured is a special place in the Pearl.

Trendy, fun atmosphere. Exceptional charcuterie. Meats are amazing. Staff is very friendly . Situated in the Pearl Brewery. Nice place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere after dinner

Happy Hour at Cured is not to be missed. Start with the quail and then go for the Charcuterie. There are several options of meat and cheese, served with crackers and some amazingly tasty pickles and other pickled vegetables. They have a full bar. I especially liked all of the craft cocktails and with the happy hour discount, it is a good deal. Really good selection of wines by the glass as well as several local craft beers on tap. Cured has renovated an old Pearl Brewery administrative building and then added on. They’ve created a casual place with a good vibe and fun atmosphere. As one might expect the food inside is all made with the freshest local ingredients, and cured in some way. Everything I tasted showed that the chef and restaurant team really care about making your experience special and memorable.

Took my vegan Granddaughter, serving n the Air Force, to Cured for a night away from Lackland AFB. James Beard award winner and all the cured meats were done on premise. Excellent meal and they offered vegan fare as well. Service was professional.

It’s been five years since we’ve traveled to wonderful San Antonio. We’re so glad that Cured is still here and still terrific! Food and service is fantastic! We’ll be back!!

Definitely a different restaurant for us. Their charcuterie board was good but limited choices and small portions. The gumbo was a standout. Service was great and friendly. Would go again and try other dishes.

Had wonderful food and service. Cured meats and cheese app were outstanding. We also had the burger and fried oyster salad. Thanks so much for the superb service Alex.

I would have loved to write a review of the food here (this place was recommended by 3 people), but after we were seated and the waitress took our drink order, she never came back. My husband and I waited for 25 minutes and we decided that we weren't paying $25 for entrees, when the service was this bad. I would like to add that the place was approximately 3/4th full of empty tables. That should have told us something.

While in San Antonio, I meet up with family and we had a great time at Cured. Wonderful staff and an awesome place. Next time I am in the Pearl District, I plan on stopping in again.

We hadn’t visited The Pearl area for several years. Wow, what a great place to spend a couple of hours. Music, lots of shopping, and the highlight was a late lunch at Cured restaurant. Creative cocktails, interesting wine list and delicious food. We shared several appetizers for our lunch. Their specialities are cured meats and pickled items. Everything was a burst of flavors. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with the wine pairings and food selections, definitely want to return during a future trip to San Antonio.

We dined with my Father and Nephew, started with a large meat and cheese platter, it didn't last long and we were ready to order more. Really good service, fun atmosphere, and excellent food. Everything was great.

My sister and I stopped in at Cured for a drink, but ended up ordering a charcuterie board that was amazing. They give you a menu with choices for meats and cheeses. We had Smoked Duck, Lardo, a Beef and Porcini Mushroom sausage, 2 locally sourced cheeses and Pork Butter with in-house made crackers. You have to try the Pork Butter, creamy and utterly amazing. We had a house specialty drink that was great and the service was wonderful. Do not miss going to Cured @ The Pearl.

The bartenders Ben and Jen were great. Super helpful with wine selection…I’m a bit picky lol. The food looked great we had reservations so stopped in for a few drinks. Happy hour is a steal of a deal at Cured so it’s on the list for next trip to SA for more than drinks. Loved the atmosphere too.

This place was great. I ordered the beet salad and it had an avocado purée on the bottom of the plate. It was light and delicious. And it was plated beautifully. The cheese plate was great. It doesn't look like it would be a lot for three people but it was surprisingly quite filling. I would definitely recommend ordering the goat cheese. Quail legs? For 50 cents each leg? Definitely worth the try. The service was great. The waitress will pour your water and explain what each item was in front of you. She would also come back again with the menu so you can view the dessert. Because we were full, we didn't order dessert. I wouldn't mind coming here again.

It's not a 5 star restaurant, white table cloth etc. but it should get 5 stars for fitting in their genera of food and ambiance. this is located in a free-standing building in the heart of The Pearl complex. The in-house curing and aging of meats is what makes this special, but the wine and spirit selections carry this one over the top. It is a loud place when full (all evenings) but great for a multi-platinum charcuterie and wi9n e pairing experience. Of all things, the mussels with fatback is the best way to start a set. Roasted bone marrow is amazing and melts like a savory butter. The charcuterie selections are plentiful, and full plates are available. this is one of my favorite Pearl venues, and afterward you can top off at Jazz Texas for full swing band gigs. It's a busy place, reservations are highly recomm ended ads walk-ins will find seating limited.

The meat and cheese platter situation was amazing. Went with a small group of work friends. Great atmosphere - the Pearl area is really beautiful. Would definitely go back.

Yum! Delicious craft cocktail accompanying Creative Chacuterie is a great kick off for a wonderful meal. The eclectic nature of Cured reflects the distinctive reclaimed Pearl Brewing Company. Now a very hip village the campus of the former brewery sets the stage for a great meal. My colleague had the steak and I had the heirloom tomato salad. Every bite was intense and succulent and visually appealing. Loved the experience.

The pumpkin chili was delicious, we also liked the quail legs which is a specialty. Great outdoor tables. Fast service.

While visiting The Pearl on a Sunday, during the farmers market we came here for brunch. We got here right as they opened, so it wasn’t busy. We were quickly greeted & seated and enjoyed the view of the curing fridge as we entered. Our server was amazing… She was VERY friendly. Additionally, the GM kept stopping by to check on us. The menu is really nicely done, especially for brunch… So many great options too!! Their burger tasted amazing… so did the fried chicken and donuts! Cocktails were nicely done too! Overall, we loved our visit and would recommend it!!!

We went for happy hour and loved the quail legs appetizer recommendation from our bartender. Watching them create the charcuterie platters was fascinating and entertaining. We would have had dinner had they been open on Sunday but had reservations elsewhere. Great location in the Pearl district. The owner has quite a backstory, he’s a cancer survivor so the name of his restaurant is applicable to his life as well as his food. Foodie approved.

Meandered in to Cured to relax, grab a bite and have a drink. We tried the CHARCUTERIE board. The meat was interesting, didn't come with cheese, that is extra and they only had one kind, a very aged cheddar. It was a cool atmosphere and my husband liked the food, I am just used to a more diverse board. Worth trying out.

My husband and I came to San Antonio for an anniversary trip and decided we needed to check out the Pearl district for lunch. When we saw that Cured is a James Beard Award winner, we had to go! Now, we are Newbies to Charcuterie, but our waiter, Alex, helped us pick 2 meats and 1 cheese and encouraged us to build our palette as we saw fit. There were so many surprisingly good combinations! The charcuterie alone would have been enough for a meal for two, but we had to try more of this awesome food. So, we split a shrimp poboy after learning that the chef (or owner?) came to SA by way of New Orleans. He has the bread he makes the poboys with flown in from New Orleans! The sandwich was perfect with the shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and remoulade. If you go to the Pearl district, you MUST go to this restaurant. I would feel sad for you to be so close and not try it out. It’s amazing!

The menu is a huge assortment of charcuterie on one side with an assortment of small plates and dinners on the other. There is a huge selection of micro brewery beers and a carefully chosen modest wine list. A small dessert list includes the best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted. The vibe is hip and aimed at the young, but us old folks were quite comfortable.

This restaurant is not to be missed! It’s in the very chic Pearl District, but it actually lives up to the trendy hype. Our group started with charcuterie platters, which were amazing. The meats, cheeses, mustards, jams, etc. were unusual and delicious. The small plates and entrees were also incredible, especially the agnolotti and the lamb. Service was great and the entire experience was wonderful. Highly recommend!

This was definitely one of the best restaurant experiences in the US! It's a fine dining place with outstanding service and delicious meals. Highly recommended to everyone who likes gourmet food!

Had a great time at brunch here recently. Food is outstanding, and the menu, while focusing on the charcuterie offerings was surprisingly comprehensive. it is a great price/value experience given the off-the-charts quality of their products. The service was my favorite combination of precision and fun. The interior of the restaurant is really worth the trip. It sits in the center of the Pearl Brewery complex, very near the hotel Emma.

Great food, friendly staff, and fun atmosphere. Nice place for group family style dining. Parking can be a bit challenging but certainly worth the effort.
Be sure to get a table indoors.
We had called too late to get a table indoors and had to eat on the patio on a rather cool evening, so we just ordered some small plates so we wouldn't have to linger. They were all good, but I think if we had been more comfortable inside we would have tried some other dishes and enjoyed our meal better. We need to go back and try again.
