Better than Cheers in Boston

We really felt at home. We visited twice during our stay in Seattle. Great food and drinks, friendly staff. We will be back.

Fab Breakfast

By Michelle250 |

Having stayed in Seattle for the weekend we found this great place on our last day; the breakfast was amazing and very tasty. I had the sweet potato hash which was amazing and my husband was equally impressed with his breakfast. The venue is pretty cool and funky and the staff really friendly. We will definitely return when back in Seattle.

Cyclops - the eye gets you in - the staff and locals make you want to stay

By Immy_in_Singers |

This fantastic little bar caught my eye... They tell me it often happens, as their name suggests their Cyclops imagery pulls you in. Well something got my attention on a very cold January Sunday afternoon in Seattle. Hours in the Experience Music Project Museum immersed in The Hendrix Experience and Nirvana flashbacks left me wanting to experience a small bar and a locally brewed ale. Just like the legends - once you step in the door of this bar - you don't want to leave. An awesome small bar with fantastic staff and equally welcoming local customers (I think an Aussie accent helps). The mixologist/manager, Dylan is a fantastic guy - he will be quoted in my book should it ever get published. And the random local folks helped me feel immediately welcome and quickly at home - thankyou! I only hope if you make it to Australia that we extend the same hospitality! If you are going to Seattle don't miss this.

Perfect Stop

By 310Tweety |

We ate here after traveling all day to Seattle. Safe to say we were famished and thirsty for a beer. We looked at menus at several places along 1st ave, but none caught out eye. Except Cyclops. My shandy beer was the best i've ever had. I'm a lover of weird food combinations, and have never come across a sweet potato and kale quesidilla before, and as a vegetarian I loved coming across Black Bean Nachos!!! Needless to say, our food and drinks were beyond amazing and it was worth passing up the other resturants for. The prices weren't too high either which was nice. It was a bit noisy inside, but looked like the hot spot for friends to meet up for happy hour on a Friday evening!

Friendly Place

By Robert C |

This is a great place to just sit and sip a drink after sightseeing all day. The people at the bar are very friendly and we struck up a nice conversation. We just had drinks. They had a great IPA for my wife. The food menu looked interesting, but we were between meals and didn't eat.

Cozy spot with friendly staff

By CallmeLenny |

We popped into Cyclops while waiting for a table at Jerk Shack. The bartender was friendly and the noise level allowed conversation which was nice.

good corner bar

By Amy J |

Had apps and drinks inside in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. Good service. Right across from our condo.

Great burger and snack joint

By margre02 |

Cyclops is a Belltown institution, been around forever and has a cool funky hotel called Ace above it. The food is really good, great burgers and snacks, diverse crowd including the old couple that sit in the window late mornings on weekdays with a glass of wine and their lunch.

Perfect neighborhood bar

By Deborah J |

Nothing fancy, just comfortable for a beer, a drink, watching the people go by from a sidewalk table.

Food in the wee hours of the night

By Phyllis S |

It was late in the evening and we were feeling hungry. Cyclops was within close proximity to where we were staying so we walked over and had our meals there. The server was very friendly and brought us our orders promptly My daughter and I shared the El Cubano made of roasted pulled pork, sliced pit ham, swiss cheese, on ciabatta. My son ordered the super Bueno Burger which he enjoyed. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Prices are competitive. They opened until 2:00 a.m.

Informal "seafood" in a Mediterranean style.

By Harold O |

Modest priced informal dining with barfare. A quick walk from El Gaucho Inn. Don't be in a hurry for service.

Craving it NOW!!

By 212463 |

The BEST veggie burger I have ever had!! It is called a HIPPIE Burger! Not your regular garden burger either! Service was very good, drinks (liquior and not) very good. Good place your your $$, but not at all fancy, so be prepared. I loved it, a good vibe, relaxed and upbeat. Dined there twice, Cuban sanwich equally delicous! I was there at dinner time, don't know but it could get quite busy and loud if a late dinner.

Beer

By AmandaBribieIsland |

Enjoyed our beer and food stayed at the Ace Hotel good staff and fab food. Happy hour was only $1 less so bit disappointing but overall pleasant.

Shocker

By Buschwhack |

We stopped at the Cyclops on a hungry whim. The food was awesome. Each plate for our three guests highly enjoyed their dinners. The food was very fresh and the beer selection was decent. The decor and music choice was very eclectic. Our server Josh was great too.

Fun atmosphere

By LauraMOAustin_TX |

Delicious nachos, enchiladas, blackened salmon tacos & Cubano sandwich. Funky fun decor was easy entertainment & made for great banter while eating.

Great bar

By lynne m |

This bar is directly under The Ace Hotel where we were staying . Its a nice bar with friendly staff and although we did not eat here, the food looked tempting

In the Land of the Blind...

By Eric S |

We just popped in to escape the heat (yes, surprising) for some time and grab a few drinks. I went with the house red and wasn't disappointed. Grabbed some wings to refuel for the walk ahead and they were quite good. Service was great and everyone was so friendly. We enjoyed it and were glad we stopped in.

Good Place for a Beer

By semimu |

Nice local bar scene. Not a huge fan of the food. Go for the drinks and appetizers

Unique decor, great food and drink

By raincitykitty |

I've been here for brunch once and happy hour numerous times, and never been disappointed. Good selection of beers and cocktails, basic but yummy food, and friendly service. One of my favorite places in Seattle.

Great soup!

By Foodie4Life1982 |

We pooped in one Saturday afternoon to have a drink and a bite. I had the fish taco, my husband had the soup. The soup was AMAZING!

Cheap and Cheerful

By LondonBurl |

Really nothing wrong with this place - the food was well priced and tasty. Service was pretty good too. Some of the decor's quite interesting.

Great place to kickback and enjoy yourself

By PauHanna |

Went for a late night bite, wings were good and from some mighty big chickens, good burger, you gotta like big homestyle fries. Our wait was very good. Came back for breakfast the next day, good food, good tofu scramble, same great waitress from the night before. Like drinking older wine, enjoy it for what it is!

Off on a happy tangent

By Melissa D |

Met my husband and his friend at the Clipper ferry and was steering them up to 3rd Street for a bus, but loud complaints of hunger drove us into Cyclops on 1st. Their menu seems of a southwestern bent: we had a pulled pork sandwich and a torta supremo, which was generously split with excellent fries for all. Nice range of beers too. Didn't stay long, as I thought it best to shepherd the boys home before we overstayed our welcome, tho bartender/server Josh was unfaillingly cordial. Thanks guys, adding Cyclops to my ever-growing list of Seattle spots to re-visit.

Thank you!

By Nicola O |

Friendly as, a cool vibe, close to Space Needle & Pike Place Market - had the Happy Hippy Burger & it was beautiful. Thank you!

good eats at this local bar/restaurant

By David A |

just blocks from the pier this little bar/restaurant is more of a local hangout place. Clean business with fresh food and drinks

Saturday Brunch

By Gary B |

Interesting place and good food. I had the biscuits and choizo sausage gravy and my wife had sausage and eggs. Portions were healthy and prices were reasonable.

Decent place

By CONatureGirl |

We were tired from flying in and just wanted a close place to grab dinner. We stopped here, they appeared to be short-staffed, but I know many places are due to COVID so I won't say anything negative about that. The staff were friendly when we did interact with them. Good place to grab drinks and the decor is fun. We had some fish items that were fried...you get what you get, nothing super outstanding but it was definitely good. Do get the polenta fries, they were very tasty!

A Lovely Lunch!

By nstadler |

Our party of 4 stopped in for lunch on our walk around Seattle and had a lovely lunch. The Pepper Bacon Mac and Cheese is delicious! Other members of my party had the Carne Asada Steak Sandwich, Chicken Quesadilla and California Burrito which they all enjoyed. Will be back again! Service was good also as was pretty crowded for lunch but the server was giving her all (Way to go ASHLEY!).

Good food, beer and friendly!

By Diane P |

This was our first stop in Seattle! It was great sitting outdoors and our server, Susan was very helpful. I had the falafel sandwich and my husband had the fish sandwich and both were excellent and the beer was cold!

First stop upon arriving in Seattle.

By mom22sons |

Came from Portland for a weekend getaway. Stopped in here for lunch. They serve breakfast on the weekends until 3pm. Hubby had a California burrito stuffed with carne asada and pepper jack cheese, avaocado, onions, and red and green chile. My sister had a thick, juicy lamb burger topped w feta cheese. The service is good. Prices are fair. Lots of food. Delicious.

Tasty, eclectic and affordable. Accommodating to gluten free also.

By Ccooke |

Pleasantly surprised by this reasonably priced restaurant across from Belltown VRBO! Art and decor amusing, drinks and food surprisingly good, Gluten free substitutions available for most menu items for hungry celiacs. I would not have tried this restuarant from walking by, but thankfully was recommended by our vacation rental welcome staff.

Average food, great service

By FreshEireAdventures |

This is a low-brow simple sort of bar with a few basic items on the menu and, as such, one's expectations should be kept in check. Our super friendly and pleasant server was tending bar as well as taking care of all tables, food orders etc and did a superb job. I ordered a ginger / rum drink on his recommendation (an excellent Ginger Rumba) while my colleague had a few beers. My food was very simple - just a couple of Blackened Salmon Tacos cooked to perfection and super tasty. My colleague's Grilled Salmon was memorable for the wrong reasons - the pre-cooked vegetables were served cold but the salmon was decent. Our server didn't flinch when we sent back the plate for it to be heated up. In response he offered the beers free of charge. That's the sort of place Cyclops is - great service but don't expect too much from the food. Know your mashed potatoes are likely to be microwaved and you'll be fine. I won't eat here again but will likley drop by for a cocktail.

Great Food

By Teresa K |

Great food with plenty of seating. Went for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The Cuban, the Salmon sandwich and lamb burger with Greek fries was absolutely delicious. The salmon tacos were a little dry but okay.

Give it a pass

By Arwen S |

The pulled pork sandwich was way too heavy on the dijon and had pickles on it. The pork itself was bland and stringy. Fries that came with it were either doused in seasoning salt or given none at all (we ate there twice). The decor is enough to make a person sick.

Neighborhood place with great food

By StrollMyWorld |

I found this place on accident and am really glad I did. The drinks were generous, the food - EXCELLENT - and the bartenders were really welcoming - I felt like I was just part of the neighborhood gang having a drink after work. Very nice experience.

Great place across from our condo

By bobo |

Fun and funky casual place that was across from where we were staying. Food was great & service OK. Felt like a neighborhood hang out. Ate there 3 times in 5 days.

Great Seattle Bar

By Neil R |

Always great service. House IPA (One-Eye-PA) is worth a try. Lunch specials are cheap and tasty. Comfortable and plentiful places to sit. Great place to procrastinate before running errands.

Terrible food, Terrible Waitress!

By sv g |

We were there today ( 4th of July) while in Seattle. A real dent in the day.I would never go back or recommend this place, especially with other options within walking distance. The silverware was dirty and the order was a mess. Trying hard to be funky does not make up for the terrible waitress who brought our food and disappeared. I ordered a chicken panini and several ingredients were missing( the bacon and condiments) and it was burned and tastless. I waited and waited while my friend finished his not so great burger. When she finally did come back into the restaurant, I mentioned that we needed to go so I wanted to just send it back at this point. She said that she would wrap it to go, but still had to charge me even though they did not get the order right. We just left and wrote it off as a lousy experience. Yuk!

Great burgers

By lovetheunexpected |

It looks a bit grubby from the outside but I think it just needs a window cleaner because it was OK inside. I think it's meant to be eclectic & slightly crazy. Great range of beers & the burgers are highly recommended

Average service. Average...

By Mark W |

Average service. Average food. not what I remembered from the original.

Don’t judge by its looks

By pgpg5860 |

We stopped in for lunch while waiting for an appointment, we weren’t sure what we had gotten ourselves into when we first walked in. Surprise our meals were hot, tasty and served with a smile, the only thing stopping an extra circle was the condition of the bathrooms, not the cleanest and nothing to dry your hands with after washing them.

perfect for the hangover...

perfect for the hangover breakfast....

Open your eye and make your way inside

By McG_Road_Warrior |

I popped into Cyclops when I found several of the local pizza places closed and I didn't want to move the car. The service was quite friendly and my party found themselves having beers at lunch when we hadn't expected to. On that note, good selection of beer here. The food was also great. I had a mac & cheese dish that's was indeed very cheesy. I liked it a lot. They didn't seem all that busy when we were there, which was nice. The music was at the right volume. I'd eat here again.

Comfort Food

By Scott M |

Nice corner bar and place to eat. The Cuban sandwich was fantastic and we really enjoyed the polenta fries. The velvet paintings and eclectic decor is fun! If we make it back to Seattle and stay in the same area, I will certainly go back. This is place is everything chain eateries lack, it has personality.

Fun atmosphere good location, surly bartender

By Rebecca A |

Trendy. Lots of thirty-something's. I had the Cyclops Margarita. It's made w/o premix and the limes are muddled!! I'd have liked a little more Contreau for the sweetness. Good beer choices. When asked, "what kind of microbrews do you have on tap?" the bartender answered curtly (shoving the menu at my SO) all of our microbrews are on tap. I had to do a double take to make sure said bartender wasn't how the bar got it's name-nope he has two eyes.

Fun, Funky Place

By jenhaught |

Funky place with good food! We went here our first night in Seattle on a whim. Food was excellent. Décor is as fun as it gets! Who doesn't want to see a wall of 1970's velvet paintings? It was cool. I had the quesadilla and it was really tasty.

Fun place to have a drink and some good pub food!

By Loretta4452 |

Really fun atmosphere. Great drinks and great bartender! Went several times during our three day stay.

Different in a good way

By Elise51515 |

The restaurant was totally different in a great way. It had great food, good atmosphere and was within walking distance from our hotel!!!! Loved the décor and the staff was great! Cannot wait to go back again on our next trip to Seattle!

A really pleasant place

By Sa1lor |

Excellent, reasonably priced food, including plenty of options for vegetarians and food intolerances. Good range of beers. Lovely barman whose manner and personality seemed perfectly suited to the job he was doing. Attractive surroundings.

Funky Place

By Dave S |

The decor was cool and the place has a good vibe about it with a good selection of beers to choose from. I also ate here one day and thought the food was good for a bar. Not a fancy place to eat but a good place to grab a drink.

Fabulous!!!

By Matthew T |

Popped in for a spot of lunch as we were waiting for our room at the El Gaucho to become available. What a gem!!!!! Wanted a light but of lunch, two soups on offer, we went for the Chicken & Rice, probably one of the best we've ever tasted!!!!! Staff are friendly and really attentive, bonus is the price is really good. What a hidden gem, a must come if you get chance while visiting Seattle.

great food, great drink selection. convenient location.

By Analicia G |

Great food and wonderful drink selection. We stayed in the Ace Hotel, above the Cyclops and got a discount. The food was excellent.

Great neighborhood bar

By Doug D |

Heart of Belltown. Great happy hour specials - food and drink. Eclectic patrons, friendly atmosphere - not glamorous, but good food and drinks at a great value.

disappearing waitress

By Michelle O |

stayed at the Ace hotel and went to Cyclops downstairs for a drink. we sat outside and the waitress came over after she was done with another table. she took our order and came back with the drinks. then we never saw her again. another couple that came after us never even got menus. they got up and left. finally someone else came out to clean another table and we quickly asked for the check. had to bring it inside. not sure what happened. maybe they were short staffed?

Fantastic time

By OnlyinBrighton |

We were staying next door and had looked at lots of other local alternatives before trying Cyclops. So glad we did. Great atmosphere, efficient, friendly staff, great simple food and good value. I had black bean nachos and he had fish and chips.

Outstanding Banana Rum Milkshake

By Dean H |

My wife and I tried our first Air B and B. This bar was just around the corner and had the most amazing banana rum milk shakes. The tender was an outstanding gent who provided fantastic recommendations for local food flare. When you stop by make sure you say hi to Dylan (like Bob).

Great for breakfast

By GJM-Melbourne |

We had breakfast here one morning of our 4 day Seattle stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well prepared, plenty of food and good service. Very convenient to our stay in Belltown Court.

Interesting place

By Lisag523 |

Limited beer selection but friendly staff. Didn't order food but the nachos delivered to the table next to us looked good. They were enjoying it!

Decent breakfast food, lousy service.

By JasonTheFoodie |

Decent breakfast food, lousy service.

Nice restaurant/pub.

By LRG71 |

After returning from a trip to Victoria, B.C., we met one of my co-workers' friends at Cyclops. It's a small (but not tiny) restaurant/pub. Nothing fancy. They offer a variety of beers and liquors as well as food. We tried the nachos as an appetizer and then I had their carne asada steak sandwich. Both meals were very good. Indeed, the sandwich was fantastic. The beers on tap, which are from local Seattle breweries, were very good. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is good, considering that the bartender was also our server. He did a good job. I truly recommend the place. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a relaxing pub atmosphere, Cyclops delivers.

Awsome unigue Ace Hotel and Cyclop resturant

By Greatplace |

We stayed at the Ace hotel right above the Cyclops. The employees at the Ace Hotel were very helpful and we loved the hotel. An added bonus is the Cyclops restaurant right below the Ace Hotel. Great food and drink. We would stay at the Ace Hotel again also because of location and visit the Cyclops for drinks and food again.

Afternoon Drinks

By exacta123 |

We stopped here for a beer while we were walking to our hotel. We ended up staying for 5 hours. It was a fun little bar with several locals hanging out. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. Only problem I encountered was no toilet paper in the bathroom.

Rough around the edges...I like it!

By Virescent |

I love anything that isn't the norm and fights hard at being unpredictable. This is such a spot. Electic and hip. The Cyclops burger was delicious paired with a wonderful beer I regret I didn't take a picture of. Friendly neighborhood regulars to shoot the breeze with. Great place just to chill.

Good food, convenient location

By Rachel S |

I ate at Cyclops while staying at the Ace hotel. The restaurant actually wraps around the underside of the stairs to the hotel and has a fun quirky vibe. The food is decent and the staff was nice.

Local joint, awesome food!

By Juliana P |

Fantastic service at this little local bar downtown Seattle! The we got a cyclop burger and carne assada burrito and hummus platter for appetizer. My father in law who is vegan had a great vegan burger. Prices were pretty reasonable!

Soup to die for!

By mammap |

An eclectic menu of Greek, Mexican, and American. They served a kale soup that was go good we went back the next day for more. Service was very good though the waitress shared time with the adjoining bar.

Unimpressive and Overpriced Breakfast.

By Charles T |

I came in for a quick breakfast. The set up is interesting and the service was pretty good. Unfortunately the Mimosa was blah, the food ranged from pretty good to awful. I don't know what they do to their potatoes.

CRAZY SUPER TASTY PEPPER BACON!

By B B |

A very unassuming place from the outside, but what a gem inside - nice ambiance, funky decor, exposed brick walls, cool and relaxed servers and what dietary delights on the menu! We had huevos rancheros and pancakes with pepper bacon - heaven in the mouth! Hope to visit when next time in Seattle!

Lovely Beer and Cocktails

By Eloygm |

We stopped here by chance and we loved it- the cocktails were great and the barman was awesome. I would for sure recommend this place.

Nursing a terrible hangover!

By Randolph321 |

Came here on the advise of a bartender. Great bloody Mary and eggs Benedict. Nice bartenderess. Straightened me out.

Good burger spot in belltown

By 1bombboy1 |

Very interesting atmosphere, sort of a live music bar meets eccentric Seattle. Very quick service and delicious food though. The omelettes are very worth it and according to my friend the burgers are too. Good spot for a lunch.

Stumbled on this Gem

By dfairchild2017 |

We decided to walk from the Seattle Center to Pike Place which is a bit of a hike. We walked in to the Cyclops for a break, and a drink and we were thankful for this little oasis. The service was great and the drinks were reasonably priced. It was a friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant which was nice considering that we were hitting so many tourist spots on our trip.

Great little neighborhood bar!

By LeDebant |

We were staying across the street from Cyclops and thought we’d try it. Lots on the menu and interesting interior. Some outdoor seating too. The bartender was friendly and upbeat.

GOOD STOP I N SEATTLE

By RoamingMaryland1 |

This restaurant is about halfway between space needle and Pike place. It has good food, outdoor seating and service was good. When out and about in Seattle, it is good place to stop for good food.

I'm in to hurry to get back there. Rude service and okaaay food.

Eye on you

By Billy W |

We were here on a lark, and ended up feeling the spark. Cyclops Ipa is house beer and decent for such a bitters. The neighborhood is trendy and hip, do you can't go wrong staying nearby at the Ace and hanging here to escape the crowds of Pike Street. Outside or inside seating for your convenience.

Friendly Staff + A Delicious Chicken Sandwich

By Ashley J |

Great low key bar beneath the Ace hotel. Typical bar food, so wouldn't venture here for a gourmet experience, but if you're staying in the neighbourhood, it's perfect. Open late, good selection of drinks, and I craved the Blackened Chicken sandwich long after we left Seattle. Had lots of sports on too. Highly recommended for a chill night out. Thanks!

Fun and interesting, but nothing to write home about

By Marie B |

We went there at night for a pub atmosphere. There are definately interesting people there to watch, which was fun. The service is okay and the food was average.

lunch & lunch with friends

By M C |

This is always one of my go to places when I visit Belltown in Seattle. The food is good, the bar is nice, and the ambience is casual. There is a Malcolm X mural that is awesome too!

Great burger in Belltown

By Laura_Kayaks |

Great atmosphere in a laid back environment. Our server was great and the food was yummy! It's a consistently good place to eat and the service is always reliable and friendly. People who come here are always happy because the service and food is great!

OK for breakfast

By SuzeKingsHill |

Four of us had a cooked breakfast in this restaurant. The food was adequate and average. It is not somewhere we would necessarily recommend as there are better eateries nearby.

It makes one feel like a local

By Andy W |

For a great place with funky ambiance, tasty food, and reasonably priced drinks come here. After eating here we felt like we lived in the area. Grab a street view seat and watch the world go by.

Nice restaurant

By Mike S |

This is a nice little restaurant in 1st Avenue. Not a 5* place, but homely with good service and good food with reasonable prices. I'd recommend it.

Quaint little place

By rjd-mjaw |

Handy to our vacation condo, so we stopped in for a late breakfast/early lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Dining room has the old reto look, but the food & service was excellent. The turkey sausage sandwich was a big hit ! Great little place in downtown Belltown area.

Great Place

By Chris-Tammy B |

Nice little diner to stop and grab a quick bite and a beer. We found this place just walking by and giggled at their decor and went in to try. The waitress was very nice and we enjoyed our lunch.

Enjoyable!

By YearoftheRabbit |

The service is good and location is as well. The drink list and food was decent. It was definitely a great place to make a pit stop!

LOVE This Place

By Dlisa206 |

The bar is friendly, busy and the food is fabulous! Located in the heart of Belltown, a great location for a snack or a meal while on your way to the Pike Place Market or the Space Needle.

Funky joint with great food

By jennD719 |

I love this place. Super funky vibe. Had the mac n' cheese which is so crazy rich it should be illegal. SO good. Beer selection is good.

Nice watering hole, XLNT food!

By David R |

Hole in the Wall. Excellent food! Had shrimp linguine, fine light draft beer. Food was five stars, service was XLNT,! Five O'Clock on a Wednesday, so traffic was light. Can't say enoth about the quality of the food;

Interesting food, interesting beer, and very relaxed

By Iain A |

After a day doing touristy things this was a serendipitous discovery. After day one we decided to avoid the PIke Place Market area and enjoyed rambling around Bell Town - good restaurants and beer joints; this one was delightful. The staff were great and didn't pressure us to move on as we slowly finished out beers whilst reading and people watching. My chicken mango salad was unusual and tasty, ideas for home experimentation here. The wife's blackened chicken caesar disppeared rapidly. There was a good choice of beers including a couple of locals which we tried and decided we needed seconds to truly appreciate.

Interesting as all get out!

By David R |

Across the street from El Gaucho where we were staying. Varied menu, great prices, good service, food was well prepared and presented. A variety of beers that we knew nothing about and the server helped choose those that paired well with what we were eating.

Great Grub!

By LauraLeeMoe |

Great location and great food! We got the hamburgers and fries! Delicious!! Service was pretty good, too! We went on a week night and it wasn't too busy!

Cool history (Pearl Jam ate here), surprisingly good food

By zracoon |

We came here to eat where Pearl Jam and a bunch of the early grunge groups ate, without concern for the food. The food however ended up being really good, and reasonably priced. If you're a Pearl Jam/Grunge fan, you should definitely eat here, but even if you're not, it's still pretty great food.

Delicious Brunch in Belltown

By Amy L |

Came here on a Sunday morning in April, right when they opened around 9am. The two of us ordered the pork tacos and the mango french toast and split them so we could both enjoy something savory and sweet. It was a great choice - both entrees were really good. The atmosphere is fun, they had great music playing, and we sat up front by the window to see passers-by.

Great Bloody Mary

By Matt T |

Great little bar on 1st Ave with a nice atmosphere and one of the better Bloody Mary's I have had. The bartenders were awesome and very helpful on what was going on in Seattle.

Excellent street corner Pub/Cafe

By HappilyRetired |

We were worn out after 4 days in Seattle and wanted a simple and relaxing late afternoon meal. After checking options on TripAdvisor we chose Cyclops and it was perfect and near to where we were staying. We had drinks while studying the menu choices and the drinks were delicious however weaker than my preference. We order the nachos and the grilled salmon tacos and shared both plates. The nachos were Over the Top Great. The tacos were very good. Would definitely return again.

Really friendly and great service

By Emma D |

We went here a couple of times and the bartender was really friendly and sitting at the bar we met some lovely locals and got some great advice. We only had desserts but they were lovely and the cocktails were nice too.

One eye on quality food drink amd atmosphere.

By Dan P |

The food you find in a bar is not what you get here. We where quite impressed by the quality of food that comes out of this kitchen.

Nice ambience, friendly service

By Peter F |

I had a quick drink and a couple of tacos here. The space is inviting- more of a bar/bistro than restaurant. They serve good wine by the glass, and know their stuff. The bite was spicy, well put together. Hit the spot!

Cyclops Good For Diners with One or Two Eyes

By Kenpasha |

Not for the first time, a friend and I were running down 1st Ave heading for the concert hall, but we needed to have some dinner first. As the homies around Seattle know, Belltown has a pile of eateries and bars on 1st and 2nd Avenues. I had gone by Cyclops (I thought it was a Greek place, okay, call me a dummy---) at least fifty times, but last night, after peering at the menu hung up to the right of the door, and seeing a bunch of Mexican items and your basic burgers, we went in for a quick bite. I had 12 oz. of an IPA I believe was called P---- Explosion--no, I'm not kidding. And you thought it was a Russian band, right? Anyway, the brew was good. In addition I had a quick chicken quesadilla, which was not too big, and that's what I wanted last night. My old violin teacher Sara had a burrito which was about the size of a Toyota RAV 4, she could only eat half of it, and we gave the other half to an unhoused neighbor who was sitting on a doorstep down the street. The server was prompt and alert and we were both pleased with the eats. Certainly recommend the place. And bon appétit!

Great 90s Music

By Lisa M |

Excellent food and drinks! great prices! The waitress was really nice even when I did not know which white wine I wanted, she brought out three tasters until I pick the one I wanted. Excellent service. Great atmosphere.

Dinner Spot

By Raquel M |

My family of four stopped in for dinner. My husband had a steak sandwich, I had a pulled pork sandwich and we swapped halves of the sandwich so we could try both. My 15 year old daughter had their macaroni and cheese. We had been in Canada all day so we were there pretty late, the pulled pork tasted like it had been sitting all day (because it probably had been). In fairness, I was too full to even try the steak sandwich but my husband said it was ok. I did try some of my daughter's macaroni and cheese, it was a dinner dish with bacon. It was very good, I wish I would have ordered that. Staff was friendly. With all the other choices near Pike Place Market I'd recommend heading over there instead. We chose this place for proximity alone as it was across the street from our condo rental.

Hip decor, good food, friendly staff

We are longtime Seattleites who rediscovered Cyclops recently after the pandemic. The decor is cool - leather booths, lights, art etc - and the food and drinks are good and reasonably priced. We are glad they survived the pandemic because the owners go way back in their commitment to the Belltown area of Seattle. Give it a try if you're from out of town. Vegan alternatives. Try the little polenta pups!

Reasonably tasty breakfast. Haven't been in a long while though.

fun street level patio

we just went for a drink when we stayed at the Ace Hotel. We got great service with very friendly staff. Loved the patio at street level!!

Damn good burger. Fun atmosphere.

We were walking around and decided to sit here because they had sidewalk tables that were not in the sun. The menu looked great and we ordered two very yummy burgers. I had the muy bueno or something like that and my wife had one with blue cheese. Both were excellent. The atmosphere is fun. 50's diner chairs meets velvet Elvis paintings. Good beer choices. Reasonable prices. I was very pleased.

Lackluster

The setting and feel of the place was great, but the food was your average run of the meal fare. A little pricey, $60 for a 4 person lunch.

Straight up great bar

We had just arrived in the city and took a recommendation from the Lonely Planet for Seattle to choose a location for our post-flight meal and drinks. The beer was great - you cannot go wrong with draft local IPAs. On the first night we both had burgers, which were moist and tasty. We then opted to return on our final night in Seattle, when my father ordered the blackened salmon (which was very acceptable) and I ordered the fish and chips, which was disappointing. Small pieces in panko breadcrumb batter was a novel approach, but they were overcooked and the batter tasted burned and was a bit too crunchy to eat, which let down the fish unfortunately. It is for this reason that I simply cannot stretch to a 4/5... However, my coleslaw was of a far better standard than my father’s - how bizarre!

Pretty average

Recommended both on here and in the cities lonely planet, but not sure of its general appeal. The customer service was good, the food very, very average, nothing to write home about. There was nobody there when we stopped by for dinner, so far from a great atmosphere. Small area outside to sit when weathers good. No issue with customer service.

Rude! Rude! Rude! Trust Me!!!!!

We tried to visit this bar on 9-17-18. We were visiting Seattle, and Cyclops was right across the street from our condo. In our hometown, there are still a few places that allow smoking in bars. I am unable to be around smoking due to health reasons, so I called to make sure smoking was NOT allowed. Rather than just saying yes or no, the lady answering the phone hung up on me four times!!!! Seriously, the first time I asked she slammed the phone down. The second time she answered, "Smoking Area!" The third time she just slammed the phone down, and the fourth time she was laughing as she hung up once again. My husband was so upset...We walked across the street to ask for a manager, and the bartender told us they didn't have one. The woman answering the phone could have cared less when my husband politely asked her why she felt the need to hang up on us four times. Her response was, "Well, I have had a long day and just don't need this! Anyone in Seattle knows smoking is not allowed." Well, that may be in Seattle, but we did not know that otherwise we would not have bothered her with a simple question. She became argumentative, so we told her we would go elsewhere, which is exactly what we did! We went across the street to a fun loving place where the employees were more than happy to smile and be nice. The bartender felt so badly for how we had been treated that he actually gave us two drinks on the house. Believe me, there are SO MANY OTHER PLACES to visit in beautiful Seattle. Please don't waste your time. I sent an email to the owner, and as of yet have not received a response and don't expect one.

Good food. Great Art.

I came here after hearing good reviews. The food was decent but I especially liked the artwork on the walls. This place has a neat vibe.

Five Stars!

The cyclops is “eye-catching!” A classic, old time Establishment for the serious thirsty peddler. The food goes beyond ideal “hangover eats”... It is prepared with flavors, textures, freshness that should be rated five stars! Joe our server Runs his bar like a observant aficionado. The Field roast burger with Chao, blew my “vegan” Mind! The polenta cubes another exemplary Example of attention to detail with crispness And creaminess all at once. Don’t let your eyes deceive you with the seedy Location, it’s all good! Cyclops is where a third eye is better than two!!!

Great food, eclectic atmosphere

Dinner outing with elementary kids. Our waitress, Kristen, made the experience fun and enjoyable. Food and mixed drinks were great!
