Excellent beers and food...but loud

By Amy M |

This was a great place to grab a beer and delicious dinner. The venue is geared towards a younger college crowd. Environment was dark and loud but the choices of brews and meal made up for it.

Brunch

By Kiki |

Service was great omelet was ok potatoes were cold! Got a dessert sampler that truly was not worth $9 no tea because machine was taken away from them! Maybe it was and off day will try it again sometime

Delicious!

By Ashley L |

Definitely visit this place- food was great, good service, awesome outdoor seating. We ate here twice during our 4-day stay!

Great local, casual pub, sports bar, etc

By SportsMindedGuy |

This place to me is perfect. Nice casual indoor / outdoor seating. Popular before and after college football game. Fire pit outside. Great staff and bartenders. Fish n Chips one of my favorites but now I am preferring the fried lobster BLT - really, really good. House beet is Sweetwater which is hard to beat. Better than the average sports bar/pub food. Keep up the good work. Maybe bring back the calamari app, though?

Great dinner & drinks before a show

By jenned17 |

This was a great spot for drinks and dinner before a show at the nearby Fox Theater. We ate on the dog-friendly patio and enjoyed cold drinks and delicious food. Business really started picking up around 5:45, but we were able to get our order in and the food came pretty quickly. I enjoyed the Red Lemonade cocktail, which was refreshing, and the buffalo chicken sandwich and fries were hot and flavorful. The menu has something for everyone and the servers were friendly. I'll remember this one and be back!

Fun and Lite

By rjhope9 |

If you need a quick midtown area stop for some drinks or some food, might as well try here. They get super busy and their porch fills quick so come early. But they have the cooper mugs one needs for a good crisp mule!!!

Fun little bar.

By bathos13 |

We enjoyed our visit - even though the cold blew right through the large glass windows. Good bar type food and decent beer selection. Nice and clean atmosphere. Friendly staff.

friendly local hang out

By David B |

I love to eat at the bar here and just watch TV or other people. Ethan and the bar staff are so friendly and attentive. Lots of locals, trivia night, the outdoor seating is nice, there's often a fire going in the fire pit in the cooler months. Brunch is also great here. This place is usually open on Christmas even until 8 and Christmas evening, if you need to get out of the house and meet friends. Lots of beer options

Awful

By CaptTrouble |

We walked here after the David Byrne concert at Symphony Hall. I was told that there have been neighborhood noise complaints and it did not disappoint: it was LOUD. It was after 10:30 and we found two stools at the tall outdoor table. We were a couple of spots down from two men who were trashed. As a matter of fact, I think everybody there was pretty much trashed. Tuesday night. We sat for awhile and were finally approached by a server who gave us menus. We put in a drink order: a Bloody Mary ($7) and a Sapphire Tonic ($10). The gin & tonic was flat. We ordered a Chicken Tenders with Fries ($13) to split. It took a long time for the drinks, a very long time for the food. The food was over-cooked and had sat for awhile as it wasn't even warm. My husband had to really work at getting our server back so I could order a Stoli martini up ($10). It was ok. It was even harder to pay. Service was VERY POOR. Server not too friendly either. I wouldn't bother.

Disappointing experience

By TarHeel |

I was visiting Atlanta and a friend suggested this place since it was near my hotel. We meet for a late lunch at 2 p.m. on a Sunday. My friend and his date had a few questions about the menu and the waitress acted all bothered an inconvenienced. My first choice of beer wasn't available so I was trying to say the name of my second choice and she just said, "Yeah, i know what you want" and walked off. Food was okay but a bit overpriced in my opinion. Worst part was when I got my credit card receipt and noticed they overcharged me. I have the paper receipt right in front of me and it does not match what showed up on my statement. Will not recommend this place.

Cypress Street Pint & Plate: A Love Story

By Hope |

Open late. Enviable ambience. Perfect location. I've eaten here twice, once at 11 p.m. at a high top table on the patio while watching surfing championships on the outdoor TV, and once with my boyfriend inside at a booth at about 9 p.m. The patio was very laid-back. I ordered the house red and the Krispy Kreme doughnut burger and fries, which was so delicious that I cried. Every bite was better than the last. It sounds weird, but trust me: it was best burger I've ever put in my mouth, and I'm an all-American girl who's put a few burgers down the hatch. The fries were not the best I've had, but no matter. The wine was decent; I only ordered house because I was on a budget. However, the selection of wine, beer, and cocktails is incredibly vast at this cosy little gastropub. The second time I visited, I ordered a mojito (the Georgia Peach, or a similar name) and the Pickleback Burger. Both were worth every dime. My boyfriend ordered fish and chips, which I tasted, and they were excellent. Not too salty, not too heavy; the slaw and tartar sauce were well-balanced and lightened up the dish in a way that's unusual with pub grub. The only issue on this second visit was the volume. We sat in the room next to the bar, which had unfortunate acoustics and suboptimal lighting. I think if we had sat outside or at the bar, it would have been much better. My recommendation: sit on the patio, give yourself some time to peruse the expansive drink menu, and get yourself one helluva burger.

Looking forward to my next visit

By S S |

While visiting my son at Georgia Tech, we enjoyed Cypress Street twice - once for lunch on the patio and once for a take-out dinner. The food and service are wonderful. My son's personal favorite is the Krispy Kreme burger. Mine was the brussel sprouts. Since these might not be eveyone else's types of yummies, I can also recommend the Philly sandwich, Greek salad, pub fries, and lamb gyro. This will 100% be a go-to restaurant when we're in town!!

Amazing Find...!

By NewThomas |

So we got out of the Fox Theater after an amazing Vampire Weekend concert and I was craving a Burger & Fries.. asked the desk clerk where to go and he said the Vortex was the only place open.. walked about 5 blocks to find they’re closed for plumbing issues.. asked around for another place and someone suggested Cypress.. so we walked another couple blocks to happily find them open and BUSY..! Turns out they were understaffed (only two servers covering the entire inside & outdoor patio which was packed) Sarah was our server and she was kicking butt and taking names.. I’m in F&B and I know hustle when I see it and Sara is a fricking Rockstar..! She took our order with grace and kindness under pressure: we order a featured burger that came with pimiento cheese and we opted for the “Pub Fries” option plus their Mango BBQ wings... Wings came first.. yummm! Burger came next, Sarah had it split for us like she read our mind and.... This Burger was AMAZEBALLZ delicious. Perfectly cooked and crazy delicious. We moaned with delight eating it, happy that it was too noisy for others to hear us as we both had a moment while enjoying every... single... bite! We asked for a great burger and we got so lucky to stumble upon this diamond of a place. Thank you Sarah

Tasty, good service, nice decor

By smithsl1011 |

Enjoyed pretzel appetizer with excellent mustard sauce. Lunch spot with plenty of available beers, a variety of salad options with different proteins, and salads accompanied by crispy fries. Fresh produce and a nice atmosphere contributed to a pleasant experience.

Loved it

By Chris |

Cool place and very popular. Big range of drinks to choose from and table service provided too. Can chill outside with it being warm.

Get the Sweet Potato nachos

By Cathy4042013 |

Cool outdoor patio!! The sweet potato nachos and the smoked tomato grits are the best we've ever had! Service is good. Great beer selection. The music was too loud inside, but the outdoor patio was wonderful. Might be our favorite Midtown restaurant.

The Sublime Doughnut Burger Is Gluttonous Goodness!!!

By Melgrant300 |

A friend recommended this place for beers and so after sitting on the beautiful patio with the fire lamps we ended up deciding to eat. We both tried the sublime doughnut burger and it was an unexpected surprise that we ordered another to go! If you're not on a diet and want an insane burger then this is the place to try!!!

Great pregame visit

By camoore8 |

We met friends there before the Clemson /Georgia Tech football game. We got there early, as we wanted to be sure to get to the game on time. The place quickly got crowded, but our waitress (Julia) was great and worked hard to get our orders out correctly and quickly. She kept our beers full. We ordered several orders of the southern egg rolls. They were delicious! Filled with pulled pork and collards and fried crisp - awesome! We also shared the Philly cheese steak and it was very good. When it was time to close out, Julia got all four parties' checks correct. We were all pleased with our food and drinks. Would definitely go there again. And the Tigers won! Go Tigers!

Good Bar Food & Excellent Service

By ATLconsultant |

Great patio and definite neighborhood hang out bar, after work. Be forewarned: most of the crowd is in the 21-30 range. It's a younger place but not a hipster bar by a long shot. Just a nice neighborhood pub. The hummus plate we had for app was HUGE and had a ton of stuff on it. Fried mushrooms also HUGE (say with Trump expression) and pretty tasty. Their $3 pints of Sweetwater IPA is da bomb!

Good for Brunch.

By PawPaw57 |

Had a very nice brunch at the Cypress St Pint and Plate. Staff friendly, and very helpful with suggestions. I had eggs Benedict with jalapeno slaw, and my companion had buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. Both dishes were served hot. and were delicious. We will return.

Loved it!

By CB6547 |

We were looking for a place to eat after a game at Georgia Tech. This is a fun restaurant tucked into side street. Great atmosphere (loud and fun). The food was great! I had the salmon and a good draft beer selection. I would definitely go back.

Fish and chips

Great pub scene!!! Luv the atmosphere! Ga Tech students on bikes. Walking distance from Renaissance.. great food and not too expensive. Outside seating also.

Comfortable bar in midtown ATL

By Jim W. |

I came here with two colleagues for an after-work mid-week happy hour. There had originally been 3 options but due to timing (one wasn't open) and unexpected circumstances (one was closed due to a private party), we wound up here. The order had been mostly random, so this was not actually our 3rd choice. They are located at the back of one of the arms of the Biltmore building. They have a large patio, but it was chilly and dripping rain when we arrived (after 3:30 p.m.) so we opted to sit inside. The interior is dark, with some TV screens spread around. There is a large U-shaped bar dominating the center of the space with booths along the surrounding walls. We opted to sit at the bar. The staff was very welcoming. They serve food, but we did not order any so I cannot comment on it. The best deals seemed to be on some house-branded beers on draft, which only cost $3. They also have other options (bottled beers and glasses of wine) in the $6 - $7 range. It was about half full when we arrived but nearing capacity when we left around 6 p.m. On a nice day, the patio would be a good option. We walked here, so I'm not sure about parking. There was a public garage next door, but I don't know how much it cost. Based on my limited experience, this seemed like a good choice if you were looking for a bar to hang out in for a while in Midtown.

Delicious Food

By NorthStar136198 |

I have to say, we LOVED the food here. A group of five of us shared appetizers, and bites of our entrees. The sweet potato nachos are absolutely delicious! The venue is clean and has a 'hip' vibe, but can get noisy when busy.

More like 3.5 or so....

By GulfCoastGuy |

Cool vibe joint in midtown with just enough going on to stay hip and relevant. Decent draft lineup and quite a few cans/bottles as well. Classic rock on the speakers. A few TV's with sports. Dark at bar. Spacious dining area in and out. Menu good but not stellar to and I was starving. Grabbed a Philly steak with yam fries and a collard side. Served in less than five minutes but above average fare. Tried a Berliner Weisse out of Athens and then an IPA from Orpheus. Still cannot grow into IPA. Ordering the dessert donut now and did get my free high five for checking in. Would return and try donut burger. Bar tender a cool dude.

Rude wasn’t on the menu

By MissyKelly |

I was visiting some friends at Ga Tech and was looking for a restaurant in close proximity to the campus which is how I ended up here. Super casual restaurant, no hostess to seat you rather it’s seat yourself, there’s a full bar, and outdoor dining options in the cold months due to the overhead heaters. The food was basic and the server was rude! I had the pretzel and brownie. Every time I asked her for something she seemed bothered except when I needed change to leave a tip. I would not recommend this place. I will not be back.

Good atmosphere / vibes

By Trent T |

Great for drinks with friends or a date.. slow service but they were busy and they were definitely working hard. We enjoyed our time there.

Great place for any occasion

By Sela-Bay M |

Love Cyrpess Street, it's truly great for any occasion and anyone's budget. The only downside, for me, is there aren't any healthy options. Granted, this is a pub feel so I shouldn't expect healthy options...but otherwise amazing place to hangout.

So GOOD!

By Renee |

A few of us from work stopped by here one evening and would 100% return. We all enjoyed our food. I had the Sublime Doughnut Burger and fries. The entire meal was very good. Others had the fried chicken and Mac and Cheese. I tasted of theirs and I couldn't decide what was better. The burger or chicken. The Mac and Cheese was homemade and I wished I had ordered some. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was the drinks. I had a banana bread beer. It came in a can and didn't really taste like banana's. The others said their drinks were weak but tasty. Over all this is still a great place for pub food.

Great find!

By Aubrea C |

The food is really good. The waitress was friendly. And the service was good. You will spend a decent amount for lunch(we came in on Saturday at 130pm so brunch was still available). I’ll come back when visiting my son at GA Tech

Excellent!

By abndoc7 |

The restaurant quickly accomodated our group of 8. They have a great outdoor dining area, though we chose to eat inside. Service was excellent despite how busy they were. The menu is extensive and offers some interesting items. We all thoroughly enjoyed our selections and would definitely return again. And again.

Krispycreme Burger!!!

By Michelle P |

Great to experience this hidden gem, great outdoor seating area, and try the krispycreme burger. Sounds ridiculous, and it is ridiculously delicious! Served with great hand cut fries too.

Very Fun Midtown Food & Drink Spot

By Rob S |

This place is unique and FUN! Needless to say due to its proximity to Georgia Tech, it is very popular with the student and professional community. If you look under 40, be prepared to show ID! The place is located on a quiet side street about a 5 minute walk from the Midtown MARTA stop. The first thing you will notice at the corner location will be the popular outdoor tables. Heaters are provided for chilly nights. I chose the air conditioned inside in humid Atlanta. I ate here twice on this visit: brunch and dinner. The interior is warm and inviting with a heavy presence of wood. Almost like a rec room with a very cool bar in the middle. Plenty of light comes in the large windows. Affable bartenders will happily explain the large beer selection and food menu. One signature dish combining savory & sweet is the Sublime Burger (pic below). A bacon cheddar burger between 2 Sublime doughnuts...outstanding and the combination works! For brunch I had an incredibly huge & tasty breakfast burrito (pic below). You really can't go wrong with a stop here while in Midtown. My suggestion is to go at off hours as I've walked past at peak times and the place is teeming with people. Great place...Enjoy!

Great food and service

By joe P |

Thanks to Darrien J who decided to give this place a bad review yet never went inside. I had my ID out and ready and was welcomed in and thanked for doing so. I told Laura the bartender that I was starving. She recommended the special of the day. It was bolognese. It was delicious. My point is, when a place has great reviews. Look at the ones that scored them low. There is usually a reason that us unrelated to the food. For the money and friendliness. I can give them a 4. The sauce was missing a little something. Just not sure what? Maybe salt. I

"We Got Lucky"

By imoran |

While walking the Georgia Tech campus for the first time, we came upon this busy little hotspot. The white bean burgers were great .

Sublime donut burger

By AMY D |

Ya have to try it if you've never had one. And if you've had one, you'll want another. It's not overly sweet, and I really got the flavor of the patty, cheese and bacon. It was a great combo! Only down side was trying to keep donuts from breaking apart. Also, the staff was amazing, kind and cool, the kind of people I would hang out with on the weekend.

Delicious and fun ambiance

By Michele D |

I forgot the name of the exceptional hamburger that I ate, but it had a donut bun. I thought it sounded strange. (I was glad that It didn't include any frosting.) The sweetness of the bun complemented the savory of the burger. It was juicy and delicious. I usually order burgers med rare, but had medium and it was perfectly cooked. The fries were quite good as well as the locally brewed beer that I had. We ate out on the patio and it was just a wonderful experience. I highly recommend stopping here to eat!

$3 pints all day everyday of Sweetwater IPA are the best deal in Atlanta...

By Jan_from_Atlanta |

This always busy bar and restaurant in Midtown Atlanta has a large (heated) outdoor space and a very dark and very loud dining room. The food is good; indeed it has improved the last couple of beers. You can wash that food down with the best beer deal in the city; Sweetwater IPA (see house IPA on menu) for how much? For real ? Yes ...for $3 a pint !

Do it

By David D |

Here for convention at Georgia Tech hotel and convention center. Asked local for non-corporate place to "get a meal that I couldn't get anywhere else in the world." I was directed here. Easy walk from convention center hotel. Exactly what I asked for. Great selection of on-tap craft beers. While I did not partake of the double donut burger, food was good. Service was ok, just have to realize this is a college hangout not a five star restaurant and adjust expectations accordingly. Be prepared to hang out. Feels like College hangout but mixed crowd. My grey hairs not uncomfortable at all.

Kids eat too

By Mom2threeboys |

Wasn't allowed to even be seated even though there was at least 10 outdoor tables available because we had teens with us and it was 6:30. Apparently kids only eat if its before 5:00. Anyway....... too many other restaurants within walking distance of this one with just as nice ambiance and much friendlier staff. Won't try again with or without kids with us.

Fun Neighborhood Pub

By ATL_Jacket |

I really liked the collegiate atmosphere around Cypress Street P&P. It was very welcoming and the service was great. I came in on a weekend, so they were serving off of their brunch menu. There weren't a lot of lunch foods available, so I got the standard cheeseburger. It was okay, but a little plain. Not spectacular. It looks like the lunch/dinner menu would be a better bet in the future. Overall, a must-see if you're in the area!

Good Food Lively Atmosphere

By John a |

This is a lively bar in the GA Tech area serving good food. I was solo so sat at the bar, but there are a number of tables and outdoor seating. Service was laid back but attentive. Based on the conversations overheard with the bartender I could tell a lot of people are regulars which is a good sign. I had the sublime donut combo - a burger with a donut for a bun and ice cream between two donuts for dessert. The donuts were not super sweet so it was a surprisingly good combo with the burger. Washed them down with a pint of draft Guinness. Would definitely go back.

Great space indoors and out with energetic atmosphere

By SeatOfMyPntsTravelr |

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. Since we only stopped in for drinks I will have to return and try the food. Very popular place on a Wednesday evening for trivia night.

Feel like a local even for first time visitors

By Elizabeth W |

This bar and grill has a wonderful "local" feel. In addition to ample bar seating and booths/tables inside, the outside patio/beer garden was full and hopping the day we stopped in for a late lunch. Great beer selection, daily specials, and a menu that will satisfy you for anything from a burger to leg of lamb.

YOU MUST COME HERE!!!

By ManofWysdom J |

I went here on the Peachtree Food Tour and the burger from this place was simply amazing! You have to come here and try their special burger made from a donut. There's nothing like it!

Hidden Treasure Within the Streets of Atlanta

By Sigi Cayel |

This place is by far one of my favorites! There is street parking directly by it, but it is free after a certain time on weekdays. Sundays, parking is free anywhere in Atlanta. The patio that you walk into is beautiful with a fire pit going at all times which makes it nice to sit by it if it's a little chilly. You pretty much seat yourself and then get ready for some deliciousness! They have some really good burgers and craft beers. They have tropicalia, but it is not on the menu so simply ask. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you have higher of chances of getting it. On Mondays, they have $2 tacos, so check out their deals and happy hour before you go! The service is okay so make sure you know what you want and order it all at once so that you can just enjoy your time and not wait around for them to take your order. Overall food is amazing though and the place is really cute and great for social gatherings. The patio is quieter as well since they tend to play louder music on the insider.

A great place for a bite and a brew.

By robert m |

Sat outside under the heaters and near the firepit. That provided a great atmosphere. Nice selection of beers not only on tap but in the bottle as well. All around the food was excellent. My wife loved her buffalo chicken sandwich and I enjoyed my chicken gyro. House side salad was very fresh. Nice place to people watch as well.

Local pub with excellent food

By Carmela S |

Local pub near Georgia Tech and Biltmore is a hidden gem with excellent food. I had the December special kale salad topped with grilled salmon. It was a large portion of both. Kale was soft and dressed well. Salmon was buttery soft and crispy on edges. I ate at the bar but would definitely take advantage of the outside patio with heaters if dining with a group.

Nice Chill Spot

By gyos23 |

I've been to this place about 3x and it's a good spot for groups. It's open late and the menu is nice as well.

Ambiance

By edward d |

We love coming here when were in midtown atlanta. The live music outdoor fires and heaters. Inside is very quaint. Although they should get rid of the large dropped wooden ceiling above bar. This place has great food and all the beer on tap that you could want. We've had all of the snacks on the menu and sever entrees they have all been good.

YUM

By me0423 |

Very quiet laid back atmosphere close to G T campus ( not sports bar ) .Enjoyed a sublime donut buger (outstanding!!!) sided with home fries & hard cider.

Awesome service in Midtown Atlanta

By chjocham |

We went to a Georgia Tech football game and arrived a few hours early so we decided to get lunch. About 3 blocks away from the main bookstore (Barnes and Noble) we found this place. To start with, not only did we go here for lunch, we came back hours later for dinner...not because there was no other option, but we enjoyed it so much. The bartender, Dylan, was full on his game attending to everyone without a wasted moment. Service was awesome. The best part, was when we returned, there were two ladies behind the bar giving the exact same service. I also saw three people that were working lunch, also working dinner. There was a ridiculous amount of attentive service and dedication here. For lunch we had the avocado toast which was above average. For dinner I had the philly cheese steak and my wife had the black bean burger. I was very satisfied with the philly and they cooked the broccoli side perfectly. My wife thought the black bean burger was to "beany". I have to say that I agree, which means that black bean was the prominent flavor. It did need some infusion of some other flavor. IT was house made which I would rather have than processed and the texture was great and did not fall apart like many other vegetarian burgers. The drink prices were a bit odd and there must have been something going on that I was not aware of. The beers I would normally buy were 11oz for $8-$9 that would have been 16 oz for 7-8 any where else. The saving grace was their 16oz $3 house beer. ITs pretty good by itself, but great for a $3 beer. This was also a beer place. It looks like a cocktail or possible wine place but...man...the amount of beer I saw getting poured..wow. This place did have a bunch of tv's and while I would not call it a sports bar, all the college games were on and the crowd was sizeable. Since we are somewhat local and a relative goes to GT, I'm thinking that this will be our new go to place.

Terrific neighborhood place in midtown

By PaulK888 |

Great neighborhood place with great patio and drink/food selection. I stopped in just for some beers, and sat with some terrific folks who live in the area and had a really nice evening out. Enjoyed the patio. Great place

A neighborhood gem

By David B |

We don't live in Atlanta, but every time we are there we try to grab lunch or dinner at this neighborhood bar/restaurant. It is on Cypress St. Behind the Biltmore building. Everything on the menu is great, and there really is a wonderful neighborhood feel. Great selection of beers to choose from and if you tell them you have a movie or show at The Fox they will do their best to get your food out quickly. This is not a quiet place, but is is a very good place.

Cypress street pint and plate a must visit.

By John J Nelson |

On Cypress street in a trendy midtown district that was dilapidated in the 70s and 80s. Fantastic burgers. Their mainstay is served on a sweet sublime burger and is phenomenal. Cooked to perfection. Well paired with Apple hard cider. The fries are typical. Nothing to write home about. Good walking area wasn't harassed by bums near here.

Lively

By sweetapplej |

Went here with friends and really liked it. The service is very good and the place is not huge and filled with blaring TVs. They were on the wall though, perhaps on the weekends they get turned on. Three of us go the chicken pot pie, which was delicious and not huge, just right. The fourth got the Marsala pasta dish and said it was also very good.

Wow, what a burger!!

By cmo03LU |

The donut burger was just out of this world. Great selection of beers, loud environment, not very kid-friendly, but we made it work. It is a seat-yourself setup with some strange seating setups. But great food. The pretzel bread is AWESOME!

Delicious!

By Naima1922 |

Great food! Excellent for meeting up with friends after work or on the weekend. Interior is small. They need to fix the A.C..

Sunday lunch outside

By AverageJoe55 |

Patio here made for a great dining experience on a Sunday at lunch. Server staff was friendly and attentive. Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Their fried brussel sprouts were exceptional and not to be missed. Would definitely return but prefer to sit outside on a nice day as the setup is quiet on a side street.

Sweet and Savory

By ImAGlobalTraveler |

Gotta have the burger with donut bun! Delicious burst of goodness for those who enjoy the yin and yang of sweet and savory at the same time!

Modern Restaurant with good food

By butoloco |

The reason why we visit this Restaurant was the sublime doughnut burger...and he was great. I ordered him with fries and a cup of piemento cheese. My girlfriend had the buffalo wing Sandwich with fries. All dishes were very tasty. I love the sublime doughnut burger and the piemento chesse. If you are very hungry, you have to order him with fries or two of him :) And they also have big choice of different beers. If we're in Atlanta anytime, we'll come back.

Krispy Kreme Burger!!!

By ArmyMAJT |

If you love burgers or Krispy Kreme doughnuts than you must stop by here. Its the best of both worlds. The name of the burger is actually called the Sublime burger and its awesome. Its a burger between 2 krispy kreme doughnuts instead of a traditional bun with cheese and a pickle. It has a bar feel on the inside. The inside isn't that large but the patio has plenty of space. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The service was great. I will be stopping back in soon and would highly recommend this place.

Great place for Sunday brunch while catching a NFL game

By KaiDogLaGrange |

Plenty of great brunch choices from excellent omlets to heartier meals such as burgers/fries. Mimosas are available and very reasonable. Plenty of TV screens for catching the games. Enjoy.

Great Burgers

By Kevin B |

Had the Cypress burger, very tasty and huge. Fries that came with it were also very good. Excellent service and did not ace to wait long for food to arrive. Definitely recommended.

good food and drinks

By a b |

This is a great place to spend an afternoon - large outside seating area along with seating inside with tables/booths/large bar. VERY large beer selection including many craft beers (some locally sourced). Blackened chicken salad, black and blue salad, and smoked beef brisket plate are all good selections. Can get loud inside during happy hour.

Amazing Burger

By WorkFourTravel |

Everyone in our group had the Krispy Kreme burger and absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go back for another.

Fun dinner outing

By Grace B |

I have now visited Cyrpess Street 3 times in the last few weeks. It's the perfect place to meet friends for dinner and drinks, especially if the weather is good and you can sit outside. The restaurant is first come first serve, so you have to be flexible about seating preference or wait time depending on how crowded it is. They have a large list of beers on tap, and their house beer is only $3 for a 16 oz pour. We have had a lot of fun here, and I definitely recommend it for a dinner outing.

Nice casual bar

By plbrowny |

Dropped in here late on a Sunday night following a few heavy days, looking for a quiet drink and some food - and wasn't let down. Great beer list, and a good food menu. Service was strong.

Fun Vibe! Typical Bar Food.

By SunshineGirl2929 |

Net, net, I would come here again for drinks and maybe snacks, but not for a meal. There was a fun vibe. The service was average. The food was OK - bar quality - not gastro-pub quality.

Went on the Peachtree Food Tour - AWESOME burgers and beer

By Betzy H |

I loved the atmosphere - an outdoor area that looked very relaxing and welcoming and an indoor bar that was busy, but fun. We tasted the burger and a beer on the food tour - holy! It's a life changing experience!

Great Food, Beer and Service

By Henry D |

Turkey Pot PIe, Fish and Chips all are very tasty and pair that with a good beer selection and a nice space. You get a good place to grab a meal and a pint.

Thanksgiving Saved

By manup47 |

Family together for turkey day. Tradition is we travel to our son's and daughter in law's house on T day. Then they, her parents and we go out for dinner. Surprisingly many places serve great dinners on t day. Placed we picked stated only 20m wait. Turns out 2hours. My resourceful son hits the smart phone app. Finds above place. Yes, will be open in 15min but only have bar food and bar. We drive and park. The waitress is waiting at the door. Outdoor fire on, games on outdoor TV. Fantastic food. Spring rolls with bbq and collards inside. better than turkey. Sweet potato fry nachos. yummy. Chili great. Craft beers galore. Now new tradition. Forgo upscale on t day. Hit the gastropub at 6p. Winner winner, NOT turkey dinner. Better.

College hangout

By Bertha55 |

We went to Cypress Street and Plate because hotel recommended it and it was a quick walk from the hotel. The patio was packed. We couldn't easily identify the entrance and had to ask one of the patrons were to go in. The inside was pretty crowded too. We had to search for an open table and seat ourselves. Server arrived within 5 minutes. Food was ok. Fish and chips and chicken quesadillas were typical bar food. Very loud in this restaurant. Not a place for a couples date if you want to talk to each other. Probably would not visit again if in the area.

Casual spot for a good burger

By kf17020 |

Arrived just before the lunch crowd so we were able to sit immediately. By 12pm it was completely full. Definitely worth the visit. Nice beer and food selection. I tried the pickleback burger and was very happy with the choice. It was well cooked and had a great taste. Fries were average but probably would have been better if they weren't room temperature when they arrived. Overall, good place for lunch and I would definitely come back.

Fun Place - Great Late Night Crowd

By Mark B |

The Cypress is just one of those fun bar restaurants where the emphasis should be on the bar angle. But the food isn't bad either. People go here to grab some drinks with friends. Couple, small groups or large groups they can really handle justs about anything that walks in the door. A great patio makes it a perfect place to catch a beer (nice beer selection by the way) with friends. This is a very relaxed placed that caters mostly to the under 35 crowd. So if your looking for a fun place, good setting to meet your friends go to the Cypress Street Pint and Plate.

Great Food, Beer and Patio

By stp0707 |

Head to this place for fantastic food, beer and warm summer nights. Of particular note are the burgers, which have very good meat and are always thick and juicy. It's great to people watch here, and it's often packed. The interior of this restaurant is loud, very loud, so it's best if you come with someone whose voice will carry over a lot of noise. The service here is generally good, although it was stellar several years ago. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic food, great beer selection, good atmosphere

By Larry W |

This place is in walking distance to a lot of hotels, it has great food, great beer, great cocktails, good prices, good outdoor seating area. It's hip but not pretentious.

Good food

By Carol A |

This place can be loud and crowded but we visited on a week night. It has a firepit outside which is quite nice. We found a table inside. The menu was quite varied and I found several things I'd like to try on future visits. The food was good, service was quick, the waitress was attentive and helpful. What more could you ask for?

NYE fun!

By Stephanie A |

Fantastic amazing food!!! Husband had the sublime burger. He loved it! Fries were super hot and fresh. Guinness on tap. Doesn't get better than that. Love the fun music. Chill atmosphere. Great friendly staff. Can't wait to return!

BBQ Eggrolls - Best Thing I Ever Ate, Top Five at Least!

By CactusGary |

I was visiting a friend in Atlanta and this was the first place they took me. No wonder, it's awesome! We went on a Friday at Happy Hour and the place was jamming. We were lucky to grab two stools at the bar as a couple were leaving. The staff, patrons, atmosphere, everything is great. But the food is incomparable! The BBQ Eggrolls are truly one of the top five best things I ever ate!

Casual Pub like atmosphere with an outside courtyard

By tinalee725 |

Here late evening for late eats. Have to say great food...quality food at an extremely reasonable price. Younger crowd...at least younger than me, so 20's-late 30's I'd say although didn't bother me a bit. Watched basketball on the outside tv;'s while eating a great Salmon dish and my friend had an amazing salad. Whiskey good...beer good...what more can you ask for at 10pm when most other restaurants have stopped serving or close on a Monday night? Wait staff also gets a shout out as well as the very friendly bartender, John, I think....lol...he had a beard. It was late...whiskey was involved.

Nice brunch place

By Yulun W |

Two PhD students took me there for brunch during my campus visit today. The weather was nice at noon, so we sat outside. It was very busy, we had to wait a while for our food. Some interesting southern plates were served here, I ordered chilaquiles and sublime doughnut for dessert, which were way more than I could consume, but anyway, I just wanted to try some local food whenever possible. Great place for friends meeting.

Loud, crowded and bland

By Maria G |

Cypress Street Pint & Plate is very loud on a Friday night. There is a bouncer checking if st 8pm. My chicken Marsala pasta was bland. I think they forgot the Marsala cream sauce. My daughter loved her salmon. She said it was packed with flavor. Our waiter was friendly but it was so busy he could barely find menus.

Try the unique cocktail menu!!

By Tica B |

Grabbed a drink and a bite to eat while waiting on my daughter at the Biltmore Ballroom!! Ethan (bartender) has talent and makes an awesome cocktail!! Try the Ginger Lemonade or the Deep South Margarita, to absolutely die for!! Great food and right behind the Biltmore!!

Nice bar, good burgers. Done.

By KiaraHarvey |

Good burger joint with a decent patio and bar scene on any given night of the week. Tried the Pickleback, and it wasn't my favorite due to the batter on the fried pickles, not the burger itself. The patty was cooked properly. Seat yourself!

I love the patio here...

By Sally S |

Fun bar to visit, and pretty good food. I don't think I've had anything there that I didn't like. Good American fare with southern flavor to it. Great neighborhood bar we can walk to - which is nice. The patio is best, especially when it's warm enough (in Hotlanta, that is fairly often.) Don't miss this hidden gem in Atlanta!

Great patio

By BENJAMIN B |

We stopped here for drinks while in town for a conference. The patio is nice and the beer is cold. And where else can you find Genny Light on tap this far south??

Worst experience in ATL

By Charlotte |

Cypress is self proclaimed as a "neighborhood pub." We are in the city of Atlanta and if you are completely unable to switch college football games because TVs are broken and remotes are lost (both intentionally plural) I can't stay. That paired with an incredibly rude wait staff is inexcusable and means I won't be back. The food is good but NOT worth the trouble.

Ok

By Kurt and Tanya Z |

Very busy, slow service. Food was just ok. Many other choices in mid town for a beer and burger, like GB. Over 21 on weekends.

Incredible food

By Shotsie W |

Arriving in Atlanta for the first time and we found this jewel. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the pickle back burger. THE best fish and chips I have ever had as the batter used was so incredibly light and crunchy. My husband likes his burgers rare and they accomplished this perfectly. Definitely worth the trip.

Great food

By Monimoo327 |

Went here for lunch while in Midtown Atlanta. The address is a little deceiving but it wasn't difficult to find. Casual place with a great outdoor area - wish it was warm enough to sit there. Menu is nice - pub food with flair. We had the BBQ egg rolls - these are a must - so good! We also had the pickleback burger, it was delicious and juicy. The fries are fresh cut. We will be back next time in town.

Proper pub

By DeavBBQ |

Good pub food. Table had wings for a starter, house burger, Philly cheesesteak and club sandwich. All large portions and really good. Pimento cheese spread on the club a perfect twist, definitely recommend.

Went after a GT game...CRAZY, but fun!

By Eric D |

This is obviously a favorite spot among GT students to hit after a football game, as my girlfriend and I went there and it was CRAZY BUSY! Having said that, we actually left another place nearby that was a little less busy, but the service was horrible. In spite of the ridiculous number of people at Cypress, the service was solid and nice. We did not eat, but they had a great beer and drink selection and large indoor and outdoor dining areas, plus a bar you can sit at. If you ever want to immerse yourself in the post college football game experience, full of top notch people watching, while having a drink....Cypress Street Pint and Plate is a great place to go!

Best Midtown Experience. Taylor best bartender ever!

By Kyle G |

I cannot express how phenomenal this place is! My husband and I were on vacation for a week in ATL and our visit to Cypress was on our last day in town - boy did we miss out on a gem earlier in our stay. Just a <10 min walk from the Marta Midtown station and located on a quiet street, this beer garden/ restaurant is a great find. The day we visited (not sure if it’s like this everyday) the seating was not host directed so we chose to sit at the bar and were greeted my a friendly bustling bartender. We ordered a couple of beers from her, one of which they were out of as their taps are Craft and rotating, but she was helpful on choosing a different option which was great. We ordered a mushroom appetizer which came out quickly and delicious. The appetizer was a generous portion but as this was our main meal for the day we also ordered a couple of $2 tacos (that’s right - $2!!). We chose chicken tinga style tacos, the Buffalo salad, and the chipotle chicken nachos but honestly we had a hard time deciding between anything on the menu as everything sounded awesome. We were absolutely not expecting the portion size of these options to be as large as they were and we were NOT disappointed. The food was all delicious and on top of the cozy bar seating and lovely patio. To top off an already excellent experience, the staff was downright kick ass. The food came out quickly and correctly and the servers were caring for a large amount of guests efficiently. The best part of our trip was our bartender Taylor though. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a bartender handle her position so well. The bar was full, she was making drinks for the rest of the restaurant as well, taking ToGo orders and maintaining the cleanliness of her workspace. This was all with a friendly demeanor. The bar/kitchen was out of a few things which she expressed her regrets about as it had been a busy weekend (as we well knew). She was great and she cannot be overvalued if my two cents mean anything at all. Please check this place out!!!

Fun pub menu.

By luv4phood |

There were several things that I wanted to order...but I finally settled on the ATL poutine. And, I was just disappointed because it had all the potential to be above average, even great!! How can you go wrong with fries, BBQ, cheese, coleslaw and some dressing on top. But, the handcut fries were rare...they needed to be cooked crisp in order to hold up to all the tasty bites on top. I am looking forward to another visit...up next, the fried chicken.

Try the Sublime Burger!

By FarmerGrrl |

Good service, great atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating. We were there on a chilly day but the heaters made the outdoor area very pleasant.

Give it a try

By TheOpsDoctor |

Good place for a dinner ... maybe the best in the area for quality reasonably priced food. Good beer selection and nice patio.

Won't disappoint

By Tamara B |

We stopped by Cypress Street Pint & Plate on a recommendation and were not disappointed. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was delious. We especially enjoyed the Philly Cheese sandwiches and the Moscow Mule Drinks!

Before Football Game

By gabahatcher |

We met several times friends Labor Day before fooball game. The service was fine but the food was mediocre at best. My salad had dry chicken, my husband had a bland hamburger. His sweet potato waffle fries were tasty. Maybe as a lunch spot during a bus day it would be OK. As a place before Football game.. No.

Great find for patio brunch

By doxielover202 |

The weather was perfect so we wanted a place with outdoor dining and a good brunch menu and Cypress met both of those goals. Nice outside seating area with ample shade. Our server, Josh was very friendly and attentive. I had the Chilaquiles at his suggestion and it was awesome. The mix of flavors really worked and I would definitely recommend it. My husband had the Chicken and Biscuit, which was good. Great patio, delicious food and laid back atmosphere.

Heavenly Hamburger

By Laneyster24 |

Loved the atmosphere! Outside was casual and comfortable for our late weekday lunch! The service was great! Longbow Cider a must! The burger on a grilled doughnut....uh huh! with bacon- YES! The only small negative thing...an occasional whiff of the dumpster-it was 100 feet away...but the cool breeze sent it our way 3 or 4 times. No biggy though! Looooove this place- Go there!!

Good Casual Bar

By TRC123434 |

Nice casual atmosphere, good food. There are a lot of interesting items on the menu, the donut burger, sweet potato waffle fry nachos, BBQ spring rolls, etc. We couldn't decide so shared a variety of food. We left very full. We came for a late dinner, the place was busy. There is some nice outdoor seating.

Good beer selection but mediocre food

By 206SeattleNative |

This bar/restaurant has a good selection and variety of beers however, the food quality was sub-par. We ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer and although it came out lightning fast, it was barely warm. It was either a leftover accident order that they pawned off on us or they premake them and nuke them. It was barely warm and slightly soggy. Tip: It doesn't make it better to stuff it thick with pulled chicken. Getting the right balance of flavors should be more important the sheer size and speed of the food. I would go here to drink but probably wouldn't want to eat here again.

Just the place you want to go for fun and imaginative food

By thorstenveblen |

Great feel to this place, with a combination of happening and casual…Service was excellent but the best was the menu's creative offerings. Do not miss the egg rolls with barbecue and collard greens filling! The brisket was outstanding. I figure it will take about six more visits for me to try all of the dishes I liked. The burgers particularly sounded awesome and can you imagine a brisket chili?

Cool atmosphere. Great beer.

By TBains |

Stopped in for a drink here after dinner. Accommodated our party of 6 quickly. Beer was great, atmosphere was fun!

Good Food but slow service

By Jerry L |

The food we ordered was really good but we found the server to be slow and rushed off his feet. He forgot the sauce and took him a few reminders before we received it. The selection of the food was great and we enjoyed some good local beers as well

Can’t miss brunch

By Sheri L |

I’ve tried to eat at Cypress a few times but it’s always packed. A friend recommended I try brunch. Except for getting trapped in the Biltmore parking deck and needing Security to let me out (try to find street parking), brunch was a good call. I had the 2-egg breakfast with bacon and grits. The grits were loaded with mild cheese and quite good. The bacon, although thick-cut, was crispy. And the biscuit was very good. My companion had the chicken biscuit with fried egg and a side of fresh fruit. He said the chicken was juicy and well seasoned and agreed that the biscuit was light and fluffy and a nice crust. I can’t speak to lunch or dinner but do recommend brunch.

A Good Last Meal

By WayneJV |

We visited this restaurant for a late lunch on the last day of our visit to Atlanta. We heard about the restaurant from a review online that mentioned the famous "donut burger" I tried it and it was very good. My wife tried the donut as well but had a dessert, the donut with ice cream instead. She likely her meal too. The testaurant is definitely off the beaten path so you really have to be looking for it to find it.

Great Girls Night Out at Cypress

By Cheri S |

Great drinks & bar food. The place was packed on a Friday night but service was pretty good. Great atmosphere and music. Would definitely return again.

Great food and service!

By bev1060 |

We arrived for an evening meal on a cool spring evening. They had a fire burning and heaters outside. We had a beer and burger with salad. Service was great Food was wonderful. We went on Saturday night but got a seat I will return if we come again!

Fabulous vibe and location!! Brunch so-so.

By foodwinesoccer |

Adored this pub with its vibe, perfect location, great outdoor patio for pre-show food or watching football. It was my first time there so ordered brunch stuff: house bloody mary and biscuits and gravy. Both meh. The bloody was spicy but oddly sweet. The gravy broke and not the creamy goodness I had hoped for. I should have picked their regular pub food instead. Definitely check this awesome place out but choose more wisely off the menu than I did

You have to taste the Sublime Donought Burger!

By SebVo |

One of the best places in Midtown. Large variety of beer on tap, combined with really good food. Their house beer is cheap and a local brew from Sweetwater. Especially their Sublime Donought burger is amazing and unique. The service is always good. Nothing to complain about the place, food and people there.

Love the Sublime Burger

By Liz H |

We went twice to Cypress Street Pint - First on the Peach Tree Food Tour and then again on our own. We had Sublime Burgers. Who would have thought a burger with a donut bun would be good. Well it was!! The fries were so great. My husband had breakfast and a beer. The staff was warm and friendly!

We were out roaming at 10

By katskills |

We were out roaming at 10 pm on a Monday night, looking for a place to eat that had outside dining and stumbled across this place. They had outdoor seating and it was in a low key area of town where the local college kids came to hang out. Everything that we ordered was good (fish tacos, hamburger, and nachos). We enjoyed the casual local pub ambience and paired with the excellent food, we highly recommend this place.

Best Nashville Chicken and Waffles

By Cameron P |

Excellent atmosphere, service and food. The best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend for a lunch spot.

Great Local Spot

By photodigichick |

Found Cypress through Yelp while in town for work. It was a Sunday night and there were a lot of young people watching football. Seemed more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant but that was fine. They have a wide selection of beer (not so many on tap). I ordered the Cypress Cheese steak. It was really good...much better than I expected. Would recommend Cypress for a place to hang out or catch a decent meal.

First timer ... loved it!

By timt9424 |

The service was excellent ... fast to take order, deliver food, and fast on the refills! And our server shook each of our hands and thanked us for coming. The burger tasted excellent and was very filling. Fries were hand-cut and tasted single-fried and a bit greasy but potion size was generous. Indoor seating is limited but overall capacity seemed doubled by the outdoor seating area. Plus parking was a breeze ... garage is next door and cheap ($4 for two hours). I will definitely return.

We wanted to treat ourselves to something special....

By Buckhead827 |

And this was it! Driving in from Georgia's Lake Country to visit and tour the Atlanta Botanical Garden...an excellent destination in and of itself...we ended the day very hungry and thirsty. My wife and I had previously been on a 'foodie' tour with Peachtree Food Tours (5 star TA reviews) and one of the tasting stops was this place. We wanted to repeat the experience, except this time with a full meal. Andrew, our waiter, was quick to pick up on the fact, as a side effect of current medical problem, I was not able to tolerate cold so he brought the wine in a glass which had not been chilled and also my water at 'room temperature'. Three cheers for Andrew! Wife had the Boar Meat Pasta plate and a Sweetwater IPA...and mine was the Sublime Burger (1/2 pound), so named because the bun is a pair of Sublime doughnuts from a local shop of the same name. Accompanied by crinkle-sliced sweet potato fries and a tasty glass of Chablis, we both ended with empty plates. Okay, so we took home one doughnut and a small portion of the pasta plate. But the burger was totally consumed. There is an extensive menu as well for this Atlanta Mid-town eatery. Just a hair before 5 PM on a Saturday, but crowding fast. One thing about this place is you feel as if you are a 'regular' even if it's your first time there. The customers ranged from students to older couples, with an eclectic mix of everything in-between. Think of it as "Cheers'. We plan to make it a consideration whenever we are in the Big A. Oh, by the way, limited on-street parking is monitored and hefty fines for not feeding the meter...an electronic behemoth you feed with cash or credit card, but not American Express we found out!

Great place for a Drink and Food

By et111travels |

You have the option to dine and drink indoors or out. Perfect place to meet friends for a drink and food. Don't be surprised to see a celebrity.

Great burgers and good beer

By FlaBearsFan79 |

My cousin and I stopped by for a few beers and an early dinner. I had the burger of the Month. Called it a Churi burger. Really good and had a great flavor. The burger had the right amount of fat to be kinda greasy but not disgustingly so. They also have an amazing beer selection. I can't drink right now being lost surgery but my cousin really enjoyed their selection. I will definitely come back next time I'm visiting Atlanta. Honestly if I lived there I would stop by at least once a month to check out their monthly burger.

Only had drinks but ...

By chriss4gators |

... They were fantastic and the staff, especially Christie (bartender) was so very accommodating while being incredibly busy. Well done team, we will be back!

Brunch

By travelinman0war |

Whenever we come here for brunch, it is good. They will fill up sometimes but usually the outside patio is nice if the weather permits. They have a good selection and variety of beers and food. The service has been hit and miss. My absolute favorite thing on the brunch menu is the chilaquiles. It is delicious.

Good wings

By pascodiners |

This pub type restaurant is in mid-town and really close to the old Biltmore Hotel. There are several selections of wings, all are good. Fairly priced for mid-town.

Our new favorite date spot!

By Stephanie S |

My husband and I are living the suburb life- and midtown feels like a lifetime ago....so when we stumbled upon this place a month ago when in midtown a month ago, we KNEW we had to go back....and we did 2 weeks later. LET. ME. TELL. YOU.......the fried green tomatoes are AHHHHmazing. Life-giving. Go try them. The burgers are fantastic, too...I even saved a fried green tomato to do a quick swap when it arrived- perfection. (Veggie was not memorable, however.)

Local bar with food

By CLOWNnFLOWNroundTOWN |

We’ve been here 4-5 times and really want to love it, but we just don’t. Everyone else seems to love it. It could be because of the service, which has been great. However, the food has missed the mark for us. Nothing has been bad… It’s just a little bland and we haven’t had any “home run” meals. I wouldn’t discourage you from giving this place a try… I may still go back. But I just always leave wishing it was a little better.

Great food

By gaines3a |

My husband and I were in Atlanta on business. I found this cozy spot on Instagram. I'm so happy I did, the food was great and our server was super sweet and fast! We will come back here the next time we are in town. Great food and atmosphere.

Good bar food. We had the nachos, pizza egg rolls, Brussels sprouts, pub fries and pretzel…all were really good. Great outside seating and good drinks

Big Work Lunch Gathering Outside - Hot But Tasty

By JohnKreviews |

Last week we had a big work gathering for lunch. They had room outside, but it was steamy hot out there. Still, it was a good time & they took care of us. Plates of apps to start were good. I then ordered the pickleback burger with the fried pickles on the side (quickly giving them to a happy coworker). Otherwise the burger was good with a Jameson whiskey glaze, pepper jack cheese & applewood bacon. I’d recommend if you want a burger. With fries already on the table, I got a side of good steamed broccoli to “offset” all the apps.

Great Menu!

By Charles D |

Took the family to Cypress Street P&P after a GT baseball game. Great outside venue. Young crowd. The food is sort of Gastro Pubish, very good. I recommend the Port belly over Georgia Kimchi....awesome. My kids loved the burgers, just a heads up, they do not have a kids menu. Cool place, will do again.

Good bar food

By FairAir |

Went here for lunch during a conference and was pleasantly surprised. It's a very noisy bar with TV blaring and friends chatting loudly but full of atmosphere and definitely fun. The food is surprisingly good, basic American fare but well cooked and served. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick lunch if you go for the atmosphere or sit outside for a (slightly) less noisy meal.

Loud!

By Charles Y |

This is truly way more bar than restaurant. The menu and volume are dead give aways. Additionally, the place is not exactly a bargain. The staff is friendly and efficient, the only real plus I can give this place.

SUBMLINE DONUT BURGER!!!!

By ttbryan1 |

I heard amazing things about this place and had to try it. It lived up to the hype. This is more of a pub/bar type place. When we walked in, it was very crowded and you basically have to find your own table or wait. It was very crowded, but we were lucky to find a table close to the kitchen. It was a bit crazy, chaotic and loud, but our server was out our table within a few minutes. We did not order any appetizers, so we started straight into dinner. I had the Sublime Donut Burger with fries and it was AMAZING! I am huge fan of Sublime Donuts and having it as the bun to a great burger is an awesome combo. My friends had some tacos and the salmon, which they were both pleased with. The restaurant was having trivia night, so I think that may have contributed to craziness of people running around everywhere as well as the extreme loudness. This is definitely a much younger, hipster type place and I would recommend it for anyone hanging out with their friends in a lively establishment. I would not recommend this place for a date or children. They do have a large patio area, which was completely full, upon arrival, and I could see various tables of people smoking. . Another item to note is that they do not have a lot, so you have to find parking around the area on the street or in the garage beside it (they do not validate) with a minimum charge of $5. The prices were reasonable, as well.

Great for drinks/pub food after work

By trevorc764 |

Sat at the bar for drinks and food after work one afternoon. The fact that their house beer is Sweetwater IPA for $3 is really cool. The food was surprisingly great. I bet this is a great place to watch GT/Falcons games. Will be back next time I'm in Midtown ATL.

Good eats, great beer

By MooL |

We visit Cypress street often and are seldomly upset with our choices. The ambiance is nice and the beer selection great.

Game Day FAIL at Cypress Street Pint and Plate

By Tim English |

Rolled into Cypress Street Pint and Plate at 10:15 am for a Saturday Georgia Tech football pre-game. Table of 8. Took about 15 minutes before server took our drink order and another 45 minutes before we got our drinks. Had to flag down a different server and ask for help because our server disappeared. One of our party gave up and went to the bar for service. He had two drinks and finished his food order before we even got our drinks. Placed our food order about 30 minutes in. After waiting 30 minuites our server came out and advised the kitchen was out of the Chicken Biscuit special I ordered. I subbed a Philly Cheese steak in as my order. Finally got drinks - another server took pity on us and brought out our complex drink order - two mimosas and a bloody mary. About 1 hour into the visit. A late arrival in our party placed an order about 15 minutes after we did - he got a really poor bloody mary attempt way after our food came out. Most of us never got water even though the server said she would bring out water for 8. Food came out. My philly cheese steak was soggy and bland. A frittata was substantially undercooked and had to be sent back for food safety reasons. The "egg" brunch dish sent out by the kitchen would not pass the quality test at Waffle House. Our server is way over worked and clueless. We tipped her nicely cause this is a management problem. Manager needs to seriously consider whether they are in the right profession if they think any of this was ok. We barely got to the game in time for kickoff at 12:30. Even though we were only a ten minute walk from the stadium.

Horrible Customer Service

By Ty Xavier W |

It is sad that I have to give a rating so low. I have been here many of times and this was the first time I had ever experienced the rude personality and character of a waitress named Kelly. The food was great and I have recommended people here for the last 3 years. I brought a guest with me on my last visit and I am glad I got to see my waitress true colors. I placed a tip on my receipt that I admit wasn't the highest, the reason being, I wanted to tip her a $5 in cash in addition. Unfortunately I had cash in my car and proceeded to my car to make sure she had the rest of her tip. Before I got a chance to make it to my car, she approached me outside at my car and address me about her tip. I let her know that I didn't have enough money on my card. Right before I can tell her I was going to pay the rest of my tip in cash, Kelly says " You don't need to be eating out at this restaurant then...." ---- She never knew I was actually getting cash out the car for her. I am glad that Kelly didn't know. It was great to see her show her true colors and inappropriate style. It definitely doesn't represent the company very well and I can't believe I had to even deal with somebody who obviously could have handled herself more professional.

Great Bar & Restaurant!

By Camille R |

Loved the ambiance. We've been twice and it was crowded both times. Eaters and drinkers were happy and enjoying fine culinary options. From wild boar to Sublime burgers, the meals are a treat. And the beer choices are wide and varied. It's an industry eatery... that means that folks working in other Midtown (and beyond) establishments go there to relax and recharge after their shifts. Best recommendation in the world when other culinary experts come to a place.

Terrible...

By Ryenn O |

Walked in. There were people jammed in everywhere. It was soooo insanely loud inside with no where to sit. The patio has tables packed in everywhere. The other people at the bar were incredibly rude. The people smoking on the patio were making it almost impossible to breath. We didn't even get a chance to order food before pretty much getting chased out of there by locals...overall environment of the place was terrible. Do not recommend. Go down a few more blocks to World of Beers. They will take good care of you!

Anniversary date

By Nat V |

My husband and I just went to have a drink and a appetizer and hang out for our 15 year wedding anniversary and were treated like children and interrogated by the door man asking us were we were coming from ? Which by the way was the sweet shop down the street. I didn't get the guys name he was shorter with a beard . We will never go back we had been before with friends etc and never had any issues . I can't believe we were talked to in such a manner . I also tried to call after this situation happened and no answer . I don't know who the owner is but they might need to consider who they have working the door and answering the phones .

Philly Cheesesteak!

By SandBAtlanta |

Not gonna lie - the only reason I come to Cypress is for the Philly Cheesesteak! It is SO good! I think I heard that one of their chefs is from Philly, and this is his creation. All I can tell you is that it's legit. We almost always grab a seat at the bar, order a Bloody Mary or one of their great beers (excellent selection) and two cheese steaks with regular fries. I've had the tots, too, and they're not bad, but I'm a tot snob. If they're not super crispy, I'm disappointed. And the Cypress St fries never disappoint. Service is good. Portions are generous. Prices are on point. Parking is a bit of an inconvenience, but you can park in a nearby garage or on the street. Highly recommend, this place is on our regular rotation! It's also a great place to sit outside and watch football games during the fall.

Great place for drinks and bite to eat

By Matt S |

I very much enjoyed my two visits to Cypress Street. Inside is very inviting, and almost has a dive-bar feel. The outside patio is also delightful...even during a January afternoon!! The beer list is excellent, and the tacos very good....Monday night taco specials are a fantastic deal!

I love going here!

I love this place. They have Beer Geek Tuesdays where every week is different. I went to a Sublime Doughnut and Beer pairing here and was floored. It was exceptional! You can't beat the fire-pit outside or the fact they have hidden menu items such as the Sublime Chik Breakfast Sandwich or the Sublime Breakfast... Seeing a pattern here? Quality doughnuts, quality beer list, fun atmosphere, and great food. What else do you need? Can get crowded inside very quickly so you need to plan ahead. That would be my only piece of advice. I frequent here often!

Pretzel so yummy!

By Shel03 |

Decided to try this after seeing all the good reviews! We loved it. Started with the pretzel bread. It was yummy! Husband's philly steak sandwich was great! My salmon over the grits was tasty as well. Kids had sweet potato fries and they too were great as was the shoestring fries. So glad we tried it We will be back again.

Sublime Burger and Havarti Grits!!

By Amanda H |

The food and atmosphere are laid back. Worth the cheat to any diet you're on. Service nice and we took our 9 yr old here but it is a pub so may be a bit loud happy hour time. HIghly recommend the harvarti grits and sublime burger, which is a burger between two glazed donuts. You only live once and will regret not trying the savory menu here

Get the sublime donut burger

Sweetwater 120 $3 draft - awesome price

Server was great, cannot remember his name. We had the BBQ egg roll appetizer, Buffalo chicken sandwich w/fries, hamburger w/fries, Philly cheese w/fries and the kale dinner salad w/blackened chicken added. Food was very good. Stick with the beer it is a great deal. Had a glass of Malbec and although the wine was great it wasn't much wine for $9. It comes in a small tumbler, maybe to make it look like a decent amount but it's a small amount of wine. We were there early on a Saturday (5:45) and it was busy. Great outdoor seating with heaters and atmosphere overall.

Burgers and Beer

By RickKristen |

my wife and i visited Cypress Street for the first time last night. the space is really cool and funky with a nice outdoor patio seating area. we seated ourselves and then waited over 10 minutes for a server to appear. then we were handed off to a second server and finally 2 glasses of water arrived. it took another 10 minutes to get a server to come over and take our drink and food order. Clearly service was not executed at a good level last night. I got a burger, wife got the Philly cheese steak. My burger was ordered medium and it came out medium rare. Philly Cheese steak was as good as you'll find at Jim's Steaks in South Philly. i had the Cedar Creek Dankasaurous IPA and it was outstanding

Work meal

Called here after long meeting day. There were 16 of us, although we were not able to book a table, when we arrived at 5:45pm, we could find a table. Outside area was full and venue was popular and busy. Limited food menu but food was good and servers attentive. Good selection of unusual craft beer all at a reasonable price

Great Visit from the Food Tour

Awesome Food and Drinks!!!

By gixxerryda |

After a last minute decision to stop by Cypress Street Pint & Plate we were excited to stop by once again. My wife had the sublime burger which is a burger with donuts as buns which is delicious. I ended up this time ordering the fish and chips which reminded me of being in London. No complaints about that dish as it filled me up to complete content. For our son who is 3, I think we all know how 3 year olds are eating out so we ordered the chicken and cheese quesadilla which was awesome. I think I may order that next time as my meal. The drinks are also made very well, no complaints there and decently priced. The vibe is nice sitting out on the patio enjoying the cool summer breeze and either chatting with your crew or catching the game. FYI, if seated outside patrons do smoke so if that bothers you I suggest getting a seat inside. Can't wait to go back.

Not very friendly

By JBWtraveler |

I ate there following a football game. We arrived well ahead of the crowd, and were given menus fairly quickly. However, we waited about 15 min before a waiter showed up to take our order. He acted totally disinterested in serving us. We waited another 10 min for two beers, and had to flag down the waiter to get him to bring us more and take our food order. The food was good - the pulled pork and collard egg rolls were very tasty, and the Philly steak sandwiches were above average. I would have given the place four stars if the wait staff had been attentive and friendly.

OMG too good!

The calories are worth it!! Packed place with such unique food! Hip vibe in college area. Burgers were devine!

Nice patio and good food; few Covid protocols in place

By Rainy3_Travels |

First time visiting on a couples night out; food was good, and patio was spacious. The place was hopping, and seating was first come, first served. There were several things on the menu that the restaurant didn't have, including several beers that our server said he'd never known them to have. We were there several hours and did not see one single table wiped own between service, including our own. This would be a concern any time, but especially in light of the Covid protocols they claim to have in place on their website. Our server was busy but took care of us, and the food was delicious. Overall a good experience - but there are several details that need to be addressed.

Great food

Good beer selection, great food! The shrimp and grits were pretty spot on and the ample amount of beers to choose from was great also!

Not impressed- poor management

By Kristy T |

Tiffany is an appalling unprofessional person. Cypress flip flops on their pet policy. Please make these things more transparent to your customers as our night was planned around this. Happy to leave my dog at home and I totally understand if you don't allow pets- but don't say you do and then not really when we show up... Please also hire and train managers that know how to adequately and appropriately handle a situation as Tiffany walked away from me mid sentence even though I never used could language or attacked her personally. All she had to do was give a sincere apology and say how she could see that wasn't fair and we would have been on our way. I am incredibly disappointed with this place.

Went back

By Henry_Macon_GA |

We went back to Cypress Street after a bad meal just to check it out again. It seem to us the other visit was an off night. This time the food was great and glad we gave them another chance. I had the special which was Shrimp sliders and my wife had the bbq smoked brisket which was also very good. (I had a bite of it also). It is a neighborhood bar, seems to us always busy but very good service and the food has been super 2 out 3 times. Give them a try.

Sublime burger is to die for!

By Ryann Murray |

Sounding a little odd (a burger in between two doughnuts) I was hesitant about this burger being too much. It was just the opposite - I didn't want it to end! The homemade BBQ sauce was also great! So, so good and the restaurant has a fun, great atmosphere. Good beer and cocktail selection and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Food only okay at best; beer list only okay; crowded patio; service not great.

By Robert W |

Basic bar food; basic beer list that includes several craft selections albeit not many local offerings. Burger okay; fish and chips not that great. Service, right at dinner time on a Wednesday, not very attentive and slow to get to you. We were here to go someplace different before a show at the Fox Theater. WARNING: STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS SENTENCE FOLLOWS: This isn't really a destination spot to seek out for its own sake but if you're in the area, need a beer and a basic meal, don't feel like the fuss or higher expense of some of the Peachtree St. spots, or you DO want to remember what your college hangout was probably like (which was more of a locals place where they barely tolerated the college kids but it was still okay because you were with your friends, were certain you knew it all and figured once you graduated you'd never come back to THIS joint so the food and service didn't matter so much)...well, if that's the kind of place you want this one will do.

Great stop before and after Tech game

By Michael R |

Very near Georgia Tech stadium and suprisingly good for a bar which appeared to be part of an hotel, excellent range of beers and food was good, good traditional bar setting and showing the games.Great way to beat the throng after the game

Nice Sunday Spot!

By Melissa |

This is a nice spot with a great patio! We sat inside at the bar and watched football and had a few drinks and a bite to eat. The price was right and the service was good. Restaurant wasn't too crowded and we were able to find seats right away. They have a nice selection of food and beverages. I would definitely come back here for a nice patio session!

Came recommended, didn't disappoint

By Amerikki |

Tried this because an uber driver recommended. The food was really good. I got the broccoli and the BBQ egg rolls. The pork in the egg rolls was a little dry but nothing that some BBQ sauce couldn't fix. The broccoli was DELICIOUS! Partner got the chicken strips and fries. The fries were exactly the type of fries I like with the skin and really crispy. The chicken was also very good as well. Would definitely eat here again.

Great vibe

By CUTiger81 |

I've been here a few times for lunch and once for happy hour. It's one of my favorite lunch spots in Midtown. This place has an amazing vibe. It's great for a lunch meeting. There is usually a mixed crowd of business professionals, construction workers, and GA Tech students. They have specials every day. My only issue is that some of the high top tables seem very close together. Outside of that, I really enjoy going here.

nice burgers and salad, but still felt average

By geo_chic |

Visited with friends for a Sunday evening dinner. We all had either salads or burgers. The Burger of the month for August was a turkey burger with all the fixings...not bad. The dinner salads were big with decent variety and quality greens. The three who drank had a blood orange cider which was pretty good. Our main server, though, may have been having an off night because he didn't really seem to care much about what we ordered or answering questions we had about the menu. In addition a noticed that a group next to us found seats and then waited over ten minutes and finally left because nobody came to check on them or take an order. The patio out front looked homey and would probably be even nicer as the summer heat dissipates a little. The wall of liquor is neat and a little intimidating. Others in my group are repeat visitors and recommend the Sunday brunch, but I'm unsure I'd seek them out again if I return to the area.

Good but ask about advertising out$ide

By Donald W |

We went for an easy bite and beer on Friday night. First time there. The food is tasty and they have a nice selection of beer. Be cautious of the outside specials board. The Friday special is 1/2 price apps. It turned out it is exclusive and did not include sweet potato nachos or wings. It was not the reason we went there but it was the reason we selected food. Just be sure to ask. Three adults with one beer each, a burger, 2 apps and a salad bill was $63. Not bad.

Bonkers

By Darren J |

Didn't manage to make it past the patio gate. I was surprised to be stopped in my tracks with a brusque "Hey man! I need some ID!"... I'm almost 50, and feel closer to 60. The bloke demanding my ID was young enough to be my son... I decided that if his attitude is indicative of the place, then I'm not interested. I declined to produce ID, and went elsewhere instead. Never to return.
