Ok food. Great location

By Rob J |

If you are at the c n, omni, world congress center, Mercedes Benz stadium and area this is very convenient. Maybe my Reuben was not up to par but the meat was very dry and the rye a bit stale. The extra bacon kale was very sweet with lots of sugar. Others had what look to be good fries and sandwiches. It was just not great to me. But it is convenient.

Great burgers/happy hour

By DLN3 |

Really good burgers at Dantanna's. It's also got a great happy hour vibe with a lot of young professionals hanging out in the bar area right after work.

Not bad for a late night spot

By Lara L |

Stopped in after the Adele concert. Wasn't really expecting much, just somewhere to grab a drink and bar food. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Springer Chicken Sandwich and the blue cheese mashed potatoes, both were really good. I would visit again.

Great location

By DavidZadok |

The restaurant is located right in the CNN Center and we got there after touring the center. The service was great, and the food was good, though the menu was mainly steaks and burgers and one or two fish and chicken dishes. With the appetizers were more choices and they few nice options. Also deserts were fairly good.

Wonderful restaurant!!!

By Bennett2Sons |

We really enjoyed this lunch!!! 3 of 4 at the table got the lunch special and it was wonderful!! All meals were outstanding!! The waiter was amazing. We were extremely happy with this experience!!! We would be sure to visit again if we were in Atlanta.

In town for a convention.....

By sledman1900 |

Had dinner here one night. I ordered a filet which was ok but it came about 20 mins after everyone else. They said they dropped on the floor and had to make another. Everyone complained about slow service and cold food. Understaffed I thing at dinner hour

Can’t Believe I Went Back

By timothypX4698MR |

Found ourselves downtown later in the evening after soccer game. Tried to duck into a bar or restaurant to let crowd dissipate. We walked by this place 3 times because we had terrible experience before a concert. No shocked but seriously deficient. The servers are all so unhappy looking. Tables open but little to no food or drinks running. I will say, young lady at the front bar did get us quick beers an appetizer. Hooray! Then hostess seated us and the server said we need to be seated. Uh hello. I guess kinda seated, no silver or menu’s. Waiter seemed pissed to get a table. I thought that’s how they made money. Please remind me to never go back!

Loved this Place

By DrAlias |

Beautiful tucked away restaurant inside the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta. We were celebrating Father's Day. We initially had reservations to sit in a booth, but when we arrived we loved the way the bar area looked. The restaurant is very clean and neat with exceptional staff. We ordered the calamari and it was delicious along with the special sauces. I had the battered shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus along with a skittles martini. He ordered the Tavern Burger, Fries and a Long Island drink. We were both very satisfied with our food and drinks. They also offer a nice patio and booths with curtains for groups of 5 or more. I highly recommend this restaurant and we can't wait to return again.

Good menu but mid average food

By Thomas V |

The large pretzel with cheese dip and mustard is very good. Filet mignon steak was good cut and prepared well. Hamburger with candied bacon and cheese was good. But the crab cake sandwich was actually 2 very small sliders for $14 (way overpriced). Very pricy for barely above average food. During Hawks games it is very busy. Except a wait.

Dinner & lunch out while at Omni Hotel

By OldPilot1967 |

Great food at a sports bar environment. FOOD: My wife and I went with another couple for dinner our first night at the OMNI. Several great choices on the menu. We chose the pork chops; fantastic! Based on our first experience we took a group of ten the following night...all raved at the choices and quality. SERVICE: A young service staff that hustles. They work well together and support the needs of the table. The servers knew their menu and worked with us to achieve our desires. VALUE: we received a great meal with a moderate cost. Well worth it. Over the course of five days we sent over twenty people here; they all came back with positive comments. ATMOSPHERE: A sports bar with several "sections". Some areas could be loud; others not so much so. When we had our group of ten we were in an area where we were able to talk with out shouting. We will definitely go back!!!

Service is really bad!

By BrShF |

Went here at 5:00 on a Saturday! They have a 20 min wait and over half the tables were empty. I go to the bar area where it’s first come first serve. The tables were all covered with dirty dishes so after waiting for 10 min I start cleaning one my self. The server walks over immediately and tells me he’s not ready for anyone’s yet. Really bad service with bad attitudes! Do not go here.

Food was ok but not worth the lengthy wait

By Jeninthechi |

We came here on a rainy evening, and had to wait around 40 minutes for a table. It was a little annoying because there were plenty of empty tables, they just didn’t have enough staff to actually seat people at any of them. Plus, the staff they did have, seemed to be on one long smoke break. Once we were seated, I ordered the filet, which for $30, I expect to be a little better quality than what I got. But I was tired and hungry so I made do. I can’t say that I’d care to repeat the experience to be honest.

Very upscale sports bar with great food!

By Tammie R |

We arrived with a party of 17 on a Friday evening around 6:30 and they seated us within 30 minutes but we were able to enjoy the bar until being seated. The waiter took our drink orders after being seated and never seemed flustered by a large party and kept everything very neat and orderly. Our food selections ranged from appetizers, salads, steaks and tuna and absolutely everything was wonderful. There are many TV's to enjojy sports on but the entire ambience doesn't reflect "sports bar"...everything is very upscale and is seriously a place to try out if you've never been.

Adequate and slow

By Rebecca A |

We visited 2 1/2 hours before a basketball game. The restaurant was not packed. Being located adjacent to an arena, one would expect a restaurant to be able to serve in a timely manner. The food was ok, but took over 40 minutes to arrive.

Busy with crowds but food so so

By CVictorT |

Our company Christmas dinner reserved a large room. Very busy restaurant on Saturday night during Hawks basketball game. Casual sports bar with variety of food. Service is poor and dinner is very slow. Appetizer calamari and nacho are good. Steak filet is only average and nothing special. Salmon is not that good. Side servings of mashed potato and broccoli is too big and so so. It's a place to be seen for the quality of the food.

Sometumes good, sometimes. . . not so much

By David F |

1st time there had a great meal. My wife declared the crab cakses to be the best she's ever tasted. She told others they must try them at Dantanna' s. Three nights later we returned, and she had the worst crab cakes ever! Full of mush, very little crab meat, and virtually unedible. Waits were long, the waiter got all four of our meals wrong, and when we asked about how the crab cakes could have been so different just 3 days apart, he just shrugged.

Girls weekend

By TracyP3441 |

Wonderful food and the atmosphere was so nice and relaxing. Can't wait to go back. If you go please try the Pork Chops.

Don’t waste your time

By Mercy B |

Service EXTREMELY slow. We waited 45 minutes just for our drink order. Food took even longer and was not good. We got there at 11am didn’t leave until 1:30-2:00pm. We returned several plates. The salads had wilted greens. With so many amazing restaurants in Atlanta skip this one.

Good food at good prices

By Skip A |

We ate here the first night in Atlanta for a trade show and just ate at the bar area. The staff was very nice, and the food was excellent. I would definitely eat here again.

Best Steak I've had in a while

By WillieRay58 |

I was a part of a group of 14 men with a reservation. We were served with the highest professionalism. I had the filet mignon with spinach and broccoli. It truly did not disappoint. The appetizers were excellent as well. It certainly completes the Downtown Atlanta experience to eat at Dantanna's!

Fast service on a busy night.

By LSLJD |

We visited early on New Year's eve after a football game and the place was crowded. Despite this our order was quickly served and the food was hot. The appetizer wings and my salmon blfgt sandwich were both very good. I especially enjoyed the side order of mushrooms. The televisions were a plus since we were able to watch another game.

Excellent customer service and chill vibe

By sunlovinmama |

We were staying at the Omni and just stopped in for drinks and dessert. My husband wanted to try the Sweetwater local brew and I was craving some coffee and dessert. Our waitress was so personable and accommodating. Dimly lit, modern decor, lots of big screens.

Dinner after Family Feud

By Susan A |

We were lucky enough to be part of the studio audience of Family Feud, and afterwards looked for a place to have dinner. We choose this restaurant because it was fairly close, and sounded good. Turned out to be excellent! Plus we lucked out as it was half price bottles of wine night which was nice. The food is excellent - everything we ordered was top notch. My husband's steak with the house rub was to die for. I had a lamb burger which was very delicious as well. Our server was a hoot - very funny and very attentive - great service. We had a large round booth which was nice and cozy. Would love to go again but we don't live in the Atlanta area - will just have to cherish the memories.

Great bar, feels like a classic steakhouse

By JayChandler |

Big U-shaped bar with lots of dark wood and helpful bartenders. Food was excellent, especially enjoyed the cumin crusted scallops and the homemade tomato soup. Would rate it a 5 but the choice of draft beer was limited, less than 10, no Guinness, no Lagunitas, no Dogfish Head, no nitro.

Nice option

By Diego Mota |

Restaurant is inside CNN facilities. Has a great variety of beers and meats. Good option too for those who are looking a place to take a drink and watch a TV game. Prices are reasonable and the attendees are very attencious.

Awesome service

By JASFoodie |

We were here for a convention and did a meet and greet in Dantanna's. We were lucky enough to have Rose as waitress. What an outstanding person and handled our fun crazy crowd with a smile all the time. Make sure to ask for her if she is working. What a gem. The food and libations are good as well.

Varied menu and nice beer selection

By Leona1966 |

Lots of tvs to watch sports...lots of menu options and a great beer list. Was there on a Thursday night and it was deserted....not sure why.

Busy!

By AttalaRay |

Stopped here to grab a bite before attending a concert at Philips. We were able to get a seat at the bar, the place was crowded and busy. Can't understand why a place like this doesn't have more than one person tending the bar and trying to take orders especially when there is an event at Philips arena. Anyway, was finally able to order and tried the Bison burger. It was excellent, the drinks were slow to come but we were able to get a couple before the show. I would like to try this place on a "normal" night.

Great spot for lunch if you are at the congress centre

By ShropshireBlade |

A good wide choice on the menu of salads, burgers and seafood too. Good value and convenient if you at the congress centre

Just ok

By jvpritc@aol.com |

We asked for a table with a TV but were told that all of them were reserved. We ordered dinner, ate, and left and nobody ever sat at those tables. I guess we did not look important enough to eat there even each of us pulls down a six figure salary.

I thorougly enjoyed the quinoa edamame salad as a meal

By JoSki32 |

The wait staff was friendly and usually prompt. My friend's steak was tasty, and his sides looked really good. It is a sports bar, with TVs all around

Good food

By Travis |

A party of four. We had a ribeye, filet mignon, heart attack burger and child's organic chicken tenders. Heart Attack Burger: Oh. My. God. It is exactly a heart attack. A monstrous hamburger sandwiched between grilled cheeses. It was superb and was properly cooked to perfection. Ribeye: The ribeye came with the house dry rub cooked medium. It came out perfect. It had the perfect flavor a ribeye should and was not overly fatty. Some ribeyes you get from a well known chain steakhouse always seem to have a much larger marbeling/fat content than these. I think the less fat contributed to a better tasting steak. For a 14 ounce ribeye at $36 I wasn't too impressed with the price. I think a $20 range would be more acceptable. Filet: It also had house rub and cooked medium. Hands down, three of us would choose the ribeye over the filet. Side dishes: The fries have their own unique flavoring and we're very good. I typically dip my fries in BBQ sauce and they had some sort of blackberry BBQ made in house. I wasn't a fan. The mushrooms were good and tasted like they were sautéed in beer. Broccoli was excellent and large. Overall it was good food and would probably eat there again.

Half good, might try again

By starzcity |

We went to Dantanna's for the first time on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday. It was rather empty at the time, and we were seated right away in a small private "room" with our own tv. Our waitress was great. The fried calamari was not so good. The shrimp and crab appetizer was way over-browned. Two of us had fish and chips. The fish had over-browned, over-spiced, heavy batter, and not much fish. This is a meal where you want to taste the fish in a light crispy batter. It was served with flavored/floured fries, which were not as good as plain, fresh fries. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Salads and asparagus were great. The creme brulee was very good. I took a star off for all the seafood having dark, heavily flavored batter that overwhelms the taste of the seafood, and for over-frying it. And another star for the atmosphere which could use an upgrade.

Highly underwelmed

By Chas |

Salads while looking simple, a really good one is not. Had the grilled chicken salad. The chicken had been sitting, not tender and the greens, more like yellow greens tough. Not worth it.

Decent Burger, Overpriced and Very Slow Service

By Nupester |

The burger I ordered was pretty good and you have to love the atmosphere and location within the CNN Center. But the service was really slow and not real friendly, they wouldn’t even let me sit inside a few minutes before opening. It’s overpriced, to pay for the location. Good place to watch a game, I’m sure.

Sports Bar on one side, Restaurant on the other...

By cwatson37 |

I've been here many times when I come to Atlanta for shows and conferences. Typically, we head over for lunch and enjoy what have always been good sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. This time we had a full sit down dinner and the food was really good. They have a good selection, portions are big, and everything we ordered was cooked correctly, presented nicely and flavorful. Our waitress was great, very friendly and pretty fast given all the activity in the restaurant. If you're staying at the Omni or working at the GWCC, it's a great place to try.

Super slow and meat too hot to cut?

By Anleba87 |

We decided to eat here as the wait was inly 10 mins. However, in reality this restaurant lives in a dream land. It took 35 minutes to seat us even though there were plenty of empty seats. They sat us in seats that were empty when we arrived. Our server was more interested in socializing with other servers. Soda was flat. My friend ordered a Philly cheesesteak at $12. The server returned a little later stating that the philly could not be made because the meat was too hot to cut but they could make him the serlion wrap. To our surprise when the bill came the charge was for a $20 wrap not a $12 philly. We were there almost 2 hours and received our food after an 1:30 mins ordering. They used the excuse “we are busy” ; however, they are in a busy are in an area where one would think a restaurant would know how to handle crowds since they are directly across from Congress center and attached to Phillips arena so I cannot allow them to use this as justification. I suggest you skip this place, go to the food court or Taco mac. Definitely don’t fall for their substitutions. Over all the food was mediocre but we had to woof it down to make it to our show.

Good food

By 348dianep |

Great location next to the Omni Hotel. A little pricey, but to be expected near all attractions. Some of the seating areas have tv’s! You won’t need to miss any games!

After meeting eats.

By thewoobys |

Excellent wine, crab cakes and gumbo. Great staff both at lunch and dinner. Definitely worth a visit.

Late night Dinner

By Tommy H |

With the closing of Taco MAC next door, we decided to give Dantannas a try. They have wide variety of adult drinks, a good appetizer menu and great entrees to choose from. While the prices are a little expensive, the food and atmosphere is good.

Pre Concert Slow & Slow

By timothypX4698MR |

Made reservations to eat before a concert at Mercedes Benz Stadium. Complete dysfunctional staff. Need to wait then sit then waited anyway for server, drinks food. Then all at once it arrives, appetizer, salad, entres. Instead of apology we got total attitude. Guess what never going here again.

Good food, very good service!

By Dhanan |

Good food, very good service (food came out fast and fresh)decent prices. Try the grilled okra, the best okra ever!

Late night food awesomeness

By Youllknowimright |

After the Bama game we walked in and at 1:30 am were greeted nicely by Brittany with celebratory cocktails and offered up food saying the kitchen was still going strong, she introduced me to her manager. I told him how awesome she was along with the great food and service . I will definitely return here! All restaurants could take a lesson from this place!

First time (maybe last time) Visit

By 513dan |

Came in about 5:45 or so and initially thought they were closed....no one there to greet at the door and maybe 5 or 6 folks at the bar. Stopped in for a few beers and something to eat with a client. Beers were cold and moderately priced ($5 each) and the Cajun Grouper sandwich was delicious. When our server described one of the special appetizers, we should have asked "how much?". We were gently persuaded to order the Blackened Crab Fingers. What we received were spiced up, crab flavored crumblings. No meat to it, just very, VERY small portions of crumbs flavored in blackened spices. Didn't worry too much about it (again, our sandwiches and beer were excellent) and then the bill came.....$19 for the appetizer!!! Are you kidding me?? That was my first visit to Dantannas and it may be my last. I will probably give them one more opportunity at my food dollars but will certainly do a little more homework on any appetizers they try to sell me.

The best food and experience in town.

By Tommy |

You will not find better food or atosphere anywhere around Atlanta, I have tried everything on their menu and it is all cooked to perfection. Dustin, their GM is fantastic as is the rest of their staff. TV's are everywhere to watch sporting events. I will never go anywhere else. This place is awesone.

Stopped by for a late night bite

By SSCMD |

On a family trip to Atlanta, we stayed in the Omni Hotel near CNN. We arrived late and wanted something close by and quick. We were advised to try the food court in CNN center as somethings might be open. We opted to go there and give it a try. Unfortunately many others had the same idea so the few open food court shops had quite long lines. Instead of waiting almost 30 minutes for a fast food burger, we saw that Dantanna’s had no line so we chose that. We were seated quickly and were able to start ordering. I started with the pretzel. For $5, it was large, freshly baked and came with an excellent cheese sauce. My wife got the gumbo and was very happy with that. As it was late, we did not get anything too large. My wife was very pleased the the crab legs bites. These were very tasty. I got the “signature” Rueben sandwich which was solid with Boar’s Head corned beef and quite heavily packed for the cost. Definitely worth going back and exploring other menu options if time permits on this trip.

Dantanna's was okay

By ken711 |

I found Dantanna's to be okay. If you're looking for lunch or dinner near Centennial Olympic Park and just across from the GA World Congress Center you should be satisfied. My wife eats gluten free and the response from the waitress didn't excite us. She suggested she not order anything if she needs to eat gluten free. We didn't feel like the waitress either knew what gluten free meant or wasn't interested in knowing. Our burgers were fine, just ordered without the bun and they were delicious. I think Dantanna's is a pretty good place to have some good grub and enjoy a cold beer with friends while in the downtown Atlanta area.

Great restaurant!

By JQ B |

Lunch was fantastic, wait staff made good recommendations and the service was superb! I would definitely eat there again!

Dantanna's at CNN downtown Atlanta

By Migdalia R |

After the awesome car show at GWC, my hubbie and I crossed the street toward the CNN Center and went for an early dinner (5:00) at Dantanna's. I ordered the she crab soup and the spinach salad with mandarin oranges and candied almonds. I wasn't that hungry but I ate every bite of both dishes. The soup was thick and rich and perfectly seasoned. The salad was fresh and sweet and the champagne lime vinaigrette was light and refreshing. The service was super friendly and attentive.

Packed.

By Howard R |

Being in the CNN building must provide this place with a steady stream of patrons. The wait for a dinner table was too long so we sat three at a bar space made for two and made the best of it. We met some folks in town for the same event and had a great chat. The food was okay, but seemed expensive for what we got.

Very Good Place to Eat

By TMan3032 |

We were in Atlanta for the weekend for a cheer competition. We ate at this restaurant twice. Even though they were busy the service and food was always excellent. $60 or less for three people. Our first waiter was Jay. He was terrific. I can't remember the name of our second waiter but he was very good also. I had the brie hamburger the first time and the cuban sandwich the second time. Both were outstanding. My wife and I got a side salad with our meals and it was one of the best salads I have had in a very long time. If their side salads were that good their entree salads had to be wonderful. Even though this place was packed both times we ate there, we got a table in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal at a fair and reasonable price.

Terrrtic sports bar

By Peachs71 |

Catch a game either in Philips Arena or on one of their many flat screens. The is bar food at its best. Good service, large menu selections, cold beer and sports on TV.

Surprisingly Decent

By Chia404 |

For being attached to CNN Center one wouldn't expect this place to be as good as it is. Service has usually been quite good while I've been there, the food is good and there are some decent-sized and placed TVs around if you feel like watching a game.

Nice place

By Cheritaylor |

Very nice and comfortable surroundings, great staff, very friendly. Just had a couple drinks and an appetizer but we were told how good the steaks were here. Appetizers we’re fabulous.

Great sandwiches

By Q5581TBdeb |

We are here for lunch while attending a conference. The waiter was attentive. The food was pretty good and we were in and out quickly. You can also see the CNN newsroom above.

Good Burgers and Fries next GWCC

By knuelp |

OK atmosphere and interior, pretty good burgers and salads, the fries are really good. However the service collapsed over lunch, and the kitchen was completely unable to keep up with the rush hour, approx 45 minutes wait is a no-go in particular next to the GWCC.

Convenient stop for convention center and Omni Hotel

By Ian K |

We were staying in Omni Hotel and attending a conference next door. Dantanna's is on the path so that's how we ended up here for two meals, lunch one day and dinner the next. Sitting at bar on a late afternoon with a small crowd, service was quick and impersonal. Chowder was good and Caesar salad was more like a Caesar soup with slopped on dressing. I left half and made a comment to bartender that he shrugged off, not caring. Cocktails are what I consider two-sippers, small highball glass, lots of ice, two sips of liquid. On the next day for dinner, we sat at a high top in the bar and had a much more friendly server and good service. The downside is my entire meal was just barely warm. Fried shrimp had already gotten soggy and mushy warm at best mashed potatoes. It's convenient and portions are generous, but it's just kind of there....

Great food, good service

By Mejad |

They told us everything was made in house at Dantanna's. Everything was delicious. I had steak, perfectly cooked, mashed sweet potatoes just the right amount of sweet and savory, and broccoli that was tender crisp. Good wine list, too. The only negative was that it was noisy. At our table of 4, we had difficulty hearing each other by the time the restaurant was full.

Freuben!!!!

By BatGuano30 |

A Reuben with fish, just wonderful. My wife loved and my burger was great. Friendly service and a Sweetwater draft, great place. $40 with tip.

Good restaurant especially for dinner

By ARATT_SG |

The number of options in the CNN center for dinner are extremely limited. This restaurant has a good range of options of the standard American food. Good service too.

What a farce!

By PhilNichols |

How can making two sandwiches in a virtually empty restraunt take so long and go so wrong? We ordered two sandwiches, one a gluten free. Then we waited and waited some more. There were only two other tables occupied. We waited. 35 minutes later the sandwiches appeared. The gluten free sandwich turned out to bear little resemblance to its description on the menu. When this was pointed out to the waiter he looked totally nonplussed as if no one had ever complained to him before. Eventually he must have passed on the comment as we were visited by the manager who was profuse with apologies - almost to the point of becoming a caricature of Uriah Heap. Money was knocked off the bill which was a fair attempt to make amends. However the situation should not have arisen in the first place. The Kitchen was under no pressure and the cooks should know what should go into the sandwiches.

Horrible customer service/rude servers

By bn0720 |

Visited with my parents on a Saturday. My dad asked if we could move from a table to a booth and I sat and listened/watched a server mock him to other employees when he walked off. When I got up to ask for her name she got in my face and spelled it out twice (Aakayla). I asked to speak with the manager & he replied that it was unacceptable but offered no other comment or apology. We sat down & had to ask for condiments two times before receiving them after we had finished our meal. The restaurant was very busy but there was a full staff who mainly stood around chatting the entire time. Good food but horrible experience. This is the first bad review I've ever written for a restaurant for what that's worth.

Sports Bar and Steakhouse

By Thomas R |

We showed up as a group of 9 people (including 4 tired children) at 7:30p. The place was crowded, but after a brief wait, they accommodated us in a somewhat private booth with its own TV. The wait staff and service time was great. It is a steakhouse and the meats were absolutely excellent. I wouldn't necessarily call it a family friendly place on the regular, but the food was great and they did a great job of customer service accommodating us. Overall, a very good visit.

It's okay

By Dana P |

The food was just okay. Decent, as others have said. We had burgers. They were fine. The fries were good I would put this on par with restaurants like Friday's etc. The service was really attentive and good. overall it's a good place to have lunch if you're in the area.

Good meal! Attentive service

By Nicole N |

Food was pretty tasty. The shrimp were large and seasoned well. My favorite was the sautéed bacon kale. There was a hint of smoky meets sweet. Our server gave good suggestions and consistently checked on our table.

GREAT FIND!!!!

By T P |

After leaving the Georgia Dome we came across Dantanna"s and where very happy with it. Jeff our waiter was excellent! Food was very ,very good. Steaks, burger and even Apps where a hit. Try the Mac and Cheese . We will go back again, in fact we went twice on this past trip.

Close to the convention ctr

By Kenmarsam |

Great option for a business lunch or while attending the GWCC. Great selections to choose from. Service was decent. Nice atmosphere and the food was good.

Good Food, not ideal for a concert night!

By JenEady |

Let me say, the food was really good and our server was very nice however the service was extremely slow and not ideal for the price. We had 2 adults and 3 kids ages 8,9,11. They have a great kids menu, regular menu and an outstanding gluten free menu. They even have gluten free beer! I was very excited about the menu selections for everyone, which is why we decided to eat there before the concert. We got right in and were seated at an excellent spacious table for 5 with our own TV. The atmosphere was great. Again our server was very friendly and nice, but extremely overwhelmed. I think they must have been short staffed because he could just not get it all together even though he was really trying. Our salads never came out, but our meals did in a timely manner and the food was excellent. My son did not get what he ordered, but he ate what was given to him because we were in a hurry and ready to see the concert. My husband and I both ordered steaks which were very tasty, but we never received steak knives (after we asked twice.) There was plenty of workers standing at the hostess stand that could have come around to ask how things were going but it seemed like our server was running ragged while the rest of the staff stood around and talked. That was very disappointing. Overall I thought the food quality was great, but the lack of service was disappointing. In my opinion, concert nights should be expected to be busy and ALL the staff should be attentive to what's going on in the restaurant. Our bill was over $100 and I had to cut my steak with a butter knife and my kids never received drink refills. Next time we will try another restaurant that seems a little more interested in our business.

ok for mall food

By Scott K |

The food was filling and large sides but all in all it is mall food. The staff was busy and not very friendly but hey tried.

Lunch on the run

By Gregory P |

For a reliable well made meal, hot, ready to eat with dependable quality, this is the place to eat. The staff had to deal with large lines at lunch time which they handled expidicously and in good humor

Great burgers, but manager has issues

By 1Wisetraveller |

Our group of 5 came here for a quick business lunch. The food was fantastic, but the kitchen was slow even though they were not busy. Then one member of our party found a bit of a shiny substance in her burger. The waitress apologized and said her burger would be comped. Then the manager arrived, and instead of repeating the apology, he explained that it was fish skin in her burger (clearly a sign that they are frying fish on the same grill...), not foil, and therefore there would be NO alteration in the bill. We did not ask for the burger to be comped, but after the waitress promised it, the manager was exceedingly rude to take the offer back. Typically when there is a problem with food at a restaurant, the manager apologizes and offers a free dessert, a small coupon, etc. To instead blame the customer for pointing it out is a sign of a real problem.

Enjoyable Meal

By Karen D |

Friends met here before The Who. They sat us in a back room which we appreciated because it was quieter for conversation. I had the Scallop and Shrimp Risotto and it was delicious! We also shared a bottle of wine...Chateau Souverain Cabernet Sauvignon that was so good that we took a picture to remember it! Very smooth and nice flavor. They were slow in service but we had allowed plenty of time. If you are in a hurry, choose another place.

Sloooooow Service & Warm beer

Went here with a group of 15. Service was unbelievably slow. Eve. Just explain g the menu took forever. Waited over 20 minutes every time we ordered drinks Nd they kept getting the drinks wrong. The beer was also warm. Got fed up and left to go somewhere else so didn't try dinner. Crab cakes were good.

Good

Good service. Good food. Had the salmon BLFT.... excellent flavor but about 1/3 of the bread was empty.

Co Workers

By Marla R |

My co workers really enjoyed this place they have been trying to get there for two days and finally went. They say the food was really good.

Convenient Location. Decent Food.

By RaymondD |

I was staying next door at the OMNI Hotel, so this was convenient. Good variety on the menu. Prices were fair. Ended up eating here twice.

Affordable dining with great service!

By Chordeiles |

This restaurant is located in the CNN building, directly across the street from the Georgia World Convention Center. I was attending a conference, so the location was very convenient. Conference organizers had recommended Dantanna's for the "Freuben" sandwich. I had a Freuben on the first night, and it was decent. I ordered the blackened version, but it was not spicy at all. However, the fish was cooked perfectly, and my side of asparagus was also cooked nicely (still a bit crunchy - seemed really fresh). More impressive than the food was my server, Jeff. He asked me about my beer preferences once I indicated that I preferred beer to wine, and he suggested a pairing with my sandwich, and his choice was spot-on! Even though sides are not included, prices overall are very affordable, especially for a downtown restaurant. I went back a couple days later for lunch, and sat at the bar in the back. I had a spinach salad and a side of bacon mac-n-cheese; both were delicious. Once again, the wait staff were excellent! I didn't catch the bartenders' names, but they were friendly and attentive to their customers. The staff seem to enjoy working there, and there was lots of friendly teasing among the staff. I will definitely return next time I visit Atlanta.

Surprise Find in Food Court AreA

By TheFiveTs |

We went to Dantanna's to get away from the busy hotel restaurants and were not disappointed. Service was great, the atmosphere was quiet and the seafood was excellent. We would definitely go again when in the Atlanta area.

Save your money

By Christine R |

Based upon some of the reviews of this and other restaurants, I thought this might be the best place to eat before a game. However, the food was very slow in coming and not of quality. The service mirrored the food. I ordered the salmon sandwich. There was too much bread for the salmon, the fried green tomato was almost as crunchy as a potato chip, and the bacon was all fat. I tasted the other meals which consisted of fried catfish and fried shrimp. There was more breading than seafood and the breading was not seasoned. While the breading was peeled off to eat only the inside, the seafood was not much more edible.

Service keeps this review to meh, could have been better!

By Sean D |

We had a great meal with a bad server - so what do you do with rating them? The ribeye was good... the salad was good... but man i just cant get over the fact we had a server more interested in whatever than us. We saw him to order, then he disappeared for a good 6 minutes to find out what beers they had... then we saw him when the food came and then when we were clearly done our meal. He brought the check.. apparently he had somewhere to go, so we didnt get dessert. I can speak of how good the meal was and how bad the service is... so be warned... you will eat well, but be frustrated in the process!

Chill atmosphere

By ashsaidit.com |

I stopped in after an event at the gwcc across the street. Never had the opportunity to stop until now. Angela was my server and she was awesome! Fireball shots are $3 on the weekends! :) I ordered the spinach salad and I'm so glad that I did. The blend is outstanding. The salad is one reason to visit. The Krispy Kreme bread pudding is the 2nd reason. I had no idea such a thing existed. Wow is all I can say. Kudos Dantanna's!!! #ashsaidit

Great Evening!!!

The staff was super friendly, especially Adri! It was a busy night but we still felt catered to and appreciated. The burgers are great and the sweet potato fries are second to none!

Overrated

By MissMoorea |

Four of us went for lunch here recently following a CNN Studio Tour. Our first choice was another restaurant that was closing for the afternoon for a private event so we wandered into Dantanna's. It was the end of the lunchtime rush so we scored a nice booth right away. Unfortunately, our wait for a server was not as prompt. Finally, someone came to take our drink order but it was not our server. After an extended period of time, he made an appearance with no apology for the delay. At that point, we just wanted to place our orders so we didn't bother asking if there were specials, etc. Three of us had the classic burger, which were good, but the fries and sides were an add'l charge. We thought this was ridiculous. The fourth member of our party had the salmon sandwich, which he enjoyed, but again, he couldn't understand the charge for a side of fries. By the end of our meal, we all agreed that despite the lackadaisical service, none of us were overly impressed and there was no reason to ever return again.

Really good food and Service

By Albanut |

We are hear for the Super Bowl. This place was packed. The staff did a really great job of taking care of everyone ASAP. The cheesesteak sandwich was perfect.

Will Not Return. Flavorless Food.

By KMB_GA |

Stopped at Dantanna's tonight before the Gabriel Iglesias show. We had originally planned somewhere else, but traffic was heavy on the way to Atlanta so we chose this place due to the proximity to Philips Arena. We only had about a 5-10 minute wait before getting a table, but the dinner quickly went downhill after that. Our waitress was not friendly or quick about helping out with anything. My husband ordered a burger and I order the special, a Parmesan Chicken Po'Boy. We put our orders in and waited...waited and waited. Our waitress refilled our glasses once then began to avoid our table. After a 35 minute wait and multiple times avoiding our table, she told us our food would be up in one minute. 5 minutes later, someone came out of the kitchen and apologized for our wait saying a huge order came in and for some reason the two simple sandwiches we order were pushed to the back of production. He came out again 5-10 minutes later with our food and promising to give us a discount on our meal. Now, if the food was really good, all would have been forgiven. But our dishes were horrible. They left the toppings off of my husband's burger. He asked for grilled onions to be brought out. They literally through onions on a grill long enough to get char marks then rushed the mostly raw onions out to him. On top of that, his burger resembled a chunk of charcoal; it was so overcooked pieces were flaking off. My chicken sandwich was more of the same. The bread was completely dry with zero toasting. The chicken was borderline undercooked with soggy panko breadcrumbs and no other seasoning. Both dishes were almost flavorless; like no seasonings were added to anything. We quickly ate what we could, as we were about to be late to our show due to the slow service, paid our slightly comp'd bill, and left for our show. Atlanta has too much to offer to waste another trip on another train wreck of a dinner.

Loved it

By TravelSnob25 |

We ate and watched the Super Bowl here, and had a great time. Family atmosphere with an upscale vibe. They have huge TVs everywhere to see the game. Great staff, drinks were made perfectly (I'm VERY picky about my Long Island tea), burgers were huge and cooked to perfect temp...what more could we want? Highly recommended.

Terrible food and service

By deltaman |

The only reason why people eat here is because it is close to the dome and arena. I would never eat at this place again. Awful. My wife and I were going to a concert at the adjacent arena so we decided to eat here. Bad mistake. The restaurant was half empty but it took 20 minutes to get the drink we ordered when the waitress finally greeted us after we had been seated for 10 minutes. It took an hour for our food to be delivered which was not what we asked for. My wife asked for a well done burger with sweet potato fries and her burger was presented with a red middle and regular fries. We also asked/paid for avocado on the side however it was on the burger. The burger was removed from our bill so my wife went and ordered a burger from BurgerFi inside the CNN center. Our server was sweet but this place was terrible. Never go here. Food is below average. Service is way slow. You are better off eating at a fast food restaurant inside the CNN center. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

Yum!!!

By gtmadore |

My husband and I wandered in here for dinner after a full day at the Walker Stalker Convention. The Atlanta Falcons were playing so the bar was full swing with a bunch of excited football fans which made for a party-like atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and quite patient with two newbies to the restaurant. My husband ordered their Tavern burger with fries while Iopted for the Philly Cheese steak and fries.....both with sweet tea. The food came fairly quickly for being as busy as it was and the portions were generous and absolutely delicious!! We really enjoyed our meal and it was nice not to be rushed out after a long day at the conventon!

Great food

The food and service here was awesome. You have to try the bacon Mac and cheese. Loved the rib eye very well seasoned .

Close to Stadium

By Seymour Beer |

Went in for a couple appetizers and drinks after a football game at Mercedes-Benz stadium. Its within walking distance of the stadium. Staff was great on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Good food choices and resonable prices on food and drinks.

Pleasantly surprised!

By Jodi P |

It was convenient to State Farm Arena and surprisingly good. We sat at the bar, and were served quickly. We both had an Old Fashioned and were pleased. We ordered 3 appetizers and were surprised by the quality. The chicken eggrolls were unique and tasty. The kale salad was very good. The goat cheese appetizer was also unique and tasty. It had a sports bar atmosphere.

Excellent Food

By Linda G |

We've eaten there 3 times in our short 4-day stay in Atlanta. Hamburger is excellent, fries even more excellent. Steak is so tender and flavorful; baked potatoes are perfect (with condiments on side to load yourself). Sautéed spinach is tender and garlicky. Didn't get a chance to try salmon, but I've heard it's great. The atmosphere is very nice. You can't go wrong at Dantanna's.

Drinks & apps at the bar

By MerJim |

The town was packed for an event so we were lucky to grab 2 bar stools here. The drinks were great the bar food was fresh and the servers were friendly.

Don't waste your time or money

By MES1948 |

Went there for lunch on a Friday. waited only a few minutes to be seated. Our turkey sandwiches took 45 minutes to arrive. When they did the bread was stale and the sandwiches were not cut in half. One and done. Find an alternative to this poorly run place.

Best steak ever

By Beth H |

Dantannas Downtown is in the same building as the CNN center. It was very dark in the restaurant. I got the 8oz black angus sirloin and it was absolutely amazing. The server explained that they use a 28 day aging process. I chose the blue cheese mashed potatoes and corn for sides both of which were delicious. My steak, two sides, side salad, and a beer came to around $30. Great bargain for quality of food.

Middle of the road

By Tripking07 |

I found it to be a larger pub like experience. The service was pleasant but slow. The food was reasonable and the drinks were good. I thought the food quality could have been better, sort of chain like from the taste. Overall not bad but not excellent. Would recommend if your looking for a burger and a beer.

Unexpected food quality and value

By Terpshooters |

If you close your eyes and take a bite of Dantanna's 20 oz bone in ribeye, you would swear you were in a top notch steakhouse and not a sports bar. My steak was cooked to perfection and the rub was excellent. It also came with 2 well prepared sides. I had the sautéed spinach with garlic as well as a side salad. Although the steak is not prime, it must be a very good choice cut and aged well, similar to the non-prime steaks you would find at Charlie's in Tampa/Orlando, or Rays in the DC area. The service was also excellent (I sat at the bar). To top it off, the cost for a 20 oz high quality ribeye with sides/salad was only $40! Try finding that kind of value in any major city.

Was not really impressed.

By 3CtheUSA |

We were not greeted when we entered the restaurant. Just had an uncomfortable feeling. The crab bisque was good. The crab and artichoke nachos were OK. Probably would not return.

Not bad

By Dtravis814 |

Being across the street all day in meetings we stopped in for dinner around 530 PM. We were seated promptly by a very nice hostess. In a short time the waitress who was also nice and knowledgeable came over and was to discuss the menu and wine list. The food arrive in a short time and was good and hot, cooked properly. Reasonable portions and tasty. Even the desserts were decadent.

Great food!

By jlfaa |

Being from California our party thought maybe this was a additional location from the California location but it was not. The food was good, our service was great, but there was some going ons with one of the other waitresses/hostesses that made it quite apparent there was no management around. One of the women was very loud and acting out. Yelling, shouting, dancing around hitting on a police officer that was in the location. Overall it was a great show for us.

Lunch with friend

By pugsjhpugs |

In Atlanta for a conference and had lunch with a good friend at Dantanna’s. Lunch was excellent. I had a grilled chicken wrap with a side of broccoli and French fries and everything was incredible. The tea was freshly brewed and nice. Our server was very good and he took great care of us!!

Great Place for Lunch

By Eskimo26 |

Was at CNN center taking tour and stopped in for lunch. Excellent Burger and fries and Pinot. Staff was very accommodating in putting The Open Golf Championship from Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland on one of the the TV screens.

OK experience... food had no flavor!

By hdstarr |

I am a local and this was my first visit to Dantanna's Downtown before going to Disney on Ice. I have to say I wasn't too impressed. The food was bland and we didn't have silverware when our food came out. Service was spotty as well. Also, when waiting on a table, they won't let you take your drink with you from the bar. What? lol These things should be a baseline for food service. When that's not there, it's hard to give a good rating.

Great experience

By Augustine B |

I had a great experience at Datanna. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The waiter ( Devarcea) was personable, courteous and knowledgeable. Devarcea gave us great service. Chef Keanen prepared a delicious appetizer, entree, and dessert. The food was appealing to the eye and satisfying. I will recommend this restaurant to others along with the chef and waiter. Kudos!!!!

Great food, slow kitchen

By TCU_2003 |

We were at an event at the Georgia World Congress Center and met clients at Dantanna’s for lunch as it was nearby. The food was great, once we finally got it. Their kitchen was apparently unprepared and understaffed for the size of expo, and at some point during our nearly 2-hour lunch, closed the restaurant to new diners. Our waiter was helpful and attentive to drinks during the long wait, and everyone enjoyed their food. Hopefully they get it figured out before the Super Bowl in 3 weeks.

Total Disappointed...

By Bob |

On July 3rd of this year 5 of us made a attempt to eat at your establishment, with no success. At 5:05 pm we put our name on the wait list, and were told it would take 30 minutes...and we were seated 35 minutes later...no problem except during that time period we sat at your 1 closed bar with a drink from the other bar, and watched 4 tables sit with no one at them during the whole 35 minutes. We were going to a concert next door, and informed the waiter about the concert. Lets go back to the concert(Lots of people needing some where to eat). Bar closed and at least 200 people walked out because they were looking for some where to drink....probably another 100 people walked out seeing empty tables but were told it would be 45 minutes before being seated. Now lets get back to the 5 of us. Waiter assured we'd get our order in time. He took our drink order and dinner order, and came back with our drinks, and never saw him again. It's been 50 minutes and no food. After the hostess saw me walking around looking for the waiter, she informed us that our meals were on there way. Now it's 10 minutes later...no food...no one to be found, and we're 20 minutes away from the concert starting. Oh what to do? We left. I have brothers in the restaurant business, and have helped get them started in the past, and I'm telling you that this is the sorriest excuse for a restaurant I've ever seen. If I was a owner, and saw what I saw last night...everyone, but especially the manger would need to be fired. I'm going to make sure I spread what happened to us on the internet...people need to know.

Dont get greek burger

I ordered greek burger which is lam burger and it come out something not good. Thanjs to our waiter ask us to change with regular burfer which come much better. Service was very slow eventhoug we sit down at the bar.

I was in town on a business trip and a few of my associates decided to eat lunch here. It was great. I had one of their burgers and it was very good. I would eat here again without a doubt.

Very Disappointing, HORRIBLE Service

By Troy8080 |

The worst service you can imagine. We were going to a concert at the Mercedes Benz stadium and decided to eat at Dantanna's prior to the event. Nice looking place and very conveniently located. We didn't make reservations and asked the hostess if there was anything available. I kid you not...she looked at us, asked how many (3) and then picked up her phone and checked her messages. At a snail's pace and the enthusiasm of a turtle, she took us to an open table (one of many available). I think we were an inconvenience to her. We were seated, not given eating utensils or offered water. she later sat an older couple and was very polite, upbeat and gave them utensils and water. After 13 1/2 minutes of being ignored, we decided we didn't have the time to eat there. As we stood up to leave....someone urgently asked if we needed help. Nope, just came to your restaurant to take a break, envy your serviced patrons and leave....of course we needed service - about 10 minutes ago. Luckily, there are many other food options within the CNN food court area

Anniversary Lunch

By JStitcher62 |

My wife and I were in Atlanta for our 14th Anniversary and decided to give this place a shot...man were we glad we did! The steaks here are dry aged and were very very good! My wife had the lunch special which was Pan Seared Skate (stingray wing) and it was excellent! If you're looking for a great place for lunch or dinner give this place a shot!

Awful

By Samantha G |

The service was medicore but the food was terrible. Undercooked bacon, hair in some of the sauce, bread that tasted like kerosene, and water that actually tasted dirty. We were all starving after a long day but none of us could even finish the meals they were so awful.

Working lunch

By Mack M |

We dropped in to grab a quick sandwich and have a working lunch. The service was good and drink orders were quickly taken. The sandwiches were pretty average and sides okay. Overall, just another bar and grill with nothing special to write about.

Dinner in Olympic park

Perfect location for a great meal before the game. Lots of choices for healthy foods and comfort foods.

Guajillo chicken nachos are scrumptious

By jenned17 |

My friend and I dined at Dantanna's prior to a concert at Philips Arena. We were surprised it wasn't more crowded, but it was a Tuesday night. Our waitress was friendly, just not especially attentive. The guajillo chicken nachos are out of this world. Loved the rich cheese sauce, jalapeño slaw, black beans, chicken and crema on a bed of crispy nacho chips. The tavern burger was also flavorful and perfectly cooked alongside sweet potato fries. I look forward to the nachos again in the future and exploring other menu options for my entree.

Good dinner

By gtarney |

Figured this to be an average hotel restaurant, atmosphere was, but the pork rib chop was delicious, cooked just medium without drying it out. Nice. Bacon Mac & Cheese was pretty good, not over done with the bacon. Waiter was not terribly knowledgeable but friendly and willing to find out. Brought us 2 samples of the beer to try before ordering. While not a 5-star restaurant, very pleasantly surprised.

Great Service and Food

By Dave P |

We had the best experience with great service from Devarcea and food was excellent. Devarcea had a wonderful personality and was very professional in his customer service. He answered our questions and helped us with making our dinning choices. If you are staying in the Olympic Park Area of Atlanta I highly suggest a visit to this Restaurant. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and it was one of the best outside of Pittsburgh. They must use high quality ribeye steak with very little fat.

Great Night, Great Place

By Paul D |

The perfect venue for a group of business friends after a long day at the Trade Show. Definitely recommend the Cajun Chicken Egg Rolls. . And creole sauce. Everyone’s meal was served promptly and our server did a great job. It wasn’t the busiest night so we got to chat with the staff and had some fun. Everyone was super friendly which can really make for a great evening. Being from New England, I was surprised by the mushrooms on the salmon but it tasted good. Overall, Prices were reasonable considering it’s location and we enjoyed ourselves. Don’t forget the Cajun chicken egg rolls.

Lunch after CNN tour

By dochertz |

Wanted a good lunch after CNN tour. Restaurant looked good but once in the tables are 2' from others and became very noisy. Had French dip with aujuis for $1 more. Bun was soggy so just ate the meat. Okay but Arby's would probably been cheaper and better.

Pass

By tom c |

Seemed like an obvious choice due its location to the arena but if you are going to charge me NYC prices or even Phillips Arena prices, I would rather drink in the stadium. Had the classic burger which was very good but the wait staff really didn't care that service was necessary. Place wasn't busy to justify the waiting time.

Food was good

By Carrie S |

We were really in the mood for a burger but nearby Burger Fi has weird hours so we settled for this place. It was unseasonably cold for the Atlanta area (so we've been told all week), but it was almost like the locals were used to it based on the temperature of the dining room. I ate my burger (which was small for the price - lots of bun around it) with my long-sleeved shirt, covered by a hooded sweatshirt, while wearing my down coat. I would have worn my gloves but I was eating a burger. The house fries were really good, but cooled off quickly because it was so fricking cold. The burger was yummy, even though it was small. Was supposed to come with BBQ sauce, but it didn't. I asked for a side of it - they did me a favor by not putting it on. I didn't like it. I should note that I'm from Ohio, so I'm used to the cold. In Ohio, however, we like to turn on the heat.

Perfect Spot Before The United Game

By Todd F |

Just had a really nice lunch with my son before we head over to the Atlanta United game. The restaurant was very clean and open. Lots of folks watching a variety of sports on the many TVs inside. Our waitress, Rose, was amazing. She immediately took our drink order and checked in on us regularly. Food was very good. I had the wedge salad with blackened chicken. My son had the Tavern burger. He said it was great. He hates pickles but said he likes the pickles on the tavern burger! 🤷‍♂️

I experienced great service and atmosphere at the bar. The drinks were great and the krispy kreme bread pudding was amazing! Be sure to stop there before any event at philips arena.

Amazing Service!

By Belinda T |

We have been here many times and love the food. What I want to talk about in this review is the service. My husband (Ga fan) and myself (Al fan) were lucky enough to attend the NC game. We went to Dantanna's before the game and the service at the bar was AMAZING! The place to say the least was extremely crowded and the waiters behind the bar took care of everyone with big smiles and mannerisms! There are times I can say, I am not proud of Atlantians; but not that night! Shout out to Isaiah, Brice, Jeremy and McKinley for handling all of that so professionally! You guys were the best part of our night....besides my Bama WIN! Keep the smiles coming and we will see you guys soon! Stephan and Belinda Tucker

Disappointed

By Todd P |

Went there today with boss. Sat for almost 30 minutes. With no drinks. No water. 20 minutes before lunch order was taken. We left. With no drinks. No water. No apology Can’t give a review of food. Didn’t get any Was there for drinks the day before and it was ok

Disappointed but Grandbabies were ok!

By Traveler657403 |

My wife and I and been to Dantanna’s Buck head location twice and really loved it! We took the Grands to a movie a figured we would give them a treat, so we book Dantanna’s Downtown. I was expecting the same service and quality of food. I was sadly mistaken. The atmosphere was great and what you would expect from Dantanna’s. It was not crowded so we expected great service, again we were wrong. It seemed like our waitress, although nice, was preoccupied by the Tv. She sporadically visited our table. She took our appetizer order and didn’t come back for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile water glasses went unattended and we were unable to order our entrees. The calamari appetizer came however there were no plates for us to share the appetizer. The waitress took our order, finally much later. The aged ribeye was not a tasty as the Buckhead location. When you go to a steakhouse you shouldn’t need steak sauce. The steak was medium rare as requested but it lacked the flavor I am accustomed too. I was really looking forward to dinner as was let down by the food and the service. I will return to the Buckhead location and never return to the downtown location. The kids enjoyed their meals spaghetti and cheeseburger. My Wife and I found this experience lacking. I hate to give a poor review but this Experience was worth me posting this substandard review.

Best meal in Atlanta during our week of holiday

By slevefromdaburbs |

We had a great meal at this location; best food in our whole week in Atlanta. We went around 2pm, and it wasn't too crowded. Food was good, price was good for the food and service, and was just an all around great experience. Hope I get to go back there again, best steak, better than Hard Rock Cafe steak dinner. This place is great!

Not customer oriented

By Glenda B |

Four of us for dinner. 3 of the 4 orders wrong. Left off the bacon on the burger. Got mashed sweet potatoes nit sweet potato fries. Asked foe mayo onthe sandwich, nope didn’t get it. Reminded the server he forgot the mayo said he’d bring it. Nope never did. Took 50 minutes to get our dinner. Don’t plan on returning.

Excellent food and drink options.

By Aaron S |

The food and drink options here are really good. Had a couple of meals here while visiting. The service is excellent and will definitely be back on my next trip to ATL

Nice place

By Matthew D |

After our CNN Studio tour, we opted to have lunch here instead of one of the "food court" restaurants. The staff and server were extremely friendly and helpful. The menu just seemed fairly average me to. Everything seemed "heavy". I had a turkey sandwich and the meat was seasoned heavily yet that was not indicated on the menu. Nice atmosphere compared to the food court. I would definitely try it again.

Great steak!

By dsullivan615 |

I recently visited here while in town for a conference. There was a fairly large group of us but they seated us promptly and the service was really great throughout the visit. I ordered a small fillet with a couple of side items. I am normally wary of ordering steaks from restaurants that I do not know because so many people do not know how to cook a piece of meat. This was fantastic! It was cooked perfectly, and the flavor off the fillet was awesome. I would definitely visit here again.

Great Service and Good!

By Slick12 |

I have always passed by here when at an event in the Downtown ATL area. This time I decided to stop by and wait out the traffic. Glad I did. Very convenient to the Georgia World Congress Center and State Farm Arena. I had the Trout with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection! I also thought the staff was pretty pleasant and attentive! I’d stopped by there again when in the area!

Great place for lunch

By Naomi B |

Great lunch place across from the World Congress Center with an Uber/Lyft drop-off /pick up right outside if needed. I just had a burger and salad and it was very good. The burger could have a bit of seasoning on it to make it tastier but it was cooked as ordered and a nice size. Prices were very reasonable; six people a it over $100 (no alcoholic drinks). Service was outstanding; attentive without being pesky.

Really showed your backside during my visit

By Baybug2012 |

The food is good. Service is hit or miss, but this really REALLY frustrated me this past week. I brought 2 6th grade female students to the FCCLA conference. They could not afford to eat your priced meals. I was eating and I was afraid for the girls to be out of sight. So, they brought their Arbys in to your place. YOU nutted up and made them feel you were going to call security. Okay, we agreed to bring them plates and cups, but how you made us feel and for some reasons did you forget I was a paying customer. I am actually a repeat customer. FRUSTRATED with this!!

Lunch

By Msuangus |

Great lunch close to class great venue great food.if you are down town Atlanta check it up.Wonderful staff . Lots of fun

Gotcha!

By CLM |

I was a little skeptical b/c there were no customers but my son wanted a burger and what steakhouse does not have a good burger. The waiter was not very friendly BUT the burger more than made up for the lack of a cherry disposition from the waiter. The burger was perfectly cooked, thick, juicy, seasoned well. The only thing missing was sone fresh cut home fries. It says home fries but they are frozen out of a bag. I would go back for that burger any day of the week!

Convenient for Events

By ttbryan1 |

Four friends and I went here after a home Atlanta United game on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 8:00 pm were promptly seated. We started with drink orders. Someone in our party ordered a Manhattan and the server promptly returned and said they were out of vermouth. They then ordered another drink, but then the server came back again saying that they were out of sazerac. So, they decided on another drink that they had all the ingredients for. We then went straight to our entrees. I had the eye opener burger, which has cheese, bacon and egg. I also ordered fries with it, which was an additional $3. It was good. Someone else is our party had the cheesesteak and they said it was fine, but they used mozzarella cheese instead of provolone, which they said was a bit strange. Another person had the tavern burger, which he liked. The service and prices were fine. Overall, I thought the place was ok. It was convenient for an event going on at State Farm or Mercedes Benz, but I would not go out of my way to dine here.

Good Grilled Chicken Salad

Nice looking sit down restaurant in the midst of a lot of fast food restaurants st CNN Center. Nice restaurant but noisy. Grilled chicken salad was good but the plate was too small for the salad. I ordered the small one and it was plenty for me. Larhe slices of chicken and double dressing. My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak snd said it was not good. He did eat the meat with extra au jus, but not the bread. Service was fine.

Great meeting point

By Maria G |

Dantanna's is Great Meeting point at the CNN center is you are on your way to a Hawks or Falcons game. Drinks and appetizers at the bar are quickly served. Watch out though, they kept my credit card after I paid and I had to go back the next day to get it downtown.

Good food

I ate there with some colleagues one evening. The food and service were great. The only negative was that the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. The staff did turn it down.

Birthday Celebration Dinner with Friends

By sherrylbercaw |

We had a large table in a private area that was perfect. We all ordered something different, Salmon to salad to burgers, crab cake sliders to sriracha wings. It was all great. They brought a wedge of chocolate mousse on a graham cracker crust that was to die for. Not to sweet, very smooth.

Horrible service

1 hour sat here waiting for water... more 45 minutes waiting for a blackened tuna...service horrible! Won’t come back

Lunch while at a conference at the Omni

By Baybug2012 |

The waiter was on it for lunch. The place is never busy at lunch so service is usually pretty fast. I had corn chowder and it was very good. My friend had a sandwich and the mac n cheese. Go give it a try.

Attended a conference and had lunch here everyday. Enjoyed every meal. Can recommend the turkey sandwich and what ever you do, do not miss the fries

Great steak

It was in the CNN center so you didn't have to walk on the unsafe street to get to hotel. The food was great, and service was average.

Outrageously bad service

By CA-Traveler1022 |

We went here as part of a large private group for an event; had our own room. Food was OK but certainly nothing special for the price. The worst was the service. The meals came out piece meal, some people were not served until after the first persons served had finished. Three of us (including my wife and me) didn't get our meal until 10 minutes after all of the people previously served, which was the entire group, had finished their meal! And they asked us four times what it was we had ordered!

Great quiet private dinner with our family. This was an excellent visit to Dantanna's and good food and great service!

Quick and tasty

By Tholopainen |

A bunch of us was at a conference that had poor lunch, so we decided to head outside and found Dantanna's. Two of us went for burgers and one got the cheese steak. The service was good and the food came out on time. The server understood that we were in a hurry and respected that by hurrying up with the bill. We would all gladly go back for more. Recommended.

Great for a quick lunch

Great for a quick lunch. Good service and cold beers. The Cuban sandwich is delicious. Close to the hotels and great to relax and what a little football

Vacant Location

It appears that this location is no longer in operation. Dantanna's letter for the business sign have been removed they are however still etched in the windows.

Great place for lunch

By As1Cit |

Visited the Rheumatology conference accross the street and the CNN tour. We wanted to stay nearby due to the unseasonably cold and windy weather. There was a 30 minute wait, but we expected that at 1pm. The waitress was upfront and warned us that the kitchen was very busy and pointed us to items that could be prepared quickly. I had a medium burger, my extremely high maintenance friend went out on a limb and settled on a medium well done burger and other friend had the mahi sandwich. All food was excellent, service was excellent, price was reasonable for the quality. Will definitely return.

Good lunch sopt

Good food, great drinks

Food is good, prices are comparable to the other restaurants in the area. Service is good. Comfortable setting. Drinks are good. Desserts are good. They can accommodate large parties with ease.

A Nice Place

By Steve L |

Yesterday, my friends and family (11) discovered Dantanna's after an event at the Georgia Dome. We were so happy to have Simona as our server as she was wonderful and so observant of our requests. Our food was prepared and served hot and I looked over all plates and there was nothing that was left over, except the macaroni and cheese. It was made with a white sauce and was not appealing at all. Not certain as to what area of the country that makes it that way but it should not be here. It did not detract from our wonderful meal and we will definitely return during our next trip to Atlanta. Thank-you

dinner with American fellows

By ndujatuttalavita |

nice location on the inside-area of CNN Atlanta HQ. we ordered 5 buffalo burgers and a sandwich plus few draft beers. both food and service to table was at an acceptable level, however we found a bad surprise when bill arrived because we paid about 200 bucks which is too much expensive for a burger-with beer dinner...maybe this level of price is due to its expensive location on CNN building...don't really know

Best Heart Attack Burger...Ever!!!

By JuceRock L |

Well, I was headed to a different restaurant altogether before a concert at Philips Arena, but the wait was over an hour... so out the door I went, and there was Dantannas. No wait. They sat our party of six at a nice private booth. We had terrific Texas Margaritas and single malt scotch. Three of us ordered the Heart Attack Burger... and OMG - we had to share with the rest of the table. The burger was fabulous. The drinks were pretty damn fabulous. And the service was fabulously outstanding. Definitely try it out before heading to a concert. It will be my go to place from now on. Loved it.

Watched the NCAA National Championship there.

It was not too crowded for the big game, but the tables were full so we sat at the bar. The food and service were OK, but not spectacular.

Great for Drinks or a Lunch!

By PoCoProud |

We had drinks at the bar while waiting for our CNN tour, then went back the next day for lunch. Good atmosphere, friendly server, really good food. We shared the blue crab fingers and a huge wedge salad with blackened shrimp and the crab cake sandwich. All were delicious!

So good we ate here two nights in a row

By Jerseybob175 |

This location in the CNN/Omni common area was a great stop for 5 hungry guys that just flew in. We were seated at a large table with it's own flat screen tv for watching sports. The table was surrounded with higher wood walls so we had our own area. The menu offered expected tavern/bar/restaurant food. Surprises were the calamari and the dessert and the wings. Serivice was good but not great and the kitchen took a long time to get the food out. We were not in a hurry and enjoyed the time. After the Falcons football game, we returned. We stayed with the appetizers and small plates and exp. the same service and kitchen delays. Again, we came to eat and relax. If you are staying at the Omni Hotel or need a nice location for a business meeting, family get together, or relaxing with friends, this is the right spot.

Good food, great service

By Rhonda A |

In Atlanta for a conference across the street from Dantanna's. Had the pork chop which was excellent, maybe the best I have had. The garlic mashed potatoes were rather bland. Didn't taste the garlic at all. Our server was very attentive, keeping water glasses filled and checking on how our meals were without being intrusive. I would recommend this to others who are in the area.

Rude sloppy service and just ok food

By foodieme26 |

This is a sports bar so do not expect great eats or service. When there is a convention across the street they are ill prepared for the extra people wanting to eat there. We would not return. Other choices nearby are better.
