A local recommended Dante's. We didn't know what to expect....especially from the outside...and it was great. The DJ played a good range of music. The drinks were so good and reasonably priced (for Miami). And the crowd was fun.

I only would not go back to Dante’s. We had a pretty good night until the hostess and our server ruined it. We a reservation for 8pm, and at 10:30pm the hostess came over to us all frantic, telling us we needed to leave because “people were waiting.” Not a single person, hostess or server, ever told us there was a time limit when the reservation was booked, the confirmation email was sent, or when we checked in/sat down. It was my husbands birthday, and they wouldn’t even let us wait for the check in our seats - they made us get up and stand around the couches with the rest of the standing room only patrons while we waited for our check - even though I told her it was coming. You can’t wait two minutes for our check to come? Seriously? When we left I told the waitress that we were upset and she offered to get us a free round, but we wanted to leave at that point and not stand around anymore. Our server seemed surprised that the hostess didn’t tell us there was a time limit, but neither did she. Honestly that’s just lazy. Disappointed.

Dante's Hifi is tucked away in a mostly nondescript building, but unlike a traditional speakeasy it is obvious something is going on since the music can be heard from the outside and their is a courtyard full of people outside. Inside there is a vibe of a speakeasy with the oversized leather chairs, dark atmosphere, and a gorgeous bar. The DJ is literally in the middle of the bar with the focus of the venue on the music, which is a great touch. Buuuuut...Yes it's Miami and yes it is a BAR (not a club) that specializes in music and yes it's a weekend. But I literally could not hear the person sitting next to me unless both of us were shouting. I really liked it here but there is a point where the decibels go from loud to unable to communicate, especially for a place without a dance floor. After about 45 minutes we left with ringing in our ears and found another bar and the ability to communicate.

Unreal spot to discover underground electronic music. Met some cool people and had a musical education. Amazing cocktails too! Highly recommend!

The music in this place is amazing and the sound quality is awesome. The DJ is located right at the bar and plays with vinyl records live. If you love music, you need to come here. The cocktails are great too. 100% recommended
