I would do this as two separate reviews if I could. We found this place by accident and thought it looked fun. The food and the ambiance are great, parking wasn't bad on a Saturday evening but might be at other times of the day. You're served cafeteria-style at the counter and in addition to traditional BBQ fare you can get things like jalepeno cheddar smoked sausage, an outstanding cheesy jalepeno corn side dish and a different take on banana pudding. BBQ sauces are very unique, which we enjoyed but may not appeal to many. The live guitarist was fun as we sat outside on the porch watching the sun go down. Service was mediocre, the two gentlemen working the counter were fine but absolutely did not want to engage when we asked for recommendations of things to try, we just got shrugs and an indication that it was all good. This is not a value experience, despite the cafeteria-style setup. A BBQ sandwich, one side and a tea will set you back about $20 before a tip. I would not say no to another meal from here, they do a good job with the food, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Visit here!! Eat here!! Bring your family and friends — everyone will leave fat as a tick!!! Laura was in the pit making some delicious competition level ribs for us and provided EXCELLENT SERVICE with her super friendly and helpful self. The butcher at the front counter offered me a sample slice of the smoked turkey breast and I melted right there on the spot. Turns out EVERYONE melts with that sample!!! The sausage made me think of driving down I35 to get some smoked sausage from one of those back road Texas smoke houses. Yummmmmmm Lastly, here is a crispy salute to the rendered fat on my brisket! Yessir!

We dropped in here for a late lunch and had the brisket salad. Really fresh salad and and the brisket was super tender, very tasty. We decided to have a brownie for dessert which was great. Whilst we were eating our brownie Colin came over and started chatting to us. Very friendly man and he insisted that we tried the banana pudding. We expected a taster BUT he brought out two desserts for us! I highly recommend them, super tasty and not too sickly despite being coated in white chocolate crumbs. We were chatting to Colin and he asked if we were coming back to try the ribs. We told him we were going back to the UK so wouldn’t have a chance to try them. He insisted we take some to try after we’d walked round the Oakland cemetery. We got given a whole rack of ribs!! This place is southern hospitality personified I swear. We ate the ribs when we got home and Colin wasn’t exaggerating when he says that they’re the best thing they do. They’re amazing. Better than Blacks in Austin Texas, I swear. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Atlanta, such good food and really great prices. The staff were super friendly too.

I was expecting something fantastic and was super disappointed. While the turkey was flavorful, I’d highly recommend that you order a platter and never the sandwich... if you even go out of your way to come here. had a lot of bread and hardly any meat, and wound up leaving about half of the sandwich bread uneaten as the bread to meat ratio was Underwhelming given the prices. I’m sure there’s better barbecue in the region and I would look elsewhere.

I came here because I wanted to see if this location was good like the other location. The food was solid. The service was kind, but they really had their staff stretched then. I got the half-rack rib plate, with collard greens & baked beans. Everything was good, but the ribs could've been more tender. I'll come back to get that brisket. It never disappoints!

On the advice of a Guide we went to lunch in this simply divine restaurant exceptional unthinkable incredible friendly welcome clean places the meat is exquisite whether it is the beef that is cooked 20h or whether it is the pork that is cooked 3h there are no words to explain the experience the accompaniments are not bad either all accompanied by a good beer The boss even gave us an ice cream. really if you don't want to be disappointed This is where you have to go it's right next to Atlanta Cemetery

This place has fantastic bbq with home cooked sides! I had both the brisket, and ribs with a side of beans, all were delicious. The people in my party throughly enjoyed the mac n cheese, coleslaw, and creamed corn . All looked home made , and not doctored up from a can. We went to the Memorial St location which had plenty of indoor, and outdoor seating. The employees were very attentive, polite, and helpful. The guy who was cutting the brisket was so meticulous, it turns out he used to work at a Sushi restaurant! Everyone in our group of 5 would return, and give it an excellent rating.

This restaurant is something else men!! They bbq steak is from another world!! Really delicious, you have to taste it ASAP!!

y'all, the hipe, is real, for real y'all, my family came over and we had this, just the basic bbq because its a bbq place, and y'all when I say y'all, I mean YALL. IT IS SO FREAKIN GOOD! honey, you got to try this stuff, I mean, I could stop eating the vinegar sauce, but my cousin who came named barb, he was allergic to the barbecue sauce, so we had a little trip to the hospital, but its all good, barb lived. as with my great grandpa, he didn't like it at all, then again, this is not about old pops, its about me. because y'all, I am the star. believe me when I say its decent. thanks for readin this hun, get it now, if y'all don't like it don't come run-in after me, but I guess I liked it so there y'all go.

melt-in-your-mouth brisket, amazing creamed corn like nothing I've ever had before, delicious chicken and smoked chicken salad (yum!). And the sauces are interesting too. I mixed the espresso spice with the NC vinegar sauce. Wow! The only food I didn't think was stellar was the brunswick stew, which was fine, but not as remarkable as everything else we ate that day. The atmosphere is fun too. They have cornhole and outdoor picnic tables, plus a tented area. Good for kids and adults. And they have beer to for evening gatherings. We LOVE this place!!!! I wish it was closer. I've been looking for amazing BBQ since I moved here 30 years ago and I finally found it. Miles ahead of everything else I've ever tried (including the one's that brag about their awards).

We are in ATL for 5 days and we love the restaurants here as compare to those in NYC, ATL restaurants are pretty reasonable. We found DAS BBQ as we are in the South… it was one of the bbq we had in the East. Amazing meat and sides. Look at our receipt and I can tell you they are all fantastic. Never have better side dishes in the past.
Highly recommended!
Delicious and HUGE portion sizes! Only a few beers to choose from but from the good guys behind the counter to the tasty food and nice patio, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will stop back by when we are in town again.
