Good Food. Even Better Fun!

By ThAttaway |

The food was really good and the service was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The games are very fun to play especially with a group of friends. The atmosphere makes it even better. A game stopped working so I flipped a switch for somebody to come and help me and before I even finished telling my friend what happened two guys were there asking me what the problem was. They fixed it and then gave me se extra tickets to make up for it. Definitely a fun experience.

Vacation filler for kids.

By Nathan W |

Needed something for the kids to do the day after Seaworld, and since we don't have a D&B locally, decided why not. I was happy with the service at the entrance, but inside the game room the waiters were busy and struggling. We tried to sit in a quieter spot of the game room, but the waiter did not acknowledge us for 15 minutes and we moved next to the bar. After that, things got better. We did the eat, play, win for two of us and we all shared the chicken tenders. Good food. We went on half price game Wednesday and got two $20+$3 cards. We ended up spending almost 4 hours there. The kids had a blast, so did the wife. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking to kill some time during their Seaworld trip.

Yummy and Fun!!

By sen2005 |

I love going here while I'm in town, great burgers with yummy sweet potato fries! You can grab a eat and play combo which is your meal with so many coins for the game room. Also have the option to eat in the play room which also has a bar, or in the dining area. Game room is so much fun it's like an adults playground, kids can also enjoy it. I love D&B!!!

Fun Atmosphere No Crowd

By AmyLv |

Quick Service, Friendly Staff, plenty of fun for children and adults alike It was a nice way to get out and do something if the weather was disagreeable. We would suggest the dine and play option where you can add a play card to your meal

birthday party for my grandaughter the service was very good.

the hamburger that I order very good and fast service it was very nice the kids had a lot fun. like it

Processed food and expensive games

By darlynnski |

Went here to kill time due to delayed flight. For $16.99 they have special menu where you get food and $10 worth of game credits. Cheeseburger tasted like you buy frozen from a box at grocery store and fries were cold. Chicken was also frozen processed tasting. As for the games, most took over 5 credits a games so $10 credit doesnt last long. On Wednesday they advertise 1/2 price games so guess its better to go then. Don't know what I was expecting food wise but it wasn't what I was served. Gotta have hot fries. They did take food off bill as I didn't want it after couple bites. Maybe good place to go with low expectations of food, a lot of food choices and maybe its not all bad but won't go again

Fun for all ages

By Mary S |

Great food and service. Fun games for all ages! But can be loud! Prices are pretty reasonable. Friendly staff!

Everything was great, except the sticky menus.

Had à good time windind down with hubby, will come back. The menus were very sticky. Confused about the restroom as were it is.

Date Night

By Reggie H |

Had a date night out at this location. I hadn't been in long time, the Houston location, and first time trying this one out. Went on a Saturday night and the place was extremely packed. We took the option to be seated at the bar. Make sure to have your identification out because they will not allow you to sit at the bar. Our waitress did a fantastic job. The drinks were great and the food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was good. It was nice and clean with some security. It's family friendly.

Last stop on vacation

By ark1984 |

We took our kids here to end our family vacation in San Antonio. The games were fun but several we're not working properly. I ordered a drink from the bar which was pretty fast and good. I ordered the TNT which comes in a glass you get to take home. My only complaint is the awful smell by the bar area. I can only compare it to a vomit smell.

Not As Big As We Had Hoped.

By Kelly Lucas |

We have visited several Dave and Busters locations around the country. The game floor at this one was small and the service in the restaurant was not the greatest. First the waitress came back 10 minutes after we placed our order to tell me they were out of what I ordered. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took almost an hour to get our food. I would suggest giving the other San Antonio location a try and avoid this one.

A GAME WONDERLAND

By Jean C |

Took my 3 year old grandson and he had a GREAT time. For me it was really really loud. It is like a Peter Piper Pizza, Chucky Cheese on STEROIDS. Most people seemed to have a fabulous time. There was every kind of game room game you could imagine in there. They have a sit down restaurant and the food looked and smelled good, but it was pricey. A great place for a rainy day or for the person who wants to spend the day playing games.

Average

By Rflores6129 |

The front counter lady was nice and explained everything. The food (wings) were cold and not cook right. As soon as you entered the game room it had a nasty smell and didn't stay long due to the smell. Will not eat there again maybe return for the games.

Family fun

By O1745VQjasonk |

Well this was a first for me at 46 years old and I had a fantastic time with my family. Look it's pricy but worth ecer cent. The staff was great the bar was clean with excellent bar tenders. The bathrooms clean, and that's important with kids. The games were excellent and I would recommend this to anyone.

EAT, DRINK, PLAY!!!

By Tony T |

Whao! Dave & Buster's is Loaded with Arcades, ticket arcades, pool tables, 2 restaurants and bars, all in one location! It's cool and lively! It has a wide variety of food, always try to get something different and up till now I still haven't been disappointed! Delicious cocktails and state of the art games! I'm a kid at heart so I'm a sucker for Dave & Buster's! Work yourself up an appetite, throw down a delicious munch, grab yourself some cocktails and head over to your favorite arcade and play on! Once your ready for your refill, press the button next to the arcade controls to call a waiter/waitress!!!

Bad experience

By xpushx |

All tables were all dirty, I told one of the servers if he could clean one of them so we could seat and he told us to wait because the cleaning guy wasn't there, so we waited like 10 minutes and he never arrived. We decide to sit in the bar because there was space. I order a beer and the nachos, which took about 30min to arrive after all my friends were done eating my nachos came, the server apologize and gave me a discount.

Absolutely Terrible

By Col. Lingus |

The entire experience, from 25% of the games being down to the bad food, screams exceptionally poor management. Upon arrival, we ordered bloody mary's and were told they had been out of BM mix or over two weeks. Our backup was beer, but the waiter said wait a minute, we don't carry Miller Lite or Dos Equis anymore, they just haven't taken the taps off yet. The food was cold and chewy, the steaks full of gristle. Out of all the machines that give play cards, only one worked. We counted 12 respective games that were out of order. When we cashed out our tickets in the prize room, we had two armloads of stuff and were told that they didn't have any bags - that they had been out of bags for 2 days. About half of the staff here are total lazy bums, and the other half can't keep up because of all the slacking that their counterparts are doing. We will never go back.

Good food and fun

We had one evening with no real plans, so we went to the Dave & Buster's near our hotel. The kids' macaroni came out cold, but they didn't seem to mind too much. We had fun in the midway playing games.

Our First Visit to Dave & Buster's

By CrankingChick |

We hadn't been to Dave & Buster's before, but we were in the area over the Christmas holiday and decided to try it because it was a convenient location for us. We arrived about 11:00 when they opened so it wasn't busy; we were greeted and seated right away. We were given a choice of seating areas - it is really like three or four restaurants in one. There are two bar or lounge areas with bar counters and TVs, a more traditional dining room, and the game room in the back with counters and high-tops. We chose the dining room, which was tables and booths. It was a large open area that was not noisy when we visited but I suspect it could get loud when fully occupied. The menu had a good variety, with an emphasis on alcohol and "bar food" like burgers, wings and appetizers but also a selection of entrees like steak, seafood, ribs and pasta. We ordered two Sweet Apple Pecan Salads with Grilled Chicken (1 full, 1 side), Grilled Portobello and Veggie Sandwich, and Pretzel Twists. The food was fresh and tasted good, though it took longer to be served than it seemed it should. We walked through the game room in the rear to find the restroom and that area was pandemonium. To be expected, but I'm glad they have a dining area that is separate so you can eat there without being exposed to the crowd and noisy games. After visiting this location, I'm looking forward to trying the new Dave & Buster's that is opening in our neighborhood.

Not an Atomsphere for families

By Liz G |

This place is a dump. The game room smells like a dirty old bar. The food served there is nothing but frozen microwaved crap. You also got to wonder if the glass and plate you are served, was actually washed with soap and water. I can't believe parents allow their children to run around this sewer hole. I can't believe we actually thought this would be a good place to spend our evening. The service was below any standard and the management was just as ignorant as the belligerent adults running around there. Don't waste your time or money, and please don't allow your kids to run around that filthy place.

Horrible Experience

By tsmole806632 |

I was in San Antonio for work. On our third night there we all decided to go here for dinner and play a few games. There were approximately 7 of us. We placed a drink order immediately before we looked at the menu. About 25 minutes later our drinks showed up and we could finally order food. Bear in mind this place was very dead when we were there. We waited almost an hour for food which surprisingly enough beat our second round of drinks to our table. Our third round of drinks we had to walk to the bar to get. When our food showed up we immediately requested the check. 72 minutes after requesting the check it finally showed up. 47 minutes for her to process a debit card. It's Wednesday evening and we were one of two tables being occupied. We were so frustrated about our evening being ruined we didn't even play games. We went back to the hotel because it took almost 4 hrs for dinner.

Fun Place, good food

We went there on a Saturday night and there were a lot of people, but we were seated quickly. The food was good, prices not too bad and a huge choice of games to play. Mu husband, kids had a lot of fun

Could have been better

By dolphinchick3 |

We were all looking to have a little fun. We went to D & B to play and then eat dinner. We were told when we got there that we could do the play and eat card. We said we wanted to play first then eat and they said ok find a server and then let her know. When we found a server she was rude and told us we could not do that. So we had to eat first then play, but the whole time our waitress was just rude.

Is it possible to outgrow video games?

By travlingirl3457 |

We 50-somethings met with another couple over the weekend for dinner and some fun n games at the Dave and Buster's in San Antonio. Our meal was excellent - amazingly our food looked exactly like the pictures in the menu! Service was great, too - our server was super busy but NEVER avoided us and checked at regular intervals. We next wandered over to the game room, looking for a little fun. You know, my husband and I met playing video games 20 or so years ago, we are pretty savvy, but the games we saw at D&B were not what we remember. Mostly for little kids, minimal skill. We did finally find Galaga (whew!) and enjoyed shooting baskets and driving through jurassic park. There were lots of little kids considering it was a weekend night, and the noise level was almost intolerable. We might have gotten to (gulp) old for D&B - oh well.

Huge place with lots to do!

By Dhackler30 |

This was our first ever D&B experience. They had just ok beer selection, mostly domestic crap. The service was good and the place was very nice. They have a massive game area with something for everybody.

Expensive games, so-so food and service

By 534sp |

I've been to a lot of Dave & Busters throughout the country and this one is by far the most expensive when it comes to the games. The food is so-so but the wait is just way too long. The service is a hit a miss depending on what server you get. However, with that said, kids love the variety of games and the arcade atmosphere....just be prepared to spend some money. For adults, I would recommend Wild Wings to watch sporting events.

GREAT FOOD!! FUN GAMES!!!

By Ebdawna M |

The food is always delicious! The games are the funnest!! It's hard not to get stuck there for hours. :)

Great Philly!!

By Angelina F |

Philly Cheesesteak was the best I have had! Good sweet tea, good fries. Hubs had a cheeseburger he said was really good. Friends each had steak they both really enjoyed. Little pricey to eat and play but we had a great time and brought home a lot of prizes. Game room had an awful smell. Not sure what it was but smelled like vomit which didn't help after just eating a great meal.

Terrible experience. They should not have been open!

By pittysmom101 |

We went here for dinner, my husband loves D&B's. As soon as I walked in I was overcome by nausea, assaulted by a nasty air freshener smell. It was throughout the place, and in the back game room was a gross rotted carpet smell. We sat at the front bar, and they had those auto spray room Glade type air fresheners ON THE BAR. It would spray toward me every so many minutes, and I was getting sick. I asked about it, and they said they had remodeled the restaurant recently and they left them there because of the smell from replacing the old stinky wood floors. REALLY???? Then on top of all that, we waited OVER AN HOUR for our food, which we finally took home in a take out bag, because I couldn't stand the smells anymore. We complained and they comped our bill but it was still unacceptable for a restaurant to even remain open with those problems. If the place stinks, ADDRESS IT, don't try to cover it up with GLADE. Gross! Not to mention the health department issues with air fresheners spraying near drinks and food. You have been warned! Maybe it's better now.

Great, fun place. No matter what the reason!

By BillieGirl20 |

This is our third different Dave & Buster's to visit and it was just as fun as any other one. We needed a place in San Antonio where we would be able to watch the Steeler game and Dave and Buster's won out. We sat in the front with the big-screen televisions and everything was perfect. There was even a huge wheel you won the chance to spin and win stuff for yourself, your table, or the entire area. So fun. The staff was great, the games were fun, the food was awesome, and the drinks rocked. Dave & Buster's is a great place to go to celebrate a birthday (or, in our case, an anniversary AND football) if you just want to be a kid in a grown up's atmosphere. We had potato skins, wings, and chicken bruschetta. Visit one. Visit this one. You'll be glad you did. One more thing...since we were in San Antonio, the Texas football teams were on the speakers. Dave & Buster's has this awesome little radio-type thing that you can tune to the TV station you're watching on mute and hear your entire game. BONUS!

Just Okay

By ReneeC1221 |

Visited here in July 2016 with my 2 teens just to play games and escape the heat for awhile. They each got a card for around $14 each which allowed them to play about an hour's worth of games. A little pricey I thought. There were a variety of games and it wasn't too crowded. D&B was in the process of setting up some new game and there were tools lying all over the floor with no warning signs. Luckily, my kids are old enough to watch their step. It might be dangerous or a temptation for younger kids though. We had already eaten, so we did not order any food, however we did look at the menu and the food looked very good and the prices seemed reasonable. The women's restroom was absolutely unacceptable. After looking in at a couple of stalls, I decided to just hold it until I got home. It was a mess. I've been in truck stops that have looked better than this. There also were quite a few boys in there, which I think were supposed to be with their mother, but they were almost 10, so I think they could have waited outside the door. A fun environment. We may return again some day for games and to try the food and drinks.

1/2 PRICE WEDNESDAYS

By Lavender_101 |

Food was good, go on Wednesday because all games are 1/2 price and they have specials associated with the menu that are a great deal especially if your kids are gamers. As a mom I was not interested in playing games, so I ate lunch and walked across the street to a very great Super Target.

My nephew had a blast

By Ricardo V |

We took my nephew to play some games as a surprise. We decided to eat first so he wouldn't go wild on us at the game room without letting us eat. As soon as he saw the game room his eyes got wide. The food and games cost you quite a bit, but it was nice seeing my nephew have a blast.

Poor Service + Cold Food = No Return Visit

By DonnyTheOracle |

Not sure what's going on at Dave & Buster's but not the venue anymore for me. And, that foul odor coming from the rear bar was near overwhelming at times. Twenty minutes for a host to come to our table with four sticky menus. With game cards paid for and kids having fun you don't want to walk out. Food came and it was cold I gues it sat on the pass too long. The hosts were clearly not customer focused. I'll give the new Family fun center in town "Game On" an chance on our next outing.

Famfastic!

By Funseekermom |

Great food & fun for the whole family=famtastic. Been to all Texas locations and San Antonio's is second only to Houston's. You can have your drinks at the arcade while you play and billiards abound. Restaurant food is tasty/good service. Don't miss a great opp to enjoy this place with family or just your sig other! Even more fun with group of friends.

Worst restaurant service ever!

By Pablo B |

This is a review simply about the restaurant the video games are awesome. It took the waitress 45 minutes to bring our food at this point it was already cold. I gently asked to get my burger reheated and the waitress took another 45 mins to bring it. That's actually just an estimate I am writing this as I continue to wait for my food.

bad food experience

By Armando D |

dinner at the place. service amazingly slow. the food is below average. sent back the food because it was cold and it took more than 30 minutes to come back. not a nice experience.

Horriable.

By Belia C |

Horrible management, staffing and treating costumers with disrespect. We arrive and sat our selves down at the bar and our waitress shows up 15 minutes later say "hey so what do you guys want" Our first drinks came at a reasonable time but thats when things just went for the worse. We order our second drinks and 30 minutes later nothing. Manager was involved and we were brought one ticket and said don't worry this is your ticket for the night. We thought well lets just stay and order another one.. Short story our waitress comes after we are all done about to leave that she has the first ticket and its over $100 when the manager told us that it was taken care of. The night manager was even worse and tried calling security on us because he swears i was drunk. They charged us every drink double and didn't even care when i asked him to check the cameras to verify this. I am never going to this place ever again in any location and all my family and friends have been warn.

Never ever again, drive by as fast as you can

By Serena S |

Never got food ordered, waitress yelled a crossed the room. Charged for others drinks. Had to get the manager 2x

For NFL games, this place is awesome!

By mshbnyehud |

I joined a Seattle Seahawks Fan Club gathering for Sunday afternoon football and lunch. Everything was just incredible. A dedicated large room with multiple HDTVs, large and small, wonderful sound, and most of all, really good hamburgers and service. I thoroughly enjoyed my tasty, juicy cheeseburger, crispy french fries and added BBQ sauce on the side. This is a high value experience, although truth be told, I didn't go anywhere close to the gaming area.

Perfect place for dorky adult fun

By Andrea P |

Their drinks were amazing! And we are total suckers for video games. Their food is okay, but i preferred their bar more. it was a perfect date night

Mediocre D n B

By ZelPin |

I usually love going to Dave n Busters but this one was just okay and dirty. Cannot rate the food since we didn’t eat here but the games were seriously lacking compared to other locations. Don’t expect much if you visit this type of entertainment places. No go-carts or any kind of ride or driving entertainment. We got bored and left which is unusual for us. Disappointed!

Good food; interesting selections; take plenty of $$ to play the adult arcade games.

Eww, just ewww!

By esstrojenny |

I had a coupon for a $20 game card and took my husband and son. We decided to eat dinner there, too. I sooooo wish we would have gone to Jim's for dinner FIRST, then we wouldn't have wasted $66. There are not enough words to describe the disappointment of the tortilla soup, potato skins, soft taco plate and grilled salmon plate. I will, however, let you know that the main ingredient in the horrible food was salt, salt, and more SALT. I think I might dislike this place more than Rainforest Cafe - maybe they are equals in bad, bad food.

Is this Chuck-E-Cheese?

By L D |

I thought this was a venue for adults...but so many kids! Food was dry, mixed drinks mehhh. Work Xmas party but don't think I'll be back.

Great Family Value

By Louis S |

The dine & play is a great value for family fun. Look for coupons on the back of HEB receipts & sometimes your Six Flags season pass offers an extra $20.00 on your play card. Food is good and filling, but the reason to go is to spend time with your kids. Game winnings can be traded for gifts. Only con is it is like a little Las Vegas for kids...very addicting. Not a bad date place either; great drink specials.

Great selection of games! Drinks..not too strong

By M V |

They have a great selection of games (More than in Albuquerque where I am from). the atmosphere is great! Older folks will feel very comfortable here. Only negative is the drinks are more juice and soda than alcohol. for the price, I was expecting to at least taste the alcohol. Albuquerque Drinks are MUCH better

Excellent Experience

By pnkgirl27 |

We went on June 4, 2015 at 6pm and had excellent meals. Our waitress was very attentive. I had requested my meal be made a certain way and it was done perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with our server and the kitchen staff. We had 3 meals and 3 appetizers and all were perfect. Our visit there was right on target with everything, very professional service. Thank you for the great experience!

First time experience...terrible

By Saw713 |

Never going back to this location! All the tables were dirty and none of them were ever cleaned for the first 30 minutes we were there. I ordered a Philly burger and the meat was reddish pink throughout..didn't eat it. Way to get someone really sick serving meat like that...and especially for the high prices, food should be better than that! Waiter was very unfriendly, never got a single smile. Tried to take our plates away without asking if we were even finished...(i was eating just the fries- which was really the only good thing about the whole experience) Didn't even send the burger back to be cooked properly with already rude service like that!

Off night?

By theaztecprincess |

Have visited several Dave & Buster's and this was the first fail. Cashier at entrance seemed preoccupied and not helpful, manager walked by saw us standing and said nothing. We asked cashier and she mumbled something about dining area and game room so we walked around and were finally greeted by the manager. Waiter was no better and didn't try to sell or explain game deals.

never again...

By regcan514 |

I attended a birthday celebration in january 2010. The food and drinks were ok but the service was terrible. I even tipped well and wasn't taken care of. I had to keep the table clean and ask multiple times for a to-go box. I waited too long for my waiter. My friends plate was taken from her during mid bite. This place was ridiculous. I would never recommend this restaurant for any event. None of the staff greeted me as I entered and they weren't at all professional. Never again!

Humiliated & threatened by a manager

By csantoshern |

It’s a lot to read, but this is only part of what Dave & Busters does on a daily basis to its guest. This review has taken me awhile to write because of how humiliated & embarrassed I felt on on my date night. My date & I went to let go and enjoy each other’s company, the staff knows us pretty well since we’re regulars. During dinner, it was a long wait for our order to be taken, but that was okay considering it was a Saturday & we didn’t mind. During dessert, we noticed 2 pieces of julienned carrots in our cheesecake, they offered us another one. I failed to mention that the second we walked in, we felt as we were being watched. A manager told us not to socialize with the employees (We were getting cards, asking to be seated, asking questions). We headed to the back and played games, still being watched by Manny (manager). We then noticed they had a fantastic new VR experience, my date and I excitedly got in line for it, 2 groups ahead of us so of course we waited and talked amongst ourselves. Finally we were about to be next when I saw the same manager staring at us asking the attendant questions. We get on the ride (loved it), I get off & the employees ask us how our ride was- my date was not even off the steps when the manager (manny) yells at us to leave the building. Yes, yells at me (I am a 20 year old young woman, he is an older bigger gentleman). He tells me I have been distracting the employees, I walk up & try to tell him we were waiting in line, he lies and threatens to call security. By now I’m scared, I’ve never been threatened like that, he was so angry, again he is taller than me, has been watching me all night then yells at me to leave the building. I keep trying to explain i was just waiting in line, he says he’s been watching me & I was distracting everyone, calls security again and tells them I am threatening him. He humiliated me in front of other guest, his employees, and my date. I have never felt more embarrassed than I did that night, I was yelled at by a manager, who didn’t give me a chance to give my side, watched my every move since I walked in making me uncomfortable, and humiliated me in front of strangers, all for what he claimed was “distracting the employees”. This isn’t the first encounter w/ this particular manager. I’ve sent numerous of emails, surveys to corporate & each time they send me an automated email. I’m now banned from Dave & Busters, I know this won’t change everyone’s mind, I just want you to be aware of what you might encounter on a family outing or date night.

Small from what I am used to

By humblewifeandmom |

Small facility. Used to the ones in the Houston area. Overall, clean place, didn't eat but got some good drinks. In a nice location. Would go again if I am so n the area to take the kids for a quick video game run.

Foodball and Food

By TimandTheresa C |

We were in San Anotonio for our son's BMT graduation at Lackland AF. Naturally we had to catch the game to see if our Chief's were going to have home-field advantage for the playoffs. Dave and Busters provided some much needed running around time for our other 3 children while we got to munch on some delicious appetizers. All in all, great service and food! Bathrooms could use a little more attention.

Ehh

By ShootingGirl |

The meal & game card is a decent value IF you think of the food as free, because I sure wouldn't pay for it.

Bit of a Let-down

By CrankingChick |

We were visiting San Antonio again over the Christmas holiday and returned to this Dave & Buster's because we had a good meal there last year. We went early for lunch about 11:30 and it was not busy; there were only a couple of other patrons in the dining area. We had two issues. First,we were disappointed that they no longer offer the plain pretzel twists appetizer we loved, but now they offer a pretzel-bread dish with pepperoni and cheese, and hot dogs wrapped in pretzel dough. The second issue was the server; she was apathetic and obviously did not want to be there. She did not smile although I was trying to be friendly and gave us the minimum amount of interaction. When we expressed our disappointment about the pretzel twists, she just said that they change the menu periodically and did not offer to check if they could make them (since they apparently have the dough). We ordered Apple Pecan Salad, Grilled Portobello and Veggie Sandwich, and California Turkey Melt. The prices are a little high but the food tasted good. The server's flat attitude just put a damper on things.

N-A-S-T-Y.

By eva2691 |

Cheap, way-overpriced bar fare, served lukewarm and with no presentation whatsoever. Cheap, way-overpriced drinks, served lukewarm and with little alcohol. Cheap, way-overpriced midway games. Cheap, way-overpriced "prizes." Dirty bathrooms. Indifferent service. In a word: nasty. (That is all.)

Games are fun...but food is not good

By BushkaTexas |

Recently came here with a group where we had a set menu of sliders, chicken, etc. The food was not good. Even the kids didn't like the meal. The best part of this place are the games. Lots of fun games to choose from and pretty good prizes. Next time we will stick to that part of this place.

Spring Break Fun

By mrsllucas |

Went on a Thursday, not too busy. Customer service was great! Kids had fun with the games. Very pricy for games and food. Wings were great! Onion rings were horrible...cold and burnt (they didn't charge us for them). Fries were cold. Bar burgers were over cooked and stale. Bathrooms were very dirty! Food all over the carpeted floors and stepped on into the floors.

Great food and great fun!

By Julie A |

Food was great. Service was great. Games were great. Love this place.

Bad service!!

By Christi93 |

We were there with our two boys, the had fun playing games while my husband and I sat in the bar area watching and experiencing some of the worst service we have ever seen or had. There was plenty of wait staff but the all seemed very inexperienced. The bartender broke a bottle of beer and instead of cleaning it up the rest of the staff just kept walking over it and crushing it even more into the floor. They never took empty glasses from tables. It was actually entertainment for us to see how horrible service could be!! Oh I almost forgot about the waiter taking a sip out of a drink that had sat on the bar for about 15 mins and then delivering it to a table.

Sports Bar with Video Arcade

By Papagobbler |

Not my cup of tea. Standard Bar Cuisine; however, good selection of Beer. Service was good, but, atmosphere not to my liking. I'm not that into Video Arcades.

great for adult family

Ripped off!

By Shunda R |

We arrived around 8:30 an hour after playing we decided to eat (9:30pm)…. Well D&B decided they weren’t seating any more guests because lack of staff they couldn’t accommodate anymore guests. We were told we could grab a table in the gaming area or bar both on first vine first serve basis. Sat at bar 15 minutes waiter never came. We decided to finish our gaming and grab something on the way to the hotel. THE GAMING CARD… When the kids were checking points they didn’t have near the amount of points they were suppose to. I watched a couple of games and my daughter win 100 tickets…50 tickets…80 tickets for sure but when cashing in points she only had 46 points available. I was just over this place all together. I wonder how often this happens on a busy night

Need new manager and AJ needs to be fired.

By Sandra L |

Our family likes going here every UT game. Always have a good time, but today there was negative attitudes from the staff and in front of the manager. Standing around with arms cross acting like they didn’t want to be there. We ask like always if they can change the tv to watch the game. They always have other college state games on and you would think they would be showing our state, but no. So that seems to be a problem, because they think we are asking too much to change it to UT. When we asked the waitress to request changing the TV she said “We might!”. Well that didn’t settle well with us, because this is why we are here. We always buy 3 entrees, cocktails and desserts, so our bill is usually over $150.00. There we were waiting and the game had already started. The whole time AJ our supposedly waiter was crossed arm looking at us with the group of waitstaff as if mad that we requested to sit at his table facing the TVs. No one waited on us and I asked a waitress and she said she would find out while the manager didn’t care that the staff were walking around or chatting in groups. I went to talk to the bartender who we knew but he said he had no control over seating or the tv. When I came back still no waiter. We got up and then waiter AJ came over and we left and I told the manager that this has never been this bad and I was going to leave a feedback. The company needs to know that she is a terrible manager.

Slow Service at the bar?

By Denrick M |

I visited on a Saturday evening and after reading reviews that said service was slow when it was busy I sat in the bar area rather than waiting 40 minutes for a table and we still waited 20 minutes for drinks. We ordered our meals which was not too long a wait but mine was terrible. I had Bourbon/whiskey ( don't remember the name) half chicken. The chicken tasted and smelled spoiled and the coleslaw was wilted and warm. The server disappeared and didn't comeback with the check, I actually went to seek him out to pay the bill. We had a much better time at the arcade. If you are coming here for a meal when it's busy I recommend sticking to the simple bar menu items. We stills had a great time at the arcade despite the sub-par dining experience. I would give 1 star based on the dining experience alone.

Food is just North of "horrible"!

By HouTexGal |

We've been to Dave & Busters in different cities over the years, and have to say that the recent experience will be our last. While we were seated and drink order taken immediately, it took over 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. This was after my husband had to flag another waiter down. My margarita was a tasteless slush and was promptly sent back. My husband had to go to the bar for a refill as our server was MIA. Service was generally slow even though the dining area we were seated in had only one other table occupied. Overall, the food was a miss. The steak potato cake consists of a frozen has brown with a small portion of sliced steak, tomatoes, and canned nacho cheese sauce and not worth the price. The Lawnmower salad is huge, but the lettuce was wilted and not very palatable. The cheesesteak sandwich was large and good. The grilled chicken was OK. We did not play any games and therefore cannot comment on this.

Fun

Took our 3 year old Great Grandson here when he visited. He had so much fun. He loved all the games. Great experience and very helpful staff.

Ghetto establishment

By worldtraveler9 |

This is a terrible place to take kids. Waitress ran into my child and didn't even apologized Went and approached her to talk to her about it and she was confrotentional instead of apologizing. She must of been from the hood, the manager was no help and was dismissive when didn't even know the whole situation.

Great restaurant! Great gaming experience!

By Jackie B |

Went on a half price game night (pretty sure it was Wednesday) combined with the eat and play combo. We spent around $70, got an appetizer, a great dinner, both of which arrived quickly, and "played" for almost 3 hours. I had a burger, cooked specifically to order. The games were fun and the prizes were exceptional. In the 3 hours we were there we got over 6,000 tickets, well enough for a variety of prizes to take home for the kids. Easy to find, you can see it from the road.

Great food and games

By Rhonda B |

We loved our booth which was like an alcove. The portions were so large we actually took a pic of the Lawnmower Salad! I have never seen this many games in one place and they were all in working order. We bought the $23 game card and it kept our 12 year old busy for about 1 1/2 hours.

Always fun!

By ayers002 |

We always have a fun time here. Despite how understandably busy it was, things ran smoothly for us. We sat at the bar in the game room to eat and watch the NCAA tourney and there was no wait like the main dining area. As a patron you’ve just gotta be smarter than complain about a wait - find other alternatives like we did. Food was good, our server Kevin was very friendly and professional and the manager Sean Garcia was top notch! The police officer on duty, Hector, had a watchful eye and made my wife feel safe. D&B will see us back for sure!

Exceptionally well managed!

By Gary B |

Dave and Busters is always a great time. Bill Hicks is one of the managers and he treated us like we were family. The staff is helpful, the games are fun and somewhat addictive, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The apple salad, burgers, philly cheesesteak all were tasty. Highly recommend you try it out, but bring some money as you will want to play for hours!

Downhill Fast!

By Aggie5678 |

Took the family to Dave & Buster's for a last hurrah before school started. We should have gone elsewhere. It was 2:30 so not the usual lunch rush and hour waiter was absent most of the meal. The food was subpar. The keg beer had a funny taste and the Long Island Ice Tea had to be a premix. The bathrooms were absolutley disgusting. Words can't describe the their condition. Dave and Buster's was the place to go and maybe today was an off day but our visit was regrettable!

The worst location

By Oshi5491 |

Dear Dave and Buster's This location is by far the worst location i have ever been to. The service was nice, but everything was wrong. The bar itself inside the game area was trashed, empty drinks everywhere and sticky all over the counter tops, the bartender didn’t seem to care either. Took her 10 minutes to acknowledge that we were sitting at the bar. Then we sat down at a table in the restaurant section, The food came out wrong 3x. The first issue i have is, why in the world would you bring out dessert first that makes no sense. We ordered the chicken fingers and fries and we did the upcharge for sweet potatoes fries and both orders came out with normal fries. Then the food still hasn't come out and they bring back the dessert again. They didn't have hummus at all and the manager bobbi said its a new menu and they removed hummus from the menu. Which absolutely makes no sense either, why have something on the menu, if you cant even order it. The tomato soup was actually just warmed up marianara sauce for the mozzeralla sticks that we didnt even order. Then the food came out and the burger was ordered without cheese and they still brought cheese out, half of the table ordered the food to-go because we were here for the air force graduation and we needed to be back by a certain time and they brought all the food on plates. Bobbi the manager said things would be removed to make it right but it wasnt made right. The dessert wasnt removed from the bill. I personally think a corporate manager needs to go into this location and make it run smoothly. The bathroom by the game room in the back corner smelled like sewage was spilling out the toilets. Warm Regards

Thumbs down

By Freido90 |

The service was slow and very inattentive. Both our orders were messed up. The foods low quality and expensive. The games were fun though. All and all I was disappointed.

Awesome WEDNESDAY

Twenty bucks per person for: all you can play; unlimited fries and buffalo wings. Nice cool and fun environment. Kids had a blast

Not worth the wait!!!

By TR0512 |

I went to the new location in downtown San Antonio. I can only give this spot 2 stars and that's because the bar. The bartendars are great and the bar is huge and drinks were great. Outside of the bar is when things went downhill for me. I ordered the philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries and when it was brought to me, it was completely over seasoned. It was so salty that I couldn't eat any of it. Just imagine someone leaving the top of the salt shaker lose and the salt spills all over your food, that's how my food tasted. I tell the waitor it was too salty and I couldn't eat it and he immediately takes it and walks away not asking me if I wanted them to make it over or even apologizing. He didn't even give me a chance to even ask for something else. To top it off, I was charged for a meal that I didn't eat. I wasn't looking for anything free but just to have my meal remade or to have the opportunity to select something else. I won't say "never" but it's highly unlikely I would come back here to dine. Customer Service is huge for me so when I go to a place that lacks that, it's not hard for me to take my business elsewhere. As stated before, the bar was great but there are other places in San Antonio I can go for good drinks and cheaper so not sure if this would be a "go to" place for me. If you have kids, I guess this would be a good place to let them run off some energy but eat somewhere else. I didn't complain to management because it was someone's bday and I didn't want to make a scene. I was hoping the server would take care of the problem.

Not as good as normal

By Jason B |

This D&B must be new. The food was not as good as the other D&Bs I have been to and the service was horrible. 2 different people came 3 different times to ask us what we ordered. They finally figured out the we just wanted 2 philly cheese steaks and 2 salads with ranch. Why did they have to come back 3 times and verify that is what we ordered.

First time coming to this location sat at the bar and I recommend Diana she is amazing great personality and she knows exactly how to fix a drink. Great customer service

Great!!

This is a great place to dine and have fun/great time with family. Wonderful dish and appetizers to choose from. I would recommend this resturaunt to all my friends and family if they are looking to dine and have a great time.

Bathroom had terrible smells. Backed up sewer.

By Arlene G |

Needless to say . Ordered fish and chips. Fish to greasy to eat. Nachos old chips and cheese sauce mixed with meat was terrible. Bathroom were dirty and had a foul smell throughout like a backup sewer line. Server came a few times but never really asked us why we were not eating. Busser came took all.food away. Had not been here in over a year due to a bad experience. Now I remember why. Kids had free cards to use that were given to us last year for us to return. Has not improved. From what I saw it's gotten worse.

New Games Old Problems Plus "VERY EXPENSIVE"

Not worth the Disappointment of Food, Beer and points per game are Ridiculously Disappointing after $100.00 in less than an hour! Better Places out there!

LOVED IT

By MK TRAVELS |

Awesome spot for adults when u go late at night.! Me and hubby went and had a blast. Drinks music and games. Food was actually good !!

D&B

By Warren W |

Sat at the bar and Kelly was the bartender. She gave me some honest recommendations from the menu which was nice. All too often you get the selling line of "Everything is great!" I had a couple of IPA's and the Balsamic Glazed Chicken. Beer was OK and the chicken needed some more seasoning but not bad.

new years eve

By cindy s |

We took the kids to Dave and Buster's New Year's Eve party and had a blast!! The service was wonderful, the management and servers were really intent on making the evening great for the people attending. We had a nice all you can eat buffet and unlimited games for the evening for a very reasonable price. Thanks for a great evening!!

Good Food and Family Fun

By Stay617432 |

Spent the afternoon here with our grown children. The food was great and the service was above average. We all revisited our childhood and had a blast!

Good food and fun games

By rickym1957 |

Had the chicken pasta as the main course and cheese sticks as the appetizer. At first I thought it was expensive, but I was able to get two full meals out of it. The food had a very good flavor. Played games after eating. The game room was large and had a nice variety of games. My favorites are the race cars and Deal or No Deal. Will definitely return.

Poor service

By Brianne S |

The food was delicious but the service was terrible our waiter got something wrong on our order and by the time we got what we had ordered we finished eating, he barely came by it wasn't even that busy either

DAVE & BUSTERS- Often overlooked

By Nick R |

Usually, i try not to cover "chain" restaurants, but because they CAN vary from location to location, i went ahead and covered the one in San Antonio...plus it is at a major traveler's intersection. We were 6 adults, one minor, and 3 children under 10 years old. There are plenty of tables everywhere...from very nice, quiet mood lit tables in the restaurant section up front, to the gaming area where we sat. We ordered beer on draft in 100 ounce "towers" which have their own serve spout, awesome! my son ordered their famous "million dollar" margarita but was disappointed when he discovered that there was little or no alcohol in it. For appetizers they have onion rings, fries, spinach dip and all of the favorites plus I got the "potato poppers" which were little round potato balls that were delicious. Other good stuff we ordered were the "boneless buffalo wings", the "black bean nachos" and the mini 'pretzel dogs". You can order more expensive items like steak, fajitas, etc. but we stuck with the basics. All of it was good. We loved the fact that kids did not bugg us because the games kept them occupied...some of the kid's games allowed them to accumulate "tickets" which can be redeemed later for toys and prizes. But adults can have plenty of fun because some of the games are adult oriented. The manager even came by and sat with us to make sure we were doing ok...good move, shows interest in the business. The waitress was outstanding...we were difficult to handle but she pulled through with flying colors and was rewarded with a healthy tip and a good word to the manager. i totally recommend this location of Dave & Buster's...pricing was very reasonable too. ENJOY!

It was ok

By Misty L |

This was my first time to visit and it was somewhat of a let down. I was expecting something much more exciting. Online it shows bowling and many other activities and this one didn’t have anything like it. It was like going to the arcade at the mall. Food was very lacking and our waitress was very rude.

Good Food and Fun

By Stacey S |

Great burgers and flavorful philly sandwiches. Friendly service and descent wait time on food. I suggest ordering the meal with a game card for the little people. Wednesday had double the points you pay for👍🏼 my kids played for a long time on $25($50once doubles) nearly all games were operational, major plus. Games for all ages. Kids racked up on tickets and everyone went home happy.

Bad service

By Laura N |

The first night we tried to go, they were charging a cover fee of $15 PER PERSON for the UFC fight so we left because who pays for that and on top of buying credits? Not us. Anways we returned the next night and decided to have dinner there. We were seated in the dinning area and didn't have anyone come take our drink order until after 10 mins. Not even sure why the hostess sat us there when nobody covered that area. Everyone that worked there walked by our table like they didn't want to work or just didn't care about the customers. Our waiter, can't remember his name, but he ended up having to wait the whole area and plus some since his staff didn't want to do there job. He was very kind and got our order in right away. He still greeted us very friendly and was nice although we know how he really felt. But the food was lukewarm to cold when I got it so that was a bummer for me. After eating we went to play a bit and that was the only part I can say was good, because we didn't have to be bothered by unhelpful staff there. I won't come here to eat again.

Good time

By stephene548 |

Clean atmosphere, good food and drinks. Great for parties, reunions, or watching the game. A great time for the kids too.

What you'd expect from a Dave & Busters, maybe a little less

By Manbyk |

Ding, ding, ding, bells, lots of noise, but that is what you are in for. We opted to go on a Thursday, late afternoon, to avoid the wild crowds on weekends. We were successful but as any good manager would do, he or she had a reduced staff. The previous deal of $20 for unlimited chicken wings & games offered a few days earlier was no longer offered. Regardless (I love chicken wings), I went with the wings but was wildly dissapointed. Simply deep frying wings, tossing hot sauce on top, doesn't cut it. Greasy, messy, in a basket of greasy, limp fries, yuk. Never again, don't waste your money.

Fun Fun Fun

My daughter loved all the games and they had great food and drinks. We are so going there on our next vacation.

Family Fun with My Beautiful Bratz

Had a great time with my family as known as my Baby Bratz. I enjoy watching them play games, laughing and being bratz. I love my family and spending time with them, because they grow so fast.

Dirty place

By Jessica F |

This restaurant was very dirty. Trash cans outside were overloaded with trash. Cigarette butts all over the ground. The bathrooms were horrible. And it wasnt even very busy. The service was great. Your paying for the games not the food. The food was just okay.

Bar is cool, food is good, service needs help.

By Dominic23 |

I have been going to D&B for years. I just went last week, after seeing they were renovating it and updating the place. On the positive side, the new look is modern and great. The food has always been average but then again, this is not a fine-dining place. If you compare it to a Chili's or another type of chain restaurant, it's about the same or maybe even a little better to be fair. For kids, this is heaven. For families, this is fun. Also, most of the time, it's a great place and atmosphere to catch a sporting event. As for service, honestly, it's always hit and miss. Last week, it was the worst service I've ever had. There were just 5-6 of us patrons around the bar area and there were 2-3 staff members just sitting, joking loudly and playing around while some people waited for their food and drinks. Though I could, I won't mention any names since I don't think it's fair to get anyone in trouble. Besides, in my experience, D&B is not a bad place at all - it's actually a fun place and that's why I keep going. They just need to up their service game. If they solve their service issues and train their staff properly, I will continue to be a loyal patron. Try it for yourself though, the kids will love it.

Average

By wermoving_purchases |

Mid level quality of food...no line for games at the time I went...that was great! Kind of what you expect...overpriced food and prizes...but everything in one place. Our friend's kids had a great time.

Staff sucks!!!

By Diana4262 |

Took 20 min to order a drink...the bar had two couples seated there and there were 3 bartenders. Another couple arrived and immediately ordered a drink. Finally ordered and they were out of the beer I wanted. We tried to order food but no one would come near us to take our order so we gave up. Headed to the shuffle board table and 2 wait staff left as soon as they saw us coming, so again we didn't get to order food...left right after the only one game we played. Oh ya and the score board wasn't even working. Horrible service for an overpriced atmosphere. Never again will this be on our rainy day list of things to do. Staff comes off as though they are annoyed that people are actually here and they have to use customer service skills...they weren't used so maybe they don't have any. Management should hire better staff! Your better off going...ANY WHERE ELSE!!!!

Loved it!

By pldhund |

Excellent food and outstanding service. First one I've ever been to and I look forward to my next visit. Kids had a blast and the beer was cold!

This place is a blast!

I have only been here once, but I can't wait to go back! This place has everything! Food, games, prizes. This place is a blast for both children and adults! I didn't take any children with me, just a few close friends and we had so much fun. The food is good and the games are fun. Highly, HIGHLY recommend! The staff is great and friendly, also!

Fading Fast

By Jesse Z |

Used to go here a lot with my family back in the early 2000s and decided to check it out for a Cowboys preseason game since we were in the area. Why not large projectors good food and some games for the kidos. I was surprised to see how much they had let the game and food area go. Most of the 50's style both seats were torn or cut up. The carpeting was faded and also torn. Most of the tables were piled with dishes and what not. It was pretty packed in the forward eating sections which looked ok but there was no Cowboys game on any of the screens which is just odd in Texas. When asked the staff looked puzzled as if the game was on. Now its preseason so yeah that can happen but when its a part of your business you should know. We left having found it near impossible to get table in the front and with no game option . Hopefully they get new seats for the game room.

Great Food and Fun

By Jorge T |

This place is very cool. We had fun with our grandkids. Cool games for them and awesome games for adults as well. Be prepared to spend some money though, everything is ridiculously over priced. We would certainly come again but we'd save money first.

Worst Location Ever

By David |

The only reason I have this location one star is because I am unable to give it zero stars. This location's kitchen was closed, so extremely limited food items. Attempted to call multiple times prior to visit and got sent to voicemail each time. Ended up contacting corporate number. NO birthday specials or packages when asking the employee at the front desk. Multiple police vehicles sped to front entrance as we were arriving. Cannot in good conscience recommend this location.

Games make up for food

By GuynamedRicky |

The food here isnt exactly all that... But a place with a bar INSIDE the game room? And billiards on the other side? Now THAT'S my kinda place! Awesome video games, tons of fun and decent prices. As well as plenty of cool prizes to take home with your tickets you win! Bar has a good variety of drinks and some games even have a call switch you can flip on so you dont even have to leave your game to order a drink! How cool is that?! Tables a most of the games to set your drink down while you play. Good variety of video games. If you're like me and like video games and alcohol... you'll never want to leave!

Games are better than the food

By PBecho2580 |

I always have a great time here even though the food isn't that great. Food usually takes a while to arrive. Fries there usually get cold. You can get great deals if you are staying at a hotel. Sometimes hotels carry placemats that have coupons. In this case, I got $40 worth of games for the price of $20 due to the coupon I had cut out back at the hotel. Great place to catch a little buzz and have a great time with games. I do wish that it was only for adults for a certain time. You see babies and kids running around at 2 in the morning.

Nice place!

By Fromeptx |

First time visiting Dave & Busters and must say it was a great visit. For being a restaurant with alot of visitors and food, it smelled really great. Game room was nice and kids had tons of fun. The only downside was that plates for the price they are being sold at are not enough to make you full. And alcohol being sold at the game room where kids are playing and enjoying their visit you see people walking around with beers on their hands. Will probably visit again but in the daytime.

From bad to great in a flash

By Mark O |

Went to Dave and Busters for my daughter's 17th birthday celebration. The evening started off pretty rough. The service seemed slow and the waiters and waitresses seemed overwhelmed. But after meeting with the manager, who took the time to meet with us, then all changed. A night that I thought would be a disaster turned into a tremendous blessing. Ended up having some great conversations with staff and they did over and above to compensate for our mishaps. So the 5 stars is for the comeback. Almost like watching your favorite team about to blow it and then before you know it your celebrating like you're playing. Well done guys.

Late Afternoon Treat

By KGuad |

Went to eat and play for an early dinner, between 3 and 4. Right before the place gets busy. Wait staff was great and never missed a beat. Manager came by to ensure all was well. Tried the new Trio of Dips for Nachos, Cheese, Beans and Guacamole was excellent. Hamburger for my son cooked very well. My son was able to play his fill of games as I sat and enjoyed my dinner. Again, from the lady at the front counter to the wait staff and the manager, all very welcoming and makes you want to come back.

Family time

By Jessica C |

Love bringing our kid here to hang out and have family fun. The food is pretty good too!! We come here at least once a month just to get out of the house. It is a little pricey but my kid loves it. It is worth it just to see her laugh and have a good time.

Dave & Busters is always good entertainment

By Cangrum |

I was kinda disappointed in the inattentiveness of the wait staff. The food is also slightly expensive. It's definitely a place where you need to be prepared to spend.

Fun games, good food!

By RachelSpahr |

I was in town for Air Force training and this was my first time at Dave and Buster's. I had so much fun! I forgot the actual name of the drink I ordered, but it was like an alcoholic snow cone and it was really good! I had a shrimp basket with fries which was excellent. My friends and I had a lot of fun playing games and shooting pool. It did take a while for us to get our food, but our waiter was really nice and kept checking on us throughout our meal.

Good place for the family

By Mounsi M |

I came here with my family which includes a teen (14) young adult (23) my husband and myself whom are in our forties and we all had a good time, the game room is huge and has many arcade games and things to play, it also has a sports area which was good for my husband and oldest child since they had all the updated games on. The food is good although we had to wait a lot for it, the price was good since I paid a two for one deal, if you buy an entree you get a $10 game card “free”. I would recommend since it’s fun and you can be there for a couple of hours

Absolute Worst Service I've Ever Experienced

By Kara F |

Unfortunately, this was my first and only Dave and Buster's experience. We were a group of 4 adults and arrived at the restraunt at 7 pm. There were 3 groups (families) in front of us to be seated and were seated right away. When it was our turn we were told it was a 30 minute wait but we could seat ourselves in the back by the games. As we walk back to the game area to sit down we can clearly see tables and booths open...So we don't know why there was a wait. When we get to the back there are NO clean tables. So we wait a few minutes but after a while we had to ask TWICE to get them to clean a table so we could sit down. We finally sit down at 7:30 pm. We ordered soon after that but at 9 pm we still hadn't received our food! My friend went to talk to the manager who said he would see what was going on. As we were about to walk out because we're starving at this point, we finally got our food at 9:15 pm...2 hours after we got to the restraunt! The manager said he would take care of it so we got our meal for free, but my friends and I are not coming here again, and don't recommend this place to eat or have fun.

2 Happy Hours!

By McStew |

We visited D&B in San Antonio while on vacation. Only a few miles from downtown SA. The staff was friendly and the games were reasonably priced. We had so much fun we went back for a second night of fun. Tip- catch the Happy Hours. They run 2 a day. We had our share of Coronaritas and Snocones and our tab was below $40. Nachos are huge! Enjoy!!!

Save the money, eat somewhere else.

By Leslie K |

We wanted to eat in the games section. Mistake # 1. The tables that were available were dirty. We waited by one for 10 min for someone to clean it. Finally gave up and did it ourselves. Finally, 5 min after that, a server showed up. Ordered food based on her answers to our questions, that were WRONG. Salad with pecans and chicken, came without chicken. The appetizer sampler (potato skins, cheese sticks, and wings) was smaller than she said. We didn't get a chance to get refills on drinks, until we were done with food. The games area was as good as usual. The food though, No Thank You!

Poor service/management

By Melissa B |

Went on Saturday/valentines Day with 9 people in our party to celebrate my 10yr old son's birthday. There was a 45 min. wait for a table in the dining area but we managed to get a table in the gaming area so that's where we ended up. The table was dirty, waitress asked if we minded waiting for it to be cleaned until she returned from a break. I said ok. She took a long time, took the drink orders and that too was a wait. Bar had 2 tending it on this very busy night. Forgot sons water, I had to try and flag someone down at bar to get it myself after about 20 min. Then the food came, I ordered the food and play combo, and the penne was cold. Medium well steak was overcooked. She forgot our game cards that come with the meal. Manager came around and asked how things were. We told him we weren't happy. He says,"sorry, she's in a fragile state"..what does that mean? She should have stayed home. He compensated us with an extra game card. Bill comes, she forgot to separate it, other party was over charged. One person in our party had ended up ordering at the bar because she had disappeared. We again complained to a different manager named Jason White who was a condescending jerk. "you DO know you came on a busy night?" He says to me. What the hell does THAT mean? Customer service should be up to par whether it's busy or not! I was livid with him. He proceeds to tell me the main manager was not there. Bar manager appeared again later to fix the bills and give us $50 on our next visit. My boyfriend handed the vouchers back. Told him to compensate us NOW, we wouldn't be going back anytime soon. He did. Go there if you want to play games, on a full stomach. Hopefully the management will soon pull a major overhaul on their customer service. And properly staff the bar on a BUSY night! Ridiculous.

We started off with the pretzel dogs, myriah tried her best. The appetizer arrived in a timely manner but our drinks took almost 15 minutes to get to our table. I took that as a bad omen and decided to go ahead and place our order, my wife ordered chicken quesadilla, My daughter ordered bacon Mac and cheese And I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries. The food was all good, but not exceptional.....very generic. Service was good, when she did make her way to our table. The only real reason to eat at Dave and Buster's is if you get hungry while playing games. Don't go there only for the food.

Good for a few hours of fun

This was the first time I had been to a D&B. We went for lunch on a Monday and got the eat and play deal. For about $100, our family of four had a very good meal and got to play games for about three hours. Everything was clean, and most of the games worked. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definately return the next time we are in San Antonio.

???can't decide
