Boating to Dave & Busters

By steveplotkin |

Boated up the Delaware River to the docks alongside Dave & Busters and tied up. A great place for kids if you can take the noise in the back where the amusements are. Reasonable food, experienced help.

Great Family Night

By Kelly P |

We went here for a family dinner and had a GREAT time. Bill our server was one of the best servers I have had at any restaurant. even if he wants to be known as a great bass player he is a great server. He helped us make out choices off the menu as it was our first visit and his choices were great. I would recommend this for a family dinner and not a romantic dinner as the games in the back are aimed more for a group night out.

Expensive but Fun

By AllyBeeds |

The food is expensive but very good. The bar is expensive but good. The fun is expensive but good.

great time

By Spicegirl35 |

food good at the one in franklin mills and the games are so much fun. go on Wednesdays and games are half priced good deal. they also send you offer by email for deals and they have 2 happy hours. bowling plenty to keep you busy. recommend for anyone 10 and over anyone younger may have hard time playing games and reaching peddels

Service sucks but games are fun

By Inspiration725360 |

So we were in the area and wanted to kill time before our flight. The service here pretty much sucks. We sat in the arcade section in a booth and the server took our order. Someone else brought it out. 1 order was incorrect I had to get up and ask the bartender for help. The manager came over to our table and corrected the order. The chicken tenders are bland. Usually you can’t go wrong with chicken tenders 😬Games are fun!

Great management

By Joe C |

We had a great time in the arcade. We had a few issues at dinner but the manager was great. They really know how to treat their guests. We would definitely go back.

Love it!

By abeeds |

The arcade is fun but the pool tables are fantastic and the food never disappoints. A little pricey but worth it.

Food was better than expected, but service could be better

By cincydoc2011 |

Went to D&B because it was within walking distance of my hotel near Penns Landing and this really was the only reasonably priced restaurant within 1/2 mile of the hotel. I went on a Saturday night, which probably was a mistake as it appears to be a very popular place for games and sports. There was a 1/2 hour wait at about 9 p.m. There were many empty tables, but apparently not enough wait staff to keep them all full at one time. They do have a very nice wait system, however, and if you have an app named Nowait, you can tell real-time how many table requests are ahead of yours and the approximate wait time. They don't have pagers, but they contact you on you phone when table is ready. We went to the bar to wait, but unfortunately, there were not enough waiter/waitresses to cover the bar area and I did not feel like pushing my way to get the attention of a bartender so i remained seated and talking with my companion. So, after 1/2 hour we were seated, as had been estimated. There was a shortage of wait staff that likely resulted in delays in ordering and in getting food. Food was not cold but was not as hot as I would have liked. The waitress was friendly and engaging but seemed to be a bit overwhelmed at times. The prices were reasonable. The food was generally well-prepared. I would not say that I would avoid this place, however, I had no interest in gaming and I would not have gone here if there were other reasonable dining alternatives nearby and if it had not been such a cold blustery night!

Kids, kids, kids...

By Beverly T |

Definitely a place for kids and young adults. If you don't like loud noise, don't go. They are currently remodeling so not only is it noisy from the games but also from construction. But that's what it's all about! The fun and games. The food was decent but felt like I had to spend money at the arcade games. So if you want your eating experience to be a fun time also, I suggeset you try it. It's like a boardwalk arcade in your dining room.

Circus party

By 1sjferret |

The place was way more then an eating establishment. Not only do they have good food but there is all kinds of games where you can win tickets and then trade then for various gifts.

Go for the fun, not the food!!

By Nunya B |

Although, the Dave & Buster's in Plymouth Meeting is far more disgusting, when it comes to the food, this place isn't far behind... There are so many fun things to do - it's great entertainment, even for adults. It's also a great place to have a "team event" or something for a company. I like how they keep the gaming part somewhat separated from the eating area at this one UNLIKE the one in Plymouth Meeting which is basically pure mayhem. I realize they have the "upstairs area for eating and another bar, but who really goes to Dave & Busters for the food? Especially when you order nachos and they come out floppy due to grease saturation and the cheese to dip them in is as thin as water. Orange, salty water... Bleh...

Great time

By Coady30 |

I have been to Dave & Buster's a few times, I even had my 21st birthday there and this place is great. The food is good, the drinks are fun (and strong!) and there are games! Something for everyone!

A great place to take kids

By cjg1950 |

The food here is OK but the games available make it a great place to take kids who are old enough to play them. It's a boardwalk arcade to the nth degree.

Worst customer service ever experienced!

By Chris61288 |

I had a waiter named Ken who had all the orders mixed up. I barely saw him come back to the table to check on us. He didn't have any drinks right, and wanted to rush us out of the bar while watching the game. I never experienced this at Dave and Busters until this day. Then I talked to the manager available on the night shift and he completely blew me off and took up for his employee. I will never recommend any to come here.

fun but drinks r costly

By carin p |

We had a good time. They have decent deals. Alcohol is very expensive. Its expensive but they do offer decent deals that you can do. And the staff was good too. No problems with that.

Sit down and relax with yummy food.

By jhd28 |

This restaurant was close to our hotel near Penn's Landing. The service was wonderful - sorry didn't get the name of our waiter, but he did a nice job. Food was good and we could just sit an relax after walking our feet off all day. We didn't play the games as we were tired, but they have a lot of stuff to do here.

Fun place, fowl food

By Leoraotr |

Place is fun. Food is moderately okay, drinks are average at best. Wait staff could use some additional training with people skills. Customer service is my top indicator as which to decide if I'll return to an establishment again. That will be my last visit to the Philadelphia D&B

Nice lunch

By PhillyJaxs |

My friend is leaving work to start a new job and we wanted to take her out to lunch to celebrate. She chose D&B. We got there around 12:45pm and it wasn't crowded. I was surprised because when I used to come regularly it was always busy at lunch time. We got seated right away. Our server, Ashley, came over and took our drink order. My friend wanted tonic water but they didn't have it. She then asked for ice tea, sweetened but didn't have that either. She settled for lemonade. I ordered the Boss Chicken sandwich which is grilled chicken on a whole grain bun topped with applewood bacon, breaded fried onions, lettuce, tomatoes with a garlic mayo. The chicken was juicy and the garlic mayo added a nice flavor. As with most sandwiches my bun fell apart so I cut it up and finished it off using my fork. My sandwich came with fries and these fries were done right. Not greasy or salty; for me hands down best fries. My sister agreed especially since she helped herself to them (just kidding sis). The rest of the group was happy with their meals - fried shrimp w/ fries, chicken and pasta w/Alfredo sauce and penne pasta with spinach and artichokes. Our bill was $70 which is reasonable. I'll definitely will be coming back for a meal and to play some games. Btw parking is free.

Better of 2 in Philly

By Joseph S |

Went here on 7/19 before Taylor Swift concert. Had been to Franklin Mills one before. Decided to check this one out because it was closer to the "Linc". Had a late lunch that was nothing special but more than adequate. Didn't come expecting gourmet but had plenty to eat. We did the Power Card deal so the kids could play in the arcade after. Games are actually a little expensive but it was what we expected. The kids had a blast playing and it was hard not to put extra points on the card. Anyway, the real highlight of the evening was when we went to the bar area teach the kids how to play shuffleboard. They loved it!! We must have spent over a hour playing shuffleboard. Both kids said it was the best part. In fact, my son he would forget about the arcade and do the shuffleboard only next time. The only real downer was when I went to the bar for soda's and had the barmaid ignore me. She was too busy chatting with a girlfriend to notice. Finally, her friend told her a customer was waiting. Later, the same thing happened with another bartender. Having been a bartender for 15 yrs. I know what it takes. The place wasn't so busy that anyone had to wait. Overall, we would still go back for the fun. .

Great Family Reunion Venue

By beverlyh482 |

Our family reunion's banquet was held here. The room was spacious, audio-visual equipment great, food was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised!

Uuuughhh....

By RachelBea |

Gigantic Chuck E. Cheese's for adults, complete with all of the weird people and that sticky film covering everything. Someone we knew decided to have people go to Dave & Buster's for their birthday. I can't believe people frequent this type of place on their own free will. Noisy, Crowded, Dirty. Like an indoor carnival that happens to be attached to an airport Ruby Tuesday's. The deck bar was our saving grace. there was a nice jazz band out there, no crowds, and a really nice bartender. I'd take the mosquitos on the deck to the bad trip that was the inside of Dave & Buster's anyday (if I had to choose). Thankfully, I can choose not to ever go there again.

Good and slow

By tpr7340 |

Service was friendly, but slow. Restaurant at 25% capacity, so there really is no reason for the slow service. That being said, my caprese salad was really good, and the parmigiana chicken was good considering it came from an arcade. All in all, food was better than expected, now the service needs to step up.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

By Christopher R |

It was a very unpleasant visit it took 35 mins.to recieve any service then it took twice as long to recieve my drinks at the sports bar 9 people working behind the bar and it was not busy

OK for a Quick Bite

By shop4ever |

My friends and I were shopping for the day and stopped here for lunch. The server was wonderful. The management did stop by twice to see if we were happy with our meals which we were. We had burgers and salads that were all OK. I would come again for lunch.

FUN!

By Mike E |

Good food, good service, and a lot of fun. Arcade games and pool tables as well. Great for adults and families with kids!

Great Service - Great Food for an unannounced group of 20+

By Jennifer R |

Our group of 25 stopped in for lunch on November 16 without a reservation and the Dave and Busters staff was amazing. The bartender and team jumped into action and took great care of us. The food was amazing. We did not have to wait long for our food. The Dave and Busters team get a 100% for excellent service, great food, friendly service - we can not thank you enough. Great job and many, many thanks to each and everyone of you!

A little trashy, but games are always fun.

Average D&B

By Yatzel F |

We had fun. We ended up coming here 3 times because my kid loved it so much. The bathrooms were clean, the table areas were picked up fairly quickly despite the amount of people, and staff was friendly.

Lots of Fun

By Jennifer P |

Lots of fun and well priced food a lot of fun! Super fun atmosphere and large enough to accomadate as many as you need!

Not bad.

By Claudia B |

I meet some friends here after work to unwind and grab a bite and dinner. The service was pretty friendly for Philly and food was not bard for bar fair. We had a blast in the arcade and let loose on the air hockey. Good Fun.

Over-priced average food

By Patrolthatsnow |

From the second we walked into the place it was an unorganized mess of people. After waiting in line for 20 minutes at the host stand to put our name in for a table, they told us we had about a 2.5-3 hour wait. Of course we went on a Saturday night, and we did have a larger party, so a long wait was to be expected. But 3 hours?! We ended up playing arcade games and waiting for our table (turned out to only be about 1.5 hour wait). We went to the host stand when we got the text that our table was ready. They told us they just had to clean off a table and for us to go stand by it. Ok... So we stood next to a dirty table for 15 minutes and finally sat down. At the dirty table. Gross. At this point we were all so hungry, we really didn't care. After waiting for our drinks for another 20 minutes, we finally got our food about an hour later. Seriously THE WORST organization and service ever. The waiter was really giving effort, and i don't blame him at all. He was trying his best but was obviously overwhelmed. I definitely blame management and the restaurant for being understaffed. I'm sure they can afford to hire a few more people judging by the $7 beers. Another thing, it's illegal to charge people 18% gratuity. Which we were charged. The least the waiter could have done was inform us of the charge. That is completely uncalled for. Side note- the table we had was near the bar and it smelled like puke and disgusting old food. Maybe we just picked the wrong night to go. I would give it one more try, maybe on a week night when it's less crowded. Pros- arcade games were fun and you do get a decent amount of points for your money. Cons- service, organization, average food that was extremely overpriced, cleanliness (trash ALL over the floor)

Food, fun and games on the waterfront. Easy to get to.

By seashell482003 |

Great food, fun and plenty of games for kids and adults. Bar and restaurant for adults to enjoy..casual dress and all on the waterfront.

Food is going down hill.

By JimwithJen |

We would eat here at least once a month. Kids loved the games and I enjoyed a good meal back them. Now I think they have gone corporate and the food has crashed and burned. One manager told me they could not keep preparing everything fresh with all the people. So I have help them by not going any more. I can only hope they get a few less customers so they can start serving good quality food again.

Well the kids love it....

By TBRacingLover |

That about sums it up... 'The kids love it'.... it could use a good cleaning though !!! Take your hand sanitizer with you.

Good food and fun for All

Great Place for kids!!!!

By rjamnew |

we went earlier in the evening and in the middle of the week. After reading the reviews about the adults and drinking I realised that it is a great place for kids..during Kid hours, I would not bring my kids there on the weekend or later at night. check the por porst schedule...if there is a big game don't bring your kids etc.... But at 6:00 on a tuesday it was PERFECT and the food and service was really okay for this type of place. It was better than going to a "Chucky Cheese" and much more fun!!!! I was really surprised and happy with the experience!

fun

By Bill S |

the food is good, but this place is just fun! Like the boardwalk arcades of old, games and excitement abounds

Dave + Busters Semi Trucks Completely Block Delaware River Trail, forcing Pedestrians into Traffic

By Flyer42064016086 |

I am very disappointed in this business. They are located right on the Delaware River Trail, which is a tremendously popular running, walking, and cycling trail. There are constantly people moving along this trail enjoying the exercise or commuting safely. I don't own a car and for 2 years, I biked along the Delaware River Trail to get to work. Dave + Busters lets their semi delivery trucks completely block this trail while they are unloading. This forces pedestrians, runners, and cyclists into the extremely busy traffic along Delaware Ave. This is extremely unsafe and I am frankly shocked that this status quo is acceptable. I would recommend that they switch to smaller delivery trucks or schedule deliveries at non-peak times. This business is being a bad neighbor and forcing vulnerable trail users into unsafe conditions.

Never again

By Paul D |

yeah not going back here again. We went to the bar in the arcade, bar was disgusting, not wiped down, bartenders standing around eating and threw our menus at us. The menu was sticky and gross and had red syrup all over the top. Left to go to the front bar, that was FAR WORSE. Bartender said, " you gonna need menus"? Great first impression and sorry to bother you but yes we will need menus. She literally threw them at us. I looked at my wife and said, "were out". Never again.

Always good and D & B

By Liverbow |

I went to lunch at Dave & Busters to celebrate a friend's new job. This was not my first time here. I had been here several times before. I was there with three other people for lunch. I had one of their new meals, grilled chicken strips, spinach, artichokes over pasta with shaved cheese on top. It was very good ( I ate the whole thing). I had an ice tea. Our server was Ashley, who was friendly and attentive during our meal. The atmosphere was quite and not busy at that time of the day. We had left by 1:45 PM. There was also plenty of parking. We got a spot right near the door. I had a good time and those with me agreed. I will go back again soon.

No kids after 10pm

By jim2968 |

We went on a Saturday night to go to a video game place and they don't let kids in after 10pm. A kids place but no kids. Shocking.

Good food and great games

By RStevens88 |

The food was good and we all enjoyed the games. Some of the games were pricey though which ate up our money on the game card really fast. But over all we had a great time and will be back in the future.

Nieces 9th birthday party

By Felisha W |

A tad pricy I won't be back for awhile Burgers are $11 and $13 my god your best bet is to find a few specials that won't break your pockets

Lots of fun!

By luv2travel721 |

If you enjoy arcade games, this is a great place to go! I wouldn't bring kids during later hours or when a game is on. It's more of an adult arcade. The food is decent, like any other chain restaurant: Friday's, Applebees, etc. Some of the games didn't work right, but if you call an employee over, they'll fix the issue and get you back any credit you lost.

Good place to watch sports

By John L |

Lots of huge TV screens. The service was very slow but, I wasn't in a hurry. Food was good and came fairly quickly. Couldn't find server for refills or bill, had to wait until he returned.

Noisy and not inexpensive

By Erik in PA |

After paying $15 for parking, apparently that is inexpensive in Philly, my son and I took his daughter in for some fun. It was my first visit at D&Bs and what I came back with was the following: most of the entertainment was games of chance rather than games of skill. You fill a D&B "credit card" with points with the ability to "bump" up with extra points - so my $50 card quickly became $56 for 375 points. Needless to say my granddaughter ran through that within a half hour. My son and I had three drinks, of which one was a beer that I had. Total cost: $50. At the end of the night I would estimate $200 was spent and she came home with a very large D&B ball, a cheap pair of headphones and some quickly eaten FunDip. You might do better at an amusement park I think.

OK food, not great service

By KandL713 |

Our first visit to a Dave and Busters. Chose it because it was an easy walk from the hotel and we'd seen them in other cities and were curious. It was a Monday night, not busy. Seated right away, staff was friendly enough. Food was OK, steak dinner and a steak salad. Service was slow, waitress didn't seem to really care a whole lot. We weren't there for the gaming, probably won't go back.

Terrible table service. Very slow service...

By Dunn611 |

Terrible table service. Very slow service especially for drinks. Always had to ask for more. On the bill we were charged for an adult Mac and cheese for $12 rather than kids for $5. Also were charged for different drinks from what we actually ordered. Food was good though and e everyone enjoyed the games and atmosphere.

Excellent service and very friendly

By cborgersen |

Had a fun time with half off the credits per game at Dave and Buster’s. The pretzel dogs were delicious.

Do Not Go For The FOOD. Go For The FUN. & it will be Expensive either way

By Jerry E |

The Food is not so great..just plain and uuuh. I have had much better tacos at the Bell at 2am. The games here are awesome and you can always find one that you like to play. Some of the games we played had a problem and /or then became broken or were broken ... : ( we still had fun and went to the winners circle to exchange tickets in to prizes.... still better than watching paint dry....LOL Jerry Ehrlich from the Great City Of Philadelphia

A great place to have fun

By Amber G |

I like how this place is flexible attracting crowds of all age groups. The arcade games and prizes are suitable for all ages. I ate and played here for one of my teen birthday and won a prize. The food is good too. I recommend it for birthday or party celebrations.

Not what it used to be

By JCTXNJ |

Have been here a few times and it had been good, I was just there Sunday and it was full of kids and it was late. I didn't like that at all it was a turnoff.

Visit Dave, but LEAVE BUSTER ALONE!!!

By Robert S |

I took the family there on 3/21 for lunch and fun at the arcade (Dave's side for those who know the story). We played from opening until around 11:40am and went to the restaurant to beat the lunch crowd. There were 6 of us. The restaurant was only about 1/4 full, so we got seated right away. We got 6 menus . . . 3 of them were grimy with pages stuck together. We waited for about 10 minutes before our waiter "Mike" came over. He took our drink order and disappeared (off the floor). We opened our silverware and two of the napkins had clear food stains on them (black cloth napkins with white splotches of ?). About another 10 minutes later, he reappeared on the floor and serviced a table up on the landing (it appeared that he only had two tables at the time). It took us another 5 minutes to get our drinks, at which time we placed our order. Mike is the SLOWEST, most inattentive waiter ON THE PLANET!! He disappeared for the next 20 minutes, only to appear and box up food and give a check to the top table he had on the landing and disappear again. All of our drinks were gone and he never even bothered to look over at us before he disappeared. Finally, our food appeared and he came over and got us more drinks. The food was just passable . . . cheesesteaks were a bit overdone (meat burnt a bit) . . . daughter's goldfinger (chicken fingers) were fine . . . alfredo mac was good . . , my fire grilled salmon was overdone with the rice being underdone and a bit "crunchy". At this time, our quick lunch bite had burned up around 2 hours, so we just ate, had to ask another waiter to get Mike, paid and got back to the game room. Oh yeah, Mike never came back to either check on our drinks or ask if the food was ok . . . he disappeared again, only to reappear when we were done and just sitting around. Where was the manager you might ask? Up by the bar talking to the wait staff. He never came over to ask how our meal was or acknowledge the table. I am a "slow pot to boil", so I did not make a scene but NEVER AGAIN!!! Please take my warning to heart or eat back by the bar in the game room so if they treat you the same, at least you will have something to do.

Bachelor Party for my son

By Rich W |

Went on a Thursday night at 9:30 Not crowded 15.00 to park but got 7.00 back towards food/drink. 10 of us Able to get separate checks Timothy our waiter not to bad, got drinks and food pretty quickly. Food OK, not wonderful. Food and ticket deal not too bad. Games soso and when I had problems with a couple, staff fixed and gave me some extra credits to replay. When they say their closing... They do...got some master power switch. OK night-better than expected from other reviews.

Horrible Food and Horrible Drinks

By Ronald R |

I ordered a medium rare sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli with grilled shrimp, The steak was raw not rare, the potatoes and broccoli were room temperature, the grilled shrimp seemed like they were on the grill for two days. When I complained, the steak came back better, but the rest of the dinner was the same. The bartender gave me a free drink, the problem was that I was drinking vodka and club and he made me a vodka and tonic, the problem being is that I am a diabetic and tonic water has sugar in it. (the bartender jokes, whats the problem , you are allergic to tonic). This place is a disgrace.

Hello! Hello! Anyone? Anyone?

By Quiche |

Don’t open if you can’t. It would be better to remain closed. The front desk was absent. They initially took my id but where absent when I went to return pool balls. After waiting and waiting I finally went behind the desk, retuned the pool balls and grabbed the shuffleboard equipment myself. When I went to return those no one was available. I almost answered the phone for them. I considered picking up the radio to see if there were any employees still in the building. When someone finally came there was no apology . The bartender was new and didn’t know what beer was on tap, what the discount for first responders was, or anything else for that matter. She didn’t even know that we had to rent the pool balls or how to find the front desk employee. Totally and completely clueless.

Good food, fun for the kids

By JennyH83 |

The food was great, the location was very nice, right on the water, and the kids enjoyed playing games after our meal. A very nice night out.

Dave and Busters

By Caribdiver2015 |

This is a great place for students. Great food and the games they offer are great. This place would be great for birthday parties etc. I will be back this June with my 200 student group

This place is awwwwwful!!!

By Brian B |

I haven't been to dave and busters for probably 12 yrs. I came across a poweplay game deal on groupon for unlimited game play all day. We figured let's do it. Well, after paying $15 to park, waiting in line to get in and finally getting to the games we find that the powerplay card only works with certain games that don't give tickets or prizes. Ok not a big deal. Except there are very limited games for that. Most suck. The ines that are interesting, good luck trying to get on one. The other games you need "chips" for are a rip off. Ya might get a small board walk type prize if you send $80-$100 lol. What a joke. It was loud, crowded and the entrance/exit areas are so poorly planned out. We ended up leaving within 45 min. That bad. On the way out I stop to use the bathroom. Immediately walked out. Disgusting!! Reaked of urine. Very unclean. We immediately left and i can say with certainty we will neevvvvvver go back. A total waste of time and money. They spend a bunch to make it look good on tv, but trust me, don't be fooled. As another reviewer said, it's scuzzy. That is the absolute truth. If you go you'll see but i recommend you don't and not get extremely frustrated like we were.

Great Service from Toni

By Hair S |

Man the experience was awesome. the woman at the front desk named Toni had excellent customer service skills, she took care of my friend and I as if we were 5 stars restaurant. I'm tooting her horn because she deserved it, she was friendly, polite and courteous to everyone she encountered. The Location was D & B Philadelphia on Columbus Blvd.

Not the best visit

By OhJoyce |

We've been to Dave & Buster's before and have always had a good experience which is why we chose to walk here from our hotel. First - seated without silverware. Why this matters will come up later. Second - sat almost 20 minutes before we got our drinks. Third - hubby's glass had something on it which appeared to be Chapstick from the previous user. Fourth - appetizer was served (potato skins - tasty) but still no silverware. We asked the server who brought my hubby a new drink, in a clean glass, but he didn't return. I went to the front to retrieve my own but they still didn't have any ready. Fifth - our meals were served with the incorrect side. We asked for fries and got Mac-n-cheese. Our server did bring fries when we pointed out the error.

Treat your kids, and treat yourself to great memories!

By C F |

For years, when my kids were younger, I would treat them to an afternoon of lunch and games and Dave & Busters once or twice a year, when they had one of those scheduled afternoons off from school. It was great to go on a weekday because it wasn't too crowded. I looked forward to it as much as they did because you never saw such happy kids! I usually allowed them to each bring a friend, too, which multiplied the fun. We would walk all the way through to the back room, and ensconce ourselves in a booth near the middle of everything so I could sit comfortably while keeping an eye on them. We'd order lunch and fill up their game cards generously with credits, and they'd play until lunch came. Then they'd take an intermission to eat, and then I'd let them play a few hours more. (I played a little, too) It's good to establish some ground rules with the kids before going. They knew their money limits, they agreed to eat a good lunch, they promised to look after each other, and they promised to check in often with me if I weren't directly with them. As a result, big brother was great about looking after little brother, and they were cooperative about checking in at the table every so often so I could keep track of them. Interestingly, the after effects of good will and brotherly cooperation lingered for many weeks after those Dave & Busters afternoons. It was a great tradition, and we have lots of happy memories and great pictures!

Fun for kids and adults, good food for lunch

By Terri H |

Perfect for lunch on a Monday Holiday for the kids. We had burgers... good selection, delicious and large portions. Great appetizers. Limited salads and non bar-fare options but my husband enjoyed the grilled chicken artichoke vegetable dish. Part of parking for lunch was reimbursed as credit on our meal. Fair service, a little slow for a day that was not crowded. We went to treat our 15 and 6 yo to arcade games and grab lunch at the same time. We sat in the sports lounge (lots of tv's with sporting events on) since we found the arcade WAY too loud to eat in. Decent deal on points cards to play the games, beware $2 activation fee per card. Decent redemption center. They also have party rooms for large parties. Glad we were there on a quiet, non-crowded day.

There's better.

If you are looking for a place to hang out with friends, have an ok meal, a nice bar, and loud games & kids this is for you. If you are looking for a quiet, warm feel restaurant this isn't for you.

Delicious & Fun

You can always expect to have a good meal at Dave & Buster’s. Their food lives up to what you see in their extensive menu and, if you want, enjoy a game or more in their arcade. I highly recommend a visit.

Food & Fun under one roof.

By Bill B |

I have visited D&Bs numerous times. The building is a giganic old, remodeled dock side warehouse on the Delaware river, a bit orth of the Walt Whitman Bridge. You will be amazed by the size and ammount of pool tables, shuffle board tables and games. Parking is indoors and is free if you arrive before 1PM. If you have to pay to park, keep your stub and receive $4 off food and drink. Best time to visit is week days/nights. Weekends are crowded, and you will be disapointed by the crowds and slow service. Bring the kids during the week and before 5pm. All children under 18 must escorted by an adult at all time. You will discover an excellent security team at D&Bs. The main room has a large bar with food service and tables. There is also another resturant ajacent to the bar. Having eaten there a dozen or more times, I found the food to be very good. The large game room is in the back, along with a big bar and more sit-down tables. You must purchase a "Power Card" to play the numerous games. The games are geared for all ages. Dring the warmer seasons, there is a deck bar on the river. You will love this place no matter what your age is. D&B also has a Large Banquet room which is available for large parties, ect. My retirement party was held there in January. D&Bs went out of there way to make it a great night. The staff and service was excellent and the buffet was excellent. The price was very reasonable. D&B staff even carried gifts, cake etc. out to our cars when the affair was over.

A Few Tips To Enhance Your Experience

By KMRadz |

A few suggestions if visiting - especially when its crowded... 1) If you plan to eat while there, give your name to the desk as soon as you enter. We walked around and played games first and then when we went to eat, were told it was a two-hour wait - unusual since there were many open tables. 2) This location may have been understaffed as my general impression was that this Dave & Buster's was dirty with lots of trash, paper, etc. on the floor, tables and machines in the game area. Trash bins in the restroom were overfilled too. 3) When you buy game cards, TELL the cashier you want the best deal for your order. I bought four $50 cards for our party but was never told I could have gotten a better deal (and more credits to use) if I "asked" for the Family Package. Before using the cards, a member of our party suggested I go back to try and get the better deal (for the same price) and told it was too late by the cashier. So, employees are not empowered to serve customers as a priority. 4) Before playing a mechanical game - watch someone else play it first! SEVERAL machines with mechanical parts (not the video games) had broken pieces that impacted play. Pushing the "Help" button on one brought no response. 5) Food - a good bar-style selection of tasty meals with generous portions - typical pricing. 6) Parking cost $15 on site (lot was full) and so we paid $20 to park across the street. 7) Crane games - like most, stay away. Except for the "rubber duck" guaranteed winner, the others are likely set to offer few winners, have poor quality "prizes" or are packed in a way to prevent them from being picked up.

Fun for the kids and for the parents, too!

By SillySallyNewJersey |

We went here on a Sunday before dinnertime to play some games and to eat a late lunch/early dinner. There was 6 of us altogether; 4 adults and 2 12 year old boys! We had a blast playing the games, even though some of the attendants/employees weren't really sure how to help us with the new Star Trek tokens, which seemed odd to us. As far as the food goes, some things we loved and then others were pretty bad. I had the chicken with artichokes & penne and did not like the flavor at all. It almost tasted like a weird oily sauce or as if the artichokes were off or bad. I should've sent it back, but I didn't. My son got the chicken cutlet with alfredo noodles, he didn't like it but I did. My friend ordered her sliders the way they came but because her son ordered his different she got a weird order, too. The other adult in our party ordered the big ribs and burger tower(I think that's what it was called) and he loved everything, especially the barbecue sauce flavor! I repeatedly told my waiter that I did not want a straw with whatever drink I ordered but he just would have to bring a straw every single time. We ordered the tater appetizer and the grilled cheese sticks and they both were quite delicious! We would go again but I would hope we would get a more attentive and thorough waiter next time and would hope the food was more consistent, as well.

A great place to hangout with friends.

By Deep D |

We had a drink at the bar and then played pool. All in all a good place. A budget place if you are just in for drinks and play games.

Meh

By jr757210 |

Since trying to watch what we are eating, I noticed there are not many healthy alternatives on the menu. Plenty of TVs so we could watch multiple games at once. However, some of the seating provides very limited television. They had about a standard variety of video games in the game room. Server was very friendly and attentive. Food is was just a tad above average.

Great Father's Day

By Foxpaw51 |

Our server Hawa and the floor Manager Mel made everything perfect for a busy outing on a Fathers day sunday in Philadelphia D&B's. Steak Sandwiches, Pasta, Sliders, Wings and Salmon all came out hot, plentiful, and with enough time between courses to go and play! Thank you Rudy, and his Staff. this was family heaven.

Food and Fun for families

By Ljmscope |

We went on a Saturday night - it was busy but we only went to eat so there was no waiting for a table. Our food was good - burgers, steak sandwich and brisket sandwich. The fries were good. Our server was great. The bill wasn't too bad either. There are a lot of activities for kids young and old to do there. If you come plan on staying a while with your children.

Like a big little kid

By JerseyBoy823 |

I like to frequent D&B as much as possible the fun there is endless. You can start off the night with a decent, but affordable meal or dive right into the excitement of all the video games. They always have the latest video games around, but if your a gambler like me the have a lot of ticket winning games that you turn in for prizes(half of my kitchen appliances are from D&B). The best part though is that since people from Philly are cheap a good 5 or 10 tip to the bartender at the beginning of the night will get you hooked up.

Food was better than anticipated

By Timothy S |

Went there as a pit stop on my bachelor party. Had food, drinks and played some games. Was pleasantly suprised with the food as my group included a few foodies! I wish there was more games and some of the ones advertised were being fixed. The place was huge! Liked the old abandoned warehouse.

TERRIBLE ...I WILL NEVER COME BACK

By Christina D |

Selective service at it's finest.... not to mention its disgusting and dirty as hell... the menu pages were sticking together. TERRIBLE service...we waited 1.5 hours for a table. Order an appetizer and 4 drinks, takes 25 min to get it to the table..the waitress never comes back..She's takes the order for the table next to us weith plus 10 people..they get their food and we still never get our order taken... this is by far the WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD..and I don't complain but she was terrible and the place is nasty... almost an hour later she still never came back I had to go to the register to pay...I'm only writing this review bc it was that horrible. Definitely "Selective" service... I feel bad for anyone that has to deal w her in the future .... I wouldn't even give this rating a 1...disgusting, nasty, rude and selective 😡

Not what it was

By Dad-E |

I like this place better when it first opened still a good spot to play games and eat but for the prices and prizes just not what it use to be.

Come for the Games, But the Food is Not Bad

By JimmB30 |

As a restaurant they are comparable to other casual chain places. Food and service has always been fine, but sometimes we go just to play the games and then eat someplace else. Like most restaurants in this category the service and preparation tend to be better the less busy they are. A parking garage is connected and costs $11.00 (with no time limit as far as I know), but you get a $5.00 coupon to use toward your food bill. I think this is a very good deal, as nearby metered parking is scarce and not cheap. Beautiful views of the bridge from the building and the street. Also views of some of the Philadelphia skyline from the front of the building on upper floors. Penn’s Landing is within walking distance.

NOISE NOISE NOISE

By Jim_Naughton |

This is a very noisy game playing place. The kids love it and their parents less so, but if you like flashing lights and noise and lots of kids, then this is definitely for you. Young adults take over the joint around sundown and the atmosphere changes. My 22 yr old daughter still loves it. My ears are still ringing from her 12th birthday party. Oy!

Fun

By Jayne C |

Always fun and it's indoors so it is a great place for winter or bad weather. If you get a a table in the game room you can relax and enjoy your meal while your (older) kids run around playing the games. The food is surprisingly good.

Terrible food always

By Anne Marie J |

Food is always cold and Terrible. Always end up leaving without eating. Go at off times and play, it is fun. Don't forget coupons because expensive and need credit card.

Fantastic!

By Judy_and_Doug |

We arrived in Philly late after being on the road for nearly 12 hours. We wanted a quick bite, a few beers and to hit the sack. Our hotel recommended Dave & Busters down the road. We sat at the bar and the bartender quickly served us some beer. They have an extensive menu but we settled for something simple, wings and nachos. The nachos were among the best we have had. Loaded with guacamole, sour cream and jalapeños, as well as seasoned ground beef, they were so good! The wings had a special name for the flavour that I can't recall. But they were also very good. We've eaten at a Dave & Busters before and will continue to do so given their great food. We found the food to be served hot and for a reasonable price. Service was top notch even though we were there very late.

Great Family Atmosphere

By Bea_Jersey |

Its definitely worth the stop but be prepared to spend the dough too! They've got lots of gaming for the kids which enables the adults to have a break but it'll cost you!

Not what it used to be

By Hybrid1 |

My family & I stopped in on a Sunday evening for drinks and a light snack. I had not been to D&B in quite a while. We sat in the bar area. It took several trys before we could find a clean place to sit. The chairs and tables were sticky. The menus felt sticky also. My spouse ordered a chicken ceasar salad without croutons. When the server brought it out it had croutons and a tiny piece of chicken. It was not worth the price paid. Thankfully our drinks were good. The server was pleasant. We did not go into the game area.

Horrible

By mnichole |

Went here on a school trip. The school is from Georgia. The kids had fun, its expensive, food was either under cooked or over cooked depending on what you ordered. The kids where in a party room and there was a live mouse running around and went into a hole after while. How freckin gross this was after everyone ate. STAFF was horrible couldn't even refill drinks. I will never be back to a Dave and Buster's in ANY STATE. Save your money and go somewhere else. A fast food place would have been better and a heck of a lot cheaper. I wish I could give negative stars.

Get the drinks yourself at the bar instead of waiting for the servers

By Rm_1272 |

I went to Dave & Buster’s once in March and once in April. The first time it was a Saturday mid- afternoon, the second time it was a Sunday early-afternoon. The lesson learned was not to go on a Saturday afternoon, where the place was packed to the brim. Service is not a forte here, but in my case, I went to play the shuffle board game at a rate of $6 per hour. I found it more convenient to hop over to the bar myself to obtain drinks than to wait for the servers. The most recent time I went, we had a nice and friendly server, who decided on her own to punch in an order for a large salad when I clearly ordered a small (she said, it seemed like you were on the fence between the small and large, so I just ordered you a large one) AND it was a different salad. When I decided that I did not want to keep it, they took it into the kitchen, sloppily removed some ingredients and added others and bought it back presenting it as the salad that I originally ordered – nice work.

A Kid's Paradise

By Anna B |

Our Alexander Inn staff recommended this place as we didn't know what to do with our 9 year old grandson one evening - believe it or not but Philly downtown shuts down after 6 p.m. Where in the world do you take a youngster for the evening - Dave & Buster's of course. What a great place for kids who are visiting Philly. Parents you can spend the whole evening there. The food was very good and the kids have a great time playing the arcade games. The service was fantastic and the manager went out of his way to be nice to my grandson who didn't have quite enough points for a certain prize. They were all very helpful. It was a fun, fun evening - it ranked very high with my grandson after all the "education stuff" as he puts it that we did during the day. Don't miss this place if you have kids and want something to do in the evening.

Huge place

Very good food. If you like games this is the place to go. Kids would also like it, perfect place to spend the day if the weather is bad.

So disappointed

By NancySusanMH |

We visited on a Monday at lunchtime...diningrooms almost empty...nice server, but our burgers were burned (ordered med-rare), the fries cold...they brought more fries (when our burgers were finished) and they were cold too...way over-priced and pretty awful.

Scuzzy Place

By Davethetravelguy |

This place was pretty crowded on a Saturday night. We ended sitting at the bar for dinner so we could watch a football game. It took a while for the bartender to wipe down the bar which was sticky from the patrons before us. The service was somewhat slow and the food was okay at best. After dinner, I went to the restroom and the place was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been serviced in hours. I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

Just "EH" but it was a Saturday night

By JMLeonard75 |

The food was yummy. However, some of our food orders were wrong multiple times, even after sending it back. In their defense, it was VERY busy. The general manager made good on the multiple kitchen mistakes and only charged us for our alcholic beverages.Other then that, we had a great time and will visit again.

Lotsa fun, reasonable prices

By nguarni |

Great place to take the kids or a date if so inclined. Title says it all.

Really bad service!

By H F |

We took the kids there today. We are there as well. Our food took about half an hour when it came we had to wait for silverware which should have been there. My food was ice cold, I'm not a fan of sending food back but I did. It took another 20 min for it to come out. The waitress apologized and said she would take off the bill but the manager didn't want her to. By now I was over it and not even hungry. We played pool, which is really cool as my kids played too. We ordered apps, and no silverware, napkins or plates. My husband went to get napkins and the waitress had an attitude. What is with the service? Very disappointed.

Great hangout spot

By Nicole K |

Hung out at the bar with a few friends and watched the hockey and football game. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and willing to make us crazy drinks. Great environment to hang out in - just get there before 10 so you don't need to pay the cover charge.

Spendy, But Still Good Value

By MysteryTraveler1956 |

Eleven bucks to park usually turns me away. But when you figure the alternative - parking on the street by the waterfront in Downtown Philly, I consider it cheap insurance. The when you get inside, you understand that the whole venue is about spending money and having fun. The sticker shock quickly fades away. The food offerings were amazing. We and another couple shared appetizers, then had separate meals. The ladies opted just for a cup (it's a bowl!) of soup, leaving room for desert. We finished a great meal, and decided to play a while, and come back for desert. That's where we made our mistake. You quickly become engrossed in play, losing all track of time. The tickets keep rolling out of the machines, you keep winning, and playing, and winning, and playing. Even the worn tables (one bump and over goes your drink), the well work carpet, or the darker decor can't stifle your enthusiasm when you're winning. My only real disappointment was that I had seen 'Midnight Bowling Alley's' on commercials for Dave & Buster's in other cities, and this location didn't have one. But did we have fun? Yes. Enough fun to take the sting out of the prices? Oh yeah. And here's the million dollar question: Would I go back, or recommend it to my friends? You bet. I'll even drive!

Glorified pool hall

By Amgriff |

Not much good to say about this place. $25 to park, though not uncommon for philly, is ridiculous for a restaurant/arcade. then we get up to the entrance and they charge a $5 cover! for what? you have to pay to do everything in the building. The service at the bar was horrid. By the time we parked, payed cover and bought drinks, we had no interest in taking out a loan to be able to afford playing games. Of all the cool stuff in philly, skip this. It is not worth it.

Great Place to watch a UFC fight

By BorkGordon |

This is a great p;ace to watch a UFC fight. The bar and restaurant area are separated from the games area. This is great when you want to watch a fight and not be bothered by kids running around like fools. There was a $5 fee to watch the fight but it was well worth it.

Big kids playground

By George W |

It is a lot of fun. A giant arcade for adults and kids alike.

Okay, Not Great

By Escalade5 |

My family and I visited early on a weekday so we had our run of the place. My husband is a member of the rewards club and we were not able to take advantage of benefits ($10 match on power cards) on the spot. It all had to be done online and then it would take 72 hours to get it. The kids had a good time and parking was free.

Ok food - service is lacking

By C H L |

Went here after a hard day at a convention expecting good fast service. Boy was I wrong. My associate and I were seated and waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged and that was after I waved down another waiter. When the waitress came by she seemed preoccupied and bothered that she needed to help us. Well the Food partially made up for it. I would recommend the apple pecan salad and the ribs.

Same old D&B

By Kane8181 |

Local Here... Nothing special about this place. Its fun, get expensive if playing the games. Nice location.

Go somewhere else

By Majamison |

Went there around 4 on Saturday afternoon. Place was dead and was told there was a 45 minute wait. Went to play some games while waiting, most games were either out of order or took your tokens and didn’t let you play. No attendants were around. People were rude, I was actually pushed by another customer because I was in her way of her friend. Upon getting a table, we were placed in an area, segregated from others, and told to online order. I looked around at another area and they had full wait service with menus. Food was terrible and cold. Wait staff was annoyed to be working. Never again will I waste my money

Just OK

By leahtots |

Usually Dave and Busters is packed and busy, there were only a handful of people in the restaurant/bar. You would think the service would be amazing...Not so much. I do think it must have been our waiters first day on the job, so we gave him a lot of slack, but still very slow. He had never heard of white zin??? really he asked me to point it out on the menu. My husband ordered a margarita, when he brought our drinks, he was going to take the margarita that didn't fit in the glass back. The food was good. Not great, but good. I don't know just OK

Fun Time but the food could be better

By Michael30 |

This is actually my 2nd visit but my first time eating there. We had fun but they should do better with the food. The food seemed to be frozed and heated up. The chicken figers that my nephew had were not tasteful at all. I had the chicken and shrimp alfredo and that too was tasteless. We had a good time because we were together and we played a few games but we won't be going back there for food unless they make some changes. The service was very good but wow do something about the food.

Sports bar standard fare

By Victoria T |

This place is very fast service, but not particularly attentive or considerate. Speed seems to be the practice, and meals are delivered in a rushed way. The food is good and I liked that they show the calorie count for every item on the menu! It is really set up for large loud groups - delivers everything a good sports bar should.

Great place for family fun

By Joe B |

I often take my Grandchildren to Dave and Busters for a meal and then arcade time. I made two trips in the same week with different Grandkids. The experience was a good one. Service at the restaurant on both trips was good, the servers were attentive and very out going. They all enjoyed their meals, from wings, ribs, steak and more. What really stands out on this trip was the personal care given by the GM when one of my Grandsons decided to use his game points for a guitar that was on display He made is transaction took the guitar home and it did not match the one on display. When I called and talked to the GM he could not have been more helpful. Explaining why the mix up occurred. He asked me to return and he would correct the situation. From the moment I arrived from the helpful hostess on the front desk to the mgr of the redemption center the service could not have been better. Leadership and service starts from the top. Dean the GM absolutely sets the right example. They had provided my grandson with the guitar on display , made sure that everything worked. Service is what it is all about.

Terrible service!! And cold food!

By kbonts |

Our server came to introduce himself and instruct us on online ordering. We ordered drinks and burgers and a chicken sandwich. Our food took about an hour to get to our table. When it arrived, it was cold and we did not even have our drinks yet…… or napkins. The drinks came about 10 minutes after our food. We would have left and not eaten, but we had already payed and tipped online!

D&B - Columbus Blvd

By Ellynn |

There are 2 D&B's in the city - at the Franklin Mills mall in the Greater Northeast - and this one on Columbus Blvd. by the waterfront not far from Penn's Landing. Most recent visit to this location was on a late Sunday afternoon and although the dining area was not crowded it took quite awhile just to be seated and even longer for the food to arrive. The food we ordered tasted good however the temperature of both entrees could have been hotter. Didn't play any games this time so can only give comments on the food.

Food was fine but some heads up on the Game Room

By Karla A |

If you are going to Dave & Busters for the food or the Sports Bar scene - it seems fine but nothing amazing. Waiter did a great job - and the food was on the OK to good scale, but not something that would make me really want to go back . Honestly just wanted to give a heads up to anyone not familiar with the Game Room there - it is OMG ridiculously loud with crazy lights on everything! You can't talk over all the craziness - it's just an arcade room on steroids. Maybe that's fun for some - but I enjoy being able to interact more with friends that I'm there with - not just sit in front of whatever crazy loud video game you can find until your ears are ringing and your head explodes. Also - several of the video games cheated me on my tickets , or the buttons were not working which again left me feeling cheated on tickets. All in all - OK for food or bar hanging - but beware the Game Room

Really fun!

By PoconoHiker |

Don't be scared by all the stuck up reviews. We had a great time playing all kinds of games, had some awesome burgers and drinks, and got to play billiards for free as a lunch special. It was not crowded [tues from 2-5]. We had good service from all the workers and the place was clean. Two of us played games for an hour for 25 bucks and our lunch with drinks was like 30. Yes the games are loud (who wouldn't expect that?). As omg as you are going to D&B for the FUN parts you're going to have a great time! Would love to go on a Fri or Sat night if I lived closer.

Eat and play.

Long wait for food, great time for arcade!

By BrandonP92 |

I came here for a lunch date. The service was a tad slow and the food was good when it finally came out. The waiter was a bit inattentive for the lack of busyness. The arcade was portion was great and the staff on that side were wonderful. I'd return but maybe skip the lunch. The prices are a tad steep but you know what you're getting in to.

Food overpriced and cold

By John B |

Went to Dave and Busters this past Sunday. After spending an hour and a half in the arcade with my kids (went through $70, ugggh), figured I'd sit down to a nice lunch, since the food looked good on the menu. Well, everything came out cold. My son's fries felt like they had been sitting out for an hour before being brought to table. My burger, while juicy, was a medium temperature at best. I would blame it on timing of the cooking if some items were cold while others were hot, but nothing was hot. It wasn't crowded and food came out pretty quick, so I'm not sure how everything was cold. If I wasn't a nice person, I might have thought about sending the whole thing back and walking out. $48 for a cold lunch. Never again...

One of my favorite places

By Socialbutterfly732 |

Fun place if you like arcade games. Be advised that many of the popular games have not been maintained well and may not operate properly. Food is actually pretty good. Get there early to get a seat!

Not worth the money and aggravation

By beckyberry822 |

This has been my second time going to a Dave & Buster’s and my first visit to this location. Haven’t been happy with either visit! I did not eat at this location. My niece and her friend were at a concert at the Fillmore down the street and her mom and sister and I decided to hang out here till the concert ended. First of all, the parking lot garage is $15 and they give you a $7 coupon for food or beverage inside. The garage was leaking in many places of tons of water. Pretty scary parking here with the hopes the place wasn’t going to flood or come crumbling down. If you are charging $15 to park to eat, and play in the arcade, your garage should be in good condition. Inside, the place was pretty crowded. A wait to play some games. Since there was a line at the kiosk and all these signs to do the app, I decided to get my card through the app. We go over to ski ball and what do you know, it’s not accepting the app. We go over to another game and it’s not accepting the app. Why have an app if it doesn’t work, not to mention all the signage you have to download it? We go over to customer service and they tell us, “I wouldn’t waste your money on ski ball, they’ve been broken all day!” So common sense would be to put them out of service! Not here! So then I tell the customer service that the app isn’t working on any game and can we transfer to a physical card. He responds, “Umm, a manager would have to do that.” Again common sense to get a manager. NOPE! I had to request a manager to be called. The manager transferred the chips to the card and we go back to ski ball as people were playing with no issues. So we get 3 units and 1 works. We get assistance, well they took the chips for the first set that didn’t work on 2 machines and to fix it the guy scans his watch and then uses the card on the 3 machines not once but twice, and now chips are removed 3 times on all 3 units and we only got to play 1 game. So I said, but you didn’t refund me for the games that the balls didn’t drop, the guy just shrugged and walked away. Nice way to do business. As if you don’t charge enough as it is! So we go on to play games to find that most machines are broken, or they wouldn’t take the card. Just a mess. A few took your chips but never actually let you play. We were so tired of trying to get this rectified it was horrible. So we decided to go over to the restaurant area to sit and have dessert. Tons of tables empty as this is a very big place, but yet 2 hour wait. Say what? I imagine it was a staffing issue. Needless to say, my sister who is disabled needed to sit down and they wouldn’t let us sit at the empty tables not being used. Said we would have to try and find something by the bar. Real nice hospitality for the ADA! We decided to go to the bathroom, which was another pretty disaster with stalls not in service and others clogged with paper. I must say much cleaner than I would have thought but still needed work. Some stalls were so full of water by the toilet you just didn’t want to even try to use it. Then exit to the car and sit there for a little bit before departing. I don’t know about returning to this place. My first experience was horrible service and food and this second experience for the Arcade was not nice and ended up costing me a good $35-40 in games that took my chips but wouldn’t let us play. Not cool at all! Staff was not helpful or pleasant to deal with. The only pleasant person was the female bartender that seemed to appreciate my business. Not worth the money!

Big kid!

By Lenny G |

I have been to this location twice. The venue is really nice and well kept. Usually crowded as expected but the service is very prompt. The steak salad is amazing! I have gotten it every time! It never fails us! Every thing is up to date and I have TONS of fun being a big kid! Definitely a fun time for my family1

Great date

By CP6785 |

Good food, beers and an adult arcade. The games are great, I love the trivia one in the back and the food is good. The tickets come out very quick and lots of them so you can cash in on a prize it's an awesome date, went here with my boyfriend a fun competitive time.

Great for family fun

A good place to visit with family plenty to do lots of good things to eat you can sit back and relax which is good for us older guys

Good way to kill some time, but otherwise unremarkable

By WanderingTurtles |

We had some time to kill, and D&B's was a fun way to do so. We played some games and got a bite to eat so we could continue on with the rest of our schedule during this trip. As one might expect, the games were short and rather expensive, and the food was only average while the service was actually sub-par.

Dave & Buster's

By Terry W |

You have to WANT this type of atmosphere to even go here. The food was ok ... the wait staff poor. The ceiling is so high ... don't like the noise level.

Great Place for a Meeting

By Clay P |

Had meetings there all week, was totally unaware that they had the facilities for this. It made for a great time, during lunch we could play games to relieve the stress and put is back in a learning mode. The Staff was awesome to work with and the food was very good. Glad to have had this opportunity. Just be sure if you have the meeting, don't use the party room, use the OTHER room by the pool tables.

Not the best D&B

By Kelly C |

Waiting a long time for the waitress to come. She was friendly but obviously newer and not experienced. Food was ok. Flavors were good but fries, pasta dish and wings weren’t hot. The flatbread pizza was really good. Then had to wait for her to come back to take the check. Lots of staff milling around hanging out.

Don't have any fountain drink!!!!!

By Marc A |

We arrived for a birthday celebration of a good friend. When we were seated everything was sticky as if glue was on the table, menus, chairs you name it. That I could deal with. We ordered our appetizers and food and the wait was normal. The temperature of the food was room temperature at best. The mixed drinks were juice with no hint of liquor! Then after utilizing the game room we were thirsty. We all ordered fountain drinks. There were things floating in our drinks ALL IF OUR DRINKS. It was disgusting! Thank god I don't drink cola. I would not have been able to see what was floating. I stopped my friends from drinking theirs. We pushed the drinks aside and told the waiters and she said "oh my bad" really " my bad" Then she had the nerve to ask if I wanted another. Sorry honey that's not going to be fixed with a new drink maybe a trip to the hospital had I taken a sip. We left after day and stoped at a gas station to purchase bottled water.

Lots of fun! Entertaining games for the kids.

By Janice L |

We had a good time. My boys (6 and 11) didn't want to leave though. The food is just OK though. We ended up eatiing dinner somewhere else, and came so the boys could play the games. They had so much fun winning "jackpots". Will go back soon.

Packed with fun

By Williamdurrell |

The arcade area is the best I've been to in a while. The restaurant will take a while to get you in a table but if you go play games you'll forget all about the wait. They even send you a text to let you know when your table is ready

Great time out!

By Queenlex89 |

A friend decided to celebrate his 24th bday here and at first I was shocked becuase ive always known d&b to be a place full of kids. However this one is 21 and up and is great for gatherings with a seperate eating and bar area. Service was great. Ill definitely be back!

Very fun family place or to take a date.

By John H |

Great place to go to bring kids, or a date, or guys night out etc. The games are fun for families, or dates. Bars are nice. Food is very good. Bars in front of the building and in the back where the games are. With the games, everything goes on a power card which makes life so much easier than carrying around quarters or tokens. Tickets won are stored on the card as well. Kids love this place, adults love this place.

The Fun Beats the Food

By Steve S |

I don't expect a gourmet meal from Dave & Busters. The food here definitely serves it's purpose; to fill my belly while I booze. The games and such are alot more fun. A typical Dave & Buster's. Always depends on the people you go with.

just OK....

By wattonwife |

After driving all day from columbus ohio to philadelphia, i promised my 8 and 4 year old we would go to dave and busters for dinner so we could unwind and have a good meal. we did manage to unwind, but dave and busters made a liar out of me on the good meal part. our appitizer was cold, and the food was just ok. luckily they were too excited to go back and play the games to notice that the food wasn't that great, so i guess in the end it all worked out.

nice private room host for reunion

Standard Bar Food.

By Heather W |

Was here for a Game Watch event with the local alumni club. The area we were given was ample for seating our group (though I think we had to seek out additional tables and organize some things on our own). Not sure what management was thinking, but they assigned one waiter to service our area (no less than 35 people there). This kid did the best he could - but I must say it took FOREVER to get our food/drinks. And it came sporadically; so my 4 year old sat for an additional 20-30 minutes waiting for her food while the rest of us were served. Another person in our party requested water 3 times, but never got it. Ultimately just ate her husband's leftover ice... The food itself is standard bar fare: burgers, fries, etc. I stuck to a plate of sliders, and it was more than enough food. My son had a kids burger (that I wish I had ordered also -- looked good), while my daughter opted for the pretzel dogs. The hubs went with nachos. Everyone was sufficiently full by the end. Each of our entrees (minus the nachos) came with ample fries - there was an entire plate left over. At some point, the server must have felt bad for delays, so we got an ADDITIONAL complimentary side of fries - LOL. All the kids were sick the next day -- overload of food. Next time, I will portion out the servings before the kids dive in... if left to their own, they will shovel all of the down! Ultimately, we wouldn't go to D&B for the food, it's definitely more for the experience/gaming.

Fun!

By Eddie C |

The original D&B in Philly is still the best in the area. Great bar area, food and drinks. Also go in Wednesdays for 1/2 point games and a great time.

Fun Friday

By SuzeeQL |

We bought the eat and play with the upgrade on chips.. had fried shrimp and chicken Thai. Both very tasty. We hit the games and ended up winning two big balls from the pick machine and a blanket using points. We had so much fun playing and even when the pick machine broke someone was there to fix it in a minute. We parked at the meter on the street for 5.00 which gave us plenty of time. We will go back, love those games!

Great games, average food, awful service

By Bryan C |

Dave & Busters is a great place to go if you are looking to have a few drinks and play the multitude of quality games. That part we truly enjoyed. The food, however, was very average, soggy nachos, average apps, etc. and the service was awful, very slow, inattentive and at times, incompetent. That being said, it's worth a trip simply for the entertainment, but eat before you come.

Cheeeeezzzy Tourist Trap

By Registered U |

This place is simply terrible. It is so corny and the food is not very good. Typical greasy bar food and it's not cheap. How this place stays in business amazes me. I guess there are enough suckers for any such place. If you have any taste or sophistication, don't go here.

Bring the kids or don't bother

By LisaAC |

D&B's is, basically, an arcade with food. Food is nothing special and the restaurant is noisy. Kids will love it, though.

Good Place to spend the evening

By Sanjay R |

I was in Philly for some work and the game was going on, visited this place for dinner. There are a lot of large screen TV's and you can watch all major sports events here. The bar and the food is good. The gaming arcade is excellent. The parking is little expensive.

good

By jrb515 |

decent food and kids can play in the arcade while you relax with a drink

OK after kids leave

By Shawn S |

You play some games, drink some beers, and eat some ok food. Just make sure to go after the kids have to leave if you are an adult- otherwise you feel creepy....

Don't go on the Weekend....

By F_Jacky2 |

Looking to play games and blow a wad of cash to win some Pixie Stix Candy! Then this is your place! My kids had fun, that's what's important, but forget about trying to get food, drinks or anything else. The place was mobbed with local philly folk and tons of out of towners too, but it is impossible to get a booth or table in the arcade. People camp out sucking the life out of one glass of water and never get up. And just when you think they are done, 14 of their cousins roll in and have a seat and order more water and a plate of potato skins to split up amongst all 14 of them. So that's fine, let's go up to the main dining area and see if we can get a table, looks good, only half of the place if filled......oh there's only a 45 minute wait at 5:30 pm....seriously. So as we are walking out I remember I have a $7.00 voucher because I parked in their garage and I wasn't going to get stiffed for that. The 4 guys at the front desk said I needed to go to bar to cash in the ticket to get my money. I did and I noticed an empty table near the bar and asked, if my 13 yo son could sit in the bar and eat there. The bar tender said yes and I figured, great, I just beat the 45 minute wait.......ahhh no. We ordered our food and then sat around for 45 mins and waited for nothing to show up. We were told by our server that :" things just blew up in da kitchen and dey be running behind now" . At this point I saw a very Disoriented looking man that was the manager and I informed him that we were not waiting anymore and asking him nicely for my 7 bucks back from the parking voucher. He just looking at me, asked a kid to get me money and walked away, I actually felt sorry for him.

Super Cool

By Juanma S |

The food was super quick and all good. The gaming place it's always nice. The parking next to it, you pay but get some discount while eating... so it's worth for the buck !

Good food. Kinda noisy.

Good food. Kinda noisy.

Just waht expected

By Dave B |

Came in with a group of 14 year olds and this fit the bill. Food was what they wanted, the games were what they wanted. This worked for our group. The staff was friendly and conscientious.

Awful service

By Milissa S |

I had a private party here. Waited in line for 40 minutes just to get in the parking lot. Once in, they had overbooked the private room. I was given a space that I had not agreed to but It was a surprise birthday and I was expecting guests. Service was awful. I had to keep telling the wait staff what I needed instead of them looking around to see that all pitchers of sodas were empty. Tables were left with all dishes and glasses on them instead of being cleaned up during the party

Find a better way to communicate your policy.

By Julian D |

I love D&B. Been going there for quite some time now, I normally go there with my family and sometimes my girlfriend. The reason I am leaving two stars, is because I went there with my girlfriend this year, had a great time, bought the dinner & arcade deal and had a great experience. However, a couple weeks after this, I went back with my girlfriend. We had planned to go back weeks in advance, we showed up, bought the $15 parking pass, and walked in. As we walked in, we were asked for ID, and were told that we needed to be 25 to enter. We had no problems last time we went, and now we weren't allowed to come in at all. Spoiling our plans for the weekend. If they had made us aware of this policy beforehand, I wouldn't be writing this review.

Great to dinner, fun and...

Great Fun, But Don't Expect Excellent Food

By BobWDW2011 |

My family and I go to this Dave and Buster's a few times a month. D & B's can be addicting for young and old! I advise that you just go ahead and get the $100 card if you can afford it, because your credits get eaten up quick, and you may end up spending that much recharging anyway. I do not recommend eating dinner here, though. It used to be pretty good, but not in the last year or so. For example, last year I ordered the Parmesan Chicken Alfredo a few times and it was fresh and delicious. Over the past few months I have ordered it twice, thinking the second time that the first was a fluke, but it looks pre-made, and comes out dry and tastes like cardboard. My son also said his grilled cheese was horrible. For the record, the potato skins my wife ordered were not too bad, so perhaps the appetizers are OK. The serving staff is above average. The bartenders at the Midway Bar are attentive, but because of the set up of the floor, sometimes it may be hard to get a server's attention, with all kinds of people walking about. The service in the main dining room is much better. The game staff is excellent. Gabby, a girl who works in the Winner's Circle, is great! I was at a coin machine that only needed one more push for the jackpot, but I ran out of points on my card. My family had deserted me! I flagged Gabby down, and she stood by my machine for me while I recharged my card. The other staff is quick to solve your problems as well. If you have a problem, go to the Winner's Circle and they will radio a technician for you. One ridiculous thing they do: After 10 PM on the weekends they charge a $5 cover. My wife and I stop at the front counter to charge $100 to two different cards, and we still get charged $5 to enter. They do give you a $5 card for games with no tickets, but when you are dropping two bills to play you should not be charged a cover. However, if you are in Philly and need a place for the family to go for fun, this is the place! I would recommend eating somewhere else before you go, though.

Nice family fun!

We wanted to celebrate our son’s birthday at a place of his liking…well he really enjoyed himself for a few hours and so did we.

Fun For Adults Too!

By Eileen H |

To be fair, we didn't eat here, although all the food I seen the waiters/waitresses carrying looked amazing, this review is based upon a fun factor only :) I came here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend for drinks and video games. We paid $15 to park in the parkade but they give you a $7 coupon that is good toward food and drink (alcohol included). There was an MMA fight broadcasting so we were charged a $5 "cover" charge, which kind of sucked, but oh well. The drinks are pretty good and pretty pricey. I was glad I got to try the Key Lime Coconut margarita on discount :) For a Saturday night the bar seemed a little understaffed though. We had an absolute blast playing the games! Our favorites were Mario Kart and Guitar Hero! Trivia is also fun. I was bummed that a few of the skee ball machines were down. Can't wait to come back!
