I have lived here for a couple of years now after living on the East Coast. I'm sorry to say this as it will sound snobby, but nothing really wowed me here. Nothing. Until I went to Deep Dive. Every place you look is a highly curated little picture of joy. Every sip and every bite is equally curated to perfection. And despite previous reviews, I vehemently disagree, the service was absolute perfection. No where in this town is as much of a must visit as Deep Dive.

Met a friend that lives in Seattle at this bar. Interesting spot, a little of speakeasy in the sense that it's hidden under the Spheres. Definitely a bit a "bar by design." Drinks were good and food was nice as well. Not the cheapest bar to go to, but a fun experience.

Our daughter set up a special anniversary dinner at Deep Dive. We started with Hama Hama oysters on the half shell, followed by antipasti and a pea vine salad. Next came Coho Salmon crudo and then halibut on a lovely pasta. Dessert was a pressed chocolate cake with whipped creme fraiche. The food was great and the staff very attentive. Would love to do it again!

There is attention to every little detail. What a beautiful place hidden (no quite) under the iconic Amazon Spheres. I went there by myself and was luck to get the only available seat at the bar. So I recommend making a reservation before you go. Or just walk in to check the elegant ambiance. I had a negroni (22 dollars).

Deep Dive - a bar at the spheres was probably my favorite part of my three day trip to Seattle. What a gem! The place is as unique as you can ever imagine. It's a bit hard to find if you don't know that it is literally in the Amazon spheres building, although doesn't belong to it. Just walk around until you see an unassuming door. The second you walk in, you are transported into a different world. It's dark, seductive and really cool. The vibe is super chill and all waiters super cool. I made a reservation for 2 but then we decided to meet up with two other friends. They had no issues walking in without a reservation two hours earlier. We were seated in "the library" to have drinks and some snacks. the library was a separate room that contained a lot of books as well as other decorative items. The drinks menu was impressive. It was a whole book in fact - with a table of contents and all! I've tried the mescal Goosebumps as well as as the Mixtape, both were amazing crafted delicious drinks. The dinner menu was quite interesting. We tried bar snacks, which came with a mix of peanuts, olives, dates, pickles. Gruyere Gourgere pastries were delicious although someone must have accidentally spilled salt in there. They were almost indelibly salty. The dough was perfect however. Paired with the artichoke dip, it was finger licking good. We also had muscle crudo and the Kuri Squash Raviolo. Again, all was good. I would love to have a spot like this in my city. Highly recommend for a romantic night.

Difficult to find for visitors b/c the only sign that they had was basically almost transparent on a tiny door that was off road. It took us 2 different visits to finally find it. Also, difficult to navigate to because we gotta listen to their 2-minute long disclaimer on phone before we got routed to the host. They said they encouraged customers to walk in but they made it extremely difficult. We planned to only grab a drink stay for 10-15m before heading to our scheduled event nearby but the host refused to give out estimated wait time on the phone beforehand so we could plan our night because they say it changed every minute. Ok fair. So we drove there, found the place. Around 10 people were waiting in the hallway & the line moved quickly. We got on the waitlist but not before the host gave us another disclaimer that their last call will be in 60 minutes, THE WHOLE 60 MINUTES, and they couldn’t guarantee us a seat, meanwhile, we saw open tables, but ok, understandable, sometime places don’t sit small party at certain section. So then we waited in the hall way. 5m after, the host came out again and said sorry they couldn’t have customers waiting in the hallway but didn’t bother to tell us that along with their other 98737 disclaimers LOL 10 people before us just did though!? I think they’re just racist to an Asian couple. Absolutely worst experience ever.

Spectacular Bond villain like lair in the heart of South Lake Union. Think curving walkways meet speakeasy meet Chihuli. Like, wow. Service was prompt and friendly but as I was a guest, I can’t speak to the prices. I suspect they are at a premium for reasons above. I’ll be back.

Poor experience, service was lacking (at least half an hour before coming back around to the table) and very expensive. The expense wouldn’t be a problem if not for the excessive use of ice in nearly all of their cocktails (easily nearly half of glass volume). Don’t go with a group, very limited seating. Management poor and pretentious.

Exploring the sights in Seattle, we stumbled upon this speakeasy bar hidden at The Spheres. Great selection of cocktails, accompanied by the warm focaccia. Staff were attentive and engaged in friendly conversation,

The place is small and fills up fast but the lighting and atmosphere reminds me of Speakeasy’s. Good selection of alcohol but I recommend going to try mixed drinks and they have some good delicious choices. Bar seating is very popular and if you have a large group not sure where you will sit. Also they have some small plates and the food was good but in the pricey side, go for the drinks and snacks as other places near by for dinner or lunch. Friendly staff and bar tenders. Get there early or you probably will be waiting, I went on a Monday at 4:00 And by 5:00 it was packed

Deep Dive is such a cool hidden gem in Seattle. This is usually a place you need reservations for, but we lucked out with an early seating and got right in. Honestly, being there at the start of the night was perfect—service was super attentive, and you could tell our server genuinely loved talking about the drinks and the menu. The cocktail menu is broken into fun sections like Sunlight, Twilight, Midnight, The Abyss, Above Water, plus classics. It makes ordering part of the experience. We tried Lady in Red and The Firebird and both were excellent—creative, well-balanced, and totally worth it. The vibe is dark and cozy with rich colors and dim lighting, which fits the whole “hidden bar” feel really well. We had just come from dinner so we didn’t try the food, but the menu looked small, intentional, and perfect for sharing a few bites with cocktails. Overall, this is absolutely a place I’d go back to every time I’m in Seattle. If you can plan ahead, make a reservation—but if you get lucky like we did, even better.

One good drink out of two. Food - lots of potato chips does not equal high-end hors d'oeuvres - lacking.

All too often mediocre venues are praised, mostly due to some top chef and/or culinary expert opening up yet another ho-hum venue, hoping to ride their reputation wave to success; for a while ? ! Deep Dive is to garner your wet suit and air tanks for a lovely submerge down an underground region beneath those two spectacular Amazon glass domes. That said, it's not your kind of place if you must have masses of glass windows gazing out onto streets and parked cars? Imagine instead, the visual decadence of a 1930s speakeasy, with a updated twist ~~ no smoke! The entry door is not even obvious, so wonderfully undisclosed is this gem. Drinks are superb and the food beyond imaginative for such a simple menu, but you can scan online ahead of time to determine if either strikes your fancy. It's a small and intimate atmosphere, with upbeat (not obnoxiously so) music and fun servers, who really seem to love their hosting. A note of importance, toilets are uni-sex and the guys don't always hit the target . . . otherwise, pleasantly appointed. There is so much of the usual slick and boring urban decor both side of the lake, (affordable perhaps is the kindest way to say it) . . . that entering here provides quite simply the most satisfying visual treat, in combo with fine drinks and nosh . . . Add the comfortable booths and chairs . . . and, well . . . suggest it be enjoyed while still possible to get inside ~~! For anyone confused by all the newness in Seattle, location is kitty-corner to Jazz Alley, on the site which might have the former 6th Avenue Motel ?? !

Totally awesome hidden gem of a bar! A cool and secret place to visit in Seattle! A speakeasy bar located between the two Amazon operated Spheres ! The Amazon Spheres themselves are only open to the public rarely, and the speakeasy is ridiculously cool! A must visit

Amazing cocktails here. The bartenders are all so great and the atmosphere here is really cool. Highly recommend checking this place out. Can't wait to come back here again. Nancy was our server and was phenomenal.

The decoration is eclectic and the place really quaint. Makes me want to have a drink every time I am in the area... The drinks were good, but did not strike me as earth shattering. The food was good, but the portions for what I would call a snack selection were huge. This was the one thing that bothered me: It was so much, I could not finish. I'd suggesting having smaller finger food plates and a few full-size mains for those who want to eat a meal. I will probably be back, although there are better bars (drinks & food), like Inside Passage.

My husband and I were in Seattle for dinner and stopped by Deep Dive afterward for the drink. What an amazing bar! Inside the basement of the Amazon Spheres, it doesn't get cooler than that.
WOW $22.50 for house martini, Chic and Quirky Decor, underground
The Decor and vibe are great here. Kind of a plush mad scientist lair. Tall tufted velvet seating and tons of antique and odd items on display. The space is shaped like a boat, so maybe inspired by jules vern's submarine? The Staff was nice and I really liked the space, but the cocktail prices are excessive. I got the house vodka martini, which wasn't very big and after the 20% mandatory tip and tax it came out to $22.50. They do have a 12 oz rainier on the menu for $5.28 after tip/tax, so they do have some less expensive options. We didn't have food, but it looks good from what we saw on other tables. If you have extra money floating around and need to unload it, you might stop by for a drink, but I won't be back.
