Enjoyed lunch with family. Good variety of selections for our picky eaters. Reasonable prices and good service.

I live in Dallas and I had a friend visiting from Philadelphia who really wanted a Texas steak for dinner. My decision on where to go for steaks in the downtown or uptown area was narrowed down to Morton’s Steaks, Dakota’s and Del Frisco’s Grille in Uptown. As I very much like the other Del Frisco’s in North Dallas on Spring Valley road, I figured the steaks at Del Frisco’s Grille in Uptown would be just as good. I could not have been more wrong. We ordered steaks at a temperature of medium-well. My friend’s steak came out so charcoal black that he had to scrape the hard crust of ashes off of the steak and the inside of steak was chocolate brown throughout. We sent that steak back and they had a second chance to bring out a “medium-well” steak. The second attempt at a “medium-well” steak arrived rare --- completely red throughout with blood dripping from the center. This was a big disappointment and I was embarrassed to have recommended the Del Frisco’s Grille. If there is one thing a steakhouse is supposed to be expert in it is getting the temperature of the steaks exactly right. I have never seen a more amateur attempt at steak preparation as Del Frisco’s Grille. Now that I think about their menu, steaks are only a small section of a variety of food options. The menu is more like a Bennigan’s or Chilli’s and it looks like they are trying to offer too large a variety of expensive food options rather than focusing on being really good in one specialty area. If you are looking for good steaks in the downtown / uptown area, don’t go Del Frisco’s Grille, go to Dakota’s or to Morton’s.

Del Frisco's Grill is walking distance so we tried it for our anniversary and a couple of other evening meals. Location: Fantastic if you like the vibe in Uptown, which is far different from other Del Friscos locations. The wine list is very good, though more focus is on turning tables and moving people through than on a nice, relaxing dinner out. We consistently observe every meal thus far to be too salty, which may drive beverage sales on a quick turn, though doesn't work well for a special occasion and a nice bottle of wine. They may be perfect for other locals, though we prefer places nearby perhaps less hip with a higher quality meal. They meet the needs of many or they wouldn't be so busy! Check your preferences, and if they're a match, give them a try!

The atmosphere and service make Del Frisco's Grille a great Uptown lunch spot. My favorite is the Asian Tuna Salad. The tuna is always seared just right and the salad has a nice tangy taste. The cheesesteak eggrolls are a most decadent appetizer.

Del Frisco's Grill has a very inviting ambiance, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I tried the prime steak sandwich and it was delicious! The place is upscale and trendy, we did not order drinks this time -- but the price for their speciality drink was $12! There are two things that are worth mentioning -- the parking is not the best in the area ( may have to valet at $5) and the menu is a bit limited.

My burger came with wrong sauces and cheeses but was tired of the errors so didn't get it redone although did tell the waitress it came wrong. My husband took a 3rd attempt AFTER me finding a bartender and speaking to him directly how to make it--unsure if waitress couldn't get it right or .... The waitress said his 2nd martini was "comped" even though he only had one with the other 2 having sips. The waitress couldn't describe the sloppy sauce's ingredients. The waitress took 3 inquiries before she could remember if the ordered soup was a bowl or cup. The booth was a nice spot in the restaurant but I had someone in the group agree that my cushion was horribly lumpy. A manager never came over and inquired if we were happy.

Here's my take on chain restaurants. If you went once and hated it and if you go back well that's on you. Chain restaurants are not hit and miss If it sucked in Peoria chances are it sucks in Boston I went to the Del Friscos in Pasadena one time and found it to be a solid attempt at food decor and service. I KNEW what I was getting in Dallas The food is standard but solid. The decor is corporate with flare. The menu is varied with plenty for family. It's a chain but it's not an Olive Garden or a Friday's or a Cheesecake Factory. It's a step up. The staff in Dallas was stellar. I had a great time because I knew what I was getting. Solid restaurant

We went to Del Frisco's for Thanksgiving, and it was one of the best Thanksgiving meals ever. I had pork loin (with a delicate sauce based on mustard and, I think, honey), Mashed potatoes (same sauce), sausage dressing (sage), and buttered green beans (there was some subtle flavor but I couldn't figure it out). My wife had turkey (perfectly cooked and moist, with a more traditional brown gravy), mashed potatoes (same gravy), and sweet potato casserole (topped with brown sugar). Everything was so good that it's hard to recommend any one item over the others. It's almost worth flying out from Los Angeles just for this dinner! I recommend the valet parking, especially if you're handicapped; the only elevators are inside buildings that were closed when we were there.

Loved this restaurant. I had the pork chops and they were very good. Make reservations since they do get very busy especially if you want to sit outside. I will definitely be returning.

With great quality this restaurant serves both sea food and fine cuts, for a business dinner or some family anniversary this place is the right choice and will make it look good, expensive but certainly worth every penny you pay.

Had a late afternoon lunch on their patio on a Friday afternoon. The service was great, never had an empty glass! The black-eyed pea hummus was a wonderful surprise! Has the lamb burger, it was HUGE. The flavor was good...though pretty greasy. Overall, I would recommend checking it out!

WEe have travelled from the UK and had a meal tonight and we were served by George. His style and conversation were very warm, amusing and polite. He looked after us very professionally ensuring that we were totally satisfied and we were not ĺeft unattended. Ģreat service George. We ordered our food which came in a time that we expected and we both had the Shrimp linguine. We both enjoy pasta but this was one of the best that we have had for many years Lovely atmosphere, no pressure to vacate a totally enjoyable evening

Best meatloaf i have ever had. They serve it with a mushroom Cabernet sauce and i always ask the waiter to get extra. The cheese steak egg-rolls are great for appetizers.

Amazing service in this great restaurant that has something for everyone. Really enjoyed the apps and my sesame crusted ahi tuna (fresh catch feature). The deserts were also amazing.. I really enjoyed the Nutella bread pudding!

We were having a no-plans weekend, decided we were hungry, drove by and thought the place looked like fun. We sat at the bar to eat and watch the patio and people. Been to big brother Del Friscos many times so expected good food, and it was, and on-par for a Grille. It was an early dinner so I had a crab cake with a wedge salad. Both were very good, but the crab cake was a little smaller than expected for the price. Kudos for having good wine at a reasonable price. My other had a grilled pork chop and asked for no sauce and a different veggie side, however the standard was delivered; they made a new meal as requested and it was very good. Unfortunately I needed to start since my crab cake would get cold. I would stop in again if I happen in the area and am hungry. It was a fun afternoon.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the interesting dishes. The Deviled eggs with a Truffle-Chive Vinaigrette were scrumptious, and the Farmhouse Grilled Cheese with the roasted Tomato Bisque (using aged cheddar and Gruyère with a Mornay Sauce) was just great. The Bisque, in particular, was thick and rich without being overly creamy. The only negative is that it was a bit noisy, even on a slow day.

Service is what you would expect for a new location. Waiter must have been in training. The facility was perfectly designed and built. I would prefer the food to be perfectly designed and built.

A crowded area in which the restaurant offers valet parking.. The atmosphere is casual and conducive to a lunch crowd. The service was very good and the menu basic. We got a steak salad and I ordered the sliced filet. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasty.. Would try again if in the area but there are several restaurants on the strip

We were in Uptown Dallas for just one night. When we asked for a good steak, our hotel driver recommended Del Frisco's. WOW!! We literally have never had a better steak. Be prepared for the splurge on the pocketbook, but the entire dining experience is worth it. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, yet still high-end dining. Our server, Nate, was very attentive. He knew we had been away from our five children for over a week, and when they called in the middle of his service, he was more than gracious- he was empathetic. We even received a hand-written Del Frisco's card from him just a few days after we returned home, mentioning how happy our children must be to have us home. This place was the best of the best. We will return every time we visit Dallas!

We spent the weekend in Dallas, hanging out, shopping and going to a show. We chose Del Frisco's Grill after checking out all of the reviews on TA and Yelp. We probably passed 30 excellent places to eat on the way to Del Friscos from Downtown - and I am so glad we didn't stop at any of them !! Bruno (GM) and his staff were awesome. Morgan was our server. Food was impressive. Atmosphere was hip. Drinks were perfect. We just wanted to have a sure-thing dinner experience while we were away from home, and Del Frisco's gave us exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back ! Thanks Bruno !

Great trendy spot for good cocktails and food. I've been here a handful of times and have only been disappointed once (bad server not food). Their menu offers a little something for everyone and is ideal for evening cocktails and apps before a night on the town. I've had a few of the menu items, but my favorite is the shrimp flatbread - fantastic. It's in the middle of uptown and easy walking distance if you live in the area. If not, they do offer valet parking. Definetely recommend.

Great location in uptown Dallas, right on McKinney Avenue! Spacious patio, with lots of umbrellas- perfect for people watching. Service was exceptional without ever being rushed. We took our time with cocktails before even looking at the brunch menu. I had 2 of their small plates - truffle Mac & Cheese and lollipop Spivey chicken wings, both were delicious! He had fried chicken and waffles, also super yummy (yes I just had to have a taste!) Plenty of people (Saturday brunch on the patio), but still not so crazy loud that we couldn’t have a conversation. Delicious food paired with a few cool cocktails was the perfect way to start the weekend right!

Del Frisco's has one of the best patios in the City; good people watching, trolleys going by, but not a lot of loud traffic. A friend and I met for lunch and split an appetizer and a sandwich. The food was great, we were both stuffed, and we got out of there for $15 before tip. What a great deal. The cheese steak egg rolls are awesome, you have to try them. Service is friendly and professional, not pushy. I will be back.

We hit Del Frisco's often for dinner and drinks. All of the servers are super friendly and we end up having great conversations at times. I actually prefer the food at this location to the more "upsale" sister restaurant Double Eagle a little further down the road. Cabernet is quality and the cocktails are inspired. Eighties music is fun... since I know each song.

I was not impressed with the food at Del Frisco's Grill. The food was greasy & salty. Dallas has the most restaurants per capita so this is very disappointing! If you are lucky enough to get an outdoor seat upstairs, that will at least make your dinner a bit better. They offer valet parking since McKinney Ave virtually has no parking available.

Del Frisco's has such a good reputation for steaks that we thought that the Del Frisco Grill on McKinney Ave. in Dallas would be a good choice. The food was mediocre- at best. We ordered a black-eyed pea hummus, of which we could only eat a few spoonfuls. Even the bread with the hummus was dry and unappetizing. When the NY strip arrived, it was mediocre with gristle and not well seasoned. The potato side dish, however was very good. The spinach supreme was on the level of the frozen variety from the grocery store. The wait staff was inexperienced, but they did seem like very nice young women. The patrons, however, were far from ideal. If you are a businessman traveling without your wife and are looking for the sleezier things in life, this is your place. If you are a well-endowed woman seeking frolics for fun or profit, this is your place. If you are looking for great steaks and an enjoyable meal, go somewhere else.

I ate at the location on DC. the server seemed to be new. He was attempting to do a good job. Twenty minutes after ordering, he asked if I ordered a filet or strip. When correct steak was served, he asked that I cut it to verify it was cooked properly. It was. I did not see anyone until I had finished all that I could eat. It was full of grizzle. Most of the grizzle could not be cut. I also ordered the Mac and cheese. It compared to what I would expect from Kraft.

New night manager & restaurant manager. Both are unqualified for pharmaceutical dinners. Too many restaurants to choose from in the area therefore not planning to reserve an event any time soon. Best, Judy

My husband and I reserved a table on open table for Sunday morning. Based on the reviews this place looked like a great spot. We were not disappointed. The cheesecake egg rolls were awesome and the eggs Benedict was good as well. The drink my husband ordered the bartender seemed unfamiliar with but she did a great job making it and it was exactly what he wanted. Valet parking was a nice added touch.

Restaurant week is usually a time for restaurants to show some of their best dishes and gain loyal diners. Not so at this expensive greasy spoon. Appetizer was inedible, too tough to cut with a knife (Philly cheesesteak eggrolls). Petite filet was slightly undercooked (cool in the middle when I ordered medium rare), but was delicious, never the less. It was served with bland mashed potatoes and nothing else on the plate, although they tried to sell me some $10 butter and cheese topping. Cheesecake was squirted with scant caramel and chocolate syrup and named "turtle cheesecake." No water was offered to us. Service was slow, and the restaurant was REALLY LOUD!

We had a very good dinner here on a Sunday evening. The entire experience was very pleasant and we would definitely return. The restaurant was not at all crowded on a Sunday. We did valet parking ($5) to make it easy on me. The wife started with the VIP cocktail which is similar to a martini and she really liked it (so much so that she had two). I had a Voodoo IPA which was excellent. For starters we ordered the shrimp cocktail which comes with 6 big shrimp. The cocktail sauce was spicy and really tasty. We shared a wedge salad and although it was small it was very tasty and high quality. The cherry tomatoes were outstanding, but so was the quality of the blue cheese and bacon. The wife got a special filet mignon with crab and sauce and loved it. It came out first time a little under-done but they fixed it immediately and had it out again in no time the right way. My one minor complaint is that the truffle mac n' cheese has virtually no flavor and the pasta needs to be cooked in salted water. I had the steak sandwich and it was outstanding. I asked for lean meat and that is what I got, so I was happy. It's a big sandwich so I was absolutely stuffed by the time I was done. My minor quibble is that the au jus did not have much flavor but the horseradish aioli was excellent so that is what I ate. The sweet potato frites were crispy and perfect. Service was 5/5, outstanding. Juan was there when we needed him and not there when we wanted to talk. He was professional and friendly. A model of what a waiter should be. The meal was not exactly inexpensive but the quality was high and I look forward to the next visit. Plus, the wife really liked it and that is what matters most.

Been there twice.. Terrible both times.. Food was average, service was good but mistake-ridden. Management was so poor I’m embarrassed for them.

We have been here twice and left both times disappointed. Atmosphere is nice. The staff seem very nice and attentive. The problem is the food. We both had steaks each time and each time they were extremely average. I am not saying they were not edible. It's just there are so many very good steak houses here that these steaks just don't stack up. Not sure if it is the grade of meat or the seasoning. It was just, meh. Now I will get to the mashed potatoes. I never thought in a million years I would be commenting on a places mashed potatoes. These were horrible. We we were laughing at how bad they were. It's not that they tasted bad it's that they were completely void of any taste at all. It was strange. I literally used a whole little cup of steak sauce on them just to eat them. Bar scene looked pretty good. I would think if you are in the area it would be great to grab a drink there. Never been to the more "upscale" Del Friscos up the street but I would have to think it would be much better.

This is not Del Frisco's ie the over-the-top steak place just down the road (don't take me wrong, nothing wrong with DF's, but you don't always want to spend $100/person) . It's the baby brother. Nice atmosphere, fun vibe, open to the outside if the weather is right and the price points on the menu are attractive to anyone's budget. You can go with the expensive steak if you want but there's other comfort food on the menu for half the price (meatloaf, pork chop etc) . The appetizers are great. The cheese steak eggrolls are ridiculously good but the deviled eggs (odd as that sounds) are the best in the city (truffle oil sauce is terrific). Very extensive wine list as well. If the weather is nice sitting on the patio is fun, Inside on the ground floor can be a bit noisy but not overbearing. The food is always good and high marks for value. Valet around the corner will cost you $5 but nice not to hassle with uptown parking. I've been there for Sunday brunches, weekday business lunches and weekend nights with my wife. It's one of our favorite spots when we want to go a bit higher end than takeout but not crazy expensive.

I live walking distance from this restaurant and it has been more than a year since I have eaten there. The last experience was similarly too salty though I was craving comfort food, so stopped in and ordered the Veal Meatloaf to go. It was 5.25 on a Thursday evening and reasonably busy but not overly crowded. At 5.40 I inquired about my order and it was handed to me at 5.45. After the 5 minute walk home, I opened the container to find lukewarm food that was discolored and dry on one side of the meatloaf perhaps from sitting out under a heat lamp. The meat was also too salty. Food prices are reasonable though that doesn't matter if the food isn't fresh, warm and satisfying. I wasn't there for drinks so cannot speak to prices, quality, etc.

My compliments to the team at Del Frisco. I attended a function for 40 people in their upstairs bar area on Sunday night that was a big success. Super pleasant and capable catering manager kept an eye on things as the staff kept the beverages flowing. Well done and my compliments to the team working Sunday night, upstairs !

Just finished eating here for our 30th anniversary. The filet was fantastic, as was the salmon. Service was very prompt and courteous. We received a candle and an anniversary card with our dessert. Absolutely fine dining.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share between us. The chicken poppers were an excellent appetiser. The rib eye steak was very good, the burger was extremely good however the best dish by far was the coffee braised pork shank. Will definitely order that again! Service was good prices were on the average to high side

The service was fantastic. The cheesesteak egg rolls are wonderful. The Prime Steak Slices has a truly delicious taste. Everyone was extremely pleased with their choices. The steak was tender and moist with gobs of flavor. Would recommend this place as a date place. Not as great for business meetings since it was very difficult to hear around the other people.

Our first time here was outstanding and the reason we returned. The second time was a disappointment, to be honest. When I spend $150 on a meal I expect it to be really good. The problem arose when our server forgot to put in our salad order. I saw our entrees on the counter ready to be delivered and we had not received our salad. I asked the manager about it and she said that she would get the salad and the kitchen would re-make our entrees. We received the salad, but the entrees were not re-made, only reheated. As a result, my brick oven chicken was overcooked, dry, and tough, and the skin was not crispy. The wife's stroganoff was similarly dry and tasted reheated. A small oversight basically ruined our dinner. To top it off, we were the only people in the entire restaurant who were seated for dinner when we placed our order. I am not sure that we will return. I like the restaurant, but our meal was a waste of money.

My husband and I were visiting Dallas from Colorado and had a fabulous meal at Del Frisco's Grille. The food, wine and service were all excellent. Very attentive Manager checked in on us, she was kind, friendly and very helpful as was our servers. The food was served in a very timely manner and we had a great time, we will for sure return. I have just bought a gift card for my Son who is in college in Dallas so he can take his girlfriend. Easy to purchase e-card gift certificate on line.

Check-in was cumbersome as process required first & last name plus the option of a phone number and we didn't even have to wait for a table....and hostess was annoyed when I chose not to divulge information - I only wanted a seat in their restaurant. Dined on the upstairs terrace. Food was very good and bartender poured a heavy-handed cocktail! Enjoyed the Caesar salad and the appetizer size crab cake which was just delicious!

Really enjoyable meal. Fantastic staff. Very accommodating. Quiet. Clean. Would go back in a heart beat. A gem in the uptown area.

My wife and I made an afternoon visit to Del Frisco's Grill - my first time, her second. She had the Sole first time and gushed over how good it was, so we both had it this time and she was right. Very fresh, large and excellently prepared and accompanied by a nice Chard. The wine list is fairly small but good. We also shared the Pulled Pork Tacos (two to an order) and they were very tasty. There are other things I want to try on their menu but my wife may be stuck on the Sole. We will definitely be returning!

The bar area seems like it would be a fun place to gather after work, however I was there for lunch. I had an excellent burger and fries while my colleagues enjoyed the fish tacos and salad. The wait staff was friendly and service was quick enough for a good lunch in a reasonable time.

Del Frisco's has always been a favorite of mine, first time at the "grille" concept. Prime rib sandwich was excellent, but the grilled artichoke was undercooked even though it was sent back twice. Ahi tuna salad superb. The atmosphere is very classy steakhouse, dark wood, and furnishings.

This place was great! Highly recommend! Flatbread was amazing...steak salad was amazing and the steak sandwich was amazing. Wines are very high in price, but they do have some beers on tap. Our server was great, even though you could tell he had a very large section and was really racing around. Overall, def recommend!

We ate at Del Frisco's Grill in uptown: cute place, but they only had the downstairs open. The negatives: pricey for atmosphere, very noisy (they should have booked the graduation party of about 30 people upstairs where they would have had more room and not been distracting to the other guests), my steak (medium rare was medium, so I got a replacement which was rare - usually places get it right on the second try. My friend's steak was supposed to be medium and it came out medium rare), potato portion was 3 bites at the most; only 1 women's bathroom downstairs - so there was always a line, waitress wore a skirt so short that the panty in her panty hose was showing in the back, waitress was so so (acted strange when we requested bread for the table). The positives: the bars were beautiful and huge, cool outdoor seating upstairs, quality of the food was good (even though there were several negative reviews on Yelp about certain items so we stayed away from them), they take Sullivan's gift cards, which two of us had purchased at Costco, so it saved $10, parking was free.

My wife and I went to Del Frisco's grill with our friends who live in Dallas. They have a fabulous mouthwatering menu and we unashamedly devoured the following...Ahi Tacos, Garlic Shrimp and cheesesteak eggrolls for a starter, then we went on to Jumbo Lump Crab cake, Veal Meat Loaf,Lamb Burger and Orecchiette pasta. At that point we had absolutely no room for dessert!! It was fantastic. We are all foodies and this was the iceing on the cake. First class lunch at very reasonable prices.

I recently ate at Del Frisco for brunch and I really enjoyed it. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He came by quite often and made sure my mimosa was never empty. They have a nice brunch menu, as well as varied lunch choices. I opted for a chicken and quinoa salad, with jicama and sweet corn... which was TO DIE FOR. I highly recommend this place!

I don't eat steak and those in my part that had steak said it was delicious. But I had chicken schnitzel and it was not very good. It was over cooked, tough and hard to cook. A few had the sole and said it was just ok- bland actually. I do recommend the crab cakes, pimento cheese bites and the warm chocolate cake.

The scene is great. It does get loud but not crazy loud. But it is a current hot spot. Everything on the menu is delicious, we have enjoyed this restaurant about 6-7 times now. I don't have one negative thing to say. However if they were to improve on one service provided, it would be in my opinion their valet service. Why, because it completely sucks. You pay $5. when you arrive this way when you wait 30min. or more for your car, well really need I say more. Yes it's petty, but 2 burgers 2 glasses of Cab. And a $80. tab. The least you old do is comp. my parking.

We were pleasantly surprised to visit during restaurant week. The appetizers and salad very good. Both our filets were excellent. Brings back memories of the original in Fort Worth . The only downside was the table near the kitchen. My wife was dizzy from all the waiters and waitresses constant motion. Highly recommend restaurant but do not sit near the open kitchen!

Staff was so nice,Food was really good,we sat outside on the pario and was really relaxing, price is a bit high for quality and quantity but iver all id say to try it out

We had a birthday dinner on Saturday night. The staff was exceptionally helpful, friendly and attentive. You could easily expect some service slippage since it was a busy Saturday night but they were spot on. Our food was top notch as well. The smoked pork chop was had by a few of us and it was really amazing. We dine at a Del Frisco's about every other month so finding a new menu favorite like the chop was a treat.

Great food and ambiance! Well worth the price. Go and relax with friends! i do it often! Love this place.!

Nice Staff. Great location Very good starters ( spicy chicken wings & chunky guacamole) & salad (Asian Tuna Salad) We Will be back for more

My date and I came in for dessert and drinks, and our server Teressa, was absolutely amazing! Of course servers make their money off tips and they'd love for you to order dinner, dessert and drinks. We only came in for dessert and she treated us with so much respect and had so much joy that it makes me want to come back and try more food that's offered here. The service is wonderful!

Our service here was fast, on a busy Saturday night, prime time. Drinks were some of the best we had in uptown Dallas. Food was exquisite. Price was comparable to most fine dining establishments but portions were large. Highly recommend the pork chop on the Fall menu. And the peanut butter chocolate pie was to die for. Absolutely recommend this place!

There's so much to like @ this Del Frisco satellite- the atmosphere, the service(esp. the knowledgeable, friendly pro-bartenders) the upper deck etc etc.. My only issue was the $40 grissly filet(8oz). I did "saw" my way through it w/a steak knife but won't ever order again-disappointed this visit........

I have always been a Del Frisco's fan - After Saturday night (04/24/2021) I will never spend another dime in this place. Service on a scale of 1 to 10 ...... -5 Food - Same Scale ........ -5 Ability to at least correct the situation .... Non - Existent !!!! And after all that- They put a $55.00 tip on my bill and had the b.....lls to ask for more.. I do not usually waste time writing a review, but hade to today. The Dele Frisco's brand that Dee Lincoln built is dead. Good luck to you .... Steve

This was out first time here and we loved it!!! Try the buffalo chicken pops as an app!!! So delishes!!! Had a great bottle of wine but there lost is very over prices stick to the cocktails!! We will be back for sure!!! Great place for a date night!!! Great vibe

We had 25 people in a private second-floor room. Everyone was delighted with their food choices and the service was outstanding by two young men. All wine and water glasses were kept full. A majority of the people went for the add ons that included lobster and crab. My prime rib eye was very good. The lobster mac and cheese was very good, but maybe over cheesy, if that is possible. Looked like a very active bar. Prices were as expected.

We were a party of six who had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered the tuna and was asked whether I wanted it hot or cold. I chose cold and it arrived hot. Because I was a guest, I decided not to say anything. The staff are very professional but I think because of the high prices, the food is over-rated.

Atmosphere, food, service were exceptional. We will return! Waitress as very attentive and knowledgeable about food, drink, and wine options Noise level was moderate Food was GREAT! Large portions too, we took 1/2 home.

No doubt Dallas is a great place for steak; Del Frisco lives up to the reputation of Texas! Perfectly seasoned, medium, steak was served to please. Highly recommend Del Frisco. Note it’s an upmarket restaurant with upmarket prices.

Went to Del Frisco's with not much idea on what to expect. We were seated right away on a Friday night so we were lucky. Good bar selection, good food and very good service. Hip crowd and a bit loud but manageable.

Stopped in for dinner on Friday night without a reservation - the hostess sent us upstairs and after finding the right guy we were finally seated. The waiter brought over the menu and I was surprised - I thought this was a steak house! I have been to a couple of different Del Frisco's - Fort Worth and Houston that are older steak houses and serve great food - just thought this place was a modern version but it isn't. Anyway, our waiter did a great job of explaining the menu and the food was very good. I had the fresh fish fish special and my wife had the crab cakes - all very good. Nice place but definitely a trendy restaurant.

From a great atmosphere to a phenomenal dessert. Del Frisco's Grill will not disappoint. Save room for the Coconut Cream Pie.

We had a holiday lunch here for 14 people, which we had made a reservation for, but our table wasn't put together when we arrived which was a little odd. Having a big group we had great service the entire time so that was good. They also have free valet at lunch, not at night though. The table started with 3 different appetizers, the Deviled Eggs, Spicy Guacamole & the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. The deviled eggs were fine, not great, the guacamole was ordinary, not spicy at all and the egg rolls were probably the best thing we had the entire time, very tasty! Everyone's lunch was just "ok", nothing that bad, but nothing that great either. Some people that had steaks said they weren't cooked to the requested temp. Over all it was an ok lunch with good service. Not sure if I'll be back or not.

Was going to my favorite rest. (Texas Land and Cattle) only to arrive and find out it was closed and no longer in business. Walked over a couple of blocks and came upon Del Frisco's. What a great fine. I will certainly go back on return trips to Dallas.

My wife and I had drinks, apps and main course at the bar. The bartender was clueless and the bar was understaffed. We waited for 15 minutes exactly to get initial drinks. Simple requests were forgotten (I had to ask three times for mustard.) the apps were solid, but the main course was nasty. The steak I ordered was off a low quality, seasoned with a rub that had the quality of floor sweepings, and served with a small side of anemic French fries of a McDonalds quality. To try to be hip, the steak and undercooked fries were served with a miniature squeeze bottle of ketchup! This screams: To show how good our steak is, here's a generic mass produced sauce we think would make a great accompaniment. Basics (glasses not being refilled, cutlery not reset, long wait times) just aren't there.

We started off with devil egg appetizers. $10 for 4 halves (2 eggs) but it was nothing special at all. I would pass on this. My guest had a medium steak salad and looked fine ( bit too rare for me ). I had the fish tacos which were very good. Nice shot glass sized sauces on the side. Again, good but not noteworthy. Not worth battling uptown traffic to visit again. The waitress/wait staff was very nice and competent. Note: Valet parking at lunch is complimentary, but as always a tip is always welcomed.

We came here to celebrate a new job. The food was good in general. Fries were excellent. Steak probably needed a bit more attention to temperature but was ok.

Great service and menu make Del Frisco's Grille a solid choice for a business lunch. It's conveniently located in uptown and on a good day, the patio is a great optio.

My colleague and I were looking for a late night place to have dinner -- we arrived about 30 minutes before closing and were happily greeted. The place was near empty and we chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly and was very accommodating helping us choose a beer. I had the meatloaf and it was excellent. At no point did we feel rushed, and although at that time at night I am not looking for the full dining experience, I also do not want to feel unwelcomed. The service was excellent and the meal was also perfect. I understand the limited nature of this review but wanted to give credit to the greeter, server and chef at this late hour.

Took a chance on trying Del Frisco's on a Friday night for a late seating without reservations. The place was packed but we were lucky and after a glass of wine at the bar were seated in the upstairs dining area. The wait staff was very attentive and took good care of us both at the bar and at dinner. We had the black eyed pea hummus, Asian tuna salad, and the steakhouse salad with a nice Mer Soleil Chardonnay. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. It was fun since it was clearly a glitzy, trendy place - very uptown. Good people watching and had I been young and single, I would have enjoyed hanging at the bar. I can wait to return and get patio seating when the weather is nicer to enjoy the food while watching the McKinney Avenue social scene.

this is a good stop in the neighborhood. And when the weather is awesome, the patio is worth the visit. Everyone is friendly, service just right and a hood lunch selection for this kind of restaurant. Very good burgers and sandwiches and like most of the brand, great steak salads. Can't wait for even better weather to be back again.

Yes, the food lives up to the hype. I had the best filet of my life and the service was flawless. Note, however, that this is a much hipper, busier and thus louder restaurant than other more traditional high-end steakhouses. Not a bad thing...just different. I wouldn't have a business dinner here if nuanced conversation was crucial; I would meet here if the meeting's goal was socializing.

Three couples visited Del Frisco's for an evening out. The atmosphere was cozy and modern. My husband and I both had the fillet and they were both cooked to perfection!

The first 2 bottles of wine ordered were out of stock, had to choose a third. The published wine list on the menu, the waiter said to ignore, it was out of date and they hadn't had time to print new ones?? This process took 20-25 minutes. Food was good but the sole topped with crab was minus the crab. Waiter apologized but made not effort to fix it with the bill or otherwise. All in all, not so good. Plenty of restaurants in Dallas to choose one with better management.

The food at Del Frisco's was really good. I had the sole and my husband had a steak. The sole was amazing. I liked my food better but my husband liked his too. Jason was our server. Great service and personality. Attentive without being overbearing. The wine list is also very nice. The only hiccup we had was just before we left. The man bussing the table was anxious to start clearing and reached over me to pick up some glasses. He dropped two of them and they shattered all over me. He was apologetic but I think he could have waited the extra 10 seconds for us to get up before he starting clearing the table. Will definitely go back the next time we're in Dallas - but will hope for a less eventful close to the meal!

Made a reservation for 8 people with them in person. They reneged on the reservation and left me high and dry with a large party. I am going to tell everyone in my large, nearby office that this place cannot be trusted with something as simple as a reservation.

I always wanted to try this place out and went there last week with a party of 5+. Before we went, I read the reviews of others that had been and was a tad bit concerned. With COVID we wanted outdoor seating, called many times to confirm outdoors, when we arrived they tried to seat us indoors. We got a table outdoors in the front patio, that had tones of leaves on it and looked like it hadn't been swept in a couple of days. We sat for about 10 minutes before a server came over. When they came over they pushed us for appetizer orders without having menus yet. When they returned and handed out menus they asked us if we wanted to put in appetizer orders. We told them we would like to order a drink first. They said, "what would you like?". We said, "could we possibly see a drink menu". So this type of service went throughout our dinner Surprisingly enough, we did get excellent food. My steak had been sitting on a warming light for a bit but was still really good. Until the food arrived I was regretting my reservation, but it turned out ok. If you want to spend $500 on a group of six, there may be better choices.

Del Frisco's Grille has always been one of my favorite spots to go to for Sunday Brunch. On my trip here to Dallas I was invited out with one of my girlfriends and her sister. I was excited because I knew exactly the type of experiences that I've had in the past when I've dined here. When I pulled up I saw that there was complimentary valet offered until 4PM. After that they do charge $5. Who wouldn't want to valet? Proceeded to valet and was greeted by a very nice gentleman who explained how the whole valet thing worked as long as you were dining with Del Frisco's. Prior to arriving my friend had already placed reservations so the table we were seated at only had 4 chairs. My friend also came with and so when we arrived we had to pull a chair and extend the table out. The server seemed annoyed and wasn't discreet at all about this being an issue. Confusing as this should be a good thing because you would be tipped out a lot more. My complaints started as soon as we were seated because we arrived late and weren't even offered any menus. So my friend and I made things easy and ordered exactly what everybody else had at the table. Chicken & Waffles! This has to be one of the best dishes here for Sunday Brunch! The waffle is cooked perfectly as well as the chicken. They also give you some kind of signature syrup which is hot and spicy at the same time (weird I know but its so good). The bottomless/endless mimosas or however they classify them were offered and we accepted which I later on wish we didn't. Where was the champagne? It already came pre-mixed in this glass bottle and it was just meh.. Brunch ended at 3PM so we weren't even able to get the full value of this.. Not like the normal Del Frisco's experience I'm use to since the service was so spotty. I just couldn't believe how we weren't even offered more water or just the flat out basics that should come with on a dine-in experience. Hopefully next time will be better because this was not good...

The tomato and burrata salad was divine. The roasted corn bisque was velvety delicious. The ahi tuna entree was a wise choice. The meatloaf is tasty if you like Rosemary. The twice baked potato was almost too pretty to eat. A great wine list and pleasant service. Stop what you're doing and eat here!

Business lunch for four. Philly cheese steak egg rolls were truly, food to fight over. We almost asked for another order. I had the Asian Tuna Salad and it was to die for! Well seared sesame coated slices of tuna with a mix of greens, mango and noodles. The rest of the group had a steak salad, a grouper sandwich special and a chicken avocado wrap. No one left anything behind. We had an entire Coke accidentally spilled on the table by one of our party. The waiter popped over quickly to help clean up and ceremoniously replaced our a sacrificed napkins. A bit loud for a serious lunch discussion but we we there for some socialization so it worked well. This is my client's favorite lunch spot. Now I know why.

Our friends had a reservation on a very crazy busy night, Del Frisco's was able to accommodate our party of 8 with ease and grace, we waited maybe 5min in a very busy bar and were seated in a very comfortable area. Our service was great but the meal itself was even better. My sea bass was cooked perfectly. My date's steak was done to perfection! I was impressed Del Frisco's even has their own steak knives! The atmosphere was great people watching as well.

The atmosphere of Del Frisco's Grill has really great energy. Recently had the opportunity to try it for the first time. My family regularly dines at the Del Friscos' in Dallas or Ft. Worth-we are used to great food and service. We were expecting the same at the Grill. The food was outstanding-we loved the tuna tacos and the prime beef sandwich....also had some dessert-all great dishes. The issue we had related to the service. The restaurant was crowed the night we went. We had reservations and were seated right away....the problem is dinner took over two hours...the waiter kept apologizing for the delay in getting our food and drinks but it certainly is not what I expected from the Del Frisco's family-always known for service. Would like to return for the food, I hope next time for a better service experience.

Between family and friends there were 10 of us that gathered for lunch at Del Frisco's Grille to celebrate my wife's birthday. The menu provided a good variety of choices and the meals selected were all well prepared and throughly enjoyed by all. Our wait person was both friendly and attentive. All in all it was a great time for us in a friendly and welcoming environment. Highly recommend!

We always enjoy Del Frisco's Grille. You can conveniently valet park on the East side of the restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice open layout with options to sit outside upstairs or downstairs. The staff is friendly and attentive to detail. We love the prime rib sandwiches that are big enough to share with Parmesan fries and a nice glass of wine.

A couple of friends and my sister and I got together for a Sunday brunch that was amazing. The food is presented well and I ordered the red velvet waffles. Just the name of the dish got my mouth watering, and they were really good. My sister ordered the chicken and waffles, that was really good as well, but the only key note is that it comes with hot sauce for the chicken and no syrup, so if you have a sweet tooth like my sister you will want to order syrup on the side. We all split an order of their sweet potato fries and those were also amazing. Overall a great experience at De Frisco's, and the open area near the bar makes it feel like you are dining outside but are still inside away from the blowing spring winds. Great atmosphere!

We enjoyed our Mother's Day brunch here this year. We tried the ahi tuna taco app, tomato soup and grilled cheese, green chili burger, and poached egg breakfast sandwich. Everything was awesome. The burger in particular was very good. The inside of the restaurant is kind of cool. There is like a roof top outdoor seating area but it seemed too sunny for us. The make your own bloody mary was also a fun treat for brunch!

I ate at Del Frisco's Grille for a work function, so we had a preset menu. Overall, everything was great. The cheese steak egg rolls were ah-may-zing! I had the filet which was cooked perfectly. Several of our sides and the desserts were family style which was a little weird. For a table of 5, we received a plate of 5 asparagus stalks. I mean they were big stalks, but it was just strange. I really wanted to like the mac and cheese, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. Desert was great! The service was really great. They did a great job of taking care of our large party. I would definitely go back.

It was an excellent meal with a group of girls getting together. They had a menu with specials including appetizer entree and side dish and it was perfect for our group! Attentive staff, delicious food! Only compliant is that they did not wait until each person was finished with meals until they cleared the plates. We were chatting and enjoying the evening and they seemed rushed to clear plates. Otherwise excellent!

Great wait staff with an eye on service. The food we experienced included Chicken sandwich, Steak salad, Cheeseburgers and B&B pickles. Get a side of the pickles! Greatness.

Baby back ribs were great. Wife had the fillet and it was good, not great. Young waiter seemed inexperienced. Could not quite get the fact that when you see an empty glass you offer to refill or replace it. More drinks, higher bill, more tip! Price is not in line with good and average service. Restaurant wants to be high end like its affiliates, but not quite there.

After cravings for steak, the wife and I decided to splurge on a week night at Del Frisco's. While overall, the food was good, compared to the three other Del Frisco locations we have dined at numerous times (Grill in DC, Double Eagle in DC, Double Eagle in Dallas), the quality was a bit under whelming. Maybe it was an off day, but the food was not seasoned as expected. Mashed potatoes were on the plain side, steak was better but felt as if it was lacking something. In general, we love this place. This recent dinner was good but not the spectacular steak experience we are accustomed to at Del Frisco's.

Visited for lunch and was very happy with the baby back ribs and the overall service of the restaurant. Very nice place for lunch.

Loved the food - very fun and everything we had was delicious. I loved their VIP martini and other cocktails were inventive and good. Appetizers are great. The pimento cheese balls and flatbread were amazing. For lunch - loved the grown up grilled cheese and tomato soup. You have to try the Coconut Cream pie - best in Dallas in my opinion. I know everyone says Al Berniets is the best but I thought this one beat it by a long shot.

I made a reservation here because it was close to the Kalita and I had wanted to try it. I checked the menu beforehand and knew I wanted to try the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. But I wanted to see if they had the salad I love from Del Frisco's - The Del's Salad. The server looked at me like I was from Mars. I guess they aren't connected? Anyway I coupled my Egg Rolls with a wedge for dinner. The wedge was ALL lettuce and that head was big. It was nice, fresh and crispy but huge and had very little of anything else on it. The egg rolls, much ballyhooed on everything I have read *and* by the server, were heavy, a little greasy and I really couldn't tell what the mystery stuffs were inside. They weren't awful, just questioning what everyone thinks is so wonderful. The best part was the sauce they sit on. The place is bright, eclectic and, on this Thursday, was full of business people drinking at the tiny bar. I worried that in my sweater and slacks I might not be dressed appropriately (I came to Dallas from FTW) but there were some pretty underdressed souls there. In addition, parking, as with most places on and near McKinney, is impossible. Del Frisco's Grille has valet. I worried about timing with the Theater, speed of dinner and them getting my car to me. I did find a place on the street around the corner very easily.

Del Frisco has always been for me that restaurant you drive by for years and say, “hey I should try it one day”. Well the day finally came when my wife and I could have a date night, which unfortunately does not happen as often as we would like since our son was born. Being a Saturday and having no reservations I knew we would have to wait for a table. Some apps were advertising a 15-20 minute wait. When we arrived at 725pm and to my surprise we were told the next available table was 830pm. There was no one sitting at the patio, we asked if we could sit there and were told the patio was closed but we could wait at the bar, which we decided to do. About 10 minutes later the hostess sat two gentleman in the patio, which we were just told it was closed. Since we just ordered drinks and appetizers we decided to not make a big deal. Several tables were leaving and we thought a table would open soon. 830pm and yet no table. We noticed there were a two top open for a while behind us and my wife went to ask about it. We were told that our table was being cleaned. Well to our surprise they sat another couple at that table that were also in the bar way after us. I polite asked them what time their reservation was for and as you guess it, they did not have one. At 850pm they started to seat more people at the patio, and another hostess (which was older and had originally told the younger hostess the patio was closed) approach us to let us know we could sit in the patio (1 hour and 25 minutes after we asked about patio sitting). We were hungry and with the babysitter clock ticking away we decided to eat at the bar. Which form ordering to done took about 15min. I did ask to speak with a manager (which is something I rarely do) but as expected not much came out of it. Being in the customer service industry for over 35 years I know that daily every business fail in some way their customers. I do not expect and no one should expect for everything to go as planned or as advertise. What does make a difference between a good business and a bad business is how that problem is solved. Unfortunately for us in this situation after a whole bunch of empty and insincere “I am sorrys” to a blunt lie by the older hostess stating she never said the patio was closed we went home aggravated and unhappy.

A fine Uptown restaurant. Very nice upscale atmosphere. Valet parking. Great location. Food was very good. A very good value.

Didn't have our reservation upon arrival, but seated us. Appetizer Flatbread was unremarkable and seemed to have a premade crust. Steak was fantastic. Jalapeño mashed potatoes were dry, not particularly warm. Waitress started rushing us after we received our meals, asking about dessert about half way thru meal. Brought check with dessert. Not experience I thought I would get

Del Frisco's is a trendy restaurant in Uptown. A wide variety of food options. I had a chorizo shrimp flatbread which was excellent, and my wife had a salad with tuna steak slices prepared to perfections (very rare). Interesting sides (jalapeno mac and cheese for example). Entrees can get more expensive. Extensive (and expensive) wine list, though you can find some very flavorful wines at reasonable prices. The terrace is supposed to be excellent but due to the heat we ate inside in air conditioning. Weekends supposedly bring a very upscale stylish clientele. This is a great people watching place, and a good value especially if you get drinks and appetizers. Overall a very good option in Uptown.

Got to be one of the best around if you can do without the white table cloths. Suburb service and greg menu...had steak and top notch and have great apps. Busy and a bit loud...young crowd...conveinent location. Would definitely go back.

Del Frisco's consistently delivers fabulous food and good service. The filet mignon is fork-tender. Salmon special was rich and well prepared. The mash potatoes and other sides are family sized. I like every one of them. Then comes the dessert. Lemon cake, anyone? Me! All the portions are big. Split and share, split and share, I say.

I love Del Frisco’s. It pains me to give it s star, but it needs there attention. Food great, I’m okay with cost, servers were great but: Waiter says as I’m ordering wine...we have special Bordeaux choice , half of. Would be $120 but it’s $66. So I take the opportunity and order it ....,and it wound up being a $22 bottle at retail and a normal mark up of 2-3 times cost. This infuriated me to no extent. I would have ordered what I would have known and chosen to be a value to me, and maybe spent more. But don’t tell me s wine is worth $120, when it’s clearly not. So now I have no trust in the wine “specials” or their opinions on anything. Credibility...shot. If you’re pushing a wine, I get it, but this is no special, and no special value. Be Honest and respect the intellect of your customers. You act like a hustle bar here.

If you have the wallet for an expensive steak dinner, go to Del Friscos. It is delicious! Consistent. I order my steak well done....I know..... And they always send out my steak cooked correctly and tender and juicy! Not a good restaurant for toddlers or younger.

In town for a convention had a fabulous dinner at Del Friscos. Pricey but worth it. The steaks were awesome. The Wine from Israel -Tulip the waiter recommended was superb. Must try the Lobster Macaroni Mac and Cheese as an appetizer! For a wonderful meal, great ambience and excellent service you must try Del Friscos!

We have been eating at Del Frisco's for many years. The old location had a heavy, dark wood atmosphere, which was very nice, especially in the 90's. The new location in Uptown is hip and has a younger vibe, yet still had patrons of all ages. Some of the old staff transferred and we were glad to see them. The place was packed and bustling, so do get a reservation well in advance, even for two. They had absolutely GREAT food! The steak was one of the best I have had from Del Frisco's. The sides had a new twist and were also great. Take a walk to the upstairs balcony for a nice view and fresh air. Only knock, and probably because they have just opened, and were totally slammed, is that it was our anniversary and they brought a happy birthday card... still nice... but also charged us for the celebratory dessert (we didn't ask for??) - I am sure this will settle out. We loved it and plan to go back very soon with friends.

We have been to many Del Friscos and never been disappointed! Beautiful atmosphere, great steaks. Good for all occasions Reasonable prices

We've been to Del Frisco's in NY, Chicago and wanted a different experience with their Grille option. Nick our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The breakfast tacos and egg sausage Sami were both delicious! The sauces were yummy and just perfect! ❤️'d our substituted strawberries for the potatoes! Great relaxing time!

Restaurant manager lied about available alternate tables and was brusque...even though restaurant was still slow before Easter rush. Poached eggs were soft boiled...my foodie at the table was horrified. My sangria was amazing but the poached egg crab cake was a joke... maybe half a crab cake spread over 2 halves of a muffin. Very friendly server but wasn't impressed by shrimp cocktail presentation at all.

This place keeps getting better and better! The steaks are delicious and reliable! They keep adding outdoor space which I love! They have a fun indoor outdoor bar! My husband and I both had the Asian Seared Tuna Salad and it was delicious !! The service is excellent !

Fast, relaxed atmosphere. Business lunch menu is brief, good, and quick. Variety of food from salads to steaks on the business lunch menu.

Was told we were having dinner at Del Frisco's and it turned out to be the grill. While I appreciate the try at a more casual dining concept, there are plenty of other options rather than Del Frisco's "light". Stick to the original Double Eagle for steak and don't come here by mistake due to the name.

A fan of the Del Frisco steakhouses, we found the gourmet dishes at the grill fantastic and the menu quite different from the formal restaurant. Sushi tacos served perfectly; lemon cake huge and for sharing; crabcake appetizer delicious. Would definitely go again; casual and with outdoor patio. Wonderful.

I went to Del Frisco's Grill today for the first time for Brunch with friends. It is a two story restaurant with an upstais patio. It was too cold to sit outside, but the patio was so inviting that I can't wait to get back when it warms up. I had the French toast with bananas and a side of bacon. The syrup was a carmel type syrup. Very delicious. One of my friends had the chicken and waffles. She said it was very good and I believe her because she ate all but a small bite. The chicken and waffles is a top seller for brunch according to the waitress, which seemed to be true because I saw several orders of it being served.

Myself a a few colleagues had a great business dinner at DFG Dallas / McKinney Ave on a Thursday night. Arrived early and had the run of the bar and a great corner-booth table. The Fall 3-course specials include several entrees including a filet-option and a salmon-option each with sides and dessert for $35 - a great deal for this high-quality food. Attentive, personable and well trained server - made for a great evening.

The occasion was dinner with an old friend. On arrival, the principal greeter did not seem to be able to make eye contact, and engage with us. Seems like her computer was more interesting to her. She handed us off to the seater without any communication or eye contact with us. She further endeared her self (not) by walking through the restaurant about 3 times during our meal without engaging with anyone, but simply taking notes on her clipboard as to what stage of the meal each table was up to. This made us feel simply as a provider of income that needed to be dispatched with as soon as possible. Our server, Jeremy C, was very good. Very friendly and as accommodating as he could be. However he had way too many tables to serve and we did not see as much of him as we needed. Poor communication amongst the staff was evident. One simple example was that the person refilling the water poured water into my son's Sprite on multiple occasions. It was replaced each time, but surely it would have been smarter to let the water pourer know about this so that it would save it from repeat. One of our party had some significant food allergies. This had been communicated in advance when the booking was made, and no issues were raised by the restaurant. It turned out that all they could offer that person was only a grilled fillet of fish - literally that was all that was on the plate. She asked for some steamed green beans, and they turned up with a coating on them. When this issue was pointed out, the beans were taken away and rinsed off and returned. Clearly the staff have no idea about food sensitivities, and not surprisingly the beans were not eaten. The rest of the food was very good, so the kitchen does know how to prepare and present good food. There would need to be some significant changes at this place for me to return.

Service was good. Appetizers were amazingly good - recommend the ahi tuna tacos and cheese steak egg rolls. Entrees were excellent - ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Dessert was great. All the desserts were great. But what fell terribly flat was the side dishes. Ordered asparagus and separate order of broccolini. Was prepared ok and tasted good - but the portion size was laughable. For the cost, would fully except to be able to share. Not at all - enough for one person. Felt ripped off for that part of the meal and left a poor impression. Otherwise all good.

I have been looking forward to going here for a long time. Seating near the bar is way too crowded and noisy. Service is decent but not attentive - I expect more for meals that are easily $50+ per person. While the food was very good, that does not sufficiently trump the mediocre service and poor dining experience due to noise and traffic! There are better places in Dallas with as good or better food and a better dining experience. NEVER AGAIN.

Very good staff and service but... Seated at a dirty table but we were able to move to one nearby as they weren’t busy yet. Friday night crowd started filing in after us. Wife had the fillet which was good. I had the seared salmon which was seared well but mushy inside. Atmosphere was loud more like a sports bar.

after we were checked in and did our name tags we were sent upstairs.I must add that the week before we went to Aloft and the space at Del Frisco's was 100 percent better.I think we stood around the bar area for about 10 minutes then moved out onto the outside deck..This was very nice with alot of seating and plenty of standing space. They served different appetizers that were great...This was a good network location.

We don't normally go out for Valentine's Day because I don't want to deal with the crowds or the pressure to get overly dressed up just because it's Valentine's Day, but this year, we decided to do something different. I was able to get a 5:30 reservation, which was a little early, but figured it would offset the reasons I don't usually go out and good for my 14 year old daughter who would be joining us. We arrived right at 5:30 and were seated right away in the upstairs dining room. Upstairs has a wonderful indoor/outdoor bar with a few booths for outdoor dining, and a great curved firewall, I guess you would call it, with seating. We were promptly greeted by our server Jessica. I had read many reviews complaining about not honoring reservations and service, but that was not our experience at all. Jessica was very, very good. She made some terrific wine suggestions and recommended a couple of her favorite appetizers. We decided on the Ahi Tuna tacos and the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls, which arrived promptly and were both delicious, though I preferred the egg rolls just a tad more. The Ahi could have used a bit of seasoning perhaps, a little bland. Jessica then offered three specials, which all sounded delicious. They were a bit pricey, starting at $35 and going up to $65, I believe. One of the specials was a 6 oz filet with 3 jumbo, crab stuffed shrimp, for $59. It sounded delicious, but we thought the pricing was a bit off. On the regular menu, the 8 oz filet is $35. So you are paying $24 for 3 shrimp and less steak? I decided on the 8 oz filet, medium rare. My husband had the NY strip, medium rare, and my daughter ordered the Chipotle Macaroni and Cheese. We also had anchovy-topped Caesar salads, which promptly arrived. Our plates were cleared, and we were provided new silverware with each course. The timing between courses was perfect. We didn't feel rushed, and we weren't sitting there wondering when our food would be coming. Our entrees soon arrived. We were asked to cut into our steaks immediately to check for proper cooking. That felt a little awkward, but I know they wanted us to be 100% satisfied. Each steak was done perfectly. My husband said his steak was the best he's had in awhile. My filet was delicious, but it did lack juiciness. Each steak was served with a loaded potato cake, which was delicious and not overly sized. I was surprised that my daughter liked the macaroni cheese. She's a Kraft kind of girl. But she loved it, and I could have easily polished off the entire dish myself. After dinner, my daughter ordered the chocolate cake dessert, and my husband and I ordered additional cocktails. He tried one of their IPA's on tap, and I had their signature cocktail, the VIP, which is a Clementine vodka infused with pineapple. Jessica presented our check, which we didn't think was too outrageous considering the amount and quality of the food and drinks we had. We then decided to have another drink out by the fire on the rooftop. It was probably close to 7:00, and I was really surprised that it wasn't busier. There was nobody at the bar, and we had the fire completely to ourselves until another couple joined after a bit. My husband was kind of peering into the bar to see the score of the basketball game, and the next thing we know, here comes, Jessica, to see if everything is okay. She had noticed him from across the restaurant looking like he needed assistance. That was impressive. Overall, a terrific experience, and I would highly recommend. I might even go back next year for Valentine's Day. One last note, the upstairs dining room is significantly quieter than downstairs.

Great food, for the price. Good drinks. Patio upstairs is awesome at night. Been a handful of times and haven't been disappointed yet.

We had reservations on a Saturday night. There was a good crowd but we were seated quickly. Service was excellent, food was great--I highly recommend the cheese steak egg rolls! Drinks were very good also. Very nice & a little pricey, but great atmosphere.

Sure, the food is very good. Delicious, in fact. The prices are cheaper than the regular Del Frisco's, but this is still an expensive place, so don't come here thinking you are getting a food bargain. But the crowd here is the real drawback. Essentially this place attracts the d-bags of Dallas who are out with their girlfriends who are showing off her new hair extensions and breast augmentations. They do accept reservations, but they don't know how to keep a reservation. On a Saturday night, we sat down almost an hour AFTER our reservation, and we were given the excuse that "there is a table but the people sitting there now won't leave."

Were in town for a meeting and staying at the Marriott. Walked over with a reservation for brunch. It’s just ehhhhh. Service Ok. If you are a Landry’s Select Member don’t forget your card. They “can’t find you”. The crab cake Benedict is not a go to. Just crab on a muffin, dry, and I ordered my eggs poached medium and they were hard-boiled eggs. The Croque Madame yes. It was good, perfect brioche. The soup was excellent as well. I’d have given 2 stars but the service was good so an extra star for that. With so many choices in the area I’d skip this one.

Great food and menu from salads to premium steaks. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and the family style sides were delicious. The menu has a lite fare, making it a great choice for a late night dinner.

Since the Double Eagle opened, the grille has suffered so much. It is like the are hanging on until their lease is up and then will close. They were understaffed and he food was not great. They took the spectacular things off their menu and it is just average dishes. It was not work the $140+ we paid. Will not go back.

This is a lovely restaurant, but within a a very weak pitcher's throw there are at least four other very lovely steak houses. I can't really define what makes one better than another so must define all as average. Cannot remember one thing that made this lunch stand out other than that we were charged for an extra glass of white wine when both of us were drinking red wine. Loved this restaurant when it was on Spring Valley because unique to the area. Now it is just one of many.

Overall this place is 100% about the scene. I would go back, but only for the scene. The drinks were good too. The food is average. Not bad, not good. Hence the 4 star review(I would rather give a 3.5 star). Our server was great but as a restaurant, and a pricey one at that, I would not recommend to spend the money on food.

Went to Del Frisco's Grille when I was in Dallas for a trade show. Great food (highly recommend the Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls). Excellent service. The rooftop seating was perfect. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in the Dallas area.

Server attentive, knowledgeable of menu, made great recommendations. I will definitely return for good food and pleasant service.

Although I have eaten at Del Frisco's I had never been to their grille on McKinney. The food quality was what I expected (which was delicious) but for some reason I thought there would be a break in the price. I'm not sure why I always think that a "grille" that is a spin off of a higher end restaurant will be a little cheaper.....but this didn't seem to have any reduction in price. Honestly, this location is very nice and seems more like a Del Frisco's proper rather than a grille to me. Overall we were very pleased. Del Frisco's has always paid attention to the details and it has made them a very successful business.

Was celebrating a friends 50th bday and we decided to go to Del Frisco’s. The restaurant is trendy. The hostess when we first walked in was a little rude. Not sure if a lot of “us” don’t go there but she didn’t have the best customer service. However, the bartender was great and extremely attentive. It was a Saturday night and the place was full plus a private party upstairs. My sever suggested a red wine for me and wow, it was GREAT! Black ink I believe. I need to find that 😁 I ordered a salad with salmon - wasn’t on the menu but our sever made it work and I was delighted. It looked and tasted great until I got to the middle of the salmon and it was raw, like not cooked. I was totally disappointed but I had eaten everything else but only half the salmon. A friend ordered the tuna and it was badly over cooked. Our server was great - all the servers were great. One of the guys even spoke French and was joking with one of my lawyer friends. Cool place, great drinks...Order a steak and skip the fish #ijs

I wish there were an option for zero stars so I could display the full reality of our experience. Last night was my 30th birthday. I scheduled a reservation with this location almost a month ago and called to confirm the day before. My reservation was for 8pm. My entire party was there before 8pm but due to unprofessionalism or staffing or whatever the case may be we were not seated until almost 9pm. At the time we eventually were seated our group was separated into a table of 12 and a booth of 4 across the restaurant. Followed by the absolute atrocious handling of our group and reservation we received by far the slowest service we have ever had at any type of casual or fine dining restaurant. Almost 30 minutes for a beverage to hit the table, over 90 minutes for food and another 30 to process payment. We spent 3-1/2 hours at the restaurant and have nothing positive to say. This isn’t the first bad experience we’ve had at this location with service, timeliness or quality. Needless to say the standard of quality and attention to detail does not match the name or the price point. If I were the owner of this store I would do an over haul of staffing from top to bottom and being the quality that Del Friscos stands for. By far the worst dining experience I have had at any types of establishment. Hands down 10/10 would not recommend a visit to this location. Do yourself a favor and go across the tollway to Legacy West and the Double Eagle for a much more quality experience and similar price point. #ruined mother day #ruined my 30th

I have been going to Dallas, TX 3 times a year for roughly the past 10 years. Del Friscos Grille is on restaurant I stop at every trip. The food is fantastic. Steaks are great and so is the fish. This time I had a filet mignon which was like butter. Other times I've had the ahi tuna. Nutella muffin dessert rocks. Trendy setting. 5 Star restaurant all around. I'll be back in January.

This is a loud busy restaurant with a young vibe and fantastic food! The service is very good and everyone seems to be having fun!

Happy Hour menu is the best! Crab cakes, soft, seasoned lightly and melt in your mouth. Drinks are good, not too expensive. It doesn't feel too stuffy here! It's a good place to go and relax after working a long day. We enjoy the atmosphere at Del Frisco's Grille and so will you!
Amazing
Prices were affordable, food was AMAZING! I recommend the stroganoff was super tender. The wine selection is great too
