First night in SF with my daughter. Concierge recommended this place and we were not disappointed, in fact loved it. Great Caesar salad and spectacular pizza. Service was fast and friendly and obviously this is a well known spot. Leaving at 9:30 and they was still several groups waiting to get in.

Our pizza was great and our steak skewers were incredible as well, however, our server was rude and never check on us once after food arrived. We asked for ice because you do not get ice with your water and she gave us all a small cup of ice for our entire table. She also rolled her eyes after we asked for ice. Again, the food is great but the service was not!

Whether you sit at the bar or a community table, you will have a wonderful time. I have eaten here three times in the last couple of months and each meal is memorable. Ask for recommendations if you are unsure. I've tried their pasta, pizza and salads and will be back!

Fritti DeMari with Risottoe. Over priced. Should've headed to North Beach, Inner Mission. Small shrimp is immiserated, 4 mussels and 1 1/2 piece of squid and two clams. WTF for $19. Stay away from this dish. Left hungry.

Best pizza in SF as far as I’m concerned. Great menu beyond the pizza too. I’ve been here a number of times and keep coming back because the food is fab. There’s usually a wait bc it’s so good!!!

Went with a larger group of 7 on a Thursday night. Took about 30 minutes to get seated, not too bad. The seating is not private, so be aware. It’s basically long bench seating where another group could be seated right next to you. The pizza was very good and came out quickly. The menu is pretty scaled back, but the food is good. We had Margarita pizza and a mozzarella with salami. Closest thing to pepperoni. My son ate the entire thing. Very fresh setting.

We visited Delarosa a couple of weeks ago during our trip to San Francisco. We were staying at the Intercontinental San Francisco and wanted to find a place nearby that had a good happy hour menu. The Delarosa completely fit the bill for us. The beer and wine which they had available for happy hour was quite good. Moretti beer for instance for $4. We enjoyed the outdoor patio so much we decided to stay for dinner. We were surprised how busy the place got (it was essentially full shortly after 6PM). We later found out Delarosa is quite well known in town. For dinner, I had the Margarita pizza with burrata cheese. Delicious! This was a great place!

In San Fran for my honeymoon, second of three stops (Boston-San Fran-Hawaii). Initially felt this restaurant had a great atmosphere and buzz. Food was good and generally enjoying my meal with my wife. After only just about finishing our mains, our server came across and stated 'There's your cheque guys'. There wasn't any: 'How was your meal?' 'Can I get you another drink?' 'Would like dessert/anything else?' Basically felt like we were being. Pushed towards the door. Probably the least personal/welcoming service in our trip this far. Unlikely to return.

We'd been in a full day strategy meeting and hadn't had lunch. We were craving a home cooked Italian meal and happened to walk past Delarosa. So glad we went in! It was the perfect place for a late lunch / early dinner. OMG the crab arancini balls were amazing ... and the pizza was sensational! Great service ... flexible to mix and match on the pizza toppings and a great place to people watch on Yerba Buena Lane! You might want to pop into the Press Club for a cheeky wine while you're in the vicinity! Absolutely delicious, relaxing, and a nice vibe.

Ate here on recommendation of a friend. It’s a busy place and indeed noisy but this didn’t bother us too much. The starters were nice - great meatballs but the pizzas were a disappointment. Maybe it’s just me and American pizza versus Italian but it was a bit underdone and the meat on the spicy one was very smoky. It’s an ok casual dining experience but I wouldn’t dash back.

Walked by this restaurant on a Saturday evening about 6 pm and it was already quite busy. Dining room is small and tables are all rectangular communal with round backless padded stools, a few 4-tops out in front on sidewalk. Decided to eat here having found 2 seats at the high table in front of the bar and next to the open kitchen. Atmosphere was great, diners mostly in 30s and 40s, some with young children. We had a kale Caesar salad and the spicy fennel sausage pizza - almost didn't order the latter as one of the reviews was particularly negative about it - but happy to report that it was very tasty. The Caesar was lack luster, the dressing like a bland supermarket variety. The pizzas had thin soft crust, with crunchy edges, but the topping quite liquidy - so the dough in the middle would get soggy no matter how fast you eat. Service not the best - asked for lemon for the water and the waiter just completely forgot it even as he brought the beer - no chance to ask him again since he never came by to check on us after the food came. Had to get them directly from the bar myself. A small issue but no excuse exactly because all it required was a little more attention to detail (for that matter water not refilled either). Not bad for a quick bite but being a casual place don't expect much of service.

Very good pizza and ambiance, I had the margherita with burrata and it was excellent. They also have other pizza that look worth trying and have a pretty good selection of grappa.

It was a Friday night and we only had an hour or so to eat before seeing a film nearby. We did not have a reservation, but were in the mood for Italian, so we gave Delarosa a try. Even though the buzzing room appeared to be packed, the hostess found us a place at one of the long communal tables and started us on our way. Salads came quickly--my guest particularly enjoyed his crisp Caesar Salad and my mixed greens were OK. My butternut squash risotto was served in a bit more liquid than risotto usually comes with, but the flavor was so rich and delightful that I consumed every morsel with vigor. My guest said that his steak spiedini, served on a skewer, met his expectations completely. We did not have time for dessert, but our super attentive server got us through the meal in plenty of time to make our showtime. We will return another time on a less frenzied night when we have more time to try a wider variety of items on the menu. The quality and freshness of Delarosa's offerings are indeed impressive.

Loved it. Sat at the bar, ate really well, had a few drinks and really enjoyed the vibe. End of the night I was entertained, well fed and it was, get this, reasonably priced! Drinks weren't $30! What a novel idea. Entrees for $15??? Wow. Don't get me wrong, I'm used to paying for great meals and experiences but you can get both and wonder what the hell you are paying for. This is a real gem with a lively crowd, a really good bar and exceptionally good food. The staff are warm and friendly and make great recommendations. I didn't have it but the pizza looked amazing. The pasta looked fresh and the portions healthy. The meatball appetizer was amazing and the beef skewers was equally as good. Highly recommended.

While out for a walk during the day in San Francisco, we happened upon this pizza joint and the smells were amazing, so we used social media to quickly see what the reviews and food was all about… reviews looked great, so we stopped in. When we got there, they only had 3 tables sat, including ours, but within 30 minutes, they were packed and we can understand why! The server took our temp when we arrived and we were able to pick a table outside to dine. They have heat outside as well as nice, sturdy glass walls to keep the pedestrians away from the diners (love this concept!). They had several items on the menu that were appealing and we decided to start with their broccolini appetizer, which was sautéed with calabrese peppers – This was PERFECTLY prepared and tasted AMAZING!!! It was a very simple dish, with lots of slivered garlic in it, but it all came together perfectly! Their mushroom pizza was outstanding! The sauce, crust and mushrooms they use were all fresh and really made for a nice pizza. Their fennel sausage and onion pizza was something I asked them to make with their spicy marinara sauce, instead of their regular sauce and to cook it extra long to allow the crust to char slightly more and the chef knocked that out of the park! The spicy kick the sauce gave made me wonder why they don’t make it this way standard and the sausage looked and tasted fresh and homemade! The crust was perfect and very tasty! Overall – this was an outstanding pizza lunch and I’d highly recommend a trip here! The only issues were the table water (tap they put in a bottle) had something floating in it, so we asked for bottled water and they only served sparkling... They should offer still water as well.

The taste of the pizza is great, however it is extremely tight and crunchy, so it ruins the Napolitan style... I think that is a combination between Napolitan style and NY style. On the other hand, their desserts are amazing and I recommend the chocolate cake for two people because it could be pretty sweet. In general, great food a'd nice place. I paid 45 for a pizza, 1 drink and 1 dessert.

Hotel concierge recommended venue which was a miss unless you like extremely an extremely loud music dinner experience. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. Everything looked good but was nothing to remember. Long tables with cube seats (no backs). Service was ok.

This restaurant is awesome. We stumbled upon it at night, and it was full, and it was loud... and we thought why not? It was a great meal. The pizza... the pasta... the drinks. Mmmm. We tried a lot of the menu items, and we shared it all, and we loved it all.

Fantastic !!! Great and attentive service.. rich food and natural ingredients.. great place.. highly recommended!!

My husband and I went here with his brother and sister in law. We ordered 3 pizzas and it was more than enough. The pizzas are meant to be shared. We ordered the fennel sausage pizza, proscuitto pizza and hot salami with burrata. I absolutely loved the hot salami and burrata. It’s one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. The guys loved the fennel infused sausage pizza. The proscuitto was bland because the other two pizzas were full of flavours. But I am sure on its own it would’ve been delicious. If you’re looking for good italian wood fired pizza - this is the place.

We arrived at dinner with no reservation and the place was packed. The team did a great job of finding us a table within 10 minutes but we were literally packed in elbow to elbow like sardines! After initially feeling a bit uncomfortable we soon struck up conversation with our fellow table mates, good pizza and good conversation led to a good time !

So the pizza is very good. The starters are decent and the drinks are solid. Service is dismissive though, and they did not bother to offer us deserts. A place for a quick lunch rather than wanting to linger.

Was in town for a convention and wanted to host a dinner for 20 people that was nice but didn’t break the bank entirely. Found Delarosa and secured the reservation about a month in advance. For large groups, they have you pick menu items to be passed around buffet style. I confirmed the menu one week out and had bruschetta with cheese, salad, calamari, thick pasta noodles with red sauce, margherita pizza and sausage pizza. We also had them bring out desserts to share at the end. The dinner service went smooth and food was brought out in timely intervals. The staff was attentive and brought drinks when requested. After adding drinks, tax, and gratuity, the total cost was about $75/person, which was a bargain considering the quality of the food. I had just completed a trip to Italy about three weeks prior and I would say that the food at Delarosa was authentic and just as delicious, if not more so, than the food I had in Italy. I highly recommend.

The pizza was fantastic! Really recommend Delarosa if you’re in the city and looking for a place with good pizza!! 10/10

We had two types of Pizza, the Margarita and the prosciutto, both were really good, the crust was just right. The pies were on our table in a really short time. The service was good, but the place is a little noisy for my taste.

Loved the food and service here! Great atmosphere, highly charged, nice wine list. Nothing to complain about, just to rave about!

One of these newer minimalistic places with good food and good service. The PIzzas were good. For me more of a lunch place than dinner place

I've eaten at Delarosa many times over the years. I've never been disappointed in their food or service. It does have one flaw, however, and that is the sound level indoors at night. Large groups yell at each other in order to be heard, which makes others do the same. Because I switched to lunches quite a while ago, I don't know if this is still the case (fewer diners oac COVID). Although I've tried most of their other offerings (great meatballs, fritto misto, arancine, etc.) I gravitate toward the pizzas and salads. On yesterday's visit, that was exactly what I ordered. I shared a delicious beet, avocado, and goat cheese salad as well as the pizza capricciosa, which had so many toppings it was like a sandwich on a wood-fired crust. We added anchovies, which were a small but flavorful addition. I like that this restaurant follows strict COVID protocols. They examine your vaccination certificate when you enter and require masks when you're not eating. Delarosa is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and not just because it's within walking distance of my home!

Fantastic beautiful Italian food. Meatballs are amazing, smooth silky taste. The marina sauce also very nice. Pizza margarita thin and crunch. Linguine clams excellent also. Service impeccable. No need to say more!

Tasty beet salad and pizzas here. You can sit outside under the heaters and watch the variety of walkers and bikers go by. Note that you’re paying an automatic 5% for “employee benefits” when you dine here. San Fransisco prices are definitely in effect so unless you’re eating fast food or food from local grocers, bring your loaded wallet. Food is flavourful and staff are friendly.

Great location, when you are looking for a lunch break after long walk and shopping in downtown, this place is perfect! Relaxed atmosphere, amazing service. We ordered the cider, but it was not for us - the server changed it to something else with no hesitation. Food was excellent as well. Will definitely go there again when I'm in the city.

Nice setting and open concept. You share long tables with the guests which is pretty nice. I always like to see that action in the kitchen so the open kitchen concept is great. And of course the pizza was one of the best pizza in the area.

Delicious!!! My husband and I ate here today for lunch when we arrived in San Francisco. The beet salad was one of the best I’ve ever had and the burrata pizza was amazing. Think I might eat here every day while here for a conference!

Visited here for a late lunch whilst seeing the sights in San Fran and really enjoyed our meal. The food was all delicious especially the burrata margarita, which I could eat every day! Service was good and food came quickly. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Part of being adults is rarely meet with with your close friends because of their different comments. I had the chance to do it today and we took 1 15yrs old, 2 10yrs old, 1 6yrs old and my 6 months old +8 adults. We actually went to the museum and after we wanted to grab a “quick” bite so we saw this pizzeria was a good choice for the kids. Well I asked the manager who happened to be by nest to the host if we could take the high chairs and just have the 3 kids on the next spot available which happened to be just one couple next to us. He said NO I need to wait for the couple to be done then you can sit and it might take 10 minutes, I said 10 minutes it’s better than the 20 minutes that we were told by the host then angrily he said “we are all humans and I can’t predict when they will be done” so I answered ok I’m not being rude so you shouldn’t answer this way. The host approached me and she mentioned me that a better choice was was opening for us. By the time we got our better choice the manager came inside the restaurant after he finished his cigarette and told my group we could sit on the high chairs I asked at the beginning but the host kept looking at him and told us that regular tables were ready for us. Well after everything was just bad. Our server disappeared she not even brought water, it took almost 20 minutes to have our drinks then another 20 minutes to have the 2nd round of drinks and we literally had to asked 4 different servers and all of them replied by “I will let your server know” the host came to checked on us and sort of apologize on behalf of the manager. When we got our check the waiter was charging us for items that never made it to the table. I honestly don’t recommend this place it’s not authentic Italian food, the service sucks and they don’t have a diaper change station. We decided to not leave any tip, it was painful to be there but we had kids with us. Manager pic below. Hi! >_<

I was staying at the Marriott Marquis next to the restaurant and noticed that it had many customers. I was able to get a seat ( at a long table) and had a very good meal there. I ordered 2 salads ( a Caesar and a kale) which were fresh and tasty. I also ordered a wood fired pizza which was delicious. There was a wide choice of toppings . Drinks were also interesting and local such as beer and root beer. Service was efficient and friendly , and the ambience relaxed and cozy.

The food is delicious! We love the meatballs and the pizza. The sauce on the pasta is amazing. I love this place. Great service, too. Yum!

Innovative menu. We shared the large beet /kale salad and the vegetarian panini. Both were delicious. The cappuccino after was good, too. Service was excellent! Will go back for dinner to try the butternut squash ravioli.

A late night pizza and wine, Very inexpensive for San Francisco. Pizza was $17 and a bootle of Barbera was $44. Pizza was very artsy and came out fast. So convenient to our hotel. Would go again.

Delarosa is one of my fav places in SF because is a modern restaurant but with very tasty italian food at a very good prices. Must try it! 🍝🍕🥗

I was told this was a good place for happy hour eats and that is true: good house red wines for $17.00 a half bottle, a delicious $6.00 mushroom pizza, and solid dishes from the regular menu including Chicken Spiedini for $13.00 and calamari for $15.00. Very good value, especially for the area, and the service was not only friendly but also making sure I knew when happy hour was ending so I'd get any last orders in.

I had eaten at Delarosa about a year ago, and found the food to be tasty. Since they're open late and near the movies, we decided to stop in for pizza after the movies. We checked in with the hostess and were shown to a table outside. The busboy cleared half the dirty dishes and disappeared. We sat at the dirty table and waited for a server. A large party came in, did not check in, was seated by the busboy and waited on. Meanwhile, we sat at a dirty table and waited for a server. We continued to wait, and then we decided to leave. I mentioned to the hostess that we were leaving - in case they had intended to wait on us eventually - and her response was a bemused "Well, we are running around here." I often feel that Californians don't have the first idea what running a restaurant entails, and Delarosa (Italian or not) is a prime example. I intend to stay away from this place and advise you to do the same.

We were told by the hotel concierge to try this restaurant. A group of six of us went for dinner one evening. When we were seated it was very loud in the restaurant and music was blaring so we could barely talk amongst ourselves. As the evening went on, they did turn down the music and it was much nicer. We ordered several pizzas to share and some foccacia bread which were both amazing! Our server was a little snotty and didn't seem to know much about the menu when we asked questions. She didn't know how many pieces were in a pizza and when asked about beers from the area she didn't know that either. She seemed unhappy to be working and rolled her eyes at one of the people in our party which set a poor tone for the evening. Fortunately the server who actually brought the food and drinks to the table was very bubbly and gave us a good pointer about adding some spicy seasoning to the oil for the bread - it was the perfect touch! They had a nice seating area out front but it was too cold the evening we were there.

Wow. Went to the restaurant and saw a side door that actually says welcome. I entered and met a hostile waiter who said “what do you want?” I said table for one. He jabbed his finger sideways and said “go over there”. Shakened I went to the other area where the receptionist greeted me. This waiter actually made it a point to come over and tell the receptionist(owner?) the “he came in the wrong door”. Very rude. They sat me near the front tables. I will admit I was insulted and angry but being an ordained minister I felt it best to keep my tongue in check. I was hungry and from out of town and SF was a scary place to walk alone so I ate my pizza quickly and left. Not nice to be profiled guys. I am a minority but “judge not lest ye be judged”. Spoiled a perfectly good meal with the treatment.

Delarosa located at the financial district is a bustling place with diners in the day and serves Roman Pizzas, antipasti and creative cocktails. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. We visited as a family outing on a bright sunny day and enjoyed Sudwerk Wheat beer, Cabernet, Rose Wine and Orange Juice for drinks. For the main course, we ordered their Margherita Burrata Pizza, Kids' Pizzas and Veg Panini followed by Ice cream for kids. The thin Pizzas were delicious and fresh; though we had to return the Veg Panini as it was overcooked. The staff are friendly and helpful and the ambience as well as service is great.

Fried calamari was not as good as usual, but it was good. A little bit of a broken up mess. Margherita pizza was excellent. Service was ridiculously fast, and it was very friendly. I'm glad to see they're back post-covid.

Walked into Delarosa not really sure what to expect... it seemed at odds with itself and having a crisis of identities... Italian food, served in almost a BBQ table setup with a rather well stocked bar with some solid tunes playing... Migel was at the bar and was busy for the entire time but still took the time to make us feel welcome. And I agree with him.. Mexican bottled Coke is far superior to the American bottles... the use of corn syrup makes it better..... anyways i digress... I ordered the Pappardelle Napoletana Sugo... and what came was a small plate of pasta and I was initially disappointed at the serving size thinking it was small. After my first bite I was never so happy to be so wrong. The flavour of the sauce was incredable and thr pasta itself was cooked to perfection. Any more and it would have been too much. This dish is a gift to the area and i highly recommend it.

this restaurant is located in a plaza outside the Marriott, the services is quick seating and the food came out fast. I have Pizza & salad and it was delicious. the atmosphere is loud and busy especially at lunch hour. defiantly going to come back at my next visit.

SO GOOD. Put burrata on everything!!! We have the burrata app with honey and hazelnuts and the mushroom pizza sub burrata. Cool atmosphere, good location, and amazing food - literally can't go wrong!!! Love this place!

We always like to try pizza when we travel and stopped here to taste Pizza on the west coast. We had the burrata margherita pizza and it was delicious. With a thin crispy crust, the sauce and cheese were delicious. The staff was friendly and it was different to have

I stopped in for lunch with a few friends - first time I'd been here. My friends and I had been to Moscone Center (for the SF Auto Show) and the location is very convenient to that South of Market area. We arrived about 12:20pm and the place was fairly crowded. We were seated right away at a long communal table with bar stools - not the most comfortable spot but ok. Our server took drink orders promptly, though he had some difficulty hearing mine - the noise level is fairly high though not terrible - and he had to walk over closer to get it correct. We ordered our meals, and I suspect our server didn't get one of them correct, again perhaps due to the loud environment. The incorrect dish was brought to our table with the other dishes we ordered and after the correct dish didn't show up for several minutes we flagged down the server to ask about it - it seemed like he had to get that order in to the kitchen again as it took awhile longer before it came out. I had a portobello mushroom and mozzarella panini with truffle spread - it came with a small mixed green salad on the plate. The panini was tasty (although I could barely taste the truffle spread) while the greens on the salad seemed a bit tired. A shared order of fritto misto with calamari, shrimp, and vegetables was ok though not all that flavorful. My friends seemed like they enjoyed their orders - another panini, a pasta dish, and a margherita pizza. There's a fairly limited but good wine and beer selection, and I had a Fort Point Animal IPA, which was good. The beers that came to our table were all in cans (opened and served with a 12-oz. glass) and I think all of the beers are in cans. Finishing up, several of us paid by credit card and the charged amount was not what we'd told our server to put on the cards (it was a small enough discrepancy that we worked it out among ourselves) but it was one more minor annoyance. Overall my experience was that everything was ok to good but there's room for improvement all around.

Loud music, lots of people and strange seats where you share a big rectangular table with other guests. Very good service in our case and a good pizza. Very expensive (as usual in this marvelous city)

If you're staying at Park Central, Marriott Marquis or Four Seasons, go to this place for a pizza and glass of wine. It is popular for good reason. Although the staff could be a bit friendlier, the food is excellent - priced well and easily walkable from these venues. Went here for late lunch on Friday after checking in to Park Central was enjoyed it very much.

The pizza was very much like what you would find in Italy. The communal tables were interesting, but fun as well! Very good service and food!

OMG!!! If you dont' mind listening to LOUD gangsta rap music then by all means...the food was actually really good. I had a yummy pasta and my friend had the risotto. But the over head music was ridiculous!! I didn't understand why...the place is a really nice establishment!

The pizza was fresh and very nice. They don't have draught beer. The prices are not to high but not cheap.

We loved this place. The service was so nice and helpful and the dishes were delicious! It was possible to share everything! It was fantastic! The price is worth.

I came here with family, it said online that there was vegan options on the menu, got to the restaurants and there was no vegan options already so adjusted a meal, which I wasn't that bothered about, the meal arrived and the pizza sauce was over seasoned and the vegan sausage wasn't very nice either. Food came fast though and it looked good, shame about the taste.

Although the wait was long it was worth it for the pizza, I shared the pepperoni pizza with my brother and wish I had one to myself! I didn’t like the seating as you are squashed together next to other parties, other than that great pizza and glad to of dined here

It was super easy to find a gluten-free and vegan pizza and it was delicious. Busy place. Just did a take-out order, which was ready quickly.

Had a small group of 6 so we didn't expect immediate seating, but it was like pulling teeth to get a drink while we waited. When we finally got seated, the service was ok but the food made up for it. The drink I ordered at the beginning arrived shortly after I had finished my meal. No huge complaints, but this place is overrated and I wouldn't spend another dime.

We had lunch there on a semi warm day for SF. Had pasta pizza and sea food. All good. The cafe was very diverse and had a sense of city - the servers were welcoming and we stayed for almost two hours with our desert. The prices are good and affordable.

Highly recommended by concierge at the next-door Marriott Marquis, I can see why many people think highly of their pizza. (I'm a NY guy with years of pizza-comparisons behind me!) Anyway, this is a popular restaurant, one of a handful in a little mews (Yerba Buena Lane) right out a side door of the Marriott. For me, my first night after arrival, a pizza was the perfect solution. (They are part of the network of restaurants servicing as 'room service' for the hotel). I was told the pizzas are small for one person (individual mini pizzas) but there was plenty (6 slices?). I was in the mood for margarita version, having recently had a good one. They asked if I wanted it with a thick cheese I was unfamiliar with (I'm so un-worldly!). But I got the plain old margarita and it was piping hot and super-delicious. I'd say medium crust, not super-European thin, not New York or Chicago thick. But tasty. Can't comment on the eat-in experience except to say that it was quite busy around 8-ish on a weekday evening, and they have a full menu, not just pizza. But if in Rome... or the Marriott or nearby... A good reputation and for sure (IMHO) good pizza.

Good pizza. Not bad tasting steak. Waitress was very sweet lady and explained the menu. She put a candle in my dessert for my birthday it was so sweet of her!Has communal tables, meaning you're at a table with other patrons. Not too fond of. It wasn't bad but it did say it online and I paid no attention to it.

Found this place by accident, but I have to say the food was really great. I had the linguini which was outstanding... The staff was very agreeable to going lite on the Garlic as I requested and the taste was still outstanding. Their salads also very tasty and enjoyable. The only reason it's not a 5 review is because for the price, the portions were on the small side.

I was just looking for a casual place that we did not need to be dressed up. It was a loud upbeat atmosphere and the only downside I would say is they seat multiple parties at the same table, we had ordered the meatballs and they were very good, and the margarita pizza which was awesome. If you go there to visit you definitely must try the margarita is to die for. The service was friendly and very quick so definitely worth it for a quick bite

Busy, vibrant, noisy with music and happy craic. Excellent food and drink, a really good place to visit

Delarosa is a nice Italian which serves family style on shared tables (not great during Covid). Food was reasonably good. Mine (zite chicken) was over cooked.

We enjoyed two pizzas and the bruschetta appetizer. Six pieces per pizza. We were able to stretch this meal out, so I would say it is pretty budget friendly for a bigger group (we had 6).

The food in San Francisco is always so fantastic. And this restaurant follows right along with those expectations. It’s “community-style” dining at one long table, but you don’t feel like you’re being invaded by neighboring diners. The food is incredible and service unsurpassed! Try the Fritto Misto Di Calamari. Oh So Good!!

Great pizza, we didn’t have a reservation but they had a table outside (cool evening but cosy under the lamps), service good and great tasting pizza. Place was very busy but we were well looked after.

I had a wonderful experience at Delarosa. Our waiter was excellent and informative. We went on a Saturday night with a party of four, we ordered a margarita pizza for the table, its thin crust no complaints, we then ordered the steak with potatoes it was excellent perfect portion sized, the hierloom tomato salad was perfect and light, the dessert was amazing,we ordered the panacotta, tiramisu and the chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream (sorry i forgot the name), the chocolate cake was amazing it tastes like dark chocolate not very fluffy and cakey, not sweet at all, didnt feel guilty eating that chocolate cake Overall we enjoyed delarosa would def go back especially if your staying at the marriot on mission ave the back entrance is right next door

Went with two friends to talk business and eat pizza. The service was great, pretty quick even though the restaurant was full and the food was delicious! Ate the five mushroom pizza with vegan cheese and the brussel sprouts (made vegan) and both were delicious! Having vegan cheese (and sausage) on the menu already blew my mind because it shows they actually care about providing an inclusive dining experience for everyone and they know what they’re doing... Would totally go here again

This place serves a nice margherita pizza. The cheese was really fresh and this tasted pretty authentic in that it was similar to pizza I've had in Southern Italy. Recommended.

Here on a Saturday evening; the place is hopping! Family style seating could be fun, but as I'm by myself (and shy), it was a bit lonely. I had the meatballs and mezzimani pasta; both were great. The place has a young vibe, with loud beat music and poor acoustics (a little loud inside), but there were people of all ages here. Nice outside patio. Full bar.

We walked to Delarosa on Yerba Buena Ln from the Union Square area. Took very little time to get there from the Handlery. Both pasta dishes were very tasty, surprisingly good. Wine prices seemed high so had a local craft beer instead, that worked just fine, I mean how can you go wrong. Sat inside at one of the communal tables. Services was prompt and efficient. No complaints. Lots of people eating and drinking but no wait, which beats a totally empty restaurant any day. If you are in the area and can't find a place to eat that is easier on your budget try Delrosa. It's not cheap but not overpriced either.

A very relaxed informal atmosphere, with so much hustle and bustle. Our server was excellent and informative both about the dishes and the wine. Food was really good and flavoursome, with the pizzas having loads of toppings - which is great for a change. Our server was willing to adapt dishes to suit our parties requirements. Wouldn’t hesitate to go here again.

Appetizers, sides and pizza were great, but the less than stellar service detracted from the experience. Our large party was told to sit at a smaller table while staff prepared a a larger table. The larger table was freed up, so we moved to the table we'd been promised, and the hostess became furious. The waitress refused to do separate checks which is inexcusable in a locale frequented by large numbers of business travelers. Despite the excellent food, the poor customer service and needlessly authoritarian attitude will prevent me from returning on future trips to San Francisco.

Food was good but the service can’t say the same. We sat at the bar, and the two bartenders where giving us minimum service, no smiles, they looked like they just wanted to go home.. it was 8:30pm. They forgot to send out one of our dish.. so had 1/2 our order. Anyways can’t tell you how’s the pasta we didn’t have ours, price was ok, pizza was good. Just because of the waiters and general staff would never go back.

I was traveling to San Francisco for the first time and meeting some friends out there. One of them recommended Delarosa and called it a "fancy pizza" type place which sounded great to the rest of us. I ordered the pappardelle, napoletana sugo and it was delicious! Both kids that were with us ordered the same and the two friends I was with split a pizza that they said was incredibly good as well. The service was great as well and the pricing is definitely reasonable for the amount of food you get. We did get a little confused on where the location was as it does not face a main street but a back walkway. We ended up going through a hotel to get there. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Great location, friendly vibe, quick and efficient service, tasty food! Everybody in our party of 8 loved their meal and the ambiance!

Have eaten here a number of times, the food is very good. Especially like the meat balls! Pizza is good and decent wine selections at reasonable prices. But...inside is very noisy. Outside is much better but prepare for weather.

We had two meals here during this trip. The cocktails are masterfully crafted. Between us we tried almost all their menu'd drinks. Every one was exceeding tasty! First visit, we had Misto Fritto and pizza; excellent! Second time, pastas. My pappardelle had large shreds of tender beef in freshly made pasta. The red sauce delicious. The prices are a great value. We ate at Michelin Starred Cotogna a couple days ago. They have NOTHING on this little place. I highly recommend.

Accidental find. Very busy. Every seat taken inside and outside is always a good sign. Was told there would be an approx hour long wait but could have a drink at the bar. Only had to wait around 25mins. All staff we encountered were really friendly and polite. Not personally keen on communal dining (long table) and not enough seats at the bar whilst waiting so that’s the only reason not giving 5 stars but also understand as we didn’t book. Staff excellent and food great.

This pizza place had a buzzy activity with communal bench seating. We ordered the hot salami and margarita pizza which were both very tasty, thin crust pizzas. We were in and out quickly, the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

The place is quite nice. A communal table is commonly used here which is not that practical if you want privacy. I didn’t like that. Another thing is, the noise level is a bit deafening. If you’re on a date or you want a bit of relaxing and quiet time, this place is not ideal. Food is ok. Service is pretty good. In terms of prices, it’s typical SF downtown prices.

Loved the location, service was fantastic. And the price point was wonderful. It was chilly out but the outdoor heaters made it comfortable...

after a long day of Navy Fleet Week activities and night time Alcatraz tour we were headed back ot the marriott Marquis and stumbled onto Delarosa. It was almost 10 pm and we were hungry and they were still open. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Loved the pizza and the Ziti pasta was spot on. Portions sizes were large and the price was reasonable for the taste, the service and the portion size. They are a bit hidden and not on the street, but worth the effort to find them if you are in the area.

This place is great for quick lunch. We had a Burrata Bruschetta, Margherita Pizza and Caprese salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend.

It was just around the corner from the Marriott Marque. It was on my wife's good rating list before our vacation. I was not impressed by the size, seating or the variety on the menu. Its good for a quick bite of pizza our similar. We both liked the appetizer and main dish we had. I would have given a 4 rating if they had more foods I like so I could compare taste.

Best pizza I have eaten! I went for the mushroom pizza without cheese and added artichokes, vegan sausage and vegan cheese. It was incredible! Highly recommended!

We went for dinner. This is a nice, but very loud restaurant. Opt for outdoor seating if the weather is nice. We shared the beet and kale salad. The large size salad was enough for two and it was good. We also shared the linguine with white clam sauce. It was flavorful, but I’ll bet you could get a much better version in the North End. I did like that they added zucchini, but they skimped on both the clams and zucchini. And when did Italian restaurants stop offering freshly grated Parmesan cheese? We had to ask and got a shaker that could very well have been Kraft Parmesan cheese.

Wonderful food and pizza was large enough to share. Quick service and friendly staff. Decently priced for the local area.

I ate here with a group of coworkers; 8 of us in total. I had a pizza, as did most others, and it was a good portion size, filling, and tasted good. A couple got pasta dishes and were a little disappointed with smaller portions. The food was overall good, and we were happy with our dinner. They would not split the check for us, which was a little frustrating.

Just ate there…or tried. My partner finished her meal. I’m still waiting. Terrible service. The manager was decent about it — comped what we had. But when you are excited about a meal, and other tables are eating their meals, it sucks when you don’t get yours. I wouldn’t go back. Brutal

A friend recommended this place. And I was not disappointed. This place was busy even during the week. The food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Stopped by after a day of conference to grab a drink and appetizer. We had the burrata with honey and nuts. It was so good. I would have liked to try more, but had other dinner plans.

We were staying at Marriott Marquis and this restaurant was just outside the hotel.Loved the food and service, great atmosphere, but music is way too loud.Had the seafood risotto which was amazing.

Carryout Experience was okay, we ordered just one Margherita pizza and it was delicious. Next time when in town we will have a dine in experience !

Excellent pizza. 4 of us took 2 pizzas (mozzarella and tomato and white with ham). Nice place, tables inside and outside. Prices in the US average.

We are french and we find the best restaurant in San Francisco. Great Italian food not so expensive. Very good welcome. Thank you !

Very good Italian pizzas and cocktails. You can select the type of cheese you want (mozzarella, bufala etc) and the cocktails were nice too (they even knew how to do a proper aperol spritz). Reasonably priced for SF.

The pizza was very good, but the meatballs were bland. No texture. Literally looked like fake meat. Sauce was good. Pappardalle was also basic. I love pappardalle. This needed way more seasoning and some life to it. Again, pizza was very good. Might return for that. Oh and an $8 sparkling water (Pelagrino type) yikes!

Decent Margarita Pizza. We sat on the patio on a rainy night and they compensated us by allowing happy hour pricing on drinks. There were heat lamps, so it wasn't too uncomfortable. Red wine was good. Not bad, overall, but nothing to write home about. Waitress was pretty fussy about splitting up our check.

When we are down in the Yerba Buena area we have always passed by this place. This time we stopped in to try it and was very pleased. We were seated right before the late lunch rush so we were able to get a really nice table next to the window. We had a super great server who took very good care of us during our meal. We ordered: - Kale and Romaine salad - delicious! $12 for the large size - Pappardelle, napoletana sugo another winner $15 - Pizza funghi misti and added sausage $21 - had leftovers too! - Bottle of Falanghina - one of our favorites! The place is a bit lound with hard surfaces and there are lots of children and infants but if you sit further away from the bar and large tables, it is better. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting if you are in this area as the food is good, the ambiance is very nice and easy to get to if you are shopping near Westfield.

During my business trips centered around Moscone, I can never get into Delarosa, but we were seated quickly for a late weekday lunch at the Yerba Buena Gardens location. The light, bright, casual spot has a large patio. High communal tables parallel to the bar are a nice option with regular smaller tables around the corner. We saw a lot of friends meeting friends with small kids as well as work lunches. The menu is compact but with ample options. The arugula/blood orange salad was large enough to share with a simple light vinaigrette. My daughter and I shared a margarita pizza with a very thin crust that had a pleasant chew and char with just enough cheese not to be gooey. The chicken meatballs, which could use perhaps another minute of cooking, were served with a bed of couscous and cherry tomatoes that went well...There were a number of other options. Service was prompt and professional and the water carafe never went empty. The bartender composes a lovely Aperol spritz and the beer list offered a variety of types from across California. Highly recommend for a relaxed but not stuffy or formal lunch or dinner.

Service was really good. I only had a couple bites of a pizza, but it seemed a-okay. Staff all seemed nice.

The food we ordered was delicious, staff very friendly and the price was right. I would definitively go back next time we are in town.

Loved the food and lively ambiance of this restaurant. I was dining solo that evening so they put me at a communal type table sitting between 2 small groups of diners. I was greeted by a friendly waitress and promptly served the wine I ordered. I ordered the brussels sprouts for a starter and they were delicious. I ordered the proscuitto, burrata and arugula pizza. Pizza was really great and tasty. There were so many other dishes I wanted to try, but never made it back during this trip. Will definitely be back the next time I am in San Fran. Thanks for a really nice solo dinner out!

It's our first night in SF from the UK. Still on Uk time (2am) - 7pm Pacific. Needed some good quick food to make us feel human after 11 hour flight. Couple of pizzas, great beets salad and some cool drinkS. Overall cool place to grab a bite, shared benches, and bar seating. Was packed when we went in and when we came out - the place to go on Chestnut Street. Absolutely recommend, food is great, service too but not a place to linger at peak times.

We were staying at the Marriott Marquis and this is just on the bottom floor of the hotel. The pizza was very good, and we ordered three pizzas for 5 people, which was the perfect amount. The music was very loud and made it difficult to have a conversation.

Food was good. Noise level was high, very hectic, can’t relax, can’t enjoy a meal. Service was not personal. Very commercial.

We were looking for something casual, with kids, but still good food. Loved this place! We had: Pizza Meatballs Mussels Salad Ravioli Mezzemani All fantastic.

Quite a busy bustling eatery at lunchtime. Food excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. Good choice of menu, pizzas, steak, great salads, also seating outside

Enjoy a team meal at Delarosa. Service was exceptional. Pizza was pretty good - not the best, but good.

I stumbled into this place a few years ago and it became and has remained my favorite. Yes I know another place across town has won international pizza competitions but that’s only because DelaRosa wasn’t competing. Other the margarita pizza with Burrata. If you haven’t had Burrata it’s like the smoothest creamiest mozzarella ever.. only better. Order the Burrata bruschetta with Honey and almonds and you’ll know you found heaven. The salads are great. They have a great drink menu. Service has always been consistently great. They also have outdoor seating and heaters. Still my fav after several years!

We went on a Saturday afternoon, there were available tables inside and outside. We had a couple of pizzas, the Marguerita and the Prossutto and arugula one. Both were very tasty. We also had the mussels that were delicious! The wine by the glass felt very small, like half the portion you usually get in a restaurant. The service was very good, it was my birthday and they even gave me a dessert with a candle on the house!

It’s a good restaurant with an ok price and an average service. The ambiance inside is cool and outside not as much. You can totally go and have a wonderful meal, but it’s not gonna be somewhere you’ll remember in two weeks

I enjoyed this place so much I went back a second time. My server the first time was Matthew and the second time I just went to the bar for some Dungeness Crab Arancini and a rum and coke. My server that time was Ilberto. Highly recommend.

Great pizza and salads. Service was excellent. We went for lunch and were seated right away. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Quick. Awesome and highly recommend. Lunch is probably better if you are looking for something more formal. But nice atmosphere

The service was fast and attentive. We had sausage onion pizza, beet and goat cheese salad and crab arracinhi. All was tasty and well priced. Didn’t love the Sangiovese but the cab was good. Overall really nice place!

Wanted to seek a booking for 8 pax and was advised to return in 55 minutes with a request to sit inside- was advised that we would be called and if we are not there by the time the table will be given away in 5 minutes -not an issue- arrived to be told that we only have a table outside with one heater to cater for a table for 8 at one end- was advised that to sit inside we need to wait again? We did and begrudgingly half the table was moved inside. Waiters were great and so was the food.........the host - the man with spectacles that I wanted to thank personally at end of our experience was no where to be seen - earlier had another lady also complain in our presence how rude and arrogant he was...........what a bad first point of contact- whoever he is, he is a disgrace to hospitality and to customer service.

There is something to be said about going to a restaurant and getting a taste of home. This is precisely what I had on a trip to Delarosa is downtown San Francisco. My wife and I walked in and waited about 15 minutes (lower than expected) for seats at a long communal table near the bar. The decor was trendy with fairly low lighting and good hip hop music playing in the background. We ordered the meatball appetizer and the pappardelle pasta app. The pasta was great, with a light tomato sauce. The meatballs were a standout, with the first bite of sauce bringing me back to my parents kitchen table. It’s very easy to know when something is hand made when it is something you are used to. The taste and texture was great. Same for the meatballs, clearly they were hand formed and delicious. Now to the real star of the meal...two words... BURRATA PIZZA. Specifically the ‘Margarita Burrata’ pizza. When I saw this on the menu it was a no-brainer. The dough and sauce are clearly house made. The Burrata was not house made according to the waitress, but that is ok. It was still great, and the colder cheese on top of the well sauced dough was a perfect combination. I had the leftovers for breakfast the following morning. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this place. Grazie!

I had dinner here in January of 2019 while in San Francisco teaching a workshop. I was on my own and eating fairly early, around 5:45. The restaurant is in a convenient location and I just popped in on impulse. I sat at the bar and the happy-hour wines were very nice and the pizza with hot salami and other spicy treats was delicious! The service was very prompt despite the bar being quiet busy. It was a very nice city atmosphere.

This place has the most scrumptious pasta offerings as well as some favorites, such as the meatballs. Smaller portions but very filling and did I mention the artisan cocktails to boot!

Great food and service - really quick in delivering the food which is done as it is prepared (ie not necessarily course by course). Food quality is excellent - we’ve tried both pizza and pasta here and the tomato base is unbelievable.

We went on a Sunday night at 8pm and it was very crowded but they found us two seats at a long table and sat family style with patrons on both sides. We started with the Brussels sprouts which were baked and not too overwhelming. For entrees we had the margarita pizza. The pizza was light and delicious served on an elevated metal tray. For desert we had the chocolate cake which cane with vanilla ice cream. All of the food was delicious and our server Arael was very nice and timely.

Went in solo for a pizza and salad near the bar. The pie was great and the service was quick and efficient. The problem is that the place is overrun with crazy-loud 21 year olds that you can't enjoy your meal. My ears hurt and my brain was numbed by the inane conversations.

My family and I tried this spot because it was close to our hotel The Park Central, and it was packed. I assumed it had to be good. We tried it the next day, the food was ok; I wish the food was seasoned a little more. The set up is kind of confusing, luckily there wasn't a lot of people there at the time. I don't quite like to share a table with others sometimes, so that was unexpected. Overall I'd say it was an ok experience. Would I come back? Not particularly...

We tried this place and are outside as it was busy inside the patio heaters were great and the food was good with a variety of choice on the pizza menu

If you like soggy pizza, deafeningly loud music (so loud that conversation is impossible) and being crammed into tight quarters, this is your kind of place. If not, you'll probably want to skip it. I don't just wish I could get my money back, I want that time back too. Awful!

Food was good, service was fine. There are small tables + communal tables, which can make an intimate conversation over dinner challenging. Desserts were great.

We made a reservation for this restaurant through Yelp. Upon arrival we we assisted immediately by the hostess. The table was good and the atmosphere great, lots of people and little noisy. Great menu and good drinks. We ordered an Aparol Spritz and beer and a coke. The Aparol was made with seltzer and not prosecco, which to me was weird and not correct. The 3 Pizza’s we ordered were really outstanding and very tasty. All in all a great pizzeria however not cheap.

Delicious food and a great menu to choose from, including an interesting drinks list. The waiting staff were super helpful and fun, without being in your face.

We visited Delarosa on a weekend evening and found the place crowded, as it is located close to the Market Street in the heart of the City. We tried their Pizza Marg Burrata, Prosciutto and Fennel Saus. We found their thin crust Roman Style Pizzas with unique fillings quite tasty. Their staff are helpful and courteous. A good experience.

We went here for a late dinner and only ordered a couple of appetizers to share since my husband and I weren't too hungry. We shared the Burrata and Meatballs and both dishes were really good. The ambiance is trendy with communal seating and the music is old school R&B. We'd come back here and try their pizza.

A FABULOUS DINING EXPERIENCE! A delightful meal on a Sunday night. The staff was helpful, quick and friendly. The long table style sitting is a fun alternative. The food was unbelievably delicious and piping hot. I had an incredible meal for a very reasonable price. BRAVO!

Good for pizza and pasta lunch. Informal, trendy atmosphere and outdoor seating when weather permits.

I was staying at the Marriott Marquis and had just come back from taking some photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was just after 10 PM and I was looking for a place to eat. Most of the nearby places close at 10 PM but I noticed that this place closed at 11 and had some great reviews. It is located on Yerba Buena street on the rear side of the hotel, which was very convenient. I walked in and was given the option to get a table (bench/communal table style seating – both indoor and outdoor) or to sit at the bar. I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I ordered a beer (about $7-8) and got a pizza (Artichoke, ham…. – about $16). The pizza came out in about 15 minutes or so. The wood-fired pizza was cut into 6 slices and about 12” or so. The pizza was very good. You can taste that it was made with fresh ingredients. I was only able to eat half and I took the rest back to the room. Though quick, overall I had a great experience there and would love to return to try some more things.

Good Italian food in Yerba Buena near AMC Theatres, shopping, Market Street. Good food - not especially great. Helpful wait staff altho when we were there there was a problem with cash register that held us up - hopefully a one time thing. I'd say the best thing here is convenience if Italian sounds good but you don't want a drawn out meal. Good pasta ands pizza and unique salad.

Two for dinner, one starter, one vegetable, two main courses. Simple. One main course arrived. The other did not. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Eventually it was clear the second course had been forgotten by... the cook? the server? In the end: one terrible calamari fritti; one cold broccolini and one cold pasta sugo (because of the wait for elusive other main course); one limp "sorry about that" apology from the server. $92 including wine and sparkling water. Never again.

Long wait to come here, around a fifteen to twenty minute wait. The tables are arranged in like a park table in a way, very nice setting and atmosphere as you can kind of observe what’s happening in the kitchen with your food. The portion size is a reasonable amount and the food is very tasty and appetising. Reminds you of a italian restaurant with the atmosphere and the food itself. The food wait was around ten minutes so that was fine. Nice experience would recommend!

I have never had Roman pizza before and was a bit apprehensive... it was amazing!!! I would love to come here again. Tables are mostly community ones, so you will be sitting with other people. Great atmosphere.

Fine family friendly place. Food was good and served quickly and my spicy sausage pizza was brought hot right out of the oven. I also order the beet salad and it was delicious. Service was excellent.

We picked up pizza to go and we really liked the quality of the food. It is not the cheapest pizza in San Francisco but worth the extra dollar.

We ordered a salami, fennel sausage pizza. They brought us a carafe of water, which was good, because we drink a lot of water. What they didn’t bring a lot of was parmesan cheese. We had to ask two times for more cheese before we got it.

Came here for late lunch so my wife and I were the only customers. Decor is ok, service is friendly enough, food - pretty good. Again why does Trip advisor just not allow for a good ratin? I had a fennel pizza and the meatballs. Pizza was good, meatballs - would prefer 3-4 smaller ones than 2 great big ones which are very dense. Taste ok, but bit stingy on sauce and 1 slice of toast, plus luke warm. Value for money is actually pretty good for downtown. I did have one issue - the overly loud music. As the only people there I had no problems asking for it to be decreased in volume which was done, but half way through it went back up again and for 3/4 of the brief meal time it was aggressive rap music. I swear so I am not over sensitiive of such things- but aggressive rap music with motherf____ this, f___ing that, n word this and that. Really? Is it necessary. I made a comment but the waiter just acknowledged and did nothing. It may not be a kid's restaurant but it will have families and do I want to go for a pizza to be accosted by this.

We went to lunch in a group of 5 people on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't full. We were well served. The beet salad is delicious. Highlight also for the linguine with seafood. Great gastronomic option in San Francisco.

Friendly smile upon arrival and attractive decor. That's as good as it got. The menu lacks in imagination, the portions were child-sized, the presentation was canteen-like and all the pasta tasted the same (although we all ordered different dishes). The pizza was inedible as it was so over-loaded with Oregano. My husband, a pizza afficionado, said it was the worst he had ever eaten (or attempted to eat as he was unable to finish it). The wine was served in tumblers. To be fair, the manager deduced one of the pizzas off the bill - as only a portion had been eaten. Unfortunate too that the pasta was served 10 minutes before the pizzas meaning that we didn't even eat together. Expensive mistake.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. The Crab Arancini were delicious. Pizzas tasty too but nothing special. Service not very personal however attentive enough and quick.

Poor pizza. A staff girl was very rude and arrogant I would never stay there again and would not Recommendation. Too bad because the location is good, in the center and also the prices are not high by San Francisco standards.

Start with the good. Try the amazing honey burrata bruschetta with honey super tasty. Ambiance is nice. They have indoor & outdoor seating. Communal dining tables inside & some two tops as well. The Margarita pizza was disappointing though. The burrata was runny which is not good on a pizza. Maybe it was a fluke but it was only visit here.

This is one busy and noisy place with severs moving around providing dishes that look delicious. I usually go in, sit at the bar and order a Margherita pizza with Fungi (Mushrooms) and a glass of red wine. The pizza is delivered pipping hot with just the right amount of red sauce and mushrooms. With the restaurant being downtown and with many hotels close by, the crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. They have a heated outdoor seating area. The bartenders are good and friendly; it's always fun watching them mix the drinks. All in all, stop by and grab some food if you're in the neighborhood.

Tasty, fresh, cozy setting. Food came a bit in quick succession. Appetisers tasty! Friendly and helpful staff. Nice vibe around.

Been there with a friend of mine and really had a great time! I got margherita burrata, their pizza is thin and crispy made of genuine ingredients. I really enjoyed it, I would go back for sure

Most times I am disappointed by pizza outside the NYC area but this was real good. Waiters was friendly, food came fast, real tasty. Maybe a little pricy but guess that is what you pay in downtown

OMG such a great find! We were late getting to our hotel, and starving, so we went in to eat and it was soooo good! The bread was amazing and each dish was unique and flavorful. All 6 of us said it was fantastic

Awesome place! The food was great and the waitress we had was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place

Had the margherita w burrata pizza with additional topping of prosciutto. Excellent pizza. Great crust and the burrata gives it a unique taste and texture. Also had the mussels which were quite good. Excellent service. Place a bit noisy but that’s the atmosphere.

Had the meatballs and the hubs had a beet salad. Neither of us were impressed and what's up with water being served without ice?

We've been wanting to try this Italian restaurant out for several visits now. We were going to lunch at Blue Stem Brasserie, but my wife reminded me how disappointed we were when we had some sparkling wine there about a year ago. Delarosa doesn't take reservations but we were able to get in since it was later in the lunch hour. We were seated right away at one of their community tables, which was fine. Our server (Toku) came right away and we started off with giving him our drink order (an amaretto and coffee). Tofu informed us that he would bring our coffee and amaretto separately and then we could pour it/mix it ourselves. What's up with that? Well, we decided to instead proceed with our lunch order. This went much smoother. When Toku left our table, I proceeded to the bar area and spoke with one of the persons behind the counter (Matt) if we could order our Amaretto and Coffee normally. Matt said yes we could and said he would bring it to the table. Soon after, Matt showed up with our wonderful drinks (see photo). It turns out that Matt (Reina) was the restaurant General Manager. Who knew? He also assured us that our drinks would be added to our check and not have to pay separately (which we were glad to do). How about that! The rest our service experience with Toku went just fine with no further hiccups. We ordered some herb bread w/ olive oil, and roasted cauliflower to start. The cauliflower was presented in a "boat" dish and was really a great size order. The herb bread along with the olive oil was also delicious. We think the herb bread could also be used as part of their pizza mains (which they have more of). Of course, our spiked coffees were really nicely done and we loved the glass cup. For our main courses, my wife ordered the small (which was a good size) Misticanza salad. She opted for adding grilled chicken breast. The chicken was also nicely prepared and nice size .One could also order this salad for a main dish. I had the Spiedini of chicken meatballs which were also great portion sizes (you get three of them). Needless to say, we were too full to order any dessert. All in all, we definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner for that matter. Next time, we will return for dinner.

No room at the bar when I arrived and hostess suggested a " an available high top". This meant a long high bar with stools and 40 other people, banquet style. Service was good, I enjoyed my food (no bread or salad with the pasta dish). Atmosphere is loud, fast customer turnover. Lots of families. I had a real problem with the wine I ordered. Absolute short pour (maybe 3 ozs) for $12.00. Even the person next to me remarked about it. Complained to one of the staff and mentioned that it would be in my review here. Although the food was good, if you're looking for a quiet, intimate lunch or dinner experience, you won't find it here.

The food was good but the excessively loud music completely spoiled the evening as it was impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. Also, check the prices of the wine carefully. They charged us $40 for a bottle of rosè. I wouldn't mind so much if it were an expensive import but it was a Californian one!

Went for lunch with a friend. Communal sitting at long tables with individual stools. Service was friendly and efficient. Beet salad with shaved ricotta needed some salt. We each got a pizza - one eggplant/veg, another with prosciutto/arugula and added burrata. The pizza crust was great (thin) however neither the burrata nor the prosciutto were of great quality, which took away from what could have been a great pizza. Guess I expected more given the great reviews.
Great pizza
They don’t take reservations but there was no wait on a busy Thursday night. The pizza was super good and dough-y. The salad we ordered was really bad and not worth what we paid for. It was just plain lettuce leaves.
