Delicious sandwich!! Higher price point for sure but was 100% worth the money, its reflected in the quality and taste!

By georginamaple |

Had found this gem on Tiktok and knew we had to visit during our short stay in San Fran! The sandwich was definitely a higher price than most places but was 100% worth the money. The sarnie was full of meat and filling which reflects the cost! If you love good food you will agree the price reflects the quality of the food. Staff were great and recommended which one to try. Please go give them a try, you wont be disappointed!

Overpriced, even for SF

By brianbva |

Yes the sandwich was good, but for $18 I at least expected a foot long!! I guess people don’t mind paying, because there was a long line at lunch. Not much room to sit down in the shop.

WoW !!!

The best pastrami sandwich in San Francisco. The sandwiches are so tasty and good, it is like your in heaven. I would recommend this place to everyone. Five star sandwiches in San Francisco.

One of the best sandwiches I have ever had

By Rick P |

Best sandwich I have had in recent memory. There were so many items I wanted I had a hard time deciding. I ended up ordering the Boca which was loaded with pastrami, corned beef, and brisket. Meats practically melted in your mouth. Good bread and pickles. I definitely recommend.

Very casual spot with great food

By Jonathan B |

The neighborhood isn’t much but given the stellar Yelp reviews we were willing to walk the uninteresting 15 minutes needed to get there from SF MOMA. Like the walk, the decor of the restaurant was fairly meh. The walk, however, was amply rewarded by a tummy pleasing lunch - one salad and one sandwich shared and we were stuffed. The food is freshly prepared, the combinations tasty and the ingredients all first rate. All the sandwiches — including the chicken salad — come out hot. Some complain about the prices but given the quality of the ingredients this place is worth the money.

Deli Board takes sandwiches to a higher state

By mdbtraveler |

If you need a high quality lunch at a moderate price, then Deli Board is the way to go. Sandwiches are big enough to share, with lot's of combinations available and great pickles on the side. Can be crowded, but they turn orders around quickly. Worth the wait.

A Really Good Sandwich

By DoogieHowser4858 |

I came across this store from reviews I saw on another website and I'm glad that I was able to stop there. I ordered the Skully and it was a really good sandwich. I ate it hours after I purchased it (I was flying out that afternoon.) and can only imagine how it would have been that much better if I had eaten it earlier. I told the cashier that I was getting on a plane and she suggested that the dressing and mayonnaise be placed on the side. All of that worked for me. It was a nice amount and quality of meat on soft bread. I wish that Deli Board was open all day as opposed to for lunch only (11-4) because I would have liked to have a sandwich for dinner. Make sure you get there at 11 because one of the reviews stated that the lunch time crowd became heavy at 11:45.

Sandos in the City

I had to visit this place after seeing their pictures on Instagram. My sando did not disappoint, one of the best I’ve ever had. Owner is nice and friendly too.

A little piece of Cleveland

By Ananth A |

The sign by the register says it all. Just an ordinary guy from Cleveland. I am guessing this refers to the owner/founder. And thats exactly what the food tastes like. I ordered the Reubenesque, which is sort of their take on, you guessed it, a Reuben. It wasnt on Rye, it was on a Sourdough roll. But everything else was spot on. The sandwich came with pickles, and they were crisp, sour and tangy. Perfect. Would go back any time.

Expensive but good food

By Mayur S |

There is a queue of patrons despite the expensive sandwiches. But the meal is filling and delicious. Open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 3pm. A small seating area is available inside. Weather permitting, seating is extended outside as well. Service is friendly Their combinations are seemingly odd, but the staff is very accommodating for the fastidious eater. Salads and fries are as well prepared as the sandwiches.

A slice of the 216 in the 415

If you like deli sandwiches this is the place for you. I was sent there by my cousin who lives in SF an I was shocked to find that the owner was from Cleveland. For all you east side Clevelanders this is better than Jacks or Corky and Lenni's, it is a mix between them. For all of you from the rest of the world...lets just say that this will be one of the best sandwiches you have ever had. They have Stadium Mustard to boot! Worth a stop for locals and vacationers, but arrive early there was a line outside the door before they even opened!

Puts the "delicious" in Deli. Best deli in SF!!

By David P |

Absolutely the best sandwich/deli shop in SF, bar none!! I travel frequently and always look for a good local/hot spot deli to compare cities by and the Deli Board is by far the best one I've found. Sandwiches are plentiful and DELICIOUS, the staff friendly and fun, and the atmosphere energetic. The added bonus is they play actual vinyl records for the music.

Good lunch joint in SoMa

This was a solid lunch joint for a quick and friendly business lunch. Great selection of sandwiches served with some tasty pickles. I had the Jackson - delicious!

Master of sandwiches

Excellent corn beef, well seasoned and lean. For something different try the "Mick". Amazing sandwich. Put together like a big mac, but way better.

Amazing Sandwich

By Brian B |

So, first of all, I was from out of town. We were at a conference at the Moscone Center, and colleague looked up local reviews and this popped up. The local reviews were right. I had a great sandwich that really hit the spot. And, throw in a pickle, I'm sold. Overall great sandwich. And, the vinyl player behind the counter really did it for me.

Corned beef master

If corned beef is something you enjoy, come here. If it's not, come here. The sandwiches are a truly special thing. Large and filling, moderately priced.

Great Sandwiches

Deli Board is truly a gem. It offers large and delicious sandwiches and salads, along with side dishes and drinks. Service is very friendly, and there are small seating areas both inside and outside.

My all-time favourite sandwich shop. Be hungry!

By mjb1001 |

This is one heck of a sandwich shop, and no mistake. The cool menu re-uses a palette of ingredients to make a great range of sandwiches/wraps. They change frequently, but I had one with pastrami, cheese, several other things in it... moist and delicious. And a sour cherry soda to help it all go down. The only problem: it's difficult to finish one on your own. Really. Quite possibly the best sandwich I ever had, and no exaggeration.

Delicious!

Thanks to Trip Advisor our group chose this spot nearby our conference. Tiny but clean and did snag a spot for three. Super friendly staff helped me choose from an impossible list. It all sounds interesting and good. I had the Fatty Matty II with tuna salad and falafel! On the best French bread that was soft with a thin crust that wasn’t hard to eat. Incredible!

You Will Not Be Bored at Deli Board

By CJ G |

You will not be bored with lunch from Deli Board. Located on a busy block of mid-Folsom, Deli Board puts out some serious sandwiches. Inside, the space is clean and modern with polished concrete floors and walls adorned with giants pictures of (what else?) sandwiches. The extensive menu is a sandwich lover's heaven; there is something for everyone. With heaps of corned beef, Romanian pastrami, Swiss cheese, cole slaw, pickled onion, and thousand island dressing on a perfectly toasted Dutch crunch roll, the Ruprecht ($12) will make you never be satisfied with a simple Reuben again. Served on a toasty garlic roll, the porky ($11), featuring Black Forest ham, bacon, American cheese, and pickles, will please lovers of tasty salted pig parts. All sandwiches are accompanied by crispy, house-made dill pickles that have just the right balance of spices and acidity. Those choosing to avoid meat will love the huge "phat" Greek salad ($10) with fresh, crispy romaine, imported feta, calamari olives, cucumber, pepperoncini, and cherry tomatoes. Service is friendly and fast. The waitstaff seems to genuinely enjoy helping diners choose the right sandwich from the extensive menu. Despite the rapid service, the lines do get long at lunchtime, so either come early (before 11:30) or late (after 1:15) or just chill out and be prepared to wait. While a little pricey, Deli Board has some of the best sandwiches in The City.

Great Lunch stop

Fabulous mix of fresh ingredients for excellent sandwhiches. Real deli taste with a California twist. Restaurant has a great vibe.
