Ordered online for curbside service. When we arrived we were told we had to come in . Okay, what's the point in curbside,. Got the food back to the room and the order was wrong. Seems to be a trend at all denny's.

Late arrival in San Antonio, and spotted the Denny's without walking distance of my hotel. It had the expected late-night collection of characters but none were scary. Service was spotty -- good for a few minutes followed by long periods of not being able to get anyone's attention. There were many unhappy diners, and my order was very late because the waiter said he forgot to submit it. At least he was honest about it. Would I return? If it is the only place open.

Stopped here for a quick lunch before heading to the Riverwalk. Location is great. Food and service was great also.

Peggy was a great waitress very friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu . Restaurant was clean and the bathroom was not smelly

- First two visits, for breakfast, fast, no complaints. Kudos to server Robert. - Third visit: Sat in a dark corner, two lights needed changing. - Denny's half-full, I know Denny's is staffed and is prepared for a full house. - Order taken quickly, not asked what kind of toast. Order took at least 30 minutes to arrive. Waitress did not let me know the kitchen was behind, had to ask. - Spoke to manager who offered apologies. Denny's is usually a safe, consistent choice but this visit let me down.

We ended up going to Denny's because we were late getting out of some other activities, and it was pretty much the only thing nearby for food. The area is a little scary, being surrounded by empty lots, parking garages, and cheap hotels, but it wasn't too bad. I don't really have any complaints about any of it, but not really a whole lot to praise, either.

I was disappointed. Not only did we have people approaching us in the parking lot asking for money when we ordered the waitress got the order wrong. Mind you this was at 4 am and no one was there so she wasn’t busy. When we got our food it wasn’t even done. Hash browns way way under cooked the scrambled eggs watery and way under cooked. We have always loved dennys and were excited that we found one to eat at. They are not located in our area. We just left the food and went to pay. The manager did take off $15 of what our bill was. Will never go back there again.

The food was hot and very good. Service was fast and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. The grounds were well kept and pretty.

We came on Sunday around 11 am. The place was packed. The wait for seating was long and were told that it was going to be almost an hour long wait for food because they are backed up in the kitchen. We were seated faster that expected. The waitress was extremely nice. She got our drinks and took our order promptly. We received our food sooner than expected. The sandwich bread was a little over toasted but tolerable. The seasoned fries were overcooked, I could only eat about half of them as the others were to hard to eat. My son loved the frosty snowman pancakes. He liked being able to decorate it himself. I heard that one of their cooks called in and they were shorthanded. It took a while to receive and pay for my check, but under the circumstances, and with the amount of people that were there, they really did a good job all things considered. The restaurant looked clean despite all the traffic. Would definitely try this Denny's again in the future.

Quickly seated when crowded, service and pricing was good. Breakfast food selection was extensive and goid. Better than the $40+ breakfasts along the Riverwalk for simple waffle breakfast with no sides.

Found it odd when we walked in that there was a spill with a warning cone next to it and when we left it was exactly the same. A quick mop job was all that was required to make the entryway a little less of an obstacle course. That aside, we were seated quickly, service was fast and our orders were spot on although a little overuse of butter. Judy M, our server was very pleasant and did a great job taking care of us. Conveniently located across the street from our hotel.

We went to this location on a Saturday during the noon hour. The place was crowded. Our drink and food orders took a little longer, as compared to other Denny’s locations. The wait staff was clearly slammed. If you’re staying at a nearby hotel and don’t walk to drive anywhere, it’s definitely worth walking to. If you are willing to hop into the car and eat at a similar place, I would find someplace away from the downtown area.

We came to San Antonio to see the Alamo. We parked not far from Denny's so we thought we'd stop there for lunch. It was busy but we got seated quickly. The problem we had was that all our food wasn't coming out at the same time. I ordered over easy eggs but my English muffin didn't come out with it. By the time it did, the egg was getting cold. The same happened with my husband's pancakes. He initially got everything but them. Our server brought those about 5-10 minutes later. My hash browns weren't done very well, just slightly browned. I think that they were trying to pump out orders too quickly. They missed the mark this time.

hubby and I went to Denny's in pflugerville texas on easter sunday. we stood there for over 15 minutes and only 1 employee acknowledged us, with a head nod. 5 other employees completely ignored us. and they only had a falf a dozen patrons. we will never try them again.

A great place for families, especially for breakfast and lunch. Great on the budget for families. There are plenty of locations throughout the city.

My recent visit to the restaurant fell short of expectations on several fronts. Despite arriving to find the restaurant relatively empty, with only about a quarter of the tables occupied, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues, lackluster service, and disappointing food quality. Upon entering, I was promptly seated and handed a menu, but it took an inordinate amount of time for a server to attend to my table. When she finally arrived, she seemed disinterested and unhelpful when I inquired about the menu items, lacking the attentiveness one would expect from a server. Feeling a bit put off, I decided to visit the restroom before ordering. Unfortunately, what I found was disheartening. The restroom was in a state of disarray, with trash and dirty dishes scattered about, indicating a lack of proper upkeep and cleanliness standards. Turning to the food, while there were some highlights – notably the delicious Double Berry Banana Strawberry Pancakes – the main dishes left much to be desired. The chicken fried steak was disappointingly undercooked, and the gravy accompanying it was poorly mixed, containing visible chunks. The zesty nachos, despite their promising name, lacked flavor and toppings, leaving them rather bland and uninspired. Additionally, the hash browns, while tasty on their own, were served separately from the gravy, detracting from the overall dining experience. In sum, it's evident that this location is in need of more attentive and conscientious staff who prioritize customer satisfaction over personal distractions. Regrettably, based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this particular establishment to others seeking a pleasant dining outing.

I go to this Denny's everytime I come to San Antonio....always good for a reasonably priced lunch or breakfast. Service sometimes is slow as they get overwhelmed with volume. Love the club sandwich and daily soup choice. Easy walking distance for many hotels on the River Walk.

No surprises, just typical Denny’s. Took awhile to be seated on a Saturday morning at 7:30 for 5. Received menus in both English & Spanish. Not really gluten free savy location. English muffin (GF) came with no butter, asked and said had no gluten free butter.

Food was fast and pretty good. I ate here once and came back the next day and the computer systems were down so they couldn't have anyone in the store until 7:30am.

THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD I EVER HAD AND ME AND MY FRIENDS ENJOYED IT SO MUCH, WE ALSO HAD THE BEST SERVER, HER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL WHEN IT CAME TO SUGGESTING FOOD FOR US TO TRY. THANK YOU ARIYANAH!!!!

I had the best Blueberry pancakes here ! They just melted in my mouth. And eggs and sausages and fried potato and cheese on the side ! So yummmm!

This is a Denny's just like all Denny's. The plus side is that it is a hop, skip and a jump from the La Quinta River Walk location. Perfect for folks that need a late night snack or just want to grab something to eat in the room

Good reasonable price restaurant in the Riverwalk area. Within walking distance of many hotels. Nice staff but slow on putting together a to go order. Food was about average.

We had a short time for breakfast. The service was quick and friendly. The menu had excellent choices and prices. If you need a good breakfast In San Antonio near the Riverwalk, this is the place to go.

The earlier you go the less of a wait for a table. Basic foods at reasonable prices. Not gourmet but filling. Quick and courteous service. We ate at the one next to the Marriott River Center.

The offer value breakfast for 5 USD. Very convenient since my hotel didn't offer breakfast. The place is conveniently located near riverwal mall next to La Quinta inn.

I had a fantastic experience at Denny! Anthoney the manager was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was fast and efficient. The food that I purchased was exactly what I needed and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Food was great. Kimmy was the best waitress ever. Great shakes. We got our food really fast regardless of the coaching school. Took great care of us

GeeGee was just an incredible waitress with the sweetest personality! She made our stop At Dennys a great experience. Great meal Too!

I had just arrived in San Antonio, and Springhill Suites only serve breakfast. It was dark, so I didn’t want to venture too far. Denny’s Diner was the first place I came to. I guess it’s OK if you like diners. There was no alcohol, but my soft drink was delivered in a glass with two chips on the rim. Maybe I should have complained, but the waitress was very pleasant and chatty, and I didn’t want to appear difficult. As with food outlets like this, vegetarian choice was somewhat limited. Denny’s do a ‘Build Your Own Burger’, for which you select the type of bread, the paté base – one of which is vegetarian – the type of cheese (a choice of three), and a topping. Chopped avocado is 85 cents extra. Finally there is the sauce. I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend the bourbon sauce, which I regretted choosing: the waitress said it was spicy, which sounded good, but it was sweet, sticky and sharp, and really cancelled out the taste of the other ingredients. The fries were OK, but not great. Service was extremely prompt as well as friendly. It was getting late and I wanted a quick meal -–which I received within only a few minutes – but I’m afraid the quality was poor.

This was a to go review. I was staying at the hotel right in back of it. It was super easy to order and pay online. I got to the Denny's and you have to deal with homeless at the front door. Inside the staff greeted me and got to work boxing my order. It took a bit to box for some reason but at least everyone had good attitudes service wise. I ate the food. I would return.

This was a great Dennys! Prices were great, food was great, and our waitress was fantastic! Worked great for our late night eats.

Service was slow. Breakfast worth waiting for. Blueberry pancakes were good, chicken fried steak breakfast was delicious.

The place was totally crowded, although we were seated within minutes the food took for ever to vmbe served. By the time we got the food it was cold and not well presented. Price is reasonable but service was awful

With all due respect to the employees I venture to say that the slow service is not due to them but the fault of bad management. It seems they are understaffed in the early mornings. Its hard to realize that the two adjoining hotels have over 2K guests due to conventions and the restaurant is short handed..? Once I and all the other four tables got out food (approx 45 mins..) it was good.

Good location in the heart of downtown (next to Marriott) WITH Free Parking—very rare around here. Food is good and service is good. Typical Denny’s menu; reasonable prices.

Nothing stands out at this Dennys except it was close to our hotel. Went there at midnight. Service was slow. Food was good. Nothing to brag out.

At this Denny's staff were friendly and gave good service and lots of GREAT VEGGIE/VEGAN BURGERS and CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKES to cool us off!

Food and service are what you would expect...not great but not bad. Place is kind of dated. Staff were nice, but seemed way understaffed, so service was somewhat slow, but not a problem because we weren’t in a hurry.

Stay away! A few of us went to this location after a night of celebrating Fiesta. There were five of us in our group and were told by the hostess it would be about a 30min wait even though all the tables were not occupied. After about 45min we were finally seated. No one approached our table for another 20min. One of the guys in our group got up and asked the hostess if she could send over our waiter/waitress. The waitress came over with an attitude and said she would be with us in a minute. She came back and took our drink orders. After another 10 minutes she came back with our drinks and rushed through our food orders. We asked her for straws as she rushed off, we asked if she heard us and she turned back with an attitude and stated yes, she heard us. We were obviously frustrated at this point. We watched as she went to who we assume was the manager and spoke with him. A few minutes later he came to our table and asked if everything was ok. One person in our party explained the long wait and our groups frustrations with the poor service and attitude. The manager stated we had threatened the waitress and he could see that we were frustrated. He then said this is what he is going to do, he was going to cancel our food order and have security escort us out of the restaurant. We were shocked by his response and our party walked out quietly. After getting outside the security guy followed us and said that we need to leave the property immediately. We explained we were staying across the street and leaving. The behavior of these three people was totally uncalled for and inappropriate. We were completely shocked by their poor service and unprofessional treatment to customers. We wasted over an hour and a half of our time. We will never step foot inside a Denny’s restaurant again.

I think it took an hour to get our breakfast, so we will never go back here again. Several people walked out because it took so long. I would fire the manager!

Laura was an excellent waitress!!! Kind and funny. 😄 Great breakfast~ walking distance from hotel- very convenient.

This is a pretty standard Denny's. It was very busy when the conference recessed for lunch but the line was managed well and it did not take long to get a seat. The waiter was friendly and the food was as you would expect.

Good breakfast. Blueberry pancakes with bananas and strawberries Excellent service with a friendly personality

For the first time at Dennys I tried the online ordering. It was a great experience! I wanted take-out at 4am and the Dennys across from my hotel was open 24hours. I had excellent pancakes, great friendly staff even at 4am and everything was ready by the time I walked across the street and picked it up. Great prices, great service right in the middle of a group of 7 hotels!

Our first visit they didn't offer a kids menu but we found out there was one on the second visit. They brought everyone elses food out but I had to wait and wait for mine. The kids were already done by the time mine came and mine was a simple item.

I had a great waitress that served my food had a loaded breakfast sandwich with fries and a tea she served it. It was hot and the food was great thanks for served Mrs.Kimberly

Hello travelers this Denny's is the best Denny's we have ever eaten at. very friendly, very good service and the food was better than any we have eaten at, fresh and delightful. great customer service. easy to access from San Antonio Riverwalk Mall.

They are so busy! The staff tries to be efficient. Our burgers with avocado and bacon were tasty and just right. The prices are reasonable for being so close to Riverwalk and major hotels.

My son and I stayed at the Marriott across the street from Denny's in October. The first morning we were there we walked over for breakfast. My son ordered a T-bone and eggs. I tried to convince him not to but he was super hungry. I ordered a safe french toast. When our order came (service was great), the steak looked weird, not a lot of color and just in general not a good look. He ate the whole thing, said it was a little off but thought it was okay. At about seven that evening he began to vomit and it was non - stop until about eleven the next morning. The hotel supplied us with Pepto but he couldn't hold it down. This went on until the afternoon of the NEXT day. This was not the flu, no fever, chills, just plain old vomiting. I explained to him about shelf life of meat in a restaurant, especially expensive cuts in a Denny's or similar restaurant, they're never thrown away! He learned a valuable lesson!!!!! I guess I wondered where the kitchen manager was that he didn't check the meat in the color and tag that steak. Never again.........

I almost didn't come after reading the horrible reviews. But, decided to take a chance as opposed to eating iHop pancakes on a paper plate with a plastic fork. There was a crowd here on a Sunday morning, but I was seated right away; my server, Suzie, was very attentive, and got my order in right away. Breakfast was served promptly, food was hot and good - and I even got coffee refills without waiting. Maybe it's all about timing, but I had a very positive experience for breakfast.

Our table was dirty, staff was more worried about gossiping then taking care of customers. The food was maybe as good as McDonalds.

Was very good food. Super busy. Service was excellent. They had a security guard at the front door. I didnt know whether to be worried or safe.

It is the best place to eat when you visit the convention center and you have a 1 hour lunch break. We always have a light lunch and coffee. This year the food has improved dramatically. The vegetables and fruits were very fresh and the food was very tasty. Even the coffee improved!! The only problem is that the service is slow and sometimes you have to wait for 20-30 minuets to receive the food

Had a great experience time either the manager! Hr made the the evening fun! The manager made the night full of laughs and entertainment! Great customer survice ! Definitely coming back

Throughly enjoyed our meal and the service, and convenient to the motel. Had a friendly staff and fast service.

I went in on a Tuesday morning around 9:00 am, and they were not busy. Service was slow. My breakfast was delivered cold. The coffee was cold, and I could not even complain to the waitress, as she did not come back. I asked another waitress for coffee, and left the food. It was horrible.

Stopped in for a late dinner near our hotel, we knew Denny`s would be predictable, ordered from the 55+ selections. Our server Anthony is a real charmer, he was very busy looking after a nearly full section, but very quick and kept up a lively friendly patter. We even got soft drinks on the house to make up for the `"delay", which frankly I found there was little or no delay compared to other Denny`s we have visited. This dude deserves an accolade, maybe Employee Of the Year ?

The service was good, no problem with waitress, but the food was a failure. French toast hard, eggs cold, sausages like rubber. All around we never went back for rest of week and won't go back again. Your paying tourist prices too

Went for dinner. The meal took over half an hour to arrive.Ordered a Club house and so did the person I was with. When it came the sandwich was tasteless and the fries where cold and soggy. The wait staff not friendly or helpful. We were seated near cash register so we we saw a lot of people complaining. Should never go there. Save your money.

You know what you’re getting at the all American Denny’s diner - I went twice for breakfast. The lumberjack slam on my first morning after a long days travel. Second visit was for the all American slam that wasn’t as good because hash browns were cold / uncooked. On the whole an enjoyable meal.

Yesterday, efficient and well organized. Lots of demand . Some people decided to go elsewhere. Food very good. 4+ stars. Today, same time, absolutely inadequate staffing. Lots of clean empty tables but only two waitresses... probably a third of the restaurant. Even more tables in need of busing. Long line... probably resulted in 50+ prospective customers turning away. Slow to get anything seat, coffee, food or check. Food good, but cold when served. Good luck getting coffee refills, even after requests. An employee came in just before 9 and obviously could not be concerned about the backed up line in the least. Need a dedicated person to clean tables. An additional waitress would be a great investment and increase the breakfast sales by 50 percent or more. Management problem. We would not return if we see a line. Just a great, convenient location. We did not plan on spending well over an hour for a quick breakfast.

We came in here on a Sunday morning, so we did expect a wait, but it was much longer than we expected (more than 30 minutes). Other waiting patrons were waiting in seated areas outside so there was nowhere to sit in the shade so we waited in our car with the windows down so we could hear our name being called. The food was just average and the service was decent.

Very positive servers and friendly environment. Food was good and server was on top of it! Karmen was very friendly and had a great attitude.

So conveniently located by our hotel. We went to see my son graduate air force boot camp! On his first day pass he wanted to go to Dennys. The staff was so wonderful to him! The food was great and I will always remember how amazingly they treat our service men and veterans!!! Super well done Dennys!!

Depending on the time of the day, be prepared for a wait. Especially on weekends. Once seated service was fairly quick and food was good. Had kind of a hard time getting refill on coffee, but they were extremey busy.

We always stop here before Check in our Hotel . Great location and the Service is Excellent . The Chef /Cook here has always been Tops ..food comes Hot and tasty . If the wait staff doesn't pick up food when he's done ..he dings the bell till they get the message .I like that because who wants cold eggs .

I enjoy Denny's restaurants when I travel and lately I have not had some good experiences but the one in San Antonio gave life back to my Denny's experience. A Denny's that brings on good food and good service is a big relief. Restaurant was a little wore from business and age but still clean. With all the competition from the river walk and the fine dining close by, it was nice to have some good tasting food from a Denny's menu. Service was wonderful from the waiter to the checkout. Will visit here again.

We went for breakfast on Tuesday while at a conference. The place was very busy but we did not have to wait very long to get a table. The food came hot and just as we ordered. The waitress was friendly and fast with drink refills. The crepes were delicious. We would go back again

Ann was great !! Good work ethic , I watched her stay busy and smiling constantly!!! Very quick service Explained menus to us.

Had a great breakfast here with my husband! Food was good came out pretty fast and the waitress we had was really helpful only downfall the bathroom was kinda dirty.

While in san Antonio for work during and after Hurricane Harvey, I stopped by for a late breakfast. This restaurant was very busy, with several groups of evacuees from the storm. The servers, especially Melissa, who served me, were very efficient and friendly to all of the customers. Melissa was incredibly empathetic to the people who had been driven from their homes, and she had her customers smiling and talking like old friends. The fact that she took the time to make sure these people felt at home, especially with a full restaurant, makes Melissa and great asset to your company. P.S. The food was good, too.

I rolled in around midnight since I was jetlagged. What a freak show, people cussing, fighting, etc. The server never came around, people are mad all over, people next to me never got the right order... Definitely pass by this Denny's!

Great service, convenience located, right across from river walk. Food was very good, service was excellent.

Went to eat just left with excellent customer service by Anthony great guy refilled drink continuously and made sure our food was out fast and hit

if you want a simpler place that offers more this is the place witin walking distance from the riverwalk

The service at this particular Denny's was slow. There wasn't enough staff to handle the amount of patrons.

This place was packed with people coming from convention and looking for a late night (10:30p ) spot. We decided to get a to go order and go ack to hotel since, it would have taken a bit to be seated. We got our order quickly even though place was so booked. Food was great, no short cuts, all real not powdered, boxed or reheated food. Love it

Server Amanda very friendly and attentive from the moment of arrival till leaving, fast and efficient. Food was good eggs cooked to perfection Didn't have to ask for refill on coffee. Place was clean well kept

We had lunch here our first day in San Antonio. The food was fine and the service friendly and efficient. Our second visit the next day was a disaster. After one hour after ordering we asked for the manager who said he was sorry that our order was not given to the relief chef by the chef who was leaving for the day. The order was LOST! At this point we walked out. Need to get their act together

Staff were all very pleasant but clearly unable to cope with basic requests. Long wait for food that was sent back 3 times because it was cold or wrong. Only it was late at night we would have gone somewhere else We have been to other Denny’s and always had a great experience. Judging by other reviews there is clearly a problem with this one Avoid

I haven’t visited a Denny’s in years but seeing it was such a close walk from our hotel I started to crave it. When we got there it was packed but the staff was friendly, quick, and efficiently moving people in and out which we all can appreciate. The menu changed a little bit not much in the years I’ve been away. A total plus! Had a self build omelette and a side pancake both were equally hot and good without a terribly long wait with the crowd inside eating and outside waiting. Would definitely recommend this location as a perfect Denny’s destination for breakfast.

Manager was easily flustered and could not get money right and refused AAA discounts. Servers were amazing, Robert was my favorite offering sites to see and places to shop!

Good service and food is good for breakfast was across street from hotel so that worked out great since my husband and was at meeting all day

I went to have breakfast with my husband . Ms . Alice with very nice actitud and care for customers . The food was good . I was on line to pay and a man call me to other cashier to make the process faster ! Good actitud of care !

Denny's is always good for decent food at a reasonable price. Service was good. Although furnishings were a little worn inside it was clean.

It isn't possible to mark less than one dot on rating scale. We had been at the convention center a block away and staying at 14 story LaQuinta next to Denny's. We were sure we could get seated with the large in flux of people on the street. (8,000 people in town for BPO Elks National Convention) To our surprise we were seated within 10 minutes when the girl got back to the reception desk. Our waitress, Natasha was very friendly. She introduced herself and people in the booth beside us. This was the first omen that we were going to be here awhile. After a half hour, 3 of the 4 people next to us go their food, finished their meals. Still no 4th meal and still no check...We saw a friend come in so we asked him to join our table, as no others were available or being seated as they were not bussed. Friend never got menu, Natasha took a verbal order as JJ knew what he wanted. after 2-1/2 to 3 hours we finally were all served and went up front to find Natasha and pay. She got us a ticket, we added cash plus generous tip, since we watched serve 1/3 tables in this Denny's with no help, kept an even disposition and was as friendly as humanly possible. There was a person who had a name badge that said manager staring at the computer screen, hitting buttons with no satisfactory result, and the quick reference guide was on the counter. It is safe to say she didn't know how to close out a ticket and collect money. That is why I just gave my money and ticket back to our waitress and she could do it later. The current ownership and management have a efficient style for trying to kill the Denny's name, by not being there, staffing at proper levels and anticipating a convention crowd. They are across the street from the convention center, and I am sure San Antonio has one every week.

Our waitress was an oriental woman and was the best we have ever had. She took all the orders around us without writing down anything, she told me the highest she has ever done is remember 18 orders. I believe it, I saw her take 10 orders and didnt write down anything. Great job! The food was good too and worth the amount.

After seeing some of the sights, we were ready for lunch. Denny's is usually a good choice, when you'd rather have food that require utensils. Also, the prices are generally reasonable. We were seated right away after we entered. The server was friendly and efficient. Also, the portions were good sized.

This Denny's was pretty much like every Denny's that I've been in. However, they were slammed on the Saturday morning we were there. The waitress we had was doing her best, but the restaurant seemed understaffed. Service was slow, our waitress was apologetic, but it made us late to the next event we were attending. The food was the same quality that you'd get at any Denny's although my wife said her eggs were cold.

A family outing downtown in San Antonio taking in the great site's of the city and then lunch at Denny's where we met our friendly waitress that served us our great lunch.

With Denny's, you know what you're going to get. What made it great was our server Natasha. Great comedy and the right amount of fun with our table. She's a keeper. Just wished she worked in every other place around here which are lacking servers with the attention she gives her tables.

Slow service, seat wait was better than 25 minutes, people seated after me was given drinks before I was even approached.

After the MalaLuna festival we decided to go to Denny's for a meal to end the night with. We ordered nachos and our server Jimmy attempted to rush us through the ordering process. It almost seemed as though we were a burden to the restaurant. I understand high traffic. I'm a chef myself. The key to the service industry is to make someone feel welcome, I didn't feel welcome here. The food was ok, service was sub par. I won't personally visit this restaurant again, but someone else may have a different experience.

Parking is TERRIBLE. The lot attendant is trying his best to help people to park but he seemed frustrated. They rent out their lot to non-Denny's visitors so those who want to eat at Denny's good luck parking! The server was kind but that was about all I could say about this particular Denny's. We went there because our hotel gave us a 10% off card. The food was OK.

Had the bourbon chicken sizzle plate and it could have used a little more sauce. Wife had the salmon and she said it was a little dry and not quite as good as Cheddars but reasonable price and hit the spot.

We walked in and it was soo cold! We told our waitress who just agreed with us. It was NOT busy, there were 2 or 3 wait staff. No one seemed to know who was in charge of our table because 2 different staff members tried to take our drink order. The food took a while to come out, especially since we were the only ones there to start with. A few more people came in while we were waiting. Food was ok. Nothing special. I had a Club Sandwich. Told the manager as we paid that it was too cold in there and she didn't acknowledge it. She was wearing a sweater! Turn the A/C up a bit!

Needed a quick bite and a place to work on my computer when I arrived in San Antonio. Denny’s was right off the interstate so I pulled in. Couldn’t even get in the door. Not that many people which was surprising as everywhere else was teaming with tourists but wouldn’t seat -despite it being dinner time - because they had only 2 servers. Few people seated in a beautiful empty restaurant. Few with food and a bunch of us waiting. I and new Larry everyone else left before being seated. Seems a waste.

Clean, food was fast and great after a long flight. I was glad it was open late to accommodate such late travel. Very friendly wait staff.

After 11 hours in transit, we wanted a place to eat where we knew what to expect, and Denny's provided that. However, we were not prepared for the fantastic service. They treated us like family. They made adjustments to the menu, served the food quickly and hot, and suggested places to see and things to do. I was truly impressed.

Very nice pepple at this location. Daniel, server, very professional. Manager on duty caring and concerned to teach a new staff member. Food was tasty and nice was value. Had fish meal and chicken salad another time. I would good here again for value diner food.

the waiter didn't wanted to help up because we had a lot of people. they toke a long time to serve us or to bring us drink and when they took our order it toke around a 1 1/2 for them to bring it

The food was cold, not appealing, and took a great amount of time to arrive. Silverware was dirty, but that's just how most silverware is. The waitress was excellent.

In town for business and went for lunch. This place is worried about wearing face masks when the restaurant is so filthy the health department would give them several violations. Many tables with dirty dishes and they were not busy, but employees were standing around taking and wanting to go home. Floor was filthy! Table they sat me at was not clean. Silverware (when I finally received it) was dirty. Water glass was not cleaned properly. All this and I waited over 20 minutes to have a server arrived. Had to ask for napkins, silverware, salt/pepper and the sever never came back to the table. Lazy employees, filthy restaurant, poor service, poor food. Believe this, if they were to have a health department inspection, the results would not be favorable. This place is terrible! Stay away!

We arrived around 6:30pm to a mostly empty restaurant. After waiting about 10 mins to be seated - no one was at the counter, we finally got seated. This should have been our first indication that we should leave. After about 20 mins a waitress came by to take our order. My daughter asked for a milk shake while we ordered coffee and water. Our drinks - minus the shake arrived about 10-15 minutes later. After asking for my daughter’s shake, we were told she was busy and she would get to it in a few minutes. After about 30 minutes we still had not received our food but the waitress proceeded to give us our bill!! We again asked for the shake and received the same response. Our food finally arrived and still no shake. We asked for it at least 5 different times! The service is downright horrible and will not go back there again!! Don’t advise anyone else go either!

No host a sever did great us and tell us to sit where we like a severe did come after a few to take or drink order and order. Told my server i wanted my eggs scrambled hard eggs did not come scrambled hard I do not like running eggs. I wanted my hash browns well cooked she even said she will tell the cook well cook hash browns not well cook she took them back to be cooked well cooked brought them back and was not well cooked like I wanted. Never fails with dennys

Terrible sat there for 40 minutes on a simple burger. Servers and managers are just wondering around clueless

Had to get some breakfast, only restaurant that was open while I was awake was the Dennys, so that was my only choice. Had a breakfast skillet, was alright, no complaints. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

Nothing to write home about. We ate here because of convenience of location to our hotel. Service was just okay.

I ate here alone while my husband was at a conference. I ordered a basic breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, sausage links, 2 pancakes, and a biscuit. I waited over 30 min while people who came in after me got their food and ate before I did. Then when I finally got my food, the pancakes were so over-cooked I had to literally saw through them. Also, the waitress brought the biscuit about 5 min after the rest of the food claiming they were making it "fresh." I am from Tennessee, we know biscuits, and I can tell you now that they brought me a frozen grocery store biscuit that they nuked in the microwave. It was soggy, lumpy, and inedible. Do not waste your time eating here like I did. McDonald's puts out better food for cheaper.

We did take out and the food was good and prepared quickly. The staff were very attentive; there was table seating, but since it was just across the street from La Quinta Riverwalk, we took it back to our room.

It was my beautiful friend’s birthday and our server named AllState serenaded her an unforgettable performance!! Thank you AllState and Denny’s for great food and a great time! 🌹 👏

Saturday breakfast at 10am. LOOONNGG lines for eat in, Pick Up and payment. Foyer was packed, with confusion as to where to line up. Fortunately the 21 parties ahead of us diminished as many didn't wait. We finally got seated after 20 mins, but service was very slow. Odd thing was many tables were unused! Obviously management weren't able to manage. Male server was very courteous but busy trying to keep up with his tables. Writing this as we wait; 15 mins and still no food.

Typical Denny's restaurant. Good food and service in a busy location. We had a good experience but the location stays busy so make sure you have allocated enough time.

Great Denny's selections, quick service and friendly staff. Everything you expect from them. Food was hot, served quickly and had no issues. Definitely a good stop for decent food in this busy part of town. They had lots of easy parking too, which isn't easy to find.

This restaurant is near the Alamodome and Riverwalk and stays busy during events. We eat there every trip to San Antonio. The meals are always good and affordable.

We walked from our hotel to have Dinner. We were seated but not given menus. Then a waitress came and said “ we can not wait on you for at least one hour, we are very busy and have no help so do you want to stay or leave”. WHAT——we left but who does that at a restaurant. So rude and why were we even seated. Apparently they had a group come in from a convention and obviously could not handle it. All the tables around us had dirty dishes piled up and no one was cleaning up anything. Just disgusting..

This is a cross between a diner, sit-down restaurant, and fast-food eatery. The prices are reasonable and there is a good selection, and the dishes we had in our party were tasty. Not a high-class restaurant, but good and reasonably inexpensive food make it a good choice for a casual lunch or dinner.

We ate at this Denny's three times during our stay at the Grand Hyatt. The prices were reasonable, the food was always good and the service was friendly and prompt.

Came to San Antonio on business. Walked a couple blocks to this Dennys with my group of 4 and was told it would be 30 min before we could get any food. Got sat down and 20 min later, still waiting for someone to take our order. Someone up front kept saying we only have 1 server. Owner should be here to help imo. After 30 min waiting we left.

We had a awesome Tuesday morning breakfast here . We had the grand slam slugger which had two eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, coffee, and orange juice all for only $8.99 . Super good , super value for two hungry travelers . Good quick service . We were very pleased with all aspects . Highly recommend .

We went here for dinner and no one was upfront to seat us. We waited approx. 10 minutes for someone to come seat us. Then we waited another 10 before someone took our order. When our food finally came it was poorly prepared. I believe they were short handed and the waiter/waitress were cooking as well as serving. This was far below the standards I expected from Denny's.

Very conveniently located near the Convention Center and the hotels surrounding it. You know what to expect when you visit a franchise. The food was good as was the service. We were there for a late evening meal.

Our food was great, and we had a good waiter. We had to wait a bit for our food, and the cashier was not friendly, which are the reasons I didn't rank higher. Of course, it was very busy, but the waiter and manager were very pleasant, so being busy is not excuse for being unfriendly to customers.

A friend of mine told me about this place. She told me: "Go and order PANCAKES... They are the best PANCAKES in the US". During my free day i've decided to spend some time in SA and visit this restaurant. The waitress, Priscilla, was very kind and smiling, she took my order and after a long wait (sadly, but it was not her mistake, there were a lot of customers inside the building) she brought my order... IT WAS SIMPLY D E L I C I O U S. My wife owns a Bakery Shop in Italy but this is one of my favourite brekfast EVER! The Pancakes were GREAT and the Salted breakfast were AMAZING. The price is cheap. The cashier talked to me in Mexican... I'm Italian so i can understand some words, but i don't think is a good thing to talk in Mexican when you work in the US, other people can't really understand what are you saying!

Within 5 minutes of arriving we were seated with a menu,,, after ordering at our leisure our piping hot food arrived,,, it was delicious! Our server, Sami, was helpful, informative, friendly and was there if we needed her without standing next to us. Thank you xxx

Wrong eggs, wrong coffee, they delivered me an order that wasn't mine, then had to put in a new order of which everything was cold. Including the decaf. My I'm not sure how you get everything wrong, it wasn't busy.....

I had breakfast at this place on numerous occasions during my trip to San Antonio. It's one of the few places in town which is open 24 hours and almost all the items on the menu are available 24/7. The portions are huge. I mostly stayed with the ultimate omelette. It was good.

The 15 to 20 minute wait was a 30 minute, very disorganized. No one taking names or money consistently. When we finally made it to our table we made sure we were ready to order when the waitress arrived. People sat ahead of us still has no drinks. Food finally came and we never saw our waitress again till we got up to leave. Food was hot when it arrived 35 minutes later.

I ate at this Denny’s in November 2020. The location is good. The service was poor but overall the food was okay. The pancakes were really flat and not fluffy but tough. The eggs and bacon were excellent. They offered a military discount. If I had a choice I’d eat somewhere else. They no longer have the $2, $4, or $6 menu.

OK, it is a Denny's and I do not expect white table cloth, but the food was good and the service was OK. However, had to use the restroom and I always check to see if there is toilet paper. No toilet paper, went to desk and informed the hostess who's response was, I just got here. Paid the bill and walked back to the hotel. They never did send someone to put toilet paper into the restroom.

We were in San Antonio and enjoyed the whole area. We ended up choosing Denny's several times - including Christmas Eve morning. We were so pleasantly surprised with not just good prices; but so many options from which to choose. Our waitress was excellent, the manager was so very helpful and kind!! We really couldn't have been happier with this Denny's. Oh yeah - & one evening we decided to have our "TREAT" there - what a good choice!!

After leaving the Alamo City Comicon we went to eat here. Very crowded and discorganized but Id say because of all the people leaving the event. Food was good as always at a Denny's but the place was a mess. Dished on tables etc...Still gonna give it 4 stars for their effort and food.

Jasmine was great, fast, attentive, and very nice. Everything was hot when it came out and the coffee was hot and remained that way. Not a normal experience with the coffee at Denny’s

Food is a solid 9. I'm very critical in my reviews. I give the service a 10 this visit. Tyler, our server, was hustling. He had two other large groups including us. He kept visiting the tables just at the right pace, and the beverages never got to empty - this is a sign of a great server. Not sure if he wants to move up in the business, but others with him would benefit from copying some of his traits. BTW, he would respond to requests by saying something like it's my pleasure. WTG!

arrived late in San Antonio and checked in to the Marriott Rivercenter. Just across the street was Denny's - perfect for a late dinner because of delayed flights. breakfast is great anytime of day. service was great and very friendly staff. Enjoyed!

Food took over 30 minutes and a cheese omelette arrived with cold, unmelted cheese in the middle and our bacon order was wrong. Even our drinks took 15 minutes. All this while there were only a few tables. Worst experience at Denny's. In fairness, when I finally got my burger, it was good, even if the fries were cold.

Denny's is consistent nationwide with quality of food and service. Late night food source. Staff friendly

It's your typical Denny's. We like the comfort food, and have always had good service. It can get crowded during peak times, so we don't go then.

Alondra was superb as always. Attentive, great at her job. Always has a smile and a friendly word. Always have breakfast here when I visit San Antonio. Alondra is the reason, she’s amazing the food is always very good too.

No matter where you are in the USA you can count on Denny's. The menu has many selections, the wait staff is friendly and competent and the food is just delicious. Not fancy but nicely presented and delicious.

It was the same as any other Denny's I've been in. Slow service, okay food. One of our orders was wrong, but it was fixed.

Three of us arrived at Denny’s around 9:30 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated quickly & a friendly waitress brought us water & took our drink orders within a few minutes. Then we waited for our food to arrive. And we waited And we waited. About an hour after ordering, PART of our order came out. The food that came out was fine-typical Denny’s fare-nothing great, but just what you’d expect. We ate that, & then we waited for the rest. And we waited. You’re probably curious as to what complicated, time consuming dish we were waiting for. No, Denny’s isn’t suddenly cooking up risotto or osso buco. Nope, we were waiting on two pancakes & a piece of toast! They couldn’t put the toast in a minute before the eggs were finished? (Actually, I think they did, because the toast was cold once we got it). Unless you have a lot of time to spare, I’d find somewhere else to eat.

Very close to the hotel and since it's 24 hours, it comes in handy when other places are closed. Customer service was pretty good. Only thing was I didn't know you paid at the counter in the front so we were sitting there for a while.

Good hot meal. Very tasty. cooked perfectly. Prompt and polite service. Have been to this location many times over many decades. Always a pleasant experience

We advanced notice that we were coming next day to breakfast with a group of 22 kids and place the order because they have to be at Convention Center early. We arrived at 6.55 in the morning and they had everything ready to serve to our group. That was good because the kids were ready to go on time. The plates were large portion and the price was fair.

The staff here are really good at what they do. They were working during a very busy Memorial Weekend, Comic Con weekend, and first real summer weekend for the kiddos, and these guys were on their game. We were told the wait was 25-30 minutes but we only waited for 10 minutes both visits. They were pleasant, efficient and provided great service. The food was really good. We like Denny's breakfast and found this location to meet all expected standards where food is concerned. Great job Jackie (first day breakfast server) and Judy (second day breakfast server)!! You guys made the wait worth it!

Wife ordered fries got onion rings when we told the waitress she brought an empty plate and had my wife scrape the rings off her plate. what were they going to o with them, serve them to someone else? Finally got the fries, all 5 of them as we were finishing our meal. Food was good but can't get over the fact it may have been on someone else's plate. Tried going to Denny's is listen .com but they are not.

It was crowded on a Sunday morning, the staff were overwhelmed and they did what they could to better serve the customers. The food was good, the usual you would expect in every Danny's.

Decided to take advantage of a 20% coupon and visited this branch for breakfast. Really surprised how quiet it was at 8am, so got a seat no problem. The waitress was very efficient. Service was quick and very professional. Food was great value and, in fact, was so much, both my wife and myself could not finish.

I went here three times this week. The food was filling and tasty. Nothing to really write home about except the loaded potato soup. That was outstanding. The double cheese burger was too big for my mouth (and mines plenty big). The superbird was good and the club was, big. Once again, too big for my mouth. The fries were crunchy, as I asked for, and the bacon cheddar tots were interesting.

When we travel to the USA, we always go through one or more denny's because the prices are correct and the dishes we like. There is a way to eat balanced. This denny's met our expectations

Been here at 4 am with a huge jetlag. Good breakfast, nice staff Just a great diner. Good alternative for the breakfast in your hotel.

One of my favorite places to get a bite alone and read. The service is consistent most of the time, the food has always been the same; which is very good to me. Based on the location there can be one drawback, at times it's extremely busy. So if you're the type that has to have your food, service, etc. always on time, this may not be your spot. Keep that in mind. But for me when I need to be alone for a moment and am hungry this is my spot.

Went to San Antonio Tx, for a weekend getaway and for a concert. We stopped by at location for lunch before going to concert. We were greeted with a friendly waitress and spent no time to seat us. Waitress was very helpful and was knowledgeable of the menu and was quick to answer our questions on the food. Highly recommend the place for there staff and good fast service and great food.

We arrived before there was a waitress. When she arrived, she was absolutely overwhelmed!!! She tried her best, but was unable to do a good job. Our order was done incorrectly and we couldn't check out because the computer was not functioning. We left cash and stopped going to Denny's after that experience. We felt very sorry for the waitress being put in that situation.

This was my first time in San Antonio and was staying at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel for the SRA International Conference 10/16. Denny's is directly across the street from the main entrance. My husband and I thought we'd get breakfast a little cheaper than the hotel cost since I didn't make the early breakfast the conference served. Service was very slow and the waitress seemed like she had an attitude. I think her name was Monica. I ordered the Grand Slam Slugger with crispy bacon only. I got two pieces of crispy bacon and 1 piece that didn't look done. I was supposed to get four pieces of bacon; at least my husband did. So I asked about it and yes.. I was supposed to get 4. Took forever to get my 4th piece. The place doesn't is shabby and in need of updates. One good thing I have to say is that there was a 15 to 20min wait but the hostess made it possible for us to get seated earlier. I didn't get her name.

During a clash of two huge conventions, they managed to feed and handle huge numbers. The food was great as usual. The staff was excellent.

Went there after our concert, service was terrible and so was food. Would not recommend this place for late night eating.

Our server, Karma, was absolutely fabulous!! Always made sure we were happy and comfortable. Music was also on point!

We went here looking for some nourishment. Our expectations were low, and they were met. Our server didn't know the menu. Food came out haphazardly. One of our sides never came out, even after multiple reminders. Even told manager and still no fix.

We went here for lunch and were seated right away. The service was very good and the meals were hot and delicious. The servings were also a good portion and for a reasonable price.

Had to come to San Antonio and work 4:00 pm until 3:00 am. Didn't get dinner so I stopped here on the way back to the hotel. Service and food was good. Will probably stop here again.

The service was great, food was really good.! All thanks to Mrs.Imelda she is such a sweet and kind server. Will be back soon
Started off bad but ended up good
My family came to eat late in the evening after being around the river walk. They were very short handed. We along with many others waited 30 minutes to be seated. The manager had a bad attitude and was obviously frustrated. We had a really wonderful waitress who seated all of us and explained why they were so short handed. I wish I could remember her name. She had the best attitude and worked her butt off. The food was fast and was decent
