Incredible roast pork sandwich! The service was awesome and they served you up quickly in spite of the long line!

Great Roast Pork sammich. We had ours with both hot and sweet peppers. Delicious! The line was long, but moved quickly. Seating area not far away to sit and enjoy.

I had the roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone and it was really good. I bought an extra sandwhich to bring in my lunch to work tomorrow. The roll was very soft and the pork had great flavor. If you don't like broccoli rabe, my kids say it tastes bitter, you can get spinach greens instead. Either way, you must get this sandwhich with some type of greens. You also really need to eat this sandwhich while it's fresh and hot. Good luck finding a clean table in the market. I would come here just for the pork, rabe, and cheese sandwhich. Highly recommended.

Roast beef was done to perfection. Bread was an excellent old-fashioned chewy-type that is sooo difficult to find nowadays. Had mine with hot pepper and sharp provolone. Can confirm the peppers are indeed pretty hot, and the provolone quite sharp. :)

If you are roaming the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, you will quickly notice a few shops where the line tells you that the food is high quality and even the regulars are willing to wait for it. DiNic's had the longest line when I visited on a weekend in January. The pork sandwich was both simple and delicious. The line moves quickly, so even the wait is better than expected.

Good bang for your buck. The sandwich is very large. Do not look for the typical sandwich with a BBQ sauce. It is a "wet" sandwich - like an ajus' type sandwich.

Di Nic's has the best Roast Pork sandwiches. They also have greats roast beef and pulled pork sandwiches also. Have never had anything bad on the menu.

Pulled pork was good with peppers and oniions. Needed more flavor though. I found myself loading it up with salt and pepper which I rarely do at any place I eat.

The absolutely best brisket sandwich I have ever had;but be aware potato chips only no interesting sides

cheesesteaks get all the praise in town but the roast pork is probably a tiny bit better. order it with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe and some hot peppers. you wont be disappointed.

Best roast pork in Philly - tender, moist - I got mine as they generally serve it - portions are huge, so be aware and share or take half home!

Rally a unique and delicious sandwich. I have only been once and I had the pulled pork with broccoli on the servers suggestion. Wowwee it was incredible.

Dinic's by far has the best Brisket sub anyone has ever tasted. They put broccali rabe on top with special seasoning. There pork sandwich is also great! You can't go wrong stopping by here for a special sub. The bun is fresh, huge, and delicious. I would highly recommend!

My favorite sandwich in Philly! Located inside Reading Terminal market Dinic's is extremely popular and can be quite crowded during the lunch hour, but it is worth the wait! I highly recommend the roast pork with peppers.

Didn't mind, too much, waiting in line for the famous DiNic's roast pork sandwich and was not disappointed. A lot of meat and a roll that stood up to the moisture in the meat.

I was with big expectations but the roast pork sandwich was average. Yes, its big. Maybe it was the wrong hour, but it was good enough for me to give a bigger rating.

The Pork Sandwich was just great and the service was terrific. As a tourist and first time partaker the staff was very helpful. I would love to go again and know how many hours driving it will take me to come back.

Just read the title....the people that work there are awesome and the food is even better. The bread is per ft the pork is tender and the au jus is to die for. Not to mention the sharp provolone cheese I woukd eat that by itself

This place is packed during lunch but they handled ordering fast. Not a lot of counter seats. Ordered their roast pork sandwich with hot pepper. Pork was rather bland but pepper is very spicy which I liked.

Reading Terminal Market is a trip unto itself, but add a lunch at Dinic's and it is totally off the charts. I had the roast pork sandwich with roasted hot (Not very hot) peppers. I'm not a big fan of cheese on sandwiches so I didn't have it with the slices of provolone that most people seemed to order. I was by myself, so getting a seat at lunch time was easy, in spite of the fact that the line can be quite long for a seat at lunch time. Seating was at a counter facing the sandwich-,makers. You're sitting elbow to elbow, but somehow that seems about right. You make new friends :-) The sandwich came in a soft roll with loads of the tastiest thin-sliced pork that this boy has ever had. It was drenched in "jus" which made the roll its own taste experience. I feel sorry for anyone who reported getting a "dry sandwich". This was anything but! This sandwich is something to dream about...in fact I did. (Just understand that I am rating a sandwich and a setting which might not please everyone. This is not classic dining...it's sandwich in the rough.)

Whenever someone visits Philly, I point them to Dinic's. Frankly, their roast pork & broccoli rabe is better than any cheesesteak. I'm not even a big "pork" guy, but this sandwich is just that good. When you try it, you'll see why there's always a line. lol

Order the pork and broccoli rabe sandwich. You won't be disappointed! It is juicy and delectable. We also got a brisket sandwich and it was tasty, but nothing out of this world. The lines are long, so be patient. The employees are very quick and friendly.

Good pork sandwich, quick service, friendly staff. Agree with others, this is a good alternative to a cheesesteak, and a but more true Philly. Warning on the hot peppers, however: they aren't kidding!

Fresh yum sandwiches can sit and stay in the busy area in the back or take to go Service is friendly and efficient Worth a trip

The sandwich is huge (a foot long). 1 sandwich is enough for 2 adults. At a place like Reading Terminal, you would rather try different things than to eat a lot of one thing. Though it was good, it was nothing special.

Always stop here when in Philly for the roast pork, provolone, and broccoli rabe sandwich! Market gets crowded, line can be long depending on when you go, but worth it ever time!

Being a foodie from NYC this place didn't impress me much. It is obviously pretty popular and the line when I went was longer than most places in Reading Terminal Market but I definitely had better meals at the Chinese spot in RTM.

I tried here twice to give it a good go based on the reviews. I was left both times going 'nice, but it could have been more'. First I had the roast pork. I didn't realise it was sliced pork off a roll that had been sitting in water. I got a roll with sliced rolled pork that was wet. Very wet. It was ok but nothing special. I tried again. This time the brisket of beef. It was ok, nothing special, just ok. I was left wondering why I gave them another chance.

Located in Redding Market Terminal it is a very popular place to get the authentic philly cheese steak. The line may appear long but moves quite quickly. Don't get discouraged by the line! Stay the course and enjoy the sandwich. I wish more spots to sit to enjoy but you have to hover over tables to find space.

A routine visit anytime we are in the city. Serves the best pork and roast beef around. The rolls are fresh, the beef with peppers and cheese is always great.

Dinic's is a one of kind restaurant. The Pork and Beef Sandwiches are superb. The Pork & Beef melt in your mouth. The service is outstanding the staff is friendly and helpful.

Great pulled pork sandwich. Fast service and a really fun atmosphere. A Philadelphia classic worthy of a visit. Tons of other food service and dessert options as well. Great place...

I guess I had heard so much about how the sandwiched here were so amazing that I was let down. The food was fresh, hot and tasty, but it just was not as "good" as I was expecting.

After receiving the accolade of ‘best sandwich in America’ by Travel Channel it’s safe to say I had high hopes for this sandwich. Priced at $9.50 for a big sandwich it’s pretty reasonably priced for what you get. But it’s super underwhelming! The pork is well cooked and moist but has almost zero flavour, literally tastes like it’s just cooked in water. The bread is good, and soaked in the pork juices (sort of greasy water). I opted for the provolone cheese and greens which did nothing to add to the flavour. In my opinion the pork desperately needs gravy, or at least sauce. Literally the most bland thing I’ve eaten in the states or beyond. Looks great, should be great, tastes rubbish...

Went at lunch the whole market was packed. Di Nic's Line wrapped around and the counter was full, but we didn't stand in line long. These people know what they are doing and the food was great

Read all the reviews, saw the travel channel episode, and had to try the roast pork, broccoli rabe and provolone sandwich. Line was wrapped around the entire stand but it moved quickly. We were not lucky enough to grab two stools at the counter. So we bought the roast pork sandwich and a sausage sandwich with peppers and onions back to hotel on the corner and ate it in our room. The roast pork sandwich was definitely the best sandwich we have ever ate. That says ALOT as 1) we are from NYC and 2) we are foodies !! The sausage sandwich was good in that it was a good quality sausage but it's not the sandwich designated best sandwich. Super glad we knew about it before hand bc it may not have been something we would have picked out easily on our own walking thru crowded Reading Terminal Market.

So many locals recommended we go to Di Nic's for lunch at the Reading Terminal. We couldn't wait to get there, and were a bit disappointed... the pork sandwich that we stood in line for had little or no flavor... so many choices at the terminal I will try something else next time.

This is one of my favorite Reading Terminal Stands. When you see the length of the line you'll realize they don't need reviews or advertising. The roast pork with broccoli rob is amazing! Truly a treat. If you can't get a seat at the counter there are plenty of tables nearby!

Amazing Sandwiches with two Caveats: Long Lines and Limited Seating in front of the shop. I would definitely go if you're only in the area for a limited time. It gets super busy during predictable times, but it's worth the wait. Get the broccolirob, it's incredible.

Dinic's is the spot for that melt-in-your-mouth Roast Beef or Pork sandwich, hot and juicy with sharp cheese and a bit of broccoli rabe on top, OMG. Be prepared to stand in a very long line though...but its worth the wait.

It is very hard not to go to the Reading Terminal Market while in Philadelphia to experience the multiple restaurants, etc. My favorite is Di Nic's for their roast pork sharp provolone and broccoli rabe sandwich. Make sure to get your sandwich dipped in the au jus, as the messier the better.

The best sandwich in Philly. Cheesesteak sandwiches might be famous, but the roast pork sandwich is a must try. Highly recommend the roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. A great sandwich. Full of flavor. Juicy and can be a bit messy. The restaurant is in the Reading Terminal Market along with other great spots for food and groceries. Good value its a quick hot meal for any time of the day. Wish there were other stores in the suburbs. Enjoy a great sandwich in the center city Phildadelphia.

All I kept hearing was its the best sandwich ever and its pretty darn good. Not the best but very, very good and a must eat for a foodie! I did get the pork and its fresh and hot. Be prepared for the lines but they are fast and get you fed quick

The lunch counter at Dinic's is the perfect place to enjoy a roast pork or beef sandwich--classic Philly-style fare served in a friendly and efficient way. Good price for huge sandwiches in a fun market setting. The Reading Terminal Market itself is a wonderful place full of every conceivable food, bakery and produce establishment, all right across from the Pennsylvania Convention Center in central Philly. Worth a visit in itself and the best place by far to eat lunch in the vicinity of the convention center.

Everything was good about this place, the wait was only a few minutes, the pork delicious, I wish I could have had the cheese but allergic, broccoli rabe also delicious. I’m in town for a few days and safe to say I’ll be back.

Had the pork with cheese and broccoli rabe. Eh- I'll pass! Nothing to write home about. The cheese was eh pork was eh but I liked the broccoli rabe. It had a nice garlic pepper seasoning to it!

very good philly cheese steaks. saw others enjoying great sandwiches. Price within range of Reading restaurants. service good. may be a wait during rush times.

Great roast pork sandwiches with sharpe provolone , extra gravy and broccoli rabe , great crisp bread, just get some extra napkins

I was hoping for far more. I found the pork dry even though it was dipped. The beef was lacking in flavour. Bread was excellent and a good quality sharp provolone. The broccoli rob was good to but the Chicago dipped sandwiches are better. And no, I’m not from Chicago

You should try either the Roast pork or the Italian shredded pork. Either way, add provolone and greens (broccoli rabe) for the full effect.

at reading terminal- one guy is in charge of roasting, the next guy slices the meat, adds au jus, and puts it into a hoagie roll, the final guy adds whatever. get them to add the sauteed broccoli rabe. MMMMM!!

I love cheesesteaks, but on a recent trip to Philly I was told by several people to forget about them because the pork sandwiches here would blow them away. I had the pork sandwich with provolone, greens and peppers and was disappointed. On its own it is an average sandwich, but after the hype I was expecting so much more. My next trip I will be eating a cheesesteak instead.

I have always wanted to try this place since I saw them on the Travel Channel. I finally got to go and it did not disappoint. I got the Roast Pork with Provolone and Brocolli Rob. It was absolutely the best. One work of warning, get there early. They lines are ridiculous. We got there about 11:30 on a Monday and it was great. We were able to sit at the counter and eat. Around 12-12:30, the line was around the corner and there was nowhere to sit.

Order an Italian Sausage with a little gravy no other toppings and it excellent. I would recommend this to everyone

Never had a bad experience at Di Nic's. Their roast pork is outstanding especially with the Rabe, but their roast beef is equally as good. Reading Terminal Market's #1 lunch joint.

Delish Italian roast beef sandwiches with brocolli rabe. Big enuf to share so an even better bargain.

We all had Roast Pork sandwiches. I chose to have mine with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, and long hits. I couldn’t have been happier with the sandwich. There was a long line and it was near impossible to find a seat at the counter but if you want take out or are lucky enough to get a seat it is a Philly must eat.

Always have the fresh ham, broccoli rabe, provolone and hot pepper sandwich, delicious! My granddaughter had the meatball sandwich, she loved it. The sandwiches are huge and so good.

In Reading Market. Crowded, long lines, limited menu, great food! Hard to get a place to sit and eat. Still worth it! Loud, people bump into you. Parking space is expensive.

The line up for this place says it all. We visited the one inside the Reading Market and it was delicious. There is a signature sandwich that will blow you away. It is made of sliced roast pork, Provolone cheese and broccoli rabbe. It is heated to perfection and served on a plate or to go. The mix of flavors is beyond delicious. It is not what you are expecting but your palate will thank you for the treat. A whole sandwich is really too much for a small eater, make sure you share. Then you can always go back as it would be a pity to waste this food. ENJOY, it is so much better than the always spoken about Philly Cheese steak....

Stopped in here during a trip with our youth group to Philadelphia. This was my first time to Reading Terminal Market so I looked for places with the biggest lines. I asked the staff what they were famous for and had to try it. The answer: pulled pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rab. It was literally the best pulled pork I've ever had! They must put a little bit of horseradish on the bun; there was a really good sense of heat and tang. Sandwich aside, the pork was the very best! Well worth the lines and the cost. Don't pass this place up!

Here on business, had to visit DiNics in Reading Terminal Market after I'd seen it on Man v Food....got to say it was absolutely worth it. You get a choice of huge subs, many people mainly going for either the brisket or pork, both come with choices of toppings including sweet or hot peppers, broccoli rabe and provelone. I went twice, had the brisket first and then the pork, both of which were great (but I preferred the brisket). Ask about the toppings as not all will be listed and don't worry about the line, wherever you are you'll be served in minutes (they work so fast!!!)

Out of sight!!!! I'm talking about back in the 70's!!! The roast pork was deliss, condiments also. Especially the roasted peppers (super hot ). Was always a treat to eat here at this stand up venue or take with you.

First of all, I'm not much of a Roast beef/Pork sandwich kinda guy!! But if they made it like how Dinic's makes it. Just serve it up, and I'll devour it! You have to get the Roast beef or Pork WITH the Greens and Provolone!!! Trust me with the greens!!! Wasn't able to take a pic, because I was starving! Oh yeah! They wrap your sandwich likes its artwork, with multiple sheets of paper! 👍🏼

About a year after my first trip to Philly, Dinic's won "Best Sandwich in America". So I knew on my next trip, I had to try it out. We got there just before the lunch rush and found a spot at the counter. The Roast Pork sandwich with the broccoli rabe was incredible. The rabe had just the right amount of spice and bitterness to give the sandwich some flavor without losing the flavor of the pork.

A Market staple since the early 1980's, Dinic's Roast Pork has won the hearts of sandwich eaters - and a number of "Best Sandwich" contests - for years. Try a roast pork, oven roasted peppers and sharp provolone on a crusty roll - ask for it "wet". Go find a table and prepare yourself for pork heaven on a bun. Bring a bunch of napkins! Do Not Miss!

Very good roast pork sandwich. The rolls they use are an excellent compliment to the meat and meat juice. The sandwiches are a bit pricey but go ahead and treat yourself to one.

The line here is worth the wait. Beware of the hot peppers though, they are very hot and I like hot.

we had the traditional pork sandwich. staff is super helpful if you're not sure what to order. once you place an order it doesn't take long to receive your food.

Can't go wrong eating at Di Nic's Roast Pork in the Reading Terminal Market. A bit of a wait but we'll worth it just to enjoy the luscious taste of well seasoned pork! Service was excellent considering the crowds but the crowning moment was enjoying a bite of the Italian pulled pork with broccoli Rabe and provoline. Magnificent! I would recommend sharing so you can save room for the various dessert option so available at the market.

Stopped by Reading Terminal for a sandwich. Dinic's italian pork with sharp provolone was great. The roll was perfect for the sandwich and the spices were just right. It's almost as good as when my husband makes pulled pork.

We picked up lunch here one day as it was highly recommended by several locals. Ordered the roast pork with broccoli rabe. The bread was the best part of the sandwich, the meat was under seasoned and would have been better with some gravy.

I love this place. My wife and I frequent the Market on our trips to Philly and enjoy coming here for lunch. The sandwiches are always good, and they're always fresh! The line can get a little hectic as it's ALWAYS busy in the market, but it's totally worth the wait. Dinics is famous for their roast pork sandwich, but my personal favorite is the meatball sub with sharp provolone & roasted peppers. Yumm!

Saturday lunch visit with hubby & 3 kids. Long line around the corner, but my husband got thru it before we even found seats. The "wait staff" are excellent and most efficient at moving a crowd through! Excellent service ! The food was great, got the typical Italian Pork sandwich with rabe as recommended by many, was great! My 12 year old could have done without the greens. But all others enjoyed it. Seating on a rainy Saturday afternoon was tricky. Had to be a stalker over other people eating to get a seat. If you come in a smaller group you can grab a seat at the counter right at Dinics . I would recommend this place over all others at the market for lunch/dinner. Don't forget to get your parking garage ticket validated. We only paid $4 to park, cheap compared to other city jaunts.

Maybe because I'm from the south, but the Italian pork sandwich had very little flavor. I would not recommend. My boyfriend went to the gyro place and it was amazing! Go there instead.

This is a great lunch spot and though the lines are long, and scoring a seat on the lunch counter is tough. There is plenty of seats in the market to enjoy your lunch. The sandwich is best with the add-ons: broccoli rabe, hot peppers, onions, and jus.

Three of us shared two roast pork sandwiches with cheese and broccoli. Ate at the bar. Served quickly, efficiently, with a smile. Long queue but moves quickly. Only water or soda to drink (pity, a beer would help the taste). The broccoli are tasty and strong, the peppers that you can add from containers on the table quite spicy, but the bread is nothing special (just huge) and the meat not really very tasty. Cheap, huge and quick, but nothing for gourmets. It's just a really fun experience eating there and watching what's going on. And all the locals seem to like it, so it's a place to try.

Got the roast pork with spicy peppers and sharp provolone. A lotta lotta food but oh so yummy. One sandwich is enough to share.

OMG if you want the REAL DEAL in terms of carved hot pork and beef sandwich THIS is the place. Huge portion, ( hold the kale in my case, but most folks get it ) and GET EXTRA NAPKINS! This is a must do, in the heart of the Reading Market.

Get in line and wait, but pork sandwiches, roast beef, brisket. Delicious. Another terminal site where you have to get in long lines. But you’ll have a tasty, fresh sandwich (big) and fairly priced.

I have been eating here for over 20 years. Today is my last Italian pulled pork sandwich as I am moving to Florida tomorrow. I will surly miss this place. I still have family in the area so I will return, next time I’m in town.

With limited time in Philadelphia, DiNic’s roast pork sandwich was my takeaway dinner for the flight back to Europe. After hearing so much about fantastic roast pork sandwiches in Philly and having a very average experience with one of supposedly best (John’s), I hoped for better and ... got it. It was still not a revelation and by far not the best sandwich ever (that title stays in Hoi An, Vietnam), but definitely better than its counterpart that started my culinary exploration of Philadelphia. The meat was juicy, provolone ok for a provolone made in the USA, and spicy peppers elevated the flavor. I probably had the best dinner on the plane, business class included.

Roast pork with sharp provolone. Roast pork with sharp provolone. Roast pork with sharp provolone. If you are coming to Philadelphia, you must try the roast pork with sharp provolone. It will be served on a fresh roll. You can add greens, peppers etc., on it and that, too, can be good. You will pay $2.00 for a fountain soda. The place may be crowded, you may have to wait for a seat to open, but that is all just fine when you are eating roast pork and provolone on a great roll.

The pork sandwich was big enough for two people to share! The meat and bread were outstanding quality and flavor! The Counter people were friendly and efficient. It was a shame I was staying in a hotel or I would have asked for a doggy bag! Everything is made to order and fresh!

Don't let the line put you off. The line moves fast and the cheesesteak with provolone and broccoli rab was the best. We also had the brisket and that was really great also! Would go back EVERY time and have this no matter what else is going on in Reading Terminal!

This is the best lunch place in Readjng Terminal Market. The lines are long, but move fast & it's worth the wait. Both the pork & beef sandwiches are excellent. They rival Philly cheesesteaks!

You have to try the pork and broccoli rabe sandwiches. Forget about Geno's and Pat's. This is the real deal. No atmosphere but who cares?

The sandwiches at Dinic's are absolutely amazing. I've had the pork and the beef sandwiches, and both were perfect. The will top with sauteed spinach, sauteed broccoli rabe, hot or sweet peppers. The rolls come fresh from another part of the market. The servers are very nice, and the service is quick. I try to stop here each time I go to Philly.

In Reading Terminal Market and hungry for the sandwich I had heard about on Marc Maron's podcast and Food Network...the Italian roast pork sammie with broccoli rabe on a fresh roll. I was in Philly for yet another concert, and it was the best idea anyone could have brought up - hunt down dat poke sammich! The market itself is worth the stop, but this brought out the beast in my belly! In the good way!

The whole Reading Terminal Market should be on every tourist's to do list along with Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We went during the lunch rush but still managed to get a counter seat. One could feel quite intimidated by the whole scene but the waitress was friendly and ordering was easy. We had the roast pork sandwich. Beautiful. The quality of the meat is impressive. Really tastes like the pork you remember as a kid instead of the bland stuff you often get served now. My overall memory is an explosion of taste.

I found true love at Dinic's!!! This is by far the best sandwich I have eaten in Philadelphia. I got the beef brisket with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. My mouth is watering now just thinking about the sandwich. It is served on bread that is able to withstand the meat and all of its juices and is good to the last bite. The portion size is large and it is difficult to eat the whole sandwich in one sitting, but because it was so good, I ate the whole thing. Philly may want to consider giving up their Cheesesteaks for a Dinic's Beef Brisket as their new signature sandwich.

Remarkably tasty, lean pulled pork, roast pork or brisket sandwiches. If you want all the toppings, go ahead - but I stay with the meat & some sharp provolone, period. That's plenty of flavor right there. A friend declared their gravy was awful & ruined the sandwich. At busy times, expect a long, long line & hyper-jazzed service - they want you served and gone pronto. The takeout line snakes around the counter, but moves pretty quickly. Seating at the counter is fine, but in a very old-school diner kind of way .... if you're looking for a leisurely meal with attentive, patient service, look elsewhere. They're extremely efficient here and sometimes quite pleasant, but Dinic's isn't about gentle ambience.

Our bus driver raved about the sandwich and yes the review on the TV made me want it, but I didn't eat a quarter of it. Seriously underwhelmed. It was large and enough to share but no one in my group would eat it.

You need to have the pork sandwich. It is best with peppers and onions. Try the beef if you want, but I'll stay with the pork.

We saw this on Adam Richman's TV show getting the best overall sandwich in America. SO TRUE. The pork and broccoli rabe is indescribably delicious. Best diner in PHL.

We visited during a day trip to philly. The food was amazing. Prepared quickly hot and tasty. The staff were very friendly and polite. We explained we wanted to share a sandwich as we were going somewhere else and they presented them both in separate trays and didn't rush us at all.

Read the reviews and a local recommended them. Meat scoped out of a pan full of liquid, not gravy. Keeps the meat moist, but not very flavor full. Try another vendor in a location full of options

The food establishment is located inside the reading terminal market in the center of it all. This restaurant roast beef , pork and other meat at a slow roast delicately seasoned to perfection , juicy and falling off the bone. The sandwiches are served on a fresh Italian roll hot packed full of meat with or without mushroom, onions, or gravy. from the time this shop opens until it closes the customers continue rolling in. Get in before 3PM to ensure you can get your sandwich of choice before the restaurant sells out. You can quickly get this sandwich to eat in or take out for approximately $8.

MMM I had the meatball sandwich. It was delecious. Full of flavor, right amount of sauce. I would recommend this sandwich.

Had the roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. It might have been me but I feel like I got a hint of horseradish or something equally zesty in the sandwich. That was the only thing that threw me off. The sharp provolone was incredible. Service was quick. I look forward to trying the meatball sandwich next time.

Lots of rave reviews made a visit to sample a pork sandwich with provolone a must try experience. But actually, I have had much better pork sandwiches in many places for example the pork sandwich at Roli Roti the farmers market in San Francisco blows Dinics out off the water, very disappointed with the tasteless soggy pork in very average roll, a shame since I really wanted to like it but I didn't. Sorry guys.

Sure, you could actually like a tourist and get yelled at for trying to buy a meal at the Emperor6 of Cheesy or si9. But why? What you really want is this monstou6 pork sandwich, drilling in juices. Top with Brocol6 Rape a Provolone and you are in heaven

Simply the best roast pork sandwich anywhere. Flavorful, tender, lean and juicy. I order it plain. Just the roast pork (and plenty of it on a great Philly roll). In the heart of the Reading Terminal Market, one of Philly's top attractions. Limited counter seating but food court seating is nearby but crowded at lunch times. This sandwich is an example of the best the city offers. Famous for good reason.

This is classic. Portions are huge--strongly recommend sharing. Had the beef with broccoli rabe and cheese. Juicy and delicious. This is a 'don't miss'!

Excellent food. What more do you need? My favorite is the Italian Sausage. If out of that get anything else on the menu.

Hands down, the best roast pork in the city! Seasonings are fantastic. Long lines are handled with great efficiency & it is worth the wait.

Was here for lunch and the first time visiting. All of the foods looked and smelled amazing inside the terminal and it was hard to decide. I keep coming back to this place and decided this would be my first Reading Terminal Market food experience. I am so glad it was. The pork was amazing. It was soft, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. The bread it was on was amazing as well. There was a little bit of a line but impressed by how fast it went. The next time I am in town I plan to go back to the Reading Terminal Market. I want to try another food stand, but this one is going to be a tough one to beat!

I had been craving this sandwich since I saw it on Man vs Food and it did not let me down. It far succeeded any other pork and broccoli rabe sandwich I have ever had. The sharp provolone is perfect. I got the Italian style pulled pork, next time I plan to get the roasted pork. My mouth is already watering.

Great place with excellent service. Get here early to avoid long lines. The roast pork with broccoli rabe is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong here.

Sandwich was excellent - service was fast and efficient. Easily one of the most popular places in Reading Terminal Market.

Fantastic pork sandwiches - very large size. It is definitely worth the wait if there is a line - they move you through quickly.

We love the roast pork sndwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. It is simply the best. We also recently tried the meatballs and they were excellent too!

Last time we were in Philly, my husband made a bee line for Di Nic's to get their famous roast pork with rabe and provolone sandwich but was thwarted because of the extremely long line there and he was too hungry to wait. This time, we headed there and there wasn't a soul in line not because it's no longer good but because we visited the Market about an hour before closing and that was perfect timing. Armed with his sandwich, my husband headed back to the hotel room and promptly devoured his meal pausing only to give me a bite. It was delicious. Only recommendation is that you don't leave the sandwich to sit too long before you eat it as the bread can get soggy. Great sandwich!

real great roast pork and hand cut beef the old way it was made in the old country and boy it is thest you will find in any place this side of the pond

Great place for a sandwich. Slow roasted meats are flavorful atop sub rolls, with peppers and onions.

We got a couple meatball sandwiches with provolone. Took about 4 minutes to get the sandwiches and checked out. I was surprised on how fast they were. They were very tasty, I would get one again.

Yes, the line is incredibly long. Yes, it's hard to find a seat. No, you can't really sit with a large group. YES THIS IS AN AMAZING PORK SANDWICH AND TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT. We got a few - one with the broccoli rabe and one without. Both were fantastic. it just melts in your mouth. Wear a napkin because this pork baby will drip all over you sending a message to everyone around you that they need to go to Di Nic's. My husband saw this place on a Travel Channel show and wanted to drive down 1:45 minutes to just get this sandwich and it was completely worth it. You'll leave a very happy, filled, smiling camper with stains all over your shirt to prove it.

Yes. This place is easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The number of people always in line at DiNic's tells it all. If you are lucky enough to score a seat at the counter I'd recommend it as you have wait service and can fully appreciate the cooking, carving, and serving that goes into the place. Come hungry and get a half and half sandwich. Half roast beef and provolone (real sharp provolone, not the grocery store stuff...) and half pork with greens. Get extra juice...and extra napkins. Hands down the best place to eat in Reading Terminal.

Very busy but extremely well managed Pork & Beef joint in Reading Terminal Market. Nicely seasoned 'Italian' Pork Sandwiches with great provolone and peppers, spinach and Kale (No Broccoli Rabe available) Huge sandwich, very quick service and food delivery for such a crazy busy place. A must lunch stop for real Philadelphia food.

Very good sandwiches, Reuben, corn beef, pastrami different types of bread rye, wheat pumpernickel and Russian dressing

I knew I needed to try this place ever since seeing in on the Travel Channel. It did not disappoint. My wife and I ordered the Roast Pork with Sharp Provolone and Broccoli Rabe and I was astounded at the awesomeness. I must warn you that this sandwich isn't like an explosion of flavor or anything. But to a palate that knows what it's looking for they will find it. The subtleties of the sandwich speak to it's magnificence. Tender juicy, pork with a sharp provolone(which is nothing like Sargettos Prov) and broc rabe, which had great flavor and perfect seasoning made for excellence. They do have a long line sometimes but if you stand around someone will get up front the barstools they have and then you get services pretty fast. I walked back to the place just to take in the brilliance...and then I saw their brisket. I must have that next time....and there will be a next time even if I do live 3 hours away.

Adam Richmond (food channel) said this place made the best sandwich he ever had. No way. The Italian pork sandwich was dry, and all they put on it was the broccoli rabe, which was salty and bitter. This sandwich sucked big time. Pretty much like the rest of Philly.

This place is in the middle of Reading Terminal Market in downtown Philly. There is no seating to speak of so expect to eat standing up. Simply the best sandwich anywhere! Pats and Ginos is the best for cheese steaks. De Nic's you want to get either the beef or pork with Broccli rabe and sharp provolone. That is the ticket!

We were there prior to seeing The Car Show across the street. The sandwiches are worth the wait. Get them with the greens and peppers.

Pork and provolone or provolone and peppers (sorry pork lovers) you can't beat classic sandwiches on delicious fresh Italian rolls! Garlic lovers unite.

Stopped in the heart of the Reading Terminal Market. The best roast beef Philly I have ever had. Bread was fresh, the sharp provolone was delicious and the long peppers helped make this perfect. Fast, quick and fresh.

I ate here yesterday. That is, if this is the place in Reading Market. Even if it is not, I'd bet the food is the same. Get the pork with provolone and broccoli rabe. OUTSTANDING. The rabe gives a slight taste of horseradish but has texture to it. One of the best sandwiches I have had.

Love this place. It can be a small hassle getting into the market but the Italian pork sandwiches are awesome. Tried to branch out to brisket, it was good but not like the pork.

A must visit, all the hype is true! Awesome pork sandwich. Added sweet peppers and provolone. A+. It doesn’t matter how long the line is, it is worth the wait.

I came into Philly to stay with my husband while he is working on a parking garage at a casino. I stopped here around noon on Monday for take out to bring to hotel for dinner and I am absolutely blown away by the food! There was a line but I was in and out with purchase in under 10 minutes. Got pulled pork with spinach and I can't say enough about it, so delicious and it hit the spot. My husband loves it so much he and his crew are going there for lunch for now on while in Philadelphia! You won't be disappointed.

Disappointed, as I was was told this was a “must” for Philly. I could barely get past the smell of it to choke down the one bite I had. Stick with a cheesesteak and save your $$.

Well I finally made it to Reading Terminal Market to try the famous Dinic's roast pork sandwich, that won the Man vs. Food best sandwich in America contest. Maybe the long wait had built up in my mind that this was going to be an incredible, mind blowingly good sandwich. Don't read me wrong here, the sandwich was good, it was different, but I was not "wowed" by it. The cheesesteak has nothing to worry about. If I ever get to Philly again, I doubt I get another roast pork, but, at least I tried it. I'd rather have a good old fashioned Rueben, or a big juicy cheeseburger.

I was so shocked when I bit into this sandwich thinking it was going to be so tasty but was not, the pork had a horrible scent and taste. I do not recommend for picky eaters.

Yummy is in my tummy! I love it. It's just a taste of the area and local fare. I enjoy the people food and fun!

I don't think it is the best sandwich, but my pork was very good indeed. What surprised me most was how much of a meal it was. Believe me, I could not have eaten more with being a glutton.

No seating, its to walk up. They are overly busy and it shows. They can't take orders clearly, we got back to hotel with our food and it was wrong. The pulled pork was really tasty and the bread and veggies on the sandwich were good but the brisket was very "blah." The portions are good for the price. The wait is long as I said, and chaotic, and very limited seating.

Roast Pork with Broccoli Rab. This was rated #1 sandwich in America. It was pretty good and very tender meat. I enjoyed it although my kids didn't like the Broccoli Rab. Next time I'll stick with a steak and cheese for them. It is Philly after all.

After watching an episode of Man Vs Food where they highlighted a roast pork sandwich, I decided to stop by Dinic's while strolling through the Reading Terminal Market. The roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and homemade horseradish was amazing! I would highly recommend it if you are in the Philly area!

Had a friend unexpectedly visit last week and he wanted to have a genuine Philadelphia eating experience. I took him over to Reading Terminal and Dinic's. There's always a line at lunchtime, but it moves quickly and there's always something to see in Reading Terminal while you wait. Roast Pork on a fresh roll with all the toppings. Grab plenty of napkins and find a seat at nearby table. Heavenly.

Too much horseradish flavor in their roast pork when you order it with the broccoli rabe. Also, if you order it wet, it will make the bread too soggy.

Their cheesesteak is chopped, super moist and loaded with wiz (if you want provolone that is available too) and their roast pork is out of this world. Get it loaded and resist the temptation to buy 2. Cause no matter how delicious the first one is, they are so hefty you wont have any room to eat your second (believe me i have tried).

By far, the greatest sandwich in all Philly!! The Roast Pork with broccoli rabe & shaved provolone is worth the hype. There may be a wait, if you are lucky you can get a seat, but worth it. The Terminal market is always crowded, so be prepared , its part of the experience. The staff working here are the best, no wait very nice and answer all questions . If you go to Philly, go to Da Nics, you won't be disappointed .

I was told that this place is a 'must stop at' if you are in Philly. The place was packed but I was lucky enough to score a seat at the counter. The roasted pork with broccoli rabe and provolone was ok--nothing to write home about and honestly I can do pork at home in the crockpot that is better. BUT...it was worth the price of the sandwich just to watch the staff in action. The place was very, very, very busy and chaotic, but the staff works like a well-oiled machine and keeps the line moving. Seriously, it's amazing to watch. The owners or managers who have trained these folks should offer training programs to other restaurants and retail establishments. So, overall, average food, but a neat experience to put on your bucket list.

In my 49 years, this is the best pork sandwich ever! I have travel to many places across the USA and Dinic's beats out all of the others!

Me and my friends travel from Ct to philly about 4 times a year only for these sammies! Rent a van get a room and have a pork and a roast beef sammie in the reading market as soon as the open up on Sunday! Best sandwich I have ever had!!!

Don't even think about eating anywhere else for lunch. Its hard to get tired of pork, especially the way it is prepared here. Best to have someone to share with or you can forget about dinner. If they had beer to accompany the meals it would be a spot of heaven

When you're in Philly at lunch time and you go to a cheesesteak place for a cheesesteak and they're out of cheesesteaks, it's a head-scratcher. However, there are other things in life these days, so, we move on. The Ham and Cheese was a pretty good deal at just over eight bucks. It said "sandwich' on the menu but it's actually a ham and cheese hoagie, full sized, with plenty of everything. Two hoagies, two sodas, 26 bucks. Ouch. But: you get to sit outside in the sun on a nice day, and if you get there after the normal rush, you park right there, within ten feet of your table. They have dog treats on the counter, so I guess your dog is welcome. We didn't see any dogs. The food is ok. The folks are ok, the whole thing is ok. It;s just not "fine dining," so go there with your attitude on correctly, and you'll do just fine.

We ordered a pulled pork with hot peppers and a roast pork with broccoli (the one most people rave about). 3 of us shared them, we were all unimpressed with the roast pork & broccoli - it needed some kind of sauce to compliment it, the horseradish wasn't enough. The pulled pork was very juicy and good, the peppers gave it that added flavor it needed. The place was packed, but since they pre-cook all the pork, they serve you very fast. If you are getting a cheese steak somewhere else, get the cheese steak first since those lines move very slow since they have to cook it right in front of you. Takes 5 times longer than Di Nics to serve you. We went there on Saturday and they sold out of everything by 5:30, they close at 6 PM. So we had to go back the next day on a Sunday to try it.

This place was so good that I went back with my wife. FOrst time had the ITalian PUlled pork with hot peppers and the second the Meat Balls with the hot peppers and the horseradish. Both were great and I still smell from the garlic. Some of the Best sandwiches that I have ever had anywhere. They are a bargain at 8-9 dollars each and the broccoli rabe is amazing as well. Some of the biggest lines are here for those in the know to get ther daily fix of true italian fare.

Enormous, homemade pork and brisket among just 2 of the menu items, it was great! A real foodie experience. Loved it!

Di Nic's is the best place for a beef sandwich in the Reading Terminal! We always order ours with provolone and spinach... Real cheese makes this sandwich even tastier than a typical Philly Cheese Steak. Service is super fast and always friendly and one sandwich is enough for two! We tried the pork sandwiches. They are great too but for us, the one we always dream about when we are far away is the beef sandwich! You cannot go wrong. Enjoy!!

Terrific roast pork and greens sandwich for 9.00. At least 1/2pound of thin sliced roast pork with your choice of toppings. I always choose broccoli rabe but you could also ask for sautéed spinach or cheese. Hot peppers and condiments are provided on the counter. Eat at the counter or take away. I have eaten here many times and always recommend this place when friends come to the market. Always friendly counter help. This sandwich is a deal and a great slice of life at the market

Di Nic's is amazing! We ordered a roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and roast beef with peppers. Both sandwiches were excellent. Pork and beef were both juicy and the peppers and rabe provided excellent color and contrast. Some people say there was not enough flavor, but there was more than enough for me. Service was great and food came out quickly. PS order the sharp provelone on your sandwich as well.

Get the roast pork with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, and long hots! There will more than likely be a long line, it moves quick.

With all the hype and this places meets and surpasses expectations. I was fortunate to get there a little after lunch rush so I didn't even have to wait in line, but knowing how good it is now, I would stand in line too.

I really didn't understand why my sandwich tasted like horseradish. I had a roasted pork with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. What ever it was, that's all I could smell and taste. I was with people that have had this sandwich before and thought the same thing.

Grab a seat at the counter and split the pork, broccoli rabe and provolone sandwich. Very tasty combo. And service is quick.

Stopped for a quick lunch while downtown Phila for business. Among the *many* options in the Reading market, Di Nic's stands out for awesome roast pork sandwiches. Beware the hot peppers, which are really hot.

I never thought roast pork could be this delicious! It is definitely worth the wait when the lines get long around noon. They know how to handle the crowd and are very efficient. The sandwich could easily be shared as it's very large.

This place is an absolute foodies dream. There's a lot of competition in philly and they stand strong here. Order the roast pork hoagie with broccoli rabe, provolone and long hots and your life will be complete c

My husband and I had a very long layover in Philadelphia, so we decided to venture out of the airport to see the Liberty Bell and to eat a roast pork sandwich- which we had seen someone eating there on the travel channel. We headed to the Liberty Bell first, and when we we left there were a couple of police officers standing on the corner, so we asked them where to get the best roast pork sandwich nearby. They told us to head to the Reading Terminal and go to Di Nic's, they even told us directions to walk there. Anyway, we were so glad they told us about this place, it was basically the best sandwich ever. There was a long line to order, so while we waited we checked out what people at the counter were eating, and it all looked good. When it was our turn to order we just asked for the roast pork sandwich, and whatever way is the most traditional or most ordered. So we ended up with roast pork and broccoli rabe, which was awesome! We split one sandwich between us, because there were so many other food stalls we knew we would want to try some kind of dessert or snack, but I think one sandwich is a good amount of food if that's all you're gonna eat -it was pretty big.

My wife an I stopped here based off of website recommendations and tv recommendations. Needless to say we were rather disappointed. We shared a pork sandwich and it was very lackluster. Lacked any seasoning or flavor. The bread was just alright, nothing to get overly excited about. For the price that I paid I do not recommend spending that much on just an average sandwich.

Roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe, best in town. Love this place. Frank Rizzo would have been proud to eat here.

Great food! The staff was great too. There might be a line you have to wait on but it is well worth it.
BEST pork sandwich!
There are many good Philly cheese steak places but this is the place to go if you want an authentic and delicious pork sandwich. Great bread, juicy pork. I prefer them over cheese steaks.
