This place was so good we couldn't stop laughing we were in tears before the night was over the food was actually really good not a single complaint feel of the place was actually really invited we will be back this place was probably number one for the weekend it was everyone's favorite thing in Dallas

Contrary to the rude theme, they actually have good service! I hung out here with girlfriends while waiting for a concert to start at the House of Blues, which is directly across the street. I kindly told the waitress DO NOT put one of those ridiculous hats on my head, because I'm going to a concert and do not want my hair messed up! She was not happy about my request, but she complied. The food was okay, but for the price, you get what you pay for. My friends ordered hurricanes and said they weren't good. In fact, the bar area is very small with only about 6 seats. The atmosphere is actually great. There's a covered balcony and the inside of the restaurant is open to the outside. It's also in a good location. Close to a lot of attractions, like the Dallas Aquarium, the AT&T center, House of Blues, museums, etc. You do have to pay for parking, since this is a downtown location.

Food was good but pricey. Good laughs, short wait, decent service. Hard to find parking close by. The cheesecake was delish.

Hey Guys! Thanks for a great experience. No matter my mood, I'd love to come into this place as much as I can, the only thing is, I live in Australia. We love paying each other out and this idea would be a hit in our part of the world. Love this humour and loved the cocktails and hearty meals. I only wish the staff were more rude. Yes I wrote that. I've told all my friends to come here when they come past Dallas. We will be back again. If people actually come on here to complain about the service at Dicks, unfortunately you are the one in the group of your friends that everyone hates but hasn't been told yet. Only boring people get bored!

A well known Dallas restaurant with a location a little bit farther away from the West End than it used to be, it has lost none of its charm and the food is great too. We didn't catch too much flack from the waiter even though he had a Bears hat on and I had a Packer shirt on. It was a quiet mid-week lunch time and they weren't too busy but I can imagine this location gets packed on a Friday night. If you like American pub fare without the chain restaurant pastiche, this is for you.

Sarcasm aside, this really is a nice concept restaurant. The food is okay, your typical fried food and fries, but you come here for the experience. Rude (but attentive and accurate) staff, live music, and the great attitude and humor everyone who works here has. A good spot to visit while your in Dallas!

I took my 17 year old & his friend here for lunch and it was a lot of fun. Our waiter was great & it was even more fun watching the other servers give their tables a hard time! We loved our hats and reading what was on other people's hats! I think it would be even more fun to be there for dinner, when it is crowded and crazy! The food was okay - but we really went for the experience! I would definitely go again!!!

I was kind of disappointed in our dinner at Dick's. I hate to say this but the people weren't as rude as they have been in the past. We go to Dick's to have a good time, laugh and get berated by comments, hats, etc. We still had a good time and the food was typical but didn't get that entertainment that Dick's is known for.

Beware of drink prices!! Stopped to have a drink. Tap/draw beer & margarita was $25!! Yes we stopped for the experience, but didn't expect top shelf prices for what we got. Will I go back? No! Way overpriced for a return visit.

Lauren, I want to thank you, and all of the Dicks staff for an awesome evening. I can say it was a Grand Slam. The birthday girl thoroughly enjoyed it, and we all had a blast. Our waitress, Lizzy, was amazing and she went out of her way to make sure we were all taken care of. You guys were awesome, and a greatly appreciate your help through all of this!

I have heard from friends that these places are hilarious to go to the whole time. Apparently early on I scared our waiter he said he was afraid to keep insulting me that I look like I would punch him. Fair. The food was excellent this was one of the best meals I had in Dallas.

Hamburgers are huge and pretty good too! The wait staff was "rude" and had a blast there. Wonderful time.

Great atmosphere. Good food. Great place for a poboy or sandwich. Fun service. We would definitely go back on our next trip.

Its a nice small restaurant ,they had very good fresh pizza with loots of choices for toppings. Didnt like the coffee (very bitter), friendly staff :)

I recommend taking only teenagers & adults. Food was finger licking good. No leftovers on this trip. There was plenty to eat we enjoy our waitress she made the kids laugh. The bourbon salmon was delicious. And the baby back ribs melted right off the bone. The bill was high but heck it's "Vacation!"

Where do I start? I'm from Seattle, and they hated my Seahawks hat. That got the ball rolling. Not for the feint hearted. Have to have a sense of humor to be able to enjoy it.

We definitely came for a good laugh but the food was extremely underwhelming and overpriced. People around us were asking what was good and all we could say was order drinks and eat elsewhere.

Dicks last resort may not be fore everyone but if you are willing to take a joke you will have a great time here.

Shabby atmosphere, rude servers, and good food. Love it!! Kids love parents in funny hats and bibs. Older drinking crowd late nites.

Came here for my nieces 18th birthday. I was expecting some rudeness from service cause that's what they do but we had a great server and he was a "quick thinker" to say it nicely. He did not insult anyone and has the table laughing. The food was not bad either. I had the chicken n' ribs and my husband has the chicken fried chicken and we both enjoyed our meals. Everyone had a good laugh about the just for you special hats they make. We though this place would make a great night out with our friend.

Fast food kind of joint which is a chain & similar to hooters !! It was a team dinner so casually walked into the place for a quick bite - to be honest food was very average & our overall consensus was the same !!

I just wanted to say "Thank you!" We visited Dick's on June 4th for my daughters 17th birthday. It was such a great time. Our waitress, Cheyenne, was the best! She was so attentive to our party and made sure that we had a blast!!!! The ages in our party ranged from 3 years old to 43 years old. Everyone laughed the entire time. My daughter said "it was the best birthday she has ever had!" Also, Lauren was very helpful in getting this set up! I cannot say thank you enough!!!! We will definitely be back!

Went to dicks last resort in Dallas Texas. The food was so good. Our server Lisa aka Dolly was so obnoxious and funny we loved it

Fun for large groups. Waiters were appropriately rude (it’s what they are known for). Food was good. Alcohol plentiful. Hood thing we had Uber

Don't expect a culinary experience- Dick's is just a fast food type restaurant. Waiters try to be jerks, that's part of the act. Food wasn't bad certainly not great. Lots of fried food, burgers, fries etc It's okay, don't expect too much.

Don't be offended by the rude staff here...that why it is called Dicks! A place you can be bullied and dish it back! Fun times, good food. Kitchen open until 11:00 pm. Food was good, drinks were overpriced! Not kid friendly.

Called in here for a bite to eat & drink. The staff r fabulous & even though they try to b rough it doesn't really work. Food was so tasty & beer is served in souvenir glasses. It's quite expensive but a good way to pass a few entertained hours. Their ribs & chicken wings were scrumptious, & i highly recommend them. Decor is great & the hats they make for u r definitely a laugh. Fun place.

We were early 11:30am. Ihad steak and shrimp she had Dolly: chicken and rice. I had 3 pints plus a free one she had a coke. I bought a dicks t shirt total $69. The abuse was free and worth double that! Anyone in this day and age who offers over and above the norm gets extra points in my book. The waitress told me off took the p**s and was good fun. Food great good venue just go

We have been avid HRC fans for years and found a car park next to the cafe, on this occasion we did not find it very welcoming and Dicks was just over the road so in need of refreshments we called in, instantly we felt welcome, it is my type of place, the barmaid was chatty with a great sense of humour, Eloise, she was a credit to the bar, perhaps because we were receptive to her, but she made the few hours we were in the bar such fun, making silly hats, sampling a new drink and devouring our own Margarettas, which were delicious, we also had a snack sitting at the bar, which again was extremely enjoyable. We visited on a very quite lunchtime and would have loved to visit again in the evening but unfortunately was unable to

Kids first time at Dicks- maybe some parents with tweens would avoid a place like this- not us. Abusive service, name calling, rude paper hats and crispy fried foods was exactly what our family needed! We all had too much fun- kids drank ALL their water so the server wouldn’t yell at them and cleaned up their own spill to avoid getting caught making a mess in John’s section. We left laughing, full and hydrated. John deserves a raise- would he consider teaching parenting classes??

Stopped here for dinner while on business trip. Heard this was a fun place and wasn't disappointed. Since I was solo I was overlooked for the the tomfoolery and shenanigans but I did enjoy seeing other groups being teased and taunted. Food was nothing special. Typical BBQ fare. Came by bike so parking wasn't a problem--just secured it on patio. Overall a nice experience for this 'tourist' because of the free entertainment provided by the waitstaff and other customers being harassed.

We have always enjoyed the humor of Dick's in San Antonio and thought we would try this location. Food is pricey and is only really fries and chicken strips of other type of protein.....don't think the service is good enough for the price and there was not much humor involved at this location....will not return.

We went to Dick’s as a bucket list destination, expecting hats with insults, a waitress/waiter with witty humor who kept us on our toes. Instead we got a little dry humor, missing items from our order, and mediocre food. Super disappointed we didn’t even get hats with insults. Bucket list checked but not what we expected.

Not my first time to a Dick's but first time to the one in Dallas. Greeters were friendly, first sign of breaking character. In fact, the only person all night that acted the right part was the runner who actually brought out our food. But all that aside, the food was hit and miss. I got half a rack of ribs and some friend chicken. The chicken was delicious, the ribs left a lot to be desired. My wife got a salad and asked for dressing from TWO different people and still didn't get it. I got up and went to the bar to get the dressing personally. Expected better.

Food was ok, nothing special. Was hoping for some fun, quick witted staff but they were just rude and off colour. Definitely was not the experience we had hoped for based on the reviews we had seen.

omg this place was amazing the waiter are hilarious and let me tell you they don't call dick for nothing. The food was great and at a decent price would recommend this place for a get together for friends

Stopped in for supper the other night and was pleasantly surprised. I had never eaten there before and had actually planned on going to another spot nearby. I sat up at the bar and was served by Katie. I had the ribs and wings which were good. The service was fast, and people were having a good time. The decor was a bit different but added to the atmosphere for sure. I will eat here again when I am in town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here, where I got a good meal of ribs and chicken. I also laughed a lot from all the crazy things the wait staff were writing on the paper hats they were making for the customers. I got great service and the prices weren't stupid.

If you are on of those people that are "always serious" about everything, then you might want to avoid Dick's. But if you want to laugh, cut up, and have a great time with a good meal, then you gotta give Dick's a try! FUN is the best way to describe this place. It's can be a little crude, but if you don't have fun here, it's your own fault. The staff is very fun-loving and they will make sure you enjoy yourself. There is no telling what they might bring out to your table...paper hats, balloons, etc. One time I was there, the entire restaurant got into a paper wad fight! The food is good and well-priced. I had the bourbon salmon and it was very tasty. The thick potion of the fish could have been cooked just a tad longer, but it was not that bad. Lots of menu items to choose from. Adult beverages also available. Great place for large groups.

The food was delicious. The insulting waiter ensured that our visit was wonderful and awful at the same time. He ensured that the food was good and that the insults never stopped starting with the stupid hats.

Great time. Awesome waitress. Atmosphere was entertaining. Great location around many other things. Cute tee shirts to buy. Bought a fishbowl drink and the glass came with it. Sweet. Drinks didn't seem to have hardly any alcohol. Got the ribeye steak and over half was fat and couldn't eat it. But my friend ordered hers and it was great. Next time I'll get the fried food. Looked great.

Late night for drinks! Bartender was rude...but of course that is job...its Dick's! No really he was cool and funny. Visited on May 19, 2016

The atmosphere is nice and funny! The waiters will mock you and your friends and you will laugh all night long! The food is good and they have a huge variety of beers from all over the world. Don't expect a fancy place... It's simple and fun!

This place supposedly offers good prices and perhaps good food yet there is very odd and gruesome catch to this; the servers will treat you bad and insult you! Yes. You heard correct. You come here and don't expect good manners at all. Supposedly that is the m.o. (way they do things there) but to be honest I almost wanted to smack a server when I was there.

Standard Dick's place. Insults supplied freely in good nature. Reasonable prices for a downtown location.

I understand the point of the "dick" waiters, but after a while it became extremely annoying, they were trying too hard to be a "dick". My hat read "Will twerk for a ride home". If I was white I doubt they would have put that on my hat. I got the trash can punch and it taste like Hawaiian punch and a cheap vodka. Definitely not worth $9. I ordered the catfish bucket and it did not taste like catfish AT ALL. Taste like a white fish and they added a breaded seasoning. I was extremely disappointed, considering it was $16 for that meal. I also got the shell-fish dip. The cheese they used tasted like government cheese. It was so thick and got hard fast. Horrible taste, I didn’t even eat a 3rd of it! Another waste of $9! My friends had the ribs, chicken wings, and nachos and everyone complained about their food! The wings were low quality, ribs had no flavor. If you need to drown your ribs in bbq sauce, they weren't cooked right. Sad to say, the fries and water was the best part of our meals. If you love food and know how it should be seasoned and cooked correctly, you will not enjoy this place. If you're looking for good catfish in the DFW, I'd highly suggest Catfish Floyd. The pricing at Dick's is ridiculous considering the quality of the food. I will not be back. I'd go to Hooters right next to it instead.

This' place is for people who like to experience fun and laugh!! We will go back. Great burgers and drinks!!!!

Went there for lunch on Saturday and the hostess was very nice and accommodating. Our waiter was hilarious! I ordered the catfish bucket and I would definitely recommend it. It was cooked perfect.

Stopped in at Dick's before the hockey game in Dallas on a Friday night, and was overly disappointed. No comparison to the Dick's in Vegas, the bartender and servers were boring and not funny at all. Poor service, with a horrible beer selection. We didn't even bother to order food, and left after a couple brews.

We stopped in on our way to a concert and decided to try the nachos and I had a raspberry drink, both were great. We sat at the bar and were ignored for a bit before we were able to order. Overall, we had a good experience.

I ordered a cheeseburger and a beer. Delicious! Our server was awesome. He was more funny than a "dick." I've been to Dick's Last Resort in San Diego, California and Las Vegas, Nevada.

This was our second time visiting this restaurant. Both times while going to an NHL hockey game. The restaurant is in a convenient location. Walking distance is maybe 5 mins to arena. The restaurant is loud. But people are having fun. The staff are a bit goofy but that is what you expect when you go there. Be prepared to have a silly hat made with something funny or raunchy written on it. All in good fun. The food is okay. We had nachos and wings. The beer is good. Cheap and cold. We would go back there if we had tickets for another hockey game. Can't beat the location!

This place is classic! My family and I go to this chain whenever we visit a city that has one! They are such a good time! The wait staff are awesome in there rude way! The food is above average and if you order a "Big a** beer" you get to keep the glass. I love all reading all the crazy hats they put on the customers and hearing them yell across the restaurant. If you've never been to Dick's, check out their website and go to one. It is a blast!!

I work too hard for my money to spend it on rude wait staff, lackluster food and overprice drinks. Does anyone really find being insulted and ignored - fun? First surprise - $20 didn’t cover the cost of two mixed drinks?!? Found out we’d been given souvenir mugs, basically jelly jars with handles, because we said it was our first visit to Dick’s. They firmly refused to refund the souvenir mug overcharge when we tried to return them or apply a credit to our dining bill. Second nasty surprise – one of our group members has dietary restrictions and the waitress wouldn’t hold a serious discussion concerning the menu options and their preparation, instead she kept falling back to the Dick’s idea of “humorous” contempt. Finally – the food was mediocre and not delivered as ordered and good luck finding someone who cared about fixing the problems. My final thoughts? We deserve better during an evening on the town.

What a great place!! Had apps and drinks here before concert at House of Blues. Drinks were weak, but the people watching made up for it. Apps (Crabby Balls) were a pleasant surprise. The meals looked wonderful and the environment was very cool!!

Everyone needs to go to Dick's Last Resort, the food was great, but the insults were greater, wait staff is so creative!

We didn't quite know what to expect when we turned up here. It started when we asked for a table for 3 and they asked for a name. My husband gave his name but they dismissed him saying it was a stupid name and booked it under my name. But you knew they were only living up to the Dick's reputation so it was funny. Waitress at table was hilarious giving us some great insults and calling me a food retard because I didn't want gravy on my chicken fried chicken. The food was excellent and there was live music too. We got the inevitable insult bags on our heads - mine said "ask me about my rash ". It was really funny and a great experience. Don't know how this concept would go down in the UK. I suspect there would be fighting!! Well worth a visit for both the food and the experience.

Attempted to visit sense we had a great time at the San Antonio...well the Dallas location should be your last resort. After 20 mins we finally got drinks, at the 35 min mark and no wait staff we went to Hooter's next store. Save the trip and go the San Antonio way better.

Two blocks from JFK museum. It was very quiet during day. Can be fun, just had drinks and they were typical of chains. Service was good. Nice change from other chains and neat atmosphere.

For something different, my wife and I went to this place and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff is intentionally rude, inappropriate at times, and always comical... but it's part of their theme, so if you have no sense of humor, don't visit! The food is also pretty good, and prices are reasonable. Probably not suitable for younger children, even though we saw some there, but you may end up finding yourself having to explain some comments on the ride home...totally depends on your comfort level with that.

I had heard about this place from my wife and a friend, but never had a chance to go. So, a group of us went to test it out during a convention. It was a short wait, wild and crazy fun atmosphere, and surprisingly good food. It was very inexpensive. The waitresses love to put hats on everyone with deragatory sayings.

Wasn't sure about this place but gave it a try anyway. The restaurant's "schtick" is that the waiters and waitresses are allowed to be rude to customers. Isn't this what you try to avoid at other restaurants? On the other hand the food was above average, and the speed of service (although it was a busy concert night). Wasn't sure how I felt about the male waiter table dancing for us (not that a female waiter would have been less uncomfortable...). If you're in a adult group and are ok with the shenanigans and want to pay for "rude" but not "bad" service then Dicks is for you. For me I'll pay for good service and treatment elsewhere.

Visit this place while in Dallas service was good and quick I had the brisket with Mac and cheese and coleslaw it was very satisfactory had enough to even share I would recommend this place

Great place for a drink, snack, or meal! Sarcasm and sense of humor are in full throttle at Dicks ! Don't expect top notch customer service ! Expect the worst and enjoy the fun !

We were in town for a short time stopped for lunch! Service and food was great! Laughed a lot and we were very full when we left! Totally worth the stop if you are in Dallas!

I was here earlier in the month while I was staying nearby. I was surprised how empty the place was, so it must have been a slow night. The service was fast and friendly, and food good.

Upon entering the establishment, staff seemed oddly behaved but after sitting down all became apparent. This is how the service is, but to be fair the waitress was helpful and service was good. Food - fairly average I would say and had to wait for fro chips whilst eating my main meal.

We walked into the bar and were immediately asked if we knew the necklace, which we denied. The friendly waiter explained to us how it goes and we could decide how we wanted it. That's why I don't understand some reviews if guests are surprised about it. It's funny without consequences to go full throttle, because both sides are allowed to. I've had a delicious time

The food was incredible, the service was fun if you know what to expect. It is a family establishment however not rated "G". The language/print is vulgar and intended for an adult crowd.

Not our first experience with a Dicks, but our first time at this location. Our server could apparently tell we weren't there for a funny hat, because she skipped that, as well as the insults. I had the catfish with fries, which was good but nothing special. Hubby had the salmon, same thoughts on it. We split a piece of cheesecake for dessert, and were pleasantly surprised - it was definitely the highlight of the meal.

Came here for lunch on Super Bowl Sunday with a bunch of other Dallas area bicyclists. We had about 100 people descend on the restaurant at once. The small staff did an awesome job of getting everyone seated and drinks in a quick amount of time. The 3 stars is due to the food taste and quality. The fries tasted like the metal bucket they were served in. (Maybe the grease was old)? The fried catfish, while served hot, had a rubbery coating. The fish itself had decent flavor. Fun atmosphere with attentive service.

I was in town visiting friends and they took me to Dick’s they didn’t t tell me what I was walking into. It was a shock to my system! Lol I had an amazing time once I realized what was going on. This restaurant is NOT for thinned skinned people. It’s for people who are looking laugh...especially at themselves. Strange but amazing. My server put a whole lemon in my water (pictured below) because I had the audacity to ask for extra lemon! Lol!!! You should definitely go and laugh your A double S off!!!

We went on a Friday for lunch and I was surprised there was no wait time! I loved all the decor. Any place with Elvis on the walls is a winner in my book. I was afraid our waiter was going to be a huge dick but he was more funny than mean, which I digged. There is construction in that part of town that made parking awful but everything else about this lunch outing was fun . Also, be prepared to pay for parking in some form whether it is a parking meter or a lot.

When I was planning my trip to Dallas, I knew i had to visit the original Dick's Last Resort. The waiter was everything I had imagined it would be. Very fun experience, if you like to be insulted, which apparently we did!! We stopped in around lunch time, enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger, chicken mac n cheese and chiky tenders. Food was good, drinks were generous. My girls ordered bar drinks which included a souvenir mug to take home. Our hats were funny and tasteful and we enjoyed the wisecracks... including the waiter taking a break to "take the Browns to the Superbowl". I will definitely visit other Dick's Last Resort locations whenever possible.

Liked.... It was silly, and fun. a party that was shared by all the staff and customers. The food.... Ok Just ok, but you don't go to a place like that for great food. Disliked the prices, especially for the drink. It was $20,00 and you kept the glass. I didn't want, nor ask for the glass. I also wasn't told the price before I ordered. It wasn't even a good drink....., just large and silly looking. It added to the fun but not wasn't worth $20.00 for a mediocre drink.

Good food great atmosphere was little early in the evening but still some fun, would be great to have one back home

Went here before hockey game. Nice not overly crowded. Great Service. Everyone was friendly. 5 of us decided to stop for cocktails before continuing on.

My wife and I went here with some friends for lunch. I ordered the catfish basket, and the fish was really good, but overall this place was very forgettable. I went expecting to be assaulted by a relentless waiting staff, but instead, our waitress was one of the most polite people I have ever met. This will be the only time I ever complain about such an encounter. I just expected them to actually be dicks, so i was pretty let down. I would go again as an absolute last option.

These restaurants are fun if you are travelling with a group that likes to get loud and rowdy. Waiters are rude, and you wear bibs and hats. A great experience if you get a waiter that is up to playing along. The food is good, not great and you are paying for the entertainment provided by your waiter that you are then expected to tip well. Take your drinking friends for laughs and take your dining friends elsewhere for food.

The waitress and the rest of the staff were INCREDIBLY RUDE. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK!! They also hand out pornographic material, which I'm not sure that they're licensed to do. WORST PLACE IN DALLAS BY FAR!!!!

went to the dicks in Boston and had a blast. The waiter was funny, and the food was amazing. Definitely going back, anyone with a sense of humor should go here. It was so much fun :)

Sent with customers to visit Dicks. Had graet fun, BBQ style Food and plenty of it! Staff with an edge and great comments for all visitors :-) Food was good and large portion sizes!

We made the mistake of being in Dallas during the red rivalry, when I say mistake I mean any chance of a quiet honeymoon in Dallas, went out the window with the OU and Texas fans descending on us! So we thought bugger it let's join them and enter the rowdiness at dicks! Awesome finger licking wings, plenty of beers, a few cheeky shots and class banter with the waiters and the crazy OU fans! Cracking night!

This was my fist trip to a Dicks but my daughter was aware of what we were walking in to and prepared me. I had a blast with come backs and sarcastic remarks. May have embarrassed my daughter a little. The food was really good. Loved the salsa and chips. The entree servings are huge. I would suggest splitting a combo. Another suggestion would be to find out how much the mangorita cost before you order. It was delicious however I didn't know I was buying a souvenir glass!! All in all not your same ole same ole. Definitely would go again!

We stopped by after a Dallas Stars game. We could enjoy outside since weather was nice. Wings were hot, ribs just fine and beer cold. We didnt know the place sonit took us sometime to realize what was going on. In the end, a nice experience in downtown Dallas.

Service with an ATTITUDE is their slogan,so I knew I was in for a real treat!!! They make you these awesome paper hats with disturbing-yet funny "sayings" written on them... For example mine stated( Cougar looking for some young- white meat ) 😳🙈omg!!! And my 14 year old daughter was at the table(I know) but guess what her hat stated!!!! (Stripper in training) YES my mouth hit the floor but it was all in good fun!!!!! The food was delicious and atmosphere was Krazzzy!!! So I guess my mother was ready to leave cause she said in her "Outside" voice- I'm tired of Dick's( imagine that) everyone in listening distance fell out.... Great memories Dick's..... And by the way, I'm NOT tired of Dick's😘

Usual Dicks experience: decent food, obnoxious wait staff, and midrange prices. Not the easiest location to find ("behind Hooters") but worth the hunt.

We decided to go to this restaurant just to have fun and get our minds off of work. We went on a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. Our server was a little on the boring side, as she had a slick line here and there. The table next to us had a server who was very funny and attentive. The food was great, our whole group was pleased with that part. Perhaps we'll try again over the weekend and see if the entire staff is livelier.

it is called DICKS for a reason we had a blast if you dont want to be insulted and spoken rudely too then dont go but we had a great time and great food as well will definitely go back

My first visit to Texas. My cousin and I went to Dicks for lunch. Friendly, fun and clean. I like how they judge the customers moods and feed off eachother, to make your visit Great! =) the food is amazing.

I was in Dallas 2 weeks ago it was Sunday and we where feeling the need for food. We stopped at several places in the downtown area, most had a 30 to 45 minute wait for a seat one we got into right away only to learn that it would be 1 1/2 hour wait for food.. So off we went. I walked into Dicks and asked the server if they had a wait list I was happy to learn there wasn't any wait. The restaurant wasn't packed but was busy and they had plenty of staff. It's was a fun place to visit, the staff was great and the food was as well the staff love to kid around with the guests so if you can't laugh at yourself or if your a prude you might not have fun. We all had a fantastic time and I'm still talking about it.

This was our first trip to a Dicks, and we didn't realise that they had a theme. As such, the banter and interaction with the staff came as a complete surprise to us, however we LOVED it! Such a funny, relaxed and informal atmosphere makes for a great experience for food and drink. Would highly recommend for people who don't take themselves too seriously!

Great place with a great atmosphere! The wait staff are quirky and fun! They made paper hats with butcher paper and had funny sayings on them for the customers. Lots of funny things to look at all over the restaurant. The food? The ribs were really, really good! I don't like alot of BBQ sauce so I had the dry rub. Yummy! I would definately go back to one of these chain restaurants.

I stopped in here for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon after visiting the Perot Museum. They have a reasonable number of beers on draft and dozens of bottled beers. Service was prompt efficient and friendly. I had the Swiss and mushroom burger-which was outstanding. I would certainly come back again.

Always a fun place to come before a hockey game at American Airlines Center. Just be ready to be insulted! It is so fun and all in jest that I enjoy myself every time I visit Dick's. The menu is straightforward and good, drink menu full, and atmosphere is fun. Perfect place to go when with friends or family and you're up for the sense of humor.

Their stick is ok, but its not for the faint of heart, or for the kids sometimes. The food is ok, its a neat place inside and on game days too. A few questions after the kids visited the restroom, and our niece cried when the waiter singled her out for a joke and about 80 straws in her drink! You never know who gets it, but someone will. Just be ready.

Went here on a Wednesday night with friends before a concert and had a shot wait. Went to the bar to get drinks started and was ignored and the smell coming from the bar area was suspect. The beers that were put on the bar were overflowing with suds making a mess but no concen fron the tender. We had a very foul mouthed waiter that had to be called out for language. You can be funny and rude without the language. Food was absolutely terrible. Frozn dinners would have been better. I do not recommend.

Las september during a business trip to Dallas, me and my colleagues spend our last night in this place, my first impression was mmmmmm! Ok let and try this place, since the fisrt time the waitress (an old and grumpy look like lady) provide us one of the most stonishimg momemts during our trip. she créate for all of us a funny paper hats with funny drwas about our personalities, it was really fun, food and drinks was great, this place is more tan recomendable is a must if you visit Dallas

First time visiting this chain and it was a lot of fun. You must go with an open mind! Wait staff is fun in their own unique way! Paper hats are fun to read. Would not recommend for children.

We loved this place. It's a bar setting but they open early for lunch. Ordered wings, mozzarella sticks, plus pork sandwich and it all tasted great. A little bit expensive but it did come with a lot of food, honestly I wouldn't have minded less food for less cost. Nevertheless if we're ever in Dallas again we would eat here!

I took a group of college girls who all play lacrosse together, the food isn't anything special but our server made it so fun for these young women I would encourage anybody with older teens and young adults to check this place out.

Stopped for lunch on the way to Clapton crossroads festival. Been to a few Dicks before an enjoyed. We shaared the crab legs, the they were cooked perfectly. Waitress was funny, IPA draft was good.

I get the idea of how 'fun' it's supposed to be with those hats and signs and so on - I was prepared to laugh and enjoy the different restaurant environment. Our waiter was not friendly or rude, he was not funny and not helpful - tried to upsell everything we ordered. Forgot my soda completely....yes, I know it's a bar but hell, I was designated driver. Fried pickles were tasteless with a watery ranch dressing/dip. But the worst part was the $15 'ribs & wings' dinner -- the 5 wings were dry, overcooked and probably the worst wings I've ever had....the 4 ribs were just OK but nothing to rave about. Basically the great time I hoped for was boring and then annoying, the service was not good, and the biggest disappointment was the horrible food. I won't be back.

prior to the segway tour, brother, daughters and i met up at this place...loved it...they talk yang you talk yang and everybody has a funny, good time...and everybody gets a hat, may have(does) written comments on it but it's all in fun...we had a blast...

Honestly I can’t say enough about this place!! Service amazing, food amazing, clean, and the STAFF IS ONE OF A KIND!!! Allen Our server not only provided the best service I have ever had, made my family laugh, but also LITERALLY SAVED MY NIECES Life!!! SHE CHOKED on a French fry and in my freak out I was not even thinking and could not get the food dislodged! The bus boy overheard and seen the commotion and told his manager in Spanish what was going on. She instantly started asking all employees who was verified in heimlich, our server then ran over who happened to be a certified paramedic and gave her two pumps and the food dislodge and she could breathe!! This was the longest minute of my life!! But truly a moment where you look back and say thank god, we were at that place at that time with that sever who was a certified paramedic! Minutes could have changed this situation drastically, however because of the staff and the attentiveness of their guest they saved her life!! Thank you thank you thank you!! Allen I hope we become life long friends!! I can’t thank you enough!!!

My boyfriend and I went in without knowing what we were getting into. The waiter started being mean, then informed us subtly that we’re new so he’s gonna be rude. He called my boyfriend and I “Ken and Barbie” the whole time, then made us hats with hilarious things written on them. The food was delicious and it was a great environment! So much fun.

There used to be a Dick's in Chicago but they closed it down some years ago. So it's been forever since I've been to one. Just like I remember, rude but hilarious. Menu is a lot smaller here than I remember but all the same. Always an experience. Good food too!

I went with a younger group of girls to this place. They had told me that these people are rude and say bad things about you. What?? But yes it was true. I really don't know why you would want to dine somewhere like that but ok.... I ordered chicken. It was terribly dry. The service was well...rude. The place was overcrowded and overpriced. Not a fan!

Don't come here if you are a stick in the mud! Lots of joking and interacting with the patrons goes on with the staff, yet they are very professional and efficient. We had the ribs and wings - both excellent. Great place to sit back and blow off steam! Good luck with your hat! (Go ahead and wear it and have fun!)

This is a fun place, lots of hens' about to get married making fools of them selves, you can get a good laugh out of this place. The food was good not to expensive beers where reasonably priced, but the atmosphere was buzzing, not the sort of place I would go every night but great for a good night every now and again.

Our server JD (gorgeous as well) was on top of his game! He never let the drinks run dry and told me oh no u don't want that drink ( strawberry dacri ) I should have listened it was horrible (pre made out of machine) food was great a lil pricy but the vibe in the place was great! Was not as good as San Antonio's location but it was a Sunday and not really busy! If your not familiar with the concept be warned! It's amazing! They do not conform to the better the service the better the tip! It's actually quite the opposite! ( in a good way)

I took my family to Dicks Last Resort this weekend and had fun. I must say it wasn't what I expected. I've heard stories of it being more rowdy and very funny environment. Maybe we went on an off night. Our server seemed to have a nonchalant attitude hidden in the overall theme of the place. It's funny the place is next to hooters because the food was similar. I also felt it was a little pricy. The smile on my mother's face made up for it. She called the next day to tell me how much fun she had before heading off to church. I think the verdict is still out on this one. All of our food was prepared properly. It came out in a timely fashion. All of the decor was cool to check out. I guess I was just expecting more.

Took my twelve year old daughter. Perhaps not the smartest decision... lots of adult humor all around us. Our food came our super fast and it was yummy! We had a great server, she was just the right amount of sarcastically fun but we still got great service.

Go to Dicks and watch the carnage! The staff were funny and the food was amazing. It's a little bit mad but go with the flow and you'll be fine. Highly recommend it if you are in a large group.

we went here after our segway tour. food was good for a chain restaurant. did have fun with the staff.

Good restorant, good service and the food is good. They privides a variety of dishes. It is anice place to go with frieds, wife or husband, and family.

Dicks has been around for years. However; this Dicks, Corporate Office, is not the best. The entertainment is average .food is average and employees attitudes are mediocre! Highly recommend Myrtle Beach it Las Vegas!!

Our server played her part, lobbing wisecracks now and then, but still doing her job well. She made us feel welcome and encouraged us to take pics/have fun on the stage. So did the hostess. The food was relatively expensive (e.g. $14.99 for mac n cheese w one slice of garlic toast) and inconsistent. One person in our group liked her dish (crab legs) but nobody else bothered to finish their food. Fried pickles were both dry and greasy at the same time...still trying to figure that out. I got a stomach ache and couldn’t finish them. If I were taking a bunch of tween girls out, I might consider returning. There are a lot of “Instagrammable” moments here.

If you are familiar with Dick's Last Resort you will understand the heading. If not, read on. First of all, parking is available behind Hard Rock Cafe which is across Houston Street from Dick's. You can park there for up to 2 hours for free. As for Dick's, this chain prides itself on its rude approach to serving. The servers are actually quite good and the food is also excellent. If you enter the place with the correct attitude, you can have a great deal of fun trading insults with the staff. I would consider it a sports bar because there are many televisions broadcasting sporting events throughout the restaurant.

There was a time when this was THE place for Dallasites to hang out. Now it's all tourists. The place has two personalities. If it's empty, it'a a little scary and not quite clean. If it's crowded, then its a party. The bartenders are usually pretty nice and the drinks, if they have time to mix them, can be good. If you're just visiting the city, then you might have a good time here.

Had a great time here, they place paper hats on your head with funny slogans. I found the drinks very nice and not scabby on the alcohol. the salads very yummy as was the chicken. would come back again if i went back to dallas

Environment with bad smell and bad served , fatty food and with a lot of spices , servant wanting to push the whole menu !!!

I tried the fish tacos and they were okay. I did enjoy the tequila chips and queso dip. The atmosphere was nice and the service good.

This is the place to be !!! Fanstasitic staff! Crazy if you haven't been here. This review wants more words. I don't know how many words I have.

Dick's is known for "rude" service and rowdy atmosphere. This place did not disappoint in that regard. Went for dinner on a Sunday while in Dallas for work. Had the southwest chicken salad and a huge coke. The food came quickly and was decent. Not great, but decent. My only complaint was that the table was sticky and the waiter didn't really care. Would NOT take kids there.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this dicks last resort in Dallas tx. Laurie our waitress was very warm and friendly. She helped use with the menus various items to pick something to our satisfaction. Margarita's were light on the tequila, so I recommend asking for a top shelf one. Then we went to a concert at American Airlines center which was near by and easy to get to from the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time Jan 8th for lunch let's just say the service is ok but the year what they say they r dicks that's how they r supposed to b I was ok w that but the food was average I've had way way better not sure if we will go back though

I flew from SFO to Dallas on January 13th..........to start a 3 day meeting. Dinner at Dick's was a great ending to a busy travel day. The waitress was rude, crude and fantastically funny! The food was "good" and the atmosphere great. I would recommend Dick's to anyone who is looking forward to a fun time at dinner. Look out for the "hat" that is made for you.....it could be really embarrassing :)

We turned up late and they could not get rid of us quick enough. Bad food. Very expensive. Not rude but insincere. I got the feeling they think tourists are stupid. Never again.

Great food but really you go for the vibe! Crazy waiters write stuff on hats - basically funny comments - they are obnoxious but in a playful friendly way - could make for an entertaining somewhat different evening

Dick's Last Resort hosts the Super Bowl Sunday Ride every year. It's one of the biggest gathering for local cyclists in DFW every year. Great atmosphere, good food and quick in and out. We will be back.

If you are looking for a fun place to grab a bite. Head to Dick's Last Resort!!!! The food is good and the price is right!

We really did have a good time at Dick's. It was nothing like we had experienced before. We had 4 in our party and really did have a good time. The food was typical "bar food", but our server was very good... we all got "insulting" hats and it was a fun time for all.

The fried pickles were good, but the cheesy seafood dip was running & the chips were so thin they kept breaking in the dip. Had to go hunt down our waiter so we could order dinner. We ordered country fried steak, but got chicken fried chicken. We got charged for the steak which was more expensive than the chicken. The gravy tasted like it was powder & water. Now for the drinks...overpriced & watered down. If they truly had all the liquor in them that the menu stated, I would have felt the effects. Had 1 1/2 drinks & it had NO effect on me. You do get to keep the glasses, so that's what you are really paying for. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Visited Dick's last resort with my daughter's high school club volleyball team. What a fun night, and the ribs were great! Truly a place that makes you realize that sometimes you just need to laugh about things!

You don't go here for what I see the negative reviews are about. We had a great time with a group of adults, laughed more than I have in a long time. Not a kid friendly place, don't grip if you don't have fun with your kids. Know what you are getting into before you go and you'll have a blast!

While staying overnight in Dallas, Texas with our family group of 11 at the recommendation of one in our party who had been to this location previously. We used to pass the one in Illinois but it hasn't been there for years.( I think they moved) I never got to try it until now. Can't say enough great things about this location. Our large group didn't phase the friendly hostess who had us seated promptly on a Saturday evening no less. Our server was wonderful, (TYRONE)as was every employee we interacted with - friendly, professional and fun. The food is outstanding and we know BBQ! It's difficult to please everyone in such a large group, but Dick's Last Resort did. And the chicken fried chicken was awesome !. We were talking about how good the meal was the next day and our server Tyrone was outstanding!. So with that being said if you go to this place . put on your big-boy pants , because the staff is full of sarcasm..and fun.....FYI I suggest you ask for Tyrone as your server..

This is a great place to go. Our server was great. Good selection good and reasonably priced. Not sure appropriate for little kids especially ones learning to read. My teens liked it.

Fun place...good drinks and good food. Definitely get the fried pickles. Great place for casual dining with friends.

Tyrone is sooo much fun. Very, very, very sexy black man Had a great time! Awesome food, great laighs!

We did choose to eat outside so it was quiet. Our waiter was actually not rude. Which was fine. I had the Crabby balls and fries. They were pretty tasty! My husband had the fish tacos and liked them as well. Worth going.

I wasn't sure what to expect upon my first visit here, but I should have had a clue when I walked in and saw most folks with large, butcher-paper hats on their heads. After we were seated, we received our own hats, specifically made for each of us. Each large white hat had a supposedly witty ephitet that had been written with a crayon by someone on staff, probably the waitress. One guy's hat said "Stunt double for Brokeback Mountain." Another guy's hat said "2 inches of dangling fury." I suppose the wait staff gets a real kick out of belittling the customers. The tables are like picnic tables pushed together, so there is no privacy. The food is served in small buckets, and even though silverware is provided, one must eat off of butcher paper that quickly becomes saturated with grease. The food is overpriced for a joint like this ($16.99 for a chicken-fried steak), but I must admit (and I give this restaurant two stars because) the three ribs and chicken I had (also $16.99) were very good. If you like your food done crude, you may like this place, but I think I'll give it a pass my next time in the neighborhood.

Food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Visited here with a group of friends during a pageant. I am personally not crazy about the name calling and demeaning of customers. There are other ways to have fun while eating a meal at a restaurant, but to each his own. I tried it once, and that was enough for me. Recently while in Gatlinburg, I passed on the opportunity to eat at that location. I don't want to pay people to insult me. I can get anyone to do that. LOL. But, if that's your thing, then go for it. Like I said, this was not my PERSONAL cup of tea, but the food was okay. I am in no ways demeaning the staff, as they were just doing their job that they get paid for, but as I was with a group, and had to eat here with them, I would not be eating here again.

Thanks folks, was great to sit and chat with you They made me feel like I was just chilling at home Everyone should visit

I went back a second time hoping that it would be better than the first time. The manager Robert H. promised to take care of us. That was crap!!! The food was rubbery and nasty. Our waitress was too old to be waiting on anyone. She seemed tired and just working for a check. We watched other tables be entertained and have fun while we sat there looking lost and out of place. The catfish is horrid and so was the barbecue. I finally got it,.... This is a horrible restaurant that we will never return to!!!

We love this concept and were really looking forward to being insulted. I think we had dinner too early as our waiter was actually nice and friendly and we were bracing for insults that never came. He said they operate by a daylight vs party light schedule and because we were there during the day, we got the PG rated version. Disappointing! The food was pretty crappy and tasteless - regular fried American food. However the apple pie was delicious! We did get the traditional hats - mine said "I've rubbed more balls than a gypsy" and a guy at the other table's said "Stunt double for Brokeback mountain" haha

The staff is hilarious. I was prepared to take abuse because a friend recommended. The waiter went over the menu and was patient while we decided what to eat. It was still lunchtime but we were thinking about ordering dinner. The one thing that gets overlooked is the food. The food was good, it was brought out while it was still hot. We visited Dick's Last Resort over the Christmas break while in Dallas. Since I visit Texas once or twice a year, this will be a must stop!

We celebrated my birthday and had a lot of fun. Out waiter was great. The food was good, but I felt it was overpriced and didn't think it was really worth the 2 hour wait for a table. Just wanted to go to see what it was all about, but will probably not return.

"Rude" waiters are part of the fun... go with a fun/good attuitude and you will have a blast! Dont ask for Crab Crackers... they will hand you a bottle of catsup and tell you to go for it...

I went with my 12 and 10 year old. The atmosphere is fun, but I feel like it's more suited for a fun night out with a group of friends than a quick family meal. The food was pretty good, but expect to spend around $20 per person or more. Again, if I were planning to hang out with friends and enjoy the atmosphere more, it would probably be worth it, but we just got our hats and enjoyed a few grumpy words from our waiter and left, so I couldn't help but feel that we could have had equal-quality food much cheaper somewhere else. Overall though, it was a good experience and I would consider going again.

The atmosphere is very fun. They are very witty with their insults and banter. The food is good. Great pregame must do.

We had a great time ..Maura was r wait person ..she was fabulous ...made it a great party ...we had lots of fun ....great service ...she gets 5 stars from us

Went to new location near AAC, not the same. You can eat free peanuts and throw shells on floor. Atmosphere makes the food seem better then it really is.

The waitress made our night loud boisterous, silly, fun and worth coming to downtown! This is party starter fun! We are so wound up from laughing we gotta go find more stuff to do! Foods good too!

Went here for lunch before the game. Real nice rib eye steak and smashed taters. add a lb of crab legs for 8 bucks. good drinks but.... Pepsi no Coke

We spend our hard earned money at dicks because your staff is awesome as hell. Home away from home where we can get drunk, are offered advice when we want to complain, eat food that's bad for us, smoke cigarettes on the patio, and have created friendships with people who will definitely be around for a long time. Name drop. Sorry not sorry. I love: Chelsen, Angie, Travis, Shawn, Mark the fat guy, Tiffany, Brittany (who should still have awesome pink hair), Maura, Juan (just because he gives great hugs) Anyone else that works there.... Is awesome too. My liver hates all of you but I love you.... And that's what matters most.

We took a trolley tour of downtown Dallas and was referred to Dick's by the tour guide. Her introduction of the place was that the staff is paid to be sarcastic to you and display a bit of an attitude. So you must expect that when you visit. The atmosphere is great; it would be a perfect place to gather for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc., but the food is nothing exceptional. No menus are handed to you; they are on chalkboards visible from all angles in the restaurant. And the menu is basically chicken, steak, ribs, a couple seafood items including fried shrimp, and that's about it. I also didn't like the fact that the beers came in only 12 oz. bottle and 32 oz. large servings, with what I felt was a wide pricing gap between the two. It was still a memorable visit to Dick's, with my wife stating that it should expand to St. Louis.

We loved our crappy service. Our server could have actually been more of a jerk and we would have been fine with it. Our food was cooked to our liking, the wings were really good, drinks never ran empty, good service. Our server was fun. We will probably go back in the future. Maybe the server will give the boys heck when we go back! :P

Great Margaritas here ... food is average US fare - sandwiches, burgers etc - nothing fancy. Is only a stone's throw from Dealey Plaza so convenient if you're visiting the JFK Museum at the Sixth Floor Texas Schoolbook Depository.

On our way to the American Airlines Center for a Mavs game, we stopped at Dick's to get drinks and some snacks. We just took the crabby balls and chips with salsa. Waiter seemed disappointed that we didn't order a full dinner and from then on he behaved quite rudely, including some bad jokes. Food was correct enough and well priced but 10 bucks for a local beer was quite excessive.

We definitely recommend Dick’s for a fun night out!!! ask for Victor! He’s the best dick around!! ;)

I had previously visited Dick's at 3 different locations, Boston, Orlando and Dallas so I knew that it was a live & spirited chain. However, this particular restaurant was a huge disappointment. And worst, I had about 10 people with me. So I was embarrassed. The initial waiter was not so bad, but the server who called out the food when she delivered it was rude, obnoxious and just simply needed to be fired. Two of the other waiters and door man were just as bad. The food was greasy, small portions in comparison to what they use to have and lacked flavor. All in all, it was the worst meal we had of the trip. Everyone complained about the experience, including the people who sat at the table next to ours. We both were so disgusted with the service and food. We spoke to the manager, but that was like talking to a old frat boy. He thought it was funny and took a tone as if he was blaming us for coming. At that point I knew that our grievance was falling on deaf ears. I told him that I'd be reporting this terrible experience here. So that bottom line is stay away from this place. You'd do better going to McDonalds.

Nice place for lunch and a drink located inbetween West End District and the W Hotel victory. Service was great, food was good, servers were friendly with a variety of visitors!

They live up to their reputation. Just not sure if I am willing to pay someone to be extremely rude to me. I will not be a repeat visitor, but to each their own.
It is possible to enjoy the experience & service, alas, we only enjoyed the experience
On a weekend getaway, we decided to visit Dick's for dinner. There was nearly an hour wait (shame on us for not planning ahead) and we decided to wait it out. I tried to get a beer and that took nearly 20 minutes (even though the bar wasn't packed). For dinner, the server was slow and didn't seem to be able to multi-task. The food we ordered came out quickly and was solid (the ribs seemed to be over-cooked). It then took time for me to get another beer, then the check, then the to-go boxes. It was a good time & solid food...would have been better with a better server.
