Dinner here was excellent along with super service- we ordered the pork dumplings, dumplings in spicy sauce and green beans with garlic. Everything was flavourful and delicious. Reservations are needed

DO NOT GO HERE. Just experienced what can only be described as "racist" behavoir by the hostess. Not sure if its their company policy.... Our group of 10 people (Asian) tried to go here on a Thursday morning at 11:00 am. There were only a few people sitting at the "Bar" area. In the restaurant, it was wide open. Hostess said give me 2 minutes to get your table ready. 15 minutes goes by...nothing has happened. We go up and ask what's going on...hostess says..oh the table is still being set up. We wait on the side....another large group of "white" people (8-10 people) goes up to the hostess and asks for a table....they get led inside right then and there.... Is there any excuse for this? Absolutely not...we have now been standing there for 20 minutes...and expect the hostess to come back and seat us...which does NOT happen. We tell the hostess never mind, cancel our table...to which she says. Sure.... Nothing else. We then give up and decide to eat at Pikes Chowder next door...which happened to be a great choice! Once again....DO NOT GO HERE and support this type of behavoir and actions. I will be posting this wherever I can to let everyone know!

One of the real tests for the best soup dumplings, or xiao lung bao, is whether or not the soup within the dumplings is included with the dumpling, which is eaten whole, not partially. Usually, my experience is that the dumpling pouch is breached, and the liquid is totally, or partially, lost. The enjoyment of traditional soup dumplings is savoring the filling, soup, and covering in one bite. The major downside to coming here or any Din Tai Fung restos is the long, long wait for a table.

They have an abundance of great dumpling options. You can watch them make them as you wait also. The line to this place can get crazy FYI.

Every time I’m in Seattle, I have to get my soup dumplings from this place. My favorite soup dumpling of all time. I’ve had them at other places, and no one beats the freshness and flavor of this place.

You already get the dumpling craving while standing in line and watching staff preparing the dumplings. They are GREAT! Enjoy the widest variety possible - they are all good.

I got into Seattle at dinner time, so by the time I got settled in, I was famished. I wandered around downtown, and then just decided to look at a map and see what restaurants popped up. The photos looked good, and I was a block away, so I chose this place. I was a bit hesitant, because I realized that I was in a mall! But the long line at some time after 8pm gave a clue that it might be good. There was a seat at the bar for 1 person. I ordered 2 items that I thought I could manage on my own. Really tasty. Waiter was super friendly. He told me that it was a chain...uh oh! But it was still very good!

Din Tai Fung is one of my favorite fancy chain restaurants, and this location is great. I was really pleased that there were plenty of seats in the bar area for a walk-up diners at lunch time on a Sunday. The service was great, as always. Very attentive team approach to serving. The food was delicious, as always. Perfect textures and flavors on the cucumber salad, soup dumplings, and garlic green beans. It is a bit pricey, but I definitely believe it's worth it.

They are in a building that’s being renovated but it’s not stopping the huge amount of people who come here for dinner. I’ve been to Din Tai Fung in Singapore, Australia and two other locations in the United States. The dumplings and buns are always excellent. Whenever I go to a new city, I always look for a Din Tai Fung. Urge you to get to the restaurant by 6:00PM or you will be waiting 20-30 minutes.

I have never had dim sum and the whole experience was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The ordering process is a little confusing since it is unlike any other restaurant and the side dishes are huge (you can’t get just a little bit of rice on the side). There was a long wait and the dishes come out as they are prepared rather than all together (I recommend sharing everything). Overall, it was superb. The wait staff was friendly. Food was high quality and delicious. Illustrations on the table show you exactly how to eat the XiaoLongBao, dumplings I highly recommend. I will definitely be eating more dim sum.

The hotelier recommended we have dinner at Din Thai Fung and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Seattle. It was difficult to find, on the 4th Floor in a desolate shopping mall but was worth persevering. The bao buns were delightful. So much so that we even had chocolate ones for desert. OMG they were a delicious explosion of yumminess. Faultless service and a great buzz added to the lovely dining experience. Will look out for this chain for sure!

We loved Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong so much that we sought them out when in Seattle. Delicious dumplings, great service. The wait can be long, so get yourself on their waitlist via Yelp and avoid the line.

The wait was exceptionally long for a limited selection of average dim sum. Nothing exceptional. I haven't eaten at many dim sum places in Seattle (usually Portland & San Francisco), but next time I will try someplace new rather than going. Service was average.

Well, if you cannot fly to Taiwan to eat at the original Din Tai Fung in Taipei, the only chances in the pacific northwest of the US are those branches in Seattle. The quality, the taste, and the authenticity of making food as an art are reasons that make Din Tai Fung standing out from other dumplings restaurant. From the moment you walked up to the restaurant, you see the gigantic glass-walled kitchen right in front of you, with staff members rolling dough, making skins and fillings, and wrapping up the dumplings in a meticulously precise way. Each dumpling has 18 folds on its skin and weights exactly 21 gm. Then it comes to the taste. I personally love the pork dumplings the best. It's juicy, meaty, and flavorful. But basically every dumpling on the menu tastes equivalently good. There are also a lot of varieties of leafy vegetable that you can't get it anywhere else. I highly recommend trying Taiwanese cabbage and Chinese Mustard green. The former is crunchy and sweet, while the latter has a slightly bitter taste but it balances very well with ginger and garlic. Finally, the wait time. Yes there is guaranteed a line if you come here during lunch or dinner hours. But it's worth it. The receptionists do a good job to move people along. Once you are seated, the service is quick and good. Thumb up, Din Tai Fung!

The menu is evolving with new dishes in the menu. They serve a crispy line of dumpling that remain super soft in the inside. Service is very professional, serving meals regularly It is a bit noisy

My friends and I ordered broccoli with garlic, brown rice, and a few types of dumplings. The waitstaff suggested cleansing our palates before eating the truffle dumplings, and they were delicious. I also had a lychee mojito, which I enjoyed.

This is my second Din Tai Fung in the US after the one in Orange County. I'm so impressed with the consistency across all locations. I ate here with a large group on a Friday night and didn't have to wait too long. We had a table upstairs and had great food. The spicy won tons and the sesame noodles are my favorite behind the xiao long bao. You won't be disappointed.

Got takeout. Ordered online with door dash should have called it in. It’s on the 4 floor of the pacific place. Shrimp pork shao mai was not my favorite. The others were outstanding! The bokchoy was great and the green beans. For dessert we got the chocolate truffle mochi, highly recommend them. They are on the rich side and I could only eat two. They texted me back and when order was done picked up out front quickly and easy.

Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed. Everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the garlic green beans, they were cooked to perfection. You can watch them making dumplings in the window. Our server Madison was fantastic and very helpful for first timers in pointing out the specialties of the house and her personal favorites.

The broth filled bao were just the best I have ever had. I also had the cucumber salad that was actually the best thing I tasted that day!

Extremely great food. I cannot get enough. Some of the best dumplings I've ever had. If only there was one of these restaurants in NYC! Very very expensive, small portions, but so amazingly good. A must go.

Located on a higher floor in a half empty Pacific Place Mall (part of the desolate downtown Seattle experience) - however once you find it along with everyone else its all worth it. Fabulous atmosphere and space, bustling with business and people. We knew this Taiwan chain from living in Shanghai and loved it there for their famous dumplings. Able to have drinks at the bar while waiting for a table, not too expensive $14 cocktail and $12 glass of wine. Then it was dumpling time in the main restaurant, there are no bad ones, order them all. Also, those wood ear mushrooms and the cucumber salad such memorable flavours. Also added some noodles which we sure didn't need. Thank you, Richard P, for service and all the managers for such a place

Located inside a big shopping mall, this doesn’t seem like it would be that special, however, after being recommended by friends we checked it out. We loved it so much we went back again, even though we were on a short trip. It was well worth it and I highly recommend it. It was a large room, very festive and busy. And the food was outstanding. We tried lots of different things ‘tapas-style’ - food comes as it’s ready. The whole experience is very active and fun. I would definitely go back.

We love this restaurant! It is in a mall with difficult parking but don’t let that deter you. Incredibly fresh and delicious dim sum awaits you. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern and much nicer than you assume due to the location. Service is quick, friendly, attentive and helpful. They make the dim sum fresh on site. You can watch the restaurant staff preparing dumplings through a glass window in the front. We stop here at least once every summer when we are in town. It’s definitely something I crave when I am back home where there is only questionable Asian food available.

Ordered delivery which was fine - best part of dinner was the beautiful bag in which it was delivered! Main complaint is the price for 10 small dumplings which were just mediocre. The sauteed garlic kale was just ok but maybe I'm not a fan of kale so will give benefit of doubt there. Maybe things are better dining in-house but I blew my expense report with this one for average food.

The crab and pork soup dumplings were delicious. The server explained the menu and shared some options that were popular.

Visited this location based on a recommendation from a family member. We typically like unique locations to the area, although this is a chain restaurant it is not something located in the east coast. We were very pleased with our meal. In particular we loved the truffle xiao long baos! Nice balance of the truffle flavor and pork. I love a cucumber salad so had to have that and it did not disappoint, crisp and tangly. The spicy chicken wontons were tasty and looked spicy, but were not spicy at all! The shao mai were good but I didn’t care for the shrimp on top vs it incorporated into the filling. The tofu puff and glass noodle soup was recommended by the hostess as a comfort food and she was right! Lovely light chicken broth with tofu and glass noodles. Warm and filling. Overall we enjoyed our meal and can’t wait to go back when we have a chance!

My family and I were in Seattle for the first time and we love Asian food so we did a Google search for the number 1 Asian restaurant near our hotel and it came up with this place Din Tai Fung that was located inside the Westlake Mall. We had such a lovely experience and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend this place. For parties of 5 or less you can make reservations online and it is definitely wise to do so as the place is always busy.

Iconic dumplings! Always a delicious time. They have vegetarian options too so everyone can enjoy. I make this a go-to spot any time my travels take me to Seattle.

We loved this place!!! The food is amazing, great service—-so good we went there twice on our trip!! Highly recommend the spare rib appetizer and the chocolate dumpling dessert!!! It all was very good!!!

We were not really familiar with this type of food. Waiter was very helpful with recommendations. I heard other staff doing the same. Food was fresh and delicious. Make reservation.

Wow! My friend suggested this place and mentioned that it is a spin off of a Michelin star restaurant that is famous for the soup dumplings. They did not disappoint- at all! We also had another type of dumpling, and sautéed boo choy- all delicious. The wait can be lengthy so we opted to sit at the bar. There is a list for that as well, but the wait was far shorter.

I was surprised when I see the name on the top of the building...I have been in this restaurant once in Singapore and I wasn't aware I could find one in the US. If you want to try all sort of dumplings and Asian food you must go and have a great time.

Great food made for a great dinner! Visited with a vegan and there were plenty of options for them. The mushroom dumplings are great as are the green beans and the bok-choy. There was a huge line when we got there and had a little wait but the line moved fast and the restaurant was extremely efficient.

This locale has nice miden aesthetics, but the niceness of the establishment doesn’t fully translate to the dim sum. The pork dim sum lacks soup and flavor. Same as the rest of the dim sum dumplings served at this place. They are a bit on the dry side. One item that was of great flavor, was the rice cake shrimp.

A great place to grab a causal bite to eat with family or friends. Din Tai Fung is located on the second floor of the struggling Westlake Mall - but dont be put off by that. Inside the restaurant there's a nice modern feel with a big bar and plenty of comfortable seating. Great place to grab a bunch of plates to pass around and enjoy their asian fusion offerings - a favorite plate was the Kimchi and Pork Dumplings. If you're staying in they city by the Amazon campus, this is an easy, delicious place to eat.

We were visiting from Sydney Australia and looking for some good Chinese food. This place was awesome! The food was so fresh and yum and the staff were attentive to my allergies. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend eating here. We had 1) vegetarian fried rice 2) black pepper beef 3) chicken dumplings

Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese chain with stores in several countries, but in the U.S. just a handful of stores on the West Coast. I first tried it in Shanghai and loved their Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings). Visiting this location in Seattle, I found that their soups are also worth a trip.

It is a fun vibe What good food. The sweet taro XLB was good, the spicy wontons were amazing., The chicken soup dumplings were good as well

We tried so many dimsum in our lives, in different countries. This restaurant was so crowded during dinner time. The service, however, was quite professional, quick with friendly staff. The food quality was good but not exceptional. In overall, it was a nice experience to us.

Heard from a friend she always goes here when in Seattle just for the dumplings. They were good but we liked the soups and fried noodles better. Portions were generous and the service was exceptional.

Great Wonton Soup! I would definitely go again! Great service the food comes fast. It is worth waiting in line! I definitely recommend it!

This location in downtown Seattle is famous, but the food is just average and the wait can be very long. We waited over an hour to sit and then the food was just OK. There are better places, even the Din Tai Fung location in Bellevue.

We have bin to Din Tai Fung in Singapore and this was a great reminder of how good that was! This was an outstanding lunch with very good service. I liked the soup dumplings the most. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed the cabbage as well! The one challenge here was the thigh ceiling and cement style created a very loud room. It was hard to hear people at our table. Otherwise, this was a wonderful meal.

Walked up without a reservation and were seated within ten minutes. Food and service were outstanding - as others have noted, the garlic green beans are beyond delicious. We also had the pot stickers and specialty bao - very happy tummies!

It all began badly; from the start it was so regimented. The personnel had a strict protocol and, by golly, no exceptions. We wanted the booth next to ours, but after looking scared and towards some manager in the distance said we could not have it even though it was not occupied for a long time. The menu was without adequate explanation. You had to fill out an order sheet to get your dinner. I am giving 1 star for our helpful waiter and one star for the sweet and sour soup. The rest was a zero star disappointment. The "music" was only heavy bass thumping and assaulted the ears adding to the cacophony of loud noise. Too noisy, food mediocre, condiments basically nonexistant. The food was dry, dry, dry. The sake is served cold! No sauces to wet food up a bit. You just had to choke it down. It was way too expensive. We spent $150 plus! It is a poor excuse of an asian restaurant. The food and atmosphere was school cafeteria level.

We had a party of 5 and had a small wait on a Saturday. Even though this place is in a mall, it was very busy. Also, the restaurant won't seat your party unless everyone is there. We ordered several dishes to try. Everything was delicious especially the dumplings and rice cakes. Service was also very good.

We walked into the mall took the escalator up to four and were able to get the last table at lunchtime. We circled items on the menu that we wanted and they came to the table. Service was exceptional and the restaurant is clean and modern and beautiful. We started by sharing the sweet-and-sour pork baby back spareribs which were delicious. The Jidiri Chicken and dumplings and the shrimp and Kurobota wontons in a house spicy sauce work excellent as well. We ate every drop I can’t wait to come back again. Please open a branch on the East Coast!

My wife had been here before and really enjoyed her meal so on our way to the airport stopped in for a preflight meal. The restaurant is very nice and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed watching them make the dumplings as we were waiting to be seated. Being my first time I was impressed with the online menu and how they explained the proper way to eat the dumplings in text format and video. The food came out quickly and tasted great. My only issue is that it seemed a little pricey... for the 3 of us it came out to $70. I enjoyed the experience, but don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Very good experience. Service attentive, not pushy. Food was very good. While a little pricey, it was very good experience.

Always busy but worth waiting! Good: juicy pork dumplings and garlic string beans! New discovery was chicken and rice cake. Our server, Paige, did a great job serving many hungry people in our table. Bad: no reservation.

We stopped for dinner on a Saturday night. We had a 40 minute wait, but it was worth it. The pork xiao bao dumplings are amazing (we had 3 orders!). Also enjoyed the pork & shrimp shumai, the cucumbers and the bok choy. Service was attentive. Can’t wait to return!

The chicken soup is to die for. The four adults and two kids finished five trays of pork XlB @ 10 each tray. The stir fried noodle is very good. Steam fry dumplings are very popular as well

I miss xiao long bao since i left Singapore. And they dont have this in Florida. Hence when we went to Seattle, I had to bring the whole family to let them try the famous Xiao Long Bao. I lived in Singapore for more tham a decade.

I just had lunch here with my wife. It's all dim sum, which I love. I would have preferred the cart approach where one can see and smell the dishes as they are wheeled by, but I had to settle for looking at photos on my phone instead. The food was pretty good, if somewhat limited in variety. Their claim to fame is soup dumplings, and they were competently made - no leaks. The baby bok choy was very good. Five small plates and two teas with tax and tip ran $130, which I thought was pretty poor price/performance. Also, while the decor was nice I found it somewhat noisy which gave it a fast-food feel. The university location has better ambience - but it usually has a longer line.

Heard good things about this restaurant so decided to take my girls for lunch. We ordered four kind of dumplings and other dishes, we were surprised of how big the portions were, although it was a lot of food we finished everything, it was delicious! I'm not giving 5 stars because I asked for a new glass for my water (accidentally we drop food in it) and never got it. besides that, I totally recommend this restaurant!

Our family has dined at Din Tai Fung twice now. Once in San Diego and most recently in Seattle. Staff were friendly each visit, helpful in explaining the menu and efficient in getting orders out in a timely manner. The setting is nice for families and groups of friends alike. The food is good for a chain restaurant. We sampled a number of dishes as we love soup dumplings but also understand not all soup dumplings are created equal. We enjoyed the String Beans with Garlic, Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Pot Stickers and the Shanghai Rice Cakes with Shrimp. We tried the Sticky Rice Shao Mai with Kurobuta Pork & Mushroom, the Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Dumplings and the Vegan Dumplings but will not order in the future. Some may like the last three dishes to add more options to the meal but we would prefer to order more soup dumplings (xiao long Bao) instead of having a variety of dumplings to share. I would recommend making a reservation as it can become crowded quickly at peak lunch and dinner times. We will definitely dine again in the future when visiting a city that has a Din Tai Fung location.

The dumplings were so delicious as was the garlic green beans and the fried pork chop fried rice. Even the desert mochi dumplings were amazing. My son who is a truly picky eater gobbled up everything!!! it is pretty pricey but the restaurant is bright, clean and not very noisy like many other dumpling houses elsewhere. Our server was great, she gave us awesome recommendations. We'd definitely go back again.

Do not let the fact the restaurant is at the top of a mall fool you. This place is incredible! Served family style we were able to have a great variety of the menu. Having a vegitiarian at our table there was plenty to choose from for all. One of the biggest hits was the Kurobuta Pork Buns. We ended up having to order more for the table. You could not go wrong with any of the soup dumplings as well. The only item that I personally found to be ok was the Chicken dumplings but others seemed to really enjoy them. The service was spot on and on the next trip this will be a stop!

Often a line up but worth it. Classic soup dumplings are very good. Cod dumplings were ok- a little too fishy to want 10 in one order. Fried noodles are excellent. Definitely go back. Service is quick.

Who knew that a Taiwanese restaurant with a melting pot staff would score my first 5 star? The experience was highly unexpected. Found the service and food to be above average. It is Chinese and dim sum. Just slightly different from Cantonese. Was there for Sunday late lunch and was about to walk on an over an hour wait when I was referred to the bar. Now I understand why some eat at the bar. The floor staff lived and breathed as one. I've seen floor staff teams before and it wasn't notable. Here, the hostess, bus, and waitresses worked so well I didn't even notice or see a need for a super or a manager presence. There was service throughout my entire experience. The food was as expected or even exceeded its pictures. Had noodle soup and dim sum. The braised beef noodle soup was stellar. The beef was silk to the bite. It is upscale. They do have a liquor license. You will be able to pair with the beverage of your choice.

Food quality has changed and not for the better. Bland, tasteless fare. Steamed buns had pre-shaped meat filling that had no flavor and very bland taste and looked like it was previously frozen and stuffed into a bun dough. Service was excellent, friendly staff. Entering restaurant had a strong ‘fishy’ smell. It was a little pricey, but servings were adequate. Missed some of our order but we were not charged. This is our third visit, last was previous to the Pandemic and food was much better than this visit. Not sure if we will return.

First time ever having soup dumplings and they did not disappoint! Also the sweet taro bun was phenomenal. Was definitely worth the wait! A lot of people were there and it was a very good experience!!

The food, staff, and service at Din Tai Fung is very good but the meals can be a bit pricey. Overall, this restaurant is a must try for anyone who likes Dim Sum!

Well worth the wait. Great variety and good value. Highly recommend the green beans and a variety of entrees.

We love Asian food, and have plenty of great places for it in the Atlanta area. However, we wanted to try something new while we were in Seattle. We chose this place based on the TA reviews, and it did not disappoint. Plus it was close to our hotel. First thing to know is that it is a little difficult to find; it's on one of the upper floors of a downtown shopping center. I also recommend that you look over the menu before you go, as it may not be what you're used to in Asian food. Our waitress, Lilian, was great. She explained the menu to us and made recommendations based on what we liked. I have traveled in China, so she was able to relate her recommendations to that. And, based on that experience, we decided to order a multitude of smaller items. Namely, the cucumber salad as an opener, the bok choy as a veggie (be sure to order it with garlic if that's your preference), Pork & crab XiaoLongBao and Shrimp-based Wontons as our heavier dishes. All were delicious. It ain't cheap, but nothing in downtown Seattle is. But one of the things we enjoyed most was the fact that the staff, as well as most of the clients, were young. I'm a teacher, so I love young people, and they did a great job covering us on a packed Thursday night. They educated us, took care of us, and we'll never forget the quality of the experience. Order some local brews while you're at it; they have one custom made for the establishment.

The food was terrific! Light and tasty, not heavy and greasy. Previously dined at the Din Tai Fung in Hongkong and was very happy to find the downtown Seattle location. They don't take reservations and the lines can be long, but definitely worth the wait.

As always Din does a great job, everything was delivered fast and fresh, service was good and friendly one of the best Cucumber salads we’ve had.

Still has the best Soup Dumplings we have found, the Black Truffles. Cucumber salad rocks! Haven't found a bad dish This is a must visit location. Pictured, Pit stickers

Came here with my sister who has an aversion to chain restaurants, but this was different. The XiaoLongBao dumplings are just amazing. Each one has meat and a little bit of broth. You literally pop the whole thing in your mouth and chew. Just wait a minute or too so they are not too hot. We had the pork ones (2 orders). Just fabulous. Also ordered the Cod dumplings (taste like fish, so if you are not OK with that, do not order) and the Vegetarian Fried Noodles. Everything was just great. Four of us, each with a drink and the total was under $100. Not bad. There was a bit of a line when we got there at 2PM on a Monday, but apparently there is always a line. We did not have to wait very long at all to get seated. Would certainly return as there is so much more on the menu to try.

We ordered so much food and ate them all! It’s that good! That Simple!! The xiao longbao was excellent! The rice cake, spareribs, pork chops fried rice, green beans, seaweed and bean curd cold dish...

Zhao Long Bow & pot stickers soo good! Server was awesome! Very long wait (1 hour at 4:10 on Saturday), get reservations!! Good charging stations & tables in Westlake Mall (go down a level, or to basement) if waiting.

We’ve been to Din Tai Fung in Taiwan, Singapore and Osaka (Japan) and wanted to see what the US version is like. The restaurant itself is similar with a window on the cooks making the dumplings along with wood and glass on the exterior. This one has a bar area which is different than in other countries. The menu is quite similar, though, with dumplings, various greens and buns. One difference is that the US version has more noodle and Chinese-ish dishes. We tried the vegetarian (they call them vegan), chicken and xiao long bao (pork) dumplings, mustard greens, the cucumber salad and the taro dumplings for desert. They were much like what we’ve had in other countries though just not quite as good. We were happy with our meal, though, and found it pretty good for the US.

Delicious food and quick service via their online ordering. The soup dumplings were absolutely delicious and the steamed buns hit the spot!

Excellent quality of dumplings, especially the soup dumpling that have a very fine dough and are so tasty. Love the crab and pork soup dumplings. Service is great and helpful. Din Tai Fung really deserves their reputation as dim sum emperor.

We were on vacation in Seattle and met a couple who recommended this place to us as a “must go” while you’re here. And I couldn’t agree more! It’s on the top floor of a mall that’s being renovated, but don’t let that fool you. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was nice and the service was great. We went on a Thursday night around 7pm and it was packed. We had to wait about 45min to an hour but it was worth it! I wish they had one of these on the East Coast.

Went there for dinner with family. Even though it was crowded, we were seated quickly. Service was good as drink and food orders taken quickly. Food also came quickly and we were a bit disappointed. Even though this is Taiwanese food, it is advertised as Chinese food. While none of the dishes were bad, none of them stood out either. Would not recommend.

Go early if you want a seat. The Xia Long Bao is delicious - and basically the only dish that I find worth the crazy effort to get a seat. The garlic green beans are good too but compared to Din Tai Fungs in other countries - there is a lack of food selection. My service was good, no complaints. Will go again.

If you like all thing dumplings- this is the place! We’ve ordered soup dumplings ( to die for) and mushroom dumplings was the best we’ve ever tried. Other dishes included pork fried rice and steam buns were authentic. Highly recommend!

Delicious food! Great service. Very juicy soup dumplings. We had the fried rice and spicy wontons as well-delicious! Highly recommend.

We are huge fans of this location. Been to the one in Vegas and it is not as good. This is a popular place, so make reservations or you'll wait for a long time. This is on the top floor of Pacific Place on Pine Street. The service is good, but the food will blow your mind. This place has a family atmosphere and the food comes out as the kitchen prepares it, so not all dishes come out at once. What to order? Close your eyes and point to the menu and you wont go wrong. All is great here. Excellent place for families...

Din Tai Fung at Pacific Place proves once again why this brand has such a loyal following. The space is impressively large, yet everything is dialed in: seating, pacing, service, and the steady rhythm of steaming baskets landing on tables. The Xiao Long Bao remains the star, with delicate skins, rich broth, and clean, balanced flavor. But the menu doesn’t stop there. A wide array of other Chinese dishes keeps the experience fun and varied, and the dim sum–style tick-sheet ordering makes it dangerously easy to keep adding “just one more round.” Service is quick, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. Dishes come out at a smooth, consistent pace, and even with the size of the dining room, the team manages to make the experience feel attentive rather than rushed. Yes, Din Tai Fung is a chain. And yes, it’s absolutely worth your time. No matter the location, go—try it, enjoy it, and don’t look back.

Amazing spot here for Baos!!! My family and I came here to try it out, and it was amazing! Tons of great bao selections, and great noodle options. They all taste amazing and the location is great. Really cool atmosphere, I highly recommend making a reservation online as line ups get crazy! Definitely worth a try and I'm sure you will be coming back for more! The XLB is great, black sesame bao is great too!

Glad 1 friend had been before. She knew how and what to order. Yeah! The food was all good, interesting and fun. The platters were delivered 1 or 2 at a time. Funny how long the line was outside the restaurant and when you get inside, it’s huge and they could have easily seated everyone. Maybe it makes it look like a mega popular place with the line? I would go again.

Great experience for service, arrived in Seattle thought we will try it for the first time! We arrived around 3pm it wasn’t busy, the greeter at the door was so was disinterested, to be honest, rather unfriendly, however our sever May was spot on, she was warm, friendly and bubbly, she was the highlight of our visit! 1/ sticky rice wrap, it wasn’t very nice, I would not order it again, as it was rather watery 2/ Shao Long Bao- what a disappointment, it was dry and no soup inside, damaging the name for Ding Tai Fung. 3/ the chicken soup was great, very nice and tasty!

I went for lunch and was not disappointed. My advice - arrive early as it is incredibly popular. You can watch their extraordinary dumplings being made through a glass window on the kitchen. I had an entree Pork Baby Back Ribs and then the Shrimp Fried Rice. I will always return for the Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Dumplings which were superb. Highly recommended.

While the food is good and dumplings and bao galore we thought the wait meant it was awesome. Felt it was rushed as they tried to get people in and out.

Excellent dumplings. This was recommended by a tour guide and we were very happy with it. Hip decor. Interesting drink menu. Pork buns, chicken and vege dumplings and garlic green beans. A perfect dinner in my opinion.

Well-coordinated diner waiting; clean and spacious dining space; elegant and soothing dining ambience; personable and attentive servers. Ideally, Xiao Long Bao needs to be served steaming-hot in order to retain it taste. The Xiao Long Bao we were served was too lukewarm to taste good. Also, each individual piece of Xiao Long Bao needs to be filled with meat juice which helps enhance its taste. The Xiao Long Bao we were served contained little juice. Xiao Long Bao with pork or crab stuffing alone tastes much better than with pork and crab mixed together because these two ingredients do not blend well and do not enhance each other's taste. The fried rice should not contain shreds of cabbage leaves because they contain too much moisture which makes the rice too mushy and less tasty. Overall, significant culinary adjustment and refinement are needed to enhance the taste of Xiao Long Bao and fried rice.

We checked this out in our visit to Seattle because my kids have eaten in their branches in Manila and London. It is definitely a place to eat in. Food is refreshingly light and filling at the same time. A must try is their famous dumplings with soup inside and their iced honey tea. It gets full so make a reservation or go early to get in.

This Taiwanese restaurant chain serves the best xiao long bao in the area place is extremely busy but you don't feel crowded service is good

The food and service here is quite good. In fact, with regard to food and service, I give them a 5 out of 5. The only reason thDin Tai Fung doesn’t get a 5 over all is due to the prearranged menu and portions. They serve EVERYTHING family style. So if you want individual portions like you get at most restaurants, you’re out of luck unless you just want a bowl of rice—then you can get an individual portion. So, if you want a couple of potstickers, plan on eating 10. If you want dumplings, plan on eating 10. But everything tastes amazing!!

Absolutely delicious!! Dumplings are amazing - especially the cod dumplings. People and staff are so friendly. Definitely worth it!!

This is a restaurant in a mall, a la PF Chang’s. The food is delicious but it’s very “smart casual.” Not a family dumpling shop.

We love Chinese food and especially favor dim sum. When I discovered Din Tai Fung with such favorable reviews and was close to our hotel we just had to go!!! Had reservation, seated after short wait but server was very slow to get to our table which was adjacent to the kitchen door on second floor!!!Not a good start but was looking forward to dim sum. We ordered 3 different dishes (shrimp and Kurobuta pork dumplings, vegetable and pork dumplings and Kurobuta pork buns). The dumplings were delicious but the pork buns were much different than what we know as tradional pork buns--these did not have the sweet taste but rather a large glob of pork in the center that had little flavor. Lastly, service remained slow throughout the meal but in their defense, the place was mobbed and quite noisy!

Despicable. We arrived exactly at 9:30 and they refused to seat us even though they’re open until 10. We called ahead and told them that we are coming in seven minutes and they said that’s fine but we stop seating at 9:30. And at 9:30 they refused to give us a table.

We originally went to Din Tai Fung in Taiwan and fell in love with it there and have now been to a few of them in the United States. This place has amazing food, you can't go wrong with anything you order but they are known for their dumplings. I would recommend purchasing more of the dumplings and buns and fewer of the noodle dishes. The food is ordered to share with the table which allows you to try more options. This is a place we dream about going to any time we are in a city that has one.

Great to find this chain here. Loved the different dumplings. Similar quality to other branches we’ve tried in Singapore and Australia with an American twist. Mushroom appetizer was interesting with earthy woodsy flavors and smoke. Kimchi dumplings were spicy as expected but overall well balanced. “Soup” dumplings all time favorite and kids loved them and had 3 orders of them alone .

I'll start with the good part. The food is goodl. Which is about the most important thing when you are eating, so this is why I gave it 2 stars, not one. First, it is very busy and popular. We had to wait 48 minutes for a table, despite them telling us (and putting it on our check in receipt) that it would only be 20-30 mins. So then we went to their bar, to get a drink first, we ordered, then we got told by a waitress that a member of our party was standing in the wrong place, and had to move to the other side of the bar. He moved, then another waitress came and scolded him for being where he was, telling him to move back to where he originally was. When we called out that he was there before and that a colleague of hers asked him to move, she was rude and unfriendly. The place was a mess. We got a table after 48 minutes, then it took them another 20 mins to actually take our order. To their credit, after ordering, food came fast. But they forgot one item we ordered. All in all, service was absolutely atrocious and I'd have walked away if I hadn't been with a group that insisted on staying. As I said, food was nice, but there is a lot of nice food in seattle and this one was certainly not worth an hour of hassle.

Din Tai Fung in Seattle is a pretty average experience. As expected it was busy at 530pm but the reservation attendant was on auto pilot and not really listening to our reservation request. We were seated upstairs and ordered pork ribs which while served cold we sweet and tasty. The pork and rice dumpling was bland, as was the steamed pork bun. The pork lacked flavour which you can add with the dipping sauce. Our waiter was pretty good and the bill was reasonable but it wasn’t a standout.

The standard is as high as the one in Los Angeles (Glendale). You better book in advance as the line is pretty long. Service is perfect. Food is great and nicely displayed. Dishes will come at the right time. Dumplings are their specialty and you can get other dishes

Very very good place. Excellent food and service. Was a little too cold in the restaurant but otherwise no complaints. Stumbled on it in a mall. This food is art

We are not experts in Chinese and oriental cuisine and most of the dishes served at this restaurant were not just good but also new for us. I would recommend having lunch or dinner here while visito downtown or the pacific place, the ambiance is entertaining and the cuisine different to most other Chinese or Asian restaurants and very tasty, our only recommendation would be to have the front hostesses smile and be more friendly.

Modern restaurant with great food. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were great, as were the spicy pork dumplings. We also had hot and sour soup and noodles. All very good.

This place is legit! Seriously, if you want good and authentic dumplings, this is the place to go! Be prepared to have a pretty long wait time if you go during meal times, but we thought it was worth it! Now, I couldn’t partake in the dumplings because they’re not gluten free, but my family all said they were amazing! Actually, the only reason why they aren’t getting a 5/5 is because they don’t have many options for gluten free meals. I had the chicken fried rice and a side of green beans, and it tasted good, but it’s obvious that’s not the main thing they’re making (it was a bit bland, which was disappointing as that was my only meal). Overall, I think they could invest in 1 or 2 really solid gluten free dishes, which would help out a whole community of people!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge and was quite good. It is odd that it's in a mall, but don't let that dissuade you. We tried several dishes (don't remember them all at this point) and all were very good. The food was less authentic and much more expensive than that we had in Chinatown/International District. Overall, it was a good lunch option.

Great atmosphere, service, and food. We sampled the garlic green beans, spicy wontons, pork buns, and chicken fried noodles. Easily one of the top five Chinese meals of our travel lives! Located on the 4th floor of an indoor shopping/movie complex, 1 block away from the Light Rail station.

This is a very busy restaurant. But I still want to go cause all the food is yummy. I highly recommend the shaved ice dessert. You must try .... Please remember booked the table before you go.

If you are looking for a dining experience that combines exceptional quality with a modern twist on classic dim sum, Din Tai Fung is the place to be. I was utterly impressed by the unbeatable quality of their Xiao Long Bao. My husband and I also savored the Sauteed Kale and Garlic, Tofu Puff & Glass Noodle Soup, and Kurobuta Pork Sticky Rice Wrap. Each dish was a unique and delightful culinary adventure, surpassing the dim sum we have tried in San Francisco. The drink menu is equally impressive; the Pear Lychee Martini is an absolute must-try. For dessert, the Chocolate Xiao Long Bao was a delightful surprise, perfectly capping off our meal. The service at Din Tai Fung is top-notch, and the atmosphere is both vibrant and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I would return to Seattle just to dine here again. Five stars all the way!

My daughter and I love going to DTF. Never disappoints and always hits the spot. We decided to enjoy our usual items before going to a concert. Service was swift but overall the acoustics in the restaurant left us unable to really talk or hear each other.

You come for the xiaolongbao but there’s more to enjoy. I love the Shanghai version of x-bao...far larger, thinner skin, more and more-flavorful soup - a tricky thing to maneuver with chopsticks to spoon without disaster, so some skill required. Taiwanese-chain DTF is the far more manageable variety, small and thick-skinned, they are a breeze to eat, but due to their small size there is little to be said for the soup. But all is not lost because there are spicy dumpling options to save the experience!

In a shopping mall on an upper level. Used my trusty Tripadvisor app and was not let down. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the dinner and surroundings.

We had shrimp fried rice, pork chop fried rice, chicken soup, taro steamed buns and boba milk tea. Every item was delicious. Will visit again when I am in the area.

This dumpling chain from taiwan needs no introduction. Besides the xiaolongbao, the noodles, fried rice and soups are good too 7/10

The food was absolutely top-notch and our server took a great care of us. He gave us suggestions of things we might want to try. Everything came hot and fresh with unbelievable flavors. We will definitely go here again.

So good we went back a second time during our two day stay in Seattle. You absolutely have to try the green beans. No kidding

Located upstairs in a shopping mall we never would have sought this place out but the concierge at our hotel recommended it so we went and were not disappointed. The best Chinese food I’ve had in years! We had the cucumber salad, green beans and two different types of dumplings. Everything was super delicious! The service was very friendly and fast! Don’t be put off by the wait time to get in- it’s worth it. Just go next door for a drink while you wait.

We had the soup dumplings, wonton soup and rice noodles. The service was efficient and the dishes were explained to us. The food is served attractively and is well prepared. The servings are on the small side and the prices are higher than I expected for a Chinese restaurant. However, the dishes are not your run of the mill Chinese food and are very tasty. All in all, a pleasant food experience,

We are here for lunch. Very good food and excellent service. Enough said. Waitress was very good at explaining the menu. Food is listed by popularity.

This place is located in downtown Seattle on the 4th floor of a mall. They make fresh dumplings on site and it’s always packed so come prepared to wait, unless you get a seat at the bar. My bartender/waiter was great, the cocktails were delish and the food was okay. Not sure if I ordered the wrong thing but with all the hype I was disappointed. Maybe ask the waiter for specifics on what to get because the sticky rice 7 pork shao mai dumplings and pork buns weren’t all that. I do recommend trying the spare ribs and I heard the green beans are good.

A little pricey but worth every penny in my opinion. Wife and I loved here and would visit again if in Seattle. Food was amazingly tasty. Great steamed and fried dumplings and noodle dishes. We loved the Pork and Shrimp streamed dumplings. I have eaten in Taiwan and this is on a par with the best food I eat there. Plates are small servings so order as many or as little as you want off the menu. Located on a floor in a theatre / Shopping Mall, which we did not realize initially when we tried to find it across from our downtown hotel.

Watching the dumplings being made really brought me back to Taiwan. I was so glad that they offer take-out and have great containers for all of the food, sauces, etc. The cucumber salad was good. The cod dumplings and the Kurobuta pork sticky rice were satisfactory, although I unfortunately had to wait 45 min even for take-out. I can't say they were worth standing for 45 minutes but they were good. I think next time I would stick to the Kurobuta pork dumplings. :) Please open a Din Tai Fung in Colorado Springs. ;)

This was so yummy, we don't have this kind of restaurant in Michigan that I know of. I love soup dumplings...I was there early in the evening and there were a lot of people getting seated. I sat in the bar area and it was very pleasant. The service was good, friendly and helpful. The server guided me in how to order and how to use the condiments...Everything was fresh and tasty, if I lived in town I would eat there a lot. It struck me as a super fun chain, (not sure if it is) with a fun unique theme and menu. You could see the cooks making the dumplings behind a window it was just so fun. I'm sure there are much finer places but this was in a small food court style space in a mall, near a movie theater, Totally unexpected and stylish and tasty. I would highly recommend.

I would head back tomorrow if I could. We did the pork and shrimp dumplings. The pork soup dumplings (which they are known for) and shrimp fried noodles. I’m still dreaming about them and all of the staff was so nice.

We arrived around noon and were told 20-30 minute wait. It ended up being more like 35-40 minutes but was well worth the wait. All of the food was delicious. They also have a great drink menu and my girls 8 and 12 had one fro dessert. Highly Recommend. It is a little hard to find and is located inside the mall. The temporary entrance is through Wish Toy Store. The signage outside is on the side of the building several stories up so not noticeable when walking on the street near building.

Great food at a Great price! The ordering system is a little strange, but once you get use to it it can be really fun. Service was a little lacking but the portion size and prices were so good I didn't mind the wait time for the server. If you do come here I think the dry dumplings are better than the soup dumplings. The Wonton soup was also amazing!

Several orders of dumplings and green beans were great. Same quality as other locations. We only ordered water at this location so can't comment on drinks. Service prompt and efficient. Location- 4th floor of shopping center. DTF is the Ebony busy place there so location feels a bit strange. Recommend reserving - otherwise an hour or more wait (if bar is full) on a Tuesday night.

I had not heard of this restaurant chain from Taiwan and was pleasantly surprised by the diversity, the quality and preparation of the food. Sister-in-Law, she is Chinese, was familiar with Din Tai Fung and with help from my Nephew ordered several dishes, all very, very good. Restaurant is well designed with adequate space between tables so that the noise level was not high, even though all tables were occupied. Decor upscale and modern.

Please treat yourself here!! We had dinner there and OMG... one of the best meals we've had in Seattle. We had dim sum for the first time and wow! All the dishes we had were amazing. Rich flavors in every dish we got. The cucumber salad was to die for and the green beans were amazing. The servers were very friendly and attentive and the place is modern and inviting. Excellent place to take the family. Make sure you call ahead and check on availability as this location is always full.

Everything about this place is first class - the decor, the POS system, the staff.... We got there on a Friday around noon. The waiting is 20 minutes. They take your phone number and text msg you when they are ready for you. We had braised beef noodle soup, XLB, chicken noodle soup and steamed prawn dumplings. The bill came out to be around $50. Everything came out good. They got this franchise down to a science. It is above the west lake subway station if you take the subway.

The vegetarian dumplings were very good and so was the broccoli. Main downside is the atmosphere, as the restaurant is very crowded and loud.

We have ate at a couple of these throughout the country and none have ever been disappointing. The dumplings are the best I’ve ever had. We have never had anything on the menu that was not great.

We waited for more than half an hour for a table even though we got there before 6pm on a Saturday. Frankly, the only good dish is the xiao long bao. Service was fast & polite.

I was told to make a stop here while in Seattle. A bit hesitant based on a mall location but I take a restaurant recommendation very seriously. Based on how busy it was- I knew it looked promising. FYI-They do not take reservations. When we arrived there was a line and the restaurant was packed. They sat us after a short wait. Very nice staff. Menu was a bit overwhelming but our waiter walked us through the “must have” dishes. Food was fantastic! So fresh and delicious. Order lots of dumplings and try the Nutella dumpling for desert. Yum!

The atmosphere is cold, lots of space, no 'blockers' so it seems you are sitting with everyone else. However, the food was great! Check out the people in the front window of this place, hand forming the thousands and thousands of delicious dumplings before your very eyes! The food was delicious, pork, shrimp, chicken, there are lots of names on this book of a menu, but basically the bulk of the menu consists of dumplings stuffed with something. Vegetarian Shanghai rice was great, noodle and minced pork, yes! The drink prices are exorbitant! One beer $7, Mango smoothie $5.75. DO NOT get a mixed drink here! My wife ordered a $10 "Lychee Mojito" one sip, and the drink was gone! Look at the ice in the picture, that's not an exaggeration, one single sip, $10!! That's what keeps this place from being a 5 star, prices are a rip-off. Six of us ate for $233.95, before tip.

We've been to Din Tai Fung in Taiwan, Australia, and Japan so we are big fans of their dumplings. The Seattle location was not as big or as crowded as these places but still had the same quality service and dumplings. The wontons and cabbage salad were also good. Good place to come but you may need to wait so prepare for the queue.

What a treat! The food is very fresh. It is served as it is prepared. Some of the best dumplings we’ve had...including ones eaten in China!

We've been here twice in three days. The advice from the service is very good and the service very attentive. They're a well-rehearsed team. Allergy and wishes are taken into consideration. The waiter pointed out to me that I cannot eat this from my husband because it has garlic in it. You know exactly what's in what, or sort it out. That's why we went to dinner twice. Typo. The different dishes we enjoyed very much.

A very cool location, good service, and the best soup dumplings I've ever had in my life. Reservations are recommended, but it's worth whatever wait you might have to endure.

My daughter and I ate in the Pacific Place mall. The food was delicious and wait staff very helpful. The mall, however, is a mess. Major construction/renovation. Difficult to find entrance.

The best place to eat plates of dim sum in Seattle. Amazing place. Each dish perfect. Come early or make a reservation. All the food, dumplings, bbq pork buns, etc, one dish after another was outstanding. You can even see them make the food.

Great food very helpful staff and prices weren't too bad. They have a huge menu with so many options and everything is so fresh. You can see the production kitchen through a large window and watch them making the dumplings

I was looking for a good dim sum restaurant in the area and saw the line sneaking out the door, so I thought that this place must be pretty good if it was so popular. The line moves quickly despite its length, and I was soon able to place my own order. I ordered steamed chicken/veggie dumplings and chicken fried rice, both of which were pretty good. Not utterly outstanding, but still really good. The food came out quickly and was hot, fresh, and filling. The staff were polite and moved quickly.

We came here after we saw a movie, and they let us in 1/2 an hour before closing. The service was fast but not rushed. The server was knowledgeable for the people that hadn't been there before and gave great recommendations. The soup dumplings were scrumptious. The person that hadn't been to good dim sum before, after this meal understood why dim sum can be addicting. The chocolate dessert was the perfect treat at the end of the meal.

Very busy restaurant based in Pacific Place shopping centre. The homemade dumplings were great and we loved the crunchy string beans with garlic. Service was average.

There is something very special about watching them make the Xiaolongbao (XLB) soup dumplings and then getting to eat them. OMG. Yum. I am craving them and upset they don't have any locations closer to home.

Real Chinese food, highlighting the Xiao Long Bao, some protein-filled rice pasta. It is worth following the chef's indication and consume with Shoyo mixed with vinegar

Food was good, but very pricy, as I was solo, I didn’t get a table. I was seated in a high chair at their bar area. The space was so tight I couldn’t eat properly, I will still go next time but would certainly consider takeout

The spicy chicken wontons and flash fried green beans were amazing. I had fantastic service and wished my stay in Seattle was longer so I could keep going back!

Amazing food 😋 great for tasting multiple small plates and nice drinks 🍸Located on the 4th floor of the shopping center.

Every dumpling we sampled was better than the last one! Pork and shrimp ones were my favorites. And even the dessert one was fabulous! Chocolate was perfect way to end the meal! We went with a small group and shared and tasted each basket. There was even entertainment with the way the waiter came out and delivered the baskets to each table. We will be back!!

We had Din Tai Fung Marketplace at the Climate Pledge Arena 2 days ago. What an Absolute disappointment! The rice is tasteless, the ribs taste like you poured a bottle of maple syrup over them and the chicken was old, dry and disgusting! Nothing more than a complete waste of money! They shouldn't even be allowed to operate in the Climate Pledge Arena

The place was very crowded, huge lines. The food was OK but most of the dishes consist of 10 dumplings (of the sane type) so if you do not have someone to share the meal with you don’t get to try several types.

Came for an early business dinner. We ordered a little bit of everything, and absolutely nothing disappointed, though the dumplings were the highlight of the night. Everything was hot and delicious and served very fast. I didn’t expect to find such a great place nestled in a shopping mall!

The food is very good and service is excellent. It's fairly expensive for chinese food and they don't take reservations. Can turn in to a long wait before getting seated.

Park at the Pacific Garrage and have dinner after walking to the Nordstrom mall. The restaurant don’t validate the ticket. You have to pay. Restaurant was great, I have been to multiple Din TAI FUNG.

Fantastic food off the beaten path, upstairs on the 4th floor of a mall. Get there early to secure a spot and watch the dumpling construction while you wait.

We've never been disappointed with the food, especially enjoying the dumplings and noodles. Everything is made to order and served hot, if not always quickly. Nice ambience and convenient.

We stopped in for dinner at 8pm and were told that the wait was 45 minutes to an hour for a table. We opted to wait 20 minutes for take out, and Michelle was very knowledgeable about the menu and kind. She helped us choose the steamed chicken dumplings and the shrimp fried noodles. The dumplings were amazing, and while the shrimp were good, the noodles were mediocre with little flavor. Overall, for the price of the food, I would opt for the dumplings only. PS The restaurant next door let us sit at a table since we bought drinks from them.

We stopped by for lunch on a recent Monday. We didn't have reservations, but made sure we arrived 15 minutes before opening. A line had already formed, but it was still short. The staff were very organized and managed the line well. After browsing the menu for several minutes, we ordered: crab and pork xiao long bao; sweet and sour pork ribs; shrimp and pork spicy won ton; cucumber salad; and chocolate and mochi xiao long bao; and a carafe of jasmine tea. The dishes were delivered quickly to our table. Each dish was delicious. My favorite was the spicy won ton, though the crab and pork xiao long bao was a close second. if you have room for desert, the chocolate and mochi xiao long bao is sublime. The portions look deceptively small; however, we left the restaurant very full and content. Our server was efficient, pleasant, and attentive throughout our meal. I've read the wait times during peak evening and weekend hours are long if you don't have a reservation. If you can time it, arrive before opening to be assured of a seat at this well known restaurant. Highly recommended.

The two of us had several apps, soups, won tons and Xiao Long Bao. All very good. Our server, John, was excellent- professional, friendly, personable and helpful. Prices were reasonable. Seating process for this very busy place was well organized. It’s a great place for all I mentioned- it’s not a place for a quiet romantic dinner. I will continue to go to their many locations whenever I am in an area with a venue.

This is an international chain so certain standards are maintained. We were here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and there was a 10 to 15 minute wait for a table but, no wait sitting at the bar and that's what we did. We ordered a basket of pork XLB, and one of chicken and a braised beef noodle soup. Flavors were well blended for everything. One thing not up to snuff was the XLB skin "knot" at the top of each dumpling - slightly too thick dough there resulted in hard texture.

I absolutely love Din Tai Fung and have been to locations in LA, Vegas, Dubai, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and more. On this occasion (my first to a Seattle location) the food was amazing and our server was great, but the manager(?) Colin was quite rude and condescending at the check-in desk and seemed more interested in closing the restaurant and going home for the evening than customer service and receiving business.

I've been to a few Din Tai Fung restaurants in China and it is somewhere I look forward to on a trip there. I was skeptical of how good in relation their US locations would be. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of my favorites on the menu here and even happier when I tasted the soup dumlings (pork) - they are SOoooo good. The only difference I noted is that they weren't as scalding hot as I've had previously. Note, there was a wait for a table at 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon but not too long and worth it.
Amazing place, must go!!
Amazing place, just like the original. Definelty try the soup dumplings and the spicy ones if you are into that! The only thing is that you need to get there early because it’s packed!
