Awesome food - Great fun and Fernet on tap!!

By SirNose |

This place is the coolest. Great mix of pub style atmosphere and amazing food. Crystina is a wonderful host and makes everyone feel like a neighbor and good friend. Can you believe they have Fernet Branca on tap!

Delicious Food, Great Service

By fgmoria |

My 86-year-old mother and I had the chance to experience the food and service in District One during our weekend trip to Las Vegas. We visited this place for lunch. We were fortunate that this happened a week before the city was shut down due to the spread of COVID-19, at a time when Las Vegas was still in its normal state and the restaurants were fully operational. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our requests were adequately addressed with smile (eg, asking for extra plate, peanut sauce, condensed milk, spoon and fork, etc). The menu was basically Vietnamese. My mother was picky when it came to non-Filipino food in general, but she enjoyed all the food that we ordered. We had the spring rolls for starter. The main dishes that we had included coconut pork belly and pho tom (shrimp pho). For dessert, we had both the coconut ice cream and pandan crème brulee. My mother had Vietnamese coffee with extra condensed milk for her drink. Overall we had a hearty, satisfying lunch, and we would definitely come back to try the other dishes when we revisit Las Vegas.

Not pho nominal

By rbrech |

OK pho at a relatively high price - found the broth a bit wan and lacking depth. cha gio were equally pedestrian, though I appreciated the mountain of herbs and pickled diakon and carrots to eat it with.

Decent food, not good service

By MjLivingston |

Had lunch here, wasnt that busy but the service could have been better, got the order wrong and forgot to bring our iced coffee. Food was good, although scallops were way overpriced - $17 for 4. Short rib combo platter was good but only the short ribs, rice was a little dry and the chinese sausage was not good. The gravy with oxtail was way to gelatinous, was a little weird and it was recommended by our server. Not sure if I will go back, price was a little high for the quality and service.

This was an awesome everything place. The food had major style. They had Vietnamese fusion menu items. I tried many things. The Big Bone soup was my favorite. They had rare beers and liquors. Seemed to specialize in Japanese whisky and beers. Great place to watch Sports. The staff was personable and charismatic.

great food, great staff! excellent service as always!

Great food, great staff! excellent service as always!we always come back here every time we're in town.

Garlic

By westie2 |

We started off with an order of beef and lemongrass wrapped betel leaves that was not what I expected based on the description, but very good. We also shared an order of 5 spice Cornish hen that was just legs and thighs that I upgraded to include garlic noodles. In addition we had an order of garlic vegetables to ward off aliens.

Viet beef carpaccio

Second visit and doesn't disappoint . Best appetizer I have ever had. Can't get enuf. Special note the restaurant opens 11am-3am. Others in plaza don't open till 5pm so beware

Classic Vietnamese in a very cool space

By herb v |

3 For dinner after too many hours on planes and in airports. Seated right away, very attentive and helpful staff. A few apps, including spicy edamame - with just the right flavor and some very good spring rolls. Garlic noodles for me, couple of different pho for dinner partners. More than enough to go around with very generous portions. No one left hungry. And plenty of Vegetarian choices - thank you Eclectic space - modern dive ambience. And even enough TVs to watch the last game of March Madness. Side note - they are located in a very tight strip mall - lots of traffic and parking is at a premium. Maybe better to just catch a cab or Lyft.

Great menu

By xuanlocdoc |

Vietnamese cuisine mixed with much more and off strip. Food was good and tasty. Portions were quite large....enough to feed two. Nice informal ambiance

Wonderful

By willtravelforfood86 |

I loved the spring rolls and the ox tail pho. Welcoming staff and great service at the bar. They have a great selection of whiskey. I will be back.

It's good, not GREAT!

By fanatictraveler |

A little better than average but for $39.99 ... Ummm not ... I rather go to Boston for twin lobster ! Much cheaper ... Much bigger ...and the broth was ok ... Nothing special in the broth to make it tastier than any other Vietnamese pho place ... The oxtail fried rice was extremely tasty ... It had that wok fragrant flavor which is usually only obtained by an experienced season chef! I'll order that again ... I wish I had a bigger stomach so that I can try some of the specials

Excellent food

By Chick777 |

We came on a busy Sunday and waited 30 minutes for a table but it was worth the wait. We wanted to try the famous lobster pho. We thought the broth would be fishy, but it was a rich pho broth with a hint of lobster flavor. We also had the yellowfin tacos, two orders of pork belly bao (both steamed and fried), ox tail fried rice, egg rolls, and papaya salad. Most of it was excellent. The steamed bao was much better than the fried. We found the fried too greasy. The egg rolls were subpar especially since everything else was so tasty. The papaya salad was fresh. The over easy egg on the rice was a nice touch. Indria was our server and was great. I accidentally ordered spring rolls thinking they were egg rolls (because we call spring rolls salad rolls where I'm from). She quickly brought out the correct ones. She was attentive and made excellent recommendations. We will be back again. A Lyft ride from the strip was $11. Worth it!

Worth Another Visit

By Cooking_Hawaiian |

I went to this place on recommendation. Two of the items that got my interest was the oxtail fried rice and the big bone soup. I didn't order the big bone soup, but ordered the oxtail fried rice, fish tacos and sausage spring rolls. I meant to order the crispy rolls with taro, but made a mistake. I was disappointed with the oxtail fried rice. Nothing special about it. The spring rolls were ok. What stood out for me were the fish tacos. They were really really good...the fish was more like a poke (raw) preparation and were delicious!! Should have ordered another one. Things to look forward to on my next visit: the big bone soup, the fish tacos again, the king crab and i'm sure I will find something else. Despite my low score, I am confident that when I return, the other items will be as delicious as the fish tacos that I ordered...this I am sure of. This place deserves a 3.5 and I am hoping to give them at least a 4 on my next visit.

Excellent Experience!!

By creolenag |

I Love District One! My husband and I frequent District One! We have tried many dishes there, and although we LOVE them all, we have a few favorites! Oxtail Pho! My husband's favorite! I must say I love it as well, always perfect! The meat is so tender, and the broth, well we just can't get enough, always asking for extra! The best in the City Lobster Pho! The whole lobster is in the bowl, it looks like it is taking a bath in the amazing broth! Outstanding Presentation! I love the shrimp! District One Sauce Med to Spicy! This one is a must with rice on the side, as you will want to sop up as much of this sauce as you can! The wings are phenomenal! Many great cocktails, TV's everywhere, and great Large booths to cater to those fun parties! Check them out on the weekends, they stay open WAY LATE! Christina Nguyen is out of this world people, go check her out at District One, your palate will be glad you did!

I waited 2 years to come back

By F T |

I waited 2 years to come back and try the bone marrow soup. I had asked the waiter if it was guarantee that there would be bone marrow, said he couldn’t but he brought out an extra piece separately that had bone marrow. I wasn’t disappointed at all. The others preserved other food too and said they were good. This would had been a 5 star but after bringing us our food, no one came back to ask if we needed more water or if we needed anything else or to even give us our bill. We had to flag another waitress. Aside from that the entire experience was pretty decent.

Delicious food and fun atmosphere

By Relicords |

My wife and I eat here semi-regularly and always have a good experience. The beef is high quality and always tasty. The pho is a bit more expensive than some other Vietnamese restaurants, but the ingredients are fresh and much higher quality, like ribeye pho tai. I recently tried the shaking beef (bo luc lac) with tomato rice and fried egg, and it was very good. The cocktails are great! I tried the coconut mojito and it came in an actual coconut with the juice on the side. The non-alcoholic drinks are also good. This restaurant has a pub sort of feel, with sports being played on several screens throughout the bar and restaurant, but it’s not loud and is a comfortable place to enjoy dinner. The staff is friendly, and the service is good. Parking is not always easy. District One is in a shopping center with several other popular establishments, so finding a place to park can be challenging. The parking lot is not as full later in the evening.

Fast Service, interesting menu good addition to area

By StimsonBeach999 |

Though it isn't exactly in Chinatown this newish place has Vietnamese and fusion entrees with some unusual items like ox tail. I think the portions could be larger and the drink menu is rather pricey. The cheapest beer is $4.5 for Asahi which is very good but... For tourists pass through chinatown and in shopping center on Jones across from huge 168 Grocery Store.

Lobster pho!

By Rodney O |

One of the places on my list that I wanted to try. Glad was able to do so. Place wasn't packed at around 11am. The host and servers were nice. The food was great. We got half a dozen house special oysters, belly bun, yellowtail tacos and lobster pho. Oysters were yum. Need to go back during happy hour. The belly buns were also good the pork was very tender. The yellowtail Tacos tastes better with lime and sriracha so better add some. The lobster pho was heaven. The broth was great and the lobster was succulent. If I lived in the area I'd probably visit often.

Fantastic Lobster Pho was delecious

By tjmcIII |

Had great drinks the bartender dehydrates her own fruits on her free time (who does that)! Had lobster Pho which was wonder!! I would skip the grilled squid as it was over cooked and chewy. If I had a more time I would like to have tried the Big bone Pho!

a neighborhood GEM

By tucsonjan |

We saw this restaurant reviewed in our local paper and thought it was too good to be true! WRONG! Their signature dishes were perfect and brought back memories of our trip to Vietnam. We tried the Lobster Pho and not disappointed. The flavor of the restaurant is one of privacy and one of family dining. You won't be disappointed in their flavors or presentation. And the service was very good - we are not all that familiar with all the Vietnamese cuisine and everything was explained to us in a thoughtful and concise manner. This is definitely worth a trip from wherever you are in the LV Valley.......... ENJOY!!!!!!

Well worth the drive from The Strip.

By Chux |

Great ambience. Excellent service. Great presentation with the plating. My family loved it. Drove down from Delano first night we flew in as I read about District One online. Did not disappoint at all. Great service from the staff. I agree with the reviews that this is the best fried rice I ever had. I had a more memorable dinner here than the dinner I had at Jasmine's at Bellagio lol.

Wonderful food

By ann b |

I absolutely Love this place!!! When we go I always have the oxtail fried rice,it's beyond delicious! We always try different apps and have never been disappointed.

Fourth time

By Bajantravel |

This place serves the best food for the price in LV. Nothing left to say. Every time I try something different and it's always really good. Carpaccio appetizer is da best and it's their preparation. Tonite tried coconut ice-nuts.. Delicious. Listen anytime u want to chill and have a late night outing dinner this is the place to go in LV.

Annual trip during business

By Nam L |

I make my rounds thru the local Las Vegas establishments when I am here for business. District One happens to be one of them. I always pay a visit when in town during November for Autodesk. The food is a modern take on Vietnamese dishes. They don't stray too far away to call it fusion. The bar seems to always have some nice craft beer selections in rotation every time we come. Customer service is always on point and friendly. It's not amazing but it's reliable and leaves you satisfied. The picture listed is of Bun Bo Hue. Done right but the flavor just doesn't hit me in the face like my Momma's does.

Ok but not as good as i expected

By JSTRICK96 |

the restaurant and staff were great but the food was not as good as i expected it to be. i would have to give it a thumbs down will not return

Amazing!

By Jennietran |

Went to Vegas for 6 days and out of the 6 days returned to District One on 3 occasions. Food was amazing, variety was good, quality was fantastic and great customer service. Would most definitely recommend the Lobster Fried Rice, Oxtail Fries and Fresh Coconut. Absolutely loved the food.

A Food Gem in Vegas!

By travel_tings_07 |

This is an Asian fusion restaurant, with a twist on familiar dishes. They have lobster pho (which I haven't tried but looks good!). I have tried the bluepoint oysters, oxtail fried rice, oxtail fries, and belly buns (on two separate occasions), and everything was super tasty and filling! The oxtail meat was super tender, fall-off the bone type texture, and flavorful. They have interesting alcoholic drinks as well. We walked in at around 9:30 pm on Saturday night without a reservation, but it was fine because bar seating was opened.

Great for large groups!

By Adrianna C |

Had a large group of 20 that was accommodated very well compared to some other places we had gone. Wings were large and juicy, beef tartar was fresh, salad rolls had a fun crunchy twist, my favourite was their ox tail fries with an egg on top! We had the lobster pho which was beautifully presented, all the meat was conveniently taken out of the shell. Portions were large, everyone was stuffed! Beers were served in a chilled glass which was amazing in the 100F weather! It's off the strip but great place for modern viet cuisine, would return.

Fantastic food and service!

By Anne F |

Second time here from Minnesota. Visits were one year apart. Both times absolutely fantastic food and fantastic service! We have had the pho ga, pho oxtail, and spicy hue noodle soup between the two visits. All 3 have been outstanding! The edamame and belly buns were great appetizers to start the meal with. And the coconut mojito cocktail had great presentation and great flavor! On top of the food being stellar, every single staff person we interacted with was smiling, attentive, and so fast. Visiting District One every visit is a must have for us now!

Great place

Newest hit in Vegas.. love this place. Try to go to happy hour.. good price good food. Awesome service

Excellent food and service

By mail4cindyr |

I always have the fish tacos to get started. If you are a sushi fan, you will love them! My favorites are the lobster pho and the steak and egg. The pho is large and the lobster is tasty. The steak is a wonderfully spiced beef with tomato rice. My coconut mojito is served in a coconut. The Good Morning Vietnam is a great twist on a Bloody Mary. Save room for dessert and get the coconut ice cream. It is served in a young coconut and topped with chopped peanuts.

Delicious Food

We've gone several times and I always have to get the oxtail fried rice with the over easy egg on top. It's excellent and the service is superior

WOW! What an awesome surprise!

By HockeyChef |

I got turned onto this place by my chef buddies in LV, and when CHEFS tell you a place is good, you should believe them! EVERY dish I got was amazing. A burst of flavors and textures! I tried a few of the daily specials, then also dug into some menu faves like Oxtail Fried Rice, Carpaccio, spring rolls, green papaya salad and a couple more I can't recall. Service was spot on and the owner stopped by to say hi. My only regret was that I went here on my last day. If I had been in town longer, I would have probably gone more often. This place is a CHEAP Uber ride away. Get off the Strip and eat here and you'll still come out ahead over lousy Strip food at Strip prices.

Off the strip but worth it

By Essie |

I haven't been to this place in a while as it is off the strip but let me tell you... ITS WORTH IT! Asked the server for the recommendations so here is my review: Food: - oxtail pho (so yummy with ample pieces of oxtail) - oxtail fried rice (my favorite dish), it was hot enough that it cooked the egg when mixing (which I loved), good amount of oxtail pieces - beef carpaccio: normally I love carpaccio but felt this one was a tad too saucy for my liking Service: - service was good, quick and attentive Interior: - clean with some great detailing on the walls Overall I was impressed with the visit. Felt like it was better than I remember!

Incredible.

By Amberzo |

We had tried to go into another place in the same strip mall and couldn't get a table. We were walking passed this place on the way back to our car and decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did. The service was wonderful! The menu was small but so, so good. The garlic noodles were to die for. I also got the Double Down which was short ribs and sausage and it was perfect. The chef came out and made sure our meal was ok which is always a welcomed touch. Awesome beer and mixed drink menu as well. We'll certainly be back the next time we are in Vegas!

Good food, fun atmosphere

By Retiredguys |

We heard this place was fun and unusual. We were not disappointed, but it was not THAT unusual. Authentic Vietnamese offerings with some added local flavours (eg., Pho made with New England Lobster). The Sea Snails was the most unusual dish we tried, and you have to try them once but like us, you may not order them again. While fun, the Lobster Pho was not good value. The Chicken Wings were good value. The beer offering was excellent.

Careful with online menu postings

By Jeanette O |

Have been to the District before and find it is a great sports bar with appetizing “comfort” food. However, we were slightly surprised to find that their special happy hour menu found online was not presented to us when we got there (4:30). In fact, our server looked at us as if we were requesting something unheard of. Not sure why a separate menu would be posted online if there isn’t one. All in all, we were happy with our choices off their regular menu and especially happy with our wonderful server.

Good food

By icyvegas |

This place was highly recommended by my friend. The place is itself is awesome. Friendly staff..parking is crazy though in this neighborhood as there are at least 5 restos in this plaza alone. I ordered bone marrow phó. It is soo good.i agree with the other reviews. Though the food i ordered were just awesome, i think I have tasted better food and others have better seafood selection. The menu itself is limited. Expected more i guess.. considering all the buzz about this place. It is little much for the price of food. Nonetheless.. it is great. Maybe updating your menu.. adding more to the menus.

Not all the hype

By Mads64 |

My friend recommended this place because he said the food was great so me and my family decided to try it for lunch. Size wise, place is a bit more than average. Menu wise, not much to choose from; just a one page menu with a separate one for drinks. We have had so many soups (phos) so we decided to try their rice menu. There were only about 5-6 choices. I chose the "oxtail loco moco". It was basically braised beef with sauce, in the middle of which is a mound of rice topped with fried egg w/ pepper. The taste was not extraordinary; a bit disappointing. My daughter ordered this pork in coconut milk. 3 pieces of what also looked like braised meat with sauce and cilantro and a halved soft boiled egg; rice served separately. Nothing distinct with the taste. My husband ordered the pork platter - pork chop (1/3 of which was bone) with chinese sausage, kimchi, few pickled (?) veggies and rice topped with egg, also w/pepper. My husband said it's something he can easily make. The only food that stood put was their calamari w/aioli sauce, which my son got. The aoili sauce was good. I really don't see and taste all the hype with this place. If you're probably hungry after a drinking party, this maybe a nice stop. But if you are just plain hungry and want something distinct & really good, try some other place. Serving time also took a while - about 20 minutes or so.

Oh my days...Mmm!

By SdotG |

My friend suggested the place for Lobster Pho for our visit to Vegas.... Oh my days! It was on point! You get your money's worth for this. Also had the oxtail fries which were... Amaaazing! Sooo tasty!! Spent a week in Vegas and ended up coming here 3 times! On another occasions we went back to try the Lobster fried rice... I think I went into a food coma after that. It was perfect to how I would like my fried rice and I just couldn't leave any thing behind... Cleared out the plate and washed it down with some fresh coconut juice. I still dream about it and want to go back for more. Ok, I'm hungry now so I'll change the topic to the staff who were very nice. Very attentive and made every meal very enjoyable.

Modern, but not weird, Vietnamese food

By James W |

This is the sort of place that serves surf and turf pho, as well as spring rolls with interesting mixtures. There is a full service bar and enough TV screens to pass as a sports bar. But it's also the same place if you want traditional pho and quick eating Vietnamese cuisine. Located in a strip mall west of the Strip and west of the ever expanding Asian business district around Spring Mountain Road. Well worth the excursion.

Great food and a place to watch sports events

By seven0two |

I love eating here. They always have a game on and the food is tasty. Its like a sports bar without the same old chicken fingers, burgers, etc. My friend and I must have come here a hand full of times to watch the 2014 World Cup and they had the games playing on all TV's (at least 8 TVs in here). Every day they have a special board that is written on a mobile chalk board. The server brings it to your table and reads off all the special menu items for that day. I have had the chicken wings with serrano pepper sauce, fried calamari, kalbi rice plate, pho noodle soup, oxtail soup, crab, scallops shashimi, yellowtail tacos (comes in a raw fish form), oxtail fried rice, and blue point oysters...mmmmmm! Happy Hour starts at 3 and the blue point oysters are $1 each along with the chicken wings at $0.50 each. You can't beat this deal and they are yummy. This place is open until 3AM and gets a late service industry crowd late night.

Blah.. Not sure what the hype is TBH

By BugattiBoi88 |

Umm... Okay so I guess I missed the bandwagon on this place because after leaving here tonight I'm a little confused as to what's the big hooplah about this place? Listen I'm all for given credit where it's due however this place just doesn't get my vote. My co workers love it and I have had their food and now tonight a chance for the happy hour! This review is strictly for the happy hour and nothing else. For starters lets talk about the joke of a menu they have for happy hour? You might as well not even offer happy hour with the half **blank** menu they are offering? Like cmon now it seriously only benefits people who like beer and cheap wines that will leave you with a headache? Oh and the little bit of food they have listed is a joke as well. I ordered those extremely fried chicken wings that were .50 cents a piece.. And yeah full of grease when you bite into them and extra freaking crispy, no thanks. The drinks are priced I guess well for beers but what about the folks that want a good cocktail on the happy hour menu! NONE of the regular cocktails are priced differently during this time frame and that ridiculous being that most places at least list the well drinks. The service is cool but just put it like this they won't ever get another dime from me and I'm sure they are okay with it because seems from the other reviews this place is a hit! The entrees I've tried before in the past were "just okay" as well. The whole garlic noodle thing throws me all the way off. If the happy hour improved and they listed more relevant items I may or may not try them again but for now they are most definitely on my skip list!

PHO-king awesome!

By Dao V |

We've heard of this place from lots of friends. This is a must try restaurant. My family and I went there for the famous pho's that we've heard of. We all ordered the oxtail pho and it DID NOT disappoint. The meat just comes right off and it was so juicy! They're menu has other things such as lobster pho and bone marrow pho too. The price was not bad at all for the pho they offered. Just the right amount of pho for the price. We also ordered spring rolls and they were better than most of the place we visited in vegas for spring rolls. Definitely give this place a try if you are looking for pho in the vegas area!

I was happy

By Brucewayne64 |

After walking the vegas strip for almost 4 hours we worked up an appetite and decided to try out District 1. The place is comfy and designed well, we both really liked the layout and the customer service was very nice and timely. Luckily we arrived during happy hour, the place is a bit expensive but, I must admit the food presentation, taste, and time brought to our table was excellent. I would go back and take friends and reccomend as a late nite spot for some food. 4 star rating all the way

One of the Best Places for Asian Fusion

By MeSSanFrancisco_CA |

If you love oxtail, you would love this place. This Vietnamese Fusion restaurant makes the best oxtail dishes. They offer oxtail fried rice, pho, and over fries. We tried the oxtail poutine (over fries) - it was SO tender and it melts in your mouth with delicious gravy. The pho had al dente rice noodles with fresh beef and soup. The fried chicken was crisp and juicy. Service was friendly and swift. Atmosphere was quite relaxing and fun. Would definitely come back for more.

Great Lobster Pho and BeefBone Broth

By campfamily50 |

We had these among other dishes here but these were by far the most memorable and most expensive. The lobster pho had a very different broth than regular pho, it was so rich and flavorful. But the best part was the lobster- it was so fresh and naturally sweet, made it worth the $50 price. The beef bones soup had these enormous bones with lots of tender meat on them, they were huge but also tasty. Highly recommend.

Overall Good place!

By Jason M |

Good beer selection. Got the oxtail fries. A little too wet making the fries soggy, but flavor was there. Nothing a few flips in a scorching hot sauté pan can't fix. 4 stars for service, bartender and the great variety of beers here! I hear they have great food here, but didn't get to try much due to eating dinner about 5 minutes before coming here.

Delicious

By Jennifer W |

We stumbled on this restaurant on our way home from the Fashion Place mall. Everything we tried was great. Steak salad. Pho Tom. Combo platter. The only downside was no children's menu. She snacked on our plates and ate enough, but I would have liked to order her a small plate of something kid friendly.

We went for the Lobster Pho

By April C |

It all started with a photo my friend showed me from his Instagram feed. A beautiful food photo of the restaurant's famous Lobster Pho. When we finally got a chance to go to Vegas for a convention, we had to make a stop. We went straight from the airport since the time that we arrived, the restaurant would be open for lunch. We didn't realized how far off the Strip the restaurant was located. It was practically Las Vegas' Chinatown. A bunch of Asian businesses in a strip mall setting. After we got dropped off, we went inside and greeted by one of the staff members. Inside, the decoration is very modern rustic with a little touch of Asian artwork. You couldn't really tell that it was an Asian/Polynesian restaurant. We were seated by the window (which was perfect food photography lighting) and was diggin' the music that was played overhead. A Hawaiian Reggae playlist. We started to order an appetizer since my friend and I were going to share the Lobster Pho so we needed something to fill our stomachs. We ordered spring rolls (typically found on any Vietnamese menu). Our waiter suggested for another appetizer to try out which is the Pork Belly Bun. We had them before unless there was something special about it. "Have you every tried it as a fried bun?" Hook. Line. Add it on the tab. The Spring Rolls were good. Nice and crispy. More cigar style (thinner) than usual. The Pork Belly Buns just melt in your mouth. So it was time to order the entree and of course we had to have the Lobster Pho. Then he pulled up the Specials menu board. The very last item on the board got our attention - Oxtail Loco Moco. Add that on also. The Lobster Pho looked exactly as it was pictured. The broth was refreshing and not overpowering which is typical in a seafood type broth (beef has more flavor in beef pho). Lobster was cooked perfectly. The Oxtail Loco Moco was really good. I find it a bit too salty, but I guess you have to mix it with the rice to lessen the saltiness of the gravy. Overall it's a very laid back place and the food was awesome. We did expect the Lobster Pho to be at market price which is between $30-$40. It's a nice place to eat out if you want to get off the Strip. We'll be adding it to our "Go to" list for Vegas and bringing friends.

Fabulous experience!

By Orla |

A night of drinks and dinner at District One couldn't have gone any better. The service at the bar was fun, creative and intriguing from our server Janelle, and the whole dining experience was so much fun. The flavors were powerful, serving sizes was perfect and we were shouted free ice cream for our birthday song. It was a perfect night 💕 And for a Saturday night it wasn't overly crowded at all. The place is quite big.

Wish food tasted better

By Sandyvacation |

Heard lots of hype about this place. Place was clean and looks good. Food was ok. Little disappointed in taste of food. Beef carpaccio was disappointing with lacking flavor. Mi Quang was very disappointing. The noodle was so hard and the chicken was dry. Broth was ok. My husband had Vietnamese spice noodle and that was good. We had a party of 14 people and they would only split the bill into 2 only. We ended up having to calculate expenses and pay each other back which made it more difficult on us. Made the experience not as good. Most restaurants let us split bills per couple. Nice that they had sink outside of bathroom so we can wash hands. Overall Restaurant was ok. Maybe I'll give it another chance and try other dishes next time?

Pricey, but worth it

By Johnny H |

District One has done what few have successfully achieved in bringing us a more gourmet Vietnamese dining experience. Although pho is ubiquitous as a quick, affordable, and tasty meal for any time of the day, here one can find pairings not only with finer cuts off sliced beef, but also with terrific Maine lobster. Many pho broths rely on MSG to improve flavor, but the District One broth is goodness in a bowl. No thirstiness afterwards. Only a deeply flavor broth achieved by a very long stew. Don't miss this place!

Another great Asian restaurant

By marky1966 |

A great southeast Asian restaurant in Las Vegas. It is very clean and modern. Food are amazingly good and fresh. All adults and kids liked it. Nothing to complain except a little pricey. But it is Vegas. 5 star!

Excellent

By Bajantravel |

Had beef carpaccio and shrimp gai lan ... Mmmm excellent. Cool atmosphere, quick good service. Starting to discover that Chinatown is the go to alternative to strip with better pricing for locals

The reason why I went

By Soung S |

If you are in Vegas and aren't wanting to eat a Buffet, and it's late then try this place. The lobster pho is market price be careful lol. It will feed two and it was expensive I think when I was there I paid 45$ for it The crab was good and also a bit pricey but very easy to eat since they split them up for you already.

Gastro pub a la Vietnamese

By laorenjia |

Don’t be fooled by the grubby entrance and the downmarket strip mall. Once seated at the bar customers will be impressed by the knowledgeable bar tender and the variety of cocktails available. Food is definitely refined Vietnamese with delicacies such as kuramoto oysters and lobster pho amongst other goodies. Vegans would be happy with their selection of vegetables served with either pho or fried rice. Seafood selection is also extensive. We had oxtail fried rice and chicken hot pot to the recommendation of the chef. All very palatable and well prepared. Wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. Average food bill including wine would be $50. Altogether an ideal family eatery for all ages.

Great Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese fusion

A group of 8 of us came here for lunch based on all the great reviews on TripAdvisor and Eater 38, and were not disappointed. Off the beaten path, but very cool ambiance and friendly service. We got a bunch of small plates and dishes to share. The pho and wonton soup were both excellent; broth was really tasty. The oxtail fries were a favorite. Also enjoyed the chicken salad and spring rolls. The pork belly buns were just ok, and chicken wings were crispy, but a little dry (could use some sauce), and are really spicy. But overall, a wonderful meal. Hand-crafted cocktails - favorite was the Vietnamese Donkey (a mule with lychee vodka); coconut mojito in fresh coconut was also very good, and lots of craft beers. Great pick!

Excellent grub off-strip in Vegas!!!

By GoldChain |

I recently dined here with a group of co-workers. We had Crispy Egg Rolls, Calamari, and Belly Rolls, both fried and steamed, and all were excellent starters! For entrees, one of my co-workers and I both had the District One Rice Combo Platter, which was pork chop and short ribs along with rice (I asked for fried rice, but comes with steamed) with an egg on top (you can choose how you want the egg cooked). I was very tempted to get Pho as they had a large variety of options, but I didn't get it. One friend had the Oxtail Fried Rice, and the last had Clay Pot Chicken Rice. Everyone loved their dishes and all plates were cleaned. Needless to say the food was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to folks wanting to get off the strip and enjoy some good eats!

I'm not a fan

By Negrilgurl |

Well..The service at the bar was very slow from the guy muscular guy and the female with the heavy eye makeup. I looked over and saw that the crew serving the tables were moving fast and they seemed more professional. I wish I sat at the table. The food was just ok. Was edible. I have to admit I didn't have anything authentic so that could have been the problem. But how hard is it to make tasty chicken wings?

Pho night

Im not really into Pho, but the Pho broth here is pretty yummy. Friendly service. I like that its open till very late.

This is the real Pho!

By Jedimasterkush |

I found out about District One from a family member and then I saw the stellar reviews here. Rule of thumb, If you are going to a restaurant in the Chinatown district/area its probably gonna be the real deal. We had a round of specialty drinks with some garlic serrano wings and crab eggrolls that were both really good. For our entrees we had both the oxtail and ribeye pho and both were just on point. The inside of District One has been done up and its really a cool place to hang on top of their great food. The waitress came by several times making sure we didn't need anything. For dessert we had the coconut ice cream and Vietnamese coffee. Once again just really good all the way around. If you are thinking about coming here you definitely should. This place to us was 5 out of 5 across the board.

A Great Surpise

By Delilah1000 |

We went because a co worker said that it was amazing and he was correct. Their chicken wings are spicy and so good. I had the shrimp pho and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The staff were so fast and friendly. I am going back next time I am in Vegas.

Fantastic Meal

By Bassfisherman2017 |

First time at the restaurant. We were visiting our friends who live in Las Vegas and who suggested the place. It was great. The staff is nice and the food was really good. Had the whole snapper and it was so tasty and melted in your mouth. Highly Recommend the place.

Tasty Modern Vietnamese Off the Strip...

By LHOVancouver |

Go for happy hour before 7pm. Well priced Dumplings, Soups, Pho. Special Pho's are Lobster (1.5 lbs) for $50 and Bone Soup (Big Bones) at $18. Staff are friendly and helpful. Deep in Chinatown off Jones and Spring Mountain. Good luck and enjoy!

Worth the visit...

By Bob K |

I decided to try this place based on the great reviews and boy was I not disappointed. We had the ox tail pho and big bone soup. If you're Asian and like pho soup then you'll love these two dishes. The only thing I can say that was a negative, was that the big bone didn't have much meat on it but it did have a lot of marrow and tendon. I will definitely go again.

Delicious!!!

By HappyTraveler2888 |

We’ve tried oxtail pho, oxtail fried rice, pho tai nam, pho tai rib eye and green papaya salad. All of them are delicious and full of flavor, the oxtail in pho is super tender. Soup base is yummy as well, not too salty nor too sweet as if it was fully loaded with msg. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for comfort while relatively healthy food.

Didnt work for us

By tlw12 |

My wife and don't get it? After all the hype about this place we were expecting great things. Pushy wait staff and bartender asked over and over if we wanted to order some food before we had been served our drinks. Ordered appetizer of chicken wings and yellowtail tacos nothing special pretty pricey for 3 tiny bland tacos and a few chicken wings. We ended up going for PHO around the corner to finish our dinner. Maybe an off night???? I will say that the place is very nice on the eyes and looks great. .

Great Late Night Eats

By Scott W |

After a flight from Honolulu to L.A., then a 5 ½ hour drive through L.A. afternoon traffic, I arrived in Las Vegas a little tired and a lot HUNGRY! With only airline food and some on the road snacks (Cheetos and Jerky), I wanted something satisfying. My long time friend who lived in Vegas 8 years ago met up with me and suggested we go to District 1. It’s in a strip mall on Jones Blvd. about 10 minutes west of the Las Vegas Strip. The exterior is nice and the interior is comfortable and hip. Large floor with a lot of seating and good friendly service greeted us. They have a late happy hour and we were there at the right time. On the menu, the Ox Tail Fried Rice caught my eye and I also decided to indulge a little with the happy hour special of a dozen Blue Point Oysters. The Ox Tail Fried Rice was really good with lots or tender tasty shredded oxtail meat and the Blue Point Oysters were fresh, clean and got gulped down quicker than I could finish my beer. The chill atmosphere and friendly service really stuck out for me here and I’m glad my Vegas guide made the suggestion (Thanks Trisha!!). I’ll definitely be back … maybe even before I leave Las Vegas in a week.

Best Hidden Gem Of Vegas

By Jennifer S |

My husband & I love Asian food & were told about this restaurant by friends. District One is a Vietnamese restaurant with a gastro pub vibe. It was a short Uber ride off the strip. We tried the Oxtail fries & it was amazing. It was an item I would never have tried, however, was recommended. We also had the garlic Serrano wings. They were crispy & just enough spice. Our last course was the coconut pork belly. We were stuffed by the point & it was only about $30. They also had an eclectic drink menu & drinks if fresh coconuts. We want to go back to try dessert. Highly recommended & not Vegas priced.

Pho

By Ashley H |

I love this place! ! I used to live on this side of town and never knew that this place existed...what a shame for me. This place has the best Pho in town. The portions the flavors of the dish here are big and well worth every penny. Also, the establishment is fun and full of life. The staff here is very attentive and friendly. This is a great place to try out.

ASIAN CONFUSION ....HOWS THAT !

By Brad W |

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE !!! AWEFUL EXPERIENCE ! The name (District One...Red flag!) Dont sound Asian to me ! This is my 1st time to come here and may be its a last time! The food was suck . I am Vietnamese and i DONT consider this is Vietnamese food ! I ordered Beef carpacio for appertizer (The waiter said it was a popular item) The dish was small, the meat was chewy and RAW. Was 16.00 (Ouch!) My entree was a small dish Shaking Beef w a fry egg (You cant go wrong w shaking beef n fry egg) was 14.00 dollars . I was looking fr great Vietnamese food but this was a HUGE naaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

Super Friendly Service Went for the Pho!

Lounge atmosphere, good music, super friendly service staff. I was impressed with the fast service, the pho ingredients were very fresh, the broth was clean. You could see they paid attention to this. Enjoyed the pho, would recommend.

Delicious respite from the craziness and high prices of the strip

By meehabunny |

On a recent visit to Vegas I decided I didn't want to deal with the crowds and craziness of the strip during lunchtime. My husband found an article online that suggested several off-strip lunch gems and District One was among the selections. I am so glad we went here and will surely be back to sample more goodies from the menu on our next visit. The decor is simple but comfortable. We were seated at a very large booth and greeted with smiles. Our server was pleasant and helped us to decide what to order. Just like the decor, the menu is fairly simple. There is only one page of options...and they got everything right. We started with the egg rolls. Again, seemingly so simple, they are served with a mountain of herbs and greens to cut the oil of the roll, making each bite balanced and delectable. It was a different take on an old favorite and we loved trying it in a new way. We had heard the oxtail fried rice was a specialty so we had to order it. It was loaded with umami deliciousness from the expertly cooked pieces of meat to the perfectly runny sunny side up egg nestled on top. It was probably the best fried rice I've ever had. We also had to have the pho and opted for the shrimp. It came with all of the traditional pho garnishes and was packed with noodles, shrimp, and of course, savory, salty, meaty, complex, flavorful broth. While the shrimp seemed to have been sitting in the hot broth a tad too long, making them a bit chewy, everything else about this dish was practical perfection. We really loved our lunch at District One and plan to tell all our friends to pay them a visit when partying in Sin City.

Great pho and service!!

Do NOT get the Lobster Pho

By Russ T |

Saw ads with a giant lobster sitting in a bowl of broth on Facebook and I was sold. It took some time but finally got to go and I ordered that Lobster Pho. Meh The broth was good, but I wasn't offered any veggies or sprouts. The lobster was just lobster, no seasoning on it. It was just some lobster sitting in the broth. When you see a picture of it, it looks huge, but it's not. The lobster head is empty and there for display. Funny thing, the LYFT driver that picked me up after my meal said "I hope you didn't get the lobster pho... it's a tourist thing" And I said "I knew it!!" I had a feeling that my stomach suckered me into something. The Lobster Pho wasn't bad, it just wasn't that great, and not that great to pay $49 for. Just save your money and try something else on the menu. They are based in Chinatown, which is like an 8-10 minute drive from the strip. I was a little surprised at the interior. It wasn't how I pictured it. Long thick wooden tables with paper towels dispensers on the table. Not bad, I just imagined it to be more sleek. It's in a strip mall with a bunch of other restaurants that I'd like to try out as well. Service wise, the guy was polite but didn't go out of his way to find out if I'd been there before and if I had any questions about the menu, etc... I should have asked but he didn't seem like he was interested in answering questions. I saw other tables getting sprouts or vegetables but I wasn't offered any. When I was done I asked him why and was told that my dish doesn't come with it but it's given if you ask. I'm not a frequent pho eater so I didn't know to ask. Everyone else had sriracha on their table, there was none on mine. I wasn't offered any. And I kick myself for not asking but my server didn't even think to offer to set me up with any condiments that might kick up the flavor. I felt kind of invisible and unwanted. Don't get me wrong it wasn't nearly as bad as being in a Korean restaurant, but I was disappointed. Which sucks because I want to try the bone marrow pho and some other items. I also want to try some of their cocktails as well. But I'm not sure now. If you opt to check them out - don't get the Lobster and ask them about condiments and veggies.

Great Vietnamese fusion restaurant...

By Steff A |

D1 Service & Ambiance: They get busy because they're popular but the staff is always friendly and inviting. The kitchen gets the entrees out quickly and they're good with turning tables quickly. The industrial decor is attractive with lots of wood and word murals on the wall. There's full bar with multiple flat screens. There's plenty of full size booths and the tables in the middle of the dining area are mobile to accommodate large parties. D1 Cuisine: Fusion dishes or traditional pho is what I've sampled, these are my D1 favs: The Oxtail fried rice is a rice dish that eats like a meal. The Double down with pork chops works well with the Chinese sausage and rice topped with a fried egg. The grilled squid is delish and big enough to share for the table or get you full as your main entree. The spring rolls are always fresh and flavorful. For dessert, grab the coconut ice cream served in a coconut shell that has fresh coconut ready for you to scoop out and eat. District One is exhibit A of how Vegas has become a primo foodie city. The Vegas restos owned by locals know what works for the city and offers a great foodie experience for a price that provides value. We'll continue to swing by District One because they've always delivered. Enjoy!

Simply the Best

By out2explore |

Just taste the beef broth. Thick and full of beefy flavor. Simply the best. I had the Phó Tai Nam and it was excellent, thick broth and lots of beef. My buddy had the bone soup with a side of noodles and WOW! That's all I can say...look at the pics. Great place. 5 stars.

We came to this restaurant from a recommendation from a friend. Boy, was this great food, Love the grill squid, Lobster with garlic noodles, ox tail pho. Should have tried ox tail fried rice which is the most request dish. Service was excellent and food served quickly. Everything was wonderful. As a asian, I consider this one of the best asian meal I ever had. Come after 5:00 pm for happy hours, great oysters are available.

Really Enjoyed This Place

By qhunnyb |

Grabbed lunch here with my family. My mom and I shared the Belly buns (4/5). The bun was soft and yummy and the pork belly was full of flavor. The big bone soup (5/5) really has big bones and the soup is very, very tasty....BOMB! I loved it and ate it with a bit of rice. I tried the hubby's steak and egg and wow! that dish is delicious. I want to go back and try other things.

Great food off the Strip

By April C |

Usually before a trip, you have to do some research for things to do. I've been to Las Vegas numerous of times and it's usually the same things I've experienced. Which can get boring. For this particular weekend, my friend and I were going to Las Vegas for a convention. He saw something amazing on his Instagram feed a few weeks before that we had to go if we ever go to Vegas. It was a foodie photo of Lobster Pho. We went straight to District One Kitchen & Bar from the airport. During the cab ride we did not expect the place to be really off the Strip. It was pretty much Las Vegas' Chinatown. It kind of reminded us of Convoy Street in San Diego. Majority Asian businesses in a strip mall setting. With better parking. As we got inside, it was a mixture of modern style decoration with touches of Chinese culture art. Hard to tell that this is an Asian/Polynesian restaurant. We were greeted by one of the staff members and seated by the window (perfect for food photography). We were diggin' the music they were playing overhead because it was very Hawaiian reggae style, which we're a fan of. Since my friend and I knew what the main dish to order for sharing, we ordered an appetizer to help fill our stomachs. But our waiter made some suggestions to try out. Besides the usually spring roll (every Vietnamese restaurant has it on the menu), our waiter mentioned the steamed pork belly bun. Then he mentioned to try it fried. We did it as two steamed and one fried since it was served in three. So good. As we were ready to order our pho, our waiter brought out the Specials. The last item on the list got our attention - Oxtail Loco Moco. Food heaven. Overall, really laid back environment, staff was awesome and friendly. They really know their food. The portions were big enough to share. We knew the Lobster pho was at market price which usually runs between $30-$40. We're planning to go back again on the next Vegas trip. This time we're bringing friends. Putting this place as our go to spot in Las Vegas.

District One

By atjig |

I didn't really know what type of food they served. We just saw that they opened and we were hungry. I had no expectations. The demographics seems to be young crowd. The place had a nice liqour rack at the bar; all shorts of whiskey. The food was surprisingly tasty. All sorts of lobster themed dishes.

Excellent Vietnamese fusion

By mail4cindyr |

We love everything from the pho to appetizers. The lobster pho is undoubtedly my favorite, while my husband loves the big bone soup. The fish tacos are my favorite appetizer. The steak and eggs is made with the shaken beef and tomato rice and is my favorite meal. The new belly buns are like delicious meat candy served as a small plate.

Family Reunion

Such a surprisingly good restaurant! Went with family and we all enjoyed the food. Probably the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever eaten.

Pho and Spring Rolls (summer roll) Dead On.

By duong1680 |

Disclaimer, I'm Vietnamese and I think my mom makes the best pho. Having said that the Pho with rib eye and flank steak was awesome. The broth was oh so good, great for hangovers too. My wife and I went there for lunch and the bowl of pho and spring rolls was plenty for us. I didn't read the description for the spring rolls (normally spring rolls are fried, it turned out to be summer rolls, which are not fried and totally different. Well needless to say, the spring rolls, which were actually summer rolls, were the best I've ever had. Loved the alternative music they were playing there. Excellent place.

Unique Vietnamese dishes

By JY_Globetrotter |

We came in one rainy afternoon and the place was packed at lunch. The menu is quite different from a typical Vietnamese joint and has some fusion appetizers and main dishes. I was fascinated by the Big Bone Soup after seeing the table next to us receive a mountain of bones in a massive bowl. We ended up trying the Big Bone Soup (loaded with bone marrow; note there is no noodles in there) and the Oxtail Pho. Both were tasty and rich in flavor. I would definitely return to try some other dishes I had my eye on.

Amazing Vietnamese inspired dished

By Christian Z |

Top Notch Service and very tasty dishes. Can highly recommend Snails, Chicken-Wings and the Oxtail Pho.

Great spot with great food

By Michael1964 |

Very limited menu, and strickly Vietnamese, but their Pho was wonderful, and service was also great. Also very nice atmosphere. Nicer than most Chinatown restaurants. A bit more modern and trendy, with TV's everywhere.

Nice Food

By nicholassanderson5 |

It was really hard to park in this plaza, but I guess that the difficulty for the parking spot is almost worth the food. District One is a modern Vietnamese fusion cuisine that offers traditional plates like pho with a twist. There are a bunch of TVs in the restaurant and seating for tables, booths, and a bar. Their alcohol and wine list is pretty detailed. I usually try different beers when I'm in here. They all taste yummy. I had the steak and eggs. I opted for the normal steamed rice because I tried the tomato rice before and was not really a fan. The meat was good and the taste had a lot of flavor. No complaints at all! The reason I can't make this place a normal go to is because the price is a tad bit expensive compared to other pho restaurants. Yes, they offer an amazing lobster pho and/or surf and turf pho, but that will cost you $30 for essentially what is still pho. If I want a normal pho bowl, I can think of a lot of places where I would pay less and probably pay as much as I would here but already have gratuity included.

District Two?

By NikkoHenderson_NV |

After so many good reviews, we decided to try this Chinatown favorite. The restaurant is very casual, a very bar like atmosphere but pleasant enough to dine. First of all, they were out of several items on their menu like the shrimp skewers and black pepper lobster. Really? Common ingredients on a Friday night? And they did serve other dishes with those ingredients. Nonetheless, we found many other alternatives on their extensive menu. We tried the fresh spring rolls, fish tacos, pork buns, whole fried fish, aioli king crab and the garlic noodles. All were decent for a neighborhood restaurant, none special or great. I’m not sure if the seafood was the freshest but it was ok. Perhaps it would have been a better experience if we had just stuck with the more basic pho dishes. I can envision dining here for a casual lunch or weekday dinner but probably would not recommend as a destination restaurant.

Great small food and cocktails by a real mixologist!

By spike415 |

Some really interesting appetizers and cocktails worthy of a professional mixologist. They have an happy hour that will save you some money but the trick is they cutback on the quantity. The cocktails are close to strip pricing but over all it was a good experience.

Nice meal

By Born1960 |

Food was good but Serrano chicken wings batter tasted burned. Did not bother to return because we had so much food anyway. Spring rolls tasty along with oxtail pho and porkchop rice. Service good and wait staff pleasant. Prices are okay

Best Asian Fusion/Vietnamese food in town

By RodFeurtado |

Love this place. The happy hour is amazing, the service was excellent and the food was 10++++ I recommend their steam por belly bun steam, oxtail soup, beef carpaccio, green papaya soup and coconut ice cream for desert. The staff is friendly, on the dial and very courteous. Aaron was a great waiter. He was so nice and polite he remembered my girlfriend came a couple of days ago at 12 am. That was a nice touch. I strongly recommend this restaurant hands down. Definitely will be back!!! For sure!!!!

Customer Service Sucks. Manager won't even talk to us.

By fdino69 |

Unfortunately the service at this restaurant is not to par. We tried to talk to the manager and instead she sent one of her crew server to apologize to their disappointing service. I will not come back to this establishment and will let my friends know that they can find better establishment where they will be treated accordingly.

THE best pho we ever had

By FVbayarea |

I think this will be what we will miss the most from our recent Vegas trip. THE best pho ever. Our family tried the Bone marrow pho which is a giant bowl of huge bones with marrow. This could be shared with 3-4 people easily. Lobster pho was something we've never seen before and family enjoyed this as well. Oxtail fried rice was excellent. Garlic bok choy was good too. There's also a bar. The restaurant is open till 2am, so when you're craving soup late late night, you can go here. We took an Uber out here twice during our 3 night trip.

surprisingly good

By sc-fb |

the food was very good. everything was surprisingly light and healthy, and obviously delicious. but best of all, the bloody marys were excellent. some of the best I've ever had and I like my bloody marys! the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. it was a great experience.

PhoNomenal Twist!

By orr333 |

My wife wanted to surprise me with a fun meal in Vegas. Knowing my love of Pho, she researched and through suggestions from several Hmong friends in the Twin Cities, she found this place. First of all, the restaurant was very accommodating to her garlic and onion allergy making the needed changes to allow her to get the lobster pho that was safe for her to eat! Bravo! I had the regular Live Maine Lobster Pho and it was a great twist on the traditional dish. It could have been hotter upon serving but otherwise was fantastic. This is a spendy dish for the amount of lobster meat but the decadence of it makes up for the price and quantity. Definitely visit this place when you go to Vegas!

Awesome Bar

By escojosh |

District One is probably one of the trendiest places that you can order pho from. Almost everywhere you look has a TV screen that shows live games. A huge plus for me was that they had NBATV. The music is also nice, setting a "hip" atmosphere. District One has an impressive bar selection. Usually, I would order a Blue Moon. Enter: Kronenbourg Blanc. I was introduced to Kronenbourg Blanc at District One, and I am glad that I have stumbled upon it. I haven't found many restaurants that offer it, but it's better than Blue Moon! I ordered the steak and eggs. It contained small cut pieces of steak, tossed around in some sauce, tomato rice, and a fried egg. Not your typical steak and eggs, but this tasted pretty good. They have pho oxtail as well here too, which I recommend. Their broth is better than most in Vegas which are bland. Another famous dish they have is the lobster pho, which is great for pictures. Not to also mention their Big Bone soup, which consists of a huge bone where you can stick a long spoon in and get all of the bone marrow goodness! Great atmosphere, place to watch the games, and grub!

Depending on what is your expectation...my rating is a 3.5 star but this option is not available

By 3musketeers5 |

If you are here for Pho with a different options such as Pho Oxtail, Big Bone Soup, Pho with rib eye, then it's the place to go in Vegas. As far as the general Pho, it is just above average comparing to many other Pho restaurants in the vicinity due to those options listed above. I know many reviewers talk about the Surf & Turf Pho or Pho with lobster but to me, it does not go well together. Mainly one of the key ingredients in the broth to get the right flavor is cow bones and oxtail. That taste does not blend well with lobster, no matter how you prep it. Lobster by itself is ok, you could just order that with your rice. It's like pairing wine with foods... They also missing a key vegetable ingredient, Mexican coriander with your Pho. This restaurant also does not provide ample vegetables with your pho order, comparing to the ones in Southern CA. For other dishes, I would recommend the Double Down short rib. As for the Steak and Eggs (your typical "shaken beef" or Bo Luc Lac), not quite right even for my children and they love this dishes. The spring rolls, i would not order, terrible! The green papaya salad, go to a Thai restaurant if you want to order this dish. The sauce is what makes or breaks and in this case, it is "broken". Fried Calamari - for some reason, Vietnamese restaurants cannot make this dish and I have tried quite a few. It's better to order the Grilled Whole Squid. Vietnames coffee - it is good but order strong or 1/2 the condense milk. I actually think when you order togo from the bar, it is better and you get more coffee. When i ordered at the table, they forgot the ice and i have to remind the waiter that i order ice coffee, not hot. They do have a variety of dishes, you would need to come here multiple times to check them out. I was here mainly for Pho and the family tried the other dishes. Bottom line, would i come here again? Yes, and next time would be during happy hours or late night because of the bar, lots of options for Sake and dishes that would go well with these drinks.
