randomly found good reviews for this place online. its an unassuming house with valet parking (thank God otherwise you would never find a place to park). Was a little disconcerted when we walked in, kind of kitchy, there was a bottle of wine on our table when we were seated, apparently to showcase that they serve wine?? kind of odd. But the food was quite amazing. My fiancee is very picky and normally never finishes anything, but he cleaned his plate! we got the lamb chops, salad and a couple of appetizers. wish service was a little better, we skipped dessert because it took so long for a server to come back around. would definitely go back, just not if i was in a hurry. Didn't do hookah so can't comment, but inside no one was doing it so maybe its only on outside patio?

My wife and I discovered Divan looking for a bite near Atlanta Symphony Hall before a show. No tables were free but seats were available at the bar, where we received excellent service and tasty food. We've never had Persian cuisine before and are so glad we tried it here! After a few recommendations, we decided to share a Bakhtiyari Kabob, which was more than enough for the two of us. Huge portions! We returned a few weeks later before another show and ate at the bar again. Our bartender/server Shaina was incredible! This time we arrived with empty stomachs and enjoyed the Koobideh Kabob and Garlic Shrimp. We look forward to returning before another show or as a separate date night!

The restaurant itself was great. The décor was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating a very upscale atmosphere. My only concern was the communication system. Since the restaurant has three levels, the host staff uses walkie-talkies to coordinate seating. However, every few minutes you can clearly hear over the radio who they’re sending upstairs. In a restaurant with upscale pricing and ambiance, that kind of open radio chatter disrupts the experience. For a space positioned as fine dining, discreet earpieces would better match the elevated environment and overall presentation.

This is such an elegant restaurant that truly has something for everyone. The menu includes clear symbols for gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, halal, keto, organic, and more options. The ambiance is lovely, the service is polite, and the food is incredibly delicious. A special thanks to our server, Mira — she must be one of Atlanta’s best and thanks to Andrew for the friendly and pleasant conversation.

Long time customer of Divan. The food is always fresh and amazing. The Lamb chops and Scallops are the best in town. The new location is also multi level. They have a non smoking floor for people not wanting to smoke hookah. We have always enjoyed the food

I laugh that the parking lot is empty, and they have a valet. So Buckhead. We wanted to dine outside, but a big rain storm was coming. We were inside. Dark. I totally passed on the hookah part of the experience. I laugh thinking of me trying that. So I can't tell you about hookah here. We had a trio appetizer with 3 different hummus. Easy to share. I had the seared scallops. The food wasn't as exotic as I expected. I would try other places if you are just looking to eat.

We tried this for the first time on a Sunday night. Early the main dining room was sparsely occupied but the crowd built with a surprising number of female groups as the evening went on. Not familiar with hookah we were surprised by how many patrons ordered this addition to the experience. We chose the three course fixed price dinner and had Mahi Mahi and seared scallops as the entree. Both dishes were delicious with the Mahi served on a bed of flavored rice with a creamy lite tangy sauce while the scallops were served on a bed of thin sliced roasted cauliflower. Preceding the entree we had the eggplant and the humus appetizers served alongside the traditional herbs, cucumber slices, radishes, feta cheese, olives and walnuts and accompanying naan.Our third course included the cardamon ice cream with mint and the baklava topped cheese cake both of which were refreshing. The wine list is not up to the quality of the food and the drinks menu is extensive. We will be back.

love their patio , good food , Hookah and Drinks plus a sports TV,sometimes the music gets loud outside but you can still ask them adjust it.

We had our office party on Friday and had a great time. This is a Persian restaurant with full service bar.We were a group of 5 and we ordered our drinks which were served quickly. Our waiter Amaar was very prompt. Coming to food, spice shrimps, crab cakes, chicken kebabs and spicy potatoes in appetizer were bomb. Only thing which did not come up to our expectations was falafel which was very bland. Coming to main course Lamb Kebabs with basmati rice was made very well. It had very good flavor and was well cooked. Loved the spices in it. There were 2 disappointments: 1. The hookah ( sex on the beach) was bland and did not have the usual flavor. 2.While making reservation, we were told that they have a happy hour form 6 -730PM. However waiter told us otherwise and said there is no happy hour. Not sure why incorrect information was given to us but we were disappointed. Over all the food is very good, ambience is okay, service was efficient.

I dinned in the restaurant on recently for the first time and it will be might last time, definitely. Highly priced with lack of any proficiency in service and food taste and quality. They have a special 3 course menu priced as $25. I picked mine from their list and expected to get charged as was shown on the menu, instead I got charged $27 before tax. Not a good experience.

While searching for restaurants online in the Atlanta area near our hotel, we found Divan listed and I read the reviews. We decided to give it a try. Wow! What a fabulous evening. The service was outstanding.. We were served by Andre. He was fantastic. We started with delicious cocktails. Highly recommend the blueberry lemonade vodka drink. Andre made it as I asked.. Not too sweet. We had the hummus trio and a delicious meal of lamb kabobs. We also enjoyed hooka while we ate. Perfect way to relax and enjoy our cozy dinner. What a pleasant surprise in this hidden jewel. Go inside if you would like outstanding service, delicious food and a cozy date night. We will definitely return on our next visit to Atlanta.

We loved our dinner at Divan. The food was fantastic: perfectly seasoned lamb chops and pistachio crusted sea bass (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, like all the best foods). Our server Niyah took good care of us and made great recommendations.

The bartender Shalisa was the best bartender I have ever had and the lamb chops was great!. Will definitely be back soon!

Divan is an exceptional and delightful place for food and drink. Steeped in history, this charming old mansion features multiple levels to explore with romantic dining nooks around every corner. The food quality is excellent (some of the best in Atlanta!) and as delicious as it is beautifully presented. The service is warm and top notch. Our server last time was Meek who was incredibly kind and attentive. The bar staff too have a natural warmth that makes you feel welcome. The ownership / management is stellar as well! I highly recommend checking out Divan!

I had Divan restaurant saved in my Google Maps for year or so, but hadn’t made the time to visit. Finally decided to make it happen for my wife and I on our anniversary… needless to say it was worth the wait. Born and raised in in Detroit - I have a high standard when it comes to middle eastern food - Divan Restaurant did not disappoint. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The lamb chops were tremendous and the salmon pasta was on point. What really made the the night great was the top-tier service. When we were first seated, the location wasn't ideal for our special occasion. Our server, Meek, and the management heard our concern and immediately moved us to a spot that made the night all the more special. Meek went above and beyond, guiding us through the menu and pointing out her personal favorites and customer favorites, since it was our first time. Whether a night out on town or celebrating something special, Divan Restaurant is HIGHLY recommended.

Great place for dinner! Nice atmosphere, appetizer and entrees (shish kabob, lobster ravioli) were excellent! Our server (Christa’lin) was friendly and made the entire evening feel special. Definitely going to return again

If there were separate ratings for food, service, atmosphere, etc, the food here would be a 5. I was truly impressed with everything we were served from appetizers to dessert. Although it is a little pricey, the exceptional quality more than made up for it in my opinion. The atmosphere is also very nice, and the availability of valet parking in this busy location was appreciated, The only issue we had with Divan was the service. We had tickets to the theater across the street, so we opted to eat pretty early on a Tuesday. The server was pleasant enough, but everything took quite a long time despite the fact that when we arrived at 6:00 the place was actually empty. I would also prefer that servers refrain from pushing appetizers, in particular the most expensive ones — bad style. I would probably return to Divan for the the great food, but not when i have to be someplace afterwards.

Woooow. Did not expect this place. We went there after a show at the High Museum (and apparently way more popular than I was aware), and was completely surprised by the food. Throughout the evening, the crowds just kept pouring in (so make sure to go early!). We walked to the restaurant. Also, there’s a valet parking at the front of the restaurant for $10. Now for the food—some of the juiciest and best char-infused meats and veggies I’ve had among Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food. Somehow executed better than other places I’ve been. I feel like this place would be great for big parties/events. It has multiple floors and patios. Def coming again!

They have turned a former residence into a restaurant with a seating capacity of 38. You are looked after almost as though you are in someone's home - the wait staff is very attentive. The food is well seasoned and well prepared. I had the the fish and the beet salad. Others in our party had lamb and chicken and bragged about both.

We visited Divan on a night where we had tickets at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. If you have plans at the Arts Center and want a great meal before, don’t miss this. It’s right across the street from the valet drop off. The food was creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. I love Persian food and this is the best I’ve had in Atlanta. Yes, including Rumi’s which I am a huge fan of. An excellent wine list a creative craft cocktail list is available as well. Beautiful outdoor seating if you are lucky enough to catch the right weather.

We stopped into Divan because we passed it so many times driving through Buckhead and decided, why not? I'm so happy we did. The service from the moment we entered was amazing. We decided to sit at the bar because we knew we'd be having a few drinks. Our bartender Farid made sure we had a great first visit. Make sure you ask for him whenever you stop in. The drinks were so good. The hookah was the best we have tasted. It was very flavorful. We decided to have dinner and his recommendation of the salmon dinner was spot on. It was so delicious that we have been back already just for that dish. It is definitely on our top list of places to eat in Atlanta. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. They care about their customers and it shows in their service.

Outstanding dinner experience!!!! While celebrating my wife's birthday our server, Mikala made our night EXTRA special. She was very attentive to us and made us feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant. Also, she was flexible and adjusted to our after dinner requests. A very memorable experience and we could not ask for more during our birthday celebration. Thank you MIKALA and Divan restaurant!!!!!!!

My best friend Torrie came into town and I wanted to try a new restaurant with her. Divan Restaurant and Hookah Lounge's online menu sounded enticing so we gave it a try. Talk about friendly. I felt like I was sitting in a living room for a dinner party. It was so comfortable. The fragrances of the hookah smoke around us was pleasant, fruity, and exotic. We don't smoke so we enjoyed watching other people enjoy. The warmth and glow from the fireplace added to the relaxing experience. It was a romantic experience for a few couples, and an afterwork stress reliever for a small group nearby as well. I ordered the lamb sausage, and my friend ordered the chicken dish. I loved my lamb and the side of spinach but my mash potatoes were cold. As if they were made first and sat on the cold plate until everything else was cooked and ready. I didn't want to send it back and appear rude. My friends dish was perfect. The only weird thing was paying for our bill. The server didn't understand what we wanted. We wanted to split the balance in half and my friend is going to pay in cash and I am going to pay with a credit card. She is already getting 18% gratuity on the entire total b/c we used a restaurant.com gift certificate. We would give her an additional tip. The server kept trying to keep all the cash and charge the card the same amount as there was cash, thinking the difference would be her tip. I should have let her do it because I sounded like a total cheapskate trying to break it down for her. But the change from the cash was to tip the valet and I would add the tip on my card. The valet was quick and efficient. He wasn't around when we first arrived but collected our keys at the table. He also remembered us and our cars without us having to say anything. I kind of like that. Made me feel like more than a number.

A group of six of us really enjoyed a dinner at Divan. The salad was excellent and I had the crapcake risotto which was fantastic. The chicken kabob I had was very tasty! We all really enjoyed the dinner.

I was in Atlanta for a trade show, and did go to a couple of well known restaurants that had excellent food, but crowded and noisy as is often the case in a city hostiing a trade show. Happened to find Divan which looked like a promising relief from the maddening crowd. Had a really pleasant server who suggested the croquettes as a starter and they were a nice appetizer. I managed to find a decent wine on a limited list, but did not anticipate a huge offering. I am a fan of just about anything lamb and ordered the 3 chop portion, which was really six chops as they were doubled up. I had to compliment the chef as they were amongst the best I have had including the middle east. The flavor chef created with his sauce was perfect, with a multilayered profile that was subtle and memorable. Kudos

The food was so good, the service was even better! Gee was the best server I ever had and his hookah making skills is like no other. Can’t wait to come back!

1st time to Divan, valet parking included with just tipping!!! Awesome incentive. Smoked Hookah with some friends ranges fron $20-$25. Rooms are a little warm because of the burning, ceiling fans would help i think. Drinks are good, service was very good. We had appetizers that included jumbo spicy and garlic shrimp, crab cakes cheese plate with olives, radishes, walnuts and tomatoes. Our bill was $200 for everything we split Mongst 6.. Making fun memories with friends.

My experience at Divan was exceptional. The lamb chops were divine & perfectly seasoned. The oysters and clams were delicious. The drinks & hookah were a wonderful addition to date night with a romantic ambiance. The service was super professional. The manager Courtney ensured that my date & me were properly taken care of. Our server Meek was polite, attentive & very catering. I would definitely recommend divan for date nights, birthdays & celebrations!

I decided to celebrate my boyfriend and my friend's birthdays at Divan. I have never had such a great experience! We had a party of eight and were perfectly accomodated in one of the VIP rooms upstairs. We had enough room for us and for more people, just in case more showed up. Our server was excited to have us and extremely knowledgeable about everything from drinks to the menu to hookah. She guided us right through the night. We all ordered from Divan's house drink menu and they were delicious! Our hookahs were perfect and tasty (we had mint, orange, and margarita with mint). We had the hummus, crab risotto croquettes, and potatoes for appetizers. The portions were great and the appetizers themselves were to die for! Between four couples we split four meals which was more than enough food! The restaurant held an ice cream cake for me and our server brought it out after dinner with candles and all. Our server made sure that our night went perfectly! I will DEFINITELY return to Divan, whether I am with a big group or just with my honey!

Terrible service and the manager is rude and very disrespectful. There is no concern for the customer. We went for a birthday and waited 2 hours for food. Will never go to this place again. It definitely felt racial and personal.

Cozy & welcoming, if you are into hookahs & wanna lounge, great place... if not, and just want to enjoy good mediterranean food, again this is your place.... Great food, cute bar tender... she is impaired of hearing but was so good with lip-reading... very cute...

Such a great experience for my group of lady friends who had never had Persian food. l love finding restaurants that are cool, good, and a little off the beaten path. The cocktails were very well-mixed. The food was wonderful! And the lighting is nice and romantic. Low-lit rooms. Service was a little bit slow, but not terrible. Favorite drinks: the Divan cocktail and the blueberry lemon drop type of cocktail. We had a good time!

I recommend reservations as it gets crowded on the weekends. We had a private room for the five of us. The chicken kabobs with rice and donuts for dessert were really tasty. The wine is very reasonably priced however our red wine was served on the warm side. We tried two hookah flavors but peach mint is my favorite.

My husband and I dined here for dinner one night. Our server was Alain and he was extremely nice and hospitable. We were seated in the front room by a very nice host. They give you a basket of delicious hot bread to start along with some mint and onions. We also ordered the black bean hummus. My husband does not normally eat hummus, but he loved it. Our meals were delicious and we saved room for the wonderful doughnuts, soooo good. We really enjoyed our first dining experience and will definitely be back.

Random drop in on a girls night celebrating my birthday , did not disappoint!! We just stopped at the bar for a drink and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. The bartenders Shaina and Shalisa were very personable, fun and knowledgeable about what would meet our needs. Definitely will return!

Always enjoyable. Food is definitely good, but definitely not southern cuisine. Something for all tastes, from typical to adventurous. Make reservations. Expect upstairs to be a little loud when they are busy. Larger groups should request downstairs. Allow plenty of time for enjoying apps, hookahs, entrees, and definitely the drinks and coffee. Don't be in a rush to go anywhere else. This isn't just dinner - it's an evening event. The smoke flows through water, so it's very smooth. Non-smokers can enjoy too. Loved the meatballs app, and the doughnut dessert was fabulous. If you order the airline chicken, you can switch the potatoes for mashed. Enjoy!

Great Food & atmosphere for celebrating something special. I celebrated my 45th bday party and it was fantastic. I had my friends try hookah who would normally not smoke & they loved it.

I would come back just for the spiced potatoes alone! My whole meal was so delicious. Meek is an excellent waitress. She gave us a great rundown of the menu and answered all my questions.

Went to Divan with friends for the first time. It was my first time trying out Hookah. We had the blue mist and mint flavor. Loved the mint !! The drinks were OK. We ordered some Margaritas and Mojitos and found them to be very sweet. They had great appetizers. We loved the spicy shrimp, hummus and blue cheese. The service was OK. The waitress did not have much knowledge about the food and was not very attentive. They added 18% gratuity by default even for a group of 4 people and I thought it was a little pricey.

The atmosphere is nice, but it is very cold inside so take a sweater. There is outdoor seating. We were early so service should have been spectacular, but it wasn't. Not all of the seating is comfortable. The food was excellent. Definitely try the hummus and the lamb. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until after we left that we were double charged for the hookah. Check your bill before you leave.

We shared the beet salad. It was just enough for the 4 of us. As usual I had the salmon, which was excellent. My sister had the lamb chops and they were also very good. Very friendly staff. And the GM gave us a tour of the upstairs area. Definitely one of my go to places in midtown!

We went to this great restaurant last Friday night. the place was quiet and cozy. The weather wasn't so good out, so we had the place to ourselves. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. The prices are great and we would definitely come again. We loved being in our own little room by the front of the restaurant.

The decor and ambiance were nice. There were TVs, at least in the tented dining area. I didn't go inside the building. Divan would be a great place to watch a game. The waitstaff was friendly, and they did their best. The problem my group had with Divan was how slowly the kitchen and bar moved. Everything took forever to come. We ended up having to send a few things back because they were overcooked or didn't taste good, which meant we had to wait even longer. The manager was very nice about the situation. We received sincere apologies and were not charged for some of the drinks or items we sent back. A couple of dishes we ordered seemed to be overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food. After having to wait for so long, we didn't bother to stay for dessert and hookah. I will say that the hummus was delicious. Perhaps I would go back for apps, drinks, and hookah. Just not for dinner.

My friends and I went for dinner. We found space at the bar and decided to eat there. Our bartender/server was Shaina and she was phenomenal! The kitchen got backed up and she offered us complimentary drinks for our wait. She kept checking on us and was very knowledgeable about the menu! She made our night great. Her assistant Shalisa was awesome as well.

This is a gem! The food is amazing. No really the lamb chops are meatly heaven on earth. Arman was our waiter and he was like having a personal guide through a culinary adventure. We started with a bottle of wine and bread service. Followed by lamb chops and dessert. Great girls night out!

This is our new favorite place to take special people visiting Atlanta. We've been three times without any disappointment. Our favorite is the Turkey & Pistachio Kufta (appetizer), but every dish we've had has been excellent. They also treated us very well for an anniversary and a birthday.

We went to this "HOME with a low lying bed" last Sunday with close friends of ours. While driving past this place, you would not recognize that it could be a restaurant as it is dimly lighted and looks exactly like a house. Guess they wanted you to be at home when visiting, so they created this ambience. Valet parking is required and the place is quite cool. They have low lying seating areas with Hookah, traditional Turkish music and authentic Turkish/Greek food. Loved the service, although its pricey, but hey, worth it sometimes..

I came in with some friends and Gee took good care of us and made sure we were comfortable and kept checking on us to ensure we got what we ordered. The food was amazing, I do wish they a vegetarian plate options, I ordered a lot of sides but nonetheless the food didn’t disappoint.

Had an important business dinner … Expected a professional atmosphere… unfortunately very loud background music (asked to have it lowered but never happened)… food took too long to get served . .. during dinner other tables were re-arranged and created a very unpleasant experience…. Wasn’t presented with a Dinner receipt which I find rude … PS: Valet is $10.0 plus tip ..

Made reservations easily through their website. Needed a dinner spot close to Woodruff Art Center, and this is right next door. The atmosphere was very romantic and cozy. Food was amazing! We got the turkey meatballs to start, which were delicious. I had the salmon and fettuccine - I normally do not like blackened fish but it was outstanding. Husband had the lamb burger and said the bun wasn’t “too much”. The cucumber salad was a nice way to cool off the heat of the burger (there’s a spicy sauce that comes on it). Drink selections were great too - had 2 glasses of different wine selections and complimented the meal perfectly. We went to the bar to kill more time before the concert and it’s also a cool vibe - seating in there as well. You can make reservations for dining, the bar, or the lounge areas. Definitely planning another evening here. Beware - there’s a dress code! A young couple walked in sweats and Ugg slippers and realized they weren’t dressed appropriately. Jeans and nice shirt is acceptable.

Atmosphere, good food and great hookah... In Atlanta Divan is hands down the best. I've been here multiple times and waited to review it in order to get a good feel for it. Service: my experience has been mixed on this... In the course of a year I've been here about four times and it just really depends how busy they are. The second time I visited I had a reservation for 8 and we ended up getting sat down at 915. Which is unacceptable really. The rest of the times I have had no such trouble and I've noticed a notable improvement in the service overall. Hookah: what's not to love? You can customize it to your liking. Average price for the states... When you go to Dubai... Indulge in the hookah... It's less then half the price as you'll find in the USA. Until then go to Divan! Food: Always exceptional! I've had many things on this menu and all have been great. Warning: The seven spice potato are delicious... But they are very very hot... And well delicious.

This was our first trip to Divan. We were excited about the experience. We were able to get the large room with the sofas and a table in the center. This room is perfect for people with a large party who want some privacy. I am not a hookah smoker, but those who are enjoyed the experience. The highlight was the food. The salmon with couscous was absolutely delicious. The crab risotto balls were delicious, too. The disappointment is that the food portions are very small. Aside from the small portions, everything we tasted was excellent. We will return!

Great food and super friendly people. You can’t go wrong eating here. We had the spicy shrimp and a duo of hummus. Both were top notch.

This was my first trip to Atlanta and after 3 days of non spicy food, I found this to meet my taste buds. The kabobs were awesome and the entree options were good for meet lovers. This is Isarali cuisine and offers hookah and drinks if u like, but found it to be little costly.

I loved the atmosphere of Divan as it really wasn’t like other restaurants I have been to in Atlanta. Our waiter Hussain was very attentive and answered any questions we had regarding the menu! He was very quick with bringing our food and was prompt in refilling our drinks as needed. Great experience overall!!! I would have to say my favorite thing that I got on the menu was the roasted lamb chops.

Meek was the best . Down to the attentiveness and the glowing personality our night was more than amazing . She made sure to check on us , she was very funny , & you can tell that she loves her job , anytime I come Back I will ask for meek . She’s the best .

Apparently their food is "already prepared" and the menu "is old". Oh, and don't bother asking for the soup on the menu, "they don't have any". Unbelievable.

My experience here exceeded my expectations of my first time visiting a Mediterranean restaurant. At first when my date and I arrived we were trying to figure out why there was a valet sign. We parked and then the valet attendant came to get the keys and explained the reason for valet parking. They have a small parking lot and during high volume times their parking lot is a bit hard to maneuver around. Once we received our valet ticket we approached the front door and was greeted by a staff member. We were seated promptly on the first floor in a very romantic setting (we chose to sit towards the back in the corner) and our waiter was very attentive from the start by getting our drink orders. Once we received our drinks we placed our appetizer (Hummus Duo w/Tabouleh and Spicy Shrimp) and hookah (Double Apple) order...delicious food! For our main entrée we ordered Spice Roasted Double Cut Lamb Rib Chops...OMG, soooo tender and delicious! For dessert (which was a surprise) we had the Persian Doughnuts, a very tasty, sweet treat to end the evening. The overall ambience is remarkable with authentic Persian music playing in the background. If you like to have a relaxing dining experience and not feel rushed to hurry with your reservation try going on Sunday. My date and I arrived around 7 PM and departed around 9-9:30 PM. Our waiter was excellent and he even informed us on a little history about his culture. I will definitely visit Divan's if I'm in that area again!

If you are looking for a place to enjoy Middle-eastern cuisine with great service in a beautiful old converted house, this is it! I've been there numerous times and I am always happy to back. I've arranged girlfriend birthday parties there and no one has even come back with a negative comment. You get to choose where you want to sit based on the purpose of your visit. If you are looking for a casual intimate meal or a relaxed open space experience, they have it. If you are looking for a place to be grown, sexy and have fun with great food and drinks (I don't smoke), with awesome service, this is it!! Dress up and GO! Life is short, savor it!

We went a total of four couples for a quaint dinner .The place was bustling with activity however,the service was top notch and the food was amazing. The prices are mid range. We dined in the small room right in the front of the restaurant, it was private and cozy.

Final meal of a very busy trip. I stopped in for Divan Salad and found it nicely flavored if a bit overpriced. I didn't try the hookah or any meats so it's hard for me to give a full synopsis of this place but I liked the outdoor seating and felt like I was treated well. Worth a stop, wish I had been hungry enough for some kabobs.

My husband and I dined here while on a brief visit to Atlanta. During the day we drove passed the restaurant and thought that the building itself did not look like anything too spectacular. When we arrived that evening for our 8:15 reservation we were pleasantly surprised! The parking lot was full, there were valets tending to arriving guests and the lighting surrounding the building really set the mood! It looked so different from when we drove past earlier in the day. Enough about the exterior - let's get to the good stuff! The interior was very nice and had a plush feel to it. We started with the hummus duo with tabouleh - fantastic! The tabouleh was some of the best I have had. I enjoyed the beet salad and we shared the hanger steak. The basmati rice served with the steak was topped with some delicious caramelized onions and the steak was cooked perfectly. We did not partake in any Hookah, but their were plenty of guests enjoying it. There is a small bar area in this restaurant. Our server was Daniel, the owners son, and he was very attentive. Our experience at Divan was a perfect way to finish out our brief visit to Atlanta and we look forward to returning!

Everything was full of flavor. The lamb chops and the blackened salmon were fantastic, and the couscous is a must try! Meek, our server was the best, very attentive!!

I was walking by and saw a full parking lot of exotic cars, they caught my attention. Since I like Mediterranean food, I decided to get inside and check it out. Well, the food is surprisingly nice. This food is not very spicy, so in order to taste good it has to be skillfully prepared from perfect ingredients and it was indeed great. I had a duck leg and chicken kebab, both came out perfect. While some people had hookahs, they have good ventilation and I didn't feel any spoke in our room. Also, it's pretty quiet there, people around had no problems talking to each other.

We walked i nto Divan without a reservation on the saturday after Valentine's Day. The hostess was so pleasant and showed us a lounge (couch & chair) area we could squeeze into if we wanted. We made it work and it was a cold night so we were all nice and cozy. Service - excellent, Food - amazing. Hummus, caprese salad and lamp chops all highly recommend them. Cocktail (martini) I ordered was way to sweet, sent it back without a single flinch from our server who quickly brought me a 2nd option. Con - 1 small one is the parking, valet(free), but they were understaffed. Took a bit to park and then get our car back after dinner.

Divan is a beautiful restaurant lounge located in the hart of Buckhead. I enjoyed going here for a drink and smoking hookah. I will say this is a great spot for a date, but do be careful as it is extremely pricy!

Off the beaten path. Great experience!!! The food was excellent. We had the spicy shrimp and duck leg for an appetizer and lamb chops for the main course with potatoes and spinach. Delicious!!!! If you're in Atlanta, this is a must to visit. Matt and his wife Katie were very nice and took us on a tour of the restaurant. No military discount, but they are strongly considering and knowing them, I bet our next visit they'll have it. The building has a special flair, that loft feel. Great prices too. We had friends who came in town - made reservations here. Ask for a room upstairs which has couches and a different type of seating. The bar staff and wait staff were excellent. We had really good hummus, lamb chops, cajun salmon with Fettuccini Alfredo, and another lamb dish. All the food was AMAZING. We also smoked a hooka (around $25) to share and that was fun too. There is a small bar downstairs, formal tables/chairs/linens downstairs, and patio dining. I've been here a few times and will continue to come back.

In town for an event at the ASO, wandering Peachtree for supper. Spotted an intriguing building across street from the ASO, turns out to be “The Castle,” which is on the national registry of historic places. Atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming. We had the hummus duo on warmed pita for appetizer. It was literally enough for a light meal. My wife had the chicken kabob and I had the roasted lamb shank. Both were exception in presentation and taste. Server (Iman) prepared our leftovers and even kept them for us while we went to the event! Definitely an unexpected treat and you can’t be more conveniently located to anything In Woodruff Arts!

What a treat! Delightful dishes. Attentive service. We dined with friends on a weekday evening. Our shared appetizers included a delicious kufta: turkey meatball in pomegranate and pistachio syrup. Great favors , so tender. Best taboulleh salad I've had in a long time. Spicey shrimp was good too My husbands lamb chop was delicious. Served with spicy potatoes and garlicky spinach. It was truly heaven with the minted eggplant Scallops were seared perfectly and the cauliflower side dish memorable. Can't wait to go again.

My daughter made reservations for brunch at the ATL location. It was the first time for both of us. We were greeted to our seats by the GM Andrew who explained the specials. He was very helpful with detailing the favorites. We had Kenneth as our server who was very friendly. Andrew and Kenneth were both very attentive to our needs and dietary restrictions. We were given a complimentary app by the chef Christian. The recommendations were great and the meals were amazing!! Fresh, flavorful, and colorful ingredients. Commendations for a delightful family experience and a warm atmosphere. Our compliments to the entire staff. We will definitely return on our trip to GA from SC.

Divan is one of the best restaurants in the Atlanta area. We visit Divan a few times a year and every time, the service is great. The food is Delicious!. The bar staff are amazing. I always get the Garlic shrimp and rice and the lamb chops are the best! Hookahs are always on Point.

My husband and I recently went to Divan for our anniversary. Because of scheduling we had to eat early so the place was pretty empty. The staff treated us very well and we enjoyed a delicious meal. The cocktails the server suggested were delightful We started with the hummus trio. Each of the dips were terrific! We've had lots of hummus over the past 20 years, some good, some bad. Divan's were divine! Then the chef surprised us with a lovely snack plate of cheese, herbs, olives, etc. So tasty!! We ordered the lamb the fish special. Again, the chef surprised us by sending out an extra lamb chop. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. The music was a bit annoying and the place could use a little TLC, but the food was great.

We took the family for a birthday celebration before the show at the High Museum across the street. The décor is elegant and unique, but the real reason we came was for the food. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. The highlights were the salmon, lamb chops, and sea bass. This was our third visit—and definitely not our last!

We went there for a business dinner, and were not sure what to expect. The ambiance is very nice, as it is located in a typical home, and has many small areas, so it never feels full. Food is fresh, tasty and well presented. They have a very nice wine list, which is simple yet good quality at a great price, particularly if you choose a selection of by the glass. We had the lamb and a few appetizers that were very tasty. If you are into cocktails, they make some interesting ones there, I remember one with rose wine.

This weekend we celebrated my husband's 32nd Birthday @ Divan. We had a top notch experience and will go there again & again. We reserved a room for a party of 16, but only 6 showed up. Even though I had signed a contract with specifics for a party of 16 the staff and management were so accommodating my frustration with my "no show" guest quickly dissolved. We enjoyed premium drinks & top of the line hookah. The hookah was very smooth & relaxing! We dined on crab croquettes, hummus, a garlic shrimp dish & some of the best lamb chops I've ever had. I would definitely recommend these selections to try. Anthony and his staff are superb and I can't thank them enough for all there attention to our needs. He even called me the next day to thank us for coming & to find out if we enjoyed ourselves! OF COURSE WE DID!!! Please go to Divan and patronize a restaurant that really has it right! Oh, but you do need a reservation to get in because the secret is out about this place.

We went for a friend's birthday and I really loved the vibe of the restaurant. I instantly felt very relaxed and super chill. My friends hookahed but i did not, they loved it! Our food was so good I orginally looked at the menu and said "This is too expensive for what you get" but I have to say it was worth every penny! yummy! My boyfriend loved his food as well! Our server was kinda rude he let us know that he had been working all day and was ready to get off. He showed we felt as though we were being rushed to eat and leave and it was still a hour before closing. after we got our check he stood there and waited for us to pay instead of coming back for it . We all paid with cash, he kept asking how much is my tip? how much change do you want back? which I personally thought was kinda rude

My husband and I made a special trip here for our 20th anniversary. There are many restaurants to choose from in Atlanta but I chose this place based on the reviews; and ooh they did not disappoint. We arrived for our reservation and was promptly seated in a very intimidate room to our self. Our server was da bomb! He was very polite, attentive, patient and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband ordered the lamb chomps, which we've never had, and they were AMAZING! I ordered the salmon with pasta and the salmon was like butter. It was cooked to perfection. We ordered drinks as well and they were good. Our server even brought us out a complimentary dessert and wished us a Happy Anniversary. They truly made our experience one to remember.

Divan is the kind of place that you would never expect to experience in Buckhead. This quaint looking house is tucked back off Piedmont is full of surprises and memorable dining. We were greeted by Masoud Parast, a Persian gentlemen with all the charm, warmth and personality of a true professional host. We were seated in the first level and were served by Daniel, son of the owner, that came in from UGA to help the family make this pre-Valentine evening work perfectly. We selected the roasted eggplant dish as our appetizer along with 2 excellent wines. They were featuring a Valentine Special that included Pistachio covered seared Grouper that was simply delicious. My wife is a salmon nut and she thought that her salmon dinner was done to perfection. Masoud Parast visited our table several times to make sure that we were happy and pleased with our meals. Daniel was incredibly responsive to our requests and did everything he could to please us. Whether you are an Atlantan looking for Persian or a Persian looking for a delightful dinner in Atlanta, be sure to put Divan on your must list.

If you just want the hookah I suggest you find another place. I walked in with two friends no reservations and the hotess said the minimum for a table is $25 PER PERSON of food order. we asked if we could just do the hookah since we had already eatten and they allowed us to go to the bar. We ordered drinks and the hookah. Bartender was on point!!

If you drive too fast you may miss it. This place is a nice size restaurant and from the outside you wouldn’t think the food would be that powerful...boy was I wrong! All of the staff was super friendly. We were seated in this outside area of sorts but it was air conditioned. For an appetizer they give you a small salad which was really refreshing. For my main dish i ordered the lamb chops. It was 4 really nice size chops, served with sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes...OMG...finger licking good! I’ve never had lamb chops seasoned so well, moist, meaty and just delicious! Highly recommend this place !

I had seen this building for literally decades (on school field trips to Symphony Hall, in college, etc.). I ate here once in its former incarnation, probably 5 years ago. I was happy to see that it was being reinvented as a Persian restaurant recently. A year or so ago, I had to choose between this and Rumi's Kitchen, and went with Rumi's (mostly for convenience). So it was high time I tried Divan. I made reservations and we arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Sunday. They have valet parking which is not complimentary - it costs $10 plus whatever you opt to tip. I generally dislike valet parking, but there were not a lot of other options (in the nearby neighborhoods, parking ends at 6:00 p.m. for non-residents). We used the valet. We were shown to our table on the 2nd floor (I don't think they have tables on the ground floor. The space was nice. However, they devoted a huge table next to us to some younger women who were apparently there for someone's birthday. They had hired a videographer to document their night out (I kid you not). They went upstairs (to the hookah lounge?) for a while but descended back down and got video / photos of the event. It was odd. Our server was good. He checked in regularly but not intrusively. They have a full bar and a decent wine list. We both got koobideh kabobs. However, I thought the portion size was small here. In most Persian restaurants, I've gotten 2 kabobs for this dish. Here I got one. And the price seemed high ($28). As a comparison, I got about 3x to 4x the amount of kabob for 3/4 of the price a couple of weeks later at a fine dining Persian place in Phoenix. I realize that is not completely apples-to-apples, but I think it is worth mentioning. Overall, I wasn't unhappy that we'd had dinner here, but I probably won't return. The overall vibe and price / experience ratio was not for me.

I had never been to a Hookah lounge, so we decided to give it a go. Even though we did not order or try a hookah, the restaurant was enjoyable and offered a fantastic variety on their menu. Their basmati rice is perfection, but unfortunately my lamb was overcooked. Not to worry,,,, the rest of our meals were delicious and our server was wonderfully friendly and attentive. I do wish they had a few more tea options. Overall a very pleasant and fun experience!

Divan is my favorite spot in ATL and not just because the food and drinks are really good, but because the people are better. From the bar staff to the manager Andrew, everyone shows so much love when I’m there. Highly recommend people check it out when you’re in town.
