Awesome restaurant

By Vinny |

Sitting outside in the patio, listening to a live band, sipping on "Beetlejuice" (a beet juice and gin drink, YUM) is really awesome. The chicken dish with coleslaw and a side of sweet potato chips we're just what the Dr. Ordered. Service is awesome, food is very good and drinks were great. All in all a great culinary experience.

Great food and service

By melissa r |

We went to Doc B's twice during our overnight trip and both times the food and service were exceptional!

So delicious!

By Allie A |

The food here is amazing. We came twice in one wknd while visiting Austin. The service was impeccable. Must visit this place!

Best happy hour ever!

By VacaySean |

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had...and I spend half of my life at 5-Star Resorts. Let’s start with the happy hour-EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! Well drinks for $3, draft beer $4 and specialty craft cocktails for $7! Burgers for $5, pizza for $6, wings for $5?/&; about 10 other choices. So the food and drinks are amazing. Now, let’s get to the best part of this place-THE SERVICE! The service here is literally the best you’ll find anywhere. We sat down and had completed a full meal in 40 minutes. Sierra was our server, and she knocked it outta the park. I cannot say enough awesome things about this place. Did I mention they have happy hour EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE WEEK? Don’t pass this place up. It is definitely one of the best spots to visit in Austin.

OK Boomer

By Wendy S |

This basically felt like a sports bar set up to appeal to Baby Boomers with the decor and classic rock painting. We had the trio salsa/hummus/guac. The guac was very good, the hummus was ok, but the salsa was oddly sweet. The service was ok, but every server who ealked by wanted to take away our glasses and dishes before we had finished, which made us feel rushed.

Great food + service

By fww2 |

My wife and I went here for dinner (at happy hour time) The food was great, and so was the service. The happy hour menu was very good (their happy hour starts at 4:00 and is available every day they are open [according to the person I talked with on the phone [it is not present anywhere on their site that I could find)]. We had 3 starters (chips + salsa,, fries, and 1/2 an order of ribs); I had a bowl of their soup (it was a gumbo with sausage, chicken and shrimp and was hot both tempature-wise and on a spicy scale); my wife had a California salad which had almonds, kale, carrots, and a delicious kale and garlic dressing. It as all excellent and very reasonable in price (which was a great experience after our disappointment on Friday with Picnik on Burnett where it was just too expensive). My wife had 2 glasses of Cabernet and I had a diet Coke. The service was excellent and friendly, with the waiter keeping my glass filled and my wife's as well. I wish I could remember the waiter's name, but cannot. The place was fairly new and was at the Burnet side of the Domain northside near the Nordstrom's there.

Average food

By LAUREN C |

Great decor and ambiance. Food okay. I might visit again. I did not have alcohol. Service was very good. Food presentation was good.

Good spot

By Ron R |

We had to sit at the bar even though there were open tables. Seems a common problem these days everywhere, not enough servers. Service at bar is very good. We ordered grilled artichokes 5/5, danish barbecue ribs 4.5/5, and grilled chicken sandwich 4.5/5. Everything was good and fresh. Nice cocktail, beer, and wine choices. Pleasant atmosphere.

Awesome food

By Bjoern L |

Great food ! Wonderful restaurant in The Domain shopping area. Food tastes awesome, good wine menu. You have to check out sweet potato chips with guacamole!

Say YES to the Cauliflower!

By Stacey C |

We found this place by chance... and we are so lucky! From the #1 Tuna Salad to the Roasted Heirloom Cauliflower, every bite was amazing!

Tasty lunch

By lucycan |

Sat outside on the patio. Great area in the Domain. Inside has some cool tables (booths) too. Nice looking bar. Service was good. Food was excellent. I'll be back.

Average food, nothing special

By Todd White |

I tried the Cajun turkey burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was average. Nothing special. The jalapeño aioli was good. The sweet potato fries were not good. Lacking flavor. Needed the BBQ sauce to dip in for sure. Granted I tried a burger but I expected more flavor. I do not plan to go back.

I'll keep going back!

By Doc L |

We just went for dinner for the second time, both times with the same friends (another couple). The overall experience was outstanding. Service is professional and attentive. The food is excellent. I love the sweet potato chips with the guacamole. All of our plates were clean at the end. I can't recommend one dish over any of the others because they've all been good. Our dinner for two, with drinks but no dessert, was $90 for the two of us.

Cool and Upbeat

By Robert H |

Really like this little restaurant. In a cool area of Austin called Domain North. Lots of shopping and other restaurants in area. Food and service both amazing. Clean and modern decor. Prices a little high but no other negative. Have been twice and will go again.

Best Food in the Domain

By Marty S |

This was our 4th visit to Doc B’s and once again, we were not disappointed. The food is truly from scratch and very fresh. My wife simply raves about the Knife Salad for its texture and flavor. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was amazing. They have a good selection of craft beer from Austin and other parts of Texas. I’d say a family of three would spend about 65.00 on a good lunch with drinks. If you are looking for parking, I recommend parking directly across from the restaurant in the garage. From there, you can walk to Nordstrom’s, the Apple store, and other smaller shops close by.

Hidden Gem in North Domain!

By Delia G |

This restaurant is a little hidden from all the other restaurants at North Domain and Rock Rose but you have to try it. I enjoy trying new restaurants and went with some friends for lunch. The service was exceptional and Chuck our waiter was very friendly. I really liked how all the staff help out and would walk around to clear plates or provide more water. I had their special of the day which was a Tuna Burger and it was delicious. I ordered the elote as a side dish and that was delicious as well. For a drink Chuck recommended the The Crazy Beautiful which is what I ordered without the spice and he was right on point. I'll come back for that drink.

Tom O

By Tom O |

We were in Austin for a wedding and looking for a place for lunch. My daughter suggested this restaurant for lunch as it was near our hotel in the Domaine. We we arrived, it was before noon and I'm glad we went early because by noon on a Friday, the restaurant was packed by lunch. On the food suggestions, we had the chicken wings starter, which was outstanding. Around 26 wings stacked in a pyramid in a bowl and cooked in a sauce and sprinkled with garlic salt, they were outstanding. We then shared a Wedge burger, medium rare with blue cheese, carmalized bacon, tomato and and egg. Wow was it great. We also had the side of coleslaw which was made with cabbage and kale. This was a dish we could have just eaten by itself. The service staff was on the ball and constantly monitored our soft drinks and water plus we were served rolled warm towels for the face and hands when eating the wings and burger. It was a great lunch and one of those must visit restaurants while in Austin.

Fantastic service and a tender filet

By cdnusbaum |

My husband and I visited this restaurant for dinner and overall were very pleased. The atmosphere is upscale and well decorated, but still warm and friendly. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was not my favorite version, but it was very good. We both ordered to filet mignon. We ordered them medium. Both were very tender and juicy, though we like just a little less char on the outsides. I ordered mine with the elote corn, which was very good, as were the smashed potatoes. Our service was excellent; it was attentive, friendly, and prompt. We look forward to returning and trying other dishes soon!

Nice restaurant in the domain.

By Thepik |

The food and service was great. The tables for a larger party however were quite small. We had some people sitting on the corner and our plates didn’t fit comfortably. The server, and food made us forget about it as everything we ordered was delicious.

Bad Service

By Redai |

The service is very bad. We waited 20 min for the waiters to attend us, so we left. I told them and they didn’t make anything.

Great Addition in the Domain Area

By confqueen |

This has become my favorite stop in the Domain Area for lunch or dinner. It is easy to access as they are not in the middle of the Domain craziness. They also offer valet parking and take reservations. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is creative and wonderful. Today, I had the fish special which came with a fresh veggie side. I had the house salad which I shared because it is so large. It is made with cornbread croutons and a wonderful mix of veggies, eggs, bacon, corn... The service is always spot on. Other menu items include all types of burgers, pizza, steaks (after 5) and a wok bowl which I still need to try as it looks so good. I have had the oyster taco which are out of this world (but spicy) and the steak. The soup is homemade. Did I mention I have been here a lot. The food is just that good.

Great Food, Great Management

By Warm Weather Traveler |

One of the best compliments you can pay a restaurant is being surprised to learn it is part of a chain. We frequent this place often at The Domain in Austin, but until I visited Trip Advisor to write my review, I had no idea there were multiple locations. The food is always great and the atmosphere is trendy and upscale/casual. The drinks are good and the craft beers on tap are plentiful. The one time we had a less than great experience (the place was crowded and a management trainee gave us an eyeroll when one of the members of our group of 6 politely asked about a lack of the usual amount of protein in a salad, a wine order was messed up, and after being given a table reserved later on the condition we be done by then, we were told repeatedly we had to be gone to the point it wasn't worth it), the General Manager came to us, seemed genuinely concerned that we did not have a perfect experience, and comped our meal. This kind of service is too often lacking--especially in multi-city restaurants--and it ensured that we will continue to return for the fantastic entrees and ambiance. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly good experience on a quick drop-in at the Domaine

By j c |

On the patio, nice ambiance, food – all tasty! Received quickly. Manager very friendly and helpful. Great service and recommendations from server named Brie! Bartender accommodated custom cocktail request and made it well. Food ordered: Housemade Guacamole - Doc B's 'famous' sweet potato chips (really YUM !) Sesame Chicken Lettuce Wraps sweet & spicy slaw, peanuts, noodles (a lot, and very good) Pepperoni pizza - marinara, shredded mozzarella (not bad for not specializing in pizza) Oven Roasted Wings with reggiano and chimichurri (yes, very good low carb snack!) Drinks ordered: A Whiskey Smash (On Tap) - Straight Bourbon, lemon, mint, tonic, crushed ice Custom made request – Vieux Carre (thanks for the extra effort!) Crazy Beautiful (Straight Up) - Vodka, Voveti, elderflower, spiced pear (new favorite of spouse) Will definitely go back!

Doc B is well worth a try.

By mr_larry_smith |

This was our first visit to Doc B. It proved to be as good as we were led to believe. The venue was very good with seating options: inside dining, inside bar, outside. The service, menu and food were all excellent. After dinner we took a nice walk around the neighborhood.

Nice Happy Hour

By karouselkid |

Gathered with family and friends for a last afternoon birthday celebration. Restaurant was quiet, which gave us the opportunity to talk and catch up. The service was attentive and helpful and the happy hour drink specials were priced right! We ordered a variety of snacks. The winner has to be the fresh guacamole and sweet potato chips! My son is already asking to go back for another visit before we leave town.

One of The Best

By QDOGG8 |

This is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit Chicago so of course we are going to visit when it’s right up the street in Austin! The service and atmosphere at this location is great and the food and drinks are outstanding as usual!

Wonderful outdoor patio with misters—great service and food!

By LBHouston11 |

Caleb was our server and he was excellent—he is brand new to Doc B’s. Cobb chicken salad (I got grilled chicken) was great; hamburger with cole slaw—really lovely patio -very upscale.

poor serice

By kathryn s |

we had reservations for a long time with a large 12-15 person party, so it's not like we sprung this on them unknowingly. We show up and it takes 30 minutes to get any drinks, they gave us water only five minutes before our drinks, and another ten minutes later they took our orders. Then a few of the drink orders were forgotten, eventually the server was replaced with a manager & we were just all around disappointed.

Tasty but Pricey

By Vanessa A |

Tasty but pricey. Solo trip so sat at the bar. The service was awesome. Ordered the Cobb salad and a side of fries... and a few glasses of vino! Everything was flavorful and fresh. No complaints on the food except portion sizes are small comparative to the prices you pay. Overall great experience and would definitely dine again!

Hanging with the mini

By JSLoveis13 |

We ordered the Mac and cheese, traditional cheeseburger and a chicken wok out bowl.. everything was good. Nothing to write home to mom about but nothing to complain about either.. I would possibly come back. I think there were a few other things I could try on the menu.

Quality and Affordable in the Domain

By hlenett |

Doc B’s is my go to dinner stop in the Domain. It can get crowded but is rarely overwhelming. The background music is usually classic rock and the patrons seem to fit that target demo. Food is very good with enough uniqueness to give it a different touch. The Angry Meatball is spicy and a full pound. I’ve enjoyed the chicken parm and the wok bowls. My partner almost always gets the Knife and Fork Cobb salad. I have to take a point off for lackluster service. It isn’t bad but it is nothing special. Every time I have been seems to take forever from clearing the table to presentation of the check. That may just be us but once we are done and declined dessert we are ready to go. They have a dog friendly patio and it is usually full if the weather is nice. It is away from Rock Rose by Nordstrom so you might miss it but you really shouldn’t.

Fantastic Feasts

By pdSixty8 |

Standing outside in the hot Texas sun waiting for my wife to study the menu like she will be tested later I had told her before we arrived at the Domain Northside we needed to try a different restaurant. The outside of this place was a modern setting seeing a large outdoor patio. People kept walking in making me eager to join them since I was starving, but she decided to give a try and in we went. The inside was also ultra shic decor. Grey walls with artwork and the bar had nothing hanging above of it. The whole place felt very open. We were seated near the bar with a padded bench seating on one side and bar stools on the other. With lunch and brunch menus in hand I read them both. It was sort of like bar food on steroids where most items involved different types of burgers. I was not interested in red meat today so explored other options. I ordered a local beer from draft and water. We had several people come by but our main waitress took our order. Upon scanning the brunch menu I had to try the “Our 'Famous' Candied Bacon” as a side. There are other options on the menu from chicken, salads, fish, and even wok bowls. I selected the “Pan Roasted Chicken“ and my wife the “Traditional Cheeseburger” with “Sweet Potato Fries”. I was surprised seeing so many staffers making the rounds keeping their customers happy. Soon our bacon arrived in a glass sparkling with honey texture. It was not limp with grease but stiff and slightly warm. One bite and I was in heaven. The best bacon I have ever had as long I can remember. Four pieces to share or fight over. Soon our food arrived and nicely presentable. Two pieces of chicken with a miso demi-glace & quinoa salad was sitting there waiting for me to eat. The chicken was unbelievably delicious and so moist with flavor. Luckily I was very hungry where one would be enough but two filled me up for the day. It’s seems like austin is a foodie town and if you can make it then bye bye. I tasted some of my wife’s meal and the burgers was very good including the sweet potato fries. My plate was getting so attention the people next to ask what it was and how it tasted. I believe one I them ordered it but they relocated to the outdoor patio after asking me if it’s always freezing cold inside. It was a bit chilly but not stopping me from enjoying my scrumptious bacon plus it was like 100 outside. I recommend either parking in the garage behind Nordstrom or use the parking valet service right in front. Doc B’s is definitely living up to the high ATX dining standards and will return.

Expensive for what you get, loud and poor service

By Boopers |

We went here when it first opened. Great service, sat at the bar. Happy Hour prices were a bit expensive and not much to choose from. Came a second time, they eliminated happy hour. Came a third time, they added happy hour back but with a different menu. Weren't impressed but tried a fourth time last week and took out of town guests. Service was terrible. One guest didn't receive her meal and we had to ask about it. Waitress blamed it on a mix up in the kitchen but she clearly forgot about it and didn't even notice one of us didn't have a meal. Our guests said they never need to visit again. Same for us. It's loud and full of people who want to be seen. I was hoping it would become our favorite place after the first visit but went downhill from there.

My favorite place to dine and relax!

By Rebecca V |

LOVE this place! Consistently has outstanding service by bartenders, serving staff, and hostesses. Excellent food and atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly. Every time I come here, it is a positive experience. HIGHLY recommend!

Nice meal

By WereldreizigerM |

Enjoyed lunch at the terrace. The salad was tasteful (and huge, especially for European standards) and staff was friendly and efficient.

Pricy

By Sherry T |

Good food and drinks bit pricey, but expected for the location. Outdoor seating was nice but live music was way to loud. Service was good. Would dine there again away from live band.

Disappointed for a family birthday.

By Leslie C |

We started with a reservation for 15 made by my son's fiancé for his 34th birthday dinner. We were there on time and let them know. We were still waiting for some others to show and a few had cancelled but we ended up with around 14 showing up. They first sat us in two booths with our backs to each other because they had given away the table we had reserved. A little annoyed, we asked to be sat outside on the patio if we could all sit together somewhere?? Nope. They just moved us to two other booths. Unable, again, to communicate with the other table. My son didn't even get to sit with his girl throughout the dinner and no one seemed to care. He stood through most of it between the booths so he could talk to everyone. It was ridiculous. I will say the food was delicious. Four stars for food. Not much else I can compliment on. They seemed overwhelmed with the crowd and unable to create the situation we made reservations ahead for. I felt hurried and ignored. I don't advise going there with a large group.

Scummy salmon

By Sue F |

Just pooped in for a meal for one. Attentive service and lovely outside seating with fans and mist to allow comfortable dining despite the heat. I chose the salmon but with the Asian house salad - it was absolutely delicious, possible the nicest and best cooked salmon I’ve ever had. Hoping to return before I head back to UK

Good Fun

By Wally |

Good food at fair prices, easy parking with free valet also available. Great chicken wings cook at 700 degrees.

Good Medicine

By Allen P |

What a great business lunch! A wide selection of items for everyone, well prepared and delivered promptly. Even though I ordered something simple like a marinated chicken kebab, it was well seasoned and prepared. Good medicine!

Favorite Domain Restaurant!!!Excellent food!

By Natasha Cotti |

My Dad and I enjoyed the Wedge burger, chicken wings and iron cast mac and cheese. OMG, the mac and cheese was the best I've ever had! Highly recommend! Loved the burger and wings too (chimichurri sauce was excellent!) Shoutout to our server, Shane, for amazing service! He was attentive, engaging, funny and outgoing! My Dad and I loved him! We hope to come back very soon and try the dessert! This is our favorite restaurant in the domain now! I will recommend to all my friends/family. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Great food and service.

By Woody H |

Stopped in here by accident on a Sunday @ noon and what a nice surprise. They had live music on the patio...acoustic...good vibe. Sat at the bar and had two very nice salads. (Tuna and Brussel sprouts/kale/shrimp....really tasty and fresh. Carlos was our server...nice young man who knew the menu and was on top of his service game. Will definitely be back. Check this place out when you can.

Amazing & delis!

By Jenny T |

This hidden gem is in the Domain by Nordstrom. I went with a girlfriend to catch , Lilly & Hazy greeted us with smiles & made us amazing margaritas. The bowls are amazing . You can choose rice or noodles and protein or veggies . Flora is a server & always a joy to converse with. If you like Perry’s & Paul Martin you will love this place !!!

Dr. Guacamole

By Allen P |

What a fantastic experience! Everything from the appetizers to the main course was perfectly prepared. Best guacamole I had ever tasted, and the salsa was memorable as well. I cannot wait to get back.

Incredible food, FANTASTIC service!

You are treated like royalty here plus the food is fantastic! Happy hour is some of the best in town. Try the Crazy Beautiful cocktail!

Great Food, Great Drinks, Great Service

By Dream28298423288 |

I had to pick up an order at Nordstrom, so I got the chance to dine at one of my favoritest restaurants in Austin! This time Gus, the bartender, was my server. The West Coast Steak Sandwich has always been my go to here, but I asked Gus about the ribs and he highly recommended them. I ordered them and he was right - they were amazing! he was right! Then I asked him about the Wok Out Bowl - and he was recommended that, too. I ordered that to take home. Thanks, Gus, for the awesome recommendations!

Delish

By Apanda8 |

I came here on Saturday night for a surprise birthday dinner for a friend. The restaurant had set up two tables across from each other to fit the whole party. I can say that was slightly weird as people had to table hop so we could have conversations with everyone. It worked so no worries there. The service was excellent and it was a little surprising since Doc B's has only been open for a few weeks now. This place has already gotten their service down with no hiccups. Now on to the food. Our table ordered the housemade guacamole that came with sweet potato chips. I am a huge fan of sweet potatoes so this was already going to be a favorite in my book. The sweet potatoes were crispy and the guac tasted fresh and paired well together. Our table also ordered the oven roasted chicken wings listed as 700o baked, chimichurri, reggiano. The wings came out in a tower (see pic). The wings were flavorful and crispy. My husband ordered the MAMA B'S CHICKEN PARM : marinara & thin-sliced mozzarella with sautéed broccoli. I didn't have the chicken parm but I did grab a piece of broccoli. My husband loved his meal and said he would get again. I ordered the salmon wok out bowl because I wanted something healthy, filling, and could meet my food intolerances (gluten free and dairy free). I decided on the wok out bowl and told the server my food intolerances so he could alert the kitchen when prepping. The wok out bowl came with a flavorful piece of salmon (cooked perfectly), fresh veggies, quinoa, chopped cashews, tossed in a sweet and spicy Thai sauce. It is a nice size portion and the taste was flavorful. It could see the wok out bowl being my go-to meal when I come back here in the future. Note if you come here for HH, I learned you should sit at the bar. They have candied bacon strips which are AMAZING!! Our server snatched us a few pieces to try.

Great selection!

By texny |

Doc B’s serves a variety of food from seafood to Asian to Italian. Tasty food and very friendly, helpful service staff. The Austin location is right in the middle of the Domain, so plenty of shopping available.

The Food is Almost Too Pretty to Eat!

By MamaBear PopTart |

We went on a Friday evening arriving a little after 6:00 p.m. After a demanding day, it felt great to be greeted immediately. My friend had arrived a few minutes before me and had already been seated. Kaitlyn was our waitress and took very good care of us. I opted for the soup of the day, Chicken Noodle and the Heirloom Tomatoes and Beets Salad, my friend had Grilled Salmon with Kale Slaw and a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was nicely presented. The soup wasn't a typical one it was creamy with ample pieces of chicken and the noodles were small and looked like little bowties and it was scrumptious. And not only was the salad pretty but the blend of heirloom tomatoes, golden/red beets, cheese, candied pecans and the gold coast vinaigrette was amazing. I did not partake of the Salmon or Kale Slaw but my friend's plate reflected that she was very pleased with her selection to the extent that she asked to speak to the Manager. Thank you Lindsay for taking the time to stop by our table. The service was great, the staff was wonderful and extremely attentive. Not once did we have to ask for anything even water refills. My glass never made it past half full the entire dining experience. I think that just about says it all. It was a wonderful dining experience. The location was great, valet parking is provided or there is a parking garage right across the street, the atmosphere is pleasant and seating is available for both inside and out. Can't wait to go again.

Excellent salads

By Helmut |

Stopped for a quick business lunch and I was impressed by the delicious Brussels sprout salad. Service was attentive and sitting outside a treat. Worth a repeat.

Fun & Lively

By N0t4Us |

I loved the feel and vibe of this place. In the Domain, one of the coolest places in the city, the food and drinks were good, the bar was lively and full of energy. This seems like a really fun place to hang out. Surely a place to give a try.

Great family restaurant

By LBHouston11 |

Food was delicious-service was great. Ate on patio, and asked for misters to be turned on but they be never did—-it was hot and sticky. Loved the fried chicken, Asian bowls guacamole and chips-all great. Would definitely recommend-but Indoors unless the weather is cooler!

Great Food with very nice bartenders

By Jamie W |

My husband and I love coming to Doc B's! Highly recommend the Pan Roasted Chicken. It is so tender and the ginger miso sauce is amazing! We also really like the chicken parm, filet mignon, and carnitas sandwich. Right now they have a chocolate cake for dessert and it's got just the right of richness and density where it not overwhelming. Their happy hour lasts until 7pm and its 7 days a week, which is fantastic!! Maci, Matthew and Carlos are the best. Extremely personable. Ryan, the GM, is super nice! All around, definitely a place to check out if you are looking for great food!

Excellent restaurant in the Domain

By BushkaTexas |

Great restaurant in the Domain in Austin. Very good menu with different selections and all were excellent! Need to offer sweet-n-low with tea since the other types you offered are actually now on a list that are not good for you. Good atmosphere, fun place to be located in with shopping and other restaurants, bars, nearby. Don't use the open table app because according to them there were no reservations but I called and got one and when we got there, there were plenty of tables.

The freshest food ever!!

By ASKGwenCash |

I was looking for a restaurant in the Domain that would have a good salad as I avoided Mexican food and BBQ, therefore, I stumbled upon this new restaurant that has now been open for 4 months. So fairly new. I did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with the food, service, and atmosphere. The dish I ordered was a. Grill chicken with cilantro, corn, edamame, tortilla strips & agave vinaigrette dressing. This was one of the freshest salads I have ever eaten. If you are in Austin and in the Domain area and are looking for REAL fresh food, then you must give this place a try. I actually got there just in time for their incredible happy hour. Also, it is great for solo dining out.

Dinner with the fam

By Brandi B |

Chose Doc Bs because of several gluten free and healthy options. Husband had gluten free pepperoni and liked it. I had grilled chicken and broccolini. Kids menu had many options. Cider choices too! We enjoyed our dinner, atmosphere was fun.

Extensive Menu

By Marco |

Located in The Domain in north Austin. Good service, nice atmosphere and wide selection of food. Guacamole appetizer with sweet potato chips was the best. Sandwiches, salads and hot chicken was sampled. All were OK. Next time we will try the entrees.

Wonderful food

By Chad W |

Service is great. The regular house salad is the best salad I have had. There is live music during the week.

If you have patience, it's worth the wait

By WOWFactorNeeded |

Great place to dine at medium-high price range. Situated at the Domain which is convenient to walk after getting full. Their food was good although the wait time was ridiculously long. This is our first time dining at this restaurant and will consider dining here again. Ordered sweet tea but they don't have it sweet. They're willing to give you syrup to put it yourself.

Amazing

By Lindsey S |

Food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back. Out server was new and very informative about the menu...I was impressed. Great experience from the time we came in until the time we left.

The Best Hour in Austin

By bkgetaway |

Everything we had off the happy hour menu was delicious and the $3 well drinks where yummy as well. We had the roadhouse burger, spicy crispy chicken sandwich and a individual pepperoni pizza. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

As Advertised

By ShadyBiscuits |

Everything is apparently made in house from scratch and it was noticeable. The guacamole with sweet potato chips tasted freshly made. We had a guacamole hater at our table who actually liked it. So that’s a plus! Right? The service was fantastic and the portions were decent. It can be pricey but for quality food I think it’s worth it. We had the Danish barbecue ribs, grilled chicken salad, and the “I didn’t pay attention to what my friend ordered but it looks like a crispy chicken salad.” The crispy chicken is actually crispy and light, the ribs were tender and flavorful, and the salad had an awesome dressing. Check it out! I know we’ll be back.

Nice jazz vibe

By EricPBliss |

We dropped by on a whim having just picked something up nearby at Nordstrom. The jazz band playing live was quite a surprise and really set the scene. I noticed heater outside for the cold front that hit were on and a few people were out enjoyin a full dinner. I for one loved the jazz band, and our bartenders, Taylor and Lindsey, were vey attentive and were able to answer several questions my wife had regarding wine sales (she's a Sommelier) and such. The chicken was very moist, and the kale and brussel sprout salads were fantastic. We really enjoyed just hangin out at happy hour, but plan to return next week for a more formal dinner. I simply loved the vibe.

Very nice vibe and new upscale casual menu

By Bill78727 |

Went to celebrate a friends birthday, made reservations for 4 arrived early for drinks at HH and overall had a very pleasant meal. Wasn't crowded on a Monday so relaxed kitchen and staff. Had HH which was no big value at $1-$3 off drinks so $10 instead of $13. Delicious carmelized bacon strips at bar. Attentive service by bartender. Had Italian Sausage, Kale and Rigitoni entree which was very good and not a marinara sauce but a broth. Wok Bowl was a good choice w 4 meats, two styles and 3 carbs to select. Sizes were ample. Hamburger with fired egg and blue cheese was attractive.

Tasty and plentiful portions

By rickymx |

All four of us thought our lunch was very tasty. The tomato bisque soup was stellar. The stir-fry bowl was great and the shrimp salad was huge. Decor is sort of ski lodge-y which was comforting on a cold December day. Staff was appropriately engaging and attentive. One of the better spots in The Domain.

Great Happy Hour!

Just because my phone wouldn't allow me to properly check-in at Doc B's doesn't prevent me from testifying and singing songs of praises for this astounding establishment. OMG, Doc B's puts the 'H' in Happy Hour! The decor is clean, sleek, and modern. This classy, upbeat, upscale venue will not downscale your wallet. A fellow foodie has been ranting and raving about the $5 HH cheeseburger so I ordered it, medium rare and now I am ranting and raving. The savory quality beef patty, topped with age cheddar, thinly sliced onion and pickle made in-house on sesame seed bun, paired very well with delightful Pinot Project Pinot Noir. I also was able to sample the Kale Slaw which was phenomenal. Our barpersons/servers, Macy and Carlos, were extraordinary! I will be returning to partake of some of the delectable delights that I was eyeballing on menu. Indubitably!

Atmosphere, Service, and Good Food

By Dennis S |

We ate at Doc B’s on the recommendations of some friends on our last night in Austin. The atmosphere was great as was the service. The food was also very good, with my sister having a wok bowl with chicken, my wife having the lump crab cake stack, and me ordering off the happy menu having the baked wings, fries and a Celis wheat beer. As I said everything was great until we got to the desert and we ordered the chocolate cake and the tres leche . The chocolate cake was light and not as rich as we would’ve hoped it to be, but still OK. The tres leche was taken home and has not been eaten yet so I can’t comment on it. Overall a good place to have an afternoon lunch or from 4 to 6pm happy hour.

Great food but musty mister

By CousteauMunson |

Ate here for a work dinner. The weather was gorgeous and we ate outside. Walking through the patio, the misters were on and smelled really musty. We ate near the end, so once we got through the mist it was ok. I enjoyed the daily fish option that came with a cucumber salad. Margaritas were delish. Reason for the 3 rating was based on the misters.

Addictive Bar Snack--Candied Bacon

By Lynn P |

If you have a sweet & salty craving, stop at the bar first and enjoy a piece of bacon. Yes--it's there for snacking, and it's deliicously addictive. The food and service are excellent and the ambience is laid back Austin.

Super Wedgie

Doc B's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Domain area. Great menu, easy parking, and really good food. The Wedge Burger was exceptional! On the down side, I was served what I would describe as half an Old Fashioned. I have had drinks here before, and it was like someone shrunk it! The service was also much slower this time around. Go for lunch for snappier service.

good food. poorly managed.

Doc B's has a huge potential, but their management and service leaves a tremendous hole. food is good, turnover is high and managers should be trained or replaced.

Decent lunch

By Gary T |

We grabbed lunch here one day last week and while pricey the food was decent. Service was good and the kitchen was fast. I dined on the Wright Chicken Sandwich ($16) and it was tasty and filling. The person I was meeting with had the Tuna Salad ($21) and indicated that he enjoyed it. All in all, a decent experience for a chain restaurant business lunch, but expensive.

Perfect service and food!

Went here with family for late lunch on a Saturday and found the service and food to be excellent. One of the best side salads I have had in a long time. The live Jazz band was a nice touch, but just a little loud if you want a quiet conversation while dining. Perfect in every way and I look forward to many return visits as a family member just moved to an apartment in the Domain.

Relaxing lunch

By CEO |

We enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch at this restaurant. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The inside dining area is spacious and clean. House cocktails were well balanced. Chicken wings were delicious. Both the Kale and Brussel sprouts salads were fresh and tasty. Dressing was just right, not overpowering. Great desserts too- key lime pie & cheese cake. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Wait staff brought water soon after he introduced himself. He gave us enough time to get settled in and look at the menu. Also checked on us throughout the meal, cleared dishes and refilled our water glasses. Reception staff were also warm and friendly. A nice place to take a break from shopping at the Domain.

Excellent in Every Way!

We stopped in on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. It was happy hour so we decided to sit at the bar. The crispy oyster lettuce wraps were incredible. Crisp, excellent flavor. Superb food in a casual modern atmosphere! I want to give a big shout out to Matt who was top notch, friendly and a helpful bartender who took great care of us with drinks and our dinner!! The key lime pie was delicious.

Great Food, Great Drinks, Great Service!!!

Another amazing visit to my favorite restaurant in Austin and incredible service from my awesome bartender, Gus. I'm trying to work my way through the menu before I start repeating. Last night I enjoyed Rigatoni with our 1 lb. Angry Meatball and it was as delicious as every other meal I've ever had here. And even though I'm an Austin transplant from Chicago, Gus serves me Native Texan beer! I love this place!!!

Great food but average service

By Stephanie D'Agostino |

I made a reservation using open table for a family dinner with 8 people the day after Christmas. The only option available for reserving was outside which was fine. The day of I received a call to confirm my party size and I was given the option of inside or outside. My mom preferred inside so I asked if it in fact was available and was told yes. I was given the option of a large booth that fit a max of 8 (our party was either gonna be 7 or 8) or we could do the high top communal table that fit up to 16 and I chose the high top. Upon arrival, our options were the large booth (which wouldn't have fit 8, maybe 7 but 6 comfortably), 2 high top tables next to each other that were NOT moveable, or outside. The high top communal table I agreed to was no longer available..... so we settled for outside since it was the only option that worked for us. My mom was not happy. The service was good but nothing special, but I will not it was nice that they had several people running food so everyone got their food at the same time. The food was delicious! And the ambiance was nice with a small band playing!

Very friendly

My son, daughter in Law and very beautiful 2 year old granddaughter went here for early dinner Saturday and it was great. Our waiter, Ben was probably the best waiter I have had in a very long time. Son had the Dragon burger, I had the turkey burger and DIL had chicken all very good. Baby was really enjoying the kitchen view from our booth and wait staff was all very friendly to her. Would definitely go again! Especially if I could get Ben as my waiter!!

Slow Cooked Rib

By JonathanB |

I tried their daily special on Sunday 02/17/2019. They had a very special slow cooked rib. It was the best rib I've ever had. This place is in the heat of the domain strip that has a variety of restaurants. They also have a good selection of drinks for those that like to drink. I enjoyed the environment with close friends and family and definitely will visit this place again in the future.
