Fantastic location, creative menu, superior service “Issac”, great value. A great recommendation if your around the Magnificent Mile area.

Had a lovely evening hosted by bartender Isaac who was really helpful and friendly. Excellent local beer and tasty burgers. Recommend the Dragon Burger which has a good kick to it.

We chose this restaurant because it was less than a block from our hotel! We thought it was so good that we ate lunch there all 3 days we were in town. Great food, and reasonably priced for the neighborhood. The things we enjoyed most were the Guacamole as an appetizer, and the burgers and the fried chicken sandwich were show stoppers but the Cole slaw was easily the best item on the menu, although the Kale slaw is good as well. The bowls were another popular choice! Overall great experience

I really enjoyed Doc B’s. The wing appetizer and guacamole were fresh and well seasoned. The bowls were also yummy and vegetarian friendly. Cute place too.

Was looking for a solid burger place so we tried Doc B's and they really delivered. Really nice, casual interior that is a few steps above the street with open air tables facing but sitting above the street. Service was good by everyone we encountered and our server was great. Manager even checks on tables as well which you normally wouldn't expect in a place like this. My burger was very good, great seasonings and toppings which are different from run-of-the-mill places. My wife's dish was also terrific. Highly recommend.

Discovered Doc B's on a business trip last year and sought it out again when in Chicago recently. It's in a great location just off Michigan Avenue. The food is really tasty. I especially like the Mr. Walton chicken sandwich. The quinoa salad side is really good as well. But their homemade key lime pie is the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. Had to put that in all caps for emphasis. Guantareed whenever I'm back in Chicago for business I'll be heading to Doc B's.

Since long wait times are the norm now, unless you have reservations, we were happy to get same-day reservations here. They have a nice variety of choices and everything was delicious. We shared the guacamole with sweet potato chips - yum! And each got one of the bowl options and those were yummy also. It is not a large restaurant but has plenty of seating. When we were there partitions were up between all of the booths, which was nice. There is window seating near the bar with large open windows but those are highly coveted! Staff was lovely and drinks were good as well. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

This is a small restaurant in a great location....the food is great and lots of healthy options. The atmosphere is great... can get pricey but cheaper options as well. The best part for us was the customer service.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service was good. I had the buttermilk chicken, it was lovely, however very crispy, had to take some of if off. My friends enjoyed there's too, however one said his food wasn't warm. He was too tired to say anything but I'm sure they would of rectified it. Overall, would go back again if in the area 🙂

Stopped by on last day for lunch on the run quick service food cooked nicely. Food was above average. Prices are average. Location fantastic. Very busy popular spot. We had burger and salad. They were average but service fantastic.

Like most of us, it’s important to plan your restaurant options whilst on holiday. Doc B’s made the cut, so we gave it a go. We were seated in a booth, DB’s has a nice vibe, decor and a decent menu. My wife settle on a California Salad, with Kale, roasted sweet potato, corn, pistachio’s, wasabi peas, cranberries, tortilla strips along with a roasted garlic dressing. The profile and flavor was well received. She enjoyed it very much. I had a Backyard Burger which was topped with Canadian bacon, an onion ring and shredded cheddar along with bbq sauce, I enjoyed it, the cheese wasn’t melted? I subbed my fries for sweet potato fries. Nonetheless, we had a great experience. Our server Charlotte was courteous and professional. We like the food and atmosphere. Which made it easier for us to order out 2 days later. We had their Danish BBQ Ribs…fabulous. We ordered a side of Cole Slaw and a California salad again. Everything was exceptional. Thank guys for a great experience and food.

My wife and I were hitting the post Christmas sales and decided to have lunch at Doc B’s. We weren’t disappointed. The restaurant is very clean. The service was great as was the food. Moderately priced for the Magnificent Mile. Cajun fish sandwich was delish. We’ll be sure to return.

The carnitas sandwich was the best pork sandwich I’ve had. The hand cut sweet potato fries are the best I’ve had. My husband and daughter shared the Cajun chicken sandwich and loved it. They do a verbal kids’ menu. The kids’ cheese pizza is still a full size pizza. We would definitely go back here!

My daughter and I had lunch at Doc B’s on a recent visit to Chicago. We ordered the guacamole with sweet potato chips and it was delicious. I had the knife and fork Cobb salad and she ordered the Chinese chicken salad. All of the food was freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. You may have ordered these items at a different restaurant before, but Doc B’s brings them to a whole new level. I highly recommend Doc B’s if you’re in Chicago.

I absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant and considering the location that much more impressive. There is a welcoming feel here which I appreciate. We were walk-ins and they seated us at their outside seating. The menu is one of those menus that has so many things I like that it was hard to decide what to get. We saw the noodle bowls being eaten next to us and decided that was the way to go. I had the shrimp noodle bowl with lo-mein noodles and vegetables. The bowl came with a generous amount of large shrimp and plenty of fresh vegetables. My wife went a similar direction with brown rice and tofu. Both of us loved the meal. Special mention for our server Michael, very efficient, friendly and knowledgable he made our lunch that much more enjoyable...thanks. We loved this place so much we ordered take out for our travel day when we were headed home, this they handles very efficiently as well. I strongly recommend this restaurant for the great food, service, very reasonable prices and fantastic location.

My friends and I aren’t in Chicago often and this place made the whole day drip 10x better!! Great service and food, would totally recommend.

Ordered takeout - a chicken salad and broccoli. Both were quite small and the chicken portion very small! Cost me over $30. The ginger sauce for the salad was the highlight of the two dishes… I wouldn’t order take out again from here, esp if hungry.

This restaurant is located near Michigan Avenue and is very convenient for the many hotels nearby. We stopped in at their Happy Hour to enjoy some food and drinks. The Perfect House Salad was fresh, plentiful and delicious; I paired it with a cup of soup which was also house-mad and delicious. My husband ordered the BBQ Pork Ribs. The staff was friendly, quick and very knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I will definitely come back here the next time I am in Chicago!

This is a great choice for lunch or dinner. There are a variety of more casual style dishes, the food is very good, and the ambiance is lively and entertaining, including good views of the busy kitchen and lots of TV screens. We enjoyed our Cobb salad and peanut noodle salad, and our shared strawberry gelato and sugar cookie dessert. Prices are very good for downtown Chicago. Do make a reservation at this busy spot.

The food was delicious and there was something for everyone. The portions are on the generous side, but not quite enough for two. You can definitely share if you are order an appetizer too. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken salad. The salad is pre-mixed with dressing, next time I will order dressing on the side, a little too much. The artichokes where delicious but I can't tell you about the dipping sauce...as they didn't need it. Unfortunately the waitress did not get the order correct. I ordered my salad without blue cheese and another party order his burger without cheese, both came with cheese. Thus we sent our orders back to the kitchen.

We had dinner here as soon as we arrived in Chicago after a long flight. For these we chose this no-frills place. The food was very good. My ribs were huge and also the other portions very plentiful. Fast and courteous service. Price OK!

Cozy, trendy place. Tasty burgers that are served nicely. Service went very smoothly and friendly. Highly recommended!

Burger was ok. Nothing splendid. I asked for extra crispy fries & they were cold & wilted. Food did come quickly & my coke kept full.

This place was great. Very close to where we stayed at the Drake Hotel. Service was exceptional. Food was great. It's a little on the smaller side for seating, but we only waited 10 minutes with a party of 5 at 8:30 pm on a Saturday.

Being that there is a Doc B's in my hometown I thought I would try it out. Located on a busy street, the outside tables were nice, if not a bit loud. Inside, quieter and cozier. But the attraction (or not) was the food. I thought for the quality and quantity of food, the price point really was off. I wouldn't rate it poor (2 stars), but it wasn't really average either. Plenty of other choices.

Good sandwiches, interesting cocktails but that could not negate the sticky table and average service not to mention they only had menus in size 8 font that you had to ask for if without your phone for scanning.

The perfect salad is in fact perfect. The bbq chicken pizza is excellent - not too saucy and lots of caramelized onions. Great service!

We had attended an event in the area and were hungry around 8:30p. We chose Doc B's because it was close and open. Not impressed. We we're warmly welcomed and seated quickly in the bar area. And then we sat. And sat. And sat some more, even as the four (!) people working at the hostess desk watched. Finally, as we started to get up from the table to leave, one of them approached. She explained "our server would be with us soon" and offered to take a drink order. However, she had no idea what beers were on-tap. Turns out, our server...who appeared still more time later...was the bartender. He had been standing there the whole time, cleaning and staring into space. The bar was not busy. The food was average. A chicken sandwich was fine; regular fries were crispy and salty. A carnitas sandwich was dry and the sweet potato fries soggy. Service got no better. To pay our bill, we had to go up to the bartender...who was standing with his back to customers, counting money and doing paperwork. Head elsewhere. Lots of choices in this area and I am sure they can figure out how to provide a basic level of hospitality and service, which Doc B's couldn't.

Went here for happy hour. Someone mentioned in here to get the artichoke appetizer (not on happy hour menu but reasonable). It was amazing. So, so good. Also got the Brussel sprout salad and the guacamole. Both awesome. Great vibe, nice staff, wonderful food.

We were staying at the Trump Hotel and were looking to have a nice dinner in our room. We were exhausted and did not want to venture out into the busy city on a snowy night. One of the hotel staff recommended Doc B's and we were blown away by their extensive menu. We opted for the filet mignon with a loaded baked potato and candied bacon and had it delivered. The food arrived on time and was carefully packaged and still warm!! The meat was so tender and perfectly cooked. The candied bacon was to die for!! Dinner for 2 delivered was under $100 delivered! I would highly recommend!!

A great spot close to shops on Michigan Avenue. Excellent menu with lots of comfort food choices (wings, burgers, pizzas, salads, soups,...) prepared with the best quality ingredients which makes for a great lunch option at a reasonable price in this part of town. Always busy so make sure to book ahead of time....

My mouth is watering just typing the title. Go here, try a burger or a sushi bowl, it is all really good.

Food was excellent. The service was good. Their payment system was down when we tried to pay our bill. The server indicated we had to wait but some waited 45 minutes to receive thief bill. Really? You couldn’t take the number and run the card later. Not a back-up plan? Apparently not. We asked the server, what happens now and we’re told, ‘my Manager is yelling at them trying to get it resolved’. Sounds like great back-up plan.

I’ve had midwest ribs, southwest ribs, southern ribs BUT never fall off the bone Danish ribs like those served at Doc B’s! I had a rack and it was unbelievably delicious. On Walton St. if you want the unbelievable tasting ribs - go here. BEST RIBS in 50 years of eating ribs. Try it and decide for yourself!

Food was v good, staff were incredibly friendly, it was a place I looked forward to going to. Thanks for making my visits so special.

Dropped into Doc B right off Michigan Av for a quick lunch and was delighted by a really nice atmosphere, terrific lunch and amazing service. Didn’t realize I would be finding a new favorite place to visit each time I come to Chicago.

We recently spent the weekend in Chicago and ate at our friend's favorite little restaurant. Although it was a busy Saturday night, we were seated within 15 minutes. I had the matza ball soup, which was outstanding! Then I dove into Bob's Chocolate Cake. The slice was huge, moist, and delicious. We will definitely eat here on our next trip to Chicago.

Great Dirty Martini. The sweet potato chips and guacamole were excellent. Had the shrimp wok. Son had the wedge burger. With the potato’s with jalapeños sauce. Was great. Sever was Natalie. Very good. If you are in Chicago. Stop in.

I stopped here for a late lunch after my delayed flight. The lunch menu featured several sandwiches and other savory dishes. I chose the pepperoni pizza. It was delicious. There were mounds of fresh cheese and it was covered in small, tasty pepperonis. I would have given this place a five but my waitress seemed preoccupied chatting with her buds and not taking care of the customers.

Ate here for lunch. Packed, no tables but sat at Bar. Great atmosphere, bar wait staff A+, very attentive. A bit noisy, but tolerable. I had the butternut squash soup of the day, my husband had the Bernie Sandwich with fries. Fries were meh, sandwich was amazing, soup was superb. No complaints, other than the fries didn’t seem very fresh.

Thought the burgers were quite good as were the sides. However the service was painfully slow even to get simple things like water - let alone drinks from the bar. The service is what would detract from a better review

Repeat visitor when in town, great food and service even in a larger party. Salads are fresh & delicious, wok bowls are our favorites other than the burgers! Yumm

It was a random choice with the help of Google Maps and completely compensated. The staff very polite and friendly with highlight to the waitress Tania. I ate a West Coast Steak Sandwich with house salad that was simply perfect. The meat is soft to the point of breaking and to the point of perfect, delicious taste harmonizing with the other elements of the sandwich. The house salad accompanied with perfection, light and well seasoned.

Amazing place. Food and Service were fantastic. We are from Atlanta and my daughter loved it as well. It was just great all around.

This restaurant was very close to our hotel and we enjoyed two very good meals during our trip to Chicago. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend it.

This was a fun and enjoyable restaurant. Not fancy - apparently a chain - but the bowls were excess the wait staff were quite pleasant.

We came here because we saw all the positive reviews! Raphael (Caleb) was an amazing server!! We would come back just because of the pleasant atmosphere he provided us! The food he recommended for us was absolutely delicious!!! My girlfriend had the wedge burger, and I had the number 6. Both recommended by Raphael, and both were incredible.

Just had an amazing meal here. Have been in US in various places over last couple of weeks and this was definitely one of the best meals we have had. Comparatively reasonably priced. Our waiter Brendan so helpful and very attentive. All the staff were very nice and they all seem really happy in their work which helps make the customer experience. And if they are not happy then they are doing a great job at disguising it haha! Credit just also go to the management in selecting great staff and seemingly helping to make their workplace a pleasant place to be. Would highly recommend!

We decided to give Doc B's a try, based on TA reviews and the fact that it was right around the corner from the Westin on Michigan Avenue. We went for a late lunch and both had the Wok-Out Bowls. Mine was the shrimp with spicy Thai sauce and sticky brown rice, and it was fabulous! I'm craving it just thinking about it. My husband had the chicken with the sesame teriyaki sauce, which he said was a little bland. We saw several interesting looking plates coming out of the kitchen. We would definitely go back.

Casual place with great food, wine and great service. Was recommended by friends who live here. Very good find.

I chose Doc B’s mainly because of its proximity to 360 Chicago so I could have a meal after a nocturnal visit to the tower. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food which was excellent-especially the chicken paillard. The streetside ambience added to my enjoyment which was somewhat diminished by the rather sullen attitude of the male server who seemed to have taken a dislike to me, culminating in bringing my main course while I was still eating my salad. Definitely worth a visit, even if you’re not visiting 360 Chicago!

Went for an early dinner and had the guacamole for an appetizer and the carnitas sandwich. Both were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stopped here after reading a few reviews and so glad I did! There were plenty of fresh choices. I chose the tangled noodle salad with tofu. The tofu was crispy and the peanut dressing was tangy and savory. Everything else in the salad was also super fresh. I just know I’ll be craving this salad for awhile. The service was also efficient and super friendly. They seemed very concerned with any potential allergies and had an open kitchen to the dining room that appeared very clean.

Great service, extensive menu. Food was ok - nice serving sizes. Wok bowls lacked flavor. Service was prompt and good variety if you have a group or kids.

We decided to have dinner here during our last night in Downtown Chicago. Ordered red wine (Pinot Noir/Oregon) and my husband had a nice, cold beer. I loved the simple salmon and was impressed with the kale salad! John enjoyed his chimichurri steak too! We were very pleased with our meal! Shoutout to our server, Takumi! ♥️ The room was full and hot, but I think we were seated close to the kitchen - that may have been the reason for us feeling the heat. Nice , calm vibes… just what we needed before heading home the next morning.

Bustling at lunchtime, we waited a few minutes for a table. Husband had the fried chicken sandwich and a side of cole slaw. I had the quinoa salad. All really delicious, especially the cole slaw which we find often doesn't have enough vinegar.

Ordered pick up at this restaurant - both a chicken salad as well as a wok bowl. Service was done through notification of text. They were timely and the food was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend.

the staff at LV recommended this place to us. oh my gosh were were thrilled the hamburger was fabulous the staff was delightful full bar great wines and beers. so glad we ate here.. difficult to locate sorta hidden but well wroth the hunt. enter front eh street and walk up.

Went to Doc B’s for lunch today and really had a great experience. Toby was our waiter and he was attentive and patient as we took our time. We Did not feel rushed at all to leave which was nice. My husband had the Totrilla Soup it was good with just the right amount of spice. I had the Wedge Burger. It is a must try if you like Blue Cheese. My husband had the ahi burger and it was tasty. He added some of their creamy garlic dressing, which is to die for, and he said it made the sandwich. If you are looking for a casual place to eat I would definetly give them a try

My wife and I along with our adult son and girlfriend ducked into Doc’s on a rainy summer day because it was very close to our hotel. My wife and I each had a Stella draft and filet steak wok bowls and we both enjoyed the cold beer and hot, fresh food. The restaurant was pretty busy, so to avoid a wait, we had to sit adjacent to the bar at a lobar table that looked onto East Grand Avenue. We enjoyed the sights, but the restaurant was very loud and difficult to hear conversation with the person next to you. My son and girlfriend had chicken sandwiches and both were pleased. I felt that everything was adequately-priced as our total bill with a 20+% tip was $70. Service was friendly and adequate. I would recommend Doc B’s because of the variety on the menu and the excellent wok bowls.

The food was fresh and interesting, but not weird. not the same old, same old. Sean, our server, couldn't have been more accommodating to all the questions some of group had about the food. Prompt service on a very busy night.

We dined here for lunch. Busy. Good vibe. Nice menu. Lots of options. Good service. Open air in warmer weather.

This was an unplanned lunch during our weeklong visit to Chicago and it’s probably my favorite of all the places we ate. The location is great, near lots of shopping malls and other great spots to eat. The atmosphere is nice, casual, outside dining is available and the staff was great. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich that was very tasty. It wasn’t very spicy which was good but it could have used a little more kick to it. I also got the Kale Slaw which tasted a lot like the kale salad on Chick-fil-A’s menu. But the real star was the side of fries that came with my sandwich. I don’t know if I’ve ever had better fries. Maybe it was a fluke and they just happened to be seasoned perfectly and cooked just crisp enough. But this was one time that I was more interested in the side than I was for the main dish. Again, perfect. We also got Sangria, which was tasty, and my friend got the Cobb salad which she said was lovely. Overall it was a great meal, it didn’t break the bank, and I felt satisfied but not stuffed afterwards. Definitely recommend and would come again.

The food was really good. We ordered the Chicken Sandwich, Filet Mignon Sandwich, Turkey Burger, Sweet Potatoes Fries and Caramel Gelato Cookie Sandwich.

I loved the fish sandwich, all the food tasted so fresh! Their ceaft cocktails were also really good and this is one of not many restaurants that offers Casamigos tequila. My husband and I liked it so much, we went back next day with friends

Mid tier restaurant serving an array food for all diets and budgets. I had the the “not your mothers tuna salad sandwich”. It wasn’t to my liking. It’s a slab of tuna with cabbage and other toppings in a bun. It could have been better but it was difficult to bit through the chunk of tuna. Fries were a bit oily. My friend had the shrimp Mediterranean salad. It was excellent. Ok cocktails. Decent craft beer. Friendly fast and efficient service. Busy place. Would try again in the future.

Very different. Menu accessed by scanning QR codes and contact less payments i.e. no cash. Food was good. The wok bowl could have had more noodles in my opinion. I recommend the wings. $$-$$$. They offer brunch but only for takeout and with 48hr notice. Which is ideal for locals, not visitors living spontaneously.

Doc B's has a fantastic drink menu. From craft cocktails to a great selection of beers and wines, there's something to satisfy every palate.

We have walked by this place dozens of times and did not notice it. What a pleasant surprise. Only downside was the crowd and the noise. We went for lunch on a Friday and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait. We shared an Homage burger and a green salad. The salad dressing was delicious and so was the close sale....and, of course the hamburger. Perfectly cooked. The menu had lots of appealing options. Bright, friendly server. We will definitely be back but rather go on a quieter day.

Recently met a group of friends there. Food was good, service was good, but the noise level, due to music played, is horrible. My part asked, twice, if music could be turned down a bit, but it never happened, that we noticed. Can not hear the person next to you. So, if you want a place to go and chat, this is not it. Also, some nitwit decided, during heat wave, to open window, and let in all the heat and humidity. Bad idea.Guests were sweating, staff was visibly sweating. Both issues are management issues and need to be addressed.

We were hungry, and it was after 9 PM on a Tuesday Night in Chicago and were lucky enough to stumble on Doc B's Restaurant and Bar. It turned out to be a GREAT Find, as the food was absolutely wonderful. We had Kyle Efken for a waiter, who was very attentive. We also met Tijean Rodriguez, General Manager, who seemed to be everywhere at the same time! He told us about how the chef's prepared everything from scratch. The food was WONDERFUL and we can't wait to have another chance to enjoy it!

A short walk from the Drake hotel. Went for dinner and there was a short waiting list for a table. We sat at the bar for drinks while waiting. The bartender was very friendly and served our drinks quickly. After a 15 minute wait we were seated. Our server Morgan was at out table quickly for our orders. We ordered the Housemade Guacamole with Sweet Potatoe Chips as an appetizer. It was a very large portion and delicious. I had the Mama B's Chicken Parm and was also delicious and a very large portion. My wife had the Homage Burger and it was very large and delicious. Morgan's service was very attentive and friendly. We will return.

Delightful meal! We sat outside, watched the sun go down. The service was fast and excellent. The shrimp bowl with spicy sauce on rice was superb.

Just a few steps off Magnificent Mile. Fast, friendly service. Staff know the menu and can explain. Healthy options. Nice selction of beer on draft.

Great choice for after the Chicago marathon. They accommodated a large group with a reservation. Food and service were wonderful.

We visited a busy Sunday lunch time but staff was friendly. The food was delicious. I would particularly recommend the wok bowls - which is huge. Service was really good - after ordering a teriyaki sauce the waiter returned to warn us that the sauce contained fish. Also, since the glasses were fresh out of the dishwasher the waiter offered ice. Would definitely go again.

Excellent everything! We ate in the bar and bartender was very patient with my indecisiveness. Had filet, shrimp bowl, draft beer, water. Bill was around $55ish. Food was excellent, great atmosphere.

The Turkey Burger was quite good (avocado, onion and swiss). The fries were crispy. The atmosphere was a smidge loud, but not overwhelmingly loud. Good for a quick bite when you don't want to have a low-key meal.

We have actually eaten at Doc B’s several times. The food is always good, and the service is generally excellent. However, it is very noisy and crowded on a Saturday night, and the seating in the center unfortunately requires that you are practically sitting in the laps of the people on either side. It’s virtually impossible to have a conversation. If you hold out for one of the booths along the sides, it will be a totally different experience. Unfortunately, it tends to be very crowded and waiting isn’t always an option.

We had the most amazing food and service. CB was the sweetest man and business owner we’ve ever met. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and special in his city!

Matzo Ball soup much too salty. Wok bowl with quinoa was a very bad choice and way too much dressing. Waitress paid us little attention except to!try and get our order before our coats were even off, but the food server was very nice and helpful. Still a noisy place and now that the food is sub par, we will not be returning anytime soon. Will go to True Food instead. Front door is EXTREMELY heavy and hard to open.

We had a wonderful family dinner at Doc Bs. The food was delicious, the martinis were "knock your socks off" quality, the hostesses and servers were charming and the decor is pleasant. It is located at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Walton Street. We highly recommend Doc Bs.

This place is very good at what is does. Smaller place, but active and open environment. A bit loud, but not in a bad way. I splurged and busted the diet, ordered the hot chicken. Boneless chicken breasts with lots of crispy breading in a spicy habanero sweet sauce. The accompanying coleslaw had a blue cheese slant. It was spectacular! Hubby had a Cobb salad and it was also excellent. Modern spin on comfort food. Staff was very friendly as well. Recommended.

It was Mothers Day and we were looking for a special place to celebrate. Boy this place did not disappoint! The ambieance was delightful with cloth tables and fresh flowers on the way in. Noise was low enough we could hear everyone talk. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. Now to the important part - the food was the best we have had in Inidanpolis so far. The menu had options for everyone's tastes. I ordered the shish kaboob which was tender and juicy but it was spicy...never thought to ask. It had cilantro rice - delicious - and a cumcumber salad that we all agreed was great. My daughter was kind enough to trade dinners with me so I also got the chicken tacos. The mango salsa had enough sweet to conter the spicy on that meal. The side of corn was so good my daughter ate most of it. The chicken bowl was too spicy so I did not tasste it but all agreedd it was good. My husband got the fried chicken. It would have been better with a small side of slaw not the huge mound, and at least a roll. He enjoyed it none the less. I tried the slaw and felt it did not have enough dressing. There were children all around with families celebrating mothers day and outdoor seating. it is at a mall but there is an outdoor entrance. It is near Urban Outfitters and the Apple Store bu the mall entrancee was hard to find.

We were walking ion Michigan Avenue late afternoon (around 5pm)?and needed a quick bite to keep us going a little longer. Saw the sign and we decided to check it out. Turned out to be happy hour and a related menu with some interesting snacks My husband and I shared a mini margarita pizza that was not quite “mini”. 3 slices for each. It had a crisp crust, tasty tomato sauce and good cheese. Excellent pizza Then we also shared the sweet potato fries with guacamole and that was delicious Our son had the crispy spicy chicken sandwich with fries instead of coleslaw. And he said he really liked it - perfect was his feedback. The service was attentive, fast and good. Highly recommend eating here and would like to be back

Was absolutely packed on a rainy Saturday but was able to grab a spot at the bar. Great beers, very good service, and probably the best Buffalo Chicken Salad I've ever had. Highly recommend!

This was our last dinner in Chicago during a recent vacation. It was not memorable...which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but the place didn't make any lasting impressions with the exception of the candied bacon. Food was ok over all. You can't miss out on the candied bacon appetizer. Now that was truly something special! Service was ok - waiter didn't have much personality, but was prompt.

Doc B's is a modern American restaurant and bar, located in the upscale area of Gold Coast, at 100 E Walton Street, very close to N Michigan Ave. The restaurant looks very attractive from outside, where the outdoor dining area is now beautifully decorated with bright geraniums and other plants, and one can also see the indoor dining area from the street, especially on a warm, summer day, when the restaurant windows are open. I chose to dine indoors -- was welcomed by a very hospitable, friendly manager, and seated at a table near the window, facing the street. The views were just lovely! The manager brought me some cold sparkling water and a cup of hot decaf coffee. The menu is vast, for bigger appetites there's plenty to choose from -- burgers, sandwiches, chicken and steak entrees, seafood dishes, bowls, etc. Since it was getting late and I wasn't too hungry, I decided to order just soup and salad. The restaurant was very busy during the late lunch hour: it's a cheerful, hip place, with enough room to accommodate both small and large parties, plus there's a full bar, with all kinds of beverages. It took some time to wait for my order, but I didn't mind, since it was so pleasant to relax and drink water and coffee. Matzo Ball Soup was fresh-made and tasty, and the side Cucumber Salad (a la carte) was very large, also very tasty, especially some delicious tomatoes, that were in the salad, as well. I was also brought some toast -- in case, I would like to have those with my meal. The total for lunch came to $20.12, which is a very moderate price -- even for such light meal -- these days. The service couldn't be friendlier, making me feel welcome in the restaurant. The restaurant was full of customers -- and people were enjoying themselves. I also enjoyed my lunch, the contemporary ambiance of the restaurant, and the talk to the management and staff -- Many Thanks for lunch, see you another time! By the way, Doc B's restaurant at 100 Walton St was recommended to me by a friend, who works nearby.

Doc B's is a great restaurant in Chicago. The food and drinks are delicious. The service is terrific. There are so many yummy and healthy items on the menu. It is a nice place to go for a fun and casual evening out with family and friends.

Food was good, especially the candied bacon. Lots of gluten free options, but you have to ask about them because the menu is not marked.

Our food was fresh and delicious! Ate there our last night in Chicago because it was close to our hotel and we were tired. Relaxing atmosphere. Never felt rushed. Would definitely go again!

Dropped in for dinner on a friday evening. Not overly busy and shown to a booth table. Ordered food and drinks. All food good although the amount of cheese with the burger seemed excessive !!

Found this place after a day of shopping. It was across the street from Bloomingdale's and was a perfect location for us. As it is on the second floor it is easy to miss if your not looking for it, only found this using Trip Advisor. The staff was very friendly and prompt. While it was busy we were seated right away. Lots of good items on the menu to choose from. We had the Napa Burger and the Corned Beef sandwich. Both were great. Would definitely come back again to try more items here. Highly recommend.

This is a nice restaurant and bar with fusion cuisine, burgers, pizza, steak, wok bowl, others. Great location next to the Magnificent Mile, good atmosphere and service. The proces are mid-range, but affordable. Very fast service, I got my IPA beer in 2, my dish in 5 minutes, almost no wait time.

This restaurant was just a short walk from our hotel. We almost ate here on our first night but decided to go somewhere else and come back another night instead. When my wife and I did return we had an enjoyable and filling dinner. My wife had the guacamole to start and I had the grilled artichoke. Both were very tasty. We had burgers for our main course with my wife having the Backyard Burger while I had the Veggie Burger. By this point we were both feeling quite full as the portions were quite large. As a result we didn't have any dessert. The service was very good and we enjoyed our visit.

Found this restaurant. Good food. Good location. Would go back again. Had the steak. Great flavor. Prepared just right.

Very nice from entering to exiting. Hostess was so accommodating when I asked to be moved from a table she initially attempted to seat us at. The booth I was requesting was not clean (it looked clean from afar otherwise I wouldn’t have asked for it) but instead of telling us no, she asked us to wait while she went to clean it for us. Very sweet! Then Brandon…our server….was really patient and helpful. Actually, he was all around awesome!! Our food came out with a few issues that were quickly solved and it was some of the best food ever! The ribs…oh the ribs…I ordered a second SLAB! My picky kids said the burgers were really good…they said it was “real meat” . Lol. The sweet potato fries were thick cut and tasty. The lemonade was refreshing and the bartender made some cocktails that had me ordering more. This spot will be first on my to-do list when I visit the city again.

Came for lunch and sat at the bar. Natalie was our most amazing, helpful server ever! I am vegan and my husband will eat vegan/vegetarian a lot. We split their house made veggie burger, that was probably the best we have ever had. Additionally we split the vegetarian plate that had a wonderful combination of assorted salads and veggies. Food was overly generous, service was outstanding and the price was right! A must go.

Dined here three times each time we had something different each time the food and service were excellent. We will definitely come here next time we visit Chicago.

Great food and excellent service. My server, Stella B., was very attentive despite it being packed at lunch time on a Saturday. Another server, Kayla was also helpful. The food is great. Had the cobb salad and it was delicious. Will be back again soon.

We returned for lunch after a long absence and were so glad we did. It was Saturday just past 1 pm and the place was really busy. Luckily we had made reservations and so we were immediately seated. We ordered The Bernie (turkey & Swiss on eight grain bread) which came with a side of quinoa salad and the Knife & Fork Cobb which comes with fried chicken fillets. Accompanying these were also glasses of a reasonably priced Surf Swim Chardonnay & Round Pond Sauv Blanc. Great food, great service and pleasant atmosphere. Check it out - right off the Magnificent Mile!

Been here several times and it offers good valu for money every time. Good selection of drinks and beer. Has some tvs for thos looking to catch a game during lunch or dinner. Ok options for Vegans was a plus for us.

Really good food, exceptional service. Waiter Israel couldn’t have been more efficient & pleasant. Everything we ordered (shrimp cocktail, turkey burger, fried chicken) was delicious! Fair prices and an easy walk from our hotel. Highly recommend.

Have stopped here the past few years when in Chicago on business. Always good food at reasonable prices. Pulled Pork, Burgers, specialty drinks and more.

Was seated and remained seated without water; or service. Waited 10mins without anyone attending our table as staff walked back and forth without acknowledging our family so we got up and left. Front Desk asked if there was anything else we needed. How about food! I'll just assume they didn't want to serve us. 4/13 @ 330pm

Service was good, but the food was off. I'm not sure if someone in the kitchen is trying to be creative or innovate, but sweet potato chips and guacamole are NOT a winning combination. Very odd pairing for an appetizer - especially for $15. Frontera Grill's amazing guac + homemade tortilla chips appetizer is only $10 by comparison. We also tried a side of the roasted Brussels sprouts. I have never had sprouts served sprinkled with raw sugar - until now. Weirdest combination ever. No one at our table liked it. The marinara dipping sauce for the polenta fries was also sweet. Between the sweet potato chips, the sugar-sprinkled sprouts and sweet marina - it seems someone in the kitchen has a sweet tooth! Our mains (wok bowls and tangled noodles) were ok - but not remarkable. Underseasoned, and just....meh. With so many great dining options in Chicago, many of which are less expensive, I would not choose to eat here again.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. Not only did everything at our table taste delicious, the meals being served at other tables looked delicious.

The service was exceptional! #Amahlia. The guacamole and sweet potato chips were soooo good. I would never pair the two together but it was flavorful and addictive. The chimichurri wings were crispy and tender. A must try. I chased everything down with their signature drink Internal Affairs. Great relaxed atmosphere.

It is a hidden jewel in downtown Chicago. I had the burger and fries, and it was incredible, $$ wasn't bad either. It was a great atmosphere

Food was average at best and expensive for the quality and portions. Ordered cob salad and lemonade. Salad was nothing special and lemonade was from a powder mix.

Just off Michigan Ave, this is a very casual restaurant with wonderful hamburgers and sandwiches. My spouse had a Backyard burger that must of had 2” of shredded cheddar cheese on it. I had a Crispy Chicken sandwich that came with honey dijon mustard on the side and it was very good. The sweet potato fries were larger than any I have had before and very tasty. Service was excellent and prices were pretty good.

Incredibly cool decor tucked away in a swanky part of town. Our server, Emily, was quick and attentive to our needs. My salmon was delicious party had the ribs, which don't lie; they fall right off the bone! Must check out.

The burgers were huge and cooked to order. Sweet fries were also terrific. Our server was wonderful. Overall we’d absolutely recommend and will quite likely return when we are next back visiting this part of the city.

Staying at The Drake we were walking around looking for a place to eat when we saw Doc B's and decided to stop in. It was a very, very good choice. The wife and I had the soup of the day which was delicious and shared a Crispy Chicken Sandwich which was also delicious. The neat thing about Doc B's that I really appreciated was the fact that we were not all that hungry and asked if we could split the sandwich. Not only did they cut the sandwich in half but put the pieces on separate plates with an order of fries on each plate. Evidently since the sandwiches are quite large they get this request often since the couple next to us had half sandwiches also. When the couple we were traveling with showed up after driving in from Maryland they asked us where to eat and we told them about Doc B's. They were as impressed with the restaurant as we were. i recommend this place highly. .

We stayed at the nearby Drake Hotel and went here, based on a staff recommendation. It is fabulous! The first day, we had the best salads ever: Mediterranean Shrimp and "Knife & Fork" Cobb. We sat at the bar and had wine with our meals--great service, incredibly fresh salads. The next day, we returned for the Turkey Burger and a second "Knife & Fork" Cobb Salad. Excellent service, reasonable prices--don't pass this up!

We were staying on Michigan Avenue and sightseeing around town and at the end of a long walk happened by Doc Bs in search of a light lunch. The service was above average and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Even though the restaurant was almost to capacity it was not too loud, which we appreciated and could have a conversation. We split a salad and an order of their organic oven chicken wings. the sauce on the chicken wings was somewhat unique and we got outstanding and the salad was fresh and tasty. We definitely were not disappointed and happy we stopped by.

I used my TripAdvisor app to determine where to eat in Chicago. I ended up at Doc B’s Fresh Food and it was an excellent eating experience. I started out with the matzoh ball soup. It was flavorful, tasty and I enjoyed it. I then moved on to the grilled artichoke appetizer. It was simply amazing. There is really is no other way to say it. It was one of the strongest appetizers that I have had. I’ve moved on to the main course which also was amazing. It was salmon with balsamic tomatoes and kale slaw. The salmon was cooked extremely well but what really set this entree part was the balsamic tomatoes which were tremendous and the kale slaw which was unique, flavorful and tasty. The employees were very friendly, the decor and ambience was excellent, the restaurant was clean and the food choices were unique and flavorful. Compared to so many restaurants in Chicago, the prices were exceptionally reasonable. I would strongly recommend that anyone in the area find an opportunity to stop in here. It was that good.

After being told of a 2 and half hour wait for Purple Pig, we went down and around the corner. We only intended to stop for a drink, but the atmosphere ,friendly service and menu tempted us to stay and dine. All the food was delicious, especially the wings in chimmchurri sauce and my western steak sandwich was just wonderful..

This will forever be my favorite place in Chicago. I’ve been coming here for years. I brought my fiancé here for one of our first dates a couple years ago and now it’s just part of our routine to come three or four times a month. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is always on point (I’m a creature of habit so I recommend the California Salad with chilled shrimp and a glass of Hayes rosé wine) and the staff is so phenomenal! Malina is our favorite bartender and Kyle and Sarah are our favorite servers. The team here goes out of their way to provide the best dining experience and make each visit memorable. Whether you’re visiting or local, give this location a try! You won’t be disappointed.

The filet mignon sandwich was awesome! Tender and juicy! We also loved the guacamole dip! Will definitely be back!

Just love this place! Consistently wonderful food...thinking about the excellent guac and sweet potato chips. Salads, chicken sandwiches and gourmet burgers ...would recommend any of them. Been here about 10 times..staff always lovely.

We have been here before when traveling to Chicago. This is the first time I was disappointed. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We both ordered drinks from the bar prior to ordering. Quick and good. We both ordered bowls with lo mein. She went to put in and was back two minutes later. They were out of lo mein. We both went with rice as a backup. Again she was back in two minutes and embarrassed. They were out of rice?? How do you run out of rice and lo mein?? We ended up ordering with some other item similar to rice ( I forgot name). It was fair but not what we wanted. Luckily the key lime was good. Made a bad trip an average trip. May be back. Maybe not

Stopped by here for a takeout burger by someone's suggestion! I was NOT disappointed!! The burger was amazing, the fries were fantastic and it didn't take that long at all to get my order brought to me! Definitely would come back!

nice place with an interesting menu. loved the avocado pizza. we were asked to move tables to accommodate a big group but were offered a free drink for the trouble. that's good customer service.

We popped in for lunch while shopping and sat at the bar. We both had delicious salads and the service was great! I would definitely go back, as they had a good menu and friendly staff.

Had an early dinner on Saturday here because it was within walking distance from our hotel. So glad we chose this restaurant. It was not too busy when we arrived, but filled up by the time we left. Our server (I wish I could remember his name) was very attentive and friendly. The guacamole appetizer was amazing - fresh guacamole (no red onion which is the way I like it) with sweet potato chips. Our entrees (Wok Bowl with shrimp and Ahi Tuna sandwich) were served promptly and absolutely delicious. My "Crazy Beautiful" cocktail was a little unusual but good. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and look forward to coming back.

Stopped in on a recommendation from Craig the bellman at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel. Had a late lunch. Chris, our server, was excellent. Made good recommendations and checked back frequently to see if we needed anything. I had the Mr Walton sandwich with sweet potato fries. Delicious. Excellent way to kick off our Chicago weekend.

This place was so good we went back a second time. The food is excellent and the service just right, I would just mention that beer and wine are more expensive than other places we went to unless it is happy hour.

We came here for dinner and had a great meal. Excellent service by Olivia and Dede- super friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and a great atmosphere .

We didn’t know what to expect, but ended up very happy. My wife and I both had the Wok Out Bowl, and were really impressed with the quality. Snuck in under happy hour, so they knocked a couple bucks off our drinks, and the food was great. Super tender filet, and the chicken was crispy and delicious. Great staff, and a great experience all around. We’ll definitely be going back next time we’re in town.

First time at the restaurant, we stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a Lyft Driver. Atmosphere was comfortable and somewhat upscale but certainly not overbearing. The menu was a great mix of classic favorites with their signature items. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know the importance I place on good service. The service at Doc B’s is top notch, the wait staff worked together to make sure that diners needs were met. I was able to visit with the general manager and it was apparent the customer first attitude started at the top. Highly recommend!

We always seem to forget that this local eatery is in the hood with good food. Mh wife had a chicken salad and I had the veggie burger. This is the best veggie burger I have had and better than the impossible burger. Put this place on your list and see if you too can sit with. ANNA, the palidrome, for good service with a smile. House Blanco tequila is also good. For those who sit at the bar they have honey baked bacon strips , which will guarantee larger intakes of cocktails.

Great Lunch here. Trip Advisor didn’t fail me here. I couldn’t decide where to eat and chose Doc B’s for it’s reviews. Great comfort food. The service was spot on. The salad I had was very fresh. It’s a really busy restaurant so I’d advise making reservations or be prepared to wait. Definitely worth the wait.

A bellman at the millennium Knickerbocker hotel recommended doc B's and it lived up to every expectation... Thank you Craig ... Very eclectic menu and everything was exceptional!

Doc B's is a casual dining, mostly sandwich place. The decor is nice and the place is clean, but the food was only average and the service not even that good. Table by the bar; the bartender, 6 feet away, waited the table. Nice guy, but inattentive. Didn't get my iced tea refilled or even asked. He didn't look my way more than once. The corned beef was good, but there wasn't enough of it to justify the price. Sweet potato fries were soggy, although they tasted ok. Best part of the meal was the key lime pie. Like I said, everyone was very pleasant, but you can't eat pleasant.

A nice little gem here next to the magnificent mile. We had the burgers, tasted very well. I would for sure go here again.

This spot is a warm, welcoming place with great Chicago-style food with something for everyone (including a picky 9 year old, and my vegan brother!) . The ribs were especially outstanding, the sweet potato fries were thick, hot and extremely tasty... the service was excellent. To top it all off, by mistake I left my credit card there, which I only realized on the plane on my way back home to California. I figured it was a lost cause, but I called them and they not only had it in safe-keeping, they are mailing it back to me. Top-notch in every way.

This place is amazing! The food is great all of the time. We had to make an encore visit just to try more items on this amazing menu. It’s a scratch kitchen, so fresh and delicious is the game. The manager Gary and his team are great! We had Laura and Courtney on our visits as waitresses, and they we super! We will definitely be back!

Went here for tea. The place was quite busy as we arrived. Sadly we were pitched in front of a table of three with a woman who talked so loudly that you could hear her from three blocks away. Me, with my sensitive hearing, was put right off my food having to listen to her talk for over an hour. The staff must be used to this as they never asked her to lower her voice. I should have mentioned something myself but I would have thought someone might have asked her to pipe down. Sadly, this was not a single example as I had to leave a restaurant in New Orleans for the same reason. The food was nothing to write home about either and such that I can't even remember what I had to eat. I do remember her big gob though.

I highly recommend this place for a good dinner. Delicious food, great service, and a great atmosphere overall. Our waiter Sean was excellent.

Wonderful! A lovely place to eat excellent food and wine, ambience wonderful and staff - especially Issac!!! - exceptional ! He was amazing! Thanks for a great experience, Jane and Mike from London xxx

Great place just off Magnificent Mile. I walked in by coincidence - hadn’t looked up the place before, and was pleasantly surprised. Relaxed place with table seating in the back and bar like seating in the front, making it a great place if you’re solo as well. Their menu is standard but good. They have some nice local beers. Great place to close the dag with a drink and an easy and relaxed dinner.

This place has a great happy hour and amazing food. The Guac and chips is some of the best I've had. Everything on the menu looked great. The prices were pretty good for Chicago. I highly recommend this place. We were at the one on E. Walton st. The waitress was really good and so friendly. The Strawberry Moscow Mule was prefect!!!

Had dinner here with a business associate. I had the work-out bowl. Have it. Protein (meat, salmon, chicken, shrimp) and sauce and brown rice or quinoa or ... build your own.

The Mr Walton Grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite minus onion and arugula with a side of honey mustard. The sweet potatoes fries are very good. Nice open air bar on the summer.

Great atmosphere and brilliant food - we loved it, would really recommend the Wok Out bowls - tasty and really delicious - big fan of DocBs - loved it

We stopped in for a quick lunch while in the city. The oven grilled wings were a pleasant surprise! The chimmichurri on top added a different, but delicious flavor to the wings. We also had the backyard burger. It was good, but the wings were the star of the show!

My daughters and I went to Chicago last weekend for a getaway before they go back to school. We were shopping and it was a solid 95 degrees; my girls were tired, hungry and over it. We passed this restaurant and my daughter asked if we could please go. She didn't even care what kind of food as long as they had a/c! Well...it ended up being delicious. I had an order of the matzo ball soup to start which was good. My daughter and I shared a steak and fries and oh my word the steak was delicious! My youngest daughter ordered the grilled cheese and really liked that as well. They don't display a kids menu but they will list off a few items if you ask. Our waiter was a very nice young man and provided great service. The prices were very reasonable (especially for Chicago.) Oh and one last random thing-we couldn't stop raving about the ice in our drinks! ha! If you like the ice at chick-fil-a you'll love it here. It was delicious. I would recommend!!

We had a great host Hannah and everything was perfect. The Danish Ribs were really falling off and the Cinnamon Cheesecake was one of a kind. Thank you!

Have never been disappointed after +5 visits while traveling on business. Nice location in Gold Coast area off Michigan Ave with modern decor and very good casual menu of salads, sandwiches, burgers and heartier entrees. Unpretentious with lively mixed crowd of casual diners. Very much enjoyed dining solo at bar. This time had tangled sesame noodles with steak a really good combo of flavors and textures in decent serving size bowl. Have had very good salads and burgers in past visits

I had never heard of this place when a friends suggested we meet there. We ate outside as the music was quite loud indoors. I thought the menu had a lot of nice options and was reasonably priced. I really enjoyed my salad and would definitely go back.

I had the chicken kabob. Very very good. I also had the jalapeño potatoes… awesome! Two guys at the corner hotel said it was the best place hands down.. locals always know. I will be back for the ribs tomorrow night. Great job. Special thanks to my server Morgan and Laura who never stopped checking on me. Great food and outstanding service. Don’t think twice, it’s great.

Dining here on a Sunday night we were surprised how full the restaurant was. We took a table right by the kitchen and thought it may have been the best option to be able to hear each other talk. Some of the food we ordered was the wok out bowl which had some nice heat to it even though I was not fond of the lo mein, I had the West Coast sandwich which was a slab of Filet mignon on a bun and the fries were parmesan flavored and wonderful I would eat here again

By chance, I selected this restaurant to treat an out-of-town guest, and boy, did I luck up on a good one! It has the best quinoa salad I've EVER HAD, not to mention other delights. It has seating outside in the summer, and a classy decor inside. And the wait staff is simply outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The menu was so original and everything very tasty. I had the knife and fork Cobb salad with grilled chicken. They don’t have a printed kids menu but had several options. The kids meals were quite pricey though and each came to $13 with a drink. There were so many menu items that looked good it’s the kind of place you could go back to more than once in a vacation.

Called in to Doc B for snacks and drinks food was first class and drinks were lovely and cold . Serves was great and fast . We are here on holiday this restaurant has added to the brilliant time we have had .Thanks Doc B and thanks Chicago.

We came here for a late lunch after getting off our plane. It's trendy and modern. We were seated immediately and had good service. The food--well you certainly get a LOT of it--are very nice sized portions. Taste-wise, it is just "okay"--nothing special. I had a salad and it was tasty but nothing different than I could get at Panera. My husband got Texas hot chicken and it was a DINNER-sized portion! I wish they could serve this meal as a lunch-sized portion. It was two pieces of chicken "molded" together with the thick sauce. The sauce had a bit of sweetness as well as a kick. Again, it was good; just nothing to write home about. Very filling. Cost: our lunch was more expensive than I would like to pay for lunch given the food we were served. However, in Doc B's defense, we did get a large meal.

We came by chance and after we liked Mood we ate there in the evening - very good! Friendly staff and friendly staff

After trying to find a different restaurant, we decided to try Doc B's. We appreciated the varied menu options and were not disappointed with our Napa Burger, sweet potato fries and pizza. It is walking distance to The Drake and a nice, casual option over some of the other hotels in the area. Nothing overly special and not disappointed by our last minute choice.

We always make a reservation when we come here, and we always have to wait at least 15 minutes to be seated. That said, it's nice to unwind with a glass of wine until the table is ready. The service is fantastic and anyone who has been here knows the food is worth it. The guacamole with sweet potato chips is worth the price of admission alone. Excellent casual food. Always on the list when we are in this neighborhood!

I found this place on TA as the nearest restaurant to our hotel (Millenium Knickerbocker). It was one of the rare late-opening restaurants in the area. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I got a seat by the window, which was a little cold at first. I ordered a rack of ribs, sauteed broccoli, and sweet potato fries. Wow, the ribs and slaw were stunning. The broccoli was delicious, and the sweet potato fries were as I cook them at home, with an unbelievable honey-mustard dip. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this part of chicago.

I’m telling you really a nice surprise, kind of knocking around looking for a place to eat and just happened across Doc B’s. The feeling was lively, service was friendly and the food is special. The fish was tender, flaky and served with a wonderful sauce. I don’t think there’s a bad choice on the menu starting with the wine & appetizers. Now that we discovered Doc B’s we’re sure to come back.

What a fantastic discovery! The ambiance, cuisine, and service were all excellent. A true family business like this is quite uncommon these days. This is the place to go in Bristol if you want authentic, traditional food prepared with love. McDonald's is all about slowing down and savoring quality, so if you're in a hurry, grab one. Many thanks to the wonderful chefs and team. Unquestionably delicious!

Very fresh, flavorful food. Stopped here for lunch and was seated right away. Lots of choices on the menu, had the "wedge burger.". Menu has a good variety, salads, sandwiches, burgers, specialties.
Another go-to destination for lunch
Why do so many high-end restaurants choose to skip the noon hour and open after 4 p.m. for dinner? Especially in Chicago, where businessmen enjoy lunch as much as Happy Hour. Welcome to Doc B's Restaurant & Bar. After stopping for dinner at Doc B's location in Indianapolis while driving home from a long weekend visit to Charleston, South Carolina, I had to have lunch at one of Doc B's two outposts in downtown Chicago. I chose the 100 East Walton address, in the Gold Coast neighborhood, steps from the Magnificent Mile, which is open from 11 to 10 Monday through Saturday and 11 to 9 on Sunday. I started with grilled citrus glazed shrimp wth wild rice and marcona and a Knife & Fork Cobb Salad with chicken, Gold Coast vinaigrette, bacon, egg, cornbread croutons and Danish blue cheese. For a main course, I opted for a West Coast Steak Sandwich, a center cut filet with parmigiano reggiano, Kale slaw, pickled red onion and roasted garlic dressing. With French fries. For dessert, I couldn't resist key lime pie with graham cracker and wafer crust. Next time I'll visit Doc B's other Chicago location at 55 East Grand in the River North neighborhood. I think Doc B's is fast becoming one of my favorite destinations for lunch.
