First visit and it was excellent

By ATL_Brent71 |

Pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. We were a party of 6 and everyone loved their selections. My Pizze Affettati was absolutely delicious and the Italian sausage was really particularly good. Also had a nice wine list. Service was top notch and friendly. It was a Monday. We even got a complimentary dessert since our appetizer never arrived. Looks like a great space to have private events as well. We will definitely return to sample more of the menu.

Excellent in every way!

By mchlcrw |

From the moment you enter here, you feel welcome, and are continually helped in your dining experience. The staff is well prepared, friendly and not obtrusive; the wine list very well thought out; appetizers are exceptional; the pizzas are spectacular; and the entres are delicious. I did not have dessert so I can't comment on how good they must be. The location is not difficult to reach. If this quality of service and food continue, Double Zero will become a long term fixture in the Atlanta dining scene. Great job to all who are involved in this adventure!

Not a typical Italian place...

By kseim |

We expected lasagna and spaghetti, but we got a very unique experience. The toddler wasn't as excited... but the chef created even something his little taste buds could enjoy. We feasted on really unique brickoven pizza and salads. I enjoy food and travel quite a bit, but the waitress still had to tell me what several things on the menu were... and I googled some others! It was good... wouldn't take little ones though...

Burrata to the Rescue

By Dominic N |

The Burrata Salad was excellent, The surprise ingredient was the Compressed Melon which was sweet. Paired with the arugala drizzled with balsamic and their homemade bread triangles made a nice presentation. The pizza was good and loaded with pepperoni. The salad was the hero of the dinner.

Great atmosphere, good food but expensive if not on expense account

By WadeAtlanta |

This is a very trendy, happening place for those who want to see and be seen and it can be a lot of fun if you're on a company expense account. If not, it will add up quickly. It's the kind of place you would expect to find in Buckhead and it's a nice addition to Sandy Springs. There were two of us. We split a salad, split a pizza and we each had two drinks (well bourbons and well margaritas) and the total tab, including tip and valet parking (there was no other option visible to us on the night we arrived) came to $84. That's too rich for our blood for a normal evening out. This was our first visit and we would probably try it again if we lived closer but we didn't think the double zero pizza dough was that special - not special enough to name a restaurant after it. We both love pizza generally but were not impressed with the dough. I have no doubt that it is authentic, imported flour, etc. and perhaps has a loyal following in Italy, etc. but the dough itself did not live up to the hype in our opinion. That's not to say that the pizza was bad - the overall pizza was good - they have a great mix of very flavorful and unusual topping combinations which we definitely enjoyed, but the dough was nothing special as far as we were concerned. The bar needs work. The margaritas were a big disappointment - very weak and packed with ice, which is what you would expect from a lesser national chain, etc. but a place aspiring to be what this place aspires to be, has got to fire on all cylinders when it comes to the bar and they failed. We had to request a stronger drink with less ice for round two, which resulted in what we would consider a "normal" drink, and then later discovered that we had been charged for an additional shot. They also need to work on keeping the place warm in the winter. It's really just one huge room, divided into 3 sections by curtains. In addition to good food, we were looking for refuge from the December cold but the place was cold and drafty during our visit, so much so that we wondered if they were running the air-conditioning instead of the heat. Interesting place. Very happening. Good vibe, but they are not paying enough attention to the details (bar and temperature) for a place of this caliber.

EAT HERE

Best lamb burger EVER. Cocktails were terrific and the service was spot on. I really enjoyed the valet parking. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more.

Worth a trip but on the expensive side

By BlueBeachGlass |

~ I have been here several times and have always enjoyed my meal. I would recommend Affettati Pizza, the Lobster Pappardelle and L'Arrosto which were all great ! ~ (I'll upload a photo of the Lobster Pasta)

Great, creative italian!

By Brent M |

Went to 00 tonight for the first time. We generally prefer our own cooking to most restaurant fare, but this dinner was great! We started with the crispy sous vide lamb meatballs-amazing! My wife ordered the Bolognese and it was outstanding! You gotta like some spice for that one. I had the lamb carbonara. It comes with a poached egg on top. The lamb is plentiful and gets a kiss of smoke from the Big Green Egg. Absolute stunner. Our server was Ramiro and he was excellent! No rush and great service. We'll be back, soon!

First time visit to Double Zero.

By Thomas A |

Great food, service and atmosphere as always in a Castellucci restaurant. Our server, Alexander was great and informative. Share Frito misto appetizer which was plentiful with seafood and other good stuff.

Just What We Were Looking For!

By Generals36 |

Had a gift card for this restaurant group and decided to use it for Double Zero. Great decision! It was just the place we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary - upscale, but not too fancy. Food and service were excellent. We'll be back!

Very nice local restaurant

By DBS5687 |

The Cavoletti salad was great. We each had pasta - Bolognese and Carbonara.. both were excellent. The wine list was very nice and reasonable. We had the Brancatelli Valle delle Stelle and it was great! Don't forget the beignets for dessert! Very fun evening.

Great Apps, Mixed Mains, and Disappointing Desserts

By jadams5454 |

Double Zero has a chill vibe, but our party of four had mixed feelings. We started with the meatballs and garlic knots, which were amazing—definitely the highlight of the night. As for the mains, two of us had the chicken Parmesan and chicken piccata, and both were great. One of my friends got the ribeye, but it was a letdown—thin, fatty, and way overpriced for what it was. Another in our group tried the mushroom pasta pouches, and they loved it. But we were very disappointed in the limited dessert options. The menu only had cannoli, a Nutella pizza with marshmallows, gelato, and Italian ice cream. We went with the cannolis, and while they were fine, they didn’t blow us away. Overall, it’s a solid spot for apps and a couple of entrées, but I’d skip the ribeye and hope for more dessert choices next time.

A Nice Surprise!

By Sharron F |

The outside gives the impression of expensive and formal; however, it was quite casual and the food excellent. Portions weren't too large and the selection were unique. I had a simple grilled cheese sandwich which was assembled using slices of apple--excellent! I would certainly go back and will recommend the restaurant for casual dining. Lunch is a good choice.

Amazing place

By TomasoUras |

This is one of the most gorgeous restaurant I have ever been. The food is amazing, starting from the appetizer, they have the most good chopping board of cheese and salumi I have ever eat, only in Italy you can find something like that. The pasta is always well cocked, and the pizza is the best in USA. The service is fantastic, the valet parking also. The structure of the table inside give to the environment a really good look, the price is honest for what you receive.

Great atmosphere!

By Ist1979 |

Been here with friends the atmosphere is nice with a loft style look. Good food and bar. Nice place to visit with friends for drinks and dinner.

Great food, dull surroundings

By mondello5 |

No one can fault the food at this place. If you like ambiance, you are in the wrong place. Friends took us here for dinner, and they know we love our food. It was a perfect choice for us, we ordered a smattering of everything, and everything was excellent. The decor is just not pretty--more like a warehouse. So, if you love to eat, and don't care about the surroundings, go for it. I hope the owners will redecorate with an eye towards better digs.

Italian small plares

By chrisdente |

Phenomenal upgrade to Emory village. Everything my wife and I had was delicious and the prices are not bad. The small plates are nicely proportioned for a couple to share and the desserts were excellent. Certainly worth a stop

Go for the food, ignore the rest.

By Ogadoo |

5 STARS for the chef, who I am sure is responsible for the menu & food preparation. But how did he/she get stuck in a tired old flophouse of a building? The food is terrific, the winelist expansive. But the restaurant is more like a noisy dance tavern than a quality sit-down which is what the food deserves. Service is certainaly friendly & outgoing but inadequately trained. As I left after dinner I picked up what I though was a business card from the hostess stand. It was a solicitation for employment! How tacky is that?!

Sit at the Bar!

By tkent1234 |

We like coming here and eating at the bar. It is fun to chat with and watch the bartenders as they mix up pre-Prohibition style cocktails. We usually try one of their house specialty cocktails. My wife enjoyed the Fay Wray recently. And we usually order dinner at the bar. For our most recent trip we shared the shaved brussels sprouts salad and a pizza.

Try the pizza class

By laxatl |

We went with a group one Thursday to the pizza making class. For $21 you get a glass of wine and instructions on making your own pizza, which you cook, and eat right there!. We had a blast. This place has a great bar with many good selections. Unfortunately the draft beer selection is very limited or I would give this a 5 rating.

Great place

By Zlady61 |

I went here with two friends on the advice of another friend we had a terrific time; our server was great, the pizza was good and the salad was phenomenal. For $50 we got three pizzas, a bottle of wine and a huge salad. I will be back

yummy drinks and food!

By beckyhi_c |

went with some friends for a late dinner Saturday night and this was a perfect spot. the atmosphere is awesome, the drink menu is extensive and the food doesn't disappoint. the scallop appetizer I had was the best of my meal BY FAR but my risotto and gelato were yummy too. I'd love to come back and actually try to pizza next time :)

Good and interesting food

By 474alanh |

The menu is electic and I stuck to the appetizers. The food is good. The servers are helpful and friendly. The portions are big. The prices were avergae. The decor was pleasant. Good place.

Great Atmosphere, just mediocre food

By DuncAtl |

Went to Double Zero for the first time on a Sunday night (probably not the best time to go) and we were hopelessly disappointed. Each of our dishes, from small plates to large plates, were disappointing at best. The service was congenial but, decidedly wished they were someplace else. Maybe if we had been rude the service would have improved (that's probably unfair but, it felt that way). Good by the glass wine list, good atmosphere, good location, some Gluten-free options but, only average experience.

Love, love, love

By GaCare |

I love Southern Italy for its pizza! (ok, and for other things....) And this pizza is definitely the closest to real southern Italian pizza that I have eaten anywhere! They also have an incredible quinoa dish for all the other vegetarians out there. I crave it! The service is always good, and the owner, a beautiful tall lady is usually there smiling and talking to everyone! We just went to a pizza making class here also and it was so much fun! Go for the pizza and fall in love with the entrees! It's wonderful!!

Must try!

By Susanne M |

this was my second visit and I was just as happy as the first. Great food, good service. Very enjoyable experience.

Great flavors and service

By Toni R |

Located in Emory Village, Double Zero is a sophisticated, yet comfortable, Italian restaurant. The smoked brisket arancini small plate had fabulous flavor and a touch or spicy. I don't think anyone in our group had ever had anything like it before and they all loved it! The warm bread brought to our table was crazy good, too. I had the Lamb cannelloni which had plenty of lamb and the fennel jam added just the right touch of sweetness.A wonderful glass of pinot noir from Oregon was great with my meal. You'll probably have to ask what several of the ingredients are on the menu items....like I said, it's sophisticated in ingredients and flavors. A couple of people had the Mezzaluna pasta which I sampled. It was very earthy and nutty. I'm glad I got the Lamb!

Delicious, inventive farm to table food great ambience, good service

By Maria E |

I have been to this particular restaurant many times, especially good for a large group, the table up front near the window is spacious and comfortable. We've had the vegetarian pizza and it is always a good choice, crust is baked to perfection, their home made pasta is excellent, last time we were there my friend got the pasta bolognese and loved it. Everything else that is in season is always very good,, the servers are usually very good and knowledgeable. We are so glad to have this restaurant in our neighborhood, we will continue to enjoy it in the future.

Fabulous small plates for differing palettes

By MontaukTraveler |

We loved this place - meat lovers. Veggie lovers seafood lovers all found something to rave about. Prices were fair and service was delightful.

FUN PLACE TO GO FOR A SUCCULENT PIZZA AND MORE

By frg0125 |

Double Zero provides really nice pizzas that come piping hot from the wood-fired oven. Great selection of wines, beers and menu items, all that packaged in a casual yet interesting layout. Add a very attentive and friendly server and you have all the ingredients for a very enjoyable dining experience

Go for the Appetizers

By Peter W |

Although listed as an Italian restaurant this is definitely not your standard Italian fayre. Menu focussed on eclectic appetizers but interesting pasta dishes and pizzas offered. We shared 4 appetizer dishes including the duck confirm, octopus, smoked brisket and broccoli, all delicious. On the pricey side but was worth the gastronomic experience. Would go back again next time in Atlanta.

Double Zero is a “Triple Crown”

By C0FLAW1 |

Wow!! That is to start. Why a triple? First..ambience. The renovation is fantastic. Make the tables a smidge bigger...perfect. Second, the food. The scallops and cauliflower are a trip to heaven. The pizza - phenomenal. Third, and best. The service!! Jordan our server A+ with 5-star service. Dining manager Anh Hoang...we fell in love! Thank you Double Zero for a great start to 2109! We will be back!

Sandy Springs Gem

By pxljunke |

We dined here since it opened and enjoyed seeing it mature into a popular local dining destination. Frederico and Stephanie Castellucci offer authentic Italian cuisine that you'll enjoy in the low key relaxed atmosphere. Our favorites, enjoyed just last night at the bar, include the butternut squash frittelle, Insalata di Cavoletti (shaved brusssl sprouts salad) and the Maialepizza. My wife also raves about the octopus. The staff are always super friendly and very knowledgeable. While the menu can be initially confusing because you won’t find typical American Italian fare, your patience in trying some new dishes will be rewarded.

Very nice neighborhood restaurant

By TedCGreen |

Food is always good, service is excellent. Atmosphere ok. And if you make me write more than i want to write i will not review again.

Double Zero the best dough for great pizza

By vickie720 |

Our family can not decide if the pasta entree are better than the pizza. Help us decide and share your preference

Food was good but Drinks were weak

By OurTravelsGA |

Went there for a friends birthday party and the food was good. IT was a set menu so did not order the normal fare. However some of the pasta was not completely cooked (but it was still yummy) Only complain is the Drinks all seemed very watered down. I got a Moscow mule and it tasted like there was NO vodka in the drink. Seems like they might be short sheeting the liquor in their drinks.

Double zero sounds about right

By Brian B |

Went for the pizza napolitano. Sauce was terrible, dough flavorless and not thin or crispy. Service was adequate. Beer selection good. Won't be back.

Great Restaurant - highly recommend

By Dave M |

We ad a great meal, one of he best I've had in Atlanta. The waiter was very informative and helpful and the meals were really good. The Pasta in particular was amazing and tasty and was the Lamb Burger. Pizza's are large with a crispy base and with a nice range of toppings. This is a definite must.

Awesome!

By UnBosque |

They are know for their great pizza's but their entrees are top notch! My wife and I have been here several times and it's been an excellent experience each time!

Clean, good service, inferior food.

By amarone44 |

Unfortunate pizza tastes like metallic, canned tomatoes. Uncooked, wet center. Embarrassingly skimpy cheese coverage. Tasteless outer crust. A total fail. Nice folks though. And spotless.

Amazing addition to the Emory/Decatur area

By Michael G |

Attended Double Zero soft opening this week - they officially open Sept. 6th. The whole experience was amazing - lovely, cool, elegant setting - outstanding well paced service and terrific menu and food. We ate with another couple - shared many small plates - try everything - but we loved the octopus, cheese/meat plate, and the pork cheek corn dogs were amazing! This is same family that owns and runs Iberian Pig and Cooks and Soldiers - they know what they are doing. Try this place as soon as you can - great experience.

Great Food...A Little Pricey

By GKGator |

Love the food...have not had a bad meal in multiple visits. Expensive so it is easy to end up with a large check at the end of the night. Great for couples, get together and for a family dinner.

Italian place in Emory Village

By Jim W. |

We were planning to attend a concert at Emory a couple of blocks away, so we chose this as our pre-concert dinner venue. We parked in a deck for the concert, but I think this place has a shared parking lot for the strip-mall around back. There is also street parking within a block or two. Years ago, I think this space was partially occuppied by Jagger's. Now, DZ takes up a large volume in the center of the Emory Village strip. The overall atmosphere was sort of dark / sleek. They also seemed to have an abundance of servers (which had been rare through much of 2022). However, the dining experience was somewhat laid back. At one point a manager happened to stop by and we ended up asking about our entrees just before the showed up. Our server was friendly, but his appearances were a bit sporadic. We were able to find items to try on the menu, but they seemed to try to have some sort of twist to most dishes. My wife's was a bit spicier than she expected. My pasta dish was a sort of 'fall squash harvest' dish on steroids. The description implied that there was squash involved, but they went all out with it. I didn't especially dislike it, but I would probably not order it again either. Portions were decent, but not large enough to merit a to-go box. We were full enough to skip dessert. We had eaten at a Double Zero location in Silicon Valley and enjoyed it more. I was surprised at the either regional or seasonal variance in the menu. I think that this place has potential, but for our next concert-dinner, I may check out other venues in the area for comparison.

New favorite

By Alan P |

The food and service is really terrific. It is definitely on the expensive side but they deliver a great experience.

Trendy; small-plate Italian

By Jim W. |

This was slightly nostalgic, as I recall when the left half of this place was Jagger’s! We tried this for dinner on a recent Saturday. The place was about 1/3 full when we arrived at 6:15 p.m. but had filled up a lot more 30 minutes later. The décor is trendy. I had checked the menu but didn’t really get the ‘small plate’ theme; it just seemed that they had a limited menu. So it wasn’t quite what we were expecting, but we compromised on a pizza to share. I'm going with a score of 3 here because my wife and I split on how much we liked our shared pizza. I enjoyed it more than she did. We basically got their first listed pizza, sort of a Margherita with prosciutto. The meat was a bit salty, but otherwise I thought the pie was good. The service was quite good. The wine list seemed okay, but a bit on the pricy side. I didn’t get a cocktail though I’ve seen positive references to them. I’m not sure we’d go back, as this isn’t what we’re usually looking for when we think ‘Italian’; YMMV.

I had hoped for better...

By Steven S |

Double Zero took on a big project in this large interior space formally occupied by a few other restaurants even going back to Good Old Days. With great anticipation I took my wife there for our anniversary. We had eaten at Sugo and Iberian Pig and liked both of those restaurants, so we figured this was going to be great. Quite franky, The food is OK..nothing special. I cant really remember what I had...not a good sign. Even worse,on our last visit when we decided to give it another try,my wife had to wait forever for her food. The manager tried to make it up to her with a free dessert, but quite frankly, it did not inspire us to forgive the poor service. Why did the food not arrive for my wife? Well...the waiter kind of disappeared and alas, so will we.

WOW for food and service!

By SarahSoutheastUSA |

Double Zero gets everything right--food and service! The management team knows what they are doing and have hired correctly for the the wait staff and food prep. Double Zero is here to stay and not just another flash in an Italian wood pizza oven! I always order the basic Margarita pizza with a salad to share along with a glass of Prosecco. The pizza is served hot with scissors to cut your slice and always has the right amount of char and crunch for the crust.

10 FOR 00

By frg0125 |

First visit was very good, repeat visit was outstanding. Food is still very good, and very much one of the best pizza I have had. The other food is also well prepared. The best was the service: friendly, always present yet invisible, with staff knowledgeable about the beers they serve. Seems obvious, but rarely the case I definitively like this place and rate it a 10

Not impressed at all....

By FrankSAmsterdam |

We had dinner with a group of 20 colleagues in what we thought would be a phenomenal restaurant. After refusing 3 bottles of wine, the waitress felt they where off a little too, I had to send back my food twice as it was cold.....Not impressed at all.....

Best Italian Food I have EVER eaten (but that's just me)

By SporeArduino |

I love this place. I had the mushroom pizza and it's simply divine. Enough said. You have to try it to experience for yourself why I consider this the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten.

Second Disappointing Dinner

By newyorkdoll4 |

Had reservations for the 4 of us. We were seated at a terrible table. My husband faced the bathrooms and I faced the dishwashing area. Odd as we had reservations and it was not that busy. My husband's pasta was luke warm as was my risotto. We really felt like they had precookes the food, which is alos odd as we waited quite a long time to be served. My daughter's mushroom pizza was far from crispy. We had eaten at this restaurant abou t7 months ago and been disappointed. Wanted to try it again as many people speak highly of it. We will not be returning.

U Can Count On 00

By riceland |

Every time I am at Double Zero the decor and wait staff always works well. The bar is full service with pleasant seating away from the entrance in its own area. The wines are interesting and different from the usual wine lists and the food is consistently good. Nothing outstanding, nothing bad....just good food that you can count on over and over which makes it one of my go to places Sunday- Thursday. Friday and Saturday you need reservations and the noise level makes conversations difficult as,the buzz is on big time.

Order the pizza!

By Rstary |

The place gets it's name from the flour they import from Italy. If you don't order one of their specialty pizzas, your are missing the purpose for going there. Our waiter was incredible!

Best Margarita Pizza!

By DesMeyer |

By far, one our favorite places to eat! Do have the Salmon and Zucchini cake! Margarita Pizza! Ask for Stephanie

boring and overpriced

By PerimeterFoodCritic |

if you wanr real pizza...dont go here...overpriced and not terribly good pizza....its a fancier CA Pizza Kitchen with a two wood fired ovens...had a mahrgerita pizza...foo foo salt lick...and burnt by that stupid wood oven....the basil was fresh however...but not worth the price...plus roswell road is nightmare...should have bought a tombstone frozen pizza and a bottle of wine...would have been better...for pizza I rate this a 2 on a scale of 10 for taste alone. Terrible Avoid...for idiot tourists only.

Great Lunch

By RWSII |

This is my 3rd time at this restaurant and it has been awesome every time. Nothing but true delicious Italian Cooking, they even give you scissors to cut the pizza. The brick ovens are hand built and imported right from Naples. Seems the owner either knows personally or direct sources all his products from the actual farmers. No matter how busy, you always seem to get personal attention. Can't wait to go back!!!

Nice atmosphere and good food

By Losingthegreen |

Both members of my party enjoyed the pizza's only, both of which were very good, although mine was lacking in salt. The boutique cocktails were also delicious, although not exactly cheap. This was a nice place to grab an artisan pizza and a drink while in town for business.

Trendy both Atlanta eatery

By jgbtravels |

Attentive and helpful service. Overwhelming wine list with tasty salads and filling pizzas. Chocolate cake is sinful and should be shared. Also complementary valet parking.

You'll be delighted!

By Maryluvs2travel |

Double Zero refers to the most highly refined, talcum-powder soft type of flour used to make Neapolitan pizza. You'll be delighted and you cut it with scissors. But it's not just the fabulous pizza you should try; the appetizers, salads, and mains are outstanding as well. The Carbonara has lamb made in a Big Green Egg which was so flavorful, I ordered it on subsequent visit. Also melt-in-your-mouth are the Tortelloni and Bolognese. The Cavoletti salad has shaved Brussels sprouts -- which I dislike -- so I didn't try it at first, but it was recommended. After trying it, I went from a Brussels sprouts hater to a lover with the Cavoletti salad! It's big enough for two when you're getting a main. Reservations are a must.

Great pasta and pizza!

By Becky B |

We love this restaurant! Whether dining in and enjoying their intimate ambiance or getting a quick take-out pizza, the service has always been fast and friendly. Their pasta is out of this world and the pizza is Italian perfection. We've had a bunch of their appetizers and entrees but keep going back for the carb-y deliciousness of the pasta and pizza for those nights when you just need something warm and comforting. Highly recommend!

Leave the Kids Home

By Howard P |

Dinner with 4 adults and 2 children. Large space with fair noise level. The lamb burger which is lamb and beef was to spicy for one of the children. The taste was good and it was well prepared. The lobster pappardelle was lobster tail was good but the lobster had to be sent back as it was undercooked. The mushroom lasagna was good but the mushrooms were minced and the dish was presented in a bowl as it would have been runny. The service was acceptable but not friendly. Overall the restaurant was trying for trendy and upscale which was reflected in the pricing. Would not return as there are to many other choices and not a good place for the kids.

Quality all the way around

By Phil K |

Double Zero is part of the same family group that also runs The Iberian Pig in Decatur, one of my faves. Double Zero, newly relocated to Emory Village (there's valet parking behind the building, do not park in any nearby lot), is every bit as crisp. Decor was pleasant, the noise level moderate, and our server Kelly was a smooth pro who knew how to do his job and not try show off how cool he was. Our party of 6 split several small tapas plates and salads, then each ordered a moderate entree. Creative food, well executed. The wine list might be a little stronger with some more moderate priced vino. This was one of those meals where it just flows in a relaxed, satisfying experience.

Great food. Very poor service.

By Tony W |

The Castellucci restaurants are apparently falling off a cliff. Sugo Johns Creek failed first and now Double Zero Napoletano has turned in a minor league service showing. Food, as always, was excellent but it seems that having competent service is a far-off dream. Later, Double Zero, much later.

Good Food, Cool Vibe

By Vger6 |

Good Food, Cool Vibe - and a nice bar. We had pork belly risotto for a starter; delicious! And then the "American" pizza. For desert, bomboloni (like little doughnuts holes) with chocolate and berry sauce. Everything was very good, service was excellent.

Not Just Pizza

By Curt S |

Don't let the wood burning pizza oven fool you as you come into the dining area. While the pizzas offered on the menu are very good the other menu options are very good as well. The octopus appetizer was excellent and the veal chop special was done exactly as ordered with. The wine list is somewhat limited but the selections offered met our needs. The service was spot on without being annoying. We will definitely return.

The name says it all

By MarkWebbOz |

If you like dining at a pretentious overpriced restaurant then this is the place. If you want competent wait staff, decent, reasonable portion sizes & good service try somewhere else. Stay away from their NY cut steak, I could have plated 3 such servings upon the plate used & the "quality" meat was equivalent to what we buy in a supermarket here in Australia.

New favorite pizza restaurant!!

By Dawgy-Bill |

My wife and I have been to Italy twice and love the pizza. Double Zero is the real deal...absolutely perfect!!! In addition to the pizzas, they have an outstanding menu and great wine selection. We're always searching for the perfect pizza...now our search in over.

Fantastic meal !

By five5s |

Four of us ate at Double Zero last night. The salads, small plates and very unique and good pizza (made with double zero flour and cooked in special ovens made in Naples). We shared all the small plates and both pizzas. Everyone was very pleased. The small plates were sweet potato, mushrooms and lamb meat balls...the plates were all spotless when we were finished. The salads were shaved brussel sprouts and were very good and I'm not normally a brussel sprouts fan. Our server was very good and the food all arrived hot and timely. We're going back soon ... This time with a party of ten! It's really quite remarkable.

Excellent Dinner and Awesome Atmosphere

By Gerry386 |

The atmosphere is really cool, the food is the best and the service is top notch. I watched a waitress set up for a table of six and she was meticulous with the napkins and silverware. Our appetizer was incredible, the pizza very tasty and cooked perfect, but I felt like I was in a cool trendy restaurant in NY. The bar area is also cool. Very lucky to have this in Sandy Springs. Everyone treated us like royalty.

The Perfect Experince

By Joel C |

We celebrated my wife's birthday here and I must say it was beyond amazing. The food and pizzas were cooked to perfection and the waitress gets 100 points. She ensured all requests were met, was very attentive and also brought us surprises. I do suggest that you make a reservation because this place is a hot spot :)

An excellent dining experience

By George M |

This was my first time there. A friend and I had a very early dinner on the way to a concert. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was very attentive without being cloying. The manager visited with us and explained the history of the restaurant and did a very nice job of sharing information on the way they purchase and prepare their foods. They also have some very unique wood fired ovens imported from Italy. The décor and ambiance need a little improvement but it appears they are working on those issues. Overall we were very pleased with restaurant and staff and will definitely be going back.

Excellent Food, Service, Atmosphere

By ChaunceyTravel |

We had an excellent visit to DZN this evening. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our server was extremely well trained and very attentive. She knew the menu well and and was able to answer all our questions with good knowledge. The Insalata di Cavoletti and Misticanza salads were very fresh and flavorful. Large salads but without being heavy. Excellent use of raw brussels sproats in the Insalata di Cavoletti. Recommended. The halibut special was very flavorful and well prepared. A tasty crust from the preparation process. Light and full of flavor. The Pizze was outstanding. The taste of the crust coupled with the sauce was amazing and a reason to make frequent visits. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, highly recommended. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Not your everyday Italian

My clients in north Atlanta treated me to a dinner at Double Zero. Great place. Casual, but eclectic environment. Quiet enough for good discussion and the menu was inspired. Great variety and good value. Service as well was attentive and knowledgable. This is the kind of restaurant that will put Olive Garden out of business.

Good, not great

By birdjay |

There are several Neapolitan style restaurants in Atlanta, and this one is decent enough. They do still serve DOP products, and the pizza are true to the neapolitan style. We ate late on a Friday, and the service was good, the food good, if a little slow, and the martinis, I am told, were the best. Having traveled quite a bit throughout Southern Italy, I am always underwhelmed by these restaurants, though I am glad they exist. The prices are much higher than they should be, and the food, a little pretentiously Americanized. If you're looking for a reminder of why you love the food of Southern Italy, this will remind you, it won't sate you.

Amazing Pizza

By Abel M |

Went to Double Zero on Friday night for drinks and pizza with friends and we had a blast. We all got our own brick-oven made pizza. It was delicious the curios thing about this restaurant is that they don't pre-cut the pizza before or after it's cooked instead they serve it whole and give you a pair of scissor for you to cut it. It feels odd but it's kinda fun. Drinks are amazing too!

Great Flavorful Food

By Ishwar N |

With it new location in Decatur, the restaurant come with a stylish contemporary decor and louder music. The food is wonderful, but portion sizes were small. (Tapas style). We started with the meats - tasty selection of cured meats. This was followed by the flavorful oxtail. Enjoyed the veal. It was tender with a light batter. Service was great. Good selection of wines at reasonable prices. Only downside it the portion sizes - small for the price you pay. This was my favorite restaurant while in Roswell. It will continue to be so in Decatur.

Great Italian spot.

By clay m |

Fantastic Italian fare, great service and atmosphere. Ravioli was scrumptious. Braised short rib Ragu was some of the most flavorful I've ever had. Tortoloni was exceptional. Daniel's team does a wonderful job with the food and service. Zach was very attentive and Kaylynn was as well. Clearly a great team atmosphere.

Good - not great

By GSSATLANTA |

In my opinion, at this price point there are better choices for this type of food. Appetizers were better than the main courses

Great food & service!

By Beachgrl_Ang |

My first time to Double Zero. The service was excellent and the food amazing! Reta was my awesome server, she guided us through the menu and helped us make our selections. We ordered one of everything and shared- Misticanza salad, garlic knot, chicken piccata, and butterscotch budino.

Non traditional Italian

By Mary L |

Fun night out with friends. Passed this restaurant a hundred times, glad we stopped in. Great ambience and very attentive, personable service. Lamb meatballs are divine. Enjoyed perusing all the unusual choices on the menu. Ended up with pizza after all. Nice crispy thin crust. Fun night. Make room for dessert. Good for older kids if bringing family.

Tasty but Issues

By Jeremy C |

We just went here for the first time, and while the food was tasty, we were a little disappointed. The menu is pretty small, and there isn't much for vegetarians. We were in the mood for pizza, but the selection was pretty small and there were limited topping choices, so we just got the plain cheese pizza. It was definitely tasty, but it was pretty small for two people, but larger than a personal size pizza. The server was friendly, but we would have appreciated being told that one pizza probably wouldn't be enough for two hungry people. So, overall, OK, but not great.

Hip and Cozy

By ttbryan1 |

I was not familiar with this place, but went here for a friend's birthday and was very impressed. It is in the old Ink and Elm space in Emory Village. The place is very large, spacious and decorated in a warm, inviting and contemporary fashion. We had a party of 8 and they seated us in the front window with a nice view of Emory Village. It is a tapas place, but some dishes are a good portion size and you can get away with only one dish, depending on what you order. They had an extensive drink list and I ordered the Kenwood Pinot Noir and it was excellent. For dinner, I had the lobster pappardelle, which was a special and not on the regular menu. It was excellent and a good portion size and the only other thing I ordered was dessert. The dessert was the butterscotch budino and it was so good. Others had the pizzas, which they liked and they were also large portion sizes. Also, the carbonara and cauliflower were two popular dishes. The service was spot on and very attentive. The price was fine, as well. This is a great date place or even a small group.

Intimate spaces within a larger setting

By McFamGo |

The décor and inventive use of lighting really makes this place special. The floor to ceiling curtains really dampen the noise kicking off the concrete surfaces, so even people (like my husband) who wear hearing aids can conduct pleasant dinner conversations. There are pockets of seating, so one never feels overwhelmed by adjacent diners. Our server, the hostess, the water people were all attentive, without being overly so. 5 star for service and ambiance. However. the tonic at the bar was flat and without quinine, so a good ole Gin & Tonic was not possible. They tout their craft drinks, but you still need to do well at the boring old basics. 2 stars. The inventive dishes were somewhat too inventive, as they strove toward savory flavors, but without depth ... this is just my humble opinion. We ordered a couple of tapas, a salad, the pasta Bolognese ...and came away feeling unsatisfied with the flavors and sauces. Not dissatisfied, just unsatisfied. 3 stars. I guess the truer rating would be 3.5 stars, but that score isn't possible. Sorry it couldn't be higher.

Great food, service at a good price

By Ross S |

Off the beaten path for tourist but known by the locals this restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood. The food is fresh and authentic and will please you no matter what you order. Usually the owner will drop bya and thank you for your business. if you are staying on the northside then this is a must if you do not like chains. Good for families and well as copleas and maybe even business.

Horrible

By Ted M |

This trendy place is ok for people who don't know pizza, the atmosphere was good ,freindly staff but the place braggs about the dough yes it cost alot if dough to eat there but it was so bad (the pizza) I'M from Ny and most pizzerias are owned and run by Italian immigrants who really know how to make dough $$ Thus stuff was just awful I really dont know of any worse even last resort pizza hut was better Dont waste your money if you work to hard

Unexpected Palate Pleasure

By madamfoodie |

Net friends at Double Zero restaurant on Roswell road. Sat at the bar while I wanted on everyone. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable, they even make their own bourbon (DELISHhhh). Once everyone arrived we were seated and the waitstaff were knowledgeable about the food and preperations, friendly, constant entertainment. We usually order appetizers and share. Apps: lamb meatballs ( tender and sooo flavorful), pork belly risotto (herbs definitely made the risotto and the pork was tender), and butternut squash frittelle ( quite a surprise, like a donut with the natural sweetness of the squash). Time for dinner, I ordered the Lobster Pappardelle...OMG so good and the cream sauce was heavenly with tender sweet lobster tail. There was an order of the pasta special and 3 orders of the salmon with red quinoa. Everyone said their dish was Great. The dessert menu was good too. If you have not had a chance to venture here, I highly recommend it.

Double Zero is a double winner

By SolangeI |

I have been to Double Zero several times, and I find it to be a fun, well run restaurant, with many delicious menu options. The small plates are wonderful, my favorites are the Arancini, a heavenly ball of fried mushroom risotto with a heart of cheese and a hint of truffle, wonderful. Also, Polipo is a tasty plate of tender grilled octopus that will delight your taste buds. The pizze are quite good, they come out with tell tale burnt edges, thanks to the twin brick ovens imported from Italy and the double zero flour they use for their dough. I usually order the Margherita and ask them to put arugola on it, so good! Double Zero has a very nice selection of Italian wines and beers, and a fun bar to boot. We sampled the Tiramisu and the ice cream for dessert, both were worth the calories. There are many other delicious choices on the menu, you will have just go try them yourself!

Disappointing Fare but Early Days

By YourLadyMother |

We love tapas and wood-fired pizza, but we were disappointed in Double Zero. The space is lovely and comfortable, and Emory Village is desperate for good restaurants. The menu is ambitious and all the small plates and full entrees offer inventive dishes. Possibly too inventive-- mixing ingredients in an unexpected way is a rewarding trend, but works best (in my opinion) when there is a little balance of plain food (green salad) would be nice. The signature pizza was somewhat tasteless-- skimpy on the prosciutto, too. We appreciate the child's menu for the kids in our party, but a child mentioned that the buttered pasta seemed to have some oil she wasn't expecting (I believe the options were butter, red sauce, mushroom cream (which sounds delicious) and olive oil. The staff was pleasant but a little distracted, even on a quiet night-- there was a stretch where we couldn't flag anyone down. We will probably try again if we see the menu shift a bit.

Delicious

Fantastic service, great food for vegetarians and non veg folks and lovely ambience. Also a great spot for drinks and appetizers.

Not Just A Pizza Place

By 1TrippyTraveler |

Double Zero Napoletana is not just a pizza place. Sure the Napolitian style pizza is good, however, the restaurant also features Southern Italian cuisine and the food is even better. Try the pork belly appetizer and the short ribs with polenta dish. It is a good place to get a drink and the service is great. You will not feel rushed. If you are near Sandy Springs, make this one of your go to spots.

Fun Meal With Friend & Family

By Dealmaker |

This is a great restaurant to dine at with allot of friends or family. Many items to order that can be shared like pizzas, salads, excellent Italian sausage dish, lamb meatballs and especially the roasted pork dish to share with the table.Very attentive service. If you bring in your own wine their is only a $15 per bottle corkage fee.

company social

By Hank956 |

Company had a social at this local. It was great. First of all, John Smith at the Bar,was great. Great suggestions, you made my night. Valet parking is a great service, and it's free. The company selected a variety of apps, they were great. The bruchetta with cheese and balsamic was wonderful, the charcuterie was great. If you are looking for a place for a company mixer, give it a try.

Just Okay and A Bit Pricey

By Naomi S |

A bit disappointing. Went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was not very crowded. Service was very good. Pizza was good. Octopus appetizer was really good too. Prices were a bit high. Ordered a charcuterie board which had about 6 thin tiny pieces of meat and a couple of dots of sauce for $16. Order a cheese board and it had a few tiny pieces of cheese, which again was $16. Went to Tavola in Va Highlands a few days later and had an ample charcuterie board -- what a difference.

Great Pizza

By Inspireone |

My Italian mother in-law was visiting from Italy so I needed a good restaurant that she would approve. She was happy with this place, she is very critical of all restaurants that claim to be authentic Italian. She watched them make the pizza and place it in the wood fired oven and asked many questions. She didn’t order the pizza but I did and it was great.

Emory Village Has a First Class Restaurant

By Robert Franklin |

I took a group of friends here following a guest lecture. I was impressed with food quality, service and prices. Had great menu of cocktails with clever names, and exceptional enters and small plates. Risotto balls (Arancia), market fish (grouper was superb), artichoke dip, great! We will go back next week with another guest lecturer. Need to try dessert next time. Relaxed ambience, not fancy but friendly, and not too loud.

Great bartender!!

By Sbb1218 |

I went there yesterday for a business meeting at 5:00 pm. The down side was that the hostess could not find a place to seat us in a totally empty restaurant!! That was very strange. As if they had all these VIP reservations that prevented her from placing us at the first table! So, she put us at the bar to "wait" for an empty table. To our delight, we had an incredible bartender from England. Not only was he friendly and fun, he was also very knowledgeable about wines and fixed me one of the best cocktails ever!! Try the Welcome to the Springs!!

Delicious Italian meal

By Ramerian |

We dined at Double Zero for the first time Saturday, enjoying wine, salad, pizza, and their delicious scallops. Food, wine, and service were all excellent, culminating in decadent desserts. Make a reservation online, enjoy the convenience of valet parking, and prepare for a great meal in a comfortable environment. Nothing fussy or pretentious, here! And, you're five minutes from Punchline, which creates a very fun date night combo!

Great food

By spaintravelerAtlanta |

This is a great looking restaurant located in the heart of Emory University campus. Valet parking is offered around the back of the building along with some street parking in front of the restaurant. Reservations are accepted. Our party of 4 ordered several items on the menu to share and each of them were delicious and different. We tried the cous cous, the salmon, roasted cauliflower, Margherita pizza, and several others....all were great. Service was attentive and fast.

Excellent food; best we've had in Atlanta

By Sandy0906sea |

Excellent "Italian" tapas restaurant. The menu changes according to the season, and we were fortunate to enjoy the new spring offerings. Since tapas are served, the prices are reasonable. Three of us shared 5 plates (we repeated the outstanding scallops) and 2 desserts. Chicory salad, ahi tuna crudo, scallops with spring squash, and rye mafalda with spring vegetables were outstanding! Highly recommended. While only one of us is a vegetarian, we needed no meat for our meal.

poor service, over priced

By af892 |

The waitress was on the rude side. The service was slow and the food was way over priced. The vegetables were spread as tin on the plate as a piece of onion skin or vellum. Literally I could see through the whipped squash. Oh and I had two quarter pieces of summer squash to. It was tasty but I needed veggies with the hunk of fish. Way over priced and because it was the daily special their was no price, but one of the most expensive items on the menu. I waited so long for my food my friend beside me offered me some pizza. That was pretty tasty, but not what I ordered.

This is Not Italian at all!

By Eli2361 |

>I have been to this restaurant few months ago. A friend did speak very highly about it but to me, being a true 100% Italian, it was not Italian at all. The place is not very welcoming, service was slow and the puizza was a no no. Sorry... you should work on it as, when you offer something that you stae is Italian, you should make sure it is indeed.

Very disappointed!

By Atlanta_GeorgiaRosie |

What a disappointment! What happened to our wonderful Roswell Rd. Double Zero. We were regular visitors to the Roswell Rd location. Since then I have been to the Emory Village location on four occasions - leaving each time with the question "What happened?" Tonight we went one more time only because I had a birthday certificate, and it was terrible. As an Emory faculty member, I have taken visitors here to entertain. I will not do this again. Definitely will not be back.

Adequate pizza

By Michael M |

Friendly and great service, right by Emory University. Nice decor, good wine list. Pizza had good flavor though toppings slightly undercooked (mozzarella not bubbling hot).

Worth a try for a change of pace

By EBB1 |

The first thing you'll notice when you arrive, is the (complimentary) valet parking. They seem to have a large parking lot, so this is unexpected in the suburbs although you may snag a spot up front if you have a hard time relinquishing control of your vehicle! The restaurant is large not comfy, very loud. If you need a restaurant to accommodate your big group, it will fit the bill, but hearing each other may be difficult! A bit pricey - don't think pizza place; this is finer dining with a good bar menu. We ordered a seafood appetizer,Insalate di Mare. It was disappointing, not as tasty as I would have expected from the description. All in all though, it is worth a try for a change of pace.

Great food, management of tables was frustrating

By TateEA |

I should start by complementing how great our meal was. We had a casual weeknight dinner and shared an order of pasta bolognese followed by the American pizza. Both were excellent, and while we're confessed pizza-addicts the pasta actually stole the show. Noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a unique and fresh flavor. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. For the negative reason that I'm not awarding 5-stars. We went on a Wednesday night, and while I broke my rule of not going out to dinner in Atlanta without a reservation, I thought we would be fine for our impromptu date since it was a Wednesday. The hostess quoted us a 15 minute wait. In many restaurants this actually means 5-10, but at Double Zero on this night it meant 30 minutes. My frustration was further compounded once we were seated by discovering that approximately 40% of the dining area was not in use, including a large communal table in the middle of the main dining room. If the food were worse than it was, I wouldn't come back out of frustration. But I'm a sucker for good pizza/Italian food, so we'll be back with a reservation.

You gotta go more than once!

By Kathy C |

One of the owners, Steffani, has put her heart and soul into this place. She is very visible to guests and employees and not afraid to pitch in with the work! The results are spectacular. I could just pig out on appetizers such as Butternut Squash Frizzelle or the cheese but don't limit yourself! The pizzas are unusual, the pasta is homemade and they have a Big Green Egg smoker which makes anything better! "Double Zero" refers to "talcum power" fine, exquisite flour they use for pizza and pasta. AND the drinks are generous. I've never made it to dessert but maybe one day I will.

Was any staff member over 25?

By evantorch |

Be prepared; a reasonable (glass of wine for each of the four of us plus one mixed drink for one person--total 4 people--one shared dessert) along with three entrees was $170! Worse, we had to ask repeatedly for water and our server unceremoniously and without further notice, "transferred herself" to an incoming table of 8-10 people; bigger tips I guess. We felt as though we were eating in the kitchen of a culinary school--friendly but inefficient staff, delayed service of entrees and odd though not terrible decor. We saw no owner or manager.

Date with Kids

By Davelyn D |

Newbie to Atlanta and found Double Zero. Found out quick its not really a kid-friendly restaurant No kid menu but of course, they can make a cheese or pepperoni pizza for them. Dark atmosphere and fairly quiet; definitely a good date spot. Valet or self parking available. I would go back but without the littles.

Really tasty food, great cocktails

By Jennifer K |

On business at Emory, I ate at Double Zero. Friendly place for solo female. A tapas-type menu, I had the seared kale salad and flank steak. Some of the tastiest food I've had in a long time. Very fresh and flavorful. I also had a gin cocktail with grapefruit juice and lime - great summer drink.

Wow!

By Andrew B |

I went here with friends, and I was amazed. First off, the pizza. Double Zero has rules on pizza, making sure that certain cheeses came from certain regions, no "pizza sauce" is used, no delivery/take out, no slices (all in order to preserve quality). For the certification of cheese, DOP is used (AOC for France). To slice, they give you large scissors to cut pizza into various slice-like shapes. While cutting away, you need a fork to pick up stray pieces pf arugula (I had the Double Zero Napoletana), and other goodies. I am a tiramisu fan, and their tiramisu is well worth the eight dollars it cost.

Finally, more dining in Emory Village

By CBAndrewB |

We ordered two salads and two pizzas and all was mediocre. Have you had crushed crouton crumbs on a Caesar salad? Never till here. The salad dressing was bland and dressing really thick. We had another salad that was bland too. White sauce pizzas were bland and one had soggy crust. We had a bad night. It's ok but not great.

$17 for the cheapest glass of red wine - Bad service with an empty restaraunt

By LongIslandHungryGuy |

The good: Chicken meatballs were excellent and the brussel sprouts were perfectly prepared. The bad: The entrees were interesting and visually pleasing but the flavor was so-so. Lots of salt. After the meatball appetizer had me expecting much more. The waitress was horrible. If I'm paying $50 bucks a person then I would like the waitress to drop by more than every 30 minutes. The place was mostly empty (it was late) and it took a good 30 minutes just to order the appetizers. The waitress dribbled out the appetizers for about an hour before she took the entree orders. Needless to say, it took over 2 hours to eat and we started at 9pm. My bottom line: Charging more doesn't mean the food is good. By-pass this place and save your cash for a better value. Atlanta offers so much better food than this.

Excellent Small Plates and Cocktails

By Bryan H |

Excellent small plates (especially the scallops) and cocktails. Trendy, but welcoming setting. Reservations encouraged.

Pizza Amore!

By Mike_Adventure |

Somehow Double Zero has gotten by us on all the trips up and down Roswell Road. But now it's on our map and should be on yours. The food, pleasant and non-overbearing team of servers and Italian beer on tap make this a charming bistro and fun place. Family style seating or tables--whichever you prefer, make the place feel vibrant and fun--big or small groups. Our Pizza Verdure, served with our own scissors for slicing, was awesome. The other dishes (salads, fresh N.C. Pan Seared Flounder and my friend's Pork Tenderloin looked and ate superbly. And, with the authentic Italian pizza ovens you could expect and get bombelloni for dessert. . . .stuffed doughnut holes Italiano. . .for a wonderful end of the meal. We didn't want it to stop, but it did--the cappuccino and espressos were authentic too. Our server was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and kept pace with our relaxing and leisurely evening with friends. If you like the crust, you'll crave this place. Napoletana it is. . . mil grazia!

Double Zero is a flour

By hhstokes |

I didn't know that Double Zero was the kind of flour used to make this pizza. What a great concept for naming the restaurant that has this as a main stay. The dough makes the pizza crust incredibly soft and more of a star than the toppings. We had the butternut squash fritelle that were fabulous. The lamb meatballs and the brussel sprout salad were perfect to balance the pizza. My favorite of the group is still Sugo's but this was lively, fun and yummy for a bite after a show.

Eccellente

By Olive W |

Excellent Italian and nice atmosphere. Extensive wine list and we loved the fresh baked bread. Small plate menu is my favorite. The owner was checking tables and making sure everyone was happy, a nice touch. Server was on top of it. Will return.

Good Food

By Doreen M |

We went with a large group, our bill was $2500. Our first glasses of wine were awful, I think we had a bad bottle. They quickly opened another one. The pizza was so good that we ordered several more since the portions of the other things were ordered did not fill anyone up. We all ordered desserts and they were wonderful! Funny thing though the restaurant was dead the night we were there and you'd think a $2500 bill would be a good chunk of change, the person paying the bill asked for his drink to be topped off while paying the bill. The server replied sure but let me go back and ring it into the bill....REALLY for basically a quarter of a drink and our whooping bill. I thought that was tacky....otherwise, it was a nice place. The group of guys enjoyed bocce ball outdoors.

I wanted to try everything!

By atlantaaunt |

The owners of Cooks and Soldiers and the Iberian Pig have opened up another delicious restaurant near Emory. A similar dining concept with small and large plates to share( or not). The flavors of everything that we ate were all vibrant and not ordinary. For appetizer we had the duck toast, meatballs, and arancini. Dinner was carbonara and the orecchiette. We were able to happily satisfy a family of varied discernment. I can't wait to go back!

Memorable, exceptional food, lots of fun

By Wahoo81 |

From the friendly valets, to the amazing bar tenders, great servers and absolutely delicious food - this is worth the trip. Must try the roast prok shared appetizer - unique and amazing. we have been three times with six different people and everyone hjas raved about the evening.

Great for couples

By Michael G |

Had dinner for a special night with friends. Very good - love sharing the small plates, wine was very good, interesting and awesome drinks. Great addition to the area!

Reliably excellent

By George M |

I had dinner with a friend Friday night. This the third or fourth time we ate there in last 12 months. Our server Ashley remembered us from the last time and knew what we ordered and our drinks. She took great care of us. The food was excellent, the wine very good and the service was great. I mentioned to Stephanie, the manager, how impressed I was with the staff. She explained the in depth screening before the hire, and training after the hire, that they do with all of the their employees. It shows.

One of the best in town, period!

By Adam F |

I was worried to see a recent review givng Double Zero two stars, but then I read that person's other reviews and saw that they also gave Subway (SUBWAY!) and Antico Pizza three stars. Not only is it ridiculous to give Antico anything less than 9 stars, it is also insane to review Subway on Trip Advisor! I digress... So, we've been to Double Zero several times over the past year, and I am only sorry that we waited so long to try it! The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere and wine list are fantastic, and the service couldn't be better. I was put off by the location overlooking 285, but once you get past the front doors, you find yourself in a beautiful restaurant that could be found in any great city in the world. If you ever have the chance to attend one of their wine dinners, DO IT! We had one of the best dinners of our lives at one of these, and we were able to sample items from the chefs at the owners' other great Atlanta restaurants, including Iberian Pig and Cooks & Soldiers. My only disappointment with Double Zero is that we haven't been able to visit frequently enough.

Naples-style pizza

By GeorgiaBill |

Had a house salad that was just outstanding - very fresh greens, pine nuts I think, incredible house vinaigrette. Followed by a personal-size margarita pizza, bubbly and slightly charred edges. Perfect and very quick.

Great service and excellent pizza

By hkw74 |

Visited this restaurant with a group of four which included a six year old. The service was perfect and the pizza was delicious--made with very high quality, super fresh ingredients. The seasonal pumpkin cheesecake dessert was amazing. Will definitely eat here again next time we are in town. Valet parking was an added bonus.

Good pizza and great service

By Michael M |

Pizza is proper Napoletana thin crust. The affetata (aka "meat lover's") is good, but actually has too many ingredients. The Margherita DOC is better. Pasta is very good, wine pricing ranges from quite reasonable to expensive, allowing you to control the final bill while still having good beverages with dinner.

My search for pizza like Naples is over!

By Teresa F |

My trip to Italy in 2001 ruined me for all pizza in the USA!!! Especially since my trip included a stop in Naples where I had the most amazing pizza. Once I tasted the crust at Double Zero I knew my search was over. They even give each person their own scissors to cut the pizza, the same way they cut pizza in Italy. Laugh if you want, but it made cutting the pizza so much easier! We never get dessert at restaurants, but the pizza was so amazing that we had to taste their treats - the chocolate cake was delicious! I was really disappointed that they had a chocolate/peanut butter cake that wasn't on the dessert menu, but I saw it as I was leaving in the case. I would have preferred that, but I was still very pleased with the plain chocolate cake. Our table was next to the bar and we had a good time watching the crowds gather around it during the Friday night rush hour. I live 4 hours away and will definitely return to Atlanta just for this pizza!

Earns its name! Rates a double zero

By travelerphile |

Recently, for a Sunday afternoon lunch we tried Double Zero. The salad was okay but we can't speak about the pizza because the service was so bad we had to leave. We ordered a Margherita pizza. We waited.. a half hour, then an hour (the waitress kept repeating "any moment now", then another half hour (that's an hour and a half total) and we still had no pizza so we cancelled the order and left. The waitress acted like it was our fault by saying "if I knew you were in a rush I would have told the kitchen". Unbelievable! For this reason alone we will not be back again.

Great service, good food!

By Hometime3 |

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we weren't disappointed! Service was attentive and friendly (thanks Nick) and the food was interesting and varied. Lots of vegetarian choice meant I didn't feel left out. Starters arrived promptly - I had the Arancini (little risotto croquettes) to start and they were delicious. Partner had the pork belly and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Main course was good too - we both chose pasta which was tasty with a good sauce but a little disappointed to find a 'clump' of pasta at the base of the dish that had no sauce with it and was not easy to eat. Overall, this was a great evening with good food - when we are next in Atlanta, we will definitely be back!

Exciting Food which is Yummy

By Garvp175 |

We ordered a variety of the small dishes before ordering a fabulous pizza! The fried cauliflower that was unbelievable. None of us even like cauliflower but this was awesome. The meatballs were great. It seems all the small dishes are wonderful. Well priced too.

Excellent service, quality food

By fishnmb |

My wife and I went on a Saturday night but didn't have reservations so rather than wait 30 minutes we sat at the pizza bar which worked out well as we had paperwork to discuss. I was unfamiliar with ANY of their red wines but we went with the Tancredi and it was an EXCELLENT choice so I would bet that even though you may not recognize some of the names, your server can help pick a great choice. Butternut squash appetizer was GREAT and the salad was good. My wife's salmon was not cooked correctly but not only were they quick to not only make her a new one but remade my dish as well. I was eating REAL slow to wait for her food but they went overboard to make sure that we were happy and I appreciated that.....had lunch for the next day! Tiramisu was not the standard restaurant one you seem to get at every Atlanta Italian restaurant, it was different and better. Their after dinner drinks were AWESOME. I noticed large tables for big groups and while the open look may be trendy, I like the traditional quiet Italian flair but still a great place to come and you will certainly enjoy.

They've Upped Their Game

By JLCAtlanta |

We've come here many times since it opened, and have watched it improve. Most important to note, however, is that the kitchen has gotten fancy. The food is great, but it is not your typical spaghetti and meatballs as one might expect from a loud room that features pizza ovens. Other than the tough access on a very busy road, Double Zero is great.

Fine dining pizza

By shellietravis |

We tried this restaurant again after a questionable meal several years ago. Good thing since the food was first rate. The salad was creative and two pizzas had such fresh farm to table ingredients in addition to the famous double zero crusts. Excellent service. Only complaint is the high cost even with pizza and salad. But they didn't disappoint!

Interesting Italian food

By BritPop_69 |

This place serves interesting and delicious southern Italian dishes. I have been three times, had different dishes each time, and enjoyed them all. I would recommend the lamb cooked in the big green egg - totally delicious and at a great price. We are planning to squeeze in one more visit before it closes down and relocates from Roswell Rd to Emory Village.

Double Zero - Delish!

By Denise C |

We made a reservation asking for a quiet area and was seated at away from the other diners, next to the window. Perfect! We ordered the pizza, the eggplant, scallops, pasta and lobster risotto. Everything was phenomenal. The lobster risotto was served with large pieces of claw meat throughout the dish. Our server, Natasha was one of the best servers ever. She described the dishes accurately and with enthusiasm. You never knew she was there, but was always there when we needed her. I'd love to repeat the experience!

Good food. Great Atmosphere. Nice decoration.

Creative entrees and appetizers. Definitely the best ingredients are used here. Ambiance is great and the service very good.

Excellent Experience

By IN CONSTANT PURSUIT |

Been trying to get to Double Zero for almost a year and finally made it Saturday evening. All of the reviews are correct... excellent service and excellent food. She had the catch-of-the-day and I had the salmon. Both were skillfully prepared and the flavors exceeded our expectations. The table service was above the ATL average. The wait staff was actually friendly and not in too big of a hurry to stop by our table during the meal. She had one of Double Zero's signature cocktails and it too was an excellent preparation. Finally, the valet parking was professional and prompt. Overall, a great evening. We'll be back soon to try their pizza's. Highly Recommended.

Hidden Location, Great Food

By Luis J |

A client recommended this restaurant but had never been. The location is down the street from some of my favorite restaurants so I was skeptical arriving to a location I had passed a hundred times. We stopped by the bar for drinks while our table was ready and was interested to see they had a good variety of wine and cocktails. We started with a cheese board as an appetizer. We had a pizza and bolognese for dinner. The pizza was delicious, Italian style thin, and the ingredients and wood oven mix made it one of the best I've had in awhile. The noddles in the bolognese were made in house (you can see them making them on the way in) and that taste definitely reflected it. We had gelato and a cannoli for desert and they finished off an amazing dinner. The service was slow and sometimes unresponsive but the food makes up for this.

What a pleasant surprise!

By travelgirl065 |

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The Menu is a bit perplexing as we had to ask for an explanation of almost every dish. We eat out alot but could not understand the menu but our waitress was great and explained everything and gave her suggestions. There was a fried appetizer that I didn't try but everyone liked it. The chopped salad was delicious. The mushroom pizza was wonderful. Salmon was excellent. The chicken with rice and avocado was wonderful. The vegetable pizza was pretty bland and the only thing on the table that wasn't great. It was a birthday dinner and they surprised us with champagne and 2 desserts with a candle. Wonderful touch. We were a group of 5 and we all said we would definitely go back. Very nice experience!

Lunch sandwiches delish

By doosiesa |

The folks at Double Zero decided to try out some new lunch ideas at InterContinental Hotels Group headquarters at Ravinia. The chefs were on hand and provided FREE lunch to about 50 IHG employees. They had turkey sandwiches on focacia with arugula. One was regular, one was barbecue. Both were excellent. I think it is a great idea that they will be open for lunch and wish them the best of luck. Will definitely hop down the highway one exit for a good business lunch. Thanks for the lunch guys!

Nice local dinner spot

By Emma H |

This restaurant seems to get quieter each time I visit, but the food is always good. For the second time, our server was shadowed by a trainee; a little bit creepy having someone staring at you while you order, but there it is. I am glad they take the time to train staff properly, I suppose. Food is of good quality, although many of the appetizer portions are big enough for an entree (especially anything with risotto or pasta).

Great Pizza

By Kris DG |

It looked very nice when we turned up, valet parking and a great looking restaurant. Waitress suggested a special cocktail from the bar and it was spot on. She also suggested a wine for my wife and was very knowledgeable of the selections. We ordered one of each of the wood fired pizzas and they were delicious.10 out of 10 for service and food, had a great experience.

A consistent fave

By Michelle S |

Stephanie and Federico run a wonderful neighborhood restaurant which serves fantastic authentic fired pizza and Spanish delights. We have been to this restaurant six or seven times in the last two years and each time the food is consistent the service is wonderful. One of our favorite features is the bocce courts outside where we like to bring our kids and play a game. Unless it's date night and we are sitting at the bar for a fabulous Manhattan or house barrel aged negroni. Great cocktails, great hazelnut chocolate cake, great pizza to cut with scissors, and you must try the Larosta served family style with roast lamb or pork and all the fixings to make Spanish style tacos.

UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!!

By ROADTRIPPER2018 |

We were visiting with friends at Emory and discovered this absolute GEM of a restaurant at Emory Village. It’s worth a JOURNEY to have dinner here. The scallops were excellent and the potatoes were indescribably delish! We will definitely return to Double Zero for dinner!

Best Italian food outside of Italy

By Springman51d |

Trust me, I have spent months in Italy and live in Chicago where we know Italian food. This place takes the cake here in the US. The food, OMG the food! Let's start with the Pork Belly Risotto, cooked perfectly and so so flavorful!!! Follow that up with the Margherita Pizza from the wood fire oven, made with real Mozzarella di Bufala. Pair that with a wine from Puglia and you have an AMAZING dinner!!!

One of My Few 5-Star Reviews

By 1073BB |

It is so very satisfying to try a new restaurant and find it absolutely flavorful, original, and creative. And at a decent price overall. And with excellent, personable service. That was our experience two evenings ago at Double Zero (named for the 00 flour they use), a welcome addition to the Emory Village “strip.” It was our thirty-something niece’s birthday and her brother joined us. I was somewhat familiar with the cavernous space as I had eaten at its previous occupant, Ink and Elm. (And years ago at Jagger's and other incarnations.) It has been totally rethought—into a spare, casual, somewhat rustic venue. And reconfigured into three areas: an elevated bar level; a middle section with high-top tables and chairs (with backs, I’m happy to report), and a third, large area of tables which I did not get a good look at. I had asked for a quiet table and we were seated by the front window in a sort of lonely zone of its own—but perfect for carrying on conversation. (Next time I think I’ll opt for the hightop section as it looked quite atmospheric.) Overall, the restaurant was quiet that Wednesday night despite being the prime dinner hour of 7:30 p.m. And by the way, the restaurant is open only for dinner. As at most new/trendy restaurants, craft cocktails are offered here. I do enjoy one when dining out but I really have had it with the stiff prices (here, $9 to $15) and the exotic list of ingredients and brands, none of which any layman has ever heard of and which need a menu/dictionary of their own. In my niece’s immortal words, it’s a load of pretentious bull(expletive). And what a waste of a server’s time to have to define and explain such as DZ Cleveland Underground, Iwai, Egan’s, W.L. Weller, Hoodoo, and on and on. As it was, our lovely waitress Maya patiently did just that, as well as a number of items on the food menu. While the guys went with red wine ($8-$18), niece and I ended up ordering the same Fay Wray ($9), a concoction of pama (which everyone knows is a brand of pomegranate liqueur), lavender syrup, and prosecco with a sprig of rosemary (which really “made” it). The beer list ($6-$12) is 13 brands (three on tap) we elderly drinkers aren’t familiar with and (after trying very hard to like even one of the new craft brews and IPAs) knew we wouldn’t like. Seems they could stash a sixpack of Bud in the back for folks like us. Everyone contributed his/her input into choosing from a wide variety of small plates, coupled with larger entrées, a handful of pastas, and another handful of pizzas. I couldn’t wait to dig into some of the intriguing, offbeat offerings and was surprised when two opted for pizza. All of them rest on a sourdough crust, are large enough to share, and, in a very novel twist, come with a pair of scissors to cut the size slice you want. Meat-loving husband chose the Carni ($17) with spicy pork sausage, Calabrese salumi, cherry tomatoes, and fior di latte (definition: a semi-soft, fresh cheese made in New South Wales, Australia, in the style of Italian mozzarella; I found it out of this world). The pizza was OMG delicious. Even better, in my opinion, was the Funghi ($19), topped with mushroom cream, shiitake, shimeji, fior de latte, and chickory. We rounded things out with a fabulous salad ($8) of arugula tossed with thinly sliced apples, carrots, cheddar cheese, farro, and candied pecans in a lemon honey vinaigrette; and one of the best ways I can ever imagine to eat cooked cauliflower ($7): with spiced yogurt, bagna cauda and Marcona almonds. Maya was there to explain bagna cauda as a dip (here a sauce) made from garlic, anchovies, butter, and olive oil. But no, nephew was still hungry so we tacked on a plate of scallops ($15) with sunchoke purée, ‘nduja potatoes (‘nduja is a spreadable, spicy pork sausage), broccoli, and peanut brittle. It, too, was OMG good. You can’t have a birthday without dessert. Because it was hard to decide, I made an executive decision and ordered three of the four (the fourth was gelato or sorbet). All were excellent. The farro pound cake came with ricotta straciatella gelato, chocolate sauce, chocolate cannoli chips, and olive oil. The butterscotch budino (a custard) contained salted caramel, maple-oat sbrisolina (like a hard digestive cookie), and candied rosemary. The strawberry-basil shortcake consisted of a lemon-basil shortcake, strawberry compote, strawberry preserves, whipped cream, and basil syrup. All were $8. With tax and tip our bill for four came to $142, not bad considering that’s $35.50 each, about par for the course these days. And for a meal that surprised and delighted me from start to finish. It won’t be long before I’m back to try 10 or 15 other menu items! Parking is always a problem in Emory Village and the shops and restaurants that now inhabit this historical strip (some of the brick buildings have been here since the 1920s when they clustered around the terminus of the street car line from downtown to Emory University) have banded together to offer complimentary valet parking. It helps a lot.

Modern Italian

By GlobeTrotting558278 |

We have frequented Double Zero several times in the past year / all with excellent results. We have been seated at tables but our favorite place is at the pizza bar where you see the magic happen. Best thing on the menu is the pork belly risotto - EXCELLENT! The carpaccio is the best I've had in Atlanta. Fabulous martinis. Service is friendly and prompt. Make a reservation / this place is PACKED on weekends! Heard they are moving from the Sandy Springs location to Decatur - we will be devastated.

Great neighborhood find. First visit was fantastic. Service outstanding. Meals & dessert had amazing flavors.

By KDDATL |

Upon arrival people at surrounding tables were saying the food was incredible. Our server Erika was great. Wine, meal & dessert was great! Terrific experience!!!!

Cool, funky atmosphere

Excellent good, tempting cocktails, free wifi, top service. We came to this bar late in the evening and were delighted at what a treasure it was. If you haven't been to Double Zero, next time you're near Emory, you must. Highly recommended.

Good food, good value

By Susanne M |

This was my 3rd or 4th time here. Met for a late Christmas celebration with my sister and kids. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Good service, like the atmosphere.

awesome food, great service, a wonderful experience overall!

By Steve B |

My husband and I joined three friends for dinner at Double Zero last night and the experience was simply stellar from beginning to end. Our server, Maya, was attentive, personable and very knowledgeable, answering our menu questions comprehensively. The sommelier, Nick (from Grimsby, no less) was charming and very knowledgeable about the bottle of wine we ordered. The Dew Dropper cocktail I ordered was tart and refreshing. I ordered the arugula salad which was quite large and had a wonderful complex flavor profile, followed by the Orrechiette, a spicy sausage and pasta dish that was just the right blend of richness and spice, with cherry tomatoes adding a wonderful acidity and more flavor than I'd have thought possible. I had a taste of a couple of other dishes: the oxtail was unexpectedly tender and seasoned wonderfully (yes, this was my first experience with oxtail, but I'm sure it won't be my last!); the MPA pizza was clearly made with fresh everything, and the crust was heavenly; and the green curry/coconut milk broth served with clam special, may have been my favorite of all - rich, creamy and with exactly the right amount of heat - I suggest that the broth be served as the base of a seafood chowder (I'd order it every time)! All in all a really great dining experience!

Amazing Atmosphere

By Abb F |

Loved this place. It was very trendy and they make all their own juices for cocktail mixes. They have a GREAT Moscow Mule that is a 100 year old recipe and make their own Ginger beer. The food was above average and the appetizer menu is outstanding. Great place to visit and eat.

So much more than pizza

By Dan R |

We were invited to attend a Mothers Day Brunch at Double Zero with friends and family. Really appreciated the no-charge valet service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and made several recommendations. We tried a little of everything and shared bites with each other. We started with their assorted pastry basket and cocktails and wine. Then we ordered: scallops with squash, olives, and tomato-basil jam; tuna conserva salad with spinach, tomatoes and olives; carbonara with smoked lamb and soft boiled egg; burrata beet pesto salad with pears and apples; these were followed by a dessert sampler, which was out of this world. Each dish and dessert was presented with an artistic flair. In addition to looking good, the flavors were outstanding. If back in Atlanta, this is a place to try. PS, I was told they are moving to a newer and more upscale location a few miles away. This will be an improvement to their present nice but dated building.

Amazing steak!

By Lashe' S |

First time attending Double Zero. It was for a birthday party. The service was good and the food was really good. Believe it or not their NY strip steak was amazing! You'd think for an Italian place that would not be the case but it was awesome. I also tried a friend of mine's pizza and it was good as well. She got the Affettati pizza.

I don't go out for Italian

By Beth H |

My husband knows I have one rule when we go out for date night - no food I can cook at home. So when he said he had an Italian place he wanted me to try, I said no way - I can cook really good Italian food at home. I was wrong. I can't cook Italian food like this. DZN is amazing! Everything we had was delicious - Neapolitan pizza, lamb meatballs, salad, baked ricotta (the appetizer special that night), and a blondie with homemade gelato for dessert. Cocktails were really good too! The service was impeccable - friendly and knowledgeable. Other members of the staff checked on us as well, and as for feedback on the new appetizer we had tried that evening. DZN has a very in-town feel without having to go inside the perimeter. I loved this place and didn't expect to. Treat yourself to an evening at DZN!

Delicious Italian food and inventive cocktails

By Lora C |

While many of the items on the menu were quite pricey, I found myself at this restaurant three times during my stay in the area. The specialty drinks were inventive and tasty. The Fay Wray and Lucky Lady were especially good (a mix of botanical flavors with champagne or spirits). The pasta portions were a good size (I was able to enjoy a nice sized meal and have enough for a light lunch the next day). The wood-fired pizzas were yummy (nice balance of flavors and a good crust). The shaved brussel sprout salad looked a winner and friends that had it enjoyed it. The only complaint I heard about food (from our group) was the steak portions were to small and mediocre for the high price. Others who had sirloin really enjoyed it and didn't seem to care much about the higher price.

Excellent Italian style pizza

By Igiveuponthisdumbname |

Not your typical American pizza. They use a special flour from Italy, hence the name. This is a delightful family run place in Sandy Springs. Several family members came by the table to ask what we thought about the food. I enjoyed being here on a weeknight since it was not busy. Weekends here are very busy. Excellent selection of Italian wines and prosecco by the glass. The pizza with the smoked bacon and arugula was amazing. Service was great. I will return!

Great name and great food and service

By Lynn R |

After seeing this new restaurant for several months 2 couples decided to give it a try after a movie in Sandy Springs. It is in the location of an old plant nursery from the 1970s when we first moved to Atlanta. The first impression is very good as the valets for the parking are in uniforms and give fast prompt service. The hostess is very professional and courteous. We arrived early so we went to the bar with a beeper. Bar is long and narrow so it is hard to walk past the chairs at the bar and now where to stand if all the chairs are taken. This needs to be fixed. There are other areas outside or on the others side that should be used for overflow at the bar. The beverage manager's recommendation for a bottle of Italian red wine was reasonable and delicious. The dining area is on the dark side, with some areas separated by curtains. The tables and chairs are simple, yet comfortable. The food is sort of Italian and but more fresh and fun. We ordered several appetizers for the table and then two pizzas for the main course. They also have pastas. The special appetizers were great including a sausage one. We also ordered a cheese board with several specialty items for tasting with bread. The pizzas are medium sized and have unique combinations of ingredients. Definitely not delivery. You cut your own slices with scissors that they provide. There were few children on a Saturday night and a good mix of young and old patrons. We would definitely come back.

Unique Italian experience

By emac1012 |

I love Double Zero!! I have attended their pizza making class a couple of times with girlfriends and wanted to take my husband there for a fun, relaxed date night. We went at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday and it was not crowded at all when we arrived. By the time we left around 8, it seemed to be quite busy. The pizza is so very good and has a truly unique flavor. They have some interesting pizza choices and do not allow substitutions (only additions for $$). I like pretty simple pizza so I went with the American (not very adventurous, I know). The only thing that could make it better is if they had a build your own pizza option so you can have the sauce and toppings you want. If you go, save room for the cinnamon rolls for dessert! They are out of this world good!!! They do take a while to prepare, so order them when you order your dinner.

Great Dinner

By callmeJ2 |

My husband and I tried this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. The food was excellent and the service was great. The owner stopped by our table to chat and I was able to ask about the other restaurant, The Iberian Pig. Hope to try that next time we're in town.

Traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes

By Travelingforfun039 |

We knew by the name that these folks knew pizza so we started with a thin and chewy pizza with mozzarella, olives, roasted garlic, and artichokes. We also tried a chopped Brussel spout salad, a scallop special that seriously needs to be added to the permanent menu, and the lamb and tomato dish served with flat bread that our server recommended. Everything was delicious and enjoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone who has traveled to Italy and misses the food as much as I do!

Great service; nice atmosphere; good food

By Tim B |

We visited here for a recent dinner. The food was good, though not superlative. The pizza was excellent. The two roast dishes (pork and lamb) were good, but a bit overwhelming......too much tomato, too many toppings included to appreciate all the flavors.....at least for me. The service was A plus. We would return and try some different dishes.

Excellent food and service!

By Lauren M |

I'd heard this place was great. It's a bit of a drive from my home, but my husband and I finally made it here. It was a Saturday night and we got here about 8pm without reservations. It would have been a half an hour wait, but the good news was that there were two bars where we could sit and have a full course dinner...a regular bar and then a bar in front of the pizza ovens where you could watch them make the pizzas. We sat at the pizza bar. Everything was delicious. Although I ordered my salmon medium/well, it came out rare. They not only took it back but brought my husband a second full meal, which we had to take home. The server was extremely kind and two different managers came over to offer apologies and more food. This is probably the best service I have ever experienced! This combined with the excellent food gives this place five stars.

Great Atmosphere, Food, and Experience.

By Scott J |

This review is written after my third experience at Double Zero, but I could have easily written this same review after the first two visits. The location of the restaurant is conveniently located off of Roswell Road just north of 285. I believe it is the old location of Cabo Wabo and Good Ole Days (yes, I am dating myself here). Upon entering the establishment you quickly see that it is a laid back and chic location. Very comfortable for almost any type of entertaining you want to do. As we sat down, one of the owners came by to introduce themselves and to talk for a little bit to get to know us. I love this type of attention as it shows that they really do care about the experience of their clients. She was wonderful and very pleasant. The food was amazing! On this occasion we decided to order multiple appetizers as meals. Every one of them was delicious, but the lamb meatballs was my personal favorite. On my other two visits to Double Zero, every dish I had was just as delicious. My wife and I had just gotten back from Florence, Italy about a week prior to our visit and I have to admit that the Italian food was better at Double Zero that in Florence. Shocked me too! If you are looking for a romantic place for a dinner for two or a fun location for 20 of your friends to hangout and have a party, Double Zero is work a trip to see.

Great experience in the new location! Must try in Emory Village. They opened in early September 2016 after relocating from Sandy Springs!

Authentic food!

The food had an amazing flavor and presentation. Service was knowledgable and fast. I tried a margarita, made fresh with house tequila and it great.
