Just finished an excellent meal here with my hubby. Real wanted my salmon to be fabulous, but it was good. My husband loved the Thai Cod. It was really good. The outside seating was nice. DeDee was a great server and gave great suggestions. We would dine here again if the opportunity presents itself

Had oysters, crab artichoke dip, salmon bites, lobster bisque, amazing wine. My daughter had fish tacos she said were delicious. The service was great. Our table was ready right at our reservation time. Sat out on the deck and the water view was great.

Over priced, average seafood, service was good, the “dinghy” portion of clam chowder was literally 2 spoonfuls, “tiny bites” was 1 shrimp and 1 scallop, left hungry

Some of the best food I have ever had. I ordered salmon with Dijon sauce and the entree was simply delicious. The Dijon was such a wonderful accent to the salmon. It was paired with delicious risotto and some well prepared baby green beans. We started off with their delicious clam chowder. You shouldn’t miss it. The view from the restaurant really adds to the experience as well. The fresh made sourdough is a treat too. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

The restaurant is in the seafront (please note it has recently moved a few hundred meters). I had a very good dinner; the food was really good, particularly for the quality of the ingredients. The ambient is also very nice as well as the staff.

Lovely place to eat by the lake.serving mostly seafood.but if you don't want seafood there is other options. I had a small chowder for a starters. Absolutely lovely could have eaten more followed by the mixed grill of prawns, scallops and crab cake. Again food was lovely. Only downside was the grill is suppose to come with chips but there wedges. My wife had chicken tenders and a burger for mains.no complaints. The staff were nice, the restaurant itself is nice and cosy. Nice bar as well. Glad we came. Would recommend.

Our group of 15 were provided with a special table to celebrate a graduation. Sea food and beverages were served by Braelen who did a wonderful Job!

Really yummy restaurant with changing local entrées, plus delicious oysters. My macadamia encrusted halibut was *just* this side of perfection - slightly raw at one end and it could have used the tiniest splash of citrus to brighten the flavor. (That's just me being picky...) Our server was a delight, friendly and knowledgeable, with many helpful suggestions. A lovely spot on a rainy afternoon.

Duke's on Lake Union is a very reliable and convenient restaurant. My wife enjoyed the four chowder sampler and a Caesar salad while I had the cioppino, which was good, but the fish in it was not the freshest.

The clam chowder in the bread bowl lived up to its hype! The crab cakes were also very good and the salads were huge. There was also a cake/brownie ala mode thing (forgot the name of it) but it was very rich and satisfying.

Great ambience on the patio. Every dish was five star. Best chowder ever. Lobster risotto is delicious and quite delicate. The mixed grill with crab cake is over the top delicious. Very good service and fair prices.

We had an early dinner at this Lake Union location after a family member had cancer treatment from Fred Hutch Cancer Care Center across the street. Trey has provided us outstanding service multiple times and ensured that we were able to find a quiet table to dine. Our food was scrumptious, the service impeccable, and our view of the marina delightful. I ordered the halibut entree which was fresh, prepared perfectly, and tasted phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food and service...Ciarra was very attentive and helpful. I was seated promptly and the food was delivered first rate and very delicious. I ordered the fish and chips combo wombo...which included their famous clam chowder....it did not disappoint. I hgihly recommend this restaurant.Oh and by the way,the view is great.

My sister and I ate here for lunch on her birthday during the big heat wave. The service was very attentive. We both enjoyed the seafood chowder sampler. Included on the menu is a variety of chowders in which you can order 2-3 different chowders in very small "dinghy" sized cups. Nice idea and we were able to sample a couple. All we tried were very good. Both salads we had were excellent - Black N' Bleu Salmon Salad and Un Chopped Seafood Salad. Had a glass of white wine with the salads and we were not disappointed. Very enjoyable lunch!

We were in Seattle a couple days before our Alaskan cruise and were looking for some good seafood. This place was near our hotel in the Lake Union area. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. Most of us got the chowder and fish and chips. As midwesterners, we take full advantage of eating seafood whenever we’re on the coast. We were not disappointed!

We had a lovely dinner sitting by the window enjoying the water activity. We each had a different version of halibut and all were excellent. Great service too!

Duke’s Seafood Lake Union lends an ideal setting for a relaxing dinner, with sweeping views of Seattle and pleasure boats lining the shore. My meal got off to a great start with a bowl of clam chowder that was delicious. I selected the wild salmon stuffed with Dungeness Crab and Wild Mexican Prawns as my main course. I generally order salmon only at fine dining restaurants because it varies so much in quality. I ordered it anyway because of the hype on the menu and my being in the Northwest. But I found it to be mediocre, not bad but not especially good either. The dinner ended with some of the better ice cream I’ve had. Our server was excellent, and the team worked together to provide exemplary service.

We were visiting our daughter who was in Seattle for work. This is her favorite restaurant and is in walking distance from where she usually stays when in Seattle. The first night I had the Blueberry Lemon Drop which was delicious and refreshing. For appetizers my husband and I split the Seafood Deviled Egg Quartet which was amazing. We also had the Award winning clam chowder which was perfection and the "Un" chopped seafood salad. The combination was perfect. Our daughter always gets the Dungeness Crabby Deviled Egg (Usually 3). They are to die for... The next time we went we had the Flight of deviled eggs (again) - yes they are that good- and the lobster mobster chowder which was delicious as well. This time I tried the prawn, scallop and crab "un" cake mixed grill. The crab cake had lots of crab and very little fillers which was wonderful. The scallops and prawns were cooked to perfection. My husband opted for the cheese burger as he said he was seafood out... The ambiance was ok and somewhat cramped as there were 5 of us. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. I will definitely eat there again the next time we visit Seattle.

Our meal was so amazing that we got carry out chowder the next day! The outdoor socially distanced dining was wonderful. With heaters, blankets, and beautiful views it was perfect. The stuffed salmon and stuffed shrimp were decadent.

We ordered a 12 OZ red chowder & 1 seafood salad w/1 add - on that came in the same small container as the salad dressing = over $79!!! Crazy for takeaway. It all came packaged nicely and our Door Dash deliverer was excellent but the food was disappointing and very ordinary. Menu lacks panache for the price.

We dined on your amazing heated outdoor patio overlooking stunning Lake Union at sunset. We were treated to the BEST claim chowder and lobster mobster pernod chowder in the world!! Thanks so much for giving us the recipes so we can try to replicate those at home in San Diego. Our entrees were equally scrumptious -- macadamia encrusted Kodiak Island Alaskan halibut with an unbelievable yummy hazelnut beurre blanc, and a Dungeness crab and shrimp stuffed Alaskan salmon. Our waiter also gave us excellent service! You truly have a top notched eatery on the water!!

For the first meal in town, was craving clam chowder. Lyft driver recommended Duke's since it was across from our hotel! Did not disappoint. Chowder had more of a smokey flavor to it, and it was delicious, especially in a sourdough bread bowl. Different chowder than what i'm used to in San Francisco, but equally delightful!

Wonderful fresh seafood with patio overlooking the water and marina, as well as comfortable indoors. Lots of exceptional seafood appies - try the very lightly breaded calamari, the loco prawns, New England style clam chowder, fish quesadillas, etc to start then many excellent main courses. The key lime cheesecake with lime infused whipped cream is delicious, as is the carrot cake & brownies with ice cream. Very friendly wait staff as well but book ahead as it is very popular.

Decent prices and excellent food , the chowder is delicious ... The service was very good.... We think that the new location inBellevue is even better.

Stopped for lunch at Dukes during our Thanksgiving holiday shopping spree at the mall. Greeted by a friendly gentleman who seated us at our table. Started with the crabmeat dip as an appetizer which was very fresh. Ordered a variety of dishes, which were all good. “Oh My Cod” fish and chips were very good and the clam chowder was great. Lobster chowder was outstanding! They offer “small bite” dishes which were very good as well. Excellent service and loved the nautical atmosphere.

Amazing food and great atmosphere! Many fresh choices. Great chowders and the bread is to die for. We sat outside overlooking the marina - loved it!

My wife and I visited Seattle in the fall last year and found Dukes just a short walk along Fairview from our hotel. It was busy but were shown straight to an inside table (there are external tables available too). Despite being busy the staff were friendly and ultra-effecient. If you are going to Dukes you must have sea food (why would you have a burger?) which is the very best plus try the excellent chowder for an extra wow factor! We enjoyed our meals and drinks (good IPA large beers) and walked back along the lakeside to our hotel. A great memorable first evening in Seattle.

We ate dinner here our last night in Seattle. Everything was excellent. I got the small (2 oz.) portion of the clam chowder and wish I had gotten more. I also had the stuffed salmon which was very tasty.

We ate lunch at Duke's and found it rather average, at best. The "famous uncrab cakes" were not all that, as was the rest of our food: just so-so. The service was slow. We won't return as there are better seafood choices in Seattle.

There was a group of us and we all tried different things I started with a blood orange margarita that was delicious and my husband and I shared the Calamari that just melted in your mouth. My mixed grill was very good, scallops cooked properly my husband had the surf and turf, turf was a little tough but who has steak in a seafood place anyways! The service was great our server had tried most things on the menu which can make it very helpful plus she was just a sweetheart. One of my girlfriends is still raving about the Marionberry pie, so having read this try all the sampler chowders and the desserts you will not be disappointed.

The view from the patio was gorgeous. The food was delicious-highly recommend the burger!! The service was beyond exceptional. Shout out to Lauren and Lindsay for making the night feel special. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. There simply isn’t service like this anymore. We will be back!!

Prior to our Alaska cruise we spent a couple of days in Seattle. This restaurant was AMAZING, the double sour dough bread, clam chowder, salmon and dessert! Highly recommended! Best meal we had in Seattle!

From the fresh baked sour dough bread to the Dungeness crab cake to the salmon sliders, the food was SO delicious...served with a small dish of an apple- celery-walnut salad that made the perfect complement. Super-nice server, Adam, seated us on the deck overlooking Lake Union. This sunny noon lunch on the water in Seattle almost made up for the previous two weeks of rain!

Stopped in for lunch. The oyster selection was wonderful. We sat in the bar area and the service was amazing. We just had oysters and chowder, I love the dinghy option, so small and precious but at least that way you can try them all! Again, expensive but its FRESH seafood. I would highly recommend it! Even just split something. Great views!

We wanted to try the Seafood in Seattle and several locals recommended that we try Dukes. The food did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great. I took off a star for a dirty fork and a not so clean bathroom.

we wanted to see Lake Union and Duke's was great choice. Seems like tourist trap but it isn't. Food was fabulous and can't beat the view.

I’m always excited to eat at my favorite Seattle restaurant… Duke’s Seafood of course. It’s simply the best!

This is a nice restaurant and our second visit. My husband and I shared the crab cake dinner as they are known for the crab cakes, but we were not very hungry that night. As they say, lots of crab in their crab cakes which were good. We also ordered their 'award winning' clam chowder, which was fine. I think our company order a halibut dinner which he liked. Staff was nice and brought us an extra plate. We arrived without reservations on a Friday night. We did have a wait, but it was not extremely long and there is a sitting area outside of the restaurant where you can wait.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and popped in at lunchtime to check out the menu and make a window seat reservation. The evening meal was just what we wanted. We shared a couple of starters and each had our own main course. The panko prawns were delicious and so too my salmon. I had a glass of very nice Chardonnay ( not heavy but buttery and full of flavour) and a pretty decent Cabernet Sauvignon. Nicely attended.

We had dinner there last evening. Without reservations seated immediately, even though it was busy. Ordered 1 piece fish and chips and the smaller (29.90 ), “Grab your Bibb Dungeness salad”. The fish and chips were ok. The Dungeness salad had 1 & 1/2 tablespoons( if that) of crab scattered on top of an incredibly small side sized wilted salad (already tossed). It looked very unappetizing, My phone died or I would have taken a picture of it! It was not very tasty, and was ridiculously overpriced! The blackberry Margareta was ok, pretty, purple with a blackberry garnish! Would not go back, and hope the restaurant revives their presentation of a 30.00 entree salad- and looks at portions!!!-( was barg the size of a “side salad”

Nice lakeside location, mostly eager to please staff, well presented and fresh food. Just not quite there yet. Their “voted best” crab cake seemed overrated. Yes, not too much filler but no, not the very best crab to our jaded NW taste. The premium priced Bloody Mary was salad-like and undistinguished. Plates come swiftly from the kitchen, then runner and waiter move on or forget to come back as requested or to anticipate diners’ needs. When we brought this to waiter’s attention, he immediately comped us two deserts (which we couldn’t finish), so we went home happy and hopeful enough to give them another try.

Great food, ok service.....The scallops, grilled shrimp and crab cake meal was excellent..How hard is it to keep my Tea glass filled? really Our server would turn up missing???? I hate poor service......Make reservations....the place is very busy....ask for a table outside, its beautiful....Very loud inside....

There’s a reason this place is highly rated on TripAdvisor. My friend and I split the fish and chips and fish tacos. Both were great, but the fish and chips was the star. Sadly I have to compare all future fish and chip meals to Dukes. Attentive service.

Girls trip of 9 ladies. We are foodies and enjoy experiencing different restaurants. This was by far our favorite. If it hadn't been our last night, I would have gone back!

There seemed to be some mixed reviews on Duke’s but we wanted good salmon and crab. We chose Duke’s Lake Union location and it was a grand slam. Beautiful location overlooking boats and harbor. Clam chowder was our appetizer with mine being just a couple of ounces to get a good taste. Not your Mom’s New England clam chowder but excellent anyway!! It had some different spices that complemented the clams. Then came my black and blue salmon salad. It was the very best salad I have ever had. Salmon was blackened and salad included blueberries, blue cheese, pecans and spring mix greens. The salmon was plentiful so I got a taste in every bite! If I didn’t live in Texas, I’d be visiting Duke’s ever week.

The staff was very accommodating. We were in an area that was quite noisy and requested a quieter spot. The graciously moved us to a lovely table on their deck. The service was great. The food was delicious, loved the chowder.

We stopped her for takeout for our pandemic picnic in a park by the water. I started with the crab cake appetizer. My wife and I split the large Wild Child Mixed Greens salad. My wife had the Rockin Rockfish fish tacos (2) and I had the Pope’s Seafood Cioppino. I guess we are small eaters but we had plenty left over for lunch the next day – not that we are complaining. All the food was great. The Cioppino had great flavor, with a little spice. It came with a huge loaf of delicious sour dough bread. All the sauces and condiments (more than a human could eat) came on the side and it was well packed for takeout.

Duke’s is a fantastic restaurant. Every time I go to Seattle I make sure that I eat there. This time I ate there twice at the Lake Union location and once at the Akili Beach location. They have great seafood and a great selection of different types of clam chowder. The sourdough bread is so good. You can smell the sourdough a mile away.

We were looking forward to dinner here as we were so impressed with this place when in town 8 yrs ago. We met up with family who had never been. Flowers outside were stunning! We were offered outside seating which was AV without a wait. Very sunny & no shade from sun, after a few hrs was more pleasant. Service was courteous & attentive. Crab dip was tasty, side veggies were perfectly cooked & delicious, Brookie dessert was a hit but carrot cake unfortunate; tasted like a boxed spice cake with bland frosting, crab cakes (we had before that were top notch & why we returned) were sadly undercooked, soft & not crispy. Hubby had fried cod that was over breaded, dry, similar to a frozen breaded version. Overpriced food for quality offered.

Excellent service. Good food. Pleasant outside dining with view. Wsitress very helpful with suggestions.

Had an excellent lunch on our way to Vancouver. It was my son's favorite meal in our trip. He had the Colonel Mustard Wild Salmon and the Salmon was Fresh and done perfectly (and looked good). I had the Rockin' Rockfish Tacos combo with clam chowder. The clam chowder was great, tacos were good. I would recommend the Colonel Mustard Wild Salmon though!!! The service was great, and our server provided great recommendations. It was a little expensive for lunch, but very nice.

New to Washington from Colorado on a 13 week nursing assignment. My husband visited so we thought we go try one of the best rated seafood restaurants. Duke’s did not disappoint. I had the stuffed prawns, my husband had the seafood plate with the crab cake, scallops, and prawns. Don’t remember what it’s called but holy moly, they were both delicious! I know this because I picked at the husband’s plate despite his many ways of trying to block me. Give it a try, you might just leave there with a full belly and a goofy smile ;)

Good food, ok service. Went to dinner tonight after not having been there for many many years. First the good parts - the food was really good and the valet team was amazingly helpful and friendly. Now the challenging part and there was something that just didn’t sit well with me - and that was how we were treated by the servers. There were long waits between visits to the table by the wait staff . One of the orders was incorrect and instead of the young woman saying simply “ok” and returning the error to the kitchen, she proceeds to tell us that she brought what was written on the paper. Ok…. Were we just supposed to eat it ? We even waited some time to pay so that we could leave. I’m not sure what was going on today but it may be another decade before I visit Dukes again.

We were so lucky to find Duke’s restaurant. One of the desk clerks in our hotel advised us to try the place. The setting is right on the water and there is seating both indoors and outdoors. The fish and chips were so good, and the clam chowder is prize winning.

Terrific experience all the way around. We sat on the patio overlooking the water. The crab dip was outstanding. So too were the maple bacon shrimp and scallop mini app. The scallops atop ravioli was not too heavy and very tasty. The jumbo stuffed prawns were the best item we had! Sourdough bread is excellent too. Blood orange margarita is perfect for your Insta post. Regular margarita was solid. $7 to park for three hours. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Mediocre food, overpriced. I’ve had better fish at Skippers. You are paying for location- not quality. And, it cost $7 to park in their lot for less than an hour.

Perfect service.. The place was big and there was a lot of people, everything was clean and fresh. The service was fast and well executed and even if it was a lot of people the food came fast and was very god.

My husband and I loved Duke's. The food was excellent. I highly recommend getting the sampler of chowders--it was fun to try the different flavors and none of them disappointed. Great service, amazing location.

This restaurant is on Lake Union and is a excellent choice. The menu is extensive with plenty of gluten free choices. We had to wait for only 5 minutes for seating without a reservation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We both had the chowders which were outstanding. The menu is extensive. We both had salmon for dinner which was very good. The prices were very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food! Good drinks! Beautiful views. We had all the crab options on the menu and everything was delicious. Would definitely eat here again.

It's all amazing! We were very well received and even with my confusion of the reservation, provided a table. The waiter suggested the dishes and asked if he'd rather speak Spanish. We request an empanaged shrimp in coconut, simply divine. We ordered a salmon filled with siri meat and a cod taco. Both wonderful. For dessert we ordered a red fruit pie and cream ice cream! Of the gods... Super recommend!

Everytime my family goes to Seattle we visit Duke's on the water. The setting is close to where we stay, and the surroundings are so peaceful. The clam chowder is still what my daughters compare every clam chowder bowl to, and haven't found anything that comes close yet!

I was not impressed. Neither my meal nor my wife's was what you would call great. Not bad just kind of bla. Given the cost, I can barely give three stars

Food was okay, not great. View of the water was good, but of a relatively small lake that leads to the Sound, so no big ships or water activity to see. Most of the fish entrees were stuffed with a crabmeat concoction that included cheese. They could not leave the cheese out and so I had a very limited selection of entrees. I ended up with the seafood stew which was okay, although the toasted bread it was served with had an unusual taste? However, their sour dough bread was killer! My wife liked her crab cake! Wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

I flew into Seattle for a quick weekend trip to visit my son. It was a late Fri eve pickup and, only having had lunch (both of us as it turns out) we wanted a place to eat that was on the way home and catered to food allergies- my son is gluten free and dairy free! A quick trip advisor scan told me Dukes would fit the bill, but being careful we called to confirm. Once there the menu wa bountiful for food allergy patrons and, best yet it was all delish! I absolutely loved the fish tacos and New England clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl. My son had an item not specifically for those who are allergic but the chef waved his/her magic wander and turned it into a gluten and dairy free treat he loved. The cherry in top was amazing service with a smile that was infectious. Casual ambience with home feel service and great food. What's not to love!

Easy parking, great food, good service and a beautiful view. I loved that they have great gluten free option. We had a lovely family lunch!

Amazing blood orange margarita but mediocre food. I had the chowder and salad combo for dinner. There was something that I didn’t love about the chowder, I can’t pinpoint what it was but something was off. My son had the kids salmon and chowder and was starving afterwards bc it was such a small portion.

Sometimes restaurants with such a great location aren’t as good with the food. Not the case here. We loved our food - Claim chowder, fish and chips, yummy drinks (cucumber mojito).

We had the 12 oz Cioppino and the Crab Cake Sandwich. Both portions were small though the taste was good. The Cioppino had very little seafood, and the Crab Cake Sandwich cane with wimpy sweet potato fries. The complimentary sourdough bread was hot and had a crispy crust, but it had a sour taste. Pricey with small portions.

We had a great time here. My drink was always full. The chowders come in every size from a small taster to a tureen. Hamburger was excellent, salmon was too and I highly recommend the crab cake sandwich. We would certainly return when we travel to Seattle in the future. Great job!

Some tourist restaurants rest on their laurels, while others deserve all the praise they receive. Dukes falls into the latter category. Its beautiful view (at the South Lake Union site) added to the entire experience, but it would have been worth it without the view. The drinks are fabulous (especially the renown Bloody Bloody Mary) and the clam chowder was the best we have ever had (and we live in New England!). Definitely worth it!

Girls trip to Seattle to celebrate double 25! This restaurant was recommended and it was worth it!! The Lake Union view in evening was great! I had the stuffed halibut with a dinghy of award winning chowder. Best birthday meal ever! Topped it off with Marion berry pie! Highly recommend for celebratory activities!

Excellent seafood, with a great view across the lake. The night we went, the place was packed and noisy - which was fine for us, but might not suit everyone. We were glad to have booked in advance - those without reservations faced long waits. The staff were friendly but very busy. The decor is determinedly quirky, with the fishing vibe pushed to the limit - yet it works. But the real reason to visit this place is for top notch seafood well prepared. Everything was delicious, but for me the star of the show was the Dungeness Crab “Un”Cake.

We've been many times over the years, love to stop in for lunch or dinner on our way to Seattle It's easy to find and service and food are reliable and good !

Everything was excellent, especially the Lobster Mobster Pernod Chowder. Impeccable service too! So good that we went back the next day! The setting is very nice.

We stayed in West Seattle for a week I made reservations at several restaurants well in advance, asking for a table with a view if possible. Salty's, Harry's and Duke's all came through with great food, service and table, but.... At Duke's, I went to park the car and returned to find my family was moved from our corner window table (after getting water and menus) to a cramped booth in the back with a chair stuck at the end, out into traffic, to accomodate a fifth person. Apparently someone important was possibly coming and we were moved, ostensibly to accomodate them. They never arrived, and the corner window table stayed vacant during our entire meal. The manager (?) gave an arrogant BS excuse rather than an apology when I asked why we had been moved, and could not be moved back even after the no show by whoever we had been bumped for... The food was good, the server (Jesus) was top notch, but getting moved to the back to a table we barely fit into, and particularly the attitude of the manager, spoiled the experience I so rarely write poor reviews, but this evening was the lowlight of our week

Dukes was amazing! We ordered 3 apps, fish taco, lobster chowder and sampled a bunch of drinks! Blueberry lemon drop was amazing! Highly recommended!! Server was amazing and food came out super quick. Definitely sit outside it was a little chilly but they provided blankets and turned on the heaters. The view was absolutely gorgeous at dark.

We had a lively dinner here in advance of a wedding party. All guests were invited to order from the menu, which was generous of the hosts, but I felt bad ordering a pasta and salmon dish that was $36! It was tasty, though the pasta in the cream sauce congealed and clumped quickly. We also had the cod fish tacos. We did not eat them as a taco as they were overflowing and would have likely spilled onto my lap, but enjoyed what fish there was in it. The brownie and ice cream dessert sounded much better than it tasted. The brownie tasted stale so I tried my best to cover it in ice cream to mask the dryness of it. Barely any chocolate sauce, which was disappointing. Kudos to our excellent server who capably cared for all the diners at our table.

First of all: Service is great and fast, food is tasty, atmosphere is great... Still little complains why not calling it excellent or even very good: - Size of starters could be bigger - especially when you plan to share. Feels a bit like a tasting menu. - Food was coming warm but not hot. - Fish was slightly overcooked. Actually for all of us - so at least quality was consistent. However, a seafood place like this should know how to bring it to the point. - Cakes are much bigger than you think. Feels like the restaurant wants to compensate on smaller portion sizes for starters and mains. - Ice-cream/Sorbet came in a bowl on top of a plate. This plate actually was quite warm - which should be avoided when serving ice-cream.

During a crowded Friday happy hour a few weeks ago we walked in and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. Warmly welcomed, we ordered drinks and food right away and were treated to what makes Dukes a favorite, great food, great drinks, King Estates Pino Gris, Chowder, a burger and dessert! All are the reasons we will always return to Duke's at Lake Union. We have special memories of being there a few years ago on a cold and stormy night and sitting around the fireplace. It's always warm and inviting. Great staff, an easy casual fun place with great food. What more could you want ?

Excellent food and great views of the waterfront. Fantasic place to meet friends and soak up the evening sun whilst enjoying the lovely sea food.

I had the best clam chowder of my life!!! And the crab cakes were also amazingly delicious!! Highly recommended to go with friends, family, couples or solo

Restaurant is on Lake Union, has inside & outside seating. Appetizers & meals are extremely expensive. Coconut prawns and crab cakes were pretty good. For main meal, had the Fish & Chips combo - clam chowder was ok, fish was too dry & tasteless for a $32.90 meal!

View was terrific. Interesting menu. Food was in smallish portions but that was fine. Pretty and tasty. Service excellent. Question tho. Is there bacon grease in the crabcake? It seemed to have that taste. I would be pretty upset if it did.

Outstanding food, service and views. Seafood was fresh and delicious. Raw oysters were perfect as well. Crab cakes are a must try.

After paying $6 to park next to the restaurant, I went thinking that was a pretty poor way to start our dining experience. Sure, land value must be high, but so are the dinner prices. Ok, moving on. It was a breezy evening on a not too hot day, and we sat out on the deck, but the heat "lamps" weren't in action, so we were chilled a bit all the while. Strike two. View was great and so was the service, so things were looking up. Small cioppino servings were more than adequate for each of the two of us who ordered that, and the Black n Blue salad was pleasing to our third party. The fish in the salad was dry, but the dressing made it a good serving. The "topless salmon appetizer" was terrific although there were only 3 pieces of toast and fish. Oh, and the person who had the mixed set of oysters was very pleased. With no alcohol, we 3 rang up almost $150 before tip; pricey but we'd probably go again, with sweaters, for a special occasion.

We were recommended this spot for dinner by our hotel and the food was really good. We weren’t too hungry so we ordered appetizers to share we got oysters, coconut shrimp and calamari. Out of everything I would recommend the coconut shrimp, it wasn’t too much coconut on them and tasted amazing. We also ordered palomas which were very tasty. Our bartender ended up being our server and he was very very nice regardless of how busy he was. The restaurant is on the lake and has amazing views I recommend to anyone who wants to grab a good dinner.

Great new location with a lot of spaced outdoor dining and views of Lake Union over the moored boats. The food was really good - we had chowder, fish and chips and Caesar salads. My favorite part is the vibe. Lots of dogs on on the deck and a relaxed spirit.

Good food. Good drinks. Will likely be back when we stay at Lake Union Silver Cloud Inn . Right across the street. A little hard to access during the construction; had to wait awhile for a Lyft after dinner.

Food was good , ambience was OK! Not a mess go to however, if you were in the area it’s a great choice! Service was excellent

This place does it right - the menu is vast and has so many different seafood choices, it's hard to decide what to order. Everything is freshly made and the food is high quality. I recommend the clam chowder and anything containing the fresh crab meat. The Crab Bibb Salad is wonderful, as are the Cod Tacos, the Topless Salmon Appetizer and the Fisherman's Favorite. Enjoy!!!

Loved it!!! We had a great time here. Located in a beautiful place with a beautiful view. Since the moment we arrived the staff was really nice. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Their menu is outstanding. We had great drinks!!! Loved their bar tender. Food is absolutely delicious!!! Really recommend their clam chowder!!! Great selection of wines.

Yum yum yum! Parmesan halibut was amazing! Lobster roll was delicious and the crab cake sandwich was yummy! Drinks and service were great, but the outside patio with a view of Lake Union made the experience special. Make a reservation and go!

We decided to venture north to Lake Union, getting there via the Seattle Street Car. We lucked out...it was a beautiful sunny day, so we opted to sit outside and enjoy the views. It started to get a little chilly, so they turned on the heater. Our waitress was very friendly and cheerful....which always sets the tone. We each ordered their 3-course meal (choice of chowder, salad and entree). All were excellent. I had the traditional clam chowder and my hubby had the lobster mobster. Both very good and rich....just be aware if dieting or lactose-intolerant. They even provided a copy of their chowder recipe with the bowl served. You also had a choice of any of their salads to order. For our entree, we both ordered the rockfish tacos, which was good. Glad we visited the area...this is also the area where Amazon has a LOT of buildings, so if you are doing the Amazon self-guided tour, check this place out!

Fantastic food and service. Halo gave us excellent choices. We got clam chowder and crab cakes. Yummy. Beautiful view. Will definitely come back to enjoy dinner.

Got the stuffed prawns ($36) which were small compared to what he's used to. He wouldn't order them again. He also got 12 variety oysters which were very tasty but again small compared to what he's used to. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was very delicious. The fries were more along the lines of a steak fry which were perfect. He ate some of my fries. The service was impeccable. The view is excellent. Pricing to high for the small amount of his prawns/oysters. He did enjoy the blood orange margarita. We took an Uber there. (Our first Uber experience--near 6pm so was costly.) I'm unsure if parking costs or not. Happy Hour 3 - 6p AND 9 to close.

Excellent food! Very nice view! We ordered fish tacos, some salmon saliva and a salmon sandwich everything was delicious And the spectacular view

We set up reservations at the Union Bay location and we’re seated on the back patio. The views were gorgeous. This is weird maybe but the table bread was delicious, it had a great flavor and was high quality. The clam chowder is all everyone could talk about. Get the clam chowder. Don’t hesitate for a moment if you even somewhat like it. My aunt said it’s the best she’s ever had and she is a seafood aficionado. The servers were all great, friendly and attentive. This restaurant was so good we almost came back the next day again!

I sat at the bar. Ordered a 16 oz can of Rainier for only $3 - happy hour. I had the fish and chips plus clam chowder- Seattle style which is New England type maybe a little thinner. Delicious with a hint of bacon. It came with a warm mini sourdough half and plenty of butter. Bread was on point with crusty outside and soft interior. The two pcs of fish were breaded and crispy the potatoes were French fried chunky and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was good. Location is on South Lake Union and on the second floor upstairs- elevator available. Great views of the shoreline and ships with the bonus of seaplanes taking off and landing. Parking appears plentiful- valet. Silver Cloud Hotel across the street- see my review- and Residence Inn a block further away. Electric bus/trolley stops with light rail terminal/end two blocks away. I would return to this restaurant great for couples or friends and family and view.

As long-time customer of Duke's, I was surprised by the terrible service we received tonight. We had reservations and were seated quickly, but then no one came to take our order. We left after about 10 minutes of neglect. The so-called host and hostess didn't care about the poor quality of the service. We left and plan never to return.

This was recommended as we were waiting for our Lock Cruise. Great location and had a table overlooking Lake Union so could watch the Float Plane and Boats. Food was amazing, my Partner had Macademia encrusted Halibut and said it was probably the best fish dish he has had. I had the Lobster Chowder and good old Fish and Chips, which was good (not the same as at home but good). The bread they serve was also absolutely delicious.

We went to Duke's new location for happy hour last Sunday for the first time between musical theater shows. Arrived about 4:45. Worked out really well. We sat at the bar which was contained at the bar. Service is always odd at bars it seems. Lots of folks working and helped us when needed. We weren't in a hurry but others might think that the staff isn't attentive. Food was excellent. Crab cake was delicious! Got the large shrimp/crab cocktail which was also yummy and fresh. Other items we got included fried calamari strips served with a couple of nice dips, grilled shrimp, which was surprisingly flavorful and served warm. Next to it was a cylindrical presentation of diced avocado and diced tomatoes--so good! Everything was fantastic. My husband enjoyed the alcoholic beverages as well. We were really glad that we were detoured by the dead end road block. Otherwise, we would not have even thought of going there. So glad that the road block led us to nice visit with an old friend. We plan to go back soon.

Excellent choice for a variety of fresh options. We stopped for an early dinner and while we had to wait for seating, we were thrilled at the menu. The chowder is delicious and different than we chowder we typically get in northern California. We ordered a couple of different dishes so we could try a little of everything. I would recommend this restaurant, but suggest calling ahead for reservations.

Food was bland and serving sizes were small. You also have to pay to park. Go somewhere else for half the price and have a much better experience.

Back in the day I’d occasionally tie up my boat on the peer adjacent to Dukes on Lake Union and venture in for good seafood, burgers and brew, wine, and great cocktails. I recall Dukes as an active and lively spot. The new location is just a few blocks to the north on Fairview St.; it looks like Dukes has tried to take the dining experience upscale. Sadly gone is the proximity to the water and on a recent Saturday night, lack of any vibe, personality, or a sense of a Dukes identity. Sure they have outdoor seating and the bar has the game on; but it seems so “ordinary” now. They have raw bar with oysters and to my chagrin I only found this out on my way out after dining; a clear miss by our waiter. The menu is diverse, food great as I remembered (our party enjoyed Halibut, fish and chips, and prawns) with decent portions for the price. Would not recommend the clam chowder; adding tons of herbs takes away from the essence of the chowder in my opinion. Service was lackluster. Maybe an off night….

Lovely evening on their deck overlooking the marina. Great service. Great food. Clam Chowder can’t be beat. Fish and Chips were another favorite of our group.

We were in Seattle for a day before a cruise. We decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. In short - average food, very pricey, mediocre service and nice waterfront view. My son had the blueberry salmon, I had a vegetarian pasta dish, and I can’t recall what my husband had other than the Cajun chowder. My son and my lunches were nothing special. My husband said the chowder was excellent. Hot delicious sourdough bread was served along with meal. We did not get any appetizers, drinks, salads or desserts and our bill with tax and tip was $120!! A single taco or a burger, both without any sides, is $19, which I consider expensive.

Went for dinner while visiting friend. Had clam chowder in sourdough bread which was ridiculously good. Their crab chowder is amazing too and so worth to try are fish tacos! Great place with very nice view of the port. Crab dip was very tasty too. Service was very attentive and polite. Highly recommended!

Was in town with friends and we went to dukes seafood after a very tough day. The staff and manager were truly incredible - kind, caring and efficient. The food was terrific, the view beautiful and it was a memorable night. Highly recommend.

Great seafood cities in the US will always have their superstar waterfront seafood restaurants, and this is one of them. A diverse and appetizing menu. What I especially liked was their selection of 4 different chowders, served in 4 different sizes, ranging from small sampler cups to appetizer portions, to hearty meal portions. Their entrees offered various portion sizes (eg. choice of 1 or 2 fish filets, or 1 or 2 tacos), which allows each individual to better tailor the portion sizes and pricing to suit their appetite. Food was top notch, and the servers were upbeat, positive, and helpful. If the weather permits, try and get an outdoor patio table overlooking the harbor.

Traveled to Seattle for a celebration for my daughter’s 21st birthday. Struggled to find full-service restaurants for dinner and the hotel provided a list of restaurants that were open. Luckily Duke’s was listed otherwise we might not have found it. It was fabulous! Our server, Gustavo, was so attentive and helpful. We had a chowder sampler to start with fresh bread and butter. I couldn’t decide which local wine to choose so he brought me samples of each. Food was served quickly, hot and was amazing!

Duke's is a local chain restaurant specializing in seafood and tourists. Usually, I avoid joints like Duke's, but it was five minutes from our hotel with a view of Lake Union. Thus, we strolled along the lake in the rain to lunch at Duke's. I loved the view, and the kitschy nautical decor kind of fit my mood. The award winning New England clam chowder was good, not great, and the fish and chips happened to be very good. Our server Shawn, was the best thing about Duke's. His suggestions and good nature added an effervescence to our dining experience. Although the rain continued, it didn't damper our enjoyment of Seattle. Duke's might be fantastic on a bright summer day. On this kind of dreary, December day, it was just okay. I should add, patrons pay for the view. Duke’s is rather expensive. Our lunch of two large chowders, two deviled eggs, an order of fish and chips, and two colas came to $80.00 without tip. That is high.

My husband and I discovered Duke's in Tacoma, and it was so good that we wanted to try this new location. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the view was beyond beautiful.Very friendly greeting followed by wonderful service from Tim! We started with the Coco Loco Prawns, followed by the Lobster Mobster Chowder (note that I do not like chowders as a rule, but this chowder is UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!! and has won me over!) My husband had the Butterscotch Halibut special of the day, and I had the Oh My Cod Fish and Chips; both were beautifully presented and totally delicious! We had a terrific lunch and a fun day--coming back soon!

Late sunny afternoon and seated inside by the window. Wonderful view of South Lake Union and marina area. Attentive wait staff and friendly. Cocktails - excellent. Warm sourdough bread and butter. Delicious entrees'.

My wife and I had an excellent meal and good service tonight at this fish and chowder house. I had a taste of a Pacific NW chowder with salmon, cod, prawns in a tomato base. Very good. My wife had a fettuccine and prawn entree while I went for a cod fillet in a bath of Thai seasonings - coconut milk and ginger - with zucchini, spinach and rice. A fine evening.

We had dinner here on our last night in Seattle on August 21 and the food and service were exceptional. Both my husband and I had the chowder, which was the best I've ever had, and I had the halibut and chips and he had the cod and chips. Both were delicious - especially the cod was so much more flavorful and meaty than the cod we had recently on our Alaskan cruise. Our waitress (I think her name was Golban) was super - nice, attentive without being pushy, and truly made the evening enjoyable. I learned that this is a Seattle chain, but would highly recommend it as one of the best meals we had on this vacation, and best seafood restaurant we've been to in a long time. 5 stars!

We had a nice table looking out on the lake and the city lights. We had some great food - Oysters, Crab cakes, Caesar, Rock. Fish taco combo with the northwest chowder, kids Mac n cheese combo, and a crab sandwich combo with clam chowder, a brookie Betty Boop all pared with a bottle of San Simeon Viognier. They comped a carrot cake for my wife's birthday. All the food was perfectly prepared, presented and served hot. Our server did a great job of being helpful, attentive and friendly.

Salmon was overcooked, service was mediocre, meal size was small and cost was expensive. We’ve been happy with Dukes in the past and have been to all of their locations, but the quality and experience was quite lacking at Lake Union this time.

What a fantastic place to eat , both our meals were delicious. It was Mother’s Day dinner so place was very busy , staff were amazing. The young lady behind the bar was just incredibly good at her job, she was so busy and still had time for a small chat. Would definitely recommend this place to eat.

100 for 1 fish taco, crab cake and a glass of wine. Fish had zero seasoning and dome cabbage, 1/3 cup of chowder, and a crab cake that was average at best. Skip it

Good food, nice lakefront location – It’s easy to fill up on the warm sourdough bread that doesn’t last long on the table. The meal is very good: a cup of smoky-flavored fish chowder (far different taste from New England chowder), fish and chips, and a cod wrapped in prosciutto with a very tasty polenta and zucchini. Add in a beer and soda for a total of $68 before tip. Suggest a reservation even midweek as there was a line at the door when we departed early. Restaurant is in a maze close to the waterside. After 6 p.m. you can angle park for free by the entry driveway.

Jumped into this local favorite before heading to the cruise port , South Union location! Sitting out in the rarely seen 🌞! Service is on spot , FOOD IS OUT OF THIS 🌎 . When in Seattle, visit a DUKES , you will not be disappointed

This place is very popular and rightly so. We booked a table for dinner and were seated in the quietest spot they had to offer. Prompt service by SCOUT who looked after us well throughout. Lovely Halibut, scallop ravioli and fish & chips. Good wine pairings. Would go again (in fact we went there twice in two days, that says something).

We had lunch at the dukes at lake union. The restaurant overlooks lake union with nice views of the marina, sea planes and yachts. Dukes has an extensive menu. The clam chowder was great and the salad was fresh with fresh ingredients. The cod fish and chips was really good. The cod had a nice crispy coating served with wedge fries. Good service and nice atmosphere

We enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the 4th of July at their outside seating area. The view was beautiful. The atmosphere was really nice. The food and drinks were good.

We ate here on the last night of our trip and were glad that we did. We didn’t need a reservation to get a dinner table. We loved the view of the lake from near the bar. The fresh bread, clam chowder bread bowl, salad, and chicken sandwich we ate were all delicious. The service was very attentive and our waitress did a great job keeping us updated on our order. The beer was nice and cold, too.

A staple in my book! Always fresh seafood, nice selections, and friendly, professional servers. Last night brought a couple of exceptions that I hope are anomalies. The hostess was more concerned about looking at her iPad than greeting customers and seating them promptly. While we were waiting, we saw a table of 7 led to their table and back again to the front. Was the table not large enough? Was it not ready? We waited about 15 minutes, even though we had a reservation. The person who seated us was the friendly professional person we were used to, so there was hope! Our server was highly efficient but not friendly at all. When I showed her my birthday promo, she barely looked at it. Never even bothered to wish me well. The food was good, as usual. They seasoned the chips in the fish and chips with something that was not to our liking, but everything else was up to their usual high standards. Overall, there were a few disappointments, but I am hoping it was a rare occurrence.

Had dinner here during Happy Hour and it was absolutely amazing! The view is spectacular and the meal was delicious. I would highly recommend the salmon sandwich, so good, the chowder is also scrumptious. If you don’t mind waiting for a table and splurging a little, this is the place to go. Also tried their beer and blueberry lemon drop, both great! Overall would recommend!

Never had a bad experience here. The booths in the bar are a bit comfortable because they are straight backed and close to the table. Good food, good service, albeit a little pricey. Atmosphere is worth it, though

Very nice sea-side themed facility and nice view from the patio. Very kind service. Really good food, especially the salads. Good drinks and overall stylish presentation. Dessert and coffee were ok but not much to brag about (although they do :) Serving sizes are fairly small and price can run up quickly (you will be north of $50 per person even for a restrained meal like sharing the main dish and desserts, and no alcohol: better plan for $100/person with cocktail, wine and full courses). Consider the combos and the menu option. Overall a great experience.

I have been going to Dukes Alki for 30 years. The food and drinks ate always high quality. Staff are always wonderful, but this is a tip driven place for sure. Prices have doubled in the last 10 years or so which is fine. But portions are not what they used to be. You should be aware that 1 piece of cod abou 2 or 3 oz and and platter of mediocre fries is 20 dollars. Two pieces of cod and too many fries is 25 dollars. Avoid it unless you dont mind overpaying for an unhealthy meal. Lots of other choices. If you want great fish and chips go to Ivars and you can get halibut for about the same price. 50 dollars per person with 1 cocktail is about what it cost. Get the large spinich salad and add salmon or shrimp and you will be glad you did. Coconut shrimp has always been great.

My spouse didn't care for her fish and chips (I liked the fish with their tasty tarter sauce) and I thought the "Un"Chopped Seafood Salad" did not provide any seafood taste at all. The wine, beer and hot bread were very dood. Go for the view, not the food.

Absolutely amazing experience!! Great food and outstanding service!! Oysters, stuffed shrimp and fish and chips were to die for!!

Ask to sit outside - best place to enjoy the food. We had a bottle of Up River White sauvignon blanc ($48). Excellent. Coco Loco prawns ($17.90). Sriracha North cod ($28.90) - Holy Halibut macadamia ($44.90) and Pistachhio halibut ($42.90).

I had a lovely summer lunch of the chowder sampler (I couldn't commit to only one variety), iced tea, and Duke's sourdough bread. This is the first time I'd been to the new Duke's, and the view is better than they had before. Kind waitstaff, restful atmosphere with no rushing. A bargain if you get what I did!

We visited Duke’s Seafood on Union Lake during our Seattle trip and were thoroughly impressed. The restaurant offers beautiful outdoor seating with views of the lake and passing seaplanes—an excellent setting to enjoy classic Pacific Northwest cuisine. To start, we had the Shrimp Mexican Corn Dip, which was creamy, cheesy, and rich, paired with a wedge of lime. It was a flavorful and unique appetizer, though we would have enjoyed a touch more spice. Next, we tried their chowder sampler, which included four varieties: Chicken Creole “N’Awlins” Chowder – spicy, flavorful, and perfect with a bit of sour cream. Lobster Mobster Chowder – rich and creamy with sweet potatoes for a lovely color and subtle sweetness. New England Clam Chowder – traditional and hearty, with a gut-warming flavor. Northwestern Seafood Chowder – a tomato-based option reminiscent of Manhattan clam chowder, filled with seafood and lighter in texture. We finished with the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which was creamy and satisfying without being overly heavy. A great dinner option. Overall, Duke’s Seafood offers great food, friendly service, and a relaxed lakeside ambiance. A fantastic dining choice for couples, families, and travelers looking to enjoy local seafood in a scenic spot.

I tried the sampler with 4 different varieties! All were amazing but the best thing was that they included a recipe for their classic Clam Chowder!!! I have yet to make it but plan to and will always visit Duke's when in Seattle!!

Had dinner there recently and spent a small fortune for two drinks, a salad and two meals. A cup of chowder that was good but not worth worth $12. My sample came with a house fish fry that had two pieces of fish wasn't much better than Denny's or Red Lobster. The other entree was the Halibut, good but close to $40. Service was good but this is a clip joint catering to tourists. Would not go back.

Walked into a very nice, clean establishment and great friendly service by our waitress. The ambiance was very nice. The drinks were good, the view was pretty. I found the menu to be "generic" and nothing really stood out as being awesome, so i went with the Exquisite Beecher's Burger, the presentation was very nice to the eyes, the hamburger [meat] not so much... it wasnt anything special. My wife ordered the salmon and it was deep fried and overcooked, almost burnt [like a square fish stick] very weird to specialize in seafood and serve panko breaded fish. The menu was very expensive. My daughters each had dishes that they said we "blah"... I probably wont make it a point to come back to this place. Ill keep searching the trip advisor community for a better place. I was definitely mislead with the ratings on this one. Dont forget to give me a thumbs up if you appreciate my honest opinion.

Second visit, first review. This time I had the salmon, shrimp and gnocchi main course and a chowder with a draft porter; all very tasty. The portion for the main course was substantial, which might justify the cost.

Within easy walking distance from our hotel, good food, good advice, decent prices. We were there for one precursor night, so it was nice to not have to venture out after a long day of travel.

We heard this restaurant had great seafood. So we choose to celebrate my Mom's birthday at this restaurant. We had to call to book a reservation for a party of six -all adults. Large parties must call, instead of using the online reservation service. We were flying in from Wisconsin and wanted everything to flow smoothly. And, that it did. We were seated immediately once everyone arrived. The service was great. The waitress was great. The atmosphere was nice. The place was very clean and the food was great. We choose lunch time to celebrate. Duke's has several locations, we chose the one at Southcenter Mall because they were open for lunch. They were accommodating and volunteered to keep the cake in the refrigerator until we were ready. Everyone liked their food. We ordered, salmon, halibut, clam chowder, a crab cake sandwich and clam chowder. Even the Ragin' cajun chicken chowder was good. There was plenty of parking. We had a fabulous time, and my Mother loved the celebration.

We tried for 5 days to be seated. They would NOT take reservations and waits were always an hour. This was not workable with two children. Upside...a short walk to the best sushi I've ever eaten. I LOVE SUSHI restaurant.... phenomenal.

I brought my husband here specifically for the lobster mobster, but I fear the recipe has changed. Still very good. People at the bar were coming from a wedding and were drunk and obnoxious, and there wasn’t much the staff could do to make them behave.

We’ve been to Duke’s Seafood in Tacoma and Bellevue. They are consistently good with food and service. The South Lake Union location has a nice outdoor deck.

Very nice place for quality seafood and fish cuisine and very tasty , we highly recommend.

Excellent lake view restaurant! Our meals were good, my daughter loved the stuffed salmon, my mixed seafood meal was good. Tasty warm bread. Decent cocktails and wine. The staff was not attentive, however, though we had reservations well in advance.

First off, the food was great. We all enjoyed our dishes, although it was pretty funny that they offer a dingy sized chowder for 5 bucks which is literally about 3 spoonfuls. Got to sit outside, covered, heated area with beautiful views. People at front were great, friendly and efficient. Our waiter, not so much. Noticed all other tables were brought bread, but didn't give/offer us any. They forgot my chowder and his reply was "they are busy back there, I can see that happening". WTF !! No apology, nothing, that was his reply. Expect a lot more than this from a restaurant like this. If I'm going to spend money like this, I'm going to Salty's or another restaurant

We got the Chowder sampler and the seared salmon, both were delicious. Located in a beautiful spot on Lake Union, outside seating available, busy place but worth the wait.

Here with a large group in the private room. Great views out the windows. Service was excellent. Never wanted for anything and not overbearing. Had the stuffed salmon and daughter had the Bourbon glazed salmon. I won on that (not to knock the bourbon glazed salmon but mine was just better). A large group of us and a lot of us got different things. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Definitely come back again when in town.

We are so glad we stayed right across the street from Duke's, it became our go to spot. 2 delicious dinners, nice staff, beautiful outside dining watching boats and planes coming and going, this made our visit to Seattle just perfect. The macadamia nut encrusted halibut in hazelnut butter cream sauce was so good our first night there, 4 days later I had to have it again, and it was equally magnificent. The chowder is great, the service very good, nice bartenders. If we had stayed 10 days instead of 5, I might have gone back twice more!

This was our favorite meal during our visit to Seattle. We sat on the patio which is covered and has heaters. It overlooks Lake Union so there are great views. We tried several of their chowders and all were delicious. I had an autumnal salad with grilled salmon. It was phenomenal! Super fresh greens and crunchy apples. The cheese that was on it was delicious as well.

This is a good Dick’s Seafood location. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant has a great view of Seattle and great atmosphere. I ordered two variations of chowder, and the mix grill combo. The mixed grill combo contained a crabcake, scallops, and shrimp. The chowders I ordered were the seafood and lobster chowders, the lobster chowder was amazing. I wasn’t very impressed with the seafood chowder. Thus far I’ve had three chowders from Duke’s, and the clam chowder and lobster chowder are phenomenal. My mixed grill entrée was good, but this is the second time I’ve tried the crabcake, and I still wasn’t very impressed. I grew up on the East Coast and have eaten crabcakes my entire life. Duke’s crabcake is advertised the best crabcake in Seattle, with very little filler. In my opinion, it’s quite breaded (has a lot of filler) and doesn’t have a lot of flavor. Overall, the food was tasty and my service was good.

Perfect last night in Seattle, had a great table on the patio with a gorgeous sunset view. The service was excellent and the food was great. Had a chowder and the crab dip for starter, which was very tasty. Waiter gave good advice on portion sizes and accompanying wine. The halibut stuffed with Dungeness crab main was excellent. Great evening !

I made a reservation while we were at the space needle and then grabbed an uber to the restaurant. When we arrived we found that I had made a mistake due to all the jumping between apps and made the reservation for the next night. The crew were completely understanding and figured out a way to squeeze us in. The chowder sampler was fantastic and the salmon was amazing. I can't say enough good things about Duke's. The only negative would be the price, this restaurant is very pricy.

We ate here for dinner one night, I had the salmon and my boyfriend had fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meals and I enjoyed my drink. The view is fantastic and really added to the experience of the meal. I witnessed a man yelling at the hostess because he wanted to sit outside (but they were all being held for reservations). After treating the hostess so rudely, I was disappointed to see that management found the man a table outside. Support your own employees over customers.

Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome.

Went for early dinner on a sunny Friday and the place was packed, long wait for table outside so settled for indoor seating. Service was good, food so so given the price. The chowder was quite good and the salad okay. The crab cake was outstanding, very tasty and juicy but the major disappointment of the evening was the fish and chips. Portion was large but the fish was way overdone - I had a hard time finishing it. Don't think we will return any time soon.

I had the Cod Fish and Chips here and it was the best I had in Seattle out of the three places I ate Fish and Chips. The Chowder on the other hand was me-too with too much Potato and not enough Clam. Service was quite nice but it is touristy in nature.

Great food and drinks! I highly suggest you try their Bloody Mary cocktail! I will definitely return when I am in the area! Came all the way from Indiana!

Onvacation in Seattle, and after the Wash U arboretum, we choose the closest seafood restaurant. This location is on the lake and the view was wonderful. The sourdough bread was a treat. The house wine was great. One problem these days seems to be that everyone is trying to make things more complicated than they should -- I eliminated the bacon from my crab salad, and it was just right. My husband had grilled shrimp with too many flavors -- good, but simpler would have been better. His new England Chowder was good, but not that recognizable (we are from Boston). A lovely afternoon regardless. Should have waited until happy hour! Took us forever to get some salt and pepper. Outside dining looked great (heat lamps and some plexiglass barriers from the wind) -- but we had a window, so no big deal.

We were fortunate to score a lunch reservation for 4 at very short notice. The signature eating experience here is the seafood -- in our party 3 of us enjoyed 3 different amazing chowders. The fourth member of our party was vegan and there was an excellent stew option for him. The interior is lovely and the staff perfect -- just wish I could have been at a table with a view.

Incredible burgers. Fish & chips (halibut), not impressive...on the dry side. Atmosphere & service was terrific.

Let's start with the good bits. It's on the lake and there's a decent view. That's it. Food is overpriced (even for Seattle), salads were a joke (tons of lettuce with a small bit of crab and shrimp on top), and poor service was the last straw. Here almost 50 minutes before we got our food. We won't be back again ever.
Casual Fun Dinner spot
We had a fun time sitting outside at sunset... Good energy very casual fast paced place. Good place for group dinner.
