What an incredible place!!

By AJJL1964 |

What an incredible place!! Their dumplings are simply out of this world! The fried ones, delicious, crsipy, tasty!! The soup dumplings also very tasty. Served warm, I had never tried them and found them delicious! Additional orders: egg drop soup, honestly the best I have had. The hot and sour soup, hot, sour and spicy as expected. My son ordered hot an sour noodles, too hot for our taste. My wife had a beef braised noodle soup, so good! Vert tender and tasty meat! A wonderful experience in an authentic restaurant owned by people from the northern part of china!! Will be back soon for more dumplings!

Great Visit

Stop what you are doing...RIGHT NOW

Head over to Dumpling King. We heard about this place from friends and found ourselves in the area today and wanting an early dinner. We called ahead to be put on the waiting list and upon arriving only stood there for about 3 minutes before being sat. Our Service was excellent the whole time. PREPARE TO EAT! Portions are large. Dumplings come in a series of 8 and they are not the small variety from a dim sum bar. No way. These are big and succulent. Won Ton soup could feed 2-3 people. Fried rice was excellent too! We ordered waaay too much food but happily have it for another meal. The bubble green tea with melon was on point. Can't wait for our return visit.

Good asian food

By William T |

Good dumpling, lots of food, and you can have it as spicy as you want. I had it with no spice (yup, I'm a wimp with a weak stomach), my associates had mild and medium. The bowl I had was good and there was way more than I could eat. My associates looked liked theirs too.

A name that says it all... Dumpling King!

On trips to Miami this is my favorite stop along the way home. Having just dropped off family at Miami airport, I headed straight for dumpling king and luckily made it just before closing. They have a good Chinese menu. I love Asian food, having spent much time throughout Southeast Asia and northern Asia. This place is authentic, and well known in the South Florida Asian community. I had dinner earlier or else I would have had the Spicy Beef Dip which has veggies, glass noodles, tofu and beef chunks in a spicy (as spicy as you like it) broth. The broth is herbal if you know what I mean. Not typical Chinese restaurant food. These are distinctly Chinese aerobatic herbs. Simply delicious. This time I had just dumplings. First their specialty Shanghai dumplings. They are steamed little bags with spiced meat inside. The surprise is the tasty broth inside. I pick them up and place them on a spoon peaking a hole in the side draining it into the spoon. This way you don’t scorch your mouth with hot broth. Then I dip the dumpling in black vinegar and enjoy. I follow it with the spoon full of broth. Yummy! See the photos. Next I had pork fried dumplings. These are crescent shaped plump dumplings with spiced pork inside. Again I like to dip these in black vinegar and enjoy. Very tasty. I started eating with the black vinegar while in Shanghai. Though many eat soy sauce, for me it takes away from the food overpowering with its flavor and too much salt. Good Chinese food is well balanced already. A little of the black vinegar is a brightener with a unique flavor that enhances the sensory experience. I highly recommend Dumpling King. It is just east of I-95 where the turnpike meets I-95. It is kind of behind Burger King. It is super clean and he service is good. No bear or wine but an exceptional selection of bubble tea. During peak lunch and dinner it can be packed so you may have a wait. They are closed one day a week, I think Tuesday so call first but definitely go. I have included photos for you. I hope this is helpful.

Has left me craving more! Dumpling IS king here

By Bellatako |

Full disclosure - we got carry out and only tried the fried pork dumpling and the soup dumpling which we were not sure would stay as good if we waited to eat them after the drive home. But despite being tepid they were both absolutely delicious! Having had some of the best soup dumplings in New York City Chinatown, these did not disappoint and I can only imagine they would be even better hot out of the pot. The pork dumplings were even better than the soup dumplings - and arguably some of the best I've ever had. I don't live in Miami but this tease of a taste has made me sorry I don't live in Miami to come back!

Tasty Dumplings and Great Price

By Nathan T |

Came back from San Francisco recently and was craving dumplings which are not a Miami specialty. Looking online, I found a few places in the Miami area with decent dumpling offerings but all of the guides pointed to Dumpling King. Although it is a little bit north of where we are, we decided to give it a try and brought along a native Singaporean to help us judge! The place is in a small strip mall next to a Subway and Chinese grocery. We arrived right at opening (11:00 Sunday) and it was not busy but while we there it became packed; a good sign! We ordered the Shanghai soup dumplings, chives pork/shrimp fried dumplings, and the cold noodles with sesame sauce. The dumplings were delicious and huge! I highly recommend the soup dumplings which took me back to Chinatown in San Fran. The pricing was very reasonable for the amount of food we got. It is not a fancy decorated place but it is great for a good dumpling meal that won't break the budget. They also offer a wide selection of bubble tea which my two companions ordered and enjoyed. Overall good experience and will definitely return.

Busy busy busy... why?

By WhatBucketList |

This place is a little while in the wall and busy. Strictly on food I don’t get it but price and ease I guess it can fly. Food - 3 They offer authentic Chinese food with shortcuts. Instead of stewing, brewing and slow cooking, shortcuts are taken with using artificial spices. Beef noodle soup, instead of taking the slow cooking approach with natural herbs they use 5 spice powder for the flavors. All tastes are close to authentic but lazy. Service - 3 Nothing special here. Will get better served if you speak Mandarin Chinese. Atmosphere - 3 Just a dirty hole in the wall. Don’t expect white tablecloth dining then you won’t be disappointed with wobbly tables and plastic sofa seats. Only if I’m hungry, craving Chinese food and within a 3 block radius. If those stars don’t align, no.

Authentic.

By GeorgeJames2000 |

Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. Authentic menu (as long as you stay clear from the lunch menu specials) and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and such a range of dishes: Fried or steamed Dumplings to sesame chicken to the truly delicious onion cake. This list formed my exact order, and it was delicious.

Best authentic Chinese food!!!

By ladyetheredge |

We are in town for a wedding and our airbnb host suggested this restaurant. Everything from the fried dumpling to huge seafood dip bowl was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Prices was super cheap for the amount of food given. Rating below should be excellent unable to select higher.

Best Chinese food I had in Florida

By JSC65 |

I have been living in China for quite some time and I loved food there, but after coming back home I realized that it is almost impossible to find real Chinese food. This restaurant is an exception. Steamed buns were gorgeous, juicy and meaty, they tasted 100% authentic. I also tried a spicy noodle soup with beef and another one with braised pork and oh my God! I wish I could go there every day. The best Chinese food I had since coming back home. Also, sizes of the portions are huge and for $9 you get a gigantic bowl of freshly cooked food. This place is a must for those who traveled or lived in China!

Love it

Well worth it!!!

I went to that restaurant on August 18 for lunch with my family. Everything was wonderful. The place was packed with mostly Chinese customers. That was a good sign for me. The food was perfect. We had their soup, dumplings and also steamed veggies with mushrooms in a brown soy sauce. All was amazing, the price was right and the staff was very friendly. Next time I am in that area I will go back. It was an unexpected amazing experience

Delicious

By Wendysdd |

We went there on a Saturday for lunch before a football match at the Hard Rock Stadium. Everything we ordered was delicious, even something as simple as Fried Rice. The different noodle dishes were outstanding. We had the Green Onion Pancake. This is a Must Have. It's that good. We had the Shanghai Dumplings, that was equally tasty. If you're in that area, you must stop by for a meal. You won't be disappointed.

The best xai loong bao in town (soup dumplings)

By Alex080856 |

The Shanghai soup dumplings are found in some dim sum restaurants. They are dumplings filled usually with pork and soup. Here they are their specialty. Because the soup inside the dumplings is very hot, you bite off a little bit of the dough on top to allow the steam escape. Then you dip it into vinegar and ginger. My wife and I get this every time we are here. The other dish we selected this time was a spicy seafood soup with cellophane noodles AKA in Tagalog as Pancit Sotanghon. Service was typical of these type of Asian restaurants. The place is in a small strip mall where PK Oriental Mart is. The Shanghai soup dumplings are found in some dim sum restaurants. had A good experience

By Lisado976 |

I came here because of all the positive reviews. I had the soup dumplings with pork and crab and they were good; however, the stir fried noodle was very bland and the noodles were too soft for my liking. The onion pancake was deep fried instead of baking, thus it is a bit oily. The service was great. They were very attentive and the food came out quickly. Overall, a good experience.

OMG!! Soup Dumplings are amazing!

So I recently went to NY and ended with a new craving....soup dumplings. When I returned home to West Palm Beach I really wanted some. So I googled, trip advised and Yelped until I found a likely candidate. The soup dumplings were on par with NYC and everything else I had there was amazing. I will be making this 1 hour and 20 minute trip frequently.

Bring me more...

Whether you’re a fan of soup dumplings or boba tea or Chinese chicken wings, you’ll find joy here. Don’t pass up on Dumpling King and dive into what should be officially deemed the Miami-area’s Chinatown.

Authentic Northern Chinese Food

By Heguang Z |

Their specialty is Northern Chinese food. Very basic setting with tasty dumplings at very reasonable price.

Very bad bubble tea

By Evee C |

Will never get bubble tea again in this place, ordered a taro bubble tea to go but it’s tasteless, color looks like a very pale purple and cost $4.50 but was charge $5.50 for a slushy slightly colored , watered with no flavor of taro at all, waste of my $$! Put 1 star rating but deserve zero ⭐️

Did someone say Bubble Tea

By Danica B |

I love dumplings and any chance I get to enjoy dumplings I’m there. This isn’t a big place but well worth the visit. The food is quite delicious but must I say their Bubble Tea is out of this world amazing! Holy Batman I wish I didn’t live so far so I could get this tea everyday! I had the lychee with milk yuuuuuummmm!!! Will most definitely stop by anytime I’m in the area for more dumplings and tea!

Unexpectedly wonderful dumplings in suburban Miami

By melano |

Great place to satisfy your craving for dumplings, or just a serious hunger of any kind. Portions are generous, quality is high, place is busy - deservedly so! Worth a drive. And do check out the Asian market next door so you can create some yummy dishes at home.

Never got service

By Sophie C |

We waited a while to be seated at a table which was fine, we were okay with a crowded restaurant- that was a good sign on the food. But once we were seated we were never acknowledged again, not for drinks, menus, to order. Several of the people who were seated with more people around the time we were were already enjoying their dumplings. After 30 minutes of it being clear that nobody even wanted to acknowledge that we’d been waiting we got up to leave. We were really disappointed because we were so looking forward to authentic dumplings.

BEST DUMPLINGS IN TOWN

By Moises A |

A friend of mine introduced me to this location a few years ago and I finally went and gave it a try yesterday and was amazed with the dumplings. The service was not to great as the server forgot my waters, never came back to check on us and spent her time talking to 3 other servers in a corner. If not for service it would have been 5 circles. But overall the food was great and served fresh to order. The Boba Teas where also wonderful especially passion fruit. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent dumplings and very affordable

By Franck D |

I just had a terrible experience in an expensive Chinese restaurant in Brickell and it showed me how great is this little place. Excellent food, quick service. Not very friendly and definitely not upscale. But excellent food, authentic and great. The Shanghai style dumplings are amazing and exactly like the ones I had in Shanghai.

Wow

By Mitchell L |

This place is truly a find I am blown away by the flavors the texture and presentation. this can be compared to the din Thai dung Hong Kong and loved every minute of it, I wish they had more dishes with just seafood, other than that menu is inexpensive yet fulfilling.

Had a good experience

By Leidy G |

First time visiting Dumpling King and I will totally be returning. The food was amazing, big portions and full of flavor. The place is small about 10 tables I would say, service needs some work but I am assuming the difference in culture had a lot to do with it. As long as you have patience and time on your hands the experience should be good. Prices are reasonable for the servings given. Overall I give them a 4 out of 5

Soup dumplings to die for !! Finally in Miami

By OlgaM714 |

I used to go every Sunday to our favorite spot in New York Joe Shanghai for the most wonderful soup dumplings . Finally we found this little spot that may be underrated but their dumplings are super delicious . I have become addicted to this little place . Service is fast and attentive . Casual and simple but amazing food . Also I'm fascinated by their bubble teas , Great varieties of flavors and very refreshing . If you want to eat really good dumplings ? This is the place ..

Simply the Best.

By Robert H |

It is a Chinese Kitchen, so do not expect ambience. What you can expect is probably one of the best wonton soups in the United States. I only had its equal in China. Many Asians eat here so that should clue you in. By all means go for the Shanghai soup dumplings and the pan fried beef dumplings. Their food is less greasy that most...all in all a delicious experience.

GET IN YOUR CAR RIGHT NOW!!!!

Some of the best Chinese food I've eaten in years. Honestly. No exaggeration. Swear! And the soup dumplings are out of this world. We even tasted the general Tsao chicken (yes, my friend is one of those) and I'm now hooked. I love Chinese food and ate it 2-3 times per week when I lived in NYC an I can think of only two restaurant with tastier food. Yes, its in a strip mall. SO WHAT?????

Loved It

Stopped at this dive restaurant on our way to the Keys. Was very impressed. Fried dumplings were incredible. So was the hot and sour soup. Also enjoyed the spring rolls. Would definitely go back. High quality food for good price.

Delicious Dumplings

By Barbara M |

After reading an article in the news paper, we decided to take a little road trip to try it out. We were not disappointed at all! We had soup, steamed pork and scallion dumplings and green onion bread......all delicious and fresh. Going back again for sure!

Cheap, delicious and filling comfort food!

By MERCY C |

I love this place for their cheap, delicious and filling comfort food! My favorite is their soup dumplings! The service could use a bit of help though. There have been times when I've had to track down the waiter just for a cup of water -- granted the place can get busy at times. The bubble teas are really good too - they have a wide variety but I haven't been able to try them all. The place is decent, not large in size but comfortable and they have free parking.

Legendary Dumplings in SoFla

By Ron S |

We ordered soup dumplings and fried rice. Both were excellent and prepared to perfection. I have been there before and tried other kinds of dumplings (fried and sautéed) that were not as good as the soup variety which are the featured item. It is very authentic and located in a non descript strip center (use GPS). But very worthwhile as they are the best anywhere around here.

Hidden Gem

Hidden gem that has some great food.... have been coming here for about 3 months and only thing I don't like is the coffee creamer they use in there bubble teas

Good Chinese good, a relief

By Annette F |

I've been reading that there is a lack of good Chinese food in Miami. In general, I agree wholeheartedly. I'd eaten here a while ago with my husband and was not crazy about it, but I decided to stop for lunch while in the neighborhood. Most diners had the specials - I would not characterize them as good. I chose the seafood udon - not really Chinese, but it was huge with piping hot soup, loads of noodled and a fair amount of protein. My neighbors were enjoying the soup dumplings and had a beautiful dish of bok choy and mushrooms - it was just too big for me alone - though I admired it. Well, out of the blue, a dish of bok choy and mushrooms appeared on my table, offered by my neighbors - how very nice, thank you! I had few delicious bites and will enjoy the rest at home. This was good Chinese food. And when you're finished pop into PK Oriental for an amazingly wide range of Asian foodstuffs. Can't resist the dirt cheap shallots.

Best dim sum in Miami

By Yaroslaw_Kerget |

This is a small restaurant on a small plaza but has a great tasty dim sums, one of the best I have ever tried in my life. My favorites are: Shanghai Style soup dumplings and crab & pork soup dumplings with a tasty soup inside. Fried chicken noodles is not fried at its lunch oks more sautéed.

Would def go again!

Amazing soup dumplings. I would love a chicken/beef only option but I’m aware that isn’t the traditional way. Either way super delicious
