Bruch Rocks!

By Al_Doyle_Seattle |

Easy Street Records is a West Seattle icon and institution. It is one of the remaining few true record/cd shops with the added pull of a full-scale eatery. This visit was four of us for breakfast! Freat choices, excellent service, and quality food got our day off to a strong start.

Small but fun

By Tiffany L |

We accidentally went on a Saturday morning during a special record day, so it was absolutely packed with people. The wait time for a table (there aren't a whole lot) was about 30 minutes, so we went and looked at cds and records while we waited, all while listening to some fantastic music. Once we got seated it was pretty routine. The menu is fun with lots of music references and the prices weren't breaking the bank. The portions were the best; both my friend and I ate everything on our plates and we were perfectly full. Definitely a fun place for breakfast, though maybe not on a Saturday morning if you're really hungry!

the best jerry the best

this place is fantastic a relic in Seattle. sip coffee while hunting for records. the food is cheap and pretty good. It was our favorite place to eat on our trip.

One of the best record stores on the West Coast

By Anthony H |

I'm a bit biased but I have been coming here for the last 30 years. In their history Easystreet has evolved from a small record store up the street to a cornerstone of the Alaska Junction. The credibility of the owner to bring in top name talent and to have a wide variety of music. The staff is helpful and enthusiastic about music. They will special order things for you and make sure that you find what you're looking for. The café itself is a great place to have breakfast with friends. Its fun menu is the perfect start to shopping for Records.

Good Brunch in a Cool Record Store

By Matty Easton |

Easy Street is first and foremost a record store, with a cute (and somewhat kitschy) brunch spot attached. They don’t take reservations, but our group of five only waited 10 or 15 minutes on Saturday afternoon for a table, giving us enough time to peruse the massive record selection and learn a bit more about the vibrant music scene in Seattle. The food here is solid and filled us up well before an afternoon of sightseeing. The Horton Heat Hash was flavorful (it says spicy, but as someone who only enjoys spicy food occasionally I still found it really palatable and not overwhelming at all). The BLT sandwich was a bit smaller than expected and the fries looked better than they tasted — they leaned more soggy than crispy. One of the highlights was how the cafe leans into the camp of being a record store — each dish is either a pun or homage to a music icon, from the “Dolly Parton Stack” of pancakes to the “Bennie and the Jets” eggs Benedict. The staff was nice, albeit a bit young — it felt like they were local high schoolers/young college students working a weekend job. It honestly added to the charm, though don’t expect overly attentive service at this neighborhood joint.

Best basis breakfast

By adeledupre |

Little Richard breakfast Two eggs any style hash browns with three strips of bacon that can be substituted for vegetarian options which not a lot of restaurants do with four choices of bread. Good coffee at a bargain price and home made.A real treat to yourself!

Great store, but horrific experience with server

By Amanda T |

Amazing record store! Unfortunately, the waitress with the straight red dyed striped hair was incredibly rude. I’d avoid the restaurant unless you want to be treated like complete dirt. I’ve never felt so degraded by a server in my life.

Great for brunch and tunes

By ELBSeattle |

Easygoing brunchy food with a very casual feel. Great atmosphere, good prices.

Best breakfast spot in Seattle.

By Erin H |

This little hidden gem is a pain to get into, and you usually have to wait for at least 30 mins but the food is awesome, the bacon is oddly the best I've ever had and I've never had anything I didn't love. Excellent drip coffee as well. This place is so popular, expect to be a little crammed in but well worth the struggle. I bring my out of town guests here and they all ask me to bring them back!

Servers are great! Retail employees can be MISERABLE!

By Brian J |

Wow. I was up visiting family from LA. I lived in the northwest for 20 years. The people that work on the restaurant side are always friendly. On the retail side? There was a friendly gentleman that took me to the soundtrack section. While up stairs I found several selections? I wanted to listen to some of the used ones to make sure there were no skips/scratches. I asked the the gentleman working behind the counter (short, skinny dark hair, angry) He said I need to leave my ID to get a needle. I couldn't hear him the first time because he was so soft spoken. When I asked him to repeat himself? He yelled it. I ignored it and went to listen to my selections. When I went to return the needle and my ID? He had disappeared. There was a (blondish) bartender up stairs. I approached her to ask her about returning the needle and getting my ID. Before I could even get the words out she barked back...If it has to do with music? I cannot help you. She kept talking and I just turned and walked away. I went downstairs and a guy with beautiful eyes was very helpful and got my ID. When I went to pay a gentlemen with a brownish blonde beard and frizzy hair was so rude. Absolutely no how can I help you? Just the infamous blank stare. Once my purchase was finished he took my receipt and threw it on the counter. I was so co fused as to why he was behaving in this manner. Another typical angry, white male working in a record store. Clearly bitter and jaded because he had to work brunch on July 4. Just be prepared and don't expect much from some of employees. The ones that a friendly are wonderful. However, the rude and cranky ones are on another level of being miserable .

Gosh, these folks are nice!

By Dick B |

Great place for breakfast for all pallets. It's funky appearance and adjoining record store are one of a kind.

Pretty cool place to eat and shop

By ErTrSe |

Stopped in for breakfast while in Seattle. Food was good and affordable. The cafe is attached to the record store. The record store had old and new vinyls and CDs along with rock t-shirts.

Don't let the music stuff scare you.

By deborahrutter |

Honestly...one of the best breakfast spots in town. Their selection ranges from savory to sweet, and the number of veggie/fake-meat options is awesome. Easy Street, for those of us that remember West Seattle when it was not a destination, just a neighborhood, hasn't changed. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the attitude is just as cool.

Easy Street Cafe

By christopherswaby |

we went specifically to see if the burgers were as good as advertised. we were not disappointed. the sandwich was good, juicy, well seasoned, good bun. the fries were average but didnt detract from the meal. the location is kinda funky - hipster cool. the service was only ok but that may have been because it was especially busy when we visited. while we waited for a table, we wandered through the record store - it has a very nice selection of music (though only rock was being played over the loud system - some other genres would have been nice). i imagine we will go back at some point.

Good & Unique

By BarbUA |

Appreciated the veggie meat alternatives! Quick service. Huge selection of CD's. Eat 1st, then shop.

What an odd place, cafe and record shop.

By JOBfromAK |

Friday morning and the place was packed but the staff got us seated quickly. The omelets were very good but the hash brown were disappointing, just like Denny's! Wait staff would not let my coffee cup go dry and the coffee was good. Bowers in the record store after eating, it was a good experience. Very West Seattle!!

Experience more than good food!

By Taylor459 |

Easy Street Records & Café is a community gathering place where the food is fun and tasty at a great value! Sometimes a wait, but worth it!

Breakfast and vinyl in West Seattle

By abundantlee |

We like to try something different when we're traveling and this was fun. We've never easten at a record store before. We had really good biscuit, eggs and gravy and breakfast burrito. It's not very big but we hit it just right on a Saturday morning and got right in. All the tables were full while we were there though so there may be a wait at times.

Great music store

By Rehsinup19 |

We enjoyed browsing here. There is a great eclectic selection of vinyl available upstairs that was cool to search through. There is a great selection here of music in several different formats.

Eccletic decor and large portions

By Tracey R |

Not very big but worth the wait. If you have to wait you can browse the record shop. The portions are big and the food delicious. There were a lot of breakfast choices to please everyone. We had a total of 10 people and our bill was under $100.00!!! The hash was a pleaser in our group and had some kick behind it.

Great quick breakfast

By melbournemrs |

Had a great quick breakfast here today. Big variety in the breakfast menu so it was hard to choose. Great decor with the old record shop posters and painted signs. Definitely worth a visit if in the area

Classic American Breakfast - With a Heaping Helping of Music on the Side

By williamegray |

This great little record store is also a great little cafe. On one side of the well lighted space is a record shop and on the other is the cafe. The table area is ample and there's a few seats at the coffee bar (on old time classic fixed stools). Service is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. And you really can't beat the atmosphere. I went there for breakfast around 10:00am on a Friday and it filled up to capacity while I was there. All the breakfast entrees have quaint names, like the Woodie Guthrie Farmer's Omelet, the Hank Williams Western Omelet, and the Dolly Parton Stack. Funny names are cool but it's the food that matters, right? I was by myself and sat at the counter flanked by other singleton patrons and backed up to the record store side with its bins and bins of new and used CDs. It's a great ambience in which to have breakfast, followed by a little music browsing. I ordered the Suzi Q which is a classic American breakfast of 3 eggs, hash browns, 4 thick slices of bacon, and toast. At just over $6 it was a massive amount of food for the money. My over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection. The bacon, while a bit on the greasy side, tasted excellent and the thick cut gave it a meaty bite. The hash browns covered half the plate and were perfectly done. I got the sourdough toast but other breads were also on offer. All in all, it was the quintessential American breakfast and I would order it again. They offer smaller breakfasts and sides, too, so if you're not a big eater, you can order a lighter meal. I love West Seattle and try to make the trip up from PortIand as often I can. I won't miss eating at Easy Street every time I come. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in the area. It deserves every star I gave it.

Cool vibe and cheap eats

By emholly |

Small cafe in a very cool record store. Food was good and very reasonably priced. Good selection. Crowded and pretty noisy but that's part of the charm.

Music and Food

By Zzyxx |

This is the spot for CD's and vinyl and DVD's. Food is good but restaurant side is infested with hipsters. Get a henna or fake tattoo before you eat there. Service is good on the music side unless someone has a hipster fit of incoherence and total non-service which can happen. Chalk it up to amusement though. Its still a good place to shop.

Did not disappoint!

By Carly S |

Amazing selection of records , and extremely helpful staff made our stop at Easy Street a delight . Being a huge Pearl Jam fan , this was a bucket list MUST!! You can get lost in here for ages. We did not get a chance to go to the cafe as it was closed by the time we arrived .

Really really cool

By 154lu |

Came here for brunch--the brunch menu was very cheap and a lot of food. Came here around 8 am and it was not crowded at all. The menu items all had fun names. I had french toast. The vibe with music posters and records all around is very cool, service was very nice and they had unlimited refills on coffee. My favorite eating out experience in all of Seattle!!

Great coffee stop!

By misopiso88 |

Was strolling around West Seattle on a Sunday and stopped in to get some coffee to go. Great ambiance and menu! Was packed so folks were waiting to get tables. I will need to go back to try the food but the coffee was excellent!

Get down with the James Browns

By soundlyread |

Love the vibe & food here. Yes, the waits are long on weekends but worth it. No wait today as mid-week. My extra-hot latte was just as ordered; black coffee later to top it off was tasty. First time trying the James Browns--a plate full of goodness! Hash browns covered with grilled onions, mushrooms, and other veggies plus choice of one meat or protein substitute. Plenty of my choice (bacon) mixed in with veggies. Toast accompanies the JBs but who has room for it? My friend's French toast was given a thumbs-up. Try seats at the counter or at a couple tables on the sidewalk.

Excellent diversion from the norm

By Senioronabudget |

The food was excellent. I had the steak and cheese sandwich. The bun was excellent as was the prepreation. My wife had the breakfast burrito. She was not able to eat it all, not because of the quality, but rather the quantity. Daughter had the James Brown. Next time, that is what I want to try. Because the front of the cafe was open to the street, there was some street noise, but not enough to distract. The question below is this a mexican restaurant. I would have to say maybe. A number of their menu items were of a tex mex nature.

It was fun and hit the spot!

By reiserclan |

We went here for Father's Day to have brunch. We had a bit of a wait (1 hour) but we spent most of it looking at the Farmer's Market right down the street, so it wasn't too bad. Our food was typical brunch fare with fun rock n' roll names and good ambiance as we ate. The only suggestion is that they seemed to be short-staffed and couldn't move the tables very rapidly--they needed a dedicated busser. We each had some combination of eggs, toast, hash browns, and bacon. Their orange juice was delicious and freshly squeezed!

Last few hours in Seattle

By GamberettoRosso |

We spent our last hours here in Seattle before going to the Airport. It was Sunday and we were not sure it would be open. Great place for everyone love music...For us great Pearl Jam fans it was fantastic because there was a special corner dedicated to PJ and we found a lot of special gifts. Love this place, every city in the world shoul have a similar one!!! Keep on rocking easy street records ;)

Bad Service

By Will Nunes |

EXTREMELY Rude Host and Server. There are absolutely no signage saying if you have to wait to be seated or pick a table. After waiting 10 minutes and having nobody talking with me I found a table and I seated myself. I had the server getting my order and right after that I had the host yelling across tables that I didn't put my name on the list to be seated. Awful and really awkward experience!!! I left the place feeling like I did something wrong when in fact the lack of staff and professionalism from the host and server made my first time experience at this place end up as one of the weirdest service situation in my life. Not going back anytime soon. Will also let friends know about the terrible quality of service offered by this place.

Easy breakfast

By lrmcscott |

We love this place for its basic menu, no frills environment and local hangout. Our kiddos love it and the hashbrowns are hard to beat.

Great food and vibe

By Stacy Strickland |

Love a place that serves breakfast past 11am. This cafe has a fun vibe, especially since you can see into the record store. Service was great, with a focus on cleaning tables and counters between customers. Food is similar to a diner, yet cooked to order and with less grease. I had eggs over easy with veggie sausage patties and french toast. He had a spicy hash with eggs and toast. Both were cooked well, with nice flavor. I recommend revisiting how butter is served. Between the two of us, we were given four individually wrapped pats of butter and used one. The three we didn't use were apparently tossed based on the way or take was cleared. This is a huge cost to the restaurant and it's not good for our planet to waste resources. Giving one butter pat, putting them in a separate bowl or offering them upon request are all options that could reduce waste by half.

Funky! In a good way!

By Fernweh16 |

I've been to Easy Street on two of my Seattle excursions. Located in the Junction Neighborhood of West Seattle, this "note"worthy cafe, is definitely a place worth visiting. From the warehouse style walls (complete with street signs and ladders) the cafe boasts a funky mish mash of tables and chairs and modern art of Pop (and Punk) Icons on the walls. You may need to wait a bit for a seat, but you can browse the THOUSANDS of CD's, DVD's, Vinyl and other music related paraphernalia to tick the time away. When your table is ready, you will most likely be greeted by a hip, cool, sing song waitress who will take your order. Speaking of which the menu is made of current and past music stars. I had the thin Lizzy on this trip. An absolutely delightful breakfast burrito for the lighter appetite and the time before I had the Dolly Parton Stack (Giggle). There are times where seating can be European style so be prepared to get social if that is the case. Overall, Amaaaazing!

Eternally Cool and Justifiably Famous

By Conrad Wesselhoeft |

I drop in about five times a year for the good coffee and laid-back ambiance. You can't beat it--echoes of Kerouac, Patti Smith, Nirvana, even Tony Bennett. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water for an Easy Rider (grilled breakfast sandwich on an English muffin stuffed with two scrambled eggs) or Frances Farmer French Toast (two thick slices of egg bread dipped in vanilla and cinnamon batter and cooked on the grill.) The servers are ever ready with the coffee. Big HELL, YES to all of it.

Now, you are on Easy Street

By Gary H |

It's just a place you should go to, when in Seattle. Yes, it is in West Seattle, which means crossing the bridge, but you will give thanks. You may want to buy me a drink for making this suggestion...to actually go. If you are visiting Seattle, you can grab the C Rapid Bus from downtown right to The Junction...where Easy Street lives. Like...c'mon over and you'll be happy, happy. It has the cd's, DVD's, vinyl collectables and a very grubby, worn down eatery that is a great place to sit and watch and eat. You have to line-up for seating and sit close to others and the tables look like they are in need of repair...and it all so very wonderful. Sometimes they have a live band....I mean, really, this place is so worthy of a visit. I got a great used Sting cd for 3 bux.

great independent record store

By Hairup |

This is a great little independent record store. Go on Sunday, there's a farmer's market out front on California Ave..

Coolest place to eat breakfast in West Seattle

By Shannon C |

I love this place - it is in a used record store - what's not to like?? They play great music and you can browse CDs and records while you wait for you table. The wait can be kinda long, but that is kind of expected at prime breakfast time on the weekends in Seattle. The breakfast food is really good - greasy spoon, diner type of breakfast. My only real complaint about this place is that the service is always really slow and really inattentive. I feel bad saying that, because the servers are always very nice and friendly - they just never come back to your table to see if you need anything once you drop off your food. Sometimes they never even bring a refill of coffee - I could probably overlook everything else, but that is the thing that really keeps me from going back. I finish my first cup of coffee before the food shows up and never get another one the entire time I am there. And you can wait a looooong time for your check. If you don't mind the slow/inattentive service, this is a great breakfast spot - cool atmosphere and good food.

So-So Experience

By Kastor88 |

Service was pretty bad, waitress was unsociable, and very monotonous when she did speak. Food was ok, but was expecting much better from the reviews. I'm from the midwest and it felt just...lazy. Biscuits were almost dry, gravy was bland and hashbrowns were pretty flavorless.

After you taste the food, you won't believe the low prices

By joan s |

West Seattle institution. Breakfasts options are varied and delicious, and it is so inexpensive. Don't know how they do it. It is a noisy place, with tables close together--but somehow that is not a negative here. Service is friendly, low key--sometimes a little slow getting the check, but if you are in a hurry just ask to get your check when they bring your food. Spend time in the fabulous record store the cafe is attached to.

Review of Record Store, NOT Cafe...

By Jim T |

This funky CD store, with a cafe attached, located on Seattle's West Side, is not Seattle's largest or hippest, but does feature an above average selection of new & used CDs and some of the lowest prices for used CDs I have seen any where. Boxed sets and DVDs abound, vinyl too. The staff knew their stuff and were helpful. Worth a special trip if you are into treasure hunting--you never know what you'll find. And as always, support your Indie record stores!

Great breakfast

By sanjuanisland |

I stop in every once in awhile for breakfast. Great breakfast for the price. Can't beat that. And coffee is cheap. By some, it has some of the best coffee in Seattle. It is a holler in the wall, but it's hard to find a good breakfast for the price.

Surprisingly good breakfast spot

By JeffN549 |

On the weekends, this is a hotspot for late breakfast and with good reason. They have multiple breakfast burrito options along with many other breakfast plates all aptly named after famous musicians. Try a good strong coffee or fancy latte or ask for a mimosa! This place is small and has limited seating and is very popular after 9:30 am on the weekends. Oh... and they are a record store with a great variety of music. Anything from Top 40, to the obscure local artist can be found. They also have tons of used cd's for sale and also buy your used cd's so bring 'em in make some money and have some breakfast!

Good food and love the CD/Record shop

By Tigereg |

Had breakfast here which was very good. Food is your typical breakfast foods (Eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc...) The place is attached to an vintage CD/Records store which was pretty cool to walk through while we waited.

Into the grunge..

By LellaSS |

My friend took me to this amazing place in West Seattle for breakfast during my stay in Seattle. Knowing I was a Pearl Jam addict, she took me there and I wasn't disappointed. Good choice both if you want to literally dive into the grunge music culture and for food. Breakfast was really good and the servings mass. Also amazing collection of vinyls and records and posters!! For music and food lovers alike

West Seattle must visit

By Brett L |

Great food, breakfest omelets fantastic. Down to earth, cool funky atmosphere, with record store, t-shirts, and friendly help.

So excited! Then SO disappointed!

By Danigirl |

So excited to return to this amazing cafe… but then absolutely disappointed after being blatantly ignored by the only server in the place! He told me to sit anywhere. Since I was alone, I chose the only small table, which was still dirty (not cool, I know, but I hated taking a big table all by myself. This must’ve been a bad choice because then I waited forever for him to acknowledge my presence, take my order, ANYTHING! He came over and was sober faced and said NOTHING to me, even after I asked him a question. I’m a nice, polite woman, in no way meant to do something wrong, but the bad attitude and bad service was too much for me. I quietly left before before placing an order. Unfortunate that I didn’t get to stay and enjoy the great food and awesome atmosphere due to this server making it very clear that if I stayed, the experience wasn’t going to be what I’d anticipated when I walked in.

Funky with Food

By John M |

Grand daughter took us. One side of building is cds, most by groups we had never heard of. They had "vinyl" upstairs. Even sold turntables. We waited 15 minutes or so for a table. After ordering, we waited another 15. We ordered breakfasts: Suzy Que, Dolly Parton and Little Richard. The food was hardy, tasty and plentiful. Our coffee cups were kept full. The diners were Seattle Folk, dark clothes, beards, pale. Overall, it was fun and we were pleased to have been invited.

Cool Vibes

By globetrottergrub |

If you have ever seen a movie with a record store in it this is it. They have rows and rows of great vinyl and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They also have live music from local bands on the weekends that are free to wander into. They also have a coffee shop to grab a bite while you look around.

OMG

By JaymieOK |

If only I had all the money and a shipping container to get all the music home! What a fantastic shop! So many musical memories.

Excellent cheap brunch!

By tetsuo-san |

If you are in West Seattle's Junction any morning, this is a great place to eat. Lots of veggie options and they're happy to add meat to any of those dishes if you want. I'm a big fan of the Woody Guthrie or the ES Breakfast Burritos. Espresso is delish and the tun age is tops... It's also a record store. How can you beat al that.

List to the Man at the Counter

By Nathan Box |

Easy Street Records isn’t the biggest record store in the world. They won’t have every title you are searching for as you dig through crates and shuffle through albums. Yet, what they lack in size, they more than redeem in charm and character. Without a doubt, this little store on California is the thing I miss most about living in West Seattle. As we eat breakfast, album covers from the room over beckoned me. On my visit, I was drawn toward some new releases placed front and center that I just had to have. On more occasions than I can count, I have found myself lost upstairs with stacks of vinyl at my side. Soon, this place will be my sanctuary again.

A fine brunch with my kids.

By techman4itall |

Met up with my son and daughter and they said this was the place to eat at. Well worth the 30 minute wait! All the food was fresh and prepared very well. My omelet was awesome and the coffee was strong and rich and smooth to the taste. My daughter had the club sandwich and it was well filled and filled her up, My son's burrito was one he had many times before and it was just what he wanted and fit the bill to a T. Next time I am in the area I will be back.

West Seattle treasure, old-time down-home cafe & coffee bar served with the music

By terese |

Perfect for perusing music, taking in the occasional tiny concert, enjoying breakfast or lunch - and newly - a drink in the tiny upstairs bar, and on beautiful days they roll up the garage-style window/wall to enjoy people watching on the adjacent sidewalk. Some staff have been there for ages, this has been a West Seattle treasure for many years. Our favorite: drop in for some shared midday fries and champagne.

Do it once.

By RackmasterNY |

Went for lunch on a weekday and it was a "sit anywhere" experience. Service was slow but they did keep to coffee topped up (which was more than I expected) and it is cool to have food in a record shop. It has a very Seattle feel and I would bring others back to do it once.

Very Cool! Worth The Trip.

By Ash |

Quite inspiring to see a "traditional" record store still thriving. West Seattle is definitely a cooler place having Easy Street Records in it. Recommend the trip over the bridge to check it out and grab some eats in the cafe whilst here. I had the Philadelphia Freedom Sandwhich (Philly Cheesesteak) which did the job!!

Dress down breakfast in west Seattle

By Marty L |

Easy street records and cafe at the junction of California and Alaska in west Seattle offers a low key, family friendly spot for breakfast or brunch. Many of the offerings carry a music themed moniker and the food comes out fresh, hot and delicious..from staples like pancakes or French toast to imaginative scrambles ..this place always delivers. Whenever I visit family in west Seattle I always have at least one breakfast here. The coffee is good, the service is efficient and friendly..and on weekends..expect a wait for a table..you can leave your name and browse the vast record collection. Nothing fancy but a good solid breakfast to get your day started.

Everyone’s favorite record store

By qwuirk |

What a cool vinyl shop! There’s so much positive energy here, and they often hold signing events with artists. They have a nice, well-organized selection of new and old vinyls with reasonable prices. I was able to score some vintage vinyls last time I visited. The upstairs section with rock and pop albums is my favorite. Will return to try their cafe next time.

Surprisingly Good Brealfast!

By Kregg J. |

Easy Street Records & Café is a funky little corner record shop and eatery in the West Seattle Junction. It is where Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam performed a small concert and a place that locals support. Nothing fancy about the place but you'll find some surprisingly decent food. I'd recommend breakfast with some great bacon. It's rock n' roll with rolls!

Great neighborhood place to grab ....

By SeattleD_7 |

Great little neighborhood place to grab breakfast, brunch, lunch.... Friendly staff, good coffee, great breakfast. The burritos are my favorite for breakfast. Vegan friend found something yummy as well to enjoy. Very casual, great atmosphere, popular on weekends.

What a Value!

By Barbi0216 |

The best value for breakfast in West Seattle. Lots of local flavor, good selection, and best prices. The servers were a little slow, but pleasant enough. I would return if given the opportunity.

Cool place to visit just bc of Pearl Jam

By ILLV |

My friend, the tour guide, took me all over Seattle. We stopped in here. My brother, a musician, would have been in heaven. All vinyl upstairs. Where Pearl Jam started out. Apparently has a great breakfast for a hangover as well in the cafe part.

Get the Johnny Cash!

By ScottD58 |

This is fast becoming my go to breakfast place! Everything is cooked to order and just the way you like it. Bottomless Cafe Vita coffee and the Johnny Cash Steak and eggs is #1 with a bullet! Keep in mind it’s always busy but you can browse the record store while you wait for your table. I miss the old Easy Street Records when it was in Kirkland but this cafe more than makes up for it!

Great record store lousy restaurant

By UnagiUnagi |

The record shop is really fantastic with loads of selection and a really fun vibe but the food is crazy bad, not even good for diner food. We had breakfast here on day after finding an amazing amount of great music and we though we should try it out. The service was indifferent and the food was so bad that we each took a few bites to be polite but we just had to give it up because we couldn't force ourselves to eat it and yes it was really that bad. If you are in West Seattle and want a funky vibe and great diner food, you should go to Luna Park Cafe. Other people seem to like it but we have a hard time believing it.

Funky/Cool Place for coffee

By Alec D |

I was at the West Seattle Summer Fest and needed to get some coffee. A friend suggested Easy Street Records & Cafe. Good coffee and good service.

Try something different in West Seattle

By Alec D |

Easy Street Records & Cafe is not your typical place in Seattle for breakfast. The food and service are both good. You can check out the vinyl before or after you eat.

Basic and filling!

By rhonda |

Great neighborhood place to gather for breakfast, coffee, and music. Service is always good. And so is the music and food!

Neat atmosphere and good food

By m j |

A must see in West Seattle. The food is good and the wait-staff is pleasant. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Good food, CHEAP, very busy

By WorldD_TRaveler789 |

What to say.....this a very small cafe attached to a music store. The food was surprisingly very good for a dive cafe. The seating is awkward and very small, but it seems extremely popular. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table that barely fit three people. The service was so-so. The waitress was extremely friendly, but she did not check on us often and waiting for the bill was quite painful. When bringing the food, she had the plate rested against her shirt so that the food touched her shirt. Not very appetizing. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant for the ambiance or the service. If you're hungover and want decent cheap food and you're willing to wait, then this is the place for you. Maybe you can check out the overpriced cd's / dvd's in the music store while you wait. I'm going to stay home and make pancakes.

So Good, So Cool, So Groovy

First of all, the servers are worth their weight in gold. You rock ladies. The coffee is great, the atmosphere is, of course, second to none if you're into rock 'n roll. And, to top it off, the food is actually pretty freakin fantastic. They know exactly how to do pancakes and bacon---old school diner style. My husband had the Nuevos Rancheros and loved it. Huge bang for your buck here as well. Unbeatable.

Great place for breakfast or brunch - great selection of food, service friendly and surroundings second-to-none! Really good value too, particularly vs other places in Seattle.

Good, standard breakfast and good service

By From Boise, To |

Had the french toast, bacon and eggs. Good all around. The bacon may be too salty for some. Hot tea via a standard tea bag. They had honey for our tea. Waitress was nice and efficient. Answered our questions and kept track of us during our meal. Music was a bit loud but we could hold a conversation. It is part record store, after all. Two breakfasts and tea, with tax was $19.00. That's before tip. Try it out! It's a good breakfast.

Funky West Seattle restaurant and record store!

This is always a fun place to go--good food, funky Seattle atmosphere and good, accommodating wait staff. Can't go wrong here!

Over Easy

We used to love Easy Street. Its inspiring music selection, fun atmosphere, and delicious brunch made it a highlight of every visit to Seattle. We have enjoyed countless meals here, and purchased numerous records and CDs. However, it's been over three years since our last visit and things have changed. Somehow, the usually long wait to get food has become even longer, even very early in the morning – and that's now two waits: one for the table, and an even longer one to get the food. While the menu seems to have grown, the portions have really shrunk, and the food itself seems to be bland and unexciting. Similarly, the vinyl section has grown, but the diversity of available records has shrunk. For both food and music, prices have gone up noticeably, at least in comparison to similar restaurants and stores. It's just not worth racing back here again. It might not even warrant a visit on our next trip. On a positive note, the staff are still upbeat and friendly, the coffee is still delicious, and there are still a few choice records to be found.

Historic record shop ...

By METRUN360 |

We had some time to burn on our last morning in Seattle and we were located at The Grove in West Seattle ... so we decided to head down to Easy Street ... The record collection is nice and we ended up buying several cheap, still very playeable used CDs and packing them for the trip back. I liked the eclectic decor as well. The breakfasts being served in the café looked nice and the coffee we had was pretty good. Highly recommended for a breakfast if you are in West Seattle ... if not to try something a little different!

A must visit when in Seattle

By Indah Edlightz |

Amazing place. So much music, so much history and the coffee is pretty good as well. This music store has everything, discs, records, cassettes, tshirts, posters, all kinds of memorabilia and a restaurant/cafe. You can easily spend 2-3 hrs here if you are a music fan and longer if you want to go through all the records upstairs. I spent $200 without moving an inch and was glad to do so. This place is a must visit if you are in Seattle or just if you are a fan of music. love this place.

More than Music

By Sightsee362080 |

From the food to the service to the record selection it was a great experience. The food was great, I had the French toast and it was great. My cousin had the James Brown and we all kept sampling her plate. Great portion sizes and the mimosas I would highly recommend (they give you more than you would expect in the best way!). The record selection was also a great after meal experience and we ended up buying a few. Service is always important and our server was wonderful, attentive, friendly, and helpful with suggestions. Try it out when you get a chance.

Our favorite place for breakfast. The wait can be long but the music, especially vinyl, selection is fantastic. Staff is very helpful with music and watching the street traffic is exciting especially Sunday during farmers market.

Very cool place

By Josh R |

Very cool place, especially if you are into vinyl. I read somewhere that is among the top 10 record stores in the country, I’m not sure by what metric that is being measured, but I can totally see it! The ambiance and vibe were really great! We also ate at the cafe. The service was fast and super friendly. I wish I would’ve eaten one of the breakfast items as they looked wonderful but I wanted to drink a beer and didn’t think it would pair well with breakfast food. I ended up getting the tacos, they were fine but nothing to write home about. If I ever make it to Seattle again I will definitely go with a breakfast selection. I really enjoyed my time here and would love to go back someday.

Instant favorite

My daughter has been wanting to visit here since she found out it’s Brandi Carlisle’s favorite record store. We came for breakfast Saturday morning and the place was packed. If it’s your first visit, there is a clip board where the diner and the store meet inside. Put your name and number in your party. There may or may not be an employee there to point it out. We headed straight upstairs to the vinyl while waiting for a table. Such a great selection of music! Our table was ready in about 20 minutes and it flew by while we shopped. They call you for your table over a mic which you can clearly hear anywhere in the store. Service was solid and the food was great. The place has a great vibe. If you haven’t been here, what are you waiting for?

Must visit as a Gen Xer

Incredible history. Incredible breakfast. So much cool stuff. My teen boys loved it. The atmosphere makes it an experience.

Food and service fell short of expectations.

By Rob M |

I watched a recent segment on Man vs. Food in which this place was featured and since we were spending Christmas in West Seattle with our daughters family I thought that this place would be a good place to go for breakfast. The place was pretty busy when we arrived so we waited about 20 to 30 minutes for a table. This wasn’t a big issue as the main attraction was the record store which was fun to explore while waiting. Upon finally getting seated and ordering our beverages the server never brought my wifes coffee. My wife eventually got her coffee after getting our servers attention and rerequesting it. The food order took over 30 minutes to be delivered once ordered and though very over cooked had cold spots in it. I had the Los Lobos, chorizo scramble, in which the eggs were cooked into crumbs. I also requested salsa for my dish which was never delivered. Additionally, the pancakes ordered at the table were over cooked to the point that they were difficult to cut through. The hash browns were the bright spot. Under different circumstances the meals should have been returned to be remade but we had a long drive home ahead of us. Maybe we picked th wrong time to try this place as it was the day after Christmas and possibly the main staff was still enjoying their holiday. This visit didn’t give us a reason to return.

DELICIOUS AND FRESH

By adeledupre |

It is a great and affordable place for breakfast with vegetarian option such as veggie sausage patties as well as corn or flour tortillas. The staff makes a point to greet and if you are a regular basis you get big hugs too.

A wonderful meal and record shop

Had breakfast there with an awesome breakfast. Loved the bacon! I then shopped for some vinyl. Found some great deals on cds as well.

Pure audio heaven

By khmz1213 |

For Christmas shopping, I had to get some difficult to find vinyl. Easy Street had them when other record stores did not. So awesome to browse their huge selection. Helpful staff helped me find a couple of the albums. Love the vibe and love the music. Sorry I didn’t make it for breakfast at the cafe this time. This is THE record store in Seattle.

Amazing selection

By Rehsinup19 |

I enjoy coming here whenever we are in West Seattle. There is a huge selection of vinyl to fit all tastes here, both new and used. This is a fun store to browse.

Worst experience ever!

By dluisa |

After waiting 20 minutes the hostess seated us, never welcomed us, and went to stand by the door doing nothing but acting disinterested while two other hard-working servers ran around serving. We waited 10 more minutes and no one even offered coffee or told us we will be right with you. Fortunately we left before ordering. Dont go there. It was a waste of time!

This is one crazy place, reminds me of Austin!

I went to breakfast with a group of girls - one lives in the neighborhood of Easy Street and so she took us there. Upon entering I wasn't sure what was going on - it appered to be a record store. But two steps up and we were in the cafe, which I loved. It feels like the cafe in a movie - it has a LOT of character. From the rock and roll posters everywhere, to the cool booth seating, to the waitresses who look like they just woke up from a long night of rock and roll (but who were super friendly and helpful - excellent service!) it was just a lot of fun. All of the items on the menu have punny-names - I had the Dolly Parton (2 pancakes - you get the idea) and there are so many choices it's hard to decide. The food is great, the atmosphere casual and fun. I highly recommend it if you are open to going outside of "chain" restaurants and enjoy that character in a restaurant that's not always easy to find these days.

The funkiest breakfast I've ever had (and I mean that in a good way)

By Robin D |

Eating breakfast at the counter of a record store might not seem like a great dining experience, but my husband and I had a blast. Good music playing, imaginative menu for a very reasonable price and friendly, interesting fellow diners. I'd definitely recommend Easy Street to those who are open to a slightly different dining experience!

Awesome record store with new and vintage albums

My teenage daughter loves music stores so our friends suggested this place. It was great because I could have a nice lunch while she shopped the store. They have so much to see of new and old artist. It was one of her favorite stops while in Seattle.

Nice place for breakfast or coffee

Easy Street Records is a good alternative to your typical place for breakfast or coffee. You get food and a nice music store as well. If you haven't been what are you waiting for.

Breakfast, coffee and a Mike Oldfield record I didn’t already own

By whiskers51 |

Our son and daughter in law lived for about a year directly opposite this record store/cafe and took us along when we recently visited them. Trying to find a table for 4 meant we would be faced with a 30/40 minute wait so we opted to sit at the bar. An excellent choice of breakfast meals finished off with a browse through certain sections of their used vinyl collection had me leaving the cafe with a full stomach and a US pressing of Mike Oldfield’s Airborne, a double Vinyl released as a single vinyl in the UK under the title Platinum. Not a rare record but one to add to my Oldfield collection! A very interesting place for breakfast, people watching and browsing old vinyl.

Yummy, cheap eats

By Bgeel01 |

This restaurant was a great cheap-eats find. We went on a Saturday morning for brunch and had about a 40 minute wait, but it was worth it (we spent that time browsing the CDs and DVDs in the adjoining store). They don't skimp on the portion sizes and for two people we filled-up on less than $20!

Best breakfast in Wedt Seattle

Always busy but worth the wait. Very good selection of unusual dishes besides the more expected breakfast fare.

Great Record Store

By Bill H |

Growing up in the age of the record store, it was a blast from the past to spend time in an authentic record store full of character and great music. If you are enjoying the return of vinyl - well worth the trip out to West Seattle. Sits in neighborhood with great little shops and coffee shops, enjoyed it.

Funky, great breakfast, cool waitstaff, eclectic music, fair prices, great street view

By todrodman |

Attached to a music store wihich plays rad music whle you eat, busy, mrrt your friends, see the locals, good, but basic selection of dishes Try the corned beef hash or the Francis Farmer with real maple syrup and thick cut bacon. Get there early for breakfast (7am) or you might have to wait for seat. Waitstaff have super and quite unconventional. In the center of West Seattle' Alaska Junction, with good bus service for West Seattle-ites and worth the quick trip over on the BRT "C" line from the city. Lots of neat local shops close by, and there is big Farmers Market every Sunday AM.

Classic diner food with a twist

By 167lillet |

Open for breakfast and lunch, this kitschy spot serves consistent diner fare at fair prices. Love their "Horton Hash" spicy and $1 coffee. The retail portion of the property has fun music memorabilia and goods for sale that are fun to pursue before of afterwards.

Best Indie Record Store in Seattle

By dmurin |

The food and coffee are good too. Pick up some new tunes and have a bite to eat. Occasional free shows are a bonus. : )

Pretty good food, great vibe

By Louise W |

We had breakfast during a recent visit. It was crazy busy, and we had to wait for a table. The food was pretty good, some interesting combinations of breakfast ingredients. The service was uneven. We waited a long while for a coffee refill, for example. The real star of the show is the record store. There's quite a selection of vinyl, as well as tees, etc. Wall art will keep you busy while you wait

Great vibe!

By Laura_Kayaks |

Because I live in West Seattle I frequently go to Easy Street. I own vinyl and come here to see what's out, old and new. I love that they have free live music on a lot of Friday evenings. The food is good. Just understand that sometimes you're going to wait for a table. The great thing is you get to browse through an amazing, iconic music store while you wait! They call you over the speakers when your table is ready. Or you could go wait in line at some place else that offers nothing.
