Pretty neat bar—good beer selection and ping pong tables out back. Ended up going here a few times over a week in Austin.

We were enticed by the on site bakery to pop in for some hungover Sunday brunch. The food, and bread in particular, was excellent. The avocado toast, although small, was delicious. A bit disappointed with many of the baked goods not being available at 11 am (croissants, banana bread, pain au chocolat, etc.), and the inside restaurant area was a bit dark with the distinct aroma of stale beer. Go for the food, or pop by the bakery section upstairs for take-out.

Sandwiches and serving meats by the quarter pound like at a TX BBQ place but with German meats and housemade gourmet sausages. I had to try the Corned Beef and the cucumber and tomato salad, which made we want to return again. I also tried the potato salad and the chicken sausage which were equally as good. What made me want to return again on a Weds were the $5 happy hour whiskey cocktails. The Harris Tweed was perfect. And they are served in a short glass but a tall one which makes it a great value. I am returning in a couple weeks to get some bread upstairs at the bakery to take home.

Outstanding selection of crafts brews--what more do you want? :). Actually the food is pretty good--the pretzel and the sausages are must -try.

Me and my girlfriend visited Easy Tiger at around 11pm on a weeknight. We ordered a sandwich each. Upon waiting around 20 minutes my girlfriend's sandwich arrived. After another 20 minutes we enquired about my sandwich. This confused the waitress, who had completely forgotten about my order. She asked several questions regarding the sandwich (what I wanted with it...), so she clearly had heard my order and just forgotten. Another 20 minutes passed with no communication from the waitress before my sandwich arrived (total wait time of over an hour) for a simple sandwich). The bar was almost empty whilst we were there, meaning the waitress only had one order to remember, making such a mix up even more puzzling. Both sandwiches were terrible, although the beers were OK. Everywhere else we ate in Austin provided significantly better food and service. Numerous great options are just a short walk away, including the excellent Arlo's food truck and Koriente restaurant. Also, although the beers were fine and they had a relatively wide selection, I preferred the majority of beers I tried on E 6th and up at the Austin Draught House.

We went here to have a few beers during our last day in Austin. The atmosphere was super fun and we ended up staying for 3 hours. There is a patio with ping pong tables and it was packed on a Saturday afternoon. They also have a great selection of beer and have great snacks to nibble on.

Yummy in my tummy! The WholeFoods that this satellite location connects to didn’t have the best looking food. Thus, I gave this place a try. Very good. I ordered the turkey sandwich - half will do. The cucumber tomato salad is SPECTACULAR. It is a small joint so don’t expect quick service. Super good for a lunch!

Rude and arrogant bartenders. Only bad experience we had while visiting Austin. Much better bars on 6th

Visited for lunch on a Friday- seating was available outside in the sun or under a tented area with heaters. The area under the tent is okay but not nearly as nice as outside but there's not many tables outside. My pear based Moscow mule was good. The sausage sandwich was good. My turkey breast sandwich was just okay. Service was good when we were there.

This place has wonderful German food. Several items are good for sharing. Also features local and German beer. Nice atmosphere. Excellent wait staff. Located in a lively section of music and bars, this place stands out because of the excellent quality of its food.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn near the convention center and we liked it so much, we visited three times in five days. Its a unique place with homemade bread, sausages, cheese plates. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and fun cocktails. I cannot say enough about our experience here. We had the Croque Madame for breakfast, the spicy jalapeno sausage and cheese in the afternoon, a few pastries and a few other things, all good. I am not of a beer drinker so I drank mostly yummy cocktails. They let us try a few samples and I found a dark beer that was amazing. It's also obvious that the employees are a team, always helping each other and getting along. I wish this place was in my neighborhood, I would go once a week.

A flight attendant recommended this and she was not wrong. The pretzel and beer cheese was so good. And it was huge, so plan to share it. My only complaint is the liberal use of green onion in the salad and no way to pick it out.

Nothing better than a quick lunch in a German Beer garden. There is inside seating, but I highly recommend the outdoor seating in the back. Common tables make for fun conversation with your table-mates. My wife and I went during the busy lunch period. Prompt and friendly service, good food and drink (A reuben to die for!). Was also given some good advise by the wait staff as to other tings to do in town. the happy hour specials looked great, but we were unable to return this trip. We will certainly get back there eventually!

Quaint street entrance has a neat bakery offerings, downstairs has full bar and kitchen. We had Garlic Sausage, Hot Dog & Venison Cheddar Hot Link with sides of potatoe salad and Cucumber & Tomato. Everything was flavorful with unique tastes. Great beer and signature cocktails. Out/In door seating. Nice breezy terrace overlooking the river. Ping pong games are encouraged! Staff friendly and prompt.

Today I went for a breakfast sandwich and it lacked flavor but not grease. The bacon was undercooked bread soggy with oil, I ended up giving to homeless. The crossiant was great but small and all over priced. Sorry this was really disappointing.

Very noisy but fun. Decent food (not the best German food). It is really a Texas type of German food...Millaniel crowd but spirited.

Food and beer, good. Beer cheese, yummy! Service, pretty bad. We sat at an outside table for over 10 minutes and no server even acknowledged our presence. Did the same thing to some guys who came and sat at the table next to us, they left for inside like we ended up doing. Oh servers walked by but always managed to avoid eye contact. It was around 10pm, steady but in no way crazy busy. We moved inside and the service was better, till today when my credit flagged the fact that we paid a $6 tip on a $18 bill. We tend to be 20% tippers but 30%??? We also write out the tip amounts very very clearly. If it was amazing service then sure. Stupid me I didn't keep our receipt. Lesson learned. When you tip here, tip in cash!

We went to the Easy Tiger as part of our tour of Austin restaurants and pubs. The Easy Tiger has an excellent selection of baked goods, but if you arrive late they may be sold out of your choice. My wife got a small pretzel with beer cheese and I got a stout. Downstairs is an outdoor area with games and indoor downstairs there are two separate table areas. The bathroom was clean and neat.

Dropped by two days in a row with business colleagues for lunch. Love the outdoor seating, but the Indoor seating is a little dank. Had different types of sausage and sides on each day. Sides are refreshing and help keep it light. Definitely get the pretzel bun as it is not only tasty but can handle the juice from the sausage and not fall apart (unlike the weak fluffy buns at Bangers).

Highly recommend this place! The beer selection is amazing and the food is wonderful. Highly recommend the smoke salmon! Our server Annie was one of the best. A must visit when in Austin!!

They have a very nice lunch special daily. I love their pretzel's with spicy mustard and a beer. Coffee and several options for breakfast too. Love pingpong? The have got it!

We visited the Linc location on the north side of Austin. First day was a coffee/bakery run. The mint cold brew was hit and the pastries were tasty. We came back for dinner and a drink that night. There is plenty of seating in and out on picnic benches. The staff was friendly and the food above average. Lots of beer on tap as well. We had so much fun that we came back another night. The wait staff clearly enjoyed their jobs and the manager stopped by to visit as well. It felt like a great neighborhood hang out and so nice not to be surrounded by a hundred TVs.

We love the atmosphere of this place. I enjoy the great selection of brews and it’s a great place to hang with friends. It can get a bit noisy at times. As long as they don’t run out we always get a pretzel!

Great atmosphere inside or out overlooking canal. 30+ craft beers on tap and foods good also. Highly recommend kielbasa. Smoked and cooked in bacon fat. Tender, moist, tasty with little zip. Best I every had. Great place with locals feel

Cool place serving up some very fresh pastries and a good range of beer to choose from. Had a delicious Sausage and Pretzel. Enjoyed the outdoor games, great place to go on a Saturday afternoon with friends.

Amazing bread!!! This is where my wife and I go every time we want to make fancy sandwiches at home and we need the best bakery in Austin. Their sourdough for a grilled cheese is the perfect lunch. The coffee here is always a nice cup.

On my way down to Austin I was researching places to eat because what makes a trip for me is all the yummy foods I can find in a new city. I came upon this place in a review and since it wasn't far from my place I decided to investigate. What's great about this place -- I call it the Jekyll & Hyde. By day it's a bakery where anyone can buy fresh baked breads, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, coffees and whatnot. By night when you go down it's step inside the bakery it takes you outside to a beer garden that sits along the river that goes through the city and comes a live for entertainment, great beer and food, think sausages/pretzels. I came here for breakfast on my first day in Austin and I was not disappointed! I highly recommend getting the iced Cajeta latte -- Mexican caramel latte AMAZING! Pair that with the avocado toast that comes with watercress, grape tomatoes and watermelon radishes. I recommend to add to that dish a soft boiled egg and a side of their jalapeno aioli -- GREAT COMBINATION. I sat on a bar stool next to a couple who was visiting from San Antonio and they saw what I had and immediately went back up to the girl and asked for the same. This place is great both during the day and night!

Great place for beer, drinks and food. Make sure to go on a sunny day or warm evening because the outdoors are beautiful.

Great atmosphere, indoors or out! Loved the vibe downstairs for dinner and outdoor area was great as well. Had the turkey Boudin Blanc and it was fantastic!! My husband had the classic brat and enjoyed it as well. The pretzel buns are a nice twist!

Seating here is first come first served (seat yourself) if you come when it's crowded it can be a bit hectic. The menu selection has breads, open face sandwiches, salads and desserts (pastry). It's definitely a more healthy theme. Portions are adequate (European style), if you are lumberjack hungry and into a greasy spoon, this will not be your place. The pastrami sandwich was fabulous! Service was very friendly, quick and attentive.

Staying next door at the Hilton Garden Inn. and I mean right next door to this little pub, we were outside when the rains started coming... so we ran in there to get out of the rain and undercover. They have a tented area outside that had a private party, it's own bar and a ping pong table. When it's not raining, there two more ping pong tables outside and some picnic benches and everyone takes enjoyment/advantage of being in the fresh air outside along the river. And if you go inside, they have a great happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30 that includes their sausages and pretzels and not quite as many drinks as one might like but a good enough selection. Service was very good.. those guys put up with a lot of stuff and they were wonderful. It's a good place to go take a stop and a little adult refreshment.

I went here prior to retiring to my adjacent hotel for the evening, and was very glad I did! Easy tiger has some great outdoor seating options, but I went inside (and downstairs) to the bar area. In short, this place definitely has a "dive bar" feel to it; however, what a fantastic beer selection on tap, and very knowledgeable staff behind the bar! On top of that, they have a selection of baked goods available and a limited menu. My timing was perfect to order a very fresh, large baked pretzel with beer cheese! Overall, I liked this place, and hope to return.

Steak was good but for $12 you would think you would also get bread with the steak it. Sweet potato’s were sliced and cooked so they were just ok imo. Too pricey for what you get here but this restaurant is located on 6 th Street so that’s probably the reason why the prices are what they are !

Great service, great ambiance makes it perfect for casual lunch. We ordered the herbed Lamb & Cajun chicken sausages on Pretzel buns with potato salad, cucumber & tomato salad as add-ons. Both the sausages were excellent. The Cajun chicken is served with Red Bell Pepper topped with Creole cream cheese chow chow Relish which was better than the port cherry mustard that the herbed lamb came with. Both the sides were refreshingly good. Since I am not a big fan of the pretzel bun, I plan on skipping it the next time around. The sausage with an add-on would make for an excellent meal by itself. We also tried a ginger beer & lemonade to wash down our meal. Ginger beer was okay, lemonade was super-fresh. All in all a lovely meal for a great value. Highly recommended.

Great food, craft beers, expansive casual outdoor seating. We stopped for lunch and I loved my pastrami sandwich and potato salad side. My wife enjoyed her lamb sausage on a pretzel bun. Everything is made from scratch at the restaurant, so I'm not kidding; the food is really good. I guarantee you'll find a beer that meets your fancy, because the offerings are endless.

Great place with fresh baked goods, pastries, and somewhat elevated pub grub. Nice selection of craft beers and relatively generic cocktail list. Happy hour gives you some beers for $3 and a few bucks off sausages/pretzels/cheese plate. Would recommend.

I am a San Francisco bread snob. The Pain Levain bread blew me away. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. I only wish I'd seen the pretzels before we were walking away.

On a recent night out in the city, I was walking past Easy Tiger and read the sign that said fresh pretzels. This led me inside and I am so happy I went in. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I have never been to a beer garden before and was given direction on what the best IPA that had was. The bartender was very personable and did not mind that I asked a few questions, which I find to be a rare trait. I usually hate drinking IPAs, but the one he recommended was amazing. My pretzel came out very quickly and was wonderful. I did not realize that Easy Tiger is also a bakery, which helps explain why the pretzel was so fantastic. My only recommendation is that there be more menus at the bar as I had a few different people ask to borrow mine as they did not have any where they were sitting. I felt at ease inside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Though the restaurant is in a basement it did not feel claustrophobic in the slightest. While inside I saw that there was a Halloween tour being given and I thought that it was cool that the bar allowed a tour group inside as I think some restaurants would make a fuss about such things. I did not end up going to the outside beer garden, but definitely will when I return. I now have a new favorite bar and restaurant in Austin which makes me incredibly happy.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend, ordered a bratwurst and pretzel with the Pearl Snap Ale. All the food was fantastic and authentic. The room felt exactly like a German style beer hall and environment was busy and fun (all tables were full at first). The server gave great recommendations on food and overwhelming beer list. Overall, if I ever get back to Austin this will be on my list.

This place is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious! All of the staff were so nice! I recommend the pretzel with the beer cheese. Will definitely be coming back!

What a find! It was really close to the Hilton where we were staying. We arrived during happy hour on a weeknight and the place was pumping. Inside was pretty packed and noisy so we opted to sit outside. Great happy hour from 4.30-6.30pm that offered some discounted beers, cocktails and food. Tried some great local beers, had my first Shandy (made with Sierra Nevada - bonus) and had a really tasty vege sausage with pretzel bun. There was maybe a lil bit too much sauce on the sausage. Such a picturesque setting, lots of interesting things to try, friendly staff and lots of locals having a good time. Would gladly go back in a flash!

My husband and I decided to stop by here one day for lunch after hearing great reviews from friends. It was a great time because it wasn't crowded and we were able to sit down right away. Our waitress was great and attentive and the food was awesome! The knackwurst reminded us of our trip to Düsseldorf and we will definitely be back to try some of their other brats. The pretzel and mustard were very tasty as well. Your best to park under the bridge at 35 or find an empty meter on sixth. The restaurant has large outdoor patio with seating and also a small tavern like indoor area that's located downstairs from the to go bakery. Can't wait to go back!

Great place to stop in for drinks with friends. Good food too. We were there for lunch nut stayed through dinner!! Good times - friendly staff.

Very cool set up with the indoor downstairs bar & dining room. There is an outside area for ding or just socializing. There are ping pong tables outside as well. Great selection of local & national micro-brews on tap. The muffaletta was a little dry, too much bread, not enough sauce. The pastrami was very good. Bartenders were very friendly & helpful with trying different beers.

Great atmosphere and would love to go back for happy hour and try the pretzel and cheese. Breakfast was good service friendly and informative. Nice patio deck, secluded and shaded

Easy Tiger is a cool beer garden on lower 6th Street in Austin. We were in town for my son’s graduation and stopped by for a late afternoon refresher. They have a great happy hour: $3 drinks and selected munchies. Go for the sausage. It’s a steal. The pretzels and cheese or the sampler are a good choice as well. Austin is HOT. The Shandy was nice and refreshing.

I ordered the Italian beef sandwich and it came with coffee. Both were excellent! My waitress was very friendly and the vibes were chill. I will definitely return with friends on a weekend and take advantage of the beer garden. Location was very convenient to my hotel and downtown bars. Highly recommend!

We sat outside and it was very nice. The staff was very attentive. The only issue I had was we tried to order a few things off the menu and they were out of 2 items. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience.

Large work group dropped in for a quick bite. Bunch of apps and sandwiches. The tray with pretzel and pimento cheese was excellent but the homemade jerky was a little to smoky and very tough. The chicken thighs were really good and the rest of the group all enjoyed the various sausages from the menu

Nice venue with cute outside area with night lights. Wide variety of artisanal beers and amazing beef sirloin plate. Quite casual overall. Recommend!

My husband and I came to this restaurant and were glad there weren’t many people in there during that time of day, because we were taking a tour and only had a limited time to eat a quick bite. We ordered relatively quickly but thought we were going to have to leave before we even got our food. It finally came and we gulped down part of it and then asked for a check hastily. Could’ve been a lot better if service had been better. Everyone in there seemed to be having a good time, including the staff. They just should have been paying a little more attention to the customers I think.

Best of both worlds. Beneath what looks like, and seems to be, a French bakery is a lovely spot with a great German menu. The garlic sausage was very good! The potato salad, spot on. The staff was casual and attentive. Really, what more could you want?

This was a great place, a bit unusual but that is what made it inviting. Very friendly servers, excellent choice of beer and I love the food choices. The prices were VERY reasonable. We could not bare the hotel restaurant any more and found this place around the corner. When you walk in you see the bakery and smell of fresh bread cooking, and downstairs is the restaurant, I cannot say how must I enjoy this evening.

This resturant is beside the Hilton Garden Hotel. It was convenient and the service was good. There is a nice selection of beer, snacks and food.

I arrived in Austin mid-afternoon, so ran over to the Easy Tiger for a late lunch after checking in at the Hilton Garden. It's an interesting spot, and I would have liked to go back for a beer in the courtyard by the stream. It looked nice. Unfortunately, my initial experience was not great. Since I was alone, I sat at the bar and asked for a menu. The bartender wasn't particularly friendly, and it wasn't a welcoming experience. Fortunately, I saw a friend come in and I moved to a table with her. Much better. The waiter was nice.. and food and beer were very good. I would definitely go back. I just wouldn't sit at the bar.

We each had a different sandwich and had interesting choices for sides. The food was delicious. Our Waiter realized we were in a hurry in order to catch the Duck tour. Our food was served quickly and we got our receipt in plenty of time to make our tour.

Austin has no shortage of great spots to eat & drink, but the outdoor area at Easy Tiger might be my new #1. The bartender outside was so friendly and fun. The beer selection was amazing and our food was top-notch. I had the half of a roast beef with the sour cream horseradish sauce on sourdough, and we split the giant pretzel. The pretzel was crisp and flavorful and DO NOT skip the beer cheese. So good!

I visited Easy Tiger after flying into Austin and it was a great place for a few tasty beers and a snack! I shared the German Board and potato chips with some colleagues and we all left full and happy. Service was excellent as well

The meats on the sandwich were outstanding! We had the italian beef and pastrami. There is a good beer selection but most are national brands; would have preferred some more regional options. Thats just the beer snob in me. Atmosphere was great and staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice people great service lovely location over the stream and fine selection of deers if you go to Austin make sure you visit Easy Tiger

Great place for a beer and pub food or coffee and a pastry. It’s got outdoor seating but the indoor pub on the ground floor was warm and cozy on a rainy cold night. Even though it feels like a bar, my husband and I were able to share a beer (without leaving our teenager in the hotel) since it’s a restaurant. Our son enjoyed a coffee and pastry while we tried some craft beer. Maybe not great for young children, but a teenager would feel comfortable here. Great atmosphere!

Dropped by on a Thursday night. It was pretty hot outside so the beer garden was mostly empty and everyone was inside. Had sausages and beer. Really tasty. People next to me at the bar sampled a lot of different foods and it all looked and smelled great. Great service.

We stayed at an Air BnB nearby and walked to get pastries and coffee every morning (5 total) The service is great, the pastries delicious and the coffee and chia yummy! We also stopped for beer and drinks and some ping pong one sunny afternoon. Lovely place!

Easy Tiger serves some of the best beer garden/pub food anywhere. Hands down. And for an excellent price. The beer and liquor selection is as superb as you could want. Two of us had sausages with their incredible red cabbage slaw. Fabulous bratwurst and knackwurst. One of us had an amazing pastrami sandwich with some of the best smoked pastrami ever. And my wife had a cheese plate with several very interesting, unusual cheeses. Not just the usual suspects. The covered patio down the stairs and in the back is a fun and friendly space without some of the "bro" silliness that goes on in some of Austin's other beer gardens. Good place to hang.

I ate here for the first time this past weekend and had a good experience. I came in for lunch and had the house made bratwurst, which was very good, for just $9. I was very hungry, so I also got the special of the day - the house made meatball sandwich with provolone on an awesome roll made fresh upstairs in their bakery. Again, very good, for just about $10. The service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, and the food came out in a timeline manner. I came back later that evening for a drink. Their craft beer menu is solid. They also have a fantastic outside patio that sits atop of the Red River, and they have tons of outdoor seating, as well as several ping pong tables. I'm only sorry I didn't come in hungry for happy hour, as they offered all their good sausages for just $5. Sounds like a steal.

We stopped here late one afternoon for lunch after it was recommended by our hotel. We really enjoyed the food and the beer selection was great. The outdoor seating area was cute and our server was friendly. It was one of our favorite lunches in Austin.

Cute little spot with a beer garden. Good quick bite type food and a decent beer list. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

The reviews of Easy Tiger don’t lie. The corned beef is prepared on-premises, and the sandwiches are served on homemade rye bread. A truly great combination. The staff is great and super-friendly. At the east end of 6th St in Austin, and inquestionably worth the trip. Highly recommended.

Very good bratwurst with home made beer cheese and very good potato salad. Pretzels taste like in Germany. This is extremely difficult to find in the US. The merguez wurst tasted like in France. A little bit hot and spicy made with lamb. All sausages are made here. Nice outdoor patio. Good service and great selection of beers

Really enjoyed our lunch at Easy Tiger. The venison cheddar hot link and it was perfect. Wife had a chocolate croissant from bakery upstairs and enjoyed it. The loaf of bread we took to go was focaccia and was excellent.

We popped in to have a quick beer and snack. The pretzels and beer cheese dip was good but I’d pass on the jerky. It was way too salty and over-seasoned. The happy hour prices were good for beer and cocktails. The outdoor seating was nice on a warm day to sit outside with friends and listen to music. This is a dog friendly establishment too!

... and avoid the beer garden. While the pretzel and baguette were delicious, the sausage was sub-par. The Sauerkraut was nothing like it should be and the mustard was plain weird. Having been in Bavaria, I know what things should taste like. However, the potato salad was divine. What was most irksome, however, is me asking for unsalted butter and being told that they do not have any. Wait a second... they bake with salty butter. I call BS... Not going back.

Stopped at the Easy Tiger @7pm on a Sunday evening. Sat at a picnic table in the covered area outside. Service was quick. Enjoyed a giant pretzel and beer cheese. The beer was cold. There were ping pong tables to enjoy also.

This place was recommended by a local tour guide. Not only was there a fun, outdoor atmosphere, the food and local beer were amazing!

We stopped in the Cedar Park branch of this chain and found it unique. It is basically an independent beer garden, sandwich and coffee shop conveniently located in a Whole Foods 365. Th beers appear to be mostly local on tap varieties and the sandwiches are mostly German in nature. We'll vivit again next time we are that way.

We were a party of 8. There were a lot of different orders but the highlight of the evening was a grilled cheese on sour dough bread. It may be one of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere outside was wonderful and everyone seemed to enjoy their time.

Good bar downstairs, good menu with a selection. I was in a hurry so I was pointed to sandwich, the service was great and super fast. I was there maybe 20 minutes which was just what I needed. Prices for top shelf whiskey and a sandwich were hard to beat. Would have liked to have tried the bakery upstairs.

We were here briefly to meet-up w/ some friends. The place has a lived-in vibe. Not sure I would return to sample their fare.

Very tasty smoked turkey sandwich on wonderful bread for lunch. The "half" at $8 was plenty enough for me. Delicious coffee and I wish I had room for some of the lovely-looking in-house pastries. Good service.

Recommended by a friend we strolled over the Easy Tiger on our last day in Austin. Wish we had gone sooner so we could have returned. Food is excellent! Sat outside on the patio in the back. My friend had the pastrami and saurkraut sandwich, which declared is the best she ever had. The smoke all the meats in house as they do the salmon. I had the smoked salmon sandwich on 9 grain bread and it too was outstanding. They are known for their pretzels and served many when we were there. We ended up getting one to go and a container of their homemade chex mix! Yummm. Great waiter, outstanding service.

We visited Easy Tiger on a Saturday morning and it was starting to get busy for brunch. There is a bake shop up stairs and table service downstairs and on the outdoor patio. Probably one of our favorite places we visited while in Austin for the weekend. They have a large selection of beer and cocktails along with food options.

99 outside feels like 110 with humidity.... what a joy to find this air conditioned restaurant. Nice to find a place to cool off AND has a great bar AND good food. We lucked out, the good oak was for a fundraiser , & had on it everything we wanted to try. Pretzel was perfect, pastrami was good (not great) had the “Texas pear a dise” to drink and loved it. Nice & relaxed place. Try it!!

This place was recommended by a local and we couldn't have been more disappointed. The food was okay, but wow, not one person working there looked happy. There was no place to sit because they had all of their baking racks piled up in front of the seats. We tried to sit on the landing going down the stairs and the person at the counter told us downstairs was closed. We said we only wanted to sit on the landing and she grumbled that she guessed it was okay. I pointed out that we couldn't get to the seats because of the racks and she just said "Oh". Eventually they moved one of them, but we will never go back there and if anyone asks us about the place, we will tell them to steer clear. What an unpleasant place.

Pastrami breakfast sandwich was out of this world. My wife loved her bacon sandwich. We would've eaten here every day if we could have.

A tour guide recommended Easy Tiger to me and my friends because it was one of his favourite places to eat. The food did not disappoint plus we were able to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. If you like beer an German food, then you will like this place. The rye bread used for my sandwich was freshly baked and amazing. The bakery has a lot of tempting options. If you are a fan of ginger, get the ginger cookie. It is soft, not too sweet, and the perfect end to a great meal.

Everytime we visit Austin we HAVE to make at least one stop here, the staff are really cool and friendly, their food and beer are amazing, location is great, the outdoor is very nice. The last time we went there it was for our small destination wedding and all of our guests loved it!

6th Street without being too 6th Street. A beautiful spot to stop for a drink or an amazing pretzel in a relaxed vibe with a great local beer list.

After a day of exploring historic Austin we were feeling a bit hungry and thirsty so asked a local where we should go and could enjoy refreshing libations and snack outdoors; without hesitation he recommended Easy Tiger and was everything we wanted: casual outdoor beer garden, on a river great crowd and great music. The beer was cold and refreshing. I especially liked the House Made Vegetarian Sausage served with house baked pretzel bread: salty, savory and delicious. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Prices were reasonable and Parking was difficult in town so we walked.

We visited Easy Tiger on a sunny weekend day. They have a nice shady outdoor area where they have bands playing and several food and drinks. The tables are set up picnic table style and sharing allows you to meet new people. Very nice spot in north Austin!

Visited this place while visiting Austin. I had a beer and it was a very good beer. Others ordered mixed drinks and they really enjoyed them. We ordered appetizers and everything excelled except the jerkey which was a bit salty and maybe too dry. Other than that, I'd highly recommend to enjoy a beer.

Great Downtown location. Try the Garlic Sausage or Lamb Sausage. Both tasty with great sauces. Good beer selection, friendly staff

Had the bratwurst on pretzel bun with kraut. The best brat I've had in 20 years. Mustard served with was perfect. My son had the lamb sausage which was also very good. Wish we had Easy Tiger in our city.

Location: a surprise! Good, original. Service: so so ... even when it is not busy you will wait ... and wait ... and wait. Food! Tasty but minimal and expensive. Don’t go there when you expect a meal. Brats are appetizers at best, get a second mortgage when you are looking for a proper dinner!

I popped in here just for drinks while visiting Austin. We had drinks first at the bar and really liked all the options and got great service. Eventually moved outside to the really nice patio space. The drinks were delicious.

We ordered duck sausage on a pretzel bun and it was so unique and yummy. They did not have the signature big pretzel when we were there around 8 pm on Thursday night as it was sold out. The to go order area is on the street level and the dining area is downstairs and has a quaint river and bridge view. It's a charming casual beer garden. They also have all kinds of delicious pastries and iced coffee, and hot espresso drinks. Highly recommended. Craving for more !

Charming & quirky beer garden atmosphere. Friendly & patient staff. An amazing selection of beer (but doggone, I was driving so didn't get to partake). Tried an assortment of items, the bratwurst was good (but probably too conservative a choice with all the other interesting sausages), the roast beef sandwich was good (although I prefer the beef a little more rare), and the snack plate was also really good. Table favorites were the beer cheese, the sourdough bread (wonderful) & the butter (exceptional). Who ranks butter, right? But it was really good! Would love to go back & just hang out with friends for hours, eating, drinking & socializing. Next trip!

We were wandering down 6th, was about to turn around when we spotted the beer garden area below street level. This place was great. Enjoyed the pretzels outside in the sun along with a couple of cocktails (even though they had a large beer selection). It's really busy and popular, and I'm glad we stumbled on it and found space to sit outside!

Whether you like beer or coffee or ping-pong, it's all here. You could have coffee and croissants in the morning, play ping-pong outdoors all day, and drink crazy tap beers when the place starts hopping at night. All good.

Mostly, this place is pretty good. Not a super great place if you don't eat beef/pork/lamb... The pretzel was fantastic, as were the available mustards, but seriously, do they have to charge for every single one of them? It'd be nice if they added some salads or chicken to the menu. service was friendly, but incredibly spotty.

Much more relaxed part of 6th street. Good sit down and relax place to enjoy a beer with friends. The large pretzel is a must!

Came here because a few guidebooks recommended the stop and wasn't disappointed. The sandwiches were great and the craft beer cold. There were a lot of options on the beer menu. Our server was engaging, friendly and took good care of us. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly and welcoming staff with great coffee and a wide selection of baked-on-the -premises pastries, bread, giant pretzels. Did also try their restaurant for lunch which was super busy and the food was good but not exceptional.

We went during the afternoon for a beer and brat lunch. Food was good with generous portions, and the local beer select was great.

We stopped in during a "yout biker gang" tour with Rooster to take a break and had some coffee and pastries outside along the creek. Everything was very good, and the staff was prompt and helpful. I've seen on Reddit since our vacation ended that Easy Tiger has been doing a lot of charity work with their baking, good job guys!

The bread here was amazing, wife had the avocado toast which was awesome. I had the tigerclaw which was epic. I will say that both of our drinks were also top notch. Cool place, excellent taste.

We enjoyed the two boards that we ordered a lot. The drinks and beer selection were good. We would come here. Only negative was sporadic service and that was not very friendly.

Delicious beer, sandwiches, and pretzels. Great mix of people. Superb staff - helpful and friendly. The hot beef sandwich is ridiculously yummy.

I love this place! Everything was delicious, a little bit pricey but worth it. I recommend it to anyone in Austin.

What a nice deli and a unique menu. I had a very good lunch and the service was above average. The was a burnt bread oder when I walked in but went down to the restaurant. The food is GREAT!!

Great food and very nice outdoor patio. It is close to the highway on 6th, very easy to miss it. I highly recommend. Great sandwiches and good drinks.

Service was great. Hot chocolate was not good, but the baguette and butter were delicious. They had all the tables inside reserved, and they gave us no choice but to get a table under a tent outside. It was raining but we still managed to get a place where we could stay dry. When we left, the tables inside were still reserved, and empty. That wasn't nice!!! We bought 2 sour dough loaves which were really good.

A lot going on in this place. Coffee, pastries, and sandwiches in main entrance, restaurant down a flight of stairs, and beer garden in rear. Randomly walked through the beer garden in the back during an Easy Sunday event that happens on scattered Sundays. It is a fundraiser for a local food bank. Had a wonderful time meeting a variety of people enjoying $1 local beers on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Returned several times during my Austin visit for the bakery and coffee in the 6th street entrance. The place is a little gritty, but that describes a place with real character like the Easy Tiger.

We stopped at Easy Tiger on the way to Dallas. We read some good things about it and thought we'd give it a try. The canal view was very nice. Great outdoor seating area (although too warm when we were there to sit outside). The beer selection is good. The German food is very good. They have their own bakery and make their own soft pretzels which were tasty. I ordered the Easy Board German entree. Home made pickles and kraut were good, though I could use a much larger portion for $16.

Went during a hot day and it was very quiet and cool inside. The downstairs is a restaurant, they were sold out of my first choice but ended up with a kielbasa sausage on a pretzel bun which was quite tasty.

Although the ambiance was there and the music was great the food was nasty! Grilled sweet potatoes were crunchy yet burned on the outside. Pretzels we’re too salty to digest and the Chex mix was just as salty. I guess it promotes the continuous beer flow. The drink I ordered was ok but small enough to be an appetizer. I am definitely fair in my ratings but can’t see where some of the other reviews are coming from. Sorry waitress was great but we definitely won’t be back during our visit to Austin and can’t ethically recommend to others. Disappointing....

Everything is made from scratch and you can tell. The sandwiches are excellent,as are the sides. Great place to grab a baked good and coffee in the morning and return for lunch, dinner, and a beer in the beer garden. Very friendly staff, excellent food, and a great craft beer selection make this a can't miss stop when in Austin.

I went twice over the span of a few days, one evening it was relatively quiet and the other was busy. Both times I had great service and the choice of beer was good.

Nice happy hour menu on local bear, a few mixed drinks, and a selection of inexpensive beer friendly munchies. Can’t beat the location on patio overlooking the creek. Too breezy for ping pong though.

Bakery and bread are really great! The beer garden offers a lot of space however tents and surroundings do not look attractive! Food (Half Baguette and Bratwurst) and drinks we had in the beer-garden were also good! However they ran out of some menu items already around 3PM ( even before happy hour starts)

We were in town for the weekend and made it a point to stop in. Fresh bread and meats with good beer. What else can anyone ask for. Nice way to spend an afternoon with friends

Nice place. Pastrami sandwich ($12.50) very good, but served with no sides. A tiny extra portion of sauerkraut was $3. Hubby ordered kielbasa ($8.50) - it was served naked. Add a bun for $1. Don’t like being nickeled and dimed to death. Good craft brew selection on tap. Important to note pour size on beers...some pours are just 6 or 8 oz for a regular (not high ABV) Atmosphere in downstairs fining room pretty cool. Sadly weather wasn’t nice enough for us to enjoy outside space.

Basic casual dinner place, seating on benches rather than chairs. Interesting menu with a couple of German dishes (sausage, pretzels). Moderately priced. Quite good service.

This place is great. They bake all bread fresh in house. The sandwiches are amazing. You can purchase the bread at the bakery upstairs. Great beer selection. Sandwiches are so good. My favorite is Turkey Rueben which is the special on Wednesday but they are all very good.

I am putting this under Easy Tiger in general, the location is located off 183 in Whole Food building. It is smaller than the downtown location and less to offer, but what is does have were very good and the pretzels never fail to get my attention along with local beers its a great place to stop while shopping in the area. so far not many people know and afraid once word gets out and more people try this, the lines will increase and ruin a truly nice thing of getting a good sandwich and beer in a relaxing style. Offers seating indoors and outdoors with a scenic view of store parking lot and tollroad 183.

Play ping pong alongside the creek! Sit at an outdoor table or enjoy the indoor ambiance! This place caters to the young and hip, of which I am neither, but it's very friendly and the food is good!

I had found this place while walking during a 6th Street festival. Nice bakery upstairs, seated dining downstairs. Simple menu with a range of meats. I had the duck sausage on a pretzel roll, awesome and very flavorful. Solid roll as well--not some puffy industrial pretzel wannabe. My spouse had the red pepper and goat cheese sandwich, on ciabatta--the bread was simply awesome. Lastly, my buddy had the half corned beef sandwich, which was still huge, with big chunks of corned beef on fresh rye. For sides we had the grilled stringbeans, very tasty. I love red cabbage, and this did not disappoint, nor did the clearly homemade potato salad. Three people --no drinks--with sandwiches and three sides, just under $37. I would go back again (and again). Upstairs at the bakery we had the good fortune to buy the pretzels before they sold out, and they too were terrific--solid and full of texture and flavor.

Good coffee and pastries in the morning, great lunches, great craft beer selection. Both indoor and outdoor seating. We were in Austin and ended up at Easy Tiger three times. That’s how much we liked this place.

We came here as soon as they opened in the morning. We wanted to get a cup of coffee and plan our first day in Austin. We ordered coffee and a Danish Snail (cinnamon roll). I've had this pastry before in Copenhagen and they nailed it. While we were here we discovered that they also had a beer garden below the cafe on the river so we had to come back and check it out. the downstairs bar and outdoor beer garden were equally amazing! Great spot for coffee, pastries, bread and beer on the river!

Oh, you must stop in and try one of the craft brews. I'm not a huge beer person, but wow, this beer was amazing. The bread... mmmm. I sat outside for what was suppose to be a quick stop. It turned in to me calling my husband and telling him he had to come check out this place right now! Next time we are in Austin, we are definitely stopping here! OH!! And pet friendly!!

Nice place-good amount of parking. Open seating and lots of outdoor seating. Food is very good especially the bread. I get their bread at Whole Foods also but the bakery has many other selections. Great for breakfast or lunch

Me and some colleagues stopped here on a Wednesday afternoon just for a quick beer, initially a little confused as to where the bar was but we found it in the basement and were very happy with our experience from there on. The bar tender provided some good recommendations for us out of towners. The beer list had a lot of options and the staff was great. It’s on the end of 6th street so you’re able to avoid some craziness.

This place was a coincidental find while walking, but the bakery fresh bread, cheese platter and amazing bratwurst was what made this place a true gem. While we were there a large party came in and our food was delayed coming out. The manager was over-the-top accommodating and generous. 5-star customer service to compliment the awesome food..simply can’t ask for more! Would definitely come back next time in Austin!

A nice place to hang out and grab a drink. A tad on the expensive side but that’s Austin. Cool place to stop for a drink when out on the town.

This is a bakery upstairs and a bar/restaurant downstairs. Very noisy but fun. The food was good. We had the German platter which had 2 sausages, 2 pretzels, a tiny sauerkraut and small potato salad. All tasty. Hotdog was delicious, they make their own, but the bread wasn't great. Bratwurst was good.

The name of this little place caught my eye, i just had to know what it was all about and the fact that I love a good beer boosted my desires to check it out while here on business. Easy Tiger nice little beer pub they serve snack type trays & sandwiches. I loved the pretzel and cheese tray the salty pretzel finished great with my beer. Compitition awaits with ping pong tables if you dare for some action. Unsual however unique atmosphere

Our group had a gathering at Easy Tiger, we arrived early so we split the “German,” 2 pretzels, bratwurst, potato salad, sauerkraut, beer cheese and Brooklyn lager mustard. The pretzels were warm, and soft, I don’t care for the processed cheese spreads, their beer cheese complemented the pretzel very well. The bratwurst with the Brooklyn lager mustard, and the sauerkraut, oh my goodness, if we ever go back to Austin, we will definitely go back just for these!! I had the Real Ale Passionfruit Wheat Beer, it was excellent, very light, I’m not a heavy dark beer person at all, had a every so slight hint of citrus. Had a second round of drinks. Yes, this should be a part of your itinerary!

We didn't have food, but came here for late night beers. The outdoor area was fun with a good view of the red river. I would come back here for beers again.

This place has a decent beer selection but it would be nice if they labeled where the beer was from (so that the tourists could try the local stuff). It was chilly as the heat lamps didn’t seem to radiate out in the heated tent. Ping pong by the river was fun and the mixed drinks were good as well.

We have been in Austin a week and have eaten in dozens of cafes, bars, restaurants, clubs so generally know the score with quality, prices and portion size. So we called in to the highly recommended easy tiger to get 2 glasses of white wine. Firstly it comes in a very small plastic beakers despite there being glasses behind the bar . Secondly, a glass of wine these days comes in at 175 mls - as in the days of 125 mls for a glass of wine are long gone. But this was barely 125 mls. So 2 very small glasses of wine in plastic beakers was the best part of $18. Yes - $18 for probably about 200-250 mls of pretty poor white wine. So about $60 for a bottle. In contrast , a very good bottle of Sauv blanc at Moonshine last night was less than $30. Total rip off - the most we have paid for wine all week in Austin by a long long long way. And we know our wine. Avoid .

Easy Tiger was recommended to me by one of the staff member at the nearby Hilton Hotel - the Hilton Garden Inn is right next door as well. This bakery makes bread, pastries and all sorts of cookies. Downstairs is a restaurant seating area but I ordered a turkey sandwich to go. Look over the menu and realize that their stuff is anything but simple but boy was my sandwich excellent. I was intrigued by the breath of their beers on tap downstairs as well. I wished I had time to come back for beers one evening during my stay.

Jordan, our server, was delightful - cheerful, attentive,.and full of good advice. $3 cocktails and $3 appetizers in the beer garden were just what we needed. The Easy 76 (a French 76 with vodka in place of gin) was perfect on a warm afternoon. The pretzel was tasty and the sausages were delicious!

We came here for lunch and had a half sandwich lunch special deal each. At $12 each it was well worth the money for an extremely well stuffed sandwich, side dish and a draft beer. All of the food was delicious and we loved the relaxed atmosphere in the café area and outdoor seating area. Unfortunately our service was incredibly slow. We waited for almost an hour after ordering to be told our order had been forgotten about. During this time we could not get the attention of any staff to ask about our wait. This may have been a fluke but overall the staff seemed inattentive, despite this we enjoyed the food and would return for a lazy afternoon lunch

We stopped here to meet friends and have a beer or 2. Big beautiful outdoor picnic area with plenty of tables with shade. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food. There is parking and the beer was very good.

Went with a group for a bite and a few drinks. The food menu is limited and nothing really appealed to me initially. We got the snack platter thing and it was good, pretzel on point, beer cheese, um yes, homemade (I believe) mustards were yum. They can keep the beef Jerky, wasn’t my fav. I got a sandwich which I expected more from due to the house made meats but, meh. Not bad, not great, just a standard sandwich. Beer selection is great, I’m from the east coast so I’m glad I stopped in.

I had a fast lunch to go. Well that's what was advertised but I waited over 20 minutes for my sandwich. It was good but service was slow and unapologetic although several in line after me received their orders much quicker. Good thing it was cheap and tasty. It would be a fun place to hang out with a group of friends for an evening.

Situated at the far end of Sixth Street and with quite a lot of homeless and drunks. Took a gamble and went downstairs to the bar. Very helpful bar tender, allowed me to sample a couple of ales before I ordered a pint. Good prices, good staff.

We went here right after the 4th of July and the menu looked great with an adequate beer selection. We sat outside which was pleasant and comfortable. We wanted to order 2 boards but were unable to because they were out of pretzels. BUMMER. Then my son-in-law went to order 2 different brews and they were out of them as well. We understood it was a long weekend, but really, you have to question management. Fortunately we completely enjoyed our other orders of pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. Big and delicious.

Let’s just start with there was a dog on a table just standing there. Absolutely unacceptable. Then after they left there comes a server wiping down the table with probably the same rag they wiped all the tables. Plus the service was below average. I am certainly not going back. I hope the health department comes for a visit!

Stopped for a delicious pretzel! Love watching the bakers making bread and other delicious items. Beer garden with ping pong tables. Fun!

Lovely outdoor seating! Went for Happy Hour... great drink specials (the Easy Sandy!) and app specials (cheese board... hot pretzels)! Really cool staff! Definitely go!

My husband and I saw this restaurant on a show, so we decided to try it. I was looking for a whisky barrel aged stout, and they had a decent one. Ate the Hill Country Platter with wild boar, venison sausage, and duck pate- very tasty. Our waitress was friendly and good, so not sure about previous comments of bad service. Beer cheese was “ok”, but salted butter was awesome!

We were warmly greeted...given some beer ideas and went outside to sit. Very nice menu and ample portions. The double pastrami is huge and the veggie sandwich is excellent. Cool vibe and very busy!

I stopped here for some food and drinks. They both were really good. It’s definitely a good place to kill a few hours or just just get a few drinks. The staff was very friendly. I like that they make a lot of the bread

we stopped in for lunch this past sunday. we had a couple of pils beers-I had a lamb sausage on a pretzel roll and my wife just had a pretzel with the cheese. the manager came over and chatted with us for a while and we had some good beer discussions. my sausage was excellent and the pretzel roll was very good. apparently this is the place in Austin to get good bread-one of our friends who is a local confirmed it so! friendly service, good food and cold beer-a winner!

The Easy Tiger has made changes to accommodate Covid restrictions. We went for Sunday Special and it was excellent. The venue is now restricted to outdoor seating but the outdoor area is very nice. There was music and service was very good. They seem to be struggling with how to order under Covid restrictions but I hope they work that out.

Great sandwiches. Had to eat inside due to cold & wind. Nice pastries & beads for purchase. Services many local restaurants. Busy at lunchtime but good service.

I would like to thanks Mr Kavindu bartender because he was so kind humble and professional, for sure I will visit this place agin and agin

I heard so many good things about Easy Tiger but on a quiet, midweek visit with a friend the coffee tasted burnt, the bread and cheese were expensive and the service was terrible.

We ended up eating here because our first choice was closed. It was good we enjoyed our meals. They had a great beer selection. It was a little loud for me but overall ok.

We stopped in after biking Lady Bird Lake for a bite to eat and a cold brew. We sit outside in the beer garden where there are a bevy of picnic tables...pretty cool location next to the river and a sense of seclusion from 6th St. Great selection of beers on tap and a good menu. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. On the way out we stopped by the bakery...excellent selection of fresh baked goods. We bought a loaf of sour dough bread and they sliced it for us before we left. Really cool place.

We ate here for lunch on a Thursday. It was not busy at all. Great outdoor space but it was windy and overcast on the day we were there. The guys played ping pong and the ladies stayed inside.

We had this two mornings because it is kind of connected to the Hilton Garden Hotel and just a short walk in the morning. We enjoyed the fresh baked pastry. Wanted something local and away from the hotel food. This place is small and comfortable. Not many seats. Beer gardens were not open until lunch or dinner.

Fabulous atmosphere upstairs, downstairs or out on the patio. Great beer selection and service. Can't wait to hit the bakery on our next visit!

Enjoyed fresh breakfast pastries & avocado toast, tea, coffee. Nice variety of choices. Friendly staff. Will be back.
Night on the town before graduation
Went here because it was less busy and seemed quieter than all other establishments in the area. The waitress took awhile to come to our table and seemed to be distracted. She was not busy because there were only two other tables with people. My take on the food it was the most expensive hot dog without a bun I have had. That was not a meal. Two of us ordered the wiener and one a sandwich and three glasses of water. The bill was shocking.
