Soooo be ready for a wait on the weekend! Metered street Parking There is a lot that you can pay for behind the laemmle theater My burger was delish but the salad was kind of blah. The dressing is really strong and they slather it all over so ask for it on the side. We had 3 people but they put us at a 2 top so that was not fun. My chair was in the aisle and it got bumped by anyone passing in the outdoor area. And bc it's so busy service is slow.

Great local restaurant in North Hollywood. The food is excellent and there is a great variety. Sandwiches, salads, breakfast and more. Sit at the counter, get a sidewalk table or sit inside. It's a fun cozy place. The place is only open for breakfast and lunch and is packed most weekdays and all weekend so get there early for lunch. I eat there at least two times a month. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. The parking isn't all that great but you can find places pretty close.

We stopped by on the way to Burbank airport. I had an omelette with potatoes. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle...excellent. The omelette was cooked the way I like it. The service was very good and the location perfect. This website says it is in LA, but it’s actually in North Hollywood

Breakfast was eclectic, but delicious! Will go back next time I am in NoHo! And you gotta try the shreds!

Always love to go to EAT!! Although I have only been there for breakfast/brunch I have never been disappointed. Great egg dishes and french toast. Chilaquiles and scrambles are particularly good. Very helpful and personable staff. Really nice vibe. Only problem: it would be great if it had more tables!!

It's actually called EAT on Magnolia now. Damn fine breakfast food until 3 pm. Relatively cheap, too.

Really great experience. We had a killing me sofly french toas amazing and the Blat sandwich was very good too. Bon service et personnel tres agréable. Very nice place Prix raisonnable et abordable.

My family love breakfast as our favorite meal of the day. When we visited LA, we drove past a sign that read EAT and decided to give them a chance. It's a small, quaint restaurant, with indoor and outdoor options, but the food is nothing short of amazing. No matter what your preference, they have something for everyone. My 6 year old son devoured his Oreo cookie pancake. My husband had an organic, free range chicken breast, with a small salad and oatmeal. I enjoyed an egg scrambled with cheese, potatoes and onions, and the best bacon I've ever tasted! We loved this place and we will definitely return!

+ breakfast anything, zucchini shredders, rocker wait staff makes me feel cool, close to work -- sandwiches are a waste of time; stick with breakfast

The queue was out the door to be seated in the restaurant! Only had to wait 10mins then we were seated inside. I ordered a breakfast bagel with shreds (courgette/zucchini), it was delicious. My friend had a choc chip pancake. The best she'd eaten in LA, and by pancake, I mean you get three thick pancakes. I tried a little and they were scrummy. Friendly and efficient staff. Slightly more expensive but worth the money.

I love EAT in North Hollywood. I’ve been here maybe 6 times in the last month alone. The ambiance is my favorite part. When I sit outside in the narrow alley with the beautiful orange walls it almost gives me the feeling of being in another country. I love it. The service is always quick and the food is always amazing. A few of my favorite breakfast dishes are the filet mignon benedict, the chilaquiles, and my all time favorite the corned beef hash and eggs. Eat does it the best. I also recommend their chai latte mmm. This place has a great vibe and a cute hipster feel.

Eat, usually what we do when we are hungry, right? In North Hollywood you can do just that by stopping in at "EAT" off of Magnolia blvd. They have a vast menu of great breakfast items, served in large portions, usually with fresh fruit.. I love the eggs benedict! which is really hard to make, a must try, and the healthy sandwiches and pancakes and salads, and lunch items will leave you very happy! It is somewhat pricey, but well worth it with the portion sizes. Service is usually very good.

I guess you know a good place when there is a line out the door. We had breakfast. Lots of food, very fresh. Tables inside are very close, and since it was full, it was very noisy. But the staff knows how to maneuver. It's quite a skill. They kept our coffee and water glasses full.

Strong coffee and great egg scrambles. My favorite is the Deluxe Scramble which seems to include everything including spinich. They also have a unique breakfast side dish of Zuchini Shredders. Its a small place and a little bit expensive for a diner. Service is so so during busy times -- it's best to be vocal about refills.

Great affordable dining option in LA! Try their zucchini "hash browns" if you are looking for a new spin on a delicious vegetable. I was dining with three others, and everyone loved their food - probably not a bad option on the menu. I would go back if I'm ever in LA again.

Busy, tiny restaurant, kids enjoyed it but I was disappointed they don't do any allergy friendly food. Neighborhood is very busy and servers were really good.

This is the best food for Breakfast and Bunch . I love to order there zucchini shreds so good. They are wonderful if you have diet restrictions and the service is wonderful.

A classic American food venue that sits beside a public golf course and the LA River. Great friendly service, generous food servings, good prices. Recommended for casual dining in LA.

We were staying at the Sportmen's Lodge in Studio City, but my cousins wanted to go to brunch at this place. There was a cafe at the hotel, and I couldn't figure out why we had to drive somewhere to have brunch. After we got there, I realized it was worth going out of the way for! The employees were extremely friendly, and all of them were smiling. Our waitresses name was "Grizzy". The hostess had a beautiful smile. But...the food...the food was INCREDIBLE! I had the special of the day, the seafood omlette with Chipotle sauce. Little scallops surrounded the omlette. Shrimp inside. I ate every morsel, and sopped up the remaining sauce with my sourdough toast. The fruit cup was the best, ever! It had everything from Ollalla berries to Kiwi. I would definitely recommend this place. It's right across the street from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Had a delicious breakfast croissant with bacon and avocado at this casual eatery in North Hollywood. Great service. Indoor and outdoor seating. If I lived in that area I'd go there often.

Very Hip New York / Euro feel. But you are on Magnolia Blvd in NOHO. The menu is great and the portions will fill you up. I really like the location and the servers were pleasant and friendly. It's worth the visit!

Went to Eat for breakfast. Shreds were delicious! Breakfast was served quickly hot and delicious. Atmosphere casual, a little cramped but with really good food and at a decent price, it's well worth it.

Went for breakfast today and it was very good. 4.5 stars out of 5 for me. First, the food was outstanding. My wife and I got the Frosted Flakes French Toast. Outstanding. We also got an order of bacon, eggs, toast and fruit. The eggs were perfect and the fruit was a nice assortment. My only disappointment was the bacon. I am a bacon critic and tough on that. The bacon wasn't cooked enough for my taste and that is why it wasn't a 5-star. It was fatty and not cooked thoroughly. Tasty, but I like mine a little crisp. Personal taste. The vibe of the place was great and the people who worked at EAT were so nice and welcoming. It has that neighborhood feel and I love going to a Sunday breakfast and meeting people who are so kind. Everyone, from the hostess to the wait staff was simply incredible. Lastly, the price isn't cheap, but not expensive either. Good value for what we paid and it isn't crazy expensive like many breakfast places these days. This is a hidden gem!

.our party of 3 Friends found this little place when researching places to have breakfast while visiting Hollywood. After reading lots of reviews we settled on "Eat" in the NoHo Art district. Parking is curbside in the neighborhood. We found a spot within a few blocks of the restaurant. Eat has cozy seating inside and a few sidewalk tables outside. It was raining during our visit but we were comfortable if a bit cool at a covered table outside which was the first availability. The staff was friendly, and attentive, offering us beverages as we took our seats. After reviewing the menu and not being able to decide we ordered a selection of breakfast dishes for the table to share. We loved everything. The coffee is strong and flavorful. The classic Eggs Benedict and the special of the day Crab Eggs Benedict had the eggs cooked with just the right amount of runny yoke and tasty rich sauce. The Raspberry French Toast and Nutella banana Crepes are sweet dishes that work well for the sweet breakfast lover or desert. The fruit in both dishes helps to offset the sweetness but I did take sips of the coffee also. I would recommend this wonderful restaurant for its amazing food and attentive staff. I would visit during slow times of the day due to the cozy seating unless you are ok with what could be a long wait. We did note that Eat offers online ordering for pickup and delivery. This could be a good option waiting for a table, but we did not try this option during this visit. Finding Eat on line is a bit tricky because of the name. EatNoHo.com Eat is located in the NoHo Art district of Hollywood at 11108 magnolia Blvd North Hollywood Ca

Great food! Service was quick! Came here on a weekday morning so it wasn't busy at all. We got a seat right away. The food was great. Simple and delicious!

We stopped by here for lunch the other day, it was busy so we sat outside which is noisy because its on Magnolia Blvd between Lankershim and Vineland so they get a fair bit of foot traffic but a lot of car traffic as well. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and although she was obviously very busy she was attentive and pleasant and seemed to genuinely enjoy her work, which is great and says as much about the owners as anything else. I mentioned that I had recently eaten at the District Bar just around the corner and was not surprised to be informed by her that it was owned by the same people. I had a Duck Confit sandwich and my wife had a Grilled Salmon salad, we 'shared' a large bowl of fries. All of the food was delicious and although my appetite was more than satiated, I wanted to keep eating. Highly recommended.

My wife and I decided to stop here for breakfast because our other choice had not opened yet. We were quickly seated and our food orders taken. The menu was interesting, I ordered the Italian Pasta breakfast. This was great, I loved it.

My hotel recommended this place. It's in an area with lots of options. They serve primarily breakfast / brunch items which is what I wanted. All the food seemed high quality and beautifully served and prepared. I did have a egg scramble which had interesting and lovely veggies in it and I was able to get fresh fruit as a side instead of potatoes. The only weird thing was the bread; it was very average. Usually when a restaurant is higher quality this is too. It was fine, just not special or interesting at all. The servers were helpful and friendly.

The name is simple and to the point, just like the experience. There’s decent seating on the patio, and it’s fully covered — great for enjoying a meal outdoors without worrying about the weather. I decided to try the Parmesan Crusted Grilled Cheese, and I was pleasantly surprised by how large the sandwich was. Paired with a generous portion of onion rings, it turned out to be a very filling lunch. The grilled cheese was delicious — not overloaded with cheese, and the bread had just the right amount of crust and crunch. The onion rings were thick, flavorful, and nicely cooked. I’d definitely visit again.

Eggs Benedict the best, but everyone seemed to be enjoying their food! Parking a little tough, park to the North on street. They hope to expand, maybe add parking. Place is friendly and food good, what more can you ask for??

Real nice food! Really nice people! The area is also super nice! If you're around NoHo go and try it. PS portions are quite large

This place has changed hands many times over the years, but they've finally found a management that has made the food and the service consistently good. They're busy, so going at a popular time for brunch will mean a long wait. Once you're in though, the kitchen is fairly fast, although it's small place so be prepared to squeeze into a tight spot. I've had just about every vegetarian menu item they have, and they're all pretty good, just be sure you get the zucchini shredders if you're having breakfast. They're Eat's signature side dish, and they're great.

They have a fun outdoor atmosphere and awesome salads for lunch! I always stop here at least one time and I think it's fantastic!

Yes we did! anyway you want it, just ask! We had breakfast in the little alley next to the building, cozy! great waitress, great food! Perfect local eatery!

My wife and I stopped in here on accident while we were waiting on a later appointment just down the street. We are so happy we stopped in. I had the filet mignon Benedict and my wife had the noho omelette. Both meals came with a side of hash brown potatoes... everything was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point..the potatoes were very buttery and had a nice crisp edge. The service was outstanding and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back and will highly recommend this to our friends.

I came to visit my boyfriend in NoHo for two months and Eat quickly became my favorite spot. They have outdoor seating and quickly befriended our dog :) The service is excellent and friendly and the food is always flawless! I recommend highly any of their varied Benedicts - get the shreds as a nice hash-brown alternative.

Had lunch and really enjoyed my iced tea and my cobb salad. It was good portion sizes and healthy. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Now this was a great surprise my granddaughter from Bakersfield found it and picked it as the place to have breakfast after picking us up from our flight from Texas , we all enjoyed our selections and dinning out side while still nice and cool only heightened our experience the serve for a party of 6 was amazing , killing me softly was shared by all and all gave it a 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The shreds were awesome. Eggs Benedict are done right! Try the one with the portobello medallions. Fruit was so fresh. Hard to choose between sides.

My friend and I stopped over at Eat before going to the traditional LA spots. This place is amazing! It's a cute little breakfast/brunch spot with loads of options. Of course because I'm cheap and boring, I got the pancakes and my friend got a traditional breakfast food as well. I fell that those were the best pancakes I've eaten at a restaurant. They were huge so i couldn't eat all three. Service was a little slow but that's only because they got really busy after we sat down. However, the waitress was really friendly. This place is really popping. The next time I am in LA, I will definitely go here. Highly recommended. The menu options are crazy!!!(in a good way)

Definitely one of my favorite places in NoHo. They do all day breakfast and have pretty good vegetarian options. Big portions, friendly service, nice outdoor seating space. It can get busy on the weekends, but worth the wait.

I visited California just last week (3/24/16 - 3/28/16) for my birthday and I stayed with my friend in NoHo. I'm a breakfast girl so I was in desperate need of it during my stay..... I searched for breakfast on Yelp and the rest is history. This place is sooooo good! Its very quaint and comfy and the service is good. Aside from that, the food is so so yummy! I had the NoHo omelette the first time with the potatoes and a side of country sausage links, and I loved it enough to come back the next day for the same thing except that next time I got the zucchini shreds instead of the potatoes. Cant wait to go back!

I love this cool little cafe. The food is excellent, service great, good atmosphere and interesting customers. We usually sit at the tables along the sidewalk but there are plenty of tables inside as well. The pancakes and waffles are amazing ! Very good burgers and sandwiches including good veggie burger. Excellent grilled salmon and wonderful desserts. Great people watching but the place does get crowded at the lunch hour. Metered parking along the street.

We went to a taping at Universal Studio so decided to stop here as it was recommended on the forums. Parking was quite difficult but we parked about 5 mins walk in a strip mall for free. We were seated straight away and ordered with minutes. I ordered the eggs Benedict with sweet potato fries and my friend got the chicken sandwich. All I can say is the food was amazing, the fries were probably the best I've tasted and the eggs Benedict was made perfect with not too much sauce. I would highly recommend eating here for breakfast/lunch. I will be visiting again before I leave.

Small Cafe with GREAT food. Walnut, Caramel Pancakes (Wife), Chicken Monterey Sandwich (Me), Five Cheese Grilled Cheese (daughter). Great food and service plus there is a bunch of other things on the menu that I'm dying to try next time.

Stopped in here for breakfast the other day and left completely satisfied. There were so many options but the Hash and eggs were on point and so were the eggs benedict. Will definitely come back when we are town.

If you’re in LA and you want to eat great breakfast that’s the place you have to visit. I definitely recommend omelettes. Awesome service and very nice inside. Try it because and you’re gonna love it!

My wife and I arrived around 9am for breakfast. I ordered the Italian scramble. I got the house potatoes to go with it. It looked good, and it tasted great. Our server was wonderful. I would certainly eat here again.

This place is excellent. The vibe is cool and casual. You will find good music, great service, and awesome food. I like that there are many healthy options along with dishes like the "oreo pancake" for those who want to splurge. The coffee is good and there are indoor and outdoor seating options. This place is only open until about 3pm so no dinner but it's a great spot for those looking for hip, fun, healthy, yummy, and reasonably priced food. Larger parties can be accommodated but not easily so beware of that. Enjoy!

great breakfast

It was early Saturday morning and we were still on Central time. Eat, open for breakfast and lunch and located on the edge of trendy NoHo just off of Vineland, met our criteria for a "locals' spot". The restaurant is small, with a grill kitchen and counter running along one side, a dozen or so tables indoors, and various outdoor seating. At the time of our visit Eat had apparently squatted on the patio for the closed store front next door, so there was as much seating outside as in. The decor is nothing special, clean with cheery yellow walls, basic tables and chairs, some framed prints, and that open kitchen. Felt like an LA version of a coffee shop. Metered street parking is available. We (2 adults, 1 college kid, 1 child) arrived around 9:00am on a Saturday morning. We snagged the lone table that had just been vacated while the busboy cleared. Once seated, we were almost immediately greeted and asked for drink orders. Coffee was plain Joe, but strong and hot and mugs were topped off every few minutes. Very reasonable at $2. The menu is reasonably priced for a full service restaurant with a full and interesting breakfast menu, although it's more than the counter-service Porto's a mile or so down the street (and which we also love). In addition to french toast, pancakes, egg dishes and scrambles, oatmeal, omelets, and various forms of benedict, Eat offers some Mexican style breakfasts and even some breakfast pasta! There's also some vegeterian entrees. Most items come with a choice of side, but the shreds (shredded zucchini-potato hash browns) are its signature item. The young ones ordered french toast, which came out light and fluffy on good thick sliced bread. The spouse ordered a bacon and eggs dish and ate every bite, while I opted for the breakfast bagel in order to sample the chicken jalepeno sausage. This was not a preformed bulk purchased sausage patty, but perhaps a full 1/3 lb. of hand- formed homemade sausage! Chicken apple and turkey sausage, although not tried, are also available. The bagel was fresh and toasty, although it was not an East Coast boiled bagel. Overall, the sandwich was terrific, but, I could barely eat 1/2 of it. The shreds were a nice, tasty alternative to breakfast potatoes. Next time, I'll go a la carte, although a few small plates would be a welcome menu addition. Service was steady - not fast as though prepared, but not leisurely, either - and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. By the time we left, the overflow patio had filled and wait lines were forming. This is a place to check out earlier rather than late. Although we did not make it back to try the lunch menu, it looked good, with burgers, sandwiches, paninis, wraps and salads. Burgers with a side were in the $8-10 range, sandwiches, $8-12, and salads $7-13. I'd return again in a flash just for those shreds and sausage. Oh, and maybe to split some french toast!

Whenever I'm in the North Hollywood area this spot is my go to for breakfast! There are lots of good options for a range of tastes...including super sweet like choc chip pancakes and french toast, to very healthy like egg white omelettes. The food tastes very fresh and prices are reasonable!

We were waiting for our renal car to be available so we stumbled upon this place to eat. It had good reviews on google so I thought I'd give it a shot. They nailed it. Quick service, friendly staff, and the food was AMAZING. It was extremely fresh and flavorful. And the price isn't bad, especially considering the quality of what you're getting. I'll definitely be back.

The Killing Me Softly french toast was sooo good! The service is great and the prices are very reasonable.

This has been a staple for eating out the last month. Their food is always great, unique, and priced right. Their chipotle chicken sandwich is great for lunch, and if you are feeling breakfast, they have some awesome choices for such a small simple menu.

Simple. Direct. I had NOHO 🥗 salad- every bite was a nice surprise 🎉- cherry tomatoes 🍅 palms Asian pear 🍐 greens over tuna - very nice lite balsamic dressing 😋 - also order salmon burger - demolished it😋 side of fruit 🍉🍊🍒 Very yummy healthy lunch 🍴

Wonderful breakfast. The French toast is great. It's covered with powdered sugar and twisted up in the plate. I am from out of town and will go back when I return to SoCal.

EAT is a spectacular little dive. The food is incredibly fresh and the service is speedy. The benadicts, french toast, pancakes and fruit were all so delightful. The OJ is fresh squeezed, and the tea organic- just how we like it! I'd come back again and again. Everyone's plates around us were a sight...

This place has great food. Service is awesome as well. The place is in a great location. My kids loved there pancakes and steak and eggs. My cornbeef hash tasted great. Would come back again if I’m ever in the area.
