We have eaten at the ECCO at the Atlanta airport and always enjoyed the food. The goat cheese balls in honey and cracked pepper is an absolute must. While overnight in town we thought we try the location close to our hotel and see how much difference there was. The service was EXCELLENT. We had an amazing young man who really guided us in the right direction. His wine suggestions were good as well. The Pappardelle, braised pork, peppadew peppers, garlic was really tasty. The Garganelli, lamb shoulder and heart ragout, mint, house made ricotta, was very strong and a bit salty for our taste. We would recommend ECCO

Every bite was delicious. Wish I had tried it sooner. Busy on a Monday. Great wine and excellent service.

Great, great food! The fried goat cheese w/ honey and black pepper was so good, that we ordered them for appetizer and desert. The atmosphere was great, wait staff extremely attentive, and the food tops it off.

My wife and I ate here in December on our trip home to South Carolina. The have one of the best charcuterie boards we have ever had! Would highly recommend and we will definitely back when we are in town

Had a very good brunch and service on Mother’s Day—- and returned for the delightful Garden Party Cocktail. However, I was taken aback by the limited and unimpressive menu options for the evening. Also, the noise level was—- well oppressive and unpleasant. Also, we arrived during happy hour with our laid back sun dress, shorts and flip flops—-while the crowd was mostly in suits and appeared somewhat pretentious. We ordered 5 items from the cheese and meat appetizer—- which arrived with something that looked like straw bread sticks and hard, brittle cracker bread. It was ok—-average. My sweetie ordered the flatbread. We have had better at the California Pizza Kitchen. The biggest disappointment; however, was their beet salad. I love beet salad, but theirs had the worst combination of items I’ve ever tasted. While beets are delicious with goat cheese, spring salad, tangerine or grapefruit and other nuts… This beet salad was mostly a grain bowl. It tasted like a cross between crushed pecans and granules of flat quinoa. With tip—-we spent almost $180.00 and for what??? It was almost—as if I was visiting at different restaurant—-We won’t be back

As the location for our first date, I was hoping for an atmosphere that was quiet, but had a touch of intimate ambiance. Ecco delivered on both. In addition, the food was excellent. I love salmon, but only when it is done well. The salmon was prepared to perfection and the taste incredible. My date had the scallops, which were delicate, tender, and prepared to perfection without a "fishy" taste. For the final touch we enjoyed the chocolate cake with raspberry drizzle, and split a dish of olive oil, salted caramel ice cream. It doesn't sound wonderful, but the taste was amazing. This was my first time to visit Ecco, but it will not be my last.

I have to say straight off that most of our food and beverage was good. However, the surly attitude of our server as well as my being accosted by a drunk in the restaurant really made it an unpleasant experience. We went here with another couple before the David Byrne show at The Fox. We left plenty of time for service from the start of our reservation, which was good, as service was pretty slow. We came here as one of our friends is a trained chef (and used to work as a chef). He wanted to come here for the small plates. We had a reservation and had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated. We were seated right next to the kitchen, which was very interesting but deafeningly loud. We had waters fairly quickly. Our server asked to take our drink order: 3 of us got Woodford Reserve Manhattans straight up ($16). She was very abrupt, very crabby, and acted very angry toward us. I'm not sure what happened but we noticed immediately and walked on eggshells the rest of the evening. We did shared small plates: Goat Cheese ($9), Sea Trout ($13), sardines ($12), and Charred Octopus ($16). As couples we shared identical small plates. The Goat Cheese was the clear winner! The Sea Trout was also quite good. The Sardines had a very strong flavor, stronger than I have ever had before. The Octopus was charred but was quite rubbery. Nice flavor, but.... The plates were delivered to our table as they were complete, which was fine. We didn't ask for anything additional, nor water refills, nor additional cocktails. Our server continued to act quite angry with us. The restaurant is very loud due to the many highly intoxicated guests. It was hard to hear. There was a table of adults 60+ years old seated next to us who were staggeringly drunk. (This was a Tuesday night, too.) When I was returning from the restroom and meeting up with my party to leave, a man I had never seen before came up to me next to the kitchen and started shouting at me. He completely went off on me. He was glazed-eye drunk; this was in full view of the servers and I know a manager was standing right around the corner as I could see him. I backed up quickly so the man couldn't touch me; I was afraid I was about to be struck. No one did anything! Nothing! In the middle of their business. I had the glass display case on one side (wine display I think) and the building wall behind me. He wanted the bathroom so I yelled back at him and pointed at the back hall with the bathrooms. He left me alone at that point. Boy, the police should've been called. We left immediately. It will be awhile before we go back. This experience chilled me; I do not care for the other patrons. They may have money but some have no class (and were visibly over-served). The crabby server was a bit much too.

I met two friends for dinner at Ecco after one indicated it was his favorite in town. We first had drinks at the bar, which were excellent. Dinner was also excellent, with great food and service in a very comfortable atmosphere.

Very large selection of drinks. Enjoyed the fried goat cheese and pappardelle pasta. Cool and relaxed atmosphere.

If you are like me and like to try local cuisine, I highly recommend this upscale midtown Atlanta eatery. My husband chose it because it has farm to table ingredients and because of its proximity to the Americas mart. We lucked out! The space is large and lovely and it is just as appropriate for a date as it is for a business meeting. Our waiter, Ryan, was knowledgeable and helpful. The meal was well paced. He recommended the fried goat cheese drizzled in honey which was ridiculously delicious. The roasted baby beet appetizer was beautiful and flavorful. When I mentioned I would really like to eat a vegetarian pasta, Ryan asked if he could have a special dish prepared off-menu. I was so delighted with the entrée they made with house-made wide flat noodles, fresh tomatoes, basil and absolutely delicious mushrooms. Each flavor was so fresh. Ryan told me they grow several of the ingredients on the roof garden. Our bill , which included two appetizers, two pasta entrées, two glasses of wine, and a dessert came to $110. I considerate it money well spent and will make sure to return next time I am in Atlanta. Thank you for the lovely experience!

Our family chooses restaurants carefully when we travel. We are foodies. This was not a good experience for us. We had a difficult time ordering because the choices were not varied- the vegetarian choices were cauliflower and cauliflower another way, and the beef choices few. The dessert cake was wet and dense, and didn’t appear to be made on premises. The most disappointing: the service and attention from waitstaff was not good. One of our group felt unable to eat much, and so was given to go boxes at the table to scrape her own food into. No questions asked about her meal or if anything was amiss, just a bunch of to go cartons tossed onto the table. I understand doing that at a chain restaurant, but I wasn’t expecting that here. I presume that the wait staff do not have a reason to work hard at service, because a 20% tip is automatically added to all tickets. Finally, the napkins smelled stale. They are the restaurant service napkins you get at a big chain hotel. Getting out is difficult now, with Covid, so when we go, we are hoping for a better experience.

We enjoyed a group reunion dinner at Ecco in their private party room and both the service and food were very good. We had the cured meat and cheese board, the shaved brussels sprouts, calamari, and about 10 of the wood fired pizzas.

Had a very nice meal and the staff was great. Only gripe is the acoustics. Very loud and hard to hear anyone who’s not right next to you.

Do not waste your time with this restaurant with so many other nearby options. We came at 9:30pm on a Thursday night and the wait staff wanted to close down early so wouldn’t take our drink order. When we asked to speak to the manager, he was rude and inappropriate. Save yourself the trouble and skip this place.

I took my family here for a pizza dinner. It was a great experience the pizza boss as good as in Italy and we had a fantastic time. The servers were very efficient and fast and finally we even got dessert. We will definitely be back

Well,....it’s a different place for sure. If you like fancy and you don’t mind having to be explained what the menu items are then this May be your place. For me I like things a little more simple. It was a crowded place for sure. I had the flat bread and it would be about equivalent of two pieces of pizza and it had an egg some very thin slices of ham and cheese and the cost is $20. Yes you read correct. The quality of the food was good just very, very overpriced. Also by the time we finally got our food my hunger had passed. Right at an hour to get our food but it didn’t take but a minute to get handed out $229 bill. There were 6 of us two had the flat bread (pizza) one split an entree and there were 3 beers ordered. This was my first and last visit.

Here for a client dinner with 20 people. Had a fixed menu but many good choices for main course. The braised beef pepper appetizer was very tasty, The monkfish over farro - recommended by our awesome server Christopher - was delicious. The only downside was the moscow mules were not served in a copper mug, but that is a minor complaint from a really nice time. If you are eating downtown, Ecco remains a great place to eat.

I went to this place on my first eve in Atlanta. Specious, trendy with an open space style, this place has good service and good food. I tried the veggie pasta with side salad and both were delicious. The wine selection is good and they also have a good bar in the middle. All in all not too bad.

The service was good-no complaints. I was disappointed in the limited menu options and it definitely was not vegan or even vegetarian friendly. A whole food plant based diet is going to be very common in the future and I think you need to offer at least a few options on your menu. Also, our reservation was early on Friday night and when we left around 7:00 p.m., the restaurant was pretty empty, which is not a good sign. Please bring your menu into the 21st century so you can survive. Meat and cheese are going to be a thing of the past very soon.

I went to Ecco with co-workers for a client dinner. The restaurant has great ambiance with the open kitchen format. We started with the fried gouda...I mean how can you go wrong with fried cheese. It was delicious! We also had the olives, which I hear they are known for. For dinner, folks at our table had a variety of items including a flat bread, the lamb shank and I had the papparadelle. SO GOOD! The service was top notch. Great restaurant in Atlanta!

Truly special item on the menu is the Duck on a bed of lentils and puree of eggplant. Cooked medium rare, it was succulent. Paired with a cabernet it was spectacular! Party of 14 and service was still flawless.

The food was delicious. The service was amazing. Great wine selection and all of that at a good price for the value. Get the chocolate dessert. It is well worth it!

My husband and I go to Atlanta several times a year for a long weekend and always end up at Ecco. We are never disappointed and this time was no exception. They have, hands down, the best charcuterie board in the city. The meat and cheese selections are spot on. Nice atmosphere and staff and just a pleasant and delicious ev3ning out.

Good food, nice place , s-l-o-w service on a non busy night. Nice staff. But service way to slow on everthing. Dined in group of 10 day after Christmas.

My wife and I agree, this is one of the best restaurants we've eaten at. OMG, delicious food, all farm to table, locally grown, super service, great environment, wonderful wine selection - what could be better! If in Atlanta, don't miss this place.

Ate here on a Tuesday evening. We did have a reservation but had to wait on our table. Nice wine list, server made good wine and food recommendations.

We had excellent service, as well as great suggestions from the wine list! The staff was very accommodating of our time constraints. I had the fish, which the day was a red snapper. It was prepared very well with seasoning that reminded me of being in Europe. My wife went with one of the salads, and she loved it. I always have this restaurant on my list of places to stop in downtown!

Love this place. I go only once a year when in Atlanta for work. I always make a reservation prior to my arrival. I am gluten intolerant and there’s plenty for me to choose from. Inventive menu is always different and delicious. Wine selection is amazing and the wait staff is on point with knowledge of the dishes to wine selections. Don’t miss it.

The bar was phenomenal and dinner fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the gnocchi with the braised rabbit. Friends enjoyed the sea bass and steak. Order all the desserts and share. The donuts were my fave, but the pistachio cake was also tasty.

Had a great business dinner at Ecco. Lauren our server was aces. All of her recommendations were delish. You need to order the house specialty...fried goat cheese balls! The 14 oz strip with a balsamic glaze and pancetta was cooked to perfection (med). Diverse wine list just follow Lauren's recommendations. Highly recommend if in the ATL.

Great experience. Great service. Great location. Love the inside. We had fried goat cheese, Wood Roasted Shrimp for appetizers. The goat cheese with the honey grizzle added great flavor. The fish of the day was Pompano, and my daughter had the Duck Breast. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The mixed drinks weren't watered down. They have a military discount too. A must visit if you're visiting Atlanta.

Went here before a show at the Fox, it is within walking distance. The food, service and ambience here are just terrific. The staff was highly attentive. Drinks, appetizers and pasta all terrific. Highly recommend for a nice romantic dinner or even a business dinner.

The family met up w/our daughter here for her 25th birthday. Had heard great things about Ecco for years. Loved it's location & was greeted with a smile. We ordered a little bit of everything & it was all delicious & plated so pretty. The decor was inviting & loved having the large booth. We all enjoyed the wines we ordered. We even got a parking spot out front, only downside, it was metered parking, we were a few minutes late getting to the car & yes, we had a parking ticket. Two hours means two hours!!

Guys, it’s really hard to surprise me. This place did that. Alan, the sous chef, checked every single dish, tasted, cleaned and seasoned every plate before it left. His attention to detail is not something you see these days. Outstanding. Truly outstanding. Delmonico was a bit cold, but really good. Excellent quality. Flabread couldn’t be better. Salads and cheeses are great appetizers. Bread was served with amazing quality olive oil. Bread Could have been warm. But besides that, excellent. Having that wood oven right there you could warm up the bread easily. Kids pasta size wasn’t acceptable. Good for a two year old. You get exactly 16 penne in a dish. You will need 3/ 4 portions for an 8 year old. Al dente and well executed. 10$ / kids portion. Olives were great. Only 1 castelvetrano in the mix :(. Could be better seasoned. And a few more castelvetranos Would be welcome. Overall, a solid and well executed menu. Miriam took very good care of us. Would hire her immediately. Will definitely be back VERY soon. For sure. Good job folks.

Lamb Shank--best I've eaten! Carrots prepared like the farmhouse days Flatbread---made special with mozzarella Octopuse prepared better the Greeks Waitress who knows her food & top service

Their cured meats and cheeses were very tasty. The wine selections were broad and offered something for everyone. And of course, the fried goat cheese was a must. My main dish was the Pasta dish of spaghetti with Jonah crab. For my wife's birthday she dined on the lamb shank with creme fraiche. Savoring each bite, we topped off the meal sharing a Sacher Torte dessert of chocolate cake with apricots and cream. The service was adequate and the server was very knowledgeable. .

This is a modified Italian eatery. I enjoyed the fried goat cheese with honey. Good service and nice decor. I had one of the flatbreads. Valet parking.

Great atmosphere in unique wooded area of midtown Atlanta, and great restaurant with unique menu from which everything was fantastic. Had the crispy duck and I would recommend that. The fried cheese covered in honey is so good and especially with the cracked pepper. A must have appetizer. Great desserts too - try the apple pie. Encountered many of the staff and all very friendly and accommodating. Pricey but I think appropriate for the quality and atmosphere.

I am from NY and used to really good Italian but this was a big surprise in Atlanta. I actually steak and it was incredible. Service was great, apps were really. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went on a Thursday evening and it was really busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. Good small plates, really large entrees if you are very hungry, and a lovely relaxed pace, where no one was being rushed through the courses. Worth a visit.

Surprising high quality of the food. Everything is special: we tried cheese and starters, pasta and main dishes: very, very, very good. A bit too expensive.

Ecco is one of our favorite restaurants in ATL. The service is always top notch, and the food amazing. This is the first time I’ve had the duck breast there. I’m a big fan of duck, and they did it right! The Piquillo peppers stuffed with braised beef appetizer literally melts in your mouth. The fried goat cheese balls app...also awesome!

We live two blocks away and have dined here many times. This time we had the Tuna Crudo and the tiny portion was way too high at $19. Same with the duck ravioli special @ $27. Portion was way too small for the price… it’s pasta! I’ve complained about the beer selection for years. There is not one local beer on the list. I’ve mentioned this before and nothing changes. Dogfish 60 @ $9.00 for 12 ounces is absurd. Add Scofflaw Basement in a pint size .. that would be a good start. I realize the place is heavy on wine and cocktails but there are some of us who are beer folks. On service… it’s at best ok. I know.. it’s impossible to hire and keep people. Just the reality now. Oh.. if you are looking for the pizza and pastas… well it’s under “Flour.” Seriously.

We visited for dinner before an evening show at the laughing skull. We had a number of appetizers and they were all excellent. The meat and cheese tray was fantastic. The calamari was amazing. The pizzas were fresh and delicious. A great spot to dine in midtown!

Had a delicious meal with family. Great place to go for a nice date or night out and priced accordingly for an upscale meal in the area.

Run, don't walk, to Ecco for the fried goat cheese. It's a great place for a pre-show meal when going to the Fox. Everything was delicious and we had plenty of time!

Excellent meal, outstanding steaks and seafood, charcuterie of aged hams and meats and cheese selection was really great. Service was outstanding. Desserts were awesome and seemed to have an Austrian spin - Sacher Torte, Linzer Torte, Apple Strudel - ice creams were also very good Hits on all cylinders - highly recommend Ecco

Five of us enjoyed the inventive cuisine and delicious entrees here. The charcuterie meat and cheese board was an excellent appetizer. Two of us enjoyed the flatbread pizzas - the crispy crust was exceptional. Two others enjoyed the pork chops. One had a nice pasta entree. Fortunately, there was a little room left to share an assortment of deserts. Our waiter was knowledgeable and professional without being obtrusively faux-friendly. All of us appreciated being able to converse easily even as the place was bustling. I don't think one can go wrong here.

They did a good job with large group & set menu. Staff friendly & helpful. Enjoyed apps & dessert the most!

Oh my goodness what a glorious spread of food Ecco presents. We were there for dinner with friends - including their two daughters 6 and 8 who, not incidentally, are budding chefs and gourmands! This was my first visit and I can hardly wait for the second. You may - read that must - begin by choosing from their elegant array of cured meats and cheeses, and don't ask me for a favorite for they all smote my palate in remarkably distinct yet complementary ways. Together with a marvelous Tuscan red wine selected by our server. And then it was on to anchovies and squid and beets and the finest of beef. And so it went through a chocolate dessert that brought dinner to an end and us to our knees in admiration for the kitchen and all that it offers. It is a lively, popular place and it reflects why Atlanta has become a world class restaurant destination. Make a reservation and go!

Mother’s Day Celebration; Easy Parking; Cheerful and Helpful staff; Clean and modern building; Flatbreads are yummy; but the fried Goat Cheese was almost as luscious as our desserts. The bass fish was also excellent. We were relieved that it was not overcrowded. Fell In Love with their innovative cocktails 🍸. Either the drink or desserts were called bee sting. Anyway—- the Botanical drink with flowers and sugar peas—- is the Bomb-Will return

Sometimes, you know the food at a restaurant is going to be amazing when you have someone like me say 'they had me at pommes frites'. Sort of like in the movie telling Jerry McGuire, "you had at hello". Now, how can I be serious about going to a restaurant for the french fries you say. Well, I'm damn serious and when you dip the very generous pile of perfectly fried potato's in the homemade MAYONNAISE, you will wanna slap yo momma. The fresh food here cooked to perfection has a range of palates to appeal to, from meats, cheeses, fish and pastas. You won't have any problem finding something to go with your fries. If those delicious morsels dipped in the side of mayo are not as amazing as I say, then tell them to charge them to me. I'm a bit of a wine snob btw. Last night, they had two red wines by the glass that are spectacular. One a Priorat from Spain, and the other a Valpolicella Ripasso from Italy. They are paying attention to details with these types of wines available by the glass. The only complaint is that the bartenders are very busy and it can be difficult to get service sitting at the bar. One of the managers caught wind of the backup and came to the rescue, thankfully. They should address this as we all know that when you need a cocktail, you need it quickly!

Went there during business trip for dinner with a colleague, after checking the nearby places in TripAdvisor. We where very surprised, clearly its ranking is not overstated. The food is amazing, very well prepared, presented and served. They also take care of the details. Definetely recommended, and I'm going back asap

We made a return visit to Ecco this trip to Atlanta as we loved it the first time. We have a tradition of Sunday steak nights and remembered how good the steak was our first visit. This visit was even better! Our waiter, Chris, assisted with an amazing wine recommendation and food selections. We started with grilled Octopus. I've never had octopus before and the grilled octopus appetizer was fresh tasting and delicious. We then tried the beet salad and an order of fried goat cheese. We all loved these. Since my husband loves pizza their special flat bread with roasted garlic and an egg on top was the one to try. It was really good. Our final selection was their special strip steak. This was the best strip steak we've ever had. Don't miss a visit here when in mid-town Atlanta.

I have no idea how this got less than a 5. This was just great. Even the kids loved the food. Bit out of the teenage comfort zone but still great. We had the parpadelle and the fried cheese and honey both amazing. Then Chef Brent Banda cam l we and recommended the poleta and raclette cheese with mushrooms. I am not sure what was better the conversation with the chef or the food itself. Don't miss this if you are in Atlanta.

One of the best Italian places in the city. IMO. We always get great service. The food is always executed well. And the service! Did I already mention that? The servers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they do. Ecco sets the bar high for other restaurants. We love this place.

Father in Law took the family there to dinner. Started with the fried goat cheese and it was as advertised. Good atmosphere. We ate early by reservation and place was filling up as we left. A variety of choices were served at the table and all 6 of us enjoyed our entrees. Stand out is the great service we had

We had a lovely dinner at Ecco. We visited for a birthday dinner and there were several special touches throughout the evening; for example, flowers and a card on the table when we arrived. We ordered several of the small plates to start. The fried goat cheese and patatas bravas were highlights! I ordered the pappardelle for an entree and it was excellent. The panini al latte for dessert was one of the best desserts we’ve ordered in a long time. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, an excellent meal at Ecco and we will definitely be back!

This was my first time eating at Ecco. It definitely will not be my last. The menu is a foodie's delight. There were classic dishes with flavorful twists. Our server recommended the perfect wine with our meal and we also tried the house made tequila - sip, don't shoot it! We started off with charcuterie, the hearth roasted shrimp (recommended by the hostess), and fried goat cheese for an appetizer. It was so good, I almost wanted to order that for my entree! I ordered a flatbread for my main course. I enjoyed it; it was crusty and flavorful, but nothing particularly noteworthy. The star of the show were the appetizers! Others in my group ordered the lamb shank and the ricotta gnocchi; they did not disappoint! Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Ecco is simply a great restaurant. You won't be disappointed. At $25 average for entrees, it compares to restaurants that cost twice as much. I went to Ecco with a large group for a business dinner. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. The dining room was a bit loud for our dinner, but the food and wine were both excellent and more than made up for it. The pappardelle pasta is amazing. I will definitely be back!

The food is the only reason to go here.. everything else was lackluster. From arrival the hostess couldn't even be bothered to look up to even give a nod for at least 7 minutes. Then after finally getting a table even though we had a reservation.. our server was sweet but was absent for most of the night. The duck breast was their saving grace! Everyone at our table loved the food. But then on the way out the valet said he didn't have enough $1's and took my $10 without ever offering any change even though it's only a $5 charge. I would have been happy to tip extra for the service but it should still be the customer's choice. Overall there are tons of other great restaurants in Midtown that actually want your business.

First, we were late due to circumstances beyond our control and they held our reservation for nearly 45 minutes. We walked in and were immediately seated. We had an engagement an hour later so we were time constrained. I never had to mention it, they did! We were eating in 15 minutes and check paid 45 minutes from arrival. In between we had amazing food and service. I highly recommend the goat cheese balls, market steak, and pommes frites. We will be back (hopefully often).

I have two major food allergies which often prevent me from venturing out to the world of restaurants since it takes me 3 days to recover if ingested, and in the meantime I am incapacitated... Gluten and Dairy.... with coconut coming in a more distant 3rd. My sister and I went to Ecco because it was recommended to us by someone we had met on our flight to Atlanta and because it was in the neighborhood in which we were staying...Midtown Atlanta. Our server went out of her way to ensure that I was able to safely eat the food offered. This was a lamb dish that was already gluten free but she spoke with the chef and made it completely dairy free. Not only did she write everything down and communicate thouroughly with the chef to ensure absolutely no dairy... including butter or ghee, but the chef personally delivered our meals to us and made sure that I/we liked the end result. Plus, for once in my life I could have dessert since they had an extremely delicious sorbet. My food was excellent... in taste and presentation. And I did not have any adverse reaction! I highly recommend this place. It is in a nice part of town and one has the option of inside seating or deck seating. My sister and I chose the deck and sat under a very large shade tree. Kudos to the staff for taking my allergies seriously and for making my stay in Atlanta so much better!

We stopped in for dinner on a layover through ATL. Our server was fantastic. She was immediately at our table taking drink orders and asking how tight our connection was. Drinks were then brought out and orders taken. We had pizzas, a pasta dish and a hamburger. All was good. It was fresh, nicely prepared and came out of the kitchen promptly. The place had lots of customers at the time so it seems efficient. The beer selection is good, with lots of microbrews. My wife was happy with the selection of wines available as well. This was a nice dining experience. I recommend ECCO if you are flying through ATL and would like some dinner.

Great food, service and atmosphere, but you pay for it. There were three of us for dinner. We ate what I would consider a very lite dinner. We had two small plates from the "Taste & Share" section and then for dinner, one of us ate an appetizer, with a side of roasted cauliflower. Another had a wood fired flatbread and the third had a rabbit pasta dish. We had a total of 7 drinks (4 glasses of white wine and 3 well bourbons) and the bill, with tip, was $222! Ouch. If you're on an expense account, go for it and enjoy. If you're paying personally, be prepared.

Great restaurant and wonderful service. We ate dinner on a busy Friday night. The front room of the restaurant was very noisy. When I mentioned to the hostess that my husband has a hearing problem, she immediately arranged to seat us in a quiet corner in the back room. (I am sorry I did not get her name.) Our waiter, Mike, clearly loves his job. He knows the menu intimately and was able to describe each dish and make recommendations. The food was terrific. We had one of the flatbreads and it was crisp and tasty but the real standouts were the pasta dishes. Our friend and I shared the one with crab and my husband had one with roasted mushrooms. Both were excellent. By sharing a flatbread and entree, we saved room for dessert and were glad we did. The olive oil ice cream and the pistachio ganache were a fitting end to a delightful meal.

Everything is really great here. Jen is A-1 when it comes to service she was superb. The fried goat cheese is a must have

A different occasion. We selected Ecco for a wedding rehearsal dinner for 45 people. This proved to be a great decision. A separate area at the far end of the restaurant was set up for our party. Three courses we pre-selected. Appetizers were on the tables when we arrived and two terrific wines were ready to be poured. Guests could select their entree. The favorites were Monkfish and 14oz. strip steak. The service was impeccable performed by 3-5 staff. Timing was perfect. Everyone's entree arrived at approximately the same time--each done to perfection. The simple green salad-perfect. If a quality restaurant can manage to our complete satisfaction a party of this size, it's clear why so many Atlanta regulars list Ecco as one of their favorite places. Count us among them.

A 38th anniversary choice! We'd been here years ago with fond memories. Great waiter, Chris, made our experience fun. But the lack of entree choices (only four) was disappointing. Instead there were lots of appetizers, flatbread pizza choices, and small plates. It felt like a happy hour place. We were seated in a cozy corner curved booth (romantic), but the ceiling began to drip on our seats from rain. Yikes! This brought the manager and lots of napkins. We persevered with the meal. My beet salad was the best I've ever had. My husbands bowl of leaf lettuce was - what? - a bowl of lettuce! Another disappointment. The great bottle of wine, good entrees (bronzini whole fish deboned tableside!) and tasty dessert made me wonder just what this restaurant is trying to be. Drinks? Or Dinner? High heels or sneakers? 39th anniversary will not be here next year.

Was at a meeting for the weekend in Midtown, and Ecco was a short walk away. Loved it. Sat at the bar and the service from the 2 very knowledgeable bartenders couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable atmosphere and the bartenders worked in tandem to make sure I was well taken care of. Had the house specialty Pappardelle with braised pork - outstanding. Also had the boquerones which were as good as in Italy.

We went to Ecco for a family birthday dinner. It was amazing. The pappardelle with braised pork was delicious. I would highly recommend it. The service is always impeccable. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta.

This was a birthday dinner. The waiter was great and attentive. The food and drink were very good. We would go again. ( I had Gnocchi, stuffed pepper with beef filling, my partner had the pasta with duck, cherry, cheese pasta. The gelato with olive oil was amazing)

On a Sunday night the restaurant was peaceful. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the cooking was excellent. I had pappardelle with ragu, and it was the real thing: broad noodles cooked just right, a tangy ragu that was easy on the tongue. The menu was off-putting at first, this "fusion" stuff can be a trap, but our waiter was glad to answer questions and what he said was true. The are not strictly speaking an Italian restaurant, rather a sort-of-Italian restaurant, but once we got going it was well worth it.

A lovely atmosphere, concerned and professional staff, coupled with a fun filled menu of tapas made this 2nd visit even better than the 1st. Great spot, wonderful dining.

Great location in Atlanta, the restaurant is very eye appealing. You walk into a modern space that has a great vibe. The food is very good and the portions are generous. The staff was very good, the wine was not over priced. The meat and cheese starters are great. We left feeling that the restaurant provided us great value

Nice surprise. Met a business associate here before the Falcons game in December. Although we didn’t actually sit in the dining area, the bar tables were extremely comfortable. Michael, the server was very knowledgeable and professional. The food was remarkable. Started with some drinks and a cheese plate. The plate , served with a couple types of ham, was incredible. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor seating , but we did take our drinks out after our meal. Overall very good experience and we will enjoy Ecco again.

I informed the waitress about an allergy one of us had and she then proceeded to tell us about 2 more entrees with this ingredient. She was not listening. I informed her again and was told, "Well don't order them". The New York strip was tough and had quite a bit of gristle. The redfish was ok.

Hopped on Marta, walked a couple of blocks and enjoyed a fabulous dinner. The simple green salad was amazing. Gnocchi with rabbit superb. Homemade ice cream was a perfect dessert. Dining at Ecco was highlight of visit to Atlanta.

Great wine selection, excellent cheeses and charcuterie. Both the bronzino and the pasta were up to Tuscan standards. Very high quality. Excellent service. Thank you for a great meal!

This was my second visit to this restaurant, both were business dinners. The experience was outstanding from start to finish. The bar and wait staff are all very helpful and friendly. This is a must stop if in the area.

Harold the waiter is very good if a little too exuberant describing the menu and a little too eager to please, which seemed too disingenuous. There was a group of us here in Atlanta on business. After the menus were removed, I told Harold I wanted a glass of the cabernet with dinner. )He later explained the vintage in exceeding detail, which I thought was over the top for a wine I wanted that was on the regular food/beverage menu. He then explained the manager would pour it for me, which again was kinda weird. When I got my bill, I saw I was poured a premium cab for $26 a glass that was not on the food/wine menu. Before entrees Harold asked: “Could I bring you all a couple of baskets of our focaccia bread?” “Sure,” we said, and those two baskets of bread ended up on the bill of someone else in our party. Harold made it sound they were complementary We were, however, given a complementary single serving of olive oil infused ice cream with 6 spoons. Food was delicious. Service was excellent if unnecessarily over the top but also included some very questionable tactics for padding the bill. Diners beware!!

Celebrated my birthday there with my husband. Great food and a good selection. Small plates and enters are large enough to share but we were not stuffed. Take the recommendation of your server. Wine list is vast and enough is offered by the glass to make a good pick. Only negative was we were seated right next to the "kitchen pass" so it was fairly loud. (pictured is the marinated baby beet salad)

Excellent food and outstanding service! We ordered several appetizers,cheese/meat plate and pasta dishes, they were served quickly, and were all delicious! Wine consultant was excellent, and the wine was properly decanted and served throughout entire meal. We will gladly return to this wonderful restaurant.

Good way to justfy those extra burpees. Fried goat cheese, spare ribs, frareek with calamari (sp). Lamb flatebread pizza, vegetarian pizza, were all very good. Great server with a sense of humor. Patio dining is perfect, but smallish. Decor inside was nice, and not at wait at 6:45.

Ordered the charcuterie, cheese and meat platter and it was as expected . I asked for the pork belly as a second course only to be told five minutes later that it was sold out 15 minutes ago. WTF-shouldn’t you know that? So I substituted the grilled shrimp. The grilled shrimp, arrived early while I was eating the cheese and meat charcuterie. I then asked for it to be re-fired when I was done with my first course . The shrimp was so salty I spit it out. Someone needs to tell the cooks to leave the salt shaker on the shelf.

We had dinner without reservations for a party of four after 9 pm and were treated well. We had appetizers and wine prior to dinner sitting outside then had pizza, spaghetti, and a nice lamb rib dish. Everyone enjoyed the food. A nice go-to place that is quite enough to carry on conversation.

Had a family birthday dinner here and some of us had been there before when it first opened and were less than overwhelmed. However, this visit was fantastic. Great service, super atmosphere and delicious food. Drinks weren't bad either. The only "slightly" negative thing was the desserts - over the top and just did not live up to the quality of the other menu items.

I was here a few month ago for a business dinner and really enjoyed the dishes. I had always wanted to bring my family here for a meal and it worked out well last weekend. The fried goat cheese was spectacular and I think we reordered it like 4 times!! The Branzini was very well prepared. The calamari was superb. I canny really pin down the style of cooking here but whatever it is is certainly very tasteful and sumptuous. I would go back on a heartbeat!

What a beautiful restaurant in midtown that is fun yet delicious! Had 4 different items and wine and each was exquisitely prepared. The wait staff is efficient, knowledgeable and professional. A delightful time and will definitely return.

Always a great time at Ecco. The atmosphere is the best quality of this restaurant. Very cool. Food and drinks are good too, but not the highlight. Service is outstanding.

We came here for a business dinner with a group of ten. Service was decent and the food was good but there was a significant delay in delivering all ten entree dishes simultaneously. It was a busy and packed night. We tried many appetizer and main dishes from dishes from calamari, oysters, pasta, pizza, chops and fish. Everyone was happy with their dishes.

Yes, it was Saturday night, and the place was packed; but the noise level was so high, a companion across the table and I had to lean to the center and speak loudly to talk. Monkfish was the fish selection. Service was great but everyone needs to be aware the noise really was a downer for a special evening out with a friend.

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary . The restaurant was close to our hotel and a friend recommended it . Our server Jeneva was amazing !!! She was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions patiently . She made recommendations and everything was awesome . We started with the fried goat cheese and quail . Both appetizers were delicious . My husband had the pork chop and I had the lamb pasta . Our meal was the best we have had in a while .

Since it opened, whenever I've had a significant layover in the Atlanta airport, I've always headed to Ecco in Terminal F. Yesterday (12/23/16) the experience was poor. I ordered a pasta dish and settled back to enjoy my glass of wine. The waiter brought bread - it was cold like it had come out of the refrigerator, and stale. Then not only was the pasta dish not delivered (after 45" and several inquires) but a chicken dish was brought instead. The waiter did not charge me for the chicken dish, but the glass of wine + the "included" 18% came to a bill of $20. I hate to give up this resource when traveling thru ATL but I am hesitant to have another experience like this.

Went here for a romantic dinner. It was a nice dinner of shared plates. The service was great and the food quite tasty. As has been said before fried goat cheese is not to be missed. Also had royal reds which were superb and the braised pork with pappardelle pasta. All very well done. Pasta hand made daily

Dishes recommended by many including the goat cheese you can't go wrong by. It's a lovely spot, beautiful at night with the lighting and service is impeccable. Extensive wine list but not enough staff education to help diners choose a bottle. Not noted on their site, menu is seasonal so not all the favorites or recommended items are available.

My husband and I dined here for dinner and were very impressed by our extremely charming, knowledgeable waiter. The atmosphere was very modern and chic, yet inviting. We enjoyed the homemade focaccia with carrot butter, the short rib appetizer, papparadelle pasta, and the seafood spaghetti. The portions were not overwhelming which we appreciated. If your looking for an upscale European restaurant, look no further than Ecco!

So I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place for families, however it was a great dinner. We came on a Tuesday for an early dinner with our 2 year old and 5 month old. The staff was great brought us a high chair and kids cup etc. We just felt a little awkward because the restaurant quickly filled up with the after work business crowd. Luckily we have a well behaved 2 year old whose used to eating out. The food was very good and the service was awesome, Christopher was our waiter and he was perfect.

Our party of two couples visited without a reservation on a Saturday evening. We were promptly accommodated and served. Starting with drinks specials we noted several interesting cocktails and tried a couple of the offerings. Very nice! Mine was a bourbon and ginger beer (can’t recall the name) that was great, very drinkable and tasty. We enjoyed a meat and cheese selections as an appetizer for the table. Nice choice as we all enjoyed our selections. We also added a small portion of mixed olives that proved very tasty. Main meals were very good. I enjoyed my lamb shank off the bone very much. Great taste! Not a real issue but I wondered at the volume of broth it was served with. Seems a bit too “soupy” in appearance but certainly no negative from the taste standpoint. Another entree was a flatbread pizza that was great. All main courses were very well prepared and enjoyed. We didn’t have time for d sweet so no comment there. Overall a very nice dining experience and we would certainly visit again.

Went to Ecco for our anniversary dinner prior to show at the Fox Theater. The server was kind enough to ask us upfront if we were on a timetable (i.e. going to the show) as I imagine this is a frequent thing for them. We told him we were and he was highly attentive to ensure we were done in time to walk to the Fox (12 minute walk). We tried the charcuterie plate - loved the selections (choose your meat and your cheese). Main entrees are limited - there are 4 options. My husband ordered the steak and I ordered the monkfish - both were delicious. Flavors were bold and fresh. Very nice beer and wine selection. We didn't have dessert but they have a nice selection of that too. Overall a very nice dinner, a bit pricey but it was a special occasion. The valet let us leave our car at Ecco until after the show, so we didn't have additional parking expense - nice bonus.

The quality, setting, service is all excellent. Few things make it less than excellent for me. Expensive valet (there is a $5 base fee + tip which makes it about 8 minimum), the choice set is low. Few options. One type of meat, 2 of fish, something else... I loved the new octopus-based appetizer. In general, portions are very quite small. In the end, it is an expensive restaurant and value for money low. Still, hard to go wrong overall.

My daughter and I went here for dinner prior to going to the Fox to see a Wicked this past weekend. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation, so we sat at the bar, where Chris, the bartender took very good care of us. While they were out of the rum needed to make the drink my daughter wanted (not sure why the drink is still on the menu), we each wound up enjoying a nice glass of wine. Once our table was ready, we experienced top rate service, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We shared appetizers and entrees. Everything was very, very good. If you go, have the lamb - it was cooked perfectly. All in all, this is a place I would go again. I would not, however, take my husband here. This is more of a "fru-fru" kind of place, whereas he is a pot roast and potatoes kind of eater.

We stopped by here on a Sunday evening and as it was early and the restaurant was not filled were able to sit outside. Reviews are good and we had high expectations therefore. The menu has a couple of interesting options and we opted for some starters; the fried goat cheese with honey, ribs and a flatbread with sausage. Drinks came on the table pretty quick and we were having a good time but as time passed were getting hungry ofcourse. Our waiter walked by multiple times but no indication why it was taking so long. Seriously; a 1/3 filled restaurant and you have to wait over a half an hour for starters. That's a joke. Worse was that waiter starts giving you an attitude when you wave him down; that's a no-go sir. Finally appetizers came out and I must say that the quality and taste was really good. That is why I am still giving an average instead of a poor review. But really get some speed going in that kitchen. We were still hungry but afraid as how long the main course would take we opted to just pay the bill and have this at a different place.

Wow! We had an amazing dinner at Ecco. We were excited to try something new so we read the reviews and weren’t disappointed. The bar tender was a outstanding and the service was fantastic from our waiter Harold. He went above and beyond with recommendations and details in every selection we made. The goat cheese appetizer is wonderful. This is a must if you are visiting. My partner and I both had pasta dishes and they were outstanding. The restaurant is just a few blocks and an easy walk to the Fox Theater. We will certainly be back soon.

This is a great Mediterranean restaurant with tapas style food. Great variety of choices on the menu. The quality of food was very good. Service was also very good and the atmosphere was excellent. I’m coming back!

I had not been to the ECCO Midtown location in a couple of years. But knowing how good ECCO in Midtown is from my past visits, I always make it a point to go to the Atlanta airport early enough to eat eat at the bar (and see Pops!!!) at ECCO in the International F Terminal. It was good to return to the Midtown mothership where everything has maintained the same high level of excellence. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Glad to hear a new ECCO Buckhead is coming to the Phipps Plaza area.

Our friends suggested Ecco for a place to dine after going to the ballet. It looks to be a fancy place but looks can be deceiving. For a starter we had the fried goat cheese which was delicious as well as the meat and cheese tray we had. The entree Ricotta gnocchi with a braised rabbit ragu was sub par and the chef should stick to the basics on this and try not to be so experimental. As for a cocktail don't get the Thursday in November it's a bit out there and ruins a good bourbon. Would I give this place a second chance sure maybe when they change their menu up. That's just my two cents you can form your own opinion though.

Brought my wife and my parents, who aren’t easy to please. Left the place just admiring their food and drinks. Parents don’t speak English but service was fantastic while menu were easy to understand. My dad still talks about this place

ECCO just got a grade of U from a health department inspection. This is so unacceptable in a restaurant and is frankly horrifying in a restaurant that has been around a long time like ECCO.

Ecco is in the international terminal on F concourse. The wait staff was very good and attentive. The food was adequate prepared and served. The standout favorite for the meal was the Fried Goat Cheese. The underperformed was the Steak Frites. Not because it was improperly cooked, just because it was seasoned in too many different directions. The fingerling potatoes and Baked Cauliflower were both very good. If you have the means, this is a very good place to eat before or after an international flight. The people watching is especially excellent.

Nice atmosphere. Accommodated my request to make one of the flatbreads into a vegetarian option, which was still very good. Waiter was very courteous. Tried the olive oil salted ice cream, interesting, but good!

Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night and we were ready for a good time. The ambiance of the entire restaurant feels very hip and cool. I love the big open kitchen and for such a large space I was expecting it to be noisier than it ended up being. I saw lots of reviews that list this as one of the best Italian restaurants in the city but I didn't really get a classical Italian vibe, just an easy Mediterranean vibe. I think this was one of the better drink menus during our trip. My wife loved the "long live the queen" (a gin drink)and I really enjoyed the sounds familiar(a whiskey drink). They had an extensive wine menu as well if you aren't in a cocktail mood. We found that we were more interested in the appetizers than the main entrees so we settled on a few different things. The goat cheese was great and so was the beat salad. We really didn't enjoy the boquerones flat bread. I'm ok with anchovies but these boring were too strong for me and just overpowered the dish. If you really love anchovies you might be ok, but it just didn't work for me or my wife. Overall we loved this place and would definitely come back.

Went for Valentine's Day and enjoyed our time. Staff is very friendly, courteous, and attentive, and the good great. The menu seemed to be a bit restricted and items on it were pricier than the airport location on concourse F (are there three days later). Atmosphere was vibrant but not intrusively noisy.

Had dinner there the other evening. They have a great selection of appetizers and whiskeys. My 2 favorite things. Try the deep fried goat cheese. It's was fantastic! Can't wait to try more menu items next time we're in town.

Between the cheese and meat tray, the appetizers, and the main course we had an outstanding dinner. Do note that this restaurant is expensive

I'd heard good things about Ecco, and it was in close proximity to the Fox Theatre (where I had a 7:30 p.m. curtain), so I figured I'd give it a shot. And, boy, was it a good idea! At the suggestion of my waiter, I started with the fried goat cheese. Oh. Em. Geeeee!! Think balls of goat cheese, which are doused in a light tempura batter, then flash fried. They are placed in a bowl, drizzled with honey, and dusted lightly with black pepper. I got other things (the grilled squid, the deeply satisfying walnut cake), but the fried goat cheese was the find of the night. Just scrumptious! Service was good, prices were pretty reasonable, and they got me out the door in plenty of time to make my show.

This was my first time at Ecco Midtown. The food was excellent, the menu options were unique and delicious. We had the wild trout and the Delmonico steak. The chef prepared a special dessert for my pops due to his dietary restrictions and it was phenomenal.

Tried to enjoy a business dinner here...while it is trendy and popular, it was impossible to have a conversation with anyone who was not sitting directly beside you. I think this venue would be perfect for small parties of three or four people. Tables are very close together - you got into "intimate" relationships with strangers just going to the bathroom. The food was okay, not outstanding. I would really love to try this again with a smaller party to see if the overall experience might be better. Honestly, by the end of the evening, I was ready to get out of there.

The food at Ecco is outstanding - fresh ingredients, exquisitely prepared, and delicious. The goat cheese balls were a great starter. The olive oil ice cream and green apple sorbet were the perfect finish. Our large party ordered many different entrees, and all of the food was outstanding. But it is the extraordinary service that makes dining at Ecco Modtown such an exceptional experience. The staff was attentive, professional, yet personable and friendly. Yes, it is expensive, but our special occasion turned into a memorable gathering.

We were in Atlanta to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and this restaurant was a 3 minute walk from our hotel and was highly rated on tripadvisor! Made the reservation weeks in advanced so we were seated immediately at a nice table. The waiter acknowledged our anniversary and for the rest of the evening, he was all business. The menu had a large selection of cured meats and cheeses and maybe the smallest selections of entrees that I have ever seen at an Italian restaurant - three pastas and four mains. The highly recommended fried goat cheese (honey & pepper) was good and my wife enjoyed the marinated baby beets. We were in the mood for pasta so she ordered the torchietti and I selected the pappardelle. Both were OK but nothing special. We looked at the dessert menu however nothing tempted us nor was an anniversary taste offered. We departed an went around the corner to Le Macaron where we had some tasty French macarons and gelato. When we were leaving, they handed us a small box of chocolates for our anniversary. We will remember their thoughtfulness!

Stopped by without knowing much about the restaurant. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and helped choose a great set of appetizers. The Risotto al Nero (with squid ink) was excellent!

I popped in for a quick bit at the bar and it was a very cool happening atmosphere. The bartender was an artist, a real mixologist! He made the best Espresso Martini I can remember. Everybody was very friendly and accommodating. The food was gourmet and presented on an eloquent manner. I am looking forward to bringing my wife for a romantic dinner in the bar area or maybe the patio.

What a find! Going to Ecco was the highlight of our extended weekend in Atlanta! We were in town for the college football championship game, GO IRISH, and as luck would have it possibly the luck of the Irish, our server Caroline was from Ireland! Caroline was outstanding in every way she recommended appetizers and entrées for all of us as well as drinks. After a couple of round of cocktails upon Caroline‘s recommendation, we tried the fried goat cheese with honey, which was delicious.. in addition we had the Burrata with prosciutto also wonderful with tons of olives on the side. They brought over a basket of crispy bread that worked great with our appetizers. For the entrées four chose the steak frites with salsa Verde, and raved about the portion and flavoring. A special entrée was prepared of pappardelle with marinara sauce, and everything was cooked to perfection loved the pappardelle especially because it was so el dente! Caroline checked on our table frequently as did everybody else from staff and patrons alike. We were at the first booth table number 20 and everybody in the restaurant seem to be having a great time. The vibe was terrific. I would absolutely go back.! We did not have any dessert, but we did manage to order a lovely bottle of champagne. While our team the fighting Irish of Notre Dame were not successful in bringing home a championship because of our experience in Ecco it was still a wonderful weekend.

WONDERFUL restaurant, central location, great food, service, bar. exceptionally good in every aspect of the dining experience. talented mixologists, great service, delicious food and wine, wonderful ambiance. dining here was one of the memorable parts of our trip.

Easy to make reservations, friendly confirmation call day of reservation, and wonderful customer service & quickly seated when we arrived earlier than expected. Atmosphere was sleek and trendy with cool chandeliers, wood tables, leather & suede booths, and open kitchen area. All staff was friendly and professional. Our server, Jared, was interactive and informative. He answered a variety of questions for us about menu options and made excellent suggestions regarding wine, cheese, and entrees. We selected three cheeses for an appetizer, the pasta with rabbit ragu, and the olive oil ice cream with chocolate & sea salt for dessert. All selections were delicious.

We took a guest out for dinner. What an amgarrissing night it was! All three of us ordered steak (costing around $60+) They served us the worst steak I have ever had in my life. Uncooked, chewy, we couldn't swallow the bites! In one word: "DISGUSTING!" None of us were able to eat teh steak and we asked they take them back. They came up with an excuse saying that the setaks were not cleaned properly by the butcher! Huh?? What is that supposed to mean?? You run an expensive restaurant. You cannot blame the butcher. The responsibility falls on you - the manager! They brougt us new steaks and nothing changed! What a rip off. Manager did not give any discount! The manager sent 2 scoops of ice cream to the table for free. Hahahaha! What a joke. We had to rely on frency fries for dinner. And even that one was extremely salty! The bill came around $350 for 3 people. Avoid this place at all cost! Overpriced! Noisy! Low quality food . Worst management! Never going back and will tell my friends to avoid this place, too.

Had a reservation made far in advance, so surprised to be seated way back in the corner by a curtain that visually blocked a large group but unfortunately, not the sound. Our server was inattentive and we waited a long time for a drink and appetizer order! The blistered sunchokes with romanesco sauce was very good, as were the fried goat cheese balls with honey & black pepper. The Georgia greens salad was boring, with just a few root vegetables and the lamb ribs were tasty but very small and difficult to eat. The Pappardell pasta with a pork ragu was mostly noodles, so just fair. Had better meals in Atlanta!

A friend and I ordered two apps and two entrees and loved every bite. My (vegan) lemon and black pepper pasta dish was mind-blowing - I'd never had anything so wonderful and so simple. The chef is amazing! Our server was delightful and attentive and the outdoor seating was divine. I could have sat there all night. Loved it.

Overall the food is very good but the fried goat cheese balls are amazing! They have a nice wine list and any kind of cocktail you want. I recommend you make a reservation as it gets busy on most week nights with the business crowd. Both the bartender and our service had great personalities and provided good service. I will go back again specifically for the goat cheese! The menu is a bit expensive but I think it was worth it. Great place to take a customer.

Nice restaurant in Midtown for dinner. The grilled octopus is a good appetizer to share. Mussels with frites were the best of our meal - the spicy Italian sausage. The very bitter rapini with the swordfish wasn’t tasty. The rigatoni was flavorful.

This is one of our favorite midtown restaurants. You will usually need a reservation but it is worth the wait. We love the menu, especially the charcuterie plate. You won't be disappointed.

We went as a group of professionals visiting Atlanta and could not have been more pleased! Service and cuisine were superb!! We will be back:)

We met a friend during an evening layover in Atlanta and he took us to Ecco on 7th St. Excellent choice for quality but we were surprised at the smaller portions after spending a few weeks on the Cayman islands. Being a British territory we were told portions would be small but ended up sharing most things. We assumed being back in the states that the portions would increase like at home but thats not the case here. The 3 of us shared a bunch of appetizers and a main course or two but not what I expected in quantity. Its not at all a complaint, just an observation. The margaritas were well made and our waiter did a fine job. We had reservations but customs took longer than expected so we arrived late. They were able to seat us right away. The building and atmosphere were relaxing yet trendy.

We made a reservation at their midtown location earlier this year. A condescending man who appeared to be the manager and another 'gentleman,' who eventually seated us, insisted on seating us at the corner of a near-empty bar-side of the restaurant. We told them that we prefered to sit on the deep side, where most clients were seated, but they claimed that the empty tables there were actually reserved , which later turned out to be a blatant lie. so we reluctantly agreed to be seated in that corner because we were hungry and too tired to be bothered with looking for another restaurant. We noticed that every table on our side was occupied by clients who were not of the caucasian persuasion, while the deeper-end was all caucation. I make a habit of always giving the benefit of the doubt, only the optics seemed somewhat fishy. Which leads us to the quality of the food.Disappointing at best. We are grateful to have been blessed with a history of having dineed in some of the most admired restaurants in European and US cities, so we know a thing or two about good food and good service, Unfortunately, Ecco, failed us in both departments. Fortunately, so many genuinely good restaurants have spread across the Atlanta landscape, that allow one to avoid bad choices that end up ruining one's evening.

The food and atmosphere were excellent, but the service was so slow that we gave up on any notion of desserts or dessert wines. The server was good, but clearly, he was overwhelmed without anyone to help. Think twice about going on a busy night.

Food was good. I had steak. It had a strange char on it but still tasted good. Others at the table were not a huge fan of the char. Fried goat cheese was a hit. The restaurant is a good scene

Last evening in Atlanta and moving. Great lamb chops and flat bread entries. All great and service excellent to match.

We were looking for a restaurant in Midtown, and picked Ecco. It is located on a quiet tree-lined street between two busy arteries of Atlanta. We sat on the patio, which was delightful. The food was really good, everything we ordered: Beet salad, lamb chops, lamb flatbread, and a terrific grilled cauliflower. Even the desert was special, a walnut cake/mousse. The waiter was fun, and helped with our choices. We will certainly return.

Had a great meal!!!! Highlight was the fried goat cheese drizzled with honey and pepper!!!!! Would highly recommend eating here.

There is a reason that Hollywood A-listers are regularly shutting this restaurant down for private events. Ecco is fresh and flavorful! They take farm-to-table a step further via a functioning rooftop garden right on top of the restaurant. The goat cheese balls are a must, the pizzas are refreshing and clean. If you can't get a table - no worries - the service in the bar area is equally good and the scene perhaps a little more vibrant.

When I made reservations for our Anniversary I specifically stated that it was our 18th Anniversary. We arrived and noted that it wasn’t busy at all. Based on reviews I figured this would be a romantic evening for us. Atmosphere was dull, there were people coming in with cut off shorts and T shirts. The food was delicious and our service was good, but no knowledge of our Anniversary was given. I regret making reservations and wouldn’t recommend anyone with a special occasion going.

We had high hopes for Ecco but I am sad to say it did not live up to our expectations. On the positive side, the service was good, the wine list very good, and the appetizers and salads were tasty. On the negative, the meals were nothing special as the fish was slightly dry, the flatbreads were very bland, and the overall cost of the meals relative to the quality was just not in line. The ambiance of Ecco is very good, and that and the service/wine made the night ok, but we all commented after we left that the meals left something to be desired.

I liked the relaxed yet sophisticated vibe and all of our food tasted great. Great service. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Have enjoyed Ecco plenty of times with the hubs but never a large group. 12 of us dined there as part of a business meeting this week. Our server, Nick, was on it. He gave me some coaching on ordering so I could avoid the terminal wait for apps and drinks that you sometimes suffer through with a large group. Everyone was thrilled with the selection and the noise level wasn't too bad - sure the folks on the ends couldn't talk across the entire table but it was easy to pull 4-5 folks into a conversation.

Never had fried goat cheese and pretty much changed my life. Served with honey and red pepper flakes gave it the perfect balance of hot and sweet. They were a little smaller than expected but we had no problem ordering more. Had the Rigatoni which was also delicious. Not to mention the extensive wine list. With all the restaurants in Midtown, we were very pleased with our decision to come here!

I deducted one point for the wine list in my overall rating. While the list is respectable in size and a good balance between European and US wines, there's not a lot of depth or good finds. They organize the wine list as "old" and "new" world styles, but in reality the distinction is location based instead of the actual structure of the wine. In the end, it reads more like a random sampling of an individual distributorship's offerings than a truly curated list. I didn't see any sommelier's on my visit, but the wines I did try at the suggestion of the wait staff did not live up to the billing. A "big" Cab that wasn't and a "new world" Syrah that completely lacked it's fruit. All that aside, the service was great, and struck the proper balance of attentiveness without being overbearing or interruptive. The food was excellent and well prepared. and everyone at the table had no complaints whatsoever. I had a prime NY Strip that was done to a perfect medium rare, and was well seasoned. The other item that really struck me was the salt roasted carrots. They were DELICIOUS and more akin to something I'd find on the west coast with strong ties to the farmer who supplies the produce (or in-house grown for that matter). I'd go back just for the carrots. They also have a Woodford Reserve bourbon that was produced exclusively for the restaurant group, which was quite good. Also worth a visit just to the bar if one's into bourbon. The atmosphere is subdued in terms of the ambiance of the space, but had a very lively crowd so it was a nice mix. It was classy without being pretentious.

We went here for business dinner. It was perfect. Amazing food, good bier, perfect gin tonic. But the best part was Stefanie. Sho does an incredible job.

On the night we arrived to a Midtown Hotel for Super Bowl weekend, we went for a walk and came across an interesting resturant called Ecco. It was very crowded but they found us a table in the bar area. There was an eclectic group of diners at the resturant. We started with a meat and cheese plate, which are sustained by the resturant themselves. My wife had scallops and I had the New York bone in steak. Everything was prepared as ordered and was excellent! They also have a wide selection of wines. The service was great and the bar area was very nice. The kitchen is open to the resturant which we find adds to the ambiance. We would definitely go back to this resturant as the menu had a variety of interesting selections!

Went here for business dinner and was not disappointed. The drinks were good, with a couple nice options like the Alexander Hamilton. Appetizers were small, but quite good. Particularly the goat cheese and peppers. We split several items as a table of 5. Prices were ok. A bit on higher side for portions, but certainly high quality and well prepared. Service could have been a bit better. There were a couple times that all of table needed a drink refresh and waited a few mins for wait staff to return. At this level/price range, normally expectations are the opposite. However, for sure will return.

We chose because it’s walkable to Fox Theatre (12 min). Service great but food mediocre. Shrimp mealy, we tasted cauliflower & left it. Dark atmosphere, moderately noisy.

AMAZING. This place is very cool and very professional when it comes to the food. I really liked what I ordered, the pizza here is DELICIOUS. Good wine selection and the atmosphere is very good. I recommend it.

Wow. Really cool place with exceptional cuisine. I had the pasta with pork and it was amazing. Great wine selection. Highly recommended.

My husband and I really enjoyed dessert and wine. The bartender was superb and had a great suggestion to please my husband and I both. We had the strudel for dessert and it was great. Ambiance is a bit dark but romantic.

Had dinner at Ecco last evening with my wife and daughter. The service was great and the food was good. I had the gnocchi, my wife had the monkfish and my daughter had the flatbread. We were all satisfied!

Fabulous food and service during our outdoor dining experience. The Irish woman (Caroline) was a pleasure and took every opportunity to ensure a perfect dining experience with attention to detail while creating an inviting atmosphere.

Excellent selection of Italian and Italian inspired dishes. Some unusual items (e.g., boar canelloni). Interesting cocktails. No complaints -- maybe one -- no real Italian desserts. Service excellent. This is a very popular place - you may need a reservation.

Our family loves to try new flavors and sharing small plates is a great way to do just that. Ecco has great cocktails and an extensive wine selection. We shared a charcuterie board, the fried goat cheese, grilled white Georgia shrimp, and the focaccia bread with hummus. All were delicious. They also bring sourdough bread with olive oil. The menu is limited for entrees with basically a steak, fish and duck the evening we were there. We chose the duck and fish. The fish was beautifully prepared and although meant for two, that might be a stretch unless you have had a few appetizers. It was delicious though. The other two at our table had the pasta with pork and a flatbread. Also delicious. The pasta is made in house and perfectly cooked. Desserts were inventive and so good. The service was excellent. The ambiance was high energy and cosmopolitan. The noise level did climb fairly high but didn’t distract from the evening. We would definitely return

I had to have a 2-hour meeting so stumbled across Ecco in the International Terminal at Atlanta Airport. The food was amazing and the main dishes were large portions (they don't differentiate between lunch and dinner, and they are certainly dinner sizes (and prices). The pasta with pork was wonderful, as was the most excellent pear tart.

Ecco appears on a lot of "favorites" lists in Atlanta. We enjoyed our food and wine (Brett did a nice job with suggestions). Goat cheese balls, salad, beef/steak, and dessert. Prices are a bit steep for the quality and portions. Best part was overall ambiance.

The best meal we had in Midtown. The spaghetti with crab, asparagus, ramps, and chilies was wonderful. Didn't think the combo would work so well, but I would be happy to go back just for this dish.

We come here all the time with family when they are in town. It's the go to spot. Always great! Great staff and atmosphere

We had a private party the night before a wedding. The service staff were excellent. The food/ appetizers were superb. The atmosphere was enjoyable.

This is our favorite place to eat when we stay in Midtown, or even downtown. We always make time for a meal here and this last one did not disappoint. From the expresso martinis to the encores thru to the desserts complimented with a great cabernet. The food is not the only thing that never disappoints...the staff is always incredibly polite, responsive and filled with suggestions. We've yet to have an experience where we left questioning a need to go back. Two things are a must: Fried Goat Cheese and Olive Oil Gelato!

A truly wonderful experience at this upscale Italian restaurant. If you expect a checkerboard red and white tablecloth restaurant serving just pasta, Pizza and lasagna forgeddaboutit. This is a fine dining venue with a unique menu. Decor and ambiance is excellent. Cheeses and meats drying on the rack in the wine cellar. Service is superior, wine list not overly large but very selective (and they serve Grappa (what we Sicilians call Italian moonshine) Small but delicious selection of Dolce (desserts— but no Cannoli’s in the menu) For a special evening out or just to have a wonderful dining experience then this is a must dine at restaurant
Bday celebration
The food was amazing. Thanks to our waitress Andre she made my husband bday special. The olive oil ice cream supreme. The food has a great quality i think the prices go with what your eating so if you thing theyre overprice go to Disney so you see what overprice means. There's nothing on that night that we didn't like everything was delicious.
