Wonderful service & exceptional seafood tower plus filets.

By jetgirltx |

We enjoyed sharing the delicious seafood tower, but your lobster tail was extremely small & the drawn butter very cold as was our asparagus. If you serve drawn butter, it needs to be on a warmer! We also enjoyed our filets cooked to perfection.

Wonderful family dinner

By jvosberg |

I took my three adult children here for a nice dinner. The service was top notch, the cocktails were well made, and the food was delicious! Perfect spot for a special occasion dinner.

Not as good this time

By PsychSanAntonio |

Seated quickly. Pleasant wait staff. Had cocktails. Limited high quality gins. Good crusty bread. A shrimp appetizer was tasty although shrimp were small (probably referred to as medium grade). Salad was hugh, even for two. Three in party had redfish with crab meat which was well cooked, tasty and very nice. First attempt at a swordfish was overcooked and dry. Second attempt was cooked well but had a strong fishy odor and didn't taste fresh. Chef came out to offer apology and said fish came in today (that of course doesn't mean it was fresh or had been appropriately shipped). For the price the fish should be of excellent quality and wasn't. They did remove cost of swordfish from bill and a manager came by to also apologize and ask if I wanted anything else. They handled issue well although it should not have happened (just a note I have had swordfish in this restaurant before).

An Excellent Celebration Dinner

By 927donaldv |

We enjoyed An Excellent Celebration Dinner. This place was amazing and we highly recommend it for a fine dining experience. Their appetizers, entree selection was wonderful and we had to make a few hard decisions. Plus their wine selection is great.

Best Bar for people watching

By jjferrcc84 |

Eddie Vs / Wildfish bar staff makes everyone feel welcome after a long day at the office. You can count on Sabre, Tommy, Aaron, Meagan and Chris to remember your name and favorite drink.

consistently good

By drugs2017 |

Have always enjoyed our meals here, whether for business or pleasure. Food is consistently good, especially the fish (obviously). Service has always been excellent. The only complaint is that it is noisy, sometimes so much so that you cannot even hear the people at your own table. Try sitting at the back on either side- less noisy. All in all, a very nice dining experience. Not sure what is going to happen as they will be changing their menu to be more like that of Eddie V's rather than Wildfish. However, have eaten at Eddie'Vs in Austin and La Jolla and they are truly great restaurants. So hopefully, the one here will be as good.

Apps & Drinks

By Rene M |

Food & Drinks were awesome so was the atmosphere and very lively, staff was the best. Not much more to say except that it’s pricey but worth the money.

Best seafood

By A J C |

By far this is the best seafood restaurant in San Antonio. Not cheap, but excellent none the less. The happy hour offers some great options too.

Just very good

By GraceAlone |

I have dined here many times. Under the Wildfish banner and the Eddie V's banner. Everything was very good with this visit - just not excellent.

My favorite spot for happy hour

By James A |

This is one of my absolute favorites. They have a very attentive staff and everything I have ordered has been great. The bartenders are very good and the happy hour is the best I have found in San Antonio. It’s pricy but if you can afford it you won’t be disappointed.

Best All Round

By tgates5 |

Spent a happy weekend evening sitting outside on a pleasant day. Cocktails artfully made...fine wine selection...great bar menu...this will be one of our regulars.

Good eats

By Harry M |

We tried the local restaurant in town after going to downtown austin locations a few times. It’s an older restaurant compared to the Austin location but the food is high quality. Crab cab was amazing and we had the lobster mashed potatoes for dinner along with ribeye steak. Steak was cooked just right and was so juicy especially once I added the peppercorn sauce. Drinks was delicious and also had got a free desert for her bday along with a card and a rose for her. Awesome experience and would definetly come back again.

Food is delish!

By neysd |

Fine dining as its best! The service is excellent as well. From appetizers to dessert, wine pairing is phenomenal!

Great Seafood

By dihue |

Went for Happy hour. Appetizers all good, Tuna, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Crab cake. The best is the Crab fried Rice. Outstanding dessert, the Bananas Foster and Hot Godiva Chocolate Cake.

We love the steak, the fish

By Jebb R |

We love the steak, the fish is awesome, the crab fried rice is wonderful, the bartenders do a wonderful job. The best dessert in the world is the pineapple upside down cake. I am leaving a negative review because of the blonde hair hostess. She is rude on the phone. She is completely rude and person. She needs to learn to be efficient with her time and seat paying customers quickly.

Love lobster

Loved this place everything more than excellent thanks for great service and good food we will return

Nice, but lost a step from its prime

By Doug1000NB |

Nice dinner with friends. Service was good. Dover sole was nice, .... but, priced at great. When this place originally opened as Wildfish, it was incredible. The re-start as Eddie V is nice, ........ But I still miss the original. It seems to have lost a step.

Yum

By Debra K |

Dropped by for dessert after shopping but found out you needed reservations, so we decided to just sit in the bar. Had the butterscotch creme brulee and the Italian birthday cake. All I can say is "oh my"!!! That was the best desserts we have ever had.

Great experience overall!

By tiffanyd972 |

Outstanding service- outstanding food!! Our waiter was very attentive. Suggested the oysters for us. The calamari was possibly the best I’ve ever had.... great wine and beer selection. Can’t wait to go back!!

Great Seafood

By Curt S |

My wife and I had a very nice Valentines dinner here. The bar has very good signature cocktails and my wife loved the Hope Diamond. She had the sole for dinner and loved it as did I. I had a filet which was perfectly cut with a blue cheese crust which was also very good. As a final touch, they gave my wife a rose at the end of the meal.

Outstanding but expensive.

By jpmfv@hotmail.com |

We love this place since it was called Wildfish. I think its the best or one of the best restaurants in SA. We are from Mexico but go here every trip, and every time is excellent. I ordered the crab filled shrimp and they were simply delicious. Asparagus are delicious also. Perfect place to have a drink too. I would recommend this place, anything you eat is perfect. One little problem it is one of the most expensive in SA, but really worth it.

Lots of People, Lots of Fun

By CiCi50 |

A great special occasions venue, but also a great place to socialize, unwind or enjoy a wonderful meal served by excellent and friendly staff; most recent visit was for a friend’s birthday celebration - the entire evening from bar service, to food & valet, was wonderful. Great ambiance, efficient & customer oriented, friendly staff, along with friends; current & newly made, created a fabulously memorable experience.

Great Seafood & Steaks!

By 45Cocojr |

This is a great ‘date night’ restaurant. Hubby and I come here for great seafood and great steaks. I had the special which was Texas Redfish in a sauce that was to die for! I had to ask for a spoon to scoop up all the goodness! Hubby had the 22oz. Bone-in ribeye. He said it was one of the most delicious steaks he’s ever had. It’s a bit expensive so we don’t come here too often. Great wine selection too! Ate there on Dec. 28, 2019

Best food in Austin so far!

By Michelle |

The best food I’ve tasted in Austin so far! Amazing restaurant, I’m so glad we went there! From the beginning the service is exceptional. Our waiter on Tuesday night at 8pm was absolutely great and took his job seriously. He catered to us! The kitchen had about 10-12 people cooking and several serving. Amazing! You might want to make a reservation just in case. We got in but it we just 2 of us.

Had to have seafood

By ClifMays |

We go to San Antonio for business and one of our party HAD to have seafood. We looked for seafood and steak, and found Eddie V's. We had the salmon cooked perfectly. The 22 oz rib eye was great and more food than expected. The scallop s were tastey. The service was some of the best we've experienced in this town. The manager was attentive and the waiter was always on top of things. It was crowded but the reservation worked without issue. We will definitely return.

Great Food and Great Service

By Chuckles |

We booked a large table to celebrate a recent marriage. The restaurant not only beautifully decorated table, but also they welcomed the couple with enthusiasm. To celebrate, we ordered the Big Eddie Seafood Tower as an appetizer, and it was more than worth the $125 charge for six people. The New York strip was flavorful and tender. The bone-in ribeye was cooked to a charred rare doneness as requested. The scallops were moist and flavorful. The desserts were outstanding. Throughout the evening, our server was attentive and considerate, and we could not have asked for more.

Excellent in all areas

By cmcdo75331 |

We had our belated Valentines Day dinner here. The service, drinks and food were excellent, as usual. Our waiter even personalized my entree order. It was amazing! Wildfish is our favorite restaurant.

Great food, excellent service

By TimV239 |

Had a wonderful dinner at this lovely restaurant. The food was very good. We enjoyed the oysters and lobster bisque appetizers, the steaks were excellent, and the Banana Foster and chocolate lava cake were delicious. The highlight of our meal, however was the excellent service by Michael C. He was extremely attentive and provided excellent service. He made our evening very memorable. Would definitely recommend!

Great food; great service!’

By James A |

Outstanding service; excellent food. Best lobster + best-ever lamb chop; was our anniversary; received nice hand-writing card and complementary 3-item desert with champagne.

Friendly service, tasty food and pleasant drinks. My wife and I enjoyed our times at this seafood restaurant. We will be back with 2 thumbs up and a smile.

Worth every penny

By Danielle Winn |

Lobster bisque blue point oysters awesome drinks steak medallions with lobster. Went for our anniversary they had exceptional service and food.

Nice evening

By Schifano55 |

It’s rare to find a restaurant that has both great seafood and steak options usually one leads and the other has a token selection. Not the case here . Best of both worlds !!

Beautiful restaurant!

By Clene97 |

I came here for a special event. We sat right by the front. The ambience was wonderful and so was the food! The service was wonderful from the appetizer, to the entree & dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion and mellow music for a peaceful evening.

Elegant Dining Experience with Amazing Seafood

By Ollie |

We visited Eddie V's restaurant to celebrate a birthday and we had an amazing dining experience. We were pleasantly greeted as we walked in the door and the outstanding service continued throughout the evening. Our server Brian did an outstanding job welcoming us and had a cheerful and pleasant demeanor which certainly enhanced our evening tremendously. He was attentive, thoughtful and timely with our requests. We began our dining experience with a complementary Chef inspired Lamb Cabob which was cooked to perfection and the flavor was truly amazing. The food was delicious starting with the appetizers, entrees and deserts. I would highly recommend dining at Eddie V's in San Antonio and plan to visit there again soon.

5 star

By Sharon E |

This is a fantastic place to go for an upscale seafood dinner. Happy Hour is full of professionals and they have a very reasonably priced small plate menu and drink specials. They make a great martini and the ahi tuna and crab cake appetizer is top notch. Thursday nights are very crowded with business professionals during happy hour. In good weather, the patio is a nice alternative for dinner.

Visited the night before the Texans game.

By Larry J |

Meals and service were great, drinks were very special, and the atmosphere is always great. My favorite wedge salad, full slices of good quality bacon... Awesome.

They serve farmed salmon which

By William |

They serve farmed salmon which is destroying the ocean waters in the North Atlantic. The fish are more often sick with disease. If you enjoy seafood, avoid places that serve farmed salmon. It is killing off wild fish stocks at an alarming rate.

All food fit from the sea

By AppleStud |

Very tasty foods. I loved my Hope Diamond drink. All enjoyed their choices. The scallops were especially tasty to me. The crab stuffed shrimp weren't my fave... sorry I loved the booth seating.

Best seafood restaurant ever

By Linda H |

I loved everything about this place! Crowded, but felt intimate. They made a special effort for my birthday with rose petals. Service was perfect as was the Chilean sea bass and the halibut!! The bananas foster for desert alone was worth the trip. Will definitely revisit the next time I’m in San Antonio.

Fantastic ambience, food & drinks!

By Nancynewton |

Love Eddie V's! Had the best Italian Prosecco and Italian Pinot Gris by the glass! Also the best mixed drink called the Hope Diamond! For dinner Sole and the best spinach ever! We drove 30 minutes to get there because it is so worth it! Wish we had one of these at home!

41st Anniversary Dinner

By ClarkJ55 |

We usually go to Wildfish (Eddie V’s) every year for our anniversary dinner. Always good food and service from the valet parking to the special anniversary dessert. We had the Sea Bass and the Swordfish which were both exceptional. The real deal was the Happy Hour which we enjoyed at the bar before bring seated. The drink prices and $1 oysters were outstanding. We probably won’t be back on a regular basis due to the cost, but we might be regulars at the happy hour.

Way More Than Happy Hour Oyster Bar

By Bruce B |

Our friends had a couple of visits for drinks but wanted a dinner opportunity. We joined them for a great dinner night. The manager was welcoming and we tasted a fine appetizer. Our menu choices were varied but seafood centered. The sole was excellent as was the branzino. The sides of lobster mashed potatoes and crab fried rice were meals on their own. Great take Gomes. We saved room for a very good creme brûlée. Worth another visit to the chain.

Classy with delicious steaks. Lovely atmosphere yummy dessert for birthdays. Ready for another visit

Another wonderful dinner!

By G0_Wild |

Six of us (three couples) dined at Eddie V's this last Sunday evening. Our server was Al. (My wife and I were served by Al on our first visit about 5 years ago) As always, Al was prompt, fun and very helpful to our group. The group had Wedge Salads, Cesar Salads, Lobster Bisque, Lobster Tails, Sole, Chilean Sea Bass and Filet Mignons. The sides were Au Gratin, Asparagus and Crab Fried Rice. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinners! Every dish at the table was raved about. It's not a budget dinning experience but in my opinion it is worth the price. Thanks to Eddie V's and Al for a wonderful dinner. We will be back!

Fresh Fish

By Maria09 |

This a a great place when you need a fish fix. Always fresh! Fun and lively with a great bar area. They have an amazing steak on the menu too.

Great experience!

By J. Foote |

Excellent service with a great menu. Food was terrific. Red fish was very tasty as well as the crab cakes. Steak Tartar was made at the table and was delicious!

Excellent for beef and seafood!

By rick r |

Wanting great beef steak? Hungering for excellent seafood? Well friends, both style of entree can be found under one roof at Eddie V's. This chain restaurant is found on 1604 and Heubner Road, midst a large retail and restaurant center, with plenty of parking all round the eatery. This is a very popular eatery, and dinner reservations are highly recommended. Entering, just past the hostess dais is found the large bar area, with seating at the bar, and off the bar with booths. There is a large dining area left of entry and right of entry, easily accommodating easily 40 tables or more! The ambience is lively, resounding with the conversations of the patrons. The clientele: casual to dressy. Wanting to take your beloved to a dressy date night? You will not be out of place dressed to the 9's!! Another observation: staff in black trousers and white vests, white table cloths. The image was of our experience at Geronimo's in Santa Fe, just a bit below the formality there. We were immediately seated at our appointed time, and immediately greeted by our wait staff. As usual, our preferred aperitif; the dirty Grey Goose martini. This offering definitely satisfied our thirst for the libation. Appetizer: the Eddie V crabcake, filled with the crustacean, but wanting just a bit more sauce, but notwithstanding, a happy appetizer. Marjan chose their filet, a 10 oz beast, easily twice the size of our usual protein. But this filet was perfectly prepared with sear that would satisfy any patron wanting that perfect Maillard reaction, seared, with rare interior. Just perfect. I chose the Eddie v sole: parmesan crusted, very generous thin plank of fish, the finned creature cooked perfectly. The danger of any fish is the overcook, giving the dry rubbery texture. Not so here! Kudos to the chef! As a side , we chose the potatoes au gratin, generous for two, served family style, cheesy and rich, and delicious. We paired our entrees with the Austin Hope cab for Marjan, and the Yealands sauvignon blanc for me, both recommended for the readers! So our impression for this eatery? Eddie V's is not an inexpensive dining experience, but given the outstanding service, the quality of their menu offerings, and the pleasing ambience and decor, we consider the value proposition deserving. Eddie V's is one of our "go to" restaurants, and can highly recommend to the reader. Enjoy!!

This Location Isn't What I'm Used To From EV's

By J E |

I like to sit at the bar when visiting Eddie V’s restaurants and truly am on a mission to try every one, so I was very happy to see there was one in San Antonio, when I went for business recently. The day I went, it was dead… I’ve never seen an EV’s so not busy. Service was initially very attentive and prompt, but that seemed to decline as I enjoyed my first glass of wine, as it appeared the bartenders were busy restocking and working on getting off, even though I think I arrived around 7 or 7:30. I started with my favorite shrimp Cocktail anywhere and it was just as awesome as it is at the other locations. I opted for their Texas Red Fish, as I’ve never seen this on the menu at other locations. It was just “OK.” It was very underwhelming and had a nasty vein of dark meat running through the middle that was inedible. Another item I always get is their crab fried rice, it’s usually the best fried rice anywhere! I wasn’t impressed with this preparation of it at all. Something about it, it just didn’t have the incredible flavor I’m used to. And the brussel sprouts had actual whole garlic cloves in it, not even sliced up… I found that to be odd, especially since I’ve gotten this before at other locations and don’t recall this being the way it’s prepared. I don’t recall getting waited on much in the last part of my time dining their that evening, so I requested the check, paid and left. I was going to return next week when I return for business again, but I’ll be going to Bob’s instead.

EXCEPTIONAL

By jld4243 |

I ate here as a guest of local folks who eat here often. I was impressed that they were warmly greeted by name. Our server introduced herself to me and warmly chatted with my friends. She knew their drink preferences, but checked to see if they wanted something different. Our cocktails were great and this was followed by wonderful food. I had salmon that was cooked to perfection. Nothing better to describe it. Perfect in every way. My friends had double appetizers. Their oysters were wonderful and both said that the crab cakes are the best they've ever eaten. I tasted the oysters - yum. I am gluten intolerent and could not taste the crab cakes, but they looked great. I would definitely eat here again, when in San Antonio.

Great food and service for anniversary dinner!

By Carol R |

Enjoyed a memorable 56th anniversary dinner here. My husband chose salmon and I had seabass as an entree. We shared a salad and ordered a side of brussel sprouts. The service was excellent and food was delicious. We have been here a number of times and knew that we would have another great experience.

Great food

By Karen S |

If you don’t mind the noise- Wildfish is the place to go for great seafood- you can never go wrong with the sea bass!!

Favorite Restaurant

By Tina B |

I absolutely love Eddie V's. Used to visit frequently when I lived in Chicago. Now visiting San Antonio so decided to visit here too. Lobster Tacos are the best and I would not visit without having them. Crab Fried Rice is also really good but can be a bit salty at times. Steaks and crab cakes are also good.

Date night WOW!!!

By psychdoc00 |

Went to Wildfish (now Eddie V’s) last night for date night and WOW!! Started off a little rocky as we still hadn’t been seated for our 6:30 reservation by 7PM and were starting to get a little hangry... however, they MORE than made up for it!! Gave us an app (the amazing tuna tartare with citrus), champagne, AND dessert on the house... really went over and above to make sure we were happy. Honestly, even if they hadn’t done that, everything was so amazing we would have been happy 🙂. We went with the restaurant week menu, and had a watermelon Gazpacho amuse buche that was light and refreshing, followed by the crispy shrimp and the lobster bisque, both delicious, the lobster bisque in particular was amazing with a giant claw right on top! And then we both agreed that the Chilean Seabass in a soy ginger broth was one of the best fish dishes we have had! It melted in your mouth! And the crab fried rice was also fantastic, with a very generous amount of crab meat. We then had EVERY desert, including bananas foster cake flambéed table side, which was my husband’s favorite, and pineapple cake flambéed tableside, which was my favorite! We also had butterscotch panna cotta and molten chocolate cake, which were both also very good. We finished with the smoked old fashioned, which was a perfect cocktail. Another notable cocktail was the Gatsby Sour made with bourbon, Cabernet, lemon and angostura bitters... it was beautiful! Finally, our server team of Alex and Marco really made the whole experience. Friendly, accommodating, professional, attentive without being intrusive, and never stuffy! Alex in particular really seems to love his job and taking care of his customers! Final recommendation... if you’re looking for a swanky date night... or just really, REALLY good fresh seafood... Eddie V’s Wildfish is PERFECT!!

Awesome selection on the variety of foods on the menu. Great atmosphere with very friendious and Courteous workers.

Nothing but the Best !

By Ron H |

We always expect high quality and good service at Eddie V's, but this time thanks to Stephen aka: Busto we had a wonderful experience. Basically, he said to our group of 4, how about me just planning this meal and y'all just sit back and enjoy. We were presented a Family Style meal, that included: Steak, Shrimp & Crab. WoW! And I think the final bill was less than if we had ordered off the menu. Even one of the Managers came by to check on us and stated that we appreciate your business, always good when they go out of the way to talk to the patrons. Can't wait to get back over there, especially if Stephen is working that day.

Very Good Seafood

By Russell |

I really liked the atmosphere and food! I have the Ahi Tuna and fried rice with crab meat. I recommend both 100 percent!

Great Place for an Anniversary dinner!

By PanSanAntonio_Texas |

The service was excellent. The crab cakes are the best I've ever had! My wife and I will be back for sure.

Attention to detail for a memorable experience

By lavagirl09 |

For several years, Eddie V’s has been our “go to” restaurant to celebrate special occasions. We have celebrated many occasions across the country including EV’s in La Jolla (with an ocean view). And yet we were surprised that at 5:30 pm on a Sunday, EV’s parking lot in San Antonio was full. Really? But after a wonderful evening, we understood the reason for the many cars. All the variables were in place. My parmesan crusted lemon sole was delicious. Maddie, our server was attentive. But the highlight of the evening was visiting with the manager, Mike Glackin. Mike stopped by our rose petal strewn table to welcome us and wish us a Happy Anniversary. He was so personable and made us feel very special. Mike has an eye for detail and made sure that the food, the service, and the atmosphere combined to create yet another wonderful celebratory evening at Eddie V’s. Thanks, Mike and Maddie.

Okay place

By R13R |

A little bit of salt in the boiling water for the lobsters would do it. Totally tasteless. Oysters and shrimps phenomenal. The fish dishes are awesome. If you put a flame on a carajillo all the alcohol is gone. Looks nice but doesn’t make sense too me. Great service

Everything we had was great

By Wendy W |

Like most reviews here, we had a delicious and enjoyable meal. The server was attentive and friendly. He even made up a meal for me based on what I wanted. Just know that with an appetizer and a couple drinks, you're looking at over $100 per person.

Terrible

By Elsa M |

Too crowded despite living times of Covid and variants… everybody went in and out without a mask. The place is very noisy. The acoustics terrible…. The food is not good at all. The service has no experience…

Incredible! Best meal in San Antonio by far.

By Sassy0148 |

Can’t say enough good things about the food! We had appetizers of crab cake, lobster tacos, and fresh oysters. Main courses were filet mignon and Branzino. Sides were Parmesan potatoes and sautéed spinach. Finished with chocolate molten cake and ice cream. Every bite was better than the last. Even the bread was great. Steven, our waiter was wonderful. He made our evening.

Good but not great

By 01ritz |

The oysters were FAB. The lobster bisque.. good but not great. Not hot enough. Steaks are yummy just very salty IMO. Everything is Al a carte so be prepared. Drinks were good. Didn’t have dessert. Wasn’t my favorite restaurant in San Antonio but good.

Below Average Food and Service

By Carlos F |

I gave high marks on my last visit but unfortunately not this time. We decided not to come back. Went there with my wife for a birthday celebration and we were rush through dinner; we did not appreciate that for a high dollar restaurant. Everything seems a little overpriced for what we got. The sashimi appetizer was very small and too much heat was added making it almost unpleasant. We both ordered seared scallops but there was not cohesiveness to the ingredients. The Crème Brûlée was very disappointing: no Crème no Brûlée. It tasted like something out of a package. Ambiance was not what you would expect; tables were crammed together to fit more guests. Two star!

One of the best steaks in town!

By Jbshooter |

I go at least six times a year and I cant help but to order the ribeye. Its always perfectly cooked amd the seafood, wow. Great olace to eat great food and drinks. Its a little pricey but well worth it!!!

Wildfish Cafe

By Leslie B |

Lovely place. If you don't like noise this is not the place to go. From happy hour through dinner you have to shout across the table. However it is fun if you can get there early enough to get a table at the bar try to do that. And enjoy yourself.

Wonderful seafood!!!

By Debbie L |

I truly love this restaurant. I highly recommend the redfish with lump crab on it. It is delicious. Drinks and service are fantastic. The only thing I was disappointed in was the steak tartar.

Definitely going back

By KZlovestotravel |

Was very impressed with this restaurant-the panna cotta for dessert was literally the best I’ve ever had. Every other dish was just as good...get the Mac and cheese for a side dish-yummy!! Filet was cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to return.

Awesome Seafood

By Eric R |

My friend and I ate here for dinner … this week and next they are running a weekly dinner…$55 for a set 3 course meal. Normally about $80 without drinks. We had Lobster Bisque, salt and pepper shrimp, Chilean Sea Bass, Norwegian Salmon and Bananas Foster. All were absolutely fabulous. Fish was cooked to perfection. Service was flawless and great ambience. Packed full at 6pm on a Thursday. Make a reservation. You won’t regret it!!

Best restaurant in San Antonio hands down!

By Lux_Traveler |

This is by far and away the best restaurant we have eaten at here in San Antonio. We have been looking for an alternative the Tower of America’s as it is a nice view but the food is not top notch. Eddie V’s is upscale, classy, top notch. The service here, well it was just outstanding, the food, amazing, the atmosphere, very upscale. If you have not been here you need to get here because overall there is not a better restaurant we have been to in San Antonio.

Romantic Birthday Dinner

By Karen R |

Outstanding service and the freshest seafood. The Maryland crab cakes were the best ever. I highly recommend this restaurant for adults for any special occasion.

SIMPLY THE BEST!!

By cgmz2018 |

My wife and I go here every year to celebrate our anniversary, birthdays, and other special occasions. I have to offer that their steaks are top-notch, as well as the service and ambience. I look forward to our next visit - as it just doesn't get better than this.

Best Cucumber Martini

By V3606LDsharons |

I’d heard they had the best cucumber martini and I was not disappointed. Start your dinner at the bar with the martini and a dozen oysters. I couldn’t believe how great the filet and truffle Mac was too. Food coma followed!

Anniversary

By Robert M |

We love to go to Eddie V's on our wedding anniversary. The staff is always so thoughtful during our special day and the food is unmatched.

Great Place (Just Don't Be in a Hurry)

By Laura B |

The meal we had last Sunday evening was delicious. My husband started off with the lobster bisque and then we shared the Morel-crusted lamb chops that were grilled perfectly, the crab fried rice and the grilled asparagus. The portions are very large enough for 2-4 people. Next time it's the crab fried rice that I won't share with anybody! Michael, our waiter, was very professional and even though the restaurant was very crowded, he managed our table of 6 with ease. Don't be in a rush because it did take us quite awhile to get served. When we were seated he did ask if we had movie times or theater times that we needed to go to.

Great experience

By micah517 |

Great atmosphere and customer service, by far one of the best restaurants I have been to! I will be sure to visit again and recommend to family and friends!

Nice atmosphere for date nights.

By Irene B |

The food is always consistently good! Good for a relaxing date or couple of friends- save room for dessert

ALWAYS OUTSTANDING

By Daryl H |

Eddie V's San Antonio location consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience. Delicious chef inspired entrees, well chilled cocktails and extensive wine list combine to make your visit one to remember. Tonight we decided on an all seafood meal and it did not disappoint. I had the glazed salmon, and my wife had the scallops. Both were delicious, cooked to perfection and served with style. The shrimp cocktail, as always, was just perfect. The Godiva chocolate dessert was super yummy. All Covid protocols are being observed throughout the restaurant. Lots of convenient complimentary off-street parking. Reservations are strongly recommend during Covid. Highly recommended!

Chaka Guacha

By BellSA2014 |

This was an outstanding experience. We started with the salad bar. It was amazing. There were so many choices that we could have filled up on that alone. Then the meats and sides arrived. There was plenty of meat to choose from and it was all delicious. This was a great experience.

After Dinner drinks

By cramer513 |

Stopped in for after dinner drinks. Bar was packed but finally got a table. Drinks were expensive and overpriced for what we had. It is normally a good place but I recommend going during happy hour.

Perfect

By slovette2002 |

Wonderful in every way. Best in Texas, value for the meal. Couldn’t ask for better even if in the coast. In the land of beer and tacos this hit the spot.

Saturday night date with daughter

By Marion W |

Saturday night date with daughter. This was my first time at the San Antonio location. It was wonderful, the service was excellent and the food was marvelous.

Amazing Seafood and Service

By MkShel |

Wild fish does not disappoint! Service was amazing, waiter had amazing recommendations for drinks and dinner! Fish was prepared perfectly!

Always a great meal

By DownVegasTown |

We've been a regular customer for many years when the name was Wild Fish. Still the same company and management. Normally we go during happy hour and order appetizers but have also ordered from the menu many times. Food is always great as is the service.

San Antonio’s Eddie V’s

By Jrbolstertoo |

This restaurant is owned by Darden and has the exact same menu as Eddie V’s which is not a bad thing. Great service and superb seafood. Great bar. The butterfish and redfish entree were awesome.

Changed since my last visit

By Elizabeth W |

I enjoyed the happy hour menu and drink selections. Really enjoyed the fact that the music had been turned down and we could have a conversation without having to shout at each other. The wait staff was excellent!

Our new favorite!

By SKFM |

Recently visited WildFish Seafood and had a fantastic evening. Two of our party ordered fish/seafood, one ordered steak, and another ordered vegetarian. All four entrees were perfectly cooked and presented. Our appetizer, salads, and sides were also impeccably prepared. We were celebrating a birthday, and the birthday boy received a complimentary dessert from the restaurant. Our server, Jake, did a wonderful job -- took great care of us without hovering. We've visited most of the fine dining restaurants in San Antonio, and this is definitely our new favorite -- something for everyone without having to deal with the hassle of going downtown.

Great Christmas Eve dinner

By FiveDivers |

Have been coming here since they opened. Always good food and great service. Family of five grownups had excellent meals for about $300. Great variety of fish. Service is unmatched.

Great Steak and Seafood

By Israel |

The fillet at Eddie V's was excellent. I went with a a group of colleagues and all of the 15 people raved about their experience. The cocktails, steak, and seafood were all on point. Definitely going back.

Can’t say enough about our server Amber!

By Dawn L |

We visited Eddie V’s off of the recommendation of a friend who dined there a couple weeks earlier and I’m so glad we did! Right from the start, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food, absolutely delicious! The scallops in the brown butter sauce will be something I crave for a while! But what made our night out was our waitress Amber! She was an incredible server, funny, engaging, and literally elevated our experience! We truly appreciated all she did for us to make our experience great!

Amazing food and customer service!

By M J |

I was in San Antonio with my hubby for a surgery. Our 49th wedding anniversary came the day before we were to fly home and we wanted to celebrate with a special meal. We could not have been more pleased with the food and service. We needed to have the food delivered to our hotel and weren't sure how to accomplish that. Wow - we called the Wildfish Seafood Grille and received very special customer service from Brian, who suggested items that would travel well and pair well. Shrimp cocktail (giant succulent shrimp), Heirloom tomato salad (the mozzarella was to die for!), Halibut (so tasty and perfectly cooked), Asparagus, Crab fried rice (so yummy!). We shared everything and the chef split the orders in the kitchen making it so easy for us. Everything was wonderful! We really appreciated Brian's care and expertise. He included a free dessert for our anniversary - we chose the Creme Brulee (delish!!). He suggested how we could have the food delivered (Favor) and it worked out well. As you can tell, I can't say enough to recommend this place. It was a memorable experience and a very Happy Anniversary treat!

Anniversary Dinner

By Jmes C |

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The table was prepared with a line of rose petals to commemorate the occasion. Their very best server, Ken, was on duty to guide us through the six courses. Each was undeniably the best we have ever experienced. It was an amazing dinner. I would recommend Eddie V's to everyone.

Just barely okay

By Adam |

First, we waited over 45 minutes with a reservation. The service was horrendous and the food was mediocre at best. Misrepresentations of their drinks were noted as well. Dessert tasted like a chocolate lava cake from Domino's, but took over thirty minutes to get it. Will never go back. Expensive mediocre junk.

This restaurant is a must!

By Bethany N |

Brian C. Was our waiter and he was awesome, but really everyone there served us so well and were so incredibly kind and enjoyable. They made the experience incredible! The food was so insanely good there is not one thing we didn’t just gush over. Highly highly recommend! It’s worth it!!

AWESOME CELEBRATION

By Mobile687381 |

Thank you to the staff of Eddie's V's... Wonderful service from start to finish. We started with a bottle of wine with delicious bread. The butter was whipped...so good. We then had their shrimp cocktail...the BEST ever. They were LARGE and FRESH with great condiments. SPECTACULAR... Eddie V's is definitely our new favorite CLASSIC restaurant. Many Thanks for your good food, great atmosphere and wonderful kind staff.

The Seabass is the best I've ever had!

By Kevin G |

You should get the Seabass!!! Full Stop. Goes great with the Au Gratin potatoes, & carrots too. :-) Best I've ever had...

Lunch/Brunch

By Philip J |

Went for Lunch, had happy hour menu which was light but not bad at all. I will return again and will refer to others.

Wonderful Birthday meal!

By 20SpursFan |

Celebrated my birthday here last night. Excellent meal and service. Zach was a very attentive server and made us feel welcomed. Always nice when the server appears to enjoy their job. We ordered the two specials planning to share. We told him this when we ordered. The kitchen delivered the meals already divided out on separate plates so flavors wouldn't be combined. Above and beyond what we would have expected. I then had a complimentry birthday dessert sampler plate. So nice! Oh, also received a lovely red rose. Second time we've had an excellent experience here in the last two months. Service and food on par with Las Vegas restaurants.Actually San Antonio service is a little friendlier! Thanks for for an excellent dinning experience.

Superb, but expensive

By Petethekid |

This place is great, but you’ll drop $100 per person (at least). We had the lobster tacos for appetizer (to die for), red fish and sea bass for entrees (all super), Brussels sprouts, Mac & cheese and rice with lump crab for sides and bananas foster (OMG fantastic) for desert. They also have a nice wine selection with wines of various prices. We had a great time. Great food. One in our party said it was one of the best meals he’d ever had.

Fantastic birthday dinner!

By Comelona1228 |

Absolutely the best experience at this restaurant and in San Antonio this year! We came to celebrate a birthday and the staff had a hand written birthday card placed on our table, and Birthday confetti! It was very welcoming .🎁🎉🎂 Our server Zach was very attentive and helpful, he recommended a wine for our appetizers and it was perfect. Our main entrée were fantastic! Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly too! We really enjoyed our time, it was a very memorable experience!

Delicious as usual

By Nickey J |

I ordered the salmon and it was delicious and very savory. My colleagues ordered steak and they were just as satisfied with their selection as well.

Favorite!

By Alicia L |

I choose this restaurant to celebrate "special occasions". It is one of my favorites. The menu, the happy hour, the service, the atmosphere... the Chilean bass is to die for... the Brussels sprouts are delicious...the cosmos... I can become addicted... I highly recommend it . They have valet parking which is super convenient. The restaurant is a beautiful building so the whole package is just perfect.

Exquisite

By Andrea H |

No matter the choice, you won’t be disappointed. From the staff to the ambience, you’re sure to be pleased. Great food at great prices!

Great seafood

By MikeHo711 |

This is one of the best restaurants in SAT for seafood. We especially enjoy eating outside - much quieter than inside. Their happy hour is special and the raw bar is out-of-this-world. Sit at the raw bar and it will be a special experience.

Date night at Wildfish

By Daryn P |

Always awesome! We sat at the raw bar and Alex took care of us as always. He prepared 16 raw east coast oysters for ya that were amazing. We followed that with the signature tuna tartare and delicious yellowtail sashimi. Finished our night with the scrumptious crab fried rice. Had an amazing cocktail too! Try the Sparkling Ruby. You won’t be sorry!

Special

By CEO |

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner at this restaurant. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient. We were greeted and seated promptly as soon as they verified our reservation. The dining area includes a bar in the center. It is clean, nicely decorated, and tables are well spaced. We started with lobster tacos, which were amazing. Salads were warm goat cheese and burrata. Ingredients were fresh, and servings were just right. Our mains were filet mignon, branzino, and lamb chops. All were tasty and cooked perfectly. We were glad to have saved room for dessert - the warm chocolate cake and lemon tart were simply delicious. Service was outstanding. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. He gave us time to get settled in and go over the menu. We did not feel rushed between courses. His timing was perfect. Dishes were cleared, and wine/water glasses were refilled as needed. He did a great job on this busy evening. There is ample parking around the restaurant. Valet parking is available, too. It is a nice place to enjoy good food and service.

The food was great!

By Oliva |

We were sat in a timely manner and didn't have the most pleasant waiter. However, we still enjoyed our entire night, our drinks were awesome, and our meals did not disappoint. We tried an old fashion and their mango mule. Both drinks hit the spot. We tried the calamari for our appetizer and it was delicious! If I could say anything bad about this place it wouldn't be the price, but the waiters demeanor and lack of enthusiasm. We observed several other waiters and waitresses who were very interactive with their tables. Other than that the experience was good and I'd still return again. Maybe the waiter had a bad day and that's alright.

The best meal I have ever had!

By Thomas H |

I was expecting a good meal when We entered this establishment - linen table clothes, wait staff in white jackets, top of the line table ware. When I took my first bite of the bread, I suspected I may have underestimated the quality of my meal. After the first bite of my meal, I sat still as I savored the delight of this experience. I was treated as if I was a family member long-unseen and in town for a short visit. The cost is more than a "casual" restaurant, but much less than the quality (of food and service) would lead one to believe. I found my new "Favorite" restaurant - and that is saying something for an up-and-coming foodie town like San Antonio.

Outstanding Food and Service

By Peter S |

Best fresh seafood in town. The seafood tower is amazing. Great happy hour specials too! We had a birthday gathering there and the service was superb.

Delicious seafood

By markhogan81 |

Wildfish is an outstanding restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. The seafood is superb and the steaks are very good also. They also have a wonderful room for up to 25 people for meetings and events.

Excellent seefood

By gregun |

We were welcomed by a friendly drecptionist and taken to the table. Service was fast and efficielnt and the food excellent. We'll be back.

Highly recommend

By Janet S |

I have been coming to this place for several years and they never disappoint. From the hostess stand to Alex at the Oyster Bar, who is fantastic by the way. Always friendly and happy. Watching him create each plate with such care. To Greg our favorite waiter who takes excellent care of us. Always knows what we like but still tries to keep us on our toes with new ideas. To the whole management team. They always come by and say hello. We have tried many things on the menu and all are amazing. Great seafood of course, but definitely should try their steaks one time. They have a really good Happy Hour also.

Seafood is not great in texas but it sure is here

By Janice |

Of all the seafood restaurants we have visited, this on is by far the best and the entrees are perfect. The variety of food on the menu is great. Everything is absolutely fantastic.

we go here at least once a month

By Greg G |

we have been going to Eddie V's since it opened as Wild Fish. We have never been disappointed in the food, the wine, or the service. We were there this past Saturday, I had the Ahi Tuna, my wife had fish with a crab butter sauce. We share a nice bottle of Chardonnay. Our server, Rae, is our favorite, and we ask for her tables each time we come in. There is always a manager walking around, asking customers to make sure everything is to their satisfaction. When the name changed, we were afraid the quality of the restaurant would change, but that did not happen, and we will keep coming back on a regular schedule.

The Place to go in SA for Fine Seafood

By TahoegpSA |

Excellent as always. Great place for a special occasion or just a nice evening out. We were having a birthday dinner. Lobster Tacos were a nice starter with generous pieces of Maine Lobster. The Texas Redfish was delicious. Sides are more than sufficient for sharing. Eddie V’s provided a nice birthday treat to finish the meal.

Great food, fun atmosphere

By badboyjim13 |

The food, ambiance, location, staff were all very good. You get good value for what you get in food and service. The location is very convenient, the only thing that stopped this vist from being a perfect rating was the parking was horrendous, we had to ride around for about 5-20 minutes as the clutter of cars in and out settled down to manuver, if you have or make reservations give yourself the extra time to park and get inside, other then that it was very good overall.

Great Srvice and Those Special Touches

By TahoegpSA |

Eddie V's Prime Seafood (formerly Wildfish) is one of the best dining experiences in San Antonio. They know how to do it right.... Service is excellent without being intrusive. Nice presentation and the food is always done to perfection.. Great place for special occasions. Let them know in advance and they will make it even more special.

Baked Cod was awesome!

By Katherine L |

I went here with a friend during Restaurant Week. We both had the cod and it was delicious. Their sides are great and they have a sufficient variety. Service was excellent. Valet parking is available. Very nice place!!

Wildfish used to have good portions--disappointed

By Keith S |

I loved this place before the Eddie V's title. It was expensive; but had great portions and great food. But now--very expensive with extremely small portions--had to go home and eat to be satisfied. The appetizer was one bite--but it was good. The caesar salad was mediocre at best, very small portion. The swordfish was good but bland, the asparagus was fine. The "Fosters'" desert was delicious--good portion. The service was adequate to good. $135--worth about $65.

Wedding Anniversary Dinner

By JeminiQueen |

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. We picked Eddie Vs. I love this area of town. We made reservations. Upon arrival we were seated right away at a special reserved table with rose pedals on the table. ❤️ From start to finish everything was great. Even when they overcooked my steak the manager came to our table to let us know that they were cooking another and my meal was on the house. They discovered the steak situation before it even got to our table. I thought that was extremely nice because some places would just bring out overcooked or undercooked meat. They gave us complimentary 🍾 as well to help celebrate the special occasion and free desserts. The whole experience was just A++++. Waitress was extremely polite and professional. I would definitely dine here again. All the little special touches that they provided were so great. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion this is the place. The have valet parking as well.

Wonderful

By tempted_44 |

We enjoyed just about everything we ate here. We had Chilean Sea bass (which we love) but maybe because of the broth it sits in, it smelled more fishy than we were used to. They do say that their fish is no more than 36 hrs out of the water. Could be the difference but it was not what we expected. The crab cake was wonderful, the lobster bisque was creamy, the 22 oz.. ribeye was cooked to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed the asparagus and truffle mac and cheese. The merlot was delightful and the smoked old fashioned was just excellent. We took the godiva cake and panda cottage to go. Haven't enjoyed them yet. I can't wait to return and have the peach cobbler.

Happy hour

By Juliene R |

Sabal was our server/bartender who gave great service. Alexa was a really great hostess. The food on happy hour is really good I guess it’s worth the price. Nice ambiance. I definitely would recommend here.

High expectations.....slight disappointment with food.

By Pilot-Mike558 |

My wife and I went for our anniversary. Food was ok...not what you would expect with such a hefty $ tag Plan to spend $200+ for dinner and drinks. Only real complaint is that my wife's fish was cold when it arrived and the portions are very small.

Poor service and overpriced, mediocre seafood. San Antonio offers so many better choices for a lower cost.

By SAAFAM |

We were really excited to try Eddie V’s. What a let down. Service was exceptionally poor, to the point where I actually had to get up, grab a pitcher, and refill my own water glass. After I refused a second margarita, our server basically ignored me…I truly felt invisible. The food was a mixed bag: our salads were very good. The entrees were just ok. Pass on scallops: one of the 5 provided was tough. Others at our table said their entrees of salmon and ahi were good but not fantastic. We had Brussels Sprouts as a side, which were overcooked. We were extremely disappointed. There are so many better choices in San Antonio which are less expensive and offer great food, consistently good service, and lower prices.

Couldn’t have been better!

By Sherpa249562 |

This was one of the finest dining experiences we have enjoyed in many years Absolutely everything was perfection. Gulf oysters on the half shell were as good or better than the best we’ve eaten anywhere. The scallops were perfectly seared and seasoned. The sole was heaven on a plate fresh, crisp coating perfectly cooked, moist and absolutely delicious! Petite filet was excellent! Absolutely not one single thing was short of perfection. Our server Gabby was pure delight and capped a perfect evening! Just an extraordinary evening!

Best of the Best in San Antonio!

By Doug H |

Eddie V's is as good as it gets! The ambiance is 5-star! The food is 5-star! And, the service is 5-star plus! Be sure to ask for Gabby's section... she will treat you and your party like royalty! The managers are not afraid to "get their hands dirty, " jump right in to help and set a wonderful example for the entire staff! My favorites... Chilean Sea Bass, Filet Mignon, Tomahawk Ribeye, Caesar Salad (it is light and super tasty), tuna tartare, grilled Asparagus and, for dessert, the Toffee S'mores!!! Beyond "favorite" are the Bananas Foster and the coffee!!! Both are insane!!!! If you want to meet my wife and I there, be sure to go on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday!

Delicious

By Porquerias |

The food and service at Eddie V’s are top notch - always exceptional! Because it is so consistent, we always know what we are going to get. It never disappoints. I only wish parking were easier!

Excellent! Best in San Antonio

By Jennifer |

The food is off the charts! Service was excellent (thanks Gabby!) We had the crab cake and lobster taco appetizer. Both amazing but lobster taco was over the top and would definitely get it again. Crab cake is all quality crab. For entrees, we had the steamed sea bass and Brussels sprouts side. The fish melts in your mouth and the Brussels sprouts are the best we’ve had. We loved our dishes so much there wasn’t room for dessert but I will try dessert next time. Next time we visit SA, we will dine at Eddie V’s.

Best Calamari Ever

By kim k |

The quality of the service is only exceeded by the quality of the food. An excellent choice for both happy hour and/or a special occasion. I especially like the kung pao calimari with cashews and sweet/spicy sauce. Ask for more of it on the side! 4stars because the booths sink way down when you sit in them, making it tough for shorter people to be comfortable at the table. So, take a pillow to sit on, or set at the table and chair sets.

Good To the Last Crumbs

By Angela |

OMG! What great tasting food that song comes to mind “Y’all Gonna Make Me Lose My Mind Up in Here Up in Here. Yes it was wonderful food, Service, atmosphere and attitude oh such a good time. Go check it out-But you better make a Reservation first.

Special treat

By Harold H |

This was a special meal and did not disappoint Service was over the top, Very attentive and met very need Great selection of meals and both of ours was really good

Excellent seafood

By WarrenB07481 |

Went hear on a recent Wednesday night for dinner by making a reservation on OpenTable. Reviews were solid. We first shared the kung pao calamari which was excellent and huge! I'm usually not a huge fan of calamari but this was delicious. It could serve 3-4 as a shared appetizer. In fact, it was so big, I skipped the salad and just ordered the entree. Had the chilean sea bass, which was steamed in a light broth over a bed of spinach. It was light and fluffy and again, if it hadn't been for the calamari, I would've eaten more of the sea bass. I wasn't disappointed at all, just full! Had a nice bottle of Pinot Noir to accompany the fish which was excellent. Ambience is slightly dark, but classy inside. Obviously popular and will definitely return on subsequent trips to SA.

TIME OUT !!!

By Stephania Toney TravelAgent |

Just a spur-of-the-moment night out. The evening began with a greeting from the manager, who also seated us. Each member of the staff that we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure that we (my husband & I) were taken care of. The food was excellent and the service exemplary.

Used to be much better!

By EmmaDee2014 |

We recently went here to celebrate my husband's birthday. This was our favorite restaurant for celebrations. Since they changed the name from Wild Fish to Eddie V's they also changed the menu. Too many things on the menu were oysters. Four of us went and all ordered different things. My husband ordered halibut, our favorite fish since we lived in Alaska years ago. It wasn't very good this time, kind of dry and tasteless. One of our party ordered the large steak filet and requested it medium rare, but it came out well done. Another ordered the red fish and just said it wasn't very good. She left most of it. I ordered Parmesan Sole and mine was really good. We did not complain about any of the dishes and if we had I am sure the restaurant would have done their best to fix things. We just don't like to send food back if it is edible. Our coffee refills were lukewarm and we had to wait for a new pot to be made. Desserts were good, not exceptional, but certainly good. Service was very good and server was efficient and pleasant. I can't recommend Eddie V's but can't say it was bad, just okay. For the price of the meal I would expect it to be very good! We will celebrate our next special occasion at a different restaurant.

The best seafood!!! The drinks are very good also. If you like calamari, you must order it here. It's delicious!!!

simply amaizing

By Anna R |

Even after becoming part of the franchise this place is still one of the best seafood restaurants in town. The food is delicious, cooked to perfection and the service is excellent, never pushy

Excellent!

By CEO |

We enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. Reception staff warmly welcomed us as soon as we entered. They confirmed our reservation and promptly accompanied us to our table. Wait staff introduced herself and handed out menus. We did not feel rushed to place our order. Cocktails were very good- fresh tasting and well balanced. Warm bread was served- crusty on the outside and soft doughy inside. Starters were crabcakes and lobster tacos. Wow- lumps of crab with a crunchy top and minimal fillers, if any. Tacos had chunks of lobster. Mains were seabass, redfish, swordfish and scallops. All were firm, fresh, sweet and simply delicious. Mac & cheese, spinach and brussel sprouts were a good complement to our entrees. Desserts were Godiva cake and peach cobbler- well worth the extra calories. Portions are generous. Half orders for side dishes and sharing of salads allow more room to try other foods on the menu. The dining area is clean and spacious. Service was outstanding. Dishes were cleared when appropriate. Wait staff was very attentive. She made sure we had enough time between courses. We did not feel rushed. The wine menu is extensive. Valet parking is free. This is the place to visit if you're craving for great seafood in San Antonio.

New Restaurant

By lrg36 |

Overall, I was pleased with my visit. The service was friendly, large portions and tasty. On the list to visit again. Leave room for the "Birthday Cake: dessert!

Particularly interesting to eat at the oyster bar, with the full expanse of the kitchen also entertaining.

By bruce w |

Everything about Eddie V's is first class, particularly the food. Very fresh, prepared by the best chef's, plus very attentive and observant service. A real treat anytime. (bring your wallet: fine value, appropriate prices for five diamonds!)

Excellent All Around

By HotelManagement001 |

We were guest's for a dinner at Wild Fish Grill - San Amtonio which was on its first day as being rebranded as Eddie V's Wild Fish Grill. The meal was awesome, service graciously professional. Be sure to try the Lobster Tacos

The Best Seafood Restaurant in San Antonio

By Peter S |

I have been here many times. The food is always fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The menu is broad, diverse and well crafted.

Another Great Happy Hour

By Tony G |

Had a great Happy Hour at Eddie V's. Cocktails were great. Best oyster bar in town. Currently 12.00 for a dozen excellent oysters is a steal. Lamb lollipops as appetizer are a real treat. Calamari is superb. 4-6 Happy hour is well worth the visit for pre- dinner stop. Steaks are all outstanding. The real hidden gems for dinner are the fish entrees. All are superb!!!

Mom’s Birthday dinner!

By Elita R |

This place has the best service that we have had in a long time!! Staff was very attentive and made my mother feel very special for her birthday! The food is excellent and the seafood is very fresh! My husband had one of the best steaks he has ever had here!! Definitely will go back again and again. Would have given a 5 rating but my husband had to ask for a new knife because his was dirty with stuck on food. Thanks Eddie V’s for a great evening!!

37th Anniversary Dinner.

By Nomad60479688279 |

We celebrated our 37 anniversary there. I'm not a good chooser of restaurants. I searched the internet for a nice restaurant to celebrated the occasion. I chose Eddie V's for seafood. The place was clean, the staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. It's hard to impress my wife but I did this time. I had the salmon plate with some wine. A very relaxing atmosphere. We will return very soon for dinner, not celebrating anything but just to have dinner. It's that good!

All things wonderful

By Julia G |

Fabulous food service & ambience. Creative menu. We chose smaller offerings to create a sampling menu. Nothing was hurried. Much like European fine dining

Excellent seafood!

By Myra G |

Another N. SA gem! Love their food and service! Never had a bad experience or meal. One of the finest happy hour menus and great drinks.

Great Menu, Wine List and Service

By Carlos F |

My wife and I had a great experience. We started with some cava and jumbo lump crab cakes. We sat in the patio and the ambiance was excellent. Our server was very attentive and everything came on time. We had the Texas red fish and the Norwegian salmon, both prepared to perfection. The side was lobster mashed potatoes with big pieces of lobster in it. Delicious!

Phenomenal Dinner

By Holdog31587 |

Everything that we ordered was delicious, from beginning to end. I went for my anniversary and was impressed with the service, atmosphere, and food. Worth every penny and will highly recommend to everyone I know. We will definitely come back! *We came during Covid and they had every other table available. We initially had an outdoor table reserved, but Debbie reserved an inside table as well when she saw that it would be 100* that day. We were very thankful for her in that moment!! We had: Cocktails-mule and red dragon Appetizer-crab cake 1st course-lobster bisque and wedge 2nd course- Oscar filet and crab/shrimp Dessert- bananas foster

As good as you can get in San Antonio

By Patricio B |

Before they added the Eddie V’s in my opinion it was better. The menu is the same but I sensed it became a bit more comercial. The quality is very good for San Antonio standards. Chilean sea bass is my favorite dish as is the raw oyster bar

Anniversary dinner

By Rocio R |

I celebrated my 32h wedding anniversary, dinner was splendid. Attention superb. Food delicious. My table was waiting for us with beautiful rose petals and a card from manager. Wine selection was fantastic.

Good Food, Great Service

By PrincessInBoots |

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. We had cocktails at the bar while waiting for our table to be ready. Both bartenders have good personalities. The food is very good. I love the Point Judith Calamari which is kung pao style. The Georges Banks scallops is very tasty but the serving is somewhat small. The jumbo gulf shrimp is good but dry. The crab fried rice was tasty as well and the creme brulee was heavenly. Overall, good food and great service.

Light dinner good atmosphere

By KundaNomad |

We have come here a few times and as compelled as I am to rate it a five out of five. I just have not tried manybitems on the menu. We came here to try the well rated lobster bisque and fortunately for us but unfortunate for the rest of the items on the menu, it was great. A meal in its own. The atmosphere is very pleasant although we generally sit at the bar. The service is great and coming here for a nice uperscale meal with a pleasant atmosphere is a good choice. Maybe next time we will get past the bisque and place the much deserved fifth star on this rating.

A future Michelin, for sure !!!

By Monica F |

Excellent !!! The entire dining experience. The food and service are impeccable. Some may find it a bit loud. You won't be sorry and your taste buds will thank you.

Amazing fish

By Karen G |

We had dinner here for my husband's birthday dinner and loved it. The fish was just amazing, although pricey. My husband had the Chilean Sea Bass, which has an Asian flair, and I had the Parmesan-crusted Sole. The fish was perfectly prepared. It was a little louder than I like for conversation, but other than that, it was a perfect date restaurant.

Dinner

By Nancy M |

Great food! Fabulous service! The menu was full of wonderful choices! The lobster bisque, sole, macaroni and desert won!

Bartenders are PROS. High-end and creative space, food and drinks

By wbgreaux |

The style, decor, service, and food are all excellent. Best for adults that can drop $60-$200 per person with no problem. Its a fresh place filled with customers that value good food and great drinks. If you can manage to snag a spot at the bar, the bartenders really know their business and seem to enjoy their job. I hate when I'm at other trendy spots and the bar staff makes me feel like a jerk for ordering a $15 complex cocktail. I love the crab cakes - fresh and meaty. My hubs says their blue point oysters are the best ever. Save room for dessert! They are ALL good, the Creme Brule, chocolate cake, and when they have the key lime pie - yum!

Best of the Best

By wheelman1104 |

Great atmosphere, great wait staff and the food was even better. Well worth the trip. Tuna was cooked to perfection and very fresh.

Trapped by the COVID-19 virus

By James R |

Trapped by the COVID-19 virus it is hard to celebrate that special event with a great meal without exposure, which in my case could be dangerous. We looked at our nearby options and were pleased to see EddieV on the list. We often eat there for special meals or maybe happy hour oysters and wine on the patio or in the bar. The meal was placed in my trunk, well packaged, ready to go. I got home with a hot delicious meal. My only complaint was that there were no directions to let me know where to park.

Great service and food remains outstanding

On a recent visit to Eddie V’s Wildfish, formerly The Wildfish, our party was keen on effects of name change to service and food. Surprisingly this restaurant remains a solid choice for a great dining experience. Food prices has increased about 25% but the quality is still superb. The calamari appetizer is still a great starter. Our party of 4 all enjoyed the preparation and presentation. The entrees were all good. The sole, red fish, scallops and shrimp were all well prepared and generous portions. Wine selections have remain solid choices. Our waitress (Raye) was very attentive and deserves solid praise. For dessert try the pineapple upside- down cake/ with ice cream. Unbelievable after dinner treat. Worth a visit for a special occasion our a nice “stepup” evening dinner date. Reservation highly recommended. 4 to 7 happy hour still a good start to the evening at lower prices from dinner.
