We had dinner on the patio. Nice view of the Bay and the Coronado bridge. I had the Scallops stuffed with crabmeat and Brie; it was very good. My husband had the Filet Mignon; it was just OK. The service was prompt and efficient.

I came here for dinner with a work colleague. The location is excellent and it wasn't too crowded for a Tuesday night. The service however was another story. It was atrocious. We had to flag down our server numerous times, which was surprising because of how uncrowded it was. The food however was excellent.

Service was top notch the past two times we visited. Love the lower inside seating with views of the bay and boats. Cooler at night when the boats come by with their lights on.

We had a wonderful table with a view, but that did not make up for waiting for our food to arrive over forty-five minutes. When the food arrived it was cold, over cooked, and incorrect. When we asked for more silverware so we each had a set you would have thought we asked for to much. Not worth the price.

Food was good in quality but poorly prepared. If you like cold breakfast and overly spiced food then this is your place. Service was good and view is great! If they hired a new cook this would be a five star place.

The fish here is absolutely fresh and delicious. For the price tag (25-30$ per meal) it is well worth. The daily catch when we went here was Ahi, which was cooked very well and was quite good. We also were served a swordfish burger which was phenomenal. Their draft beer/wine list is on the small side but has good enough variety to find something for most people. Service was great, if spread a little thin for a fully packed restaurant. Will be returning in the near future.

The seafood is wonderful. We shared the Poke Nachos and ordered Fish tacos, Harvest omelet and a burger for our party if three. The burger was a hockey puck. Mentioned it to the waitress and she said she would tell the cook... that's it. No offer of another menu item. AND remember to ask for parking validation. Waitress did not mention it. Parking at Seaport Village is $8 per hour!! Restaurant only knocks off $5 for three hours...but that's a hefty price to pay. View from patio was nice...we saw dolphins playing while we were there.

Location is great! Nice views in the harbor and in Seaport Village. We had made reservations for a larger party and we were seated in a timely manner near a window. Server was great! We ordered filet mignons with shrimp, margherita flatbread, crab cakes, crab soup, shrimp salad, cocktails, etc. our only issue was the food runners dropped the ball. They brought the appetizers out at the same time as the rest of the food. Forgot to bring our sourdough bread we had also ordered as an appetizer and missing 2 herb butters for two of the filet mignons. The server stopped by after seeing food delivered and realized the runners had brought it all together and apologized which truly was no fault of hers. She did bring the herb butter and bread and again apologized. My husband‘s veggies and mashed potatoes were cold but his steak was hot but didn’t bother with bringing it up as the server can’t control the kitchen. The other employees helping bus tables as they saw people not eating were slightly pushy which didn’t help our view of the rest of the staff. They weren’t busy during this time so a little unnecessary. Again, our server was amazing and she even finished it off with a complimentary birthday dessert and the table singing happy birthday. I would come here again as the food was good and so were the drinks.

Just strolling through Seaport village in San Diego and I've stopped at the Edgewater for lunch. And the choice was fish taco - a tasty option , the fish was grilled just right, the sauces were not overwhelming the taste of the fish, and the salsa that came with crispy tortilla was completing the dish nicely. Overall a very good choice I would say. On the other hand the beer - I chose a local one , wasn't of my taste ... Service was good - nothing to complain , the waiter was polite and helpful , so no issue from the perspective. The view from the outside terrace is just great - view towards the bay and Coronado island. Prices pocket friendly and of course credit cards are accepted. So if you are looking for good fish taco Edgewater can be the place you are looking for.

Make a reservation. This place is popular. The bayside tables with the view are apparently reserved for diners. Interior is for bar service, although the view is still good. The bar area was very crowded and extremely noisy. Staff tried to seat us there for dinner, but for one person, it was impossible to hear, so reluctantly we got a bayside table. The boardwalk goes right by the dining tables, so it's like being at a sidewalk cafe -- walkers, bikers, bladers, ballers -- all here! The service was excellent. The menu was somewhat limited, short on vegetarian options, but enough variety so all could find something. Parking is a bit more challenging, with a walk to the restaurant from the lot, past the lovely stores, not all of which are open during the evening hours. There were wine by the glass selections for $11 and up. Fish and chips was $25, which I felt was high. Lovely dinner, Average food. Great ambience.

Came here for a working lunch with 7 others from my school on a Wednesday afternoon. Most outdoor seating was gone, but we easily got a table for 8 inside. I wasn’t terribly hungry so I just ordered from the appetizer menu and the portion was huge, and delicious. I had the fried Brussels sprouts with bacon and they were so flavorful I ate them all. Great variety of lunch options and breakfast was still available as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was a little slow & prices were a little high, but food was great.

We stopped by for a quick bite while walking the Embarcadero. We had a great view and fantastic food. Service was a bit slow, but they were unbelievably busy. The ceviche is the best ever!

We wanted a great experience for lunch. We did NOT have it at the Edgewater Grill. We tried to order a calamari starter as part of our meal, this is normally a way to share the calamari as it often is much more than my wife will eat. We also tried to order a scallop starter and two salads. We were seated at the bar because we didn’t want to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a table. The bartender repeated our order to us after he had placed our order with the kitchen and had not ordered the calamari. He asked me if I wanted it after our meal???? or with it??? That didn’t make any sense to me so I said as soon as possible. We also got water and a soda. I didn’t time how long it took for the calamari and one very large salad that tasted “ off “ and a one cup side salad. No idea why we got such different salads as we had meant to order the same salads. It seamed a long time before the first food showed up. Unfortunately the very small side salad, the huge salad that tasted like soap and the calamari were all big disappointments. The calamari was room temperature and very tough “the worst calamari I’ve ever been served “ was my wife’s comment, I had to agree. We were both hungry, I ate the side salad and picked at the calamari who’s sauce resembled tomato soup more than cocktail sauce but passed on the soapy tasting salad. After awhile we were served a scallop lunch. It was much more what we were expecting, hot food on a hot plate, slightly over cooked cauliflower, still quite good, a rice with tiny seeds, very tasty, a lovely sauce and perfectly cooked scallops. As we were enjoying this part of the meal I ran out of drink and a helpful waitress brought me another. The bill was $78.66, a lot for a disappointing lunch

The view was amazing. Our server Kristi was informative and accommodating to my silly food allergies. The fish tacos were excellent. I had catch of the day “Barramundi”, I ate the whole thing! It was cooked perfectly, and the lemon beurre blanc sauce was divine.

Love this place! I don't understand the mediocre reviews. Some of the lunch and dinner items ARE kinda average (e.g., nachos, salsa, & guac) but the breakfast selection is terrific and you can't beat the mimosa flight (my personal favorite). : ) The strawberry margarita and brussel sprouts are also among the best anywhere. We've had terrific service from everyone there too over the past few years. Colin made our most recent visit extra-special; he was very professional yet also friendly and helpful. The restaurant does a great job maintaining a relaxed casual atmosphere while still moving things along smoothly. Definitely recommend!

I wouldn’t return because of the food... but the views made up for the poor cut of steak. The salad and vegetables were good... service was good as we were seated immediately. I asked for no croutons... which wasn’t followed but my other requests were perfect.

Great view, below average food. Clam chowder was below average, tasteless and served way way too hot. Fish tacos were good but not great. Underwhelmed

Is really the ONLY thing this place has going for it. Service was OK, but slow. Food was average at best. We won't be back.

We were lucky to get a table outdoors to enjoy he people watching along the Seaport walkway as well as a great view and breeze over the harbor. GREAT wines by the glass and a lovely wait staff. All the plates of food coming out of the restaurant looked awesome. Shame only happy hour is limited to customers at the bar.

All of the seating was taken outside so we had a window seat that still gave a good view of the harbor. I had fish and chips but it looks like the stuffed scallops might be the best meal to order there. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, the wine was good even though I only ordered house wine. The clam chowder soup was OK but it desperately needed salt.

We sat here for a quick brunch and asked to be seated next to the window , which beats by far any sitting without a view . The spot has great views of the promenade and bay . Food was ok but not great - we ordered the Avocado toast but it didn’t include fresh avocado as we expected but the commercial guacamole you get in the stores . We ordered coffee and weren’t offered refill . Other than that the staff was very accommodating of all special dietary needs and the food is OK .

Beautiful evening next to the water, watching the ships and boats go by. The service was top notch , Gabe was very attentive and friendly, the entrees were delicious. My husband had the sea scallops and I had the catch of the day, delicious salmon. The sunset was perfect, very romantic evening with wine pairings.

My family and I went to San Diego on vacation recently, and we had just gotten off of the USS Midway (A retired Naval aircraft carrier), so we were all very hungry. We were seated in a timely manner, and the view was gorgeous! But the food was terrible. My little brothers' cheese pizza had NO sauce and the cheese was spoiled. My minestrone soup had the longest hair in the world in it. My moms' fish taco had no taste whatsoever! My other little brother's cheeseburger pattie was salty. I don't even know how you can mess up a burger. My dad was the only one who enjoyed their meal! We are NEVER going there again!

Sizable establishment in Seaport Village area of the city. Pay parking available and then a walk toward the water. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Spacious full bar with well executed drinks. Children's menu offered. If you like al fresco dining with a water view, you will not want to miss this spot. Dined here outside on the porch twice in one week-once for brunch and once for lunch. The omelets and quiche were very good and the pizza and salad for lunch were also good. Outdoor seating offers an beautiful view of San Diego Bay and Coronado. Excellent spot for both people and ship watching. A large naval amphibious carrier, the USS America, passed by during our lunch visit. Awesome to watch this sizable ship gracefully cruise by and pass under the Coronado Bridge. Yes, a true photo op! Service was attentive and friendly. Will return on my next visit to San Diego.

My coworkers and I had dinner at Edgewater Grill. The food was delicious. And the wait staff was very attentive. The view was amazing of the San Diego Bay. I would go back. And I would highly recommend to those traveling to San Diego

The carne asada skillet was so awfully good I didn't even need ketchup. And the french toast was wonderful; would come again for the Coconut whipped cream.

We didn’t eat, but our son was hungry and this came highly recommended. He had the fish n chips and was very pleased!

The ambiance is worth 5 stars alone, but the service and food brings down the rating. We enjoyed the breeze and the sunshine at the outside tables. All of the staff seems unhappy and as though they don’t want to be there. the hostess was short and unfriendly. We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes before we even received water. Our sever showed up after another 5 minutes and wanted to take our food order right away before we could order drinks. We asked a few extra minutes to look over the menu while we enjoyed our drinks. We waited another 20 minutes for our sever to take our order. The food was served in reasonable amount of time, but it wasn’t anything too special. Not bad, but anything memorable. If you’re going for the view, aren’t in a hurry and don’t mind mediocre food, you might enjoy it!

Had lunch and a drink The food was good and great place to watch the harbor and relax.. Fun to people watch

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was nice and had a view of the water. The staff and greeter were very nice. Our waiter was awesome, the food was fresh and awesome. Then we also had dessert and that was really good as well. Great atmosphere with really nice people. I recommend making a reservation as the wait was over an hour.

Finished off a day exploring San Diego with dinner at Seaport Village. Edgewater hit the criteria perfectly, beautiful spot overlooking the bay, friendly and attentive service and really good food. My daughter hit up the kids menu with a pizza and steamed veggies which she enjoyed (travelling with kids, the restaurant always gets a gold star in my books if they fire the kids meal right away leaving us to enjoy a drink while we look over the menu!). My husband enjoyed his fish tacos and I had the clear winner of the night - the seafood pappardale with scallops, shrimp and mussels a plenty (our waitress brought over extra bread to dip in the remaining sauce!) The only reason it didn’t get 5/5 in my books was that the atmosphere inside the restaurant was a bit lacking. It was too cool for a patio spot and sitting inside was just a bit loud and underwhelming.

While happy hour prices are only at the bar, the view outside is priceless. Watch the park, the people going by, the boats, ships, and the bridge. Good drinks. Good spot to relax for a bit

With so many waterfront options in this area, we had the misfortune of choosing this place. The staff was unhappy, which has to go to the top. The bar was out of ice, although we liked the bartender. Happy hour is only at the bar, so if you order food and drinks during happy hour, definitely do it at the bar because they won’t tell you until they give you the check. Everyone just seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but here. We recommend going somewhere else. I wish we had read the reviews before we went.

The restaurant is located next to the San Diego Bay, a couple of blocks from the convention center and just across the Coronado North Island. The Seafood Pappardelle was excellent, and the host was professionally amusing and friendly. Warning: Do not order Margarita if your alcohol tolerance is limited :-)

My husband and I had brunch at Edgewater Grill on Monday, June 19, 2023. We had a wonderful outdoor table with the most amazing view of the bay. Our server, Michael, was outstanding. He was very professional, personable and had a great sense of humor. I loved how he handed out doggie treats to the many dogs walking along the boardwalk. We will be back and will request to be seated at Michael's station.

First, the good. If you order the hot sourdough bread as an appetizer, you will not be disappointed. That is very tasty. And the chicken tenders with french fries are a great option for kids. Second, the not so good. We split the fish tacos. You can substitute french fries for the chips and we would recommend that. There is no charge for that. As for the fish tacos, they probably would’ve been quite tasty but they were served luke warm to cold. Third, the bad primarily revolves around the wait time for service. We waited approximately 45 minutes and the place was not very busy. Also the service was not particularly great. Our waitress was civil but not very attentive. She never return to refill our water. And the appetizer was served with the main meal, not soon after we arrived. Otherwise, the view from the restaurant is good. You can see the Midway in the bay. Prices are OK. Ultimately, you are really paying for the location and a convenient place to eat along the waterfront.

This was of three harborside restaurants in or near the Marina District that we tried for lunch on a recent trip. Although we might try it again on a future trip, the others are more likely. Like the other two, the prices reflect the view and ambiance, so value is comparable. The food is not..quite. The "Signature She Crab Soup" was a disappointment. Having visited the Carolins Low Country many times, I was looking forward to it. The soup was rich and creamy, it had crabmeat. It had very little flavor. The Low Country original version starts with a rich crab stock. This is cream soup with some crabmeat. The rest of the food was very good, but it was hard for me to get past that poor first impression.

I was there with 7 other people, so we knew we would have to wait, and boy did we wait. It took about an hour to get our food, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Every single one of us thought the food was bad. I ordered mushroom risotto with shrimp and the risotto was lukewarm mush with no flavor. My friends all said similar things about their meals. not hot, and poor quality. I paid $60 for horrible food. Also, the waitress only visited our table a few times, and again, they were not busy.

We asked for a table for dinner and the 2 ladies at the reception desk quite annoyed told us to wait 30 minutes when all around there were a lot of empty tables inside and outside. So after 30/35 minutes the table was not yet ready and one of the lady at the reception told us to wait for other 5 minutes more so we sat at the bar where we ordered 2 medium beers (for the modest sum of of 27 dollars!!!!). After 10 minutes of waiting I asked again for my table and at the end they gave us an hidden table at the end of the restaurant (still a lot of tables always empty)… but not finished yet … we waited for the waiter but nobody came .. so we decided to go away. Worst service ever , really bad service , unprofessional people. I don't recommend it

The food was amazing. The view and the decorattions was nice - it was very cozy. The staff was friendly and service minded.

This is at Seaport Village which is a great location to enjoy a lunch and a few drinks. Everything is just ok and we had the feeling that it was just missing something or a Wow that would propel this one excellent. There is nothing wrong and service , food etc were satisfactory. Worth a visit for a quick lunch but not for a special occasion

Liked it very much. I have a hard time giving five stars to anything so this four star is very high for me. The location is right on the water and the views are incredible. I had the shrimp tacos which were absolutely delicious…corn tortillas, cabbage slaw, guacamole, grilled shrimp and lime crema. There were two tacos and they were fresh and delicious. My husband had fish tacos which were the same as mine except they came with grilled mahi-mahi. Our plates also came with chips and a delicious salsa. We shared a brownie sundae for dessert. The brownie was moist and thick and had tons of chocolate chips in it. And garnished with blueberries and strawberries gave it some brightness. Our server, Sergio, was attentive and accommodating. I’ve seen other reviews indicating that service is very slow, but we did not experience that all. Very pleased in fact, by the service.

We recently attended a business dinner at this restaurant. All night long I had a terrible stomach ache. We had crab appetizers and chicken satay (both were barely edible). Next we had a mixed salad, salmon with mashed potatoes and four, thin stalks of asparagus. For dessert we had carrot cake. The only edible item in this list was the cake. But something really was wrong with this dinner since I was so sick all night and the next day.

This restaurant has a nice large patio and we sat looking out at the harbor with a wonderful view. My crab cakes were excellent and my grandson's kid's chicken tenders was very good. The service was good and we didn't feel rushed.

Right on the waterfront of seaport village so a great location overlooking the water. Indoor and outdoor seating, service friendly. However, I’m not a fan of plates being cleared from the table before everyone has finished eating. So this is an improvement opportunity. Food was fabulous and portions very generous. We’d had a late lunch so my cousin and I only ordered appetisers, and we’re glad we did so. More than enough. The crab cakes were delicious and the salmon platter also. Reasonably priced given fabulous location and outlook.

I had the Mahi tacos and fries. Fries cold and tacos Luke warm. Still pretty tasty! My wife loved the coconut shrimp 🍤 appetizer. She couldn’t stop talking about how light, fluffy and flavorful they were! Since this is in Seaport Village, the view of the pacific was peaceful, beautiful and called for you stay all day! We just about did!

It's funny how wait staff can change the entire experience. 3 of us went for breakfast. Mine was the best I've had in the 3 weeks I've been on vacation. Our waitress was really good, and she loved that I liked my breakfast. Was a nice feeling. We paid the bill. Rest of the family arrived and our new waitress was terrible. Ill give 5 stars for the 1st experience. I really hate tipping 18% for bad service.

Lovely place with very good service. Excellent crab soup and shrimp with risotto. Not fancy, but good food. Try to get an outside seat!

We stopped in for lunch and got a show for free!! The harbour is a nice backdrop for lunch!! We were in San Diego 16 years ago and had lunch on the harbour and It's still just as beautiful. Food was good, service was great!!!!

I brought my group of 13 for dinner here in May with a limited menu. Debra assisted me in planning the meal and we met the day ahead to go over our needs. It turned out GREAT! They gave us beautiful and comfortable seating and dinner was a real wow! Some of the folks ordered steaks and said they were fantastic, everyone loved the salad with the chilied pecans and goat cheese, and then, the cioppino!!!! It was amazing. The sauce was flavorful and spicy without being hot, and most of us really worked that bread to get every delicious drop. I don't like mussels, but they were perfect, and so was the scallops, which can so easily go rubbery. Not so here! I couldn't order a dessert, as tempting as they all were, but everyone said they were delicious. We had a fantastic time, and if we end up in San Diego again, we will be back. Thanks, Edgewater Grill, for making our meal memorable!

This place is part of Seaport village. They have seating both inside and outdoors by the bay. The food was excellent, as was the service. Very enjoyable sitting outside.

Great restaurant with good food and a beautiful view. We were there for brunch so I had the avocado toast and my husband had the fish tacos. It wasn’t fancy, but it was good with good service. The bloody mary’s were good also!

I had the best fish tacos I have ever had in my entire life. I eat fish tacos on every trip . These were by far the BEST! Good bear selection and friendly staff!

We met some friends from out of town here. It happened to be a rainy day in San Diego so we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We were able to sit and talk, no rush. Good food and friends. The ambience was great for a rainy day. Our waitress knew her stuff. Even sent the Clam Chowder back because it was runny and came back with the good stuff, creamy clam chowder.

The food was quite average, although the portions are large. Friendly attentive service. Good views. They had some local beers on tap, I tried a couple but was not impressed.

Arrived for a late lunch (2:30pm Sunday), the place was half empty. I asked to be seated outside ( less than half the tables were occupied) I was told, "you will be more comfortable inside". (???) I was seated at a small inside table, facing the window and another large table. I was told that my server would be right with me. I first met him 10 minutes later (remember, half-empty). He took my drink and water order, brought the drink, not the water. I ordered the Ceviche, which was excellent! large pieces of fish in a delicately spiced lime sauce, it was a very big portion. Served with unsalted tortilla chips (no salt on the table). I asked for some spicier salsa- not was ever brought. I had to ask another server because mine was not to be seen. I finished my meal, waited another 5-10 minutes, and then asked another server to please find my waiter and my check. This other server brought me my check and cashed me out. THEN my original waiter showed up to pick up the signed credit card slip. I was looking for him, and he was not occupied with other tables. Not sure where he was, but I am not happy with being ignored. Never got water, never got salsa, never asked if I wanted another drink. Too many issues here-I will not be back. Too bad, because the food was very good.

We went here for the view and it was very nice sitting on the patio. The food (breakfast) was average and the service took a while for as small of a crowd as they had. Overall it was a decent meal and enjoyed the view.

Snagged a table outside for breakfast. Sunny but cool, so not a day for lingering forever. Very quick to bring me water - very slow to do much else. Had the Huevos ranchero - a favourite of mine, and something not easy to find outside of the US. Very nice, along with coffee and juice.

We stopped off here on a couple of occasions during our time in San Diego and really enjoyed the relaxed vibe, it's the perfect place to people watch if you're sitting outside. We did eat here but it was light and just snacks to go with a few beers. Everything was great and it wasn't bad value.

My wife and I stopped by the Seaport area prior to flying home and had lunch here. The view was amazing and food was too. Huge salad and pizza. Very attentive service also.

We stopped in after a long day of site seeing around 4 pm. We ordered crab cakes appetizer, clam chowder, shrimp cob salad and mahi-mahi sandwich. The crab cakes were the best we’ve ever had! Huge chunks of crab and lightly seasoned. The chowder was very good as well. I enjoyed my shrimp Cobb salad with avocado, bacon, egg, and blue cheese with a spicy ranch dressing. Our only disappointment was the mahi-mahi sandwich. It was short on fish and long on bread, but very tasty. It was a great meal, but would go back just for the crab cakes!

Great food with an excellent view of the ocean. The food was great and the service was good. I had shrimp taco with fries.

When it's a beautiful day in San Diego (and when is it not?), take a stroll around Seaport Village. Hungry for good food with a view of the bay?...dine at Edgewater Grill. Sit outside, order a cocktail and appetizers and enjoy the view!

Thought it would be good, on the water, in San Diego.... Ordered the tacos and bad. Just bad. Got one fish taco and one shrimp. The fish was a machine-cut rectangle that was thin and HARD. WAY overdone. Small. Gross. The shrimp in the shrimp taco was ok but only 3 small shrimp and a lot of cabbage. I wouldn't eat here ever again. The tacos were $19 before tax too.

In Seacrest Village, which is a quaint shopping area in itself, is this great bar and grill. We had breakfast there and completely enjoyed it. Good drink selections and varied breakfast menu. Outside dining was very enjoyable. Can’t speak for the lunch or dinner menu but highly suggest this place to begin your tour of this area of San Diego. Only a few minutes walk to visit the Midway Musuem.

I snagged the last table for two by the water. It took a while for my server to come. Once she did, I was glad. Instead of a glass of plain water, she suggested soda water with a slice each of lemon and lime. My order was simple: fish and chips. It was cooked perfectly. After I finished and paid -- no charge for the refreshing drink -- the server asked if I'd like another glass. It was a Friday evening, and the restaurant was busy, so I was surprised and pleased that she invited me to stay a bit longer. Great experience all around!

We (two couples who have been traveling together for years)decided to have lunch at the Edgewater figuring that we would have time for that and to visit the aircraft carrier nearby. We asked for a table on the porch and were told that it would be a fifteen minute wait. There were four of us, and we noted a table for six that was empty. We were told words to the effect that it putting us there would overburden the servers. OK. So we go to the bar to wait. Fifteen minutes. Thirty minutes. Forty five minutes. No one comes to see us during the wait, so I go and inquire. I am told that no one is moving from their tables, but one appears ready to open in perhaps ten minutes. Doing a little quick math based on the last time estimate, I figure that it would probably be thirty minutes and ask for a table inside for the four of us. Although there were plenty of empty tables, our request caused some type of consternation. Eventually we were offered a table and told that when the aforementioned table emptied out, we could move there. The table for six on the porch that I mentioned earlier was still empty. We told them that we would stay where we were, but we told our waiter that we wanted to talk to a manager about what had transpired so far. The manager came over and told us that we could move to a table outside when it was cleared. He then returned when our food had arrived to repeat his offer now that the table was cleared outside. I think that he missed the point. Moving our food was not the issue by this time, what was the issue was that neither he nor his staff had informed us of the excessive delay or we could have made other plans (like sitting inside) and not wasted the better part of now about an hour and a half. An argument could be made that we probably should have left, but we had already invested so much time here that we would have gained nothing starting all over at another restaurant Our waiter did his part to provide good service, so no fault rests on his shoulders, and the food, although pumped up in price, was OK. (As a note, our bartender during our wait made along with other fine drinks, a nice spicy margarita which I enjoyed very much. No fault there either) We finished with no re-appearance of the manager nor further comment by anyone concerning the glitch. Good customer service would have at least suggested that the manager made one more appearance, apologized for the glitch and, if nothing else, let us know that if we returned, he would make sure this never happened again. Of course, our time for the carrier visit was reduced to where we scratched it off our list. We also scratched off any return visit in the future to the Edgewater. I don't know how regular an occurrence this type of service is, but it really needs to be addressed even if it is infrequent. Waiting people should not be ignored, and definitely not for a period of time as long as the meal itself took. When we left, the table for six that I have mentioned two times already, was still empty. My wife gets credit for these reviews, but they are written by her husband who prefers that she and our friends, when we are guests at a restaurant, are treated like guests.

The Edgewater Grill, located in Seaport Village, offers seating inside and outside, all with great views of the harbor. We were there for one brunch and three dinners, all on weekdays. We always had good service. For brunch, I had a great "harvest omelet" and my wife had great French toast. For dinner, we shared (at no extra cost) a tasty "Edgewater burger," and twice a wonderful "catch [of the day] burger," which both days was yellow fin swordfish.

Not the best and certainly not the worst. Some dishes are affordable and some are pretty pricey. The beer is extortionate and was warm. They dealt with a party of 10 on July 4th very well.

Our family came here after visiting the USS Midway Museum. The food was great, the views were awesome, and the service was reasonable. Food: It was 2:00 PM and my Dad was very excited that he could still get breakfast; he really enjoyed it. My brother greatly enjoyed his burger. I got the chicken sandwich and it was incredible (however, if you do not like your food absolutely smothered in pesto...maybe ask them to go lighter on that). We were all very satisfied. Views: Great view of the water both at indoor and outdoor seating. Service: Our server was very friendly, but was asked for another minute with the menu and she disappeared for a while...definitely nothing bad enough to keep me from going back.

We waited half an hour to be seated while five families were seated earlier even though they arrived after us. We waited another half an hour for any food to show (had to remind the server that we hadn’t got any food) and the food was not worth it. The kid’s risotto and vegetables was bland. The calamari was dry and salty. My toddler and I finished our food and there were still no sign of my husband’s food! The only good thing was that the server went above and beyond to bring crackers and some extra fries for my hangry toddler while we were waiting for the food.

Have eaten at this place many times in the past with great results.no so much lately, I had hoped the last bad experience was a one off but unfortunately tonight at my wife’s birthday meal they tried to pass off a meal with half of the ingredients missing as the full meal When we commented on it the server replied that the machine to make the dish properly had broken . So they decided to serve it any way with no apologies or explanation. Will reconsider further visits in another light.

Great food , great service and great location ! We thought it was great . The surrounding areas were very fun and friendly directly in the water.

The patio and the view of harbour are really the only reason to go here. The menu is basic American food with a focus on seafood, and quality varies depending on what you get. The sandwiches seem to be the safest bet. The service is hit and miss as well. If it's a sunny day and you can sit on the patio, I'd recommend coming here for drinks and basic food. Otherwise, I'd take a pass.

My daughters and I love eating here. We sit outside and can see the ocean; it's so pleasant. And the food is great! The chicken bbq flatbread is amazing, as are their hamburgers. It is a very busy place so be sure to make a reservation in advance. And be patient with service! Totally worth it.

We debated long and hard about whether to give a 2 or a 3. We’ve decided to be generous and give 3 because the honey glazed beer battered shrimp was good and the waitress was friendly. The restaurant was popular and, luckily, we didn’t have to wait very long for a table which was inside but next to a window. We ordered but the food seemed to take forever to arrive – a young couple who came in after us had finished their starters and were on their main course by the time our food arrived. Presentation was somewhat lacking and the overall quality of the Alaskan cod and chips with kale slaw was pretty average. Once we’d finished we were presented with the bill without being asked if we wanted any dessert or coffee. I thought the charge of $4. 25 for iced tea was somewhat excessive especially considering that both the Grand Hyatt and the Hilton didn't charge us at all for iced tea. Would we recommend this restaurant? No Would we return? No.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after tooling around Seaport Village. It seemed to one of the few places that was a sit-down restaurant. The food wasn't bad, but it's not a destination restaurant. The thing it has going for it is the view.

Edgewater used to be a favorite spot but its prices have gone way up while the service level has declined. For example, the mimosa flight increased almost 50%, from $16 to $23. Two mediocre fish tacos are now $19. And service sadly seems scarcer and less professional. Our most recent trip will likely be our last. Not only were we kept waiting a long time after being seated, we had to flag down our server each time to actually place our order, get silverware, get the check, etc. We were also each charged $4.75 for our glass of club soda (which we got in place of water AND which was mostly all ice). Almost $10 for less than 8 oz. in total of soda water...??! Never again. The location on waterfront is still wonderful but unless the restaurant cleans up its act, longtime customers won't be back.

If you want a good restaurant with amazing views this is it. Right on the harbour. The staff were very attentive and the food was nice except for my eggs benedict that were cold. No question at all they just took it off the bill. Great for breakfast and happy hour cocktails. We went twice. Good WiFi too.

Lunch at Edgewater was excellent. I had the crab soup and it was amazing. The soup was $14 which I had first thought was very high but I’m glad I ordered it because I loved it. I also had the fish tacos which were beautifully displayed and delicious. We had great service, and we sat by a window where we enjoyed the wonderful view of the bay. Would highly recommend. It is expensive, but worth it.

Lunch visit on a rainy afternoon and it was a perfect setting for my family. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the view of Coronado Island is beautiful. I really liked the clam chowder and that the restaurant is kid friendly. I had the shrimp tacos, but those were so so. My husband had the tiny bay scallops on the appetizer menu and those were good, but anything deep fried usually is! :) I recommend this place for anyone who wants a lunch spot with a view and kid friendly. A lunch for the three of us was over $75 so don't expect to eat cheap here. Also, I have to give them credit for having a designated stroller area for us. You don't know how much that helps parents out! Thank you!

The Edgewater Grill is a great place for breakfast, the servers are polite and prompt and the food is tasty. My only comment would be that if you are not a great fan of fish, then your choices are slightly limited.

We went for lunch, ordered pizzas and a Cesar salad. The food was of good size. The pizza had extra oil on it which isn’t necessary. The food was ok. Not great, but ok. The view of the sea is beautiful. Slightly on the pricey side. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This is a restaurant on the waterfront in Seaport Village in Sandiego. The outdoor seating is limited but the view of the water and sunny sky are excellent. Service is friendly and prompt. Food was fine but this is a place you come to for the view and sun rather than the top quality food.

Had Atlantic cod and it sounded so good, it didn't taste as good as it sounded, it definitely wasn't fresh and had clearly been recently unfrozen ! the freshly cooked sourdough was amazing though and the service was great. Disappointing but a great place to sit outside and people watch and let the sun set.

We had visited Seaport Village and were hungry for lunch for we had to head for the airport to fly home. We were seated outside, as we had asked for. Service was very nice. I found it a bit expensive, but it was worth it. We had the tacos with grilled shrimp, the ceviche and a garden green salad. Everything was very tasty and you can't beat the views and the fun of people watching.

Ordered the flatbread pizza here which was excellent. My son enjoyed his burger. I wish we could have ate outside but it was busy and we didn’t want to wait. Overall, I give it thumbs up!

We were in the hint for a seafood restaurant that served oysters on the half shell, and Edgewater did not disappoint! Excellent service, great food and a beautiful view of the water. We will definitely be back.

I actually ate here way back in 2015 alone and this time round I brought my wife here again. I really like the vibe, sitting by the walk way of the harbour and just seeing people strolling around the area. We got our table pretty quickly despite not making any reservation. Ordered nachos for sharing, a fish burger for her and a fish & chips for myself. Big portion, yummy food, nice staff, good views, nothing else I can ask for. I'd probably drop by again 7 years later. Haha

Great views indoors and out! Great food with an extensive drink list. Attentive service. I would definitely return.

Was very good, price was good and food was good..Staff was helpful and free wifi :) Food was good I had burger and fresh tomato's and wife had egg omelet

Great service, beautiful view of the bay, and most importantly, the food was delicious! What more do you want in a restaurant.

We were there for brunch. Very yummy mimosa's. The menu was a little more limited than what I would prefer. But, the crab eggs benedict was to die for!

Have your breakfast with ocean view. Enjoy the weather and the view even more the food itself, That can happen if you decided to have your breakfast @edgewater grill restaurant. The food quality is fair with average prices. I’m attaching their menu for more details and also you can imagine the view. Their margarita pizza 🍕 was nice and that was my breakfast so I can’t tell more:).

We had a late lunch here whilst visiting the area. It is a bayside restaurant and we had beautiful views across the bay towards Coronado. We both had the fish tacos which were really good.

Along with great service, thank you Kristie. The lunch was super good with patio service along the harbor. Edgewater was recommended by several local folks....great pick

Great view. Bad service. Although it was fairly empty, couldn't get a good table as I was solo. Waited 7 minutes, no server in site, I left. Hostess showed no concern when I said goodbye.

After arriving then settling into our hotel, we were hungry. We walked a fairly short distance along the waterfront and came across the Edgewater. I was a little hesitant because so few people were there but we gave it a go. The waitress was great, very friendly and seemingly wanting us to have the best experience. My wife had the catch of the day (sea bass) which she said was fresh and very tasty. I had the filet magnon which I ordered medium-rare. Though my wife really liked the fish, the vegetables were very heavy on big chunks of cauliflower.... the pieces were quite large and therefore a bit hard. My Filet was good as far as taste but I do believe it had sat a bit before it was served because it was luke warm on the outside. I understand that medium rare might not be very warm in the middle however, the outside should still be quite warm. I felt I had to eat it faster than I wanted so it would not get cold. Overall however the fish and the steak both tasted good.

This was a great afternoon place.....spent the time with great food, good drinks, and people watching. Sat in the deck and thoroughly enjoyed. Drinks made by Tyler and Nikki were really good....:ask and see if they are around They spinach flatbread, crab cakes, and crab bruschetta were excellent....I would suggest you not order the calamari ....looked and tasted like something out of a store Had a few of the vodka infused pineapple with muddled cucumber for a drink and definitely would order if either of the two bartenders are around

Shrimp Cobb was good, crisp bacon, fresh blue cheese, delicious shrimp. Star of the meal was the enormous Cuban on thick toasted bread, enjoyed it for 2 meals, it was so big. The only reason for 4 stars was because of the long wait for our food. Service otherwise was good and the view of the water was incredible, even from inside.

We were walking through Seaport Village and wanted to be able to sit outside for dinner. The view was great, but the food was only ok. My husband had the fish tacos and said that the fish was overcooked. I had the filet and it was just average. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was average. Wouldn't recommend.

Not impressed. There for Lunch time visit. Short wait for table and a long wait for the check! Food was disappointing. Skip it……

I stopped there after a long stay at the USS Midway museum, in need of a break. Chose the fish taco on the menu. The fish on the taco is better than the dish it self. Not we’re the fries crispy. It was still a nice place for a brief stop. The happy hour is only at the bar area inside.

This was a nice place to grab a bite to eat around lunch/early afternoon. We were seated within 10 minutes as we did not have a reservation. The staff was friendly, but they were also forgetful. As a couple we ordered shareable food, and were not given extra plates as promised. We had to ask for condiments. The server took a while to return to the table before we were able to ask. There is also a photographer floating around asking to take pictures. That was making it an uncomfortable experience. The food we ordered was tasty and well cooked.

I saw mixed reviews about the restaurant and realize that some people hard to please and I was right! I could find nothing negative about our experience. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our drinks, appetizers and entrees all tasted very good and were presented very well. Also, the cost of the meal was about $100 less than Sally's (which also was very good).

Our waitress was so much fun! Also, we had a table outside so we could watch people & dogs walking by in addition to the beautiful boats on the water. The split the Caprese salad, which was very large & delicious. My husband had the Poke Nachos which were outstanding & the tuna was some of the best he has ever had.

We had brunch here and it was fantastic! The service was incredible and we were impressed with their gluten free options. My celiac husband tried the carne asada skillet and he said it was very delicious. I loved my fish and chips. They have indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful water views. It’s a little more pricey than some places but well worth it. They will validate your parking if you drive, but we just walked over from the Marriott Marquis.

This restaurant is located in Seaport Village. The view of the San Diego harbor is incredible. My friends always schedule a lunch in the spring as a special outing. The Cobb salad has fresh shrimp,& fresh salad greens. This restaurant has a nice wine list as well. Service was great. We always schedule our girl weekends to include this lunch.

This place has good food in a comfortable setting right in Seaport Village area. We 'stumbled' in for lunch right upon our arrival and had a very good Mahi sandwich and crab bruschetta appetizer. We enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of evenings later for dinner. It was very enjoyable as well. There is outdoor seating, but we opted to sit indoors and the view was fine with less weather distractions.

One of the best Vegetarian Eggs Benedict I ever tasted:) Overall, it is a nice place on San Diego Harbour to take a moment and enjoy.

We stopped in for drinks and had to drink inside for the happy hour. Bartender was an nice guy. Drinks relatively inexpensive. Have 3 drunken fruits to choose from too. The outside seating has view of the bay. Nice place.

Not the best looking venue but the place and toilets are clean and serving staff friendly. I had a flat bread which was fresh and tasty. Hubby had coconut shrimp and beer slider. Nice view of Seaport Bay. Very pleasant.

Came here for breakfast, saw they had a crab cake Benedict option which is one of my favorite dishes. Was rather disappointed with the store-bought cold English muffin not even topped with a crab cake. Came with almost a crab cake slaw on the side of the plate. Beyond the mediocre food, service was prompt and the view was great. Overall, worth a stop to hangout for a bit, but dont expect a stellar meal.

Dined here with a large private party. Food was good, not outstanding. Service was very good and we kept some of the staff past closing time of 9 pm. Since it was a party of 40, we were limited to 5 entrees on the menu. A lot of folks ordered the Seared Tuna and pasta. I had fish tacos which were fresh.

We stopped here for drinks after walking the Bayfront in San Diego. The service was pretty good. We only had drinks and chips and salsa/guacamole. The food was okay. The location is excellent. Beautiful outdoor seating right on the walkway and the water front. It was a nice break in our day to sit and relax. It was in the touristy part, Seaport Village, but it was still a nice afternoon.

The view is nice, the service was good, the vibe was alright, the food was just "ok". Not great value for the price, in my opinion.

I stopped in the Edgewater Grill for lunch after shopping at Seaport Village. I had lunch at 1:00 and they were still serving "brunch" items. I had a mimosa and the french toast. It was so amazing I almost licked the plate. The coconut cream was to die for.

We only wanted a little something for dinner and a nice place to watch the sun go down on the harbor. Edgwater's menu appealed to us and there were plenty of tables available outside. Propt service of water and menus. I ordered clam chowder and hubband had fish and chips and iced tea. Tea was good and class kept filled. The chowder was a bowl of white, almost tasteless glop that soon turned to paste. There seemed to be plenty of potatoes and clams in there, but the paste disguised them. Husband's french fries were well done, but the three pieces of fish were so greasy we needed extra napkins to squeeze it out. Nice place to watch the locals and tourists pass by in the evening.

Our "Fried Tacos" were just excellent, the view across the harbour topped of with all sorts of water sports to watch made our lunch a real unforgettable experience. We will be back.

So having been here many times before and getting good service and food, we had 2 visits with less than stellar service. We contacted the management to let them know about the issues and they said that they would address them. So in SD last Friday decided to give them one last try. Bad move steak was under cooked, fries and coffee cold. Will not be visiting again, and would not recommend this restraint.

Late Post When we first arrived, they said an outside table would be a 45 min wait… we decided not to wait because who really wants to wait that long? I would suggest walking up and reserving tables for outside seating as the scenery is quite beautiful (Then walk around, while you wait) . They first seated us at a table near a window it was too hot and sadly flies filled the window so we requested to move. Still, a bit warm inside, took a min for the ocean breeze to settle in. While ordering we noticed 2-3 outside tables untouched for 10mins which was disappointing to say the least. The service was good, our server was attentive, As for the food – The oysters were good, got the poke nachos but I feel it didn’t pair well with the taro chips, maybe if it were sliced thinner and bit crispier (I would’ve preferred fried wonton chips) Enjoyed the fish burger with the hot fries, didn’t get to try the crab cakes (shellfish allergy) but my friend loved them!! Wasn’t too happy about knowing they probably didn’t have a 45min wait for patio seating (missing star) Poke needed more flavor and the taro chips was a fail (missing star)

In the Seaport village of San Diego, this is a very nice seafront grill. You can sit outside and watch the sunset above the bay. We ordered a fantastic crab soup, followed by ahi steak with risotto. Great food, wine or beer a breathtaking atmosphewre.

Beautiful day in San Diego to sit on the outdoor patio overlooking the bay. Our service was a bit on the slow side but the food was amazing. Loved the bloody mary as well. My husband and I split the brussel sprouts and the chili relleno, both off the appetizer menu. Absolutely delicious! My sister in law had the crab cakes. They were excellent. pretty much just crab and seasonings, not a bunch of filler.

On a fairly busy night 6 of us stopped in. Unfortunately 4 of us received our meals, two did not. The fifth came incorrectly, then finally correctly, the sixth came when the rest of us were done with our meal. No apology was given.

Early Sunday morning visit. Food was OK and coffee was good. Best thing about the place is people watching

Had lunch here on a beautiful San Diego day looking out over the harbor. Good menu offering plenty of option. Being little kiwis we found some of the plates a little big and even what we ordered we should have shared one and then opted for sharing a desert after. What we did order was very nice and we did clean it up!! The restaurant was busy being a Saturday at noontime but there were plenty of seats available in the wrap around balconies offering for parties from 2 persons upwards, perhaps our area was a little tight for groups larger than about 4 or 5. Service was quick, we had the small bottles of prosecco and then the tow sandwiches we ordered arrived. The meals were fine, the chips a little cool, so there was no room for that dessert we really wanted. Not a lot of space outside for wheelchairs where we were sitting.

We had a party of 10 on a Friday evening so we tried to be gracious. The food and drinks were delicious. However, we waited more than 15 minutes to have our orders taken. Then another 45 minutes to receive food. Two orders were incorrect and had to be redone. One order did not come out at all-when the waiter was asked about it multiple times he always said "it will be right out". We asked for a manager multiple times before she finally appeared. To her credit, she did deduct about 25 percent from the bill. I would be willing to try again since the food was so good, but perhaps at a less crowded time and with a smaller party.

Sitting on the patio overlooking the crystal-blue water and watching the sailboats float by was the highlight of our day while strolling around Seaside Village. The food was excellent as was the service. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

I came here with my friend for brunch and had a wonderful time. We ordered mimosa flights, guac and chips, and I got a fruit and yogurt plate. The staff were prompt and attentive, the food was good, and the view was beautiful.

It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon, perfect for a lunch visit to the Edgewater Grill in Seaport Village. The Mrs and I snagged a couple of patio seats overlooking the bay and since we weren't starved, we decided to share a couple of appetizers and drinks. So we indulged with the crabcakes and the creative lobster & goat cheese chili relleno. Both were outstanding, especially the relleno. For the drinks the wife selected their signature Mission Beach margarita and I opted for the raspberry infused Colorado Cooler. Both were not only quite tasty but on the potent side to boot - hats off to the bartender!!!

We had a wonderful dinner here - wandering through Seaport Village!! Great food and service. One of our favorite meals while in San Diego.

My husband and I were visiting from Naples, FL and decided to stop in Edgewater Grill for a drink and an appetizer. Behind the bar was Nick and Nick and they were terrific! I asked what app they would suggest for my husband and I to share. Nick 1 said the Poke nachos so we ordered them and they didn't disappoint. Plenty of tuna and tasty taro chips. Chatted with Nick and Nick a bunch about the area as we were there for 4 nights. The nachos were so good we showed up there two days later to have more. When visiting the area we'll be back Edgewater Grill!

Ate there tonight with my family of four. Every meal was a problem. One person ordered fish and chips. The first piece he ate had five bones. We sent it back and the replacement meal was terrible. One person in my party ordered a steak med-well, came well done (not a huge deal) and mashed potatoes were terrible. My husband got a fillet mignon which he said was not cooked the way he ordered and tasted bad. I ordered the seafood risotto and requested it be made with shrimp instead of fish. I was told they could do that. Instead, I was given the mushroom risotto with shrimp. I specifically did not order the mushroom risotto because I hate mushrooms. Furthermore, the risotto was cold. With one Coca Cola the bill was over $200. We left and went to McDonalds. The only positive was our waiter who was pleasant and helpful. Don't waste your money.

We have eaten breakfast and lunch her for many years when visiting. Always a great view of the harbor and you can people watch out front. Food is good and not too expensive, but certainly not inexpensive. Clam chowder good. Other menu items good, too. Never had a bad meal here and waitstaff is attentive and friendly.

Edgewater grill is amazing in every way. Incredible views, fantastic food and excellent service highly recommend!

Front of house servers good when seating us, my partners Diet Coke was flat, my beer was fine. Fish and chips totally over cooked, dry, hard and inedible. Server agreed and did not charge us for main meals. Not what we expected for such a prominent position!

Came here with a table of 10 and they split us up into two tables of 5 and the place was absolutely dead, there were about 20 people in the whole place. So, the apps were great the bruschetta and the Ahi. I had the stuffed scallops which were very good. Nice spot on the water and would come back.

If you want to dine right by the harbor, are hungry but not in a big rush, this is a good option. Their burgers are very good and the she crab soup is excellent! It is a great place to dine when the weather is beautiful.

We sat on the patio. The view was nice and it was fun to watch people on the Embarcado. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The food was perfectly fine. The clam chowder lacked some flavor and seasoning. Omelet and pancakes were as to be expected. Excellent Bloody Mary.

Great location directly on the waterfront, come for the views alone! The food was good, nothing special but arrived quickly and decently portioned. There are probably better options for food, but the location is what sells it!

We had dinner at Edgewater on a Sunday night. It's in a nice location on the water. We had reservations but they weren't crowded. Our food was very good.....fresh and well prepared. The restaurant itself could use some work. The decor is outdated and the furniture is worn. Our server was very nice but seemed to have a lot of tables. Her job seemed to be to take order and bring drinks.....someone else brought the food and a third person cleared the tables. If the decor and service was improved to match the quality of the food, this place would easily be 4 or even 5 stars.

I love to dine outside and if there is a nice view - even better. Edgewater Grill has the best view in Seaport possible - the Beautiful San Diego Bay and the USS Midway. With great service and good food it was perfect. My Crab Cake appetizer made a perfect light lunch. Two crab cakes with an arugula salad paired with a glass of Pinot Grigio and I was in heaven. My husband enjoyed their Clam Chowder but would have preferred warm crab on his Crab Bruschetta instead of cold.

Nice water front setting. We sat out which was good. Food was good and service was quick. Minimal wait for a table but that was around 8pm on a Friday Eve.

A relaxed, friendly place for Mahi-Mahi fish tacos ($18 each for two large tacos). Thought I ordered ceviche with fish, but it came with tiny frozen shrimp ($18). It was OK. Margaritas ($14) were great.

if you are in San Diego, you have to stop by for a bite and a drink at the Edgewater Grill. I have now been there twice, and highly recommend! Food is good and drinks are awesome :) Recommend the Loco Lemonade (and there is another one that has infused vodka, cucumbers, yum). Tiny birds will ask politely for crumbs. Sailboats in the harbor. People watching, you name it, this place has it.

Our group at a business meeting went to this location because of it’s proximity to our hotel. It sits on a great location over looking the water. The margaritas and our entrees were very good, our service was very good as well. Was disappointed that the nachos were not complimentary. Also, the restaurant’s physical appearance inside is tired and could need an update, but that did not impact the quality of the food.

The rating says it all - the worst meal of our trip by a country mile. The service was slow and required prompting, the food was even worse. I had the fish and chips. The fish was fish fingers rather than a full fish fillet as expected. It had a nasty aftertaste. I stripped off the batter and ate as much as I could stomach. Even the fries were disappointing.

Very happy, the place was dead on a Monday evening but the food was great. We all split a margarita pizza to start which was very good. The stuffed scallops were great. The heat lamps on the patio made it very comfortable sitting outside. I would come back again.

Ate here twice in one week! Brunch here is amazing, i had the crab omelet! and then lunch is equally as good with the shrimp tacos! Great drinks! Right on the water of the bay, would definitely recommend.

Great service, tremendous views, good food and drinks. Enjoyed the scallops stuffed with crab. The coconut shrimp was deep fried and no coconut and the calamari was over cooked which was a surprise. The brownie sundae was outstanding.

The restaurant has a nice vibe. The bar is long and inviting. There is seating inside and out. Most tables have a view of the bay. The staff is courteous and helpful. We split two dishes. We had the fish tacos which were excellent and flavorful. We also ordered the tuna melt which didn’t have much taste. It was bland. It needed a distinctive taste, maybe pickled ginger or a reduced soy sauce, or both. But we found it blah. The portions are filling and the fries were hot, crispy, and salty. We ordered two items and no drinks, our bill before tip was $41.

Located in the Seaport Village area right on the water. What a great view. Were given a table outside on the verandah (prebooked) and watched the sunset whilst we ate. Great to people watch as well. Party of 3 ordered 2 burgers and fish and chips and all meals were delicious. Would definately recommend.

Came here with family of 6. Food was mediocre. Clam chowder soup disappointing. Salmon did not taste fresh- or perhaps was just over cooked. Nice view of the water.

Nice views, cold food and horrible service. Tried to eat brunch before our flight home. Our bussers took our drink and then came back to take food order. Our server, Josh, never checked on us. The busser said “I don’t know where Josh is” We finally saw him a few minutes later asking if they got our order. Our order was wrong - meat in my wife’s vegetarian omelet- and it took over 40 minutes to get a new omelet. We sat the whole time with empty glasses and dirty dishes. We watched as other orders were taken and delivered wile we waited for an omelet. No apologizes no comp for the order. Just another 10 minutes of waiting before we had to flag down somebody ti bring us the bill. The place had 10 customers max. No management apparent, which makes sense given the lack of service. We went a couple nights earlier for dinner and happened to have Josh again and service was equally as bad. We gave him a pass since it was a crowded special event night on the water but clearer the management doesn’t care about a quality dining experience.

The restaurant had nice views, the staff were polite and we were seated right away. However, the food was not that great and the price we paid was too high.

It has a beautiful view, great food and good service. We were there for a late lunch and noticed that we were not the only ones. It was noisy and at one point I could barely hear the waitress but it got a bit better eventually and we ended up having a great lunch.

The location is fabulous and that is about the only thing positive I can say about this place. The host who seated us was indifferent to us. That should have been the first clue. Although our waiter was very nice he was definitely working at a disadvantage at a place that generally did not care. The food was cold and my husband received the wrong order. Our waiter was too busy to check on us to let him know anyting. We had no salt or pepper for our eggs. It was earlier in the day so not terribly busy yet. We understand during these tough covid times that waits are longer and we are patient because of this but would not recommend this place unless you were just going in for a drink and the ambiance perhaps. The views are great and the outdoor seating very nice.

Popped into ask for a table on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of empty tables inside and out but was told 25min wait. All good, we sat at the bar, when my partner popped over to ask if we could be seated outside he was told that no reservation was required for the beach chairs out back. So we moved from the bar to a table out back, only to be questioned by a member of staff as to why we were sitting there. We explained the host on reception told us we could sit outside. A minute later another waiter came out and told us abruptly that we had to move as people were waiting on the table. There were lots of empty tables around, no apology, no we can seat you elsewhere. Worst service and manners I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Would never recommend this place!

Impromptu light dinner and drinks with work colleagues. Sat indoors at a great table with a magical view of the setting sun. Great menu, including good wine. Fish tacos on point, as was the calamari. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Will look forward to next trip there.

Overall San Diego has the best of everything. The best beaches, micro breweries on every corner, friendly people, the greatest zoo, and let's not forget the best weather on the planet. What San Diego lacks is hospitality. There is a general rule throughout the city, everyone home by 10 pm. I have eaten at this restaurant several times, one of the best places in San Diego for both food and views of the city. I have never seen such a frenzied service as at this place. The entire staff seemed to be running to catch the express flight to Shanghai. Even before we could finish our main course the check was presented. The lights were raised the entire place basically was closed, it was still 9:45pm with many tables still eating. No offer of dessert or coffee. We did ask for an after dinner drink we were told no. The waiter basically disappeared. Set your stop watch because at 10pm in San Diego you will be finished with your meal weather you like it or not.

Tyler our bartender is absolutely amazing. Very good drinks and he’s knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend going in.

My daughter and I wanted to grab a light dinner after enjoying Seaport Village, and this spot fit the bill. Despite the chilly weather we wanted to sit outside while the sun set. Dining on the patio allowed us to enjoy views of the bay, with a huge naval vessel passing by, and people watching as well. The heaters made us perfectly comfortable, service was great and the mahi fish tacos were very good. Not a huge portion with 2 tacos, but we didn’t want any leftovers to deal with. Highly recommend for the views and a decent meal.

What a wonderful view to have a nice lunch by! The food was very good. I’m vegetarian and they had really nice food options to choose from.

Have walked by this place a few times, was not interested due to the reviews. We had 3:00pm Harbor Cruise tickets on a Sunday afternoon and everywhere I wanted to eat was too crowded so we decided to eat here for their Brunch. We had about a 20 minute to get a table overlooking the boardwalk, great for people watching. Out server was great, wish I could remember her name. We were both pleasantly surprised based on some of the reviews we had read. I had the fish tacos, usually my go to at most restaurants, my wife had the Grilled Chicken and Brie Melt sandwich. I enjoyed my fish tacos and my wife loved her sandwich. The drinks were good, serve was friendly. We would definitely go here again.
Great food
We wanted a dinner with good food and we found it. My husband enjoyed a hamburger that he loved. I had the best fish tacos that I've found at a restaurant. The wine and margarita were also generous and very good.
