Amazing

By Tom S |

My daughter recommended this place. Being from New Orleans and Miami, both world renowned for the food, I found this place to have the best Italian I think I've ever had. It's a small, very small, white cloth tabletop family run restaurant. I couldn't decide what was better, the food, the wine selection, or the atmosphere. Definitely make reservations early. I'd also leave the kids behind. The clientele and the small size don't lend themselves to kids.

Just a step from the obvious

By NJArnfield |

Our hotel staff recommended this nearby restaurant and we were glad we followed their suggestion. Clearly a place frequented by locals it was small but not cluttered with a friendly staff and an interesting (but not huge) menu. Prices were very reasonable, staff was pleasant, and patrons were clearly enjoying their conversations and their dinners without feeling rushed.

Great casual dinner

By Tricia C |

Great casual dinner in a nice quiet, enclosed, outdoor sidewalk patio. Good service Accommodating seating without reservations. I would recommend

Good food, nice atmosphere

By MGGRO |

We stayed at a nearby hotel and went to Eduardo's Enoteca once for lunch and a few days later for dinner. Although the choices were a bit limited, the food was excellent and the service was delightful. The only advice I'd like to give is: don't sit in the chairs right next to the windows. The AC is mounted in the ceiling right along the window side of the room and it blows down on whoever sits there. I hope the restaurant does something to remedy this problem. There is also a nice sidewalk deck with warming lamps. We didn't try it out because of noisy street construction at the time.

Staff Treated Me Like Family!

By happymallqueen |

What started as the worst blind date in history ended with a nice evening with great people- friends and off-duty staff of the restaurant chatted with me. We talked about cooking, school, careers, relationships... Great wine, excellent salad and soup!

Charming small place with great food

By Gayle M |

Enjoyed a great pasta seafood dish and ironed chicken dinner. Small plates, large plates, pizza, pasta and much more. Interesting wine list! Outdoor seating and great service. Give this busy neighborhood place a try.

Visit at least once and more if you can!

Got to sit outside in the cold due to the heated patio! Debbie was great and we ate very well. Salad, pasta, great drinks. During the day this is a bagel shop

Wonderful food and excellent service

By JTMWFam |

Great meal on a Friday night. Had the fig and Miele pizza—delicious. And our server, Debbie, was the best. We’ll definitely return to this place!

Excellent Italian Comfort Food

By Bruce F |

The chef in the kitchen is obviously very skilled. I ordered a shrimp appetizer which was grilled to perfection. And the lobster ravioli was some of the best I’ve ever had. Look for daily specials listed on the blackboard. A variety of wines is offered with an emphasis on Italian. Service is friendly and efficient. This is a really popular restaurant suitable not only for special occasions but also everyday dining. I decided to try this restaurant a second time to see if it is still as good as when I first visited. The chef in the kitchen is obviously very skilled. Great food and drink!

By Tina S |

We live in the neighborhood and love the menu as they add seasonal food and cocktails. I’m a big fan of their salads and pizzas. The Elote pizza was creative and delicious. Our recent visit, we sat outside and Debbie was our server. We couldn’t believe how she managed to give us attentive service while handling both inside and outside.

Great food in a neighborhood setting

By Dede2015 |

Really enjoyed our visit to Eduardo's. We saw the owner/chef on the morning show while visiting Chicago and thought we would give the restaurant try. It was delicious. had the Tagliatelle Bolognese and salad. Would definitely come back. Would like to try the brunch.

Amazing stuffed pizza, service so-so

By Marilynn76 |

We stayed at Hotel Indigo next door; our first trip to Chicago and we went to Edwardo's both nights. It was the only pizza we had in Chicago. The stuffed (we had pepperoni and sausage) was AMAZING. The sauce was really fresh tasting and light and the cheese was really good. The second night we had a thin crust half and half; on my half I had chicken and mushrooms. I wasn't so impressed with that one, it was pretty bland. So I would definitely go with the stuffed next time. The service was really lacking. We were seated quickly both nights but after that it was SLOW. We sat waiting a long time for drink refills and I had to go in search of some cutlery. Not a problem if you have plenty of time, which we did, but if we were in more of a hurry I would've been pulling my hair out.

Cosy wine bar with excellent vegetarian/vegan selection of food

By Shelly F |

This place was so good that as we left after finishing our meal we booked it for the following day. It's listed as a wine bar but it is so much more than that. Again it was near our hotel, we walked past it a couple of times and opted to try it out the day before the run, getting the carbs in. The menu is excellent, so much to chose from. I went for pizza, not wanting to change my routine too much but was eyeing up the vegan bolognese, and not one but two vegetarian burgers. I decided then we could return to try those out. The wine list is excellent, large selection of Italian wines, understandably so. I went with the Pinot Noir whilst my wife opted for a flight of the Italian reds, she likes to try out different ones. Upon our return the day after I tried the vegan bolognese. It was delicious, comforting warm food on a chilly Chicago day. The lobster ravioli was the best she's ever had, high praise from someone who loves their seafood. With such a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, we spent another couple of hours sampling the various wines on offer and watching the world go by from the small bar. If we go back to Chicago, it's the first place we'll be heading to.

A tale of two places . . . . : - I

By saolsen11 |

Read some great reviews. It is a small (ish) place. The menu is inviting. The service was just a bit better than OK. And, then the table next to us was later filled by a spatting couple. She was obnoxious. The food was tasty. The wine list is fairly extensive, and prices are OK. The architecture (inside the restaurant) is quite interesting. And, the shared dessert ( tiramisu . . . or did we have profiteroles?) was tasty. I would like to try Eduardo's again . . . .

Fabulous brunch

By Diane K |

We thoroughly our brunch on Sunday. My husband had the brioche French toast - loaded with berries. I had the Piedmont Omelette - which had great sweet caramelized onions and mushrooms. Learned from the manager that the owner is the grandson of the original Eduardo's that had been at this location a few years back. Service was good. Prices were right for the area also.

Great food and atmosphere

This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with food that is amazing! Everything about this restaurant is great.

Sunday visit

By FMOChicago |

Sunday around 3p.m. Was trying to have a nice relaxing lunch. Sat indoors. There was another table occupied. Place was practically empty. Service was sloppy. Took a while to get the food. Ordered a pizza and a glass of chianti. After I finished I asked for desert and an after dinner drink. Was planning to have another drink and coffee. All of a sudden, the waiter drops the check on my table without asking if I was finished. I find it extremely rude to be presented with a check when I did not ask for it and very presumptuous of the waiter to assume that I was finished and that it was time for me to leave. Left the drink and desert on the table, went to the waiter paid him and left no tip. Waiters must learn to be smart and not to present a check unless the customer asks. Perhaps they would get a better tip that way. This place sucks. I live nearby and there are other places where I can spend $50 and receive decent service. Will never go to this place again.

a waste of time and money

By MustaphaEido |

we were two friends , first it is not easy to find if you were walking , very small restaurant , very very dark atmosphere , the food is expensive according to the small portion they afford and nothing special about it , i blamed my friend for his choice and he accept that

Hidden Gem

By Jack M |

My favorite spot in the Gold Coast, a perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant or a great spot for a drink. Julianna is the best server, great wine and app recs.

Very good. Loved it.

By jefflef |

Fantastic! The food and service were excellent. Debbie was our server and gave us excellent recommendations. Thank you. I will return.

Pleasant and tasty

By Janettravels44 |

This place is within a walk of where we live and one of 3 or 4 places we go back to often. Recently my son the Portland foodie and his girlfriend were in town and we went there one evening. One of the things I love is that they very gracefully serve family style on request. Our usual pattern is to order a salad, then a pasta, then a pizza for the table. On this visit we had a lovely avacado, arugula, parmessan salad which was ample for the 3 of us to share (or on a previous visit for me and my husband to share). We were provided with individual plates for sharing. The second course was a gnocci with bacon and an egg on top; this was a small serving appropriate for one person, but adequate for the three of us with two pizzas still to come. It is a rich dish and one I would prefer to have in a small portion. It is very tasty -- we have ordered it several times and it is always good. The gnocci are light and tender and who doesn't like bacon and eggs? My husband and I had ordered a white pizza on a previous visit which was excellent. This visit we had an artichoke pizza and a diavolo. Their pizzas are large dinner plate size and with the classic thin Italian crust. One yields a few slices to take home when my husband and I dine here on salad and pasta -- but with a bigger eater, the three of us polished off these two lovely pizzas. By doing the family style with three courses we ended up with exactly the right amount of food and a reasonable bill. As the name would imply there is a good wine list and wine by glass or bottle. They also have fancy cocktails -- It is a great place to stop for a snack and a chat with friends over a few drinks or for a dinner although the menu is limited to salads, pastas and pizzas. We are glad to have such a high quality wine bar in the neighborhood.

Perfect late dinner spot.

By Amy G |

Flew in from KC and Eduardos was close to my hotel. Debbie did a remarkable job, she was the only server and she handled all of the customers with authenticity and kindness. She was so busy and kept a smile on her face. Really great experience!

Friendly, cozy, great food and drinks.

By Jennifer C |

Walked in for lunch and were surprised to have such a great meal in this little gem of a place. Nice original cocktails, great pizza, amazing salad and appetizer. I wish this restaurant was in my neighborhood!

Excellence at Eduardo's Enoteca

By sweetmnmama |

This is a quaint Gold Coast neighborhood gem that serves up tasty Italian food at comfortable prices - from the Shrimp Avocado Crostini and the Napoletana meatballs in marinara, the Lemon Caesar Insalate, the Tagliatelle Bolognese and a Diavolo Pizze, not to be outdone by the best lemon cake we have ever had in our travels. This is an establishment that we look forward to on our next visit to Chicago!

Quaint & Attentive

By McRoadTrip |

Stopped in on a whim on a Saturday as we meandered along Dearborn Street and were pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed some Artisanal Cheese, Charcuterie, and Cocktails. Scene was Vibrant - Staff was Attentive and People watching galore. We Shall Return

Excellent service and wine.

By M. Manuel |

Excellent service (thanks Julianna!) and wine. Good food, charming and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our family dinner.

Overated, a mix of good and bad ...

By Patocha |

First the Good: Decor was nice and food was ok. Nice little terrasse outside on a side street if the weather permits. The not so Good: The service was so ordinary, almost indifferent, like the waiter wished he was somewhere else. We felt rushed and got our bill as we swallowed our last bite. We aloso found that the music did not fit with the place at all, it was so boring, like Journey, James Taylor, Elton John ballads ... music my grand-mother listens to fall asleep. In 2016, a restaurant that pretends to be "hip & trendy" should not neglect the music, which is important to create an ambiance as the furniture and the lighting. .

Very relaxing dinner

By hhunter15 |

Have frequented this small little hideaway many times while in Chicago starting off with a zucchini Primavera appetizer then on to a lemon pepper Pasta followed by a beet salad ending with a margarita pizza sharing this with a friend A bottle of Italian red wine made it a perfect evening once again

Hidden Gem - GO !

By FreqSCTraveler |

I stumbled upon this place walking from my nearby hotel, stopped in an ate on the patio. great vibe and ambience inside and outside the restaurant. Great wine list and knowledgeable and attentive wait staff and management. Modeled well after several cozy Italian bistro's I've been to in Italy and NYC neighborhoods. Well done Eduardo's and a gem for the Gold Cost - Delicious

My favorite piza in Chicago!

By Linda C |

This is by far my favorite pizza in Chicago. Just the right amount of everything. Love the stuffed Spinach pizze the best. And I love the cheese they use. So tasty! I walways bring friends here when I am in town. Never had a bad pizza here - ever!

BEST PIZZA

By olive697 |

This was a random stop in to grab a quick bite which turned into a lovely surprise. Our server, Lee, was truly delightful and recommended the pizza. It came out quickly and we devoured it even quicker. Awesome pizza and service. We will DEFINITELY be back.

You can believe the great reviews!

By dixiexpat |

Had a great "big red" to open this weekend and wanted something meaty and cheesy to go with it. Can't explain why I've walked by some many times. The Stuffed All-Meat Combo Pizza was incredible. Got a medium, my wife and I will finish it tonight. (Sorry my big red wine ran out). This is so much better than anything we've had from the "name" pizza places. Glad I was doing pick up, the restaurant was packed on Sunday night. I'll be back there soon.

Authentic Italian

By Ken J |

Started with the crostini. I had the Parma, my wife had the Shrimp and Avocado. Both were delicious. The red wine flights were great selections -I highly recommend the bold flight. We both had pasta dishes. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was authentic Italian and very hearty. I tasted my wife's Fusilli Funghi Ragù. I would recommend them both. We were too full for dessert but ended our meal with limoncello. Overall a great dining experience

Lovely spot

By Nicole L |

This is a cute little neighborhood restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and great quality tasty food. We sat outside on a balmy night and it was perfect!

Don't believe the hype!

By lancashirelass002 |

We visited this restaurant due to the amazing reviews. However we were left very disappointed - I have tasted much better food in other restaurants in the area and the service was rushed (we were asked about dessert when the main course was still being eaten!). This place always appears busy so may be just a one off but I will not be rushing back as I have found that there are much better restaurants in this area.

Great little hidden spot

By Steve |

Great little off-the-beaten path spot in the noisy Viagra Triangle. Fantastic food. Great service and a low-key vibe. Can highly recommend this wonderful place.

Hot wine and mediocre pizza

By rhctraveler |

Tried the south Dearborn location for dinner last night. I have never eaten here before. I had their deep dish specialty and it was unimpressive. The cheese on top wasn't really melted. The onion, peppers and mushrooms were still raw but warm. The told me it would take 30 minutes or so for the pizza and it did but it was still sort of raw tasting. There was very little meat on the pizza and the meat wasn't very flavorful. Maybe I just got a bad pizza. The red wine was warm.

Very Enjoyable Experience

By Jack M |

We went for the first time on Saturday night and had a great experience. Debbie was a great waitress and made our experience very enjoyable. The Burrata appetizer with crostini's was incredible. We will certainly be back soon.

L.O.V.E.

By WillWork4Food |

We often have walked by this great neighborhood gem, but finally made it for dinner. Wonderful spot. Menu is great, supplemented with seasonal specials. Cocktails and food are spot on. Great Italian food, with nice twists .. great service and a nice/ cozy space. Moving to the top of our neighborhood fav list.

Pretty good~~

By William C |

Came here for lunch. Had the spaghetti bolognese and the meatballs~ very delicious although the pasta was a bit undercooked. Love the ambience of the restaurant and the servers were great too. Would come back~~

Love this place

By 610darlenea |

Back at Eduardo's yet again for a great dinner with a great server named Debbie. She suggested that we try one of their seasonal specials which was the roasted chicken. It was delicious SO delicious we licked the plates clean. The bolognese was delicious. Burrata with the roasted tomatoes was a big hit. Ps, we have celiac issues in our group for dinner. NO PROBLEM at Eduardos. Thank you for great food and great service. Debbie is a 🌟 star.

Average Italian Food at Best

By Fontek |

I live in the neighborhood and thought I'd try Eduardo's for dinner on a Sunday night. The small inside space was full, so we sat at a sidewalk table. The server was friendly and competent, but not remarkable (hence "average" rating). The food was in the "low average" range. I had pasta and seafood (bay scallops, muscles, and shrimp in a "spicy" sauce). The sauce was actually quite bland and the shrimp and scallops had an odd taste; not spoiled, but also not pleasant. The lobster ravioli contained small amounts of lobster mean but lacked fresh taste. The pizza was okay, but not remarkable. I have to rate the food as average at best (for taste and freshness), but perhaps this was a bad Sunday night for them. With many other great Old Town restaurants, I'm not in a hurry to give them a second chance.

The Chicago Pizza you Envision. Correctly.

By Kalyan P |

When the topic of Chicago Pizza comes up - think Edwardo's Natural Pizza. You will not be disappointed. We stopped here after the lunch crowd, and we were a little nervous. It is not a secret most restaurants do not like to serve between lunch and dinner. This is their downtime. This is when the servers and kitchen staff recharge from the lunch crowd, but also prepare for dinner. We did not experience this at Edwardo's. Our waiter was very patient, accommodating, and overall - just a very nice guy. He provided us excellent service. He recommended the bruschetta - which was fantastic - as an appetizer. But the real treat was the pizza. We ordered a small sausage and pepperoni stuffed pizza, with extra tomato sauce on the side (for me). Chicago has hundreds of pizza places. And they all claim to be the best. They all flash their awards and quote magazine and newspaper articles that mentions their name. And a lot of them are good; but a lot of them are also a joke. Simply put, sometimes you feel like you are playing Russian Roulette when walking into a "Chicago Pizza" place. Edwardo's is the real thing. We inhaled the whole pizza. We felt guilty afterwards. But we would do it again. In a heartbeat. Edwardo's is definitely one of the top three pizza places we would quickly recommend to a friend while visiting Chicago.

Hidden Gem in Gold Coast

By HCKM |

We stumbled upon this place by luck. Excellent Italian food in a cozy environment on a quiet Gold Coast residential street. Service was impeccable. Our waiter gave us good recommendations and came back to check on us throughout our meal. We had the seafood pasta and the Bolognese pasta. Lots of ingredients and the pasta tasted so fresh that I am guessing they probably made it themselves. Pizza was equally good, just baked to perfection. Wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. They are also knowledgeable about the wine they carry and can offer recommendations for pairing if needed. Looking forward to go back again. This is now one of my two favorite Italian restaurants in the city.

Lucky find...but great service and even better food!!

By David P |

got into a cab on way to airport and asked him to take us to a pizza place before we left Chicago! we expected deep dish we have to be honest!! but he told us to trust him and very glad we did! awesome pizza and great service!

We love Debbie

By TNJN1120 |

Debbie has been taking great care of us for some time now. She is the best. The pizza and the vibe in the restaurant are also quite good!

Absolute local gem

By chris l |

Had a perfect meal at Eduardo’s Enoteca, service was friendly and informative and the food was all delicious. Would recommend it to couples looking for a nice meal out in an intimate space.

Delicious meal in an intimate setting

By Jake H |

I ate at this restaurant due to its proximity to the hotel I was staying in, and it turned out to be one of my favorite meals I had on the trip. I had a glass of white wine that was satisfying, and a pasta dish with meat ragu that was fantastic. The tiramisu hit the spot. It's a very cute restaurant, perfect for a nice dinner with friends, coworkers, or a date.

Still Great Deep Dish Pizza

By Bonnie T |

We ordered a spinach and onion deep dish pizza but were delivered a broccoli and onion deep dish pizza. It was still good, although a bit disappointing. We also ordered a salad with butternut squash, farrow, pumpkin seeds, and more. And it was delicious. We’d love to get that again!

Delicious Brunch

By CiaoCrissi |

My husband and I went for brunch today and I can't wait to go back. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast pizza and Gorgonzola Sausage Omelette were unique and amazingly tasty. Love the vibe and the food! Will definitely go back!

Wine and Pasta, basta.

By Rolf A |

A small place with outdoor seating. A to the point short menu. Had a fine wine from Messina and zucchini pasta, garlic/tomato pasta and chicken in just the right portions to share and have as a main meal. Friendly wait staff knows the wine list and menu's ingredients.

Great service and approach to wine tasting

By Richard S |

I was just going for a walk and notice the outdoor tables were filled with patrons. I went in to look around and ended up staying for a light meal. Pre Fixe menu was excellent and in include wine pairings. Just what I needed

Disappointing.

By Brian F |

We were looking for good pizza in Chicago. We had this little restuarant recommended. The waitress was kind and prompt but not sure of the menu. The food was mediocre at best. We sat outside and were accosted by a rat (rodentia). Not sure if this is common to sidewalk dining but it spooked us.

Tiny treasure in Miracle Mile neighborhood

By MaryIN |

Just steps down from the Hotel Indigo where I was staying, this is my new favorite neighborhood spot. Small, intimate and urban contemporary, the food was delicious and affordable. We started with a Pearsecco cocktail - pear nectar, cinnamon syrup and Prosecco, then shared mozzarella crostini, an eggplant pizza and a real taste of spring - house made spaghetti with lemon and rosemary. Capped it off with tiramisu. Had we gone a little easier on the wine, it would have been the most affordable meal we'd had all week. We will definitely be back for summer dining al fresco, and it seems like a wonderfully cozy spot for a cold winter respite. Love Eduardo's Enoteca!

Best steamed mussels in the world!

By palajawa |

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and when ever I go to visit my daughter we have to stop. Small but intimate setting is a perfect place to share wine and catching up with friends and family. Very friendly staff. I feel they have the best steamed mussels anywhere!

Mid-afternoon Stop

By Robert Y |

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon for a quick bite. The menu makes you feel like you are in Italy. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the service from Tyler was outstanding. It’s located a few steps away from Hotel Indigo on Dearborn. So if you are staying there it’s a nice place to stop. Wonderful food!

Best customer service

By Laura O |

Had such a great experience! We had a man named Darragh serving us! He was an absolute pleasure and made sure we had everything we could need . Would definitely recommend coming here especially with service like this

Good times

By Ronda C |

Julianna was our server and was top notch. Made us feel very welcome and accommodated our requests. Food was delicious and so filling. Highly recommend stopping by for an evening. Looking forward to coming again.

Wonderful food, service & atmosphere!

By ARA133 |

Came here for Brunch right when they opened on a Saturday (11am) and it was easy to get a table. The place is absolutely charming - tiny inside with a nice patio when the weather is warm, but the inside decor is rustic and cozy and really cute. Our waiter, Adam, was so much fun and extremely friendly and accommodating! There were 5 of us and we ordered 3 pizzas, a pasta and an appetizer to share and it was a TON of food - all excellent! The summer cocktails were also delicious and refreshing. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Great experience highly recommend

By Francis K |

The food and ambience are both excellent. My server, Melissa, made for a very enjoyable experience. She was great. Melissa’s recommendations for food and beverage were both right on the money

Good Food

By David A |

I was on business and this place was located literally right next to the hotel. Its a nice oittle place with outdoor seating. They were booked so I sat at the bar. I had the lobster ravioli which was good, but a tad bit heavy on the lime juice, but very good. I also got a pizza which was really good too. Ingredients all tasted fresh, and the service was good. Seems like a very popular place. I would make an effort to come back on my next trip.

superbly tasty

By Rolf A |

This small treasure serves tasty delights from their pasta of the day to their earthy mushroom soup, the food offerings here are always superb. They also have a fine wine selection that is moderately priced.

Nice wine bar

By Elizabeth C |

The hubby and I went here for date night on a Monday. Got there at 830, and the place was pretty empty. The decor is really upscale rustic and cozy, we sat in the front by the string lights and window, not cold at all as well as I was concerned being 0 degrees outside! We started with the chauterie plate, with suggestions by the waiter. The honey goat was amazing, as well as the prosciutto and buffalo Gorgonzola. Was super disappointed by the pecorino, I get better at the store. We had two glasses of wine, which were about 12 for a large pour. I know some people are put off by this, but the selection is really good and more expensive bottles, hence the price, there were some glasses that were below 10 tho for a big pour, so lots of options. It still was cheaper than the extreme markup at Eataly. For dinner, we got the mushroom fusilli pasta, and the divola pizza. My husband said the pizza was the best he has had all year, and I loved the subtle truffle oil in the pasta, usually it is way overpowering. They said the pizza would be 10-12 inches, it was way bigger. Probably like a medium dominoes pizza. I loved that they served everything family style, made dinner more romantic and more of an experience sharing plates. The menu is small, but it supposed to be an Italian wine bar, not Italian restaurant. Truly felt like somewhere we would have gone in Tuscany, and will definitely be back again. Two 6oz wines, 4 piece charcuterie board, pizza, and pasta set us back about 90 after tax and tip, but we did get more expensive wines and an extra cheese on our board, plus we probably could have done with just the pizza but its date night :) they do have a really good selection of draft and bottle beer if people are watching their budget. Will be back, especially during the summer when the patio is open. Also they redid the entrance so the picture with the awning is not accurate. My only wish is I lived downtown, not the burbs, so I could get this delivered!

low key, high performance

By Muralto60 |

Highly creative cuisine, with high quality food, very friendly service and a cozy ambience are the elements which make dining at this restaurant so enjoyable. The food, moreover is moderately priced. The interior is decorated unconventionally and rather casual. Definitely a must if one is looking for something beyond conventional dishes!

Checking out the neighborhood

By daniel a |

While cat sitting in this area my partner and I decided to check out some restaurants nearby and found this one on our google search. It has limited seating so best to make a reservation or call ahead as we did to check seating availability. Both of us were very pleased with the food we ordered mine was the Lemon Herb Salmon and my partner ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese. They bring a basket of warm rustic bread along with two different spreads which were both very good. Although the restaurant is small which results in the tables being in close proximity and very little waiting room area it should not be passed up by any means as the food was delicious and presentation was perfect. I will surely go back again and hope anyone traveling in this area has time to check it out!

Delicious!

By yvonnec551 |

What a find! We saw a few potential patrons walk by and we are sorry for their loss of this wonderful dining experience. Eduardo's is a quaint dining experience with maybe 10 tables. Go there for brunch on a beautiful day and sit at one of the tables outside. We ate lunch there and the hand formed thin crust pizza was truly the best pizza we have ever eaten. The salads were fresh and healthy with delicious ingredient combinations. Service was wonderful. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Chicago.

Strong drinks good food

By Hannah K |

Drink was SUPER strong. Debbie was nice. Food was really good. We got the cacio e Pepe pizza and the gnocchi both great 10/10 give me 14 of them right now.

Lovely Outdoor Tables

By S E |

OK, I'm influenced by the great little outdoor seating area. It was a perfect day and I was really hungry. That will all make for a good review. The food was good. I went inside and it was dark. Maybe that's good when the weather is colder.

Better than Gino's East

By Rich30350 |

Ordered the spinach pizza....it was great. The dough was lighter than Gino's and the taste of the pizza much better.

A fun evening with excellent service

By TNJN1120 |

We enjoyed a very nice evening at Eduardo’s on Halloween. Our server Julianna was outstanding, very prompt and personable.

Small, quaint Euro bistro

By Clarkston_Rambler |

Small eclectic place with beautiful wood beams and paneling. Food was good + but a little pricey for the smallish portions. The pickled vegetable side dish was outstanding.

Yum...and reasonable prices

By Me T |

The times visited the food was deliciousness embodied and consistent. Salads are fresh and flavorful. The brussel sprouts are the best tasting and priced for their kind in the area. The prosciutto pizza was very good...needs a bit more arugula and the eggplant was fabulous. The strawberry or raspberry cheesecake...well...sublime. Wine list is decent and the staff knowledgeable. Definitely will return.

Nice meal

By Sue804 |

Had a nice meal here on our first night in Chicago. The grilled salmon itself was very good, but it could have had more vegetables/salad with it as I came away still feeling hungry. The restaurant was quite dark and rather cool in temperature. Overall, I thought it was overpriced and wouldn't hurry back.

I'm sorry I walked past it so many times!

By mbraun85 |

I've stayed at the Indigo hotel for literally months on end over the years and cannot begin to tell you how many times that I have walked past this place in search of food. I guess it's because it's so close to the hotel and I have such an aversion to eating in hotels or (apparently) places near by. My wife and I came up for the Chicago World Music festival (a MUST do by the way) and because it was raining decided to venture no further down the block than Eduardo's. We were warmly welcomed into a very appealing restaurant for lunch. They have a great menu and a great wine and beer selection. We thought that we had figured out what we wanted for lunch until the waiter told us about their specialty pizza with a 3rd generation hand made bolognese sauce. So we changed our minds and had the shrimp and avoccado crostini for an appetizer and the pizza as a main course. I'd give the appetizer a very good rating and I'd give the pizza a 'superb'. For the food being this good the prices were very reasonable. Best of all this little gem is tucked away in the Lincoln Park area (my favorite area of Chicago) and is within very easy walking distance of the mega madness and mega prices of Rush Street. I have to say that there is a tremendous amount of very good food in Chicago and I have the waistline to prove it. If you want some very good food in a quiet part of town at some very reasonable prices then this place will hit the mark. I've passed by this place way too many times but from now on it will be a 'must do' whenever we return. Lambchop ( my lovely bride of 20+ years ) wants to eat here again before we return to San Antonio. We travel extensively and if she wants to eat in the same place more than once on a trip you can consider it high praise.

Nice little place - great service and waitstaff. We went for brunch but also had lunch menu - good to have both options. They have a small patio on the sidewalk - some seats are in umbrellas for shade. Pasta pizzas sandwiches. Small bar but good drink selection.

Works for me......

By Carl R |

We were cold and hungry. The light was on and I needed a drink. Dustin, our server was prompt, efficient and friendly. The minestrone soup was perfect and the thin crust pizza with honey ('') was surprisingly good. No complaints about the Hendricks martini. Very small place with no line at 8:00. Loved the service. Thanks Dustin.....

Believe all the great ratings - Eduardo's is amazing!

By 34678Love2travel |

Believe the ratings! Eduardo’s provided amazing appetizers (charcuterie) entrees (pasta dishes) and dessert (tiramisu) at a moderate price. Equally impressive was our server who was informative and attentive. We went on a Sunday night, and were seated right away with a great window view. We walked to restaurant from our hotel via Rush Street which was a lot of fun to check out the night life and neighborhoods.

Yummy!!!

I LOVE this pizza! I have been to Uno's and Giordanos in Chicago, but still perfer Edwardo's. Their stuffed pizza is the best I have ever had!! I have never been to their actual restaurant I just get pizza delivered from them and I always will EVER time I visit Chicago. It's a must!!

Sidewalk scene!

By Amy C |

I stopped here b/c I saw friends enjoying a cocktail at the sidewalk tables. We sat down and a knowledgeable server/bartender came out and explained the craft cocktails. It was pleasant to sit and have a drink outside. The menu looked interesting, but we had no time to dine.

Very nice little place

By Kate R |

Food was good, prices are very affordable too! I had Italian chicken, it was a good size of meet, well spiced! I was happy with my portion, however potatoes were a little bit oversalted. Nice service but a little slow, I think we waited about half an hour for our meal. Overall, I liked it, I would recommend it and I will go back!

Hidden gem with amazing service

By tinytut |

We were in town for a conference and to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. I booked us a table here because we wanted to be a bit away from the downtown tourist area. The food was 10/10 amazing. We started with the bread and olives along with some of the summer cocktails. I had the gnocchi and my girlfriend the pesto. Amazing. But hands down the best was the service. Julianna was handling the patio and crushing it. Every table was taken care of, never ran out of water and she made some great recommendations. 10 out of 10 we will be back!

Great experience

By Verena W |

Great food and great service by Julianna. We had a fantastic time at Eduardo‘s Enoteca. We had a pizza and a pasta dish both were delicious.

Beet Salad

By Marianne P |

Used to be Eduardo's Pizza. Still serves pizza but not the main entree. Neighborhood restaurant. Best beet salad I ever had. Mimosas made with fresh squeezed OJ. Wait staff really nice. Small and intimate. Has outdoor seating.

Delicious Offerings

By Michael S |

We dined outside and enjoyed the evening fall weather with our dinner. The mix of cheeses, meats and olives were very tasteful with fresh bread bread and delightful olive oil. We'd recommend Eduardo's for a good evenings repast.

Excellent Always

Eduardo's is an excellent Gold Coast neighborhood restaurant. The food is superb and the service is always at the highest level. Debbie, who manages and serves there is consistently the most professional and pleasant person around. She is attentive and is what makes dining there a pleasure. And, a bartender who makes an excellent martini and manhattan. Thanks for being in our neighborhood.

Special Wines and Good Small Plates

By SLKj |

With outdoor, pet friendly seating, knowledgeable wait staff, this small wine bar has a large varied wine list, good food nicely presented. Open for lunch, supper, late night and located just steps from Hotel Indigo, we look forward to a return visit!

What a treat

By ahacreative |

Had dinner here and absolutely loved it. Great intimate setting in quiet neighborhood setting. the wait staff was attentive and helpful, making nice wine suggestions from their nice wine list throughout our meal. We started with a plate of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, which was served with a selection of olives, bread, and a seasonal compote - in our case a cranberry compote. Very good plate. For my main course i had one of the seasonal selections, striped bass on spinach...very delicate and subtle. The other person with me had the fettucine alfredo and found it a little bland. Overall, a very relaxing meal with several nice wine choices, in a nice quiet setting.

Great Neighborhood Spot

Eduardo’s is the perfect place to go any day of the week. We live in the neighborhood and frequent there often… Enjoying the warm, comfortable environment and the neighborhood feel. The staff is prompt and friendly And particularly enjoy Debbie and Melissa‘s attentiveness and kindness!

Small venue small menu good food fresh

By ScubaSkeeter |

ONly went once, but enjoyed the mushroom pasta and the seafood pasta. It can get expensive since it is ala carte. I don't drink but could imagine good things from the huge selection of wines. Sidewalk seating excellent since Dearborn is not busy in that section, a leafy suburban type street. Why the insipid background music at all these restaurants and coffee shops?

Very good pizza

By UBM10 |

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst coming back from our late morning walk along the beach. Tucked away in a lovely part of the city which has beautiful houses. I had the artichoke pizza and my daughter had the salmon. Perfect lunch size portions and great little seating area outside. Our server was nice and the restaurant seemed to attract the locals.

Deliciously done!

By Jazzgal67 |

Staying at a nearby hotel and needed to wait to check in, this was a close and delicious option. Surprisingly, the best part of breakfast were the crispy roasted potatoes and the Applewood bacon. Nice meal in an ambient environment.

Nice little place next door to the Indigo

By Linda M |

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Edwardo's. The roasted brussel sprouts were delicious, as was the very thin-crusted pizza. We saw another diner with a huge piece of deep-dish, Chicago-style pizza, so apparently they have that, too, if you"re into that sort of thing.

Great neighborhood spot

Amazing Happy Hour Apps and wine deals. Loved our server Debbie. She was so helpful and made the experiece even better. We will be back next time we are in town.

Great little spot for cheese/wine plate. Pasta's looked awesome. Cozy inside and nice outdoor seating.

Highly popular near North restaurant

By Bruce F |

The fact this restaurant / wine bar is full nearly every night is a testament to the food and excellent service. Its good reputation is well-deserved. Solid and varied Italian cooking. Good value. Part of the reason for its popularity must be its intimate setting and cozy bar near the dining room. This being an enoteca, a wide variety of wines is offered. In addition to well-known wineries, there are also many by lesser-known producers that are relatively inexpensive and well-crafted. Also, the restaurant is easy to reach -- just a stone's throw from the Redline Clark & Division stop.

Cute little place

By Pete B |

I always enjoy Eduardo's, their food is good and the wine selection it sizable. The outdoor seating is nice in the summer. The only issue is the wait can be long since there are just a few tables in the place. Tables turn pretty fast, but if you can get a reservation I would suggest it to avid the wait. There is a bar, but once again only a few seats so it isn't really ideal to have a drink and wait for a table since you might wait just as long for a spot at the bar. The food is always great. I can't get enough of the brussel sprouts.

Gone Down Hill--After Years of Being A Favorite

By Janet R |

We ordered our favorite pizza for over 40 years and it was mediocre, Pizza is about the crust, whatever changes/cost cuts that have been made are not good. We are not going back. Very sad...Chicago has many better pizza options.

Fresh, delicious food

By SunnyinChagrin |

Very fresh food served in a cozy restaurant with folks just visiting with each other inside for internet and out on the sidewalk to enjoy the early spring.

Favorite Neighborhood Restaurant

By casa1234 |

I can't say enough good things about Eduardo's. I've been going there for over 3 years and it is my "go to" neighborhood restaurant. It is a small, intimate space which also has a wonderful patio area for outdoor dining when weather permits. They do not take reservations. I LOVE their flatbread pizzas and over the course of 3 years I have tried them all, including the seasonal specials. They are all delicious. If I don't get the flatbread, I tend to order off of the seasonal menu. Always delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The service is great and the staff make a conscious effort to get to know you. The warm, friendly atmosphere and delicious food have me coming back time and time again.

Cozy and delicious

By Alina Q |

Melissa was super friendly and a great bartender ! Food was delicious! I got the gnocchi and had a great time. Would definitely go back.

Consider this tiny gem before going to the name places on Rush.

By RealEndres |

Walking the neighborhood from our hotel, we came upon this place. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk was very inviting. We stopped for a glass of wine and appetizers since we just got into town. It seemed to be filled with locals having a drink (good sign) and a good time. The service was excellent. Our server helped us select a nice Italian bottle. We complemented this with some bruschetta which he recommended. This wasn't your everyday bruschetta. Each piece was different with excellent cheeses, sausage, shrimp, and other tastes. Everything was excellent. We did walk inside. It's small, but a very interesting decor with exposed beams. It reminded me of some place in Italy. Their menu is small, but looks good. We'll be back on our next Chicago visit.

Great location

By Ericka F |

I wish I had more room so I could have eaten more food! The ambience was nice -- intimate, even for a solo person. There was also outdoor seating. The focaccia was delicious, and the customer service was great. It won't break the bank on a vacation budget.

Romantic Italian ristorante--in our neighborhood

By Taylor B |

How many times have we walked past Eduardo's Enoteca in our Gold Coast neighborhood without stopping for lunch or dinner? Did we take it for granted? Did we think it was a sushi restaurant? Whatever our thoughts at the time, we finally realized it is a romantic Italian wine bar known for house-made pastas and rustic pizzas. Well, maybe that's the reason. We aren't wine drinkers. Located at 1212 North Dearborn, three blocks from our home, Eduardo's is a great place for lunch. Open from noon to 9 Monday through Thursday, noon to 10 on Friday, 11 to 10 on Saturday and 11 to 9 on Sunday, it offers some wonderfully well prepared and conceived Italian dishes that you can't find anywhere else. All served in a romantic, comfortable setting with enjoyable outdoor seating in the summer. My wife and I started with minestrone and a delicious smoked salmon board with tomato, capers, red onion, arugula and crostini. We also shared a spicy kale Caesar salad with romaine, pickled fresno chile, croutons, parmigiano, panko and spicy Caesar dressing. For entrees, we chose lemon herb salmon with baby spinach and zucchini carpaccio and ironed Italian chicken, grilled chicken breast with crispy potato. Dessert? We shared a big slice of tiramisu, a sensible and obvious way to cap an excellent Italian feast.

A good and well priced restaurant

By Bertie W |

A great, laid back option. I had a delicious pappardelle bolognese served by the charming and attentive Julianna. The pizzas looked excellent as well. Good food, good wine, good service and a nice, intimate setting. Also, very well priced.

Cool Italian spot

By William H |

Great ambiance and great service! Debbie was very knowledgeable about the menu and paced our meal out perfectly. They have a lot of unique pizza options.

Your choice: Stuffed or Thin-Crust Pizza

By Taylor B |

Edwardo's has been a fixture in our Gold Coast neighborhood since 1978. But because it made its bones on its signature Chicago-style stuffed pizza, we usually satisfied our taste for thin-crust pizza elsewhere. But once we realized that Edwardo's also produces thin-crust pizza and encourages customers to create their own...well, we couldn't wait to make the three-block walk to order our favorite from the wood fired brick ovens. My wife and I don't crave a lot of toppings. Just mozzarella cheese and lots of sausage piled over Edwardo's rich classic tomato sauce. Yummy. Sorry, but stuffed pizza is just too heavy, too much cheese, too much tomato, no matter who makes it, Edwardo's or Malnati's or Pizzeria Uno and Duo. Edwardo's must do it right. They've been doing it for more than 35 years and they have successful outlets on East 57th Street, North Halsted, Skokie, Wheeling, Oak Park, Northbrook and Munster, Indiana. You can have it delivered or pick it up or ship it nationwide. And there is more on the menu than pizza to satisfy your palate. For appetizers, choose chicken strips or Buffalo chicken wings or braised Neopolitan meatballs in pancetta marinara or minestrone soup or Caesar salad. The Tagliatelle Bolognese is a wonderful version of spaghetti. But if you insist on ordering a stuffed pizza, Edwardo's offers two enticing versions--Edwardo's Special (a combination of lean sausage, fresh green peppers, mushrooms and onions) and Edwardo's All-Meat Combo (stuffed with four savory meats--sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon and bacon). Tempting? Yes. But call me an old fogey. I'll stick with cheese and sausage thin-crust.

A great find

By Alan L |

We stayed in the Indigo and ate lunch here on three out of the four days we were in Chicago. We chose different things each day and everything was excellent, tasty Italian treats. The service from David was second to none we have had in any restaurant we to which we have been

Attractive Atmosphere, Excellent Service

By Robyn B |

A real gem in the Gold Coast neighborhood, with a fantastic location. Interior is so attractive too, great for date nights or a friends dinner. The menu was top class. A solid mix of Italian staples with a modern flair. I enjoyed a cherry lime ginger spritz seasonal cocktail to start, and had the linguine scampi for my main. Husband had the bolognese and he commented how great the sauce was. Both our entrees were superb. Best part of the meal was our server, Ruth. She was so attentive, kind, and fun, giving us great local tips since we were in town visiting. It was a little honeymoon trip for us, so Ruth graciously comped us a key lime parfait dessert which was SO GOOD. (I’m a huge key lime fan, and this was one of the best in terms of tartness and sweetness.) A thoughtful touch that really, truly made our night. Thank you, Ruth!!

Great Disappointment

By Joseph G |

Looked forward to eating here after seeing reviews. The appetizers were quite good and if we had stopped there the review would be much different. The drinks were very poorly made (how do you screw up a Negroni?). Main course of "brick pressed chicken" was two very large boneless/skinless chicken breasts that had minimal char marks. True brick pressed chicken has a crispy skin and is well charred. The marinated pork was also a disappointment. Lemon pasta was very good. Maybe that is where their zone is.

The food selections are Wonderful!

By LMK101 |

We were here a couple of times, once for wine and the other for dinner. There is a nice selection of wines. The bartender is very helpful. We also came here for dinner. They have an outdoor area or indoor. We decided on indoor. Good menu. We had the pepperoni piccante, polpette alla napoletana, arancini, pappardelle bolognese, and the miele & fig pizza with hot honey. Everything was delicious. Nice combinations for interesting flavors. The bolognese was absolutely delicious. Our server, Ruth, was great and very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back there again!

Love this dinner location

By Mark R |

I have eaten here a couple times and love it more and more with each visit. I enjoy the cheese tray selection as they offer the freshest and great portions. Their apricot jam that you can put on things is amazing. The servers are speedy and knowledgeable about the menu. This is a great place to just relax and unwind from a busy day.

Left before ordering!

By Tandy F |

We saw this restaurant when walking by and saw the nice makeshift outdoor seating under a tent with heaters, checked the menu, then decided to get a table. The waitress took our temps and was over the top militant about mask wearing and made us feel unwelcome, forgetting who the customer is. We were sitting outside, but she immediately informed us to put on a mask every time she came to the table. She also said if we needed anything to put our masks on and that’s how she would know she needed to come to our table!! (Remember, we were outdoors the entire time. We never even entered the restaurant.) She asked for our name and phone number before going to get our water. It was after this we decided to get up and leave. This restaurant is ranked high for their food, but unfortunately we didn’t get far enough to find out. We walked down to the LuxBar and were treated with great customer service and had amazing meals.

Excellent food, reasonable prices

By zeldatoo2000 |

We went for a dinner on our last night in Chicago, the place is next to the hotel Indigo where we were staying. The place offer a kind of Italian cuisine and excellent wine selection. We are Italian, so we went in with little expectations and ready to select something we did not have to complain about. Instead we were pleasantly surprised to see that none of the usual "italian" food selections were on the menu, instead there were quite nice dishes created with Italian typical ingredients, but combined in a very peculiar way. the result was excellent, we had a selection of cheese and charcuterie, a farro soup and an hamburger with Provolone. We had some local microbrewery beers and they too were very good and a perfect match for dinner. If you are in Chicago, give it a try I am sure you won't get disappointed

Crostini and burrata very special. Papardelle major yummy

By Harold N |

Warm friendly neighborhood place with wonderful food great service (thanks Debbie). Traditional dishes with a nice creative touch like the caramelized apple in the crostini.

WOW-what a pizza! Best I have ever had.

By DG in OKC |

Wife and I visited this place on the tip from a ex-local who used to live in Chicago. We got there for lunch and it turned out to be the best meal of the trip. New outside dining was nice too under a big shade tree. Pizza was nearly 3" thick!

A+ Italian food! Away from overpriced tourist traps!

By Khris |

We decided to walk to the Gold Coast neighborhood from N. Michigan Ave (Mag Mile), because we wanted authentic Italian food. The restaurants near our hotel are all tourist traps. Glad we walked all the way to Eduardo’s Enoteca. The food was great, and the service from our waitress, Julianna, was excellent! We ordered the Caesar salad picante which had a great kick to it. We also got the mushroom pizza, tagliatelle bolognese, and the scallops with corn and tomatoes. All were so fresh and flavorful! The restaurant itself is small, cozy and has great ambiance. We highly recommend this place!

Going back soon!!!

By Ding526 |

I have family who live in this neighborhood so have walked by Eduardo's many times and have often thought this was my kind of place. Finally got to experience it last Friday evening. We needed a quick bite before heading to Second City. We had two different charcuterie plates, as well as three pizzas. All were superb, but the mushroom pizza is haunting me! I must have it again - and soon!

Never disappointed at this neighborhood restaurant.

By GreeneChicago |

This is our "go to" restaurant. Though only a few streets away, we even order delivery from here at least every other week. However, this restaurant is a place you WANT to take the effort and go to. The atmosphere is warm, rustic and cozy. The staff is knowledgeable about the wines and their food selection. When ordering, I would suggest that you ask your server which wines they would suggest for your choice. When in doubt, they offer you a taste to make sure you like their recommendation. The wine list is small but varied enough for the night. They often change the wines they offer. The best deal is to buy a bottle, since the markup is very modest compared to other restaurants. If you can't finish the bottle, you can take it home. Though that happens very rarely as you find the bottle done before you know it. Food - You can not go wrong with the meat and cheese selection. I have tried all of them and have my favorites but it is more a personal taste. I like spicy meats and mild cheeses. They have specials each night and recommend you ask the server which one they think is the best for that night. I have my favorite go to Pizzas (Pepperoni or margherita) and Pastas (lemon & crispy rosemary with added shrimp), that I order every time since it is just that good. My husband tries to vary our selection, so he tries the seasonal selections and the different pastas. Brussel sprouts is always a side order for us. Even though we order a lot different items, we don't come out bloated like other more traditional italian dining places. Ambiance and Service - The place is very cozy and what you should expect for a wine bar. It is a great date night place, but I have also brought many of my friends here just to relax and enjoy a good conversation. It is small, so a large group will be difficult to get in without a reservation. When the weather gets warmer, the outside tables provides some good people watching but not congested with car traffic zooming past you.

Lovely hole in the wall

By Jean P |

Small Italian restaurant near my hotel, loved their food and the service was impeccable. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Blown away!

By AlanE42 |

I discovered this gem quite by accident, while looking for a simple meal before attending the theatre. I came away having been treated to one of the most savory, palate exciting, uniquely seasoned meals I've ever tasted. Being an 'enoteca', I was expecting an interesting and extensive wine list, which they have. But instead of trying to choose the right wine for my menu selection, I asked my server for recommendations. She brought me three 'tastings', all of which paired nicely. But one was outstanding, which elevated the flavors of the food to an indescribable level. Had I not asked, I probably would have passed over this particular wine. In summary, not only is the chef amazingly talented, using fresh ingredients and unique spices, but the serving staff knows how to pair the very best wine with your menu choices.

Amazing food and service

By Debbie L |

This place is a tiny hole in the wall but the food is amazing- husband and I both had lemon spaghetti and it was so delicious! Kudos to the house made focaccia bread and citrus olives- omg so good. This place was steps down from the street of our hotel and we visited several times- compliments to the Chef and staff of this little gem of a restaurant ❤️

Great breakfast menu and food. Visited for first time today. Will definitely return. Dinner menu looks good!

Three of us had different items from breakfast menu today. All were very good. Presentation and service good too. Will be back soon - dinner menu looks good too.

Our favorite local place shifts to take out.

By Janettravels44 |

This was our go to place when we had out of town visitors or were getting together with friends -- nice ambience, limited menu -- pizza (old fashioned Italian style), pastas and hand crafted cocktails and broad wine list. WE hope they survive and so we have gone here for take out a couple of times and will again. We ordered by phone from the regular menu on line (which always includes specials that change every couple of months). Everything was lovely -- we got their sea food pasta, a current special, and a pizza (the arugula topping for the prosciutto/arugula pizza was boxed separately so it wasn't soggy. The arancini were hot and tasty. They make really nice salads and their current green goddess with quinoa was generous and tasty. This is a good place, they are well organized for take out and it is easy to maintain social distance while picking up. They also use delivery services but we prefer to skip the middleman when possible and do direct pick up so the money goes to the restaurant.

We had a fantastic dinner.Ruth took great care of us. She provided spot on attention with us. She is friendly and offered great suggestions. We had the meatballs, arancini, and the pepperoni and prosciutto with peppers. We then had the Miele and fig pizza with hot honey and arugula and the pepparadelle with bolagnese. Everything was delicious. We topped it off with a nice bottle of chianti. We were visiting from out of town but would definitiely visit again if we lived in Chicago.

great food and service

I stayed at the indigo hotel for three nights and ate here at least two days. Quick service and fun food selection. The drinks were also great - try the moscow mule and ask for extra ginger beer. Staff was extremely friendly. Loved the breakfast too - amazing.

Horrible Delivery Service

By liljune |

I have had three experiences with Eduardo's. I dined there one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor patio and the gorgeous diavola pizza and a pasta dish. However, I have had two horrible delivery experiences. The most recent one was today, where I was told that their delivery was first come first serve, regardless of the fact that I am one block away at Public Hotel. I will make sure no one at the hotel uses this place, nor will I order from them again. Their delivery service is late!!! over one hour and their service attitude is subpar. Not what you would expect from a boutique business.

Nice little find

By Mumma_Claws |

We stumbled upon this place after walking around looking for somewhere to grab a bite on a tuesday night. We were very very pleased. We ordered pizza and the lamb ragu pasta to share. Both were absolutely delicious. The ragu was one of the best italian meals I've ever eaten. Service was friendly and informative particularly with wine recommendations. Highly recommend!!!!

Eureka! Great find!

By Sun B |

We have found a hidden gem here in Chicago’s Gold Coast! Eduardo’s Enoteca is an intimate eatery that has outstanding food and service. Enoteca is Italian for Wine bar and this place lives up to its name by offering variety of wines from small production wineries. And for those who prefer beer, they also have array of craft beers as well. To start, the Artisanal Cheese Charcutiere is a must especially since you get to choose from the assortment of cheese and salumi. Very knowledgeable waiters can also recommend if you're not sure what to get. Charred Brussels sprouts with crispy pancetta and caramelized garlic is very tasty. Our favorite was the Lobster Ravioli, light but full of flavor. Don’t forget their pizzas, all comes with delicious options of meats, vegetable and cheese on thin crust. Our choice was the Alla Vodka, which had fresh bufala mozzarella, and the Diavola with spicy peperoni, basil and white truffle oil. Both excellent! Eduardo’s Enoteca does not take reservations, the wait on a Saturday night was not too long but even if it was, definitely worth the wait!

Great neighborhood place

Great neighborhood spot that has been around for decades. Nice atmosphere and good service, especially from Debbie. Food was good.

Best Spot in Gold Coast

By Jack M |

Favorite little spot in Gold Coast. Number 1 pizza spot (get the hot honey) love the pasta and arancini. Sit at the bar and Melissa will give you some good recs - requiem cab is a good bottle. We had Julianna as a server and she was amazing. 10/10

Excellent!

By Beverly C |

The food was wonderful, the wait staff great (even happily accommodating the infant in our party, at this decidedly non-child-oriented restaurant). The only problem is that the place is TINY, with seating for only about 30 people, so we had a very long wait. It was definitely worth it, but I suggest trying to get there at an off-hour to avoid either squeezing into the small waiting area or crowding around the six-seater bar.

Great place for a lazy Sunday afternoon

By Chris S |

Thoroughly enjoyed this joint. Good wine, great food, and great prices. Service was solid as well. This is one of those neighborhood joints that out-of-towners wish they had in their hometowns!!

Creative dishes & great wine

Lovely neighborhood spot with tasty food and terrific wine. Very good wait staff. Tables are close together as it's a small space - so, you get to chat with your fellow diners.

Eduardo's - Warm Atmosphere, Great Food, Nice People

By DM S |

We found Eduardo's by accident . . . just walking by. My wife and I thought the exposed beams, soft lighting, fresh flowers on every table and a warm intimate dining room (space for ~30 - 35 people) was pretty inviting. We were greeted by warm, friendly people and simple by delicious food and drink. Sometime you get really luck and stumble onto something really special. We think Eduardo's is one of those places . . . hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Be sure to check the specials board

By HoosierWisdom |

I started with the white bean artichoke dip with rustic toast. Excellent with the herbs. For the entree, I went with the pasta and their famous tomato meat sauce. The sauce was excellent t, although the pasta was a bit thick. I will be baxk

Delicious bolognese

By NOmadfolk2 |

Eduardo's seemed like just the kind of casual neighborhood place we were looking for. But we weren't in the mood for pizza, and although there were lots of options on the menu, we weren't crazy about most of them. When the waiter described the gnocchi dish as "heavy and rich," I decided against it, and my husband and I ended up ordering the same thing, the only dish that really appealed--tagliatelle bolognese. It was delicious! While I might have wanted my pasta a tad more al dente, we were delighted with the sauce, which had the depth and layering of flavors of true bolognese. At $13 for a decent-sized serving (more than I could finish), this struck me as a really good value. The charred brussels sprouts, with caramelized nubs of pancetta and garlic, were excellent. Service was casual, but I have no real complaint there: we certainly weren't neglected. There were few other diners so the food came out a little too quickly, and we thought the music too loud, but overall, we were happy with our experience. Based on the bolognese and the brussels sprouts, and the reasonable prices, we'd return.

We were in their way

By Marley |

We have eaten here twice in several years and the experience was the same. We seemed to be in their way. We had a reservation and only 4 of 15 tables were full but we were seated smashed up against the empty bar and told we had to be done in an hour. The food was good but apparently we were supposed to clear our own salad plates off the tiny table to make room for our pizzas. I'm not sure who they are saving themselves for, but it wasn't us. Definitely need some hospitality training.

Good pizza and homemade pasta

By lizbeth042 |

All fresh and delicious. Tagliatelli bolognese was true comfort food. The Diavolo pizza was the best we've had so far in Chicago. We sat under the stars on a warm May night which was really nice.

Great dinner

By 610darlenea |

We have been coming here for years. The wait staff has changed but Debbie has been here for at least 3 years and has taken care of us. All the suggestions that she made were great including telling us instead of having a Caesar salad which is year-round, to try the seasonal spinach strawberry goat cheese salad. Debbie is such a great server with great suggestions and helped us choose great entrees. Her friendly smile and kind demeanor go a long way. We haven't been here in a couple of months, but she remembered us and we remembered her. Always a pleasure and hope that next time we come here, Debbie is here to make our dinner as great as it was tonight. Such a lovely person at such a great establishment

This has been my favorite pizza place for 30 years. It disappeared for a while and I am so happy it is back! You do have to order the pizza to go, but is totally wort it.

Good pizza

We went here to experience proper Chicago pizza....it was certainly an experience. We had a small meat feast between two and there was plenty leftover - I am not sure how anyone could finish a whole one. The server was great...and gave us free drinks whilst we waited. Definitely worth a visit if you are hankering for pizza.

Amazing!!

Debbie was so great! Great patio and very attentive despite the restaurant being very busy. 10000% would recommend! Definitely come here

Cozy and Delicious!

Husband and I went for a wine tasting plus tried a few delicious items on the menu. It was a wonderful date night for us. I even took home a bottle. The service was friendly, the portions were perfect and the wine / drinks were so GOOD! I Recommend, You must try this place at least once. Can't wait to go again!

Great place in the Gold coast!

We had lunch at Eduardo's Enoteca and it was so great we came back for lunch the next day. It is a casual restaurant but the food is really fresh and tasty and the wine list is fantastic! I had the Parma Crostini with a very nice Chianti Classico and it was great! The pumpkin cheesecake for dessert was a wonderful choice. It was a wonderful find in the Gold Coast. I will definitely go back to try other dishes and wine on my next trip to Chicago.

Really enjoyed eating here!

We sat outside on their small sidewalk on a pretty perfect evening. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The cocktails were fun. The gnocchi was great. Definitely give it a try.

A very Pleasant Surprise

My lovely and I spent last weekend in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. We stayed at the Hotel Indigo and I will write a review about portion of out trip later. Eduardo's is only a half of a block south of the Indigo. It is smallish, but also has a very nice courtyard. My wife really enjoyed her freshly made pasta entre' and I relished the skatefish special. Their wine list is very well balanced and not too expensive. Our wait staff delivered great service and when the final bill came it really was not bad at all - perhaps $70 or so. My wife and her daughter will visit Chicago again in March '14 and I'm very sure they will be frequenting Eduardo's when they do.

Quaint, Charming, Delightful

Loved this little restaurant - just everything about it! From the decor, to the food, to the staff, it was just great. All of our meals were delicious and my daughter's wine flight had 3 very tasty choices. The interior is super fun and while we didn't dine outside, they did have a very nice area for that as well. It's a great place to start your night out and in walking distance to lots of late night spots.

Watch the wine bill

I had ridden past Eduardo's a few times on my bike and the sidewalk café looked very inviting. I checked the reviews on trip advisor which were favorable so we gave it a try. Fairly disappointed. While a pizza was tasty and flavorful, our pasta dish was lifeless and dull. We never got any bread. Worse, my wife and I each had 2 glasses of wine. When the bill arrived, my wine was at $14/ glass. I distinctly recall that the price on the menu was $10. I asked the server about this and he said that $10 was the price for a small glass - 4 ounces while a large glass was 6 ounces for $14. I checked the menu and there were indeed 2 columns of pricing for wine by the glass. However, we were never asked what size wine we wanted. Also, 2 six ounces glasses of wine is basically half a bottle. I have had many half bottles of wine. There is no way that these 2 glasses were half a bottle of wine. This was way beyond a thin pour. Too bad because the sidewalk café is a pleasant spot.

Hidden gem

This is our first time at Eduardo’s Enoteca. We stopped in for happy hour and had couple glasses of Italian wine. They offer several great wines by the glass. The place has a great vibe and is a hidden gem. Next time we will have some of their pizza. It looked fantastic.

Very good ! Go.

Juliana was a great waitress on short notice for us. Great food and dessert. Highly recommend. The desserts are european in flavor and very tasty.

Perfect summer patio

The patio was the perfect space to have the burrata and a pizza on a warm evening. Our server Debbie was excellent and the food was delicious!

Small, Friendly, and Great Food

By Michele C |

This is a very small restaurant with a friendly bar and wait staff. Outside seating is very comfortable with a weekend brunch. The Fromaggi Salumi Three for $15 was outstanding. Marinated olives (warm) and delicious. Small to large-just fab. Crispy Brussel Sprouts are a must, even if you do not like them - guaranteed you'll change your mind. The feel reminded me of a Paris restaurant, small, dark, great food, and people. A must if you are in Chicago.

Incredible Experience

Eduardo’s is a homey, intimate restaurant that serves delicious Italian food with great service. Our waitress/server Debbie was incredibly amazing, and treated us so well. She checked on us promptly and made sure everything was nothing short of amazing. Debbie worked hard to make our two birthdays we were celebrating incredibly special. Debbie and the entire staff were very sweet and the restaurant has such a nice, caring, and warm feel! Thank you Debbie and the rest of the staff at Eduardo’s!

Great food, service, and outdoor dining to boot

By Susan W |

Everything we ordered was delicious. We had pizza, pasta, and salads. Our server Debbie did a great job recommending items on the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. Appreciate the outdoor covered streatery with heaters which made for a cozy ambiance on a cool (55 degrees) spring evening. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

This was just okay. Nothing special.

This was just okay. Nothing special, does not mean bad. It just wasn't memorable. Breakfast was plain and the plates were ungarnished. The coffee was just coffee.

Excellent-Quaint-Romantic

By jaybee2525 |

Small menu features unique flavor profiles. Spicy Caesar if you like fresh chilies and heat. Beet and goat salad also shines. Chicken piccata was large enough for a 2nd night. They substituted the salmon for chicken and equally excellent. Last visit the mushroom risotto with scallops was memorable. Haven’t tried desserts yet. Nice wines by the glass and bottle. Happy hour til 6pm features some half price specials. We will return.

Go there for brunch!

We webt for brunch which is aerved Sat and Sun morning. Awesome service and the baked omlets are the best! They have tasty looking morning cocktails and funky fresh juice combos though we just stuck with coffee. This is a must not miss place!

Great pizza and pasta

By Rootbulls |

Eduardo's is a small restaurant in the Gold Coast. First the negatives...... The menu was very limited. Very little meat and fish was offered as a main course, and liquor selections in the bar were limited. Also, no bread was served with dinner. The positives..... Pasta and Pizza were very good. We enjoyed the tagliatelle bolognese and a pizza with sausage and peppers. Prices for that area were extremely reasonable. We would definitely go back again.
