We had the breakfast bahn mi- yummy! And the mex skillet. Eggs cooked perfectly. Hash brown potatoes (not patties) were crisp and delicious. Efficient yet friendly service!

Wonderful staff, including owners. Quick and attentive service. Reasonably priced, excellent meal. Within walking distance of major tourist attractions

This place has horrible service, they will just stare at you and not help you. It is so weird how consistently rude the staff is. They consistently make my life so much harder than it needs to be, avoid this place at all costs. There are MUCH better brunch spots in the neighborhood, don't eat at some fake review place!

Family run small restaurant specializing in breakfast/brunch type food. Food was outstanding! I had Vegetarian Delight omelet and it was flavorful without being too salty. It was served with fresh avocado, breakfast potatoes, and a nice sauce that pulled the whole dish together. Others in my party had other omelettes and said they were delicious. Because it's a small place, I could see other food going by---breakfast sandwiches looked good and seemed to be popular. There could be a wait for tables and while I was there, there were usually a few parties waiting. Owners didn't rush people out to fill tables which I appreciated.

Very popular breakfast casual restaurant on Chestnut Street. Food is fresh and good, service prompt. Tables are close together and since the place is small servers tend to rush you.

Fresh food, reasonable prices. It's good, very good...and tiny! You are going to wait, and service is slow because it gets mobbed. Tables on top of each other but no one seems to care. WHY? because it is a neat place with great food. Go, you won't be sorry.

Excellent place for brunch! Amazing menu. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

I can recommend the entire-breakfast-in-roll. It is just that, plus properly crisped potatoes. Basic, simple place, clean, only little of the Center City self-absorbed hipster culture. Very good place for folks staying at hotels to start the day at. I wish it opened before 8 AM.

Wonderful and tasty food! Everything was great and exceeded our expectations. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Service was on point.

Eggcellent was just that! Eggcellent… very small cute breakfast shop with great customer service. Food was delivered as fast as we ordered it - it was hot, fresh and very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and nice, they were also very accommodating to amending our menu selections to make them more inclusive to our liking. Looking forward to returning the next time I’m in Philadelphia.

Stayed in Philly for a wedding and wanted to grab a quick breakfast before heading home. Saw good reviews and gave it a try. I was blown away! Creative, inventive and big menu. Everything was outstanding. Bold vibrant flavors and a good quantity for very reasonable prices. Wish I lived closer!

Wow so many great options. Philly loves their maple bacon and beef. Lots of egg dishes, scrambles, benedicts in a delicious creative way by these heart-centered Asian women who know how to provide happiness through food. :) Thank you

After an early morning start doing the liberty bell and Independence hall then a walk down historic chestnut we arrived hungry and hot. Friendly welcome seated quick with a smile and cold glass of iced water. The menu offers a great range of dishes that making choosing hard, the food was as good as the welcome and comes out quickly . Flavours and combinations are awesome . It's definitely somewhere to try a few times. I had the Bah Mi brekkie burger which was great along with the angry pig omelette . Next time it's the Iron hash A great local place to eat

Walked in without looking at any reviews and was pleasantly surprised and happy we did. Quiet when we arrived and ordered. Food was made fresh, so a little wait, but worth it as was delicious and good sized portions for the price. While we ate, the place started filling up, people waited patiently for their food/smoothies. All looked amazing so will return when in the area again to try more items. Couldn’t find this place on TA and wanted to share this little gem of a place. Highly recommend but expect a wait during busy times or if they employ another kitchen help.

Great interesting food options. Fast service with a smile. Breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwiches are large and filling.

Our hotel staff recommended this spot for breakfast/brunch. It is walking distance from many of the historic sites in Old City. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food, friendly staff, and cute atmosphere. We were not anticipating finding a spot like this in a very busy section of city. It is small and packed with customers which is usually a good sign. Tables turn over fairly quickly. It is worth the short wait.

This place is the bomb. Adorable space. Efficient staff. GREAT menu. Delicious!!!! I got the fried chicken eggs Benedict, a side of avocado & a green smoothie - couldn’t have been happier. Perfectly cooked runny orange yolks, juicy chicken, fresh yummy hollandaise. You get the picture. It’s also affordable!!! Win win win wooooo!!!

The price was great for the amount of food received. We went on a Tuesday morning, slightly busy for take out an dining in, however, we were seated immediately. We were greeted warmly and the customer service outstanding - no request was too much. Lastly the food was delectable. Pleasantly surprised, I had the vegetable omelette, the vegetables were sauteed perfect and just the right amount of cheese was added. Meals come with has brown potatoes which were crispy not greasy and seasoned just right. Family members enjoyed their omelelette and tacos with freshly sliced avocados.

A real gem of a café. Went here for breakfast on the second day of my trip to Philadelphia. Food was so good I never went anywhere else! Super friendly staff and great choice of dishes. Very reasonable priced and very generous portions.

This cafe is very small, but love how it’s decorated. It’s clearly a popular place because it was PACKED. The host took our phone number and we walked around the city until he called to say our table was ready. Service was ok. Like I said, they were really busy so it was slow but I worked in the restaurant industry so I understand. I had a latte and my husband had the fresh orange juice. Both very good. I had the breakfast quesadilla for my entree and my husband had the standard eggs, potatoes, bacon. There was a misunderstanding and the server brought us an extra side of potatoes? We still paid for it. Not a big deal. Anyways, food was great!! Loved my quesadilla and the seasoned potatoes. We would go back there. Just be patient!

Best breakfast sandwich I have literally ever had!! Breakfast banh mi made with housemade toasted sesame bagel, pork sausage, pickled veg, and spicy aioli with sriracha on the side. Rose latte was beautiful with rose petals and super yummy. I loved too that lots of different sorts of people were there-- visitors like me, folks working construction in the neighborhood, some corporate looking types. Great homey place with great food!

I have eaten at this venue a few times when I happened to be in the area. The food is average but overpriced. More importantly, it appears to be family run by people with no food service experience.

Terrific breakfast. Food was packed with flavor. Portion sizes were large and it was a very filling meal. It was a great spot that filled up quickly.

Food was extremely delicious. Staff was good only thing the waitress was in a rush so not everyone was ready to order. Took half the order then we had to do the 2nd half. The angry pig was delicious. My wife and daughter had the pancakes and they loved it.

Had the pancakes and spicy sausage. Both excellent! The staff was very efficient and friendly! Highly recommend for a great breakfast!

Extensive menu, excellent dishes, excellent welcome. The host speaks French Recommended for a very hearty breakfast or lunch.

Was recommended this breakfast venue by receptionist while staying at the Penn View Hotel. It was so good we went every morning. It gets very busy on a Sunday with locals doing brunch. As it is a family run restaurant and every dish cooked from scratch there can be a wait if busy but believe me well worth it.

This small cafe offers terrific, unique breakfast dishes. I had one of the best omlets ever...spinach, black beans etc. So fresh and light and perfectlty cooked. There are a huge variety of coffees, teas and other drinks. Staff, possibly the owners, were super nice and efficient.

We needed a last-minute, early Sunday breakfast when the fire alarm went off in our hotel. We arrived at Egg-cellent 25 minutes before opening and were still invited in by the gracious owner. He served us spicy chai and let us hang out until the kitchen opened and we could order food. We had chocolate croissants, avocado toast, a benedict, and a bowl and everyone raved about the food. It was fast and friendly service. We will be back the next time we're in Philly!

I place an $55 order this morning, i was told my food should be ready in 15 mins, i literally waited 1 HOUR. When i finally got my food, it was cold and burnt. The portion was really small and food was not properly cooked. on top of all that, There are really expensive. I will never order anything from this place again.

just had breakfast and it was awesome. we had breakfast bowls and pesto toast...yummy. great service. highly recommended

Do not miss this restaurant. Excellent food in taste and presentation. It is BUSY-so go early. Staff was very kind even as they rushed around serving.
Delicious breakfast
Delicious new style food, good service and atmosphere, right around the corner at chestnut street…come and try it
