Absolutely love their menu and space. The food is seriously delicious! They have a view of the ocean from their front patio and the inside space is trendy too with a moss wall, rattan chairs, marble counters etc. super friendly staff. I'm a fan now for sure!

Every time we are in La Jolla we have to stop in and grab a bite from this restaurant. It is beyond delicious! Everything my husband and I have trier, has been outstanding! My favorite is their breakfast burrito. I believe they offer meat options (I am not a vegan or vegetarian), but their breakfast burrito combines the perfect combo of ingredients, flavors and textures, it doesn’t matter that there isn’t any meat in it. The ingredients are quality, the service is great (checking in enough but not too much), and there’s even a view to the ocean! My husband and I love this place and recommend to everyone! One weekend there was even a live DJ, which added a nice touch. Many Kudos to the owner for a beautiful, healthy, delicious restaurant, that is always looking to make the best customer experience for guests!

It is a great little place. My wife and I stopped for lunch. Friendly and fast service, delicious sandwiches we sat outside with the ocean view.

I'm not a vegan eater myself but, the ambiance is amazing, and the food is delicious. Apparently, come for the experience because the decor and concept are amazing, but stay for the food. I can't believe it's all plant based/vegan, from the salads, wraps, sandwiches, pastries, and gelatos. I recommend the Philly Cheese Steak.

It’s fantastic , fresh, healthy, colorful, presentation wonderful. So much appreciated everything they did. A must to try it

Located on Prospect Street in La Jolla Village with an ocean view, El Avocado offers a variety of healthy, plant-based and vegan cuisines. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. My wife and I visited here during a brief getaway trip to La Jolla in late September 2021. It was a warm afternoon and we were craving ice cream when we saw a sidewalk sign advertising vegan gelato, which caught my eye as someone who loves ice cream but is lactose intolerant. We decided to go to El Avocado to try it out, and it turned out to be a brilliant decision! The staff was exceptionally nice and our gelatos (combos of peanut butter/cookies and cream for my wife, and strawberry/pistachio for me) were remarkably creamy and had flavors that were out-of-this world. NOTE that the owner is a strong believer in individual freedom, so they do not require customers to wear masks in the restaurant. It should also be noted that they donate 10% of their profits to animal shelters and communities in need. El Avocado has a full vegan menu of pastries, sandwiches, smoothies, salads and wraps. Based on our experience with them, we non-vegans would be delighted to return the next time we are in La Jolla.

Veggie sandwich was delicious You can believe it’s all plant based And the ocean view is amazing !!!!
Best brunch of our trip
We're not vegetarian, but the menu looked good, so we tried it. Great choice! I had an heirloom tomato, avocado, and arugula sandwich on artisan bread, which was fantastic. I could have eaten there every meal, but I would have had a mutiny on my hands.
