Good value, good service, good food

By Annette F |

We ventured way south and west to Kendall for an art exhibit. This was the only place for a nice dinner. It was nice! The place is really homey, lots of photos and paintings of fishing and fish. There were tons of cars outside yet we got a seat immediately. Service very good and friendly. The place seemed to be filled with regulars. The $10 special is, well, special. I had a cup of fish soup, followed by rice and calamari in squid ink, and a small crema catalan. What a deal. My husband had the sopa de mariscos - filled with fish chunks and seafood. If you're out that way, give it a try. Very good.

Chill vibes and tasty wine list

By Allan G |

Seriously amazing! The Ensalada de Cobo and Tacos de Mahi Mahi—were my favorite. Plus, the wine list is legit, the staff is super chill, and the whole vibe is just right. Definitely coming back 🌊🌮🍷

If you enjoy fish, this is the place.

By Pablo O |

Great place for lunch with $10 specials (includes soup, entree, and dessert). However, last night I took my wife for dinner and had a whole fried snapper. It was fantastic and reasonably priced, with a bottle of wine (also reasonably priced).

Love the fish tacos

By DouglasK825 |

Fish tacos were really great. Mahi mahi. Wonderful. The sauce is just a little spicy. We also had some scallops, which to me were a little expensive. 7 scallops for $25. They were good, garlic was great. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the only problem was some kids at one table were absolutely screaming. Not the fault of the restaurant, but just idiot parents that have no idea how to handle their kids and couldn’t care less about the other patrons. Ridiculous. Love the restaurant, but I had enough of the bloody screaming kids.

Excellent Food and Service

By Lacv75 |

Found this little restaurant while driving from Key West to the Fort Lauderdale airport. They serve all kinds of seafood including catch of the day fish. Food is delicious! Had the yellow tail snapper fillet with rice, fried and green plantains...yum! Service is great, waiters are always available to serve your needs and willing to please your requests. Beer is ice cold! (always a plus for me) and the Cuban coffee is just perfectly brewed. Will be back!

Good local

By Andre O |

Looks bigger from outside, a lot people takeaway. Order Dorada with shrimp, was good, also can ask for two sides, I choose white rice and black beans. Is a good portion size you need to be hungry to have it all. Price is reasonable $40.00 with tip and one beer. Get crowded at weekends at lunch time.

El Floridita Review

By esmeralda2012016 |

One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. The seafood is delicious, and substantial and offered at a very moderate price.

Excellent food!

By jabetoca |

We were there couples week ago and had a mix of sea food, we really liked it and had a great service!

The Perfect Paella! We highly recommend you stop in and check them out!

By Captain Charles G |

Ordered the Paella for 4 adults and it fed 5 with left overs! It was cooked to perfection as commented by all who tried it. The best we ever had they told me! We highly recommend you stop in and check them out! Well worth the price and the quality and large portions are there.

Great Lunch!!

By JPCCMC |

Just finished a great lunch at El Floridita. We are out of towners just passing through and found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. The atmosphere is great, the food is great and the service was quick and efficient. The waiter even gave us handi-wipes when we were all done. The $10 combo for lunch was a great deal.

Nice Surprise Convenient to Tamiami

By michael3000 |

Had media noche Cuban sandwich and skirt steak. The sandwich was large and tasty, the steak smaller but well prepared with moros rice and plantains. The cortadito and fresh watermelon juice were superior. The service was friendly and attentive. Will return.

Best Latin Influenced Seafood in Miami!

By Dawnsneverhome |

The food is top notch! Any seafood dish on the menu is delicious! From shrimp ceviche to Paella it's the best! The side dishes are fantastic. Their black beans are the best I have ever had at any restaurant! I can't count how many times I have eaten there but I can tell you that I have enjoyed every meal there!!!

Very good

By ALMD |

I like this restaurant. I have been several times, with colleagues, with family, the last one was with my wife in December. I also order for pick up here. Very good food, excellent service. Fast. Love it!!!

Good value

By HectorFL |

Had dinner there last Thursday. There is a $10 menu that is a very good value, includes soup and dessert. They have a varied selection of seafood dishes on the regular menu. Food is good if not spectacular. Service was excellent.

I Sure Wish Publix Seafood Looked (and tasted) THIS Fresh!

By Dave Y |

I hit this place --in a little shopping mall right by the Kendall Airport-- about a year ago and remember being impressed with the gorgeous freshness of the seafood on ice by the counter; and with a first-rate fillet of fish they served me back then. The past few weeks I've been really jonesing for some FRESH conch chowder, and I figured these guys would be first rate. Boy Howdy, was I right. I've had Conch Chowder in the Keys, in the Caymans, in Belize, in mainland FL, and most often in the Bahamas... and I've never had better that what I had tonight. I'd give them a perfect 10, but that will have to wait till about late May when they can use a deep, blood-red tomato from the local fields.

Nice date

By Henry S |

Love the food definitely a+ the service was really good everyone very nice n fast. Will definitely comeback.

Service is great

By MisPalabras |

I came here for lunch. They didn't have Americanos and the manager was so caring that he created them for me. I then had lobster bisque it was good but warm, would have preferred it to be hot. Shrimp cocktail was on point. Their steamed veggies were good. Lunch was churrasco, I would have preferred them bigger, a little small for me but the taste was delicious and cooked to perfection. Definitely a place worth going to again. Very casual environment.

Excellent food outstanding service

By will |

Visited based on reviews. Was really pleased outstanding service from our server Rey. Warm welcome from everyone Nice atmosphere with many regular customers Food was excellent with very generous portions Strongly recommend you visit

Waiter takes the tip.

By Daniel V |

I have been coming to El Floridita for years now and always enjoyed my visits until recently when my waiter showed us a tray with fish and said that the fish on the tray was more expensive than the normal fish you order from the menu. The waiter also Pre-included the tip when we were just a party of four. I feel that I tip accordingly and usually well. I felt it was intrusive for him to take his tip instead on earning it.

Great place

By Theworldfinder |

Feel like a part of el floridita family, excellent service special from Padron our server. Excellent and fresh food i would recommend without a doubt .

By yosny |

Best Meal for the Best Price Ever

By Brando |

El Floridita restaurant has the best meal for the best price I have ever had in Miami, Fl. U.S.A.. THERE are numerous options for the specials and the service is professional. Clean and pleasant environment. Truly Unbelievable.

Awesome

By hskpr1 |

My first visit, my sister lives in Miami. We wanted to eat seafood and she bought us to this restaurant. The place was very clean. Serviced immediately very friendly too. Food was awesome had snapper fillet with tostones. Gotta say I will be back when in Miami which will be real soon.

Worth the trip

By Bruce-JAX |

We stopped by for their executive lunch, salad or soup, entrée, desert, and coffee for $10 per person. I must say that not only was the service exceptional, atmosphere warm and friendly, the food was FANTASTIC. I enjoyed their chicken soup, steak, and bread pudding I am looking forward to my next visit to try some of their other entrée's. I have dined in many Latin restaurants around the world and El Floridita is on the top of my list.

Great camarones enchilados

By Erick J |

Great seafood restaurant. It is Cuban seafood. What a nice little place. The flavors are incredible. The camarones enchilados with white rice and tostones were divine. I washed them down with a cold one and i was in heaven. My wife ordered the Paella and she was very delighted with her dish. The fish croquetas were good. The prices and service were ok.

My Go-To Spot!

By Jenise R |

It's so nice to find a wonderful restaurant close to home! This area is suburban with not many big commercial businesses so most restaurants are small hole-in-the-walls like this one! However, this is no ordinary hole-in-the-wall. This place is absolutely delicious. The seafood is delectable but what really stands out is the exceptional service! I've come here so many times that all the waiters already know who I am and what I'll probably order that day. But before they knew me, I was always given great customer service. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice bite to eat at a reasonable price. You don't have to go all the way to Kendall Drive if you don't want to!

Good fried shrimp

By Rod McDowell |

I was traveling solo for business, and place was close to my hotel. They had a lot of really good dishes on their menu, but I settled on the fried shrimp. I got the Caesar salad (average) and jasmine rice as a side. I also got a side of creole sauce to smother the rice with (this was a good move). Service was very professional and I enjoyed my experience. Would come back when I had time to wait 45 minutes on the Paella.

One of my favorite Seafood restaurants in Miami

By Juan C |

Whenever I'm in the mood for seafood, this is my place to go to. The service and the food couldn't be better, good affordable wine list with the waiter always making recommendations based on your meal order. Highly recommended.

Very disappointing

By Jose E |

I had visited the restaurant several times but on December 3rd I was surprised by the drop they have made. The fried potato came burnt, the bathroom was dirty, they charged me $4 and something to pass the card and they deducted my tip without my authorization. (I always tip) but I like to do it without being forced. Downstairs

Good seafood got reasonable prices!

By Attila K |

This place seems to be established within this area! There was lots of staff always friendly and attentive fulfilling anything one can ask for! We had the seafood platter with tostones, rice and veggies! The quality of the food was second to none! Well be back! Gracias!

Nice atmosphere and great Latin seafood and more.

By Roxanna G |

We had a nice lunch and variety of items from the $10 menu. The conch fritters were great, Mahi, and steak sandwich were very tasty. Of course the flan was light and delicious. Service was friendly, efficient and professional.

Not good

By Andres Q |

It was the second time I visit the restaurant. The service was friendly and he offered me a ceviche(Octopus). According to him:Peruvian style; then he add if I want it combined with lobster? Not good at all! He killed me: $18+ $14(lobster) My wife ordered pez perro fillets with smashed potatoes and salad:$26. At the end total:$86 I won't come back

Great Seafood Restaurant

By 2lifeadventure |

The one on Bird Road, was really good. They have been around a long time, but it was my first visit there. I was truly impressed. It looks unassuming from the outside, located on the corner of a strip mall. But inside, it was crowded, full of people, doing brisk business. (thats what you look for in a seafood restaurant, it insure freshness). We had oysters, the whole yellow tail snapper pan fried, (Cuban style ) and the Zarzuela of Mariscos (seafood mix with a light tomato sauce. I was delicious.. I highly recommend the place, I know I will be back.

Always Delicious! Always Fresh! And I Am Always Happy!

By Vivian M |

I have eaten and picked up from this restaurant many times as I live down the street! i have always loved it! Yesterday I took a couple of vendors who were visiting to eat and they were amazed at how delicious everything was. Thought it was time I give it a review as I can see it through a newcomers eyes! The gentleman who waited on us was courteous, efficient and made sure we were happy. The lady who periodically filled our water glasses is a God given - I drink a lot of water! Their $10 lunch special is perfect on an given day. Just so happy with El Floridita! Thank You!

Good seafood

By Michael "Mickey" Alemany |

Been here a few times with the kids and wife and the food has been very good. This place is interesting, it's like a small Latin style cafe / restaurant with seafood options. so if you have kids you can bring them, because they have something for everyone. the breakfast, in my opinion is a little pricey for what they give but their lunch and dinner is not bad with regards to pricing and portions. this place is located behind the corner gas station and the auto parts on the corner of 137th Avenue and 136th street southwest near Tamiami Airport in Kendall

Delicious food -- affordable prices

By Millicent V |

Everything was delicious! Ceviche, fried plantains with shrimp, fish stuffed with shrimp, seafood medley pasta alfredo, shrimp soup, bacalao a la vizcaina... even the house Chardonnay was smooth. Prices very reasonable and excellent service.

Amazing $10 menu!

By Mami2three |

This is a great date night place for those who love seafood (though there are several non seafood options available also) that is super easy on the pocket. They have an extensive menu and the prices are typical of seafood restaurants, which is usually much more than we can spend. However, and it's a huge however, they have a $10 menu. WHICH, includes soup or salad, 2 sides, dessert and coffee. The portions are decent and the food we had was delicious! I had the Harina con Camarones, which I expected was going to be Shrimp and Grits but I was pleasantly surprised it was more like Tamal en Cazuela with Creole Shrimp. Absolutely delicious and the creme brulee and fish soup were also delicious. That particular dish comes with only one side because the Harina is the other side so I opted for Maduros which were also good. The cute hubby went for the Tronchos de Dorado (breaded Dolphin chunks) with rice and black beans and it was also delicious. It didn't look like a lot on the plate but it was quite filling and he was unable to finish his dessert. Neither of us got coffee because we seriously could not fit another ounce of anything in our stomachs. The service was great (a little too great as I hate having people hovering), the place is small but nicely decorated and lit. The night we were there it was a bit loud as there were three large parties taking up most of the place but still not as loud as other Miami restaurants, if you know what I mean:) I cannot wait to go back here on another date night. I am looking forward to trying their Lobster Ravioli, which is also on the $10 menu and the Harina con Cangrejo (Crab).

Seafood Feast…

By pompy51 |

Our group of 7 had a great meal. We ordered 2 large appetizer platters with an assortment of items. Cream of lobster soup was light, delicious and loaded with chunks of lobster and large shrimps (by request). We ordered the complete meals of sautéed mahi, and fried mahi chunks. Each meal came with fish soup, two sides, dessert and café for a mere $10! Everything was promptly served and delicious. Enough food for 3 doggie bags! 15% tip added to bill. Our waiter Alex was excellent!

Nice Restaurant

By ALMD |

Here the food is good, with a large variety of different plates. The outdoor seating is peaceful, fast service.

Average

By Delatorrellc |

We come here because this area has limited choices when it comes seafood. The food is average and the prices modest. I've tried the ceviche, different fish soups, the grilled seafood platter, the fried fish eggs and I've been here for breakfast. The only this here that is very very good are the black beans and the service.

El Floridita Seafood Restaurant- Kendall

By Dinora S |

My husband and I enjoy eating at this small and quaint restaurant. Our last visit was last week and again, this restaurant does not disappoint. Our server was hands on, professional and saw to our needs quickly. The wait time was great and they provide good and safe social distancing. Outside dining is also available. Please feel free to have lunch or dinner here. I do not believe you will be disappointed. I ordered the garlic shrimps with rice and black beans. My husband ordered pasta. We totally enjoyed our meal

tiny portions

By Rudy G |

Went to get some auto parts in business next door and decided to have lunch there. Service average. Ordered Mahi sandwich. to my surprise it was a paper thin filet of fish, one sliced tomato with enough lettuce and cold bun that tasted like it was taken out of the cooler, stale fries accompanied the sandwich. definitely not going back

Tasty seafood

By frogsinthecreek |

We stopped be for dinner as it was close to our hotel. Its a small, well kept place with easy parking. Our waiter was attentive and made some good suggestions, including bringing out the giant shrimp for us to see before we ordered them. The seafood seems very fresh and was well prepared. Price range is very so there is something for everyone. It looked like there were some great $10 specials as well which we may try next time.

Wonderful Breakfast

By MJ778 |

We had breakfast for first time, our great server was Enrique. We both had two eggs, bacon, ham, and ham croquetas. The breakfast comes with toast, and café con leche. We don't drink coffee, but we loved the breakfast. We in addition order mimosas! Great way to start the day!. We have visited before several times but our first for breakfast. The restaurant employees are always so friendly and caring. The food is super fresh, our orange juice for the mimosas was fresh squeezed. So affordable, great parking, location. Must come back for more.

El Floridita is great find.

By Trieileen |

El Floridita is a local little gem. The majority of the customers seemed local. The fish was so fresh and tender. The service was excellent and price was very reasonable.

Fast and good price

By Monica20Lee |

For $10 you get the lunch special that comes with soup, main dish and dessert. Our server was Rey, who was genuinely friendly, made our visit a good one. The restaurant is located by a soccer field, where my son's team was playing a tournament. It was fast, convenient, friendly. Convenient and good food.

If seafood is your thing, this is one not to miss.

By Getxo8 |

We went for a family dinner early afternoon. The restaurant was full and remained so during our entire meal. We did not have to wait but there was a crowd waiting when we left. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. Prices range from $10 for a complete meal, desert and coffee included, to market prices for catch of the day. Our party had fish, chicken and squid, all perfectly made and in large servings. We also had fish soup, croquettes and fritters, also perfectly made and fresh. The service was average from our waiter but the busboy more than made for it as he even noticed. We'll definitely go again. Bon appetit!

Review for the $10 lunch menu

By Yamila D |

Don't... I will be giving this place a 3rd try but for the regular menu. I dropped in twice for a quick seafood lunch. Lobster ravioli was cold and dry...got it down with a full glass of wine, fish soup was good though. Today I felt like eating a quick fish sandwich, ordered the minuta, is not good... overly fried and it tasted like whatever was left of all fish and puréed together to build a smaller than a mahi mahi fish on a burger bun, the fries as well, overly fried. Definitely will review again for the regular menu. It's just quite annoying that wendys has a better fish sandwich than an actual seafood place for less than a $10 value...

A Stranger in A Strange Land

By TheCovertCritic |

Do I remember my high school Spanish? Not enough to communicate here. Hand signals and gleaning minimal understanding of the options presented does not make for a relaxing meal. I couldn't ask questions and expect a comprehensible answer. Later, after the meal I asked passing servers twice for a bill and also used hand signals several times trying to flag a server to no avail. Finally, by employing the "get out of seat and stand in front of the kitchen" trick worked and the bill was presented. Just the memory of this visit makes me tense.

Great food and service!

By AvdV80 |

Stopped by here on a rainy evening for dinner. Restaurant is easy to find and has enough parking available. Cozy atmosphere with friendly service. Food is definately great; both appetizer (soup) and main course were very tasty and had a good portion. Really liked El Floridita and will definately be back in the future!

Serendipity

By traveller |

Booked holiday inn express round the corner at short notice in order to be close to airport. Based on a quick google maps search for restaurant we found this place. We are so happy - after 2 weeks self drive holiday in Florida & the Keys this is the best meal we had, a shame we had to wait until our last night for it. Restaurant has a lovely, friendly local vibe. Service was excellent (Rey was our server), food exceedingly good.

First and last visit

By YL-JC |

We went for lunch last saturday. The place is nicely decorated and a litlle bit fish smelly, but that is something you would expect from a seafood restaurant. We order pasta alfredo with shrimp, no taste at all. My husband ordered rinonada (beef steak) with the smallest portion of white rice we have ever had in a restaurante and black beans, they were good. My mother in law ordered Shrimps and fried potatos, 6 little shrimps in the most expensive meal on the table. Unbelievable pricy and bland food.

Fresh Seafood in a Small Local Cafe

By Bryan K |

El Floridita is hidden off the main road, so you have to look for it if you want to go there. It's around the corner in a storefront facing away from the Tamiami Airport. But it's well worth it. A small place with attentive staff, it's a pleasure to visit with excellent food. There's a $10 combo menu if you want a great full meal (soup, meal, desert) at a good price. We've found some of the better dishes, though, on the regular menu. It costs a bit more, but it's worth it.

Good food

By Marcelo S |

Very good croquetas. Used to be my favorite restaurant nearby my house, but one bad experience ( service ) makes me stay away for a while and try different places..... Remember the food is good.

Fantastic service, food, atmosphere

By MJ778 |

We had Monica M. As our server, she was exceptional! The restaurant has a good location inside the RGB Plaza; with plenty parking. It has outdoor siting. Window/outside service and inside sitting. It is a little dark inside but is cozy. Great selection of wines. The cooler has the display of the selection catch of the day fresh fishes, seafood. I had and tremendously enjoyed the Ceviche Pulpo, it was sensational. We also order sopon marinero which was incredible good. The Langosta Floridita Thermidor was out of this world delicious, we also order The catch of the day Hog Fish, which was incredible as well. We enjoyed the Maso Canaly wine and the cops de vino dulce. All the food was very fresh, great flavors, seasoning. The Ceviche was one of the best ceviches Pulpo I have ever eaten!. Monica made our experience from start to finish veery plesent, and enjoyable. The restaurant restrooms were very clean, and the restaurant service is five stars. The atmosphere is very positive, friendly, professional very old Spanish decor and ambiance. The beautiful photos and marine time decor are super cute. I love the plates with little fishes. In the middle is a very beautiful large salt water aquarium! They offer very nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have take -out available. The dishes are very reasonable price for the freshness and taste. In addition to this location they have another in Westchester. We recomend this restaurant for everyone, office parties, meetings, for celebrations of special occasions and events. I will display some photos with this review. Highly recommend for those who love seafood, Spanish cuisine, Latin flavors. We must definatelly will return. Great experience!

EXCELLENT

By Regly P |

I have been a client for many years since the bird road. After the one on 147/coral way opened, I'm running away. It's super close. We go every week. I need to talk to you about Victor, one of your managers in this town (I have NEVER dealt with such a professional, decent person. Complecent, with a special character, treating everyone as equal, I had to talk about him today) tremendous human being, I CONGRATULATE YOU, it's a pleasure to go to this town and feel that way 🙏

Tiny portions and expensive

By Chingolo |

We went to eat seafood and the bill was almost 100 dollars for 3 people The amounts of the dishes and side orders were tiny We left the place hungry I will never go back The seafood grill was tiny what a rip off Please go to Havana Harry's restaurant in Kendal or Lejune and order the seafood grill and you will see the difference

Hidden Gem

By Saintgonzo |

I have visited la Floridita every time I have been to Miami for the last three years. One block off the main 137 ave. road you could miss this place. Please don't!!! This place is a bargain regardless what you eat and I have had many things on the menu. They even have a $10 menu on a four course meal, but don't pass up the additional lobster bisque. It is worth the trip alone. The service is excellent, attention to detail and all the seafood is as fresh as humanly possible.I should have written a review long ago, but this trip I met the owner and the manager and they deserve accolades for this place. I wish there was one in every city.

Wrong in so many areas...

By Cohibaba |

Went there with a family party of 8. The atmosphere is definitely nautical, with the "smell" of seafood in the air. They have a $10 combo meal that everyone speaks about and is a great deal, if you don't mind the taste of the food. Our fish soup starter was a poor start - very fishy and inedible for many of us. They brought us a salad instead which was a better choice. And there is no bread to start with - only crackers (which I guess is ok if you like saltine crackers...). The portions are large, but our food side dishes were cold and the rice seemed to have been sitting out for a while. And to top it off, it was freezing inside. We asked 3+ times to lessen the A/C but was told that "we had just come in from outside where it was hot and we would get used to it"... (really?). Bottom line - not what I had in mind and certainly wouldn't return - far too many better seafood choices around.

Their croquetas!

By jeanette90 |

Everything I have tried here is delicious but the croquetas (any kind) are always amazing! They're a hefty size and filling, filled with flavor and hit the spot ever time.

2021-13 “Different Cuban Restaurant”

By mountain22 |

This is not a restaurant to go for authentic Cuban cuisine; however, it is a very good seafood restaurant, offering a variety of fresh seafood, as well as shrimp fried rice that was delicious. They offer outside seating as well as inside seating. Very friendly staff (Alexander) very attentive to your needs. We certainly enjoyed it and will visit again next time I am in the area.

Credit Card payment fee

By Yankee1000 |

I was charged a $1.88 fee (punishment) for paying with a debit card and I was charged $3.00 for a very small bottle of sprite. This is the first time I see a restaurant charging (punishing) their customers for paying with a card. People don't use cash anymore and this is a way of telling your customers you are not welcome here. This was my second and last visit to this place.

Complete ripoff....avoid this place.

By SamEHollis |

Super tiny portions, and the prices are sky high. The fish I ordered was a tiny sliver that I ate in about three bites....and that cost me $20 bucks...absurd. All the portions were small. Yet completely overpriced. Avoid this place and go somewhere else.

Great place with delicious food

By travelingjacquelined |

Went for lunch with my Coworkers. Got their special, a choice of fish, two sides, dessert and coffee. Great portions. Good food and good prices.

Combo!

By ncmtnpadre |

Wonderful evening with great friends. It was our last stop before ending a memorable journey. Our friend chose this local favorite. Recommend the lobster bisque and the Combo. More than enough to eat. Service was impeccable! Gracias, Enrique!

Floridita Kendall, I do not recommend it

By Joan G |

I was a customer of these restaurants for 10 years, but today was my last day, I ordered a paella at 11.0 am to arrive at the restaurant at 12.15 pm, at 12.45 the dish finally arrived. The appetizer of bread and butter that I ordered upon arrival arrive just with the paella. My paella contained only 8 mussels, two slices of chorizo, and 1 shrimp and a piece of meat that looked like pork, for this alone I paid $48.0 plus tax and tip. They do not accept credit cards of any kind. If you add 4 beers and a salmon with mashed potatoes to my order, Surprise, PAYS 140.0$ in total. Believe me, I'm sorry more than the owner, I swear, they must close now.

THANKS

By First and last visit |

I have to thanks one cousin because She recommends Rl Floridita, so, I visit the place. In a month I went four times because I love everything there: Service ambiente and combo price. One time my husband try the regularmenu but it's no worth. I tried different dishes I love all of them and the amount is super for me and OK for my husband.

Fresh Seafood without having to go to the river or oceanfront

By no1smilecreator |

Great local fresh fish eatery in the heart of westchester. Has been around for years. It is one of the few places left in town that still serve lobster thermidor. The fish croquettas are the best in Miami and I am a native! Pair well with a cold beer and some malanga fritters. They have an inexpensive executive lunch under 10 dollars for those on a budget during the week.

$10 special!!

By Alex |

I love this place! Not the kind of place you take your significant other (unless you've been dating for a while). They have an awesome lunch special! For only $10 you get an appetizer, lunch, dessert, and coffee!! Perfect for a quick business lunch!

Good

By Yasne T |

This place is ok! The service is good, the appetizer with the fried yuca, the frish croquetes was really good , is great for sharing with two to three people!!! I got the ceviche and i didnt like it, too much lime and the fish was hard. The fried fish was a good option. Beans were really good and the mashed potato also!

Excellent under the radar local eatery

By MiamiPaul26 |

Really nice staff and grest variety menu. Cuban food done right. Busy on weekends. Has $10 prix fixe menu in back of menu.

By artigabriel |

A pearl is this place In kendal The food is a 10 Attention is a 10 The setting is also a 10 It really is a place that. At least we have to go once

Awesome lunch and dinner special

By GerardoSuarez |

On the back on the menu you choose for a fixed reasonable price from fish, chicken or meat main courses that come with soup, dessert and expreso coffee. Well, the portions are small but very reasonably priced, and I have not left hungry. If you have a hearty appetite try the fried rice, you actually can see the shrimp. It is simply delicious.

Always great food they also have a fantastic $10 menu

By richlz-1 |

Always great food they also have a fantastic $10 menu but you have to really look towards the back of the menu 10$ special includes soup entree and dessert

There are two locations but I always go to the one by 137th Avenue SW. Their wine selection is good and affordable, they probably make the best seafood in town, and the service deserves 6 stars. Love the fish stuffed with crab meat.

the $12 Menu

By Ana H |

We go to this restaurant at least once a week, The reason we like the $12 menu is because of the perfect size portions, My husband loves sweets, I don't car for it so he would get my dessert and his . Today we were told the dessert is no longer included with the $12 menu. We understand , that's fine , we don't have a problem with paying for the dessert, so my husband ordered the Natilla Catalana, When they brought it to him it was the same SMALL size of the Dessert included with the $12 menu, so he told the waitress to take it back...If they are going to charge for the desserts then they have to make the portions a regular size...Other than that the food is really good..!!!!!!

Super!

Food and service were both very good…seafood was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the octopus starter and the lobster in garlic butter sauce.

Seafood galore

Dishes are carefully prepared, service is attentive and friendly, very focused in customer satisfaction, great selection of fish and other seafood specialties. Fish and lobster croquettes are excellent, a very pleasant overall experience.

one of my most trusted and favorite

El Floridita is a Cuban seafood restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is quaint. Not too big but comfortable. My favorite is the Camarones al Ajillo (garlic shrimp). Try it if you get a chance you wont be disappointed.

Unforgiveable

You simply cannot run out of fish if you're a seafood restaurant. Not in Miami !!! This is not Iowa !!!

Excellent food, ambience and service

This has been one of my family's favorite. We usually bring friends and family visiting us to taste is for the first time and they love it. The food is great, always fresh, which is essential for a seafood restaurant. Service is excellent, professional, friendly and personal at the same time. There are plenty of options in the menu. It is definitely a hidden gem!

Fish filet ajillo- poor taste... too garlicky.. they offered lobster tail and they bring you a tiny piece... I'm very disappointed, this is the 3 visit... looking for a dish to impress... yet, I have not found one. May not return

Terrible service!

We did not get to eat! The waiter was sooo rude that she made my wife uncomfortable and upset! He was in a hurry , did not give us time to read the menu, or to drink a glass of wine before ordering

Good Value

We went to El Floridita on a weekday a last week for lunch. Had been there a few years ago, but since we moved away from the area hadn't been back. The place was full, but didn't have to wait for a table by the window. They have a nice lunch special for $10. It was just the size and quality we wanted for lunch. Everything is included, even the wine and espresso along with the entrée (we had grilled fish) with 2 sides, and dessert, all small portions, but right for lunch. Will go back.

A good meal for your money!

This is a very unassuming, easy to miss seafood restaurant on one of Miami's busiest main drags (Bird Road SW 84 Avenue ). It manages to keep serving quality fare every time, at very reasonable prices, and with friendly, attentive service. They have an outstanding Sopon Marinero (a thick seafood stew), cod fritters, and all things "fishy". Their $10 week-day lunch menu offers a wide variety of choices and includes soup, salad, a soft drink and dessert along with a generous main course and two side dishes. While you wait to be served, you can get your apettite going with their free fish dip and crackers and a cold beer, wine or soda. Only word of caution is don't save too much space for dessert because they are nothing to write home about. Bottom line: a good place to go by yourself, with the family or for a business lunch!

Overpriced scammers

They’re scammers and overpriced. Take your business elsewhere (where it’s appreciated). So I went to Floridita today for the lunch special, as I’ve done before. I always order the mahi with 2 sides, comes out to about $14. Today the server said there was no mahi, and that instead it was snapper or salmon. So I ordered the snapper. Ten minutes later the entire table next to me orders the lunch special with mahi. Ok weird that the sever lied to me but I move on. THEN I get the bill and it’s $25! So he lied again and actually charged me for a snapper plate versus the lunch special. They did not correct the charge which is disrespectful bc it’s their lies that tricked me. When I get back to work, I tell the story to my coworkers to find out it’s happened to three other people! So it’s clearly a scam. Avoid this overpriced place and take your business elsewhere.
