Service is a little slow but their breakfast tacos are to die for. Their lunches are all good. Very small dining area so best to get take out. And very reasonably priced. Did I say the food is good? Any place in Dallas you see Real Mexicans, Anglo's and African Americans standing shoulder to should to order has to be good.

Love Tacos at this place. Cheat and good quality. Attracts local crowd which is a good indicator.

Since 2002, I have been coming here. Mannnnn.....everything is good. My favorites are the guacamole cream sauce. It's spicy and good. I will purchase a 20 ounce cup of it :). The el pastor is mandatory for me to order and sometimes the bistek in tacos or burritos. The beans, red & green salsa are lip smacking goood. Yes the service is a little slow but hey .... You are getting some delicious food. Stopping here to eat is alwayzzzz planned in our trips to Big D.

the food is great...best chicken nachos. the clientele is always fun & friendly. we go at lunch so no one is drunk. enjoy

Place looked like a renovated KFC or something, I should have known. I ordered two breakfast tacos and they were the worst I have had by far in Dallas or Austin. They also charge an extra $0.10 for beans which I do not understand, because they hardly give you any! It was more bean juice than beans poured over the top of the taco, bummer I could have skipped out on this one, not going back, save your $2

Dallas TX has many restaurants that advertise and attempt to sell Mexican Food. However for the most part, Dallas as a Mexican food destination fails, and it fails often. However, El Paisa on Harry Hines, delivers the real deal. Not just sometimes, but every time. They are only open until mid afternoon, but breakfast and lunch is wonderful. The food is flavorful, plentiful and a bright note in every aspect. The place is small, but clean. You will need to compete with the contractor pick ups during the morning rush, but it is well worth the wait. And it will NOT dent your budget.

I learned about El Paisa while on UberEats - And while visiting Dallas, ended up eating there four times! Their burritos and Guac& Chips are some of the best I've ever had. great price, Great food. Just be careful - they're addictive!!!!

Great tacos. I work in the area and recently went in search of tacos and since I saw lots of work vehicles out front figured this place would be good. I was not disappointed. There was a short line when I got inside and the place had plenty of seating. After looking over the menu I got some Pastor tacos and Barbacoa tacos. I do consider myself somewhat of a taco connoisseur so I was eager but skeptical when they asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas. I chose corn obviously. The tacos came out like real street tacos with lime, cilantro and onion. They were both fantastic!! I would say the pastor is some of the best that I have enjoyed in Dallas. They are pretty cheap at $1.50 a taco and they definitely do not hold back on the meet.

The drive through is somewhat weird. You order on one side and then drive around to pick up food on the other side. Cashier was very friendly and helpful. Ordered al pastor sopes with no beans and they got it right. The food was ok nothing to brag about.

This place was so packed for breakfast but the line went fast and it was delicous. And to make even better it was cheap. This will not be my new spot. And all the staff was friendly. Great team work; to get the line moving quickly.

It's not fancy. Small and crowded. Prices are cheap and food is great. I had the potato, egg and jalapeƱo breakfast platter and my husband had the chorizo and egg. The sauces are fresh and delicious. Plenty of cilantro , onion and fresh cabbage. Lots of tortillas. Great breakfast !

It is a no-frills, no-gimmicks, cheap, authentic, and DELICIOUS Mexican joint! You can get 3 fresh tacos, rice, and beans for under $6. The steak and chicken are perfectly, and are full of flavor. They also serve al tacos pastor, chicarron, barbacoa, and carnitas. Take your pick! They also carry an assortment of grab and go Mexican soft drinks and the mandatory Horchata which is also really good. I then spent a good 10 minutes at the condiment getting a sampling of everything. Salsa verde, a smokey red salsa, pickled jalapenos and carrots, pico with fresh jalapeno, diced fresh jalapeno, fresh diced onion, fresh cilantro and a creamy avocado sauce. It was condiment heaven. The inside was clean and I took a few minutes to stare at the menu, before deciding on the Bowl of Soup. Um, this was 5 dollars. Seriously? After a short wait, they called my number for pickup.. Everything looked clean, neat, and ordered. Quick Lunch - Mostly working people in for a fast Lunch.

I gave it a try and that's it. I don't think i will eat there again. Nothing impressive although food was fairly OK.

Our nurse recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. There is a very small eat in area that was very plain but full. The restaurant was steadily busy with people from the surrounding area. Help space me little English but went out of their way to take care of their customers. If you are wanting a nice sit down meal go somewhere else. If you want some really great Mexican food then come here because this is very good. Their big burrito will rival Moe's large burrito but this one is much better. There were only cleaner plates here because no one wanted a tasty morsel left uneaten.

Maybe I didn't order the right item--carnitas burrito, but i was dissappointed. Salsas were nice however. Wait time was average.

OMG! The chicken nachos are the best, and the chips are the best I've ever tasted. I haven't been able to try anything but the nachos. The chicken is flavorful, the queso is great, there's grilled onions as well. DELISH!
