Good address for tacos or quesadillas accompanied by a cheap Margarita during the happy hour. The food is good without being stellar. The staff are very welcoming and attentive.

After walking around on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we decided to have lunch at this place. It was Mariachi Sunday, which was a very nice touch. The ambiance felt too rushed and nothing beyond the norm. Now onto the food. We got queso fundido (melted cheese) with chorizo. It was good, but pretty pricey for an appetizer ($17). For our entrees, we got sopes and chile verde. All of the food was tasty but nothing that really stands out. We also got a watermelon margarita and a cucumber margarita. All in all, for a Mexican restaurant, it was overpriced for the quality and ambiance. The bill came out to $100+ for 3 people on lunch. There's a few restaurants around in the area, I would try instead of this one.

Our group of 4 went there for dinner and all enjoyed it: the food was good, especially the enchiladas, the cocktails were nice and strong and the service was very friendly. We ordered the table side guacamole to share and that was fun. The area is a little dead at night compared to midday, but it was still ok.

We Went To The 75th Anniversary Celebrations Across The Street At Los Angeles' Iconic "Union Station" - After A Busy Afternoon Checking Out The Classic Train Cars and Amtrak's Rolling Exhibit (Which I Loved), We Walked Across Alameda Ave. To "Olvera Street" The Birthplace of Los Angeles. We Decided To Eat At "El Paseo Inn" as We Needed A Good Meal (and Air Conditioning Inside The Dining Room as It Was A HOT Day for May 3rd). The Waitress "Isabel" Was Very Friendly and Professional - Our Food Was Very Good. I Had The Two Cheese Enchilada Combo Plate with Rice and Beans. Four Claws Up!!!! We Walked Around "Olvera Street" Then Came Back To "Union Station" For The Amtrak Train Ride Back To Anaheim. I Would Return. Joe G. 'Bear'

We rode Amtrak from Anaheim to Los Angeles. Olvera Street is right across the street from Union Station and easy to find. We strolled the shops selling authentic Mexican crafts and wares and met with friends and family for a meal at the El Paseo Inn Restaurant. It is not a fancy eatery but the food and service were very good and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it as a great location for good food.

The food was authentic, delicious and a decent serve. The service was as good. The staff were friendly and patient was we took our time deciding. We had dinner one night and breakfast another day. Both excellent and well priced. Try the sangria - it is to die for!

Good food, comes quickly, located right on Olvera Street, they treat you right, staff is friendly. I came on a Monday for a late lunch, will definitely try the patio dining next time, I sat inside this time, which is fine. Pricing is a little high, but average with other restaurants located nearby, I will definitely visit this place again, but likely during Happy Hour when they have some specials.

We rode the Metrolink to LA from Rialto to see the Science Center and National History Museum and back to Olvera Street for an early dinner. We decided on El Paseo Inn because they said the wait would only be about 10 min even though there was a long line waiting. It actually only took about 7 minutes to get a table. The service was a little slow but what can you expect for Father"s Day and a very full house. The service was good once they got to our table and took our orders. Our waitress was always coming back to check on us to see if we needed anything. The chips and salsa were very good, especially if you like your salsa a little on the spicy side. The margarita's are a little pricey but this is Olvera Street. They have a good menu to choose from and was reasonably priced. The food was good but not great, but the portions were large and filling. We sat on the patio and it was a little crowded and your chair is against the chair behind you when you are seated. But if you don't have to get up it is fine. It is a nice place for people watching as they look through the little shopping area on Olvera street. I would return to this restaurant again.

We found this place by accident while waiting for an event at Union Station. It is situated on Olvera Street in the middle of a market area. We just ordered a small appetizer (chips, salsa, and black beans) and margaritas. The service was quick and friendly. We sat on an outdoor patio type area in the market which was great for people watching. The food we had was good, but the margaritas were fantastic. Not too sweet. Would go there again for sure.

A friend was in LA for the week and we wanted traditional Mexican food, so of course we headed to Olvera St. We picked the El Paseo Inn almost by default because there were a couple open tables on the patio. We were there for an early dinner. It's summertime, but it was still comfortable outside. The Inn is a traditional looking place. It has a long patio suitable for people watching. Inside there is a big open space where there was probably music at some point. There is also a bar inside. We ate the chips and salsa and ordered a couple beers. For dinner I wanted something traditional and ordered the Santa Monica enchiladas, which featured an interesting combination of chicken, shrimp and mushrooms. They turned out to be quite tasty. My friend ordered the Sombrero Salad, which featured chicken, avocado & Monterrey Jack cheese. He actually ordered it without the tortilla shell, since he knew he would not eat it, The salad was good and filed his plate. Our waiter was quick to take our order and the food did not take long to prepare. We noticed the place was actually emptying out and came to find out summer ours only go till 7 pm on weekdays. They do go till 8 on weekends, but it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Delicious food and margaritas at a lovely sit down restaurant in the heart of Olvera Street. Everyone was very attentive. Grab an outside table to people watch and enjoy the scene

The Service: Attentive. More tourists than local people dining here. The Food: Love the happy hour menu. However, it is only during Monday to Friday. It is a little bit pricier compared to other food vendors on Olvera Street. Some days they have live music, kind of entertaining. Nice patio seating area.

We enjoyed a late lunch here and chose the interior enclosed courtyard room because of the air conditioning. Food was good, service excellent, and the mariachis good to have, and not obnoxious (ie they don't hang around you acting like you must tip them). The ceviche was excellent, although unless you're really hungry, stick with the $10 one instead of the enormous $15 one

Very disappointing experience. The menu is tempting... except that when you ask if there is coriander... well, there is absolutely everywhere! In addition, not a single dish would be possible to make without coriander.... yeah... So we had to have quesallidas, the only possible dish according to the waitress. And frankly meh. Disappointed

I went here as a part of a very large group. They served us buffet style with speed and efficiency. The setting was lovely and it was a fun break from the day. The waitresses could not have been better at taking care of such a large group. The food was yummy. The cheese enchiladas here are fantastic.

Came here for lunch with friends. Great food, good service, historical building. Only reason I gave four rating because their alcoholic beverages have very little alcohol in it. If you are here, come here for experience. But not worth coming just for the restaurant itself.

This is a good spot to have a sit down meal while you are visiting Olvera Street in Los Angeles. I felt the food was alright, and the service was great. Our server, Yadira, came to the table several times, and made sure that we had everything that we needed throughout our meal. We had mariachi entertainment which I felt was a nice touch. I felt the food and cocktails were a bit pricey, however this is a tourist spot.

A nice place to eat, friendly service and great good. We had the house special nachos and the chicken burrito, it was delicious! The best thing however, was the macho mega margarita...so good!

Very good on the $$$ side service was wonderful the atmosphere was great in old town la very interesting history. Guacamole wonderful tried to return but didn't have a chance missed the mariachis!!!!!

– We were visiting Olvera Street and came upon The El Paseo Inn Restaurant. We were hungry and the menu looked good. The restaurant was busy but to us was okay and usually indicates that the place is good. We waited in line for 5 minutes or so and elected for an outside table. Our party of 3 ordered the veggie fajitas entrée, a combo enchilada entrée and a combination sopes entrée. All three were very good and the chips and salsa were tasty as well. The prices here are a little higher than you might expect, but the service was excellent and the place was very clean. We enjoyed the meal.

We liked the place and the location. The food is good, but $ 12.00 for one Corona it is not acceptable.

We have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. They make homemade tortillas as you watch. I don't think that there is anything we haven't tried on the menu. But Fajitas are my favorite

We went there with Family and had a great time. Nice Margaritas and great food. The staff was very helpful. Loved the place.

Located across the street from historic Union Station on Olvera St., friendly service, delicious food, and authentic atmosphere.

Came here as I was craving taquitos . We figured Olvera st would be the best place. WRONG! I ordered taquitos.. they weren’t homemade rather frozen and on my plate. I was so disappointed in this “authentic “ Mexican restaurant. Happy hour beer is $4.25 not bad. Chips n salsa was ok. We also ordered a chili verde burrito and that was very good. Beans were also tasty. So... I guess come here but don’t order the taquitos.

Olvera St, the first LA street is always fun. Sights, sounds, colors, and food. I took out of town guests to El Paseo Inn and had the great fortune to be waited on by Maria B. Besides being so beautiful, she was fun, bright, a great waitress! The food was very good but the real treasure is to be waited on by Maria B!

On Olvera Street which is buzzing with Mexican activity and market stalls sit outside and you absorb the colourful atmosphere, alas I was unimpressed by the food therefore would recommend it just to sit, rest, have a snack, and then move on!

This is some of the best Mexican food I've had. The Chile Verde is phenomenal. The drink are great also. Sit out on the veranda f you can. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cool.

Stopped here for lunch and ordered two fish tacos a la carte! The two tacos served on corn tortillas were filled to the brim! Very tasty and filling. Three in my party ordered these and the other ordered enchiladas. Everyone was very satisfied with their lunch choice! We had a wonderful lunch outside on their patio.

I ate dinner at "El Paseo Inn" located on Olvera Street in Los Angeles, CA on 11/10/2012. I've eaten there several time before. The name is somewhat misleading in that "El Paseo" is a restaurant and not somewhere to stay the night. It has been on Olvera street for as long as I can remember. My friend Bonnie and I each had a three item combo. The prices were $23.95 or $14.95 depending on the items. The food was good and the portions were large. A great choice for Mexican food when in downtown Los Angeles.

From the hostess, no hello, welcome. Just said how many then patio or inside. Then our waitress got frustrated when we were ordering drinks then our food. I grew up in LA and now live in Phoenix so I know what good Mexican food is. This is very average and over priced. Next time we visit we will not eat here.

My wife and I ate outdoors to soak up the upbeat atmosphere of Olvera Street. I had the soft tacos combination plate (one each chicken, beef, & pork taco) which was very good. My wife had the excellent enchiladas. The table next to us had the Margaritas which come in two sizes, big and bigger! Great place for a weekend lunch.

Eight of us women took the Metrolink into L.A. and got off at Olvera St. This restaurant is on Olvera St. We had a wonderful lunch and celebrated one of the women's birthday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a wonderful time shopping, eating and fun on the train.

I came here for a family and friends dinner outing. It’s a nice cosy place. We sat on the patio. The service was great, we were 10 people and had several waiters attending to us. The waiter made the guacamole in front of us( see photo). The frozen margaritas were perfect! The meals were tasty and well portioned. The chairs weren’t too comfortable and I suggest the restaurant upgrades them. It was a pleasant experience and I recommend this place.

Very nice for chips, quesadillas and cold Dos Equis for an early evening happy hour. On charming Olvera Street with large indoor and outdoor seating areas.

The food was great tasted like my mothers home cooking great choices. we had a hard time deciding where to eat but the menu on this restaurant was what helped us choose.

On s'est régalé!!! Le service est impeccable, l'équipe est super souriante An incredible time, food was awesome I recommand it so much

We enjoyed a lunch on a Saturday and found the service a bit slow. For example, I had ot ask for more water, and then it took a while to come. The food was all tasty, and service was friendly. The cactus salad was a bit disappointing: It included too much iceberg lettuce and not enough cactus. Restrooms are tiny and not convenient, especially a challenge for individuals with limited mobility.

The food and the service is just great. We were able to get a great table outside and we were able to relax and watch all the people walking down this famous street in Downtown LA. You really should try El Paseo Inn. It is traditional Mexican food with reasonable prices. They also have a full bar. Enjoy and while on Olvera St. your wallet is always in your front pocket.

Average mexican restaurant at reasonable price... we were a group of 7 and sat at an outdoor table which was a bit crowded. The service was great. Food was just OK. Their Tamarind Margaritas, out of this world!

I love the pregame ritual of visiting Olvera Street (the original commerce in LA) prior to the game and El Paseo Inn is the place to be. Make sure you ask for Jose F as he has the personality, recommendations and makes you feel at home. I had the Chile Verde along with the homemade corn tortillas and a few flour!!! Ummmmm. The salsa for the chips was excellent by not being too spicy but actually just right. You will have a line for big events but well worth the wait.

This was very authentic Mexican food and drink with a band that moved throughout the different dining rooms. The delicious food, drinks and music made this a very enjoyable experience!

The El Paseo Inn is not the best Mexican food in LA, thus the 4 stars and not 5, but it is really good and you will have a great time. The El Paseo Inn is right in the middle of Olvera Street, a walking street of maybe 3 blocks. The entire area is all Mexican themed and a lot of fun. The restaurant has a great selection of Mexican food. They have a full bar and their margaritas are super yummy. Everything on the menu is very good. Sit outside so you can watch the people go by and enjoy a nice LA breeze. The service is excellent and now and again they have Mariachis come by--tip them please, they are not paid by the restaurant. The prices are very reasonable. Have a great time. And as always in Downtown LA, your wallet is in your front pocket. But don't worry, the area is very safe and well patrolled.

This was our second time here, the first being 5 years ago. Service was very friendly and efficient, we were seated quickly despite it being busy. Our meals were very good and the servings are generous. The strawberry Margaritas were EXCELLENT. Would dine here again if I was back in LA.

Never eaten Mexican food before, it was ok we took a burrito. It was good the meat side The margarita was very strong.

Although it was a busy Sunday afternoon, we were seated at one of their outdoor tables overlooking Olvera Street shopping area immediately. From the chips and salsa, to the cheese enchilada, chile relleno, and black beans-all our food was delicious and served promptly. Mucho sangria in a large goblet was the perfect addition to our excellent lunch.

Hot hot hot day and the margaritas were fabulous... Husband had chicken mole which he loved.. Large medals and great drinks. Busy place and good service.

When one is traveling on Amtrak long distance as we were, all you find on the train is bland American food, nothing spicy. While El Paseo is not picante to me, it is spicier than amtrak food. We were pleased and would come back again. Good atmosphere. Inside or outside seating. Good service. Hint: try the chicken mole enchiladas. Nice chocolate taste.

What a gem! Loved every minute we spent here, the welcome was warm the drinks was great and the food was of excellent and fantastic taste and value. Karen, our waitress was attentative and great at her job. The manager also came around to ask if we were ok. The menu offers a great selection and the food is great!!! Do not miss out on this restaurant go visit for great authentic Mexican food!!

We ate here during our trip Downtown and it was a Mexican holiday with all sorts going on. The food was really good and the staff were friendly. The place was full of Mexican families out for lunch and felt really authentic. Waiters serenaded the tables playing their Mexican instruments – really good atmosphere and I recommend it over some of the more touristy spots along Olvera street.

As a kid in the 1960's we often went to Olvera St. After I was away a long time we went again. We eat at El Paseo Inn at lunch. Staff was very good and food was some of the best I have had in years. Our waitress also gave a quick way to get back to LA Union station to catch our train. Excellent but wish I could go back but doubt I will be in So Cal soon Thanks

Chilli Verde and Fajitas chicken, Very good and fresh food. Friendly people and wearing nice costumes.

We took some friends from Philly to Olvera Street to so some sight seeing and have lunch. We chose El Paseo because it looked charming (yet typical SoCal Mexican). When the food (fajitas) came the accompanying tortillas were barely warm and the fajitas were also and very bland tasting. My friend and I each ordered a beer (he had two). We requested separate checks as well which they agreed to. We told the waitress we weren't happy with the food (and we seldom ever do that) and she simply shrugged so I asked to speak to the manager. I had to make a second request to speak to the manager and finally he showed up. I told him how unhappy we were with the food and he pretty much just blew us off as well. When the bills came they were really messed up. Items i ordered were on my friends bill and visa versa. We finally got that straightened out but to my surprise the beer cost $8.00 each. You've got to be kidding!!! I believe that because most of the patrons are tourists they don't care how poor the service is because they are not likely to get a return visit anyway. Needless to say the tips stayed in my wallet and as we were leaving a young family had just been seated nearby so I shared my story with them. They got up and left immediately. Touche El Paseo Inn! There are several other places to eat along Olvera Street so do yourself a favor and choose one of them.

Found this quaint restaurant by chance while walking down a small market stall laneway.Food was so good and more than ample.Always full of patrons which is a good endorsement. Certainly value for money with friendly staff and prompt service with a roving band playing Mexican music

Prices are crazy high. Bottled beer was 12.95. Food was good and service was outstanding. Cost... 1 beer, 1 margherita, and a nacho appetizer was $55. Yikes. May not be back. Check out our YouTube channel Coolest Life.

The restaurant is large, and on a popular street, so I was worried, as a tourist, that it might be a tourist trap. No, this is the real thing, and offers very high-quality food and service. The highlight for me and my wife (pictured below, with our two servers) was having Jose Jaime prepare a dish of guacamole right at the table. He prepared it in a stone bowl, known as a molcajete, one of Mexico's many contributions to global cuisine, aside from corn, cacao, and guacamole. It is old tech, but definitely adds to the taste, as well as the charm and anticipation. I think it is also a signal of the restaurant's commitment to cooking and preparing food from scratch, not relying on industrial style processors and distributors. We ate the chicken mole, which was very rich. If there are two of you, I'd advise splitting one dish. It is what we Canadians call "an American plate." The whole street scene is designed for tourists, but this is not a tourist trap. It offers authentic food, prepared and served with great style and courtesy.

I love old school restaurants and this gem inside Olivera Street is a great place for service and food. Emilse our waitress was a great host always with a smile. We ordered the Chicken Fajitas platter, side salad, table side guacamole, and all of it was delicious. They weren't too generous with the beans and rice. Minus one star for the price which was more than I wanted to pay but worth it date night.

We recently visited Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles and found this restaurant. We were seated on the outside patio and found the atmosphere quite enjoyable. Our server was very good and the staff overall quite friendly. We started with drinks and unlimited chips and salsa and guacamole which were very tasty. We had the chili Verde with pork and green tomatillo sauce and the usual sides..very delicious. We also had chicken tacos and fish tacos which were very good. The corn and flour tortillas were fresh and good. Overall, this was a good experience and would recommend.

Olvera street in LA is an area one should visit. The street is lined with merchants and restaurants. The street has a flea market type of feel to it. Most of the venders sell traditional Mexican items; guitars, ponchos, artwork, and clothing. I stopped into the El Paseo Inn restaurant to eat some Mexican food and sip on a Margarita. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is above average. The salsa will tell you the story of the quality of food you will get. Chunky tomatoes but not clunky enough to break your chip, spicy enough but not enough where your begging for water and tasty enough where your asking for more salsa after finishing just half the basket of chips. The burrito and taco I ordered was just as good and I'm happy I chose to eat here. They have a large indoor dining area and a equally spacious outdoor area too. The bartender and staff were really attentive and friendly, and I had no trouble getting a drink or their attention.

It used to be excellent and reasonable for a tourist trap. But it is now 150-200% markup on cheap food and weak, small drinks (did not taste any tequila in my margherita and it was gone in four sips because it was all ice for $17.95). Wake up tourists and avoid!!!! Laden with MSG and $21 for two tacos with chewy beef.... really? Great service, but of course at 18-20% on 150% markup they are loving their tips. Mediocre food for a steep price.

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Portions are very generous. My husband and I shared a plate of carnitas (shredded seasoned pork), It came with rice and beans and 4 thick handmade corn (you can also order flour) tortillas which were kept warm in a tortilla warmer, I also ordered Jamaica, a drink that tastes like a blend of cranberries and pomegranate. Service was courteous and fast.

Went for a mid-day stop with my friend. She took advantage of the "happy hour" margarita with a side of fresh made guacamole. Staff was festive and friendly. Also located at historic Olvera Street downtown LA.

I ate here alone, en route to another part of LA. I have no idea whether or not the food was authentic, but it was tasty enough and the service was quicksilver fast. Handily near Union station too.

Maybe it is a restaurant for tourist, but for me it was a good way for resting and eat good mexican food. The waiters were very kind, and quick. All was fresh and tasty. The location very typical. Prices good.

Sat outside Catina style. The Cadillac margaritas were excellent. The fajitas and enchiladas were very delicious. The fajitas were pricey. The Catina atmosphere and music made us feel right at home

We just returned home from having lunch here, I was happily impressed. I haven been to Olvera Street since I moved to the foothills over 23 years ago, so I was skeptical about eating here. At first the prices seemed high, but not for the amount of food that we were served. We shared an order of Sopes (Chicken & Carnitas w/ a most delightful mango salsa) & Camacho 50/50 Nachos. The Nachos alone were large enough to feed three (3) moderately hungry people, two (2) very hungry people... The food was fresh and delicious. The wait staff, Jose-Luis, Fernando, & Wendi were all attentive & friendly. When we were near the bottom of our chips, Fernando took the basket & offered to fill it with fresh warm chips. The green salsa is spicy, but not unbearably so. The red salsa is savory. The margarita was nothing to write home about, but I have had much worse, so this is not a complaint. There was so much left over we boxed it in two boxes & fed a couple of the homeless people in the plaza.

This is a great Mexican restaurant in the heart of Olvera Street next to the Avila Adobe and across the street from the Sepulveda House. We were fortunate to get an out door table on the covered front porch. The slant of the porch and building bring an historic felling to the meal. As for the food it was great. We had their specialty margaritas and a guacamole appetizer they make fresh at the table. Next I had the fish tacos because they were featured in other reviews. All of the food was great and the historic feel made the experience that much better. The service was very good as well. If you are on Olvera, this is the place to eat.

First time I came to this restaurant was a few years ago when I had a stopover in LA. I absolutely loved it, so when I was back in LA this time I had the opportunity to go there again, twice in the once week! Absolutely love the food, the service is excellent and the atmosphere great. I highly recommend it! Great options for vegetarians.

I've ate here multiple times and have loved every one! We initially stumbled upon it four years ago and have returned nearly every time we've been back in LA. The atmosphere gazing over Olvera Street cannot be beat, and if you're inside well that's great too. Good food and margaritas - though they don't have pitchers anymore.

Visit this place for the service, hospitality and the fried ice cream desert. All were fantastic. The food was good but nothing special except for the mole sauce. The main thing was we were treated as family, the service and attention was perfect.

Very good service and atmosphere. Good quality food and excellent margaritas. We would recommend this and being Olvera St is a good location to get some Mexican culture

Food was a little better than average especially for a tourist spot. I tried a taco, a relleno, a fish taco, and ceviche. The salsa and guacamole were also very good. The prices were reasonable and I think it is an overall good value. The atmosphere is typical SoCal and very nice. The outstanding element here is the service. We received top-notch service from Yadira. I also heard the table behind us raving about the service. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place also.

Loved the atmosphere, but the food was just so so. I was visiting from NJ, and honestly have had better Mexican food here! But we loved the whole ambience of the place, and really had a good time since a few groups serenaded us while we were there. The cost is a bit steep too, but it does cater mostly to tourists, so I wasn't surprised.

This is a must visit for us when we come to LA. Why? When you come from Melbourne, where authentic Mexican is in very short supply, this is the quintessential Californian/Mexican food experience we crave. It has history, atmosphere and fresh food made and served by Mexican people, whose culture invented hospitality. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a margerita or 2, though costly they will bring the experience right home!

I stopped by the El Paseo Inn on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:00. The resturant was not busy and had plenty of seats inside and outside. The Mole Enchiladas ($16.95) were very good. The mole sauce especially was great. The Classic Margarita was also very good. The salsa for the chips was a little spicier than anticipated. And I like spicey salsa.

We were immediately seated at this restaurant - the restaurant about 20 feet away had a fifteen minute wait. The food was good - and the service was friendly. They perfectly made the adjustments we requested - the food came out super fast.

We stopped by when shopping in Olvera Street It was not crowded and we got a seat outside and were assisted by our lovely helpful waiter Roberto in our food and drink choices I had wonderful table prepared guacamole and my husband had delicious beef taquitos- both dishes prepared just as requested in terms of spicy heat. Ice water and good drink options! Definitely go there for the taste and vibe of Mexico in LA

This restaurant was founded in 1930, which is pretty old for a CA restaurant. The server was very friendly and the food was very good. The restaurant itself has outside seating and plenty of indoor seating as well. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, worth a look inside even if you don’t plan to eat here. After our meal, we were brought a few complimentary wedding cookies.

We ate there yesterday for our daughters birthday... as that is where she wanted to go. We have been there many times but due to Covid had not been there for a few years. What a treat to be greeted by the wonderful waitress, Diane, who actually remembered us from our previous visits. Just as before, their food was excellent... fish tacos and beef sopas ... but definitely a bit more expensive. Grateful to say that everything was yummy including their delicious refried beans. The staff was kind to offer our daughter a beautiful flan and then topped off our celebration by singing Happy Birthday to her. All were very friendly and efficient ,,,including the cook and especially Diane. Must admit, going there was the highlight of our day.

Those unfavorable reviews must have been an odd occurrence because we have eaten here once two years ago and today. Both times the food was wonderful. This is a neat restaurant in the middle of "little Mexico" on Olvera Street. The vendor stalls with a variety of Mexican trinkets are close proximity to the outside seating section so patrons can eat and have a form of entertainment in people watching. Today, my hubby's Chile Verde was very good...served very warm. I had the Albodingas meatball soup and had to wait a couple of minutes for it to cool down....A very delightful mix of broth, meatballs, and veggies. Tortillas were also served hot. Beer and margaritas were cold. Sorry others had a bad experience, but it was great for us.

You would never know how large the place is until you walk in. The fact that it is in the Historic part of Olvera Street is pretty cool. FIRST thing to order has to be the Baja Mojitos and Table Side Guacamole! If you are looking for a place to have a few drinks and watch a game -- it has a small bar with one TV but it serves its purpose. My BF's mom order the Chile Rellano -- made with ground beef and potatoes -- looked super yummy. My BF order the Olvera Street Combo plate (Crispy taco, Chesse Enchilada, Tamale, Chile Rellano with mex rice and beans -- I had some when he wasn't looking. It was tasty and perfect for someone who wants a little of everything. I ordered the Veracruzano (grilled red snapper with a spicy red sauce). I ordered the sauce on the side so I could control the heat -- it came with black beans and white rice with cilantro -- all tasty. Tortillas were all hand made -- be aware the corn tortillas were pretty thick. Its a must try -- especially after a long day at Universal Studios and you are looking for a place with good food and not commerical!

Fantastic location....surrounded awesome life novelty stores. the waitress we had in a yellow dress working lunch shift on Friday just been....what a wonderful lady! so friendly and king. super interactive and very sweet. the food was sondelivious and very generous on the portion size....especially for price! would defo recommend if you're in the area :) Just lovely

Right in the heart of Olvera Street this sit-down restaurant does not disappoint. The food is great, and the service is even better.

While sightseeing in the Old Town section of LA near Union Station, decided to have dinner in this area. I looked at the choices and decided to give this restaurant a try. All-in-all it was not too bad and enjoyable for this location.

Live Mariachi music! Love this place the food and service was good. I had the shrimp ceviche, the line can get long, so plan it right before you're stuck in a long line or call ahead to see if can reserve.

Went here for lunch with the kids and grandkids. Service was super attentive and friendly. Food came quickly and was well prepared and good. For a touristy location, we were pleasantly surprised.

If you're visiting El Pueblo in Los Angeles, grab a bite their. The restaurant sits on parts of an old winery and has been around since 1930. Mexican food with very friendly service. Try the ice cream for dessert.

This is one of the main restaurants on Olvera Street. Unlike some of the fast food/takeout available spots on this historic street you can actually sit down inside, where there is A/C, or outside on their patio. The table salsa was very good, with a bit of heat as we like it. Most of our dishes were tasty. The menu has plenty of options, although pricey for what you get. Geared to tourists of course, but for us locals we can get better food at more reasonable prices elsewhere. Pictured is an enchilada plate, 2 sopes of carnitas with a mango salsa, and a burrito.

When eating at Olvera Street, you have many options. In fact, many are old historic restaurants! I took my chance with the El Paseo Inn and am SO glad I chose it! It is absolutely beautiful wherever you are! The outdoor seating is nice and relaxing, and the indoor seating is just beautiful! We were there for lunch, but I'd LOVE to see what this place looks like at night! I love places with amazing ambiance, and this has it in abundance! The food was really good too! The kids meals were a bit pricer than I would have liked, but overall the prices were fair. My waiter was very kind and overall the staff seemed happy like they were having a good time, which is important. When you're near Olvera Street and don't know where to eat... hit this place first!

Went here for lunch on a whim. We were greeted warmly and given a choice table on the patio next to the wall. Great people watching...even saw someone we knew! Our server was excellent as were the Margaritas and the Mole'. Great place, we will be back!

Been comming here since 1959. Great food, atmosphere, fajitas, margaretas.. It's on Olvera St across from Union Station in Los Angeles. Back to normal.

This Mexican restaurant is located in downtown Los Angeles, across from Union Station (Amtrak) in the historic Olvera section. Excellent authentic food, very good and not a lot of money. Staff excellent and offered suggestions if not familiar with this type of food. Advertised as being in place since 1930. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food this is your place !

Located in El Pueblo, the most antique and historical area of L.A. in a nice and colorful street. This restaurant has a large variety of mexican food. I ate a enchilada dish, the dish had a salad rice and beans too. The atmosfere in the restaurant is fantastic beacuse there is a typical mexican music and the waiters dress with mexican clothes. Great choice if you like mexican food and if you want to transport to Mexico.

We like to travel to downtown Los Angeles from San Diego on the Amtrak, and when we arrived on a Thursday right at noon, it seamed logical to stroll over to Olvera Street to get lunch before going to the hotel to check in. We had eaten dinner at El Paseo on a previous visit, so we decided to return for lunch. My red snapper done in Veracruz style was pretty good. The sauce was tasty and did not overpower the fish, but the fish was just a trifle overcooked. My companion ordered carnitas, which he said were above average. The flour tortillas that were served with the entrees were first rate and served piping hot. The flan proved adequate, but for some reason they buried it in whipped cream. Really good flan does not need whipped cream! But I should add that the service was efficient and thoughtful.

Wish I could leave an honest review about this place. Didn't have the opportunity to eat here due to the ignorance, comprehensive issue and incompetence of Manager Peter A. After stating my animals were Service he proceeded to ask for documentation displaying his ignorance to the Law. Denied my Service Animals access. Filed an ADA Complaint. May possibly pursue legal recourse due to discrimination. Will be visiting again shortly. If denied again a second complaint will proceed along with Civil Court actions to discrimination.

I'm 32 years old living in Los Angeles I've never eaten such expensive fajitas with so many onions I ordered fajitas three friends 40 dollars bring two strips of meat and three strips of chicken and 3 shrimp I imagine how rich the owner of the restaurant is.

I stop here every time we stroll down this very historic street in Los Angeles. I don't remember it being so expensive for a couple if margaritas, and shots.

The food Mexican food here is quite good and more important its original and you got the Mexican feel around. A band singing Mexican songs that moved throughout the different dining tables.

This is a casual Mexican restaurant that has your typical Mexican menu of tacos, enchiladas, chili verde, etc. The service is efficient and friendly. The food is very good and authentic. At times, you may see strolling musicians.

This restaurant in the middle of Olvera Street is nothing but a typical tourist trap; I can't imagine anyone going back. Although the pleasant atmosphere is that of a usual Mexican restaurant (wooden beams, tiles, etc.), the food is well below par - the albodingas soup came lukewarm (they did re-heat it at my request) with boiled vegetables in a tasteless watery broth. However, the portion was large enough for a lunch meal and contained several large meatballs. The chips and salsa were fine. The redeeming feature was an "A" rating. Service was friendly and attentive. With the plentiful number of Mexican restaurants in the area, I see no need for a return visit - ever.

My travel companion and I decided to have dinner here, rather than on the Amtrak train, which sorry to say, offers pretty blah cuisine these days. I have eaten at El Paseo once before and it it the bill just fine. The only oddity was that my friend asked for something like an additional tortilla and the waitress said they could not do that. A bit strange. Otherwise, everything was fine. We both had the Enchiladas Santa Monica, with chicken, shrimp, and mushrooms - just fine. We also had their flan for dessert, which I think is the best one of those I've had anywhere. Yes, it is a touristy area, but the prices are fairly reasonable.

After touring Olvera St we felt like a snack and dropped into El Paseo during happy hour. This place has so much atmosphere and charm. Sitting out front you can people watch and listen to the roving musicians in the street. Snacks provided were very tasty, plentiful and good value. Service was excellent and beers & mojitos nice and cold. A must visit if in Olvera St.

We flew into LA from Australia to commence seven weeks travelling around the USA and Canada, and while LA as a whole left us cold but we loved the day we spent around the El Pueblo historical area. Dinner that night - our first in the USA - was at El Paseo Inn, right in the heart of El Pueblo. We loved it! Service was friendly and efficient, buskers playing Mexican music in Olvera street just metres from our table were entertaining, and we enjoyed tasty and very reasonably priced meals. The glass that my wife's sangria was served in could double as a fishbowl, and the meals were similarly sized, more than we could eat. We enjoyed it so much that we travelled back into El Pueblo for a farewell dinner at El Paseo Inn before flying back out of LA on our return home. On a busy Sunday arvo the service wasn't so sharp to begin with, but once we politely expressed a little disappointment with the long wait to order we were well cared for, and the food just as appealing as we remembered from our first visit. This time we ordered less and got it just right. As a total experience dining at El Paseo Inn was a lovely way to both begin and end our time in the USA.

Fun part of a day trip from Orange County. Take the train to Union Station then go straight to the restaurant. Line outside looks long but moves fast. The mariachis are a fun addition to lunch or dinner. Everything is delicious. Don't pass up on the tableside prepared guacamole.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious food amd excellent service. Waitstaff attire is traditional and if you use your imagination, you could be in a Mexican Cafe in Mexico! Very popular and for good reason. We ordered the 'Table Side Guacamole ' which is actually custom at your table. Thisbis also a great 0lace to people watch. Fun and Festive

We sat outside and ate here. Greeted with thick tortilla chips and salsa, we ordered chile colorado and cheese enchiladas. They were both delicious. I really liked the tomato based sauce (I think) used on the enchiladas. Great setting and great food.

I have eaten at a few restaurants in and around Olvera St and have found them touristy. I expected the same from El Paseo Inn but was surprised to find a authentic Mexican food establishment. The menu is short and to the point but includes all the favorites. Salsa has some heat but not to much for the experienced. Margaritas are done well and come in three sizes. Expect to pay up for drinks.

Has a great atmosphere, outdoor patio in the midst of Olvera street or inside which is over the top decorated with great decorations. We chose to be outside. The service is very good, the staff was very attentive to our table and the restaurant was very busy, they are well staffed to handle the crowds. This restaurant is basically a monopoly on Olvera street as the other food options are mostly grab and go type stuff, not full service restaurants. Prices are high. Which is normal for a touristy place. The food is average, not bad but also not a meal you will remember forever. Overall, atmosphere great, food ok.

Loved sitting on the outside patio and dining on tacos. I'd not been to this restaurant for over 30 years, but the food was just as tasty as ever, although a bit pricier than what I remember.

I've been to Olvera Street many times, but this was my first visit to El Paseo Inn. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but our wait was only about 15 minutes. We were entertained by a Mariachi band, we watched people shopping along Olvera Street. My wife ordered enchilada and tamale that she enjoyed and I enjoyed my grilled chicken salad.

This restaurant was built in 1930 and sits in the heart of the historic Olvera street in Los Angeles. We stopped here and had Margaritas that were delicious. They served chips and salsa that tasted very fresh. Great atmosphere, be prepared to wait in line, but this is generally the case in this neighbourhood

It gets a little overwhelming when you're on Olvera Street walking around and then you or your party decide you need food. Of course you want Mexican food... but from which of the 7 different restaurants?? I've been through this so many times and said "let's just go here?" to the closest restaurant, only to end up eating mediocre Mexican dishes. I've eaten at El Paseo twice and last time I promised myself I'd stick to this place. They're so good! Their margaritas are just right, and the tequila list is extensive. I've tried a couple of different dishes and they've been delicious. I especially like how they'll custom make some guacamole right by your table. They'll adjust the ingredients to your liking (cilantro, lemon juice, jalapenos, etc) and it's guaranteed fresh that way. Our server last time was so friendly and funny as he talked to us while making the guacamole (i think his name was Santiago?) Don't take a chance, come here for your meals and margaritas.

We came on a Sunday for a family Reunion. No reservations but were told they could accommodate 22 of us within the hour. While waiting, we enjoyed the mariachis that walk around the restaurant. An hour later we were seated at a large table and were quickly given Chips and Salsa and drinks. There is another website they promote, that if you check in, you get a free Guacamole. They would only split our table into two checks due to the amount of us, but that was ok. We understood. Unfortunately, it was so busy and they could only give us one server. SHE WAS AWESOME! Angela quickly took our order and made sure our chip bowls were never empty. Food came out surprisingly quickly and was good. Atmosphere was good, food good, service excellent and the price WONDERFUL.

The food is good I can't say excellent, but the service is horrible. We ask for some drinks and they brought what ever they want, we taught we were drinking for what we asked but and of eating and drinking we ask for the check, then we find out that they the order wrong the waitress refuse to fix the check even the manager he told us we already consume the drinks and we have to pay for we told him that we didn't know that we were drinking the wrong size of the cocktail that was that they serve it wasn't our fault but still said that we had to pay I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN NEVER they whatever they want and they charge you for everything

We walked in before a Dodger game with a very large group. They go is seated quickly and feed just as quick. We had the queso and didn't like it. Without wanting they took it off the meal. They also gave us free guacamole for checking in with Yelp. I did tell them I prefer trio adviser though. I had carnitas and it was tender and shredded to perfection

6 of us took the Metrolink to Los Angeles did shopping at Olvera St. and than stopped for lunch at El Paso Inn and had Margaritas oh my so Good!

Restaurant is located in a historical building, and everything is so authentic experience that I realy enjoyed our lunch here. Food was really great, and there was more then pleanty. Service was really nice. Just prices seemed a little bit to high. But all toghether - worth comming back.

Went here for lunch with friends, I was delighted that this was not your “gringo” Mexican slop served at most Mexican places! Handmade guacamole at the table, hand made corn tortillas, rice, beans, chicken tacos - all delicious !!’ We would take the Metrolink back just to eat there! Server Karen (?) was great ! Excellent all the way around !!!

Several of us went from a Day Tripper Tour at 11 am on a Wed.when it was not busy. We had an hour to eat & return to the bus. Our water came, then the lemon, then menus & waiter. We ordered chili relleno burrito, carne asada & egg burrito, chicken mole burrito and sombrero salad. 3 items came out at 11:35 and the salad at 11:45. The portions were HUGE and food flavorful, but we felt rushed to eat and had to hunt for our waiter to get the check. Not sure if I'd return with so many other choices around.

Lovely place for lunch while you're visiting Olvera Street (which I think is a must if you're in L.A.). I had the stuffed pepper which was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best Mexican meals I've ever had. My boyfriend had the burrito which was just OK. However, it's reasonably priced, there's a good atmosphere, and service is attentive.

Our party all decided we needed to try the Chile Verde the next time as it looked awesome. This was a great location to visit as there is soo much history on Olvera Street and it is an excellent location to visit prior to a Dodger game. The waitresses were excellent and Karen did a fantastic job of helping us with our decisions. I would recommend you visit and on this date it was very busy, but they made sure to get our party of 9 seated quickly.

Excellent chips and salsa. Delicious mole. Fabulous salmon with a tropical salsa. Everyone in our party of 6 was pleased with the selections and enjoyed dining al fresco on the patio.

On a first visit to the 1800's Olvera Street, we enjoyed an authentic, flavorful generous portion of Chicken Pole Poblano ($17.95). The Chicken Caesar Salad ($17.95) was big enough for two. We were reassured by COVID safety masking and distancing for our first dine-in experience.

Food, drinks and food. Plus a sic piece mariachi band. I was here 20 years ago and it's still as good as ever.

I always go to El Paseo when ever I visit Olvera Street. Such lovely service and kind staff who always have smiles on their faces and the food is great (their salsa is delicious) vegetarian friendly too which is a bonus! Also nothing to do with the service/food but they have free wifi which is great if you are a tourist!

Some of THE very best Mexican food ever! And Jose was a fabulous waiter/server too. What a find....we'll be back for sure!

The restaurant as a whole is one of the best. The food is great both in taste and temperature. The menudo, beans, and drinks are some of the best. Had such a great family experience there are so many helpful servers and helpers. The mariachi music sets for an overall great family experience.

My husband, 2 1/2 yr. old son and I took my in-laws here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We were seated right away and the waitress came to take our drink orders pretty quickly, but the service went downhill from there. We ordered drinks and a simple kids Quesadilla for my son and asked to have a couple more minutes to decide on our food. The waitress took about 10 minutes to come back to take our order and we still hadn't received my son's Quesadilla. It was over 30 minutes we waited for our food. In the meantime, the table next to us, that came in well after we did, received their food. When I questioned the waitress on where our food was, after the table next to us received theirs, she said there was a large party inside and the kitchen was backed up. How then did the table next to us get their food first? Eventually the manager came by and asked how everything was. We explained it took a long time to get our food and that we were unhappy and he told us about the large party inside. We said that nobody had warned us about the large party; we would have gone elsewhere, not to mention the table next to us received their food and we had ordered first. All he could do was apologize again, he had no further explanation. I was upset to see there was no compensation for our issue on the bill, which was just about $100. The least he could have done was taken off a meal or a couple drinks for our trouble. I would not return here again as they obviously can't handle business.

Terrible Experience – We Were Overcharged and the Food Was Awful We were a group of students looking forward to a nice Mexican meal, but instead we left feeling completely cheated. The restaurant overcharged us by €25, and when we pointed it out, they dismissed it and didn’t even try to explain or fix the mistake. That’s unacceptable and feels like a scam. To make things worse, the food was truly awful. It tasted cheap, poorly made, and nothing like real Mexican cuisine. Some of us couldn’t even finish our meals. We’re students — we don’t have money to waste — and being treated like this was really frustrating. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

We were passing by and stopped for lunch. The friendly and helpful staff the really quaint very nice place. The typical Mexican cuisine very good. Low prices recommended

We had lunch at El Paseo on a Tuesday, and we were impressed with the service. Management was in the trenches with the servers and they went out of their way to make sure everything was running smoothly and that the customers were happy. The food was very good, especially for a touristy area, and the prices were reasonable. It was a very enjoyable lunch.

The guacamole and salsa were amazing! We also had Mexican wedding cookies, which we all loved. Our waitress was lovely, and the whole atmosphere was really enjoyable. The food was killer. Great experience

When going to the Olvera I usually stick to my favorite taquito place. This time however I enjoyed lunch with friends at this restaurant, located right in the middle of street. We were seated promptly in the patio. It is cool and breezy and a great place for people watching. I had a a Scratch margarita, it was delicious! Service is excellent and the food is very good. All the favorites, from caldo (soup) to tacos. Great place for table service. Try the Nopales tostada, it has grilled nopales (cactus), avocado and marinated red onions, served on a crispy tortilla, excellent!

This venerable place is always my favorite on Olvera Street. It is just across the street from Los Angeles' Union Station. It was packed at lunchtime, but they seated our party of two right away outside. The simple enchilada plate is the best - light and tasty. The place is noisy, especially inside, and the tables are packed closely together. Even the waitstaff appear to be of authentic Mexican heritage.

While waiting for an Amtrak train at LAX Union Station we decided to walk over to Olvera Street to pass the time. While there we decided on a late lunch and selected El Paseo Inn. We did not regret the decision. The waitress was very good, friendly and attentive. The food itself was good and we enjoyed our meals here. We would definitely return if ever in the area again.

It may be a tourist spot It is still great food and good service. Would recommend highly for this area.

Restaurant located in the old Mexican neighborhood of LA. Nice and quaint place, fast service. Food with good typical Mexican dishes.

I am, I admit, a long time customer and fan of "La Golondrina" ... which is located directly across the narrow and stall-filled "strolling Mercado" which is Olvera Street from "El Paseo." However, it is perfectly obvious ... and the food at "El Paseo" bears this out .... that it and "La Golondrina" are close to being "Gemini Twins." The two of them stand out from the surroundings and the adjacent small food stalls with historic assertion, and with excellent Mexican food ... rising at moments to Mexican Cuisine. "El Paseo" has very graceful outdoor seating, on a covered patio, and it allows for a very relaxed bout of people watching, while enjoying the good drinks from "El Paseo's" historic bar, and some excellent "Antojitos" ... i.e., Mexican appetizers. Highly recommended, and a very close "Sister" in excellence to its neighbor across the way !! Bulldog 1

I love the historic origin of Los Angeles on Olvera Street and if you are there, you should eat at El Paseo Inn. This is the colonial beginning of Spanish LA, so the best thing to enjoy here is Mexican food. I had eaten at El Paseo Inn the last time I visited LA so I wanted to take my friends. Despite not taking reservations, we were able to get a table for 12 at 12:30; however, it was inside. The last time, when just my wife and I, we loved the outdoor table under the overhang. Still after a long day on the road from Palm Springs and before our excursion on Olvera Street, this was a great place to eat. We all enjoyed the margaritas, including one couple with a large size. I just had the tacos and enjoyed. However, one of the best things to get is the guacamole that they come and make fresh at your table. We had some in our group who did not normally like guacamole but loved the fresh appetizer here. Again, I love this place that I have eaten here twice when I have visited LA and both times it was great. If you are visiting Olvera, be sure to plan to eat here and you will be rewarded.

Ate here twice for lunch on a recent business trip to Los Angeles. Served by Karen both days. What a sweet lady! All the staff here is friendly and attentive. Outside seating in the shade was perfect on a warm sunny day. Ingredients fresh and portions very large. Drinks refilled without asking. The highlight may be the house-made pecan sandie type cookies delivered before the bill comes. Free of charge and delicious! Which I had that recipe.

Visiting Historic Olivera Street and needed a good place to take a lunch break There is no shortage of options (endless food stands) but if you want a place to sit and get good service, this is the right choice. We arrived at noon with no wait but a huge lunch rush started at 1pm as we were finishing our lunch. Looked like there was a slight line with wait at 1pm Food was delicious. Chips and salsa were a great start. Lots of standard dishes to choose from on the menu. Huge portions Wonderful service. Very pleased.

Really enjoyed restaurant. Came here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Food was great and the service was excellent.

My husband and I are on a mission to visit iconic tourist areas in Southern California so a trip to Olvera Street was in order. Since it was lunchtime, we chose El Paseo Inn. It was a very sweltering hot day and the cool interior was most welcome. There is covered outdoor seating. I chose carne asada tacos and my husband had a bowl of albondigos soup and a steak burrito. The food was very good. The service was excellent. Our waiter was extremely attentive and pleasant. I think he made a good experience all the better. We would definitely return.

Visit Olivera Street for its historic ambiance and eat at El Paseo Inn for authentic food. Handmade tamales, tacos, enchiladas and be brave and try the Menudo Soup! Table side guacamole and fresh salsa served with warm, crisp taco chips. Full service bar and even musicians add to the atmosphere. Service was efficient and extremely hospitable. It is a place that “locals” enjoy as well as tourists. Great place to relax after a morning/early afternoon of sightseeing. Be sure to check out paintings on the walls and the many awards that generations of this restaurant have earned for hospitality and charitable honors!

Situated in the middle of kitschy Olvera Street, La Paseo is one of a number of Mexican restaurants lining the crowded walkways. We had already been put off by several longer lines, but once we saw the food and service at La Paseo, we queued for about 10 minutes before getting a table to feed our (by now) famished selves. We stuffed ourselves on chips and a great table-side made guacamole, drinks, and enchiladas, tacos, and quesadillas. It was an amazing lunch, and a welcome respite from the hot sun. They sometimes offer specials (like free table side guac!) if you checkin on Yelp! and show the server.

Location: Olvera St. Parking: paid local lot Atmosphere: fun, authentic, established Staff: average Menu: typical Drinks: margaritas good Meal: fajitas good but they ran out of guac! Prices: bit pricy Visit Again: yes Recommend To Friends: yes

This place is geared for patio dining. In that respect its great. It was a little cool that evening that we were there. We ask for an inside table. Big mistake. We were taken to a large inside area. This area looked like a special event room.It looked as if it was set up for buffet. This was not the courtyard room. If you like being alone to eat this is for you. Don't get me wrong I ask for this. Now for the up side. Food was good. Service was good. Price was OK. On a 1 to 10 I give this place a 7.5. Great atmosphere. Hey its Olvera street. .As a bonus it was Friday night. There was a DJ at the plaza. Many dancers and great music. . This review is ment as an FYI. No problem with food or service.

We happen to be in Los Angeles during Thanksgiving, completely deserted, and we find this little Mexican street full of life and people. We eat in one of the many restaurants two typical Mexican dishes well cooked. The place apparently looked dirty and strange smells were coming from the kitchen near our table. Quite high prices but maybe so in America. Attentive service.

I'm from Fresno and figured a meal in the historic Olvera Street would be The Bomb, but it wasn't. Service wasn't all that great either. The girls there kind of stood around talking instead of refilling drinks. Our waitress took awhile to get our order then when another server brought our food he 1st took it to another table by mistake. The waitress scolded him like a child. We had to ask for our check because our waitress was no where to be found. Then when she did bring us our bill it took her like 5 minutes for her to bring back my credit card and reciept. The food needed salt. It was just a OK experience. Next time we will try El Golindrina across from this place.

If you come to the Birthplace of Los Angeles City, on Olvera Street, you should try to eat some Authentic MEXICAN Food at the El Paseo Inn. They make FRESH Corn Tortillas all day long. Just know they close at 6pm.
Good food but pricy for lunch
Stopped in for lunch while on business. 16$ for a ginormous burrito and rice. I would have preferred something lighter but it seemed like there was no lunch menu at all. Food was good as was the service and nice views of the market if you sit outside.
