The best food đ and excellent service, my first time eating cuban food and I love it definitely come back

Good traditional Cubano. Reasonably priced in comparison to some other locations. Mojitos were the best weâve had in Miami. Friendly service.

The food and ambiance are all great, if you want a true cuban experience come here during the week after 5pm to experience good and live music while taking in the cuban nostalgia on the walls and the hustle and bustle of the sidewalk traffic. You won't be disappointed.

Came here with a group of 10 on vacation, staff were so friendly and accommodating and the food was great. Wonderful live music. Great neighborhood spot

DISAPPOINTING. Our servers name was Norma and she along with the rest of the foh staff were absolutely rude. I asked her what kind of dark beers they had and she was too bothered to help me so I ordered a water instead. She brought out everyoneâs drinks to our table except for mine and when I asked for my water she told me to wait, ended up getting it 10 minutes later. She did the same thing with our food. The food was just ok. I attempted to call Joe Rivera, who is supposedly the manager but no one ever answered. I am so disappointed that my family had to endure this horrible experience while they were traveling here from Europe. Y para los que hablan español no vayan aquĂ que el servicio de verdad da asco. Todos los meseros se ven bien enojados y ninguno estĂĄ ahĂ para atender a los clientes. La comida ni siquiera esta tan buena.

Met with a friend in little Havanna who goes to el pub on a regular basis. Shared some calamari and tachos and had fantastic Mojitos followed by some more Mexican food. There was live music when we went and the waitresses were very friendly. A very enjoyable evening.

We left the restaurant angry and disappointed. The menu is really misleading. One if us took the house salad and got lettuce and three slices of tomato.... And the worst part was the service. Ignorant and rude staff. Would never go back.

We found this place on the Miami Little Havana Walking Food Tour and returned the next afternoon for a late lunch. We had croqueta, chicken and beef empanada, mariquita's, and fritos negro's. All the food was excellent as was the service. We really enjoyed all the Cuban decor and music. Since it was later in the afternoon the tourist traffic really dies out around three thirty so parking our jeep was easy peasy.

We arrived with great enthusiasm to try the classic Cuban sandwichâŠâŠâŠ.and they gave us a ham and cheese sandwichâŠ..!!!! The one who seems to be the owner was one of the most unpleasant people we have encountered in Miami. This is said by someone who is dedicated to the hospitality industry. The only good thing, the wifi, the rest, literally pitiful!!!! WHAT A BAD MEMORY OF LITTLE HAVANA!!!

We seated ourselves, then waited at least 20 minutes for anyone to come over, then out âonly waterâ came out only right before our food, which was horrible. No one could understand English. They got my husbands food wrong 3 times, which was only a club sandwich with no Mayo, lettuce, or tomatoes. The people that was sitting behind us said the same things. Their food was horrible as well. Horrible food and horrible service!!

Regular to bad foods, high prices in drinks and worse is alcohol-free and flavorless. Very mediocre service from staff. There are better places to eat than to pay in this bad place.

This restaurant is very nice in Little Havana, the meal was very good, the service good, the dishes are quite generous

Before of this place, food is HORRIBLE! Group 5 of us ordered Grouper dinner. Place was almost empty. After waiting for half hour to place order, and half hour to be serve we recive cold food and steak from Cobia instead of Grouper filet. I expected to be appologized that's why I asked to talk with management. After waiting for 15 minutes a young man came from the night club cross the street and introduced himself as a manager. We expected refunds or something else to eat but manager offered 15% discount for all dishes that we could not eat. Fish steak we been served was look like a cobia instead of grouper filet. Was nasty, cold and dry like a hard cardboard!!! Situation was very en pleasant and I'm not afraid to call them scammers or cheaters!!!

We enjoyed beef and pork with black beans and rice. We also shared a Cuban sandwich. We also shared 2 apps. The deserts we delicious. Check out the pics!

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Very few people in the establishment. Only a couple of tables taken. Waitresses were not friendly. Steak and eggs were bland. The steak had no seasoning. What Cuban restaurant doesn't know how to season steak? The eggs were equally boring. Cuban bread could have been bought at a 2nd rate store - nothing special. When we wanted to pay none of the waitresses could be bothered as they were talking to each other. When I was presented with the bill there was absolutely no engagement from the waitress. Poor service. Boring, bland food. No reason to return except maybe to welcome a new restaurant as it seems this one is a "has been." Move out and let someone who actually cares about serving good food and giving good customer service take your place.

I didnât eat here but my friends all did and I sat with them while they ate. They got a lot of different foods and it came out decently fast. Louis our server was very nice. They enjoyed the food! It looked and smelled good!

I was going to go to one of the more popular spots on Calle Ocho, but they were all packed, so I popped into El Pub. The Cubano was really good and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow, and you'll need some Spanish to order.

These mojitos tasted like they were actually made from fresh ingredients - instead of coming out of a bottle. Excellent!

Nice restaurant, food was ok and service good. It's nothing out of this world but we were starving and heat was horrible so we had lunch here and rest a little to recover your strength.

Visited LH for a few hours, came across this restaurant. Overall the food was great, live music and server was very nice! The family had a mix of chicken, shrimp and Shredded beef. We all tried each other's dish and all were great! Would recommend

Great mojito and Cuban sandwich. Good atmosphere and friendly service at a reasonable price. Sit outside and enjoy Little Havana.

Quite correct restaurant, the team is large and friendly, the dishes are Hispanic and correct! Very professional restaurant and at the service of the good tourists that we are, long live Cuba libre!

Nice lunch during our trip to Little Havana. Got an inside table, a welcome relief from the heat outside! Our server brought us over iced water. Food very good as were our mojitos! Reasonably priced too. Very busy when we visited approx 2 pm midweek.

This large cafe across from the Little Havana Visitors Center is a good place to try the varieties of Cuban style coffee. This style is strong, generally, served with lots of sugar. Signage explains the offerings and prices are inexpensive in comparison to an average US coffee house. I suppose the coffees are roasted in a cuban style. I found the product to be delicious.

Several members of dinner party were disappointed in the food. The atmosphere was lively. Service was lacking but they were busy.

The food was good Cuban food. A little over priced for what it was but, it is in a tourist hot spot. Iâd recommend it for couples.

We stopped in and didn't have time to eat in, so we ordered food to go. We got Cuban sandwiches, and they were mediocre. The restaurant itself is cool, and it was fun to watch the guy making the sandwiches.

The first time we went for lunch. The service was so bad we waited 15 minutes to order then walked out. The food looked interesting so we went for dinner weeks later. Little or no English, which is fine but little or no service or help to order (again) is not. When the food did arrive it was slop. Donât go there.

This restaurant has excellent service and food the manager Marina was a great person great experience I canât wait to come back for South Caroline what an amazing experience !!!! I loved this

Visited this gem in Little Havana and it was a culinary delight! The food was exceptional, bursting with authentic cuban flavors. The waiter's recommendations the different sauces elevated the experience. Great service, vibrant ambiance and all at an affordable price. A must-visit for a true taste of Cuba!

We visited this restaurant for dinner. There is indoor outdoor seating & we opted to sit outside as the weather was pleasant. There are lots of options on the Menu and we ordered Chicken Stuffed Plantain Cups, Whole Fried Snapper, Fried Calamari & Chicken Strips with sides. For dessert we had the Cheese cake & Tres leches. The servers except for one couldn't speak english well so its a little difficult to order but manageable. The food was amazing & we loved the Cuban vibe of the whole place. There are pubs to visit nearby if one needs to go for drinks & dance.

Charming, warm, cosy - good food, pleasant service, decent music. A very good place for a family dinner. You will feel at home and welcome and walk away happy, full and not feeling robbed

Best coffee and empanadas in town. Once you have this coffee; you will wonder about having coffee outside for the price we pay.

Could not have been happier with our experience! Our family was looking for breakfast while exploring Little Havana & happened upon El Pub. Nellyâs service was amazing! The food was amazing! The coffee was amazing! The mojito was amazing! Large portions and reasonably priced!

No Little Havana for me. I was ignored at the take-out window, dismissed with a finger gesture, and had my change tossed onto the counter. When I explained this to the manager while requesting a refund, she showed no concern whatsoever. Very unprofessional service.

Just off the cruise ship Allure of the Seas, hubby and I had a few hours to kill before flying home to So Cal. We ordered their combo empanadas of chicken and beef and the beef was absolutely tremendous. Highly recommended. Mojitos were perfecto. I was going to order the standard Cubano but the waiter said the Especial El Pub was better. The sandwich had Serrano ham and Spanish sausage in addition to the ham and pork. It was also on toasted French bread instead of Cuban bread. This was a big mistake. The bread was just too dry. I could not taste the Serrano ham in the sandwich. The pickles were totally lost as well as the mustard. It was just so-so. The best Cubano I have ever had was at Versailles in Los Angeles. A word to the wise: do not mess with a Cubano. It is perfection. It doesnât need any new twist and the only way it should be eaten is on Cuban bread. Make sure and order a side of fries, which are very good. The sandwich comes with a sprinkle of potato straws. A big positive was the upgraded condiments. They use Sir Kensington ketchup and I assume mayo and mustard as well. If youâve never tried the mayo, do so. It puts Best Foods to shame, in my opinion.

Terrible attention, waiting and waiting, never attended, waiter lousy attitude, with work brought us drinks, we decided better to leave, in life return

Excellent food! The milanesa was very tasty and the vaca frita was delicious. Nelsy was fantastic- great service! Recommended!

We stopped here on a day trip through Little Havana. Seemed like a very popular spot with many people coming in and out and live music. Service was pretty good although we were never asked about beverage refills. We ordered the chicken empanadas that were very tasty. The roast pork special was fantastic. Loved the sautĂ©ed onions and seasoning. The moro and plantains were also tasty but the pork was the main attraction. We also got the steak along with white rice and both were the âbest ever hadâ according to one person in our party. We wished we could take it all home and eat the leftovers. A little heavy for a lunch meal or at least more food than were used to

My husband and I ate here on a visit to Little Havana. I had the Cuban Sandwich and he had a hamburger/fritas. My sandwich was OK, not much mustard or pickles-which in my opinion is what makes a Cuban sandwich yummy. He loved his sandwich which was made with a mix of ground pork and beef. The service could have been better. We were sitting at a table in the bar area and ordered beer with our meal. Literally, all the waitress had to do was to walk 5 feet to get the beer. After about 10 minutes we see her helping another server clean up a table. Then I guess she remembered us and came back to the bar to get our drinks. If we are ever in Little Havana again, we will likely eat somewhere else.

We had the Miami Sandwich and the Cubano Regular. Such a great choice!! It was delicious! We sat outside and it was super noisy with music and laughter. So if you are looking for a quiet space then this will not be your thing but we loved it!

We accidentally ended up in this place to escape the heat of calle ocho. Che dire, una grande scoperta! Typical is to say little, genuine portions and honest prices (finally!). Great Cuban coffee, very friendly and helpful staff.

Service was slow. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, which I thought they all came with the potato sticks, like that was part of a Cuban sandwich, but I guess not. My husbandâs sandwich did come with the potato sticks per the menu but he didnât receive them. When we asked the waitress she said no. She didnât speak much English so we didnât push, so we never ended up getting any but paid for them. My son had a grilled cheese. I asked for American cheese, which was a listed option, but got Swiss. It was all ok but Iâd probably try somewhere else if I was to come back to Little Havana.

Absolute must! We had the media noche & especial- wonderful atmosphere, amazing food, & great staff! This is not a tourist spot & that makes it even better!

Please donât go to this truly bad example of Cuban food! Living in Miami, we eat Cuban with frequency so we decided to try a new place. The food was so bad that we could not even eat it. The fried yuca still had its core, the chicken empanizado tasted like old oil, the rice was sticky, the beans soupy (actually no beans in the cup), the sangria was tasteless and the beer warm. And, the cortadito had no sugar. The waitress was rude. There were no napkins or plates. Just bad!

El Pub, the building, has been a Miami landmark for at least 50 years and yes, it used to be authentic cuban food, with a great atmosphere where a cuban sandwich was made with swiss cheese and not with ultra processed yellow cheese from deported Australian kangaroos. You really can't go wrong with white rice and black beans, but watch it happen. It's luck of the draw. If you're in the mood for authentic cuban food and La Carreta is too far, just cross the street to El Cristo. El Pub is disgusting.

Sunday evening me and my boyfriend stop by to eat and try this place. Btw we are locals and we visited calle ocho so many times but this was one of the worst. We ordered two mojitos they were ok, then we ordered some app and main course the food came at the same time, the shrimp cocktail they served with ice and water and the souce was on the side big dislike, the tamal was ok. For main course we had churrasco and puerco asado, the food was super cold the only good was the maduros and the steak the rest was cooked like they took from the fridge. Terrible not coming again for sure. Forget to mention the service was also terrible. Very disappointed because the cuban cuisine is one of the best in the word and they are making like is one of the worst. Not to menciĂłn mi novio esta cubano y el no le gusto tampoco.

Stopped here on our little Havana culinary tour. The Cuban coffee was incredible! The empanada was delicious! Fun little place to stop in on your visit

I had the skirt steak and it was very good. It came with two sides. I had the fried plantains and the black beans. Two in our party had different types of fish and really liked them. The service was good and our food arrived in a timely fashion. One in our party changed her mind about the side and they brought her what she wanted. We had a table by the window which was nice. More people arrived after we already had been served. They got their food quickly as well. The waiter was very pleasant. I would definitely eat here again. My meal was $16 plus tax.

Service was very good. The starter with shrimps was very nice but the shrimp and rice main course was nothing special. My boyfriend got 2 dishes with bread which was a bit hard. Mohito for. $9 each very good. Side of plantains absolutely amazing.

It took forever until we finally got noticed by server, who saw exactly 3 times in 90 minutes. Service was terrible. The food was alright but not more than that. Very busy and loud, as usual in Little Havana restaurants, but the staff appeared to be overwhelmed. Food: 3.5/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 3/5

Went here based on the previous reviews and we were disappointed. We sat at the bar The staff does not seem very happy, they were throwing dishes behind the counter. Ordered a steak sandwich and was just ok nothing special. Also ordered empanadas and they were cold and not that tasty. We had better. This is a tourist trap and there are better options

While visiting Miami each of the last two years we chose to eat here and weren't disappointed. Several entrees including whole fish, Cuban sandwich, salad, were good. Appetizer croquettes were ok, carne empanadas were yummy. Guava and cheese empanadas for dessert were fabulous. The service, well.... we had to appreciate the disinterest of our servers. Back in 6 months will eat here again.

Restaurant has good ambiance as itâs centrally located in the heart of Little Havana , good live music , however their food and drinks suck! Ordered two churrascos for wife and I son , it was not only dry and stale but tasted horribly, left it all, only ate the rice and beans which was decent even though it tasted like microwave heated . My other son has the Pollo Empanizado , tasted like a rubber chicken, they just have had it seated there hours before our arrival, I had the ox tail which was somewhat eatable , but they brought it cold.the drinks didnât have any alcohol, they brought us a âSpicy Margaritaâ, with Clamato sauce , disgusting , we returned it and ordered a regular since they didnât know how to make a spicy one, regular was just as bad , we asked waiter for credit since he refused si asked for manager who was hesitant at first , until I made him taste it , then he agreed that it was not a Margarita and gave took off the bill. Just overall bad experience , itâs a shame since El Pub used to be a great restaurant back in the 80âs , I remember as a kid used to go there sand never had an issue , either someone else bought it awhile back, or they just donât give a crap and just trying to fool tourists with âauthentic Cuban cuisineâ, only thing is their food and drinks suck.

The food was typical the service was at a minimum. Not a Cuban vibe! FYI they do not split bills at all! Lol

âDime mamiâ is what she said when I went back for a second order of empanadas. I loved it. Thereâs no lack of authenticity here. This place is the real deal. The Cuban coffee was sooooo good! My husband I decided on the cafe con leche and we tried the beef and chicken empanadas. Both were good but we really thought the beef outdid all of them. Some friends had the cheese empanadas and they were also heavenly. Breakfast was inexpensive and we loved how authentic it was. If we ever make it back to little Havana, this will be my first stop.

In Little Havana, great Cuban restaurant, everything is good, nice atmosphere. As usual in the US fast and efficient service,

We stopped by on a Monday. $6 Mojitos (only the classic type were $6) normally $12, were all a Mojito should be and were refreshing in the afternoon heat. The Cuban sandwich (pictured) was great and so was the Philly sandwich

I urge anyone in Little Havana to skip right over this hole. Worst service I have ever experienced (sat for 30 mins before leaving and was never greeted by the server). We never got our food obviously but everyone around us seemed disappointed with there meals. DO NOT GO HERE, wish I could do zero stars

Loved the food, loved the atmosphere and eating in Little Havana was liked being transported to another country and time. We sampled a bit of everything and enjoyed it all. The empanada's were stand out for me. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience in every way! The quality of the food is second to none, the attentiveness careful and very personal and especially from Katy our waitress, she is Fabulous, very affable and professional. 100 points for this great employee. The Cubanias Trio is Fantastic!!! We were fascinated.

Nelsy was amazing such a amorrrr loved her service and she made sure we had everything we needed and she was super friendly and kind.

Great food. Great value for money. Perhaps the only store in Little Havana that is fair and authentic. And not tourist verar....

Great atmophere and location. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. All three of our antrees under $15 and filled you up! Staff was great as well!

Stopped by here twice during my visit in Miami and enjoyed their sandwhiches. Tasty bites with great flavors. The leche malteada was also great and refreshing. The service was friendly and nice towards children and the price level also okay. Would definitely visit again.

Large menu and large portions. Friendly staff and not very busy so we got a table right away on a recent early lunch visit. In the heart of Little Havana where people watching is at its best. Good Cuban sandwiches artfully plated.

Cosy restaurant in the heart of little Havana. Service was great and the servers friendly. Seating at the bar top and a dining room for larger parties. The Cuban coffee was outstanding.

We knew this was going to be a bit of a tourist trap but we still expected more. The service was terrible, so unfriendly. The food wasnât great either. The empanadas were delicious but the Cuban sandwich was terrible. I wouldnât recommend it.

Delicious food, GREAT live music, and wonderful service. We lost a phone here full of family photos: Joe and Kathy were wonderfully helpful in getting it back.

Not the best place to eat cuban food, very mediocre, even the deserts that usually are delicious were very bad. Service is very disorganized and the place have 3 diferentes very loud musicâs playing at the same time. the maneger is very rude and if you go in a big group itâs imposible to pay with more that 3 cards because they donât allowed.

The restaurant was busy at lunch time because December is a tourism high season in Miami. Yet there were only two waitresses on the entire first floor. The waitress could speak poor English but her listening comprehension was even worse which made the ordering kind of difficult. She demanded we order drinks and main dishes together because they were busy. We did. She left. We waited for half a hour without drinks and food. We wanted to remind the waitress but she was no where to be seen. Finally the main dishes came (still no drinks). The roasted chicken was like from a food cart. The vegetables were mushy and tasteless. The rice was half cooked. It was quite a disappointment after all the hassle finding parking in Little Havana! Our drinks had never came. We had to wait for another half a hour before the waitress showed up again. During this whole time there was no one we could talk to about the drinks. She brought the bill which showed we were charged for the drinks. We tried to explain to her that she forgot to give us the drinks. She either didn't understand English or pretended not to. Anyway she refused to take the charge off the bill and claimed if we don't pay the entire bill, then she would have to, which we didn't understand. Why would she get charged for something never happened?? Anyhow, we paid the bill and left her a small tip (We usually tip 20% but in this case we certainly didn't feel it's fair). Guess what? The bill came and the waitress/restaurant added 15% tip on her/their own, which made it well over 25%!!! What a scam!!! The decor of the restaurant was very traditional and we love the Cuban music they played. But I would never go back again and wouldn't recommend anyone for the terrible service and food we received!!!!

I donât understand why it only has 3.5 stars out of 5. We really liked our food. My husband ordered the Ropa Vieja and it was delicious. I ordered the Tuesday special-Pot Roast, it was also good. I really really liked the Mango Mojito. The staff was excellent, very attentive. My husband and I will definitely be back.

While visiting Little Havana we stopped in this very characteristic bar at the suggestion of a Cuban friend who lives in Miami. He advised us to absolutely go there to enjoy Cuban coffee or coladas. While we were there we tasted a delicious sandwich: the Cuban sandwich to share with two beers to conclude with the infamous excellent coffee which really has no reason to envy our espresso even if it is served already sweetened and for me who usually drink the Bitter coffee was a little cloying. A truly negative and annoying note was the arrogance of the waitress who, even before we paid but after having brought us the bill on her own initiative (but I have found this habit in every restaurant in Miami) arrogantly pointed out to us that it was not on the receipt. including the tip but that we had to leave it and he also told us the precise amount. I understand this tipping thing in the USA and even though I find it annoying, I accept it and put up with it, but I don't accept the rudeness of this waitress and in hindsight I should have responded in kind and told her that the tip is okay deserved and that she didn't deserve it at all.

I bought a Special Cuban Sandwich and a coke. It cost 14 dollars for everything, I thought it was very cheap for the snack. As soon as we sit at the table, they hand us a glass of water, I thought that was cool. This water is free.

We had a few drinks and juices in this pub. Service was terrible and they wanted to charge us with 20% tip. The drinks were fine. Definitely bad experience for us.

Eat there last month, August . There were 5 of us having dinner. Service was top notch. Good came out hot and as we ordered. The band was great and entertaining . Coffee and dessert ended the night on pleasantly.

Food in this restaurant was delicious. Recommend trying the Cuban stew- youâll be surprised. The empanadas are delicious and of course donât the Cuban coffee. Highly recommend.

The two roosters at the entrance look like they belong to the central committee, the delay and the signing of distributing the Jama as PĂĄnfilo would say is terrible, first one dish arrives by raft and the next waits for the visa. Those who work the same tea tell you to look for the table, if you ask for a drink they will throw a letter on the table. Anyway, Koniec Juan Carlos Recio MartĂnez

We visited on a self guided food tour. I tried the Cafécito (Cuban Coffee: espresso with a shot of sweetner). Great strong coffee for a very low price. Worth the try!

First time in little Havana, place looked good so we went in. So glad we did, place was great, food reasonable and delicious.the music was excellent, fun small group with a great singer, got the crown engaged, really good vibes here, would def go back

My husband and I stopped at El Pub in little Havanna for a quick evening bite. Location is right across from the visitors center, so perfect if you're newly arriving to the area and looking for some info. We sat on the patio in the beautiful sunshine and sipped rum punch and shared a wonderful Cuban sandwich & fries. Perfect, right down to the toasted bread. Our waiter was fabulous & the establishment also offers it's own parking lot, free of charge for patrons.

The new cook sucks or something $75 for 2 steak sanwish and 2 drinks so they should read and improve .... all the salt was on our sandwiches ..... how can you screw a pan con biste en calle 8 ????

Terrible service, awful food, only the beer was good. Arrive around 13:00, seated quickly... waitress takes 10 or so minutes to come. Water and menus. Itâs a while again and order Cuban beers... 10 minutes and finally beers come in cool buckets with ice and glass. Itâs a while before waitress comes back for orders... food is then even longer... Orders the specialty house sandwich and chorizo burger... and the plantain chips. Ravenous before it comes and almost enough time to finish the beer. Part of order missing. Sandwich and burger are awful. Tasteless. Finish half. We have to order 2nd beer from another waitress as ours never comes back. Rest of order comes... itâs wrong. Waitress comes over to see how we are so point out food was awful and wrong food came. Asked if we wanted more to go!?! Bill came with no apology or offer to take off missing or wrong items. DONâT GO!

My family and I went there for dinner. Our waiter was very rude when he noticed we didn't speak any Spanish (also keep in mind I was the only one at the table who speaks English) so he instantly gave up in trying to talk to us. At this point we were the only ones inside the restaurant, everyone else was outside. We saw him make his way from the kitchen to his colleagues multiple times and rightfullt assumed they were talking about us because they all kept turning their heads to stare at us. After we started eating, he came back to take my mom's friend cutlery for no reason because her plate was empty for a few second (we had shareable dishes in the middle of the table so there was no reason for him to assume she was done eating). At this point we were really mad and having a bad night. We asked for the check and he did the transaction without talking to us once, only stared at us. It sucks because the food was good but the service ruined everything.

Authentic Cuban cuisine, quite rustic, amazing value for money. We had an absolute feast for dinner which lost less than a single steak in South Beach. Staff were friendly too. Could not fault it.

I had the best coffee and empanadas. I went back for dinner and had an amazing roasted pork sandwich. A must visit for affordable and delicious food.

Excellent choice in Little Havana. Doesnât get the fanfare as some of the other places on Calle Ocho but is always a solid choice for authentic Cuban. Had the grilled mahi & it was very good. Had a great waitress who even taught us some Spanish. Recommend

After rescuing a friend we stopped in to this cozy restaurant. Great fun. Good mojito, great friend red snapper. Will definitely come back

Not a posh fancy place but it's down to earth with authentic food. We shared a platter which was plenty for 2 as a lunch stop. 4 empandas, 6 croquttes and fried banana. Prices good to average for location. Staff very friendly. Food tasty and nicely presented. Plenty of choice

Very good food! Very large portions as you can tell from the pics. The chef had very good skills! I would figure they rival Napoleon Dynamites nunchuck skills if you asked me! I have been to Little Havana before but did not have the pleasure of having this place. I will not let that happen again! AND I was here on mojito Monday! MUST TRY!!! Pancakes are FIRE as well!!

Fron the starter empanadas to the entrees ropa vieja and lechon asado, the sides and the drinks, all tasted perfect and reminiscent of homemade food. Totally recommend for visitors to Miami Little Havana area, including those from Latin America (like me!).

Staff was helpful , food was yummy and filling good size portions , even the baby enjoyed his plantain chips , we went before he diner rush to have less noise

Stopped here on a Culinary Tours food tour. We had the empanadas and a Colada. The coffee was strong and sweet, just as it should be. Nice service.

Very good food. Very good toys. Legal environment. Beef and pork, with beans and fries. Very good.

Went here for beer, empanadas and fajitas Habaneras. Empanadas was really great, but the fajitas habaneras was disappointing. Didn't really taste much.

Walking through Little Havana, we made a stop to try Cuban coffee at El Pub, we had already read about the place on the Internet and it seemed appropriate to stop on the walk. The place is nice, very well decorated, we sat at the bar and the coffees and smoothies were good. The service provided by two middle-aged ladies was perhaps not as cordial as one expects. The correct rating would have been good but Trip Advisor jumps from average to very good.

In the centre on the main street and frequented by mostly locals the food and service were great at a reasonable price and without the tourist mariachi band playingâŠ.

Excellent food and very friendly service! Award correct and portions very well served , fast and orange juice pressed home! The Top

We liked the food, music and atmosphere. Visited July 2019. Next time weâre in Miami, will visit again for good food and nostalgia.

Brilliant!!! We came on a MONDAY - where they have Mojito Monday - what a fantastic Concept, it should be everywhere around the World!!! Bum!!! Thought it was a turist trap - but the food and service was no where near a turist trap! Will go there againâŠ.. on a Monday đ„ł

Literally sat at my table for what seemed like an eternity. Looked around and had to make eye contact and ask if I had to go inside to order. Literally felt invisible. Finally, a gentleman came over and asked what I would like a drink. Placed order for a margarita. (Delicious) eventually, after what seemed like another half hour, looked around again, asked the same guy if i had to go inside to order food, he said no, you can order outside... ordered a Cuban Sandwich ... it arrived pretty quickly! But was was mediocre, but again, the frozen margaritas were delicious!! Sitting here, empty glass, for a half hour again, still no one... I do see a waitress sipping what looks like a beer? should I continue to wait for another margarita, or just leave? Ugh... too bad... I continue to wait... hopefully, I get service sometime this evening đđ» ahh, waitress brings my bill, never said I was finished? Ordered another margarita... it's great!

El Pub is my first stop when I come to Miami. Located on the famous Calle Ocho (8th St) in the heart of little Havana. Great place to visit shop and eat. If youâre a foodie I recommend a food tour with Miami culinary food tours. They walk you through this historic area and you sample various food from different shops and you get a history lesson.

My Cuban friends back home drink coffee quite a bit differently than me, so I was excited to try it from a restaurant known for their authentic coffee. It did not disappoint at all! The coffee was exactly as strong and authentic as my friends back home make it. I am not a fan of lots of sugar in my drink, but at El Pub, it's worth it to have it properly prepared.

Really cuban food in little havana . Prices and staff very nice . Feel the cuban friendly people . Spend many lunch- breakfast here .

"I was expecting an authentic and delicious Cuban sandwich, but unfortunately, this one didn't live up to my expectations. The suckling pig, which is the star of this dish, was dry and tough, which ruined the dining experience. The texture of the suckling pig should be tender and juicy, but in this case, it was overcooked and lacked flavor. The other ingredients, such as ham, cheese, and vegetables, were good, but couldn't make up for the lack of quality of the suckling pig. I hope the chef or cook can revise their recipe and technique to improve the quality of the suckling pig and offer a Cuban sandwich that tastes authentic." Other options: - "The suckling pig was so dry it seemed like it had been cooked twice. A shame, because the rest of the sandwich was good." - "I would like to try it again, but they would need to improve the quality of the suckling pig. A Cuban sandwich without a good suckling pig is like a car without gas." - "I was expecting a strong flavor and a soft texture, but the suckling pig was dry and tough. It was a disappointment, but I hope they can improve in the future."

WE discovered el pub walking along calle ocho. The frame was great. The food was quite good. We had a good surprise because there was a musician playing the violon.

We heard live Cuban salsa music from this restaurant in the late afternoon and decided to give it a go. It's right in the center of Little Havana. We sat outside initially but was getting bitten by mosquitoes so we went inside. The waiter was very accommodating. The food was good but not great. Expected more flavor but was pretty bland. The spinach/cheese and beef empanadas were really good. The mojito lacked liquor but the virgin pina colada was amazing, taste so fresh with flavor.

So I was excited about this place after reading some reviews and seeing the show featured on ashow on Travel Channel. Although the vibe was awesome and service was good I found the empanadas just ok. The real disappointment was the Cuban sandwich. It was very dry, bread toasted to the point of no moisture. The sandwich lacked taste. There was barely any mustard or pickles on the sandwich. In fact I counted only two small pickles - one on each half of the sandwich. They could greatly improve the sandwich quality by having a better quality of bread and not drying it out and adding more mustard/pickles which would add more flavor. It was one if the driest, dull sandwiches we ate in a long time . This place has so much potential but they need to step up the quality a bit. Sorry El Pub - not what I was expecting!

This restaurant has delicious, authentic Cuban food. We have dined here many times and it is always our first and last stop when in Miami. They make best jamon croquetas I have ever had. The meat platter is a really great way to try a few different meats. For breakfast the vaca frita with eggs can't be beat. The people are very pleasant, efficient, and helpful. Probably the best value on Calle Ocho. You won't be disappointed.

Second time the same thing happens to me with the blonde glasses waitress Gives a lousy service throws things on the table, forces to buy what she says and since one does not accept the suggestion is upset and in the end she is only worried about receiving the tip demand to be given what she wants, I also work in restaurant and depend on the tip, but I think it is better to deliver a good service I find it a great disrespect I've been a client for 4 years and there's never a problem just the two times I've served her, The girl who was looking excellent as well as the food runer who were both very friendly and professional in the service I was there today at 8pm My name is sebastian

When in Little Havana, we thought it appropriate to try a real Cuban Sandwich. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. One of us ordered the classic Cuban Sandwich and the other, the âspecialâ Cuban sandwich. Both were unremarkable.. except for being dry. Remarkably dry. It was hard to even find a pickle in there. The bread was stale and the fritas looked and tasted as though someone in the back opened a pack of potato chips and smashed them up. Skip the âfriesâ The mojito was sugar water with a hint of mint⊠and $46 dollars later, we walked away not as hungry, but far from satisfied. We might have been better off with a lesser known place that puts a higher value on quality.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Itâs a great family friendly restaurant with helpful and attentive staff. We got 2 empanadas which were delicious as well as a few other dishes to share. The atmosphere was great - as was the service and I would love to return again!

Walking the Little Havana area and saw this place and decided to give it a try We enjoyed our lunch Fast friendly service

We arrived here by chance and were thrilled by the quality of the food, the welcome and the atmosphere. Typical Cuban restaurant with live music, very good. Highly recommended.

We came here with our tour guide to have coffee and empanadas. The coffee was fantastic, and the empanadas were delicious. We only had these two things, so my review is based on those two items. I highly recommend the coffee and empanadas.

After a morning visit to Little Havana, we stopped at this typical restaurant for lunch. The choice was good because we were able to taste very good Latin American dishes, in generous portions. Price within everyone's reach. The fruit juices they offer you when you arrive are expensive ($8 each).

Our breakfast arrived quickly and everything was tasty. Their prices are really cheap keeping in mind you are in Miami. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere felt very Cuban! Itâs also rich in history and you can tell that just by looking into its walls. Depending on when you visit you may find the service to be slow and not that attentive so keep that in mind.

We were on a short tour following a Caribbean cruise and stopped in Little Havana for a quick tourist stop and lunch. El Pub was convenient, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and fast.

I am not a big fun of little Havana usually but i was there because of the cinema there, So i was checking options to have a dinner and the best ranked one was EL pup >>> for me it's normal food I do not recommend to go especially. but if you was passing near by ... it is okay hint : i used to visit all the top ranked on trip advisor for both Miami and Miami beach

My family and I went on a Miami Hop on, hop off tour. One of the stops was Little Havana and the tour guide recommended this restaurant. Despite the low yelp score (3 stars), we took her word and still went. From the beginning we had a terrible experience. It took them 15 minutes to seat us, 15 minutes for the waiter to come over to us, 10 minutes for water, etc.. We were there for 2 hours for mediocre food and terrible service. The manager was very defensive and kept saying they were short staffed. I've worked in the restaurant industry, so I understand being short staffed but that could have been address at the beginning. It took over 30 minutes to pay from the time we finally got the check. I would never go back, unless I was in the area and really craving sweet plantains. Those made this trip "worth it".

Ok, eat here but try the Cuban dishes not any American food. Truthfully, why visit Little Havana only to try pizza or McDâs. So we tried the place today enticed by the $5 Mojitos and the feel of the place. Jean Carlos was our server and gave great suggestions on what to eat. So my wife had the Cuban sandwich it had the ham, Swiss cheese, a real tasty mustard, pickles on a great bread. I had the Cuban shredded beef (Ropa Vieja) with the sauce on the side. Iâm Finnish heritage so Iâm not into hot spice however this sauce if good. If you donât like it, (or fear getting overwhelmed) get it on the sauce however you will pour it in the meat as it add to the flavor as I did. This was a dish of shredded beef mixed with pepper and onions that had great flavor. Jean Carlos, who is from Cuba told us the history of the street, the restaurants history and even his travels to arrive in the US. Try the sett coffee on,y if you have trouble staying awake. It is strong and sweet! We both had Flan for dessert my had the bread version I had the traditional version.

Delicious empanadas and Cuban coffee. A perfect place to stop in and experience some Cuban food and culture. Staff was very accommodating and the empanadas were amazingly good! A must try

Amazing Restaurant with cultural atmosphere! Had a great lunch with top service. Our server Jamilet was the spice of the day!

Empanadas tasted of washing up liquid. Pork, rice and yam dish Delicious. Rice pudding would be better if they didnât use broken rice that tasted like large pieces of sand; use whole grains for a better tasting texture. Disgusting habit of putting plastic straws in every drink; even an espresso! Plastic spoon served with dessert? As it wasnât take away provide a metal spoon.

The empanadas are the best in Miami. the cuban coffee was a total treat and enjoyed it so much. Great old local spot.

This is an excellent place for some good variety of foods. The menu has some unusual choices such as oxtail and shank, besides great Cuban sandwiches. The service is friendly. Great variety of drinks also.

The service was excellent, the food was fresh and flavorful, very delicious! Our mojito was straight up the best. The vibe in general was good. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

I recommend this restaurant in littlehavana Miami Typical Cuban food where important films have been shot. Friendly service. Average price . Would highly recommend

I recommend the pork and rice with black beans. Excellent!!! Service was very good and I had a nice greeting from the owner. I think when you have the owner and their family on site the food and service tends to be much better.

El Pub was one of our stops along our Little Havana foodie tour. We had delicious empanadas and Cuban sandwiches that were mouth watering. The restaurant is filled with Cuban history with momentos and photos of famous people who have dined at El Pub.

We wanted to have some good Cuban food and: mission accomplished. The food was great, but we were very uncomfortable due to the extreme heat. The atmosphere and location are perfect since it is in the middle of Little Havana. If it is very hot, you might want to avoid.

We tried several small dishes on the menu, all of which surprisingly good, but what stood out were the empanadas - very juicy and tasty! Nothing like the dry empanadas you eat in many other (and more expensive) restaurants. Also, we loved the mojitos! A must go when you're in Little Havana

Another stop we made while eating our way through Little Havana. It was the thing to do we were told. This is one of the original restaurants in the area and the atmosphere is family. Just another comfortable place to sit and enjoy the day and eat good food.

Was one of the busier places for lunch on a Wednesday morning in Little Havana so looked like a safe bet. Started off with some cod croquetas which were very good, but seeing the portion size of the main, maybe not needed ! As a main went for the lechon asado which was nicely cooked and accompanied by some super fresh tostones. All washed down with a frozen margarita then a mojito ⊠might as well be in real Havana. The Cuban coffee in the end was the perfect finish.

Good food great atmosphere and located on the famous Calle ocho. During the day this place is buzzing with tourists so might as well enjoy one of the last true Cuban restaurant in little Havana.

I have been coming to this Cuban restaurant in Little Havana twice. Very nice. The service is friendly and responsive. It's not healthy haute cuisine but the food is good and tasty, typical and far from the business format of the restaurant chains that fill the street. We come there almost as if for an attraction, an immersion in the daily life of those who live in Little Havana, with of course a share of tourists too. The value for money is excellent and the place is authentic. People from the neighborhood come to this table and itâs a sign of authenticity. You will find a significant number of dishes there which allow you to come back and have this feeling of discovery each time. The portions are large, so your greediest teens will be delighted! Lots of variety in accompaniments to choose from depending on your appetite. If you are looking for an immersive address in Little Havana, you will find a nice place here, especially if you choose to have your meal outside, a change of scenery guaranteed.

Excellent Cuban sandwich and Empanada lunch on the busy patio. Friendly, attentive staff. Fun people watching here on patio.

This is a informal place to eat in Calle 8, Miami. It has a very friendly atmosphere and live music including a combo tropical. The sangria was very flavourful

The terrace is nice, music not too loud a nice decor. The portions are generous and the rates quite reasonable. See the checkout ticket I attached

Visited twice and food is greatđ start with empanadas and ham croquetas. Then the Especial El Pub Sandwich End with Cuban Coffee. Prices are very reasonable.

Just arrived home from this restaurant. We stoped here just for 2 cocktails. They were ok, but the service from the waiter was the one that made me write this review. At the end, I asked for the bill. It was $14.98. And the waiter almost forced me to pay $4 for tip. He repeated 4 times that the tip is 4 dollars, he wrote with his pen on the bill $4..It's not a fortune.. But the way he did it was the thing that angered me. I don't know how the food is, we didn't ate. Avoid.. There are many others a lot better.

Stopped here as part of a food tour. We had their empanadas which were very good but not quite up to Argentine standards. Prices appeared quite reasonably.

A large selection of delicious Cuban and Latin classics. We had arroz con pollo, empanadas, tostones rellenos, plantains, white rice with black beans, and everything was superb. Very good prices as well, especially for the amount of food they serve.

We had delicious jamon, cod, romeo and juliet croquetas! Six croquetas, chori-pan and a passion fruit juice for $35 with taxes.

Stopped in for a snack and a cafe con leche. What a treat. We enjoyed the pollo empanada, but the cafe con leche was the star of the show. Also enjoyed dining outside and watching the goings on in Little Havana. Such a lovely area!

My tour bus took us to this Little Havana area 0n 10/27/19 between 4-4:30p. Me and a friend stood at the bar and could not get any assistance to order. A guy and girl made contact with us. I asked for assistance 3x. The girl just looked at me and we walked out. Please take your business some where that will appreciate it. We are tourist El Pub that are keeping your business going. The tour buses are bring bus loads of people to your area. Hint hint. Show us some respect!

Stopped here for a quick bite. It was not busy as it was just on 12. Order taken quickly and club sandwich arrived soon after. It was delicious. Coffee was also good. For us it was an ok pit stop

All I can comment on is the cuban sandwich and the service. It was a busy Friday night but the service was excellent and the Cubano was as well! Is it authentic? I have no clue but was the best Iâve ever had âŠ

Hopped off the bus in Little Havana unsure where to go. El Pub was to our right. No wait. Terrific waitstaff. A fellow dinner approached us after supposing we weren't local. He suggested masitas de puerco -- fried pork chunks. THE BEST PORK ever! Sides we're good too (black beans plantains, rice). One in our group went with chicken friccase. IT was definitely will be a spot we return to next time on Calle Ocho.

Terrible experience I went with my dad and order a lechon Sandiwch and the pork as not good, the bread was like old. Never going again. Only 1 stair because they had live music

The food was so totally delicious but our server was a little rude đ€§ I would still go though!! Just DO NOT ASK FOR CHIPS. Apparently that was wildly offensiveđ€

Horrible experience. Horrible service. Horrible food. Very dirty. Long time waiting. No manager in duty. The health department of Dade County should close this restaurant

Fast service, typical and very generous dishes. Possibility of eating outside. Welcome and friendly atmosphere. I recommend.

I've seen the Little Havana food tours stop here for a coffee and empanada. So we chose it for lunch. They claim to be the oldest restaurant in Little Havana. I had the tostones rellenos with chicken, still in search of the best in town. The tostones were a bit oily and needed salt. I prefer it when they are shaped like cups to hold the filling. My friend had the fufu de platano, a Cuban mofongo. Served beautifully in a wooden trencher. She enjoyed. The place was pretty full and the service good. They did not rush us when we were finished.

A Little Havana local recommended that we eat breakfast at El Pub Restaurant located at 1548 SW 8th Street in Miami. (Phone number: (305) 642-9942.) Our waitress was friendly, asked whether we spoke Spanish or English, & was happy & surprised when we said both. We ate a typical American breakfast, but with a delicious side of cuban-style bread with butter & cuban-style coffee. It was easy to see their love of Cuba in the artwork, decor & music displayed in this third-generation family-owned restaurant.

Good sitting but itâs just not of my preference but the food was good and go during the night and was happy the atmosphere.

Standing for 15 minutes at a sign that said âPlease wait to be seatedâ, no one even acknowledged us. After trying to get the attention of the staff, they yelled at us that we have to find our own table. The tables were all dirty, the chairs were dirty, the floors were dirty. But we figured the food was rated so highly, it was worth taking a chance. They never told us that we were going to also have to find our own menus and our own servers! We literally had to get a table, chairs, menus, utensils, napkins all on our own. And after that we had to wave to servers for twenty minutes before one would come to our table. Then it was another 45 minute wait for our food to come and the order was all wrong and they were sold out of empanadas. And the food was no better than a cheap diner. Very disappointed that we tolerated this kind of customer abuse. Never again!

In the heart of Calle Ocho. This is one of the restaurants the tour guides do in Little Havana. Old style Cuban restaurant that can hold large crowds. Lots of different dishes to choose from they even have daily specials. Food was ok nothing special.

Empanadas are out of this world! You need some sort of sauce to go with, but it's good enough on it's own. Cuban coffee is great here today. The decor is very cuban- must go here.

Great bar with great vibes. Live music in the evening. The staff are so friendly. We had a brilliant time here and would recommend it!

We stopped here as part of the Miami culinary food tour and the Empanada and coffee we're a great experience to paragraphs the coffee was a bit too strong and sweet for my taste however the Empanada was spectacular and Flaky and the beef was flavorful

You've seen it on "Ballers" and in the movie "War Dogs," no you can eat here too. Let me warn you though the service is very slow. The staff spends a lot of time talking to each other even when they see you. We were standing next to the sign that read "Please wait to be seated" and the waitresses just talked to each other and looked at us as if we were in the wrong. The food is just okay with all the traditional Cuban staples but it's nothing extraordinary. I'm sure there are better "real" Cuban places in little Havana.

Live Music/ Spinach & Beef Empanadas with a splash of hot-sauce/Sangrias/Domino Park/Cigars & Art were delicious & beautiful. I will be back.. I had the opportunity to visit on my last day there.. the food is good and affordable...

This restaurant is really mega ! Starting with the absolutely nice service Then Monday Mojito Monday very delicious Mojitos But the ABSOLUTE highlight is the chicken with onion never before have we got a better prepared chicken Mega Mega delicious Starter Carne Empanadas the Hammer This is where we'll come from more often Michas grazias
Counter Service
Stopped for a quick bite and coffee at the counter. Had a delicious and authentic empanada de carne Followed by a cafecito. Great service and food. They even display a helpful sign for non-locals deciphering all of the different Cuban coffee types!
