We had great food, drinks and prompt service. My husband and I will definitely be back. The only thing that holds us back from visiting frequently told is the traffic to get to this location!!!

Great Guacamole

By Canesbiggdogg |

Returned yo our favorite restaurant in Miami. We had the guacamole that they prepare at your table...GREAT!! I had the burrito made of steak and it was excellent. My son and his GF had the chimichanga ons steak and one chicken. Both were excellent. My GF had the platanos rellenos and she said they were very good. Of course we will return

Almost fully Mexican

By Nanita65 |

We have visited the restaurant a few times. Food is good. Not bad for a Mexican restaurant in Florida. The staff tends to get all confused when you check in. Tables can be empty and still they take forever to sit you. They need to get somebody with more experience as a host in that podium. The reason I gave them a 4 is because that's really their only bump they have. Once you're seated, the service is great. Fast. Good. Their spicy margarita is a must and their queso fundido with chorizo is worth trying. If you go there when there's a game (specially soccer), the atmosphere is awesome.

5 de Mayo happy celebration!

By Alina G |

I was celebrating 5 de Mayo Mexico independence day. I had a femoral time. My friend and I enjoy the food , the drinks the waitress Eylen R was very professional, and provide us excellent customer service. I recommend this place.

Excellent drinks, food and service

By Ncl7 |

My favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is high quality and authentic. The margaritas are the best anywhere. They're fresh, no bottled aftertaste. The service is also very good. The owner pitches in and helps when things get too busy.

Food good as always

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went on Saturday night and the place was packed. We started with the large guacamole and it was excellent. She had the 4 taco combo and I had the carnita burrito and both were excellent. For dessert we had the sopapilla that came with vanilla ice cream which was very good

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants

By Xim88 |

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Their guacamole is awesome and they have the best Margaritas!!! The food never fails. My fave is the Chile’s verdes. As for deserts the tres leches is delicious. If you want good Mexican food and awesome drinks I definitely recommend this restaurant.

I am happy we chose Rancho Grande for a family dinner

By RCoe |

Went to El Rancho Grande for a family gatheriing (7 people). It was crowded, but the lady at the front moved some tables and fit us in (they don't take reservations). We started with the guacamole ($9.50). I typically don't like guacamole as it is very plain, but this version was one of the best I've ever had and, with the chips and salsa, one order was plenty for all 7 of us. We also had a mango margarita which was very fresh tasting. For the main meal, I ordered the chimichanga, which was huge and excellent. Others in the group had tacos and fajitas, all of which received positive comments. Most entrees were about $12.00. Lastly, we had one order of tres leches for dessert which was a nice way to cap off a good meal. Our only negatives were the wait we had for our entrees (almost 45 minutes) and when I went to use the men's room, it appeared quite a few folks had missed the toilet. In the end, the food was worth the wait and hopefully the management will read this and do more frequent checks of the restrooms. Our bill was $156.00, which included, drinks, one appetizer, 7 entrees, one dessert and appetizer. Our server was Sergio, who was attentive but not bothersome and apologized for our meals taking so long.. Would I go back to Rancho Grande: Sure would. One of the better Mexican places I've been to.

Excellent guacamole

By Canesbiggdogg |

We have been here several times and it never disappoints. We really like the guacamole as it is very fresh and creamy. We also had the Carne asada burrito and the shrimp quesadilla. We will definitely be back

Very high quality Mexican

By Angel P |

Ate here for lunch and heard about their legendary fresh guacamole. I had the lunch special I ordered a side of guac and boy was it amazing. Next my lunch came with a cup of homemade tortilla soup which was out of control. Finally came my burrito which was the perfect size. It had great flavor and I didn't leave having to undue my pants. It was just right. No complaints about the staff or service. I will most definitely return again. They also take AMEX!!!!

Really good

Great Food, great service, great experience ever time

By Angela D |

This is the best Mexican Restaurant in Miami, Very fresh food, great quality, excellent service, love the Mariachis and the lovely staff. I have become a regular on this place because every dish is delicious, and what to say about the Margaritas, they are unbelievable, they are excellent, not from a mix bottle. I can't stop recommending this place to my friends and family.

Food was all right

By Angel J |

Food was all right for its price. Definitely would come again if prices were more reasonable, nothing out of this world. Service was good, and I loved their Margarita.

Dinner with Family

By nibaldom2015 |

We have been here on various occasions. On this visit, the hostess seemed to be lost. That said, we were sat down quickly and our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The queso frito with chorizo was good as always. The entrees were also very good. Quick tip they have burritos that are delicious and very big good to share. The assortment of tacos were also delicious. Highly recommend dining here. Enjoy

Great food and service in Kendall!

By TravelBoomerang |

El Rancho Grande consistently serves up great food and service. The place seems to be busy whenever we go - a sign that El Rancho Grande is not a secret. The menu offers both authentic and Americanized Mexican options and a full bar - try a Michelada with Pacifico beer. El Rancho Grande serves traditional Mexican breakfast on the weekends and offers specials during the week.

Hidden gem for delicious Mexican food!

By Daniel P |

My fiance and her family and I are regulars at El Rancho Grande. The service is always excellent. We are always warmly greeted with a smile. The food is delicious. I usually have the Carne Asada Tacos. The chips and salsa are always flowing. Also, trying the different varieties of Margaritas they have is a must. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and even better drinks make this place an instant favorite!

Great food

By Maria Acevedo |

My son and I love having breakfast at this small restaurant. Since we go early, the service has been great. The breakfast burritos are huge and full of flavor. The authentic chocolate is a nice touch. Located in a shopping center where other breakfast places are at such as Ihop and a cuban bakery, this is one of my favorite place. They offer many traditional mexican breakfasts such as huevos rancheros.

Good and Traditional

By HectorFL |

Excellent traditional Mexican food. Great chips and salsa and margaritas. Their steak tacos are excellent. The mole sauce served with some dishes is very good and tasty. The owner works there and is visible when she is not in the kitchen. Great service always. We have been there many times.

My Favorite Mexican Restaurant

By Blica15 |

Rancho Grande is my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant in Miami-Dade County. We have been going here for years and are frequent customers. Is the experience always perfect… no, but no one is perfect all the time? We have eaten there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is only served on Saturdays and Sundays. The food at Rancho Grande is the most authentic food Mexican food I have had and they make mean margaritas. The décor is always festive and the location is always clean. On most occasions the service time is perfect. Their freshly made guacamole is amazingly tasty and a must try!

Massive burrito!

By Julian |

There's nothing better than having fresh guacamole prepared at your table before getting a really big burrito. The servers are really pleasant and the prices are very reasonable, it costs about $10-14 per entree and really feels like they use fresh ingredients. My favorite item is the bean burrito. It's a bit of a drive for me, but one I am willing to make a lot!

It's a good one

By Eliza G |

I like it. Mexican food isn't exactly my thing but I have been here a couple of times and their dishes are good. Their drinks are also good; we had some margaritas and they were very tasty.

A true delight!

By CarlAway |

Have been to Rancho Grande several times but this is the first time rating it online. Can't say enough good things about this place. Great service, great food, reasonable prices. If you have these three things, you don't have to say anything else. Best Mexican meal in Miami!

Not worth the cost

By Ella Martinez |

Visited this place a bit ago, prices are on the higher side, and the food didn't live up to the cost. I've had better Mexican for less. Service was pretty good.

Mexican surprise in Kendall

By Alain L |

Being a mexican food snob after living south of the border for many years, I did not have great expectations when we visited that joint late a sunday night. Fortunately we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, very authentic. Margarita was good, guacamole excellent for starters. I very happy that they had a " mexican platter" which a sampler of some classic mexican fare: stuff pepper, green enchiladas, chicken in mole, pork pibil with side of refried beans. Excellent way of tasting a variety of regions! Staff was friendly and service was good. Two thumbs up!

Very Good Mex

By Gator2357 |

A Mexican restaurant that gets it right. Terrific menu and very tasty food. The service is good and a fun place to dine,

So delish!!!

By Catherine Munoz |

Such a yummy spot to eat! Table guacamole is made to order and so good! Margaritas are great! Staff is nice and fast with your orders. I really enjoy coming here to eat!

Authentic Mexican Food

By anacf71 |

Amazing food! Fun place! Great service! I've been a patron at this little gem for a few years and highly recommend . The food is authentic. The place is clean. Their prices are reasonable. Margaritas are superb. You can't go without trying their tequilamisu!

Authentic Mexican Food with a bit more class than you would expect.

By Rsantisteban |

This tiny gem is a can't miss Mexican spot! The service is always great and the food is always authentic and well presented. Ingredients used are top notch and they never cut corners. By far the best Mexican food in Miami. The Margaritas are always made from scratch. Guacamole always prepared table side. Prices are a little more than your typical Mexican Restaurant but you definitely get what you pay for. Great value, but not cheap. The Mexican style shrimp dish is phenomenal.

Very good

By americangirl69 |

Not a bad choice on their menu. All their food is made fresh with fresh ingredients. Average price is between $10 to $15 per entree. Their best item is the cuarto leche dessert. This place does fill up quickly so stop by early

Always great!

By Lissette G |

I always find the freshest food and great service in this restaurant. Food is very authentic and great ingredients are used. There hasn't been a plate that i haven't liked. I really recommend this place. One of the best restaurants in Kendall!

Mexican Food in the heart of Kendall

By SandraD75 |

My mission was to visit the constantly acclaimed Tacos and Tattoos, but unfortunately when I arrived it was packed to the brim. That's a good sign though, right? With my mood hampered so slightly, I decided to journey on and find another place. Just aimlessly going wherever the road took me. Getting back on 88th I came across a location I knew I had always passed by, frequently going to Puerto Madero which is right next door (don't worry, you're next Puerto Madero). I decided to give this quaint spot a try and boy do I not regret doing so. The food was excellent and service on point! El Rancho Grande has assured me that genuine Mexican food is very possible to find in the heart of Kendall

BEST GUACAMOLE AROUND!

By no1smilecreator |

no one has a better guacamole appetizer. They make it for you fresh every time while you wait. overall service is very good too

farly good but TOO EXPENSIVE.....

By SONNY |

It is time to understand that a Mexican restauran CANNOT and SHOULD overcharge its customers "just because". A $5 cortadito (stree prices $1.5)? $15 Guacamole (its only avocado and tomatoes)? $17 quesadillas (4 pieces)?? Come on, guys, these are ABSURD prices for a mexican restaurant. I bet your food cost is a small fraction of that! I feed the total should have been - at the most - 60% of what it was.... Being OVECHARGED takes away the fun off an evening with a friend. Never again.

Great food

By Tuti1107 |

We ate here for the first time the other day. It was awesome. I recommend to anyone in Kendall the burrito was excellent.

Best Mexican restaurant in Miami

By yvonne s |

Great margaritas! We’ve have dined at this restaurant half a dozen times and never been disappointed. Not the typical fast food Mexican food but hearty Mexican meals. Great guacamole. Family ambiance and good service

Excellent!

By Delatorrellc |

I eat here often and was surprised I hadn't written a review yet. The food in this Mexican restaurant is superb. Ceviche is one of my favorite dishes and this has to be one of the best in town. The Guacamole here is also fantastic, prepared right at your table and you can see and smell the freshness of the ingredients they use. El Rancho has a communication system among the staff where everyone wears a headset and are constantly communicating with each other. Everyone then is in effect your server and an extra this or that is delivered very fast. Prices are great considering the caliber of food you are getting. I highly recommend El Rancho Grande. Enjoy!!

Best Mexican in Kendall!

By Jason F |

Best hole in the wall American style Mexican food. There are some authentic dishes, but cant pass up a burrito or the tostadas. The strawberry mojito is really good. They have a sunday brunch that is really good. If your looking for a twist on breakfast I suggest your try it. Best Mexican restaurant in Kendall!

It started well

By Laura |

We visited this restaurant on a recommendation from locals. It started well - I had a good margarita, and the guacamole (which is made fresh in front of diners) was also good. But the mains were a let-down - really bland.

Awesome Food

By Toya M |

Dependable fave for Mexican fare

By ScannerGFlorida |

I had dinner together with two friends on Sunday night. The place was almost full; we’d booked for 6:30 and were promptly seated and served. We had nachos and then quesadillas for the main course - both were very good and clearly prepared with care. I noticed a recent review stated that their beer portions were smaller - it may be true for what’s on tap, but I ordered a Heineken, which came with the standard-size bottle. Tres leches and flan for dessert, both of which tasted fresh and close to perfection. The service was excellent but we were allowed plenty of time to enjoy the evening. Seems it’s a very well-managed deal!

We stumbled upon this hidden

By Munda |

We stumbled upon this hidden gem and could not have had a better experience! Our waiter, Orlando, was both accommodating and personable. His recommendations made for a fantastic dinner- we highly recommend the unique margaritas and homemade guacamole. We almost went back for lunch the next day.

Best Mexican Food in town!

By Connie77 |

We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and are never disappointed! An excellent menu with varied dishes and outstanding Margaritas. On 5 de Mayo it is rocking with Mariachis and music. Service is excellent too!

Great food / Excellent Margarita

Great place after visit to the Miami Zoo. Excellent service and food. Little pricey but excellent place.

Great Mexican Cuisine

By Gator2357 |

Fabulous Mexican restaurant in Kendall. Extensive menu and great service. You can't go wrong here.. Everything is top notch

Great Food and Drinks

By Gina F |

First time and it was great. Had the fresh guacamole with chips for our appetizer and enchiladas for my entree. Loved the service and food. You won't be disappointed.

Unprofessional

By Tuti1107 |

My husband and I have gone to this restaurant many times and we have had great food here but what they did to us today was unprofessional which caused me to leave. My daughter went next door ordered food and brought it into the restaurant our waitress was so rude she asked her to leave because she had brought food in. I was very nice and I said we have seen people bring food in before she said there is a sign which I had not seen which I respect rules but the way she told me that my Daugher to leave was expectable in my eyes she is a kid. The manager should of come over expressed he was sorry or at least offered an option or something they did nothing they have lost a good paying customer from us.

it is an OK mexican restaurante.

By Fenicio |

The food is good, the ambience is nice and mexican festive, however is no to be qualified as Great or Wow...it is a good run of the mill mexican restaurante..nothing to write home about. If you ask if I would go back, I would say yes. As I said in the title of my review...it is an OK mexican restaurant...not great but not bad either.

Very Good Mexican Food

By selias2015 |

Ate lunch with my husband at El Rancho Grande on Sunday, June 14, 2015. The place was full, but got a seat within 5 minutes of arriving. The service was impeccable, and service staff answered all questions about the dishes. They were also there when wanted, and refilled chips, drinks, etc., as frequently as wished. The guacamole had the right amount of picante, and we could have asked for more or less, as the dish was made by our table. The Plato Mexicano had a variety of items to sample, and all were delicious. My husband had burritos, and enjoyed them as well. For desert, we had sopapillas, an ice cream, tortillas and honey concoction that we could have repeated immediately. Recommend El Rancho Grande to families and couples. The staff alone are worth the trip since they are attentive and knowledgeable.

Sunday Lunch

By nibaldom2015 |

Have been here on various occasions, but it had been a couple months. The hostess was very nice as usual and sat us down promptly. Our server was nice and knowledgeable on the menu. One of the things we enjoy here is the Guacamole prepared table side, unfortunately it doesn’t seem they do that anymore. They used to serve large beers on tap but apparently that’s no longer the case. I will say the queso fundido with chorizo was on point. We had some burritos and they were delicious as well as the sweet plantains with carnitas. Overall, the food was good but the serving of the Guacamole was smaller than before and not prepared table side. Their margaritas and beers are now not as before, that said pretty consistent food worth trying. Enjoy

Best Mexican food and outstanding service

By Norena B |

Everything that I have tried from the menu is delicious and the service is THE best..everyone is very friendly. I have been told that the desserts are delicious but never enough room to eat it. Highly recommend it.

Mexican Night

By Sarushkaya |

We decided to go to El Rancho. The ambiance is simulating a Fonda. Guacamole and Chips to start. The Guacamole was bland with a lime taste. It was ok. Entrees: Cochinita Pibil, Tacos Pastor & Tacos Cochinita.they were delicious. Well seasoned and savory. Each dish was good enough to share. Jarritos de Mango to drink. For dessert the Fried Iced Cream was the best part of the meal. It came on an edible crispy bowl topped with whipped cream and fruits. Service was attentive and prompt.

In love with Rancho Grande!

By daisy757 |

My fiancee and I had been told to visit Rancho Grande because the food was great. We finally tried it with my daughter and son-in-law yesterday. Oh my!! Everything was great! From the service to the desert, all the food was prepared fresh and the taste is unlike any other Mexican restaurant I have been to in a very long time. We will definitely be coming back for some awesome food!!

My favorite place, EVER

By Gigi0406 |

Rancho Grande... If I could, I will go there every single day. All food is extremely delicious. I love mexican food, but this is QUALITY, super tasty, authentic mexican food. They have fresh squeezed lemonade (thank God, everything in this city comes from a machine). Their chips and salsa are always fresh. The place is super comfy! You can seat either inside or outside... The service is always great! I have NEVER had a complaint in here. It is just amazing... You must try their platanos rellenos appetizer. You will die! Lol... This place deserves more than 5 stars for sure.

Authentic as it gets

By Fernando A |

Fresh made guacamole to order! All items are great and authemtic! The Mole enchiladas are amazing as are the flautas!

small place,big on food

By BLUE512013 |

Excellent, casual mexican food ,the way it should be.I love the fired plantains with meat and cheese, also queso fundido was delicious, avoid the chip soup (to much canned tomato sauce).

Good Mexican food and excellent service

By JoseKendall |

If you look for a place for good Mexican food in the real Miami (not Miami Beach or Brickell, but the suburban Kendall area), this is one. Close to the real flavors you can find in Mexico, great Margaritas and the service is attentive and fast! The Guacamole, the Cochinita Pibil and the Flautas: Thumbs Up! If you don't mind the noise, seat indoors. If you can stand the humid and hot weather of a Miami summer, outside is quieter, but overall, a good alternative.

Love Mexican, MUST GO!!!!

By Barbara B |

Passing through town and growing up in Arizona I judge Mexican food!! This place is amazing!!! I am just sorry I live in the other coast of Florida. Robert was our server, friendly and attentive. I had the Chili Relleno and the favors were so Authenic!! My girlfriend, a vegetarian had the veggie chimichanga and it was loaded at least 8 different veggies. If I pass through I WILL stop in again.

Great Mexican food

By Canesbiggdogg |

Like always the food is made to order. The table guacamole is made in front of you and its great. I always getthe burrito which taste great.

Great food

By Patrkbukly |

You would think Miami would have only the best of the best cuisine which it does however Mexican Food not so much. El Rancho Grande however is probably the #1 in flavor, freshness, authenticity and they have a location on Miami Beach (which I prefer as the ambiance is better). Get the Civeche Guacamole made at the table and a plate of enchiladas in Tamatillos (green spicy) sauce. You will be glad.

Hidden Gem

By Lori F |

El Rancho Grande is a great little Mexican restaurant in Kendall. There is outdoor seating plus huge indoor seating. Waiter was excellent! A must try is the guacamole!! Made fresh for each order and it is absolutely magnificent! Best I have ever had! The main courses are huge ~ I had the Pollo Con Mole Poblano-La Receta De Mi'ja - delicious! Well worth a trip out "west" in Kendall.

Excellent Mexican food!

By Wagner V |

We went there with a group of 7 people. Service was great and the food very tasty, with large portions well crafted to the Mexican style. Try the Tampico Carne Assada.

Delicious!

By aracely130 |

Very authentic Mexican food. The teak was very delicious and well cooked. The outdoor seating was a good idea for Miami weather and the service was great too.

Good Mexican food, friendly service

By ajdial |

Hidden in a strip mall next to two more Mexican joints, this one has a good vibe and a real authentic flavor. We had the fish tacos, chicken mole, veggie chimi, and chile relleno - all excellent. They make guacamole at the table which looked delicious. Margaritas were interesting because the salt on the rim was multicolored. Will come again.

Margarita Monday

By Canesbiggdogg |

Great margaritas as always. The food was great as always. I took my daughter and her BF there for the first time. I had invited them several times but they are always busy. The guacamole is fantastic as always and the burritos are fantastic. They said theu will definitely return as i will

Worse Restaurant experience of my life...don't go there

By reina l |

Be very careful dont go to this place. we were 7 people 3 adults and 4 children, according to them by their own rules they only accept tables with a maximum of 6 people, they explained it after we ordered some margaritas which cost $20 each, they were asking us for 1 person to sit at 1 table separately alone, they told us that they are their own rules, we called the manager and it was worse, they treated us very badly, Mr. had the mask under his nose and I told him that they wanted to impose rules but they do not comply with them, they also charge $10 fee to bring a cake, something that we didn't mind... we decided to pay for the margaritas and go eat and celebrate with the family in another place since we couldn't sit together.... They brought us disposable cups to take our drinks which They contained alcohol, which is illegal... And the worse of the worse... don't seat outdoor if you don't want to see the rats on the trees... please be aware of this place..

Not so Grande

By Gary A |

3rd time here. 1st time was almost great. Had to ginormous burrito. 2nd time. Was good had the fishy tacos. This trip I found out a secret that they don't advertise unless you ask and if they do I didn't see it anywhere. They use wine based mixers for cocktails. They charge the same price as a real top shelf cocktail. Not cool. I had the tacos tonight. Kinda of dry not much beef flavor. We have the chips and guacamole. No flavor on the avocados they use. The one in my yard are much better than the ones they use. Chips are flat and boring. Service is always excellent. This time they get an average rating. Because of the food I was served and the wine based cocktails. Time to move on.

Great Mexican Food

By Gator2357 |

If you're looking for really good Mexican food in a friendly environment I highly recommend El Rancho Grande in Kendall.

Great Mexican restaurant

By Canesbiggdogg |

The best part of the meal was the guacamole appetizer that they prepare at your table. It was probabaly the best guacamole I have had. The burrito I ate was very good also. The food was fresh and made by an authentic Mexican chef.

Delicious food and Awesome service.

By Maria Acevedo |

My son and I usually go for breakfast on the weekend. We go early in the morning so we are the only ones there, service is great. Friendly staff. Food is awesome, you get a lot of food. The prices are not that bad for the amount of food that you get. Keep in mind that they are closed on Sundays.

Best Mexican

By Diana K |

We found this restaurant when looking for a place to have margaritas and nachos. It was fabulous and the guacamole is made to order. The next day we were back for lunch with family and we all agreed that they had the best burritos and mole we had ever had. Both "Brian" on the first day and "Carlos" on the second day were great, everyone was very friendly.

Great Guacamole

By Angiefl |

This restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine. The margaritas are delicious and the food as well. The service is very good and from the number of patrons you can tell that they are very popular.

Great authentic Mexican food

good mexican cuisine in kendall!

By SelectaTraveler |

we went a couple of nights ago again and I decided to write this review so that people in Kendall know that we don't need to go to Homestead to find good authentic Mexican food. The service is fair, the prices ok too and the quality of the food very good. The ambiance is very authentic, try the queso fundido with chorizo, the michelada with all the trimmings and the sopa Azteca.. enjoy!

My favorite restaurant, hands down.

By Alexandra T |

To say I love this restaurant would be putting it lightly... I come here every chance I get because the food is just delicious. Honestly I have never had something I didn't like from here, and I try and get something different with each visit. This place has the best guacamole you will ever eat, not to mention anything on the menu is sure to not disappoint. It's a little pricey but the food, ambiance and service are well worth every dollar.

National Medical Staff Celebration

By Vivian S |

The restaurant is clean and very warm. The staff is friendly and attentive. The meals are taste and very fresh. Love the fresh guacamole that was prepared in front of us. I will recommend the sampler dish and for dessert the coffee with condense milk. We were very satisfied with the food, the services and the time expend at the restaurant. Will return.

Horrible! Small portions and nothing fresh

By Gisele Kolbrich |

If I came to a Mexican Restaurant that calls itself authentic, I expect to have at least fresh food. The rice was probably cooked the day before or 2 days ago. The tortillas was probably from Walmart and the salsa from the can! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I can’t understand why this place has good reviews at all! Portions are also super small! We ordered a taco salad and Fajitas.

You know.. i liked it.. authenthic mexican food at kendall prices (lol). We ordered the Queso Fundido ($10), Pastor Tacos ($12 for 3) and the Enchilada Suiza de Pollo ($15). La Manguera - a mango margarita ($9) and a Corona ($5) Prices may be a bit off but this is what i can remember off hand. Overall i thought the food was very good. Maybe a tad bit overpriced but understandable based on location. You can get the same quality food in homestead for half the price.. but for us in the kendall suburbs.. that schlep isnt always worth the gas money.. lets call it a push. The restaurant was packed. We arrived at 9p on Saturday and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We didnt have to wait that long and ended up with an outside table. We want to come back during an off night. I will be back.

Saturday Night

We have been here on many occasions and decided to have Mexican food. The hostess as usual was very nice and was able to accommodate us even though we didn’t make reservations. The waitress attended to us right away and took our drink orders and appetizers. The queso fundido with chorizo was excellent, with the soft tortillas. We also had sweet plantains with carnitas and was scrumptious. We also ordered various tacos and were excellent. The food here is very good, and if you want to come here and get great value come on taco Tuesday. The only thing I did notice that the size of the beers they serve have become smaller and maybe I should have asked, but other than that good solid restaurant. Happy Dining

We went on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. We started with the guacamole. It is a shame they dont make it at table any more but it was still on point. We had the fajitas for 2 and they were excellent.

Best Guacamole in Miami

I really like El Rancho Grande and with Mexican being my favorite cuisine this is saying a lot. The restaurant is located in a strip mall right off Kendall Drive and it is surrounded by other food options- yet it is always busy. Customer service can be touch and go depending on how busy they are but you can see all servers really hustling. The place isn't very large so they have done away with tableside guacamole service but it hasn't impacted the quality. I would venture to say it is some of the best guacamole in Miami. Every dish we have tried when we have been there- from the cochinita pibil, to the mole enchiladas, the chilaquiles and the chimichangas have all been delicious, well cooked, served the right temperature and flavorful. Their pico de gallo is fresh and served with freshly fried tortilla chips. The drinks are also very good- I have always had the margaritas the mix is good without being overly sweet.

Great Margaritas/Mojitos and best guacamole.

We come regularly to this neighborhood restaurant in a strip shopping center. The service is excellent and the food is always prepared with fresh ingredients. Do not miss the table side prepared guacamole. Mashed right there at your table and seasoned to your satisfaction. Surprisingly enough, they have one of the best mojitos I have ever had, and the margaritas are great as well. If you are not up for alcohol, their "agua fresca" , (fruit flavored water) are delicious. All the typical Mexican dishes can be had, and always feel like home cooked food. Tacos al Pastor, Chilaquiles and Cochinita Pibil stand out. Breakfast on Sunday morning beats the alternative of staying home staring at frozen waffle, and the prices are very reasonable.

Great place

Really great food. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The price seems a little bit high but for the amount of great quality food it is totally worth it.

We were a party of 7. We started with 2 table avocado and they were good. We had from burritos, quesadillas, and the special platter. All were fresh and good. The food is always good here.

It’s great

So this is our 3rd or 4th time here. We like it. Weirdly enough, I loved the ceviche - not typically Mexican, but to my taste delicious 😋. Chicken with mole is on the fence because after eating this in Mexico, none measure up any more. That dish is ruined for us in the US since February when we were in Mexico. We keep trying though. Had sopa azteca,it was very good! Gave me a start bc it was “tomato-e” but it was still very tasty. Different strokes for different folks so I would encourage anyone to try it. It’s worth it.
