Good service and good food

By Tammy C |

While staying briefly in Seattle I enjoyed a light meal at Elephant and Castle. My waiter was helpful with menu options and never rushed me. Britsh decor and optional outside dining on a sunny day.

Great Pub-like Atmosphere!!

By Barbara W |

My husband and I decided to try this and it didn’t disappoint! I ordered a “flight of pies” which included a potato leek pie, chicken pot pie, beef and mushroom pie and Shepherd’s pie. Perfect size for getting a generous taste of each dish! Our waiter was extremely attentive and personable. Don’t miss out on this place!

OK place but nothing to write home to mother about

By rovingrabbit2 |

It was pelting down rain and we were hungry and staying at the Motiff Hotel .We didn't want to walk far. It was a Saturday night and the place was not overly busy. 24 different beers are available at around $6 for a 20oz glass. We decided to have a meal and a bottle of red wine ($26 for a drinkable merlot but not exciting or special) We had a steak and mushroom pie @13.95. Plenty of gravy not much steak but good pastry on top. Good salad. I think 6/10 The chicken pie was similar - plenty of gravy not much chicken. 6/10. The meals were ok but no more than ok. Good table service by a friendly and helpful waiter ..8/10 A sports bar atmosphere. Our bill with tip for the 4 of us was us$100. I would be prepared to try some of the other food on offer with the thought that its just pub food , no more than this. Overall 6.5/10 The meals tasted ok

Perfect spot for going away linch

By Claudette C |

A friend got a new job and this is where I chose to take her. We both like British pub food so it was a perfect choice. I had the English style fish and chips and she had the shepherd pie. This was the best English style fish I have had in quite awhile and she said same for her dish Our waiter was fun and friendly asking us what brought us in that day. He remembered that we were celebrating her new job and congratulated her when we left. The restaurant and restrooms were extremely clean. Yes it was early in the day but it is clear they put a lot of effort into keeping it clean. Definitely recommend this place!

A little gem in seattle

By Nigel R |

Looking for a great pub to eat and drink i would definitely recommend the elephant and Castle a great choice of beers bottled and draft and ive eaten here a handful of times. The staff are helpful and you get good service and best of all its reasonably priced

Nice Subterranean Pub

By Jeff |

This is a good little english style pub. The staff are all quick to take your order. The beers on tap and food is good.

Get some proper Tonic Water

By GHalewood |

Called in for drinks during our stay. They have a big choice of draft and bottled beers and we settled on a local cider and very nice to. The thing that let it down for me was they don’t have proper bottled Tonic Water for their Gin and Tonics but the draught stuff out of the guns. The few times we did have G&Ts they tasted different every time due to the poor quality tonic water.

Pretty good pub food

By John A |

The food in this restaurant/bar was pretty good, but that's about the best I can say. It seems to be trying to mimic what you would find in the United Kingdom, but the food was not quite there. The beers available from the UK (London Pride, Smithwicks the night I visited) are expensive, but American beers are reasonably priced. All in all, it's pretty decent.

More like a chain than a pub

By Ronald C |

We were disappointed in our visit. The decor was like a chain restaurant ,the menu was like a chain restaurant and the food was like a chain restaurant Nothing special ,just OK

Nice atmosphere; surprisingly good salad

By JasWilliams |

I wasn't expecting anything above the usual pub fare at this place, but I was pleasantly surprised. Old Speckled Hen ale, which was very nice. The shepherd's pie was a little bland, but the gravy on the side helped. The side salad with it was really very good: Mixd greens, cucumber, feta, sliced almonds, and a nice vinaigrette. Brian was great behind the bar.

Good food great service. Nice

By James R |

Good food great service. Nice atmosphere. Server was very nice. Happy hour specials were good. Few more words

Nice Bar for Afternoon Refreshments

By niamhinho |

Just a quick visit to refresh ourselves, turned into a couple of pints of Boddingtons (good pint!) and a couple of tasty Pimms! Delicious! Kids were hungry so Pretzel sticks and fried pickles, which were very good. A couple of games of Pool and an hour or so enjoyably spent.

Great pub to visit in Seattle

By KV |

I visited this pub with my friends during happy hours. Beer was great and it's taste good. It has good options for the people who love drinks. It serves good snaks and food options as well. Ambience is spacious and you can spend some great time with your family or friends. Love to visit again.

"British style" pub

By Pebbles111 |

I popped in recently for drinks, with friends. It's a like British style pub, with British accents / decor. It was super busy at the time of our visit and we waited a few minutes for a table. Once seated, a server came to assist us regularly and he was friendly and helpful. We didn't try any of the food but it looked satisfactory. Maybe OK if you're looking for something relatively quick & inexpensive. For drinks it was a nice venue to hang out and I'd would return in the future.

Good Dinner

By ImaCoug |

Fun location with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good and filling. Was a little loud inside, but we enjoyed ourselves!

Great service...good food!

By Xcleeglee2015 |

Enjoyable lunch before the 5th Avenue. "Bar A" was our waitress, super et our needs completely- enjoyed splitting a lunch without a problem. Try the Rueben - very good, reasonable prices. The great service pushed the E and C rifgr to a 5!

Afternoon Beers

By Melanie P |

After another day of sightseeing and souvenir shopping we deserved an afternoon beer. Nearly walked past this little courtyard bar. Mind you not so little if you go inside. There is a large bar, booth and table seating and a pool table. We shared a Chicken Wrap with chips as a snack and this was more than enough. Food was good and so were the beers. Great atmosphere. We would go back for dinner if we were staying longer.

Worth the visit

By OurAdventures2 |

Friendly staff. Lovely food and cheap prices. We ordered Steak Pie, Chips, Chicken Salad and 2x Cajun Wraps along with 2 Cokes and 2 Beer and it come to $99!

Great place to watch a game

By irvingtonevk |

Wonderful English pub food. Great shepherds pie. Fun place to watch a game. On Wednesday nights bottles of wine are half price.

Fun atmosphere

By Amy A |

Fantastic service, lots of different menu options. I got the chicken pot pie it was good but my friends cheesy potato leek pie was better.

Good Lunch Below Average Dinners

By ladybug5 |

My husband and I ate at Elephant and Castle for lunch and dinner in October on our way to canada Lunch was quite good had hamburgers Dinner was disappointing I had fish and chips the fish was dry and over cooked Restaurant is busy and reservations are suggested

Fair food nothing spectacular

By htibs1 |

This was next door to our hotel, so close for a late dinner as we just arrived into town. Service was marginal, she seemed to have WAY to many tables for one server. Food was fair priced and fair tasting

Nice place in Seattle

By Gigi X 4 |

This pub/restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. It did not disappoint. Happy hour on the patio was lovely. Good food. Nice selection of appetizers & entrees. Good service too. I definitely recommend.

Pub dinner

By Stephanie F |

This was a good spot for pub food - steak pie, shepherds pie, etc. I had a beer and the shepherds pie (something i would not normally order, but hey, in a pub, so why not). It was quite good and filling.

Comfortable hang out for drinks & eats

By Georgann F |

Great place to congregate with friends. Great food, great brew choices, service is fast & friendly. Walking distance to the 5th Avenue Theater.

Ye Olde Trunk and Brick

By David S |

Called in for lunch and a couple of ales. Waiters were efficient and respectful. Food was nice and the drinks cold. Prices were ok for Seattle. A bit noisy as the footy was on tv and the bar packed. Not the worst place in town.

Nice Dining Experience Ruined by a Reward Card Redemption Mishap

By Kevin L |

I got the rare chance to redeem an opentable (OT) dining reward and Elephant & castle was one of the participating restaurants. Unfortunately, Jordan, the acting manager on duty, was not quick to think on her feet to reach out to OT first when her General Manager was not reachable by phone since it was their GM's night off and she just kept dialing her GM repeatedly - I ended up reaching out to OT's customer service directly myself to get this resolved and had I not done so, this whole thing could have easily gone on for a whole hour (as this whole ordeal took about 30 minutes of everyone's precious time). Their staff that cover the host desk is a hot mess and long story short, my reservation was marked as a no-show, causing my OT reward gift card balance to be totally depleted. Jordan refused to take responsibility for what happened until the third time I mentioned to her that it is their responsibility to properly check in guests' reservations and not let this mishap happen, and she finally acknowledged and apologized after the third time - not all too professional. The food was pretty darn good overall - their mini sausage rolls are to die for! Tomato and feta cheese app was pretty delish, and their fish & chips were yummy as well. I did not care for the coleslaw that came with fish & chips and only took couple bites. The bartender serving me made some kick-ass old fashioned! I came on a Thursday night and got their throwback Thursday $2 off old fashioned happy hour special. Without the whole OT reward redemption nightmare, this was a pretty decent dining experience.

Great place for Fish and Chips

By mark |

Great place for Fish and Chips right in the heart of the city. Great place to watch soccer games. Authentically British.

Lovely Dessert

By Victoria N |

I ate here for the first time in February 2023. As I am from the UK I was keen to try the menu. I really enjoyed the Highland Pudding as dessert, and for the main course I enjoyed the Manta's Butter Chicken. It certainly was not cheap, however the menu was varied. My main negative is with regard to the service. I had barely started my main meal when the waitress approached me regarding whether I wanted dessert. I had barely even started my dessert when the waitress was asking me about whether I wanted the bill. A nice atmosphere however the service requires attention.

Stopped in for a drink

By Eva L |

Very cute pub with typical pub food. We came in for a drink and ended up ordering the pretzels. They were amazing! The bartenders were very attentive and friendly.

Good value

By COZIETOES |

Good value friendly staff. Portion much bigger than pubs in Britain. Service a little slow when busy .

Pie flight?

By Pete and Kristen |

We had just landed in Seattle, stopped at the hotel, and called the restaurant to see if we could get in (no reservations, Saturday night around 7 pm). Person who answered said they were really full and not sure they could seat us. Wife went to their website and had no issues making an online reservation so we went over. Wasn't even half full! Anyway, my 11 YO son loves steak and ordered the Steak & Chips. He loved it. Wife ordered the Wee Pie Flight, four small savory pies. Thought three were good and one was great. I got the shepherd's pie. All good. Had two Boddingtons. Not a beer drinker but it was good. Restaurant was nice inside. Staff was good. Prices seemed reasonable. Got a picture by the telephone booth.

Delicious

By alisone97 |

Picked this spot based on reviews. Our first visit to Seattle. Excellent choice as the food and service were excellent. Good portion sizes and reasonable prices.

Great restaurant and bar.

By Michael F |

We were in Seattle for a long weekend. We ended up going to Elephant and Castle three times. Great food and great bar. Located in the Downtown area. We were there to watch a World Cup soccer qualifying game, and then again to watch college football. Lots of TVs, great place to watch a game.

A surprising find near 5th Ave. Theatre

By ShelleyL68 |

We travel downtown frequently for events and had yet to find a solid drop-in restaurant near the 5th Avenue Theatre. We always pass Elephant & Castle but never seriously consider it, until yesterday. We were extremely surprised to stumble into Elephant & Castle and enjoy a delicious meal before an afternoon show. The truffle parmesan potato crisps were phenomenal and the roasted mushroom ravioli was rich and saucy. A definitely stop again for a casual lunch in a festive atmostphere.

Great English food and drinks

By Jeff S |

We went here as a "backup plan" when our Father's Day dinner plans fell through. Looking back, this was an excellent back up plan - and should have been our plan from the start. The food was excellent (including authentic English food), and the drinks were very good all around. That said, they were a bit on the short-staffed side, but it wasn't obvious to the untrained eye - and the food was worth it.

It's okay.

By Ed C |

The atmosphere here is great, with the open air setting. We had the pretzel bites with bacon/beer cheese dip and they were pretty good. Then we had Fish & Chips, and the Sunday Roast. The Fish & Chips were just average, but the tartar sauce and coleslaw were not so good. The roast was okay, but the it was smothered in a not so good gravy. Since there are so many better choices to eat in Seattle, we won't be back.

Awesome Pretzel Sticks & Half Off Wednesday Wine!🍷

By margaritasat5 |

This is a pretty cute place...they have an inside dining area and an outside dining area. We chose to sit outside, soak in the sounds of the city, and enjoy the ambience of trees, lush greenery and gorgeous flowers beneath the night sky. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the pretzel sticks. The wine was half price because it was Wednesday night, and the pretzels were to die for! Puffs of pretzel dough cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of butter, sea salt and garlic. Our bill was approximately $45 with tip...but we didn't order the cheapest bottle of wine on their list. I would recommend this restaurant and I would dine here again, without hesitation.

Interesting British Fare

By JentheLibrarian |

We ate here twice on a recent trip to Seattle for the simple reason that it was near our hotel. The restaurant is family friendly with some interesting menu choices and outdoor seating. Both nights our servers were patient with our overly tired children, and did not flinch as we asked for multiple changes to accommodate both eating restrictions and picky palettes.

Touches the spot

By Debbie D |

It ain’t fancy but the food is good, there is a good selection of beers and the service exceptional. I’d go back. The offer of separate bills is great for larger group to avoid ‘that how much is my part’ discussion.

So good we returned and sent friends there too.

By TR3B-1962 |

Our first night in Seattle we picked the Elephant and Castle as it was quite walkable, and we love British Pubs. It was nice to have cider on tap, and my stuffed Yorkshire Pudding was perfection. My wife enjoyed her Citrus Chicken Salad as well. Our server on the first visit was Phoebe, and she was brilliant. We finished the meal with the bread pudding with butter rum sauce and whipped cream, it is was the best restaurant bread pudding we ever had, nearly as good as my wife's homemade version. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next night and my wife enjoyed the Yorkshire Pudding, and I had a delicious lamb burger. Our server was good, but not up to the level of Pheobe.

Fantastic

By Diane S |

Just simply a wonderful welcoming bar/pub/eatery in downtown Seattle, very relaxed, great cheerful staff, really good cellar of different ales.....just what a good ' pub ' should be. Thank you, great place 👌

Average English style pub

By Jorelfitz |

Service was good but food was average. We split a French dip and poutine. Sandwich and au jus were bland. Poutine was better but not fantastic. Other than that the restaurant seemed clean, service was good, and prices weren’t too bad for downtown Seattle.

The food was good, ambiance not so good

By Kathy M |

We went there because of its proximity to the 5th Ave Theatre. The food was tasty and served in a timely manner. But the place was so noisy that I had to shout at my companion. Next time we go to the theatre we will find a quieter place, as dinner before the play is as much a part of the evening as the play itself is. Also, the TVs around the place kind of cheapen it. I mean, do you want to be a fun restaurant or a sports bar?

Mediocre

By educatrice |

Best to give 0% tip on take out and then tip at the pick up once you verify your order. Mediocre food. One of the only late night choices. We got back to our room missing items and then had to wait. Felt like we inconvenienced them by coming back for the missing food. Needless to say, it was a cold meal.

Great fish and chips.

By Linda R |

It was easy to find and to get seated on a Friday night. Three of us ordered the fish and chips. It was amazing. I think the best I have eaten. My husband agreed and plans to come back for lunch before we return home.

Good theme, not as good execution

By fritztc |

Parked in the Motif parking lot for a concert at the Triple Door and saw the Elephant & Castle as we were walking out. The prices were par for a Seattle place and I thought there was enough variety to serve the gluten-free needs of some in the group. I had the Butter Chicken Poutine which is a complete departure for me. Honestly, the heat from the dish was manageable but the execution was unappealing as the chicken was bone dry and the fries were soggy. My daughter had the Peri Peri Pops appetizer but it still came in at $13 for a paultry serving. My son had the special which was a horseradish roast beef sandwich on gluten-free bread, but I tried it and you could barely taste any horseradish (also $13). I had a great Snoqualmie beer there so the selection was nice, but overall I'd have to say "meh." All in all, meh.

Flavoursome food

By Ian V |

Went with family for lunch and found many options on the menu which is great for a pub. Had traditional pub food plus wraps and salads. Everyone enjoyed their meals so good result. Service was friendly and efficient. Well done.

Good option for downtown, relaxed and low-key

By lig24 |

Wanted "comfort food" after a long day of travel, and as it was conveniently located, thought I'd give it a try. Had the Beef-Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding, which fit the bill nicely. The Yorkshire Pudding was very well-prepared, the beef was good (but could have been better), the gravy was the main source of flavor and there was plenty of it. The garlic mashed potatoes were the perfect side, and were quite good The mixed vegetables were disappointing - the broccoli was too tough, the zucchini was too mushy, and none of it had any flavor. The ice tea, which you think would be hard to mess up, was so bad I couldn't drink it. The waiter was not in any hurry, and at first I wasn't sure I was sitting in anyone's station as it took so long for anyone to come take a drink order. Once he came by I decided to place my drink order with my entree order in case it took him a while to return. I didn't have to wait too long for my food, and it arrived hot, which was appreciated. Overall, just an average place for average food and access to multiple sports programs on TVs throughout the bar.

Fun pub

By nikki317 |

It's nothing like a British pub as it claims to be but if you overlook that there is a good selection of beers, friendly staff and reasonably priced food which is pretty tasty. We arrived in town late and needed a snack and a beer and this suited us perfectly.

English Pub Style

By Robert W |

It's a great location and open late but the food was just so so. In fairness, though, I order the Yorkshire Pudding which I've never had before. Maybe it was exactly the way it was suppose to be.

Service with a smile

By howellv2015 |

After travelling all day, we arrived hungry and wanted a light snack before bed. Elephant & Castle had just the right fix. We enjoyed great wings and a beer!

Nice hidden bar

By Patrick R |

This was a fun little restaurant, the service is quick the food is good and they have a very nice bar. Not very expensive and the atmosphere is light and mellow.

Very good food and service.

By rjs15 |

British pub style restaurant below street level at the Motif Hotel. Nice place with friendly and helpful servers, like Russell. I had the fish tacos which were very good; Pat had the chicken pot pie which was tasty with an atypical file dough crust.

Good for Lunch

By ginzo159 |

Good food, not great, but what do you expect in a Pub? I had the deluxe burger and my sister had the ruben and both were good. Nice atmosphere, friendly servers, but they could be just a bit more attentive.

Great night out with friends

By Sivan M |

They make custom drinks and have a menu for specialty mixers. The drinks are great and they’re known for their beers and special happy hour nights.

Good Food & Location

By Jadedmind |

I stayed at Motif, which is directly above this restaurant ,so it was super convenient for me, but also convenient if you're downtown in general. I liked the British atmosphere they were trying to create, though it is pretty loud if you're eating in. I ordered my food to go and was pretty happy with it. The fish and chips were tasty, but the fish was pretty oily. I had a Caeser salad as well that was excellent. Food is on the pricey side, but I was okay with the price I paid.

Quick dinner before the Theater

By paulowlcourt |

Stopped by for a quick dinner, service was fast, food average. We shared a lettuce wrap dinner and filling was okay but nothing special. Okay for a chain, lots of guests and busy vibe to the scene.

Snail and castle

By Marc A |

Probably the worst service we’ve ever had. We were sat in Aaron’s section and about 15 minutes later we had still not been greeted so we waived over a server from another section to ask for water and ordered with them. When our food came Aaron, our server, came over for the first time with barely a mumbled sorry. I asked for a straw which came 10 minutes later after I finished my water. Food was ok but service was SO BAD I would never go again.

Great food & fun multi level patio

By chaskunz |

We are visit Seattle. We stopped to have a mid day snack of pretzel and cheese. It was great! We came back for supper of Fish & chips. Both were so good! E will return on all our visits!

Cool British Pub in Seattle!

By S_Robbie014 |

My family of 6 stopped in for dinner after a play at the Paramount Theater and had a fantastic meal. The atmosphere is total British pub. Good beer, legit grub and quick service. I had the bangers and mash, a few of us had the pot pie, my daughter fish and chips and my wife had Shepherd's pie. All were delicious-good portion sizes too. The location also has a bar, several TVs to watch soccer, a pool table and darts. Prices are fair for the area, the menu has enough to please most appetites and the restaurant was clean and well kept. We saw several kids eating as well.

Time for a bite of Britain

By Chris L |

This place is so neat looking from the street with the old red phone booth as part of their decor. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff were friendly. The food options were vast including bangers and mash to burgers to butter chicken curry over fries. Prices were decent, and the food was good.

Great dinner

By snowmiser |

Came in for dinner and had a great meal. The draught beer selection was not extensive but hit all the right notes. I selected one of my favorites, Boddingtons. For dinner I had the shepards pie that was very tasty and just the right portion. The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was inviting.

Absolutely a must while in Seattle.

By Nomad |

Best fish and chips outside of London. Highly recommended. Huuuuuuuge selection of local and imported brew.

Not worth the wait

By Mr M |

We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation, but we stood for four minutes at the door and were told by three waitstaff individually that they be right back to seat us. The food was apparently taking a long time as MANY other patrons were still waiting for their food; the overall mood was grumpy. Once seated at the table we sat for ten minutes without a wait person returning, no water, only a QR code to bring up the menu. We left and one of the waitstaff had a bewildered look upon his face. My Wife and I enjoyed the elephant and the castle before, but the service had down-graded drastically… maybe it’s COVID, maybe it is time to close the doors permanently?

Great food and service - and local beer

By Edik The Furry |

Had a lovely lunch with delicious beer. My waiter even let me degustate the beers so I could pick the one, which went best with my lunch. I will be back for sure!

Very noisy with good food.

By Steve |

Elephant & Castle is primarily a bar. It was VERY noise. So much that we could not hold a conversation across a small table. My wife's dinner (Steak pie) was very good, but my bangers and mash was bland. OK... but not great. Service was typically OK. It's just not the place for a quite meal. The 20 somethings seemed to be having a great time.

Decent bar worth a visit.

By Ian T |

Perhaps British looking from the outside due to the branding but inside this is a typical American bar. Plenty of TVs showing a myriad of sport with a pleasant atmosphere. There are a range of ales and the food and service were good on both the occasions we visited. Worth a visit if passing especially if its happy hour late afternoon.

Good Stop After The Show

By Robin A |

Me and my friend stopped by here after a matinee at the 5th Ave Theater (this is right down the street - literally). It was also across from our parking garage. It was nice, friendly atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, and decent food. We didn't drink anything but water so I can't say anything about the drinks. The food was pretty good. I got the grilled Rueben sandwich and side of poutine. (There is PLENTY to choose from on their menu) All was delicious and very filling Prices were reasonable. I'd go back if I was in the area!

Nice pub!!

By kina39 |

We had a couple of beers, french fries and nachos. It was not a costly place and lived the Nachos. We spend a nice couple of hours there. We realized at the end there were pool tables but it was too late. The place is of course vet British style which reminded me of London so great place.

Great lunch

By lmilley |

Had a great lunch here with friends. Great food at a very reasonable cost. Service was excellent! Highly recommend this for a good lunch!

First and last meal

By Scott S |

My wife and I were tired and staying at the Hilton a few blocks away. I noticed it on my way to Walgreens for supplies. Everything was top notch. I had the Shepherd's pie. My wife had the turkey club. They were both outstanding, really top quality. The service and ambiance was just what we needed. They have old speckled hen on draft, not a common occurrence for sure. The local brews were enjoyable. On the last night, we went back, which is rare for us to do when traveling. Again, it was very convenient and soooo on point the first time. We sat at the bar; Excellent bartenders and service. I had the French onion burger. My wife had wedge salad. Again, no reinvention the wheel here, but they were really well done with quality ingredients. We wouldn't think twice about going again.

Good Food, Friendly Service

By NancySF |

We were taking a walk around the area of our hotel and found this Pub and Restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter and given a great menu to choose our food from. There were so many interesting choices. I opted for what they called Pretzel Bites which I thought would be some little tiny pretzels, but no, they were huge pieces of a very fat pretzel, the ends dipped in butter and toasted. They came with a very large bowl of cheddar, beer dip that was out of this world. It was more than enough for 2 people to share. My husband ordered the Beef Vindaloo and onion rings, and I am not quite sure what it was, a stew of some sort, but he said it was very good. They have tv screens all around, and down a few stairs they have a pool table and darts. It was a very cool place and if I am ever in Seattle again I would go just to get the pretzels!

Great Service!

By chelseabird2013 |

Came in a little after 10 so we were kind of bummed they had switched to the late night menu. We were really looking forward to some Shepherds Pie! Aaron was our server and he was awesome! Very polite, friendly and attentive! We ordered a couple of beers (very excited to see organic beer on the menu) and a couple of starters to split. The Yorkies were good but fried pickles & crisps were your standard fried bar food. Finished off with bread pudding! Mmm!

Not the best ..

By beachc0mer |

Went there with family while we were in town for the weekend .. our previous visit a few years ago was way better ... food was way off the mark nothing to single out as extremely bad apart from mine and my hubby’s fries were over salted and had to be redone but everyone else’s was just edible nothing to say wow that was good ..or you must try this.. just everything mediocre...

Great location and good food too!

By Susan K |

We were looking for a spot to grab a bite before a show at the 5th. This worked perfectly. I really liked it as there is a spacious dining area which makes for a nice night for conversation and comfort. The food was enjoyed by all in our party and a lot of variety to accommodate a variety of tastes.

Good food

By Elaine C |

Stopped in when I was in Seattle a few weeks ago. Service was great, food was fantastic.!!! I am glad it was so wonderful, because Seattle has gone down the tubes.

No clue and no service

By A_Random_Pearswan |

Seated by the host and tried to order but all the servers flat out ignored us for 15+ minutes. They weren’t even busy.

A nice place to have a beer

By 114861 |

Great service and very nice local draft beers. Would go again had the stay in Seattle been longer. Staff great and friendly.

Popular casual restaurant with British leanings

By Celticlady09 |

So handy for a casual meal, featuring a British slant on the menu. Good food, good service and a good stop after a Seahawks game. Ordered the steak/ mushroom pie....very tasty!

Great beer place

By Ronniebisme |

Nice selection of tap and bottle beer. Daily specials , rotating kegs . Happy hour 4-6 and 10 till close which is nice Food looked ok , I did not have any so cant comment , bar is good size , good atmosphere

Good beer but...

By Jmorrison10 |

The first two beers we tried to order they were out of but the beer that the waitress suggested was really good so I didn't mind. Food was good. They seemed really short staffed. Would go back.

Great food and good drink selection

By Stefan P |

Escaping from a boring conference, a colleague and I stopped by for a late lunch and drinks. It was mid-afternoon on a Thursday first week of December and the place was 3/4 full and somehow loud. We ordered appetizers (me:pretzel bites / him: calamari) and locally crafted beers. The order was taken and delivered quite quickly and the server kept on coming often to either refill drinks or offer us the opportunity to order more food. This is chain restaurant made to look like a pub. Still good, but not what we had in mind. Would recommend to friends and family, but more for a mid-day stop .

Excellent first visit, service and food

By Moss |

We arrived, never having been here before, at around 2:30 (never the optimal time to try a new place or any place. Anyway, the waitress, Shaila, was endearing and helpful. New to the job and enthused to be working there. Great recommendation on the Shephards Pie and a tasty Onion and Ale soup. I will never have French onion soup again if this is an available alternative. My spouse had the leek and potato pie, also receiving a thumbs up. We are in Seattle semi-regularly and will now plan on stopping off at this pub-is spot. However, No Scotch Eggs!? WTF?

A nice place to go alone or with a party

By DinnerOnMyOwn |

In this pub and restaurant they find a cosy place also for the single traveller. The food is typical and tasty, the beer very good. Not too loud but vivid. After having tried it once I went there four evenings.

Happy Hour is the Best Time to Go

By Gregory W |

Why eat over priced food when you can eat for 1/2 the cost during happy hour? Beers and apps are reduced in this centrally located restaurant. The ambiance is hip, but if there is a convention in town, watch-out. It will take forever to get a seat.

Nice hang out

Very nice hang out. Happy hour specials, billiard room and darts, and friendly staff. Enjoyed fried pickles and a renter Reuben sandwich. Would like to come again

Great burgers!

By Courtney B |

My mom and I went here when we were staying at Motif. It's right below the hotel. It has a cool London pub atmosphere and their food was very good. The service wasn't the best, but it could have just been our server. I have only been once, so I dont know for sure. I got a burger with fries and enjoyed them both!

Adequate

English themed restaurant. Good choice but had to send stark back as overcooked. Baileys cheesecake hadn’t been near Baileys

Trip to DC for new year

By Jacqui R |

Good food and great bar tender makes a great Cosmopolitan highly recommend a visit here after a long day on your feet!!!!

great pub food

By irvingtonevk |

Very good pub food, and a wonderful place to watch Seahawks or Mariners games, or other similar sporting events. Lots of screens but not so crowded you can't get a seat. I've eaten there several times; always consistently decent service.

Good drinks and great service

By Jrprez |

We stopped in after our long flight to Seattle. We enjoyed the bar tender and the great lively atmosphere. Went back the second night because of the great service.

Great pub fare

By TAMAN1951 |

Onion rings and sausage rolls were super starters. Very fresh and tasty. Nice burgers and sliders. Bangers and mash had great flavor. Shepherds pie actually included lamb making it quite authentic. Attentive service. Fair pricing.

Avoid

By Steven Moreland |

Went there one evening during our two week stay at the Seattle Motif Hotel which is next door. Fancies itself as a English pub with British table staples such as Sheppards Pie which they have no clue how to make. Bangers and mash, fish & chips etc. Anyway order the Chicken Tender sliders. If you can’t make a better chicken sandwich than let’s say KFC, take it off the menu. Ate there once, never again.

An Inkling of a Pub

By Kevin D |

Had the opportunity for a quick trip into Elephant and Castle after a show. It tries to give you the essence of a Pub, but it really isn't even close. Kind of a poor theme-park version of a Pub, at best. Still, the place is good sized; offers decent Pub-style food; has an okay selection of beer, both local and import, on draft; has an okay selection of scotches; very pleasant staff; and doesn't blast music requiring screaming conversations. Prices weren't outrageous, but are still Seattle pretentiously high (you're paying for the location). Before or after a show...or perhaps shopping...this place isn't a bad choice. It won't win any James Beard awards or Michelin stars, but not much in Seattle rises to that level. I'll come back to it if for nothing else but the Truffle Chips. .

Nice location with average food

By LodiDazzles |

Located downtown below a hotel. Beautiful outside seating area with stairs down into the establishment. Food was average. Waiter was very sweet and attentive. Hearty hot food that fits the bill on a cold rainy day.

Great spot to grab a bite downtown

By Barbara W |

Ate dinner here before the show at the 5th Avenue. Great menu, reasonable prices for downtown, and friendly service. Had the fish and chips - nice English style, my companion had the Shepherd's Pie - classic English pub fare. He said it was delicious. Big bar, big restaurant; easy parkingin the garage.

Pre-theatre Dining

By gailo344 |

First visit for pre-5th Ave Theatre dining. Restaurant is about a block away from the theatre, & is below street level so there are a few flights of stairs to entry. I didn't see any other entry so this would not be handicapped accessible. Typical of pub/bars, the noise level is high. Restaurant was very busy, but we still received great service. Our waitperson kept tour coffee & hot water for tea filled. We ordered the salmon & stuffed yorkshire pudding. Everything was tasty, especially the green beans, which was the seasonal vegetable for the night. The downside was the meal was lukewarm, & we didn't have the time to have it sent back to the kitchen.

This Was A Nice Surprise!

By TheBuckhous |

We were enjoying our day being tourists in Seattle but having a difficult time trying to decide where to eat lunch. We just stumbled across this place while we were walking down 5th Ave. and thought we should give it a try since we wanted to sit outside on this beautiful day. The outdoor area is sandwiched between towering buildings creating an energizing atmosphere. Sports games are broadcast over outdoor speakers making for a unique experience in the downtown setting. The service was great and the food hit the spot. We ordered a couple local beers that they had on tap and since I was craving chicken wings I ate an entire order as my meal. My wife had a ceasar chicken wrap that was really tasty and everything was very fairly priced, especially for being in downtown Seattle. It was excellent experience and I'm glad we stumbled across this place. We will make sure to return when we are back in Seattle and perhaps I will try something a bit more complex than chicken wings. I am however a chicken wing connoisseur and could live off them if necessary so no regrets!

GOOD PUB FOOD, BEER CHOICES

By John S |

Stopped into this pub for lunch, and it was so good I went back 3 times in the week I was in Seattle. Good fish & chips, bangers & mash and other dishes. Pistachio crusted salmon was a treat.

Tuesday, May 30th dinner visit.

By iowacityia |

4 of us visited around 3:30 pm, after visiting the Space Needle. It is just a couple block walk, straight away from the Monorail terminal near 5th avenue and Pine St. It was not busy when we arrived, but it picked up quite nicely during our visit. Our server took very good care of us. We had the traditional Poutine as an appetizer. And I had the Manta’s Butter Chicken. The Poutine was tasty. The butter chicken was delicious. And it was a very large serving, along with the white rice. And the chocolate porter beer I had was so good. We had a very nice visit. I would certainly return.

Good pub

By John S |

Happy hour is 3-6 so we got half price appetizers and dollar off select beer. Appetizers were all excellent. Seemed like a great place to watch a game, staff was great too. It was a little pricey though.

Great

By mpasnikowski |

The place offers excellent food and a great atmosphere. I went there with a group of friends and we had a great time. For appetizers we ordered pretzel bites with delicious dijon mustard sauce, some chicken pops and calamari. My cajun chicken wrap was very tasty. I’ll come again.

slow service

By Juan F |

I went there for lunch during the week. Also they had many soccer screens but after a while searching they informed me that they couldn't play my spanish soccer team on tv, by that time I had already ordered a drink... The menu was short, what I like, but the options were not really appealing... I ordered some chicken with curry, and it was a little spice (not for me). Update---- I went for drinks on a Saturday night with a large group and they put us in a tall long table, perfect for the 14 of us. It was good, but again the service a little slow.

Overall good

By TAF8 |

Our waiter was borderline robotic - nice and pleasant - but more robot than human leaving an impression of insincerity. The food was very nice and served relatively quickly. We were with our picky toddler daughter and her needs were accomodated perfectly. Would visit again if we are in the area.

great pub

By globetrottergrub |

this is a great little pub. you feel like you are in London and the food is the like. Great options and great prices. The service is always great and atmosphere is always lively:)

Loved

By Pips08 |

This was our second trip to Seattle. We usually try something new every night. We went to Elephant and Castle twice. Great fish and chips! Shepards pie was delicious. Atmosphere was very relaxing and service top notch

Drinks

By Francisco G |

Nite out in the town. Stumbled upon this nice place and decided to get a drink. Good atmosphere and laid back environment. Drunk prices relative for the area.

Fun pub on St. Paddy's Day

By Diane N |

Walking back to the hotel, so this cute little hole in the wall. Went in and enjoyed some 1/2 price wine and homemade chips. A little warm for a middle aged women, but other than that, a great find!!

Good variety of foods

By BarryandJackie |

We tried the trio of pies, and frankly should have just picked one for maximum enjoyment and quantity. Big menu of burgers and sandwiches, and service was attentive.

What a pub should be.

By Frank B |

This pub had all the right elements. Good beer and wine choices, good wait staff and good pub dinner selections. I had chicken pot pie which came with a small salad - just the right amount. My wife had the yorkshire pudding with roast beef. Side of mash and roasted veggies. Filling. Too bad we weren't remaing a few more nights so we could try other choices. Recommend for a nice casual dinner with them not rushing to get you out. Other diners seemed to be enjoying their experience as well.

Not Great

By businesstraveler094 |

We were staying at a hotel nearby and love an English pub so gave this a try. Many beers and ciders on tap and the bartender was attentive & friendly. We ordered dinner, Caesar salad w/salmon for me, burger & salad for my husband. The salad was bland, looked like lettuce was cut from the core. Salmon was over-cooked. My husband said the burger was ok. All in all, a rather uninspiring dining experience.

Great Food and Staff!

By EntheendTravels |

We went here for a late family dinner on a Saturday night. I cannot say enough good things about it! The wait staff (espeically our waiter) was so friendly and kind. The food was delicious and the service was spectacular. We are from Portland and frequent Seattle a lot, so I think we will be back. They do have a parking garage that we missed that is really close, so make sure to look for it!

Lovely staff, great location

By Karen Y |

Looking for a great meal amid all the activities in Seattle? This is the place. We stopped in before an event at the Benaroya and it was amazing. Our server was lovely and gave some great suggestions. Nice blend of traditional pub-style food and specialty meals. We will most definitely come back!

Best ever sweet potato fries!

By CleopatraBunny |

We booked on Open table and arrived early (just in time for $5 share plates happy hour!) - no problem getting seated. People without reservations were turned away due to social distancing rules. Masks only for non-vaccinated guests. The sweet potato fries - my weakness - were the best I have ever had. Seriously. The order was shareable between 2 of us. We split the citrus chicken salad (I know, it's a pub, but it's HOT out) and it was just enough. Megan, our server, was terrific. As a pub, the atmosphere was loud with TVs and an active bar area. We finished with the Big Ben brownie but unlike the usual chewy American brownie I was expecting, it was cake-like. Still good but I'd get something else next time. Overall, a great meal!

Great for Pre 5th Ave Theater

By Bill M |

Elephant and Castle is one of our main dinner spots on theater nights. We've had many of the dishes, including fish and chips, shepherds pie, pot pie, and my favorite, the Yorkshire pudding. They're all good. I wish the pot and shepherds pies were about 25% larger, but they're probably right-portioned. The service is always good and you can get in and out easily inside an hour... or take two if you want! I recommend the place and it isn't very expensive, with most meals in the $14-16 neighborhood.

There won't be a second time

By Jack D |

Came here for dinner before the symphony as the menu has items we enjoy. The interior facade is a minor attempt to create the feel of a British pub and lacks any authenticity. The music was far too loud and stylistically inappropriate. We almost had to shout to be heard across a two person table. Too many pointless televisions. Noise is not atmosphere. Wait staff was prompt and appropriate and our drinks were good. Our meal was meh to WTF? Why is the top of my shepherd's pie burned one one half of the top and somewhat under done on the other? Plus, who thought it was a good idea to send it out this way? The side salad was the better part of the meal. It was a terribly disappointing meal.

Ehh... there is much better in Seattle

By lovetomovearound |

Stayed at the Motiff Hotel for a few nights recently and was really intrigued by the pub in front of the hotel. We decided to pop in for some fish and chips and a pint. My husband ordered the pineapple cider and it cane out cold, but stale. I had an iced tea and that was fine. Pre salads came out, as we were splitting the chips, and the lettuce was old and red. Not great. Main came out and it was hot but average. I expected a better experience being in Seattle, but what do you do. The vibe is good and it’s just gorgeous to sit out in that weather.

Wow! Just Wow!

By KatiKay |

Walked past this venue and felt the need to grab lunch here. What can I say? Waiter was polite and on top of everything. Menu was nothing out of the ordinary, but everything was amazing and fresh. Seriously my BLT was the best I ever had, didn't know BLT's could be in competition. Great prices and drinks, will definitely be coming back here when I'm in Seattle. Cheers.

Good food...great service

By sunshinestatedcs |

We ate at Elephant & Castle for lunch and enjoyed the food. Our waitress was great, very friendly and on top of things! Definitely a good low key spot!

There are so many good restaurants in Seattle and this isn’t one

By roxycape |

As a visitor, I try and seek out a local options to not only support the local businesses but to fully experience a destination’s food culture. I was not aware that this place was a chain, but that probably explains why my experience was not great. The food is totally bland and not very authentic. The masala was so tomato-y that it almost tasted like marinara. And the price...omg...$50 for two for lunch with zero alcohol is pretty steep. I know this is an expensive town but you can walk down to the market and get great food for equal or less.

Downtown Seattle restaurant with British style menu offerings

By Robert S |

This is a great place for a casual meal or a more formal one. I like the British offerings. We sat outside on a beautiful late afternoon and had a fun meal. The staff is friendly and helpful - no hurrying, no hovering. The entrance and outdoor seating is in a sunken area below street level, which I like. Recommended.

Average at best

By Edward_Lawton |

I’ve been walking past here all week and thought I’m a Brit let’s try some British Fayre !! I recently found out 1) it rains a lot in Seattle 2) Americans can’t cook British food. Pub was busy and the service was good after perusing the menu I went for the steak pie with a puff pastry lid !! No puff pastry in site ! Said served with salad !! Salad with steak pie 🤦‍♂️server said I could change for fries ! Which turned out to be poutine ! A Canadian dish ! Around the world on one plate ! The food was ok and nothing more than that !! The bread pudding however was very good and the Guinness was cold and on tap !! Winner !! When the bill came they charged me for the poutine !! But deducted nothing for the salad !! I think in all honesty you should stick to American food cause your chef as no concept of what English food is or how it’s made. I’ve give you 3 stars cause of your staff if it wasn’t for them you would have got a 1 !!! Won’t return !! Don’t recommend!! Sorry but you can’t claim to be an “English themed pub” and so it so wrong.

Best wait staff ever

By Sweetwater08 |

We arrived tired and hangry after our flight. The kitchen had just closed, but Shane B worked some magic and we got the fish and chips our hearts were set on. Waitress was terrific, too. Fish and chips were haddock and not as tasty as cod, but wonderful to us. We were staying at the Motif Hotel and returned for Chicken sliders at lunch. Again, good service and good food. After leaving a different restaurant because it was over priced, unappealing menu and wait staff never showed, we showed up again at the E&C. Shane was very knowledgeable, helped us choose great cocktails and gave us tourist tips. We love that place!

Just what I needed!

By Fe2O3ez |

Great atmosphere. Stopped in for a bite during the game and they were very accommodating about changing to my channel. Had the Bangers and Mash based on bartender recommendation and it was excellent! Just what I needed.

Poutine Before the Symphony

By Kittygal 🇺🇦 🌻 |

I dropped in to this pub, with a familiar name from my London days, for a quick bite before heading off to the Seattle Symphony. Had some delicious poutine and a nice dry cider. It's a busy, vibrant place popular with the downtown workers as well as visitors. Good to see the city coming back to normal!

Good, but overpriced

By TravelingBbusFun |

This place seems to specialize in British pub type bar food, and the food is decent. It is however overpriced. For example, it was more than $20 for a salmon club sandwich. Again, it was good, but if money isn't an object, sure.

Terrible food experience and weak service - much better choices than this

By Wattybo |

Friday night was not a good night for this pub. Service was weak and slow. It took forever to get our pub fare and when we did it was cold - c'mon man! You're a pub! Really disappointing. Finally, the server was rude at the end when the pub was closing. He would not let us finish our drinks and actually snatched a glass from one of our hands.

Cute Decor - Amazing Cheesecake

By Shiela H |

We were staying at the Crowne Pointe Hotel so we walked looking for a place to eat. The exterior was so cute, it drew us in. The menu was interesting with several entre's you would expect in an English pub. I ordered the Shepards Pie, very dry, but it did come with a little extra gravy on the side. The desert was amazing Bailey's infused cheesecake, slice was big enough for 2 to share. Our server really needs to be better trained.

nice english style pub

By gregp422 |

nice beer selection, nice location, nice décor, good food, waitstaff ok. I was there on a slow afternoon (Monday) so you think service would have been a bit better but overall it was a nice place and a nice experience. Nothing A+ but nothing a C either. Good solid choice for a pint and pub food.

Good food, great atmosphere and good service

By David N |

We had a wonderful dining experience here recently in the relaxed enjoyable atmosphere of this English reflective pub. The menu was fantastic and the food was excellent. The staff were also very friendly and the service reflected this. Will definitely return

This British Themed Pub Better Left in Britian

By 308brucew |

We stopped in for lunch and thought what better place to try fish and chips. To be fair, the service was spot on and friendly. The restaurant was clean and looked good. We decided to try the deep fried pickles which were good. A lot of batter and not much pickle, but still pretty tasty. We both ordered the fish and chips which were disappointing. The fish was decidedly so-so and a tad on the tough side. Fish should be flaky, this was chunky. The batter was simply overwhelming. Far too much and not great texture or taste. Both had an iced tea - lunch total was $52.00! Next time, we'll go to Ivar's

Very good late night dinner

By Larry10803 |

Had a late evening dinner while staying at the Seattle Sheraton, which is nearby. English pub type menu and atmosphere. We ate in the outside area since it was a very pleasant evening. Both food and our server were very good.

Lunch and Takeout Dinner

By moducks503 |

We were pleasantly surprised by this “underground” restaurant under our hotel (Motif). Food items were limited and simplistic but very tasty and reasonably priced. For lunch, I had the turkey wrap excellent with lots of turkey and bacon. I chose the house salad which had fresh field greens, sliced almonds, feta cheese, dried berries, and choice of dressing. My husband chose the full English breakfast - need I say more? He loved it! We had take out tonight and my husband said his fish and chips were very good. My Butter Chicken was great! Recommend eating here. They have a happy hour too.

Great place for a drink & a bite.

By TravelingDad_PTFC |

Stayed at the Motif Hotel for a conference & decided to have lunch here on the first day. Fantastic Butter Chicken Poutine & very reasonably priced for downtown Seattle! Came in again after the conference for a pint & played some darts & pool as well. Was very glad this place was attached to my hotel!

Worst bartender ever

By Paul |

Bartender intentionally slow. Waited for drink that never came. Bartender just kept cleaning and doing other tasks ignored customers.

Yummy

By Chris |

We ate here twice, the meals were large and filling. The food was good. Staff was very friendly and took their time with us. No pressure to dine and dash.

poor customer service

By ehsassociatesmn |

Poor customer service, management indifference to valid issues... One of the worst places I have ever been... ! would give the a "0" if I could

Check it out.

By HazeFam208 |

Good food, good drinks. The pot pie flight is nice but don't think it's filling for the average appetite. Our server and who happens to be bar tender was great. Thanks JB. We went twice, so I would say we enjoyed the place.

Yum!

By Robbie S |

The pretzel bites with the bacon-mustard cheese sauce was one of the best appetizers that I have had out! After that, I had a delicious piece of fish with poutine. Our server was awesome, the ambiance was awesome, and the soccer game was awesome.

Stopped for cocktails and football

By lynette_cypress |

We really enjoyed our stop. Great service and my martini was excellent. We watched som college football before moving on the meet friends for dinner. Based on the food that passed our table, I was really wishing we could stay there! Loved te cozy decor and friendly staff.

Good food and good service

By Kitcrazy |

We stopped by for a late Sunday evening dinner around 8 pm. Cammy (sp) was our waitress. The service was great. I had the Baja fish tacos and my wife had the curried chicken flatbread. The food was nice and was served quickly.

Good basic pub

By Pinecone-sw |

A god basic pub. A nice selection of mainly British beers on tap. Good pub food. Nice atmosphere. Overall, well done.

English Pub

By ehiner1 |

Had the Fish & Chips & Poutine & craft beers. 1 large fish & fries very filling. Poutine is fries with beef gravy & cheese curds. Both very tasty & satisfying. A few families sat away from the bar. Huge bar shows 2 TV screens with soccer & football. Excellent waitress.

Hours not as posted on website or Google

By Gizmo8800 |

Don't follow their website or Google about their open times. They say they are open until 12a but last call and kitchen closed at 11:20p Didn't get to get anything to eat or drink because we were turned away (somewhat politely) at the entrance.

Good English Pub Beer and Food

By John H |

This is an excellent English style pub with a varied beer list and good food. Haddock and chips was great; fresh and well cooked. Even had malt vinegar and (not needed on the fish) HP sauce. Chicken Pot Pie was a little weak. Could have had a thicker gravy and bigger chunks of meat. Fullers London Pride was excellent. There is both outside and inside seating available and the place is far larger that it first appears. Very busy when we arrived at 7pm on a Thursday but easy to get a table. Steep steps to get down to it’s basement location but I’m sure there must be an ADA entrance close by. Worth checking if needed.

Good food, nice atmosphere

By Pauline C |

Our group of seven dropped by mid-afternoon on our way back from the Space Needle. We enjoyed the food, libations on tap, and the setting--not too dark, but with character. The stairs down to the entrance were a bit tricky, but the courtyard area added to the charm. Would definitely recommend!

Pub Food, Nothing Special

By William S |

In a subterranean location below the Motif Hotel in Seattle. Pub food, nothing special. Probably goes off during Seahawks’ battles at Century Link. Average staff. Clean place and a very entertaining bartender who was affable, funny and efficient. Prices are moderate, but little creativity on the bill of fare. Nothing light was offered on the menu.

Mixed service, but overall enjoyable

By OnTravelsAgain |

We ate here once and had drinks on a second occasion, for the main reason that the weather was untypically nice for Seattle and we wanted outside seating. One one occasion, the service on the patio was dire, on the occasion we ate, it was good. Food was enjoyable and of a decent quality for pub grub.

A good find

By Gordon W |

Seems strange for an Englishman visiting America to choose an English themed pub for a beer. I am so glad that I did. My wife and I together with two friends found the Elephant and Castle by mistake after getting slightly lost. The staff were, without exception, very friendly and cheerful. The service was very prompt and the prices for a city establishment fair. We didn’t eat at the E&C, but we saw food being served and it was nicely presented and the portions were huge. I’m confident that you won’t be disappointed if you visit this pub. There are various offers available during ‘Happy Hour’ dependent upon the day of the week.

Nice place, nice service, authentic British food

By Sungron |

This is a pleasant place with efficient and cheerful service that sets the stage for a pleasant experience. The imperial pint of IPA I had was fantastic. The menu leans toward British dishes that are authentic British recipes and totally British bland. My wife had a London steak and cheese sandwich that I tasted and enjoyed, although it wouldn't cut the ice in Philly. My fish and chips were totally flavorless so I opted not to finish them. A friend ordered the steak salad that she pronounced bland. I rescued my chips a bit with liberal doses of vinegar and tabasco. Bottom line- British cuisine just doesn't cut it with people who have taste buds. The restaurant, itself, is attractive and staffed by some outstanding ladies.

Great place to watch games

By BeachStone2C |

Good English style pub. High quality TVs all around the restaurant, you can see a screen no matter where you sit. I also had lunch salad in here, it was surprisingly good actually. Tables outside too. Good friendly service.

Styled as an English Pub

By Tom M |

The service was terribly disappointing. We saw two tables leave because it took so long for the waiter to arrive to take an order. To give them somewhat of a break, this was following a 5:30 Seahawks game, but it just wasn't that crowded. The food was average, but at least came out on time. Perhaps it is a good place to go drink since there was more activity there.

Friendly and appetizing

By matdj |

Chill and nice. Friendly and efficient team. Appetizing choice well served. There's something for everyone Music not too loud and that's good despite all those TVs on different channels.

British atmosphere you won’t want to miss.

By TheCarat |

Atmosphere with delicious authentic British Pub Faire. The meat pies do not disappoint. Beverage choices are plenty. Service and hospitality are on point.

Good location with average food

By guru4travel |

This E&C is in the lower level of the Motif Hotel so very convenient for that pint when you arrive after travelling. Nice open air patio. Good selection of draft beers. Food however was average. We had bangers and mash, and chicken wings. Nothing special but hit the spot for a quick late night bite

Good food and great service.

By rdhfn |

We had lunch here. Good food, nice staff and quick service in relaxed atmosphere. Located right under the Motif Hotel.

By LauraWinyu |

very handy for us staying at the Motif , great drinks and very reasonable. outside tables and massive inside

Dinner in Pike area

By cdog612 |

This is a nice place in the center of the Pike neighborhood offering indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is British fare but our family found entrees everyone could enjoy. Open Table accepts reservations.

Authentic English food

By Ralph K |

Real 20 oz pints of beer and real English food. If you are not familiar with what the British definition of "roast beef" is then avoid this part of the menu. They have truly outstanding putine even though this is a Canadian dish. Even have stuff with Peri-Peri sauce if you are missing Nandos.

Very good food, fish and chips

By spitfirem2015 |

Very good food, fish and chips was great. The fish was huge. Husband had a Ruben said it was great as well.

Great food and pub

By Travis W |

In town for a few days, discovered this place by chance and it was totally amazing. Absolutely great food, fantastic staff and excellent drinks for everyone. If your in Seattle this place is a must for drinks and food.

Very good fish and chips

By Paul L |

The fish and chips were huge. The steak and mushroom pie was very good. The Brussels sprouts were really good too. We would be back if local.

Nice atmosphere for a quick drink and wings

By Chewy |

Visited with work colleagues for a drink after work. British theme pub in centre of Seattle. A step down off the main road to a huge premises with pool room, tv screens, eating area and outdoor seating. Great sports pub. Clean and staff were friendly. Good selection of food on menu, all the normal US sports bar food, wings, fries, nachos etc Three bud lights and some chicken wings cost £29 to give you an idea of prices. This was also at happy hour. Popular with locals. Visited late afternoon. As we were leaving around 5.30pm it was starting to get really busy. Standard city bar.
