Met some friends here for dinner Saturday night, I had not been here in several years. Started with a drink in the bar area, they were very accommodating with putting us at a highboy so that the 4 of us could talk easily. Our friends seemed to enjoy their martins, which is something they are known for. My husband and I are wine drinkers, him red, me white, and we did not really see anything on the wine list that appealed to us. Even though there are plenty of choices for wines by the glass, they were all pretty low-end. Kind of surprising for a steak place. For dinner, I had the chopped salad with grilled shrimp and it was great. I would get the grilled shrimp on anything, they were fabulous. My husband, on the other hand got the chicken Marsala. The sauce and the mushrooms both tasted like they had come out of a can. Disappointing. This place has a nice, neighborhood feel and really nice, helpful staff, I just think the food could be better.

Food we ordered was very tasty , ( salmon, pork chops, New York steak, Filet Mignon, Pasta) except for a little bit raw on the asparagus( it should be blanch if you served it as a whole, so it’s tender). Food should served together. I guess server should served it all together as it should be. There’s are things can be improved like serving right plate for appetizer. Garlic dressing very bland. I rather have regular dressing. Lastly, maybe improve the looks of the restroom, flowers are so dusty, and have a better hand soap. Overall, will recommend and will come back.

Was looking for a restaurant close to my hotel as i was visiting Chicago for my birthday. A central location that was a great meeting place for me and family to celebrate. Free valet parking is always a plus!!! Nice ambiance, quick service. Our table tried new items that we had never chosen before. I tried the Garlic Shrimp and stuffed salmon. Very light, tasty, a cream sauce that just puts it over the edge. Nice wine selection, and even surprised me with birthday tiramisu. Nice selection on the North side.

My husband and I travel the world and eat out quite often in greater Chicago, but Elliott's is our favorite restaurant. The cozy ambience, the accommodating and knowledgable service, and the delicious food keep us coming back, time and again. We heartily recommend the sea bass, lamb, steaks, veal, house salad, parmesan potatoes, and chocolate tartufo. Elliott's is in the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago, a short drive/cab ride from O'Hare. You'll need a reservation on the weekends, because the locals all know about Chicago's best-kept dining secret!

Amazing food, great location in festive Downtown Edison Park, great atmosphere. Very expensive though.

We had a wonderful meal. Our part had salmon, top notch. The filet was very tasteful and melted in you mouth. Even the pasta was super! Quiet dining nice wine list and good drinks. Very nice ambience

This is a little gem of a find. The menu has great variety and the lobster bisque is amazing. The filet was cooked to perfection. The waiter was outstanding and I will return here again. Great valet parking is available but I parked on the street.

Elliott's is located in an area where there are several restaurant choices, but Elliott's is the one for fine dining at a neighborhood place. When you first walk in, there is a large bar with friendly bartenders, where you might have to spend a little time, if you didn't make a reservation. The interior is warm and elegant. The service was very friendly and efficient. I tried the lobster bisque, which I thought was one of the best - very rich and creamy. I also had the filet mignon which was done perfectly. They have a choice of four different toppings for your steaks, and I'd highly recommend any of them - I opted for the blue cheese. We did exchange tastes and they are equally good. I ordered a side of garlic mashed potatoes and it more than met my expectations. The warm bread that is brought to the table is great. This is a top notch restaurant with an extraordinary selection of food and a great staff - in the neighborhood..

To start, this was our second visit to Elliott's and there will be many many more!!! When walking in the door advising that we had a reservation, but we were early, we were escorted to a table in the bar. Then from there onward, everyone remembered our name and to say the least, we felt at home and important. Their selection of Appetizer's and Entrees are excellent only out done by the quality, presentation, etc. of their food. Well, I don't usually have desert, but we shared their apple pie with ice cream. They make their own pie and it was outstanding!!! The only negative thing that I can say is tonight Sunday, I know that my dinner will not be anywhere as Great as last night, but then again, I am not going to be eating at Elliott's tonight! My loss!

It has actually become quite rare to find a restaurant where the excellent food is exceeded by the service personnel, but Elliott's is one of those places. Wonderful, diverse and eclectic menu. Superb food quality in both freshness and preparation. Outstanding staff---from greeter/seater to waitstaff to busser to (free) valet, for gosh sakes! I cannot wait to get back!

Quiet, elegant, and delicious! Party of five talking business. Great food, great service, great price!

This is our favorite place locally for steaks. Plus my wife loves their seafood, So, you should be able to make most people happy.

I took my wife here for her birthday and could not have been happier with the food & service. My wife had the Filet and I had the chilean seabass. Both were excellent. My wife does not like fish and LOVED my dinner! 10/10 will be back!

High quality food. Had dinner here over Memorial Day. Prices were fair, had a good selection of both seafood and steaks.House salad comes with all entres and it is large. Nice wine list too with a friendly bartender.

Elliott's is like going back to an old supper club and is fabulous in every way. The food is superb, the service is great and I love the atmosphere! Our server (Colleen) took such good care of our group (10 lively people for a company holiday dinner)! I can't talk enough about how good the food was. There is a very small bar in the front, but they had a good selection of wine and liquor. A little out of the mainstream in Edison Park, but there is a Metra stop just moments away and Edison Park in itself is a charming little Chicago neighborhood.

Food is good but not the service. Watch out for Rich. He wil try to seel you on everything on the menu, more drinks than you need and then over charge you a few bucks here and there hoping you won't catch it. What a crooked thing to do...

Seem like the name of this place is fancier than its food have received food there Luke warm may be ok for sushi not steak just so so resturaunt

We made a reservation for a early , 2hour, special ...it's a fixed price $55.00. You select appetizer and entree. Compl Champagne,Giant Shrimp Cocktail, world's best filet. great service, pleasant visit. They also have a stuffed Salmon on the regular menu that is outstanding..having that tonight..reservation recommended, free valet parking, good prices on wine.

Great steaks fresh seafood, Good service and great cocktails. Ribs are very meaty .... love the garbage salad

Went there for a birthday, the whole meal was worth 5 stars, the dressing on the salad, the New York Strip Steak, the best. It was so worth the extra calories. Will definitely go back soon.

quaint and charming bar and bartenders, decent choices at the bar and the food is really very good. enjoyed the big hunk of meat... delicious and the tomato and onion salad was really special... better than most. cozy, warm and inviting. oh... and right in the neighborhood. doesn't get better than that.

This Stuffed Salmon is beyond great..We usually have the filet that we think is as good or better than any other steak house in Chicago. Last night we had Stuffed Salmon, stuffed with red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, romano cheese & rocotta, then baked with white wine. We had it before and it is consistantly outstanding. Add a bottle of their house Chardonnay at only $24.00. This is a dinner fit for a king, delious is an understatment..try it let me hear you cheer. Pleasant prompt service, Complimentry Valet parking. Great night

Let me sum up our last visit - we were asked to close our check and leave our table because they needed the table for another party - NOTE, there were other tables available, we were a party of 6 who were ordered apps, drinks (lots of drinks), dinners, and dessert. So, we WON'T be back EVER. Not only that (and it was the owner himself who asked us), the prices are way to high for a local restaurant. We won't be back.

Great food and great experience. The steak and grouper were amazing . The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was classic.

An excellent and pricey steakhouse tucked away in Edison park. Great food, good variety of choices. Wonderful service

This restaurant has the best marsala sauce you will ever have. The chicken marsala is the best, and they even offer a variety of steaks with marsala. The salad dressing is house made, and is great. The french onion soup is baked in a crock with perfect melted cheese. Friendly service and great atmosphere.

I highly recommend Elliott's. (to correct the TripAdvisor category for Elliott's - this is a seafood AND chop house restaurant - not simply Italian seafood). We had friends meeting for dinner from various areas around Chicago and wanted something central, but did NOT want to go to any of the sub-par, group/chain-owned places in Rosemont. Elliott's hit the spot in many ways - including local family owned. As other reviews stated, the food was prepared perfectly. We had grilled calamari for an appetizer - perfectly prepared and how one would expect from high end place. The salads were very good and fresh. My wife and I split a 22 oz bone-in prime rib - perfect. Other dishes and sides at our table included the sea bass, NY strip, shrimp, caramelized onions and baked potato. There was nothing left on the table. Everybody enjoyed their meal. The ambiance was what one would expect with a nice seafood and chop house, but not pretentious. Service was excellent. Everything was served as requested, promptly and friendly. Great night out with friends and date place.

My wife and I went to Elliott's last night for the first time. We walked out quite pleased with our experience. Elliott's is a long-time family restaurant, and you can tell that the staff take pride in their work. Prices are a bit on the steep side, but you get what you pay for - the steaks are aged 21 days. My wife had the salmon, and I had the bone-in prime rib chop. I wasn't sure I was going to order that - at 22 oz., that's a slab o' beef - but I ordered it in great part because our waiter *sold* it to me (another lost art in customer service). He didn't steer me wrong, and we both enjoyed our meals. If there is a setback, it's that the salad was a bit lacking in variety. I would have liked a little more than just lettuce and cucumbers, but that's a small complaint and wouldn't keep me from returning. We're glad we found Elliott's, and we recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality steak and seafood restaurant on Chicago's northwest side.

Our meals were just fantastic - the veal limone on a bed of spinach and artichokes was something unique and very tasty. So was the creamy chicken alfredo with asparagus and roast potatoes and the generous and tender filet. Our server was very attentive and we felt like family. Loved the lobster bisque and the fresh strawberries amaretto for dessert. Quiet, comfortable and affordable dining.

If you are looking for a place for traditional Italian chop house and seafood standbys surrounded by well appointed updated decor and superior friendly service this is your place. I had a veal Marsala that was tender, tasty and well prepared. The garlic shrimp appetizer was flavorful and fresh. Prices ranged from $20-$40 per entree...that comes with a salad. Sides are extra. The house salad was fresh, crisp and comes recommended with the homemade citrus vinegarete that was very good.

Being from the suburbs we don't make our way into the Edison Park neighborhood often, but we will now! Elliott's was a delightful place for dinner with a neighborhood atmosphere and a downtown quality. We had the Spinach Artichoke Fondue to start and enjoyed each taste. I had the stuffed Atlantic Salmon, which may not have been great for the diet, but was flavorful and delicious for our anniversary dinner. My wife had the tilapia and my father in law and his partner split a New York Strip and everyone enjoyed the meal. Prices were more than reasonable for the good service and quality of the food.

My 93 year old Mother loves the Onion Bread that is in the Bread Basket. The food and service is the only thing that is better. The fish dishes are loved by my wife, especially the sea bass. I prefer the veal dishes. Since my Mom needs a walker, they always put us at a table that is convenient for her. They are thoughtful and even gave her a whole loaf of Onion Bread to take away with her.

This is my favorite rest for a NY Strip. Traditional dinner club menu. Food is great and prices are very reasonable

I stopped in here with a group of four on a Friday night. The initial man who greeted us was very accommodating. He gave us a high-top to sit and have drinks/appetizers while we waited for our table. Once seated, the server took our orders quickly. He wasn't seen again until the food arrived to offer drink refills so we sat most of the time with empty glasses. We had asked to have separate checks however the server split it equally into three. My colleagues had several alcoholic drinks and I didn't so their bill was naturally supposed to be higher. We mentioned this to the server and he said he would have to go back into the system and do it all over again which seemed to present a problem for him. We just went ahead with the bill as it was and decided to have the other guys pay my portion of the tip. I wrote "included in other check" on the tip line and signed for the amount billed. When I got my cc statement I was surprised to see an additional $12 dollars had been added to my bill. There was no "gratuity included" notice btw. The food itself was great, I had bruschetta and ribs and they were both wonderful. The steak fries were dry and tasteless so would not recommend.

Old fashion decor, warm and inviting. Food is good with a variety of classic dishes. Always have an interesting and delicious Daily Special. Wine list is well mixed both in terms of varieties and vintages as well as price point.Service is outstanding. Servers know their menus and have not been shy in making recommendations when asked. Free valet parking is a nice perk.

Took the family out for my mom's birthday after reading some good reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Not much to look at from the outside but the interior has an old school steakhouse feel without being dated with beautiful wood decor that's warm and inviting. Staff was very friendly and accommodating (we had a couple picky eaters with us). Food was very tasty: lobster bisque was fresh and well seasoned, my dad loved the ribs, and the stuffed salmon was spot on. Perhaps the best part was the ambiance. The restaurant was full and energetic and yet not obnoxiously loud; we could actually have a comfortable conversation. A little on the pricier side but would definitely go back for a special occasion.

Had a very nice business dinner here. Great service and even better food. All around great experience.

Dark furniture and a very nice location. Had warm bread on the table with butter very fresh. Free valet parking. We had sautéed Mahi-Mahi and also Stuffed Atlantic Salomon very good and so fresh. We also had a side of house salad, sautéed mushrooms and fresh asparagus with hollandaise sauce which is out side a la carte. Didn't make it for the dessert we were extremely full. Very friendly people. We tipped well.

This is our go-to place when we want an excellent steak or seafood dinner. It's a small neighborhood restaurant with a lot of charm and great service in addition to the great food. Prices are very good for the quality and portions of the food. My favorites on the menu are the Prime Rib Chop, which is a bone-in ribeye, the Italian Pork Chops, and the Chilean Sea Bass. Love this place!!

Immediately greeted, had a seat at the bar to watch the action. Nice wine selection, the bread is quite nice. House salad with house citrus oil salad dressing, mmmmm. Had the grouper, without a doubt some of the best I've ever enjoyed, lemon sauce with capers! Topped off meal with lemon cello. Say hello to Alex who runs the place kind and humble.

My wife and I visited Elliott's in the Edison Park neighborhood for the first time and were very impressed. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing and the food was excellant. The service was to the calibur one should expect at such an establishment. Our server Nick was very helpful and guided us to excellant menu choices we may not have selected if we had stayed with our usual selections.

Found this place about 5 years ago.If you don't know it's there, you can drive right past. Steaks, seafood etc. are high quality and all are prepared correctly. Entree comes with salad and standard dressings. Service is good and meets expectations. Quiet, mostly locals at the small bar area. Steaks are moderately priced considering the inflation today. Pricing is better than the big name joints. We will be back soon.

Growing up in Skokie I passed by the old Elliott’s Log Cabin many times but never stopped in and that was a mistake. This Elliott’s is owned by the son who was a year younger than me and went to Niles West his first year. He continues the family tradition of good food at fair prices.

We had to stay in Rosemont which is about 10 minutes away to catch a flight and this place was recommended to us for dinner. It doesn't look like much from the outside but what it offers on the inside is great! They have free valet parking as it is located on a small town main street. We were greeted right away and seated in a fine dining place. Service was excellent and the inside as been around a long time as the place had so much character with original detail and classic wood charm throughout. Service was good and before you get an appetizer like we did, you get a huge bread basket to start. We had bruchetta for appetizer which was amazing and I had the pork chops and my husband a steak. Our whole meal tasted so good!! They have a full bar service. We ordered soft drinks and found out after that you do not get free refills which surprised us as we were charged for each refill and not informed of this. Priced more then an Outback but cheaper then a Morton's. If ever back in the area, I would go again! Family owned and found out all the workers have been working for the owner for 10-20 years. Treats his employees good and it shows!

My husband and I have brought our children here for years, and although you won’t find a children’s menu, the staff at Elliott’s has always made anything that they have asked for. My husband and I almost always get the NY Strip- cooked to perfection! It truly looks like a small roast. We were celebrating my husband’s 46th birthday this evening, and he went a little heavy on the appetizers. Although I have brought leftover New York Strip home before, and had it at work the next day as leftovers and it’s GREAT, I wanted to try something different. I’ve always wanted to try the Chilean Sea Bass, and that was the reason we started coming here in the first place (it was on the online menu) I’ve never actually tried it. I was going to get it tonight, but I was in a salmon mood and got it stuffed. It was very good, my husband polished off his NY Strip effortlessly, our daughter had her usual buttered Penne pasta and our son had the King Crab appetizer with a side salad. It was delicious and everyone was happy. Our waiter, who has served us more than once and has always been fabulous overheard me mention that it was Hubby’s B-day and he brought him an ice cream dessert in a Martini glass which was a great surprise! I also wanted to mention that we came for another special event, in February of 2016. It was exactly a year since my husband had been diagnosed with Stage III Colorectal Cancer, and he was declared cancer free. And the only place he wanted to go to celebrate was Elliott’s ❤️. That night they served us another amazing meal that was very much like this evening. The only exception was that I had a NY Strip that night, cooked to perfection at medium rare! We will continue to support Elliott’s for years to come!

Nice small family owned neighborhood Steak House restaurant. Also serves seafood. Excellent atmosphere and service. I can't say anything bad about them.

Stumbled upon this little gem. The seafood was amazing and the martinis were equally good. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was oh so cozy. Will definitely go back!

Two outstanding dishes : Stuffed Atlantic Salmon, stuffed with roasted red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, romano and rocotta, then baked with a white wine. The other favorite is The Filet Mignon perfect medium rare every time...entrees served with a house dressing that is a family secret...better than excellent, you can take some home. We went for the 5pm early seating on New Years Eve with a fix price menu..started with Giant Shrimp (maybe 8 to a lb) cocktail..One of our favorite restaurants. Service and prices ar very good..try it once and get hooked. Free courteous valet parking.

If you’re in the mood for a low lit ambiance set in a classy 1950’s supper club style - this is your place. Have a drink at the bar as you wait for your table. The host knows the rhythm of his restaurant so once you check in you’re in very good hands. Relax, take in the vibey atmosphere. The table side service is outstanding so continue to enjoy. Now, the food. Steaks, seafood, veal, and all the appetizers you’d expect - calamari, crab cakes, lobster bisque, huge onion. rings. I always judge a meal by the first bite of the salad. We had caesars and they were probably the best I’ve ever experienced. My 12 ounce fillet was seared and perfectly darkened on the outside and cooked to perfection medium rare. Chef offers blue to well. My husband ordered fillet medallions with a unique risotto with carrots and au jus (!). It worked. We’re not dessert eaters but the tiramisu is homemade here. Ask for the table by the fireplace. They don’t need this review and I hesitate to shout it out because they have a long established clientele and a crowd of younger fans too. Make a reservation. Perfect for the holidays for small and larger parties.

The onion bread is superb and the food just gets better and better. You cannot go wrong here and so many other Restaurants close by.

This was oiur favorite neighborhood restaurant. We went there for almost all of our special occasions. This past weekend I was there with a group of 12 to have dinner for my 40th birthday. Food was wonderful as usual. When the group was singing happy birthday they became aware of an unwanted guest crawling on the dining room wall near my head. A friend in our group quietly stood up and grabbed the large cockroach with a napkin as a staff member simultaneously took the napkin from her. But then there was silence; no mention of the incident that was quietly dealt with in a crowded dining room. No apology from staff or owner. The roach catching friend appraoched the staff and was told 'we will take off some appetizers off your bill' As we left an employee inquired how our dinner party was, when enlightened about the large cockroach removed in the dining room he said, 'yeah, he's working on it' Again, no apology or damage control. We have left multiple messages for the owner to discuss how poorly this incident was handled, but no calls have been returned in 5 days. Sadly; we will never return here to dine and I suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Wife and I both ordered the special for the day, a fish trio (grouper, salmon, & sea bass) over saffron rice and spinach. Fish portion were small, sauce over it was bland, and had many bones in the sea bass. Prices across the menu are quite high. Was rally disappointed when we received the bill and found a surcharge in excess of 6% for using a credit card. Would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Not going back again.

I've driven by Elliotts's for many years up and down Northwest Highway in Chicago's Edison Park, not more than 15 minutes from O'Hare Field. I never looked twice because the exterior is very ordinary, almost drab and surrounded by the usual suspects: bars, hot dog stands and coffee shops that populate this stretch of Restaurant Row on the northwest side. What a mistake that was! Entering Elliott's is a bit like Alice turning up in Wonderland...a long way from Kansas, a long way from the ordinary! The decor is very rich in wood, carpets, white table clothes, a brick wall and plenty of very old and beautifully framed pictures of the Elliott family. But the real story here is the food. Everything we had was exquisite from French Onion soup and Caesar Salad to a perfectly cooked Filet and excellent Lamb Chops, all topped off with a great dessert list. Though there is also a 12 oz. filet on the menu, my 8 oz. filet was plenty to feed this grown man! It was so tender that a knife was nearly unnecessary. For those looking away from meat dishes, there is also a good selection of seafood and some pasta dishes as well. Service was very good, on the informal side much to our enjoyment. The wine list is not large but more than adequate, as is the beer list, though there are no draft beers. Tables are spaced far enough apart in two dining rooms that crowding is not a problem. Noise is not a worry either with the carpet absorbing sound effectively. The bar area contains a number of hi-top tables as well. Parking on the street is plentiful, and free on Sunday. Elliott's is a real gem. My only fear is that if the word gets out, it will be harder to get a table!

Have not been here in a while, but when we do go we have a great meal usually with friends! Casual and fun place to go!!!!

You wouldn't know it was there unless you were specifically looking for it. Definitely go look for it! From start to finish, the food is excellent, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and the price is reasonable for an evening out of fine dining. The house dressing for the salad is a taste treat. The grilled calamari is not to be missed. The veal marsala is the best I have ever had, and it is even better the second day as a leftover (if you even have a leftover to take home). The sides are ample for more than one person, so sharing is perfect. And there is valet parking. What are you waiting for? Make a reservation now.

Inflation Inflation Inflation! Loved this restaurant for years. Service, quality, atmosphere are so special. However i wasn't expecting to see the prices on the menu jump $6.00 -$13.00 a dish. (Prime rib from $45.00 to $58.00) think this may become my special occasion and not just a good food night place to dine.

My new place to go since Rosewood closed. Great steakhouse and great fish. You can do fine dining or have a wonderful hamburger or filet sandwich. Service was great and bartenders are very good. Would recommend all the time

Visited there with my uncle and aunt for dinner. I had rack of lamb which was delicious. Others choice of food was not that great.

The people are very accommodating for a large party. The sea bass and pork chops were enjoyed. The Lobster Bisque soup is a perennial favorite at our table--very large chunks of lobster! They have valet service which makes coming there easy, even when it takes 3 cars to get the whole party together. They need to expand their single malt Scotch selections....
Good, Old School Restaurant
My wife and I dined at Elliot's, on Saturday night. We really enjoyed our experience. It is a quaint restaurant, with a nice bar and a dozen, or so, tables. Very Cozy. Our waiter, Adi, was prompt to our table after being seated, to take our drink order. We had very good service, throughout our meal. We started with the spinach-artichoke fondue, delicious! Its enough for 4 people. The steaks were excellent, NY strip and bone-in ribeye. Cooked perfectly. Had a side of mushrooms and whipped potatoes, both excellent. Diner and service was excellent. We will return.
