I checked in and didn’t feel like leaving the hotel so I ate at casket and kitchen. It Has two parts; a bar side and a restaurant side. The bar was busy and the bartender was waiting on bar patrons and table customers including some sitting outdoors. Unfortunately, she had some friends in and spent an inordinate amount of time attending to them. The food was good, although the menu is limited. The portions are large. There is a very good selection of bourbon and some wine and beer. The wine was not terribly warm like most hotel restaurants. I thought the Prices were a little high.

Atmosphere, staff, and food are all excellent. And ... oh ... this is connected to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel. Don’t let that dissuade you! Morning coffee at its best- freshly ground and made just for you. Perfect! Lunch and dinner menu are the same. Food is excellent either way. Cooked well, fresh, and seasoned nicely. Hush puppies, Mac and cheese, garden salad ... doesn’t matter because they are all delicious. The grilled shrimp on the salad were cooked perfectly. Okay - the Brussels were undercooked ... but let’s face it, that doesn’t deserve a reduced star. I’m not quick to rate restaurants 5 stars, but this place is really a nice surprise at the hotel. And I would come here even if not staying at the hotel! Enjoy!

An affordable and a nice food spot in downtown. The place looks rustic and has a nice aesthetic. We went in there for brunch and it was decently busy. The only thing is we had to wait a long time until a server asked us if anyone had taken our order, and they rarely checked on us throughout. The food overall was great. We had a bbq omelet and a tomato Benedict. It wasn’t too greasy or too light, and kept us full. The orange mimosa was fresh delicious as well.

What a fun work dinner! Diana hosted us and she was THE BEST. She was attentive, accommodating, and seriously the funniest! Go wine and dine and enjoy, dears!

A fairly unassuming place with the entrance off an arcade rather than the street. We are seated quickly but service is a little slow. The orange and tomato juices are fresh. The Peach Granola French Toast was lovely as was the waffles. Reasonably priced if not cheap.

Good service mediocre food poor wine list. They also had lots of fruit flys. Wine list was very small

Great restaurant & right inside our hotel. Service with a smile & very tasty food choices. Ana, our server was friendly & helpful with all our questions. She took the time to really make our dining experience memorable. Thanks Ana!

Cask & Kitchen is a hidden gem in downtown Dallas. We are visiting from California and enjoyed the fine crafted cocktails including the whisky sour and smokey old fashioned. The appetizers were amazing, particularly the fried green tomatoes and texas chili. The service was great too, our server Mohit was super nice and never rushed us. Two thumbs up.

Service was excellent. Food was awesome. Andres was our server all weekend. Nicest, friendliest server ever. And impressive he remembered my name and called me by name every time.

The pictures online look great. But once here you see that it just is not quite there. You also see that it is connected to the Hilton Garden Inn. Nothing against the HGI but, not what I was looking for in my dinner choice. Not great not bad, a very average dinner.

I visited Elm Street Cask & Kitchen last week with a friend & this is without a shadow of a doubt, your neighborhood restaurant. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff & that sweet smell of southern-inspired food that pervaded the air. Despite the restaurant filling up quickly & getting busy, there was a constant air of order & structure. Not once did we feel neglected as the efficient staff went above & beyond the call of duty to ensure our comfort. We shared the Crispy Chicken Wings & Pimento Cheese Dip & they were both absolutely amazing. From the presentation to the plating to the taste. Needless to say, we were drawn into the full experience of dining & what we now consider to be, one of the most outstanding restaurants in Dallas, Texas. We will most definitely be returning in the near future.

We enjoyed an excellent evening at Cask & Kitchen on Elm Street. The food and service were excellent! Our compliments to Bryan and Barry!

Steps away from the sights and sounds of downtown Dallas, exist a spot you might want to check out; that is if you’re looking to enjoy a friendly restaurant with inviting charm where you can people watch, while sipping on wine, beer or an assortment of Whiskeys and Bourbons that rival many bars in town, and you don’t have to break the bank, unless you want to. Elm Street Cask and Kitchen’s assortment of seating, accommodates groups of all sizes; from the airy bar, to booth and patio seating, and a semi-private loft area, for those who desire something a bit more intimate, or even enjoy a tasting or two. Your dining experience can range from a hearty Brunch, to Happy Hour specials, or premium cuts of meat. If you find yourself in the downtown area, and want to experience something a little different, give Elm Street Cask and Kitchen a try. Parking can be a bit tricky, but they’re located in the Hilton Garden Inn, so use their address and you’ll arrive with no problem. XOXO LORENZO!

Great staff, good coffee, good menu and ambience on a weekday. I recommend the homestead Great seating and staff. Will come again

Sat at the bar and were served by different servers, attentive then not so. Ordered 2 drinks then the chilli dog as part of their happy hour special. The dog was fabulous and the rosemary fries superb. I ordered a second cider whilst my husband ate, then he ordered a second after finishing his food. When the bill came they'd charged for 3 beers and 2 ciders. The server immediately asked if we 'had a problem with the bill' as I was pointing to the quantity on the receipt to my husband. I explained and immediately she sternly said that it was correct, that her colleague had served the first then she the second and I was taken aback at her forcefulness so immediately capitulated. She repeated her assertion, a little unnecessarily in my opinion. We had only been there for 40 minutes tops (due to the happy hour times) and whilst I could possibly have downed 2 pints in that time, 3 is pushing it for my husband to achieve whilst also filling up on an American sized chilli dog and chips. We paid. We even gave a nominal tip. So bloody British! Oh. And there was no wifi. There were flies all around the bar though. Shame.

This place was great. We went out with a group of 12 and Barry the food manager and Bryan the executive chef did it right. Food was great and great service with an awesome atmosphere

Wife and I had dinner there. She had tacos, I chose the salad with salmon (main dish, no side). The servings were too small. We went out being still hungry. I paid 26 dollar for my plate and can expect to get a full portion therefore.... Need to mention, we're no large people. Just regular people with regular hunger. The taste was good. The salad was made with cheese and walnuts, the salmon grilled very well. So no complaints to that. The service was also nice.

My husband and I were in town for a conference and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn where the Cask & Kitchen is located. We stopped in for cocktails at the bar, which is known for its bourbon selection. Jenny made me a Kentucky Buck that was out of this world, which is especially high praise since I am not typically a bourbon girl. Will definitely return! Also, the manager Barry stopped by and made us feel exceptionally welcome. Can't wait to try the food!

Recently ate breakfast at this location while staying in the Hilton Garden Inn.. I am not a breakfast person, but my husband is.. We ate breakfast both mornings, the almond ricotta pancakes were outstanding.. The service was fast, efficient, waiters were friendly.. Their menu for lunch and dinner didn't seem to have many options, but breakfast was really good.

Shawn and Mel were awesome! They treated us like we were old friends and made sure we were 100% happy. Highly recommend such personal staff with excellent food and drinks!

CASK AND KITCHEN RESTAURANT is located within the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and LTV Tower Apartments. You may access entrance to the restaurant which faces Elm Street .. Cask and kitchen has become one of our very dear and favorite restaurants here in downtown Dallas.Their food is simply delicious, not to mention their attentive and personalized service starting with their master chefs, Ben and Eddie, whom masterfully create original and unique meals from the American cuisin as well as ;Barry, the restaurant manager, and all his friendly staff who take good care of the customers. On Thursday afternoons, you can stop by for happy hour drinks, delicious appetizers, and listen to their varied live musical entertainers. Today, Veteran's Day, we visited for a late lunch. To begin, we ordered "Poutine," as an appetizer, and it was simply "yummy!" I highly recommend it, apart from the fact that two adults can share it. My husband ordered the pork chop plate ,and I ordered the chicken crusted steak including the side dishes that came with with our meals. Both were mouth watering and very tasty. For dessert we had praline ice cream and pecan pie .If you happen to be staying at one of the hotels on Elm, Main , or Commerce streets, living or working in downtown Dallas, this is a gem of a restaurant for you to visit. So, remember to give yourselves permission and visit this restaurant.I forgot to mention that this restaurant has an adjacent bar that specializes in whiskeys apart from other liquors, beers, and wines. The restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a covered terrace for eating outdoors, weather permitting. In addition, they have a special activity room which canbe reserved for special events or parties. So, remember , this is a very special place to have any of your meals, any day of the week .Also, if you are a "Hilton Honor Member"and you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, you will receive 500 points for each visit to the restaurant when you spend $25.00 or more. The restaurant menu changes every so often to complement the four seasons...".Enjoy the food," "Bon Appetit, " "Buen Provecho, and " Buon Appetito." Sincerely, Caroline

They recently got a new Executive Chef From. He is a genius at planning menu items that taste great, but you would have never thought to put together. Barry the manager came over to our table to make sure everything was perfect. Our server was Fernado. He did an excellent balancing act of meeting the needs of our large group of twelve.

The atmosphere is decent. Nothing too fancy, but not run down. Excessive fruit flies during my lunch visit, but the food was, okay. The menus need to be more diverse.0

The food is absolutely delicious!!! Johnathon was an amazing server!!! 10 out of 10!! The hot honey chicken sandwich was sooooo good!

Barry is simply amazing! His has the kind of service and hospitality that anyone would appreciate. If there is an issue he will notice it before you would have to say anything. The ambiance is amazing, the food is to die for and the service is unheard of! I do a lot of traveling and this is the best short rib I have ever had! Ill be back for the live music on Thursday 6-8pm. You don't want to miss it!! I am also going back in the morning for breakfast😁 Barry, it is Demetry, Simone, and MJ - Thanks for everything and we really appreciate your wonderful staff and you of course!

We had a wonderful dinner here while staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. My husband and i both tried the redfish special and it was fantastic. We really enjoyed it and service was great. Atmosphere very nice. I would love to eat there again.

I usually try to avoid hotel restaurants like this one, but the options are pretty limited in downtown Dallas early on Monday morning. I was looking for something pretty light and healthy and Elm Street Cask delivered, with a granola/yogurt plate loaded with a variety of fruit. The coffee was also notably smooth. Reasonably priced and decent service, too.

This service is phenomenal! My server was Johnathan and he seated me right away when I came in. I’m here on a business trip and this place was recommended so I gave it a go and I’m glad I did because the food is absolutely amazing! I ordered shrimp conches as an appetizer and had the fish tacos for my entree and let’s just say that this restaurant has made the list! Great customer service, nice ambiance and delicious food! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Just had the best dinner in Dallas since I've been here for 5 days. All aspects of the dining experience were fulfilled. Food was very tasty and well presented and the waitress service was exceptional. Thank you.

Ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich. The first couple of bites were amazing. Then next bite something seemed off so I peeled off the bun to check and the chicken was literally still raw in the middle. I showed the waiter and he was hugely apologetic, but honestly how does something like that even happen?!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious food, what else could you ask for. Even though there wasn't many customers when we want, the location was set up well and could easily accommodate 40 guests for breakfast. Our only complaint was the bacon was over cooked and if we would have told the staff we are sure they would have made it right. Near perfect in every way. Eat there if you can.

We were staying at the hotel this restaurant is located in so we were looking for a quick bite after a Christmans concert. It was Saturday night, only 1 server which should have been fine since there were only 11 patrons in the bar. I ordered a local tap beer that I like but was informed they were out. I ordered another Texas beer and the server went to get that and came back and said they were out of that. I selected a 3rd craft beer and a bit later the manager came out to inform me they were out of that as well. I ordered a glass of cabernet that they thankfully had in stock (the manager comped our drinks). This all took 20 minutes or better. Since we were nearing 7:00 PM and hadn't eaten since breakfast we were starving. The befuddled server had never returned for our food order. My wife, sensing my growing frustration, went to the bar and placed our order. Again, this server was waiting on 11 people in a space the size of my living room. Major training opportunity. It took 20-25 minutes for a cheeseburger and fries, a spinach and kale salad, and a bowl of soul to arrive. My wife loved the chicken soup with dumplings and her salad. My Elm Street Cheeseburger was excellent. Loved the coffee bacon on that burger. All in all, the kitchen has it together, that server (he didn't introduce himself) did not. I can't imagine scheduling this person on a Saturday night by himself

We ate dinner at the Elm Street Cask and Kitchen this evening prior to attending a concert at the American Airlines Center. I ordered the burger, medium, and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. My burger was done to perfection, well seasoned and quite delicious, served with rosemary fries. My husband remarked that the grits were prepared different than he’s had, but very delicious. I’m glad we decided to try this restaurant in spite of reviews read on yelp.

I decided to stop by Elm Street Cask & Kitchen on my way home from work this evening as it’s a natural progression on my way home...right next door to the building in which I work, and headed in my direction home. They thought a very, very nice Happy Hour (which is what had me intrigued). I walk in, head to the bar, sit down and I’m immediately greeted by the bartender. Only thing is, by the time I got situated, another woman had also perched at the bar, and she was a bit more aggressive (let’s say assertive). No worries. I wait. I put in my drink order, and as I’m ordering my wings, she asserts herself (again). It’s cool. Order’s in. Done. From outside, walks a guy in wearing a red shirt (it is to be noted, I also have on a red shirt). He orders, and I didn’t really catch his order other than he wanted to taste the IPA (shout out to Vaughn Jackson). In walks 3 other guys. Red shirt guy is boisterous, so he says a few things, cracks a few unfunny jokes, and I go back to watching one of the Dakotas playing basketball. A few minutes go by, and wings are dropped off to red shirt guy. I’m thinking those are probably mine, but as I watch him, he never shudders and begins to eat them. I rationalize it by thinking “He May have ordered them while he was outside, but it was too cold and he came inside.” A few minutes later, they’re gone. Time passes. Still no wings. The bartender, to her credit is scrambling at this point...at least 30 minutes have passed. No wings. She sends word to the kitchen. They send word back saying that they’ve been dropped, and I ate them. It’s at that very moment that her and I realize that Red Shirt Guy, ate my wings. When she confronts him about it, he replied “I didn’t think it was right, but I wasn’t going to argue about it.” She then tries to see if I would wait, it if there’s anything she could do, but I was dejected at that point; and, I didn’t feel like waiting anymore. Their happy hour is dope, and for your whiskey drinkers, they have bourbons galore. Today was simply not my day, though.

Husband and I had breakfast here. Absolutely loved everything. He had chicken and waffles. The chicken was so juicy and the waffle was just like the ones we had in Belgium. I had the Crab Cake Benedict. So good! Also, my mocha latte was really good. And to make our breakfast even better was the sweet waitress we had.

Fun atmosphere. We did have an issue with our order but Mr. Barry went above and beyond to make it right. Will definitely come back to try brunch.

Do not eat here if you have a food allergy. We checked with the wait staff at least three times to see if the food was safe and yet half an hour later one of us had a serious allergic reaction. These people really have no idea what food safety means.

We spent one night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Dallas and after a great night, we enjoyed a terrific (and I do mean a TERRIFIC) breakfast on the patio of the Elm Street Cask restaurant. The food didn't disappoint and the patio was lovely -- it was so surprising that the noise from the street wasn't an issue (it just disappeared because of the lovely ambience of the patio). The service was impeccable and although our server was attentive, she didn't hurry use along -- which we totally appreciated and took advantage of. Walking through the restaurant was a feast for the eyes -- it is beautifully decorated (with gray velvet banquets and lots of charming metal and wood touches). I hope to come back and enjoy a lovely dinner (or another serving of the delicious Almond Ricotta pancakes).
Go to the bar. Order an old fashioned from Diana.
She’s a good sport and is happy to recommend great spots around the city. True hospitality. Thanks Diana, and cheers!
