Great enchiladas

By brettlevy |

I ordered the cheese enchiladas with beef fajita meat on top. Really good! Wait staff was great. Only complaint is that it was a little loud, but it's prett open space so that's going to happen.

Great experience!

By Tania H |

I ordered the stuffed Jalapeños, the dipping sauce was so good. My family and I really enjoyed the food. The margaritas are so good as well.

Great Event Location - Enchilada's Resturant Greenville Ave, Dalls

By Steven C |

We had a 70th Birthday party there and the food, service and location were all great. The staff was friendly, professional and prompt. We regularly eat there and love it but we also strongly recommend it for events.

Great Tex-Mex

By ShawnG4 |

My wife had her usual chicken fajitas and I tried the cilantro Tilapia. Both were amazing. The fish was steamed perfectly and served with an amazing Mexican Cole slaw.

Enchiladas is the place for...enchiladas!

By G H |

My initial test of a good Tex-Mex restaurant is the enchiladas. If the restaurant has good enchiladas, I’ll be back to try other items. A restaurant bold enough to call itself “Enchilada’s” better have great ones. Both the beef and chicken enchiladas are exceptional. They’re plump with meat, and they taste great. I enjoyed them so much that I always come back for them. My wife prefers their yummy mixed fajitas, but I'm sticking with the enchiladas The margaritas are equally good. At times there is a bit of a wait for a table, but the food is worth the wait. Service has always been very attentive and efficient.

AWESOME BRUNCH!! BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS!!

By Kim P |

The BEST chicken sour cream enchiladas I've had!!! Their Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas and Bellinis can't be beat!!! The guy who makes the omelets and waffles is so attentive and helpful....it's one of my newest FAV spots!!!

$20 for brunch with bottomless mimosas

By Chusi G |

There were omelette and waffles to order. 3 kind of enchiladas, tamales, fajita, beans, rice, 2 soups, shrimp cocktail, desserts, fruit, tea, mimosas, OJ all included for $20 for Sunday brunch. Flavor was good, it gets crowded, no reservations. Price too high for us. We were 8 people.

Great Margarita's!

By Chris M |

We've been coming to this place for many years now. It's our go to when we want a good Margarita that's not over priced. They are strong as well! The service is always good. Food isn't anything to fancy, but good. The chips are fresh and warm. Yesterday's visit was what we always expect here!

Old Standby

By Julien D |

We used to go to Enchilada's every Sunday night with my kids and grandparents. It was always a great family place. When the one on Northwest Hwy moved to Greenville we stopped going as often. Recently, we tried it again and it was reliably good with great service.

Dinner at Enchilada's Restaurant

By MPG6354 |

My wife and I have been coming here for many years. Our 2 favorite dishes are the fajitalada dinner that contains either beef or chicken fajita meat inside tortillas or the avocadolada dinner that has avocado in the tortillas with either chicken or beef fajita meat on top. We also like getting the sour cream sauce on top instead of the verde sauce. Add a side of queso and you will go home very happy! We also like their chips and sauce. The service is first rate and they have televisions throughout the restaurant to watch your favorite sports.

Tasty goodness.

By LcAt76 |

If you have not been to this restaurant, then you need to make it a point to try it out. The atmosphere is fun, family friendly, and inviting. The owner, Tony, is on point with his hospitality, and making sure that the guests are having an enjoyable dining experience. The staff are super attentive, which there is not much of these days. The food is AMAZINGLY tasty goodness.. The stuffed, if you like a little heat, jalapenos are soooo good. The fajitas are awesome, and the enchiladas are now a weekly regular, too. Everything that I have had, so far, has been above the bar for Tex Mex. We will be back to enjoy the atmosphere and great food. :)

Live music and Tex-Mex

By MDNied |

A nice place to spend a Saturday night. Good food and live music. Carne Asada, Fajitas and enchiladas to fill you up. Tasty cocktails. Great service. Wonderful Key Lime pie. Comfortable and tasty.

FAJITALADA!

By John W |

This is my favorite tex mex/ mexican food in the DFW area.I have been going here for over 25 years and it is great. My go to dinners are the fajitalada which is enchiladas with fajita meat on top and the crispy chicken tacos. The rice and beans are good but we love the hot sauce. If your a drinker they have dang good margaritas and if you have multiple drinkers invest in a Big-E margarita it is gigantic. If you even want to have a party or have a big group they have a big covered patio for ya.

A Long Way To Go To Pay More

By Bigbill69 |

It's always been my point of view that, other than the meat, most of the other items on the menu at Mexican restaurants, especially when bought in bulk, are relatively cheap and should result in a low to moderately priced meal. But, that is rarely the case. Except in only a few cases have I really thought that the Mexican meal that I received was worth the overall price, and I'm saying that as a big lover of really great Mexican food. Enchilada's Mexican Restaurant is a prime example - really good food, but greatly overpriced. I had not visited the Greenville Ave. Enchilada's restaurant in probably three years, so looking for a little diversity, my buddy and I made a long trip from home to the Lake High- land location, some 25 miles away, to see if anything had changed. Other than the prices, everything else was basically the same somewhat unique eatery. Like most Mexican restaurants, Enchilada's has both table and booth seating, a full bar, but is divided off in rooms with an addi- tional patio area. Maybe you're paying extra for the "ambiance" or the location. Who knows? I nearly always get the chicken enchiladas when I visit Mexican restaurants, and this trip was no exception. The only difference between my meal at Enchilada's and the one that I usually get in one of my favorite places in old downtown Garland is the price (about half on Wednes- days). The food quality at both places is comparable, as is the table service. So, I have to ask myself, "why make a long trip just to pay more?" But, if you live in the neighborhood it's a great place for Tex-Mex if you don't mind paying a little more.

Yummy Accident!

By AlaZem78 |

We had planned on going to another restaurant, but it was closed at 9pm on a weeknight. A local recommended this at a drug store of all places. We were happy with everything. It was so fresh. The chips were so good salsa too. I highly recommend the queso. Chili reano was almost smoked or something. The pico (and I'm not a pico fan) was so fresh and good. My only complaint was that I didn't see the sign promoting likes on Facebook in exchange for a sophapilla. The service was so friendly. We will definitely go back!

Nice place

By Chef p |

Nice clean place. They were hosting a band when we came in. Cool. The server was very good. The food is was very crapy. No seasoning. Good size I won't be coming back again not worth the money to eat here.

Great Tex Mex

By Karen B |

We revisited Enchilada's as a reminder of where we started. My husband took me here on our very first date. The seating hostess gave us a choice of table or booth. That was really nice. We were seated and had chips and salsa almost immediately. Drinks quickly followed. The chips were warm and crisp and the salsa was nice and spicy. Hubby ordered the medium Fajita Salad. It was the perfect size! I had the "Original Enchilada Dinner" and it was delicious! Pamela, our waitress, suggested a dessert with ice cream and strawberries. It was light, and really, really good. Hubby and I shared one and it was the perfect size for two. We had a wonderful; meal with a great waitress.

An excellent chile relleno with rocking music on a Friday night !

By Kent P |

One of Dallas' Tex Mex staples - everything is pretty satisfying, and a great value for brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Usually a live local band plays on a Friday night, with mostly classic rock.. A fairly lively crowd, good margaritas, and good service.

Great friendly service

By txchiquita22 |

Had lunch with someone who had to get back quickly. We got our appetizer (the sampler, which was great!) in record time. The entrees were hot and very tasty. I had chicken enchiladas, so good. The guacamole is great too.

Awesome service again by Javier L.

By Deb Streit |

This waiter is excellent everytime I have been here. Chicken fajitas for one are large enough for 2 people! For is very flavorful!

Great service, tasty drinks, delicious food

By Trish M |

Ate here while visiting family in Dallas. Our server was friendly and efficient. Drinks were great and had a good amount of tequila. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. I ordered fish tacos. The slaw with honey was a surprise and was very tasty and a great compliment to the fish

Bland and tasteless

By Valeriane M |

Wanted a quick dinner after driving from Austin to Dallas in horrible I35 weekend traffic. Our hotel had a list of nearby restaurants, and since we wanted to do the highly recommended brunch at Blue Mesa, we chose Enchiladas for dinner. Mistake. The food would have been better at the Taco Cabana down the street, and at least there we would have gotten freshly made tortillas instead of the stale store- bought ones we received. The beef fajitas had no flavor or texture, and were served with about three times as many onions and peppers as meat. At least the peppers were sweet red ones. The only high point of the meal was the shrimp diablo - the bacon had a nice smokiness, the shrimp was not overlooked, and the jalapeño had a nice bit of heat.

Good tex mex

By David H |

Stopped for an early dinner and ate at the bar because I was alone. I was worried about wait times because they were fairly busy but the bartender really kicked butt and rose to the occasion. Very friendly staff and very responsive. I had a burrito meal that was yet another example of the outstanding tex mex you can get in Dallas. 4 stars only because the tex mex at another place was just a little bit better. Either way a great meal.

Really good tacos

By Brenda4810 |

My first time to Enchiladas and I loved my lunch of couple street tacos with corn tortillas and fajita meat with cup borracho beans topped off with mug of Dos Equis Amber beer. My waiter was efficient and friendly. Nice Experience will return.

Good food, friendly staff

By pinnacle-project |

I stopped in during a recent visit to Dallas. As I approached the front door, I noticed a sign that indicated they had won an award for their friendly staff. The person waiting on my table was excellent. As if to reinforce the sign in the window, I noticed the people at another table gave their wait staff a hug. I have found the chips and salsa are a good indicator of how good the upcoming meal will be. I really liked the chips and salsa a lot. As predicted by the chips and salsa, the balance of my meal was very good too. The only suggestion I have is to expand the menu a bit. I am always watching for the options that I cannot find everyplace else. Their menu has a very good selection and will satisfy 90% of the people who go there and it does have a few less common options but I have seen more broad menus before. Would I recommend this restaurant to a friend? Definitely. It was a great experience.

Tequila dinner

By BethB75205 |

Enchiladas had a special chile relleno dinner with tortilla soup and flan for dessert--with tequila tasting provided during each course. The food was delicious and the service was excellent on the patio. Great event that the restaurant had organized into a party atmosphere. Plenty of parking despite being on busy Greenville.

Love the half price margaritas!

By russkwtx |

We come here a few times a year and really enjoy it. The wife loves the chili relleno because it is baked, not deep fried. I have tried a variety of dishes but their enchiladas and brisket tacos are my favorites. Food is consistently good. Service is usually very attentive. This last time I tried the tacos al carbon and the meat had little flavor as if it had not been marinated. It was tender, however. The best thing is Wednesday half price margaritas.

/We eat here fairly often but lately

By girlgodiva |

the food and service have been going down hill. There were 5 of us having lunch here today. Some of the food was hot and some was cold. We asked for both corn tortilla's and flour tortilla's and was charged an additional 6.32 for those. The tea glasses had lipstick stains on two of them. They have been having problems for a while with the food in that it has been inconsistent. This time it went from inconsistent to just down right bad. Would not recommend until they get their act together.

Great Eats

By Patrick O |

I have been a couple of times and each time I find I like the place just a little bit more. I have tried the chicken fahita's. And the chicken Enchilada plate both meals were great. They have cold Ice tea and the soppa pea ( Fried bread pour honey over it) very good desert.

Great food, nice atmosphere, and terrific service

By Suszanne M |

My daughter had been wanting to try this restaurant, so took her there for lunch. They had a good lunch menu, $10 for fajitas. I asked the waiter what’s the most ordered dish on the menu, and he informed me it was the avocado enchiladas topped with chicken. So I ordered it it was $12 and it tasted very good. Next time I’m in town next time I I asked the waiter what’s the most ordered dish on the menu, and he informed me it was the avocado enchiladas topped with chicken. So I ordered it was $12 and it taste very good. Next time I’m in town, we may go here again.

Sunday Brunch

By Glenda J |

Best brunch and staff! Love it and always feel special by the staff. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you could possibly want or need.

Best Enchiladas

By pastordelboy |

The food, the service were both unbeatable. A wide variety to chose from on the menu. If you don't see it on the menu, open your eyes.

Best Food and Service in a long time

By Kara M |

Excellent service, tasty adult beverages and delicious food! Our server Joshua, was very attentive and friendly from start to finish. My sangria swirl special was 2.99. All our dinner choices were very well prepared, served hot and with good sized portions. Our food was served promptly and as ordered. Fajitas were seasoned well and tender. Street soft corn tacos with brisket were also great served with tomatillo salsa and the Mexican Plate was also very tasty, served a very good beef tamale. Highly recommend!

Avoid roaches

By Lisa B |

Well I used to go here for Happy Hour every week 20 years ago, fast forward to now and I’m over it and so is the restaurant! I did a Yelp review and the owner replied and asked me to call him and then he told me all the reasons I should remove my review. I changed my review and started looking at the other reviews and realized this same experience I had, other people had and it’s not ok! When you walk in to the restaurant it smells like sewage and it’s like, is that really what I’m smelling, as you continue past the kitchen. I even asked my daughter are we going to do this and she said "we are committed now” because we had my grandkids with us. We got our food, we are eating and a roach crawls across the wall in our booth right by our heads! We are so over it at that point. So, in other reviews the owner denied knowing anything about the sewage smell and said he would check it out. I knew they were aware of the smell because upon exiting the restaurant you could smell the funky sweet smell of bathroom sanitizer. The owner told me it smells when it’s humid and fixing it is a problem. The roach thing, I mean how do you get past that, he said people bring them in with their purses! Ok, well there are other reviews and so I guess roaches just keep jumping in purses! Bottom line, avoid

Good, easy tex Mex meal in downtown Dallas

By relaxalot2 |

Within walking distance of our hotel was the main requirement for finding a restaurant on our first night visiting Dallas. Enchilada's was only a two block walk away and we were able to walk right in and grab a booth at 6 pm on a Friday night. Service was quick with chips, salsa and drinks. Owner/manager was quick with a joke and made sure our needs were being met during our visit. The queso and guacamole were first rate! I probably could've filled up on chips and dips alone! Both my husband and me ordered enchilada plates, because that is what you should order at a restaurant named Enchilada's. I had chicken, spinach and cheese and they were great. Husband ended up with some mismatched order he didn't place, so kitchen brought out some substitutes and we had a buffet. Heading back to a hotel, we left so much yumminess behind! Drinks were poured with a heavy hand, so beware. We were walking, so it was great. Overall, we enjoyed our easy, no worries meal at Enchilada's. Definitely will satisfy your craving for a good texmex meal with a spunky margarita!

Average this visit

I go here every few weeks and sometimes the food is very good and the service is as well. Today however both were lacking; our waitress wasn't attentive and the food just ok.

love the food

By VP-MOEHospitality |

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and the food and service remain wonderful. It is truly one of my favorite places to eat. Bravo on maintaining your quality for such a long period of time.

When it really has to be TexMex!

By MarcusDalrelius |

Enchilada’s Greenville Avenue is my “go to” TexMex restaurant. You can’t beat the margaritas for value, and my wife and I both prefer the large frozen – not too sweet, not too tart! Service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is consistent in quality and with good value. Over 30 years in business is probably due to that consistency. Do try the stuffed jalapenos!

Great Food

By jessikaflags |

Food is great as always, the service is always fast. Even when there is a lunch crowd they have fast and great service..

Dinner

By Ozzie Z |

This is my 3rd visit and I am really up in the air about this place. The food is very good hands down I would recommend it but I am conflicted about the drinks especially the margaritas. I cam twice after work not during Happy Hour and the margaritas were so so not just in taste but in the amount. I came on a Friday for Happy Hour and the bartender was different, he was very pleasant friendly and welcoming, he made you wanna come back again and again, plus the margaritas were to die not for not in taste but also in portion size. How do I know those were bigger I measured them and when I tried to explain that to the bartender he told me they were they same, what a let down. I am going to try this place another Friday for Happy Hour so I can either confirm or deny my experience.

Great Food

By alice320 |

Love the food _ yummy, big portions and great prices. Sit in the closed off outdoor area to listen to live music or stay inside to mingle with family/friends.

Tex-Mex

By MDNied |

Great food and service. Live music, check website for days. Carne Asada is very good. Enchiladas of many varieties to choose from. Adult beverages. Friendly atmosphere.

Tasty Tex Mex

By MDNied |

Great variety of food and adult beverages to select from. Enchiladas, fajitas and brisket Tacos. Super service from friendly servers. Super desserts. Weekend brunch. A wonderful place to eat.

Really good tacos

By russkwtx |

We went here for dinner on a weeknight and it was really good. The salsa was spicy. The chips were not greasy. My Mexican tacos ($12.29, 4 to an order) were excellent. I was able to mix and match so I got two brisket, one chicken, and one skirt steak. All were tasty but the skirt steak was the best. The meat was tender and really flavorful. The wife ordered the chile relleno with cheese ($9.99) and ate it all, she really liked it. Throw in a couple of margarita specials and a shot on the side, and Monday nights are not so bad. Service was attentive. Overall, a good experience and value for the money.

Date night

By Sarah M |

I came in to eat here on a date night with my husband, and we had a great time! Younger and older crowd. Great for everyone! Rocks margaritas were amazing! Chips and salsa are always being refilled and so yummy! overall great experience! we'll be coming back for sure!

Great food; great service; great value

By jpatter1 |

Visited this place for the first time in ten years. I was really surprised how good it is. Big crowd. Able to have a conversation. Chips and salsa are exceptional. Chicken fajitas are fantastic. Chicken salad with chipotle dressing was very good. And the service could not be better.

Saturday Night in December

By Will H |

We came here December 15, 2018 to meet some friends we consider family! As soon as we got there, I was able to pull into a parking spot right in front; highly unusual for someone like me; they do offer valet too.... anyway, we went in and met our party! I ordered a frozen margarita with blackberry juice; it was really good and I would’ve liked to have another but alas, I had to drive! Our waitress was very attentive with our drinks and delivering us water! I ordered the “messy burrito” plate with chili con carne sauce on top! It was so delicious I probably could’ve ordered another one but I abstained! It was a really good night with great people with good drinks and great food! If you’re ever in the Dallas area, definitely a must!

Yummy

Every time I visit, it's good. So fresh. They stay open late, service is good food is delicious. Love it.

Tex Mex

By MDNied |

Great Tex Mex menu served by a friendly and efficient staff. Large variety of bar drink choices. Live music on the weekends. Late night this is a great place to dine. Dessert menu with several tasty choices. The Key lime pie was very good. Give this place a try you'll be glad you did.

Awesome Tex-Mex & Marg's

By Joe H |

Best Tex-Mex in Dallas, and delicious, reasonably priced margaritas. We love the Original Enchilada Dinner, Fajitas and Fajitaladas, and have always really liked everything on the menu. Very reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very friendly and attentive wait staff.

Outstanding Mexican Food

By Rjmathers |

Great food. Good service. Better food than anything in the North Park mall. The fish tacos and Avocadalada enchiladas were outstanding. Chips and salsa were great too. We’ll come back.

Awesome!!!

By Stormybrowneyes |

One of my favorite restaurants of all time. Will drive over 30 min just for their food. Sour cream enchiladas and chicken fajita nachos arent best around and margaritas are killer but take it easy on them. They have a big buffet on sundays too i just found out. You have to try this place!!!

Lunch time fav!

By courtneydunlap07 |

The number five my favorite lunch!! Recommended for anyone for lunch, dinner , margaritas and brunch

From BAD to WORSE

By LC C |

We are regulars for sundays brunch and honestly this place is getting from bad to worse. Took forever for our waiter to come to the table to check on us. This is the third bad experience. We order drinks and the brunch bar was already close, duh! If you wouldn't take that long to come check on us we could probably had a couple of more drinks. I'm surprised they are voted best wait staff!! That ain't true.

My 2nd Home

By Joey R |

I have been coming to Enchilada's for 21 years and I look forward to many more. I've celebrated birthdays, weddings, and mourned loved ones here. The atmosphere, the people, the owners, can't say enough good things. And then there's the FOOD! Seriously the best in Dallas! I strongly recommend Enchilada's to anyone and have to many people. I will be a patron for life!

Above average prices, below average food, super service

By AVGTXN |

Entree prices match any high-end mexican or tex-mex restaurant, but the food is very average. While the tacos al carbon are large, all you get is overcooked fajita meat wrapped in an almost-stale flour tortilla. There's nothing else on them. The beans and rice are OK. The one bright spot is the wait staff. I cannot remember a wait staff so warm, courteous, and attentive, even on a busy Friday night. Everyone you passed said 'hi' or 'thank you'. They were great. Does Enchiladas serve anything that would draw me back? No.

There are better places nearby.

By Jim R |

Over priced, very average food, so-so margarita. This restaurant has been around for many years and still hasn't improved. Chicken fajitas were mostly under cooked onions, sparse peppers, and even more sparse chicken. Cost $12.89 - Wednesday enchilada special 2 cheese enchiladas, rice and beans $4.79. All put on plate and microwaved or put in oven. Have had better at Taco Cabana. Chips tasted old and salsa had no consistency/runny. Regular margarita on the rocks $5.99. Tasted like bottled mix without a hint on tequila. Both food orders arrived at table in less than 4 minutes from time of ordering. Service was the best part of the experience. Time of day 6:00 pm. Hadn't been here in along time, it will be longer before we return

Average food

By Clint C |

If you are a foodie, skip it. If you're not a foodie, the place is clean the food is average the staff is very nice overall it is a very average place. I say that with a smile on my face. I am not disappointed , it is also very reasonably priced. There's nothing amazing about this place and I'm pretty sure that you will not be upset.

Lunch

By Jello Shot Man |

Best tortilla soup outside my wife's kitchen. Great service.... Better than average TexMex and there is an abundance of average places in North Dallas. Fajita chilli rellenno outstanding. Excellent margaritas and swirls....

Food Quality Gone Down

By mcgotes |

Hadn't been to this longtime restaurant in awhile and unfortunately was disappointed. Although the drinks (margaritas) and appetizers were great (the special queso and the guacamole) the dinner entrees that we chose weren't up to speed. Specifically wasn't impressed with the brisket tacos, brisket nachos or the brisket quesadillas. In the past they've been a preference. Dry and tasteless. The only entree that was enjoyed was the BLT taco's with a medley of fresh grilled vegetables. Obviously several of us ordered the wrong entrees OR should have enjoyed another margarita.

Good but not great

By dpjp88 |

I was expecting the very best enchiladas I’d ever eaten but they weren’t anything special. The service was a bit slow. Chips and salsa were okay.

Love this place

By Sky W |

They have very delicious enchiladas and very good drinks here.i would definitely be coming here again

I have loved it for 20 years

By VP-MOEHospitality |

I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years. Everything is wonderful. I love the flautitas and fancy chicken nachos as appetizers. Everything is fresh and wonderful. One of the only places I can get tres leches cake anymore. This is a standard in Tex Mex for the Dallas area

Delicious enchiladas!

By Amcelia |

Surprising tex-mex restaurant with delicious enchiladas!! Not a big fan of tex-mex, preferring authentic Mexican food. I was in search of a restaurant with delicious enchiladas and I found it at the aptly named, Enchiladas!! They have a large assortment of them and everything is delicious! Try it, you won't regret it.

Excellent food & hospitality!

By SarahSt |

Me and my family just had a big family celebration here. Everyone loved their food and drinks! The waitstaff, managers and even the owner obviously value hospitality and want to make sure their customers are happy. I had a taco salad and the portions were Huge! And the meat was very well seasoned. We can't wait to go back!

A place you’ll return to again and again.

By Susan S |

This is our spot to stop for a neighborhood Mexican dinner. They also have an area that can seat larger groups. The service is always very attentive, we enjoy the food and we’ve never met a margarita we didn’t like.

Good food

By Bob H |

The food here is always very good impressing is moderate. Sometimes the service excels at others it’s only fair. They have a very good Sunday brunch buffet that’s worth the money. Overall this is a good restaurant for Mexican food.
