Please don’t call yourself an Italian restaurant

By Fede I |

Yet another Americanized ‘eye-talian’ restaurant. As if we didn’t have enough of those in Dallas. None of the food is even near what real Italian food is like. Lasagna was sweet (ricotta instead of béchamel) and the pizza was mediocre. They have a burger on the menu (how is that Italian?) and fettuccine Alfredo (first hint this it isn’t a real Italian place). The cappuccino was really a latte, zero foam. Not impressed, will not return. Only saving grace in this restaurant is the service, hence is gets two stars.

Italy in one dish!

Enoteca...family owned, operated and managed by people who care about food and customers. Gena is on site and on the job making sure all is well. If you are a fan of cacio y pepe, THIS is the place! A perfect Italian experience in Dallas near the excellent Melrose Hotel.

Great Atmosphere

We love Enoteca and have dinner with friends there often. I am not a brussel sprouts fan, except here - try the grilled sprouts as an appetizer - incredible. Also a fan of the grilled salmon, but everything is great. We always request Walter.

Great italian food in a smart setting.

We have been wanting to go to this restaurant for quite a while and we finally made it Friday night. We had an early reservation but got hung up in traffic coming in from Corinth. Called the restaurant and they moved our reservation back 45 min. One of the best things about this restaurant is that it is family owned and run. Great menu for both food and wine. My wife had the nightly special of lasagna with vodka sauce and i had the rigatoni salsiccia. I wanted to try something a bit different and this fit the bill. Good drink menu. Service was very attentive without being over the top. I assume one of the managers stopped by to check on us. We were on a bit of a short time frame and they were able to accommodate us. Next time and there will be a next time we will try the dessert menu. I recommend this place.

Now one of my favorite restaurants!

We sat at the bar and received the best craft drinks from the bartender, Judah. We ordered the brussels sprouts for our appetizer and they were amazing. We both had salads for dinner and they were so fresh and tasty. And our dessert was the Blond Butter Brownie with vanilla ice cream (the best). Service was awesome and the whole experience was on point. We will be going back again soon.

Pecorino Veal Meatballs to Die For

By 2bobbybornot |

My first visit to Enoteca Italia was a gastronomical surprise. The staff and the food was superb. I ordered the meatballs, Caesar Salad with extra anchovies, and Calamari. All three looked good on the menu, so I opted out of the entre. I could have and should have stopped with the meatballs. Appetizer portion of the meatballs was more than enough food (I didn't share). The flavor and tenderness of the meatballs paired with the the sumptuous marinara were out of this world. They overshadowed the Caesar and anchovies as well as the too crispy calamari. I'll definitely be going back.
