If you're looking (as I was) for a real, legit taste of Latin Miami - and don't want to get dressed up beyond the bare minimum (I didn't) - then head on down to Enriqueta's! Black bean soup and the regular (what would the "double" look like?) Cuban sandwich were nothing short of outstanding. Both will kind of ruin me for ordering the same thing again elsewhere (except maybe in Miami, where I never am). Everything I saw leave the kitched looked and smelled fantastic. If I weren't leaving tomorrow, I'd be visiting again.

Oh my word is this place good!!!! Every single plate that went by me looked amazing and everything we ordered was just that! I wanted a lot of stuff on the menu so I opted to order a bunch or sides. The meduros were the best I've ever had!! The rice and beans were probably the best I've had too. The tostones were so good too and the sauce.... mmmmm!!!

2 eggs, bacon, fresh squeezed O.J., café con leche y una tostada....all f for or under

Great spot for breakfast. Tasty food and awesome cuban coffee and croquettes. Also good for lunch, try the steak sandwich.

Already known for the best Cuban sandwich in Miami, they have somehow improved upon it. Put hunks of marinated, roasted pork inside the already crispy, wonderful, sweet umami filled dream of their Cubano and your eyes will roll back in your head. It's always jammed inside and you soon find out why. The food is superb and the coffee delicious. Check out their lunch specials (the seafood and yellow rice is my fav!) and you will know why everyone from city workers to cops to car salesmen to artists and celebrities troop there!

Nice and welcoming atmosphere, the staff is very simple and kind, and food is amazing, prices are fair. I really recommend Tostones or the fried sweet banana!

Restaurant was busy with locals so we knew that it had to be good food. Enjoyed an authentic and tasty Cuban breakfast. Quick and friendly service and very reasonably priced.

We randomly chose this restaurant to sample some Cuban food and were not disappointed. The place was packed with locals and we knew right away that we were in the right place! Our group of five ordered the Cuban sandwich, fried tilapia, fried, plantains, flan and some Cuban coffee. Everything was really good and the portions were so big , we had a hard time finishing up. Great atmosphere!

This place is incredible , great home made food, and the service is fast!! i go every weekend for breakfast or lunch.....must try the home made cod/fish bacalao croquetas the best!!

This is clearly a local hangout. We chose it primarily because 0f its proximity to the Dela Cruz collection. However, the omelettes that we were served were as good as any we've recently had. My wife's was a banana and mine chorizo.

Was on my way to a funeral in the area with time to spare so decided to stop in for a quick breakfast. I've always heard great things about the Cuban sandwiches here so was very excited to try one. I went for favorite Cuban sandwich: the croqueta preparada $8.25. I can't stress enough how well done the sandwich was done here---the croqueta was still steaming/freshly made, the ham was thrown on a flat top beforehand so it was slightly browned, and the bread wasn't overly buttered or soggy. The whole sandwich was perfect and a steal for the price considering how large it was stuffed with so many ingredients. My boyfriend went for their Pan con Tortilla Enriqueta $8 which had an onion omelette with ham, cheese, and bacon all in Cuban bread aka the perfect breakfast sandwich. We couldn't believe how big his sandwich was either since it looked like three sandwiches on one plate. Both of our sandwiches went down well with our coladas. They are used to serving take out orders and moving quickly which was great for us since we were in a hurry. Friendly staff, would most definitely be back when in the area again for a quick but cheap meal!

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch while we were in Miami. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, black beans and rice & the sweet plantains. The sandwich is big enough for 2 people to share, especially if you order a side. Everything tasted really good. The service was good as well. My husband said this was one of his favorite Cuban sandwiches he has had. The parking lot was really small, so plan to park on a side road and pay a couple of dollars for metered parking.

It's not the biggest place but it always slammed with people. They are staffed very well and are very quick. They have some of best Cuban sandwiches I have ever had. They have extremely large portions and are very affordable. Their coffee is also amazing. Do not miss out!

Our first Cuban sandwich in Miami and it was so very good! We had the bigger one which included pulled pork - a great addition. The beans and rice were perfect - so good we bought extra to take home. Service was friendly and very helpful and other patrons were happy to tell us how good their meals were too. We'll definitely go again when we revisit Miami.

You're going to get a lot of bang for your buck when you order the Cuban sandwich. The portion is pretty big and filling and only costs around $7 or $8. As for the sandwich itself, which has been called the best Cuban sandwich in Miami, it was fine. Maybe I'm just not as big of a Cuban sandwich fan as many other people in Miami.

Have eaten many Cuban style sandwiches at American chain restaurants over the years. And, while they were mostly tasty I knew an authentic version would be on my plate someday. Well, on our way to Key West the opportunity was finally at hand. Enriqueta’s was our choice and as we arrived we were very lucky to find a spot in a very small parking lot. Walking into the restaurant we were met with a cacophony of sound from all the customers and a busy busy kitchen. The place was packed which could mean only two things...we picked the right place and the food would be delicious. Our luck continued as we found the only empty table in the joint. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name as she was super sweet and very helpful in our first visit. My wife and I both chose the basic Cuban sandwich. I had fries with mine and she chose plantains which neither of us had ever eaten before. Food arrived in a reasonable time considering how busy it was and everything looked good. First taste of the plantains were interesting. While tasty they weren’t my cup of tea. My wife was pleasantly surprised and said she would definitely order them in the future. The sandwiches. Wonderful. The Cuban style roll was crisp on the outside and had a very nice chew. Inside, the meats, cheese, & pickles were in perfect proportions and very hot, temperature wise. Finally, a real Cuban sandwich made by real Cuban cooks. Absolutely delicious and better than any other I’ve had previously. Thank you Enriqueta’s for showing me the light. 👍👍

Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop is a popular diner located in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood. Unlike uppity, so-called cuban restaurants found elsewhere in the city, It serves authentic, extremely tasty and very reasonably-priced cuban fare. Portions are large and served with a smile. Their famous double Cuban sandwich is humongous and provides a delicious blend of ham, cheese, grilled onions and pork on tasteful cuban bread. The palomilla plate is also a full meal in itself, with black beans, rice, grilled onions and steak, complemented by grilled plantains. I guarantee you will not walk out of Enriqueta's hungry or dissatisfied with your meal. This is the type of establishment, quite rare nowadays, that takes pride in its food and the way it is prepared and served. Customers owe it to themselves to patronize these restaurants. In my book, Enriqueta's is at the top of the list.

Want a quick authentic Cuban lunch before your trek to Wynnwood Walls? Enriqueta's is a 10-minute walk and worth every step. Daily specials range from Vaca Frita to Goat Stew -- but they are correctly known for having one of the best Cuban sandwiches around. The sandwiches are huge and served on delightfully fluffy-topped and crisp-bottomed Cuban bread. We had good luck with the old standbys: Cuban sandwich, BLT, black beans (amazing, studded with olives), maduros. The fish sandwich was less successful, as was the Super Queso -- despite its awesome name. Prices are ridiculously low. Four of us ate for $34, including four to-go coladas, which were insanely good and fueled us for a day of touristing through Wynnwood.

I eat here every time I'm in Miami. It is probably the best value you will find for food that good. Portions are pretty large and I highly recommend the empanadas.

I love this place!! the noise, the characters, the food is good too. Not 4 star but good and fun. Got to enjoy dining once in a while with the sound of a coffee grinder a few decibels lower than a jack hammer outside your window. If you want a good jolt of cuban energy this is one of the places. Very courteous help, normal prices, go for it!!

Great value. Fabulous pan con lechon. We were going to eat inside but at a little before noon they seemed overwhelmed, tables weren't being cleaned and we couldn't get served. The take- out window was the perfect solution. Two pork sandwiches, two croquetas, a cortadito and a cafe con leche came to $20. The sandwiches were huge and we ended up having half for lunch and half for dinner. If you're hungry and want authentic Cuban food, this is a great place and an exception to the "chains."

I visited this place after read a lot of reviews, I ordered the one with all the meats including pull pork, it was huge and very tasteful. the french fries were overcook and too greasy, we also orderer another sandwich but it was very salty,

Very busy lunch spot. We knew it had to be terrific. I ordered a fish platter that was delicious, but we came for my husband to get a Cuban sandwich fix. He got it with croquettes and was VERY satisfied!! The colada and sweet plantains were excellent!! Its pretty loud and tight inside. You should come for the food and experience! She knew what I liked and asked if I wanted another colada!!

My cuban Uber driver suggested Enriqueta's and it was a great bargain. It is small and a line formed after we were seated. It's a small place and there are only 2 waitresses and not a busboy in sight. The service was excellent, but we did have to wait awhile to get the check. I had the steak sandwich and it was good. The bread was great, but the steak was well done. The fries were on the sandwich. The portions were huge for most of the meals. It was good but not great and yet I would go back. They only serve breakfast and lunch.

Excellent food. My wife and I love cuban sandwiches and these were delicious. They offered several other cuban dishes that looked good as well. It is a small diner, so be ready to wait a little bit, but definitely worth it.

This place is a gem. Amazing coffee and sandwiches. Went for a quick lunch stop. Was extremely crowded. Great service!

My favorite stop for all things daytime. Would come here for my morning coffee and Cuban tostada. The girls in the window are the cutest! Great sense of humor - a little bit aggressive - but so consistent in what the deliver. Best place for a quick, casual lunch. The medianoche is excellent, as are the daily specials. Fave ever.

We stopped in to grab lunch after flying into Miami and while the parking lot is very small and we had to park a few streets over it was well worth it. The prices are very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and my husband got the Friday special. His was roasted pork, black beans and rice, and a corn tamale. Everything was terrific and there was so much food!

This was the first time I ate an authentic Cuban Sandwich, Cuban style egg plate and as a side of Cuban coffee. I found them all delicious and mouthwatering 🤤 Egg plates are very huge, price is affordable and the shop is very convenient location.

We needed a quick bite before the airport. We heard about Enriqueta's Cubans so we had to try them The bread was great and so was the rest of the sandwich. I would go back

Great restaurant, delicious, simple Cuban cuisine. Impeccable service and very friendly waitress. Perfect for a “on the go” lunch.

The food is very good thank to the cooks. However, The woman at the window who is the owners daughter is the nastiest person I have ever encountered. My coworkers and I tried calling several times to place an order for pickup and the phone was never answered. So we decided to go there to order and wait. We know that is usually busy and didn't mind that we had to wait. When my turn came and I told her that I had four orders the woman became upset and began to scold me saying why didn't call that I should have called. I replied to her that I did many times and that they are not answering that's not my fault. She had an attitude looking at me upset. Prior to today we have had many encounters with the same woman, same attitude but today it was just over the top. My goodness it was only 4 orders of sandwiches and we were the last customers in line. I really felt disrespected and insulted. Me and all my coworkers will NEVER go there again!!!

It's a Cuban diner . . . busy, crowded, noisy . . . and very good. I street-parked - the only kind there is - and met a client for lunch. He had selected Enriqueta's & it was a very good choice. With no available tables, we sat at the busy end of the bar with waiters & waitresses bustling by & everybody calling orders & flinging food. So, it certainly isn't a peaceful spot for a romantic lunch. I had . . . of course . . . their famous steak sandwich. Excellent & better than I expected & It actually lived up to it's reputation. And I could only finish half of it. So put Enriqueta's on your list of must visits.

Stopped for some Cuban food on our way out of town. Friendly service, good food and prices. It's the little things that set this place apart. Perfect cafe con leche served with the warm milk and espresso shot on the side. Media noche made delicious because they sear the meat first.

Longing for a good cuban sandwich or any cuban style sandwiches? This is the place! Great for lunches for any cuban food. But my favorite still remains the Cuban Sandwich. Parking at lunch is tough!

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a great location near midtown. There is limited parking in their lot, but there is ample parking in nearby side streets. We went on a Friday for lunch, and the dining room was completely packed. Luckily, they have a exterior window that one can order to go.

I had heard all kinds of things before going to this place. It was high on my things to do and I went there the first day I was in Miami. It was underwhelming. It is good and the its packed but honestly it is not Great. I mean I have had better food in Miami at other places. The taste is decent, really do not get why this place has the mythical status. Do try the lunch specials, they are nicely priced and portions are big. Croquetas are actually pretty good, better than most places

So happy my son moved into the area in Edgewater and found this place for me to enjoy when I came in for a visit. Located on the corner of NE 29th street and 2nd ave, getting a place to park is a little (no maybe a big) problem but so worth it when you take your first bite of that Cuban sandwich. They do have a very small lot but very tight and maybe about 5 cars can fit into it. I did a take out order and the wait was not to long. While waiting I had a nice conversation with a lady also waiting for her sandwiches who helped me order as the sweet lady taking the order did not speak any English. My “order lady” told me that she used to come here when she was a child living near by about 40 years ago! When I got back to my sons apartment we both enjoyed our wonderful sandwiches, Bread with just the right about of crispness in the crust, full of flavor inside and plenty of meat. This will be a regular stop each time I come and visit.

Simple place, no frills but never disappoints ... You see people from all walks of life. Attorneys,Doctors, Firemen, young, old, every nationality. Great service And good value for lunch, breakfast.

I've been to Miami three times. All three times this place is a must stop for me. It is listed as a Sandwich Shop. However...........it is much much more. Yes they have all of the Cuban staple sandwiches. However, paella is one of the more homemade offerings that they have. Today we had Bistec de Milanase (sp?), Black beans and rice. Maduros. BLT sandwich (on crispy Cuban bread no less) and chicken soup that was to die for. This place is a melting pot of the community. There are the working class stiffs; ladies in pearls, and men in suits all sitting side by side at the counter enjoying a slice of Americana. I have read reviews on line of (possibly) better sandwich shops. However, if you want to eat at a truly local place where the food is fresh/hot/great, then this is the must stop place for me.

I went there with some friends and It was very busy but the STEAK SANDWICH was excellent !!!!!!!

We had a couple of cuban sandwiches and could barely finish them. Is it possible to have too much ham? The bread was outstanding! The place was packed with locals - from construction workers to families and even a few hipsters. We were looking for authentic and this place definitely delivered. Great jumping off point to walk over to the Art District. Reasonable price too!

Authentic Cuban restaurant a Miami tradition for 54 years. Tuesday afternoon & the place never slowed down. Cuban sandwich was amazing. Red beans delightful. My friend had double Cuban sandwich with pork & I tried it wonderful flavors. Oxtail soup looked great & people around were enjoying all kinds of good looking plates. Don't miss this treasure!

Was in the mood for a little cuban so stopped in. Stellar Café Con Leche and delicious Cuban! ! Don't miss it!

We have visited Enriqueta's many times and have always enjoyed their food, many times taking it out in search of a better atmosphere. However, in all our visits we had never tried what I believe to be the best dish on the menu, the Double Cuban sandwich made with ham, cheese, pulled pork, onions and other wonderful flavors . . . truly a dish not to be missed, and large enough for two to share.

By far the best Cuban Steak Sandwich in Miami and the rest of the menu is also great. If you're looking for some authentic Cuban food this is the place.

If you’re looking for authentic Cuban quinine, this is it. Breakfast was delicious, however, if you do not speak Spanish, look at the menu before so you can understand what you are ordering.

Thanks to Trip Advisor I was able to enjoy this gem. Best Cuban Sandwich I have ever had. Worth the visit.

Came on a Wednesday’s afternoon and got the Wednesday special (half chicken) and the double Cuban sandwich. The half chicken was AMAZING! The chicken was juicy and tender and just fell off the bone! The double Cuban sandwich was very hearty and ended up getting way too much food! The Mamey shake was delicious. I had no idea what a mamey was before I got here so I learned about a new tropical fruit. Get the chicken. It’s the bomb!

The only "downside" to this place is that they are usually busy so the service can be a little slow but not unbearable. The generous portions and reasonable prices are definitely worth the wait though.

This small restaurant used to serve truckers because it is located across of what it used to be a container depot lot, now Midtown Miami, an elegant urban residential development and shopping mall nested between the Miami Design District and Winnwood, the trendy art gallery district. The food is really good and plentiful. Fantastic home made chicken and beef soups, and the best seafood paella (only on Thursdays) that $13 dollars can buy (a real treat and the most expensive meal served in the restaurant). Zagat rated, family owned, this place is truly a find.

One of the best Cubans sandwiches I have ever eaten. Staff was efficient. friendly. I will be back next time when traveling to Miami.

Great place for breakfast. Small but cozy ... delicious cuban sandwich and croquetas ... located in midtown lot of great shops and stores around within minutes walking

Great Cuban spot... it's very popular and snug but the wait, if any, is worth it! Love the arroz con pollo wednesdays :)

if you want something cheap and fast cuban food ...then this is the place but thats it its not great cuban food

We were told to go to Enriqueta's for "a killer Cuban sandwich" and wow, what a sandwich! So tasty and really good value. This is a great little place too.

Love this place: a busy, no-frills Cuban diner on the edge of the Wynwood neighborhood. You can get breakfast, big meal platters, awesome sandwiches, dessert pastries, and really good coffee. The servers are kind, even though very busy. Each time I went, they were kind enough to let me practice my rough Spanish all while smiling and answering me slowly. I just loved it. I will return!

As new residents of Miami and after many years of enjoying life and the pleasures of the coffee culture in Italy, we were delighted to find this Cuban coffee destination! The owner, known to her customers as "Lady", is a charming barista who took no time at all to understand our "espresso" preferences: macchiatto for my wife and "ristretto" for me! The outside of the building is really not much more than a "shack" and the interior reminds us of a 1950s "soda fountain" out of a Norman Rockwell painting - well, a slightly Cuban version perhaps! The open kitchen is staffed with what appears to be "mamas" serving rich, tasty dishes of Cuban "daily fare" from croquetas to empenadas to all kinds of rice dishes. But our focus was on the counter service of our favorite espresso drinks, newly translated in their Cuban form: "cortadito" and "cafecito"! Lady uses only Arabica beans and produces a rich, creamy and very smooth espresso, adding just the right amount of milk foam to the "cortadito" to make my wife not be so homesick for Italy any more! Great mix of locals, professionals, young and old and a welcoming crew of waitresses keeping things light and moving during the very busy lunch hour!

Wonderful place with attentive service. The Cuban sandwich is one of the best I have ever enjoyed. The Bistec de Puerco con Papitas is supposed to be the best in the city. The Café con Leche is one of the best ever. This place is a great value period.

Really good Cuban coffee and sandwiches with daily specials, nothing fancy, great counter sit down space

Best "pan con bistec" (steak sandwich) in Miami. Big portions and low prices make this a great lunch spot to enjoy tasty Cuban dishes. And a "cafecito" (coffee) will hit the spot after. Packed with locals it shows that it's one of the city's best lunch options.

A good friend recommended we went to "his favorite Cuban place" as it was near his workplace (AA Arena). I thought it would be just another of the tons of Cuban places in town... WRONG. It was DELICIOUS and the prices very affordable. I will become a regular! Ordered the pork steak with side of chickpeas, rice, salad and tostones... Enough food for an army. A must in town.

I lived for a year in Dominican Republic and I crave the habichuelas (beans) and guandules (green peas kind of), in their drippy sauce. This place has this, and serves its grilled meat dishes with a typical salad of lettuce, tomato, radicchio, vinegar with oil, with rice and plátanos maduros on the side. Brought me right back to DR. The Cuban sandwich was advertised as the best in Miami; my Colombian boyfriend said it was the best he’s ever had. And with two meals for $22, we left satisfied and without breaking the bank. Done.

I consider that place as a best place for lunch in town. Cuban place for like 10-12 tables. Serving typical latin food, pastries and of course cuban coffee. Place is always packed, sometimes you have to wait for the table. Service is fast and attentive. They have everyday lunch specials. Plates are extremely big so never order more than 1.

The "special" Cuban sandwich comes with smushed croquettas on it....amazing! Since eating this, I've been ordering croquettas at other restaurants and smushing them on Cuban sandwiches myself. It works perfectly with the sandwich. Great Cuban breakfasts, and excellent fresh sugarcane juice. Definitely a cheap-eat. Don't expect fancy.

Unexpected gem. We were attracted by the graffiti covered building and packed parking lot. Interior was an old home built mish mash of styles but the Cuban food was tasty and quantity abundant. Not gourmet just yummy. Eclectic mix of patrons.

Good sandwiches. I wish I had called ahead and ordered - if you're going during normal "eating" hours (lunch, dinner), definitely call in advance for pick up! If you're eating in, you should be fine. The sandwiches were great, but to be honest I had really high expectations given all the rave and online reviews. I would definitely go back to see if eating the sandwich fresh rather than taking it to go makes a difference.

Whether hungover or just out for a good lunch, Enriqueta's delivers every time. The plate lunches and the cubanos are too good. Go to the window to the adorable coffee ladies (pushy but endearing) and get a cafe con leche and a tostada. Then walk around midtown while you stuff your face with a media noche or pan con lechon. Delightful.

This casual diner/cafe is well known but still feels like an authentic slice of Miami. The Cubano is a must. A terrific lunch, washed down with fresh sugarcane juice.

Tasty and good value sandwich, it’s huge so we were able to share one between the two of us. Good atmosphere in the cafe too.

Service was fast, and the sandwich was awesome, meat was really tender and the papitas crispy. Recommended.

Enriqueta's is on the corner of 29th Avenue. It has a small parking lot which is usually full and with very tight parking. Most folks park on the street or walk from nearby businesses and residences. The menu hasn't changed much in the 15+ years I have been eating there. Shakes and juices are freshly handmade. Sandwiches and platters are authentic Cuban cuisine - nothing fancy - but customers always get plentiful portions. There is a walk-up counter to place orders to go and a sit-down restaurant inside. The decor is a bit retro. Many locals know the owners and staff on a first name basis. It is a very down to earth atmosphere. Miami Heat players and garage mechanics eat side by side. Prices are very reasonable and the food is consistently good. The steak sandwich and Cuban pot roast are two of my all-time favorites. If anyone wants to get the real deal Cuban sandwich - this is the place to order one.

Enriqueta's is a great place for a cool Wynwood breakfast experience. In the heart of Wynwood (corner of 29th St. and NE 2nd Ave) I categorize it as one of my my awesome "greasy spoon" destination places. It's been around during the ongoing gentrification of Wynwood and has been a great place to hang out, especially for breakfast! I recommend the cafe con leche (served uniquely, where you actually add the expresso to the cup of steamed milk) and the Special Breakfast sandwich (El Grande - Large) comes with their pressed cuban pan bread with: scrambled egg, ham, cheese, tomato & onion all for $6-7 (3 halves, huge helping, can literally share with another)...so delicios! If you are a food snob that seeks impeccable food and presentation and great service, then stay away, but if you like neighborhood diners and joints with good food at great prices, check out Enriquetta's before the real estate developers make her an offer she cant refuse and build condos on that great, up and coming piece of Wynwood!

I asked my cousin, a Miami native, to take me somewhere for real Cuban food. Without hesitation, she said Enriqueta's. I'm not bilingual and haven't had much real authentic Cuban food before (does Brocato's in Tampa count as "authentic"?), so my cousin ordered for both of us. First an order of Maduros (sweet plantains, $2.00) to share, then she ordered up Pan Con Lechon (Pork Sandwich, $4.50) for us both. Truly, it was one of the best pork sandwiches I've ever had -- moist pulled pork smothered with onions on fresh Cuban bread (soft in the middle, crispy on the outside). For desert, I had the flan for $2.50 and a Cafe Con Leche for $1.45. The flan was also some of the best I've had, and the coffee was prepared the traditional Cuban way, with sugar, and delicious. (I think I saw a can of Cafe Bustelo behind the counter, which is what I use at home.) Overall a great experience, but I'm glad I went with someone who knew how to order - I would have been totally out of my element without my cousin! She goes almost everyday for breakfast, too - the restaurant has a take-out window, and the line can get very long in the mornings, she said.

When you come here order their platters they're definitely the thing to get. We chose sandwiches which were good, but not the best choice. Excellent flan and Cuban coffee.

Hard to park, hard to get served, which never slows us down if the food is good. While the sandwiches were piping hot, the quality of ingredients didn't add up to greatness.

. . . but a lot of good food from which to select. The steak sandwich, special Cuban sandwich and seafood paella were all outstanding. The pork sandwich was good, but needed mojo sauce as it was a bit dry. The appearance of the "joint" and their lack of any semblance of order should not be a deterrent for those in search of authentic Cuban food.

We went there as a family on our way to the Wynwood District. The place is buzzing. It offers a great breakfast for just 6 bucks which includes 2 eggs, bacon, Cuban bread, a coffee and orange juice. The place is full of locals incl. firefighters, police and many Cuban folks. I will come back whenever I am around.

We picked up at the window and there is quite a wait. I was warned the walk up service might be slow...it was. The double Cuban is awesome. I had the Croquetta and it was just ok. I luvvvv the Cuban coffee with condensed milk. Mmmm.

They denied us service. We entered with a certified service dog and the owner in a brusque manner did not even let us sit down. I am a client who has visited this establishment on more than 6 occasions. But I definitely don't recommend it anymore.

Been coming here for 13 years and never disappoints the neighborhood has changed but the food has stayed consistent. Bistec a Caballo for breakfast is excellent. Parking can be a pain when busy particular now that the area is so developed but there are meters on the nearby streets

The best chicken sandwich in Miami. Everything is delicious the sandwich the special of the day but my favorite is the chicken breast with salad. Not expensive at all.

I have been coming here since I was a kid in the early to mid 70's... The restaurant has changed owners a couple of times, but truthfully, this place's food has never let up on the quality and quantity. Today, this restaurant boasts some of the best Cuban food in town, located in an up and rising area of Miami called Mid-Town. I won't lie, I know the owners and they are great people, the place is great for lunch for the most part and they are famous for the their steak sandwiches and Cuban coffee (They have been featured in the local paper as great local eats and coffee shops). Personally, I like looking at the menu and munching on their daily special. Thursdays have always been special for me, my dad and I use to always eat here on a Thursday because of their paella special... Talk about food going over the edge of the plate! It is super good and I can never finish the plate. The only negative I have is finding a place to park, this place is always rockin and rolling so trying to find parking even on the road can be a little difficult. But, don't despair, find a spot and come in and eat. The restaurant is clean and the kitchen is visible from any where in the restaurant.

Gotta order the cuban sandwich or media noche (uses sweet bread) - best we've had at good price. Special was very average - pork, maduros, beans, rice. Small place feels very local.

I was here once some years back for Cuban coffee and pastries. My friend reminded me of this place and I cannot begin to tell you how glad I am he did. The place is small, packed for lunch and serving the most delicious food around. A chicken soup is a meal in itself. They even serve it with a side of white rice. The chicken salad is tasty and large enough for 2-3 people. They have daily specials and today's was lechon asado, (Cuban roast pork), which was absolutely delicious. This $10 special comes with salad, moros y cristianos and ripe plantains. I could not finish it all. One recommendation is their codfish croqueta....huge and very tasty. We're returning next week. Parking is difficult to find and you may have to walk a couple of blocks but you need to walk after eating there.

This place opens in morning and shuts down in noon. Its kinda busy busy small noisy place. Food is typical cuban, like Versailles, cafe con leche is awesome! Cuban bread n omellete is wow & filling. Service is ok, place gets little dirty and messy by noon. Good thing is it opens pretty early. Its just ladies running the restaurant. Its not cheap, for the food quality and small restaurant we found it little on higher side. But since this is the only authentic cuban place in midtown area, so we keep returning!!

I visited this restaurant for lunch while I was in the area, and it was an ok overall experience. When you walk into the restaurant you will stumble upon a diner type of environment, and during peak lunch hours it might be a little difficult to find a table. As for the rest of the experience, the service for us was great, very quick and the server was attentive to our needs (we were sitting down at the counter). The food itself was good, I ordered the Arroz con pollo, and it was very flavorful and it was around $10 for the dish. The issue I encountered while eating here was that the food is very very very heavy and with just a couple of spoonfuls I couldn't eat anymore, and I was left with that feeling of fullness for the rest of the day. Overall, the food is flavorful at around $10 per dish (2 can eat from a single dish), it just depends how well you can handle heavy food.

Sat at bar and shared 2 sandwiches. Pan con Bistec especial absolutely delicious. Media Noche, basically a Cubano on sweeter bread, terrific. Sandwiches are huge and inexpensive. 2 sandwiches, fries, 2 drinks under $20. If you want a great sandwich must stop there.

I had the media noche sandwhich and an expresso shot. The expresso was delicious. The sandwhich was fresh and delivered fast. It had good flavor but I cannot say it is the best I ever had. However, for the price and service this place is a good choice for a quick eat.

Great portion and taste!! We had our dog with us so we could not eat inside, so we ate at a nearby plaza.

We visited here before embarking on a cruise. All I can say is that the food was AMAZING!! The coffee was incredible as well. My son keeps asking when we’re going back!!

The reviews brought me here. I went for lunch and ordered a Cuban sandwich and the green plantain fries. Everything very tasty..as it was my first Cuban sandwich I cannot compare but I really liked it. Friendly staff. Friendly customers. I ended my meal with cafe. I felt I had a glimpse of authentic Miami/Cuba.

Good cuban, had the pork for lunch, came with 2 sides and salad. Great value. Coffee was good as well. Diner-style, informal, fast service.

I have returned to Miami and was craving a traditional Cuban Sandwich. Mission accomplished! The sandwiches were outstanding and my wife actually took some of the ham off because there was so much on it. The croquets were not very tasty though. They did not appear to be house-made.

Been there for many decades for good reason. Def. a Miami Institution--cater to everyone from all walks of life--great fresh food with good service at very reasonable prices. Will be back again and again.

I found my way here before catching a flight home. It was lunch time on a Monday and the place was a little crowded but had no problem finding a seat. Looked over the menu but couldnt read a word of it. The waitress was a nice older lady, I told her just bring me whatever you would serve to your own child if they were here. About eight minutes later a giant plate of chicken, salad, beans and rice and plantains arrived steaming hot. It was all delicious. I will be going back next time I am in town and would definately recommend to anyone.

We were in town for a day and wanted to experience a "real" Cuban sandwich. We found it at Enriqueta's. We had the Cuban with croquettes and the special for the day and it was all so delicious. Very friendly service. The place was packed with obvious locals but we felt welcome, even though we know we looked out of place. Highly recommend.

We stopped in because we were in the area. The server was efficient and the food was served hot and fresh. Free parking

Don't be put off by the location or the decor. This is for legitimate Cuban food - I was directed here by cuban american locals who know what they were talking about. No pretense, no flourish, just hearty straight up fare. I could tell neighborhood folks, local business folks, and even Miami's finest were there shoulder to shoulder with diner counter service trying to get their grub on. Hint to travellers: try to Uber or Lyft there. Parking is very challenging. Of course I had a cortadito (essentially a cuban espresso) which was excellent - almost italian in robustness but with that straight up kick from aerated sugar water mixed in. Strong stuff but will keep you going. Of course the piece de resistance was the torta cubano (or cubano for short). Of course you could get the less zaftig single cubano but why would you? The double is recommended. It's not for the faint of heart but the increased amount of porky goodness (especially the braised pork) adds significant flavor and texture to the sandwich. Good amount of acidity too from the pickle and mustard to take out some of the unctuousness. Good texture from the bread too. Now it was a shame I was so full because supposedly, according to the locals, the croquetas are to die. As are the full plates for lunch / bfast. And i couldn't make it back to try other stuff. But you know, it's called a sandwich shop so what else are you gonna get for lunch?

I work about 5min away, and i have heard from coworkers about this place. FINALLY after almost a year on the job, i came to see what it was about. WOW....so glad i did. It is good cuban food at a cheap price. Really. I was shocked with their prices. I had a standard Palomilla Steak and thought, "they cant mess this up", and they didnt. It really was yummy. The steak was soft and so was the Tostones. Warning, it is small and gets full quick. So there might be a small wait time for a table. Parking lot is also tiny! I parked down the street which was not a bad walk after eating. Overall, i love this place and am looking forward to coming back.

Grab a table or sit at the counter hot delish food is delivered fast check out the daily specials they are a value

If you have access to a car, drive over to this cafe and enjoy great breakfast or lunch, Cuban style. There's a small parking lot fronting this place, for convenience. There's also a convenient take-out window. Phone in your take-out order and pick it up on arrival. If eating in, there's plenty of counter and table seating. We grabbed a couple Cuban Sandwiches to go, with an order of maduros. The food is excellent and is a good value. Made for a great lunch on the beach.

The place is bustling and has great food overall. I ordered the steak sandwich and my daughter the Cuban. I was a bit disappointed in the steak sandwich after reading the reviews. :( However, my daughter gave me half of her Cuban which was delicious! I would definitely recommend it!

Little place with great welcoming and an awesome cuban sandwich ! Quantities are huge and all look so good ! Espresso available ! Perfect for a french guy !

Went yesterday (Monday) for lunch and sat at the bar because they had 2 free spots. We both ordered the Pan con Bistec and it was truly delicious. The bread was so good and flaky, the meat was nicely seasoned, the onions were cooked well, tomato slices were nice and ripe, and the potato sticks complemented the sandwich. I saw a lot of the plates that people around me were ordering, and they all looked very good. If you're not a big eater, I suggest you share because the portions are big. The place is small, and the service is relatively fast.

When I used to live in the Design District, this was my regular, weekly breakfast spot. Always full, a lot of turnover. The place is small, usually crowded, very casual; the service is fast and the food is delicious!! AND it's cheap!! You get such good value for the price you pay. Whenever I'm in the area, at the right time, I always stop and get my fix of yumminess.

We read the reviews and wanted a Cuban sandwich. We made it here on a long layover, the place smelled great- and it was closing! We missed our Cuban sandwich but they were so sweet- they gave us some delicious pastries. We left with a great taste in our mouths and an appreciation for their excellent service (and yummy sweet treats)!

They say don't judge a book by its cover, but that's exactly what you should do at Enriqueta's. The no frills, edgy and authentic exterior reveals the same type of eatery inside. The place was packed on a recent Saturday afternoon, we were only able to grab stools at the counter. Nice vantage point here though, it gives you a good idea of what this place is all about. Plus, you will see all of the amazing plates of food pass by. We were here for a good Cuban sandwich, we got that and then some. First we sampled three of the empanadas, each with different fillings. These are very plump and the outside pastry is excellent. We especially loved the ham and cheese version but all were delectable and a bargain at $3 each. On to the sandwiches, we tried both the standard Cuban and the Media Noche version. Both were really fantastic in their own right, but the Noche has sweet chewy bread that adds another level of flavor. The sandwiches are full of meats and are a nice size for the price. One of the best Cubans we've ever had. Service here is friendly but a bit hectic, this is a busy eatery!! We would definitely recommend, for both an authentic experience and a great value for great food.

Great atmosphere the minute you walk in. This place is for locals! The food is excellent and fresh. The service was fast and friendly. So many Cuban specialties to chose from!! I will definitely go back on my next visit for lunch. It was recommended to me by a local. I highly recommend this place for lunch! It has a great Miami vibe!! Thank you Enriqueta’s!!!

We lived in Miami for a number of years and have vivid memories of exceptional sandwiches at Latin American Cafeteria (which has long been closed). In an attempt to satisfy our Cuban sandwich cravings, we consulted our Miami-Cuban friends and they recommended Enriqueta's. We had a media noche, a Cuban sandwich, and a steak sandwich and they were all okay -- but they were not memorable. Miami has obviously "outgrown" its Cuban roots when it comes to a great sandwich.

Enriqueta’s is a really small cafe. You can order outside at the window to go or eat in the little cafe. We were there at Saturday at it was completely full inside. We waited really long for our food but the waitress excused three times for that. But: the sandwiches were awesome 🤩 we had one with grilled fish and one Cuban special. The coffee was good, too. We really enjoyed and would definitely recommend!

amazing sandwiches. just haven't tried a better one in any restaurant or cafe. its a simple place, nothing take away attention from the cubano:)

If you have never had a Cuban Breakfast, this is the place to check out. Get there early any day as they are always packed!

I ordered 2 sandwiches which I shared with my son. A special Cuban sandwich with croquettas, and a double Cuban sandwich which the girl at the order window suggested. OMG the best Cuban sandwiches I have ever had by far. The double Cuban was the most amazing sandwich. I can’t stress enough how amazingly good it was. I don’t care where you are in Miami, you have to try that sandwich. I wouldn’t care if I had to pay $20 for an Uber to get there. If you like Cuban sandwiches, go there.

I thought it was the best because it was the first... but it's the best because IT IS the best! Typical American diner, nice vibes!

Knowing whether to order at the table or at the counter and getting attention can be difficult as it is so busy but the authentic Cuban sandwiches are delicious and cheap!

This is an AWESOME Cuban sandwich shop in Miami! I make it a point to ALWAYS come here when I'm visiting Miami to pick up a medianoche. I took my girlfriend here and she was blown away by the great Cuban sandwiches. It is always busy and you can pick up outside or sit inside to dine. Do not miss out on some authentic Cuban food by passing up on Enriqueta's!!

This place make the best media noche sandwich, great serving portion, top ingredients, huge amount of flavor every bite

under no circumstances go to the outside window service is terrible (Attitude it's Scary.) But inside the ladies are amazing, food is great!

Very bus with the local working crowd, such great prices and fast service. delicious food, had a Cuban, sweet plantains and flan, all super fun and cost like a happy meal in McDonald's, win!!

This was a prime destination in a recent visit to Miami. One site had called the Cubano one of the best sandwiches in the country. I had to see for myself. There are a few sandwiches that I fondly remember, I can add this one to my personal "Greatest" list! I can see why others think the same way.

We headed to Enriqueta’s straight from the airport to satisfy our craving for Cuban food. When we arrived at 2:00 PM on a Tuesday, the place was still packed with lines going out the door. The turnover was pretty quick though and a table became available in 10 minutes. The place is a basic, no-frills, blue collar diner with a pickup window for those who don’t want to eat-in. The service was a bit slow but then, we really came for the food. My husband ordered the special for the day, a platter of Vaca Frita (Flank Steak) with rice and black beans, salad and plantains. The portion was huge and the food packed with flavor. I had the Cubano double which in my opinion is the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. It was delicious and the addition of the lechon asado (pulled pork) took it up a notch. We enjoyed our meal so much and we’ll definitely be back should we return to Miami.

looking for a good breakfast Cuban style , large portions family owned ?? this is the place close to Wynn wood and Biscayne area................great home made croquetas , de jamon y bacalao.......................................................................yummy

Don't get me wrong, after the stories about Cuban breakfasts, we got up late on Sunday and went here. Lots of food, eggs, meat, Cuban toast, juice and Café Latte. Finished off with a Café Con Leche also. But, since we were eating late, I kept seeing dishes being served for lunch that wanted to make me eat again. I truly wish we had time to go back there for lunch...but there are other trips!

THE GOOD: Best cubano sandwich ever. THE NOT SO GOOD: Nothing Let me first say that I have been obsessed with Cubano sandwiches since the film chef and I have to say this being my first trip to Miami since the film that visiting this place was well worth the effort it took in getting there. The sandwich is awesome and don't make the mistake that I did by ordering the double Cubano, as it was even too big for me to finish and I am not one that has a small appetite. This place is very popular and I can see why. I only had the sandwich and whilst waiting, I saw many people come and go. I almost wanted to buy a second one to take home to my wife so she could try it out. I am gushing here a little but this sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. If you are a fan of Cubano sandwiches, then come here and you won't be disappointed.

This is an excellent place to visit if you happen to be around its area. Great location, clean, and good food. Very Cuban style with an American look alike !!! Help could be slower indoors than outdoors. But it might be worth it if you are an easy way person.

Had the special sandwich. Both chicken and steak. Great taste. Place busy, you can tell the locals like it. I like the classical type of environment. Overall pretty good food, lots of people and action.

I have only tried the coffee, which is delicious. I have to take some time to go and try the entire breakfast, because I heard it is very good.

Nothing fancy about Enriqueta's but I enjoyed my Cuban sandwich and sweet plantains. It was very crowded and filled with locals. I saw lots of food that I would have wanted to try if I have the chance to go back.
Amazing Cuban Sandwich
This retro style eatery has exceptional service and some of the best tasting cuban flavors one would expect from this authentic cuban restaurant.
