Had lunch today and then came back for dinner. That's a first!

By FreshTomatoes |

I really missed the all American hamburger. At Eureka I found it and much more. It was stellar! I haven't been in America for six months so I ordered a root beer float. Not on the menu. No problem. Onion rings. These were the best I have ever had. Not greasy. Huge and dipping into a blue cheese saucy sauce. A hamburger that was out of the park. Juicy, good flavor, quality toppings, cooks perfectly. With fries of course. And then came back in the evening. My son had their Fig burger which he loved. More onion rings, sweet potato fries that are forever number one in my book. And I had a salad with watermelon and kale. Oh, and a lovely cabernet. Look, the staff was superior. The bartender super friendly. A server who was kind and attentive. The place is indeed a fabulous joint that makes me happy to be an American. Again.

Great bar for after the Windermere Cup racing

By John G |

A whole lot of beers. This is a great place to stop and have one or a few. They also have good food. I actually liked the roasted Brussels sprouts And if you get to full of beer or food the village shopping area is a very pleasant place to walk around.

Great salads

By CPhillips |

Sometimes you can tell by the vibe of a place and happy looking diners that the food must be good...based on this we took a chance and lucked out on our meals and service. There's an interesting variety of lightish meals on the menu and we enjoyed salads, one with nicely grilled salmon and a variation on tacos. We tried their in house made ginger lime soda and the strong flavours were delicious to an adult palate but not as much so for the 12 year old who ordered it. Great meal.

A Good Choice at University Village

By John12345562 |

We met a friend for lunch at the Village and checked out all the restaurants there before deciding on Eureka. It was the first nice day of the year in the Northwest and we would have liked to sit outside, but the only available tables were in the hot sun. So we went inside which wasn't nearly as nice but still o.k. The lunch menu was interesting and varied and we each enjoyed our selections. Service was quick and friendly.

Horrible experience - cracked drinking glass- ingested glass

By jgnfood |

I had a horrific experience here. The restaurant served me a glass of water which was apparently cracked. I drank water and ended up ingesting glass before I realized what was happening. Server laughed, situation was handled horribly, managers and owners wouldn't respond to phone calls. No one still has taken full responsibility for this. I was sick for weeks and missed work. The insurance company handling the claim offered a tiny amount of money, not even enough to cover all the time it took me to just gather the documentation that THEY REQUESTED. Overall this has been a horrible ordeal and I've been mistreated every step of the way. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM EUREKA!

Burger was good...

By Maria H |

After a long wet shopping day ended up grabbing a bite here. Service was very fast, food was good. Non alcoholic selection was very limited but ended up getting a bottle of sparking water. All good. Do not recommend though the house ginger ale.

Lots of beer, lots of whiskey, and great food

By Lacey O |

Great food and a good selection. They have a lot of beers on tap as well as a good selection of whiskey. My only disappointment was their happy hour doesn't include the rotating micro brews.

hipster atmosphere w good service and food

By P_K_Richardson |

had a quick lunch here yesterday w dad and sis. We arrived a little after 1p and were seated right away on their closed patio. they have a bunch of cool reclaimed wood making up tables and decor. we were quickly helped and ordered drinks and the brussels sprout appetizer to start. delish although less healthy than your steamed varietal. dad ordered the breakfast burrito (good, and large enough to take half home for actual breakfast the next day), my sis had the watermelon salad (needed more watermelon but was tasty), and I had the goat cheese and fig burger (delish fig spread). i wish my healthy group would have ordered the corndog lollipops because they looked amazing. next time. my dad was impressed w all of the locally produced scotches and whiskeys.

Tasty!

By Coug1984 |

Ate here with two college students. We had lavender iced tea-delish and beautiful. Roasted Brussel sprouts and falafel bites as appetizers, a veggie burger, an order of fish tacos and the watermelon salad. Fish taco were pretty good, watermelon salad was a lot of kale, a good portion of chicken and almost no watermelon. Burger was good too. We were happy with our meals, if a bit pricey, and service was good.

Great lunch!

By bridgetl919 |

Popped in here for a quick lunch with some girlfriends and was pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and ambiance. I had the Fig Burger, which was delish. (There is goat cheese on it, how can you go wrong?!?!) Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and engaging. Will definitely return.

Burger and a Batmobile!

By AKcabingirlA |

The Napa Burger is really good. The Chocolate Mousse is just as good. Both together are very filling! The atmosphere is quieter outside (next to the roadway), believe it or not, and you might just see a batmobile, like we did.

Crazy bar food

By Jim&Iris |

Bar food. Fusion style. Some are spicy. Not very difficult to find a table at supper time. Cross the street from Ding Tai Fung, which was too busy. Service is average. 3.0/5.0.

Small Happy Hour

By TXMARTINS |

Drinks are discounted, but the happy hour is disappointing. Small savings but they just give you smaller portions/leas sliders with the happy hour specials leaving you better off to order from the original menu that comes with sides, etc. Wine pours are small, but the beer choices are fantastic.

Met an old friend and the atmosphere was great

By MichiganMan90 |

Went to meet an old friend while passing through. The atmosphere was great. Busy, but not to loud that we couldn't talk. The bartender was very knowledgeable and pointed us I the right direction for whiskey, which is their specialty. Next time through, I will jump at the chance to come here again.

Average food, service under-average

By Francesco L |

Stopped there by chance while doing our shopping. The inside of the restaurant is quite cool, the outside is annoying if, as it happened to us, they put you next to one of the window: Then you get a stream of cold air (the A/C). Apart from that, the food is ok, nothing fancy, but not even bad. The service was not so great, the waitress was visibly unhappy when we only asked to drink water, she had to come back to double check she passed the correct order (she did), someone else collect our credit card in a quite "rough" style.

BURGERS!!

By Nick H |

Great atmosphere. Wonderful burgers. We were able to watch the game and had a great time. Service was a little slow.

Enjoyable

By stephroeder |

We really enjoyed ourselves. Upon arriving and being seated, the staff brings complimentary fruit and veggies, for the kiddos to eat before you order. AWESOME! Nice atmosphere, great food.

Loud but nice staff

By Adventure-n-Fun |

Very loud. The music volume was loud enough that it was an effort to have a decent conversation. The server was extremely nice and gracious, and kudos to whom I presume was the GM for wandering around to see how customers were doing. Our turkey burgers were fine. The meat itself was not as lean as I would have liked, but the amount of goat cheese (graciously subbed for the feta) was generous, as was the avocado. I ordered no bun, and the burger was supposed to be on a bed of arugula, which was almost nonexistent. I do think they try, though, and would come here again.

Scrumptious burgers!

By volnak |

I have been to this restaurant located in University Village a numberof times. The burgers are scrumptious. The customer service is great and the restaurant is beautiful indubitably!

Good find!

By Ruth S |

Don’t frequent University Village so never sure where to dine. This restaurant recommended and the three of us dining together enjoyed it. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was great. One person had the fig burger and the other the kale caesar salad with salmon…both were pleased with their choices. Had to chuckle as the couple behind us said they came for the Moscow Mules…had flown in from Chicago and the first place they stopped was here for those drinks which they had experienced before and consider them the “best.”

Don't waste your time or $$

By golf4funn |

Don't waste your time or money here! Slow service with a 1/2 filled place! Took 5 min before we were greeted then another 30 to get our food! Overdone burger and bland along with bland chicken tacos - the good part of our visit - the beer! Find somewhere else to spend your hard earned dollars

Eureka we found fabulous food!

By Shantell B |

Just moved to the area and stopped in for a casual birthday lunch. The Osso Busso rib appetizer was INCREDIBLE!! I order the lobster tacos for my entree and it was messy but worth the sticky hands. Fresh and not too heavy. I substituted the slaw instead of fries and it also was good. Overall, a great casual place with a nice vibe and great food.

Great lunch

By Hal72 |

Four of us had lunch here. Fish and chips, fish tacos, and two different sandwiches, All were very good and tasty. Fries were also good and there were plenty. Should note that the coffee was also excellent.

Ilokano and Cavitenā Travel

By MARIFE A |

Great people, Andres his name our server was very nice. Pet accommodation was very helpful. They are also can add a chicken grill for my Daughter pet. They are busy place . The chicken wings that we order are perfect compared other places. Crispy and salad was fresh too.

Best in town!

By layovers |

Amazing beer list! Phenomenal burgers! Half-price wine on Tuesdays. Great service for our party of 11. McChord is a bar tending genius!

Ordinary.

By SunTravellers |

We stopped in for a late lunch. My husband ordered a steak salad with the steak medium rare. It came rare but it was a late lunch and he was so hungry he ate it anyway. It had the very messy mahi mahi taco. They were quite spicy and hard to eat. Overall, it was OK but we won't stop in here again. The service was fine because the place was almost empty at 1:30 in the afternoon on a weekday…..maybe 4 people in the whole restaurant.

Good food

By Simpleguy22 |

Ate here last time I visited. Sat outside to enjoy the fresh air. Good food. Good service. Easy to order and pay through the app.

Average food, good service

By Sandy N |

A friend and I had lunch here I found the service to be good but the food to be average. I had the hickory pulled pork sandwich with French fries and it was ok. The fries were good, but I was disappointed in the sandwich. My friend's lunch was also ok, but not great. The restaurant had a nice ambience. I may try it another time and see if the first impression can be improved.

Crazy Good!

By MattL |

So as a searcher-of-new-deliciousness I found the wonderful Eureka Burger. With all types of proteins and amazing toppings (I had an elk burger with fig jam and some other special toppings) there is something for everyone. You can sub out a bun for a lettuce wrap, and basically customize anything. They also have an extensive whiskey menu and rotating brand specials. Here's the absolute best thing - the sweet potato fries. I LIVE for some sweet potato fries....these are thicker cut and drizzled with a light honey and cinnamon combination. I have been back 4 times just to get them to go 💣 Little busy every time I have gone, but other than that, no qualms.

Loud and unimpressive food

By dawndugan |

We were there for the brunch menu. My mom had the french toast which was very nice. I am a vegetarian so I chose the avocado toast and a bloody mary. The avocado toast had a very thin spread of watery avocado spread. The potatoes that came with it were very nice, but the entree was way over priced. The bloody mary was undrinkable. I didn't have any of it and the server wouldn't take it off the bill. The music was too loud and although my mom and I sat side by side so we could visit, we still could barely hear each other.

Great burgers

By Tiffany S |

My husband and I have eaten here on several occasions. We also bring friends and family here. The burgers are great, and we have always had good service. The fries are a bit lackluster--really no taste...needs a fun seasoning. My husband loves the jalapeño burger with the egg. The beer selection is quite extensive and on most visits the wait staff are good about describing them.

Great last minute choice!

By AKHerb |

We were with the grandkids and their parents so seating for six was needed. Eureka had it - no waiting tonight. Our selections varied among the favorites including the burgers and tacos. The mahi-mahi was just right, nicely presented and satisfying. Service was prompt, polite and unobtrusive. I couldn't decide from the ample selection of beers and the waitress helped me narrow it down to a very nice amber. All in all, a good experience. The place was energetic but not too noisy, food was very good and service was engaging, helpful and prompt. Would make a planned return next time in town.

Excellent food

By Steven H |

Very friendly staff, seated promptly. The food was excellent, had some nachos with chicken and a buffalo burger

Great Quality

By private1_90732 |

We were walk in customers and promptly seated outside per our request. Order was accurately taken and delivered within a reasonable timeframe. Menu was extensive. Food quality and portions were excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. It was reasonable value. We would eat there again.

Great find in the University district!

By Kailey T |

My friends and I were in Seattle for about a month near UW and happened upon Eureka! one day while at the Village. Needless to say, it become one of our favorite places to get food. I think we went here about 5 times in the month that we were there. The burgers are great and the quality of food is fantastic. I would also recommend getting the nachos as they are delicious! The service is good and the atmosphere is nice, not to mention the large beer selection they have. This is a great place for a good price. Definitely worth a try.

Light Lunch While Shopping

By Henry F |

My wife and I stopped by Eureka while shopping at U Village. My wife ordered chicken tacos and I had the soup of the day (tomato). Both dishes were just ok, with the soup being under-seasoned. Probably won't try again.

Great experience and food!!!!

By On dah road |

Eureka in the U-village is so much fun! Along with good food. The blackened fish tacos were tasty ( their topped with a delicious mango salsa)😋. Soooo good. Also the chicken sliders with fries were amazing. The sandwich is topped with slaw and mashed potatoes (must try). We’ll be back for happy hour - which starts at 2! Ohhhh and don’t forget to order the roasted Brussels sprouts. They are to die for. Affordable, great atmosphere and awesome food. 👏🏼

Salmon chowder, wowza!

By MontanaRangerRick |

My daughter and I enjoyed dinner here last week while she was searching for graduate student housing (don't ask). The food, service, and ambiance were all very good, the salmon chowder deserves 5+ stars. Interesting menu, when was the last time you saw deviled eggs as an appetizer? They were excellent. Great selections of beer, on Wednesday they host local brewiers and you can keep the glass if you sample their brew. In University Village shopping complex, convenient to UW and overall fun experience.

Wonderful "Find" for Lunch!!

By Nancy Z |

Best Nachos ever!! Also liked the fish tacos! The bloody mary was a little too spicy for me but the waitress brought me extra tomato juice. Terrific staff and nice spot in the University village to eat! Also looked like a great place with kids! Lots of beer and wine cholces too!

Good Sandwiches, Great Beer Selection

By Chris K |

Stopped in here to visit with Seattle friends. Enjoyed appetizers, sandwiches and beer. It is a great place to sit, chat and eat.

First Time's a Charm!

By Debra D |

We happened upon this restaurant while walking through U-Village in Seattle visiting our son and family. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere rockin', and the food and beer good. We definitely will return!

Pretty good

By RADCTurton |

We visited this University Village, Seattle location of this chain. The greeting was warm and the servers friendly and attentive. The menu is standard american stuff, burgers, fries etc but what we had was cooked well and tasted great. Local beer and wine was on offer and we sampled a couple, very nice. You won't be blown away with a haute cuisine but what you will be is very satisfied and at the end of the meal, full. Recommended

good food

By Boomologist |

excellent salmon. cooked to perfection. nice seating inside and out. friendly staff. close to specialty shops

Middle of the road

By Nick Clarkson |

Good selection of beverages and decent menu. Seemed to lack ambience and was surprisingly empty when we attended. Service was ok as was the food but sadly there was nothing special to make us come back.

Edible

By Brenda and Chuc... T |

Not the best burger. The hamburgers were barely room temperature and bland. Disappointing as the decor and service were both great.

Basic Burger

By svaderah |

Portends to be an upscale burger place. But falls short. The burgers are fairly basic, not bad but no wow factor either. Last visit was however a total let down, from undercooked onion rings to way overcooked burgers.

Second choice

By @895lawrencei |

We took a LYFT over from town to the area for Chinese but the wait was outrageous so not knowing the area we decided to try this spot and we are glad we did. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, outdoor seating and very friendly staff. I love seeing the manager helping the staff! I had the ribs and she had the mahi tacos. Was impressed with the value for the quality of the food. Would easily return.

It is too the best burger...!

By William L |

This Eureka American Cheeseburger is the best in Seattle. What? OK, I agree Uneeda burgers are pretty good, but Eureka's are built better. Here, I'll slice it in half; see, from bottom up it's bun bottom with secret sauce then on top of that is lettuce to keep the meat juice away from the bun, then tomato, then pickle. Next comes the fat juicy beef patty (see this juice running down my arm?) then the melted cheese and last the onions with the poppy seed bun top capping it all. And the bun's the right size for the meat patty. It's just built right. See what I mean? OK, OK, I hear you, Uneeda's might be bigger, but bigger isn't better, my friend. The guys who work at Tesla across the street eat here so you know it's cool. Also, their motto here is "No crap on tap." Can't argue with that. Hey, now that I taught you something about burgers, why don't ya buy me a beer?

Fantastic food and atmosphere!

By Derek Stoughton |

This was one of the better meals that I've had in a long time. There was a wide selection of food and beers, and everything was customizable and prepared from scratch from their kitchen! Also, the service was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be back!!

Even if you don't drink beer, Great Food

By Jacqueline B |

Came upon this restaurant while shopping at University Village. Even with it raining, you could sit out in their heated patio. I had the tomato bisque soup. Very delicious to start with followed by their version of basamlic flank steak salad with blue cheese. Yum Yum! Wait staff were polite and friendly always anticipating when you might need them. Would definitely come back.

Amazing Burgers!

By Shawn G |

We love to visit Eureka if we are out shopping at University Village or just out for a date night. They have a great list of beers and often live music on weekend!!

decent

By seagaldevi |

We ate here for the first time last night. Pros: We did not have to wait long and it was a Friday evening. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. The menu has a reasonable variety of choices and allows for substitutions. My servicing size was good. Not too big and not designer small ;-) It was a healthy portion and I was full when I was done. The deviled egg appetizer was quite tasty though you got 2 eggs (4 halfves) for $8. They have a child's menu that is a coloring picture to keep. Both the regular fries and the sweet potato fries were hot and tasted good. The Cobb salad was presented nicely with a good amount of ingredients. It was heavy on the red onions which is fine for some. Fortunately they are all organized in groups so you can pull much of them off the salad if there are too many for you liking.. The chicken was 'blackened' a bit and you can taste it. I liked it, my daughter did not. The American Cheeseburger was good and niclely cooked. The bun was dry on one side and I found I needed some mayo to help it out. The condiments/sauce on the other bun were good, just thin. I'd eat it again. Cons: Like so many restaurants today, it is very loud inside and hard to hear each other. Since this is a brand new restaurant, they either did choose to include ceiling sound suppressent material or they wanted the loud bistro enviroment. Either way, I know I am not alone in being weary of restaurants that are so loud you give up talking to each other. We got the cheesburger off the kids menu for my grandchild and the bun was burnt, to the point that most of the bun was actually black. The meat was also over cooked to the point of there being char on the meat and it was hard in places. My grandchild was willing to try eating it was too over cooked and the bread tasted burnt. My SIL tried it and said the meat did taste burnt. We brought it to the attention of our waitperson who apologized and said she would talk to someone. When the bill came, the $8 charge was still on the bill. My SIL was exhausted from a long work week and did not want to bring it up again so we paid it. We got the blackened fish tacos, which were disapointing. They were dry with very little salsa on them. We actually could not see many of the salsa ingredients looking at the two tacos. They were rather dry and bland. Too bad as they were presented quite nicely and could be a starring item on the menu. There was very little dressing on the Cobb salad and required us to request more on the side. For those who like very little dressing, this could be a win. After our food came, our waitperson was pretty busy. She did stop by and ask how things were early on. Once we got into eating and discovered the trouble with my Grandchild's burger, it was hard to flag anyone down. And they were all working hard, not standing around talking. So it is not a complaint about her service, just an issue with a busy night. It also took a bit of time to get our check, and it was still busy when we did leave. My daughter got the Manhatten which was beautifully presented and tasted yummy. However, there was a single HUGE ice cube in the drink. There was more icecube than drink in her highball glass. All in all, I was looking forward to going there, it presents well on the website. I might try it again with a friendy for lunch but I do not think the rest of my family would come again.

Good Food Near UW

By tac0721 |

If you are near the University of Washington ..this is a place for good food in a good setting. Located in the Village Shopping we had a party of six. The service was very good and there are good choices for small children. We got sandwiches and salads ,which were well prepared and rather tasty. ! It's a good choice among the many in The Village

A surprise find!

By Gerard M |

After shopping for almost 2 hours at Room and Board, we were starving for lunch, tired and cranky. Tom at Room and Board suggested Euraka! and we're glad he did. My wife's burger was fantastic and my steak salad was delicious. Draft beer selection was HUGE. Manager, John Cosgrove couldn't be nicer, checking on every table. Staff really seemed to like him too. Finally, they have a wall of whiskies as beautiful as an art collection. Unfortunately it's by the rest rooms because it is stunning. If you're in the area, looking for really good food at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Euraka!

Good Burger

By Norman S |

Easy in, comfortable place to be on a very wet day, good burger, great steak salad, I would go again.

Best lunch near University of Washington

By Sweetttt83 |

We visited the campus and decided to do some shopping in the university center walked by this restaurant and reviewed the menu. They have a great beer selection and very good food choices. Our group had the eureka burger, watermelon salad, fish tacos and the chicken sandwich all was great including the fries.

Great food and even better service with a smile

By GenotheViking |

My other hangout was packed before the Husky Football game so I tried Eureka. Best move ever. The fish tacos were as good as it gets and the fried Mac and cheese balls were spectacular. Great food, atmosphere and the best service ever. Good prices and easy parking even in a crowd. Ready to go back for sure.

Decent First Lunch Here

By Bill C |

We were doing some last minute shopping yesterday in U-Village and stopped in here for lunch. All three of the kids ordered burgers while I had the watermelon salad and we shared the chicken nachos as a starter. First off, our waitress was wonderful --- super friendly and helpful and very responsive. I thought the restaurant had a nice vibe and wasn't too noisy during the lunch hour although we did sit in the back in a booth. In terms of the food, the kids had good things to say about the burgers, but I didn't try them. They were a nice size, we're cooked to order and looked good. Many of the reviews recommended the burgers and while I wanted to try one, didn't really feel like one that day. I really liked my watermelon salad quite a bit. The watermelon was fresh, served mixed with arugula and quinoa as well as walnuts and feta with a nice light dressing. It was really quite large and after sharing the nachos, I only managed to eat half of it and bring the rest home. The one major letdown was the nachos. I really disliked the salsa served with them. It had a very distinct taste, but one I didn't like at all and unlike a mild, chunkier salsa. It was quite generously covering the dish so overwhelmed everything else. Additionally, I though they were fairly light on the cheese --- while I don't enjoy nachos covered with piles of melted cheese, there is a happy medium and they didn't find it. I would probably come back again and have one of the burgers as well as a different appetizer before deciding whether it would be a regular stop for casual fare or not. A second visit would likely determine whether Eureka remains an average rating or increases.

Great location in the University Village; Good Food, Atmosphere, and Service

By Greg B |

We actually went here for both lunch and for dinner. We tried it for lunch and loved it so much we went back for dinner . I had the beet veggie burger both times. I love beet burgers but they are hard to find and not often done right. This one was Service was top notch. Prices around $20 give or take per item…including the burgers. Easy free parking as part of the University Village mall.

Homophobic Corporate Team, Gross Food

By DianaShelly |

I feel very unsafe dining here as a queer individual. The corporate leadership has made multiple announcements that they are not supportive of the queer community and do not wish for us to be part of their customer base. The salmon I ate was not all the way cooked, my partner's steak was chewy and barely seasoned, and the whole meal cost an arm and a leg. I have friends who've gotten food poisoning from eating the meat served here.

Everything was wonderful until we came to the mains…

By Jedimasterkush |

I’ve been to three different Eureka’s in California and everyone of them are spot on top notch food and service from the word go to the time you leave. I was hoping for some more here at my first stop at the Seattle Eureka. At the front door we were introduced to the manager who brought us a complimentary appetizer of brussels sprouts… OK… But trippy ( not everyone is a Brussels sprouts fan). The service was great all the way through and the waiter, manager and other people who came by the table were all awesome. We went with the mac & cheese balls and Osso Buco riblets appetizers, both were as I had remembered. All of the drinks we had were spot on from accoutrements to proper glasses to properly made drinks. When the entrees arrived, that’s where the problem lied. I ordered the 28 day aged burger on the Fresno style burger. Out of all the times that I have been to all of the Eurekas and had this burger before unfortunately I have to say this was the most not happening burger I have ever had at a Eureka. All the other Eureka’s hamburgers that I have had make your mouth water bite after bite. To be honest I just wanted to be done with this burger it was not enjoyable at all and that is really surprising for all of the times I have been to Eureka burgers in my past. We also got the fried chicken and cornbread and the cornbread was hard as a rock… A little disappointing. All in all I will probably come back and give them another try but just a little disappointed how everything ended up but once again the service was awesome.

Nice, casual lunch spot

By MeAgain8 |

I had a day to myself while my daughter attended UW orientation, so I spent it exploring the nearby University Village. It was a beautiful day so I was immediately attracted to Eureka's outdoor dining area. I enjoyed a lovely Chicken Ceasar and glass of wine. Service was above average for what is more or less a brew pub.

Birthday Treat

By Rainier72 |

Eureka! Our family found a great place to eat. What a birthday treat this was for me. Eureka in the U Village has the looks of a typical bar type restaurant, but the place's claim to fame is their gourmet burgers. Most of the items are burgers, but the there are other dinner like items like steak and salmon among other things. Most of the burgers do have some uniqueness to them. My tortilla burger was a Mexican burger on a grilled tortilla. Very tasty and spicy. Fun touch with the tortilla instead of the bun. I heard the portobello dish was quite good. Lots of different items ordered, including a jalapeno egg burger, and heard no complaints. The place is a bit dark, but didn't bother most of us. Might be one drawback. Service was great and the for the kind of place it is, it's very affordable. I'm sure we'll be back.

Delicious and very accommodating!

By lizschilling |

We went to Eureka! in the University village and they had amazing service. We had a large group of 14 and they quickly rearranged their seating area to accommodate us while being very gracious! The service was top notch, speedy and friendly. We had 11 different checks and the server didn't show any frustration with having to do that. The food was amazing, greatly priced and great portions!

Good Ending to a day

By eskokid |

In Seattle on a solo trip. Decided on Eureka due to close proximity to hotel and good type. Very happy with decision. First the beer I like in MN is Blue Moon. Not available however bartender recommended a local brewery's similar version. Excellent recommendation. Second my order was served promptly albeit it was a burger. The turnaround was quick. Third the burger was cooked to order (Medium Well). It was very good to taste. Rather than having more fried than I should have the portion was perfect. Fairly confident I will return since I am here for 5 more days. No reason not too that's for sure. Second th

Eureka: A Cry of Joy or Satisfaction

By PanoramaPoint |

The history and meaning of the name of this American fare restaurant is interesting. Perhaps it was not as exciting as the meaning of the word, but we had a pleasant experience at Eureka! with both service and food. Since they were full at lunch, rather than waiting to be seated, we chose to sit in the bar at a long plank table shared with others. Server Nolan quickly took my custom order for the fish tacos that were delicious. My friend enjoyed her Fresno Fig Burger and French fries. Eureka! reminds me somewhat of Red Robin with some tweaked items and attractive presentations. With all the restaurant possibilities at University Village, we were glad we tried Eureka! We suggest you do the same.

Delicious Brunch

By TannisRob |

We were leaving Seattle, and wanted to explore the University Village area. We deiced to try Eureka! and were not disappointed. I had the Avocado Toast, which was delicious. The servers were friendly and attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. I noticed that another table had their dog with them under the table, and the server brought a bowl of water for him and that made me smile.

Pretty Average

By nemagem |

Was shopping at the U-Village and stopped by for lunch. it was really slow and the restaurant was maybe a third filled up. We sat at the bar which was also half filled and most of the customers had already been served. it took about 10 minutes for us to be acknowledged and be provided a menu. Maybe another 10 minutes for our order to be placed. The service was VERRRRYYY slow, the food was okay - not mind blowing in any way. We didn't have any drinks so i cannot comment on that. I would not recommend going here if you are very hungry or don't have endless amount of time to while away. there are quite a few alternatives in the vicinity (right across the street in either direction)

Lovely Lunch

Matt is brilliant! Food is really fresh and tasty! Chicken tacos were fab! The breakfast egg sandwich is huge and full of stuff. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Came here for a freinds lunch as there aren't to many options at U Village. I was pleasantly surprised. We shared the Brussels sprouts, which were cooked perfectly crispy but not dry and the flavour was great. Then we had the crispy chicken sliders. Again perfectly crispy and delicious. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is the sauce on the chicken sandwich could be a tad less spicey, as it could blow your head off if they put to much on and second, there was a $2 upcharge which no one mentioned if you wanted the fries rather than the mash potatoes that it comes advertised with. $5 Mimosa great (this was a Saturday) and the service was awesome. Will go back again.

Lots of beer & wine - but the food? Meh.

Decided to pop in here for lunch while shopping at University Village. As expensive as eating out has become, I expect my food to be delicious, not meh. The blue cheese hamburgers ordered by companions were tasteless and contained microscopic servings of the cheese. My Butchers Flat Iron Dip was just average. Come for the Spirits, I guess, but don't expect the food to wow you.

Money Pit with Great Concepts, Poor Delivery

By Tony K |

We chose this restaurant while shopping in the local outdoor village. It was rated quite well in the greater Seattle area. We ordered the truffle cheese fries for an appetizer which were quite good and triggered out taste buds for the main dishes. My daughter just wanted really good wings and ordered the orange glazed wings. My mother wanted something delicious and ordered the grilled fish tacos. My son and I ordered burgers, his was the Eureka Cheeseburger and I ordered the Jalapeno Egg Burger. Everyone was hungry, the food was delivered and tasted mediocre at best. The fish tacos was the most flavorful thing ordered that night and they were mostly just spicy. My daughter ate three wings and politely declined the rest of her dinner. My son ate his burger and so did I but the egg yoke was the coldest part of the burger and flavor was not intriguing. The music volume was quite loud and we spoke directly to each other across the tables. It should have been turned down one octave and the loud roar would have mellowed out but instead it was turned up at one point. I was the only one who could hear the waiter and we ate in silence rather than choosing to literally yell across the table. The menu looked fantastic and initially my mouthed watered with the choices but the delivery was terrible, the price was a bit on the high side especially for the poor quality. Next time we will just stop by Chipotle or a little hole in the wall, especially being in that area.

Nice surprise

We came here on Saturday for lunch. Hadn’t been here before so we didn’t know what to expect. We sat at the bar. The wait staff, bartender, hostess were all great. The food was very tasty. We had the cowboy burger and tacos. All very good and perfectly made. What a great experience. We will be back.

Eureka!!!

Very good food and very good service! If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would! I had chicken tacos and they were quick and delicious! My sister and grandmother also enjoyed their food very much! Our server was quick and happy to help. Great experience here!

Happy hour rocks

Lots of choices in the village, but you should check out Eureka. Friendly wait staff, fun atmosphere, lots of beer on tap and other beverage options, and good portions of tasty food. We ordered the brussel sprouts (wow), mahi mahi tacos (quite good) and finished with the apple crisp (pretty good).

Awesome Burgers!

We were trying to select which restaurant to go to and happen to come across Eureka. Who doesn't have burgers when they are in America? So...we went for it. It was not a bad choice! Burgers were fantastic - juicy, tender, tasty. (I had the Original Eureka!) Truffle fries are great too. Another plus point, as my friend was vegetarian, all their burgers can be made with veggie patch as well and it gave her a lot more choices. Must try if u ever see them in the states.

Large selection of beers on tap, upscale bar food.

I love coming for the beers, we also like the sides. The picture is of Brussels sprouts. I have never likes them but my wife does. I tried this time and I have to say they were very good. Our wait person was Sarah and she was great what a smile.

Excellent Happy Hour

Exceptional Happy Hour - menu, beer selections, portion size. Excellent service, pleasant outside seating. Many interesting menu choices. If looking for an early dinner/HH, don't miss this restaurant.

Good option at U-Vill

No regrets stopping here on a quiet Sunday night for happy hour. The "naked" bun-free option for burgers was welcome: instead of a flaccid leaf of lettuce, the bun is replaced with a mound of arugula. The beer list also contained some of my favorite brewers, and a wider than usual spectrum of ales beyond the pale.

Great drinks and burgers!

I stopped in for dinner by myself and sat at the bar. Had great and attentive service and watched as my delicious cocktail (I think it was called the Ruby Red and it was good!) was crafted in front of me. I ordered the Fig and Goat Cheese Burger which was not only unique but really tasty! It was a little pricey but I did choose the fancy cocktail and premium burger so I can understand.

Everything is delicious

This restaurant is a bit loud and conversation is difficult without raising your voice or I would say five stars here. The food is so well prepared and served hot and delicious. The mac and cheese balls are an absolute must try! The portion sizes are on the large size of adequate in my opinion. The sliders are also delish, we were in town for four days and we came back to Eureka! a second time because we all enjoyed the food so much. It is a crowded venue, near University of Washington - but well worth a little raising your voice to talk a bit!!

Great food. very interesting menu and reasonable prices

Ate dinner with the girls. All the food was extremely well prepared. Went back and set at the bar with my husband. We found the bar master, Brian, to be so welcoming and provide us with a good time along with great service.

A restaurant chain that rises above the mundane

By Jeff C |

To be honest, when we landed at Eureka for a late lunch on a Saturday, my expectations were not too high- a chain restaurant at a shopping mall is usually uninspiring. Yet, the place looked nice, hip for college students yet still family friendly. We were greeted and seated promptly, and drink orders taken by an attentive server. The menu was not your standard burger menu, and we were pleased with the variety of option. I actually had a little trouble making a decision. I know some restaurants insist on destroying a burger by cooking everyone's order well done. At Eureka!, it wasn't well done, but done well. I asked for medium rare and that's exactly what I got. Thank you. Our server checked on us regularly without being a bother, and nobody was rushing us out once our meal was done. We will most definitely be back.

Great food

Amazing great place with great tasty food for family or friends i recommend it specially burgers are good .

Skip the Happy Hour!

By TXMARTINS |

With only a dollar off drinks or happy hour items that seem less expensive it is really just smaller portions or less included for a discounted price (friend chicken sliders just come without the side of fries). The wait staff is good, the beer and wine list good, but the food is just average. We tried this place more than once to see if there were better items, but have walked away slightly disappointed each time.

Beer Done Well!

By anakinkaid |

If you love beer but want to learn more, then this is the restaurant to visit. All their servers are certified beer sommeliers - just like wine sommeliers in a traditional 5 star restaurant. Their beer knowledge is amazing They have no problem describing the wide range of beers offered and matching them to the outstanding food served at Eureka.

Great food and service

Good place to go for business happy hour! Good food and atmosphere. Veggies or meat! Place to go in U Village!

Brews and food

By KaliMT |

Wanted to try a new place and have a beer. My friend said she had been to one in CA so we decided to try. Great menu, beer list and whiskey list. Most of the beers were from Washinton and they rotated. I had a peach gose, which was perfect for a summer day and a great complement to my tacos. If I didn't have grad school the next day whiskey would have been ordered. We both had tacos. She had fish and I had shrimp. Both were very tasty and just the right amount. Great atmosphere! Wish we had one at home!

Ordering is difficult but food is great

Stopped for lunch with the family. The wings were really good as were the burgers. Was hoping for more with the beers and the ordering process is hard and confusing.

Solid choice for dinner at U Village

By taragl |

We came to Eureka for a weekend dinner after shopping at University Village. We were able to be seated immediately and service was fast and friendly. Our truffle fries were excellent, as were our burger and steak dip sandwiches. Don’t hesitate to sit on the enclosed patio during the winter, the heaters make it more than sufficiently warm for dining.

Really nice place in the Village

Very refreshing to find a restaurant with Reasonable prices and very good food. The Choices of entrees was nice, and fairly Extensive. We had the chicken tacos, fish tacos And a burger. We all agreed were very good. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend Eureka!

Some good, some not as good

By Bellinghamster64 |

Went to Eureka on advice of friends. Seemed like a popular spot. Lots of beer on tap. 3 out of the 4 dishes we had were pretty good but my Eureka cheeseburger, which is supposedly a specialty item, was cold.

Great value

Great food, great atmosphere, great beer, and a great price. We found this place after a football game and I would definitely come back again.
