We love dim sum but have not been in a while. We got 5 small plates (shrimp and chive dumplings, tripe, tofu skin, and jelly dessert) plus a small single serving plate of clams in black bean sauce. While the tofu skins were really tasty, a couple of the clams were bad, and the dumplings fell apart when picked up. The rest okay, but nothing to write home about. The real surprise came when the bill totalled up to $61. I asked for a review and learned the lowest priced item, the jelly desert, was $7.50. Needless to say, we will not be going back.

Not impressed. We were theonly couple in the place. They have so many places to sit. Makes us wonder why they put us at a table that was very wobbly. We were served quickly but our food came out at diffrent times. We will not be back.

This was the former New Wong's King Seafood; which was one of the premier Chinese restaurants in Portland. We went in to check out the dim sum menu for lunch. They did not disappoint. The choices are plentiful, the portions are very good, the quality and prices as well. The service was a little better than expected of your typical dim sum cart places. Looking forward to returning and trying out some of the regular lunch/dinner offerings.

This place always delivers! The Dim Sum lunch carts are my absolute favorite, and the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The dining halls are clean, and the staff is always friendly. The cart service is a lunch hours thing and after that - you order off the menu. It's a little less exciting but still tastes amazing! I've been a loyal customer for four years, and I always bring my well-traveled, out-of-town guests here—it’s a guaranteed hit! I was genuinely shocked by the negative reviews on TripAdvisor and immediately felt the need to share my own positive feedback. This isn't a fast-food chain or a watered-down version for the standard American palate; this is authentic Asian cuisine. And while we may not all speak the same language, we always manage to communicate well and share a smile. Lunchtime here is a bustling adventure. It’s usually packed and loud, but that noise is the sound of good company and amazing food. The prices are great, and between the value and the taste, the wait time is minimal and completely worth it—even when it stretches to 20 minutes on a busy afternoon.

Standard dim sum presentation on a weekend morning with circulating carts of food and ladies telling you what's on their cart. They do the usual marking with dots on a sheet and then everything is totaled up as you depart. A few of the dessert custards were very cute. The regular offerings of typical Cantonese style dim sum were savory, the right temperature, and went down easy. This restaurant is in the space formerly occupied by Wong's King, a well known dim sum and Chinese restaurant in the Portland area.

OK, this is probably the worst spot that I could ever recommend. Do not go here under any circumstances.. my kids and I waited over 20 minutes as for my New Yorkers and didn’t mind the weight but then to be told there was no dim sum, which was the main reason that we had gone there. The customer service is absolutely disgusting.
Best experience with Chinese restaurant in recent years
Excellent Cuisine is like a fresh breath of air after we had a few negative experiences with Chinese restaurants recently. We have been here many times whenever we visited Portland. Food were always delicious. This time two of our take-out orders were the slippery egg with beef Chow-fun. Appreciated their thoughtfulness to pack the egg sauce separate from the noodles, so the noddle don’t get soggy … We had ordered this exact same noddle from many other restaurants before, no one has ever separated the egg sauce from noddle for a to-go order, because most restaurants employees were lazy or they just didn’t care! I can get down to nitpicking detail, I am pretty fussy about certain things. Wished they put some green onion into the egg sauce, the sauce was almost prefect (without it). Loved that they did not use the cheap foam take-out boxes for hot food. They also cut a hole on the box for the Deep fired salt and pepper squid, so steam can gets out. We were pleasantly pleased with our experience.
